Bar
Safari Bar is a unique and cool beach bar located in Cape Kamenjak, Croatia. This former fishing village turned holiday destination offers visitors a chance to enjoy the rugged coast, uninhabited islets, spectacular cliffs, beautiful beaches, and bays. The bar itself is a themed self-service establishment where you can order drinks and food at the counter. The drinks are served immediately while the food takes a few minutes to be ready for pickup at the food pick-up counter.
AMAZING!!! We were highly recommended this establishment by locals and it exceeded our expectations. We ate some delicious sardines and fresh lemonade. Reasonably priced and absolutely fabulous! Beautiful location and didn't spoil the view definitely worth visiting.

Sardines were exceptionally good and good value for the money. Do not take a salad - they are saving on veggies by mixing in the couscous- which is not so cool for someone who is not eating gluten (one of us was intolerant). It is also too expensive for the tiny portion. Cevapcici were not bad but we took a lepinja sandwich which was soaked in Ajvar paprika relish. I normally like Ajvar but this one spoiled the experience. Next time I’ll take a bowl of cevapcici. Price was too high for the amount of meat. Overall mood is great, shade is nice, staff friendly and hard working. Home made lemonade was tasty. A huge minus - public toilets on the parking (this place has no toilets of their own) - just too disgusting 🤢. No one wants to look into a huge hole full of 💩🤢
Helena V — Google review
Safari Bar is the farest point of the Premantura Park but it worth because of the view which is stunning. To find a table you will need to be patient and prices are high (it doesn't always depend from the location, because you can't ask 5€ for a home-made lemonade 🤯). Your children will have fun thanks to the wooden playground they built and don't forget to enjoy nature around you ❣️
Cami L — Google review
Safari Bar – perfect escape from heat and sun blaze. When the Mediterranean sun is blazing at 33°C and the sky is crystal clear, Safari Bar is a perfect hideaway to cool down and relax. Every table is shaded, surrounded by a maze of bamboo huts and dry grass walls, creating an exotic and cozy atmosphere. The venue is cleverly designed with separate areas: a food bar offering tasty snacks for €7–10, prepared quickly, and a cocktail & drinks bar with no queues. You’ll also find an ATM on-site, two large swings, three recreational ping-pong tables, and a small playground for children. Some seating spots offer beautiful views of the beach. Safari Bar is lively, with a pleasant buzz of conversation and calm background music. It’s an excellent place to take a break from the sun, recharge, and enjoy the shade. Ratings: Atmosphere & exotic vibe: ★★★★★ (10/10) Ambience: ★★★★★ (10/10) Food & drink convenience: ★★★★★ (10/10) Added bonus: The bar provides the quickest access to a popular “snorkeling spot,” where you can enjoy rocky shoreline sunbathing and underwater adventures.

Lovelly spot. Great view. Good prizes. Toys for childes.

Amazing! The food is cheap and tasty even if they dont have many different options. Its worth visiting the bamboo plants offer great shades and vibes❤️👍
Zoja B — Google review
Very beautiful place! The best form the best! Food, cocktails and the best sea! Perfect combination!
Natalie R — Google review
**** dog friendly **** What a lovely and surprising snackbar right at the tip of Istria. The theme is that of Pirates, so a great way to let your kids roam around while you chuck back a few. The food was great, I had a fantastic Grilled Calamari Sandwhich, along with a generous portion of Olives & Cheese - 5 Stars for the food!!! Parking is right next to the Safari bar, so are the cliffs to watch cliffdivers or simply sunbathe. And the genius idea to provide shelter from the sun, simply clever!! After a long 2 hour hike out in the sun, this was exactly what we were hoping for!

Cliff Jump

Wildlife refuge
Cliff Jump is an exhilarating destination that promises adventure for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike. Located just a short drive from the charming Apartments Green Village Premantura, this site features stunning rock formations where visitors can leap into the crystal-clear waters below. With heights reaching up to 15 meters, there are jumps suitable for all levels of daring adventurers. The area also boasts vibrant marine life, making it perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts eager to explore underwater caves and observe colorful fish.
Awesome place with a couple of cliffs from where you can jump into the crystal clear water. It starts from 1m height to more than 20m height. Apart from jumping the area is also great for swimming with a grove to explore if the waves are not too strong. Entrance into the park by car costs 15 Euro in the peak season. But you can also park the car outside the gates and choose one of the many walkways. However, the cliffs are on the southmost tip which is around 4km away from the park entrance.
Danny C — Google review
Awesome spot with good jumping spots, a cave, and lots of marine life. The path to parking is narrow and WILL scratch your car. Would recommend to park elsewhere and walk
Ardo C — Google review
Nice place, but very bizzy.. You also do not can sit relaxed because of the hard rocks… The clif jump itself is very cool!
Rodney R — Google review
Yes the roads to get in are terrible and you have to pay, but look at the water! As far as I could tell there are no sandy beaches, but there are little rock shelves you can set up your towel on and sunbathe or relax. And the water! Crystal clear and so warm. Hands down my favourite beach in Istria
Kayley N — Google review
jumping from little or high cliffs. You have to pay €15 to enter with a car. Slow driving from the point you enter the park, to the beach you want to go to. Because of the dust and all the stones that can really damage your tires. Not very comfortable to lay down, but you are there to swim!! I think the highest cliff you can jump from (video) is around 35 to 40 meters.. correct me if I'm wrong.
Marijn M — Google review
the island itself is worth going there! its beautiful! ( be a bit careful if you have kids, fence is not that great anymore😆 )

Cliffs & Caves of Kamenjak

4.7
(948)
Hiking area
Kamenjak, located about 10 kilometers south of Pula in Istria, is a stunning natural attraction known for its towering rocks perfect for cliff jumping and sea caves ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The area offers a variety of beaches, including a sandy one, with crystal clear waters teeming with fish. Visitors can enjoy long walks along the coastline and take in the peaceful surroundings.
Awesome look out point. We weren't able to jump or swim because of high eaves and strong wind. But we loved every moment of it. Rented bikes and cycled around
Adrian A — Google review
Awesome place to swim and dive / jump from cliffs. There are plenty of different heights to jump in from. We did them all, including the really high one (50 feet?) right where the rope is. You can also swim into a pretty cave that has sunlight filter in. We loved it and went back the following day but that is all we could take because we did end pretty banged up from the tall jump. I got a really sore butt and a slight whiplash from falling not perfectly straight, my younger son (15) also ended up with a sore butt, and my oldest (18) with a large bruise on his side from a failed flip attempt that caused him to belly flop. The highest jump isn’t a joke - I would not call it life threatening but expect to be in some degree of pain if you don’t nail the landing…
David C — Google review
Rocky beach, small cave dug in the rocky shore. The way there is not for all the cars, ATV or bike are recommended. There are only few areas with shadow, otherwise is very hot during the afternoon.
Cristian B — Google review
Fabulous views, perfect water conditions. Better to choose more protected lagoons on windy days
Andrej I — Google review
Fantastic nature park, beautiful beaches, clear water, nice bars. Only downside is that you have to pay 15 euros entrance and it can get busy, but having said that: if you walk a bit further than most people you’ll find pristine beaches.
Esther — Google review
This part of the sea looks very mystical, the caves are fun to explore, and you can jump down to the water from the cliffs, highest jump position is like ~20 meter tall.
Lajos M — Google review
Kamenjak is a fantastic place, many beaches, even one sandy, crystal, clear water, you can dive and admire fish! You can walk there all day. Peace and quite.

Nature & Parks
National Parks
Kamenjak, located near the charming town of Premantura in Croatia, is a nature park that boasts a rugged coast, uninhabited islets, stunning cliffs, and beautiful beaches and bays. The area offers a wide variety of outdoor activities such as cliff diving and exploring wild beaches. With its clear water beaches and diverse orchids, Kamenjak is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike. The park also features a Safari Bar for visitors to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Very nice park. 15 euro fee for one car for one day. Easy to buy a ticket online with car plate number. Be aware, very rocky roads. The park has access to numerous small and big beaches with their own charm. By car you can reach almost all the beaches with a small walk.
J L — Google review
It was such a delight to our eyes and on a good weather day, would be a great place for snorkelling, kayaking or diving. When we went, the water was quite chill and we went around the sunset time… it was so beautiful and calming just to sit around watching the nature and listen to the waves.
Hemalatha P — Google review
Very nice place, clear blue water like in a movie, we arrived there with a scooter 👍 but the wasps kept following me 😭
Ermittler69 — Google review
Tourist Trap! More Cars than flowers, huge amounts of people, Waste all around in the nature. We really expected something else. Place would have the potential to be very nice, but with today’s concept it has little to do with a real nature park or reservoir - it is in fact an overcrowded beach area. Not worth the 15€ you have to pay. There are way better areas for botanical lovers and to go swimming - for free.

Wonderful place to enjoy, swim and snorkel. The toilets are always clean. Nice place!
Jemima P — Google review
While nature is undoubtedly the highlight, the overall experience is undermined by a lack of environmental stewardship and overwhelming crowds. The Park appears to prioritize tourism revenue over preservation. Although cycling is promoted and rentals are readily available, there are no dedicated cycling paths. Cyclists are forced to share the same narrow, dusty roads with cars and pedestrians, creating a chaotic and unsafe environment. Vehicles are allowed to drive all the way to the cliffs, stirring up dust and adding noise and pollution to what should be a wild natural setting. Beaches are overcrowded and loud, far from the atmosphere one might expect in a safeguarded National Park. The result is a place that feels less like a protected natural area and more like a chaotic amusement park—an Instagram backdrop rather than a space for mindful, eco-conscious exploration. Kamenjak could be so much more if efforts were made to promote sustainable tourism: car restrictions, proper cycling infrastructure, limits on visitor numbers, and a focus on environmental education would go a long way. As it stands, it’s hard to fully appreciate the beauty when it's being overrun and exploited.

Donji Kamenjak paesaggio protetto

Nature preserve
Donji Kamenjak Paesaggio Protetto is a stunning protected peninsula in Istria, renowned for its vibrant yellow centaury flowers and picturesque small coves. This natural paradise offers an array of walking trails that lead you through breathtaking landscapes. Visitors can enjoy the serene beaches like Mala Kolumbarica and Mali Portic while soaking in spectacular sunset views. Exploring this area by bike is highly recommended, allowing you to hop from beach to beach and discover hidden gems along the coastline.
Amazing discovery of the Kamenjak natural park and definitely worth the 10 euros of entry fee! The views are stunning. The bars don’t look great through so I would not recommend relying on these for lunch. But otherwise highly recommend visiting this park. The best would be with a bike :)
Floriane G — Google review
Absolutely worth visit. I was in Mai with bike. You are nearer the environment and the plus, no tickets needed. There were no crowds, what is in Summer.
Hellwegschlesien — Google review
Just perfect. Dirty car no wash. Better if you cycling or got a quad. High cliff jumps. So fun.
Andras M — Google review
I would definitely recommend a visit to Kamenjak, I’d say it was a highlight of our holiday. There’s so much to do there and so much natural beauty. You pay 15€ to get in by card payment only. You pull over and the entrance and queue to pay, then you access though a barrier to go wherever you like in the park. Make sure you take plenty of cash, as once you get in it is cash only for food, drinks, ice creams and boat hire/aquapark etc. You could have a full day out there and see lots. There were a few parts we missed, purely due to lack of time so if you want to see it all, get there early! Things to take: beach shoes as there’s no comfortable ground, a snorkel and goggles, a picnic and plenty of water and the usual beach stuff. If you want to be more comfortable on the beach/ground/rocks, take a padded blanket or an inflatable. But there were sun loungers and umbrellas you could use. Enjoy!
Catherine — Google review
If you decide to reach this panoramic point of you, I suggest you to drive and not going by walk 'cause it's pretty far from the main entrance of Premantura Park. While your driving on the main path, be careful with your car and respect the speed limit of 20km/h, in order to respect also the people around you. Don't worry you won't miss this amazing place and you'll be also able to park your car on the side of the road. You can take memory picture of yourself cornered by a beautiful wood frame. Don't forget to take a break there, breath the nature around you and think about how lucky we are to have such beautiful protected areas. ❤️
Cami L — Google review
After paying the entrance fee of 15€, a macadam road takes you to the parking lot after a couple of km. The effort is rewarded with beautiful nature. Unfortunately, some people are really careless..they leave everything from bags to cans and various other garbage in the bushes. I took my time and watched the people. I have to add that by far the rudest are the Italians. Why is it so hard to clean up after yourself?
Franci K — Google review
Great place to spend a few hours, and especially the cliff areas !!! Try to avoid the main dirt roads when walking as there is a lot of dust raised by the cars. Also try to go as early as possible as it is getting very crowded after 10AM in the peak season.

Beach Pinižule, situated in the cove of the same name on the western side of Cape Kamenjak, offers a mix of pebbled and concrete areas with a gentle walkway. The calm and shallow sea is comfortably warm, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. While some parts are rocky, the beach remains easily accessible. With clear blue waters and diverse marine life, it's an ideal spot for snorkeling.
Beautiful beach and lots of spots to sit. There’s a good amount of shade from the trees and also good spots on the rocks to enjoy the sun. Parking lot is very convenient and mostly in the shade.

Stelios K — Google review
This is a dog friendly area. You can park outside of the compound and walk to this beach as it is 5 min closer if you park inside and pay 15 euros. The sea is crystal clear. Highly recommended it but would advise to come early as it is harder to find a good shaded spot later.
Hood6081 — Google review
Beautiful beach, perfect for families with children! There’s a wooden platform for easy access to the rocky beach, with stunning views both around and underwater. Entrance to Kamenjak Park costs €15 per car, but it’s better to buy your ticket online for €13.50 per passenger car and skip the long queue (tickets available at Kamenjak site). Highly recommended!

Istarska Farma - Bar & Restaurant is a traditional Istrian "konoba" located in the southern part of Istria, specifically on Cape Kamenjak. This establishment is well-known for its stunning scenery, rich plant diversity, and abundant wildlife. Positioned in the heart of Premantura's peninsula, it offers authentic Balkan cuisine.
There is a fee for entry, but if you dine at the restaurant with a voucher, you don't have to pay for parking. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.

Excellent homemade pasta. Sea food was fresh and delicious. Great, fast and friendly service. Offers daily menus (dish + salad). Prices definitely dont feel high for the quality of the food you get on your plate.
David B — Google review
Nice place with good food and big portions, bit more pricey
Katarína K — Google review
Unfortunatly i do not like the food they offer, lots of sea food and pasta meals. I never ate but my son and two friends did. My son had pasta with meat but never finished it he said it was not nice, it did look like a watery minced meat with pasta, the other boy had the same and also did not like it. The other adult had octopus salad and said it was ok. Can find it helpful when you have been on the beach for the day. They have animals you can look at but not much else. I will not return.
Iain H — Google review
The only place in Kamenjak you can eat. They don’t accept cards, only cash. The food may have been local but overall it was a bit underwhelming. Since it is the only option, it was alright.
Marek R — Google review
They just take cash and I recognized too late that 15€ missing. I offered them several digital payment to any account in this world they want, but they denied. It is an restaurant with higher average prices , but they brought me in their own car to Premantura to ATM and back. OK it was my mistake but that is childish and far away from professional tourism.

I loved the food. Perfect done mixed meat. Best food I ever had since the first time I visited Istra back in 2009. My wifes cousin Umberto took us there yesterday. Wow!!! Nice location to bathe and wait for the sunset on Premantura peninsula. There’s a small beach bar with food and drinks set among the pine trees. There’s music to chill under the pines.
Mihnea B — Google review
The beach is hidden, beautiful and intended for small children. Because it is very popular, it fills up quickly. There are several smaller bays along the beach. The bar on the beach only accepts cash, which bothered me a lot. The excuse was that they don't have internet, which is not true because I used it myself. The prices are high, the portions are small. This beach is also included in the 15€ entrance fee and is accessed via a dirt road. The place plays very loud techno music.
Franci K — Google review
Its better and cheaper to pay online for car Kamenjak park entrance, there is separate gate for pre paid cars. Great beach, easy to approach by car, 4x4 helps but not needed. Bar is also good but you can only pay by cash. Clear water and also a small cliff for jumping.

Paradise! The pine forest behind the beach is perfect to put a tent and an hammock, and to relax. There is a big parking before the beach (5 minutes walking) but you can also get at the beach with the car, just don’t do it after 11 because probably there won’t be spaces for parking. The bar on the beach has a lot of options (burgers, cevapcici…) at a reasonable price (10-11€ to eat, 4€ for beers, 2€ wine, 7€ spritz) and there are toilets. The water was amazing 🤩

Excellent spot for snorkeling! Great place to learn it also because of the calm (very) clear waters. This has to be the hidden gem in this area, incredibly beautiful on a sunny hot day! Is this the perfect beach?! It sure is mine!
Dennis B — Google review
Great beach, although access is a little difficult. Large area to park and nice pebbles (not too hard). Some shade available on the rocks, but not on the beach. Lots of fish to see and interesting underwater rocks to explore. No bar.

Great beach, fun for kids. Waves, peables and pine wood
Marijana P — Google review
I don't recommend this beach. Small, rocky with difficult ascent. The journey on foot takes over 30m from Premantura. High waves and lack of descent for people sitting on the rocks around the bay.
Marcin J — Google review
The beach is rocky, the water is clear and beautiful with lot of fish. There was enough place not too crowded. The Parking place is about 2-300 meters away.

Nature & Parks
Bijeca is a popular beach located in the family-friendly resort of Medulin, Croatia. It features a rocky coastline with clear water and a gravel bottom, making it perfect for sunbathing and water sports. This 1km stretch of sandy beach offers gently sloping shallows, ideal for paddling and safe for families with small children. The area is well-serviced with local cafes, bars, restaurants, sun loungers, and parasols available for hire.
I think this is a nice sandy beach ⛱️ with showers, toilets, bars, and playground on the water. Do not expect super clean water, a little bit further in the water there is a rocky coast where the water turns to clean and deep, before it's shallow. If you are looking for a quiet and not buzzing place, you won't find it here. Not dog friendly 🐶🚫

Long and beautiful beach. Very very low water, gets very hot during the summer. It is very suitable for families with small children, for adults - if you want to swim, I would recommemd another beach. There is quite a lot of trash to be seen, cigarette butts and various plastics are everywhere. It is a shame because it is very nice beach.
Diana M — Google review
Wonderful beach, lots of free sunbeds, good price, ideal for families with children as there is sand and the sea is not deep
Дмитрий П — Google review
The beach is sandy versus rocky and was very crowded the day we went there. The water is very shallow making it ideal for families with small children. Unfortunately the water was very murky and there was even feces floating in the water. We paid for the kids to go on the floating playground and it was also filthy with poo. We have dubbed this the “poo strand”and don’t recommend this beach unless you have small children. The other side where there are stones versus sand has cleaner water and allowed for a much nicer swim. We had to go further out past the barrier to the deeper water to enjoy clean water. There are much nicer beaches in other areas.
Victoria Z — Google review
Not a particularly clean beach. Very big but still was packed. Only sand beach we went to during our week in Pula, half sand half of it rocks. We went to swim and the water was really murky, not pleasant at all which I don't know if that's unusual or not. Every other beach we went to was crystal clear beautiful water. We decided to not swim, pack up and leave and went to another smaller beach which was less crowded and clear.
Frankie C — Google review
The only sandy beach within the area. Nice shallow water suitable for kids. Unfortunately way too crowded on just any day. The beach also looks a bit dirty because of that.
Michal C — Google review
Really nice sandy beach which is perfectly fine for younger children. Different restaurants, bars and shops along the promenade. In early Summer (end of June) enough space. Only four stars because the toilets are really dirty, there is never any toilet paper and nobody seems to be emptying the trash cans.
Alexandra B — Google review
Dirty and crowded beach, you need to go 200 meters to get proper water deep to swim

Restaurant Premantura Resort is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The elegant and soothing atmosphere, accompanied by smooth live music, sets the stage for an exquisite culinary journey. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, with highlights such as Pljukanci sa tartufima, which perfectly captures the essence of Istrian cuisine. Guests praise the warm and accommodating staff, particularly Mrs. Zdenka who adds a personal touch to the service.
A very nice and elegant place. The food was very good. The two of us got pljukanci with arugula and prosciutto and as a main dish pork with kajmak and sweet potato pure. Our boyfriends got pljukanci with mushrooms, shrimps and prawns and as a main dish vegetables with shark. They have a variety of deserts, we had cheesecake with citrus and peach and a chocolate cake with raspberries.

Nice location and very cozy, service is a little bit slow but hearty and nice. However the smell is horrible. I think there is some discard facility nearby so depending on the wind, it smells horrible like an old public toilet. I know it is not the hotels fault but please, do something about the smell! Plant some fragipani or some smelling flowers because this is so so horrible! However, apart from the smell, everything is lovely

We spent the week here as a family of four with two children under 3 years old. The staff were very kind and considerate. A big thank you to Mark and Feorell for being very helpful and thoughtful. The 4 star would be because of the repeat dish (half board menu), but the rest of the food was lovely.

Great ambient , the staff is really friendly. They meet all your needs. Food was great! Would really recommend if you are looking for an authentical grill and sea food restaurant with a see view. Thank you Zdenka for your hospitality!

Excellent service, great selection of food, everything was fresh and tasty 😋

Good experience! Lovely place to rest. Just peace, not turistic. People from restaurant are enjoying their jobs and give us extra services. Chef Zdenka gives us special small plate of croatian cheeses to wine out of price list to us. One of best in my life - mixed cheeses gently on olive oil with local fruits and peppers. Live music today. Friendly stuff. Many thanks 🫠

San Lorenzo is a highly recommended restaurant located on the Adriatic coast, known for its excellent pizza and burgers. Visitors praise the impeccable service, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The staff is described as kind and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Guests appreciate the delicious food, including grilled squid and unique cocktails. The restaurant's fast service even during busy times has left patrons satisfied with their meals.
This is definitely the best pizza/burger place in the entire Adriatic coast that we have been traveling for 3 weeks. The food is excellent and the service impeccable. The portions are large but the prices are extremely reasonable. We already ate twice in this lovely restaurant and will come back again. I recommend this wonderful place to anyone who loves pizza and burgers!

We recently enjoyed a visit to San Lorenzo and had a truly fantastic experience. We tried two pizzas, both of which were excellent – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The real highlight, however, was the service: our waiter was simply exceptional – attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. It’s rare to encounter such outstanding hospitality, and we were truly impressed. We can wholeheartedly recommend Pizzeria San Lorenzo, both for the quality of the food and the wonderful service. We will definitely be coming back!

Perfect, very good Burgers und Pizza aus and we enjoyed our stay - we'll be back 🥳🤘 Service was perfect and the joke with the ONE olive on the Pizza was.... Just good 🤣😅👍👍👍

Perfect food, super nice and friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere with friendly prices. They made us a cocktail that is not on the menu. A highly recommended place, in my opinion.
Adrián S — Google review
Ordered just a simple margarita pizza to share with my friend, together with their ”homemade” lemonade… Turns out the lemonade is just water flavored with some artificial shit, nothing homemade about it at ALL. And the Margarita was supposed to have ”fresh” basil, olives and mozarella - no olives OR mozarella on the pizza at all, just a sprinkle of dried OREGANO. Stay away from these liars.

Delicious pizza, Istrian style, with very hospitable, attentive staff, friendly service. Quick and hassle free dining experience at a reasonable price. Recommended! 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🤌🍕

The place has just the right music, friendly staff. Both the boss and the employees are friendly. I recommend it to everyone. We will always come to this place when we are in this city.
Franci K — Google review
Service, ambient and atmosphere great. Food quality poor. Ingredients quality low, especially pizza. Shredded (not) mozzarella, cheapest salami, dough so-so. Burgers overpriced.
