Theme Parks
Santa's Wonderland is a festive amusement park in College Station, Texas that captures the spirit of Christmas from November to January. The holiday fair offers Christmas-themed food and snacks, while visitors can enjoy communal hayrides around the village and meet Santa himself. The park features brilliant light displays on the Trail of Lights, as well as activities such as toboggan and train rides, live music performances, and a petting zoo. To avoid crowds, it's recommended to visit on a weeknight.
A Magical Texas Christmas Experience... Santa's Wonderland in College Station exceeded our expectations! It's a truly magical experience for all ages, from toddlers to adults. We visited on a Friday afternoon around 4 PM and found it to be quite busy as the evening approached. Highlights: * Meticulous Design: The park is beautifully designed with a unique blend of Christmas charm and Texas flair. * Diverse Activities: There's something for everyone, including an ice skating rink, snowball fights for kids, a fantastic kids' park, hayrides, and outdoor fire pits. * Delicious Food: The food options were diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes. * Family Fun: We spent over 5-6 hours at the park and still couldn't experience everything. Tips: * Advance Parking: Purchase parking tickets online in advance to save time and avoid potential delays. * Weekday Visits: Weekdays are generally less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed experience. Overall: Santa's Wonderland is a must-visit for anyone looking for a festive and fun-filled Christmas experience. It's a fantastic place to create lasting memories with family and friends. Highly Recommended! I hope this review is helpful!

My whole family went. A total of 9 of us. For our first time doing a family trip it was nice but would I be back? Honestly no. The lines are entirely to long and if you truly waited for them all you would never even get through the whole park let alone half the park within the time frame they are open. It is WAY overcrowded. We end buying the speed passes for the kids because they would have never gotten on anything if they didn’t. The lights are beautiful and we bought funnel cakes but kept it all minimal due to prices on everything. For the amount spent just to go and actually ride I think it is all a bit much. We don’t have a desire to go back.
Jazlynn H — Google review
Pretty crowded but worth it. Must try the hay ride and tubing ride. They had a snow playground for free and the kids loved it. The funnel cake tasted excellent. Live music in front of the campfire was relaxing and interesting for the kids. For the Parking ticket buy ahead but you might need to walk a bit to enter the event. Staff guided us to get a spot to park. Friendly customer service kudos to their work.

This is our third year coming in a row and it’s our favorite thing! My teenage daughter and I look forward to it! Going on thanksgiving is great for us as it’s not as crowded. We buy the fast pass every year and it saves so much time. It’s totally worth it! Lights are always wonderful, snow ball fights, ice skating and the workers are always so pleasant. . Like we were lost one year and asked someone for help and he didn’t just point to the direction, he walked us over himself. We were so grateful. Only minor complaint I have from this year was the pictures you can buy on the snowball are taken just a few seconds too early.. when you buy the print they frame it but the pictures aren’t within the frame. So you pay 16$ for a picture that just looks really odd. But a small thing in comparison to all the good.
Alisa M — Google review
As a mom of a busy toddler, I can't say enough about our magical experience at Santa's Wonderland, a Christmas light-themed park! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a winter wonderland. The twinkling lights were absolutely stunning, and my little one was mesmerized by all the colors and displays. The hayride was a huge hit! (Be prepared to be in line for about an hour if you go within the first two hours of arrival from opening). My toddler loved bouncing along while spotting reindeer and Christmas characters hidden in the light displays. The cheerful holiday music playing along the way added an extra festive touch that kept us both smiling. In total, it was about a 20 minute ride. The snow hills were absolute toddler paradise! My little one giggled endlessly--the hill size was just right for her to feel adventurous but still safe. I loved how they had smaller hills for younger kids—it made the experience so inclusive. While the ice skating rink looked like a lot of fun, my toddler was just a bit too small for it. But honestly, we didn’t feel like we missed out because there was so much else to do. We ended the evening near the bonfire, watching the band, which was the perfect way to wind down with some cocoa and coffee. This was the kind of experience that creates lasting memories for families, and I can’t wait to go back next year when my toddler’s big enough to try ice skating! Highly recommend this for anyone with young kids looking for a magical holiday outing.

We come here every year and it's always been great. I would recommend parking in Rudolph so you're closer and the enterance is right in the middle. This year we did different parking and regretted it. We also showed up at 2 since that's when our parking was and didn't realize the place didn't open til 3 so we got stuck standing at the gate for an hour. The kids enjoy playing in the snow and ice skating. I will say however, I wish they'd flatten the snow out more instead of it being a mountain like it is. It makes it harder for the smaller kids to get up there to play and you not have to worry about them rolling back down. The lights were pretty and the kids enjoyed the bounce platforms.
Heather J — Google review
This place is beautiful. Most staff is friendly and welcoming plus place is very well kept. However, the food here, is priced pretty good like every other festival type of place. But not good for the price. We ordered a burger at one of their burger spots. The meat was the only warm thing and barely. Cheese wasn’t even melted bun was stiff and cold. Not good. The bbq spot, food is good. Not delicious but not bad. Another thing, the cold is understandable, you’re out in the woods temperature is obviously going to be lower than Houston (where we are from) but for the price, some heaters on the pathways or some more lit fires around would make it more comfortable for people especially the little ones. Is it really just one hay ride? The lines are flat out outrageous.
Jessica F — Google review
Great experience. Glad I decided to take that drive from Houston. Had our first hayride and it provided some great views. If we had it, I would’ve definitely paid for the express pass for the hayride. Riding the tube down the slope was cool; my 4 year old was able to tune down by herself. The kids really enjoyed the area with the snow where they were able to have snowball fights. The only bad part was the long line to get in the parking lot and the long walk from/to our parking spot.

The Museum of the American GI, located in College Station, is a military history museum dedicated to honoring and educating visitors about the service of men and women in the United States military. Opened in 2002, it features an extensive collection of military memorabilia including restored tanks, boats, and planes from World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War.
Very cool place. Very nice people. ALOT of well preserved history. Vehicles, tanks, weapons, uniforms, medals, dog tags, photographs, etc. So much cool stuff. I have passed by this place several times over the last 10years and FINALLY made the right decision to stop by. I'm so glad I did. The only thing that would of made this trip better, is if my family was with me. So much history from WW1, WW2, KOREAN WAR, VIETNAM, etc. There is also a section dedicated to Vietnam veterans and POW's/ MIA's. I went on a workday, after a work trip, so there weren't many people there. I was able to get in, have the whole place to my self, take my time, take pictures and get out. They had a bunch of magazines donated to the store, and I was able to purchase a bunch of them. There were hardback books there also, but they weren't ready for sale yet. The lady working the front desk also mentioned that in March, they would be doing a reenactment. They would be bringing out vehicles/tanks and cannons. Actually driving them around and shooting the cannons. I don't remember exactly, but I believe the entry fee was $14. Well worth it.! I hope to return in the near future with my family, so theu too, can enjoy the preserved history.

I stop by today with a mission. Thinking about donating some of my fathers W W 2 items. I'm glad I did. Very impressed with the equipment they have. I will stop by again.

Pros: lots of interesting artifacts from various eras, helpful & knowledgeable staff/volunteers, great gift shop, plenty of parking Cons: none Very cool little museum if you're interested in anything military. They have fun events every so often too. It's not tiny, but it's not enormous either, so you'll probably spend 1.5-2hrs here if you want to really learn about everything on display.
Catsur N — Google review
Definitely recommend visiting the Museum of the American GI if in Bryan/College Station! They have a large collection of restored and functional military vehicles, with which they do demonstrations and reenactments a few times a year. There are many military uniforms from different eras, often from local veterans, and a great amount of women’s uniforms as well. I especially enjoyed the military nurse exhibit and the museum’s huge collection of wartime posters. Parking was ample when we visited on a Saturday. It took us a little over an hour to go through the museum. There are several ticket discounts available, including for active military and veterans, seniors, and students.
Jess W — Google review
This is a wonderfully & thoughtfully put-together museum! Definitely worth the trip. Such a large selection of military uniforms - one of the biggest collections we've seen. The items on display are not just generally collected items, like from all over the world ... it is also about Texas and A&M - recognizing Texas & local heros & displaying their treasured keepsakes. They have a staff member that is exceptional and I'd like to give a shout-out to Annie ... she made the experience unforgettable! She's so sweet and friendly and she likes her tummy rubbed & will let you know that you are NOT finished. She's the museum's Corgi and she is such a sweet addition! ♥️ The other (human) staff members are all wonderful as well, of course! It is extremely wheelchair & walker friendly - very spacious and the elevator is right when you walk in (so there's no searching for it). There's plenty of parking as well.

Great place to go to on the weekend! They all kinds of restored army gear, not limited to things like the MA01 Abrams tank used in WWII, an ontos gun carriage, and a bell AH-1 cobra helicopter.(apologies if i butchered the terminology) i just went there with some friends and it was a cool Saturday, to say the least. And the cool thing is that all the machines function- they get them out every niceness and ride them around and shoot the cannons. Would taste higher than 5 if I could.

Attended the living history weekend today and it did not disappoint! Well organized, great collection of vehicles and the skirmish/battles were amazing.

What a hidden treasure! For years I have passed by this place on my trips between Houston and College Station and never thought to stop and visit. Finally decided to stop one day and check it out and it really is a neat place and so close to see so many different historical Treasures. We ended up finding the date of their living history weekend and attended and it was so much fun. Highly recommend this as a family outing look on their website for dates for their historical weekend which should definitely not be missed. The attached photos are a few from the historical weekend.

Park
Lick Creek Park, the crown jewel of College Station's park system, spans 516 acres and is a premier nature preserve. It boasts diverse native plant and animal species, making it an ideal spot for outdoor activities like bird watching, horseback riding, and nature study. The park features well-maintained nature trails suitable for walking year-round and offers opportunities for picnics and family photoshoots in the picturesque Fall and Spring seasons.
Great trail system, best experienced in spring/summer, some flooded trails during rainy season, quite a few fun Geocaches dotted around the park as well. Pretty flat trails unfortunately, I'd say the smaller trails are much more enjoyable than the larger and more travelled ones. Wildlife is a pretty common sighting around here, friendly deer, rabbits, snakes, interesting insects, and lots of cool birds. Some super cool points of interests can be found in different spots off the trails, some much more difficult to access than others. Be sure to pick up after yourself.
Ducklai — Google review
A semi-greenery covered and open area trail experience that has multiple loops that go into itself and isn't easy to lose yourself into. Nothing but flat dirt or rock covered trail paths to walk on, and there was one path trail called Yaupon Loop that did have more sand to walk upon. Overall, it's the best trail you're going to get out here in the area that isn't a local park experience.
Raiya S — Google review
Nice little park of old growth woods. Paths are well marked. Nature center has native plants around it that are labeled.
Chris P — Google review
It was fun to visit, the staff were very friendly and answered all of my son's and my questions thoroughly. I think the guy we spoke to was named Eugene and he had a broad variety of knowledge on the area. We explored one of the shorter trails but will be back to check out the others. Easy mile long walk.
Andrew C — Google review
This park is a great getaway from the city. Very peaceful and the park is different throughout. The paths are well kept, some are paved with gravel and some with not. Some trails can be a challenge depending on weather but you can bike ride and horse ride thesentrails too.
John F — Google review
I’d give zero stars if possible. This park has the only ONLY off leash dog trail (trail not park) in the city. The on leash entry to the park looks nice and well maintained but, go a short walk past the visitor center and the trail changes. The trail is rough and rutted. The off leash part is a full half mile on leash walk before getting to the off leash section. The off leash section started off gravel but the degraded into an overgrown muddy walk. The mud became so bad that I had to turn around and leave the red clay swamp. If this is the best the city leadership can do for providing a long distance dog trail, WE NEED BETTER CITY LEADERSHIP.

If you are single wanted to have a picnic the lawn is well taken care of for you to enjoy with your date.

I love Stephen C. Beachy Central Park! It's such a clean and welcoming place, perfect for spending time with my family. I enjoy the walking trails, playgrounds, and sports facilities, and the holiday light display is magical. It's always a great spot for outdoor fun and relaxation!
Abdel M — Google review
A lot of facilities at this park, but I'm only able to speak to the kids playground and splash pad. Very nicely done and shaded, with A/C bathrooms and a covered pavilion. Really appreciate 🔒that the entire area is fenced 6' high, with double lock gates to enter/exit. Ideal for kids 2-10 y.o.
Andrew E — Google review
Nice place to bring the family. Lots of outdoor activities. They have a splash pass area that is enclosed, walking trails, and areas to fish. There are picnic areas and baseball fields as well.
Christine A — Google review
Great gated and fenced splash pad with 3 separate but close playgrounds (within fence) and heated and cooled restrooms. Adequate seating for parents while kids play in splash area and picnic tables for taking breaks. Outside the fenced area is a nice walking path that includes a pond with ducks and geese.
Perdita S — Google review
Great time for the kids. The splash pad is great for all ages to cool off during the summer. Restrooms are climate controlled and decently clean.
Callie A — Google review
A very nice experience! Went to the Christmas light show and it was very adorable. The park is a very nice size! The lights were really nice and the fact it was free makes it better. I love how large the bathrooms are and they're pretty clean. The only issue is the light trail towards the back, there wasn't really a very good indication of where it began because the lights starting it were off. It's not a big deal or anything but it might cause someone to trip because it was dark or the start was. But that doesn't really matter for us because we went in through the background entrance to the snowflake trail haha We enjoyed our time spending in the park looking at the lights.
Coushatta R — Google review
Awesome park with lots to do in every season. We particularly enjoy the lights and activities for kids during the Christmas season. The City has done a great job of creating a fun family place to visit during the holidays. Altogether a fun place to take the kids. Recommend it.

Kyle Field, located on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, is a must-visit for any Aggie fan. This historic football stadium, completed in 1927 with a capacity of over 100,000 spectators, is one of the largest in the United States. On game days, it's an electric atmosphere as fans gather to tailgate and cheer on the Texas A&M Aggies.
First time being there in Texas A&M & i was very impressed on how big and huge Kyle Field after its renovation remodeling from the old one that they had 13 years ago. It looks and it feels brand new especially the architecture of the design for this football field, especially, it brings a passion. Enjoy for the Aggies fans, during game day.

Kyle Field, located in College Station, Texas, is one of the most iconic and electrifying stadiums in college football. Home to the Texas A&M Aggies, it boasts a capacity of over 100,000 fans, making it one of the largest stadiums in the country. The atmosphere is unmatched—when the “12th Man” stands and the crowd sways during the Aggie War Hymn, the energy is something every football fan should experience at least once. The facilities are modern and impressive, with great views from nearly every seat, and the game-day traditions create a sense of pride and community that’s truly special. Whether you’re an Aggie or just a visitor, Kyle Field delivers an unforgettable experience filled with spirit, passion, and Texas pride.

First timer and had a great experience. We shuttled from the Oak Mall and it was about a 15 minutes ride. All lines went fast. We had 400 level seats under the awning, but it was still a great view out of the sun. Food prices are cray. Eat before you go.
Kevin K — Google review
Absolutely incredible experience at Kyle Field! The energy is unmatched, you can truly feel the pride and tradition of Texas A&M everywhere. The “12th Man” spirit gives you goosebumps, and the crowd involvement is unlike any other stadium. The facility is clean, modern, and beautifully designed, with great views from nearly every seat. Parking can get hectic on game days, but it’s all worth it once you’re inside. Definitely a must-visit for any college football fan!

They charged me wrong and I didn’t say anything but they didn’t give me my burger plain AND it had hair in it. I returned it asked for a remake. And they gave me the wrong burger. I went back to get the right burger and I wasn’t gonna return the wrong burger they had given me. I ordered a triple cheeseburger and they had given me a double. They had the audacity to give me a SINGULAR PATTY to add to the triple cheeseburger. LIKE WHAT?! Thats just insane. I returned the double and they just put that cold patty they offered me inside. Ridiculous.

This McDonalds had one person in lobby and the place was a mess! Tables filthy, trash overflowing @3:30pm, floors filthy....all while three associates, along with their manager, stood behind the counter chatting away. Don’t come here if you want a sanitary place to eat.

Giving 2 stars because the food is always decent but the staff is horrible. The past few times I’ve gone I’ve had bad experiences with rude employees. I’m not a Karen and I don’t expect much from McDonald’s, but these employees are the lowest of low…. There’s only ONE lady that’s always nice. She has red hair and a southern accent. I wish I knew her name so I could shout her out, she’s great! The others… not so much. Just make the drive to the one on university. It’s SO much better.

I’m truly surprised this place has more than 3 stars. You could get better service at a shady gas station at 3 am in downtown atlanta than this McDonald’s. I can honestly say I have never had a pleasant experience here. It is always dirty, the staff is not only rude but also incompetent. It is surprising if your order is correct. There isn’t any kind of customer service here.

Wendy's is a quick-service burger establishment that offers accompaniments like chili and baked potatoes. While the quality of their food might not be exceptional, their desserts are worth a visit. The ice creams were greatly enjoyed by the entire family, prompting a 5-star rating. The small blizzard was particularly satisfying with no issues raised. This positive experience guarantees a return for dessert on future impromptu outings.
I don't order food from here but I'd imagine it's not that great. I only go to Wendy's for the dessert. So for that, I will rate it 5 stars! My family and I all thoroughly enjoyed our ice creams. I got the small blizzard and had zero complaints. We should be back for dessert on another spontaneous night!

Disappointed by the “Meal of Misfortune” – and not in a fun way We were so excited to try the new Wendy’s x Wednesday “Meal of Misfortune” — the promos made it look like such a cool, creepy, and fun experience. Our order didn’t come with any of the special Wednesday-themed items shown in the promo — no spooky packaging, no collectible items, just the “mystery dips.” The bag was ripped when we received it, and to make things worse, our food was cold and tasted stale. We had to ask multiple employees about the themed spoons for the Dark Cherry Frosty, and no one had any idea what we were talking about. It honestly felt like we got a regular order thrown together without care. If you’re going to market a special, limited-time collab like this, it should actually resemble what’s being advertised — especially when people are coming specifically for the themed experience. Very disappointing, and not at all what we expected.

Wendy’s needs to teach their cashiers better manners. We asked for the new Fuego meal and the cashier stated the fries weren’t available. We attempted to ask questions in order to find substitutions but he wouldn’t answer so we left.

I’m just saying without fail if that one lady that doesn’t speak english is working the speaker taking your order… it’s gonna be wrong😂. whether it’s the sauce or the drink or the entire order there will be something and it’s like 100000 times in a row now. Just check your bag before you leave…

I love Wendy’s… but this location was terrible. I had to wait outside the drive-through for 10 minutes for my food, they didn’t give me a straw for my drink, and they barely spoke any English. The guy who brought me my food didn’t even know what I ordered.

Ac is broken has been for over 6 months. And when you go through the drive through they hand you your frostys then pull you up for 10 minutes to wait on your food so they all melt. So annoying!

Italian restaurant
Luigi's Patio Ristorante is a charming gem in College Station that transports you straight to an Italian piazza the moment you step inside. This family-owned establishment specializes in traditional Italian cuisine, offering a delightful array of dishes from paninis and seafood to pasta and pizzas, all crafted from scratch with fresh ingredients. The ambiance is enhanced by live music on most nights, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners seeking both elegance and casual comfort.
I highly recommend stopping by. The decor was lovely, service was fantastic and friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the gnocchi with pesto and I loved it. I ordered the chocolate tiramisu and it was delicious, bold coffee taste without being too see. There was also a live piano player who was top notch and really added to the ambiance.
Jordan D — Google review
The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a very good waiter take care of us and our experience all around was great. The food was good but I felt that the pizza had a little too much cheese and hardly any sauce. My wife's chicken was a little overcooked on the crust but she enjoyed it for the most part. The tiramisu and espresso though were divine and I will always say please try to save enough room to have that at the end of a meal. That will always be something that I will be expecting to have every time I come here from now on.

Luigi's is a very nice, intimate dining experience. The clientele tends to be older because the prices are a little higher than many restaurants in the area, but for a special occasion, it's very nice. The food is outstanding. Our server sang us the daily special...it was sweet...her name was Sadie...she was outstanding;-)

Tried italian food for the first time here in college station for my wife's birthday dinner. We come from Fredericksburg, Boerne, and San Antonio. It was a busy night, but the staff was very friendly and we got a table relatively quickly. The restaurant was extremely loud, with lots of college/high-school age customers, as well as a live band with extra loud music. Put that aside, the food was way below average. I ordered the lasagna, but I've had better lasagna at home (homemade). The lasagna was basically tasteless. We also ordered a sangria, which tasted like sprite mixed with kool aid (I'm used to top notch sangrias like those served at Maggiano's in San Antonio). I've included a picture of the burnt toast they include for free if you request it. I've heard good things about this restaurant, so maybe it was an off night for them. I do not plan on going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone. For $88 it was definitely not worth the ride.

We just finished spending a birthday party here in the evening and we had a very large party but everyone was serviced very quickly by one waitress. the food was absolutely excellent, The desserts were amazing, and our waitress had such a wonderful attitude. She was very attentive and the checks got split correctly the first time amongst 11 people. We were very impressed and will 💯% return again!

Our server, Ty-Juan was outstanding. The food and ambiance were exquisite. Bonus was sitting next to talented jazz ensemble all evening. The icing on the cake were the desserts. You'll have to go to Luigi's and try everything for yourself. Thanks for a lovely time!

We came here for our anniversary and had such a great time! The staff were warm, polite, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel welcome right away. Our food (lasagna and bolognese) came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We also had Messina wine that paired perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, with a really warm vibe that made the night special. The anniversary dessert was such a nice touch. Definitely recommend Luigi’s for both special occasions and a great night out!

Worth a visit! Best Italian food I have found in the area, and reasonably priced for the quality. The cannolis were outstanding. The decor was really charming and there was even live music. Will definitely be back for the pasta again.

Fast food restaurant
In the 1950s, there was a popular fast-food chain known for its counter-serve burgers, some of which were stacked with multiple patties. Recently, families brought their kids to this place and they can't stop talking about it even after a week. The children have even started sketching the logo of Whataburger just for fun. While it might not be ideal for them to become obsessed with it, moderation is key.
Brian man you are amazing you were having a rush at Whataburger and we accidentally got a burger that had no patty I called up the Whataburger. Brian answered and he said ma’am let me get you a refund fully. He gave me new fries, a new burger and a free Dr Pepper shake Ryan deserves a raise so does the whole of the staff of Whataburger amazing people working there and having great smiles on their face, thank you Brian and the little cashier boy
Teri H — Google review
I've been a Whataburger fan since I was a kid, but they mess up my order. All I want is a Whataburger with only bacon, lettuce, and tomato, but they add mustard on my burger. I had to make a taco out of it. For Whataburger employees, next time, read the damn order properly.
Ramon ( — Google review
I love Whataburger food. But this location on South Hwy 6 in College Station NEVER gets our order correct. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hamburger or forgetting the cream gravy for my chicken fingers. And sometimes their chocolate shakes/malts taste more like they’re vanilla than chocolate. I hate to say it but I usually choose another fast food restaurant in the area over this Whataburger location. But when I give in and choose to get food from them they consistently mess up my order.
Rilee K — Google review
This whataburger by far has the best most efficient friendly staff I’ve ever encountered anywhere. At 5:15 on a Friday extremely busy store every employee I came in contact with was courteous, helpful and friendly and professional. Customer service does not go unnoticed
Carolyn P — Google review
This location is busy during the lunch hours but the staff is spot on getting the food out quickly and correctly! They had several people walking around making sure customers had sauces and napkins. Dine-in customers didn't stay long because their food came out quick!! Great job!!
Troy D — Google review
I took my kids here for the first time recently and they're STILL talking about it a week later. My kid has even started drawing the Whataburger logo for fun. I'm not sure if getting obsessive about Whataburger is a good thing but we will come back in moderation. I did enjoy the Whataburger as I always do. My kids for the chicken tenders and Whataburger Jr with fries. They ate everything! This is a great sign because they can be so picky sometimes. We also took advantage of a free Whataburger through the app sign up, and a free Whataburger Jr through a mailed-in coupon. Our total was around $15 because of the tenders, extra fries, and a drinks. Really not a bad deal to make us all happy. Thank you!

Three stars is a decent review. We had walked in on Sunday afternoon for lunch, reportedly after a huge rush. Ordered everything on the app, and food delivery was easily 10 to 15 minutes late. The common denominator for excuse is that they were just throttled, apparently, with lunch rush. No straws, no napkins, no towels in the women's bathroom. The floor was greasy, the food was good, but really not what you would expect at a Whataburger. Definitely was lacking, and I can tell you we have visited probably 50 plus Whataburgers all over the state of Texas. I thought this was going to be a solid place for us to stop for lunch, and had to apologize the 3 hours back to Fort Worth for recommending this place for lunch.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Nestled in College Station, Texas, Post Oak Mall is a vibrant retail haven that boasts over 125 stores and eateries. This shopping complex features an impressive lineup of popular brands like Victoria's Secret, JCPenney, and American Eagle Outfitters, making it a go-to destination for fashion enthusiasts. Beyond shopping, visitors can enjoy a diverse food court offering various dining options or let their kids play in the designated area.
Post Oak Mall is one of my favorite malls that I've been to. There is actually a pretty big variety of stores still open and the mall can get pretty lively during the day. Inside, there is Macy's, Dillard's, Hot Topic, Spencer's, Journeys & Journeys Kidz, Champ's, Footlocker & Footlocker Kids, Aeropostale, Victoria's Secret, Melrose Family Fashions, Earthbound, Claire's, and more!! There are also lots of locally owned businesses at this mall if you like to shop small! Chuck E Cheese is also at this mall location and there are lots of little cars that kids can sit in and play (they charge a couple dollars.) If you are hungry, the food court inside offers a lot of different options for everyone. There are Charley's, Manchu Wok, Roman Delight Pizza and Pasta, Great American Cookies, and more to fill you up!
LiME L — Google review
As with many malls across America, this one is slightly deserted. While there are still several stores open and stocked, I would check to see if what you are looking for is currently in the mall before coming. The food court had lots of options and the vendors were friendly. We picked the pizza place and the food was delicious. The reason we went to the mall was to visit Bath and Body Works. I was not disappointed. The staff was great and they helped find what I was looking for pretty quickly.

I brought my gold-plated cross to Gold N Diamonds Jewelry to buy a new $125 chain. They offered a simple cleaning for my cross and new chain, and I’m extremely disappointed with the outcome. Not even two minutes later, I immediately noticed that the gold plating had been completely stripped off. The cross is from Hyo Silver and worth $265, and it’s not even a year old. No one warned me that cleaning it would risk damaging or removing the finish, and I was never asked for permission to proceed in a way that would alter the appearance of my piece.

It’s pretty much the only mall here in College Station so we have no other choice. Most of the time, a lit of shops are closed. But at least it has some basic shops. Parking is rather easy.

My grandkids and I enjoyed visiting the Post Oak Mall. They had never been to a mall only regular shopping centers (Walmart, Target.. etc). We all had a blast here. The mall was very clean and had a great atmosphere. I was surprised that quite a bit of people were visiting and shopping at this time and age! This will be our go to place when the grandkids visit us again. Don’t forget about the Malls, they were the best idea to be invented!!

Stopped in to visit McAllister's. Had no idea they were there. Very helpful and knowledgeable team. They did not have what I needed (the exact size fuel line is rather rare). But they had huge variety inventory. Will visit again

Literally so rude. Bought something literally less than 10 minutes ago, came back asking if I could exchange it, hadn’t left the mall, still had my receipt and the original packaging. It was just out of the packing. It was a notebook that I didn’t realize was squishy and wanted too exchange for something not squishy. Took 5 min to get her attention, and when I did she had a mouthful of food and was extremely rude about the situation and didn’t let me exchange, even tho SHE had checked me out 10 min prior. Awful customer service, rude worker. Not sure of her name all I know is she was a black girl and had glasses with a bandana.
Hailee R — Google review
This mall is small but there are major stores inside. Plus there weren’t a lot of people shoulder to shoulder inside. There are a lot of stores with sales. Bed bath body works has a good sale. Plus there is a shoe store with a very good sale on flip flops. Lids had some nice hats for Hubby. I really likes this mall. It’s not big but has the major stores we all love, JC penny, Dillards, Claire’s, sun glass hut, foot locker etc. the food court also was pretty good. We has Chinese food and the price is really good. For two people was only $15 for meal and drink. They also have a Chuck E Cheese here. Didn’t expect it to be this nice. It was worth the drive. Check em out. I enjoyed it not too big not too small.

If you're looking for a vibrant and exciting destination, look no further than Grand Station Entertainment! This expansive family-friendly center is packed with activities that cater to all ages. From modern bowling alleys and exhilarating laser tag arenas to engaging arcade games and challenging escape rooms, there's something for everyone. The lively atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for families bonding, friends enjoying a night out, or even solo adventurers seeking thrills.
I visited College Station with my squad and we wanted to go out and do something late night, this was the perfect spot for the occasion. All we did was bowl, but they had plenty to do here. The staff was kind and the atmosphere was great. The lane tables were a little crowded; close to the group over, but overall, this is a nice place to have some family friendly fun.

BEWARE OF GETTING POKEMON CARDS here. I was so excited to redeem the points I had been saving for a bunch booster packs since I’ve recently started collecting. But every pack we pulled from the Stellar Crown set was a FAKE. These booster packs were also all sealed. They were all missing the Pokemon company QR code card and had faded backsides, or off center printing on the back. Definitely open your packs in front of an employee before you walk out with them! The second photo is a comparison between a real and fake card. Real card is on the left and the fake one is on the right.

We celebrated our son’s birthday at this wonderful place and had an absolutely amazing time! I want to thank the bartender for the excellent service, Nelly for her kind help and attention throughout, and Alissa for organizing everything so perfectly. Everything went even better than we could have imagined. As someone who isn’t local, I was a bit nervous about inviting new friends and wasn’t sure how to impress our guests. But everyone was truly delighted with The Barn — the private space was perfect for hosting kids and gave us peace of mind knowing they were safe. It’s no surprise that the parents who dropped off their children decided to stay and enjoy a cozy couple of hours with us. The pizza was delicious and filling, and even the fries tasted great after they cooled down! The kids had so much fun playing Laser Tag and arcade games, and we really appreciated being allowed to bring our own cake. This charming bowling area inside The Barn turned out to be just perfect. The quality furniture and stylish interior made the atmosphere even more special. It’s a wonderful venue for private parties, birthdays, and corporate events. Thank you for giving us such beautiful memories of our celebration! 🎉

We wanted to try this place for a while and we decided to take the kids there for spring break. The parking lot had plenty of parking. Prices were a little high but not too bad. They weren’t that many people there but there was a long line to get to play as it was only one register open and that guy was overworked and grumpy. That was plenty of staff walking around, being on their phones and talking to each other. Waiter spilled out beer, brought the wrong appetizers and then someone else came saying that he left. Place is huge has lots of games and bowling lanes but I understand why it was so empty.
A A — Google review
My review is for bowling only as I've not used any of the other attractions. I'm at the bowling lanes three times each week and my experience has been consistently good. The staff is friendly and helpful and the lanes and seating areas are always clean and maintained. I don't think I've ever seen a stray drink or food wrapper. It can be pricey for a family, so be sure to check out kids bowl free to help manage costs. If you're a bowling enthusiast, be sure to check out the pro shop for friendly advice and excellent service.

The service is a 10/10, there was a minor in inconvenience in the kitchen that set the food that we ordered back for a little bit over 40 minutes, we kindly ask the staff about our food and they made it their top priority to help us. Gratefully, having to wait for the food the manager added an hour and a half to our bowling time, gave us a free pizza, and a free play card that included an hour and a half of bowling and up to 5 people to bring. Definitely need to come back more often!!’

Park
Wolf Pen Creek Park is a serene green space located just 10 minutes away from the campus. It offers well-maintained walking and biking paths, including a popular 2-mile loop trail that follows Wolf Pen Creek. The park features a 9-hole disc-golf course, an amphitheater lawn for events, and open grassy areas for relaxation. Despite some pollution issues during Covid, the park remains a beautiful and peaceful place to visit.
This is one of the most amazing outdoor attractions in the city of College Station. It is probably the only with the longest working and running trails in town with so many unique features. It has a big amphitheater stage in water and an elevated field facing it. There are play grounds for children and areas designated for food trucks on events. The park also has parking spots at the east and south Entrance sides. The creak and small pond around the amphitheater have turtles and and other creatures that makes the site attractive. There are also jungle gyms and rest rooms by the park. Water fountain and power outlets are available at fairly close range.

A great place to walk, picnic, or catch a sunset (or a Bulbasaur). There’s a playground, two large grassy fields, an amphitheater, and a small pond. Definitely recommend the route over the bridge and to the right, which winds a good ways alongside a creek through a nice, shady wooded area. There are restrooms available near the amphitheater and its large sloped grassy field. They sometimes host free live music and movies there. There’s plenty of free parking near the community center and some picnic tables as well. There’s also a bunch of Pokémon Go routes of differing lengths too if that interests you.
Jess W — Google review
Everything that was unsafe which I communicated was pleasingly handled. Needs a clean up, people really polluted the water during Covid. I have not proposed one yet though. This place has free music at times with venders. I have had some great times at this park with the best energy in the nation. You really should see it at sunset, the lighting is set up spectacularly to look like candles against the backdrop. There are fireflies in the trees after dusk in the summer!

This is not just your everyday meandering trail by the creek for it is an opportunity to take in some rare wildlife, fauna and fresh air while educating yourself with some fun facts as you stroll. Plenty of benches, water fountains and chances to leave the trail for a more adventurous, rewarding, and lasting memory of college station await you. Simply step between the ferns for a kiss under the mistletoe before daring to go over the embankment to another world of seclusion, privacy and the sound of babbling brooks. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears perked for you may see beavers, otters, or even a rare gecko from the Indi's or hear the hoot of an owl at dusk. Perhaps, if you wish upon a Lone Star you could get a glimpse of a rarely viewed and secretive flying squirrel.

Dog park
University Park Dog Park is a popular spot in College Station, offering a large fenced-in area for dogs to run and play. The park provides various amenities such as water fountains, benches, waste bags, and even a small pond where dogs can swim. There are separate areas for big and small dogs, as well as a playground for children. The park is usually bustling on weekends but quieter during the mornings and weekdays.
Incredible, picturesque dog park within college station. Giant area for big dogs and separate large area for small dogs. Big pond, and tons of structures for the pups to play on. Will absolutely be back!

Beautiful park. The playground was nice for my 2 year old. She enjoyed it. The park was shaded and comfortable. The dog portion seemed really nice looking. It had a pond, picnic tables, and a dog obstacle course.

Cute little dog park. Two separate areas with drinking water and small ponds for your dog to swim and splash. One for large dogs and the other for small dogs. Also 2 short walking trails that circle the park. There's a small water hose upfront by the entrance sign in which you can use to spray off your four legged friend before going home. Love coming here! P.s Just always be leary of other people's dogs 🤗 not everyone's dog is as friendly as their owner would like to think they are and that's at every dog park.
Breyanna G — Google review
My dogs love to stop by and enjoy their pup cups on the way home.
Bryce P — Google review
The dogs are typically friendly, it's a good place to let my dog be a dog and get some socialization time. There are always toys, tennis balls, and sticks lying around to throw for the dogs, a fair amount of seating, shade, and a pond for the pups to cool off in. Be sure to know your dog's temperament with others and set your own dog up for success. The park is typically crazy busy on weekends, and quieter during the morning and the work week. One major drawback is there are a lot of young adults who are too busy socializing to watch their dogs, and I've seen a fair amount of preventable fights break out. There are also venomous snakes and snapping turtles, so be sure to keep an eye on your pup, especially if they're crawling through bushes and in the water.
Megan H — Google review
My friend Quentin who knows I do reviews goes to this amazing honey hole with his sister and he pointed it out to me. When I walked into this community treasure with my friend Monica, her husband and their dog Winston I was imeadately taken aback by both the size of the place as well as the amount of amenities offered. Two fenced in yards allow the big dogs to be separated from the small, there is a playground for the kiddies and even a grassy area that would be great for frisbee. Plenty of parking, drinking fountains a place to wash the hound off when your done and to top it all off it's definitely the HOT SPOT to meet people. Channel comes here with her pair of Wippets which are similar to greyhounds but smaller and if I knew I would meet her there I would of been waiting with flowers. I rate this spot a super grade honey hole:)

Gumby's Pizza is a casual restaurant chain that offers a wide variety of pizza, wings, and comforting Italian dishes. Whether you're craving a late-night snack or enjoying a meal with friends, Gumby's has got you covered with their affordable and delicious options. Despite the busy atmosphere, the efficient staff quickly served customers and ensured that orders were ready in just 15 minutes. The food arrived hot and fresh, leaving patrons satisfied with their enjoyable dining experience.
We've picked up pizza from here or eaten in-store roughly once a week for about six months now. The pizzas and calzones are incredibly delicious, made quickly, and exactly to order. (Big fan of the Heart Attack and the Meat Locker!) The staff are warm and friendly, haven't had a bad experience yet and we know we can come and eat when we're both run down from a crazy week without being hurried to leave.

It was a fun atmosphere and the pizza was tasty - will come again - but next time I’ll try blockhead. Got the chicken bacon ranch with a light jalapeño and dipped in jalapeño ranch with a stoner pie pizza ( French fries and morels sticks on top - don’t knock it till ya try it! ) Everyone with us enjoyed their food.. took awhile to serve us but we had a big party. TRY IT ! We were glad we did !

Good experience overall. If you just order pizza rolls, they have those ready almost instantly, but wings will take a while. The wings were large & flavors were good. Only complaint is that the edges of my flatbread were burnt so I was only able to eat part of it. The pepperoni pizza rolls are best with a sauce (ranch and/or garlic butter are my favorites)!

When it's the wee hours of the night, and the fridge is empty, Gumby's is a good place to go. Fantastic specialty pizza rolls. Jalapeno ranch? Some of the best in town. They have forgotten to put all I've paid for in the box from time to time (always check before you leave), but it's a solid spot. Best pizza rolls in town, hands down.

This Gumby’s is a great spot for any kind of gathering. Eating alone? nice place for it. Need it to go?they are timely as long as you give your self time to order. Friends/family meetup? Plenty of open seating inside and out. The pizza and pepperoni rolls🙌🏼 (drinks/beers) are our favs! My husband is from SM and prior to him the river was my favorite and have always loved Gumby’s when they were at UT Austin. My son was a Texas State student for his freshman and sophomore year, he has transferred up north this year. But one thing we never have to ask while in San Marcos is what pizza place we are going to! As long as Gumby’s is around with its bright open spaces, great ambiance, and just as important clean bathrooms we will always recommend🙌🏼🙌🏼

Great place to enjoy the evening with your loved ones. Service is great & the food is always delicious!! Very fresh! Our pokey sticks- add mushrooms & sausage!

Love me some Gumby’s! Went in as I was leaving town. Midday, not too crowded, food was fresh and the quality was great. Service was the best I’ve had in a long while. Games on every TV and cool music playing to boot…. Highly recommend for quality pizza at a decent price.

1st time visitor. The pizzas were huge and tasted amazing! The ingredients were fresh and the menu choices plentiful. The service was excellent with the pizzas arriving quicker than I thought considering it was a busy Saturday. I look forward to my next visit!

Mexican restaurant
This Mexican fast-food establishment, known as Chipotle Mexican Grill, provides a wide range of options for customers to customize their meals such as burritos, tacos, and bowls. Their offerings have been enjoyed by many people who have had negative encounters with other Chipotle locations. The steak was cooked impeccably with a tender pink center and a well-cooked exterior. Additionally, the vegetables were tasty and the guacamole was made using fresh ingredients.
I’m been craving chipotle 🤤🤤🤤 I was so full🤰 they give you such large portions by the time I was done with lunch I was so stuffed and I couldn’t even eat dinner. by the time dinner came around I was still full! Had to skip my next meal 🤰I tried the new chipotle chicken. But it was sweeter than expected vs spicy like I thought. The guacamole is so good love getting all the toppings. Just next time I’m gonna save half my lunch so I’m not so overly full just didn’t want to trash my leftovers. Plus it was so good to stop 👍🥑🥰

Had to go to chipotle twice because 1st time around • My rice was still raw & hard. Chicken was burnt. And not many other choices to choose from be cause barely anything was prepared. Went back to just try and see if they would remake it. They remade it however, rice was okay but chicken is extremely burnt. I’m on my lunch break and don’t have time to go back. But practically everything is either overcooked or undercooked. Nearly spit the whole plate of my chicken out. • No eating utensils, no napkins , & dirty environment. Happy they tried to rectify the situation, however still below par. Corporate definitely needs to make a trip to get that place back to where in needs to be.

This chipotle is one to avoid. I have been here on 3 separate occasions where they’ve been “out” of the vinaigrette. I am starting to think the kitchen and staff just don’t feel like making it. I just picked up an online order and I asked for additional dressing and the employee said “we’re out of the vinaigrette and it’s probably not in the bag either” and proceeded to still charge me for the vinaigrette. They also give you less than 1/4 of a bag of chips when you order their $8 chips and queso. One of the worst locations in College Station.

There wasn’t a clean table in sight. The service was terrible (no napkins, no soda tops, no ingredients). The serve was slamming objects in frustration as the fellas in the back left her upfront to work alone in frustration. They needed an adult to work there.

This place used to be good several years ago. Now, there's trash everywhere. Portions are small and the station they make assemble your food is filthy. As they assembled my burrito, they dragged it through all of the filth on the counter. I had to ask them to wrap the burrito in a clean piece of foil. Absolutely disgusting.

Disappointing Experience I don’t normally leave reviews, but my wife and I were genuinely that unsatisfied with our visit. From the moment we walked in, the service felt rushed as if they were in a hurry to get us out, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. The staff seemed uninterested and had an attitude that made the entire experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the rice was hard and undercooked, which completely threw off the quality of the meal. We expected better from a place like Chipotle, but unfortunately, this visit missed the mark in every way. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this location based on our experience.

Kindest workers, guy and a girl (no names sadly) were super fun!! Best experience taking my friend to her first ever chipotle trip :)
Gracie-Marie C — Google review
If I could give 0 stars I would. The past 3 times I’ve came the service has been so slow it takes my whole lunch break to even get my food, and one time I came at 9 pm (an hour before closing ) and they were out of rice. When I do actually get my food, the portions suck even when I pay for double. Do better!!!

Fine dining restaurant
Veritas Wine & Bistro is an elegant and contemporary restaurant that offers a blend of Asian-French fusion cuisine with a focus on seafood, accompanied by an extensive selection of wines. The locally-owned establishment provides a chef-prepared dining experience, featuring dishes like calamari, scallops, halibut, duck, and venison. Guests have praised the perfectly cooked scallops and duck while recommending the sea bass and wagu beef.
Love, love love this place! This is my "must visit" spot whenever I come to College Station. I am especially a fan of their tasting menu (which they can make gluten-free and dairy-free if you give them advance notice). The tasting menu is a wonderful way to spot my new favorite dishes (especially fish dishes)! The quality of the fish dishes here is especially outstanding. A dinner out here costs a bit more, and dress is more formal, but the atmosphere is wonderful (live music), and the company, wines and food are divine! Just a few tips. First, reservations are highly encouraged, and I would say necessary for groups larger than four. One of the reasons I love this place so much is that they can accommodate my gluten-free, dairy-free needs. If you want to do the tasting menu, and you have special dietary needs, you need to give them lead time - I believe they said they needed 24 hours, so let them know when you make the reservation.

We love this place! Great food, customer service is on point, nice quiet ambiance for dinner, and good drinks! This is our go to for when we want a nice, romantic date night! There is also an outside patio if you prefer that.

Was a great experience. We ordered a meal that they surprised you with 6 different plates. Later in the meal the chef/owner came out and talked to us. It was nice to actually get to thank someone who put in the work and effort into our meal. I believe food tastes better when you put your heart into it and I will say the chef did just that. Once again thank you it was great.

Locally owned by an Aggie, this restaurant and wine bar is definitely a place to visit for a chef prepared meal. We had the tuna appetizer followed by two main course recommendations from our server. We went with the sea bass and wagu beef. We also ordered the truffle Mac n Cheese. The meal was to die for, I highly recommend Veritas! We arrived at 5:45 on a Saturday so the place was just starting to take reservations, hence the empty restaurant pictures.

Last night my wife & I did their six course chef's choice. Calamari was overcooked, chewy, and oily breading. Scallops were cooked to perfection & garnished magnifique, and fantastic in the mouth! Halibut was overcooked to flaky but dry. Garnish was on point. Duck was cooked to perfection! Thick moist and delightful! The way duck can only be allowed to be cooked. Venison was wonderful and cooked just right, as well. I had mixed emotions on the garnish, but still atleast a B+ or A-. Wagyu beef was a crying atrociousity - ruined. I was amazed at how dry it was, considering the color of the meat. I think it is because it was SLICED! (releasing the juices) and to add insult to injury: likely left to sit at the pass too long. The desert was divine! The lemon square and sopapilla was truly remarkable. Brownie was good, but not exquisite. Overall a fantastic finish. Finally, each wine they chose to pair with each course: on point and worth a slow sip and left to linger in the mouth. That being said: whomever was at the pass the evening of 11/09 needs an educational talking to. These prices dictate the necessity of, at minimum, near perfection, and nothing less. This time I was with my wife for her birthday, and didn't want to risky any type or oftputting feelings, so I sent nothing back; I simply shared the comments with the nice waitress who attended to us, to pass to the chef, then we were leaving. I shall return to try them again. But during the next visit I will return things that are over cooked. Why? Not just the price, but, also, b) his place has potential, and silence will not get them growth.

Absolutely amazing place. Live music, super friendly but not overly pushy wait staff, excellent wine and a great ambience. From the 3 times I've been to College Station, definitely my favorite meal so far.

Went to Veritas after my graduation for a lunch. The place was not packed, as I expected it to he during this time of the semester. The restaurant looked fancy with a bar in the centrw and tables all around. The menu was small and the dishes were costly. We could not vibe with the place so we left after taking a look at the menu.

Amazing lunch and great price. Went again for dinner and the filet mignon was the best I have had in this town. Also has excellent cocktails love this place!
