Truro in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Truro, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Truro is Cornwall’s only city, known for its striking three-spired cathedral and compact center of Georgian and Victorian streets. Visitors can explore independent shops, cafés, and the Royal Cornwall Museum, which covers the region’s history and culture. The city hosts regular markets and performances at Hall for Cornwall, adding to its cultural appeal. Its location also makes it a convenient base for day trips to Cornwall’s coast, gardens, and historic mining landscapes.
With favorites like Truro Cathedral, Porthtowan Beach, and Kathmandu Palace, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant and Bread & Butter so you can get the best taste of Truro while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Home goods store
Art supply store
Department store
The Range in Truro is a chain retailer offering a wide range of home, garden, and leisure products, including furniture and kitchen equipment. Additionally, it houses an Iceland store with great deals on food. The store provides reasonably priced homeware goods, craft supplies, art supplies, decorating equipment, and gardening supplies. There is also a furniture department upstairs and customer toilets available. Visitors can enjoy the lovely cafe on the top floor with a good selection of food.
Set back off the road it’s easy to miss the turning and drive straight past, which I’ve done a couple of times 🤣 The Range is one of my wife’s go to places for pictures and frames. And today was no exception as she found three pictures to go in various rooms. For all your Halloween & Christmas take the lift or elevator to the first floor, it’s rammed with bits n bobs 🙂 Not one for following my wife around like a lost sheep, I went upstairs and enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and biscuit in the cafe that is always clean and tidy, unlike some of the aisles that were full of goods waiting to be put on shelves. You’ll be pleased to know there is adequate onsite parking, which Free for the first 2hrs, thereafter there’s a charge!
Clive A — Google review
The Range has almost everything you need. Gardening, cooking, soft furnishings etc. I bought a six chaired garden set in the clearance( six high backed chairs with cushions, massive round table with glass cover). It should have been £599 but was £299. Only 2 screws missing which I had at home.
Jackie C — Google review
Nice retail outlet that covers a great range of items from DIY category to household and food stuff. I’m not sure but it seems to have absolve a part of Wilko and is also in collaboration with Iceland. The prices of items are also competitive.
Oghenehero B — Google review
Good store for all sorts of household items, pictures, mirrors, lamps, diy, electrical, tools, curtains, cushions, furniture, gardening equipment, garden furniture. really helpful staff and the prices are very reasonable. There is also a cafe but we haven’t tried that as it wasn’t open when we’ve been in. There is plenty of parking too.
Simon H — Google review
The toy department at the top of the escalator hidden by toy isles, is an accident waiting to happen. The gardening department is squeezed into a very narrow footprint, with hardly any room for a shopping trolley. Staff were abrupt and complained about being short staffed. This review would have had one star if not for a member of staff who was polite and empathetic and who went out of her way to be helpful. For her I would give 5 stars.

Porthtowan Beach is a stunning Blue Flag beach located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall. It's a popular surfing spot with large dunes and dramatic cliffs framing the area. At low tide, visitors can walk to the neighboring Chapel Porth beach. The surrounding Coast Path features reminders of the area's mining heritage and offers breathtaking sea views. Despite being surrounded by hills and cliffs, it's easily accessible for dog walkers due to its flat land at the rear.
Beautiful beach with its lovely little beach shop from april. Car park is expensive at £2.50ph (from April also,) but a lovely clean and quaint beach you can swim or walk the dogs on
Edward B — Google review
Beautiful beach sheltered from the winds by high cliff faces on either side. Well looked after by lifeguards and a few places to eat inland, plus walks up the coast, and even a rock pool built into the coastline! Gets busy in summer (as you would expect), so parking is at a premium - surf hire also available by the beach.
Harry O — Google review
This is an absolutely fantastic place. I visit here regularly. The land time forgot. The car is a 2-minute walk from the beach. They have a nice play area for children. They have nice bars, restaurants, great food, delicious ice cream, and surf shops. It is a little piece of heaven. Cheers, Vince.
Vince S — Google review
Cosy surfing spot also popular with families. In high season, it gets saturated with tourists so much so that the fish & chip shop run out of cod, and advance booking at the Unicorn is essential.
L W — Google review
A great beach to walk the dog in the off season when the tide is out. Rock pools to explore and the headland shelters you from some of the coastal breeze. Parking wasn't an issue and there seemed to be plenty of places to eat nearby.
Andy W — Google review
Lovely place to watch the sunset, nice bars and a great little beach.. dogs not allowed on the beach in the day time... evenings ok👍
Dave J — Google review
Beautiful scenery, very clean with plenty of bins provided fo4 disposal of rubbish. Some cafes and a small shop on the beach front plus pub and chip shop further up the street. Kids loved the beach and swimming in the sea. Lifeguards on duty between certain day time hours with visible presence and easy to contact. Very family friendly beach and also great for rockpooling. Looks even better when the tide is out due to more little coves to explore but amazing whatever time you visit. I haven't seen 4 teen boys who usually love computers smile that much being outdoors. There is also a clear little stream that runs over the beach and into the sea which was ideal for the kids to wash their sandy feet off on the way back to the car.
Kayleigh J — Google review
A really lovely beach with easy access from the parking lot (that is if you arrive early enough to get a spot, count on before 10 am on a sunny day). Only 4 stars because dogs are banned during the high season months, a sign in the parking lot or in town would be nice. Most beaches are dog friendly along the coast I really don’t understand why this one has to be an exception ?!

History Museums
Royal Cornwall Museum, located in Truro, is a treasure trove of art and culture. Established in 1818 by The Royal Institution of Cornwall, the museum showcases a diverse collection of over one million artifacts from around the world. Visitors can explore exhibits on minerals, wildlife, and the region's history. Notable highlights include an Egyptian mummy and the Rashleigh mineral gallery.
Highly recommend the exhibition currently running at the Royal Cornwall Museum, “Uncharted - Sea Journals of a Cornish Mariner” by artist Julia McKenzie who has created an amazing body of work inspired by her great-grandfathers sea diaries from the 1890s. The work is absolutely exquisite, the stories are incredibly moving and the history is so interesting. On until 2nd November. Plus at the RCM is the amazing new interactive Rocks and Minerals gallery.

This was our first visit, and we really enjoyed it! It’s a small but interesting museum in the heart of Truro. It took about an hour to walk through, and there was plenty to see. I really liked the old furniture and antiques. The museum is great for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.

I haven't been here since I was a kid when my mum used to take me and my brother every Friday after school to see the mummy! Absolutely fabulous building and is immaculate, the 80's exhibition brought back so much nostalgia 🥰 The staff were all amazing and we had a Learning Assistant come and talk to us about the paintings we were looking at, he was so knowledgeable and a credit to the team. Will definitely go back again and not leave it so long! Well worth a visit .
Tamsin — Google review
Cornwall Museum is a quiet triumph of curiosity and local pride. Each gallery feels like a small doorway into another chapter of Cornish life, from the region’s deep geological story to its artistic pulse and maritime grit. The exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, easy to explore, and clearly created by people who care about the place they’re sharing. The staff are warm and genuinely happy to guide you, and the interactive displays add a welcome spark for families. It’s the kind of museum that doesn’t shout for attention; it invites you in and rewards you with details you didn’t know you were missing. A wonderful stop for anyone who wants to understand Cornwall beyond the postcard views. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best museums we have been to, the only ones that are better are the big ones in London, it is extremely well set out, the displays are very relatable and creatively put together and the minerals collection is marvellous. The art exhibitions were fantastic, the Tony Foster is a must see and the book that accompanied the exhibition is beautiful and inspiring. The 1980s exhibition with really delighted this 80s teenager and my sons were fascinated by the unwrapped Mummy. The museum is great value for money and they have put a huge amount of thought into their displays, it's full accessable and has good facilities.

Bar
Located in Truro, Hub Box is a vibrant restaurant offering beachside breakfasts, loaded burgers, and dirty fries. The American diner-style eatery features colorful artwork and low-hanging lights with large glass doors providing an ocean view. Originally a pop-up in a shipping container, it has grown into a successful burger empire with locations across the southwest of England.
Super cool venue with extra tasty food inside 😋.. Converted church now churning out a fine selection of bugers and other sides, this was our first visit and initially was curious due to it being an old church. Very trendy decor, awesome 80's playlist on in the background and the staff super friendly. We enjoyed our food and drinks here and would recommend it absolutely. Kids eat free Mon - Thursday 11 - 5 pm currently, so make the most of that. Burgers were delicious, onion rings were huge and tasty, chips were awesome and the kids enjoyed theirs, job done! Thanks, Hub Box.

Exceptional. Particularly good options for low carb type 1 diabetic. How choice double cheese with no bun and salad. Excellent presentation of the food (we’ve seen some awful things in other restaurants). Well done.

I've been here twice. I'm pretty sure the first time I came, I ordered a chicken burger that didn't appear on the menu the second time around but regardless, both times, I was presented with one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Such fresh, tasty, well seasoned chicken, fried in a batter in fresh oil that left a light, airy crisp coating. Perfection. Service is on point, accomodating, super friendly and prompt. All of this whilst set in what I believe is a converted church. Heavenly indeed

Our experience here has been nothing short of exceptional, we came in for a quick bite and left with a good experience and come back to spot, service was friendly, efficient and all around 5 stars, the food was incredible exactly as described on the menu and the atmosphere was also very fun, positive and welcoming, definitely would come back!!!
James H — Google review
I visited here on the 18th June 25 at 20:00hrs and ordered the Smoky B (a brisket type burger). However what I actually got was thin strips of cold grey meat that tasted rancid, I have a feeling that there may be meat storage and hygiene issues on these premises and I have reported it to Cornwall Council. The signs were all there dirty tables, sticky floors and we should of turned around and legged it, but one of our group was insistent that we try it, rather than walk too far, this was a big mistake. Why do staff ask if you enjoy your meal and when you say no, still charge you? I paid because I actually felt sorry for the staff member, but my advice is to stay clear of this spot. If the owners of the company need to know how Brisket should be cooked they need to contact me and I will show them, it's very poor, please stay clear. the place is a disaster. Regards Shaun Kent.

Exceeded expectations, the food was absolutely phenomenal and the bathrooms were the cleanest and nicest bathrooms I’ve ever experienced in a public space! Such friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Me and my partner ordered the halloumi fries, onion rings and cheese burgers and it was truly the best burger restaurant I’ve ever been to. Best spot if you’re in Truro, will be coming back next year!

Absolutely fantastic place! The premises is well done and looks the part. The food was key for us as we had two coeliac's in our party so gluten free was important! The burgers were amazing and juicy and the gluten free buns perfect! Even better was the gluten free onion rings which are hard to get so we really appreciated it. The kids menu was great value too on top of the large portions so we all left full and happy. Couldn't recommend enough!

The Hall for Cornwall, also known as the HFC, is a renowned theatre in Truro that offers a diverse range of live performances including music, drama, dance, and comedy. Since its conversion in 1997, it has been captivating audiences with international touring productions and an annual panto. Originally Truro's Market House in the 18th century and later transformed into the City Hall, this historic venue now hosts a variety of shows from stand-up comedy to family-friendly musicals.
Staff were amazing when we came in with my mum who has lost her vision. They were very attentive and helpful. A lovely woman came up to us throughout the concert and checked in to see if there was anything they could help with. Thank you to the lovely staff working the waterboys show!!

Brilliant little venue with lots of local parking, warm friendly staff and some great acts, well worth a visit. Handy little 'spoons over the road too for those cheap pre show drinks. 😉🙂

I really enjoyed seeing a show here. As an agoraphobic I was worried but we were directed our seats, it was easy to find the toilets and exits and even though we had balcony seats I could see the stage without needing my long distance glasses. I'd happily go again, even on my own now! Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Saranne H — Google review
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the venue was very clean and well set out. There appeared to be mixed feelings of the unisex toilets, lots of comments from both men and women of how uncomfortable they felt. I am not sure I am a fan of the pre-ordered drinks being lined up on a long table with your name under, it's not clear how long they had been there, I won't be using that service again. Overall a wonderful evening was had

We went to see Derren Brown... It was fantastic.... Not allowed to say more except he blows your mind! Hall for Cornwall is a beautiful building in centre square of Truro. Will defoe go there more often. Staff friendly, organised. Shops all around you. Cathedral right there. Cobbled roads which get slippery when wet, where good walking shoes. Best way to get there is use park & ride. Cheap fares, discounts on group tickets, buses run every 15mins, loads of parking, not busy even for Saturday afternoon. It's easy to find park & ride on Google maps, takes you straight there. Had best day. Fabulous time had by all family.

It's always a pleasure to visit the Hall for Cornwall in Truro. A wonderful venue to stage some amazing plays, musicals and more. Check their website for upcoming events. I have to make a special mention for the unpaid volunteer ushers, on whom, the theatre depends. Well done ladies and gents!

We saw LaVoix here. It was a great show and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They took me from the entrance to the wheelchair space. The view was perfect. Its a wonderful venue.
Richard B — Google review
Gold star to Ben from the access team for providing such helpful information on the phone & in person when I went to view the wheelchair spaces available, nothing was too much trouble. Booking is available online, in person & over the phone. The website offers wheelchair space dimensions for each seat space, which for someone like me (arctic lorry length) is much appreciated. The building itself clearly benefited from feedback from the disabled community. Large, open spaces in corridors & the cafe. Personally I would have liked to see more disabled spaces available, especially near the front of the stage, especially as this venue holds music events where the public could stand, totally blocking the view. The changing places toilet isn't the largest, but it does get plenty of green ticks for keeping the hoist fully charged, red cord hanging to ground level etc. If you like audio description with your toileting, you are in luck! My only other feedback would be to add the lift dimensions, although then Ben & I wouldn't have had such a lovely chat, who made me feel very welcome ;)

Truro Cathedral is a stunning Victorian Gothic Revival Church located in the heart of Truro, Cornwall. It was constructed in 1880 and is the only cathedral built in the UK after St Paul's in London. The cathedral boasts three spires, with the tallest reaching 250 meters high, making it one of just three cathedrals in the country to have this feature.
Very interesting and nice looking Cathedral in Truro centre. Well worth a visit and entrance is free. Nice little square with benches at the main entrance.

Fabulous cathedral, lovely stain glass, marble fonts, stunning ceilings & decor. Great display of tapestries depicting Genesis & how God created the world. Well worth a visit. Free to enter, but encouraged to make a donation.

Medieval Gothic might be preferable but for the County Town, the Victorian version works just fine. Some wonderful art treasures and connections with the past. It's the light which impresses and the private chapels. The 19th century glass is superb

The Cathedral is great, although our visit was somewhat spoilt by the annual judges and solicitors etc awards night being set up in the main area. Loud sound check music and disco lights isn't what you expect in a church.

This cathedral is a beautiful place to visit I visited Truro Cathedral with my family this summer and was amazed by its stunning Gothic Revival architecture. The intricate stained-glass windows and tall spires created a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. The interior was beautifully maintained, and the staff were welcoming and informative. We enjoyed the quiet reflection time and the lovely surrounding area. A truly memorable visit and a must-see landmark in Cornwall.

Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic Chinese cuisine and friendly service. The restaurant is known for its delicious and plentiful meals that arrive quickly and piping hot. Despite the basic decor, the food is flawless, with starters served quickly and bursting with flavor. The staff are very friendly, providing helpful tips on cooking authentic Chinese dishes at home. Additionally, they offer lunchtime specials from a diverse menu at an affordable price.
Working in the area and just visited this restaurant for the first time. Food was perfect and staff were lovely. There was no fancy decor, just great food. I travel around a lot for work and this was one of the tastiest and friendliest Chinese restaurants I have been to. One of us is a vegetarian and was happily surprised by how good the tofu was.

I ordered a takeaway, and this is by far THE WORST Chinese I have ever had. I had sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken fried rice, pancake roll and prawn crackers. The food was tasteless except for the taste of months possibly years old oil that the chicken balls had been fried in along with the pancake roll and prawn crackers which were a shade of brown which tells me the oil has not been changed in a very long time, the sweet and sour sauce was neither it was just bland. The greasy film that the food left in my mouth was so disgusting I could not eat it. I would not recommend this restaurant £20 wasted, I’ve had better Chinese ready meals from the supermarkets for less!! DREADFUL 🤮
Sharon J — Google review
One of the best Chinese meals we’ve ever had. This restaurant has a great vibe, it’s relaxed and authentic, and the staff were really lovely and genuine. All the food was fresh and hot, and tasted amazing. The restaurant and cutlery were clean too. Would highly recommend!

The service initially was great, until we received PINK chicken skewers as our starter. My mate ate some without realising it was pink, once he realised we were totally put off. We then were each given chicken chow mein as our main meal like we ordered however we did not feel like eating it after being served the pink skewers. To add to this, instead of refunding the whole meal, or at least everything other than the drinks, they still made us pay despite putting us totally off our food. When we reported the pink dish to the lady working there, she tried convincing us it was supposed to look like that meaning we could’ve eaten more, obviously we didn’t but she still told us it was ok to eat despite it being pink. Finally, they didn’t even apologise to us, they just blankly stared at us and argued with eachother.
Poppy H — Google review
Decent Chinese, was not disappointed. Best one we’ve had in a while. Staff were very friendly, but a little slow. The restaurant did fill quite quickly from opening, though. Reckon they could use another server or two. Overall, a fairly good experience.

We had what i can only describe as the best chinese meal we have ever had in a sit down restaurant. It was a busy Saturday evening, and yet all the food came out hot and so delicious. The standout dish of all of the food was the barbecue ribs, they were juicy succulent, and the meat (which was more than plentiful) just fell off the bone. A definetely must for anyone in the area.
Lee C — Google review
Not only was the food amazing, the service was good the people were very friendly and i had an amazing time with my family there. Contrasting the basic decour, the food in there was flawless, the starters were all served quickly and were absoloutly delicious, the vegetable roll (alongside a sweet chilli sause) was crispy and full of flavour. My main was the egg fried rice and the sweet an dour chicken, The chicken, glased in a sweet and sour sause had a ritch flavour, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, whilst the egg fried rice, to no suprise, was stunning, I would definitly come here again and it beats the takeaways from some other chineese resturaunts.

Bread & Butter, located in Truro, is a popular spot for brunch with its locally-roasted coffee, homemade cakes, and a variety of menu options. The cafe offers fluffy American-style pancakes with an assortment of toppings such as yogurt and berries or caramel and banana. Guests can enjoy their meal in the clean and botanical interiors or outside in the garden booths surrounded by eucalyptus, hydrangeas, and herbs.
Some of the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten! Tried the frittata and smokey beans which was also delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice also very nice. A good range of options for little ones. They were very accommodating to us with our toddler and staff were kind and courteous. Highly recommend. We will be back soon!

A sunny spring day and a delicious stack of pancakes. Served by a friendly waitress who was happy to help. There’s not much more to say, very reasonably priced and I’d highly recommend. I would suggest booking as their seating is limited, however we managed to slip in without a booking and got lucky.

The place is beautiful! We ate the best pancakes we have ever had… the flavour combination is unbelievable (we had the yoghurt - granola and compote ones, and the apple and honeycomb ones- with bacon added on the side 😋). I had mine gluten free and you couldn’t taste the difference between them and normal ones 😱. The girls looking after us were super sweet and very helpful. Overall an amazing experience, we really enjoyed it… sadly I forgot to take pictures of the food when it came because it all looked so good we went straight in!!! But here are a few photos we took when we came in and when we left. We will be 100% back next time we are in Cornwall.

We stopped here on our visit to Truro for a quick lunch and we really liked it. They have a small cafe which serves mostly drinks and breakfast, and a take away and lunch shop on the opposite side of the street. We had lunch at the latter, and we enjoyed warm and tasty sandwich and sausage roll, as well as a salad. The man who served us was very welcoming. Very recommended for a lunch at Truro.

Came down from London for a Cornish weekend getaway and couldn’t have been happier with this cafe. Absolutely delicious pastries - the apple pork sausage was a melt-in-the-mouth. So filling and perfectly priced. Coffee was great. If you want to sit down on a weekend recommend booking as there’s not too much seating.

Had a really lovely experience at Bread and Butter! The atmosphere was great, with nice outdoor seating that made it a perfect spot to relax. The staff were super friendly and provided quick, efficient service. I ordered the ham and cheese toastie and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crisp. Definitely a great little spot, I’ll be back for sure!

We've had a very delicious lunch at bread and butter. We've wanted something light including salad and we've found a perfect spot! Very cosy quirky place, well worth eating at.
Mantas — Google review
We used to love coming to Bread and Butter in the little cafe across the street. So we decided to check out the small cafe across the street. OMG sorry, but won't be coming again! £26.80 for 2 sandwiches and 2 very small cups of tea. On the menu board the prices are displayed...BUT in very small letters right at the bottom it states eat in prices will vary. Hmm not good enough, won't be back!

Fantastic service. Fabulous food. Wonderful service. The reception we got on arrival is beyond compare. The room is spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We popped into the restaurant early on a Saturday night, and they were able to squeeze us in, we had the steak sizzlers, so tasty and filling, all the staff we friendly and accommodating.

Great for theatre dinner, quick service and generally very good food n drink (just the odd part of one dish and one cocktail that wasn’t perfect). Even got 10% off for having theatre tickets. Attentive staff

We ate from the market menu and I had a delicious roast beef followed by elderflower and blackcurrant sorbet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed it. Ate there again today and had the lamb special which was also delicious. I highly recommend eating here.

Took our Dad to Manning's for his 80th last Saturday night and wasn't disappointed. Wow. Absolutely stunning restaurant at this hotel. The food was outstanding. If I could afford to eat here each week I would. Haha. Friendly funny staff made us feel at home and kept the drinks coming. Right in the centre of Truro Cornwall this place can't be missed.

Nepalese restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Truro, Kathmandu Palace is a family-run restaurant known for its warm hospitality and healthy cuisine. The Himalayan-inspired decor sets the stage for a dining experience featuring Nepalese curries and Indian favorites. Despite its slightly higher prices, the wide variety of quality food and friendly service make it a local favorite. The restaurant's subtle and refreshing Nepalese flavors, combined with its old-school Indian restaurant ambiance, create an authentic dining atmosphere.
Excellent 👌🏾 The staff were very warm and friendly. Always checking on clients to make sure they are well taken care of. The food was superb; the portions were just right and the quality was top notch. The environment was very neat and tidy with nice aromatic flavour. I would recommend this place anytime.

We were visiting Truro for the weekend and stumbled across this gem of a Nepalese restaurant. The food was packed with flavour — beautifully spiced but not overpowering. I had the chicken momo to start, which were incredible — soft dumplings with a rich tomato chutney that had just the right amount of heat. For mains, I went with the lamb bhuteko, and it was honestly one of the tastiest dishes I’ve had in a long time. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the food and the experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, and everything felt very clean and well-kept. It’s not often you find Nepalese cuisine this well-executed outside of a big city — Kathmandu Palace is a real credit to Truro. Highly recommend booking ahead on weekends; it was pretty busy (a good sign!). Will definitely return next time we’re in Cornwall.

Really like Nepalese food so opted for a takeaway on our first night in Truro - mainly based on the reviews. We weren’t disappointed! Arrived 15 minutes before they opened, but really friendly staff still opened the restaurant early to allow my wife to order our takeaway (which we asked to be ready for an hour later as I wanted to go for a pint). Ready on our return, the food was excellent - and different (in a nice way) from Nepalese I’ve had before. So good, we had a second takeaway later on our trip. This was just as good as our first. Highly recommended.

Tasty food, friendly staff and a welcoming place. I had the Chicken Nepal (great flavours), and tried Keema Rice, Chilli Paneer and Onion Bhaji's. The Kathmandu beer (on draught) is recommended too. All of the food was very good, and in general good portions; my only constructive feedback would be that £4.95 for just 2 onion Bhaji's was surprising, as most places you get at least 3 of 4, other than that though, good value for money. The staff where welcoming, friendly and attentive. All in all a great experience, thank you!

Kathmandu Palace is our treat place. We always come here when we are celebrating or just needing a well earned treat. We always leave with smiles on our faces and full bellies. The food is beyond delicious. It is so fresh and the flavours are amazing. We are always welcomed like old friends (despite the hay in our hair 😁 ) The atmosphere is always happy and busy, it's so relaxed and fun in here. Cannot recommend enough! If you are planning to dine in, book!

Came here as a last resort when everywhere in St Ives was chocca and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. We got paneer makhana, aloo ghobi, veggie momos, and a veggie biryani. Everything was really excellent with friendly service to boot.
Seth M — Google review
The food was very good. Good amount of flavour which tasted authentic with good spices. Would highly recommend the tandoori fish and mixed vegetable starter great flavour and the fish melted in your mouth. For main I got the Kathmandu special and this was very good, with a mixture of very well cooked meat and good spices. Highly recommended. Couple things that would make it a 5 star is more condiments with the popadoms and more meat in my main.

Absolutely lovely. Every plate cleared, and I think we might have eaten a tad too much. Gorgeous subtle flavours, good service, reasonable cost I can see why it's in the top ten "Indian" restaurants in the country.
