St. Agnes Heritage Coast offers a rugged coastal hiking experience with stunning views of bays and beaches, as well as popular spots for seaside dining. During low tide, visitors can walk along the beach to the western side and climb up a path onto the cliffs, providing great views of St Ives. The area is clean and quiet, perfect for families to enjoy activities like crab hunting and bodyboarding.
Great rugged coast that needs a visit fantastic views over beautiful blue seas and sandy beaches The UK in the sun is just the best

Beautiful coastline and a lovely quaint village with a beautiful sandy beach, boasting shallow waters a long way out for the wild swimmers and families. Great little surfing area, suitable for body boarding, kayaking and SUP boarding. Also plenty of food options and rentals of kit if required.

We recently visited St. Agnes Heritage Coast and were absolutely blown away by its beauty. It really is one of Cornwall’s hidden gems. The little beach is simply stunning – a perfect mix of rugged coastline, golden sand, and crystal-clear water. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and rich history, it feels both peaceful and awe-inspiring at the same time. It’s the kind of place where you can happily spend hours just wandering, taking in the views, or simply sitting back and soaking up the tranquil atmosphere. The sense of unspoilt natural beauty makes it a true treasure along the Cornish coast. If you’re looking for somewhere that combines charm, history, and breathtaking scenery, St. Agnes Heritage Coast is a must-visit. We left already looking forward to coming back!

St Agnes is a great place we visit regularly. Love this place! Amazing views and lovely walks. The scenery is just outstanding and full of history with the connection of tin mining. Cheers, Vince.

Trevaunance Cove, located in St Agnes, is a picturesque sandy beach nestled between rugged cliffs. It's a popular spot for families and dog owners due to its gently sloping shore and year-round dog-friendly policy. The beach expands during low tide, revealing ample space for various activities. Visitors can enjoy the cozy pub and simple cafe nearby, providing a warm retreat regardless of the weather. Additionally, the beach is lifeguarded in summer for added safety.
We weren't expecting to see such a beautiful coast, we parked few miles away just for a coastal walk and just followed the trail. It's a very beautiful beach with clear blue water. We had 2 dogs with us and they had a great run along the beach with some ice cream before we headed back.
Kristina S — Google review
Lovely beach that we came across during our coastal walk. Our visit also coincided with a charity fundraiser involving dog racing on the beach (it was Easter, hence the dogs chasing the Easter Bunny!) Lots of local facilities and definitely a beach to return to and spend longer at
Elizabeth B — Google review
Now my favourite beach after camping nearby for a few days! Cheap car park right next to beach. Fantastic cafe (Schooners) serving delicious pizza & coffee (feels like you are on top of the sea when on the balcony and the tide is in). Plus a few other lovelt places to eat/drink within 5 min walk. Really cosy spot. Perfect for bodyboarding/surfing. Friendly locals. Coastal path leads you right to it. 10/10.

Big wide beach, lots of surfing. Dog friendly. The best ice cream 🍦 Car park is very tight and not many spaces.

Dog friendly and so many rock pools for the children to playin , build sandcastles , body board and surf and Anne's pasties ❤️

What a lovely cove. Nice bar at the top. Not much beach when the tide is in. Parking is scarce when it's busy times and there's no phone signal to pay

We had amazing family kayaking trip on 19 June. Tom is a greate guide, showed us lots of interesting things you never see from the ground - from hidden caves and enclosed beautiful beaches to seabirds and even friendly seals. This family-run business provides very personalised and excellent customer service. They also provide all equipment and brief training, so you do not need anything, even previous kayaking experience !

What an amazing trip! Can’t recommend enough going on this tour - seeing parts of the coastline we never even knew were there was such an honour. The coastline is so stunning and getting there on a kayak meant we saw places we’d never be able to get to on foot. Tom was a great guide and made us feel super safe and secure, as well sharing loads of information about the landscape we were seeing. Thank you so much - we loved it and will definitely be back!

Beach
Trevellas Cove is a hidden gem in Cornwall, offering a lovely secluded beach with clear waters and plenty of rock pools to explore. The area also features the ruins of Blue Hills Tin mine and a picturesque stream. However, accessing the beach can be challenging due to a narrow gravel road with potholes leading to a small free car park that fills up quickly.
Such a super cove to spend time if you’re passing by, picnicking, snorkelling or just chilling.
Nicola J — Google review
Beautiful little cove, can be reached by coastal path, steeps steps/climb down or by road. There is a small car park which can be reached two ways, via Trevellis down a small lane, very tight in places, large cars will struggle or from St Agnes, steep winding road, neither road has turning points or passing places, worth the effort though, old mining pump house and chimneys to see too.
Leigh V — Google review
Such a beautiful place. Mist visit destination in Cornwall. Be careful when driving take the route from travellas mines as the other route has restrictions on width and height of vehicles that can pass through!
Danish J — Google review
This beach is beautiful the only reason for one less star is its accessibility big rocks down to the beach and my older Bernese mountain dog did struggle, lovely river, beautiful little coloured stone across the beach. Little peaceful paradise
Lucy B — Google review
Beautiful cove, great to visit at the end of the day. If driving I suggest you access from Wheal Kitty, unless you have a small car. The lane down from the end of Perranporth Airport is incredibly narrow. There are signs giving warning.
Ali — Google review
There is everything here for a day at the beach. The car park is just metres away from the beach but will only take about 15 cars. Fairly large beach of soft sand, lots of rock pools, shallow water without strong currents if you fancy a swim, good for launching your kayak and there is the old mine works to explore.
Ewan B — Google review
Quiet little Cove, great for rock pooling. Bit blustery when we went so just went for a quick walk. Nice little stream running down to the beach. Ruins of Cornwalls mining past all around you. Lovely spot.
Ian B — Google review
Very steep single track down to it and rocky entrance to the beach, not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs but apart from that it's a great quiet cove where dogs can run free.

As you explore the stunning landscapes of Cornwall, make sure to take note of the Blue Hills Cornish Tin. This historic site stands as the last active tin production center in the region, with a rich mining history that dates back to 2000 BC. Nestled along the stunning coastline of St. Agnes, Verdant Schooners is a delightful seaside bar that perfectly captures the essence of laid-back beach life. With its breezy atmosphere and picturesque views over Trevaunance Cove, this charming spot invites you to unwind with a refreshing cocktail or a cold beer while indulging in delicious wood-fired sourdough pizzas and light bites.
What a Cornish Gem! Absolutely love schooners, I’ve been a few times now and it never disappoints. It’s hands down the best pizza in Cornwall. I think the head chef is actually Italian….The best view too. What’s not to love? Beer? Pizza? Beach? Yes please!!
Sarah L — Google review
Schooners Bar - Where Pizzas Are Holy, Brownies Are Dangerous, and Even the Dogs Leave Happy Right, so let me just say it straight: if you walk past Schooners Bar and don’t go in, you’re making a grave mistake. Like, “forgetting your dog at the beach” level of mistake. This place is an absolute treat from start to finish. First up, the pizzas. Oh lord. Divine. We’re talking crispy, chewy, perfectly-topped masterpieces that make you question whether you’ve ever really “had” pizza before. Then you throw in the garlic bread, which was so good I briefly considered proposing to it. The real ales? Spot on. Whoever’s looking after the beer here deserves a medal. Perfectly poured, properly kept, and just the thing to wash down your weight in carbs and cheese. And then… the desserts. The biscoff brownies. Honestly, these things should come with a support group. Next-level gooey, rich, and indecently delicious. I nearly ordered a second but decided to leave some dignity on the table. The vibe is brilliant, relaxed, welcoming, with that “we actually care if you’re having good food and a good time” energy that you don’t find everywhere. Oh and the dogs? Thrilled. They got fuss, space to chill, and I’m fairly sure mine is now writing a Google review of her own. So yeah, if you want divine pizzas, real ale done right, and brownies that might ruin you for all other desserts, Schooners Bar is the place. Just don’t wear tight trousers.
P J — Google review
What can I say? It's Cornwall, an absolutely fantastic place. I try to visit as much as I can. I'm very fond of St Agnes, and Schooners is definitely worth a visit. One of the best garlic bread pizzas I've ever had. What more could you want? Cold beer, maybe a coffee, and just the most amazing views. I had the good fortune of it being a bit quiet when I visited, which was even better. Much love, Vince. Cheers. ❤️ Be the reason someone has a better day.
Vince S — Google review
Such tasty pizza with perfect toppings, couldn’t get enough! Great selection of Verdant beers and the staff were super friendly. Laid-back, beachy vibe and the view is amazing. Oh and a yummy brownie for dessert. Will definitely be back!

my favourite bar in cornwall. located just on the gorgeous beach of trevaunance in st agnes, it’s got amazing views of the whole bay and sea skyline, making it a great place to enjoy a tasty pint , pizza, and sunset. the pizza is delicious and home made in their own wood fired pizza oven, great buddy stmospher with locals and tourists. amazing views from the top floor and the wraparound balcony

Amazing pizza and wonderful views! Absolutely love this place. Schooners is the perfect spot to grab a pizza, a drink, and just chill while looking out over the beach. The view is unreal — you can sit there for hours watching the waves. The pizzas are tasty and delicious. The staff are super friendly too — really welcoming and easygoing. It’s got such a nice, relaxed vibe — great for families, mates, or a sunset date. Easily one of my favourite spots in Cornwall now. Can’t wait to go back! 🍕☀️

Friendly staff, great pizza and the best view in Cornwall! Schooners is top on the lists for my friends and family to visit when they come down on holiday. As a local it's a easy place to get some tasty affordable grub, would recommend. I have also been to a speciality pasta night at Schooners which was delicious.

Grabbed a few pizzas to share from schooners on the beach. Really tasty and fresh pizzas, we got a marinara and couple specials, making one special vegetarian friendly. The service was quick and the team patient while we figured out the styles we wanted. Shout-out for the dips -- delicious! Would definitely go again and sit inside where it felt cosy and good vibes 🤙

Pub
Bed & breakfast
The Driftwood Spars is a charming B&B located within a 17th-century pub in St. Agnes, Cornwall. The establishment offers comfortable and airy rooms, along with the authentic experience of real ales and delicious dining options including cooked breakfasts. Situated on the North Cornish coastal footpath, this traditional Cornish pub also provides 4* AA Guest Accommodation.
In a bid to get organized before arrival at a late summer holiday hut in St Agnes, I reserved a table for Sunday lunch - there's something very comforting about looking forward to a roast and pud, especially when the thoughts are mixed with the anticipation of Cornish sea air, the quiet gentleness of deserted beaches and the deliciousness of a favourite baggy cotton sweater over your soon to be moth balled sundress. The Driftwood Spars is perfect for all of the above. Firstly, your reservation is for a two hour slot, so you can relax and take it slowly. Savour the tasty vegetable medley and tender meats, served by charming staff and accompained by very smooth wine. The homemade hummus is so fresh and the menu itself has something to appeal to all tastes and appetites - at very acceptable prices. Afterwards, walk it all off by taking the track up to the SW Coastal path or stroll down to the beach and just be for a while!
Helen M — Google review
We stopped off at The Driftwood Spars while visiting St Agnes and were so glad we did. The pub has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff made us feel right at home straight away. It’s a beautiful spot with loads of character, and it’s also wonderfully dog friendly, which made our visit even better. We only stopped in for a drink, but the selection was great and it was the perfect place to relax and soak up the charm of the village. A fantastic pub that we’ll definitely return to!

Driftwood Spars has the best location - the local beach is amazing for walks and surfing! I had a superb stay - the staff are so friendly and attentive. The rooms were very comfortable and a great price considering such a wonderful location. This is my 4th stay and I am back in May!

We had a late dinner here because the Tapbouse was fully booked. The food was ok but nothing special. We were glad to get a table at 8.30pm but did feel as though we were rushed through the process. I was surprised at this for a Saturday night. The building has such a long and colourful past that it was a joy to be there but a bit of care and attention over the food and service is needed.
Denise P — Google review
Situated within walking distance of the beach this is a proper pub without arcade machines or piped music. The staff were friendly, efficient (and ,the bar staff, handsome) great selection of REAL beers and cider - beer brewed on site with tasters offered. The four of us perused the extensive menus and having ordered, the food arrived within an acceptable time, all of the portions and the quality of the food was superb. My parents decided to finish with tea and this too was presented in a proper tea pot and was a good strength, NOTHING could spoil our visit to this superb venue.
P L — Google review
We stayed at this hotel for only one night, and luckily not longer. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The room had a strange smell, was noisy because of its location, and it was not very clean – we even found several spiders inside. For a supposed 4-star hotel, the value for money was very poor. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Most of the food was tasty and nicely presented, but the chicken burger was disappointing. The best part of our stay was the staff. They were always very friendly and helpful.
Julian H — Google review
We went for an amazing meal here this evening the service was sharp and both my husband and my own meals were delicious. The atmosphere in and around the pub has a lovely vibe. The staff were very welcoming friendly and efficient. It was just lovely. Thank you
Kathryn D — Google review
Amazing pub, the only thing that lets it down is the chips they primarily serve which are rustic, as you can imagine children’s faces when they arrive rather than fries. They only offer normal fries with a Steak but would be great if there was an option for one or the other on all meals and as a single side.

I visited Cafe Q for breakfast, as I enjoy trying new places. When I arrived, three friendly staff members greeted me and showed me to a table. The atmosphere was great and the music selection was fantastic! The menu is on the smaller side, so if you're looking for a fry up, this might not be the place for you. However, I thoroughly enjoyed everything they offered. I opted for the avocado toast with a fried egg on top. It was a bit pricey at £10.
Really lovely hidden gem. Lovely owners and top notch service. Incredible homemade food, a huge variety of veggie and gluten free options which was great for me as a coeliac, and a lovely setting. Took my dad here after searching for 'top cafes near me' and this did not disappoint. Treat yourself to the frittata if it's on the menu. Also, the accompanying salad was like I've never tried before!! Thanks ladies x

Had the most insane pancakes here!!! (I consider myself a pancake connoisseur, so don't take this lightly 😌). The only thing I'd suggest is maybe having a few more topping options, as the tart toppings (berries, yogurt) just aren't for me but that's a me problem. The coffee was actually nice and hot the way I requested it and super smooth as well! Customer service was amazing! The staff are all sooo lovely! Plenty of shaded seating, decent pricing, good music, and good vibes all around. Definitely coming back!

Tip top breakfast - stopped here on a whim and will definitely be returning. We both had the crushed avocado on sourdough with added egg and bacon. It was perfectly executed with thick, grilled sourdough, a deep layer of avocado with nicely done egg and bacon on top. All finished off with rocket, sunflower seeds and a drizzle of dressing. Absolutely delicious. The coffee was really good. The staff were chatty, efficient and welcoming. Loo was pristine. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Very dog friendly. Just go there!

Stumbled on this great cafe mainly due to free parking up to March! We had the most delicious baps (rolls from St. Agnes Bakery) with a choice of two fillings. I had halloumi and mushrooms which was so tasty. Coffee was great followed by cake! Lovely friendly staff. Really recommend a visit.
