Horchateria De Santa Catalina is a long-standing cafe in Valencia, known for its traditional decor and delicious offerings. The cafe has been serving its patrons for over two centuries with sweet gastronomic delights, including the best churros in Valencia. The interior is adorned with classic Valencian style decorations, such as painted wall tiles depicting pastoral scenes. Visitors can indulge in creamy horchata made from crushed tiger nuts and enjoy soft churros dusted with powdered sugar.
This place was recommended by locals to try Horchata, taste was really good and I recommend it. We also ordered ice cream and were positively surprised with the portion in such touristic area. Staff is very friendly and they offer practical service, just have a seat and order. I consider prices are reasonable in such area. Decoration gives very nice vibes.

It's one of the most famous places to try Horchata with Fartons as these items are originally from the Valencia region in Spain. There's a huge place to accommodate many people. Poor mobile network as you enter completely inside of it. The ambiance was great, it was so elegant. We were asked to pay the bill for each order which was a bit strange. We've tried the items below: Horchata liquida - it was so good 😋 Fartons to dip in horchata - personally i didn't feel so special about the combo but they were good Churros - crunchy but not very hot Hot chocolate - tasty, thick in consistency 🤤
Dhruthi N — Google review
I don’t get it why this place have so much good reviews. Let me explain. When I entered to cafeteria nobody said anything. No hi, no show where I can sit, NOTHING. So I just get my table and sit. After few minutes waitress come over. She took order and after few minutes my order was on the table. Reading all those „good” reviews I expected something special, yeah, it was. Chocolate was just ok, rich and creamy. Churros was cold and chewy. Farton was just a bland dough, no taste, no sweetness. Thats a fact. Horchata wasn’t my taste but it’s just my opinion, some people can like it. In the middle of my lunch waitress just brought a check? No questions how good lunch was, how you like that, nothing. Whoooo… Ok, so is this yours customer service? Got it. When I want to make some pics (for review)of food they sell, one of lady shouted on me: NO PHOTOSSS!!! Maybe in response they will explain, why can’t make photos of food? What do you have to hide? It could be a really nice spot for horchata and churros, because inside the cafeteria looks REALLY nice, with THAT mood. I like that. But besides that, nothing is right there. Maybe all those things happened because I’m a tourist and they don’t like tourists. (Spanish people spraying water on tourist in 🇪🇸- you can see that on news) Or maybe they are like they are. I don’t know 🤷 but that was my first and LAST time. Beware of that place, especially if your are TOURIST. NOT RECOMMEND THEM
Adrian W — Google review
Great ice cream with variable tastes, amazing coffee and refreshing drinks. Churros is available in the menu as well. Tables outside at the beautiful Plaça de la Reina.Indoor interior is cosy. Smoking outside tables is allowed. The service is very kind. Recommended!
Borislava P — Google review
Orxateria de Santa Catalina is a must visit! The churros were crispy outside and soft inside, perfect with the rich, thick hot chocolate. Basically heaven for any chocolate lover. Personally I’m not a fan of horchata, but my friend loved it very much. The sweet bread sticks with powdered sugar were delicious. Friendly service, fair prices, and a stunning interior makes it well worth the stop! (*Sadly you can’t take photo’s of the interior.)
Zil — Google review
Churros should be eaten with the chocolate dip. Texture of the chocolate dip is thick yet not too sweet. However note that chocolate dip has to be ordered separately. First time trying Hotchata, nothing to compare but it was sweet. Service is terrible, didn’t feel welcoming.
TTT — Google review
Average churros and beverages. It won’t wow you, neither will it disappoint you. I guess part of the fun is its nostalgic setting, If you factor that novelty, maybe a 4 star at best.
Ed T — Google review
The churros were very dry like its been reheated. Other than that everything else was great. Staff very friendly

Food Quality: i have visited a few times and always great quality and fresh food. Portions: the breakfast options are very nice. Drinks: quite a few coffee shop style drinks and also some juices and milkshakes. Price: $$ not bad pricing for most products. Service: very friendly and fast. In this store you will get a beeper and must pick up your order when its ready. Atmosphere: very nice, well lit, spacious area. Many different types of seating offered. Highlights: most dulce de leche products. Must try the conito or alfajores. Payment Method: CC, cash

Absolutely love this place for brunch! It’s the perfect spot to have coffee and catch up with friends. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the menu has an amazing variety of both sweet and savory breakfast/brunch options. Everything we tried was delicious, but the quiche was on another level – perfectly baked and full of flavor. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend dulce de leche – 100% worth a visit!
Dobrina K — Google review
Polite and friendly staff, excellent selection of pastries. A very convenient breakfast location to our hotel. This croissant was custard and jam, which wasn’t the cheese and bacon I was expecting down to my poor Spanish. I hit my head on bathroom light which is very low hanging.

Such a spacious and lively coffee shop on the street corner. It’s decorated with floral ornaments, making it vivid and vibrant. What’s more, the food is quite good, absolutely above average.

Insanely good food. I had the cinnamon roll my friends had empanadas and other pastries, not a single bad word was said about anything it was all amazing. €2.70 for a cinnamon roll as big and tasty as this is a steal. Didn't get a photo before it was nearly gone!

delicious! but they got our order wrong. the ambiance is nice but very crowded and of course the cleanliness is sacrificed!
Zohreh A — Google review
The location and place was very cute. We sat outside and enjoyed the small patio out front. We ordered the yogurt bowl, ham and cheese croissant, a chicken empanada, chocolate croissants, cappuccinos and a vanilla iced latte. The yogurt bowls were delicious. The ham and cheese croissant came out more room temperature than warm. Along with the chicken empanada, it was a little colder than warm but very flavorful. The cappuccinos were very good, but the latte was watery. The mini chocolate croissant was so good and perfectly filled. We would definitely recommend coming here

This was a little gem we found in Valencia. It wasn’t too touristy like a few in Madrid. It wasn’t overwhelming yet it had everything you would look for in a market. Prices were definitely local-oriented, didn’t feel like we got ripped off at any point. Walk around, have some jamón, drink a beer, Valencia is on the coast do definitely have some seafood and you’ll be set. Worth noting that we went on a Monday and there was a small flea market set up outside, not sure if it’s everyday but we found a few cool things.

This market is great if you want to see amazing vegetables with intense colours, superb fishes and sea shells worthy of a poster. Yet, absolutely over-priced food. Believe me, everything will taste as good as any supermarket food. Several closed stands due to lack of everyday costumers.

(Translated by Google) A very good experience. This Sagunto restaurant is worth a visit. Very well-prepared cuisine, classic yet signature tapas with creative surprises that beautifully blend flavors and textures. Very good plating. Very professional service, excellent attention, and cleanliness. Good value for money. There's an outdoor terrace. The interior dining room is small but adequate. It's a shame the chairs aren't very comfortable. Crystal-clear water. 7/10 toilets. (Original) Muy buena experiencia. Vale la pena este restaurante de Sagunt. Restaurant El Mirador de Sagunt is a delightful spot for lunch, offering a stunning view of the ancient walls and castle when you dine outdoors in its lovely garden. With around 300 sunny days each year, enjoying your meal al fresco is truly a treat. The restaurant features an inviting modernist decor and serves a daily lunch menu at an affordable price from Tuesday to Thursday, along with more extensive options on weekends.
Wonderful spot for lunch, beautiful decor, good service, food is delicious, so fresh. We did not make reservation, even though they were all booked, still pulled a table for us to eat their wonderful meal! Thank you for making our perfect memory!

It's OK place. Portions are huge for the money. It's hard to believe how nice the place is when you are driving towards. Rice (Arroz a banda), which is why I went, wasn't great. Nothing special. Actually, the best of the menu was the torrijas! So good daily menu place, but maybe I had a bad rice day. For sure, if I pass again, I will try.
Ruben L — Google review
What a great find below the castle walls at Sagunto. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is really tasty. Highly recommended. PS If you use Google maps to get you there continue along the road past where maps thinks the restaurant is, turn right and right again following the road and then you will get to the restaurant and car park. You will drive through an industrial estate before you get there. It's well worth it.
Ian T — Google review
Loved it. Well worth finding on the unlikely route past warehouses. The manager busy supervising to make sure everything is good. Super waiter George. Perfect English, suave, funny, helpful. Excellent food well presented in roomy modern restaurant set in palm trees and a wedding venue.

Fantastic wedding celebration - attention to detail was wonderful & all the team at El Mirador were friendly & professional. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff. They speak english. Really good food. 5 courses for 12€. One of the best restaurants on our vacation!
Marko S — Google review
If this were just for the food, no stars. The location is lovely and the surrounding lush gardens and palm trees are inviting. I can imagine it’s wonderful for weddings and parties if you only serve drinks. But on a normal day, the gardens aren’t really available. And the big picture windows? Yeah they look out onto the industrial part of Sagunto so it’s not all that exciting. The food. We went at midday; I could go through each course and tell you what was wrong with each but I’ll save you the time. This food is made without skill, without knowledge, without respect, and without love. We didn’t eat more than a few bites of anything. BF didn’t want to say much to the waiters, but they could see we were unhappy because most of the food was left on our plates. If you can get there for a party where the bar is open: go! The bar is generally not open when the restaurant is. So disappointing and a real shame.

One of a kind bakery with a real Spanish heart. I got the tarta de naranja, which I wanted to try, and it melted in my mouth. So good. Definitely come here and treat yourself!

Stellar traditional Spanish bakery. Very clean and very friendly! We stop there for fresh bread and pastries in the morning. This has become our horno of choice due to the selection, and crispness of the crust on the bread. I have posted their recent hours in the picture below.

Orxateria Daniel is a traditional bakery in Valencia, known for its classic desserts and especially for its traditional drink, orxata. The original location near the beach in Alboraia has made it a staple of Valencian culture. The cafe's decor features old pictures and inviting furniture, creating a must-visit atmosphere. The attentive waitstaff are knowledgeable about pairing options with the white drink, which is made from special tiger nuts grown in the region.
The cafe interior is super classy and beautiful!! Looks luxurious but the price is so friendly!! As friendly as their staff! Everyone is so cheerful and happy. I tried the coffee with horchata, tastes like soy latte, very good and less sweet, the chocolate farton is amazing! The creamy chocolate is so good, not too sweet either I rarely give 5 stars but this cafe gave me a wonderful afternoon time I wish I can come back everyday
Pei C — Google review
Lovely cafe to drink a horchata & eat a fart on with it. We ordered a horchata liquida. It’s very refreshing and tasty. The farton was also fresh, fluffy and still a little bit “hot”. Of course more expensive than getting a horchata on the street, but it tastes really good :)
Ina R — Google review
This is a well known and reviewed sport. We stopped in mid morning and gave the horchata a try as this a local specialty. We ordered the mixed version which is a slushie. It paired exquisitely with the farton.
Terence L — Google review
I liked their horchata, you can choose small, medium or large, classical or with ice-cream, coffee, etc. The servants are friendly and fast, nice atmosphere. A little too noisy but there are also some tables outside.

Delicious Orxata in the Heart of Valencia – A Must-Try! If you're in Valencia and want to experience authentic orxata, Daniel Orxata near Plaza de la Reina is the perfect spot! After enjoying a coffee with a fartón, I decided to try their orxata, and it was absolutely delightful, fresh, naturally sweet, and incredibly refreshing. The quality of the orxata is outstanding, with a smooth texture and the perfect balance of flavours. You can tell it's made using traditional methods with high-quality chufas (tiger nuts). Paired with a fartón, it’s the ultimate Valencian treat! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with friendly service that makes the experience even better. Whether you're stopping by for a quick refreshment or sitting down to soak in the local vibe, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to taste the best of Valencia’s traditions!

Delicious horchata! 10/10 would recommend. Plus the AC is a win

The smoothie Horchata de chufa was so refreshing from the summer heat. It was so delicious.
Katrina P — Google review
The pastries are very typical for Valencia, I tried two of them. Clareta has the same dough as the farton and is filled with horchata cream. Redolí has a mix of raspberry jam, chocolate cream, candied lemon and marzipan. But my favorite thing to try was the horchata with gelato, we got a huge glass that I almost couldn't finish.

The WAITRESS is just AMAZING. Shhe is cheerful, patient, kind, quick and very professional. Fresh delicious food

Old food, very rude and unprofessional staff. The waitress wouldn't replace a vehetarian pie which was something different than what I ordered (tuna pie). I took a couple of bites before realising it's not what I asked for and that it was days old. I went back with it and asked for a replacement with my initial order and she said that I already bit from it so I have to buy another one 🫨 how would I have known it's not good before tasting it?! Not even an apology, not to mention a refund or replacement...

I did return, and I wrote the company an email which makes these Weisswurst ( Firma Zimmermann) but never heard from them. I wonder what the owner of Fass Bakery ever did about this? Thanks. Great food, pizza and lasagna. I was surprised by the quality of the food. The bakery is great too. I’ll be back.

The pizza was delicious, the atmosphere was good for a Friday night, the service was ok. The gentleman never checked on us, I asked for the wifi password and he said he would be back with to give it to me and never came back. We had to get up when we were done to ask for the check.

Pizza is more or less ok. It is really a bit burned, it has distinctly segregated layers of dough and cheese (cheese layer here is like cheese layer of baked in oven something - thin, firm and overbaked). But in the end it is tasty, Not as tasty as I'd like to try it again, but with beer from adjacent beer shop it is ok. So, honestly, my estimate is 3.5. That was good, but I'm not sure if I'll order it again someday.

(Translated by Google) This is the second time I've ordered a bacon panini, and I've seen the photo. The first time I thought it was a mistake, but they confirmed that they put it that way. Bacon panini (without bacon) 2 pieces, 2x2 cm. Not a single slice, though for €2.20 they could easily have put one slice.

(Translated by Google) This is our second time here for dinner, and we'll go back again because we loved it last year. Highlights include the baked potatoes, the provolone with toasted bread, and the grilled chicken pizza. This time we didn't enjoy the desserts as much. The service was fast and very good. If we return, we'll definitely come back again.
