I’ve been to Vegas and the high desert casinos in California, and I’ve also made the trip to Tunica. Sure, Tunica might seem a little out of the way, but the distance is more than worth it for the perks you get as a players club member. We’re talking $300 in free play every couple of weeks, free drinks as long as you’re playing, and even free hotel stays. Seriously—what more could you ask for? Sure, did we spend some money playing? Yes. But with the perks and comps pulling us in, spending around $500 gambling felt absolutely worth it. At one point, we could have easily quit while we were $2,500 ahead, but we were having such a great time we just kept playing. My husband and I had an amazing time at Gold Strike. The staff, the atmosphere, and the comps all made it the best getaway we’ve had in years. We’ll definitely be back—comps or no comps. Thank you, Gold Strike, for giving us such a great experience!

2 of the 4 elevators didn't work. The escalator in the casino didn't work. The soap dispensers in the bathrooms didn't work. The roulette screens didnt work. The shower head in our room didn't work correctly and the shower pressure was horrible. We had stained towels. The toilet was dirty. Every time we got off the elevator it was strong weed smell. After we booked our room at the front desk, we didn't realize we could go online and get the room for $10 cheaper with a food credit. I wont say we wont ever stay there again but it won't be our first choice. The only positive thing was the actual beds. They were soft, clean, and comfortable.
Toni M — Google review
love the exclusivity but the room was definitely dated and had not been dusted in awhile. the sink and tub were very dated as well. service was beyond fantastic and the beds were INCREDIBLE. so comfortable. soft sheets. perfect pillows. literally no complaints. we stayed on floor 27 and it was a beautiful view.

Came specifically to try their buffet. It was overpriced for less than quality food. I will happily pay $60/pp for having the option for crab legs, but even those weren't cooked properly. They were mushy and water-logged. The slice of beef roast had zero flavor and was extremely tough. I left without trying anything else. Extremely disappointed and would not return.

Stayed here Thursday night, was only planning on staying one night, we got up Friday, it was storming, we had traveled in on a motorcycle... we left and rode about 10 minutes and decided to turn around and come back. We decided to stay another night. I called the reservation line and we got a room. A casino host gave us each a comp dinner buffet and a comp brunch buffet. Both very excellent. Heated spa tub was nice so was the pool to cool off in. I also got picked to play the football frenzy game to win free play on Friday night, and I won $550 in free play. All of the employees we interacted with were very nice and welcoming. Only bad things I can say are, the safe did not work, there was an error code when I tried to use it. The collective kitchens breakfast plate with eggs, potatoes and a biscuit was terrible. Eggs were watery and nasty, biscuit was hard. Potatoes weren't terrible but not great. And for brunch this morning, the hostess who sat us and our server both acted like they didnt want to be there. Neither were very friendly at all. Everything else was great. You can tell the staff do a great job keeping the property clean and updated despite that its an older property. If you have ever been to Tunica, most of the other casinos there are run down. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Gold Strike employees for making our stay great!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed our reservation made a month ago was cancelled due to the computer having the wrong date, but we were able to get a room anyway. We were put on the 29th floor, and the hotel only had 1 elevator of 4 working. The wait times to go up were long, and the elevator was packed like sardines coming down from 29. We tried taking the stairs once to avoid this, but the stairwell took us down to the bowels of the casino where workers directed us to a service elevator, which was again a long wait, to go down 1 more floor to the lobby. The room was on a smoking floor, and while the hall smelled of smoke, the room did not. It wasn't the cleanest room, but it wasn't too bad. The beds were nice and comfortable. There's really nothing else around as far as restaurants or much entertainment besides the 2 casinos here, so the choice of restaurants is a little limited.
Tim M — Google review
We rented a room for a one-night stay. My Amex card was charged the obligatory $50. When I asked how long it would take to be charged back to my card, I was told it would take 7 to 10 business days. On the 11th day, it was still there. The second time I called, the person said 14 business days and hung up on me as I was about to ask a question. This is the second time that has happened, calling the Gold Strike front desk. The casino has changed. The staff is rude, and the hotel needs a lot of work. Gold Strike has changed hands. Sad to see it is not kept up the way it once was. I will not be returning. Not even with the free room they offer daily.
Fee L — Google review
Rooms Not nearly as clean & nice as they used to be & can't upgrade. Was supposed to get a King bed, got 2 queens instead. Hot water in the shower squeeled really bad. TV reception was in & out. Bathroom sink was not cleaned well. Some of the plug ins didn't work & room didn't cool.

With its casual accommodations, guests can enjoy spacious rooms perfect for family getaways or girls' nights out. The resort features an outdoor pool, a well-equipped gym, and five diverse dining options to satisfy any craving. For those looking to explore the area, nearby attractions include St.
We had a great time. The staff was awesome and we had a lot of fun with the dealers. The room was alright. We got a premium king. The couch looked like it needed a washing. And the bedding smelled like smoke even though we were in a non-smoking room.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple times now and previously I was satisfied with my stay. My recent stay has changed my opinion. On one hand the rooms are decently priced and clean, there’s variety in the games, and the pool isn’t too crowded. However, the building desperately needs renovations and I worry for the safety of future guests because of it. During my last stay the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Everyone filled the hall and made their way to the emergency exits, which were not easy find as there was no maps of the building. While exiting the building I noticed a metal panel lifting right outside of the door and nearly tripped. I stayed behind to warn other guests because it was dark and many of the guests were elderly. We made our way downstairs only to be trapped by a gate with no other method of exit. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for employees to open this gate. Luckily, it seemed like a false alarm, but if an actual emergency had occurred, I worry the elderly guests in particular would have been endangered by the building’s infrastructure. Horseshoe needs to seriously consider some minor updates for the safety of their future guests. I would not feel comfortable staying there again unless these changes were implemented.

I’m hoping the Horseshoe will do what they gotta do to stay open…the rooms are very outdated and really need a DEEP cleaning…we were on the 3rd floor..which is dark and dreary. The staff are always nice and helpful. We were carded (show license) or you cant go into the casino…we (3 adults in our 60’s) So we really didn’t understand the reasoning for this new protocol. We are just hopeful they are renovating and gonna keep the casino up to date on new machines and more great shows…

I’ll start with what was good. It was a comfortable bed. That’s the positive. Now for the negative . The hotel is like an old dog waiting to die. Upon check in, we asked for a room close to the elevator since I had recently hurt my knee. We were given a room on the second floor as far away from the elevator as possible. When my husband went back to the front desk the employee knew we would be back. We had to upgrade to get a closer room. Keep in mind there were NO people in the hotel. We had dinner at the Asian restaurant only to find out our club credits are not accepted there. No signage to make customers aware and the restaurant is on the club app. The food was ok but we were the only ones there and the waitress stood over us the entire time making it uncomfortable. The gaming floor has empty spots and yellow tape. Nothing near the number of slots it used to have. We woke up this morning to drilling and hammering before 8 am. We were supposed to gamble today with 5X tier credits and stay tonight. But It just wasn’t worth it. So we left a day early. This used to be our favorite location. It’s a true disappointment. Find some place else to play !

This review is specific to the hotel, the casino is a casino. The room was clean but no coffee pot, since there's a Starbucks in the lobby, I guess, except the Starbucks was not open anytime after 2pm. The snack bar didn't have any coffee either. Since I like coffee after dinner and before bed, I'd have to get a coffee from the bartender and take it to the room. I gave service one star since I never got any -- a three-day stay and I never saw housekeeping. A room for two had two towels that were never changed. I guess you are supposed to ask to have your bed made and your towels changed; for the price they should do that. I guess that's another reason there is no Keurig in the room; you'd need housekeeping to replenish the coffee. One other pet peeve is there was no toilet pqper holder; the paper was sitting on a shelf. Not a fan of that setup. Location was ideal since it's at the casino where I was playing in a poker tourney.

Ouch. Brought cash out tickets back, out of the way. But why not? They had zero rooms because their system was down. Drove down the way to gold strike. Lovely people with an inexpensive room. Walked back to the horsescrew and they said my cashout tickets expired on October 1. FYI they were 2 months old. Question: why does my cash expire? The photo below is the Gold Strike room. Great room and great people. Horsescrew, not so much.

I fell at this casino due to a bulk in their floor!!! They are simply acting like they don’t care at all!!!! And the employees that I’ve dealt with in regards to the situation have been careless thus far!! I’m angry, this was my favorite casino but not anymore!!! The guest and their comfort happiness and safety should be your number 1 goal bc they are the people that keep you guys in business!!! And it’s shows here on the reviews how little they care!!! The owner is replying to all positive reviews but has nothing to say for themselves in the negative reviews!!!

I am very disappointed and unsatisfied with this room. We drove from Houston to Shreveport to Robinson We were late arrival at 8:30. The 2 queen bed room we thought was reserved wasn't available. Ok..Busy night at casino... We were dead tired.. The staff at was not friendly but professional. The walked to the room is at least 2 city blocks from elevators .The room is dated but clean. Closet door won't close..safe door falls off. But out of our years of travel I have never seen such a small room. Motel rooms are larger. We started to ask to be moved but had already unpacked and just to exhausted to repack. We rested and went to casino. (Lively) The walked back to room was exhausting. We are both in our 70's. Horseshoe has spoiled our trip. Won't be getting out room much because we will hate the return. NEVER AGAIN

Fitz Casino & Hotel Tunica, Trademark Collection by Wyndham is a contemporary casino hotel offering uncomplicated rooms and suites, along with two dining options and a bar featuring live music. Guests have praised the warm atmosphere and friendly staff, noting that the recent room remodel exceeded expectations. While some suggest adding amenities like refrigerators in all rooms or a non-gambling entertainment area, overall feedback highlights the exceptional service provided by the accommodating employees.
For a casino hotel, I expected much, much more. Starting with I drove up to the lane marked Valet, there is no valet. It is tucked very far off the main road. Front desk staff, my attendant was friendly but the other young lady was not. I stood in line hoping I didn't get her because I had questions and she didn't look liked she'd want to answer them. I requested a handicap accessible room. Not sure they know the definition of ADA Compliant. There was one rail in the role in shower only. The shower bench was worn and bent. It didn't look clean or safe. It is definitely in need of updating. The room was simple and in need of updating also. If you're expecting the luxury of a casino hotel this isn't it . The casino was okay. Plenty of slot machines. Food at Dominicks was good. Friendly staff throughout the casino area.
Lisa C — Google review
I have a very good casino host. As for the rooms, they are very plain. The parking lot has very few handicapped parking spaces. The casino is very crowded and you can barely hear anything going on with the specials over the loudspeakers. If you go for the buffet. You will be standing in a very long line, so you better get there early. And no toilet paper holder. We were told that not all of the rooms have them.

Best prices if you plan to stay out in the casinos the majority of the time. Rooms are C+ but definitely doable and affordable. Bed is comfy though! The inside pool is.... It gets a D- hard pass on it... Definitely on the cheaper side when you can spend 30-40 more a night and go to Gold Strike or Horseshoe and the quality jumps SIGNIFICANTLY but for quick on the go trip not to shabby. Whole experience B- they do offer free buffet for new members as well as $25 in free play but Casino is very very small. Disappointing Casino gets a C+

First impression is the LAST impression. Customer service is awful!!! The hotel receptionists not friendly, terrible nasty disposition. My husband went to get a cart for our luggage after checking in and the hotel receptionist at the front desk asked him for his driver's license until he returned the luggage cart. The hotel smells musty. They smell of some fragrance is use to try and conceal the odor. The rooms are not clean. The floors are sweaty and slippery, no refrigerator, microwave, ice machine in hallway 1st floor doesn't work, mold in cracks of the shower, can barely see of dirty windows, cobwebs in room, curtains dusty and dirty, hair in sink and toilet not clean. The funky smell of marijuana after getting off elevator. The inside lock on our room door broken, we moved to different room. Made reservations for two nights, only staying one. The worst hotel EVER!!!
Theresa B — Google review
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was great. Most of the staff were sufficient, but no one seemed happy to be working there. No one was winning. I have NEVER played anywhere and not , at least, broke even. We went to a couple other casinos, totally different vibe. Helpful employees, machines making some noise. No coffee maker in the room!! Even motel 6 has that. $5 a cup of coffee. No fridge or microwave, of course. We will not be back, and that's on corporate.
Susan P — Google review
Hotel is old but you can tell it is well kept and pretty clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff that we interacted with during our stay were nice. They give first time guest $25 in free play for the casino and each guest a ticket for a free buffet. The only bad thing was that the buffet was closed when we stayed there so we couldn't eat there. And the tickets expire within 30 days. We live 2 hours away. The hot tub was hot and nice but looks like it could use a good pressure washing. There was a cigarette butt beside of it. Gross. And it had so much chlorine in it that after about 30 minutes, we had to get out cause both of our eyes were literally burning it was that bad. We did not use the pool but it looked clean. We got a couple of burgers and 1 order of fries at Fuddruckers and it was almost $32. Thats without buying drinks. The burgers were good though. I liked the toppings bar. As for the casino, it was the most depressing atmosphere. Not lively at all. The music on the speakers was terrible. Looked like no one was winning anything. I know I wasn't. Those machines just eat up your money. Just wasn't a good vibe. Go to Gold Strike or Hollywood Casino, they are modern and nice. Sams town, 1st jackpot and horseshoe didnt have good vibes either.
A C — Google review
So disappointing the ENTIRE premises (even the parking lot) is now 21+. This was the first place I stayed with my parents on our Tunica trips 27 years ago when I was 6. Now my siblings & I have kids of our own. We took them to see the castle architecture and hoped to check out the renovations our friends that are locals had told us about. We were immediately confronted in the parking lot and very rudely told to hurry up and vacate. I, my brother, and dad still wanted to check out the inside so we needed 5-10 minutes to make a plan about where my sister and fiancee could take the kids and when they should come pick us up. Couldn't even give us that. I've never seen anyone chased out of the parking lot over 100 ft from the door of any other 21+ establishment. They ultimately decided to go check out the museum and aquarium that's right next to the property to kill some time & go figure they had extremely limited cell service there so it was needlessly difficult for the three of us to communicate with them about when we were done & they should return to pick us up. As soon as they got back to the parking lot they were immediately accosted by security circling the vehicle. Inside the building, the employees were friendly and attentive and apologized for our initial experience outside, but it still left us soured. The floor is quite nice, has lots of dining options, and had wait staff active on the floor. It would absolutely be a shoe-in for where we would stay on all our future trips if they followed conventional standards & only banned kids on the game floor like all the other casinos in Tunica. It seems like a no brainer to me. The aesthetic is conducive to it because it looks like rolling up to a castle when you first arrive & has that museum/aquarium right next door. It's a solid choice for those without kids, but steer very clear if you do. Hollywood & Sam's Town are the top options for families, though their game floors aren't as good & have much less wait staff on the floor. It's going to be many, many years before we'll be going back to Fitz.

I purchased a loaf of Nature’s Own butter bread from this store. I called several times over two days to let them know that my bread had been eaten by a rodent on the bottom corner of the loaf. I didn’t want a refund or replacement. I was traveling through . They didn’t answer the phone on either of the 5 times I called over 2 days. I just wanted to notify someone so another customer wouldn’t encounter the same issue.

Chicago Steakhouse is a top-notch dining spot that offers an exceptional experience. The ambiance is described as dim and cozy, creating a romantic atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious and perfectly cooked, with standout dishes like onion soup, lobster mac and cheese, and filet. The restaurant's staff receives high praise for their excellent service, with specific mentions of servers like Frank and Oumar who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience.
Food and service was exquisite! Frank was our server, he is fun and witty! We had already been once prior to this trip, we will definitely be back!

My party of 4 had dinner on a weekday evening. Service was really good but the food was just okay. My steak was overcooked but had good flavor. The crab cake had too much breading for our liking. One of the guests was celebrating a birthday and they charged us a small fee for the birthday dessert that the server offered. That was strange lol! There weren’t many people dining in but there was a party in the private room. They were extremely loud and it prevented us from fully enjoying our dinner.

Take away. Seared and not seared scallops. It's Friday night and the scallops taste like fish already. Theres should be a discussion on what is remoulade and what is mustard in the kitchen. I know mustard and crab cakes. I'm from Maryland. It's required knowledge. I just had this exact same meal the night before. I also had the exact same order during my visit in November. It was not good but, i thought it could be an off night. So I'd try it again. The staff should catch these things before i get them. If you're interested, i can DM more information. Suggest the restaurant not offer take away if you can't deliver consistent meals. Otherwise, it's just a 4 star side scam.

My experience here was absolutely amazing. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the lamb chops, brussels, and mashed potatoes. All I can say is WOW ✨ My server was Mallory and she was an absolute pleasure and delight! She was attentive, patient, and filled with southern hospitality. She provided service rated 10/10. My best dining experience I’ve had in a while!

Absolutely Outstanding Dining Experience! We had dinner at Chicago Steakhouse inside Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS, and were genuinely blown away. Honestly, we didn’t expect such an exceptional meal outside of a major city, but this restaurant could easily compete with some Michelin Star establishments we’ve visited in Las Vegas and other cities. The chef here truly understands how to prepare a perfect meal — every dish was spot on. We ordered several appetizers, filet mignon, lamb chops, and a variety of sides, and everything was exceptional in both flavor and presentation. The meats were cooked exactly as requested, tender and full of rich flavor. Even the sides were memorable, which says a lot. We recently visited the steakhouses at Beau Rivage and the one next door at Horseshoe, and they weren’t even close in comparison. Chicago Steakhouse at Gold Strike easily stands above the rest — in quality, flavor, and overall dining experience. Service was professional and attentive, and the atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. This was one of those rare dinners where everything came together perfectly. If you’re anywhere near Tunica, this is a must-visit restaurant — a hidden gem that delivers fine dining excellence without the big-city price tag.

We were there in July to celebrate 2 birthdays. We'd been there several times in the past with no issues whatsoever. This time around the food was by far not the best. The main issue was the filet we ordered. It was supposed to be a 6 ounce, it might have been 3 ounces. The best part was the service; it was excellent.

Fuddruckers is a family-friendly burger chain known for its housemade sesame seed buns, salads, and shakes. Located in Fitzgerald's Casino, it offers a convenient dining option after a night of gambling. While the food is described as tasty and satisfying, it may not stand out as exceptional. However, the 24-hour operation is appreciated by many customers, especially during the current pandemic. Visitors recommend trying the bourbon burger and praise the friendly and helpful staff.
Today my husband and I visit Fuddruckers at the fitz casino for the first time. I asked one of the employees which burger should I get and he told me to try the bourbon burger, so I did. I ordered the bourbon burger and my husband ordered the double burger. It was one of the best burger I ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful. The young man who suggested the bourbon burger came to our table to check and see did I enjoy the burger and I told him it was the best. We will be back on our next trip.

One order of horribly over cooked fries, the smallest frozen, grocery store chicken strips I have ever seen and one drink. This was absolute freaking garbage. Save yourself, eat elsewhere. Huge disappointment. Note: We own a burger joint, serve 1/3lb patties ALL DAY and we have kiddie patties, too. This was 1000% not 1/3 lb. patty. All bread, lettuce and pickles. Never again. McDonalds would have been better and that's not saying much. *edited to add pictures.

They need a new staff. From the manger on down to the employees. All they do is serve you old good while they eat the food. The cashier is rude, and the manager doesn’t care. Food is expensive and cold.

The Original Fuddruckers had 3 size patties and made their own bread. Also had 2 pots of hot cheese out (1 was jalapeno) you could put on your burger. They have hot nacho cheese in back and they put it on my burger for me! Was still a good burger even though it was only 1/3 pound.

Messed up our orders. Then took too many of our comps for our meals. No ketchup & dirty tables.

RIPOFF!!! A whole new staff is needed. The condiments looked old no pickles, burgers were bland, overcooked, we had more bread than meat. I ordered the 6 Buffalo wings for 8.99 attached is what I got. My husband asked where is the other two and the guy told him thats all of it. It was literally PARTY WINGS and one was undercooked! I will never eat at this place again because of the disgusting food, rude staff, and false advertisement.

I spent $20 on a burger that was probably made 3 hours ago. Overcooked and reheated patty, bun was actually wet, the fried egg was well over hard. No seasoning on the fries. Actually they weren't even fries, they were just warm potato tears. Seriously i really want them to get it together

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a well-established fast-food restaurant famous for its wide range of burgers and fries.
We went thru the drive thru and it sounded messed up. We had to repeat ourselves three times before she heard me. But it didn't take long to get thru the lines. They were ok neither one of the workers seemed too happy to be there. They thanked us for coming. everything was good just the nugget was just a little hard but I will always go back McDonald's is one of my go to places.

Steak house
Jack Binion's Steak at Horseshoe Tunica is a delightful dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of classic American cuisine. Nestled in a cozy, red-hued ambiance, this restaurant specializes in mouthwatering steaks and fresh seafood, complemented by an impressive cocktail selection. Many visitors rave about their experiences here, often returning for the generous portions and delectable sides like the enormous baked potato or scrumptious zucchini muffins.
Great experience. My aunt got a comp. Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. We had a quiet space in side room. Wide variety of tables.
Roaming J — Google review
Definitely a must for your casino trip! We were recommended to try this place by a family member who always makes a point to eat here when their family comes down to Tunica, and it's easy to understand why! While none of the steaks come with sides, you can definitely split one side between multiple people! My mom ordered a baked potato as a side and it was so huge, we were each able to just take half! The bread you're given is wonderful, especially the zucchini muffins! They're sweet and almost cakey, very reminiscent of a carrot cake! (Speaking of cakes, I'd highly recommend the cheesecake! It's served with strawberries and blueberries, and it's absolutely delicious!) The service was excellent as well, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive! :)
Dace B — Google review
The food was terrible. This was our first time dining at Jack Binion's in Tunica. We ordered filet mignon and the grilled chicken. Our filet mignon was overcooked. The grilled chicken was overcooked as well and had some horrible seasoning on it that tasted like it came from the special shelf at dollar general. I took one bite of the chicken and left the rest on the plate. The waiter never inquired as to why the meat was not eaten. We will definitely not go back again.

Horrible service by Jordan. Cold food. Rushed order. Oriental bus lady takes whatever she wants whenever she wants … took half my salad, took 1/2 my steak. Jordan ran my credit card 3X, waiting on credit from hotel. The place used to be a nice steakhouse, not anymore.
TIMOTHY D — Google review
Our server Jason is always amazing and on point with our service! Our host George is top tier! Drinks are great. The braised short rib with fried onions over mashed potatoes was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. The lamb chops are perfectly seasoned and so are the sides. My favorite place to eat when we visit.
M T — Google review
I ate here with a group of 4. We had the salmon, filet mignon,.pork chops. Everything was good except the baked potato. It was tiny and dry .. For $13 it should have been fabulous.

Omg..... Food and service above and beyond! Absolutely amazing staff. We loved the shrimp cocktail and rib appetizer, salads were great, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the chocolate cake was exactly the way to top off the perfect meal! Definitely a must!
Leigh C — Google review
We had a fantastic meal here last weekend! My friend got the bison ribeye with creamed spinach and a wedge salad. I had the prime rib, onion soup, and baked potato. Service was really good, and unhurried. So many times at a “resort” you have chain restaurants with no personal service. I would recommend this place any time.

Day 2

Proximity is everything
For day 2, we bundled attractions like Hollywood Casino & Hotel Tunica and Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, Tunica and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Combined with the average time people spend there, your day should take about 6 hours.

Casino
Hollywood Casino & Hotel Tunica is a Hollywood-themed casino hotel offering classic rooms, 3 restaurants, a pool, and a gift shop. Guests can also stay at the RV park with convenient water and electric hookups. The well-staffed casino offers a nice selection of games where visitors can enjoy small wins. While the food at the small grill inside the casino was adequate, some guests found room heating issues and were not pleased with the cash-out system.
I have been an Emerald status patron and have an awesome host named Kim at Sam's Town Tunica for the past 5 years and now my home away from home is officially closing in November, so now I basically have to start from square one. Luckily there is the Hollywood across the street and I had the pleasure of gambling there yesterday with my parents during my last monthly mini vacation trip to Sam's Town. My experience at this establishment was overall top notch. The more open and airy casino floor layout is fantastic, the drink servers and security are great and there are fantastic slot machine options. I really enjoyed myself and I am now looking forward to the Hollywood Casino & Hotel being my new monthly home away from home when I want to escape the hustle and bustle of Clarksville, TN and Fort Campbell, KY. I will be making a reservation asap as well as update this review after I experience my first stay at the hotel and try out the restaurants next month. Thank you Hollywood and staff. I will be returning.

Room was adequate, fairly clean. Everything worked. Slot club is probably the worst I have ever seen. Could not take advantage of anything unless you had the ''Penn'' app open, and of course it would not work. Slot club could not get it to work either. Then it appears you do not get points, only cast iron pans and other worthless junk to tote around while gambling. Then the kicker, the free cash you get for signing up can only be used for on-line gambling in their app. This should be against the law. We may come back to the casino, but will not use a slot card!!! It is pretty tough to get too excited about gambling in a casino that does not reward players for heavy play.
Tim S — Google review
Staff and entire facility is top notch. Slots pay out and dealers are friendly and professional. rooms are clean and the rv park is 5 stars. Security is more than helpful and never felt unsafe or that our vehicles or RV were at risk the least little bit. Great slot selection as well and promos were good.

I applaud the Hollywood casino in Tunica. We left Sam's Town due to their closing and spent several hours gambling on a Friday to see how it was. We are very impressed with your casino and beverage service. Our monthly 3 day trips hopefully will be very satisfying. We come to gamble and are on the casino floor most of the time. Not much time is spent in a hotel room and have not stayed in your hotel yet but offered a comped room. We booked room reservations so we will see how your rooms are next month in October. Hoping this is our last home, away from home. 25 years at the Horseshoe, 5 years at Sam's Town and now the Hollywood casino Tunica. Look out...here we come for the fun fun fun.

Me and the hubs just got away for a couple of hours. Played a few machines. Enjoyed ourselves. Nice, Clean, staff was very nice. But, you can smoke in there. I didn't realize that you could until I went in a smelled it. It wasn't bad. It didn't bother us and we don't smoke.

I booked my room well in advance. Called to report a late check-in due to traveling hold ups. Was told there was going to be no issues. Once arrived, I was told no rooms available, that when I called the rooms were already booked up by the manager. So, when I called they already gave my room away. Finally found me a room at 10:00 p.m. and had to share a bed with my friend. The service lady was rude and seemed bothered to try to accommodate us. The next morning we were asked to wait until 11 to try to get moved to our original double room. I was told they would call me as soon as it was ready, I got the call at 6:30 p.m. and was asked to come immediately to switch rooms, we were at one of the other casinos at the time. Although the worker that evening was very pleasant, it still was a disappointing stay. Hope next year is better!!

Grateful jackpot one was more accommodating, but prefer Hollywood table. Thanks for opportunity for feedback. Parking was easy, checking in was smooth. In that sense, it’s like any good hotel. What makes this place exceptional was the amazing women we met here that were staff! Our lady that checked us in was so kind, the two ladies in the coffee shop were just so precious but no one beats the best security guard in the world Ms. Nickey. She has the kindest heart and she really made the trip here at Hollywood all worth the drive! So glad I made new friends in Tunica and when I come back, I’ll be staying here again. Great experience and great memories!

It's been awhile since I visited last. Unfortunately I heard it's closing in November. I'm glad I bumped up my tunica trip to this month. I will miss sam's town. I have a lot of great memories.

I've tried 3 times to write this review and got kicked off the site. Sans town need new machines. The mattresses needs to be replaced. You can't get room service. The place is dead now. No bands any more. The food at Smokey Joe's is delicious. Look at the casino in Oak Grove and Mint. They have good machines. Get the red dragon machines they have. Shop around to different places to see the environment, and the people that's there. No enthusiasm what so ever. I like Sam's town. It's not the same since they tore down everything. The hallways are spooky. Make a change

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel checkin was quick. The casino itself was dead. There wasn't very many people at all and the machines were definitely not paying. We ate at Smoky Joe's and it was good food.

I dont even think this hotel deserves ONE STAR! Where do I even start. Ill just point out the biggest issues!!! The carpet was wet!!!! The bed was broken, uneven and super uncomfortable!!!! My back is killing me and im not even old im in my 30s I don't have back issues! The towels felt like sandpaper! The lamp was rusted!!! There was hair in the fridge!!!! We wont ever stay here again!!!!! Never!!!!!! Very disappointed

No front desk staff available after a certain hour, arrived in the room the smoke smell is strong and horrible. The entire room stink. The room had spider webs in the ceiling that made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Bed are very hard. I called down to front desk with the complaint they did offer to buy me in another room but when I asked would the next room be more cleaner than I’m in they stated they’re not sure because they’re just security and was left to hand out keys and front desk won’t be in until 8. This is horrible service. Will not be booking here again.

Frank's Pub and Grille is a local favorite, drawing in a crowd of regulars who enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. The pub offers various entertainment options such as pool, darts, and a jukebox, with weekly events like pool tournaments and live music on weekends. One highlight is their $15 steak special on Tuesdays. The establishment boasts well-kept pool tables and modern dart boards for patrons to enjoy.
I have been here numerous times over the years. This place is a hole in the wall with great food. They do live music. Pool tables. Jukebox. Bar and grill style menu. Love the patty melt ! Wife loved their burger (henchman) and we will definitely keep coming back. We also tried the honey hot wings which were great. Southwestern egg rolls were my favorite ! Can’t go wrong coming here !

Okay this place is a gem! The food was delicious! We had the southwest egg rolls, fried pickles, catfish dinner, and philly cheese steak. Everything was really, really good. And our waitress (Kennedy) was a sweetheart. She was very helpful with any questions we had and was a lot of fun. Thanks Frank's for a great evening! ...only negative is the smell of cigarettes. But I never actually saw anyone smoking. It just smelled like it. Definitely not overpowering or anything though. All in all 5 well-deserved stars! 🤩

1st Jackpot Casino Tunica offers straightforward rooms within a casino setting, featuring slot machines and gaming tables. The establishment boasts three on-site restaurants for dining options. Visitors praise the casino's exciting promotions and exceptional blackjack tables, where a $5 bet can yield substantial returns. While some guests note limited food offerings during the day, they appreciate the overall enjoyable experience with decent slot payouts. However, there are occasional challenges with ticket redemption lines.
The OG Bird lunch counter is the best!!! The staff taking orders, the young folks cooking, and the gentleman who kept the dinning room spotless were all working with smiles on their faces. Miss Bird must be doing something right. The diner was pleasant, the food was on point, and the atmosphere was the best on the casino strip area. I would recommend stopping in for lunch even if you are gambling at another location you won’t be disappointed.

First of all, the wording on the website led me to believe there were crab legs each evening. Untrue. Only Saturdays. The prime rib was RAW. The friend chicken was undercooked. The veggies were not hot or fresh. The desserts had been sitting out so long they were dry and hard around the outside. The food was not good at all. Now the service….was wonderful. Friendly, attentive, outgoing. Wish the food equaled the people.

I was invited to an event over the weekend at 1st. Jackpot. On the ten o'clock drawing they gave a place to an Owner player that had missed the time. She also had left the building and her host called her on the phone to let her know that she had won. I was told that it's policy if you have a host they do this for them. Rule don't apply if you are a owner and elite players it's just for us regular people. I used to love this casino so don't come to their drawing.

Telisha B was great server. We liked the flaky pot pie and generous ham slices. Dessert was awful. Only strawberry cake other than 6-8 sugar free choices. I even asked if any other desserts were offered without artificial sugar and said no just the one cake. Weird to only offer 1 on a buffet. Friendly staff other than dessert personal made up for it.

The visitor center at Tunica County River Park offers an enjoyable and informative experience with interesting exhibits and abundant information. The remarkable aspect is its seemingly deserted ambiance, despite being well-staffed and maintained. Guests can have the entire place to themselves for an extended period. Adjacent to the museum, the river provides additional enjoyment with fascinating driftwood and unique sand formations resulting from past floods. This hidden gem is highly recommended as a delightful destination, promising a pleasant visit that may warrant future returns.
This is really an underrated place and has gotten some unfair reviews. The exhibits were great. The view was awesome! The aquarium was not much but that wasn’t important to us. This place was probably fantastic before Covid but the lack of visitors to this place has hurt. As we travel this great country of ours, we have seen museums, attractions and places of interest that have closed or only opened a few days a week. We can do better than this America. We are going to lose our history if we don’t support places like Tunica River Park. I’m only sad that the paddle boat was not there. I would visit this place again.

This place was a lot of fun. Cool exhibits and a lot of information as well as some interesting theories. The thing that's amazing to me is how it seems almost deserted even though it is staffed and we'll maintained we were the only guest there for quite a while, so you can probably go and have the place all to yourself. My daughters and wife really enjoyed the river right next to the museum, lots of cool driftwood and there were some neat sand formations left from the flooding. If you are looking for a place to go it's very nice, almost like a secret. I recommend this place and I'm very certain we will go again. Enjoy!

Very beautiful scenary of the Mississippi river. Unfortunately the day I went i was told the museum is currently closed down. Not sure if it was permanent but thats all I was told when I arrived. Customer Service at its Best is What I Received thanks to the employee named Jis! My 1st. time there but I will be going back‼️👆🏽🙏🏽💙

Food was horrible, bread had to have been 3 days old. No CO2 so all of the drinks were flat. My chips were good. Inside the gas station and the radio was as loud as it would go. Tables were broken down, staff just sits behind counter and waits.

I visited 10/5 Service was Awful again I got Philly cheese (No cheese or lettuce)The worker was Lazy,Nappy Hair Braids Not friendly asked for my order Then sit in the chair before even fixing it Went to back couple times..Didn't say anything While the other 2 workers Looking at me Crazy!!!finally another young lady fixed $12 + sandwich Not fit to eat The person who come after me Was served Before me A whole 30 Min Waste of Time & Money.Just a Whole Mess I also stopped 2 weeks ago Somewhat same vibe* used to love stopping when I come to town No More Until I see a whole New Crew The phone number on receipt None Working

I wouldn't recommend this place cuz the people that work there are very rude or snobbish. And when the trash man opens the back door he let flies in without a care. He works there all day and still trash is pouring out or sticky gum and sodas all over the sidewalk. I'm being nice they actually deserve one star and the cashier was rude as well for the BP gas station not Subway.
SemperFiGuy — Google review
They do not even know how to operate the QR code scanner so I wasn’t able to use my Mobile App to earn Points and use my rewards money. Unacceptable
Jay P — Google review
I placed an online order at night because they are 24hrs. I tried calling up there forst but theor phone does not work so I just chanced it. It turned out they were but I did not say that on the app. They still charged my order for $30 and without an option to cancel I figured I would just go back up there. The first time I went up there they said I would have to come back when a Manger was there so I did. The second I talked to a manager and she told me that she would have to contact the owner so she could go back and refund me. I didn't hear anything for a week so I went back up there and she said she talked to the owner and they would take care of it. They have not and it had been about a month and a half. I offered to leave my number or email but she said they already had it. If you do go here go in person. There is no way to check if they are open because the app is wrong and there is no way to call them because their phones do not work. I do not like to leave bad reviews but taking my $30 and not giving me my food or a refund is just unacceptable.
Kalimbone — Google review
Maybe the best sandwich I've had in a long time, way better than the subway on Highland in Memphis!!
Christopher L — Google review
Customer service is real terrible. The young lady comes to fix your sandwich wont ask “Can I help you or nothing. I visit on 10/22/24 and i ask the young lady to put regular mustard and she put honey mustard. She would not change the sandwich. Needs to have a class on customer service.

Fast food restaurant
Checkers is a popular chain eatery that offers a variety of fast-food classics such as burgers, hot dogs, french fries, and shakes. With its wide selection of quick and tasty options, it's a go-to spot for those craving classic American comfort food on the go.
Cashier was a lovely young lady that was very courteous and prompt. Made sure to tell me which order was which, and did everything in a timely manner. While the food was being prepared she started making the part of the order that her job such as the change, the drinks and the ice cream. By the time she was done the bags were ready. Would definitely patron again.
Tatiana Y — Google review
Checkers is a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes the workers are friendly and accommodating, while other times they seem to be hiding from customers. It's frustrating to sit at the drive-through and not get any response. I've even been told to come back later because they're counting the drawer. That's not exactly great customer service. However, when I do manage to place an order, the food is always hot and fresh. So, if you're willing to take the gamble and see if they're open for business, you'll be rewarded with tasty eats.
Daa'iyah N — Google review
Don't go at night, the people that work night shift hide from customers and if you're persistent they just yell at you through the speaker that they are closed when its a 24 hour spot. Pure laziness on night shifts. The day shift however is great, the foreigners that I assume run/own the place are extremely pleasant people.
John W — Google review
First thing first they are some of the unprofessional people's I have ever seen they don't wash they hands before fixing your food the cashier was standing right in front of me striching her butt and took the food to the window and gave it to the young lady that was waiting on her food. I told her to cancel my order roaches clawing up the wall and mold everywhere if the united States going to give these people's loans to operate they need to make them go through the property classes to sanitize and clean properly because they are nasty.
Shalonda M — Google review
Worst part of our visit to Tunica. We will definitely never go here again. I thought maybe there was a problem with the intercom but nope, when I got to the window I figured out the problem was the cashier...we were definitely a bother to her. I literally had to repeat myself 5 times on everything I said to her and she made sure to make me feel as though my presence was an inconvenience to her. To make matters worse my order was incorrect. I wasn't about to go through the experience again so we went and got food elsewhere, total waste of money and time.
Shelton F — Google review
So annoyed. Drove here for some good fresh food. Specifically asked if I could wait on fresh fries. Fries served cold and old and tasted like grease is never changed. Very disappointed with our meal that cost $23.00 for two people !! Guess I should have trusted reviews
Tara L — Google review
Food was horrible. Order was messed up but did not want to wait in the drive thru line for another hour to get it right. Only good thing that I can say is that the Employee at the drive through window was nice.
Ricky H — Google review
The staff was extra friendly. The food was hot and the wait time was short. We ordered the deep sea double with cheese sticks and #1 with no lettuce. The food was made to order. The fries were good, crispy and hot!!

Day 4

Keep it simple
For day 4, these 3 places should be enough to fill your day with something exciting to do in Tunica. Start the day with Tunica Museum and make your way through the city to get to Town of Tunica Veterans Memorial. This should take about 5 hours of your day.

Specialty Museums
The Tunica Museum is a small and charming attraction that offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of the town. Although admission is not free, it has a cozy ambiance and provides an enjoyable way to spend some time in Tunica. The museum can be explored in around 20 minutes, making it a quick yet interesting activity for those staying in the area. One day, I may even return to experience it again.
My very own home town. I'm sort of a history buff so I really enjoyed learning about my town's history. Also I got to see my father and uncle name as remembered soldiers.
Derick B — Google review
I got to the museum at 3:50pm. On a Tuesday. All the doors are locked and no one is here. Not even a sign saying why. Outside yard is pretty and pretty Pond but I wanted to learn about the area. Don't make a special trip to come. This is just sad.
Marilyn C — Google review
Stopped by to tour the museum but it was closed today- no cars, no lights. Maybe next time?
Jeff S — Google review
The museum was closed, but we decided to stop anyway to check out the nature trail - which is primarily a board walk. Apparently it hasn't seen any maintenance in years because it is completely blocked by trees, many of which are several inches in diameter. If the condition of the exhibits inside the museum matches those of the trail this would be a good place to skip.
Jack S — Google review
This museum is getting back on its feet after being closed for two years due to the pandemic, and some of the exhibits and especially the nature trail behind it need a bunch of TLC. But the admission is free, the staff friendly, and the exhibits are fair to very good. Very nice display of artillery shells from the War Between the States. Good over view of the local history of Tunica County and the surrounding areas. The museum is still running on a reduced schedule: it is now only open Thurs. Fri. & Sat. 9A.M.-4P.M., but the lady who runs it tells me that by May they hope to have everything back in ship shape and expand the number of days that they will be open. It's definitely worth a visit if you are a local or from the surrounding area and want to learn some things about the area's history.
Nick R — Google review
People there were nice. I was free, however this place hasn’t been kept up well. They have potential but a lot of the features that could make this place great just didn’t work. Tried to walk the trail but it was over grown and just not safe. Wanted to read the signs but there were leaves and vines covering them.
Hannah B — Google review
The best thing about this place was clean toilets! The lady behind the county was rude didn't have the lights on to see the fossils she was mumbling about people and she acted like it was a chore to even open the doors..which was linked! And the maintenance man's was just walking around and the grass is seen high!. Went down hill from 5 years ago!
Lisa H — Google review
Lisa Henley's review is just so much sour grapes. She always puts down everyone and everything. This here Museum exhibits rival those to be found at the Smithsonian in DC or the Louver in Paris, France. And I should know because I've been to both. As the smartest person in Tunica, I can say without hesitation that this museum is an unforgettable educational and cultural experience. The fossils were awesome. Only a fool would dare criticize one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the state! A bunch of sissies afraid of a few blades of grass and one or two vines. My goodness gracious but some people are finicky and just plain silly!!

Memorial park
The Town of Tunica Veterans Memorial is a serene park where visitors can find tranquility and reflect on the sacrifices of veterans. It offers a peaceful atmosphere for observing wildlife and children enjoying the playground. Many people visit daily to take leisurely walks, with four laps around the park equating to one mile. The memorial itself is well-regarded for its poignant tribute to veterans.
Well manicured and cared for Veterans Memorial near downtown Tunica, Mississippi. Several nice plaques and flags here.

Mexican restaurant
Mexico Grill is a charming restaurant with a well-appointed decor and friendly staff. Despite a small miscommunication, the attentive team quickly rectified the issue, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The food is plentiful and delicious, making it worth venturing out from resorts for a satisfying meal. Guests praise the generous portions and variety of dishes available, recommending favorites like Quesadilla Grande and Shrimp & Bacon.
I always judge a Mexican joint first by its salsa as an indicator and it was on point. Food was excellent and so were the prices. Try the red sauce, it’s deadly.

Me and my husband waited for 45 minutes they walked past us only bring us drinks waited another 20 minutes. He only acknowledged us when we walked out. We were the first ones there got ready to leave. It was over 10 cars still didn’t receive our food.

This place is the best! Better than most Mexican restaurants in Chicago. They do EVERYTHING right! Staff is very accommodating. Isaac & Roberto are great! All the staff is wonderful. They take pride in what they do.

Excellent food! It came out super quick after ordering. They bring chips and salsa to the table as you sit down as well and the chips were thinner but so yummy! The food tasted good too.
Carolin C — Google review
The food was pooled with grease and very bland. Nachos immediately got soggy from the grease. No one finished their food. It was pretty pitiful. But the server was excellent
Jonathan J — Google review
The food was good & plentiful, the hostess was pleasant, my only concern is prices listed online, on the menu. And the actual price I paid was were all different. My advice would be to remove or white out the price on the menu to avoid confusion, the hostess did inform me of a price difference before ordering.
Lynaa' S — Google review
Chips (thin and fresh) and salsa are really good. I had the burrito bowl and my husband had the Carne Asada Tacos. Everything was delicious and piping hot!
Jackie T — Google review
The young man who took my oder was very nice. The food was not good and I threw most of it away. I ordered the Ribeye and it had this weird seasoning on it i had to wash it off and re cook it. The chicken breakfast was small flat and dry. I got it for my dog. He didn't eat it. Even though the gave me an entire bowl of El pastor it was dry greasy and tastes funny. I through it away. Oh my baked potatoes was small dry with some old white cheese on it. I won't go back.

American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Blue & White is a charming diner that has been around since 1924, offering American cuisine and breakfast in a retro setting with a counter. Despite being located away from the casinos, it's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike. The buffet features delicious options like fried chicken, okra, fried green tomatoes, and meatloaf. The homemade glazed and chocolate iced donuts are also not to be missed. The atmosphere is described as quaint yet inviting, reminiscent of a movie set.
Great place to get a southern meal with that old small town cafe feel. It's a staple of this area. You can get breakfast anytime, they have a buffet, or just order a club sandwich from the menu, like I did. Had to get some fried okra to go with it. The sandwich is good and the okra isn't overcooked or greasy like some places. Great service with a smile too.
Sean M — Google review
We stopped in here while traveling from Memphis to Clarksdale, MS for a late lunch on a Thursday in August. I found it on Google maps and it looked cool. We shared the fried green tomato blt and a side of brussel sprouts. The food was good. Our server was friendly and polite. There were only a couple other people dining when we got there. They do serve beer as well. It seemed like it would be a busy place for breakfast. It had an old school diner look and feel. Overall good experience.

A cute little diner in Tunica. Stopped in for lunch. There was a buffet available but we chose to order off the menu. My husband was so happy to see chicken livers, and that's what he ordered. It comes with 2 sides so he ordered fried green tomatoes and hand cut fries. The portions were very generous! I ordered fried chicken. A breast and a wing. And for my sides I got fried pickles and mac and cheese. Really tasty!! Our food was piping hot and came pretty quickly. Our server was friendly. The restaurant was a little messy, but they had a large lunch crowd. It was a nice place to stop for lunch while we were in Tunica. Just good, down home southern cooking.

We’ve visited this restaurant twice during our trip to Tunica and neither time disappointed. The food and staff are great.

My sister and I were heading through Tunica, I had actually passed the Blue Plate, while we were talking about where to eat.. I had driven another three blocks when I suddenly turn around. I headed back to the Blue Plate. It is an experience in Old Hometown Cooking! The chairs are the ones from the sixties, the tables are square. There are no booths, you either get a table or you get a table. Which I love. This is a friendly, open dining experience. Good Food!!!!!! We had the catfish! It was amazingly flaky, lightly breaded crispy, yet soft, wonderful texture! You just have to be there. If you're ever in the area, go to the Blue Plate Diner. You won't regret it.
Susan H — Google review
I always love going to the Blue and White when we're in town. The service and food are always great. I love the old diner feel. Besides ordering off the menu, they also have a nice buffet for lunch and dinner. Its the place to be. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

Our waitress was so polite and friendly , she asked if we would help this little lady change her tire after we ate, we said yes , little women drove off before we got out there to help . As trying to do the right thing an help the waitress gave us all some peach cobbler ,!!! Very nice women . The place was built in 1937 so it’s full of history , the food is just like home made ,very clean and didn’t take but just a few minutes to get our food. Pretty cheap and large portion . If your in the area and don’t stop you will have missed a great opportunity to eat at one of the last remaining moments a pops restaurants ,,, we will definitely stop in again ,,,Thank you waitress for being so kind, wish I could remember your name,,,sorry !!

Worth the drive ! I live in the Memphis area with family down south. They told me about this place and I was Not disappointed. The atmosphere felt as if I were on a movie set. Quaint, but inviting. Our server was sweet and attentive to us. Fried green Tomatoes for our App & they were the best (in terms of quality) I have ever been served ! Will Definitely be back 👍
