Ski & Snowboard Areas
Les Saisies is a stunning mountain resort that transforms with the seasons, offering exhilarating downhill skiing in winter and thrilling mountain-biking trails during the summer months. Nestled at an altitude of 1600m, it provides breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and makes summer hikes more accessible. The charming village boasts a variety of restaurants serving local cuisine, including delicious cheese and wine that are not to be missed.
Great ski resort with plenty of slopes and runs to suit most people. There are many activities across the area including skiing, walking, cross-country skiing and taboggan runs. It caters for the French (obviously and understandably), but this means that the prices are reasonable and the food and drink are good. Just don't tell the British!
Geoff S — Google review
Lovely village, great hikes from there with stunning bike rides too (both mtb and road). Great bakery and fromageries too. Highly recommend to stay instead of the better known resorts in summer
Robert B — Google review
This resort has a great range of skiing certainly for green red and blue runs. I cannot comment on the blacks! There's good variation within each category also. The lifts are gradually being updated and lots are bigger and faster than formerly. The station has a great record for snow coverage when others are barren. Parking and bus access good also.
Kathryn R — Google review
What a Ski vacation!! This Station it's just amazingly beautiful. And gigantic. Even in a whole week, we couldn't make the whole thing. Small cozy village, with multiple choices on restaurants, pizzeria and local cuisine. We had the most perfect weather. We chose the last week of February and we can't regret a thing.

Nestled among towering fir trees, Parc des Elfes is a delightful escape perfect for families seeking adventure and relaxation. This beautifully designed park offers a refreshing retreat during the hot summer months, making it an ideal spot to unwind while your kids explore. With treetop courses suitable for children as young as 3 years old, even the littlest adventurers can join in on the fun. The park features engaging ground activities like treasure hunts that challenge young minds with puzzles to solve.
(Translated by Google) A very beautiful wooded park. There are 4-5 large treetop courses that are secure and accessible for very young children (height >80cm). Our 20 month old daughter loves it. Regarding the price, it's like the Saisies station: it's expensive. Allow €14 per person (children and accompanying persons) as soon as you wish to go to the aerial structures. It's free for children under 2 years old. Entrance is valid all day, you can enter and exit if you wish. I advise you to plan a picnic. The place has many picnic tables in the shade.

Please pay extreme attention to the "luge" on rails. It is unsafe because it does not have automatic braking at the end of the ride. People can get hurt. My kid was involved in a crash. Unlike any other luge where the car automatically breaks at the end of the ride, in this IT DOESN'T. I don't understand how this is legal.

(Translated by Google) Nice course, in good condition. Unfortunately, big downside: no exit protection: direct on the road (watch the videos). Amazing that the city/the OT validated this project...? Edit in response to the owner: I'm not talking about voluntary entry/exit, which is effectively the opposite; I was talking about an accidental exit from the road... when we see that 3-year-old children are riding scooters among the older ones doing acrobatics on BMX bikes, I'm just very surprised that there isn't even a small safety net on the road side! Anyway, I think the videos speak for themselves... everyone will judge according to their own risk level criteria!

Restaurant La Cavale is a charming dining spot located conveniently near the road and slopes, making it accessible for skiers and non-skiers alike. The ambiance is distinctly Savoie despite the presence of Swiss or Danish flags. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, generous and delicious dishes, as well as the picturesque setting with a quiet terrace offering stunning views. While some mention longer wait times for service, overall it's described as an excellent experience with quality cuisine suitable for all ages.
Warm home atmosphere, great food. Definitely recommended to visit. Finished late and no taxis were available, the restaurant owner gave us a ride to the hotel (2 rides for 8 people ) despite fully occupied restaurant. Speechless

We made a reservation in the restaurant la Cavale in February for 9 people and where quickly sat down at a very nice table, and where attended to very promptly by very friendly staff, the restaurant had a wide variety of soft drinks, beer and high quality wines. The menu was in French, but the staff made the effort to help us understand the food. There was a wide variety of local foods and well known foods. We didn’t have to wait too long for the over 11 plates of food, and everyone at the table loved the food and had no complaints. Definitely recommend visiting and trying some good food in a delightful restaurant.

Terrible service. We wanted a table of 8. I was waiting as it was full. She served a table of 7 before us (French) even if I told her I was waiting and she knew I was waiting. Also, after telling me to wait, she turned to her colleague and made a face (like in disgust) as I have the guts to ask for our table. Never again she also refused to serve us at the linge area (where there were tables) after waiting for 1h!!!

Very good ambiance and place but the service is bad during noon time. You should wait a hamburger for 1 hour and water will come in 45 mins after you remind them 3 times. Foods are good no question but service is terrible.

La Table des Armaillis is a top restaurant in Les Saisies that offers an upscale dining experience with a gourmet menu. The restaurant is known for its delicious local dishes and great atmosphere, making it highly recommended for visitors looking for a high-quality dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant provides an excellent option for those seeking an elegant and refined culinary experience in the area.
This is a hidden gem. High in the mountain village. As for the menu, it's a perfect proposal: very local, great ingredients, fresh, and the Chef's touch makes the full surprise. How fantastic is it to have very fine local dishes: when you hear "Mountain dishes from the Savoie" you wouldn't expect it prepared in a very fine and delicate way. This different. High class cuisine. Magic. And the wine card: the selection is perfectly balanced, largely enough choice of absolute serious wines. Quite a lot available per glass as well. And even some in 1/2 bottle. A selection that makes me happy. Not the absolute top of the French wines, but defenitely well selected, without being over priced or way over the top. And the service: very warm and friendly, not stiff at all but professional and polite, very communicative and sharp active to their customers. I really feel welcome and well served here! I'd seriously recommend this restaurant for a dinner and even an end of the day moment. It's certainly not low budget, but not expensive at all regarding the very high-end level of this restaurant!

We went here on our last night after a great week in Les Saisies, with high expectation as they get some great reviews but sadly left very disappointed. They are trying too hard to be fancy but the customer service really lets the place down. Too much time spent on the serving aesthetics which leads to key items being missed off the main dishes and tables not being cleared. Portions were very small and not overly impressive compared to the menu descriptions. Dessert was the best out of the 3 courses. Could see what they are trying to achieve but wouldn’t recommend the visit, there are some much nicer places in town. We saw lots of people having to leave early as no one cleared their table or took dessert orders. Our main server sadly did not smile all evening and was not at all apologetic, even when things were mentioned that deserved an apology (such as missing items from the meal) and after 2.5 hours, we had to leave quickly due to our bus. When we mentioned that we needed to leave and get the bill, there was still no urgency which led us to have to point out how poor we had found the whole experience which sadly even then didn’t lead to an apology. The positives were the nice interior, the smart toilets and the intention to create something different to the usual Savoyard cuisine.

Not the experience we were looking for when we booked. 11 degrees outside and the main door was kept open the whole time - a cold place to have dinner. The room is generic and not comfortable. But let’s talk about the food - an entree of local cheese and tomatoes, quite unusual for “mountain cuisine”. Low temperature pork was uneven, with over cooked parts not tender at all. Chives were everywhere - literally, on every meal. The vegetarian main dish had no flavour at all, with different iterations of the same veggie, carrots in this particular case. We clearly saw other tables adding salt to their meals.. in the end, we went to this place because of the Michelin guide. In our opinion, it shouldn’t be there at all. Lots of improvements needed on the kitchen side - on the other hand, staff is very friendly. This review doesn’t want to sound rude or mean, it was just a terrible personal experience.
Luca R — Google review
Quite a disappointing experience. Food was ok, the taste was good, but not truly refined. The service though… We had to wait for the drinks 40 minutes after arrival. In total, we spent there 2 hours 15 minutes and only had an entree and a main, everything was very slow. I wouldn’t have put them into Michelin guide (yet). Surprisingly, the bill is higher than in Michelin guide restaurants of the same or higher level in Paris.

Télésiège du Chozal (Les-Saisies - Espace Diamant)

4.1
(20)
Mountain cable car
Nestled in the stunning Espace Diamant region, the Télésiège du Chozal serves as a vital link for skiers looking to explore Les Saisies and its surrounding areas. This chairlift is conveniently located above the charming village of Hauteluce, making it an ideal starting point for your alpine adventures. With easy access to free parking and shuttle services, it's perfect for day trips on the slopes.
(Translated by Google) Hauteluce is one of the access stations to the alpine ski area of Les Saisies and Espace Diamant. We passed by there during our recent ski vacation and actually had lunch there one morning. Hauteluce is a nice and quiet place. We found it to be a good access point to the domain although we must bear in mind that to ski down to Hauteluce you have to descend a red one with demanding sections (Balme). Furthermore, you must keep in mind that the elevation is low (1,200 meters above sea level) and that the orientation is not good (South), so the snow may be of worse quality than on the slopes of Les Saisies that are higher up. In fact, although it has snow cannons and our stay coincided with some snowfall the days before, the red slope had hard and difficult snow. I think there is the possibility of going up and down avoiding the descent of the red Balme using the TS Chozal. If your level is not very high and you want to access the domain from Hauteluce, first ask at the ticket offices if they will let you go down with this lift. The slopes that reach the top of the TS Chozal are blue and are not that complicated, so an average skier should have no problems accessing the area, skipping the difficult descent of the red Balme slope. In Hauteluce, next to the ticket offices, there is also a hors-sac hall where you can eat indoor picnics and toilets. There is also some space to park your car if you come skiing during the day. Buenas huellas ;-)

And leaving 4 or 5 skiers behind when he was supposed to close the slope! An absolute shame to which was added threats of vile slander. There are reconstructions of classrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, between the end of the 19th and the middle of the 20th century, large panels dedicated to the construction of the Girotte dam, the parachute drop on Les Saisies, the birth of recreational skiing and the development of the ski resort, various instruments. It may lack a little explanation and we regret, in hindsight, that little space is reserved for Beaufort cheese but it is still very good. Nice restaurant with good food at a decent price. Our "fondue aux cèpes" was quite runny and lacking both character in its cheese and depth in its mushroom taste, the bread was not dry, but still the meal was good. (Translated by Google) We had a wonderful week at this charming little hotel. The view is sublime (especially from the pool!), and the Mazot chalet was perfect for the three of us (clean, beautifully decorated, very quiet...). We also really appreciated the quality of the food served in the restaurant as well as the service from the entire staff. A special mention goes to the quality and diversity of the wine list. What a pleasure! Finally, a big thank you to Frédéric for sharing his knowledge of wines and spirits and for the end-of-stay gift. We will definitely be back! Famille Rozner

Very nice restaurant on the slope of Les Saisies with great local dishes. Do ask for them!

Lovely unplanned lunch stop for us. Delicious food, very friendly service in a beautiful setting.

Everything deserves 5 stars from the view to the service. The food was delicious: the chef revisits the region’s specialties into original twists and it works perfectly (spritz with Génépi, salade de Crozet..). Really happy we found this gem after a beautiful hike in les Saisies.

(Translated by Google) Great lunch at Chalet Mignod! We had booked a Sunday lunchtime in January for a short break during our day of skiing (the restaurant is also accessible on foot via two paths starting from the seizures, super practical). The service is very friendly, the decoration very pretty (not to mention the incredible setting) and the food excellent! Delicious options for vegetarians (I chose the crispy-soft polenta and wow!!) and the desserts are super delicious! I would return with great pleasure! Thanks to the whole team!

A+++ Food was crazy good. Service was perfect

Had a beer there with friends before heading back to the chalet we were staying at. It is a great place to end a good day of skiing. The view is very nice and they have many deck chairs laid out outside. Perfect on a sunny day.

Very nice mountain restaurant. Some really good and fresh food in huuuge quantities. Be careful when you take a starter and the main dish ... it ill be difficult for the desert... The owner has an excellent staff and great realtion to the clients It's great to return here year after year and see that the change of the owners didn't have a negative incidence on the quality of the service. It is great! Fast, efficient with a smile. Very nice food from the region but also everyday something different. If you're in need of a gluten free diet just tell it to the lady and she will help you find a great food ! Really really enjoy coming back here.

Too expensive and staff is too pushy. If you are just for pancakes and hot chocolate than place you will get is between entrance doors and toilets. But if you are eating full menus lunch then you will get much better position with the view.
Albin — Google review
Pricey and really slow service. Epically slow to be honest. Nearly 40 minutes to order a coffee with plenty staff milling about and it wasn't very busy at all.
Iain D — Google review
Overpriced drinks....5 euros for a lukewarm hot chocolate in a small glass. Disgusting toilets.
