QC Terme Pré Saint Didier is a stunning thermal spa located at the foot of Mont Blanc in Valle d'Aosta. The thermal waters have been renowned since Roman times for their healing properties, and the spa itself has a rich history dating back to the 17th century.
Really beautiful facility. Aperitif pleasantly surprised us! Focaccia, crackers, cheese, meat, drinks. Experience felt worth the money but maybe a little crowded by the outdoor pools.
Abby — Google review
The location and pools were great. Most pools had luke warm water with the exception of the pool at the top, which was hot. The dry sauna was hot and delightful. The inside water rooms were fun. My problem was with the staff. The young lady with brown hair and glasses who was in charge of seating for the aperitif on August 1 at 1900 was very rude. She came to our table and instead of making polite conversation with us, she told us story after story about how our home country was full of stupid people, we don't know geography, our food is bad, and we all go around waving guns. Although she has never been to our home country, she was sure to tell us everything wrong with it. It was uncomfortable and insulting.
Jesse V — Google review
Amazing experience! From the very beginning staff were nice and helpful, the service was great throughout. The location is absolutely perfect - you swim in the hot water underneath the snowy Mont Blanc. The views and scenery is gorgeous. The place’s facilities are great, the have plenty of hot baths (covered and outside) so it is never too crowded, and they have saunas, relaxing area, massages and lunch. The food at lunch was excellent as well. You receive everything you need - a towel, slippers and a robe, and even a change of robe if you have lunch. The shower area is very well equipped and well designed. Absolutely recommended!
Amit O — Google review
Not the best experience at this spa, we went there at 6, and given a happy hour at 6:45. Which we completely missed because there is only a single clock hidden in one of the buildings. Also we where not told that there are no food options on the premises, so we went hungry for our time there. Many people brought their phones in to take pictures, videos and face time, this made us uncomfortable. I would not recommend people going to this spa for a relaxing time, the view is wonderful, but you don't need to be in this spa to see it. Also there where no employee's to speak to about issues.
Moksii — Google review
The facilities are great. The Lady with classes working in the Bistro was very rude. We were not informed that the Bistro was only available up until a certain time. We missed the slot and were Rudely expelled

Absolutely stunning spa getaway in the mountains. Went here while on a rest day in Coumayeur hiking along the Tour du Mont Blanc, and it was the highlight of my rest. Felt refreshed to get back on the trail the next day.
Christopher S — Google review
The views are beautiful. However, Was extremely disappointed here. (Only used spa and had lunch and aperitif) Have been to various QC TERME and this has to be the worst for service. The hospitality staff were rude and I wont go back to this particular qc. That being said every other QC has everything.
Sarah C — Google review
OK, so, we had a nice time. But it was pretty busy, maybe a bit too busy. And at times not very relaxing. The quiet 🤫 zone was really not very quiet. The aperitivo was a nice addition, much better than Chamonix but that's not a surprise, the difference between the standard of service between France and Italy is crazy 😅 especially when they are so close to each other! If I could change one thing, it would be this... Please make it a ban for people to use their phones in the Spa. There were people talking on their phones which is annoying in any public situation but man, the worst thing, THE WANT TO BE INFLUENCERS! This really was terrible and what's more, I don't want to be in the background of this "influencer's content! We had a couples massage and that really was great. Really good professionals. Hats off to you 👏 Conclusion Overall good. Slightly too busy. Massage was great. Influencers...get a life!

The park provides an excellent opportunity to explore the local ski resorts, thermal spas, national parks, and walking itineraries. Polite and well spoken English service. We had coffee and walks to the bridge overlooking the valley. The staff was helpful with showing us where to go… clean toilets and nice rustic sitting area.

We had a lot of fun, even though didn't have time to complete all the levels. It was also very affordable attraction IMO, and very fulfilling.
Gadi W — Google review
Zip line is fantastic. Courses are ok, enjoyed an afternoon here, would visit again if in the area.
Shaun H — Google review
Real fun for the whole family. We followed the standard route with five trails: blue, green, yellow, orange, and purple, just in time before the rain. A pleasant experience even for beginners. Parking was a challenge (since the place was full), but we managed. We recommend eating beforehand or bringing something to eat/snack, as the restaurant serves food during lunchtime; afterward, the only option is a simple toastie.

It has gained recognition for its commitment to excellence by sourcing the finest raw materials from both national and international markets. Visitors with a penchant for sweets will find Chocolat to be an irresistible destination.
Truly delicious pastry and chocolate shop. Everything I purchased—cake, cookies and chocolates—was fantastic. To have such a talented owner and creator serving you and explaining his creations to you shows the quality and authenticity of the place. In particular, the Sacher Torte was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Terrible! Prices are wrong! CHEATERS! Coffee listed one price payed different. Never coming back. Pastry: outdated, it's plan and tasteless, as if most of it was factory made frosen and just reheated. Coffee: sour, dark roast, cheap tasting. Hot chocolate: ... Just don't try to rate it as chocolate... It just cheap blend from package 🤮🤢

Ristorante Pepita in La Thuile is a charming and authentic Italian restaurant that stands out for its exceptional service, inviting ambiance, and high-quality cuisine. The menu offers excellent options including homemade pasta dishes and delectable desserts. The restaurant is also family-friendly, with attentive staff who cater to the needs of young children. Visitors praise the delicious food, particularly recommending the beef fillet and truffle pasta. Additionally, the wine list is impressive, offering a delightful selection to complement the meals.
One of the best dinners of my life. In my opinion it’s the best restaurant in town. The chocolate tower dessert is just something extraordinary worth comming just for it.

Excellent! This restaurant distinguishes itself from the others we visited in town because of the service, the ambiance and the quality of the food. Before visiting I read many good reviews and also read that in the evening they do not serve pizza. We made sure to leave some space for dessert so we sharedppetizer (apple and goat cheese, delicious), had each a primo (home made pasta, highly recommended) and each a dessert (the apple crumble was excellent). The service was impeccable and the food very tasty and nicely served. Certainly recommend!

At the Chalet of the Fontina DOP Cooperative in Pré-Saint-Didier, we were welcomed with great kindness and expertise by a family-run mother-and-son duo, who exude a sincere love for their products and the region. Fontina DOP, the queen of Aosta Valley tradition, is the undisputed star: deep, fragrant, with all the nuances of seasonality and mountain pasture. But butter, yogurt, cheeses, cured meats, and other artisanal products are also of the highest quality. In particular, the owner carefully provided us with informational materials from the cooperative, encouraging me—as an ONAF taster—to carefully study the origins, sensory characteristics, and production methods. A gesture that demonstrates care, respect, and pride in their work. A place where flavor is accompanied by the human and cultural value of the supply chain. Not to be missed. (Translated by Google) Quality and kindness. I bought some Fontina here, two different ages: one slightly firmer and more delicate, aged for 6 months, and one a little more flavorful, aged for 4 months. Both were very good and very reasonably priced. It's not your typical tourist trap; it's a small shop, but it made a great impression on me. (Original) Qualità e gentilezza. Day 2

Ski resort
Espace San Bernardo is a stunning international ski area that links the Italian town of La Thuile with the French town of La Rosiere, offering 152 km of slopes covered in white snow during winter. The ski slopes cater to all skill levels, from challenging tracks for professionals to easier ones for beginners. In summer, visitors can explore 170 km of trails in the La Thuile Bike World.
A great area for skiing with the option to ski both in the French and Italian Alps. There are a number of slopes for different levels and the longest one goes over 7 km. The facilities are well maintained as well.
HJLee — Google review
Very varied pistes between the 2 resorts. La Thuile has some great easy terrain for learners but also good cruising red runs at the pass that are North facing and are often on great condition. The front side has some properly steep black runs that are of world cup standard. La Rosierie feels totally different to La Thuile with it's wide pistes that face south. There's a good fun park here and a couple of new lifts to access off-piste. The coffee can be just as good here but it's much cheaper in La T. Big enough for most people for a week. Courmayeur is a free bus ride away if you get itchy feet.

The Chanousia Alpine Botanical Garden in northern Italy is a captivating destination showcasing an array of mesmerizing wildflowers from various corners of the globe. Despite limited time for exploration, visitors can still relish the beauty of this enchanting garden by arriving early enough to spend at least an hour roaming around. With its closure at 18:00 during summer, it is advisable to plan accordingly.
We really enjoyed the wonderful wildflowers. Only had about 20 minutes to explore. In the summer the garden closes at 18:00. So visit early enough to spend at least an hour roaming around.
Tim G — Google review
I was pretty unimpressed by this garden. No one was at the gate when we entered (we could hear people eating lunch in the house) so we wandered around on our own. There were lots of signs — more signs than plants actually. The garden was pretty, and laid out on the mountain side, with a couple of benches and a couple of tiny pools made by springs. It took maybe 10 minutes to wander around. Perhaps you need to be a botanist to appreciate it. As we left, a girl ran to the gate and charged us 18 euros. This felt very cheeky, as the garden is not good value for money, and at least a small reduction in price would have been fairer. We crossed the road to the alpine meadow opposite, which is free, and very pretty.

Little St Bernard Pass, also known as Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo, is a high-elevation route that offers a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The area boasts ancient stone relics at the summit and a botanical garden. It has been inhabited and frequented in various historical eras, leaving behind intriguing traces for visitors to explore. Beautiful road! Not very high, but very beautiful. The Little St Bernard Pass (Italian: Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo) is a mountain pass in the Alps on the France–Italy border. The falls are particularly popular during the spring and summer months when the glacier melts, causing an increased water flow. A scenic trail crosses the falls, offering hikers an easy yet breathtaking experience as they encounter three distinct waterfalls along the way. The route also leads to Rifugio Albert Deffeyes, providing panoramic views of Mont Blanc, nearby glaciers, and lakes.
A beauty. Walking through the falls has been quite an experience. Kids will love it. The full walk stretches through the upper lake and gets to the root of the glacier. It takes 3 hours in total. Around 1000m from bottom to the top. Worth it.

Amazing experience when you arrive at the third waterfall... 1.30 to 2 hours of hiking if you stop at each waterfall to take a photo :) The parking was a paid parking lot with 5 euros per day price but the machine was not working so no one paid! The bar was closed too when we arrived at the parking. But it was a wonderful experience.
Mohsen M — Google review
Relatively easy walk to get to the falls, culminating with a quite spectacular bridge that crosses the water. It's worth closing the path down with the ring path so as to avoid doing the same way twice
Thomas A — Google review
Worth the hike to the third waterfall. Stunning views. Lots of places to stop and rest if needed. Options for looping back down the other side. Loved it
Rachel D — Google review
This trail, that crosses Rutor falls is just wonderful. Really astonishing, impressive and clean nature plus the hike is very easy. It crosses 3 falls and there are plenty options to go such as all the way up to Rifugio Albert Deffeyes. On this route after the amazing falls you will find a beautiful green and moist valley. After that, it goes up another 346 meters and you can have a great view to Mont Blanc and many glaciers and lakes near by. It's a very special hike in Aosta Valley. Absolutely recommended if you search for something technically feasible and a rich, fascinating environment as well.

One of the best footpath that you can do in La Thuile area, starting from la Joux the road is not so difficult, you don't need to be an expert climber but bring with you some water and a raincoat. The water shows is simply amazing especially at the 3rd waterfall. Recommended 👍👍👍
Jan E — Google review
Really amazing. The falls are impressive. The hiking need to be prepared because is not so easy for the length and for the gradient. I suggest to take some water with you because till to the refuge is not possible to found any fountain. Take time to climb till the Deffeys refuge will pay you about the fatigue and the high gradient.

Prima Cascata del Rutor

Scenic spot
Prima Cascata del Rutor is a series of three breathtaking waterfalls that cascade through gorges and cliffs, giving life to the Dora del Rutor. The first waterfall offers a magnificent sight at the end of an enjoyable walk through alpine forests, suitable for families. For those seeking more adventure, there's an option to climb to the bridge of the third waterfall for a more stunning view. The trails are well-maintained, making it accessible to all visitors.
(Translated by Google) First waterfall of the three main ones, very pleasant and quick walk from the car park near the bar. Simple to do even with children, as a family. We saw many people even wearing sandals, many families and in any case it was very fast. (Translated by Google) Stunning. Once you reach the waterfall, before continuing on to the second route, I recommend taking a 5-minute detour to the wooden bridge where you can admire the waterfall from above. The hike from the park (before Jeaux) to the waterfall is about 30 minutes, steep and uphill, but shaded if done early in the morning. (Original) Stupenda. Arrivato alla cascata, prima di proseguire eventualmente per la 2°, consiglio di deviare percorso per 5 min e arrivare al punto in cui c'è il ponte di legno da cui ammirare la cascata dall'alto. With its inviting ambiance and friendly staff, diners can indulge in gourmet dishes that highlight local Savoyard specialties.
My two friends and I returned here three years after our first visit and enjoyed two splendid meals, seated outside in the refreshingly pleasant cool early evening. The food was delicious and we were well served by the personable and professional Paloma.

Very good food! Super friendly and accommodating staff. A great selection of cocktails. I’d definitely recommend the vegetarian pasta dish.

We had a group dinner at Le Boreal on a Friday evening. The place was big and pretty packed. We waited 30 minutes or longer for our food, and we had to line up at the counter to pay. The staff was hard to catch, and they forgot our orders. I am giving only 1 star for Service. The food was edible, definitely not great. If you consider ordering grilled broccoli at 6 euros, think again... the broccoli stems swam in old oil and I couldn't eat not even half of them.
HJLee — Google review
We ordered three beef dishes because we had the long ski trip. But they never asked about how well the meat wants to be. And the meat was so raw and the texture was so hard to chew!!! and the poke bowl was tasteless and the rice was so raw!!!

Absolutely atrocious service. The bearded waiter was very rude and totally disinterested in us. It was busy, but he was simply not interested in providing us service. In fact he served a couple before us who arrived 25mins after us! We ended up walking away and didn't eat there. Based on our experience I would recommend to not come here.

Lo Ratrak is a restaurant and bar conveniently located just 100 meters from the cable car at Les Suches in La Thuile. The establishment offers outside dining and serves top-quality Italian cuisine, with a focus on traditional Aosta Valley dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. In addition to homemade desserts, Lo Ratrak also boasts a fine selection of wines and provides options for vegetarians, vegans, and children.
It's one of the more affordable places to have your lunch on the slopes. We stayed with the sandwiches and they were very good! Very busy but still a short waiting time.
Robert Y — Google review
Outstanding attractive restaurant on the mountain. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The food was excellent from a varied menu with something to please everyone in our group. Brilliant service. I loved my food. Thank you Lo Ratrak!
Marie H — Google review
Great view, very enjoyable Italian food while on the slopes, very unique shape to the chips which gave them a nice crunch.
Russell B — Google review
😎 Very close to the top of the cable car. Beware of skiers coming down as you cross the piste. The bar La Ratrak is superb selling beverages, alcohol, and a nice selection of good food. The bar staff are extremely helpful. There are tables and benches on a balcony outside, to enjoy the views. Do wear sunscreen as the sun is very strong and you could end up with a very red face. 😎

We had really nice break from bad weather ski in the restaurant and it was great. Very good service. Lots of option for food and drinks. Good coffee. Even for me as a vegan traveling in Italy they had some options. They also have kids menu.

Maison Carrel is a refurbished traditional chalet located on the lower slopes of Gran Testa in La Thuile. It offers a warm welcome and serves honest local dishes in a friendly and unpretentious atmosphere. Guests can enjoy typical Valdostani cuisine served with care by attentive staff. The restaurant is accessible by skiing or, for the more adventurous, by walking through the snow. Visitors praise the great food and consider it a perfect place to dine while enjoying a day of skiing.
Great cafe, cheaper than gondola cafes and has great outdoor seating area, does great Bombadinod...you can get to it either from Argilliens lift or from going past the Chaz Dura Express on the left.

Wonderful food, interesting wine, a little difficult to find and I can't say the interior is anything too great, but a must-go place for a lunch stop. Charcuterie plate is well presented, priced and extensive. Pastas are similarly well priced with some unique mountain options and of course is made fresh, no dried stuff here. We were lucky to slip into a 2 person table before the reservation arrived an hour afterwards and all tables were booked for lunch so I highly recommend dropping by either in the morning or the day before to secure your table.
