The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were once the tallest buildings in the world and remain an iconic symbol of the city. These modern Islamic-designed towers stand at 88 stories high and offer a visitor skybridge for breathtaking views. Guided tours are available for visitors to explore the towers, including the Observation Deck on the 86th floor with stunning panoramic views.
Ear popping experience you will not regret. Buying tickets in advance online recommended. Takes less than an hour and the staff are all very helpful and guide you thru every stop to the skybridge and top on the 86th floor observation deck. Great gift shops on top floor and ground as you exit. They even let you mail your postcards right there! Put this short but memorable stop on your list in KL!

Visited this place recently and I must say I found this building quite charming compared to other high towers. We went during twilight and could see the sound and light show as well. People were very well organised and there is a lot of place to sit around too. Loved the vibes of this place and could be amazing to spend the evening here.
Radhika S — Google review
Petronas twin towers, more commonly known as the twin towers, is one of the most iconic landmarks in the whole of Malaysia. This architectural masterpiece is truly stunning, mesmerizing, breath taking. It's extremely beautiful, and is massively tall. It almost feels like the top of the tower fades away into the sky. The twin towers used to be the tallest building in Malaysia, but the less known Merdeka 108 is actually taller. Regardless, no one can deny the twin towers beauty. It is the first place we visited after arriving in Malaysia, and we truly had a whale of a time here. I've never seen anything like this in any of rhe other places I've visited in the past. The inside of the twin towers is paid. But the Suria KLCC mall in the first few floors, in the base of the towers are free. We find visit there, the prices are a bit astronomical for my taste. However, for the wealthy travellers, almost every luxury/high end brand we couldn't afford is here! One interesting I must note is the toilets in the ground floor are 2RM (rather expensive) to use. But if you go to the second floor, (or first perhaps), the toilets are free. So save yourself and your family 2RM and go to the second floor and use the toilet for free. It's not that nice though, most other malls had nicer toilets. Regardless, toilets aside, this is truly one of the best views I've ever seen.

The Petronas Twin Towers are not just the tallest twin towers in the world, they’re the glittering heart of modern KL. By day or night, they’re a jaw-dropping sight, especially when lit up against the city skyline. Start your visit inside Suria KLCC at the base of the towers—a huge and elegant shopping mall with everything from high-end luxury brands to local favourites. You’ll also find an excellent mix of restaurants, food courts, and cafes—perfect for everything from a quick bite to a fancy dinner. But don’t stop there—take a stroll through KLCC Park behind the towers. It’s beautifully landscaped with fountains, shaded paths, and a huge man-made lake. You’ll get amazing photos from different angles of the towers, especially during golden hour or when the towers light up at night. There’s even a free light and fountain show every evening! Fun fact: The towers were once the tallest buildings in the world (1998–2004) and still hold the record for tallest twin towers globally. They stand at 452 metres and are joined by the famous Skybridge on levels 41 and 42—which you can actually visit! If you’re in KL, this place is an absolute must—whether for shopping, dining, photography, or just soaking in the vibe of one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic landmarks.

The Petronas Twin Towers are truly magnificent, an architectural marvel that leaves you in awe the moment you lay eyes on them. It’s almost unbelievable that such a masterpiece was conceived and constructed nearly four decades ago. The design is both futuristic and timeless, perfectly blending modern engineering with Malaysian cultural elements. Whether you’re admiring them from the ground, walking the skybridge, or standing at the observation deck, the Petronas Towers offer a perspective that reminds you of human creativity and ambition at its finest. A must-visit landmark that truly defines Kuala Lumpur’s skyline.

Amazing experience!🤩 I absolutely loved the night view — the KLCC Twin Towers look breathtaking when they light up after dark. The atmosphere is calm, the surroundings are vibrant, and the whole place feels magical. • Tickets not really recommended 🎫— you can enjoy most of the beauty from outside. • Easily accessible via KLCC Metro Station 🚇, just a short walk away. • Don’t miss the water fountain show 🌊— it usually happens between 8 PM to 9 PM, and it’s stunning to watch at night. A must-visit spot in Kuala Lumpur, especially at night!

Amazing picture was the first time to visit KL last 2 days ago from Singapore & JB by bus. It is the very nice place for the tourists attractions & Malaysian citizens were take picture like Petronas Twin Towers such nice lights.

🌆 First Impressions As we approach the city center, the twin spires dominate the skyline — gleaming silver under the sun by day and sparkling with lights by night. Standing at 452 meters (1,483 feet), they were once the tallest buildings in the world and remain among the tallest twin structures globally. The Islamic-inspired design, with geometric patterns and sleek steel-and-glass façades, immediately conveys elegance and harmony. 🏙️ The Surrounding Area At the base of the towers lies the Suria KLCC Mall, a luxury shopping and dining complex that draws both locals and tourists. Outside, KLCC Park provides green space and a scenic lake with fountains — perfect for photos and evening strolls. The Lake Symphony light and water show at night adds a touch of magic. 🏗️ Skybridge & Observation Deck One of the highlights for visitors is going up the towers: Skybridge (41st & 42nd floors): Connecting the two towers, it gives a unique vantage point and a thrilling sense of standing between giants. Observation Deck (86th floor): Offers panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur — from modern skyscrapers to distant hills. On clear days, the view is stunning, especially at sunset. 📸 Our Experience We love to taking photos from the park or the fountain area, where the full height of the towers fits beautifully in the frame. At night, the illuminated towers look especially majestic — a must-see for photographers and sightseers alike. The audio-guided tour inside provides fascinating details about the architecture, design, and cultural symbolism. ☕ Nearby Attractions After visiting, we explore: Aquaria KLCC, an oceanarium beneath the towers. Avenue K (another mall across the street) for dining. The nearby Bukit Bintang area for nightlife and shopping. In short, the Petronas Towers are not just skyscrapers — they’re an experience that combines awe-inspiring architecture, cultural symbolism, and vibrant urban life at the very heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Nature & Parks
KLCC Park is a sprawling 50-acre urban oasis nestled around the iconic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The park features a manmade lake called Lake Symphony, where visitors can enjoy choreographed fountain displays and water shows. With over 1900 trees, including various species of palms and indigenous flora, the park was carefully designed to attract local and migratory birds while promoting biodiversity. Visitors can also explore walking paths, sculptures, a playground for kids, and even a wading pool.
I really like the concept of this park, a beautiful green space right in the middle of the city. No wonder it has become such a popular tourist attraction. Its location is very strategic and easy to reach. The park is also super kid-friendly, with a playground and pools that are completely free to use. A perfect place for families to relax and enjoy nature amidst the city life.
Alifia M — Google review
A beautiful park right in front of the Petronas Towers .it’s incredible to see a fountain show set against the backdrop of towering skyscrapers in the heart of the city. The park is super well-maintained, easy to access, and has plenty of spots to sit and relax. Grabbing a coffee from Suria Mall and watching the fountain show here was the perfect way to unwind and refresh.
JW K — Google review
Definitely worth your time to walk around the park. Take lots of pictures of the plants and trees. Water fountain display turned on about mid afternoon and was pretty good. Large park for children and wading pool. Amazing sitting in the middle of gigantic buildings and feeling comfortable. Enjoyed a couple of beers, sitting down and people watching.
Mark P — Google review
An awesome, really well-kept park—super green and full of trees. There are plenty of benches where you can sit and relax. It’s the perfect spot to just hang out. And if you’re into running, there’s a jogging track laid out all around, which I’m pretty sure was designed just for that. It’s also a great spot to catch a different view of the Petronas Towers. If you’re bringing kids along, there’s a splash park where they can have tons of fun, plus a playground to keep them entertained.
Teamir Y — Google review
Very beautiful park in the middle city of Kuala Lumpur. Especially when you come to this downtown park on a sweltering afternoon. The clear fountain lake winds through the lush tropical greenery, bringing a sense of coolness and calm. Whether you sit down for a short rest or take a leisurely stroll, the whole place feels wonderfully comfortable.
Zhang M — Google review
A truly beautiful park right next to the iconic Twin Towers of KL. Especially for running this park is a very good place and offers sitting with a good view on the skyline and a shopping centre right next door. It's really good for a calm walk along the small pool or under the trees, while seeing the highest buildings of the city.

Nice, green space in the heart of a big city. It’s perfect for relaxing — peaceful, clean, and with plenty of seating. It’s also right next to the Twin Towers, a popular spot for photos. 07/11/2025

Shopping mall
Shopping
Suria KLCC, a 6-storey shopping hub that opened in 1998, is a popular destination for both locals and tourists of all ages. Situated next to the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers, the mall offers designer boutiques and international restaurants. Visitors can explore indoor attractions like the Petrosains Discovery Center and Aquaria KLCC, or enjoy outdoor activities at the lush 50-acre KLCC Park.
Suria KLCC is a big and modern shopping mall that is always crowded. There are many food courts with plenty of choices and a wide range of fancy stores to shop from. There is a public restroom in the basement near Maybank which is free to use, while the restrooms on other floors charge 2 MYR. The mall is right next to KLCC Park which makes it a great place to shop, eat, and spend a few hours.
Lydia C — Google review
Suria KLCC remains one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic malls, located right beneath the Petronas Twin Towers. The mall offers a great mix of luxury brands, mid-range labels, and lifestyle stores — from Chanel and Prada to Uniqlo, Zara, and local designers. It’s clean, air-conditioned, and beautifully maintained, with festive decorations that make each visit feel lively and upscale. The dining options are extensive — whether you prefer a quick bite at the food court or a sit-down meal at popular restaurants like Madam Kwan’s or Ben’s. The outdoor KLCC Park and Lake Symphony fountain show add a scenic touch, making it an enjoyable spot even beyond shopping. That said, it can get quite crowded during weekends and holidays, and food prices are slightly on the higher side compared to nearby eateries. Parking can also fill up quickly, so public transport via the LRT is recommended. Overall, Suria KLCC offers a complete and vibrant shopping experience — perfect for tourists and locals alike, and a must-visit landmark in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

I stayed Mandarin Oriental next to the Petronas Twin Towers for a week while visiting Kuala Lumpur with my son, and we went to Suria KLCC almost every day! It’s cool and comfortable inside, filled with many branded stores — perfect for shopping or just strolling around. I also got to buy my son some new clothes and toys here. Such a convenient and family-friendly mall, definitely one of our favorite places in KL!
Angelina A — Google review
A popular mall that has a great selection of shops - one of the best in the region! It is very well maintained despite its age. Toilets are clean too, despite the crowds. There are frequency fountain shows just outside the mall. It is also connected to the convention Center via an underground link way. Recommended!

Menara Kuala Lumpur, one of the tallest freestanding towers globally and the highest in Southeast Asia, stands majestically at 421 meters. This iconic landmark is not just a communications hub but also a fantastic viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur. Visitors can indulge in a unique dining experience at its revolving restaurant, which provides a stunning 360-degree perspective of the city as they savor their meals.
KL Tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the city. Standing tall above the skyline, it offers incredible panoramic views that stretch across the entire city and beyond. From the moment you arrive, the structure itself is impressive, combining modern design with a touch of elegance. The highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the observation deck. From this vantage point, you can see the Petronas Towers, bustling city streets, and even the surrounding greenery that balances the urban landscape. On clear days, the view is breathtaking, while in the evenings, the glittering city lights create a completely different but equally stunning experience. For those seeking a bit more thrill, the Sky Deck and Sky Box are unforgettable. Stepping into the glass box suspended high above the ground gives an adrenaline rush while also allowing for some incredible photo opportunities. Beyond the views, KL Tower also has attractions like a small zoo, cultural exhibits, and dining options, making it more than just an observation tower. The staff were courteous and the facilities well maintained, ensuring a smooth experience. KL Tower is not just about the height; it’s about experiencing Kuala Lumpur from an entirely new perspective. Truly unforgettable.

IT's one of the most iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone visiting the city. Standing above the skyline, offers 360° panoramic views across the entire city and beyond. The structure itself is Impressive and offers the best views - reccomend to visit at sunset! The interior is not that impressive but offers some history , a sweets shop and some souvenir shops. For those seeking a bit more adventure and not afraid of heights, the Sky Deck and Sky Box are the place. Couple of extra floors up. Stepping into the glass box suspended high above the ground gives an adrenaline rush while also giving the opportunity for some incredible photos. Overall a great place to visit. Unfortunately, to get back downstairs was a nightmare as they had just 1 lift working so we wasted about 30 min of our lives there queueing to get out. Would have appreciated some more attention to this detail and maybe a small cafe to kill that waiting time. With love, K @iam.krisztina

I got the combo ticket that included both the Sky Terrace and the Observation Deck at KL Tower. After enjoying the open-air breeze and the stunning, wide-open city view from the Sky Terrace, I honestly regretted getting the combo. the Sky Terrace alone was more than enough! The view of Kuala Lumpur from up there was absolutely breathtaking.

Also known as the KL tower, this telecom structure has a 360 degree viewing platform. Views in all directions are clear and very interesting. There are far more parks and woodlands in KL than ground level exploring reveals. The city is almost surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains.
Glenn H — Google review
World’s seventh tallest observation tower, built in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city. It provided a 360 degree view of the city. Visitors can overlook the famous patrons towers, financial tower among other attractions. The tower is more than 100 meters tall and the elevator takes around a minute to reach. They’ve three floors, glass covered deck, outdoor deck and glass bottom box. You’d encounter buildings covered in clouds during rainy days. There’s a shuttle bus taking visitors from the entrance gate to the tower base. The tickets are available at counter available for purchase with either card or digital payment, no cash payment allowed as they’re now cashless. However, you can grab it at a discount of 10 RM if you buy online one day in advance. There’s a couple of food options at the base and an open lawn for you to relax. The hop on hop off bus stop is right outside the lawn and taxi pick service is available too.

Yes public transport doesn't take you there, but if you can walk up the hill having taking in the challenge of sometimes walking sans pavements, the KL Tower is the place to go for might time photo opportunities of Petronas twin towers and the Merdeka 118 building. If you book the sky terrace ticket you can stay as long as you want to achieve the best photo.

Whether you're craving Malaysian specialties or international cuisine, this restaurant has it all. Enjoy fine dining with stunning cityscape views from the heart of Kuala Lumpur. One of a kind dining experience. The view from this tower is so breath taking. You can have a view of petronas twin tower and whole Kuala Lumpur. Must visit place. Good food and hospitality They even celebrate special occasions like birthdays and anniversary with a special cake and song. Affordable prices
Aishwarya M — Google review
Great view up at the revolving restaurant - if can go up early so you got a day view and a night view of the city of Kuala Lumpur. The ride up is fast and service was quite OK. The buffet spread is good but I felt the food quality was just OK but usually when when coming to a place like this, I don't expect too much on the food.
Andrew ( — Google review
This self-rotating restaurant, boasting the highest altitude in Kuala Lumpur, falls short in several aspects. The unclean carpet, unprofessional and seemingly groggy foreign staff, and the non-rotating floor diminish the overall experience. Despite the promise of a "million-dollar view" of Kuala Lumpur, there's little else noteworthy. The limited food options, primarily Malay cuisine under the guise of "international cuisine," do not justify the RM248 price tag. Comparatively, one can find more diverse and higher-quality options at other buffets.
Maxwell A — Google review
Seriously the buffet doesn’t worth the price. The price of buffet is only for the view of KL tower. The food is so so, and is too crowded. Nice view but when we visit the 360 is not moving, under maintenance. So we can only see 1 side view but no cheaper for the price. I think some other hotel with half the price have better food and service.

Been a bucket list item since young. One of a unique kind of revolving restaurant experience. We had our lunch here and it was awesome. It almost takes an hour of rotation to reach the same point. Food was delicious. Views are great and can see around without any hustle n bustle crowd in the observation deck. They even give a free cake for anniversaries and birthdays. Would definitely recommend.Beverage options for the buffet can be improved though (not included in dinner fee).
Abdul A — Google review
If you are looking for a nice view of Kuala Lumpur or to impress your other half or a celebration, you will not regret this place. Perfect ambience for any moments. Food dishes are on average only. Now, on the negative side, you will experience a long queue starting from getting your restaurant tickets to getting into the elevator. The waiting area is warm and unpleasant. It is a rather long wait for the lift as well. Parking lots are limited as well.
Andrew L — Google review
I think the view is more beautiful at night than during the day. If you turn up slightly early for dinner, you can see the sunset. The buffet itself is not bad, but nothing to shout about. Lots of tourists so I was really surprised there wasn’t any ice kacang, or Nasi lemak. You can order your steak the way you like it plus the grilled lamb. Meat is slightly tough. The dining package is quite expensive but the view is stunning so I would recommend it. Traffic in the area can be quite heavy especially when it rains as Menara KL is located in the Central Business District.
Tan T — Google review
I had my birthday celebration here together with my family. We were the earliest here, made a reservation few weeks earlier and originally we booked a normal table but we were upgraded to a VIP table. Their staff were so friendly and constanty giving service. We were also given welcome drinks. There are photographer on standby as well in case if you want a print out photo. Make sure you request to check the photo first prior printing. The lunch buffet consist of rice with dishes, pasta, noodles, soup, salad, beans and cheese, lots of desserts and ice/hot drinks. The view was breathtakingly beautiful, as we came for lunch we could see everything from the top. Special arrangements can be requested upon booking; birthday cake, balloons, flower etc. There is washroom available on the same floor.

We visited Mandarin Grill in April when we were back in Malaysia for a simple weekday dinner. Although we had made a reservation beforehand, there seemed to be some confusion upon our arrival as our name was not on the list. The front desk escorted us into the restaurant, then left us unattended while they rechecked the reservation again. This felt unnecessary, especially since only three tables were occupied at the time. Eventually, a waiter noticed us and guided us to our seats. It took nearly 15 minutes before menus were brought to us, and even then only the food and wine list were provided and not the beverage menu. We had to ask twice before it finally arrived. It felt as though the place was understaffed. We were expecting a better service for a restaurant in a renowned five-star hotel For the night, we ordered the beef tail broth soup and bone marrow as starters, and the Argentinian beef Wellington which recommendation serving is for two and mashed potatoes and two drinks on the side. We were served a complimentary scallop ceviche with garlic and caviar that was exquisitely good, along with a basket of assorted breads. Drinks, however, took awhile to arrive, as we saw it came from not within the restaurant, likely from another bar or outlet within the premises. The bone marrow with parsley and garlic crumb was a great combination and the rich melted marrow paired beautifully with the sourdough bread or just by itself. The beef tail broth soup served with 5 small tortellini was pleasant but fairly average. The beef wellington came gorgeously, served with buttered asparagus and black peppercorn sauce were on-point. The exterior flaky butter puff pastry offers a crispy, golden-brown crunch that gives way to the incredibly tender, succulent medium-rare beef at the core, encased in a rich earthy savoury mushroom duxelles creating a delightful contrast and a symphony of textures and flavours with every bite. By the end of the night, we were happily full and decided to skip dessert after so many indulgent courses. A special mention must go to our second waiter, Almin, if i can recall correctly, who delivered our food and completely turned the evening around. He was attentive, warm, and made us feel truly welcome in stark contrast to our rocky start in the beginning.

We had a private dinner for a group of 10 whereby a fancy 7 course Degustation Menu was served. The food were very nicely presented. We started off with the bread basket and I really enjoyed the warm breads and had to refrain myself from getting more before the actual dinner starts. The food was good and they accommodated my request to change my mains to lamb instead of beef. I did not really like the strange flavor of Red Sea Snapper, wrapped in Lotus Leaf. But the risotto with saffron, sautéed mushrooms hits the right spot. The unique dessert of Mangosteen Granita was nice and refreshing. The service here is of a hotel’s 5 star quality. Overall a lovely experience.

Had fanatic experience in this restaurant. Amazed by food, service and ambience here. We loved their foie gras, cod, oysters. Scallops flambé were presented nicely but too much cheese overwhelmed the scallop. Alcohol on the expensive side.

An elegant fine dining restaurant in Mandarin Oriental KLCC area with Michelin Starred chefs. The venue is beautiful and comfortable with great ambience and very cozy. The interior is awesome. You can see the KLCC Park from the restaurant’s window. The restaurant was almost empty during lunchtime that made the conservation’s easier. The three of us ordered the set lunch. From the set lunch, I selected: Appetiser: Roasted tomato soup Main course: Grilled tenderloin Dessert: Black forest mousse We had very delicious lunch. Food taste, quality, portion size and presentation is also very good. Every dish was well finished in detail. The tomato soup is nice. The grilled tenderloin is well prepared. The mousse dessert is also delicious and interesting with butterfly decoration. The service is excellent with very friendly staff with proposer table service. It is fairly expensive restaurant, if without the Mandarin Oriental discount card but it is worth the price since it is comparable against other fine dining restaurants in KL. The waiter told us that soon, they are going to launch a new concept to “all grills” from the current “Italian foods”. Definitely will visit again when they change to the new “all grills” concept.

Wonderful time dining here. Beautiful, comfortable venue. Great friendly and efficient service, with chef Marco making the rounds to greet guests. Antipasti misto was visually and palatably exciting and for the exploratory diner. Had fun sampling the different nuanced tastes across ingredients. The dry aged smoke-infused angus steak was done to perfection and very memorable for me, brought back some serious scent and taste memories. Smoked duck pasta was rich in taste. Tiramisu rounded off the meal nicely, chocolate powder was fine and had deep linger. Wine list paired well with everything to boot. Kudos to the team. Keep up the great work!

Squid is recommended to try! The steak is average but the taste of the asparagus is refreshing. The tiramisu for dessert is not an option (packaged into mud😓). Thanks to the chef for my birthday surprise. look forward to the chef's new menu next time…🦑_🦑 PS:Hotel welcome drink of choice with Pinot Noir🍷

The food was amazing as always. Way better than other more expensive places around the area. Definitely was happy that we took the chef’s appetiser, Antipasti Misto, it made us crave for our main course. I had the Australian Black Angus Ribeye while my wife had the Salmon Steak. The mushroom sauce that accompanied my Ribeye raised the taste of the dish to whole new level. Mash potatoes in Mandarin Grill is a must have! Will come here again for either lunch/dinner this year. Ain, our hostess gave a great service plus good recommendations for our dinner. The restaurant even treated us desserts, and MO KL never disappoints when it comes to desserts.

Steak house
Argentinian restaurant
Pampas Steakhouse at Old Malaya is a renowned dining spot, especially for couples looking for a romantic evening. Housed in a century-old colonial building, the restaurant offers an elegant ambiance and picturesque views of KL Tower. The menu features an array of steak options including Spanish Txogitxu, Black Angus, and T-Bone steaks along with starters, seafood, salads, and pastas.
Took my family out for my birthday. Had the mixed grill steaks and the Tbone. These steaks are HUGE. The mix grill was way more than 300g. I’m not complaining. Only bad thing was the lamb chop, it was mostly fat. The service is top notch by the servers. They treat you like 5-star. Complimentary bread and water is served. We ordered my steak medium rare (which it was). I just think they didn’t cook it in a very high heat. But the searing was still good. My other ordered medium (but they gave her medium rare as well). We got a dude of cream spinach which was delicious. The great thing? Their portions are huge. The side spinach could feed 4.

Good environment to spend time w your partner, friends or family. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food is nice and reasonable price. The parking is quite pricey but what do we expect from that kind of place. I love the ambience.

A great restaurant to celebrate a birthday! The steaks were so well cooked and according to what you prefer. Mine was medium and it was perfect, and the choice of starters mouth watering. We had the shrimps and scallops and both were delicious. Service was excellent and attentive. There’s a choice to sit outside and watch the night sky, lights and KL Tower or inside, with its lovely table settings and cozy atmosphere. They provide valet parking so you don’t have to worry. Actually this 1919 old Mansion is part of a group of old houses converted into restaurants and that means it’s more then 100 years old. This is what ‘Heritage’ means, preserving the old for everyone to enjoy. Most commendable!

Everything was absolutely amazing 👌 went on a Saturday night for an early dinner. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection. The pumpkin soup was silky and great with the pairing of bread. Service is also top notch, we booked upfront and they checked if we wanted to pre-order cake for the occasion. Parking is easy, there is valet service provided with a fair price. Thank you for the good service!

Excellent food. Tried this place once and would go back again for sure for special occasions. You get what you pay for. Would recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind spending a lot on quality food. I love heritage buildings and I'm happy this building has been preserved. One sad thing is that the adjacent Serani row of heritage buildings were demolished. They could have saved it done something similar to old Malaya.

Happy that we chose this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our steaks were perfect. We loved the calamari starter and the dessert too. Will come back again with family on special occasions. Update: Came here again on a weekday to celebrate my husband’s birthday with his family. The dining experience was perfect. We all had a great time.

Unbelievably homey ambiance yet feel luxurious. The food is good especially the carbonara, dark interior but feels comforting. Suitable for special events. Nice service, every angle is instagramable, every spot is nicely decorated. I recommend for special events, you will get what you paid for.

We were here to celebrate my birthday today. We chose the set for two. The food was really good. Our first course was Seared Salmon with Pesto, it was so fragrant when they served the food and the taste also turn out very good. I had soup of the day, beef soup, it was taste. Our mains, Black Angus Tenderloin with Rosemary Jus, very tender and juicy, the sides also taste superb. Dessert was mango mousse, delicious. And and, their lava cake, very very good. Prity was our server, she's so friendly and gave us good advice on the mains. She also helped us to take pictures from every angle. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Overall, very good experience.

It's surrounded by upscale hotels and is known for its vibrant atmosphere.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pavilion Kuala Lumpur – A World-Class Shopping Experience Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is truly one of the most impressive malls in Malaysia — a perfect blend of luxury, lifestyle, and local culture. When I say it is a huge shopping mall, it is incredibly huge. I have been to the biggest shopping malls in Bangkok, but this one felt bigger. So many floors that I got lost a few times. It was my first time here and it was even hard to navigate to the exit of the building. It would be great if there would be better signage for first-time visitors.

Visited last friday, sthe place is huge and really lively! One of the most luxurious malls in KL, with lots of high end brands and popular international stores. The vibe is super nice, always crowded with people and tourists from everywhere. Definitely a must visit spot if you’re in Kuala Lumpur!

Honestly take a few days to explore pavilion and the surrounding malls/area. Heck Pavillion alone is a great place to explore and shop. Be sure to get your tourist card when you are there by showing your passport to the concierge. You get discounts and stuff from some stores through it. Also download the Pavilion app, its very handy for keeping track of the stores you want to visit and has a nice map feature to help you from getting lost.

Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Aquaria KLCC is a sprawling aquarium that offers an immersive underwater experience with over 5,000 exhibits showcasing marine and land creatures. Visitors can stroll through a clear tunnel as fish swim overhead, witness feeding shows, and interact with sea cucumbers and starfish at Gene Pool. The aquarium features more than 150 species of marine life including tiger sharks, sea snakes, rays, coral fish, and seahorses.
Last week we visited Aquaria KLCC with the kids and it was such a wonderful experience for the whole family. The kids were really excited and enjoyed every moment. Inside, we could see so many different kinds of sea creatures — from sharks, turtles, big stingrays, and seahorses, to many unique types of fish. The aquarium is well maintained, clean, and the display tanks are very impressive. The staff were also friendly and helpful, making the visit even more comfortable. It was not only fun for the children but also educational, because they could learn about marine life while watching it up close. Overall, it was a happy and memorable trip for us. Definitely a recommended place to visit in KL, especially for families with kids.

This place has been around since I was in primary school, and now that I already have a kid, it’s still the same. Honestly, nothing much has changed. Price 💵💳 Ticket price is RM48 on weekends and RM44 on weekdays. You can buy tickets online, and they also have a combo ticket for 2 parents and 1 child. The entrance line can be long whether you buy online or walk in, you’ll still queue in the same lane. For online tickets, you’ll need to show proof with your MyKad and MyKid. Babies under 2 years old enter for free. Environment 🪼 The place isn’t very spacious, but there are plenty of fish to see. Facilities are okay, but they could really use some improvement because nothing seems to have changed in decades. Parking🚗🚕🚙 For parking, you can park at Suria KLCC and walk through the connecting link between Suria KLCC and Traders Hotel. If you’re at Suria, find the Maybank inside n next to it, there’s a passage that connects directly to Aquaria. Alternative Parking🚗🚕🚙 Alternatively, you can park at the Traders building itself and go up to Level C, or at UOA Open Parking which is about a 5-minute walk away. It’s easy to spot, and parking there costs RM10 per day.

We visited Aquaria KLCC on 29 October, myself, my mom, siblings, and their kids. We had a great time overall! The kids were really entertained, and we truly enjoyed the exhibits and the entire walkthrough. Just to share some feedback for future visitors, I noticed on the website it says the elevator is under maintenance until further notice. Since Im not too familiar with the layout, I thought it referred to the escalator near the entrance. We purchased our tickets online through Klook as planned, but upon arrival, the staff kindly explained that the elevator issue meant we would need to use the stairs between floors. Unfortunately, we had strollers with us, and there were no lockers to keep them, so we had to carry them by hand. Not really a big problem, but it would be super helpful if the website announcement included a photo or a short note explaining which elevator is affected, that way, parents or elderly visitors can plan ahead. Also, a huge thank you to the team for their kindness! Especially the lady near the escalator and Danial at the entrance, they were both incredibly helpful and understanding when I accidentally scanned one extra ticket (for my dad who didnt join the trip). They handled it very professionally and made the whole experience smooth. Despite the small inconvenience, we loved our visit and will definitely come back again for the in adventure!
Fitri N — Google review
The aquarium is well organised and clean, with a good flow from one zone to another. The underwater tunnel was the highlight, walking through it while sharks and stingrays glide above is an amazing sight. The staff were friendly and helpful. The environment is fully air-conditioned, which makes it a comfortable stop in the city. It’s also stroller and wheelchair-friendly and easy to access from Suria KLCC or the Convention Centre. It can get a bit crowded during weekends, but visiting early in the day helps. Overall, it’s a great place to learn about marine life and spend about one to two hours in Kuala Lumpur. Definitely worth visiting!

A beautiful experience to see all types of seaside and beautiful fish, along with the walk under the 90m tunnel where you get to experience an unforgettable moment with the amazing underwater sealife. We visited on a Saturday and did not do any prior booking and the process was quite quick. You can also get beautiful souvenirs from the shop to cherish your visit there. Mauritius

The experience was truly worthwhile and will definitely be coming back again! To those who are interested, I recommend going when you or multiple of your family members are celebrating your birthday on that month to get FREE ENTRY. Not just recommended for tourists, but also for locals. The place is undescribable and you'll definitely want to come again after your first visit. Also, best to visit during weekdays because it's always a full house here for sure, especially on the weekends.

The aquarium in the center of Twinter has many uniquely shaped and bold tanks that really caught my attention. You can see impressive fish like Biracle and Villania from various angles, making the whole experience feel like a little adventure. It’s a fun and exciting place, and I truly recommend visiting it.

Flea market
Petaling Street Market, also known as Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, is a vibrant shopping district where vendors haggle over a variety of goods, from clothing to food. The area offers a glimpse into the city's culture and history, with imitation goods and delicious street snacks making it a paradise for bargain hunters. Visitors can explore Kwai Chai Hong, an alley filled with interactive street art pieces and vibrant murals.
It’s called the China town, but most of what is sold is the regular touristy stuff. The street also don’t give a Chinese vibe any more as many modern buildings and reconstruction has changed the outlook. Just a colourful vibrant place to buy some replica stuff. The best part was trying the water melon juice.

Nice to place to purchase knock-off branded bags, apparel, watches etc. Be prepared to bargain a lot. But please be polite and respectful. Avoid going in the mornings as the shops are just opening up and they aren’t much in the mood to bargain. Go there at around 8-9 PM as they’d be more open to bargaining near the closing time. You can also find some nice local eats in the market. Look out for an old guy selling Appam Balik. They looked really good.

And all the fridge magnents, showpiece you will get much cheaper price in here. Buy those things from here only instead of shopping mall, coz u will get same things ij much more lesser in price. ☺☺☺☺☺☺ Many Chinese street food shops were located here.

The Heartbeat of KL's Chinatown 🐉 Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5 - A must-experience, but be prepared for crowds!) Post: A trip to Kuala Lumpur isn't complete without experiencing the vibrant chaos of Petaling Street Market! This iconic covered lane is a sensory overload in the best way possible. What to expect: Bargain Hunter's Paradise: From souvenir t-shirts and handbags to "luxury" watches and quirky trinkets. Remember, haggling is part of the fun! Foodie Heaven: Don't just shop! The main draw for many is the incredible food. Dive into streetside stalls for delicious Hokkien Mee, steaming bowls of beef noodles, fresh fruit, and legendary cendol (shaved ice dessert). Bustling Atmosphere: The energy here is electric. It's loud, crowded, and full of life—a true cultural experience. Pro-Tips: Go in the evening when it's slightly cooler and the lights make the street glow. Keep an eye on your belongings in the crowded lanes. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk slowly with the flow of the crowd. Carry small cash—most vendors don't accept cards. It's not a polished mall experience; it's raw, real, and absolutely unforgettable. A true KL landmark!

Nice place to shop for Malaysian souvenirs or to buy a new luggage or to buy some imitation watches etc. If you are here, try some local Malaysian fruits eg. Durian, or mangosteen and the tau foo fa. Note that you can't bring these fruits back to your hotel as you may have to pay a fine.

Petaling Street Market is the vibrant heartbeat of KL’s Chinatown — a lively maze of stalls where the air buzzes with chatter, sizzling woks, and the scent of street food. Here, you’ll find everything from knock-off handbags and bargain clothes to trinkets, souvenirs, and fresh tropical fruit. The food scene is the real highlight. Iconic street eats like char kuey teow, roasted chestnuts, peanut pancakes, and icy drinks line the path, tempting you at every turn. Bargaining is part of the fun, and shopkeepers are used to a friendly haggle.
Wisanu T — Google review
Petaling Street Market is always full of life! 🌸✨ A great spot if you want to experience the real hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. You can find all kinds of things here, from street food (must-try the char kuey teow, dim sum, and herbal drinks) to souvenirs, clothes, and even hidden cafes in the back lanes. The vibe is busy and crowded, but that’s part of the charm. Bargaining is common, so don’t be shy to negotiate a little. The place is especially lively in the evening with bright lights and the smell of food everywhere. Perfect for tourists who want a taste of Chinatown and for locals who enjoy cheap eats and night vibes. Just remember to keep an eye on your belongings since it’s a popular spot. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting KL!

Madam Kwan's is a renowned restaurant in Kuala Lumpur known for its delicious nasi lemak. With multiple outlets across the city, it's easily accessible from various locations. The signature dish features fragrant coconut rice served with sambal ikan bilis, pork floss, and achara, creating a delightful explosion of flavors.
202509 I had my very first nasi bojari at this restaurant, and it was amazing! The coconut rice was delicious, but what really blew me away was the fried chicken — crispy on the outside and juicy inside. If I ever visit Kuala Lumpur again, I’ll definitely come back to this place.
Weilun Y — Google review
The Madam Kwan’s of today is a far cry from the Madam Kwan’s of yesteryear. What was once a labour of love has morphed into big business - slick, commercial, and impersonal. Her bespectacled cardboard cutout still guards the entrance, but inside, the old warmth and homey charm have given way to digital ordering, assembly-line cooking, and shelves stacked with merchandise - branded snacks, instant sauces, and sambals. At 9 p.m., the dining room is still buzzing, mostly with tourists. We order the classics - Nasi Bojari, Curry Laksa, and Cendol. The dishes arrive not together, but in lonely procession, each 10–15 minutes apart. Was the conveyor belt running on different speeds tonight? The Curry Laksa comes with generous toppings - heaps of vegetables, plump prawns, thick slices of chicken - but the broth tastes oddly flat, processed, like a photocopy of the real thing. The RM30+ Nasi Bojari fares little better. The rice is dry and cold; the beef rendang, though flavourful, is stringy; the sambal prawns, overcooked and rubbery. Only the large chicken leg redeems the plate - hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. The Cendol is… passable. If Madam Kwan herself were here, I suspect she’d be livid. What was once a proud legacy of honest, hearty food now feels like just another money-making machine

It was our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly and the service was great. The portions were quite big, which was a nice surprise. We ordered the Dumpling Soup and Curry Laksa — both were delicious, but my wife and I especially recommend the Dumpling Soup Noodles. Definitely worth a visit! 👍🍜

I'm not a fan of Malaysian local food but maybe it was because I couldn't find a good restaurant. Until today, I randomly chose this one among other options and it turned out unexpectedly delicious. Not enough to WOW but not bad either. Strongly recommended if you want to explore local restaurant. The Char Kuay Teow and Nasi Lamak is great.

The service was impressively fast! we didn’t wait long even though the line was quite busy. The place is cozy with a nice vibe. We tried the Nasi Lemak, which was really delicious. On the other hand, the prawn noodles didn’t suit our taste at all, so we couldn’t enjoy that dish but that might just be a personal preference. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and definitely worth a visit.

This was our second visit to Madam Kwan’s at Pavilion KL, although we didn’t get a chance to review it the first time. This time, it was just my wife and I for dinner. The restaurant was packed, but we were lucky to get a table right away without waiting. We were given a QR code to browse the menu and place our order, with the option to also make payment online, a very convenient system. I decided to try something different and went for the Chili Lala with Coconut Rice, while my wife ordered the Char Kway Teow along with Madam’s Starter for Two. Service-wise, the sequence could have been better. The “starter” came after the main dishes, first the lala, then the coconut rice, and only then the starter, which defeated the purpose a little. Also, the Char Kway Teow seemed to be overlooked; I noticed the dish sitting on the counter until we mentioned it, and it was finally brought over. That said, the food itself did not disappoint. The Chili Lala was excellent and full of flavor, easily the highlight of the meal. My wife didn’t finish her Char Kway Teow, so we asked for it to be packed, it took three requests before someone attended to it, which could be improved. Payment was smooth and efficient through the online system, which we appreciated. Overall, despite the few hiccups in service flow, the food quality was solid and the experience was still enjoyable.

Tang City Food Court

Food court
Tang City Food Court is a bustling hub of Malaysian food culture, offering a wide array of Asian flavors at budget-friendly prices. Located in the heart of Chinatown, it's a popular choice for both locals and tourists. The lively atmosphere and diverse range of hawker stalls make it an ideal spot to experience the local dining scene. While slightly more touristy than other food courts in the area, it remains a fantastic option for a satisfying lunch or casual dinner.
Tang City Food Court, tucked into the heart of Chinatown, serves up a wide variety of Malaysian Chinese hawker fare in a lively, indoor-style setting. With stalls offering char kuey teow, pan mee, claypot dishes, and more, it’s a convenient and flavorful stop—especially if you're exploring Petaling Street. The atmosphere is energetic (some say a bit chaotic), tables are basic plastic, and service is hit-or-miss—but you’ll get your food quickly and the vendors bring it right to your table. Prices lean slightly higher than tucked-away local spots, but still good value considering the central location. If you're after variety and a slice of local dining culture in a sheltered, convenient setup, Tang City is worth the visit. For the best experience, head there during off-peak hours and order popular local dishes. A solid mid-range option for tourists and locals alike.

Tang City food court is more like a large coffee shop with several local food stalls offering some of the best Malaysian Chinese dishes. However, there's a lot of foreigners running the stalls, and I'll avoid those. Usually I eat at the original local stalls like the chee cheong fun and fried koay teow, which is safer in terms of taste.
David J — Google review
Had the porridge, wanton mee and chee cheong fun here and they were good. Came early in the morning so it wasn’t too crowded.

A food court located inside the Jalan Petaling street. Most of the popular and crowded stalls operate from the morning till 1- 2pm. The porridge and Char Kway Tiao stalls were one of those most stalls here. Food court was airy and comfortable for dining in. Good to visit for breakfast.

Have been eating here since young. Good kopi shop with lots of local food stalls. Quality coffee, Curry laksa noodles and char kuey teow were good. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

Very good food, meat, seafood, vegerarian; the place doesn't look expensive but the Chinese restaurant at the back of the foodcourt serves excellent dishes; we particularly appreciated pak choi, tofu and ribs.

Dropped by for coffee after bfast nearby. Coffee is great & staff r friendly. This is a food court w many stalls
WaiTuck C — Google review
Am back, the quality of food here dropped even more. If can, not necessary to come here. If you had to choose, would recommend the stalls with blue plates like the Beef Noodles and Wanton Mee. Those were delicious! Food here is extremely quick and a little bit pricier because of its tourist location! Food was mid, honestly can be better but it was good enough for me!

Fine dining restaurant
Perched on the 38th floor of the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Thirty8 Restaurant, Bar & Lounge offers a stunning panoramic view of the city, including the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. This upmarket venue is renowned for its contemporary international cuisine and impressive selection of main courses such as Australian Black Angus Beef Tenderloin and Wok-Fried Alaskan Cod Fillet. Culinary creativity shines through in their tantalizing appetizers.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thirty8 @ Grand Hyatt KL is that spot you book when you want to impress. The moment you walk in, boom — KLCC right in your face through the windows, and it only gets better once you’re seated. 🌆✨ The vibe is elegant but not stiff, so you still feel comfy while sipping wine and taking it all in. Service was on point — not just the usual “serve and go” type, but the staff actually engage in conversation, which I personally love. Makes the night feel way less boring and way more memorable. Food highlights: the Peri-Peri Chicken (so juicy), the Gruyere Mac & Cheese (pure indulgence), plus fresh sushi and salmon. And yes… we actually enjoyed the salad. A little silly to order at a place like this, but it balanced out the feast perfectly 🥗🤣. Their food does take awhile to be served, but honestly, that’s your excuse to pour another glass of wine and enjoy the view. Pro tip: make a reservation (this place fills up fast!) and go early — traffic around the area can be rough. We were 15 mins late to ours 😅. Our bill was RM921, and for the food, service, great experience and that iconic KLCC as backdrop? I would say, pretty damn worth it! 🤗🤩

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated our 23rd Wedding Anniversary at Thirty8, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and it was truly unforgettable. The food, the view, and the ambience were amazing, but what made the evening so special was the exceptional service from **Nuri**. Nuri was attentive, professional, and incredibly warm, making us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. She added a personal touch that made our anniversary dinner even more memorable. Thank you, Nuri, for going above and beyond — you made our celebration one we will always remember. Highly recommended for anyone looking for not just a fine dining experience, but also heartfelt hospitality. ---

Arguably, the view is to die for! Love seeing KLCC from this high up. Love the hibiscus welcome tea and coffee they served. But honestly, the food was a let down. I expected more from Grand Hyatt 🥲 Everything was too sweet, like made of artificial sweetener. The non-sweet items were just ok, but they were served cold? Not really appetizing to eat... Also was not happy that we booked and emailed right away if they can give us gluten-free items and they confirmed they can accomodate! then when we got there, multiple servers were clueless which food will be ok for my bf. (Celiac) had to bring back food and it felt like they had to improvise on the spot 😭 This didnt instill confidence in us and he ended up just having the teas and some little bites of the items that looks to be gluten free (coconut ice cream was one i think) in order to play safe. We just really expected more from a 5-star hotel like Grand Hyatt knowing that they get visitors worldwide 🥺

I celebrated my father’s birthday at Grand Hyatt Thirty8 last month, and it was an experience our family will treasure forever. From the moment we arrived, the warm ambience, stunning views, and elegant setting instantly made the night feel special. The service was exceptional, attentive, sincere, and full of thoughtful touches, especially towards my father. The staff even surprised him with a sweet birthday gesture that made him feel genuinely celebrated. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and rich in flavour. My father especially loved the steak, which became the highlight of his night. What truly stood out was how personal and heartfelt the whole experience felt. It wasn’t just a dinner, it was a beautifully crafted moment. A big thank you to the team at Thirty8; Chef haqeem, Chef Izzat, Yusuf, Adlina, Mira, Chef Zuhair, Chef bobby, Amir, Jamal, Helmy, Ira, Chef Farid, Chef Aqilah, Chef John & Nurin to your great service. I'm feel very satisfied. We left with full hearts, and we will definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to create unforgettable memories with their loved ones. ❤️🥰🥰🥰

A huge thank-you to the THIRTY8 team at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur — especially Yusuf Jamel Nash Ikhwan, Helmy Adlina Ire Amira — for the warm birthday surprise and handwritten note! Your kindness and attention to detail made the evening truly special. I really appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness — it’s moments like these that make THIRTY8 stand out.

Great place for celebrations, dinner dates, team dinners or simply spending some quality time with friends and family! The USP is the view, it’s exactly opposite to the KLCC towers and you can actually see all the towers as you walk around. Very insta friendly if you love clicking pictures!Ordered the tester menu, food was generous in amount, ideal for 2-3 people at least! Service is slower during rush hour but the staffs are very friendly. The only regret I had is that I didn’t think of takeaway of the dessert rather than wasting it!
Fariha N — Google review
I have dined at Thirty-Eight three times, on different occasions. The first time I liked it, the second time I was not satisfied, the third time it was sublime. They have hired new star chefs and the food was excellent. Every dish ordered was superlative. Attentive service and kindness. I stayed for a special occasion and my guests were enthralled by the wonderful setting, with one of the most beautiful views of KLCC and petronas towers, the food and the service. Definitely worth considering for celebrating special occasions. Their signature cake is also absolutely worth it.

Horizon Grill, situated on the 58th floor of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, offers a romantic and upscale dining experience with breathtaking city night views. The restaurant serves contemporary European cuisine infused with Asian-inspired elements, featuring dishes like seared Atlantic cod and grilled black Angus burger. Whether you're planning a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family, the Gatsby-esque ambiance and rooftop terrace provide an ideal setting.
My BFF hosted her birthday dinner here, and I was honoured to personally decorate the private dining room for the occasion. The food was thoughtfully presented, and each guest’s selection was served accurately. Service throughout the evening was warm and attentive. As night fell, the view grew even more beautiful. We stepped out onto the verandah for some fresh air and photos, which added a special touch to the evening. Overall, a truly lovely and memorable experience.

An outstanding lunch experience with unbeatable views! Set high above the city, Horizon Grill offers a stunning setting with skyline views and a relaxed, elegant vibe. The food is top quality — beautifully presented and full of flavour. From juicy steaks to fresh seafood and refined sides, everything was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent: warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The staff made great recommendations and really added to the overall experience. It’s not just the food — the ambience is what makes this place special. Whether dining indoors or out on the terrace, you’ll get panoramic views of KL’s most iconic landmarks. Overall Experience: Horizon Grill offers a fine dining atmosphere with a stunning city view, especially of the Petronas Towers. The setting feels classy yet comfortable, making it a good spot for a relaxing weekend meal. Food: The Sunday Roast set was beautifully prepared. The starters were fresh and nicely presented, while the seafood bouillabaisse was rich and flavorful. The roast beef was tender and paired well with the sides like potatoes, greens, and Yorkshire pudding. Desserts such as the apple pie with ice cream ended the meal on a sweet note. Service: The staff were polite and attentive, always making sure our table had what we needed. Service felt smooth and professional, adding to the overall experience. Cost: Had the chance to dine in when they still offered this Sunday Roast set, it was a quality meal out for a special occasion, though sadly this set is no longer available now.

Foods are served in slightly lower pace. Maybe they were busy. Main course taste was good. My steak was nicely cook with accurate temperature. Tender and juicy, but sides are just moderate. View from the restaurant were just fantastic. One of the main reason we went there. Staff are attentive and friendly and polite. Price is above average but worth it.

Overall outstanding and a sure place to impress. Impressive views overlooking the KL cityscape packed against a backdrop of mountains in the far out. From certain view points, you are able to capture KL Tower, Merdeka118 and Twin Tower in one glance! Overall a very comfortable environment and food was also great. Both indoor and alfresco dining option available, but given the weather, indoor would be a safer bet.

Came for the buffet breakfast. Personally this is a score for the ambience and service rather food. Selection was little small and they could do a little better with the coffee. The big breakfast didn't look that great. But the french toast was pretty ok to me. Perfect view if you want to see the tallest twin towers in the world.

The Central Market, also known as Pasar Seni, is a significant cultural site in Kuala Lumpur. It has evolved from a traditional wet market into a vibrant destination that reflects Malaysia's diverse cultural influences. The market features distinct sections representing Malay, Indian, and Chinese heritage where visitors can find local products like souvenirs and arts and crafts. Additionally, the upper floor houses a food court offering local delicacies. Outside the market, visitors can enjoy street performances and musical shows.
I have been to many souvenir markets in Asia, but this one was definitely one of the better ones. It is not super huge, but there was a lot of variety, and you can see the creativity of the many different shops offering unique products. There is also a food court with multiple options. Highly recommended!
Fan — Google review
Central Market is a well-known cultural landmark in Kuala Lumpur, offering a glimpse into Malaysia's rich heritage. The building itself is charming, with its Art Deco architecture and air-conditioned interior, making it a comfortable stop during a city tour. Inside, you'll find a variety of shops selling local crafts, souvenirs, and traditional attire. It's a good place to pick up unique gifts or support local artisans. The atmosphere is relaxed compared to other busy markets, providing a more laid-back shopping experience. However, the market can feel a bit commercialized, with many stalls offering similar items. Some visitors might find the selection repetitive or geared more towards tourists. Additionally, the food court, while convenient, doesn't stand out in terms of variety or quality. In summary, Central Market is worth a visit if you're interested in Malaysian culture and crafts, but it might not offer the authentic market experience some travelers are seeking.
Julio P — Google review
Ok this is a tourist trap but not bad value. Use the food court on the first floor but beware the restaurants will charge service fee 10%. Shopping is good and the food stalls outside sell a nice variety. DO NOT take a taxi from here it will be expensive, worst case use grab, the pickup area is marked.

Central Market Pasar Seni is a famous cultural and shopping destination in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It showcases Malaysia’s diverse heritage through its wide range of traditional crafts, artworks, and souvenirs. The market’s interior is clean, organized, and filled with vibrant stalls offering batik clothing, handmade jewelry, wood carvings, and local art pieces. The atmosphere is lively, attracting both tourists and locals who enjoy exploring cultural treasures. Food options are also available, featuring local snacks and drinks that complement the shopping experience. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for experiencing authentic Malaysian culture, craftsmanship, and creativity in one location.
Aminur S — Google review
Nostalgic place and there's a lot of upgrades and improvements in the market and there's also vendors outside the market. Adding a place to eat definitely makes the Central Market more lively. The food was okey and not too pricy. The amount of goodies in the market is unbelievable. Definitely will come again.

Central Market is a must-visit for unique souvenirs and local handicrafts. Clean, well-organized, with a charming heritage vibe. Even I, as a Malaysian, bought a fridge magnet for myself! I usually collect them from other countries when I travel, so it feels right to collect one from my own country too 🥰😍

It’s also a great place to try local snacks and treats, and the staff at the shops are friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping, and soaking in the local culture! A must-visit for anyone wanting a taste of KL’s arts and culture scene!

Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, built in the early 1900s, is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia. It boasts a Moorish architectural style and sits at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, offering stunning views. Once serving as the main mosque in Kuala Lumpur, it has a rich history with famous preachers and religious leaders having attended.
A beautiful mosque. In night it’s even more beautiful with the lighting and smoke effects in river. There is a nice walkway in the back where you can go for an evening walk and get some great pictures. To enter in the mosque basic dress code is required for a religious place and females need to cover their head.

One other oldest Mosque in KL. Just next to Majid Jamek MRT/LRT station. Or 5 minutes walk from Pasar Seni. Beware of dress code and visiting hours for non Muslim visitors. No plan to enter. It's a beautiful Mosque beside the River of Life. Blue light is on along the river after evening. Probably having smoke effect at night. More attractive.

The Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque (Masjid Jamek) is highly recommended as a must-visit attraction in Kuala Lumpur, especially if you are interested in history, architecture, or cultural landmarks. - no admission fee Warning: Be mindful!!!, you should avoid prayer times, especially on Fridays and religious holidays, as they are closed to tourists.

Serene place to pray. However, it feels a bit of a hassle that I need to cross an open area after taking ablution. Aside from that, a great mosque with an interesting history. I love the comic infographic at the front of the mosque!
Rei — Google review
We visited the Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque with our kids, on a sunny afternoon, and it was such a beautiful experience. Built in 1909, this mosque stands at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers — the exact spot where Kuala Lumpur was founded in the 1850s. In the early days, this location was the heart of the growing settlement, making the mosque not only a place of worship but also a landmark of the city’s origins. It’s one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur and was the main place of prayer until the National Mosque was built. The architecture is absolutely captivating — a graceful blend of Moorish, Mughal, and Indo-Saracenic styles, with elegant domes, arches, and minarets that seem to whisper stories from over a century ago. We spent about 30 minutes there, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, which made it a lovely break from the city’s buzz. Even the kids enjoyed exploring and asking questions about its history. The staff were very welcoming and kind, making the visit even more memorable. A special place that feels full of history and heart. Tip: Modest dress is required, but robes and headscarves are provided for visitors if needed.
Purple K — Google review
A banal mosque. It has nothing out of the ordinary, it is not very big, it does not have tall minarets, it does not have extraordinary architecture. You need 15-20 minutes for a visit.

I’m a believer in Tauhid — to me, everything in life has already been beautifully written. That’s why when I feel it’s time to buy a house, I’ll buy. When my heart tells me to change a job, I’ll change. All of it is already recorded by Allah in Lauhul Mahfuz. What I can do is align myself with His plan — through praying, praying, and praying again, while taking action with faith. I’ve had the choice to break free from loneliness long ago, but Allah whispered to me, “Not yet… your moment will come. She — your true love — will arrive exactly at the time I choose.” And now, standing here, I know that moment has finally arrived. I'll turn these gemstones into a beautiful necklace. ✨

KL Bird Park is a 173-acre paradise in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, featuring thousands of colorful birds in free-roaming areas, walk-through aviaries, and traditional enclosures. It is part of the Perdana Botanical Gardens and offers various attractions such as the Orchid Garden, Deer Park, Butterfly Park, and Islamic Art Museum.
It was such a nice experience being here. For those with kids, I really recommend bringing them along, they’ll have lots of fun activities to do and get to see so many different bird species. Just a heads up, parking can be a bit tricky if you arrive after 10 am. The staff are super friendly and helpful 👍🏼 and there are two gift shops, one at the entrance and another inside the bird park 👍🏼

It's one of the world biggest aviary as per their claim. Having a good variety of species. Flamingos and peacocks are the major attractions. Nothing like a magnificent spot that you should not miss. If you are visiting KL with Kids you can consider spending 1 hour here. It is difficult to walk through the park during summer in KL due to extreme hot weather.
Ebin J — Google review
We visited the bird park on a weekend and encountered very moderate crowds. The park is spacious enough to accommodate a lot of visitors, so I’d come back on a weekend as well. Please note that you’re not allowed to bring food into the park. Anything larger than a small bag pack may trigger a conversation with the security guard at the entrance gate as well. After a brief discussion, we were asked to bring the water we just bought at the kiosk at the entrance into the park. Please note that these restrictions are in place to protect the wildlife in the park. In the past, too many morons have fed them things that made birds severely sick or even killed them. The park is very well walkable with a stroller, with a few steps that may force you to take a detour. Please note that there are inclines, though. So if you’re pushing a wheelchair better have a good breakfast… The bird show at 10:30 am and 15:00 pm is worth watching. Very entertaining, not too long, and with some nice tricks to be shown. There are other events scheduled every day, so please check their latest event time table to not miss out on interesting events.

My mum and I are visiting from Australia, and since she absolutely loves birds, I had to bring her to KL Bird Park and we’re so glad we came! We both loved it. It was quite a hot day during our visit, and there isn’t much shade around, so we took a few breaks to sit down and rest, but that didn’t take away from the experience. There are so many incredible birds to see here, you could easily spend around 3 hours exploring. You can watch my POV experience video below, see @bhav.xo for more Our favourite part was definitely the parrot area! We both dressed in bright, colourful outfits, which I highly recommend doing, it makes the experience even more fun when the parrots fly over to you. Feeding them was such a highlight; they sit on your arms, shoulders, and even your head! It’s completely safe, and their claws didn’t damage our clothes at all. The entire park is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were all so kind and welcoming. It also wasn’t as crowded as I expected, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I honestly wish more people would visit, it’s such a beautiful, peaceful, and interactive place to connect with nature. Overall, KL Bird Park is a must-visit in Kuala Lumpur, especially if you love animals or want a unique, wholesome experience to share with family.

Visiting Birb Park feels like stepping into a living orchestra of birds. As soon as i enter, i’re greeted by the sound of soft coos, bright tweets, and the occasional squawk from a bold parrot. The park’s paths wind through shaded trees and open ponds, where ducks glide lazily across the water and tiny finches dart between branches. People stroll quietly, some with cameras, others just sitting on benches watching the “birds” go about their day. There’s a sense of calm connection — a reminder that nature’s beauty is often small, fast-moving, and full of personality.
Gobi N — Google review
Had a 3 hours visiting the bird park. It is very spacious and has a big open area for most birds like pheasants, doves and pidgeons. There are little shops for refreshment within the park and clean toilets. It’s only 4 stars since some of the cages for certain birds are really small and in my opinion not really big enough or fit for the birds living in them. Also there was an eagle but it was bound to a pole and basically couldn’t move or fly at all which is quite sad.
Wai C — Google review
Excellent visit. Good for both children and elders... Over 3000 varities of birds are there as per their information. We can see plenty of Peacocks walking around freely, sometimes near us. Please play safely and keep the area and environment clean.

Our visit to Kuala Lumpur Bird Park was a wonderful first-time experience! It’s the first bird park we’ve been to where you can walk right alongside so many different bird species, from vibrant parrots to majestic peacocks. The highlight was definitely the bird show — watching the parrots and the eagle in action was fascinating for both us and the kids. We also learned so much through the various information spots around the park, offering insights about birds’ legs, feathers, and habits. We spent three marvelous hours exploring, and while the tickets are a bit on the expensive side, the experience is absolutely worth it. Tip: Bring hats, drinks, sunscreen, and a few snacks for the kids to make the day even more enjoyable.

It can accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers and features a main prayer hall adorned with intricate Quranic verses. The mosque's main dome represents Malaysia's states and the five pillars of Islam. Its 73m-high minaret, beautiful gardens, marble pools, fountains, and vibrant tiles add to its allure.
I was truly impressed by how clean, well organized, and beautifully maintained the National Mosque is. Everything felt calm and peaceful, The architecture reflects the timeless beauty of Islamic mosques, with a unique modern twist. The striking blue umbrella shaped dome is unlike any other, A truly welcoming and inspiring place to visit. 🕌✨

A stunning mosque in the heart of Kuala Lumpur 🕌✨, just a short walk from the Islamic Arts Museum - definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! What makes this place even more special, aside from its gorgeous architecture, is the warm hospitality. Friendly ladies are on-site to welcome visitors and are happy to share insights about Islam. Whether you're Muslim or not, you'll feel genuinely welcomed. The interior is absolutely breathtaking - the attention to detail and intricate designs are just chef’s kiss 😍. It’s not just a place of worship, but also a peaceful cultural experience. A must-visit if you’re curious about Islamic architecture and history in Malaysia!

Its an iconic Mosque in KL which i saw from old post cards from 60s to 70s. The place is huge, entrance is free, just follow the directionsal arrows, if available a guide can accompany you thru out the rout. An Islamic volunteer also gives out free Quran and answers questions about Islam.

The mosque is big. It has a beautiful design. The mosque halls are cool and the inside has an air conditioner. The mosque is open for tourists and has a free body cover for tourists to be able to get inside the mosque. However, tourists has a limited area to explore the mosque. The mosque also sell souvenirs in the halls For muslims looking for a place to pray and rest will not exactly have a calm environment.

Visiting the National Mosque (Masjid Negara) in Kuala Lumpur was an unforgettable experience. The architecture is truly stunning — a perfect blend of modern design and Islamic heritage — and every detail, from the sweeping roof to the elegant minaret, is breathtaking. The people there were incredibly welcoming, making the visit feel warm and inviting. Stepping inside was just as impressive as admiring it from the outside. The serene atmosphere brings a sense of relief and soulfulness, creating a peaceful space for reflection. Our kids were also fascinated and happy to explore, making it a wonderful family experience. Tip: Check the visiting hours in advance, as there are specific times for tourists around prayer sessions. Dress modestly for the visit — if you forget, the mosque provides appropriate clothing to ensure respectful attire. A must-visit landmark in Kuala Lumpur, whether for its beauty, cultural significance, or the calm it inspires.

When visiting inside, not much view or architecture to see. Just the praying place is big with high roof and decorated. Good and helpful guards.

My wife and I visited Masjid Negara during our time in KL and we really enjoyed the experience. If you’re planning to check out a few landmarks in the city, I’d definitely recommend adding this to your list—it doesn’t take too long and is absolutely worth seeing. The mosque is very spacious and beautifully designed, with a nice mix of modern and traditional architecture. The open layout and high ceilings made it feel really peaceful, even in the middle of a busy city. We were able to walk through most of the public areas, and everything was very clean and well-kept. Offering prayer here as a Muslim was refreshing considering how hectic our schedule was for our trip. I could spend hours in here just sitting and observing the architecture and walking around the area. NOTE: We visited during noon and had no trouble getting in. Non-Muslim visitors are given robes if needed, and the staff were welcoming and respectful. Just be sure to dress modestly and bring water—it can still get pretty hot even with the shade! There is no fee to enter the mosque!

Merdeka Square, the main square in Kuala Lumpur, holds historical significance as the site where Malaya declared independence from colonial rule in 1957. The square features a 95m flagpole marking the spot of the first Malayan flag-raising and is now home to the national day parade held annually at the end of August. The area includes the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and a large field, offering a picturesque setting for visitors to stroll and take photos.
PARKING TIPS: I visited Merdeka Square during the Merdeka Night Festival and it was an unforgettable experience. Parking is normally affordable in the one level basement directly under the square and you can climb the stairs up easily. During the festival, only vendors were allowed to park there, so I left my car at Rumah Tangsi next to Bank Rakyat. It was very convenient and only a short walking distance to the square on event days. The square is well maintained with a large open field that many Malaysian families use for picnics, games with children and enjoying the outdoors. It is also a popular spot for tourists, so expect it to be more packed on weekend evenings. The food during the event was excellent, served from food trucks with many different choices. Portions were satisfying and the variety made it enjoyable for everyone. On most weekends there are events or activities happening here, so there is often something special to try. The atmosphere at night is lively, with bright lights, music and people creating a festive mood. Entry is free and that makes it even better. Crowds and traffic are heavier on weekends, but it adds to the city experience. Merdeka Square is open all day and night. PARKING INFO ADDED The best time to visit is in the evening when the surrounding heritage buildings, especially the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, are beautifully lit up. Tip for visitors: bring a picnic mat so you can sit comfortably on the grass and enjoy the view.

Best time to visit: early morning or evening. Don't go here when the sun is up because you will get sunburned. Filipinos say, it is hot in the Philippines but in Malaysia, it is burning/scorching hot, like the sun rays are pricking through your skin, it hurts. What you can see here: There's a fountain at one end where the Merdaka signange is. On the other end is their flag. Right in the middle is a big open space with grass, yes just grass. When you are at the end where the flag is, you get to see the Petronas Towers and KL tower in one frame. However, the view is not great at the time we were there (26 Sept 2025) because there's construction/repairs being done to the building with clock (I think, not sure though, it was the train station). There's an Anglican church at one side. We were not able roam around because it is really hot, the umbrella didn't help. How to get there: Grab. Rates can be low or twice even thrice as high when there's surge. Is this a must visit: if you only have the time to visit ONE place in Malaysia, go visit the Petronas Towers at night, go to the side of Suria KLCC/Mandarin Hotel, where the fountains are, they have fountain light/music show at night.

It's an open area with a central field surrounded by many old architectural buildings. Malaysian flag posts are placed all around. There are paid parking facilities and public restrooms available. The spot offers plenty of photo opportunities, with benches and lawns where you can sit and relax. It's also surrounded by many skyscrapers, creating a striking contrast. A great place to visit in the morning or evening. There’s no entry fee, and it’s open at all times.

Merdeka Square is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic and historically important landmarks. This is the exact spot where Malaysia declared its independence in 1957, and you can still feel the weight of history when standing on its vast open field. The square is surrounded by beautiful colonial-era buildings, the most famous being the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Currently, it’s worth noting that the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is undergoing renovation, so parts of its facade are covered and may not look as photogenic as usual. Still, its impressive architecture is visible, and the area remains a key highlight of the square. The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon. Mornings are perfect for avoiding crowds and capturing clean, wide shots. In the evening, the surrounding buildings light up beautifully, and the square feels more lively. Keep in mind there’s little shade, so bring sunscreen or a hat, as the midday heat can be intense. Nearby attractions include the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery (great for a quick history lesson and photo ops), the River of Life (just a short walk away and especially beautiful at night), and Masjid Jamek, one of the city’s oldest mosques. Tips for visitors: • Visit early in the morning for the best photo opportunities without people. • Bring water and sun protection — shade is limited. • Check out the River of Life and City Gallery while you’re here. • If you’re interested in history, reading about Malaysian independence before visiting makes the experience richer.

Dataran Merdeka Square is a wonderful place to visit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It’s a spacious open area with a large central field surrounded by many beautiful and historic architectural buildings that reflect the city’s colonial past. It is also regarded as one of Kuala Lumpur’s most significant historical landmarks, where Malaysia’s independence was first declared. The area feels vibrant yet peaceful, making it a perfect spot to stroll around, take photos, and admire the surrounding architecture. I visited with my family, and we truly enjoyed our time exploring this iconic square and learning about its rich history. It’s definitely a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Kuala Lumpur!

Do not come here after 11 AM, it is so hot ! Humid to the max. The architecture is so great but still on progress for maintainance. Take pictures around the square and old building are good option as a tourist activity lol

Here’s a polished English translation of your passage, keeping both the poetic tone and cultural depth intact: At the very heart of the Malay Peninsula, where the Klang and Gombak rivers converge, stands a city once bestowed with the name “Kuala Lumpur,” meaning muddy river mouth in Malay. Today, it flourishes in dazzling brilliance as one of Southeast Asia’s most exhilarating cosmopolitan capitals. Lifting your gaze, the Petronas Twin Towers pierce the tropical skies with their commanding height and striking Islamic geometric design—an unmistakable icon and the shining face of Kuala Lumpur. At their feet lies the bustling Golden Triangle, where international brands and the latest trends converge, a stage for the city’s modernity and vibrant energy. Yet Kuala Lumpur’s allure extends far beyond its towering skyline. Step into the winding streets of the old quarter, and the whispers of history replace the roar of skyscrapers. At Merdeka Square, a lush green lawn still echoes with the exhilaration of that pivotal moment in 1957, when the Union Jack was lowered and Malaysia’s flag rose proudly for the first time. The Moorish-style Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the stately Masjid Jamek mosque stand as elegant reminders of the colonial era, gazing across the river at modern structures and creating a captivating dialogue between past and present. What makes Kuala Lumpur most enchanting is its vibrant multicultural soul. Malays, Chinese, and Indians—alongside dozens of other ethnic groups—blend like vivid strokes of color on a vast canvas, coexisting and thriving together in this city of endless diversity.

Kedai Kopi Lai Foong, a traditional Malay-Chinese coffee shop, may seem unassuming but is renowned for its freshly prepared, cooked-to-order noodles. Established in 1956 and still operated by the same family after three generations, this hawker-style joint is located just a short walk from Petaling and Central Market. The vibrant sorbet-colored facade and perpetual line of customers are telltale signs that you've found the right place.
In the heart of KL, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there lies a coffee shop that has served the city folks for years. This coffee shop is none other than Lai Foong. When you come to Lai Foong, you come to taste especially three different Yummylicious shockalingam slurpylicious delicacies. The three are fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork). If your stomach can whack all three: fried kueh teow, beef noodles and roast pork with siew yoke (braised pork), you would have savoured the essential essence of Lai Foong coffee shop. Each delicacy on its own is already mouth watering, so imagine attempting the treble.

The famous Lai Foong lala soup noodles is very popular at this shop. Long wait during weekend. I recommend you seat at the immediate side of the shop rather than the corner which is really cramp. The noodle is good and of my liking. Due to the crowds, you can't really sit too long although I really wish to do so. Many local and tourist will come here.

Ordered beef noodle soup, actually quite good, just take note that the small size (RM14) only applicable for beef ball noodle, the other options start from regular size which is RM17 (Sep 25). The shop assistant didn’t explained clearly upon ordering, only can verified after food delivery. The soup base is more heavy taste, but interesting and nice.

Had a Nyonya chicken curry with rice and fried egg. The curry profile is actually good, but the chicken has been cut too finely to the point that it felt like minced chicken, and there's no bone in it which seems such a waste. Heard good reviews about this place, so hoping other dishes would come out better. Note: you need to pay cash per dish and drink once it is served to you at the table.

Many stalls here selling food like hot cakes, mu favourite mix beef noodles. Portion big and ingredients so tasty and value for money. 2 bowls for RM34. Then Penang prawn Mee, Fried Kway Teow, pastry, time sum roast meat and very good Kopi and Kopi O. No Aircon but also not hot within premises.

Came here for the pastries. Aunty is very nice & friendly. Approach very sweetly. I like to buy from people with good hospitality, not the type that will throw the menu on my table & just point. So I recommend to get her pastries. Her egg tart is good. The custard is lightly sweet & savory. Worth a try 😉 Very affordable pricing.

Chinese noodle restaurant
Soong Kee Beef Noodles & Low Yau Kee Porridge is a long-standing establishment that has been serving up delicious beef noodles for almost eight decades. The third-generation restaurant offers a choice between dry or soup-based noodles, with the classic being thin, springy egg noodles topped with choy sum and a signature braised minced beef sauce. Additionally, they offer sides such as beef ball soup, sliced beef soup, or mixed soup.
This legendary beef noodle shop has been serving customers here for decades. Their signature dry beef noodles remain the best after all these years. Now they have added poached chicken as part of their menu. Parking can be difficult during office hours, but it’s definitely a must-try spot when you’re in Kuala Lumpur. Prices are also very reasonable!

Came here as it was just by our hotel. As it was quite late (just past 8pm), many things were already sold out. Thankfully, the Chicken Porridge was still available. The chicken was very smooth and tender, although it was a bit salty. However it really complemented the porridge very well. Definitely worth checking out if you're around the area!

Tried this long standing place. The mixed noodles had a unique taste but the beef balls left a strange aftertaste, like they had too much MSG or even borax 😭😭😭, making it unpleasant to eat. Although the place is always crowded, the service is very quick 🙏 .

🥤 D1 Herbal Tea (Ice, No Sugar) = RM2.80 🐟 A10 Raw Fish Slices = RM9.00 🐮🍜 BS4 Beef Sliced, Beef Ball Noodle (Small, Kuey Teow) = RM12.00 SST 6% = RM1.43 This place is located relatively near to Petaling Street Chinatown, 🛍️ so if you are already near that area, you can swing by to check it out. Although a Kopitiam, I was surprised to find it Air-Conditioned. ❄️ From the Signboard, it looks like it has been around since 1945? 😳 Wow this Restoran has been around for 80 years!? 😳 As I stepped in, I don't know why but something about this place gives me a Very HK Cha Chaan Ting type of Vibe. 🇭🇰😅 Maybe because all the Customers were conversing in Canto? 🗣️ There were a Few Customers and isn't Crowded on a Monday Afternoon. Staffs are mostly Myanmar Folks. They are Friendly, Polite and mostly keep to themselves. Having said that, they aren't good in English and this probably resulted in a Slight Mistake that was committed as you will read later. 🤔 Anyway, it took 1 MIn for the 🐟 Raw Fish, 2 Mins for their 🥤 Herbal Tea, and 3 Mins for the 🐮🍜 Beef Noodles. Everything was served up within 3 Mins. 🥤 D1 Herbal Tea (Ice, No Sugar) = RM2.80 🐟 A10 Raw Fish Slices = RM9.00 🐮🍜 BS4 Beef Sliced, Beef Ball Noodle (Small, Kuey Teow) = RM12.00 Due to Text Limit Constraints, I won't go into details describing every Ingredient here. If you are interested to know more, come visit my Facebook Food Blog: "A Solo Singaporean's Guide to JB Foods (And More!)" to view the Full Review with Photos. Conclusion and Closing Thoughts At the Price of RM2.80 (S$0.90) for this Cup of Cold 罗汉果 Monkfruit Herbal Tea, 🥤 it was an Affordable Price although also Nothing Particularly Special. Decent and Not Overly Diluted. It is what it is. 🤔 At the Price of RM9.00 (S$2.80) for this Plate of 10 Slices of Raw Fish 🐟 I dunno how to feel about it. On one hand, I am Culinarily Impressed because it is the First Time I'm seeing Raw Fish Sashimi being doused in an Oil Mix like this. 🐟🍯 On the Other Hand, this Technique itself also tells me it is also another Way to be able to mask and sell "Less-Than-Fresh" Raw Fish. 🐟🤔 Also as someone who prefers the Original Taste of a Fish/Meat, this style of Preparation is not something I would really go for. 🤔 I also feel the Slices of this Raw Fish is a Tad Too Thin tbh, although again I am impressed if this is cut without the use of any Special Tools. 🔪 At the Price of RM12.00 (S$3.70) is an Affordable Price for this 🐮🍜 Beef Noodle. The Amount of Ingredients given are Acceptable and Filling but this Dish really doesn't taste like a Conventional Beef Noodle that you may be familiar with. 🤔 Eating this feels more like eating a Lightly Braised version of WTM. 🍜😅 I thought the Main Taste Profile has a Somewhat "Single Tone" Braised Taste. 🤔 Adding Chilli will help spice it up a little. 🌶️ I wish they replace that Chye Sim with 酸菜 Mustard Green instead to further jazz it up. 🤔 Pairing the 🐟 Raw Fish Slices with this 🐮🍜 Beef Noodles was indeed an Unusual Combination. What you get in addition to the Already Unconventional Braised WTM sort of taste is a Hit of Sesame Shallot Oil Mix. 🍯 This Dish really has a Unique Taste that I've never tasted anywhere else. 🤔 I can't say I'm really enamoured or really enjoyed it, but its the Culinary Aspect of this Dish that intrigued me more. 🤔 Alot of things that is done in this Beef Noodles is not something that is done in other Beef Noodles. 🐮🍜 Heck if they are able to stay in Business for 80 Years since 1945, they are obviously doing something right. 👍 If you are near the Petaling Street Area and is open to try a Very Unique Tasting 80 Years Old style of Beef Noodles 🐮🍜 that really doesn't taste like Conventional Modern Beef Noodles, I can definitely recommend this to give it a try. 👍 Thanks for Reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Soong Kee Beef Noodle has been my go-to comfort food for years. The noodles are springy, the beef is tender, and the soup is rich with flavor — every bowl tastes like tradition passed down since 1945. Truly one of KL’s timeless food gems. Highly recommended!

Sushi restaurant
Authentic Japanese restaurant
SUSHI TAKA is a top contender for the best sushi in Kuala Lumpur, brought to you by Tokyo's 3-Michelin starred Sushi Saito. Executive Chef Satoshi Uehara, known for his mastery of beef, offers beautifully marbled premium Ozaki beef alongside servings of fresh wild seafood like rockfish, Japanese pen shell, and bluefin tuna.
Visited Sushi Taka and finally got to try their renowned sushi—and wow, it did not disappoint! While the prices lean toward the higher end, every bite was worth it. The freshness of the fish was unparalleled, as if it had just leapt out of the ocean. Honorable mentions: Grilled Cherry Salmon (Sakuramasu Yuanyaki): So soft and silky, it practically melts in your mouth. Sea Urchin (Uni): Incredibly creamy with no hint of fishiness—a true delight. Sea Eel (Anago): So tender, it fell apart strand by strand with each bite. I was seated near the chef’s station, watching every sushi masterpiece come to life—superb! To top it all off, the staff surprised me with a cake for my birthday! The team was warm, and the chef kept us entertained throughout the meal. An unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyable dining experience!

The intimate counter seating allows you to appreciate the chef’s skill and artistry up close. Highlights included the buttery otoro, delicate uni, and perfectly seasoned rice. Service is impeccable, creating a truly refined and memorable dining experience. A must-visit for sushi lovers seeking top-tier Japanese cuisine in KL!

Fantastic service. The server really came through when when I told her really last minute that we were actually celebrating something and managed to come up with a nice dessert! It's been more than a week since we visited and my elderly relatives enjoyed it so much they are still talking about it. I didn't get the omakase so can't comment on that, but anyone who can eat beef should order the beef sets. It's truly very tender and melt in your mouth. There was a fairly picky eater in my group and he said it was the best beef he's ever had.

Had a great time today enjoy the Ushi Omakase. Ordered Ushi Special Omakase with 10 courses. Price 1400rm quite pricey but its worth the taste and quality of the ingredients. The seafood all so fresh the meat so so tender. Almost every course by course i really enjoy the taste and flavor. I will get back for sure in the future. All service really pleasing. The head chef also really nice with lot of experience ^^ really enjoy this nice nice food with Ushi. Its in lv 3A inside the st regis KL.

I lived in the St Regis and was lucky to get reservations at this restaurant at a short notice. Chef Yazawa’s attention to detail and preparation of food are mesmerizing and admirable. The sushi is top notch and on par with high end sushi in Japan. If you are craving quality sushi and Japanese renown service without going to Japan, this is the place to be. I chose the Omakase option, for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend going for the Hana and Tsuki omakase. The Tsuki has a delicious seafood rice bowl as one of my favorites and the Hana has the delicious pufferfish Milt.

Walked in without any reservations. Food was alright but too expensive as most items just felt plain. Price will have been justifable if there were more beef items though. Surprisingly, the cooked fish was the best item. Servie felt rushed.

A very atas experience. A few items were very good, some are ok, a couple not so good. The beef could be chewy, the truffle had no aroma. It's a small room setting, with waiters milling around. All food were prepared in front of the patrons. It got a bit warm half way through the meal.
Kiat N — Google review
My experience at sushi Taka,a Michelin two-star establishment, was incredibly disappointing. We paid 5500 RM for an Omakase experience for three, expecting culinary excellence. However, the food was average at best, not justifying the steep price tag. Hygiene was also a major concern, with flying bugs present and one found in our sake. The staff then scooped out the bug and returned the contaminated sake to us. The manager's dismissive attitude towards our concerns further marred our visit. Overall, a regrettable experience that fell far short of expectations for a Michelin-rated restaurant. You can see another bug on the wasabi and all the chef and staff just ignored us when we informed them of it

Cafe ETC is a popular dining spot in Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown, conveniently located near the city's oldest Hindu temple. The cafe offers a diverse menu featuring Asian, Western, and Italian cuisine. Its modern air-conditioned interior provides a comfortable setting for patrons to unwind and savor their meals. The cafe's unassuming white walls contrast with the grandeur of three large arched windows on the second floor, creating an ambiance reminiscent of ancient Greek architecture.
Really enjoyed my visit here! The food and service were both really good, especially considering the base price for a meal is around RM20 — great value for money. The café has an old-school, rustic vibe that gives it a unique charm. Perfect spot to chill and enjoy a good meal. Will definitely come again!

the food here was so good. i ordered salmon creamy pasta (?), i think so. the portion for the food was good enough that can fill up my hungry stomach. and the price kind of impressed me, because it is really affordable. not to pricey, and kind of cheap to me. for the taste and the portion, i do think the price is really reasonable. the service there is fast, the staff there was so friendly to us. even though there were so many people at the time, the waiting time for the food there, is faster than i expected. the atmosphere there was good and kind of chill if you’re not going there in the peak hours. but overall, i do love this place and their foods.

I tried their famous mushroom beef burger and it was really good! Bread is really buttery, burger was big and the fries was good but a bit too salty for me. My only complaint is the plate needs to be bigger since it can be messy to eat the burger. Will definitely come here again and try other menus! For the drink, I ordered lychee and it was good too.

I've eaten here a few times with my uni friends for lunch, and it's quickly become our go-to spot. The lunch set is super affordable — perfect for students — and the location is really convenient, just a short walk from the Pasar Seni LRT station. The food? Absolutely delicious. Some dishes are mindblowingly good, especially considering the price. I'm actually on a mission to try every dish on the menu, and I'm almost there! The staff are friendly and efficient, always quick to make space for new customers. Overall, this place has earned a permanent spot in our hearts — and I don’t think that’s changing anytime soon.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Mid Valley Megamall is a shopper's paradise that offers a diverse range of retail experiences. It houses over 400 retailers in twelve categories, including fashion, lifestyle, home furnishings, cosmetics, and healthcare essentials. This mall is not just for shopping; it also features dining options and entertainment facilities like an 18-screen cinema. Located between the city center and Klang Valley, it is part of a large urban development project that includes office blocks and hotels.
My family finds Mid Valley Megamall a convenient spot for our diverse needs. We appreciate the wide array of shops, catering to both our teenager's fashion interests and my spouse's electronics hunt. The food options are plentiful, making it easy to find something everyone likes for lunch. While it can get crowded, especially on weekends, the ample parking helps. What other Google reviews says: for Mid Valley Megamall frequently mention its vast size and extensive selection of retail stores, covering fashion, electronics, and more. The diverse food and beverage options are often highlighted as a major draw. Many reviewers comment on its crowded nature, particularly during peak hours, but also appreciate the good accessibility and parking facilities. Some reviews also note the presence of a cinema and other entertainment options.

Its a big shopping centre located at Mid valley. Many food options and famous brands retail shops. There Cinema, Bowling Alley. There also Aeon shopping within. Easy connection from LRT/KTM toward the mall. Good to spend some good hours inside the mall.

Midvalley Megamall is one of the most popular shopping malls and centers in KL. It's a little bit far away from the exact central areas of KL, but it's still easily accessible via taxi and theprerty good KL LRT system. There is a large number of, especially branded shops and items for sale. There is a plentiful food court, with lots of varieties and options, including halal food even. The toilets are well maintained and clean, and the facilities were great. As we went in December, we could see a lot of the Christmas decorations, which were plentiful. Overall, I greatly enjoyed visiting the midvalley megamall and I highly recommend others to also visit during their trips to KL.

It is a huge shopping mall in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It sits at the entrance of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. It was opened in 1999. It comprises a shopping mall, an office tower block, 30 offices, and three hotels. You can get here by public transport or drive here. There is no light rail station at the mall but you can get to the nearest station and then take the courtesy shuttle to the mall. Very popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Keep an eye on your valuables. Lots of walking over several floors, though under shade and air conditioning. Toilets available. Huge number of cafes and restaurants available. Gets very crowded at peak hours so advisable to go there before noon. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Gift/souvenir shops available. Wear comfy shoes, take water. Parking is not easy during peak hours. We normally take the taxi or grab service. Getting public transport out of here can be tricky during peak hours as you have to wait.

Midvalley Megamall is a place of creating memories and childhood.. I've shop here since 2011 when I was 2 y/o.. Toyrus in level 1 is my most visited place during that time.. Back then, little penang cafe still operating and it was my favourite restaurant as I loves the cousines. However, since 2023 it was permanently closed.. Overall, Midvalley Megamall is a the best mall in the heart of Klang Valley.

I recommend this to visit atleast one time😋. It is very long in which we can find all the stores. I think most of the brands which we look for is avilable here. Count of the cinema theatre is high in this mall i checked. No tamil movies will run in this mall. Quit expensive things which are selling inside the mall. 🙏🏼 i done only window shopping . If guys want to buy something pls buy it . Thats all about this mall. Inside this no metro station available . For metro u have to cross the the mall , then hav to cross the road , then cross 2 building , then another mall , then only statio will come 😆😆😆

Thean Hou Temple, also known as the Temple of the Goddess of Heaven, is a magnificent six-tiered Buddhist temple that opened in 1989. Located on a hill overlooking lush surroundings, it can be reached from KL Sentral Station by foot or taxi. This Chinese-style temple beautifully combines contemporary and traditional elements of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
The temple is incredible!!! definitely worth a visit, especially on the weekend. It’s spotless, welcoming to tourists, and perfect for snapping Instagram-worthy shots. Getting there is easiest with Grab, but if you don’t mind a short walk, the train is also an option. I went on a Wednesday, and it was pretty quiet, which made the atmosphere feel extra calm and peaceful. When it comes to the dress code, modesty is important. Women should avoid revealing clothes, but a light scarf works great if you want to cover up quickly. Long skirts or dresses are ideal, while men are fine wearing shorts. One of the highlights was catching the sunset from the temple. I only got to see it for a brief moment, but it was absolutely magical. Other than that, the whole environment feels serene, peaceful, and just really chill—a perfect place to sit back, soak it all in, and enjoy the calm.

Amazing place to visit and it's very huge and popular in Kaulalmpur. In entrance it has all the animals which is related to the year and what is the significance and which year. Temple is in the 2nd floor and it has 3 deities. The Thean Hou Temple is a six-tiered temple of the Chinese sea goddess Mazu located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The temple was built by Hainanese living in Malaysia It is one of the largest temples in Southeast Asia.its a worth visit. And you find peace over there. There is a tradition where you can check the prediction.

Perched majestically on a hill in Kuala Lumpur, the Thean Hou Temple is a stunning six-tiered Chinese temple and a serene escape from the city's buzz. As one of Southeast Asia's largest, it is dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu but also venerates Guan Yin and the Goddess of the Waterfront. Visitors are immediately struck by its grand, multi-level architecture, featuring intricate carvings, vibrant red pillars, and ornate dragons and phoenixes that create a photographer's paradise even before stepping inside. The experience within is equally rich. The main prayer hall is a tranquil space filled with the scent of incense, where devotees pray for blessings and good fortune. Don't miss the lower-level garden, home to a tranquil Tortoise Pond, where you can feed these long-lived creatures considered symbols of luck. However, the true highlight for many is the breathtaking panoramic balcony, which offers one of Kuala Lumpur's best free viewpoints, perfectly framing the KL Tower and city skyline. The temple is not only a tourist attraction but a vibrant cultural hub. It's a licensed marriage registry, and you might be fortunate to witness a beautiful traditional Chinese wedding during your visit. For an even more immersive experience, try to coincide your trip with major festivals like Chinese New Year, when the complex is spectacularly adorned with thousands of glowing red lanterns. Essential Visitor Info: Thean Hou Temple is open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM and is free to enter. It's easily reached via a short Grab ride. Remember to dress respectfully by covering your shoulders and knees, and wear comfortable shoes for exploring its multiple levels. Whether you seek spiritual solace, cultural insight, or that perfect city photo, this temple delivers an unforgettable experience.

Definitely a beautiful place to visit. Very much a place where many Chinese go for their wedding certificate and ceremony. Several weddings going on. The temple portion had hundred of worshippers and very busy. You must take off your shoes to go in the temple portion. The statues of many famous Chinese revered men are there with their stories on plaques that were amazing and a must read when there. You could miss it if you don’t explore the outside grounds around the temple.

Very beautiful and interesting. Here you can pray and ask for fortune. Beautiful architecture and hung with many lanterns. I saw families taking wedding photos here too. Should go early it will be less crowded after 9:30 there will be many groups of people coming.

Calming experience. You can do ciam si here and other Buddhist rituals. Or just wandering around. There are a set of statues at the back of the temple and small pond with turtles. Nice day out. Btw you don't need tickets to enter. There's a tiny eatery downstairs but no coffee

If you're looking for a whimsical and colorful experience in Kuala Lumpur, the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is the place to be. With over 5,000 butterflies representing more than 120 species, this expansive garden offers a jungle forest experience complete with walkways, footpaths, lakes, ponds, and gazebos. In addition to marveling at the vibrant butterflies, visitors can also explore local flora and fauna while learning about breeding programs and life cycles.

Home to thousands of free-flying butterflies, the park feels like stepping into a vibrant tropical garden filled with fluttering colors. The lush greenery, blooming flowers, and gentle streams create a calming atmosphere, while the informative displays give insight into butterfly life cycles and conservation efforts. Though the facilities are a bit dated, the park’s charm lies in its peaceful, natural beauty — a lovely spot for families, photographers, or anyone seeking a quiet break from the city’s bustle.

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a hidden gem in the city and a must-visit for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by greenery and vibrant wildlife. Located near the Lake Gardens, this tropical paradise is home to thousands of butterflies in a beautifully landscaped enclosure that feels like stepping into a natural rainforest. The park is designed with lush plants, flowers, and small waterfalls that create a refreshing and serene environment. Walking along the winding paths, you’ll see butterflies of all shapes, sizes, and colors flying freely around you, often landing on visitors if you stay still. It’s a magical experience, especially for children, as they get to learn about the life cycle of butterflies and see them up close. In addition to butterflies, the park also houses a collection of other insects, reptiles, and aquatic life in its mini museum and aquarium section. This makes it not only beautiful but also educational, with detailed exhibits about different species. The photography opportunities here are endless – the combination of colorful butterflies, tropical plants, and flowing streams makes every corner picture-perfect. The park is well-maintained, shaded in most areas, and easy to walk through. Facilities like seating areas and rest stops make it comfortable for visitors, while the souvenir shop at the exit offers unique gifts and butterfly-themed items. It’s also located close to other attractions such as the Bird Park and Orchid Garden, so you can easily plan a full day exploring the area. What makes Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park special is the sense of calm and wonder it creates. Despite being in the middle of a busy city, it feels like a different world – quiet, natural, and filled with beauty. It’s an ideal spot for families, tourists, or anyone who appreciates nature and wants a memorable experience in Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the city and one of the most relaxing attractions I visited. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere shifts — lush tropical greenery, koi ponds, and winding walkways create a calm escape from the busy outside world. It was really humid during my visit, but the warmth added to the authentic tropical rainforest vibe. The highlight is undoubtedly the hundreds of butterflies flying freely across the park. Watching them flutter gracefully, resting on flowers, and sometimes even landing close by was mesmerizing. Their vibrant colors make every step through the shaded trails feel magical, and it’s a paradise for photography lovers. Every corner looked picture-perfect, with butterflies adding life to the scene. What makes the park even more special is its educational value. Beyond the free-flight area, there are informative displays and a small museum that explain the history of butterflies and other species in Malaysia. Preserved specimens, insect collections, and fascinating facts about their lifecycle give visitors a deeper appreciation for these delicate creatures. Though some parts could use minor maintenance, the park is beautifully maintained overall. For families, nature lovers, or anyone wanting a colorful and calming experience, Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a must-visit.

Set amidst a quasi urban jungle you definitely won't be disappointed with this unique attraction, unless of course you have a particular dislike of beautiful colourful flying insects. A fraction of the price of the nearby Bird Park, the natural 'butterfly' environment is a delight—like stepping into a mini national park. Expect lots of colourful beauties flying above your head. Fish lovers won't be disappointed as there are several aquarium tanks throughout as well as lots of carp swimming in the ponds. On your way to the exit and, very modestly priced gift shop, there's a really entertaining natural history museum about all sorts of 'famous'' world insects (aka ridiculously huge species of...). Thankfully, the museum is fully air-conditioned to help cool you down after walking through the mini jungle. Highly recommended, esp for families.

The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a serene retreat in the heart of the city, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature without leaving the urban bustle. The park is a lush, rainforest-style enclosure with winding paths, tropical plants, waterfalls, and koi ponds, creating a peaceful and refreshing environment. Visitors can stroll among hundreds of butterflies flying freely, observing their vibrant colors up close. Interactive feeding stations provide opportunities for butterflies to land near you, making the experience engaging and memorable. The park also features an indoor exhibition with preserved insects and other invertebrates, adding an educational dimension to the visit. The atmosphere is especially pleasant in the morning when the butterflies are most active, and the well-maintained paths make it comfortable to explore. While the park is smaller than some might expect, it offers a relaxing escape and a chance to enjoy nature in a compact, accessible setting. Ratings: • 🌿 Atmosphere & Setting: 8.5/10 – Lush, tranquil, and beautifully landscaped. • 🦋 Butterfly Experience: 7/10 – Colorful and interactive, though activity levels vary. • 📚 Educational Value: 7/10 – Informative exhibits add to the experience. • ✅ Overall Experience: 7.5/10 – Perfect for families, nature lovers, or a quiet retreat. Summary: The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is a charming, peaceful spot to appreciate nature and observe butterflies up close. It’s ideal for a relaxing morning visit, providing both beauty and a gentle escape from city life.

The park is beautiful with lush greenery, and there are some lovely butterflies, though sometimes fewer than expected. It can be hot and humid, so mornings are the best time to visit. Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan, also known as The Federal Territory Mosque, is a stunning architectural marvel that combines Ottoman and Malay styles. With its grand domes in turquoise and gold, it offers a picturesque sight for photography enthusiasts. The mosque provides free tours to visitors interested in learning about the local culture and religion. It's open to everyone and showcases the beauty of Islamic architecture. Visitors are provided with robes and headdresses when entering the mosque, allowing them to experience this cultural aspect firsthand.
Beautiful place! Our guide was amazing — really friendly and very knowledgeable. I’ve visited other mosques before, and I can say this one is much more tourist-friendly :) Men have to cover their legs and shoulders, and women must cover everything, including their hair, but they provide the appropriate clothing.

We visited the Federal Territory Mosque (Masjid Wilayah) in August 2025 with our kids, and it was an unforgettable experience. Completed in 2000, this magnificent mosque blends Ottoman and Malay architectural styles, inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. The result is breathtaking — elegant domes, intricate carvings, and a vast prayer hall that feels serene and majestic. The kids especially loved the spacious courtyards and open areas where they could run and explore safely, while we admired the beauty and symmetry of the design. The mosque can accommodate up to 17,000 worshippers, and yet it never feels crowded thanks to its grand scale and open layout. The atmosphere was peaceful, the staff were kind and welcoming, and the whole place radiates both spiritual calm and architectural splendor. Tip: The mosque offers free guided tours, which are a great way to learn more about its history and design. Modest dress is required, but attire is provided for visitors if needed.

Absolutely great experience, definitely worth to visit! When we arrived there we got appropriate cloth for the visit and had a free tour. During the one and half hour we have learned so much about the mosque and the Islam as well. The very nice voluntary guides are open for every question and try to explain about everything especially the things which were often misunderstood. One of the highlights was definitely too watch the prayer at noon. Thank you so much for this great experience!

Wow, it was absolutely beautiful! We received such a warm welcome. Our guide, Nani, taught us about the history and architecture of the mosque, as well as many things about Islam. The atmosphere was very peaceful, and we were truly surprised and grateful for this opportunity. We really appreciated the time and love she shared with us.

We had a wonderful guided visit to the mosque with our guide, Dina. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. Her explanations about Islam were clear, insightful, and beautifully delivered, giving us a much deeper understanding of the faith and its traditions. Dina answered all of our questions with patience and warmth, and her passion for sharing knowledge truly shone through. It was an enriching and memorable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

Been here a couple of times but missed out on taking photos. Finally we did this time! This is one of the grandest mosque in Malaysia that we have had the opportunity to go to. And it is still here after more than 20years. With plenty of space, this mosque accommodates weddings, classes, seminars and more! This time we came by 5am, do check out the images and see what u can expect.. Lets dive in! Location: This mosque is hard to miss and rather easy to come to. Using the name in Maps, it brings you to the entrance easily. Do note that female section is not separated with a divider or curtain, but what we saw was that they were located at the back of the main hall. We wanted to actually pray tahajjud in front of those fans but realised they were demarcated for ladies 😅 Architecture: From a glance, it does look like the Blue Mosque in Turkey and this design was inspired based on that, but blends Malay architecture in it. There are many entrances and the main hall is at L3, based on our count. L1 is same level with carpark while L2 looks like event area, where all these can still be used especially during Friday prayers when many congregate. Upkeep: There are downsides to a big place, as maintenance is definitely a challenge. In terms of cleanliness, the mosque has done a very well job in that segment. But there are some rooms for improvements in the repairs segment. Carpark: There are lots of spaces within the mosque grounds. Some are parked not within any drawing of lots but away from the main driveways. just make sure you do not block roads, as there are constantly coaches and buses driving in. All in all, this is one of the mosques we would recommend to come by.

The Ganga Cafe in Bangsar is a popular spot that brings together diverse crowds, from hippies to salarymen, who all share a love for its famous chana bhatura. This dish features crispy fried bread served with masala chickpeas, red onion, and house-made yogurt. The cafe also offers the iconic Pranic Juice made of mint, coriander, lime, honey, cumin and salt.
Looking for a spread with home style cooking, then this is the place! It's daily. On Sundays, there's a special buffet that has a range of dishes, and the menu changes every Sunday. The highlight was the Pani Puri with 6 options of the flavoured water. Each was unique. Standing there & popping each one immediately after it's made is an experience... you lose count of how many you had. The staff are friendly & the owners take pride in engaging with each patron. Ending the meal with masala chai is perfect. There's also coffee. Will certainly revisit.

I visited this restaurant because of the roti tissue. Vegetarian and full of flavor! Had the pani puri, roti tissue, and pistachio kulfi—everything was seriously good! The roti tissue isn’t towering high like others, but it’s perfectly paper-thin and so fun to munch on. The pani puri was a flavor explosion and tasted really authentic. The pistachio ice cream was super creamy and packed with pistachio flavor. Love, love, love this place. Great flavors. Will definitely be back!

Ganga Café in Bangsar is a popular spot for vegetarian fare, offering an all-Indian menu with plenty of choices from thali to dosas and curries. While the food is wholesome and portions are fair, the flavours tend to be on the milder side — so those expecting bold spices or punchy seasoning may find it a little underwhelming. That said, it’s a decent place if you’re after a clean, meat-free meal in a casual café setting. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the variety ensures you’ll find something to suit, even if the overall taste doesn’t quite stand out.

Found a new kopitiam nearby NU sentral! Very hidden, introduced by friend to try. Came on weekday morning for breakfast before work. Service is very fast. Food is cheap. Rm9 without egg. Rm10 with egg. Broth is nice. Meatball seasoned well. Will come back and try other stalls in future as i saw it's mostly operated by chinese oldfolks.

Love the clear pork broth they served. Taste is above the many others. Condiments like minced pork, liver, pork ball were on average par.

Nice pork noodles. Had the $10 one w egg. Nice portion. Soup is nice. Ingredients seemed fresh w lard and all. But I was hoping it to be more porky including tripes, more liver etc

Old school functional zinc roof road side coffee shop hawker stall with excellent and unique minced pork noodles soup. Hot, humid and delicious. Malaysia hawker at its rawest and finest . Nearby Sentral station is best way to get there, otherwise roadside parking . Highly recommended.

Everytime I visit KL, I always make sure i have the time to visit this place😂. The pork noodle is so good and affordable, considering the amount of meat and an egg put in it. The broth is not sweet or too salty. Just nice 💯 the location is quite hidden and stuffy but ok

Peter's Pork Noodle has been around for as long as I remember. This popular stall in Brickfields is now operating in Money's Corner, a kopitiam in this area better known as Little India. This was my first time coming here and I had high expectations on what many people regarded as one of the best pork noodle in town. Probably the busiest stall of all, I placed an order and waited to be served. ◾Pork Noodle - the extra egg was perfect and the meats were nicely cooked. However I couldn't say the same with the broth - it had the sweetness from the pork but contained too much 冬菜 or preserved dried cabbage making it too salty. Frankly a bit disappointed. ◾Note: Moorthy's Mathai Indian Rice stall where I ordered fried chicken leg and sambal egg was good. Worth checking out. Leo's verdict - not sure if the quality has dropped over the years, but for me the hype was not worth my trip. I'll stick to my favourite pork noodle places in PJ such as Wah Cheong and Hog's Kitchen.

Modern French restaurant
Entier French Dining, located on the 41st floor of the Alila hotel in Kuala Lumpur, offers a unique take on classic French cuisine. Executive chef Masashi Horiuchi draws inspiration from his experience in Michelin star restaurants to create a menu that focuses on utilizing specific parts of the animal, embracing a nose-to-tail ideology. The restaurant emphasizes communal dining and values the integrity of ingredients over aesthetics.
Probably the best French food in Malaysia as the food tested five out of five for all the dishes. The ingredients were very fresh cooked definitely and the service is amazing what I love the most about the restaurant that they have an aesthetic theme. Good for photography good for dates and a very nice luxury environment with a good selection of wine. Amazing bread butter Fresh caviar and oyster Juicy lamb belly and salmon Tender chicken

We had a lunch tasting menu. The overall food was great but the veal was not good, maybe can replace with other option instead of this. Dessert was good too. Service is great as well. Atmosphere was great but it was kinda hot in the afternoon as i sat facing the big window.

Celebrated my birthday weekend at Entier French Dining with their 4-Course Lunch Set and it was truly memorable. The Salmon Tartar was the standout. Fresh and flavourful. Another must order dish is their prawn and mango. Service was spot on. Can't wait to come back to taste thier tasting menu

My family visited this place for lunch. We were happy with the food and services provided at this restaurant. Kevin did justice in explaining the details of every dishes as well as provided the prompt services despite being a busy Diwali afternoon. He is always cheerful and professional in meeting our needs. For food wise, every dishes is impeccably prepared and tasteful. Not pretentious. Desserts are well balanced. With the right amount of sweetness and acidity. 2 things we feel can be better - mango prawn is over spiced. Turmeric is a tad over powering. Desserts i was looking for more local fanfare.

Entier Restaurant serves delicious and beautifully presented food in a warm and elegant setting. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, even surprising us with a complimentary dessert for the birthday girls. It was a lovely touch that made the celebration extra special. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience! What a lovely birthday celebration! The elegant setting, city night view, and beautifully presented desserts with candles create such a warm and joyful atmosphere. Definitely a memorable and special moment to cherish!

Excellent food and alcohol pairing recommendation. Menu was well thought-out, with high standards of preparation across all courses. We were wowed by our seat near the window, which gave us a full view of the city skyline. We will definitely be back again, special occasions or not!

Michelin star restaurant in KL. Been there many times & it never fail me. Celebrate my friend's birthday. We both enjoyed the food & the environment. Nice.

RM208 nett for 4 course (plus bread appetizer and homemade soda), this entire experience was worth a great date. And indeed, there are alot of young people in this lively, classy space.

Old China Cafe

Cafe
Old China Cafe is a charming restaurant that offers traditional Malay and Chinese dishes in a setting adorned with antique decor. The cafe specializes in Nyonya cuisine, which combines Chinese ingredients with Malay spices and cooking techniques. This unique culinary style reflects influences from various cultures including Chinese, Malay, Portuguese, Dutch, and English.
Old China Café is one of those rare places where you don’t just eat, you travel back in time. Set inside a 1930s shophouse, the atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Wooden floors that creak softly, ceilings darkened by age, and walls covered with old calligraphy, watercolours, and black-and-white portraits of KL’s early Chinese community, it feels like stepping into a living museum that still smells of coffee and nostalgia. The menu beautifully reflects Malaysia’s mixed heritage, offering everything from Nyonya dishes to classic Chinese and Malay favourites. I started with a rosella drink: fragrant, tangy, and refreshing (yes, I ate the flowers too!) followed by a bowl of ginseng soup that was pure comfort in liquid form. To finish, I tried their Melaka-style kopi, rich and aromatic with cocoa and buttery milk on the side. It was indulgent, satisfying, and perfectly matched the old-world setting. Service was friendly and unhurried, the kind that lets you linger and soak in the atmosphere. If you’re looking for a place in KL that combines heritage, flavour, and character, this café is it. Definitely one of my favourite food experiences in the city.

Food was just fine for me and the portion. They give 2 pieces of chicken each order with lunch set meals. Drink was sour plum. Not bad, i like it. Not too sweet. Overall it is ok for me since my first time. Environment decoration using the restaurant name, old china. Kinda get the vibe.
Wahyuni S — Google review
This shop serving up authentic Nyonya flavors! We went for the curry fish head 🐟🔥 and fried tofu 🍴— both super tasty and the portion was more than enough for 2 pax. 😋 Definitely worth coming back for! ✨

The place exudes an old-china charm, making it an inviting spot to savor a meal. The menu offers a delightful selection of Peranakan cuisine. The nasi lemak with rendang is a flavorful and satisfying dish, while the chicken rendang is enjoyable but not overly abundant. The sambal belachan fried rice has a distinct belachan flavor, though it lacks the desired spiciness. The fried chicken, unfortunately, falls short in terms of taste, but the belachan chilli on the side adds a touch of flavor. The chili is a bit salty, which is a minor drawback. The okra is crunchy and well-cooked, complemented with the same chili that adds a subtle spiciness without being overpowering. The roselle drink is quite refreshing. Overall, this place is a decent option for those seeking Peranakan food. It’s worth trying if you find yourself in the area.

It's such a beautiful shop—playing old Chinese songs from the last century, but very softly, so the whole place remains quiet and peaceful. It's a great spot to relax. I ordered the Nyonya laksa and a salad—both were delicious. The salad was refreshing, and the laksa was rich and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the service was excellent—they even showed you how to eat it properly. Very reasonably priced too.
Alison G — Google review
An excellent restaurant serving Peranakan delicacies. The decor is beautiful. The service is on point, the servers know what to recommend and honestly everything was delicious. Truly a cultural experience for the taste buds.

This place came highly recommended from a local so we were excited to try it out. They definitely need to update their opening and closing times on here because we turned up just before 9 thinking we still had 2 hours to go before closing but they told us they will be closing soon and they would let us in but we need to order fast, and can't stay long. So that was disappointing as we felt quite rushed. The food itself we thoroughly enjoyed and I love the vibes it looks like we have been transported back in time. But we had to eat very quickly and couldn't enjoy our meal or the atmosphere.
