Wonderful cable car ride from Rudesheim, views of vineyards and surrounding countryside, very peaceful but a bit chilly in the wind. A short walk to the monument, bit of a hill, but worth it. Amazing views of the Rhine and all around, the monument is massive, really impressive and the history (to read on placards) is very interesting. Nice little outdoor takeaway for drinks and snacks, note.. you pay a deposit for proper cups. Restaurant as well but didn't use it. A place well worth seeing!!

We had a good tour up here, we got the ring tickets which included cable car through the vineyard , chairlift and boat back. The view at the monument is beautiful totally worth it and the hike through the forest to the chairlift is good too.

Impressive monument, fun to ride the gondola up there. There is a little restaurant up there. Impressive views! It's worth going up to see. If the weather is good, it is a nice day. We had poor weather so we didn't stay long. You can ride the gondola down (keep your ticket) or walk down through the vineyards.

Lovely views up here, was on a Rhine tour up through here on the way back to Frankfurt. Amazing views on a blue sky day. One of the best views to end a day

Super nice spot to enjoy the sunset and the sweeping views over the Rhine valley. I enjoyed the fact that the French contemplated blowing up the whole thing during their occupation of the area after WW1. Fortunately, they didn't. Hence: Vive la France.

Well worth visiting the temple and monument. You can hike or be lazy (I was) and take the gondola. Beautiful vista of the Rhine and city. Instead of queuing up, they have a machine you can purchase your tickets.

Amazing views from the top! However you make your way up by the cable car or by foot you won't be disappointed. We went up by cable car and walked down alongside all those vines with amazing views. The walk down takes approximately 30-40 minutes and it really nice.

A free (aside from cost of parking or cable car) and beautiful sight to see with great views on the way to the Niederwald monument. Would make for great pictures if you're there on a day less crowded than the August 2022 Saturday afternoon we were there, but great to see nonetheless. Absolutely incredible views from the observational deck

The experience is great and the views are awesome, but both times we have made use of the Ski-lift we have been met with an EXTREMELY rude "conductor". He is sarcastic, arrogant and when I accidentally scanned my tickets too soon (you need to wait for the people infront to be seated on the ski lift before you can scan your mobile tickets), I giggled and made a joke and said "I am so sorry, I heard you but I clearly didn't listen". His response verbatim was "yes, typical woman". I am not sensitive, but a little bit of respect goes a long way. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had this type of experience with this young man.

What an amazing view. So much to soak in on a short ride into a quaint little town on the Rhine River. Check out all the tours available. They are well worth it.

Rising above Rüdesheim in the cable car, the world unfolded like a painting. The vineyards stretched across the hills, kissed by sunlight, while the mountains stood tall in quiet majesty. Below, the streets and gardens seemed miniature, a delicate tapestry of life and color. Fellow travelers waved and smiled, fleeting connections shared in a moment suspended above the earth. From this height, every detail—trees, rooftops, and winding paths—felt magical, as if the city whispered its stories only to those who dared to rise. Up here, between sky and land, time slowed, and the beauty of Rüdesheim lingered in my heart—a memory etched forever among the clouds.

From the lower station, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the Mountain station using the cable car. The cable car goes slowly and allows you to enjoy the lovely views and take pictures. From the mountain station, one has to walk for about 30-40 minutes ( depending on your pace) to reach Niderwalddenkmal.

It was great fun to use this scenic cable car. The view was stunning as we came down.

Nice experience over an astonishing landscape.

If you pass through Rudesheim this cable car is a must . It s smooth and the landscape is outstanding ! One star less because the cable car is not stopping so basically you are steping in while is moving. Hard for people with walk difficulties !

A private museum with great and unique collection of mechanical musical Instruments. A what is great that is not just exhibition, you receive a 45 minute guided tour, where you you get to know and to hear different instruments. Guides know at least 4 different languages, what is very rare also. The museum was worth every cent I paid. Just be ready that tours start every hour, so you might need to wait a bit.

Best museum I have been to in a long time. I wanted to see all of them play but understandably from a time perspective that just isnt possible. It truly is sad that we have lost so much of that beautiful craftmanship. The building itself is beautiful. The tour guides were very friendly. All in all I would honestly love to return if I am ever in the area again.

I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. The guide was informative and fun and the history of these incredible contraptions was fascinating. The tour was fast paced and well done.

A small but fascinating museum. I did the guided tour as a group. A vast array of mechanical musical instruments which show how ingenious humans can be when we out out minds to something positive.

A friend of mine recommended Siegfried's Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum, even though they visited almost 20 years ago. I'm so glad I took their advice! The tour guide was absolutely superb—not only were they genuinely funny, expertly switching between German and English, but they were also incredibly knowledgeable and even good on the piano! Their passion for the collection really made the experience. It's a very niche experience, but I'm still scratching my head wondering how all those instruments play themselves with such precision. For the price, it's great value for money and well worth the experience. I highly recommend it!

What a brfilliant museum. We hjad a tour to ourselves and the museum staff allowed us to store our cases in a locked room. We had a good tour around of a number of different rooms containg lots of instruments and ouir guide gave us information about certain machines and demonstrated them. All of them were interesting and fascinating. It was so good to see so many working machines, some huge, some tiny and all producing wonerful music.There are also some very old wall and ceiling paintings in some of the rooms. Even though the tour is only 45 minutes it was good value for money

Wow! The museum not only has a vast selection of player pianos, but player orchestras, too. And much, much more. I learned a lot during our tour. The building itself is a former grand home and is beautiful in its own right. Definitely worth a visit.

The list was good, in the fact that it got you up to a view point with amazing views. But don't bother going to the fort. The exhibits are all in german, you can get a downloaded audio guide to your phone bug you need to remember you ear phones if you want to use inside. Outside you can use it around the fort but it is short. I also struggled to understand why a historical building included a casino, numerous pubs and a youth hostel, was just the most bizarre historical monument site I have been too.

Have visited Koblenz several times but first time to experience the cable car. Had limited time, sadly insufficient to take the castle tour but great views of the city and the confluece of its two impressive rivers. With atypical Germanic efficiency, access & egress to/from the cable car stations is easy & safe for all ages & abilities. Good value for money, would hope to return one day & to do it justice!

This was great fun! Glide over the vineyards in a 2 person gondola. You get nice views of the town, vineyard, and the river. Very relaxing. When at the top of the mountain, there is a huge memorial statue, and sweeping views of the area. There is also a small café where you can get a snack or very light lunch and enjoy the outdoors. We did see people walking down, through the vineyards. If you have time, it looked like fun.

What a fab few hours. Obviously if your afraid of heights you might want to go, but it's very safe and worth going. The monument at the top is massive and breath taking. Worth the trip on its own. You can bike or walk up there, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. It's over 200meter up there.

Worth the money! The cabin is for two people. The view is amazing! You might need to wait in the queue for around 30-40 minutes on a busy day(if the queue is just beyond the automatic ticket machine, consider around 20 minutes). The Seilbahn begins from the third floor of the building.

Ride a cable car, a ski lift and a boat ride too in a beautiful part of the wine growing region in Germany. What wonderful views!

Awesome way to see the vineyards behind rudesheim, and get some great pictures of the rhine and multiple small towns on either side of the rhine.

You can buy boat tickets for a cruise in the Rhine River for 2 to five hour tour of the towns and castle along the way.

Good place for shopping. Everyone should experience some local shopping before going home. Price is good here and eating also great.

First visiited in 1985, returned in 2018 the only thing changed was me. Still a wonderful historical site to visit. Easy access as well

Nice landmark and good scenery.

Our visit coincided with a Harley Davidson event and the city was full of joy and loud engines. There were bikes crossing the river on boats and a large crowd in every bar, terrace or restaurant. The city was live and more dynamic than ever.

Went for an early dinner after spending a hot day in the area. The outside seating was nice, service was friendly and speedy, and we appreciate the help with allergy concerns we have. Food was very good, and serving sizes large. Recommended.

While visiting Rüdesheim we stopped here at the Café to try the famous Asbach Uralt Kaffee. We watched the traditional preparation of it. As dessert, we tried the Blackforest Cake and Applestrudel. Both were well prepared!

In Germany and I ordered a hamburger...very tasty done perfect. Service was very good ,girl was patient as we don't speak German. Cute area for your typical souvenirs.

Good food with very fair prices for such touristic town. The service was very friendly too. We enjoyed our lunch there!

Do not go here!!!! Service is terrible, the waiters are anything but friendly. They persuade you to order more than you originally want, and if you want to pay with card they tell you that your bill have to exceed €40. If it doesn’t, you have to pay cash ("these are the rules"). And when I mentioned that these ”rules” might be something they should actually tell their customers upfront, the waiter got very rude and tried to physically intimidate me - all in all a very uncomfortable and seriously bad experience.

The hotel is perfectly positioned for the Christmas market experience, you step out the door and you’re straight in to it. Breakfast and evening meals were more than adequate. The bar area where you can sit and chat with friends really needs some improvement it feels unloved and offers very limited choice of beverages. The bedrooms are somewhat basic , no kettle was a shock as I love that early morning cuppa. The shower was more than adequate with plenty of water pressure and copious amounts of hot water. The owners make you feel very welcome. If you have any form of restricted mobility then this hotel is not really for you, there are lots of steps to get access to the first floor bedrooms this is where you will find the one and only lift to the rest of the floor levels. The location of the hotel to the Rhein is around a 5 minute walk 100% downhill on the way there so obviously 100% uphill on the way back. Next door to the hotel is the cable car which is a must, the views from the top are superb.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. The rooms were clean, spacious and the location was perfect. Breakfast was amazing and well organized. It was a wonderful surprise to find a pot of coffee and a place card with our name at our table. That was a very special touch that put a big smile on our faces. We only have two complaints. First, the rooms aren't equipped with air conditioners so we had to ask for fans which helped cool down the warm rooms. Luckily the weather was a tad cool at night so that helped ventilate the room. Second, there was a list displayed in the room with personal care products available at the front desk. We assumed these were available for free of charge since the list did NOT indicate a charge. When the lady manager handed the product to us, she didn't say anything about a price. When we got our bill at check out, we were surprised to find a 5 euro charge for a razor kit. Also, if you need a bottle of water, don't purchase it at the hotel. We paid 7 euro for a regular bottle of water which was available in town for 1 euro. I know it's not much but it put a damper on our wonderful stay here as I don't like to be taken advantage of. Other than that, we were happy with our stay here and would return in the future.

A family run hotel that provides a perfect base to visit the Christmas markets. The staff are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and you can look out onto the markets.

A very nice few days stay in the lovely family owned/ run hotel. Nicely situated in the centre of Rhudeshim. Nice large clean rooms, nice breakfast buffet choice to suit all palettes. Nice cosy bar area with a full range of drinks.

What a wonderful hotel. My grandmother stayed in October and had a great time. She wants to say a big thank you to Marko and the team for safely returning her mobile phone back to the UK (via Karen Kirby) after she left it in a local church. They went above and beyond so thank you so much!

Do not stay here with children. My husband went with my son for breakfast and thought strange that he seated them at a bench that was dirty, but thought “oh well”. He left later to get the rental car, so I was the one to check out. They stated that my son had left their bench dirty and they would give me deal to have it professionally cleaned for 50 euros instead of the normal 115 euros. They were rude and stated it was unacceptable. My daughter meanwhile went in the area to see it, and there was a staff member with a steam cleaner. They were RUDE. I felt bad and tried to apologize, but was berated when I questioned. Beware also, no air conditioning. So if your room is on the main walkway below, you will not get any sleep with an open window. For the price I paid, I could have gone to a nicer place, minus the rudeness.

Nice clean hotel. There are some stairs to access upstairs accommodation which are a challenge, particularly if you have any mobility problems. The owner and his wife are both very nice and very helpful. Generally the staff are fine BUT beware of the Russian chambermaid who cannot speak English and therefore chooses to either push you out of the way or yell in German at you (management point out how hard she works and so that is ok). Food at dinner only rates about four out of ten!

Great place. Hope they get more customers, while they have the best view. Enjoyed goid wine and service.

Beautiful view but that's about it. Tables were booked for a business trip weeks in advance, pre-ordered our food in a week in advance and still when we came the 2 of thr chicken schnitzel were first forgotten and then half cooked.

It’s a place to go with good weather because the view from there is really pretty. However, make sure you’re not so hungry nor thirsty, because it takes ages until they take your order and bring it to you. We were there on a Sunday, which is usually a very busy day and there were only 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. Minimum of 30 minutes just to being able to order some water and wine.

Sitting at the table right now, having finished the BEST burger I've ever had in Germany. Absolutely fantastic, and the view is even better. 6 out of 5 stars.

Food was decent and relatively cheap for the area. Portions were large. I preferred the curry dishes to the noodle dishes. Flavor was satisfactory for the price. If you're looking forsome cheap food and are hungry for a lot of food with only a little sacrifice on flavor, this will be a great stop for you.

14.80 euros for such a small bowl of rice noodle soup is not worth it, (see picture) there are only 12 pieces of beef 1.5cmx3cm, and it is not my traditional method, the soup is very cloudy, the name is Vietnamese beef noodle, but it is not at all.

I really love Pho Bo. And when I went to this place with the rating 3.5, I was ready to not the world's best pho bo. But what they served I wouldn't call Pho Bo at all! It's not even food and i could literally not eat that. That smelled bad and looked disgusting! And I'm not really that picky. My wife order something like fried dumplings and those were overcooked pieces of cardboard. Never go there! P. S. They also included drinks in the bill but never brought them. And we had to explain that to the waitress that didn't know a word in English

We weren’t sure about this place at first because it didn’t seem great, but we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, our instincts were right — the place turned out to be dishonest and trying to take advantage of customers. First, they charged us €7 for two glasses of tap water — not bottled water, just regular tap water in a glass. On top of that, we ordered pho, and I asked for hoisin sauce. They brought out a tiny cup of sauce (which wasn’t even hoisin) and then charged €2 for it at the end. No one told us there would be a charge. Be careful — they look for ways to overcharge you. With business practices like this, it’s hard to imagine them lasting very long.

Nice location good food.

Only 2 cooks in the kitchen with a lot of hungry customers waiting outside. The server messed up his orders and they served 50 minutes after taking the order. The food was bland and not well garnished. It is evident that the kitchen as well as the service was completely clueless

I ate here several times during my stay in Rüdesheim. Asia Wok is a friendly restaurant with a family atmosphere. The first time I had a Bami Goreng, the second time a Nasi Goreng. The first was quite tasteful, the latter was more medium spiced. I liked both and the quantity was good. They costed only 6,90 euros (price mid November 2016). You can sit a long time in this relaxed restaurant, they won't bother you. I did so reading newspapers while enjoying my Bitburger beer.

Really easy to get there from Frankfurt. Located on the half way top of a hill. The parking is free here. A nice place to go for a hike in near by areas as well. The church is very old and calm.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, convent on the north side of the Rhein river. A great place for contemplation, meditation, and prayer. And you can get a glass of wine and something to eat 😀 a wonderful place to just, be.

Very nice and quiet monetary with a beautiful view down to Rüdesheim and Rhine River. There is a huge shop with local produce and wine. It is possible to taste the wine before you buy it👍😀

But Hildegard would not be silenced. She was a philosopher, mystic, healer, composer – and above all, a woman of extraordinary inner clarity. What touches me most is that her true work began only at the age of 50. In the Middle Ages. A time when women were rarely visible in public life – and she steps forward, right then, with full force. You carry that knowledge with you when you enter the abbey. And suddenly, you feel it: her legacy is alive. The abbey is more than just a building. It is lived philosophy, lived devotion. Currently still observing mask protocols but Cafe and bookstore (I think) are open. Exterior grounds include extensive vineyards and numerous green areas that are perfect for sunning and having a picnic. The courtyards are well-planted and peaceful to relax in. The view of the river and valley are great. The evening (Golden) light makes for simply beautiful views and great photography. The Kloster itself is open for walk-through and is typical of the period and very lovely and nice. Overall a very nice place to visit (repeatedly).

This wonderful and serene convent offers a nice place for contemplation and prayer. The church has a beautiful mosaic of St. Hildegard's life and role in Christendom. The gift shop also has a nice selection of items and books relating to the life of St. Hildegard of Bingen.

I visited the church and the wine shop next to it with my girlfriend. We tried several wines and decided to purchase 4 - 6 bottles of wine including their anniversary wines online. However, just right before leaving, what I heard over there was that the cashiers whispered each other “The asians tried many wines, let’s see if they are really going to buy them :))”. I didn’t expect to receive such a disrespectful and racial comments in the church. In the first place, we intended to buy their products. After the incident, I discussed with my girlfriend and had completely changed our minds. We are not going to purchase their wines nor recommend to visit this place. They have totally spoiled our anniversary day. Maybe, she wasn’t a real sister but rather wearing a costume for Halloween.

We come here every time we visit this part of Germany over the last 30 years. This time we even brought our own Asbach bag. One of the 5 bottles we bought leaked when we laid it in our suitcase, so we was returning it. Because our bag was over 20 years old the woman there wasn't going to exchange the bottle. After a lot of talking and us wanting to buy two more bottles she then decided to exchange it. We are now going to find something new for coffee, and after over 20 years returning to Asbach we will not be going back

Amazing experience with such an incredible story and of course fantastic cognac....

From the shop/entrance go go to a small auditorium and see a video and then walk into the old still room but it is staged and nothing actually happens. If you are expecting a distillery tour then best go somewhere else. Then you are back into the shop. For a small price you can try the different products before buying. It's remarkable the differences and it influenced our purchases. Apparently the price in the shop is a lot less than anywhere else.

Excellent, informative tour

Stumbled upon this place. Felt like a locals-only gem. Authentic ambience. Had the chicken in mushroom sauce, and the smoked salmon pancakes. Both were outstanding. As was their local Reisling. Our server, Claudia, was very gracious about our not speaking German. Just so fortunate we found this place four out one night in town.

Open also in winter time and so a meeting point for local people. The menu was rather limited with a few extra offers of the day on the slate. I had gulaschsuppe and rumpsteak with Riesling wine . Customers arriving at 9 pm were refused entry.

This inconspicuous and off the main Drosselgasse Street restaurant, stood out by its simple, authentic German cuisine, delicious dishes, cozy terrace and efficient and friendly service - the serving staff, made up entirely by ladies, smiled every time they served us and made us feel welcome despite our inability to speak German better -. I can echo a local's tip about the schnitzel - Jakobsklause serve the best schnitzel in Rüdesheim - it was freshly cooked, flavoursome, satisfying and the portion was generous. Value for money was fantastic, too. We will revisit you during our next trip to Rüdesheim. Vielen Danke!

Great service and food Goulash, Cutlet

Had a lovely supper here. My husband had goulash on noodles and I had a fresh salad with turkey breast. Our waitress also recommended a very nice wine for me and a dark beer for my husband. The prices are very reasonable, the meals well prepared, and the service excellent! We also had to try the Rudesheimer coffee to wrap up the evening!

This is the worst restaurant I have had the displeasure of visiting my entire trip to the Rhineland. Extremely rude staff, who will lie to your face as well as sub par food. Atmosphere was incredibly cold and was a deviation from the typical warm atmosphere one is greeted with around Europe. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs, unless you would like to be profiled by the staff and have a sub par dining experience, I recommend going to any of the tens of other restaurants nearby and not wasting your time on this place.

Great find, so glad we still got a table. Very much a German restaurant the locals visit a little away from the tourist spots. Jaeger Schnitzel was the best we’ve had in along time. Prices are very good, portions generous including salad and finished off with a lovely local Riesling.

Schnitzel loves this is the place for you! Although they offer MANY meal options my entire family ordered different schnitzels and we licked our plates clean! They recommended their seasonal wine and we loved it so much we took a bottle to go for a later treat. The choose to sit outside as our atmosphere because it was an absolute beautiful day with so many things to watch and see and a cool little train that rode by. An incredible experience with the sweetest staff.

Amazing Jagerschnitzel gravy however, the breaded pork chops were dry and quite frankly subpar, especially for the price. Their seasonal house wine is probably one of my favorites! Oh, and great friendly staff!!

I really didn't like the flavors and textures of the food in this restaurant. The flammkuchen didn't taste like anything! The starter was just a greasy mess. I would come back and do not recommend this place.

Loved the food and the outdoor seating. Lucky to have some sun and a cool breeze made outdoor seating so pleasant and nice along the beautiful Drosselgasse.

Enjoyed the Rudesheim Kaffe and the baked feta with jalapeno and olives. Friendly service and quaint outdoor seating with heaters and blankets.

Part of the Rhein walking trails. Nice overlook terrace. It's not really a castle. It was built to look like one, but it's just an older tourist attraction. It is a small torret on the hillside.

One of the best views of the Rhine valley. You can see across to Bingen and even the Mausturm is visible. The walk to get here is fun and there is a lot of nature to see and have fun with. This is a great adventure for younger families as the hike is not too tough.

The Niederwald Seilbahn was such a wonderful experience! The ride over the vineyards gave breathtaking views of the Rhine River and the beautiful greenery all around. It was calm, scenic, and very well organized. The ride felt safe and smooth, and the views from the top were absolutely worth it. A must-do if you visit Rüdesheim – it’s the perfect way to enjoy the natural beauty of the area

We took and ring tour. We boarded the ship near the ticketing office and got down at Assmannhausen. A short 15 minutes walk and a series of steps from there leads to the cable car station, from where one can take the cable and reach the top of the hill. The cable car rice is a must-do activity. while on the cable car, you can enjoy lovely views of the valley below, with its lovely vineyards along with the Rhine river.

Reviewed on 15 Aug 2018. It's a chair lift (cable car but only chairs) that goes from Assmannahausen to top of mountain. Takes about 15-20 min for 1 way ride. If you take a circle ticket (Bingen to Assmannshausen to Niederwald to Rudesheim to Bingen) cost is included. Only 2 persons can at a time. A pair of chair lifts come almost in every 30 sec or so. Very good experience.

Beautiful views of the valley and the vineyards while coming down. It is better to take a ring trip including the cruise that goes to multiple stops, disembark at Assmann to enjoy the ropeway, it is quite a lovely experience

We found this place while strolling along Drosselgasse early June and we are so glad we did. The staff is super friendly, we very much enjoyed the Rudesheimer coffee as well as the Baumstriezel cake with cinnamon with a glass of Riesling. The whole presentation of the coffee from start to finish is not only informational but also fun. We will definitely come back to Art Cafe in the future. Highly recommended!!! 👍🏻

Oh my gosh, this place is absolutely amazing!!! Can I just say how chill the atmosphere was and the inside is decorated so artsy, we loved it! The employees were so down to earth, and spoke to us the entire time. It’s like we had known each other for years. The dessert was so delicious, wish they had something like this back home. Honestly when I visit Rudesheim again, this will be our first stop. We spent a good amount of time relaxing, and enjoying ourselves. My kids who complain about walking around old cities, even had such a good time here. Everything was seriously perfect, but the atmosphere is what we loved most. Thank you to the employees who made it such a great time for us.

They took nearly an hour and a half for the main dish to reach our table. I know every dish is supposed to take that long cuz is made from scratch, but if you're really hungry and tired, then maybe it's a no go. Also there is no signal nor wifi inside the establishment, they didn't even play background music when we were there, just be ready to remain in total silence with the rest of the lot inside the restaurant. The food was decent, schnitzel itself was juicy and delicious, the Rahm sauce was just ok.

What a wonderful surprise this was! It's very small and tucked down a side street, and we would have missed it completely if it hadn't been for a recommendation from a local. The food was absolutely spectacular, hands down the best schnitzel we've had in Germany (and we've lived here for 3 years now!). We had our 2 little kids with us (ages 1 and 4), and the owners were so nice and accommodating for us, and so very kind to the kids. (If you have little ones with you, plan to go early though before the normal dinner times, as it completely filled up by the time we finished our meal!) The wine pours were VERY generous, with great wine. Don't miss out on the freshly made pretzels with house-made cream cheese either! We ordered them for the kids and regretted not getting a second round for us, they were so good. For non-German speakers, they have English menus, but only speak German.

We were American tourists that stumbled upon this gem. The host tried their best and was really nice in trying to understand English! Everything was made from scratch. It took a while to come out because of that but it was AMAZING. My best meal this entire trip. They were so incredibly sweet, the husband and wife who own the restaurant. There’s only a few tables but this hole in the wall was worth every second. Love this place.

After our long hike we stopped by this place for our lunch, we had pork schnitzel and venison stew , they were delicious. Nice atmosphere and value for money.

Although the hotel is situated a short way from the Rhine the town is something like time forgot. There are two shops which are hardly ever open. At night, nothing to do. A railway is nearby. The church bells ring constantly from 7.00 am until 10.00pm and every quarter of an hour throughout the day. The hotel seems to run a system where the coach parties are second class citizens. They are segregated together on tables and must not stray or it is frowned upon. This needs addressing as is the coach parties that are keeping the hotel running. Many other places have closed down. The food seemed to be very sparse. No kettles in the rooms, something which should definitely be looked at in this day and age.

Awesome place to stay. Our room was very nice. My wife and I enjoyed the sauna which was great. The restaurant had delicious food and good beer. There were lots of resturants within walking distance. Definitely recommend staying here. We will definitely come back.

I spent my holiday at the Berg's Alte Bauernschanke hotel in Rudesheim am Rhein in Germany. It is a perfectly maintained ancient building that I would define as a romantic hotel. The rooms are large and have all the comforts. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is really excellent, an Italian tells you so. In hotel you can buy excellent wine. I will come back to hotel Berg again

We had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting. The food was superb: salads were fresh, meat was perfectly cooked, the fish was delectable. The service was excellent and our waiter, Matian, was the key factor in making our meal the most enjoyable meal we have had in Germany so far. He was friendly, knowledgeable, witty and gave us excellent advice. His English was superb! However, his great sense of humor and friendliness is what made our experience at Berg's a five star, memorable, delightful exerience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Breakfast was great. Eggs were a little bit over cooked, but the selection at the buffet is awesome. The best Room is number 24 the view is incredible. Parking spots are rare in front of the Hotel, however further up the road is plenty of parking. Overall the Restaurant and Hotel is a Great combination. Highly recommended and would go here definitely again.

This hotel is definitely NOT worthy of its 4 stars. We had a booking for three nights including breakfast, welcome drinks and a one-time three course dinner. However, nothing of the sorts was mentioned during our check,in. The hotel has no parking spaces next to it. They have about 4 to 5 parking spots at a 150m walk. Most of the time you’ll be parking further uphill, 350m from the hotel.  We were informed our room was located in a different, adjacent building. Not the main building, which shows up on all the pictures. The lady at the reception walked us to the entrance of this other building and told us we could find our room on the 3rd floor. We took the elevator to the 3rd floor and to our surprise, our room number was nowhere to found! Our room was actually on the 2nd floor. This is also when we noticed how badly the hallway floors creaked. The room was spacious and seemed fine at first. On closer inspection, we noticed multiple shortcomings. The floor was damaged in multiple locations of the room, and there were huge seams in the laminate flooring. Seams such as these are prime areas for collecting dirt and bacteria. In the bathroom we found some sort of toothpaste smeared across the wall and the sink was partly clogged. The hotel also had no hand soap, except for a soap-tablet we had to share. The bed mattress is terrible; you can feel the springs pressing into your back. If you’re planning to get a good rest at this hotel, forget it. There’s a church right next to the hotel and its clock tower chimes are active from 7 AM until 11 PM. The church bell rings hourly AND every quarter of the hour. It even occasionally does a solid 3 minutes of continuous chiming. And that’s not all. There’s also a bar right across, where locals won’t stop drinking and being loud until 2 AM. The railroad nearby has freight trains passing by at night and in the early mornings. The hotel rooms aren’t equipped with air-conditioning, so opening windows is the only way you can cool your room. The next morning we inquired about the hotel’s breakfast buffet at the reception. The man seemed surprised at the question, as if no one had ever asked that question before. He told us it was fine and we could just enter the breakfast area. During our stay, it seemed as though everyone could just enter the breakfast area and have breakfast. No one was asked for proof of their stay or room number. It was apparent there were also locals having breakfast in the same area. The proprietress would occasionally wander around and have casual conversations with the locals, but didn’t even grace us with as much as a glance. When we were done, we went out to visit Koblenz and enjoy their local festivities. The next day we asked about how and where we could get the three course dinner and welcoming drinks we paid for. Their absurd reply was asking us where we were yesterday. Apparently we had to be somewhere while there was zero communication about it. We received no apologies from the staff at all, but we could have the dinner and drinks on the next day. The day after, we went out again and when returning to the hotel in the evening, we found out our keycard was blocked. Imagine coming to your hotel room all exhausted and not being able to enter. We had to go to the reception in the main building (and wait for quite a while) to figure out why. Apparently, the card was programmed as if we were only staying for 2 nights. The proprietress tried to blame it on us, saying we had made multiple bookings, which was not true and just a blatant lie to safe face. This is truly disrespectful and never ever have I experienced something like this in any other hotel. The cherry on top of this whole experience, was not being asked how our stay was after checking out. We would have liked to give feedback of our stay. The man at the reception couldn’t ever bother with something like “thank you for staying with us” or “have a nice trip”. I recommend everyone to steer clear from this place.

We decided to have dinner here, as the restaurants in the town below were too touristy. This small restaurant was clearly a local hangout. We were so glad we did! The restaurant is fantastic. The dining environment is clean and tidy, and the decor is stylish and attractive. The waiters are attentive and welcoming, like the canteen ladies. After eating here, you'll immediately feel the inferiority of the touristy restaurants down the mountain. Zehnthof's food and wine are affordable, generous in portion, and, most importantly, you immediately feel the care and attention given to the owner's preparation. I can only say that Zehnthof is a highly recommended restaurant serving local cuisine (complete with their own wine, of course). There's no false hospitality associated with the touristy areas; instead, the atmosphere is filled with friendly local diners, and the warm interactions between waiters and guests create a warm and inviting atmosphere. St. Hildegard Abbey is also well worth a visit; it's truly unique. Don't forget to pick up a bottle of Riesling, the monastery nuns' home-brewed wine. On the way back, a stop at Eibinger Zehnthof was perfect for a truly authentic local experience. Thank you, Eibinger Zehnthof, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner there. Restaurant Rosenberger… central located at the corner of Rheinstraße / Drossengasse in Rüdesheim. From outside it looks pretty nice and even romantic. A bit irritating photos of dishes at the window - not matching the atmosphere of the restaurant. I got attracted by the crispy spicy / hot / extra hot or explosive chicken. Since I can take spicy food I decided to order „explosive chicken“. Also I did order a good red wine from South Africa 9€ per glass. Surprisingly the expensive red wine had completely the wrong temperature and this in a wine town of Rüdesheim! Really? I took ONLY more than 45 minutes to prepare it… than my first bite - and nothing happened! Yes, it looked crispy and had a dark red skin, but that was it - not even spicy and far away of being explosive. I bet it doesn’t matter which one you order - they all taste the same and the owner believes nobody will ever dare to order explosive chicken. Well, I did and I was more than disappointed! With the chicken I did order Rösti (Swiss baked potato) - I had 4 pieces (1€ per piece), see photo of menue. All in all I learned my lesson another time… Never ever go to a restaurant with photos of the dishes… at least not in Europe! Pity for the place, since the atmosphere was quite nice! Food zero points - complete disappointment!

Shockingly rude service at a tourist trap of the worst kind. Order taking took 20 minutes. Starters arrived after 1 hour. When politely asked after 90 minutes when we could expect the main course, we were lectured by the old lady waitress (possibly the owner's wife) that it was our fault because we hadn't told her that we wanted to eat soon after the starters. Another table next to ours with the same issue were told by the same woman that they shouldn't go to a restaurant if they couldn't make enough time to wait .... We did however wait another 20 minutes for nothing, but then had to leave. We were given the full bill, complete with another lecture why we were at fault. The pictures you see below were all we ate for well over € 100. No "sorry", not a single smile, and no concession. We left hungry and very seriously annoyed. Thus this review. Obviously these owners have abandoned any pretense to run a professional restaurant. They rely on their location smack in the middle of the tourist area, and on reviews which, after our experience, are highly suspect. To the rude old lady waitress: please do the world a favour and find another job. You are terrible at this one.

We asked a local at the wine shop for a dinner recommendation and he directed us here. It was a fantastic suggestion. The food was beyond incredible, particularly the white wine cream and herb soup, and the mussels were the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly service, and we left happy with every aspect of the meal. The patio outside gives you a nice view of the Rhine. For some reason, there were fireworks across the river and we got a perfect view of those as well.

After 2 weeks traveling through the Rhine Valley and Bavaria (and eating at 1-2 new German restaurant everyday) Cafe Rosenberger is still near/at the top of the list. You know when you finish a meal, look around the table, and everyone has the same look of blissful satisfaction? Your eyes are asking, “did you enjoy that as much as I did? Because that was amazing.” Well that was the look every diner had when leaving this restaurant. A slightly fancier or more modern twist to traditional classics done exceptionally well. Highly recommend!!

One of the best schnitzels I ever had , Go for a schnitzel platter to taste the awesome sauces. We also tried flammkuchen and grilled chicken both tasted good but the latter was too greasy. Portions are generous we went here after a hike to the monument and we managed to complete the food. Service is friendly and good. Ambience can be improved. Highly Recommended !

We ordered the 1/2 grill chicken and naively chose the "explosive" option for level of spice, assuming this would be the usual "German" classification of spice - boy, were we wrong! 😁 Even by Indian standards, the highest spice level is SPICY- and delicious, especially with the roast potato and cream. The spare ribs were very good, as was the spaghetti with mushrooms. Service was quick and efficient. Portions were very generous.

We have a big German shepherd dog and he was welcomed inside the restaurant! It was nice because we were looking for a nice place to have lunch at! I love creamy soup. Their creamy riesling soup is one of the best! It's the right savory and tangy taste. The owners Manu and Guido are the same wait staff and they are super nice. I don't speak German at all, but they were very accommodating. I thought this was gonna be very touristy, but I am so glad that the food, the service and the atmosphere are beyond my expectation!

You love German wines… Come and visit Rüdesheim and it’s world famous Drosselgasse. Take a stroll along the romantic old town street and have a good Riesling in one of many different wine bars and traditional restaurants.

Super cute and charming village (town?) by the Rhine…with so many places to stop along the river, we had no idea which one to pick, so kinda of winged it…our eyes were caught by a white house with rose garden by the road with vineyard in the backdrop and decided to stop. The village goes vertically with narrow cobble stone path lined with restaurants and patios. Walking higher, you can see the vineyard with lifts etc. Is it touristy, sure! But hey, we are tourist and it is beautiful and flowing with wine! Wish we had more time to explore!

Excellent location. Very nice German breakfast. Large spacious room. Tv remote did not work; we had to put in new batteries for it to operate and then only a few channels. No channels in English. The shower tub was difficulty. Very hard to stand in the narrow tub to shower. Then the nice warm water went cold then warm then cold while showering. I was not happy. The tub is high and difficult to step into without assistance. Not quiet. Loud band playing until late. Only stayed 1 night. Won’t be back.

Waited for 25 mins to order a beer, we were completely blanked and never handed a menu. The waiters did more running around than serving people

I can't speak for the hotel rooms at Hotel Lindenwirt, as I only visited the courtyard for a drink, but my experience was so pleasant that I ended up returning a few days later. The location is excellent, the drink I had was fairly priced, and the service was polite. It's a lovely spot for a drink, and I would certainly recommend it for that.

The first stop on our Middle Rhine tour. Will return – maybe in 2029 during their Buga2029 – mind you – they’re not paying me for this, just to be clear 😊 Totally loving it: very efficient – after ordering, our drinks came within minute or two. We only have time for two soups and they’re delicious. The little ally reportedly is packed with people during the high season. Today it’s relaxed 😌 and we enjoyed walking there.

Lovely traditional hotel, in a perfect location. We booked last minute, and received a very nice room. Room was large and comfortable, very clean, modern bathroom. Location is perfect in the heart of old town, steps from the chair lift and numerous restaurants. Parking was also available, for just 5 Euro extra. Overall a great experience, and we will definitely stay there again on our next trip. Thank you!

Great music for the English speaking tourists on our event evening. Food is ok , decent and well prepared but not really the local food we were expecting. But then again, it was a set dinner for the Viking tour. Clean and pleasant.

We had Zigeunerschnitzel and Gebratene Hähnchenbrust and it was really good! Loved the Wein as well.

Went as a group with a set menu, the salad, potato soup, pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and veggy was very good and the service was great. The dark beer was excellent.

Food is well made but the service is questionable. Waitress and owner are unfriendly and always look like annoyed by the customers presence. We always overlooked this since food is reasonably cheap and tasty but this time it's too much. We asked for a table for 4 people at 8.30 pm. It was late but we made clear that we needed to eat still. The owner asked for drink order first and after good 15 minutes came very annoyed and told us to leave because the kitchen closed. Good if you need a good amount of food in decent quality for reasonable money. Do not expect a welcoming atmosphere though

Don't bother. Bei Hannelore is a tired, worn out establishment in need of a complete refurbishment, including wait staff, all of whom were tired, worn out, surly and uninterested in what they were doing. Completing the ensemble was a cheesy elderly singer/musician playing worn out pop tunes on a synthesizer. We were on a package tour and given a scant dinner which I could easily better at home - slices of bread with cheese whip for a starter, a decent green salad, two slices of pork roast with gravy and potatoes for the main, and a miniature vanilla pudding, perhaps 2 tablespoons. This was rounded out by a glass of cheap white wine with dinner. All of this on a Viking package event for $99/head!

Food was good, I had a salad and a bowl of gulasch soup, my Frau had a Schnitzel. Service was fine. The waitress was an older east european women who was ok. The inside of the restaurant was also ok, typical old style German restaurant.

The staffs are friendly and welcoming, but the pepperonis on the pizza are way too salty I have to say. The lasagna was ok, standard but not surprising. But the pizza’s were disappointing. And soft drinks cost more than €5 per glass was also a little bit shocking.

Portofino is a wonderful restaurant! I had the Panzerotti, and it was absolutely delicious. The cocktail I ordered was just as delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. My family and I truly enjoyed our time there, and we left with great memories. Highly recommended!

We’re in the area mid-November so not everything was open. We walked in with no reservation, and the host was nice enough to be able to fit us in despite it being busy. Huge menu, with every combination of toppings for pasta and pizza. We got the Quattro fromaggi rigatoni and gnocchi pasta and it was very good.

Starter good, salad good, service good, pasta was not. If you want to stop by for a drink, great friendly place.

We are on a Viking River cruise in Germany and we got tired of eating sausage and schnitzel. The food was awesome! I got a limoncello spritz and a pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni is some of the best I have ever tasted. My husband got the lasagna and it was fantastic. The service was wonderful and the restaurant is very nice with indoor and outdoor seating.

The restaurant name is italian. The owner is italian. But the pizza is definitely not (as a disclaimer, I’m italian). First of all, they make a distinction between normal and big size, with differences of about 1 to 2 euros. However, if you order a big sized pizza, it end up being just a normal one. Moreover, the pizza dough is very thin and not great in general. The service was ok and relativey fast. The location is also nice, with possibility of hearing live musics from a nearby pub. Prices are about 10-15 euros per pizza, averaged I would say.

It’s a nice little castle in the Rhine. You can’t walk to it if the river is full, but you can see it from a walking trail along the river and even has a beach to admire it from far away.

Mouse Tower Mäuseturm Bingen is a very beautiful Tower right in the middle of the river which makes it in a very unique position

Under normal circumstances the island is inaccessible (there is no bridge), however due to recent low levels of the water in the Rhine river (on 15th of August 2022 when pictures were taken the water level was at 52 cm) I was able to reach this picturesque place dry-shod. Right behind the Hindenburganlage park - towards the little bridge over the rail track - there is a trail leading to the river where a small stone wall connecting the island and the mainland is located, normally submerged under water. Unfortunately the Mouse tower, a former watch tower, it's also not open to the public, therefore I was unable to visit its observation deck. Regardless of that, the views from the base of the tower were impressive as well - the vineyards covering the hills and the Ehrenfels ruin provides a stunning sneak peak of the beginning of Rhine Valley. On the north part of the island a small beach is located, where children can play and dogs can run. I was bold enough to swim in the river in that area (no current but a secluded bay). Visited in August 2022.

A beautyful tower located a little bit far away from the center of Bingen. The tower is on island that is water locked, there is no way to go there. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to reach a beach with a full view to the tower. There is currently only one point to watch it nearby.

Beautiful spot to sit and relax. There is not much to do but the site offers great views on the river and the mountains on the opposite side.

Nice place Visit in summer it’s beautiful trek through grape farms. The place is actually closed but one can enjoy the views of flowing river and mountains.

I have seen this castle many times while driving to other sightseeing destinations in the area and have been itching to go here. Finally made it here with two other adults and our four combined kids ages 6, 5, 3, and 2. I knew we wouldn't be able to enter the castle (I believe due to wildlife residing there), but one reviewer had said you could drive right up to it and walk around it, which is what we ended up doing using Google Maps as our guide (putting this exact pin in as our destination). We took the Rudesheim ferry from the southern side and then drove through paved trails between plots of grape vines, which I am fairly sure we shouldn't have been on, but the roads were plenty wide enough and safe enough for our sedan and no one stopped us. Once we arrived at the castle, there was a large pull-off directly in front of it that would fit 3-4 cars. We stopped and got out to admire what I can only call majesty of the location. The castle sits on a plot of land that is right on an inner curve of the Rhine river, with little barring its view of the water and its opposite edge. We walked down to entrance of the castle (to the left of the castle if looking straight at it from the road), which had a sturdy metal fence and locked gate allowing one to see into the castle but not to enter. There was an informational sign about the castle along the rock wall. This view had the largest view of the interior of the castle as you could see from any vantage point, except perhaps above, if there is a lookout you could get to that would grant better view (Rossel castle, perhaps, though we didn't go up there). We took a few pictures there then walked around to the other side of the castle, where a stone staircase with a bannister only on the inner side brings you down to what might have been a terrace overlooking the river, surrounded by tall sturdy rock walls. This gives you a better view of the exterior of the castle as seen from the river. In total, we spent about 45 minutes here looking around, taking photos, and letting the kids play. I have never enjoyed a ruin I couldn't enter as much as this one. It is such a shame it can't be accessed as I bet the view from the tower would be stunning. Overall, this is a trip that should absolutely be made if you like ruined castles with stunning settings and views, even despite not being able to go inside of it. I'm sure it would make a great hike or bicycle ride, especially in combination with Rossel castle, Niederwald monument, and the many other attractions in the immediate vicinity, but it is worth looking into driving directly to the castle if you have a handicap or small children.

It's a bit of a hike to reach these old castle ruins near a bend in the Rhine river, but totally worth it. I've visited three times and never seen anyone else here! Quite, secluded, and beautiful. Different from most of the other Rhine valley castles and palaces I've seen. I recommend parking in Rudesheim and biking through the vinyards to reach it.

So, it appears someone is actively restoring this castle. You can drive right up to it and there are some great photo opportunities, but do NOT expect to get within the walls of the ruins as the entrance is behind a locked (fairly newly-installed) gate.

Great views of the ruins from the river. This is such a wonderful area. Even if one doesn't want to hike in the hills, one can see it all from the comfort of a ship.

A dark tunnel. Pitch dark. Amusing. Walk through if you are there anyhow and don't mind to bump your head or you have no torch or are careless. It's part of a nice walk through the woods along a hillside, not an attraction that draws the crowds on itself..

A walk through the forests is nice and this landmark is a minor interest. It is basically an above - ground tunnel where you can walk through.

If you enter at the right side, you atart out in darkness and end up in light with a beautiful view of Schloss Rheinfels.

I did not go to see the museum however during summer it is one of the best places to bask in the sun with a nice wine with your friends or family. The view over Rhine, Mountains and castles fill your need for hanging out in a good chill location and the people around are extremely nice and welcoming. If you are lucky you would get the smell of German barbecue and who knows maybe you get invited for a wurst or two. The sun keeps Germans in great mood ;)

My wife and I went hoping to see the museum and the interior of the castle; We were only able to walk around the outside as the museum was closed mid-day on a Friday. Maybe the proprietor had gone to lunch or something. Regardless, the grounds were pleasant, it was quiet and there were some old wine making apparatuses and the castle exterior to take pictures of. Spent about 10 minutes there; Wasn't really worth the walk, wish it had been open.

Big choice of wine, good system of tasting, very nice cafe

We didn't go in but visited the free outside exhibits. A nice selection of various vintages of wine presses. The setting in the vineyards and the old castle was fantastic.

I stayed at Hotel Gasthof Schuster in May 2023. Very friendly welcome by the owners... I was shown two rooms that were still free and could pick the one I liked best. Bed and bathroom were perfect. The restaurant on the ground floor is very "gemütlich" and breakfast was very good. Same for dinner... good choices, good food (non-vegetarian and vegetarian), friendly service. There was also free and easy parking not far away. I can only recommend this hotel !

From ambience to prices, Stellwerk is an excellent choice. First class food and innovative cocktails. The restaurant is always well visited, you should reserve a day in advance. The food, taste and quantity are very good. The service is also very friendly and nice.

Took 1.5h to get our food. Even getting a beer took forever. - - - Edited for added experience: owner (?) saw the review and said that she would have given us a discount (for the wait) but since we wrote such a ”nice” review, she won’t. Oh, great… Like there was no telling us it would take long, or apologizing for the wait until over 1.5h of wait (and 1 tapas + bread arriving after 1h from a total of 6 tapas) and then promising it wouldn’t take long for the rest (5 other dishes). Or asking if we’re good with drinks, or offering free drinks, or dessert, or SAYING anything as an apology for the wait. The food was alright when it arrived, but the service just wasn’t, or the attitude. Obviously there were some issues in the kitchen. The food would probably have ”tasted” better without both the wait and attitude. We considered leaving several times during these 1.5h. If she (the owner) would have been interested in providing a good experience, she could have easily corrected it at the end through good customer service (and this review would have looked totally different). Based on this, I obviously cannot recommend the place, which was surprising and a pity based on the previous reviews it got and why I booked the place to begin with.

Such friendly staff, we got the best “dinner box” for our way back to Frankfurt. Super tasty tapas and white wine. We even got a little singing entertainment. Many thanks!!

They serve spanish food and as spanish I was positively impressed. All we ordered was well cooked and tasty.

Geheimtipp am Rüdesheimer Bahnhof. What you do not expect at all, is a lovely tapasbar. All the trains running by right along the Rhine add something special. Top!!

Hotel room was great! We were in the Kutscherhaus. Deer park was a great experience. Breakfast was good with a wonderful view. However, the waiter in the afternoon has a rude mentality. Me as a German, I’m used to those kind of behavior sometimes. But he scared my partner and brought us into a bad mood.

Amazing place to stop for lunch. Amazing service and really good food. Totally the place to go for lunch before or after a hike. So many hiking options around in that area. Very family friendly. And a great wine selection too.

The breakfast...... what a disaster. The only reason it got a 2 was because of the evening staff and the food in the evening. That was some really good food and the staff was amazing. Regarding breakfast, you shouldn't serve old dry bread, old cakes, sour milk, lukewarm scrambled eggs. It was terrible and it is a big shame because it is such a nice location and I believe that it has been good in the past but now, it is worse then what we did get the next morning on a hotel in a small town near Puttgarden. That was a success compeard to what you did get here in Niederwald. Then, when we were about to check out, the receptionist was not at all interested in the person standing in front of him, he didn't have time for his customers. Because of that, there was no talk about them needing to clear the drain because the bathtub got about a foot high of water when you showered. Well, do it again and do it right. Breakfast is a very important part of the experience and so is your staffs manner against your guests.

I really enjoyed the stay here! Food was amazing. My room was a bit small, but clean with all the necessities. Hotel is located in beautiful spot with a possibility for hikes between all the wine fields so you will definitely enjoy the stay!

We arrived after a long walk just after lunch time. They accommodated us by serving us outside as we had two large dogs with us. Food portions were large and the fresh made krauter quark was delicious!

Booked two nights in their large suite #209. This property is a bit of an odd duck, but if you take part in all the area has to offer - especially the "loop": a hike across the mountain, cable car ride over the wineries to town, boat down the Rhine, then back up the mountain by cable car - then this is a great hotel. The rooms are a bit old (part of the charm) but the food is excellent, the staff are genuine and professional, and I'm pretty sure there's a ghost in the property somewhere. Great property, great staff and I will certainly stay there again.

Rooms and amenities are basic. Clean, rustic fashioned building. The lady owner gave us the instructions on the phone of how to check in and get the keys. Located 1 km to the next ferry to Rüdesheim. Parking is available near the hotel. A little bit lack of explanations of how to get to the rooms. Breakfast was standard and fresh. Coffee and sunny side up was excellent.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, near the river, but it has some disadvantages. There is no lobby, which really means you don't sit in the room all the time. Also, the hotel has no elevator and all the rooms are on floors, so you have to carry heavy luggage with your hands. And all that would be ok, but what is absolutely unacceptable in tourism is rudeness towards guests. The lady is like Dracula's wife, extremely unpleasant all the time with a lot of negative energy. I had a feeling that the only time she would smile will be when she will taking me to the electric chair.

amazing location, amazing rooms with a unique layout of the toilet. open concept of a bathroom and separate toilet bowl. spacious and portable table for use. and breakfast included. near the bahnof like 10 mins walk and literally next to the tourist information station. love it

The room was spacious and clean. I only stayed for the night so I have no complaints what so ever. However, the reason what I'm giving this such a high review is the nice couple I ran into while looking for a place to spend the night after I couldn't make it to my train (thanks DB). They called a couple of hotels for me, compared the prices and suggested this one. They've done this at 11 pm for me, a complete stranger. So if people in this town are half as nice as those two, then it's one amazing town for sure!

For the mid range market price, we had a great experience here. Very friendly host staff. A full (and interesting) breakfast buffet and nice clean rooms with a full bath and shower combo. Also was a great location and could walk easily to town or along the lovely waterfront garden.

Great, comfy familiar hotel, very reasonable price, very good breakfast, near the the marina and the boat station to sail to Loreley, sightseeing the Rhine castles. Great service, the personnel is very accomodating, courteous. We will be back again.

Old hotel with small rooms and for me, unconfurtable rooms with bad pillows. They accept dogs although the recepcionist see you as you have a Huge wolf.... Location is OK. I will not repeat
