Park
Balsam Lake Provincial Park is a forested recreational destination that offers a variety of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy camping, boating, fishing, and hiking in this stunning natural area. The park features several trails such as the Lookout Trail and Plantation Trail, providing opportunities to explore the rich natural history and breathtaking views. For those seeking adventure, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, and boating along the Trent-Severn Waterway are available.
My fiancé and I had an amazing weekend at Balsam lake. It was a relaxing and beautiful stay. There are nice trails along the waterfront, the water is so clean and nice to swim in and the beach was very welcoming and well taken care of. Lots of park stores around if you’re in need for snacks or essentials. The campsite was very spacious and quiet, and our little dog loved every minute of being there with us. I’d definitely come back again!
Austin W — Google review
We recently visited Balsam Lake, and while the natural beauty of the area was still enjoyable, our experience was a bit limited due to seasonal closures. Unfortunately, the canoe and kayak rentals were already closed for the season, which was disappointing as we had really looked forward to spending some time on the water. Additionally, most of the hiking trails were closed, so we weren’t able to explore the park as much as we had hoped. That said, the campground itself was well-maintained, and we appreciated the peaceful setting. The volleyball court provided a fun way to stay active and pass the time, and we made the most of our trip by enjoying campfires, stargazing, and relaxing with friends and family. If you’re planning to visit, I’d definitely recommend checking ahead for seasonal availability of activities. Balsam Lake has great potential, and I imagine it’s a fantastic destination during the peak season when everything is open. We’ll likely return during the summer months to take full advantage of everything the park has to offer. For this visit, though, we were a bit limited in terms of outdoor adventure. Still, a quiet weekend at the campground wasn’t a bad way to unwind.
Suraj R — Google review
Balsam Lake Provincial Park offers a truly wonderful outdoor experience. The lake water was exceptionally clean and inviting, perfect for swimming and enjoying a peaceful day. The overall environment was calm and friendly, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities. Both the beach area and the campsites were well-maintained and spotless. However, I was disappointed with the state of the washrooms, which were quite dirty and could have been much cleaner. This is one area that definitely needs improvement. Despite the issue with the washrooms, I'll definitely be visiting this park again. A key tip for anyone planning a trip: if you want to secure a campsite, be sure to book 5 or 6 months in advance, as spots fill up very quickly. This park is a gem, and with a little more attention to the washrooms, it would be perfect.
Amin A — Google review
Great spot! Well maintained, easy to navigate. Some secluded spots or plenty of wide open sites. The comfort station was well maintained. Lake is nice, solid beach with sand for the kiddies. Parks and open fields to play in. Rentals are available to canoes and such.
Konrad S — Google review
Balsam Lake is one of the best camping spots within a couple of hours from the GTA. The campground is clean and well maintained, with spacious sites and plenty of trees for shade and privacy. The beach is beautiful — shallow, sandy, and perfect for kids. The water is clean and calm, ideal for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. There are also several hiking trails, canoe rentals, and lots of wildlife around. If you’re looking for a peaceful nature escape with great lake views, a nice beach, and solid facilities, this park is highly recommended.
Amir K — Google review
Great park for family camping with all camping amenities. Nice beach with lots of picnic benches. Nice children's playground. There are also hiking/walking trails with a lookout.
Kiran P — Google review
I really enjoyed this park. Our first time here won't be our last. I like the fact that it's close to the city so it's perfect for weekend camping. Well worth the visit actually a must .

Great Campground, love coming out this way. Sites are huge, the grounds are well kept, the beach is very nice and the water is clear. If you luck out you can see the "norrhen lights"

Trent Severn Waterway, Lock 36 - Kirkfield Lift Lock is part of a series of famous locks along the waterway. Visitors driving through Kirkfield can witness the impressive operation of the locks and explore the property with self-guided tours and informative boards. The site offers ample parking, including space for buses and trailers, and a picnic area for travelers to enjoy.
This is a fun spot to stop for a break. The hydraulic lock system is very unique and fun for all ages watching the boats get lifted and lowered at the same time. There are nice washrooms available and picnic tables.
Paul V — Google review
If you're driving through Kirkfield, via land, this is a great place to stop to see the locks in action. We were very impressed by how quickly the locks raise and lower the boats. There is a small self-guided tour on the property, with some interesting facts on information boards. There is a large parking lot, big enough for buses to park and trucks with trailers. Upon arrival there is a kiosk that asks you to pay $2 upon exit. This is a great place to stop and have a picnic on your journey. There is a small picnic area beside the locks that is wheelchair accessible, as well there are wheelchair accessible bathrooms.

Gorgeous in the early morning light. Lots of free parking. Good viewing area.

Really impressive structure and seeing the locks operate was a big hit with the kids. Lots of cool explanations and illustrations of how the locks work and you can see the awesome mechanisms from all sides. Really something else to see it.

Very cool to visit during lock hours to see what amount to giant water elevators taking boats down and up the Trent-Severn. There is a nice picnic area and free parking. Just make sure you check the seasonal lock operating hours on the Parks Canada Trent-Severn Waterway site so you can see it working.

Fenelon Falls A small town with very nice lakeside park . The Fenelon Falls connects the Cameron lake with Sturgeon Lake. It has the lock # 34 for small ships and boats to commute between the upper and lower lakes. Most of the local businesses are in a minute walk from the Falls, there are plenty of free parking close to the Falls. In summer the water gets warm and makes it perfect for swimming. Barbecue is allowed in the park. Rental bike station is available by the lock, and few restaurants close to the Falls. Important note: the Falls and the lock are separated by county Rd 121 , so if you have kids or elders with you , please be careful when crossing the street, you will find it quiet different than our cities, almost no crossings signs for pedestrians !!!!!! Fenelon Falls to my youngest child is like Niagara , and he calls it, “baby Niagara “:):):):)

The village also hosts educational programs and summer camps for children, as well as seasonal events such as harvest festivals and haunted experiences.
We recently visited here specifically for a night paranormal investigation. We really enjoyed it. The guides were fantastic. Got to learn about history and some of the paranormal happenings within the village. The village was clean and felt very welcoming. Parking on site too.

We were so fortunate to host our son's wedding at the village. Wendy is truly the kindest person and so accommodating. She helped make the day a fairy tale. She was incredibly helpful in guiding us in terms of permits we needed, suggestions and answered all my many many questions. She allowed us to decorate the village and was on hand the day of to help handle any issues that arose - which there were none. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this beautiful location for any important celebration. Thank you Wendy for helping us create magical memories my son, daughter-in-law and and our friends and family will remember

Attended the Craft Beer and Food Festival. Already looking forward to next year. So many great local vendors - tried some new food spots. Friendly event staff and so many beer/cider choices. $2 drink tokens were great!

It was an enlightening experience. We had the privilege of going when the blacksmith was working. Got to learn about some amazing metalworking and an upcoming Christmas ornament project! I find the entire village is very knowledgeable while maintaining the true history. I've been coming here since I was little and I'll be sure to visit again when I can!

Nestled in the charming town of Bobcaygeon, Kawartha Dairy is a beloved ice cream haven that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This cozy outpost offers an impressive selection of over 45 flavors, ranging from classic favorites to innovative creations. Whether you're craving something traditional or adventurous like Rum Raisin, each scoop promises a delightful experience.
The ice cream here is truly outstanding, featuring an incredible variety of flavors that exceeded my expectations. I sampled the mocha almond fudge and can confidently say it’s the best flavor I’ve ever tasted—velvety smooth with rich coffee notes and crunchy almond pieces. I also enjoyed death by chocolate, bubble gum, mango, and classic vanilla, each offering vibrant taste and perfect creaminess. Although they offer multiple sizes and convenient pre‑packaged options, the mocha almond fudge is exclusively available fresh, ensuring the highest quality and flavor intensity.
Yash C — Google review
If you’re in the Bobcaygeon area, don’t miss this ice cream spot! The selection is amazing, with so many delicious flavours to choose from. The employees are super friendly and patient. We asked tons of questions about flavours and sizes before ordering, and they were polite and professional the entire time. Great service and even better ice cream! Prices are also very reasonable considering the scoops are HUGE!
Z K — Google review
We had a very DISAPPOINTING experience here. The ice cream sizes were labeled as baby, small, and huge, but there was no clear information about how many scoops each size included. We ordered two flavors without knowing the portion sizes. When I asked, “Is this the huge size?” they said no, so I said we wanted the huge one instead. They added just one extra scoop, but instead of charging only $1 more, they charged us $6 more per person. In the end, we paid $27 for what should have cost around $15. It felt like a complete rip-off. We realized it too late, but we definitely won’t be coming back. TERRIBLE VALUE for money and POOR COMMUNICATION.
Rukiye Ç — Google review
So if you are a fan of The Tragically Hip, you should travel to Bobcaygeon, go to the Kawartha Dairy and order their new flavour 'Constellations' while listening to Bobcaygeon on full volume. I can't think of a more summer core memory for myself that takes me back to my best childhood memories. Be sure to grab some of their butter to take home also🧈 it is the best.
Mel C — Google review
This was a planned visit as we drove to see the Fall colours ending at this location for a delicious sweet treat! Come prepared for a deliciously large helping of yummy flavors. Even the 'baby' size was huge! The team was so helpful, friendly and patient for an undecided lot. Tastings available prior to order placement.
Rathika J — Google review
Where it all started, this is the original store with the factory right behind it; those neighbours are so lucky! They've got a store and a line up for fresh scoops. Be prepared though, the small is equivalent to a medium or large anywhere else; portions are huge! This is the spot that carries all the flavours and offer tasting in case you can't decide on which of the 30+ flavours you would like lol. When in doubt, get the constellation!
Ramy S — Google review
Fresh, delicious ice cream. Good price for the large portions they give out. It’s not a trip to kawartha lakes without a visit to kawartha dairy.

This place is awesome. The popcorn is the best ever, hamburger, fries and nachos were all a huge hit. Prices are so reasonable and the owner / staff are fantastic. Definitely would visit again!
Kevin B — Google review
Came about 10 minutes after the movie started and there was nobody at the box office. Tried to come back in time for the second movie of the evening, but again, nobody was around. The website doesn’t even have a phone number to contact anyone. A simple sign saying “No more entry” would have helped. The only one there said “Please wait for attendant.” It would also be nice if the FAQ mentioned the latest entry time.

We had a great date night/ “family outing” here last night! Easy to get to, great views and sound quality was awesome! They are dog friendly so we were able to bring the “kids” with us, and staff was super friendly. We will definitely be back soon! Be prepared with bug spray if you’re going to out of your vehicle though, but they do sell bug spray at the counter which I thought was a great idea! The staff even helped us with our vehicle when we couldn’t get the lights to turn fully off. (Hint - it was the parking break lol!)

I love taking my kids to this drive-in. The atmosphere is fun and family oriented. The Manager Ryan is very friendly and ensures you have a great experience. I recommend you go through the week to avoid lineups and get the best spots to view the latest movies!

My son and daughter planned a family night to celebrate birthdays for my youngest grandson and myself. How unique! We had a great time, Ryan (manager and son of owners) checked us in and was so pleasant, cracking jokes and seemingly loving his job. He really created a warm and fun introduction to Lindsay Drive-in. We'll be back!
Marilyn T — Google review
My boyfriend and I went to the drive in tonight. Experience was fine until we wanted to leave. My boyfriend spent minimum 30 minutes banging on doors and driving around this place to find a worker! Turns out they were all hanging out/sleeping upstairs. We rented a portable FM speaker from them that was $10 with a $50 deposit (which he obviously wanted back) Someone finally noticed and came down stairs to let him inside he said “he didn’t realize someone had one rented” okayyyy? In my opinion the concession stand should be open the whole night, it doesn’t really make sense for it to be closed. At the very least they should have it open in between movies. While we were searching for a worker we went to the entrance and saw no employees, only a line up of cars trying to get in to watch the second movie😅 There is no phone number to call just an email which probably would’ve taken days to get a response If there was better management this wouldn’t be a 1 star place🙁

Murphy's Lockside Pub & Patio is an Irish-themed pub in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario that welcomes dogs on its outdoor deck overlooking the Fenelon River. With positive reviews drawing attention to its delicious food and especially the impressive brownie dessert, this casual waterfront restaurant is a popular choice for those seeking a cold beer and tasty meal. While there may be some wait times, patrons understand why given the excellent quality of dishes like fish and chips.
The ambiance feels local and homey—just the kind of place you’d want to find after a long drive. The curry fries were a standout, and the rest of the food hit the spot—simple, tasty, and comforting. All in all, it’s the kind of place we’d happily come back to if we’re ever in the area again.

The food was filling, and I ordered the butter chicken with naan and coffee for my drink. The waitress was really sweet and quick with service! We sat on the patio, which had a great view of the waterfront. It was a nice meal after a long drive!

August 1, 2025 “ WE”dined in at Murphy’s Lockside Pub & Patio in Fenelon Falls, and overall, my experience was quite good. The food was delicious, and the location is just a short walk from the falls, which adds to its charm. However, I did have an issue with the hostess. Despite there being available patio tables, we were seated inside because she said those tables were reserved. It was disappointing to see that the table remained empty throughout our meal, which made me feel somewhat discriminated against. On a positive note, I want to give a shout-out to our server, Kate. She was amazing—attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience much more enjoyable. Overall, I would recommend Murphy's for the food and service, but I hope they can improve their seating policy.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here on Sunday September 14/25 on a beautiful summer evening and it was not busy. We ate out on the patio looking over the lock, I want to send a shout out to our server Rose, Rose had a wonderful personality, great communication skills, spectacular smile, and extremely friendly…She was very patient with us because it’s the first time we have dined in at Murphy’s and she made us feel at home although we didn’t know what to order lol… Whoever your chef is is over the top and needs to be recognized for his unbelievable culinary skills, the beet salad and chicken sandwich was over the top, full of flavor, perfect texture and ginormous portions… Thank you so much for making our dining experience a lasting one 😊👍🏼

We were in Fenelon Falls on a VERY hot day and we decided to stop in for lunch and we were not disappointed. We opted to stay inside, which was the right thing to do given the temperature. Lots of families, which is always a good sign but the service was quick, friendly, Gavin, who helped us out, was wonderful and took great care of us. The service was fantastic, the place was clean (so were the bathrooms) and the overall ambiance was so chill. We loved it there. They had great local beers on tap and there were lots of vegetarian options for my wife. Overall, great experience. They deserve 4.5 out of 5. Really great place that we would go back to in a heartbeat.

Great food, lovely patio that’s dog friendly (they brought out a water bowl for our dog!) We got the baked pretzel, the chicken sandwich, Ceasar salad and fried and everything was delicious. The soft pretzel is 10/10!!

Staff was friendly. Food was decent. I’d visit again to try some other menu items for sure. We were a table of 5. Friends ordered the salad (pictured) and it was a nice shareable size for us all to sample some. Also got the cabbage & corn beef egg rolls. Was ok and different as I’d expected. Fun twist that’s for sure. My friends who had dined here before love the curry fries. I don’t get the hype, but everyone’s tastes are different. There was some confusion and cross shouts between servers in the restaurant about some fish item being sold out and halibut being replaced (or not?) but it didn’t seem immediately consistent amongst them. I felt bad because one of my companions was here on vacation from the UK and was going to order the dish but it was a bit chaotic to figure out what was accurate. For most of our dining time there was a huge food truck delivery blocking the “view” of the locks etc. And while I get it, we can’t control the configuration of the streets and perhaps the timing of a 3rd party companies service, it was a bit disappointing on a busy bright early Sunday afternoon. I wouldn’t grade lower in 🌟 for this, just an observation or suggestion in case there is an opportunity to have alternate scenarios such as parking the transport a bit further down the road or scheduling deliveries during off peak times. I drove by again a few days later after dark and saw the lit up Fenelon Falls marquis type sign across the street that was giving fun Vegas vibes. Worth checking out!

We came during the Fenelon Falls Arts Festival as a participating artist, but man were we in for a real treat with this spot. We love it so much we decided to go again the second night of our stay. It's kitchen sorcery that set itself above all the dining experiences we had in our travels across Southern Ontario this summer from art show to art show. Wow. We had the chicken rigatoni and the goat cheese and bacon jam burger the first night, both stunned but that burger was a cut above. Today, we had the chicken sandwich and feature burger. We highly recommend to the intrepid explorers of Fenelon Falls. 10/10 would eat again

My sister and I stayed in the Bobcaygeon area from September 8th-11th, 2025. When we first arrived, there was an unfortunate mix-up with our accommodations at a nearby cottage. We found ourselves with nowhere to stay on the night of September 8th. We went into town and had dinner at the Bobcaygeon Inn, as we tried to figure out what else we could book for the night. We told our waitress, Shannon, about our dilemma. Shannon went out of her way to find us a room at the Inn, even delivering the key to our table. She was so concerned and helpful. Our room was clean and quaint in the best possible way, with a beautiful view of the water. All the staff at the Inn, including the owner, couldn’t have been kinder. Luckily, our accommodations were sorted out by the next day and we received a refund for the first night at the cottage. But I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Inn again. Lovely, considerate people, especially Shannon.

I have stayed here several times. This time we were in a beautiful room overlooking the river, the bathroom was huge and a gorgeous shower. The patio is always fun. I love sitting by the water having lunch in the summer! The only thing that I could say needs improving is The image of it as a hotel. There is no clear entrance and where it says office there is a lot of garbage inside and barking dogs. It would help a lot if somebody would pay attention to the landscaping as well. Otherwise I love this place!

Went to the RM for lunch and we had a great time. The atmosphere right on the water with lots to look at was great. Our service was also great, no complaints. The food was great, my wife had the fish tacos and I had the hot wings. Both were cooked really well and tasting great. We had a few drinks and with the mealThe price was reasonable at $110 tip included. Lastly the front entrance and bar staff were both friendly and inviting. We will be back soon.

The room was big with a view of the water, the mattress was comfy, sheets & towels were clean. The patio was great. But Joan was the highlight. She’s very kind & I would definitely come back. Thanks for your hospitality

Went to dinner with another couple. Waitress was great but the food was not. I had the club sandwich and the chicken was very dry. I asked for more mayo and was able eat the sandwich. I would not order it again. My buddy had the crispy chicken and it was so overcooked the batter looked burnt, very dark brown. The chicken was almost tough and stringy. We informed our waitress and she apologized. The bill came, almost $200 and we asked if she could do something about the crispy chicken being terrible. She came back saying she was told NO. We paid the bill, left a good tip for the waitress but will not return. We live here, maybe if we were tourist we would have been treated better, very disappointed. It would have been better for the owner to come out and tell us rather than maker our server uncomfortable.

We drove here specifically from Ottawa. The food is very good. We had the fish and chips as well and hot wings. It's a beautiful view by the water (if sitting outside) the gentlemen we were talking to (i think he was the owner) was very nice and welcoming.

Awesome location, great portions and fabulous food. The Banguet burger was very good...and filling. And the fresh cut fries were so good. We will be back, just out road tripping today and googled restaurants.

Came for a fishing trip and didn’t want to leave the restaurant/hotel. Met the owner Dan right away, him and his staff are very hospitable and kind. Making accommodations for whoever steps foot into the building. Food was absolutely fantastic. Staff are awesome. Location is perfect. Dock right beside the restaurant, lots of food choices from chicken fingers to quesadillas, fish tacos, burgers and even some Jamaican inspired cuisines! Artichoke dip we ordered 3 times! We will be back with empty stomaches and hopefully some Bobcaygeon inn T-Shirts! Rooms are updated with comfortable beds, COLD FRIDGES, and if you lucky enough excellent views of the canal. Can’t beat the price for what you’re getting. Looking forward to our next visits!

Pizza restaurant
Formerly Tony's, the renowned pizza joint in town, has earned a stellar reputation amongst locals. It stands out as the preferred choice for pizza delivery even in remote areas like the outskirts of Lindsay. Its delectable offerings have captivated customers for years, making it a go-to spot for both residents and visitors alike. Their secret lies in generously adding extra oregano and garlic to every order at no extra cost.
Went to Formally’s Tony Pizza with my family, including two kids, and had a great experience! We ordered a veggie pizza and some French fries—both were fresh and delicious. The garlic dipping sauce was a hit, and the cookies were warm, fresh, and super tasty. The atmosphere was family-friendly, and service was smooth. Overall, a really good experience and we’ll definitely be coming back!

This place makes such a delicious pizza I've made four take out orders within ten days of it reopening. My favourite pizza ever and it ain't even close. Toppings: plentiful, high quality and appropriately distributed. The pineapple had the right crunch, but wasn't soggy. The bacon was healthy pieces, cooked to perfection. Ham chucks were diced finely enough that there was a little in every bite and they didn't overpower either of the other toppings. Crust: Goldilocks style - not too crispy, not too doughy, juuuust right. Not too thick, not too thin, it was the precise thickness required to give you a satisfying crunch without being burnt. Sturdy enough that when you hold it one handed it doesn't flop all over. Look in my photos for how perfectly browned it was around the edges. Sauce/cheese: this two things were joined together in a culinary harmony that only enhanced the other two aspects above. The ratio of the two was so precise across the pizza, I suspect a Ph.D student wrote a thesis on how to distribute them optimally. What kinda madman writes a review this detailed about pizza? The type of fella who would divorce his wife and marry this restaurant. All 22,367 citizens of this great City need to experience the euphoria. If you haven't been in here, close your browser and get on the phone. Check the photos, place your order and you too will be saving Formerly Tony's under "Best. Pizza. Ever." in your contacts.

Best pizza I’ve had in a while! We ordered the deluxe and it was loaded with generous toppings. Every bite was packed with flavour!

What can I say! 10 out of 10. Stopped in on the way home to try a slice. I was first impressed with the friendly customer service, then even more impressed with the price point. We live in a world of food uncertainty, so it's completely understandable to see raising food cost. However 7.75 for a huge slice and a can of pop is unheard off. Then I got to my car and tried the slice. There was flavor throughout the whole slice. What magic do they put in that dough? By far one of the best pizza I've experienced. I 100 percent will be returning to try the entire menu. 10 out of 10 doesn't give this place justice.

Best pizza and do I have to mention their wings are to die for!! Every time I go, the owner is so friendly and so nice. He always goes over and beyond to make sure I’m happy. :)

I saw all the reviews were great about this place so I ordered 2 gluten free pizzas thinking I would have one tommorow if it's that good. Honestly one of the worst ones I've had just take it off the menu if it's that garbage. Aside from the crust the toppings weren't blow my mind good or anything I didn't even want more than one slice of each. I would be more forgiving seem like good people but u charged me taxes in 56$ for 2 mediums that are dry kinda burnt and ... chalky? If your not gonna take pride in gluten free thing just don't serve it please!

Italian restaurant
I made dinner reservations at Pane Vino Trattoria to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was very pleasant, and the meals were enjoyable. The pizza and linguine were particularly tasty. However, there were a few minor issues that could have been improved upon. Firstly, the pasta dish should have been served with a spoon, but I had to ask for one and it arrived when I had already finished eating. Additionally, the cocktails had too much ice, causing spills when trying to drink them.
We went on a Friday night without a reservation (oops!) as we’re from out of province and it looked good from pics online. While they were full up inside they found us space on the patio and we were set! The service was amazing (fast, friendly, attentive) and the food was the same - delicious and filling. Would definitely come again next time we’re in the area. (Pic is the linguine). 🍝
Dew S — Google review
The only reason we’re giving a 2 star review is Not cause of the food alone, as it was great. Otherwise the review would be lower. Unfortunately the food was not worth the terrible service. As we entered the restaurant the waitress was very short with us and had an issue with us not having any reservations even though it was early day on a Thursday. The restaurant was less than half full, she had an issue with the orders (got them wrong) and no patience for kids, we had a 6 year old with us. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY SERVICE. We thought maybe she was having a bad day, however midway through our meal another customer came in and she was incredibly friendly to them as well as our surrounding customers. She also had an issue with the tip, she expected a 25% tip despite her bad service throughout our meal. Very disappointed and will not be back.

The food was phenomenal. I had the truffle fries and the pan seared salmon with risotto. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. The vibe was very relaxed and the decor was beautiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for an upscale Italian option in Lindsay.

Food was good but only 2 people in our party ordered an entree so it really should have been served with all the appetizers. Instead they were brought out when the other people in our party had basically finished. The meats on the antipasto board were both spicy...I feel they should have been different. Also, there wasn't much follow up with our meal from the server. Water should have been offered with the food. Atmosphere was nice.

Lovely spot. We had Americana pizza and Asparagus Ravioli. Delicious and just the right size. The wine and beer list is varied. The ambience was great, nice artwork, comfortable seating. The service was impeccable and so friendly.

The service here is friendly and efficient. The food is always fresh, tastes delicious, and is perfectly seasoned. The antipasto /charcuterie is the best we have had, the pizza and pasta never disappoint. The atmosphere is relaxed and the music is loud enough to enjoy while still having a conversation.
Nicole V — Google review
Probably the nicest fine dining restaurant in town. The gnocchi, tiger prawn shrimp and arugula salad starters were all delicious. The thin crust pizza was also very tasty. We didn't manage to finish all that, so we need to go back again so we can try the desserts.

Park
Emily Provincial Park, located in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, offers over 150 campsites with electrical services. The park provides laundry facilities and water taps at the center of the campgrounds. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as fishing, swimming, boating, biking, and canoeing. The park store offers affordable treats like large kiddie cones and lends out discovery kits for kids to explore nature.
Emily is a stunning provincial. Located right along the water. We camped here for Thanksgiving weekend and had a fantastic time. The park is very clean and the staff were always super friendly. All the other campers were polite and respectful of everyone else. Emily is located to close to a few other provincial parks which was really nice. Emily is a great place to spend the day or a weekend of camping.

The Park is awesome! I had a great time walking the trails and checking out the beautiful lakes. The views are stunning and perfect for a chill day or a picnic with friends. Everything is super clean, and I loved seeing all the wildlife there
Aaron C — Google review
The sites are larger and a little more spaced apart than many other pro. Parks. Wood has gone up to $10 a bag and ($6 for kindling bag) Staff is courteous and friendly. Some noise from exterior roadways but otherwise pretty quiet. Site fees around $150 for three nites on a electrical site. Shower and bathroom Facilities are decent. Overall four stars because there is always room for improvement and nothing is perfect. (Other parks need to separate the sites better, they are too close together.) I must add, I am in favor for "NO" site fees because this is "OUR" land. There should instead be a park fee for entering.

We stayed over the weekend of July 26th at site 141 in the Hill campground. The site: there was nice shade over our tent throughout the day as we situated ourselves under the trees. The site was slanted, and therefore so were we, but only slightly. We could see the beach entrance from our site which was a bonus. We saw the Warden twice during our 2 days, once through the campground, and once at the beach. There was very little privacy. Most sites around us didn't have any, either. The bathrooms were a quick walk. They were (mostly) clean - the TP is so thin it's impossible to get any without it ripping apart, so bring your own! At night the people around us were loud, with music and conversation which could be heard over our sound machine that was full blast. Our kids didn't seem to notice, but if you're a light sleeper like me - best of luck! I heard the Wardens come around at night, so most of the noise stopped around 12am. The beach/water: the campers beach is small, but well taken care of. The sand was shifted every morning. The water was decently warm and mostly weed-free. I was pleasantly surprised after reading some previous reviews... ignore the comments complaining of weeds. Fishing was great for the kids, which we did off the dock by the beach. The beach did get very busy, which was okay expect for those with little common sense. We had people playing volleyball so close to us that it hit our party once and one of our children second. Many people brought boards and large floaters which really starts to limit the small water space. The takeaway: a nice park with enough to do with young kids, a clean beach, little shop, and a playground. Wardens are pretty on top of things. If you stay at Emily park you'll appreciate the staff and amenities.
Amie E — Google review
Mostly people in RVs, very clean bathrooms and showers, huge beach. Dog beach is separate, and good for dogs, but pretty weedy and not great for humans to swim in. Be aware the camp store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays— and that’s where you are meant to buy firewood. Bathrooms are wheelchair accessible with long, wide, nice ramps, but there’s is a rather large bump up to one ramp , see photos, could be a nuisance
Laura A — Google review
This was an absolutely beautiful park! Lots of trees and bushes surrounding the sites for good privacy. The washroom and showering facilities were very clean in comparison to some other camp grounds I have visited. The beach was beautiful and clean and was a lovely walk through the trails to get there. Although I don't have children, I noticed they all sorts of camps and programs available for kids which I'm sure would be nice for family trips! All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and given how close it is to the city, I will definately be back again!

Camped for a week in Emily PP with my wife, daughter and two grandchildren. Sites were really nice. Park staff I would have say could be the friendliest out of all the PP we have been to. Also very clean. Bathrooms were cleaned 3 or more times a day. The complete park was really well maintained. They also have really good ice-cream at park store. The one scoop cone was two all three time we got ice-cream. My only disappointment was not really good park programs during our stay.
Wade M — Google review
It has a great mix of areas and camping spots. You are not crowded in. Also, you are close to Omemee and Peterborough for convenience. Good trails, swimming and fishing all from the parks camp grounds. Both the comfort stations and dumping stations are clean and well pointed for all your needs. Don't forget to go to the camp store for some ice cream. All in all, it's a great park. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lindsay Memorial Park is a popular destination for families, especially children who enjoy getting up close to trains. The park features a train-themed playground and ample space for wandering. It also offers a tennis court and plenty of areas to relax and unwind. Although the washrooms could use some improvements, overall the park is well-maintained. Conveniently located off the main street, it is easy to find regardless of the direction you are traveling from.
The trains on display here are really nice, very historic! Especially the wooden train car, you definitely don’t see many wooden ones around. My fiancé lives in Lindsay 🇨🇦, but I’m from Rochester NY 🇺🇸. So for me it was cool to see that one of the trains mentions Buffalo.

A cool place to see some vintage locomotives. We stopped by as we were headed out of town and saw this from the road. Great place for photos and kids would love it. I don’t remember much of the park as the trains were a focus for me.

Kids love to see the trains up close and personal and the playground follows suit with a train theme. Has a tennis court and lots of area to wander, a great spot to enjoy some downtime. The washrooms are a little run down, but otherwise the park is very well-kept. Right off the main street, it's an easy destination to find no matter which direction you're travelling from.

We loved the park and playground equipment, the old trains were awesome! Only word of caution, I found that the playground equipment that was train themed seemed to have a lot of gaps where small children might fall from a height that, if left less than closely supervised, could be dangerous.

Garry's Garden Gallery is a hidden gem for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space or indulge in relaxation with a hot tub. From the moment you engage with Mark, you'll experience exceptional customer service that feels personal and unhurried. The staff at Garry's are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, ready to assist you with any questions about pool and spa products, ensuring your water stays crystal clear.
The Staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable. I know its $5 dollars for a water test there, but it is worth it in the long run. The staff explain in great detail what the pool and spa products do for your water. As a result it keeps my pool and hot tub looking great. Can't say enough about the staff and how helpful they are. This is a great family run business. So give them your business and you won't be disappointed.

Be very aware if you live out of town that Gary’s only has a seven day return policy. We have bought all our flowers, water fountain and many other outdoor decor products since moving to the Kawartha’s 2 years ago. It was our place to go when in Lindsay. We bought a wall hanging for our patio that just didn’t work, not a seasonal piece as we have seen it there year round. We get into Lindsay every 2 weeks for a grocery shop so went to return it. What a surprise. Yes it is on the receipt as pointed out by the cashier, but wow. No store credit, nothing but sorry for your luck. Gary’s has lost a loyal customer over a $40 item
Doug P — Google review
I've always enjoyed going here until last week. My friend and I were looking around and we were approached by a worker that told us that we need to leave before the owner comes because we were holding Tim Hortons coffees. He told us that the owner is mad and there is a sign on the front door that says no food or drink allowed in the store. He told us to go back to our car and put our coffees away if we wanted to be there. We went outside, checked for the sign...there was no sign. We found the whole experience very bizarre, we left and went to another nursery where we were treated a lot nicer.

We purchased a $650 pool pump with the employees advice that it would be strong anough to run our 82000 liter pool. It was hooked up correctly and took 45 min to prime then only ran for 3 minutes and over heated and shut off, then I let it sit to cool and then it ran for another 3 min and shut off again. We then call the store the next day to return it and they will not do a return, only go through the pumps warranty. Theres nothing wrong with it, its just not strong enough. Which means my pool will be with out a pump for god only knows how long and will turn green. If they don't do returns, they should tell people this before they buy such expensive items, and train their sales staff more, so they know what to recommend. Will never shop there again.
Jamie M — Google review
Do not purchase a hot tub from here! We purchased a hydropool from them. 3 weeks past warranty, it broke. We called and were told since it’s out of warranty we need to call the technician ourselves. We were told it has to be this technician because he’s the only certified hydropool tech in the area. 3 months later we are still waiting for a call from the tech to come look at our tub. Called Garry’s several times and they were zero help. Do NOT buy a hydro Pool. You will not have access to a technician to repair it and Garry’s leaves you high and dry. They’ve got your $15,000. That’s all they care about. The manager was totally unprofessional and sounded bored with the issue. Take your money elsewhere and don’t buy hydropool because you won’t have a repairman

Hey there! I had a great experience with this pizza place. Even though they don't have dine-in, there are good reasons for it. We ordered again tonight, and the pizza was fantastic! We got a medium meat lovers and a medium ham, pepperoni, and onion pizza. They were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The staff at the take-out counter was super friendly and courteous too. We'll definitely be ordering from them again soon. Oh, and by the way, it's a take-out only location, and there's a Taco Bell in the same building.

Went to Pizza Hut today instead of little ceasers as I wanted a better quality pizza for my family I waited over 50 mins for the pizza and when I got home this is what I got Unacceptable if they had a zero rating that’s what I would have given No more Pizza Hut for this pizza loving family

Before the renovations Pizza Hut in Lindsay was my best option. Today was the first time we ordered after the renovations and it was a total disappointment. First of all we ordered regular crust, this looked like a thin crust, barely any toppings and slices where half the size. You could really not see the difference between a Hawaiian and Meat Lovers. Also the pizza was cold and burnt as you can see in the pictures attached.

Bad pricing structure: recently placed an order for a medium cheese pizza and was surprised that the total came to $24. When I later visited the Pizza Hut website, I saw that a large veggie pizza with two toppings is priced around $16 including tax. This seems quite inconsistent and unfair—especially considering a cheese pizza has fewer ingredients than a veggie pizza. There’s nothing special or additional in a plain cheese pizza to justify the higher cost. please review your pricing structure or clarify why this discrepancy exists?

A bit too expensive the only thing that's keeping me from not coming here is that they are pizza deals I had this experience a week ago the food tastes good here! 🙂

Pizza Hut pizza is my favourite of the chains so my review is ,perhaps, a little biased. This restaurant has a buffet from 11am-2pm and on Monday and Tuesday 4pm-8pm. Buffett includes a variety of pizzas, pasta, and salad. Free refills for sodas. 2 people for the buffet and 2 bottomless drinks including taxes is $30. Now, if you've never tried the dessert pizza, AKA cherry or Apple, because it looks terrifying that somebody would put dessert toppings on a pizza crust don't be afraid. I give it a pass. I have tried it and it is delicious. So if you're afraid take the plunge. We had a cute female waitress serving us and she was very friendly and professional. Most of the staff are very young and with all the horsing around in the back and the swearing amongst themselves could be overheard easily in the dining room. I feel some people may be disturbed by the way they act after all they're all in their 20s and I doubt this is going to be their lifetime career. That is why they lost a star. They kept up with the pizzas so there is always 6 pizzas out there with lots of different choices. The salad bar was a little lacking because it was just romaine lettuce with bits of tomato croutons and grated Parmesan. The salad dressings were Italian ranch and Caesar. What happened to Thousand Island? All in all for two people to dine with bottomless drinks $30 for all-you-can-eat is pretty good. The restrooms are very clean and the restaurant is very clean. Lots of parking out front.

Ziggy's Fish & Chips is a top-notch establishment known for its superior fish and chips. Customers can conveniently place takeout orders over the phone, with their meals being ready in just 10 minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent customer service. The food itself is truly amazing, featuring dinner-sized portions of haddock, chips, and coleslaw. The batter used for the fish is light and airy, while the quality of the fish itself is exceptional.
This place is clean, well kept, and the people seem quite nice, the food... Reasonable price, quality and flavour!... We had fish and chips here today (good Friday) and with our meal Note: I can't say I've had better fries or fish anywhere in the last 2 decades anywhere in Ontario! We had the halibut fish and Chip special. Excellent! Nice light, crispy batter. Staff is friendly and helpful. The seating area could use an update but, everything was sparkling clean. I will go back to try the Jamaican food.

Amazing food! Great customer service. Would definitely recommend the oxtail and rice and peas. The curry goat is tender and flavourful. The fish is always fresh 10 out of 10!! The staff is always a pleasure to chat with. Whether you’re looking for some authentic Caribbean flavour or a plate of fish and chips Ziggy’s never disappoints.

Big Up to Ziggys Fish & Chips + Carribbean food!! The food: Every bite is soulful, delicious, and heart‑warming. The battered cod arrives crisp‑golden, its flaky interior stealing the show, while the Caribbean side dishes—spiced plantains, tangy mango slaw, and a pepper‑infused jerk sauce—add a burst of tropical sunshine. The fish‑and‑chips combo is elevated by a secret herb‑butter drizzle that whispers “comfort” with each forkful, and the Caribbean twists keep the palate dancing. Why it matters: At Ziggy, meals aren’t just plates; they’re signals of pure positivity, radiating a vibe that can’t be dimmed. Prices stay delightfully reasonable, so you can savor multiple rounds of golden fries, succulent fish, and island-inspired bites without breaking the bank. Bottom line: If you’re wandering the Kawarthas and crave a culinary time‑travel experience—where classic British fare meets Caribbean flair—this spot is the must‑stop. It serves up more than food; it delivers a memorable, feel‑good moment that keeps diners yearning for another taste of Lindsay’s spirited charm.

Stopped by Ziggy's Fish & Chips while camping at Emily Park with a senior friend and wow what a delightful surprise! The place was very clean and the fish and chips were crispy, golden and delicious. You can tell they take pride in their food and their space. What really made the visit special was the people. One of the owners Herbert, was a joy to chat with. He was friendly, welcoming and we even discovered we both live in the same town! That little connection made the experience feel more personal. The staff member who brought us our bill was just as lovely and polite and greeted us with a genuine smile. The menu has plenty more to explore and I’m already looking forward to trying their Caribbean dishes next time. I’ll definitely be back and who knows, maybe I’ll bump into Herbert around town! Thanks again for the hospitality, Ziggy’s team. You’ve earned a new customer.

Haddock fish and chips were good, not greasy at all and the fresh cut fries were great. Other meal was the jerk stir fry generously portioned and the meat was nice and soft.

Ziggy’s is a hidden gem that perfectly blends the warmth of a family-style restaurant with the excitement of bold, flavorful cuisine. Their seafood is absolutely outstanding — the haddock and halibut are fresh, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with their scrumptious fries or indulgent poutine. What makes Ziggy’s even more special is the Jamaican flare woven into the menu: the curry goat, oxtail stew, chicken roti, and jerk chicken are bursting with authentic flavor and spice. It’s a fun, welcoming experience from start to finish, with food that leaves you eager to come back. Highly recommend! Jason Ward - WARDS LAWYERS PC

We have lived here five years and I have always wanted to try ziggys but never have. Finally decided to order takeout for the family tonight and wow I sure have missed out on the last 5 years! Incredible fish, great portions and extremely well priced (you can’t even get McDonald’s for four people for the price of their 4 person dinner). We will be returning for sure! Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a beloved fast-food destination in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, where the menu features an enticing blend of classic burgers, crispy fries, and their famous soft-serve ice cream. This charming eatery is particularly renowned for its signature Blizzards and delectable shakes that satisfy any sweet tooth. With meal deals under $10 that include a drink, main dish, fries, and even a small sundae, it’s perfect for those looking for quick yet fulfilling bites.
Service was prompt. Used a promotional coupon for the promo "2 can dine" bacon two cheese deluxe burger meals. They were tasty and economical.

Small restaurant but full DQ menu as far as I can tell. Both of our ice creams were quite atilt. Booth seats are in terrible condition, one’s bench is completely split and another looks like someone’s been extra hungry for foam stuffing. Food was decent but kind of cold.

Stopped in for a blizzard fast service friendly and ice cream were great. The reason why I gave a 3 star for the atmosphere is because this is an old store that needs some TLC on the inside. But this wouldn't stop me from returning to this location.
Catherine S — Google review
I walked in and ended up walking out. Staff were too busy talking to each other to even bother acknowledging my existence. How can one get a meal and eat it in 30 minutes with such poor service? I guess this DQ is making so much money they didn’t require mine. Too bad DQ is one of my favourite fast food places. This location has some serious management issues when chit chatting takes priority over customer service. I gave my money to a small local restaurant instead, which in the end was probably for the best helping the little guy.

Kawartha Dairy is a beloved ice cream parlour chain known for its classic and innovative flavors. The store offers generous servings, with options ranging from one to three scoops, and even provides complementary dog cups for furry companions. While the store currently only allows window orders, it boasts a spacious parking lot and benches for customers to savor their treats. Visitors praise the attentive service and recommend showing respect to the hardworking staff.
Great experience. The ice cream is fantastic and lots of variety to choose from. Ice cream is high quality and very fresh. The portion sizes are very generous too! Staff was very courteous and many workers being present make it a fast experience. It can get busy inside, wasn't able to properly check out other products as a result unfortunately. More seating area would be ideal as well. Highly recommended to try!

The kids love the ice cream from here. We always try to get it whenever we visit Costco. However, the options there are very limited, usually Vanilla and Moose Tracks. Whenever we want other flavours, we make the trip here. Love all the staff there - always welcoming and helpful.

Absolutely love this place. Every time I stop by Kawartha Dairy, it feels like a treat. The staff are always friendly and patient, even when there’s a long line on a summer day. Park
Ken Reid Conservation Area, located near Lindsay, offers a well-marked network of trails that wind through woodlands and wetlands. The area provides stunning views and opportunities to observe diverse wildlife. Visitors can explore various trails that traverse forests, fields, and marshes, offering a change of scenery. The marsh boardwalk provides an interesting experience, although some may find it a bit challenging. The trails are generally easy to navigate with wide paths and occasional boardwalks.
My husband and I have visited this beautiful place many times throughout the year. One of my favourites was the Christmas Holiday Lights that are hung up through the path. We have walked the boardwalk chasing birds and exploring through the trees to find pine squirrels. Great family place. Pay for parking. Its the right thing to do, signs are posted everywhere and the funds go back into the upkeep of the park.
Laura M — Google review
My son was taking a water sampling course for a few days at the Ken Reid conservation area so while he was in class, I took advantage of the trails. A lot of them are closed due to damage from the spring ice storm but there were enough to keep me occupied for 2 days. I was able to enjoy part of the boardwalk and most trails can be hiked in under an hour. Greatly enjoyed all the beautiful wildlife, such as a great blue heron, a few snapping turtles, lots of wonderful birds and plants. I recommend bringing binoculars for the lookout! There are plenty of picnic tables, an enclosed dog park, a children's playground and the staff in the administration building (where you can also find flushable toilets) are friendly and helpful.
Virginie C — Google review
Very pretty place with lots of trails however a few items impacted our enjoyment - several trails are still blocked off, eg. The point trail and the boardwalk. I also was a little confused as I was never 100% sure where I was on the maps around...would be nice if they had a "you are here" star or sticker. I kind of ended up aimlessly walking around as the directions weren't clear and realized I was walking in the opposite direction than I had hoped for a couple times. I would like to go again and do the whole woodlands trail if I can. My dog and I went to a bridge and then went to the accessible look out point which were gorgeous. Note: my photo of the boardwalk is just at the entrance where the barricade is. Hopefully it opens soon so I can explore that area!
Olivia W — Google review
There are many trails to choose from. We did 3 trails using google maps. There are a lot of parking areas in different spots. Washrooms are not the best. Kids were fishing off the bridge on VRT. There were some ATVs and bikers. Great place to hike.
Rubina D — Google review
Very large trail. There are no mosquitoes that's really great. There are so many path, however maps are outdated, and color coding is wrong. We encountered people asking us about directions and says the trail is confusing. The one in the map color was blue, but the sign says orange. There's a sign to use the trail at own risk and be alert with Bears being active from April to November. I didn't see Bears but saw claws on the blue trail (orange sign) and smelled like there's animal pee on it, so we decided not to continue. But, i saw a couple heading at that path. There's a nice small pond and a nice lookout on the Dragonfly trail. There are so many parking spots in the area as it's a very large place to walk by. Heading left were the Dragonfly trail is if you're looking for bird look-out on the Green trail. Saw two guys Park their car there and brought their canoe. The bridge you can view, which is really nice, although not part of the trail, you can go there and visit. On the right path is the pink trail on the sign (Cedar Forest on the map) where you can see the playground. However, it's not very impressive and the water isn't really a beach that you can go swimming, it's more like a water reservoir that's ok for canoeing or maybe fishing. The map does not say; "You are here," either. It's totally outdated and confusing for people. If you're on the go for a little adventure to walk, this place is nice.
Nin H — Google review
We didn’t have the opportunity to stop here for very long as we weren’t prepared for it but the conservation area seemed well taken care of, including the washrooms, and had some beautiful trails to explore. We visited on a breezy sunday evening close to closing time and the park was empty so it was very peaceful.

We went for a family bike ride early August and this place was absolutely beautiful. Biking alongside monarchs and spotting the swans is a mesmerizing experience. If you're looking to experience and immerse yourself in nature, this is a wonderful place. My favourite part about this place is not hearing cars on the trail.

Wolf Run Golf Club is more than just a golf course; it's a cherished destination for families and friends alike. This beautiful venue holds special memories, especially for those introducing their children to the sport. The joy of watching little ones take their first swings, filled with excitement and laughter, creates lasting moments that are hard to forget. During my recent visit with my wife Jane and our friends Vito and Linda, we were greeted by refreshing morning air—a welcome relief from the summer heat.
A Special Place for Our Family Wolf Run Golf Club holds a very special place in our hearts. As a father, I can genuinely say this course isn’t just about golf—it’s about creating memories. This was the very first place where my wife and I introduced our two children, a boy and a girl, to the world of golf. Watching them take their first swings on the range, with wide smiles and endless excitement, is something we’ll always cherish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, even as beginners. The course itself is beautifully maintained and offers just the right balance of challenge and enjoyment, making it ideal for both seasoned players and young learners. The peaceful setting and family-friendly atmosphere made every visit feel like a mini getaway. Wolf Run is more than just a golf club to us—it's where a family tradition began. We’re grateful for the memories we’ve made here and look forward to many more rounds in the years to come. Highly recommended for families looking to bond over a great game in a beautiful setting.

Had a fantastic experience here! The service was excellent, staff were friendly, professional, and made everything seamless. The course itself was in beautiful condition, with well-kept greens and fairways that made every round enjoyable. Amenities were top quality as well, from the rentals to the carts, which were clean and comfortable. Definitely one of the best golfing experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great day on the course!

We did a stay and play and we loved the entire experience! The course was enjoyable. Greens were in good shape and overall it was a pretty good course offering a variety of challenge. The staff were all really helpful and pleasant. The food was pretty good! The Caesar salad was too spicy for some of our group. The sweet potatoe fries were a hit.

Played here Aug 24th and I should have read the reviews. This isn't the course I remember. Immaculate fast greens are replaced with substandard medium greens that are mostly dirt and pock marked. The tees were dome shaped and hard to find a level spot to tee off from. The fact they charged 84$ is a crime in itself. Take your hard earned money and go somewhere else. I don't know if they changed owners or grrenspeople but they need a shake up quick.

Haven’t played the course in 3 years because the greens were awful. Came back this year still awful, it’s like putting off asphalt. Get a new groundskeeper please.

I recently had the pleasure of playing Wolf Run Golf Course with my wife Jane and our friends Vito and Linda. When we arrived, the cool morning air was a refreshing change after the scorching summer we've had – one of the hottest on record. As we headed into the Pro Shop, I was greeted by Josh Growden, a CPGA Golf Professional who's truly one of the best in the country. Josh is a golf pro who "gets it" – he understands the game, plays extremely well, and is an excellent teacher with top-notch customer service. After a great interaction with Josh, we grabbed a coffee and muffin, and the service was excellent – friendly and attentive. The starter on the first tee was also very nice and helpful. The golf course itself was in great shape, considering the extreme heat we'd been having. The greens were fast and firm, and I loved the layout of the course. My wife was particularly impressed, and she even said she'd come back to play again because the course is both interesting and fair, with plenty of options depending on which tees you choose to play. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back to play Wolf Run Golf Course again. Arthur Ewing CPGA Golf Professional

I went for 9 holes on a quiet night, course was empty, and I invited my mom to come and ride in the cart for fun, I was suprised they charged me for my moms half cart fee, even though she wasn’t playing, just watching (which I made clear to the pro shop). I’ve never been charged anywhere when I bring her but dealt with it and payed. When i started playing, it was easy to tell the fairways were terrible and sandy almost. tee boxes torn up and awful, but I don’t even know where to begin with the greens. Not a single green on the front 9 was good compared to the price I payed to play there. On top of that, hole 2 had a “temporary green” that was just a circular short cut fairway with a flag stick and a hole in the middle of it, I chipped on it because there was no chance putting. I was not made aware prior to the round that the course was in rough shape and had temporary greens, and was suprised they made me pay regular full price for that, aswell pay for my mom to come for a ride in the cart with me for fun. Unimpressed and don’t recommend, you just don’t get what you pay for here🤷🏼‍♂️

We are a recently retired couple that live in the Kawarthas and were very interested to get back into golf for recreation. We contacted Wolfrun and engaged with Josh Growden the local CPGA pro at the club. Josh suggested a 3 lesson package and took us through a program to meet our goals of swing redevelopment and better ball contact. Throughout the process Josh broke down the lessons so that we could take away what we learned to apply it as we golfed at our local course. We also appreciated Josh’s flexibility to deal with our busy schedules in rescheduling where needed. We look forward to take further lessons with Josh to continue our learning experience next season. Leigh and Don Blake I also had the fortunate experience of playing the course today. It was everything I expected in terms of value for the round, the quality and challenges of the course for a recreational player. While it is evident that the course has had some challenges over the course of a long very hot, lack of rain summer (as most courses in the Kawarthas have experienced) it is also very evident that the management are correcting these deficiencies as quickly as they can. I look forward to playing there again before the end of the season and into next year. Don Blake

Climbing through the treetops provides a unique perspective of the natural world, offering both challenge and reward while immersing directly into the heart of the forest.
Fantastic afternoon of entertainment for my daughter and granddaughter. They had a blast!! Highly recommend this outing. All the staff were friendly, patient and kind. Well organized and ensured everyone was safely harnessed before heading into the forest. Once in the forest each course had a guide. I would recommend packing snacks and something to drink, sturdy shoes. Lots of place to sit to take a break and to watch family zip lining. Adequate parking and restrooms Definitely will be returning.

The staff are good the idea is kinda fun. Its really a place to bring your 10-17yr old kids. I did find they layout kind of chaotic but the games themselves where fun and tough. I really wish It was more zip lines rather then climbs. They do a good job taking care of guests just wasn't my thing.

Amazing place and first time experience tree top trekking. The guides were so nice and helpful. The directions were easy to follow along and overall great courses. We made it to the 3rd course and it was pretty challenging but very fun. Our group had an amazing time there. One guy from our group finished all the levels and made it. Very few people were able to complete so we were proud.

Highly recommended. Very clear instructions and tons of supervision - but enough room to do your own thing too. My son struggled on a jump, and the guide watched closely. Before I knew it she was up there helping him out. She was super friendly, and always close by. It felt safe and rewarding with very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a family outing.

Great Experience at the 5-8year old course and Tree Playland. The play area should be a lot cheaper or bigger and more exiting as kids got their fill quickly within 30 minutes or less. They did the 5-8 course 3 times and it took 1.5 hours. They had to wait for kids ahead at times.

We’ve trekked across various terrains before, but this was a completely different and memorable experience. From the very beginning, the team guided us with incredible care—helping us with our gear and even giving a brief tutorial on how to use the equipment properly. Their structured approach to gradually increasing the difficulty level made it much easier to navigate the tougher sections with confidence. It’s one of the best ways to spend time outdoors with your family—especially if they enjoy a mix of adventure, physical challenge, and thrill. A perfect balance of fun, safety, and fitness. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the outdoors!

I had a great time tree trekking at Ganaraska. The staff were really patient and friendly. They were also very quick and helpful when someone needed help or were stuck on the course. And no one embodied that more than Kelsey! Her dry sense of humor 👌🏼. I would definitely recommend bringing snacks and water. Try not booking in the 2 pm time slot, the course closes at 5 pm, it especially goes against you if you have climbers slowing your progress. We had to get off half way through their toughest course because of time constraints. If they could add another hour it would have been perfect. Still had a great time!

A must detour for health minded folks! I was coming from a 2 hour hike, passing nearish here to get up to the cabin I had rented for the weekend. 100% must do. Brilliant menu with a variety of smoothie/nutrient types, salad bar, proper cafe side, grab and go counter of bakery goods and neat local items. Wonderful service. Bright fun decor. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Just moved to Lindsay and my sister-in-law recommended I give this place a try. Everything was very fresh and delicious! It’s nice to have a local place near by to grab a quick healthy snack. This will definitely be my new go to spot!

Clean space, kind human service, and delicious food. Had the chicken Caesar wrap and it was legit the best I’ve had in a while. I appreciate the kindness in that shop.

I went in for the 1st time ever for lunch. I got a large chicken ceasar wrap with extra meat, berry sporty smoothie and a protein cookie. Cost me $37. The wrap was excellent and filling. The shake was made with almond milk which I had never tried before. It was ok, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Perhaps I'll try another flavor next time. The store had pride flags and the crowd wasn't for me. I was definitely out of my element in there. Very friendly staff and clean. I'm glad I tired it, but I found it overly expensive. Good place for a quick bite. Egg salad Sammy's looked yummy.

We were passing through Lindsay and searched online for a healthy restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to find Fresh FueLL in such a small town. This is the kind of uber-healthy trendy thing you expect from a more urban area. Got ourselves some salads packed with some of the MANY options. And smoothies! Almost too many options.

Great food, fair cost and such friendly people!!! I ordered online and it was prepared and ready right when they said it would be. Huge serving and full of amazing quality ingredients!!

Just picked up my usual...a Greek wrap with quinoa. It was over stuffed with fresh spring mix, veggies, feta, and the most amazing lemon vinaigrette. It was crisp, super fresh and delicious. When I compare the cost, quality and questionable nutrition of the average fast food meal - fresh fuel wins hands down. As an added bonus, I find the folks preparing my meal are always lovely. Thank you for an awesome lunch. M
