The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is a cutting-edge science complex located in a beautifully landscaped park. It features a large aquarium, an IMAX cinema, and various cultural and scientific institutions.
This place was extremely gorgeous. It is such a nice place to take pictures outside! The museum itself has so much to learn about, and has surveys you can take to help improve it. We had a great time and would’ve spent longer had we had more time. I recommend buying tickets to the Hemisphere show as well. We saw the Amazon show and it was great. We even saw baby chicks hatch inside!!!
Vanessa A — Google review
The architecture is amazing and is covered in nature. You can even see and hear parrots in the trees and it's beautiful. It's a brilliant place to walk around and explore but one thing which wasn't the best was the cost to go inside. I read other reviews and some people said how it isn't worth paying the money to go inside and I can agree with them. If you want to, your more than welcome to pay the money to go inside but I wouldn't. Overall, amazing place to go and there's a bus which goes right up to the museum which was very helpful.
Millie L — Google review
We did the whole Combination, Museum, Cinema and the Oceanographic Park! Booked a combined ticket in advance which I would recommend! The Museum is a must for every person that’s interested in science/ the human body! We are two medstudents and we loved it but it’s definitely something children would love as well! The Movie is just an experience for the eyes, the big round screen is unique and therefore very interesting! The Seaanimals are very nice to watch. However, might be the case that they have multiple certifications but to have beluga whales in an Aquarium and Dolphines for a show, even if it isn’t as disciplined as some other shows, isn’t really acceptable. We on purpose didn’t go to the show and we read afterwards some articles which stated the show is very dolphins friendly and the circumstances are far from shows at Seaworld etc. but we heard the crowd from far and Dolphines are very intelligent and sensitive animals which is why that’s not acceptable. Just because they don’t treat the Dolphines as cruel as others, doesn’t mean it’s not cruel. And to keep them and even bigger animals, belugas, in a tank of water when normally they would wander thousands of miles in the ocean just makes me very sad. And I am aware, that they also support the ecosystem sea in a way but I would like to see at least no Dolphines and Whales in Tanks way to small for their needs. We won’t be coming back, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend anyone going there. The only case I would go back is probably with kids, for educational purposes. However, still 3 Stars for the Cinema and the Museum.

The river that runs through Valencia was redirected, and the kilos of dry River bed have been turned into Parkland. This collection of buildings is one of the highlights of this redevelopment and iconic buildings of contemporary architecture, dedicated to the sciences and arts. The Central pools remind you that this area used to be a river And also offer relief from the heat when the wind blows across them. The collection of buildings are extraordinary and Howes and aquarium and IMAX Theatre Gardens and museums. The Bridge, which crosses the drive of the bed is also iconic and a beautiful addition to this amazing architectural area.A wonderful place to wander through and visit some of these exquisite places.

We visited the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias in Valencia today (October), and it was a wonderful experience even without going inside the buildings. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot, and there were fewer people around, which made it peaceful to stroll through and take photos. The modern architecture is stunning, and the reflections on the water create a beautiful, almost futuristic atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting, even just to enjoy the walk and the views.
Lissette I — Google review
We were there on a Saturday night. It was very nice to walk around. The architecture was fascinating and the vibe was just very good. A nice place to stroll around and it was super easy to get there from the city center. And don’t forget to check out the whisper chamber! It was very cool!!!
Kawisara T — Google review
Art & Science heaven. We were lucky to visit da Vinci exhibition among others. Outside area is simply stunning. Architecture marvellous. Extra tip: don’t est there, Saler - Shopping Mall is across the street with fantastic food options.
Rusmir R — Google review
The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is an impressive architectural and cultural complex that combines science, nature, and art in a unique way. Its futuristic design by Santiago Calatrava makes it one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Visitors can explore the science museum, the aquarium, and the planetarium, all offering interactive and educational experiences for all ages. The open spaces, reflecting pools, and striking white structures create a stunning atmosphere both day and night. It is a must-see attraction that beautifully blends innovation, culture, and leisure.

Marina
Nature & Parks
La Marina de València has become an iconic site in the city, featuring trendy restaurants and bars by the sea, offering activities throughout the day. It's a highly recommended place for year-round strolls, with festivals and concerts adding to its vibrant atmosphere. The area boasts a beautiful and expansive promenade with a skating rink for all ages, children's play areas, sailing excursions, and even spaces where people gather to dance to their own music.
Our journey from Antalya to Valencia turned into a true sailing adventure. We took our time, making stops along the way to enjoy the Mediterranean ports. We visited the Greek islands, cruised along the Italian coast, spent some time in the Balearics, and only then set course for Valencia. In total, the voyage took us about three weeks, but every stop was absolutely worth it. When we finally arrived at La Marina de Valencia, we were immediately impressed by its scale. The marina is spacious, well-organized, and provides great protection from waves and strong winds. The staff was efficient—they met us at the entrance, helped with mooring, and provided all the necessary information. For a long-term stay, this marina is incredibly convenient. It offers electricity, water, 24/7 security, showers, laundry, a service area for maintenance, as well as shops, restaurants, and even sports facilities. The city center is just a short ride away, and the nearby beaches are within walking distance. We stayed here for two weeks, taking care of the boat, relaxing, and exploring the city. Valencia is vibrant and full of character, with a charming old town, modern districts, and amazing local cuisine. There were also plenty of activities right in the marina—windsurfing, seaside walks, and even regattas in the bay. The weather was mostly pleasant, though we did experience a couple of windy days, which made us appreciate the marina’s excellent shelter. Mooring remained comfortable even in rougher conditions. Overall, La Marina de Valencia left us with the best impressions. It’s a fantastic spot for a long stay after a major crossing, with top-notch facilities and a perfect location. If we sail through the Mediterranean again, Valencia will definitely be on our list of stops!
Yachting — Google review
The marina is beautiful, located at the end of a canal with plenty of space for easy maneuvering and docking at the central pier. Docking assistance is prompt, professional, and very helpful—truly excellent service. The pier also features a welcoming area for crews to relax. Nearby, there's a lovely promenade that leads to a beachside avenue full of lively bars and restaurants—perfect for a pleasant stroll. While a taxi is needed to reach the city center, they are readily available and reasonably priced. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with great value for money. I’ll be happy to return soon!

the marina of valencia is a great place, especially with the weather getting warmer. you can watch beautiful sunsets sitting by the water. there are loads of people doing sports stuff or just chilling. you can also go to the platform of the big building to get a higher viewpoint, its publicly accessible!!

Exhibition/fair building, very modern architecture, right next to the gardens that cross the entire city. Definitely worth visiting, better in sunny days with sun reflecting into the surrounding water pools

The Museu Nacional de Ceràmica i de les Arts Sumptuàries Gonzàlez Martí is a palace museum located in Valencia, housed in the ornate 18th-century Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas. The museum celebrates the local ceramics industry and features a vast collection of ceramics, including delicate porcelain and vibrant Valencian tiles.
A fascinating exhibition of unusual artefacts and items created of ceramic material. The museum also houses other interesting items associated with history and culture of Valencia. Note the opening times as it closes at 14:00 and reopens at 16:00 during the day!

Amazing museum and it's free on Sundays. They have permanent and temporary exhibitions. Both worth to visit. The building itself is well maintained and looks great inside. If you are looking for something interesting to see in Valencia, definitely stop here for couple of hours. They have information in every room in different languages that makes it easier for foreigners to immerse and enjoy the museum.

This place is definitely MUST TO SEE if you like art. All those decorations and craftsmanship are MAZING. I can’t even imagine how good and how much time you need do all those things. 3€ for entry. Nice ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

A beautiful place. Very authentic and for only three euros, which is the cost of the ticket, you get a real experience. The museum has several levels, and from the literature and books on display to the impressive rooms, you can enjoy and spend quality time. Very informative and educational - if you have time, you should not miss this when you are in Valencia.
Ivana B — Google review
I love this museum but the staff are a bit cold and I'd even say impatient. If you have a student card whether digital or physical don't forget to show it! It's free entry. Saturday afternoons and Sundays are free also. The bottom floor is for temporary exhibitions, we saw a lovely one about women contributing to the museum's collection. The first floor is great and we werent able to go to the second floor because we got confused and also the staff didn't really make us want to go back in there and ask 😅. I love this museum overall and it was my second time going!
Candi — Google review
Valencia Tourist Card entitles you to a 50% discount, so the €3 entrance fee becomes €1,50. There’s a lot of things to see for €1,50! Went here when the Joan Gardy Artigas exhibit was available (Sep 2025) and it was a great exhibit. Artigas’ works were lots of fun to look at. The permanent exhibit is also fun to look at especially the ceramics where people were trying to figure out how to paint. There were a lot of dubious-looking works that were looking back at the artists practically saying, “Bro, are you SURE?” And lastly there’s a whole bunch of rooms where you can take in and marvel at the decadent luxury of bourgeoisie who had way too much money.
Karra L — Google review
Totally worth the visit. It has a great collection of ceramics. And the view inside was amazing. And the artwork was interesting and modern.

The Serranos Towers, an imposing pair of Gothic-style towers, are remnants of Valencia's ancient city walls. Originally built for defense, they now offer panoramic views of the city and the river. The surrounding area is perfect for exploring on foot, with attractions like Plaza de la Reina, the Cathedral and Miguelete tower offering beautiful vistas after climbing 207 steps.
Nice landmark towers with good views. Free on Sunday when we visited. Be prepared to climb quite a few steps, but you can stop off at 2 levels and walk around, as you ascend. The Torres de Serranos were one of two gates, in the old city walls. Allow about an hour to visit. Plenty of bars and cafes nearby.
John J — Google review
Very cheap, so it's worth the price for some views and pics. No much to see though. I don't recommend if you're afraid of heights, and some parts don't offer much protection.
Leonardo T — Google review
Even though it was cloudy day, we decided to check out this place. Figured it won’t be too hot even if we climbed the 132 steps. I lost count after 50. The views are great but the area is narrow. There was a school trip so it got crowded at times. It got steeper and the stairs narrower as we got to the top. Definitely started to feel vertigo and had to get back on solid ground after a bit.
Kay B — Google review
This castle and place was electric and historic. Beautiful castle that you can walk through like a tunnel. There was a festival today with music, costumes and dancing. 5 star place
Kevin B — Google review
So you have to buy a two euro ticket to go to the top it’s not for unfit people. There’s a lot of steps that you have to climb to get the top and as you can see from the photos, the view at the top is awesome. And if you wanna take a picture of yourself, etc., it makes a really good viewpoint. You’ll see from all the photos and the videos I’ve took it. Is it well worth visiting in my opinion
Travel L — Google review
The place is simple, but is really nice. The stairs are steep, so it's not too easy to get up. But the view is really beautiful.
Zsolt P — Google review
Awesome gothic towers. Tickets to go up are very fair, €2 per person. It's 132 stairs to the top, and more if you want to stop on both sides for the views but definitely worth it!
Brandon L — Google review
What is not to like about this historical monument? It is very tall and it's peak gives a good view of the sprawling city below. Tickets are 2€ but it's free on Sundays and you can enter for FREE on any day if you have the Valencia Tourist Card (VLC). Be warned there are some steep and large steps to climb before you reach the peak.

BEAT Brew Bar & Shop, located in the vibrant El Carmen neighborhood of Valencia, stands out as a top destination for coffee enthusiasts. Founded by a Peruvian couple with a passion for quality and sustainability, this brew bar offers unique products like coffee husk tea and coffee flower tea that directly support coffee farmers. The establishment takes pride in its mastery of brewed coffee extraction techniques and also features vegan drinks such as Kombucha and Superfood Lattes.
One of the best coffee shops I have been to and that says something! Super friendly staff, excellent cold brew and cortado. Bought some beans, too.
Julia S — Google review
If you are interested even a little bit in coffee this place is a must. Everyone was so kind. They explained to us their menu and helped to choose. Good quality drinks made with care. The place feels cozy and authentic.
Zsolt F — Google review
I've been into third wave coffee for close to 8 years and I visited specialty coffee shops in three continents but BEAT Brew Bar really stood out to me. Of course, the coffee is excellent but what made it stand it to me is the dedication, passion and knowledge of Virginia and Lucio - I would come back to Valencia to visit their coffee shop again. Leave your laptop at home and take your time to try one of their "Beat Brews" (comparative tasting of two brews) or "Beat Lattes" (plant milk drinks with superfoods). I can also recommend participating in one of their coffee workshops.
Elolitta — Google review
So far the only coffee shop I found in Valencia using siphon. Besides siphon, there are also a variety of options for brewing filter coffee. Milk options are all plant-based milk. I tried “suke quto” beans using siphon and it’s very smooth and fragrant. Also had the mocha with hemp milk and a piece of spicy chocolate. For me the hemp milk had a bit masked the flavor of coffee and cacao, but it matched well with the spicy chocolate. Shop owners are very kind and informative, and also speaking very fluent English, I’ll definitely visit again :)
??? — Google review
Cute little coffee shop with specialty coffee and kombucha! The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable and the coffee was amazing. Lots of options for plant based milk and varieties of coffee. Definitely stop here for a well made high quality coffee!
H B — Google review
I’ve had a coffee interest since the nineties, and love to try new ways of enjoying a well made coffee. This place was recommended to me when visiting Valencia, and I have never experienced anything like it. Excellent coffee is a given, but to offer a tasting experience based on either A) same brewing method and 2 different beans OR B) same beans with 2 different brewing methods is a fantastic idea, and nothing I’ve seen elsewhere (have been to quite a few countries trying different coffee experiences). On top of this the couple running the shop provides a truly extraordinary and passionate background story to all details of the products (beans etc) and their origin. We spent a good amount of time chatting on all aspects of drying, fermenting, harvesting, and roasting beans as well as temperatures, extraction times (and how they change based on humidity…) and again, the coffee was excellent! If you simply love a great coffee this is the place, and if you are a nerdy coffee enthusiast like me, it is a spectacular experience. Highly Recommended!
Marcus S — Google review
This is not your typical coffee place not even to those places that say they are organic. This place is dairy and just about everything in there is organic. The service was truly five stars as the barista explained everything to us in Spanish and English. I got the oat milk moccha and it was delicious. Delicious as in very organic with no additional sugar just natural. Very cool vibe and atmosphere.

The best coffee I have had in Spain so far!! Great body and aroma. The owner has excellent ability on brewing coffee and controlling its temperature. Highly recommend to visit if you are into coffee. (Visited in Feb. 2019) Era lo mejor! El barista explicó muy bien el café con paciencia y pasión.

Beat Brew Bar was not first discovery at Valencia and we went almost every days during our stay. We loved the place, the concept, the products and the passion of Virginia and Lucio! If you loved coffee, teas or/and chocolates don't missed this place, for sure. Thanks a lot for the kombucha discovery and the amazing chocolate. Moreover, Beat brew bar is also a good starting or finish point to enjoy the street art area of Valencia.

The Spanish restaurant Secreter Sala de estar has a menu that features tasteful dishes with subtle flavors. The terrace is a peaceful oasis in the heart of the old town, and the service is exceptional.
Very impressive starters with subtle flavours and a delicious paella followed by homemade cheesecake and chocolate cake for dessert. Both interior and courtyard dining. The ladies waiting the tables speak excellent English (for those concerned with understanding the menu) and are extremely friendly. Away from the tourist areas. Reasonably priced fixed menu (choice of three dishes per course. Three courses for 13€). Great wine and beer available
Gareth K — Google review
Great place for eating great local food dishes. They are not selling ”paella” every day, because their food is good enough and fancy. The only thing I would mention is drinks and coffee are not part of the price of the menu. So the final price is 11€ plus drinks and coffee which about 15€.

Good value for money for the menu del dia. Really subtle flavours but very delicious! Their vermut also packs a punch. Will definitely go back here. Service is exceptional and very friendly!

Sights & Landmarks
La Fabrica de Hielo is a unique cultural space located in the emerging Cabanyal neighborhood of Valencia, just a short distance from Cabanal Beach. It is housed in a former ice factory and features an industrial-chic decor. The venue hosts a diverse range of events including live music, dance performances, theater shows, and art exhibitions. Visitors can relax on mismatched sofas while enjoying a glass of wine or Aperol spritz and sampling food from the onsite food trucks.
Really cool place to go for drinks, burgers, and tapas near the beach. It’s super funky inside, with lots of industrial decor. We visited twice last week and preferred early evening when it was a little quieter, and it’s perfect for pre dinner drinks. But if you want live music and nightlife go later. Local beer and local wine, good burgers, and a very laidback, cool vibe. Plenty of seating though suspect it gets packed later! It’s different than any other drinks place in the city and I’d definitely recommend. Dog and kid friendly.

Can get busy but is nice and have fair priced drinks and food. About 9 euros per dish and 3 to 5 euros per drinks. Good vibes. Would recommend.

Visited La Fabrica tonight as a solo traveler to catch the live band tonight. The venue has great vibes and was packed. Get there early to get a seat. Drinks were good and not overpriced. The musicians and their friends were friendly and welcoming. It was a great way to end my first day in Valencia.

During my month in Valencia, it became clear that there's always something to do, including a free jazz show at one of the coolest bars I've ever stepped foot in! Right near the beach and you'll find yourself swept away by the industrial, yet cozy feel of La Fabrica, tapping your foot to the live music while grabbing an ice cold pint. Go for the Turia, a local and spectacular beer. Complete with food, so you don't need to worry about searching for somewhere else to go. Arrive early to grab a seat if there's a band on. Side note: the band was awesome!
Ryan H — Google review
Amazing place to hangout and drink some beer. Not like a regular bar, but a place where you can enjoy a company of friends, beer, food, live music and just chill around in a nice environment. The vibes are brilliant! ✨
Tamar B — Google review
Lovely location with cool decor and a sweet vibe, with multiple venues for concerts, comedy, etc. Love the multiple bars in rooms. BUT, drinks are overpriced, food service is anything but inviting, and the quality of the food (although edible) is not impressive. The kitchen DID however follow directions on accommodations, which is a big +! We will return when the event calls for it, but I would not seek this place out as a place to land for the evening based on the lack of attentive service.

Its creator, Hiro Suzuki, comes from a generation of modern Japanese chefs who break with the strictly purist approach of sushi cooking. His dishes are more daring and he integrates Japanese cuisine with the Mediterranean.
One of the most memorable dinner experiences I ever had. The food was a dream come true. The service, outstanding. Will definitely come again and I can highly recommend.

Good japanese restaurant. Good food, good service, quite popular place. Better if you book in advance. The wine is expensive I guess. I will come back again.

We had a fantastic experience here! We chose the tasting menu and everything was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. We were dining with someone who has a food allergy, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate their needs. They carefully adapted each dish without compromising on quality or flavor, which we truly appreciated. The attention to detail and the warm, thoughtful service made the whole evening unforgettable. 100% recommended — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Day 2

Southwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southwest side side of town. Start the day off with Central Market of Valencia, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Platja Port de Sagunt. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

The Mercat Central de València is a vibrant and historic market housed in a stunning Modernista building adorned with colorful tiles. It is one of the oldest food markets in Europe, offering an authentic glimpse into daily life in Valencia. The market boasts a diverse collection of stalls, each separated by type, where locals shop for regional produce such as live eels, various prawn varieties, and giant hams.
This is a spectacular market situated right in the centre of town offering food, fruits, meats, dried fruits & nuts and lot more especially the various varieties of freshly cooked Paella! The place is very clean, well looked after and well managed.
Mas — Google review
So much food to discover and eat. Wine, croquettes, empanadas, sandwiches, paellas but also a lot of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. It is a delight to walk around and immersive yourself of what this foodhall has to offer.

The Central Market in Valencia is absolutely incredible. The building itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture and a vibrant, bustling atmosphere. Inside, the variety is endless fresh produce, spices, cheeses, baked goods, and so much more. It’s a feast for the senses, with colors, aromas, and flavors everywhere you turn. The vendors are friendly and passionate about their products, and it’s the perfect place to sample local specialties or pick up something unique. Whether you’re shopping, snacking, or just exploring, this market is a must-see in Valencia. Truly one of the highlights of the city.
Andrew G — Google review
A food lover's paradise. Everything you could want in a market is here: wine, chocolates, meat, fish, you name it - all fresh and of incredible quality. Try the sea urchin paste (2 EUR per spoon). Delicious.
TeamMorden — Google review
worried it would be a tourist trap but it is so genuine and refreshing and the products in here are fresh and local. thank you to all those local vendors for being patient with my limited spanish and for allowing us to experience your culture

Valencia's central market is a scrumptious feast for multiple senses. Surrounded by fresh vegetables, fruits, produce and meat you experience colors, sounds and rich flavors. Several stalls tempt you with bread, delicious baked goods and appetizers. The building is architecturally and aestically beautiful with local handmade tile work, ample ventilation, and natural light. Feeling..... You find tourists like us sauntering, discovering and experiencing amidst the locals living and hustling to manage and welcome customers. North America hosts farmer's markets however, very few are at this scale and embedded within a beautiful building.
Maddiee S — Google review
Nice place to roam and get inspired. But nothing was calling me. I am pure veg so didn't get attracted to most of the stalls. Smell was also really strong that day. But it's nice to know that the building is having it since 100 years going on as a tradition

Mr. Pedro has a very good ham for sale and at a more affordable price than others. There are several types of ham, but the most expensive one is very good and worth trying. The nice thing is that he speaks English, is nice to his customers and can prepare any quantity you want on the spot (even sliced and vacuum-packed). We will come back to him.

La Lonja de la Seda de Valencia, also known as the Silk Exchange, is a grandiose building that showcases the city's Medieval wealth through intricate stonework and carvings. It was once a symbol of Valencia's power during its economic boom in the 14th to 16th centuries due to silk production. The Merchant's Hall within the building is considered a magnificent jewel with its unique design featuring columns resembling palm trees and a ceiling meant to evoke a starry sky.
A beautiful UNESCO world heritage site in the centre of València. Very helpful staff and considering its UNESCO - there was no queues and no waiting times. We were given the option of an audio guide which we took. Very easy audio equipment to use, including the map, which directs you from around the building and even brings you on the outside of the building too! Would definitely recommend to spend an hour here.
Josh M — Google review
A fascinating structure and unique interior architecture especially the columns in the main hall that support the floor. The ancient trading place mainly for the Silk trading auction and meetings is a great place to visit. The courtyard houses rare plants and orange trees with with seating to relax and enjoy the view.
Mas — Google review
Stunning architecture! La Lonja is more than just a pretty building… its architecture and internal design reflect its commercial, juridical, and symbolic roles. It is a monumental civil (i.e. non-religious) Gothic building in the old city of Valencia. It was built between 1482 and 1533, though parts (or phases) extended a bit later. It was also declared a “Monumento Nacional” in 1931 and later (in 1996) a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its primary historical purpose was as a place of commerce and trading • especially for silk (hence the name) • but also more broadly as a mercantile and legal hub. It is a superb example of late Valencian Gothic (sometimes also called “Valencian Gothic” or “Flamboyant Gothic” in its details) in a secular building. Many internal columns are twisted / helical stone pillars (roughly 16 m tall), giving an effect sometimes likened to “ropes” or “palms.” One stronger and better-documented connection is via Luis de Santángel, a financier from Valencia. According to historical accounts, Santángel (a converso, i.e. Jewish origin turned Christian) helped to underwrite or facilitate funding for Columbus’s voyage to the Americas under the Catholic Monarchs. Because of Santángel’s support and his merchant / banking role in Valencia, some have suggested indirect connections between Valencia’s mercantile circles (like those centered around La Lonja) and the expedition. (But this does not mean Columbus worked in or used the Lonja.) Some fringe or minority theories propose that Columbus came from Valencia (or from a family of silk merchants in Valencia) rather than the more traditional view that he was from Genoa (Italy). For example, in a recent documentary and some forensic / DNA-based speculation, it has been claimed that Columbus might have been from a Jewish silk-weaving family in Valencia, and that he concealed his origin to avoid persecution under the Inquisition. However, many historians and geneticists remain skeptical of these claims, finding them insufficiently substantiated. Because construction of La Lonja began circa 1482–1483, while Columbus’s first voyage began in 1492, there is a temporal overlap: the new mercantile institutions and architectural expressions in Valencia were rising just as the Atlantic era began. Some narratives point out this coincidence, suggesting that Valencia was a rising trade power in the same era Columbus sailed.
Sasho K — Google review
The entry fee was a very reasonable €2 per person. You can also rent an audio tour for an additional €2.5. We saw the amazing architecture that was ahead of its time and the stunning columns and ornate details around the building. The included video presentation was worth the watch to gain a deeper understanding of the history of the building. There was a small line outside when we arrived, but it moved quickly and we were admitted to buy our tickets shortly and explored the building on our own.
Terence L — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful historic building! La Lonja de la Seda is a stunning example of Gothic architecture and a must-see in Valencia. The twisting columns and vaulted ceilings are incredible, and the courtyard with orange trees is peaceful and charming. It’s well-preserved, easy to visit, and gives a real sense of the city’s rich history. Highly recommended!
Anthony C — Google review
Place was ok for about 10 minutes, however we found English audio guide boring and overcomplicated. This adds to the fact that the 4 rooms that you could enter were completely empty. We, as a group, have been to other Spanish buildings that were not only bigger but more interesting with the same price. This led to us being quite disappointed with our experience. My advice is to see for yourself without the audioguide for 15 minutes and possibly visit the central market afterwards.
Bertie W — Google review
For a €2 entry fee you get an incredible look inside one of Valencia's most interesting buildings. The history and architecture is fantastic and there is a wonderful space of a movie of all the history. A really great place to visit for photos too, a definite must do

Cathedral
The Metropolitan Cathedral–Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of Valencia is a stunning Gothic-style cathedral that is renowned for housing the Holy Grail. Visitors can also explore the historic Miguelete tower, which offers panoramic views of the city. The cathedral is located in Valencia's city center, making it easily accessible on foot. Nearby attractions include the Plaza de la Reina, the Silk Exchange, and the Modernist Central Market.
Valencia Cathedral – A Place of Power, Peace, and History This is more than just a church — it’s a living piece of history in the heart of the city. Built on the site of a former mosque, the cathedral beautifully blends Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, and even Moorish elements. Every corner tells a different story. 🔔 Don’t miss the climb to the Miguelete Tower — the panoramic view of Valencia’s old town is absolutely breathtaking. 💎 Inside, you’ll find one of Christianity’s most sacred relics: the Holy Grail, believed by some to be the actual cup used by Jesus during the Last Supper. 🎫 There is an entrance fee, but it’s absolutely worth it — the audio guide, stunning interior, and powerful atmosphere make it unforgettable.
Marianna R — Google review
Beautiful cathedral with stunning architecture and rich history. The interior is impressive, with magnificent artworks and a peaceful atmosphere. The climb to the tower is definitely worth it for the great panoramic views over Valencia. A must-see landmark in the heart of the old town.

Great touristic attraction, well organized by self touring headsets, no need to join groups or guides. Prices are very reasonable and they have offers for families. The facility is accessible for wheelchairs including the museum inside the cathedral.
Faris K — Google review
Both a house of God and a home to some of the finest religious art in the world. I'd recommend getting the audio guide tour, which was both informative and very easy to follow. I am now convinced that the Holy Grail is indeed real, and located in Valencia Cathedral. Definitely take the extra trip up the tower (accessible after you exit) for amazing views over the city.
TeamMorden — Google review
The cathedral is absolutely stunning and steeped in rich history. The family ticket, priced at just 22 Euros, was excellent value—especially as it included an audio guide that made it easy to explore and learn about the cathedral’s fascinating past at our own pace. One minor drawback: during our summer visit, it did get quite stuffy inside, and a few ventilators would have made the experience more comfortable. Still, it was a memorable and worthwhile visit that we’d highly recommend.
Marisa S — Google review
We visited as a family during the week. The family ticket was €20, which included the use of an audio guide — a brilliant way to actually take in the history, not just run through the cathedral snapping a few photos. It was interesting, accessible, and there’s plenty to see and be amazed by. Well worth the visit!
Eva — Google review
Beautiful cathedral with rich architecture and a calming atmosphere—though sometimes disrupted by tourist behavior. The €10 entry includes an excellent audio guide, which helps you understand the cathedral’s history and its role in Valencia. Highlights include the ceremonial altar and the museum with historical artifacts. Plan 1–1.5 hours; last entry at 17:30, closes at 18:15. All in all, it’s a cultural visit—very rewarding if you’re interested in history or religion, but less exciting if you’re not into those themes.
Emma V — Google review
The Valencia Cathedral is absolutely stunning and a must-see when visiting the city. The architecture is breathtaking, blending Gothic, Romanesque, and Baroque styles, and the interior is filled with beautiful details and history. One of the highlights is the chapel that houses what is believed to be the Holy Grail, an incredible piece of history that makes the visit even more memorable. Climbing the Miguelete tower is also a must, offering sweeping views over Valencia that are worth every step. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and awe-inspiring, making it easy to linger and take it all in. A true highlight of Valencia and highly recommended.

This park is amazing to explore by bike. We visited in May, when many plants and trees were in bloom, and the ride was absolutely breathtaking. The park features dedicated bike lanes, as well as separate paths for walking and running. It’s definitely one of my favorite places in Valencia

Great park! However facilitéis could be improved as there was a bathroom with no toilet paper or soap. There are multiple lanes across the park for different foot traffic and excellent bike paths. It is perfect for a run, walk, workout or cycle!

Restaurant La Tagliatella in Port de Sagunt is a delightful culinary gem that offers an authentic Italian dining experience. Guests rave about the extensive menu, particularly the large and delicious pizzas that are simply too good to share. The atmosphere is serene, complemented by stunning seaside views, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal. While navigating the menu may pose a challenge due to language barriers, the staff's patience and warm energy ensure that everyone feels welcome.
9 Americans doing their best to navigate the menu and order to the waitress. She was so patient and understood us and our poor accents 😂 the food was absolutely amazing! Beautiful seaside view and quiet atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone!!

Good food, friendly service but slow. When we arrived, we were told there was a wait list for tables, even though we could see several empty tables from the door. We eventually got seated, and got our food and drinks, which were good and big enough portions, but then we order desserts and coffee. Three of the desserts arrived at the same time, but the two balls of icecream didn't arrive before the rest had finished the desserts, even though we asked about it twice. And the coffees arrived when we finished eating the desserts.

This restaurant is part of a large chain, so it's sad that they don't even offer gluten-free pasta (not to mention gluten-free pizza dough). Even the risotto on offer was not gluten-free...supposedly because of the sausage it contained. They can't serve it without sausage as everything is already ready (no words). So I only had a salad with burrata and no dressing 🥴 The pizza and service were okay, but nothing more. You'll find better restaurants in the area.
Claudia S — Google review
I had such big expectations from this restaurant but I’m so disappointed. I was served 1kg of pasta with a very watery and tasteless sauce. I asked for the rústica sauce and I only got a couple of olives and very little meat. (Literally I only ate pasta) I could see from the table how they were heating up the sauces from a package in the microwave. I understand it is a chain but I was expecting more. We were sitting there for about 30min and the only music we heard was rap. Zero Italian environment. I give 2 starts for the good service from the waiters.

Tasca Angel is a charming little gem that captures the essence of traditional tapas dining in a cozy, unpretentious setting. This intimate restaurant may be small, but it certainly packs a punch with its delightful offerings. The highlight here is undoubtedly the freshly fried sardines, which are perfectly complemented by crusty bread. While Valencians typically enjoy their tapas seated, at Tasca Angel, you'll find most patrons standing around high tables, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere.
Fantastic tapes! The real thing. Great food, service and prices. The sardines and garlic prawns are perfectly cooked. Big shout out to the lovely couple who work so hard to give us pleasure.

Excellent food!!! Really the best seafood I’ve ever had, it’s so simple but has the best flavor you can imagine. Everything is made to order right in front of you and the service is amazing, they love a little chat and are very patient and helpful to give you the best experience. The place is small and cozy, so maybe not so suitable for large groups. P.S. GET THE BEER. It was truly the cherry on top.

Wow! That is THE authentic tapas experience of Valencia! Amazing tapas, amazing service - two people rock this tiny place and all the orders flying around them! Delicious food, good prices!

I’d rate 6 stars for the food if there were. It’s definitely the best tapas bar I’ve been to in Valencia. You could tell from the multilingual menu on the wall that it’s famous among the international visitors. We ordered several tapas and none of them disappointed us. I’ve never expected to eat pig livers here. I thought westerners didn’t eat animal organs. But I was definitely wrong. The Valencianos know how to appreciate them and present them with unbeatable flavor.

Tasca Angel is a tiny local tapas bar I love visiting in the center of Valencia. Every month, I stop by to enjoy some of their super tasty local favorites. The sardinas de la casa, sepia, montadito de esgarrat, and atún are always delicious and satisfy my cravings for authentic Valencian flavors. The cozy setting and friendly staff make each visit enjoyable and welcoming. Despite its small size, Tasca Angel offers a warm and intimate dining experience that feels like a hidden gem. If you're seeking genuine tapas without the touristy vibe, I highly recommend Tasca Angel. It's a favorite spot that never fails to deliver great food and a pleasant atmosphere.

Quiosc La Pérgola is an outdoor kiosk located in a serene garden setting, offering a variety of bocadillo sandwiches, salads, and tapas. It's a popular spot for esmorzaret, the traditional mid-morning meal. The signature dishes include the bocadillo de sepia and the Super Bon-Bon, which features lomo, bacon, french fries, lettuce, and mayo on perfectly-toasted bread.
Our first time after hearing rave reviews… well it did not disappoint! Our server Javi made us feel like we’ve been coming forever… the food was delicious and the cremaet was amazing. Definitely going back… so many bocadillos and tortillas to try.

If you want to taste one of the best bocatas in Valencia you should definitely visit this place. It’s brilliant. Everyone is very friendly there and very helpful to foreigners. The host of this place is amazing. Also you should try café con leche. It’s fantastic. Only best memories

The best calamari sandwich I've ever had! A lot fresher than the ones you get in Madrid and they're from the grill not breaded so the taste is something different. The sauce it comes with makes the sandwich extra creamy and the bread itself is warm and soft! The only negative is that the service is slow (waited around 30mins for the sandwich) but I still recommend it wholeheartedly because the terrace has a nice, casual atmosphere where it's nice to chill and enjoy a drink while you're waiting!
Szemes A — Google review
This is by FAR one of the best “bocadillo” sandwich I’ve ever had, at least the Calamari 🦑 one. Do not even think twice on getting just one, instead make sure you get two as the waiting times are quite long so be aware of that. Service is usually like anything you gonna have in any bar in Spain, but overall a good experience.

Really good food and nice terrace. Waited 45min to be seated and it was good but I didn’t think it was worth the wait with all the other bocadillo places that there are in the city. Nice to try but wouldn’t be a regular. Not expensive but but for less you can have an almuerzo menu with drink and coffee elsewhere. Not bad just not as amazing as 45min wait. Service was friendly and kind but also there was lots of people so they felt understaffed since they were running all the time and felt stressed.

El Almirez Restaurante is a delightful gem that captures the essence of local dining. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, it feels like a home away from home. The generous portions and high-quality ingredients elevate each dish, making every meal an experience to savor. Guests rave about the fresh seafood options, particularly the sea scallops and tenderloin, which are prepared with exceptional skill. The attentive service ensures that you feel pampered throughout your visit, allowing you to relax in this tranquil setting.
Exceptional Service! Very attentive and very fast. Magret de pato and pulpo are highly recommended!

Very disappointing experience. No fresh ingredients and poor cooking. Waiters are friendly but way too pushy. Also, they open a wine bottle without asking (just an example). Way too expensive for the poor food quality. You’d better choose another resto. This review to warn you because the past reviews on google or Tripadvisor were very positive, but this must be a scam

Delicious local restaurant. The service and the food five stars. Generous portions , top quality products and the familiar atmosphere make you feel at home. Also a very quiet restaurant so you can eat and relax too. Excellent value for money. We tried most of the fish and got fresh and super tasty recipes. Definitely will come back !!!

They give you the feeling you're in a 5 star restaurant. Food really looks amazing and tastes even better. A must go to when you're in the Area.

Utterly dissapointing After seeing all the good reviews, we expected to eat great. However, dissapointingly, we did not eat one thing that wasn't deep frozen or tasted extremely salty. The service was friendly though. Would NOT recommend
