Public beach
This is a beautiful spot that has ample space on its beach, including a tidal lagoon on the estuary. What makes it interesting is that it's a rather flat area in the middle of a regged mountainous area.

A nice beach, visited in November so it was windy and of course the water was cool and rough. There is a park nearby, with beautiful views.
Christiaan U — Google review
Great beach and nice views! I met this cute and friendly girl there and we had a very nice time :) She kept asking me to join her gang the "Spina di Rosula" or something? I don't know what its about but she was talking about investigations and the Gardes? Intense stuff. Regardless it was a fun time and I'd be going out with my new friend again next weekend, I can't wait! :3

Lovely little Park with pine forest and lakes on the mount of the river. There's a good promenade walk back along the river into town or you can walk along the cliffs overlooking the sea. We saw a nice spoonbill.

Beautiful place, you can park in the trees for shade, and there are 3 bars close to the beach, also a long walk next to the estuary, easy walk into the town with shops and restaurants.

City park
Zona Verde "Vega de Arenas" is a beautiful park located on the outskirts of town, dedicated to the local poet and politician Don Ramon de Campoamor. It's an ideal place for families with children, offering accessible parking, water, showers, and shade right next to the beach. The park provides a lovely setting for outdoor activities and relaxation.

(Translated by Google) It's not that bad, but it's only worth it if you come to try this beach or the viewpoint itself. It's a large esplanade with a few trees and a few other structures. The area itself is beautiful, but there's not much to do. I don't see the point of coming here on purpose, but I still didn't dislike the experience. Beach
Playa de Coedo is a charming little beach that offers a serene family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for those looking to unwind. To reach this hidden gem, visitors must navigate a steep 150-meter slope, but the effort is well worth it. The swimming area boasts pleasantly warm waters; however, it's advisable to stay close to shore due to potential currents further out. This secluded spot features informative signs about safety and local conditions, adding an educational touch to your visit.

Playa de Fabal

Beach
Nestled along the stunning Costa Naviega, Playa de Fabal is a hidden gem that promises an escape from the hustle and bustle of crowded beaches. This small, tranquil cove is not easily accessible, which adds to its charm and ensures it remains uncrowded. To reach this paradise, visitors should park as directed by Google Maps and follow a narrow path that leads down steep stone stairs surrounded by lush vegetation. It's essential to be in good shape for this descent!
(Translated by Google) Paradise on earth, what you imagine when you dream of a paradisiacal beach where you can spend the rest of your life 😃. To get there you have to park where the Google Maps route indicates, follow the path that goes to the right at the first intersection and you will reach the descent of the cliff, it is important to be in good shape to go down, the stone stairs are small and The route is narrow and with a lot of vegetation on the sides. It is not advisable to go down with small children, it is dangerous. Once you go down you will find a large beach that is probably empty or at most with a couple of people. It is easy to enter the sea, there is a lot of sand and the rocks create easy-to-follow corridors to swim in, the rocks do not puncture. As indicated on the sign before going down, the beach does not have a lifeguard or anything similar, but it does have many little crabs among its rocks ❤️ (Original) Paraíso en la tierra, lo que te imaginas cuando sueñas en una playa paradisiaca donde pasar el resto de tu vida 😃.

We only had a few drinks and noticed that the place was a bit small inside but had a huge outdoor terrace, which was pretty nice. The staff was acceptable, not bad. I can't comment on the food since we didn't eat anything, but I understand from what they told us that they have a certain variety available, such as pizzas 🍕, burgers, and the like. The location isn't bad, as it's relatively close to Navia beach 🏖️ and they have a huge parking lot 🅿️ which allows you to park without any problem most of the time. If you're in the mood for a drink, this isn't a bad option. Generally speaking, there are no bad dishes, but when you try to evaluate the best, it's difficult because there's nothing that really surprises you. In terms of taste, everything is very flat. It seems that in some dishes, only the presentation stands out, without surprising you with the flavor. However, the presentation was exquisite. In addition, some dishes should have put more care or attention to detail. For example, the fish dishes didn't seem very well-prepared, at least not to the extent required in a Michelin-starred restaurant. We found bones in the sea bass dish, and the beef had the same shell. If I had to highlight one, I'd say: - Hearts of lettuce. - Apple dessert in different textures: bland, but I liked it. Regarding the restaurant itself, it's a spectacular place, with sea views and in a completely natural setting. The service was good, nothing more. We would have appreciated a slower course of action from the waiter, and especially a quick sweep of the crumbs from the tablecloth throughout the meal (not just before dessert), as this gave the impression of dirt. We had to do this ourselves. In the end, we paid €138 per person and left feeling somewhat disappointed.

(Translated by Google) Spectacular!! We had a wonderful meal, everything was delicious, highly recommended, high-quality homemade food, very tasty, just like grandma's, and very good portions. The weekend menu is €20, with a starter, main course, dessert, and wine, and homemade food and water. There were five of us, and we ordered the verdinas a la marinera (green beans) and seafood soup (very tasty and thick broth) for starter; the main course was cachopos, braised beef and beef cheeks (it melted in your mouth); and for dessert, cottage cheese and rice pudding. We'll definitely return if we're in the area again. We went around 1 p.m. and there was space, but it quickly filled up. I recommend booking to make sure. (Original) Espectacular!!

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Senda Costa Naviega, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to C. la Atalaya. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Hiking Trails
Senda Costa Naviega, also known as the Navia Coastal Path, is a lesser-known gem in the network of Coastal Paths of the Principality of Asturias. This trail offers a glimpse of the rugged coastline and hidden maritime treasures along the Cantabrian coast of western Asturias. The route features wild beaches, dramatic cliffs, and ancient forts, making it a picturesque journey for hikers. While relatively easy, it spans about 15 kilometers and requires some walking endurance.
(Translated by Google) I only did part of it, within the stretch of the Camino del Norte that day, for which I had to deviate, although it was worth it. Wild beaches with no one or almost no one early in the morning, until ending in the beautiful Navia estuary. If one doesn't convince you, don't worry, there are more. The coast is not very rugged but you do have to have a certain habit of walking because of the decibels that continue for about 15 kilometers, if you want to make it complete. In hot weather, bring water and some nuts. An umbrella won't hurt...

The Navia Coastal Path, despite being the oldest of all those that are part of the network of “Coastal Paths of the Principality of Asturias” (the crossing was created in 1988), is without a doubt the most unknown. To enter it is to come face to face with a torn coastline and a maritime treasure yet to be discovered: the Cantabrian coast of western Asturias. Playa de Barayo O de la Veiga is an unspoiled coastal area with fine gray sand, surrounded by lush foliage-covered rocks and offering serene ocean views. The beach is accessible only after a walk through wild vegetation and eucalyptus trees, creating a sense of adventure and seclusion. The pristine valley where the river meets the sea forms a majestic arc of sand, providing a tranquil setting for visitors to enjoy the calm waters and breathtaking natural beauty.
Amazing beach, but it takes maybe 20min to 30min to get to the beach from the parking lot on top. There next to it there are also showers because downstairs at the beach are none. Just fantastic nature, with sand dunes and, long shallow beach, and some massive caves too. And the walk towards it is full of wild vegetation and eucalyptus trees. Actually on top at the parking lot there is even a small food truck. We went with our dog and she loved it, first time she finally went into the 🌊 sea

Nestled in a picturesque location, it boasts an impressive array of gluten-free options, including fried calamari and octopus, along with gluten-free bread. The friendly service adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind and enjoy Spanish drinks. While some experiences may vary—like missing ingredients in certain dishes—the overall vibe remains inviting.
Great service and fresh seafood! Go there if you want authentic family style dining.

We sat at a table waiting to be served, the servers didn't attempt to take our order - instead they just gave us funny looks. After 30 minutes we had enough waiting and went to a restaurant nextdoor.

Uncomplicated but delicious local food and a selection of Spanish drinks. The bar has an amazing variety of gluten-free options! Even fried calamari and octopus! GF bread available, too. Very friendly service. Recommended.

(Translated by Google) I've been there before, and the quality remains excellent. The gluten-free croquettes are delicious, the steamed mussels are fresh and cooked to perfection, and the octopus is tender and flavorful. A place I always want to return to.

(Translated by Google) We went without a reservation on a busy day. They made room for us inside and adapted all the gluten-free food, including fried squid and fried cod, all very good. We washed it all down with a few good bottles of cider. A very pleasant place with typical nautical decor, and the terrace is also very well located. It took a while to serve, but they were also very busy.

(Translated by Google) They have gluten-free food, so there are options and there's no cross-contamination, as the waiter assured us when he explained how they made it. And the people who were celiac were able to confirm this too. ☺️ If you have any questions, they'll answer them.

(Translated by Google) We came here by chance, we won't lie. But what a blessed chance. We loved the food! The steamed mussels were delicious, the scallops were ummm... Calamari... The portion of potatoes... Not a single complaint! The desserts were also delicious! Thank you for the attentive staff, their care and friendliness, very friendly even though we were tongue-tied and in a hurry!! Thank you for everything!

Fantastic mix of Indian/Thai/Malaysian/Indonesian and South American food. Would definitely recommend and will be returning again. Front of house staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Food quality depends on what you order. Sopa de fideos is made with avecrem powder. Nothing interesting. Waiter could be rude..
Daniel R — Google review
Can not comment on the food since we made a reservation, which got confirmed by the booking system, but got cancelled last-minute.
Hidde G — Google review
Do not make plans to visit this restaurant. Despite arranging a booking months in advance, they will call you to cancel it because of "problems with the website." Not honest, not professional and not trustworthy. Pity.

We stayed during the weekend at the hotel and had an amazing culinary experience one night. The Chef went to our table to explain some of the dishes. My favorite was the rottin, the ray and the desserts where delicious 😋

What a wonderful meal. It was a pleasure to find asian themed food of such quality and imagination. Whilst it is not a cheap meal, in my opinion it was worth every cent and we will definitely return in summer when the menu changes.

(Translated by Google) I started my vacation in Asturias, and we had booked this restaurant some time ago. We chose the Diego menu for my partner and I, as we tend to enjoy a few pots beforehand, which was very satisfying. A menu with very intense and savory flavors. Flavors I'm not used to, but which I found delicious and exquisitely prepared. The service was spectacular from the start. I'll definitely return with the gang and stay overnight.
