Haria in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Haria, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Haría, set in Lanzarote’s lush “Valley of a Thousand Palms,” offers a striking contrast to the island’s otherwise arid, volcanic scenery. The village is known for its whitewashed houses, traditional Canarian architecture and a relaxed, small-town atmosphere far from the main resort areas. Visitors can explore the former home and studio of artist César Manrique, browse the craft market, and use Haría as a base for nearby viewpoints and hiking routes through the island’s northern landscapes.
With favorites like Restaurante Dunas de Famara, El Cortijo Restaurant, and Mirador de El Risco de Famara - Parque El Bosquecillo, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like El Cortijo Restaurant and Restaurante El Risco so you can get the best taste of Haria while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Scenic spot
Mirador del Río is a popular viewpoint in the north of Lanzarote, designed by the renowned artist Cesar Manrique. This architectural marvel integrates into the rock and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lanzarote and the nearby island La Graciosa. The site features a cafe with large windows, a souvenir shop, and a viewing platform. Visitors can also enjoy stunning vistas of the dark cliffs descending towards the ocean.
Well out of the way and requires car hire or an organised trip to get here. The views were breathtaking, more so due to height of the cliff on which Mirador del Rio sits. Free parking and 8 Euros per adult to get it was reasonable. The restaurant is lovely and sits perched in the cliff edge behind a huge glass window. Food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely one to see during your time in Lanzarote

Drove to this viewpoint in a rental car and let's just say I was glad it wasn't my own car! The access road is a tad on the ropey side and is more designed for a 4 x 4. Reaching the parking area (assuming there is only the one that we went to), you then need to make a steep climb up a loose rock path to get the best views and I'd recommend wearing walking shoes/boots if you don't want to be sliding/slipping. On a clear day you can get some spectacular pictures though.
Fraser B — Google review
Outstanding views, not for the faint of heart! If you are scared of heights, I would avoid going right up to the barrier! I didn't try the food inside, but it looked good! The cafe area inside was gorgeous but not a huge amount to choose from food wise! The drive was easy and there were plenty of parking.
Andrew P — Google review
The scenic viewpoint offers an impressive panorama of the island and the surrounding waters. From its elevated position, visitors can appreciate the breathtaking views that stretch far into the distance. A lovely cafe is available, providing a convenient spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. While the experience is memorable, the price 8.50 euro to get in . Refreshments is slightly higher than expected. Overall, it is a worthwhile destination for those seeking stunning vistas.
Lee E — Google review
One of the best views I've ever experienced. The steep slope and dramatic contrast of colors between the islands and the ocean are incredible! A must visit if you rent a car!
Ryan — Google review
As with all government facilities, this place was closed due to storm Claudia. We drove to the location to find the car parks closed meaning that we had to park on the side of the main road, as did so many others. The weather was no worse than a blustery day during autumn in the UK, was there a need to close? Personally I think not. Anyway, great views from the scenic drive road regardless.
Graham A — Google review
Outstanding and breathtaking views over the sea and La Graciosa Island. The design by César Manrique is amazing, and incorporates soft round design to reflect nature. You can get a coffee and snack and sit in the restaurant of go outside for the amazing views. You can also go up onto the roof. The entrance fee was €8.50 per adult, which was good value.

Well exploited viewing platform built for the masses! Never paid solely for a viewpoint, let alone euro 8.50. 5 stars for the view thou. Amazing panorama view of Graciosa island.

Discover the captivating Cueva de los Verdes, a natural marvel located in the volcanic terrain of Lanzarote. This underground wonder is part of a route through the unique towns of Punta Mujeres, Haria, and Charco del Palo. The journey includes exploring the majestic Volcano of the Corona and its stunning underground life in the Tunnel of Atlantis leading to Jameos del Agua.
Booked as part of a full day island tour, the caves were amazing and was really nice to see the different rock formations. I highly recommend a visit the venue hall inside is a site to see also.

Been here previously, 18 years prior when our sons were small. Now brought them back. We loved the interesting tour, amazing formations within the lava tube.. a surprise with charm awaits...

If you need to pick between James de Agua y Cueva de los verdes, don't hesitate and go to Cueva de los Verdes! Amazing caves derivates from old lava tunnels. The tour is guided and you learn things along the way. The entrance must be booked online for a specific day and time.

This is a very interesting location to visit, beautifully lit. However, 4 stars instead of 5 because the experience is subpar, which is a pity given how much the site has to offer: - huge group (50 people) for a fairly space-constrained site - guide must run through his program with zero flexibility, meaning you feel like cattle - and no time for questions either - we were very early and could have joined an earlier group that had lots of free spots, but, no, they wouldn't show any flexibility and forced us to wait for our turn, which was a more crowded group... - very little contextualisation as to why these tubes appear We visited similar tubes in Tenerife. The tubes themselves were less impressive, but the experience was night and day: smaller group, the guide gave us lots of explanations about why, had time for questions, made us feel like he was a pro but wasn't doing this for the 1000th time.
Eric T — Google review
Brilliant lava cave site with stunning features that are completely unique to lava formations as it cooled and formed the structures. There arent any facilities here other than the toilets and a vending machine for water bottles so be aware there isn't a cafe or shop. You also have to book your tickets in advance or you won't be able to get in. Admission is in 15 minute alots and you spend about 45-50 minutes in the cave itself. A guide takes you around and guides you through the site with a huge amount of knowledge and history. He delivers the tour in two languages simultaneously. The steps can be a bit tricky to navigate and many areas have incredible low ceilings so not recommended for anyone with mobility or back issues. They even warn you to not have your sunglasses on your head and backpacks made some areas tricky. But wrll worth a visit to see this incredible site.

A 50 minutes guided tour through the lava tunnels. Very impressive and a must see. We had a friendly guide explaining a lot about the volcanic activity on the island. You must book in advance and choose a time slot. Be there on time.

Specialty Museums
Casa Museo de César Manrique is the preserved home and studio of the renowned artist and architect, César Manrique, where he lived until his passing in 1992. Located on the outskirts of Haria, this museum offers a glimpse into the life and work of the influential figure who left a lasting impact on Lanzarote. Visitors can explore his private home as well as his underground masterpiece, Jameos del Agua.
Can I move in please? The house is breathtaking, so gorgeous. Looks like from a movie. Loved the amount of plants in the house, the vibe is just incredible. And the bathrooms… would really recommend to visit. Very special. We spent approx 45 min here. Got the combined ticket for the Manrique foundation for 17 eur. Free street parking, you will probably have to walk a bit to the museum, but many parking options close to the museum.

for those passionate about art and architecture it is a must see. the studio will surely be desired by any artist. the house has a great atmosphere and the garden is wonderful. you appreciate every detail. the bathroom is wow. I bought a combined ticket with the Manrique foundation. parking on the street. it was a wonderful visit
Luciana T — Google review
I recently visited the Casa Museo de César Manrique in Haría, and while I have deep admiration for Manrique’s legacy and his profound impact on Lanzarote’s cultural and architectural identity, I must admit that this visit left me somewhat underwhelmed—especially considering the €10 entrance fee. The intention behind preserving the house exactly as it was at the time of Manrique’s passing is commendable and emotionally powerful. However, I felt the execution lacked care and attention. Many rooms appeared unclean, with visible dust and grime accumulating on surfaces and objects. This state of neglect felt oddly out of step with what one imagines of Manrique’s aesthetic values, which were rooted in harmony, order, and deep respect for his environment. There are undoubtedly fascinating elements—glimpses into his personal life, his studio space, and his distinctive artistic vision—but the overall presentation felt stagnant, and the lack of maintenance significantly distracted from the experience. I would respectfully recommend that the foundation or managing institution consider a more thoughtful curatorial refresh, one that honors Manrique’s legacy through cleanliness, conservation, and care, rather than a static recreation that risks falling into disrepair. For die-hard fans of Manrique, the visit may still hold value. But for the average traveler or those seeking a well-maintained museum experience, it may not live up to expectations.

A must see on your Lanzarote itinerary! Learn about the man who saved and promoted Lanzarote with his vision and drive. An amazing house which includes a number of “ converted” lava bubbles. Partly preserved at its 60’s best and partly now an exhibition of his life and works. “ Get “ Lanzarote culture here!

Scenic spot
Mirador de El Risco de Famara, located in Lanzarote, offers breathtaking views of the coastline and rolling mountains. The viewpoint is camouflaged within the rock of the cliff and provides a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the Chinijo Archipelago. Accessible by car with a short walk from the parking area, it also features hiking trails and opportunities to observe local fauna, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts.
I could greet the sun here, greet the day and wait for the next sunset. Every minute brings a different shade of light in the magic hour. A wonderful view of the beach, village, mountains, volcanoes, especially if you have walked along the beach and visited the village. Water, mountains, volcanoes, sunset, height, all this makes you stand and look and look and finally look up at the sky thinking is this paradise already? Ok so you can get here by car from the main road but the road is let's say poor but passable. There is a parking space at the end so it depends on you. We parked on the main road and from there a faster walk of maybe 11 minutes. I am adding a photo from the plane taken at a different time so you can see this part of the island and the viewpoint. Look well and you will find! We recommend!

Mirador de El Risco de Famara - Parque El Bosquecillo is a breathtaking spot with stunning views of Famara beach and the Chinijo Archipelago. The scenic drive, though bumpy, is worth it for the panoramic vistas. The area offers a children’s playground and picnic facilities, making it perfect for family outings. Be prepared for strong winds and enjoy the unique volcanic landscapes that Lanzarote is famous for.”
MiL P — Google review
Possibly the best scenic spot in Lanzarote with spectacular views, especially when you walk a little further from the "standard" viewing area. The access road is a little rough with some deep potholes, so you need to drive carefully. We had a Citroen C3 Aircross rental which managed fine and we saw a few Fiat 500's arrive later so definitely accessible in standard cars if you drive carefully. The car park area has enough space for a dozen or more cars and the on-line description mentions picnic seating areas and a kids play park BUT you should be aware that the play park is derelict and unsuitable to play in and the picnic areas are also very run down. Looks like these areas have been forgotten about in terms of maintenance, which is a real shame considering how good a scenic spot this is. From the parking area, it's only a few minutes walk down to a walled viewing area offering those spectacular views I mentioned. Looking to the right from there, you'll see a path that leads to additional (unkempt) picnic benches and progresses towards a distant cliff area. The path meanders a bit so I cut across it and headed for the fenced area you'll see ahead of you. Be aware that this leads to the cliff edges so proceed with caution. The recommended route would be sticking to the path. As you walk further up this way the views open up to an even wider panoramic which is absolutely stunning. Overall a DEFINITE scenic spot to visit, ideally when there are no clouds and clear blue skies.
Fraser B — Google review
It’s definitely worth visit! High from the mountain and look at the beach with waves come in! Also admire how crystal clear the water is! Yes, even from 16000ft high at the mountain you can see it. We drove over through a series of dirt roads and parked our car in a small parking area that’s made of cobblestones. It was so windy in December with low cloud, so bring your jacket!!
James L — Google review
Stunning views with free entry, making it a worthwhile visit. The road leading in is quite rough, especially after rainfall, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Parking just for a few cars.
Marek D — Google review
El Mirador del Risco de Famara offers breathtaking views over Famara beach, La Graciosa, and the Chinijo Archipelago. The road to get there is narrow and super bumpy, but the reward is unforgettable. It’s free to visit, though parking is limited, and it can be very windy so I recommend bringing a jacket.
Michal Š — Google review
To be honest, my favourite place from the whole Lanzarote! Denitely must-see! Those views are breath taking and sunset is beatiful as well. The Mirador de El Risco de Famara is located in the Parque El Bosquecillo on Lanzarote, offering stunning panoramic views of the island’s northern coast, including Famara Beach and the Chinijo Archipelago. How to get there: • By car: From the village of Haría, take the LZ-10 road towards Teguise. The route is narrow and winding, passing through the Malpaso Valley. At the top of the ascent, you’ll find a wooden sign directing you to El Bosquecillo. There is parking available once you arrive. • On foot: You can hike approximately 6 km from Haría, ascending towards El Bosquecillo while enjoying spectacular views along the way. Features of Parque El Bosquecillo: • Facilities: The park has wooden tables, benches, stone barbecues, and playground areas, making it a great spot for a family picnic. • Natural surroundings: The park is surrounded by native vegetation, providing a peaceful environment to enjoy the natural beauty of Lanzarote. Tips: • Weather: The area can be quite windy, especially on days with strong winds. • Safety: Stay away from the cliffs and follow local guidelines to ensure a safe visit. Visiting Mirador de El Risco de Famara and Parque El Bosquecillo offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, breathtaking views, and a relaxing atmosphere, making it a must-see stop on your Lanzarote journey.

Famara, located in Teguise, Lanzarote, is a must-visit for sports enthusiasts. The beach boasts a long stretch of white sand and is famous for its strong winds and large waves, making it a magnet for surfers, kite surfers, and windsurfers. Even if you're not into these sports, the beach offers tranquil rock pools for bathing. Situated within the La Graciosa Marine Reserve, Famara also provides scenic views.
Absolutely gorgeous beach ! Definitely one of the prettiest I’ve ever visited ! It was December so too cold to swim, but a good surf place thanks to the wind! Nice sunsets, you can’t see the end but the colors are beautiful.

A dream beach for a long walk, for surfing, for admiring beautiful mountains in the colors of the sun, for stopping and enjoying the moment, the beauty of the world, nature and life... which is so fragile. Huge waves create an amazing setting. Definitely a place to return.

Surfers and fisherman could be happy in this small village, still some streets without pavement. Also some restaurants where to have something. If you are a lover of good views, this is also a place you will enjoy, the sea and the mountains make a remarkable picture.

Playa de Famara, located on the northwest coast of Lanzarote, is one of the island’s most iconic and breathtaking beaches. Stretching over 6 kilometers, it is renowned for its golden sands, wild natural beauty, and the dramatic backdrop of the Risco de Famara cliffs. Why Visit Playa de Famara? 1. Spectacular Scenery: • The expansive beach is framed by towering cliffs and the vast Atlantic Ocean, creating an awe-inspiring, untamed atmosphere. • At low tide, the wet sand reflects the sky and cliffs, offering stunning photographic opportunities. 2. Surfing Paradise: • Playa de Famara is a top destination for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing, thanks to its consistent waves and winds. • It’s ideal for surfers of all skill levels, with many surf schools in the nearby Caleta de Famara village offering lessons and rentals. 3. Relaxed Atmosphere: • Unlike some of Lanzarote’s busier beaches, Famara has a laid-back, wild feel, making it a favorite for those seeking tranquility. • It’s perfect for long beach walks, sunbathing, or simply soaking up the stunning views. 4. Nature and Wildlife: • The beach is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park, a protected area that preserves its unique ecosystem. • Visitors might spot seabirds, fish in tidal pools, and unique coastal vegetation. 5. Nearby Caleta de Famara: • This charming fishing village provides a cozy base for exploring the beach, with small restaurants, bars, and surf shops. • Enjoy fresh seafood and traditional Canarian dishes in a relaxed setting. Practical Information 1. Location: • Playa de Famara is about 25-30 minutes by car from Arrecife and Costa Teguise. 2. Beach Conditions: • The beach is exposed to strong winds and currents, making it better suited for surfing than casual swimming. Swimmers should exercise caution. • There are no lifeguards, so safety precautions are essential. 3. Facilities: • Playa de Famara is a natural beach with no sunbeds, umbrellas, or beach bars. Visitors should bring their own supplies. • Parking is available near the beach and in Caleta de Famara. 4. Best Time to Visit: • Mornings and evenings are ideal for quiet walks, while the midday brings a more active surfing crowd. • The sunsets here are particularly stunning, with golden light illuminating the cliffs and beach. Tips for Visitors • Sun Protection: Bring sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water, as there is no shade. • Footwear: Wear sturdy sandals or shoes if exploring the dunes or cliffs. • Respect Nature: As part of a protected area, ensure you leave no litter behind. • Enjoy the Wind: Embrace the breezy conditions, which are part of Famara’s unique charm. Playa de Famara is a must-visit for nature lovers, surfers, and anyone looking to experience Lanzarote’s raw and rugged beauty. Its unspoiled landscapes and serene vibe make it a true gem of the Canary Islands.

Great for surfing or just relaxing, as long as you find a space to hide from wind. If you are looking for nice, sandy beach, no rocks, just sun and chill, need to find a different place, as this is more natural, surfer oriented.

It's the best beach for beginners and intermediate surfers in Lanzarote. Always check weather forecast before going and don't dare the currents. Lifeguards have only one station to cover more than 3km wild beach, please be careful 🙏🌊

During a coach trip, I had the opportunity to visit El Cortijo Restaurant, a Spanish eatery. The buffet impressed me with its freshness and tastiness - it was definitely one of the best buffets I have encountered on my numerous holidays. If I were staying nearby, I would certainly make an independent visit. Additionally, the wine served was enjoyable.
Went here for buffet it was great the food was amazing and amazingly cheap for such great food. The staff were realy helpful and friendly. A realy nice place to eat

A buffet restaurant serving mostly bus tours. We arrived around 2:30 PM and it was almost empty. They have a large sitting area outside. The food buffet consisted of chicken legs, meatballs in tomato sauce, fried fish nuggets, potatoes, rice, pasta, salad bar. Food was fresh and tasted well. Price for adult is €16, for kids €10.
Daniel S — Google review
Unfortunately was forced by a coach tour to use this restaurant. At 13 euros per person the buffet was overpriced, should have taken the no lunch option and walked the 3 minutes into the "town" and picked up something there.

We were a big group for lunch. The food was good, the wine was excellent. We did serve ourselves from the buffet. Practical!

Visited as part of a coach trip, herded in like sheep, practically 'ordered' to stand in line, sit here etc! I do understand they have many coach loads going in and out, so that'll be the reason! The food was basic buffet style, with a glass of local wine included. 15 euros, basic choices, salad, rice, potatoes, chicken, sausages, meatballs, etc. It was nicely cooked though. There is nothing else nearby though, so they've a captive audience. Would not have chose this place to eat if I'd not been on a coach trip and starving by mid day! However! It did the job, and apart from the abrupt 'get in line, sit here' etc it was ok
Janet T — Google review
This is a tourist trap. The guided tour brought us here, which sounded convincing, but the experience was very basic. It’s overpriced at 15€. They force you to have the vino tinto even if you don’t want it, and don’t offer any alternative drinks. The staff was extremely rude.
BIDEMI O — Google review
Good choice for a meal while touring and would have got five stars if the waitress had managed a single smile. Menus in several languages and seating for 150 inside and also many tables outside. Mobile reception was also pretty good outside.

We visited for a couple of meals during our visit to Famara last week. The serving team and wonderful, entertaining and welcoming and the food is exceptional. On my second visit I had a baby squid starter that was cooked to perfection and a fish stew main that was so delicious in the most divine broth. My partner loved her meals too and was especially happy with the goats cheese cheesecake. The flavour is wonderful and not too sweet. We’ll be back as soon as we can book another holiday for more great food and great wine.

Honestly, I think this place is overrated, mainly due to the service. The head waiter is not at all pleasant and doesn't seem to care about making your experience enjoyable. They are also very slow to even take your order or bring the menu. The black rice is very ordinary, nothing special. There are definitely better options on the island.
Laia — Google review
Manrique designed the interior of this house for his bro. Blue frame on white wall is marine-oriented and beautiful. The fish of the day is super good for us, well grilled. Fish soup was delicious and seems good for health. Squid was fresh and its sauce was novel but very good.

The food was really good and not too pricey considering the beautiful views of the ocean/ beach from inside the restaurant. We managed to book a table for 5 people the day before so we were lucky as it got really busy as the night went on. We had mussels for starter, an octopus and belly pork stew, fried squid, and fish of the day which was HUGE! Didn't have room for dessert because we were too full! Service was good and we really enjoyed the whole experience of dining here. Well worth the 45mins drive to eat here :)

We have travelled extensively on Lanzarote, over the course of many visits. This is the best restaurant we've found on the island. Not very cheap, but great value for money and a superb location. We will go back again, as soon as we're able... 30.03.2022: So we finally managed to get back to the Island and booked a table at El Risco. This was the firstnpart of the experience and was very professional and easy: online booking now, followed by an email confirmation of the enquiry, then of the booking itself. Apart from the fact that the food was as excellent as last time, what really stood out on this visit was the charm of the waiting staff. I‘m not sure whether we missed them first time around, but there were Manrique works on the walls, adding to the authentic atmosphere. The presentation remains superb and we felt that the price level was no longer high, compred to other places on Lanzarote. All in all, another great experience and we will definitely be back a thrid time.

Designed by the renowned local artist and architect César Manrique, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience within a volcanic cave system. The setting includes a turquoise underground lagoon, lush greenery, and volcanic rock formations, creating an intimate and magical atmosphere. • Cuisine: The menu typically focuses on Canarian and Mediterranean dishes, featuring fresh local ingredients such as seafood, fish, and regional specialties like papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes) with mojo sauce. • Dining Experience: It’s a perfect spot for a romantic dinner, as soft lighting highlights the cave’s natural features. Combine Your Visit: Plan to explore the Jameos del Agua complex, which includes the underground lagoon, auditorium, and a museum dedicated to volcanic activity.

It was a great experience eating in the restaurant above the lagoon. We had the lentejas, garbanzas, padrones and papas arrugadas (so good we ate them before we thought of taking a picture). We finished with a gofio ice crem, which was quite small, but tasted amazing. Overall the food was comforting and way better than expected for such a tourist destination. The service was impeccable: warm, attentive and went a little beyond the standard. Really really good! 10/10

We came here for lunch and it was really nice, the location is very special and the service very professional. The crispy octopus was really good! Even if in the menu it’s a starter, the portion is big enough as a main dish, I highly recommand taking this🥰

Jameos del Agua is so extraordinarily beautiful that the opportunity to sit here for lunch is a great idea! The food is very nice. Highly recommend two unusual starters: a) cheese sticks with carrot smokey jam and b) creamy fish croquetas with banana sauce. The pulled pork was great too! We had a Lanzarotan devil-like👹 cheesecake and it was light and creamy☁️

Amazing experience! I would recommend this to everyone going to Lanzarote. You can have dinner in a cave! This restaurant is only open on Friday evening and you need to book a reservation with your desired menu beforehand. The atmosphere leaves you speechless - well it's a stunning cave, and you can walk around the whole area, which is really nicely designed by César Manrique (if I'm not wrong). The food is sooo good! The service is very smooth. After the dinner you may have a free concert there. A must!

Awesome little place to eat if you're visiting Jameos del Agua. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. You could take this restaurant out of the cave and it would still be fantastic. Highly recommend

Grill - Asador Volcan de La Corona is a renowned restaurant in Lanzarote, located in the village of Ye. It's known for its exceptional grilled meats and delightful signature dishes that offer a burst of flavors. The restaurant provides a wonderful dining experience with attentive and precise service. The menu includes delicious tapas like salad with onion and sauces, fried mushrooms with palm honey, and goat cheese.
Book in advance – it’s worth it! The staff are friendly and helpful, ready to guide you through the menu and suggest what’s best. I had the T-bone steak and it was excellent. If you’re a meat lover, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Grill-Asador Volcan de La Corona may not impress from the outside, resembling an abandoned building, and its interior is simple, with a series of rooms lacking elaborate decorations. However, the food is excellent and satisfying. We ordered two appetisers, two grilled meat dishes, and two desserts. The fried mushrooms were crisp and flavourful, while the grilled goat cheese with sweet tomato sauce was outstanding. The grilled meat was tender and juicy, cooked over wood fire. To finish, we had a Canarian Gofio, which, while not the best we’ve had, was still quite good.

If you like steak or pork this is the place for you. We booked and almost cancelled the booking because we were asked for credit card details to confirm our booking. I would not do this and having chosen a day and a time I decided to close the page down. After a few seconds I got a message asking to confirm the booking and this time there was no request for card details so I confirmed. I don’t think it’s the restaurant I think it’s the booking system. Anyway the booking was confirmed and we turned up at the allotted time. As a previous reviewer mentioned it’s not much to look at from outside but the interior is very interesting, comfortable and spacious. We were welcomed and seated and given the menu. A wide range of steak dishes and pork dishes were on offer as well as some interesting starters. We shared a plate of coconut coated prawns with a mustard and honey sauce. It was absolutely amazing a truly delicious starter. I opted for the Iberian pork tenderloin thinking I’d get some rings of marinated pork like you get in the UK. If you look at the photo you can see how wrong I was. My wife chose the entrecôte steak. Again look at the photo. We both had the most delicious cuts of well prepared, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked meat. My wife beloved it to be one of the best steaks she had ever had. We drank one house white and one house red wine and again they were lovely wines. The only minor fault was that some of the larger chips could have been cooked for a little longer but this was not much of a problem. We could not find space for a dessert but the ones we saw on their way to other tables looked very tempting. We finished the meal with a coffee which rounded off the experience perfectly. The place seemed very popular with a couple of families and couples. At €77 for the final bill( tips had to be paid in cash and the staff certainly deserved them) I think it was very good value for such excellent food and drink.

We really like here. From outside you can smell charcoal. Price is around 2/3 of the restaurants from the south I think. It is easy to combine with the visit to Mirador del Rio

I think this was one of the best veal T-bone stakes in my life, managed to eat 1kg portion (3 veal steaks). Medium rare, the meat was very soft and grilled perfectly, amazing quality of the meat.

Top location if you want to eat marvelous meat. We loved the steak Tatar and all the different cuts of meat. We were a party of four and had the solomio from beef and pork and than shared a real nice meat that we choose from the fridge(which is also worth having a look at). Really amazing! Many locals are coming here... I just read in another review that the location is a bid far away - but that is just a question of planning... you pass by on the way back from Miador or we just combined it on the way back from la graciosa.. so don't miss this asador!!!

Increible quality and quantity for a reasonable price! We had the ribs & the angus and we left extremely happy and full. We ended up the lunch with a great Barraquito! We had to pre book for going!
David O — Google review
Wonderful eating experience. Good the tapas, like the salad with onion and sauces, or the fried mushrooms with palm honey, or the goat cheese. But the explosion of wonder comesnwith the main course: Secreto Iberico and Solomillo Iberico! Both grilled to perfection (3/4), plenty of taste, tenderness, and crunchy fat grilled. Service precise and attentive. It is better to have a reservation, just not to miss the chance to eat here.

Designed simply inside, but the view is amazing. If you don’t visit the restaurant, it’s €1 to get to the viewpoint terrace, if you do, you just leave through another terrace door and watch for free. Honest simple food done well in a fantastic location and excellent views. More descriptive menus would be appreciated, for example a little explanation of what your meal comes with. For example I had some excellent Canarian potatoes to start, but then more came with the main. My partners main came with fries - no complaints about the food though at all. Highly recommend.

We went to the restaurant at this mini indoor market. It was very busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. This was communicated immediately so it wasn't an unpleasant surprise. I assume it was crowded due to the local market (Saturday) which attracts a lot of people. We had garlic soup with ham and a goat stew/soup. The garlic soup was Ok, but not really our taste. The goat stew was delicious. The goat stew mentioned also something about chickpeas. The staff tried to explain it even by showing, but I didn't understand if it would be an option or a chickpeas stew. Although it was busy the staff was very friendly and patient. We were able to eat in a relaxing way. The value is very good. The portions are quite big. The soup and the stew was enough for 2 persons. Highly recommended.

Food was solid, nothing amazing but does the job. The cakes are worth a try. Pretty sure the staff are not a fan of tourists and they do not make you feel all too welcome. Nestled beneath the majestic cliffs and overlooking the breathtaking Playa de Famara, Restaurante Dunas de Famara offers a delightful culinary experience that beautifully marries local flavors with global influences. Drawing inspiration from the diverse cuisines of Galicia, East Asia, and Peru, this modern eatery showcases fresh seafood as its star ingredient. The menu features enticing dishes like bao buns filled with black pig bacon and hoisin sauce, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality local produce while exploring international tastes.
Such good food, so worth the price. It’s completely fresh and locally caught or grown. Loved my fish of the day, the skin was sweet and the meat was so tender it melted in my mouth. My partner tried the goat roll for the first time and loved it. The service was great, always checking in and having a good chat. Definitely worth every penny.

It’s actually impressice how slow the service is! The food was good, although the diversity of dishes not so much. The view of the sea is really really nice, especially for lunch. The worst part by far is the service: it’s so slow and confusing. It took me 1h50mins on a single visit while I knew what I wanted to order, as was forced to come here multiple times due to its location. First you get seated by one waiter. Then they ask you to wait for another waited to bring you water and ask for drinks. This took 10-15 minutes. Then once you get your drinks you ask to order food.. as you guessed it: there is another waiter that takes food orders! So you wait another 15 minutes hoping for a new waiter to show up. And so on, a neverending chaos. Been here 3 times and it was always like this. As for food, can highly recommend the black rice. A bit on the saltier side, but overall quite good.
Adrian Z — Google review
We had mixed feelings about Dunas de Famara in Lanzarote. The appetizers and most of the dishes were good, but the fish platter was a big disappointment — poorly presented, lacking any sauce or garnish, and ultimately inedible. To their credit, they didn’t charge us for it, but they did charge us twice for the water. The service was very slow, and the place seems confusingly branded — we were looking for “El Risco,” but it doesn’t actually exist, just a sign with the name. Overall, not the experience we were hoping for.

Our first night in Famara we didn’t want to venture too far so we ended up here and I’m so happy we did! We started with the croquettas, fish and meat, which were both yummy! For our mains we had the two different cuts of beef. My partner got a stone to further cook his, which is not his favorite thing but it was delicious nonetheless. Mine really hit the spot. We had ordered a bottle of wine and when they were sold out of it, we were recommended a different red wine from the El Griffo vineyard which was absolutely delicious with our meal. All of the staff was super great, from the host to the waiters. As we didn’t make a reservation and came quite late, we were seated inside, which was still nice, however the car park is just outside and every time a car came or left my partner was blinded by the light. Apart from that, we had a great evening, with delicious food!

The waiters are friendly, but we waited for at least 30minutes in the wind with no food on our table, and there weren’t that many customers even. The food was okay, definitely not Michelin standard though. If you go in the evening, bring a jacket because it’s windy and they don’t have blankets
