My partner and I visited Newquay Zoo with our 11 month old as we have a membership to the sister zoo in Paignton, we all absolutely loved it! The proximity of animals is great, the walkable distance of all the animals is fantastic, and my 11 month old was so engaged all the time as she could see all of the animals. We also had lunch and the food was pretty good, made fresh and came out in a timely manor. The talks from the ranger were also a highlight, she was super informative and ready to answer any questions! All in all a really great day out!

Had an absolutely brilliant day as Newquay zoo. Grandpa treated my identical twin girls to the zoo keeper experience with Rhiann! Unbelievably passionate lady who clearly loves her job and wants kids to love animals as much as she does ! She was amazing! Totally understood my kids and us as parents and Grandpa! Massive smiles and enthusiasm throughout! Truly special person. The zoo is lucky to have her! Thank you so much for making a great impression of the animals and wider world in general! There’s not many people like her and I love it when someone just gets it ! Thanks again ! We will never forget you or Newquay zoo!

Such a great zoo. I've been coming here for 20 years now and always have a lovely time. The staff who give the animal talks are so friendly and knowledgeable (Emma is our favourite!). A really relaxing day out (especially when the kids are in school and it's nice and quiet!)

M2 wife and I love animals and we looked to go somewhere that wasn't too far from where we were staying. I personally don't like zoos due to the confined space the animals have. However I do understand for the preservation of the animals something is better than nothing. Saying that Newquay Zoo surprised us . They didn't have the large animals but enough small once that you don't generally see in the bigger zoo's. Both my wife and I had a great time going round. There were lots of family. The children seem to really enjoy it due to some of the exhibits you could walk through and the wild life is around you. Mainly birds. It was really amazing having tropical birds flying around you. There are food places, a main restaurant which did close about 5 pm and an hour short of closing time. I think this should be open until closing time same as the gift shop. Some people like ourselves wanted to see the animals first, by the time we finished we were hungry. Apart from that highly recommended. Ps parking can be difficult due to being shared carpark with other businesses. it is pay and display carpark. I think it would be better to get refund and add donations for the animals. This way the zoo will still make some money for the upkeep as most people would donate their carpark charges. All in All a good little zoo.

This is somewhere you can easily spend the day as there are a lot of animals to see and the zoo puts on talks throughout the day to discuss certain animals and to watch them be fed. The zoo keepers and volunteers who completed the talks where absolutely amazing and really made mine and my partners day special. It was raining a little so I think most people left so at quite a few of the talks it was just myself and my partner which made the talks even more fun and informative. Thank you to the zoo keepers and volunteers for making the day so amazing and memorable for us!! My favourite animal to see was the Lynxes as they had just had 3 little kittens and the boys where cuddled up by the fence and they looked so sweet. There was also a talk about them which was really lovely and informative to learn about the potential release of the Lynx kittens, and if not them then their offspring should hopefully be released into the wild. Accessibility - the zoo offers manual wheelchairs to hire for the day for £5 and you are provided with a map for the accessible path which allows you access to majority of the park (I think there was one part that you could not reach in a wheelchair). The paths are pretty smooth along the accessible path so it was easy enough for my partner to manoeuvre the wheelchair

Having been to money zoos around the country, including the big ones such as Chester and Londgleat, it was refreshing to see animals that seemed active and full of life. It’s a massive shame that fellow visitors want to whinge about the cost of parking and entry(which is not expensive at all) when they get a zoo full of wonderful animals. The only thing missing is the big cats and primates, which given its location is perfectly acceptable. 100% worth the visit, and the the staff should be proud of the work they are doing.

Pretty small zoo, was only here for about 2-3 hours and that included two rounds of the zoo and eating time. Animals were good though, especially the baby lynx! All 3 babies were so playful and cute! Pretty zoo scenery too with streams and flowers.

Plenty of parking around the beach but it is a very busy place, get ready... There is always something going on there so you can just chill and watch the world having fun. Plenty of food places, Cornish pasties, shops and it's dog friendly

Beautiful long sandy beach, lifeguards a plenty and well managed, lots of space to sit and lots of rock pools to discover life in. Love this beach and would highly recommend, great for family’s, surf and body boarding.

Amazing. It got pretty busy by the end of the day but everyone is really nice, it's clean and great for kids so long at you listen to the coast guard. Defo go for a surf if you can

Absolutely stunning morning views from the gallery — truly the best I’ve seen on Cornwall’s north coast. Also, beautiful hotels in a picture-perfect storybook setting. Highly recommend and a must-visit.

Fistral Beach is a stunning spot, especially popular with surfers thanks to its consistent waves. The golden sands and dramatic coastline make it a great place to relax or take a scenic walk. It can get busy during peak times, but there's a lively atmosphere and plenty of space to spread out. Great facilities nearby, including cafes and surf shops. Perfect for both beach lovers and wave chasers!

It’s a big, long stretch of golden sand with plenty of space whether you’re there to surf, sunbathe, or just enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore. The beach is dog-friendly, too, and it was a wonderful sight watching so many dogs enjoying a run on the beach. It has a really relaxed, welcoming vibe with a few lovely places to eat nearby, including a little café and an ice cream shop – perfect for a treat after a swim or walk. There are also a few shops around selling beachwear and souvenirs, which is handy if you need anything last minute. There is a surf school as well. The facilities are good – the toilets are free and relatively clean, and there are even showers to rinse off after being in the sea. Whether you’re into surfing or just want to relax by the coast, Fistral is a fantastic place to spend the day. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Sandy Beach, Rock pools at low tide perfect for kids to swim in. Lifeguards are on patrol. Amenities such as toilets, bar, multiple shops are situated at the beach front. The car park is right on the beach providing you get here early as it fills up rather quickly. Price is okay for being right on the beach, and having easy access. Prices are as followed; £2.30 for 1 hour, £8.60 for 5hours, £12:00 for 12hours There is surfboard, bodyboard hire available here.

There's good and bad, I'll start with the bad. Price is a bit steep for size of place and in comparison to other aquariums. You can get 2 for 1 at other sites of the same company but not here for some reason! Talks spread out over day yet you have done it in 40 minutes even at a slow pace as that many people crammed in your pushed through like cattle, they should have multiple talks in each section throughout day and only allow so many in at a time to make it more enjoyable. I got to hear the octopus but couldn't see it as it was so crammed in the talk was next to useless. Too many kids(under 7)out of control running into you. Not much information to read Hasn't changed much since last went 8 year ago sadly except price gone up. The good Some lovely fish that look healthy shark tank is nice and probably main attraction, yet nobody about to ask anything so let's it down. It has a roof so keeps u dry for an hour. I wouldn't go again at it's current price, lack of info throughout and more talks.

Its a nice little place, a lot smaller than I thought it would be but well worth the money and its ideal for children. Love the large pool you walk under in the tunnel you can watch them swim all around you and my fave animal the shark! 🦈

Fantastic place to visit just off the beach at Newquay. Lots of different fish and sharks to see!! One thing I will say is it's a bit awkward for disabled access. My mum stayed on a bench at the top because she struggles with mobility and it was difficult for her to get down to.

The reviews for this attraction are quite harsh. Given the price of admission, there is a decent amount to see for a solid hour. We chose to take our time, while others appeared to rush through, which may explain why some visitors feel they do not get their money's worth.

Quite small and very good, with stock in good conditions. See esp the Turtle who is a rescue animal & is blind Cafe area and small gift shop upstairs, and right near the Towan Beach and shopping streets. Note though parking is not nearby - Website says there are a few Blue Badge Holder spaces

The oceanarium is relatively small, but it offers a variety of fascinating species to discover. A visit typically lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour. A Peaceful and Enjoyable Experience at Blue Reef Aquarium Despite being on the smaller side, the Blue Reef Aquarium was an excellent outing for me and my family. It had plenty of interesting things to see and kept us engaged the entire time. One highlight I’d definitely recommend is stopping in the tunnel and admiring the fish swimming above. It truly feels like time slows down and you become one with the sea life around you. Make sure to take a moment to read about the rescued animals at the centre too; it’s both heartwarming and educational. Even if you're visiting with kids, try not to rush. Slow down your day a bit and take it all in as there’s more to see than it first appears. We spent about an hour walking through and felt satisfied with the visit. If possible go on a day when it’s not raining. I noticed in the reviews that it gets busier in poor weather but we went on a quiet day and it was very peaceful with barely anyone else around. I know it’s tempting to head straight for the beach on a sunny day but I’d recommend getting your tickets early. You get a hand stamp that lets you come back later the same day and timing your visit around the feeding sessions is definitely worth it. Watching the sharks turtles octopus and others being fed is a great experience. Since the beach is just outside you can relax there and pop back in whenever you want which makes it super convenient. All in all I do recommend visiting though be aware the entry price can feel a bit steep. That said you can often find cheaper deals online especially family bundles which work out better than buying four standard tickets. One final tip: don’t just glance into the tanks. Take your time and look closely. There are crabs lobsters and other creatures hiding among the rocks and sand. I really appreciate how the aquarium has designed the tanks to resemble real ecosystems. It’s thoughtful and adds to the experience.

I had an amazing beach day at Great western beach .The sand was soft, the water was crystal clear, and the overall atmosphere was just perfect for relaxation. There was plenty of space to spread out, and the beach was clean and well-maintained. Whether you’re into swimming, sunbathing, or just taking a peaceful walk along the shore, this beach has it all. There were also some great spots nearby for snacks and drinks. It’s the perfect spot for families, friends, or solo relaxation. Highly recommend spending a day here if you’re looking for a serene escape by the ocean!

Very nice beach. We visited the last week of August and it was 23-28 degree, very warm for going swimming, waves were nice for surfing, sand was a bit sharp compared to St Ives but not a big problem. Sunset from the top was breathtaking

The western seaside was more than just breathtaking — it was breath-giving. Each wave carried not only beauty but renewal, as if the ocean itself was lending me its lungs. Standing there wasn’t just about watching the sea, it was about receiving life — inhaling salt air, exhaling heaviness, and remembering that existence can be as vast and generous as the tide.

What a wonderful peaceful place, kids have so much fun, my son bought a surfboard from Morrisons is next to the beach and enjoyed the waves. You can borough a surfboard from the beach shop, but for same price for 1hour you can bought it from Morrisons. Large clean sand beach.

Beautiful beach, you can walk all the way from the cliffsides, about a kilometre during the low tide. Although it's a bit too windy for a swim there are several lifeguards and a truck available. They can be heard warning surfers and occasional swimmers to stay within the safe zone .. . Local school kids and many surf schools running sessions throughout the day

We had an amazing experience with incredibly delicious vegan food. Despite being very busy, Wayne was exceptionally courteous, patient, and kind, attending to us with both professionalism and genuine care. He maintained eye contact and kept us informed about the wait time before taking our order, which we truly appreciated. The food was outstanding—it's rare for us as vegans to find a place that delivers such flavor. The pizza was phenomenal—easily one of my all-time favorites. We were lucky to get a table outside, and the view was beautiful. It does get busy, but understandably so, given the warm, happy, and relaxed vibe of the place. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing to watch the sunset whilst having dinner/ drinks. The food was good, the cocktails were lovely & the sunset view was breathtaking. Would recommend booking as gets busy very quickly. Service was a little slow, but it was busy, so we understood, and it didn't affect our experience. Would definitely come back even just for cocktails as they were so nice!

Took my dog Rexy to The Secret Garden in Newquay for a little pup date to celebrate a recent success, and it couldn’t have been a better spot. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and local - just the kind of place you want to unwind in. I had the Forager (a vegan option) but added bacon, and it hit the mark. Fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. They’ve also got a great selection of drinks, from coffees to cocktails, which makes it ideal whether you’re after a chill breakfast or a sunset drink. Speaking of sunsets - this place has one of the best views in Newquay. It looks right out over the headland, and when the sun starts to set, it’s absolutely stunning. Perfect for dog-friendly dining, celebrating little wins, or just soaking up the Cornish coastline.

This is a hidden gem in Newquay! I just stumbled across it in a Sunday and then saw theirs yard facing the beach and it had the best view and vibe possible! Their selection of cocktails 🍸 is great and also the beer 🍺 is quite nice. One of my best sunsets in Cornwall!

Italian themed restaurant with great food and great variety of spirits. Decor inside is modern and the seating outside on the balcony the views are spectacular. Highly recommend and will be going again in the future.

I would give it 6 stars if I could. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The flavor was creative (n’duja with onion chutney, rocket and sauces) and the dough very thin and tasty. Incredibly well made pizza! Unfortunately I couldn’t try many cocktails but I did have one strawberry fizz and it was perfection! The right balance of alcohol and great size as well. The place has a fab atmosphere: the view over the beach is stunning and there was some music going on the background. A great spot to meet up with friends or go on a date.

Wow 🤩… NOT. So understaffed and the 2 staff that were there, standing still and staring at the ground didn’t even care. Maybe the problem is that I am good at trampolining and I want to do some skills but every single kid there misbehaved! Im obviously not gonna walk in there expecting every kid to be really kind and respectful, but dude it was ridiculous! There is a briefing for a reason and nobody listens. Also I wasn’t allowed to do a backflip into the “foam pit” or of the big wall onto the soft landing, even though I can literally do one standing still on the grass. I know England is so much about RULES, RULES, RULES which is annoying enough by itself. but oh my word this was over the top! The only part of the park I enjoyed was the FLOOR because it was bouncy and the only part of the park, you wouldn’t get invaded by 7 year olds! To be fair I wish I could give half a star because for the experience I just had, it was worth about 2 pounds… so my final conclusion is that if you are good at trampolining and can do some skills DO NOT GO HERE, but if you are a random person that just runs around crazily with no intention not to get hurt… I HIGHLY SUGGEST!!!!

We travelled more than an hour with our kids on a Sunday to this trampoline park as it said online 5.30PM, but when we got there the guy at reception said they shut at 4PM even though the sign next to him and within the centre clearly stated 5PM. When we asked if the kids can play for a bit, he mentioned everyone is leaving, even though kids continued to play. As you can imagine this was really disappointing our kids.

We travelled here to go swimming and then let the kids go to the trampoline park. As any other park early arrival is suggested to book you in and go ahead with briefing on time. We arrived 15 mins early to allow for briefing etc but at this park it's included in your hour. We stood in a que waiting on staff to arrive at check in desk. (15 mins) paid for socks online which were terrible. You could only get a child 12-1 or adults 8-12. Rediculas. So our 10 year old girls had to wear adult Size socks. So your 1 hour jump is actually 40-45mins by the time they book everyone in and then do the briefing video. My husband and I went up to the waiting area with a coffee and hot chocolate. This took a while to make and were lukewarm at best. I just feel like this park is not well organised, seem to be short staffed and very confused. Kids seem to enjoy the activities, just not long enough.

this place was not worth any money at all, overpriced for a diabolical time, the trampolines and play areas are decent for younger kids although the place stinks as soon as you walk in, also near the party room it smelt like urine and it wasn't even near the bathroom, the toilets were disgusting there was faeces smeared on the toilet walls, there was no toilet paper, piss on the floor and the handryer didn't work. Most of the games inside of it weren't even working, the foam in the pits were all bitten and disgusting and smelt horrid, the TV in the briefing room didn't even work therefore we had bad training. I do not recommend this place unless you are willing to come home with 10,000 illness .

Visited here with my family. Very busy lots of happy, busy children and parents. Good place to go when wet weather. Keeping all the family entertained for hours. Reasonably priced Cafe on site aswell. Kept nice and clean.

Wonderful place to come when the weather is not so great. Staff are brilliant but I feel I need to make a special mention for George who was outstanfing from the first minute to the last.

Great place, came for a party with two of the younger Grandchildren. Grest variety of activities useful café Would probably suit a wide range of ages for the rare occasions when it's raining in Cornwall

From the moment we stepped through the front door, me and my teenage children ( both very fussy eaters due to sensory issues) loved this place. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. Ordered our food off a very clear easy to understand menu, with wide range of choices. Was a little wait, but the food ( all different orders) arrived all freshly cooked and perfect quality. And prices were very low. Will defobegoing back thank you again to all staff

Incredible! Drove down from london and what a treat this place was to stop at. I ordered a bacon sandwich and a side of hash brown and it did not dissapoint. A generous amount of crispy, well cooked bacon and the hash brown was nice and crispy too. Clean restaurant and super friendly staff. Very welcoming, will definitely come back and recommend to anyone visiting Newquay

I could eat here for breakfast dinner and tea. Really enjoyable home cooked food just like mum used to make, all without breaking the bank. The family run cafe makes you feel welcome and consistently prepares well made food. If your on holiday then head into Andy's where you will feel at home and return many times during your stay. They don't shout about it and they don't price it for tourists this is what local knowledge is all about.

The breakfast was amazing. We went there 3 days. The bacon and egg muffin is a must try and very reasonable pricing.

I had a good dining experience at The Stable Restaurant! We ordered pizza, and it was delicious—perfectly baked with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was fantastic, creating a warm and inviting vibe that made our meal even more enjoyable. Best of all was the breathtaking sea view; it added a lovely backdrop to our dining experience. The staff was also incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, I highly recommend The Stable Restaurant for anyone looking for great food, a beautiful setting, and good service.

Come for the view, not the food. I’ve eaten here a bunch and had a consistent experience, great view, disappointing pizzas, apologetic staff. Pizza bases are more like water biscuits and they ‘snap’ - there is a poor flour mix. The tomato base is vanishingly thin (because of the low structural capability of the base) and has all dried. The toppings are ‘squirted’ on and they will make mistakes on your order (happened twice). Service is also very slow. Silver lining, the view is great And now for a line from my friend: imagine paying up front, waiting for an hour… expecting something lovingly crafted over that significant time… and being presented with a packet of Jacob’s crackers, a slice of vegan cheese (that you didn’t even order) with a chaser of tomato juice. And being told it’s a pizza. My mouth feels like it’s been slapped with a sandy flip flop and I’ve been asked ‘how was it?’ Expecting a serious reply 😂 “

We had a memorable date night at The Fistral Stable for my girlfriend’s birthday. The staff were great! They made sure we sat by the window on a very busy evening, and even spelled out Happy Birthday with sauce on our delicious Biscoff pudding! The pizza’s were incredibly tasty and the cider was spot on. Thank you for showing us a good time!

Spend 2 consecutive evenings in the stable. Superb venue and views, sublime! The food was fab! Husband had the same pizza ( pigs dinner) each time because he loved the spice and freshness! The nachoes were wonderful and Tater tots yum! So many items to tempt! Staff kind and attentive.

The place is fabulous 👌. Pizza 🍕 they served to us was delicious. If you're thinking about visiting this place on the weekend evening time, it might be a good idea to book a table before. 😀

Had a great evening here last Friday after a very hot day on the beach, it was very busy and had a good atmosphere, we hadn't booked but we're still found a table, and then changed tables for one in the shade! Friendly staff, quick service and very good pizza's, staff were working very hard in very hot conditions but all seemed cheerful, overall would certainly recommend and the views of the beach and sea are stunning

Lovely restaurant in a lovely location with the most amazing view. Excellent range of ciders. Our server was also fantastic (I think she was called Fran? Sorry I didn't quite catch her name!) But most importantly for me was the service and attitude received around being gluten free. Rather than feeling like a hindrance I was made to feel very welcome and received plenty of help in ordering something great. The GF pizza dough was amazing and I will definitely be back when next in the area.
