My last night here in Ridgeland Mississippi was spent having a GREAT fried catfish dinner here at Cock of the Walk on the Ross R. Barnett Reservoir. VERY good meal! Fried catfish, hush puppies fries, cole slaw, pickled onions, cornbread and an ice cold sweet tea! SO GOOD!!! 👍😎 🐈🐟 THANK YOU!!! • #catfish #dinner #Mississippi #yum #yummyfood

Enjoyed the food and the water view! The fried fish was delicious and the coleslaw was the best! The greens and cornbread were good. Extremely kid friendly, but be careful on the dock near the water.

As a Former Manager with this company this was a great trip down memory. l enjoyed every bite. The food was great. But our server April was absolutely fantastic. She is what made the entire experience. We had a big group and she took care of every one of us and was able to get every single request and not mess up one order or one receipt. She was also very kind and friendly. I will go back just to have her as my server.

Nice simple place only a few options on the menu The fish shrimp and chicken was good

Food was good. View was good. Our waitress, Ashley was the best waitress. She was very friendly but not in a fake way like some people are. She made it a great experience. Can't say enough goose things about her.

Crab's Seafood Shack is a laid-back Southern eatery and bar that offers a small-town charm with vacation vibes. Located on the Barnett Reservoir in Ridgeland, this family-run restaurant features a warm and friendly environment with nautical-themed decor and a spacious deck. The Blue Bar upstairs overlooks the beautiful waters of the reservoir and hosts live music featuring local favorites every Thursday through Sunday.
This place is great, we walk in on a week day and no one was here for some reason. All you can eat fried grouper is an awesome deal. They didn't skim on the meal, fish is lightly battered and fresh. If you don't want grouper, shrimp and oyster are good too. Service is great, he keep checking on us and refill our drinks and food. Sitting next to the window and enjoy the view of the water while enjoying your meal is a good experience.

Craving a taste of the ocean in Madison Landing? Look no further than Crabs Seafood Shack. This is the spot to come when you're yearning for the flavors of the sea. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff makes you feel right at home, ready to guide you through their delicious offerings. And the food? Absolutely top-notch. My meal arrived hot and tasted incredibly fresh, as if it had just been plucked from the water. Each bite was a testament to quality ingredients and careful preparation. If you're looking for a genuine seafood experience, complete with friendly service and truly fresh, delicious dishes, Crabs Seafood Shack is a fantastic choice in Madison Landing. It's a little slice of the coast right here in Mississippi.

Crabs Seafood is great! It has a nice atmosphere on the water. The blackened shrimp plate was amazing, full of flavor and enough to share with 2 people!

Great quiet spot overlooking the water. Good spot to stop to eat if your boating around the rez. I got the redfish and shrimp. Only complaint I have is the broccoli tasted funny.
Jonathan B — Google review
My son and I went there for dinner about a few days ago. I wish I had taken a picture of his burger before he ate it cause it was huge and he loved it! I ordered the shrimp pot and my food was pretty good. I love their fries. Service was good. Understaffed as a lot of restaurants are right now. So be patient. Not overly expensive. Will definitely go again.

This place is best restaurant on the water. The food is excellent the views are something you would see only in a Magazine. They have live music as well. So if you haven't eaten here what in the hell are you doing with your life. I would definitely eat here 4 or 5 days a week.

Bar & grill
Pelican Cove Grill is a popular spot known for its relaxed atmosphere, live music, and American cuisine with a Southern twist. The restaurant offers generously filled po' boys featuring shrimp, catfish, and crawfish that pair perfectly with their signature Pink Pelican cocktail. Additionally, the menu includes various crab dishes such as crab dip, crab cakes, and Dungeness crab legs.
This was an awesome place to stop, the patio on the water was great, definitely a great vibe, order the fried green beans they are 🤌. I personally prefer a more traditional deep fried fish taco with slaw and aioli but these were pretty good, my husband loved his pasta as well. Definitely a good vibe and our server Red was great!

I’ve frequently visited this restaurant and the experience has always been okay. I honestly go for atmosphere and view of water. They also have live bands on certain days. The service yesterday sucked as I sat for over 10 minutes waiting for server to return with water and take my order. I finally went in restaurant (I was sitting at outside bar) to speak with manager and the server was eating. She apologized and stated she had asked another server to take care of me. The manager took my order etc. It was not a good experience but the server was very apologetic so I let it slide. I wasn’t given a discount or anything which was okay but generally managers do something!!! I had the blackened shrimp and fries. The fries were not hot 🤔 not sure what happened! I was very hungry and didn’t feel like waiting longer so just ate them. I left on boat and came back at night. The view is even nicer. They have some very nice Halloween decor inside and out! Actually it’s well put together and puts you in the holiday spirit!!! I was told they are short staffed which is not the customers problem. If you can’t run restaurant efficiently then don’t open. Customers don’t need to hear excuses. We expect excellent service if open! I recommend visiting but not sure how service will be…. But the same server did take our drive order while on boat. That also took longer than usually! She seemed to but a nice person but maybe having an off day!

Great place to go to get drinks and some bar food! We enjoyed our visit! Good service! When we walked inside no one greeted us so we assumed to sit out back! I wish it was more fans out but overall good experience and very nice area to overlook the reservoir.
Meaghan O — Google review
Really nice atmosphere and views of the water. Always has lots of parking and docking available even when they are busy. We are always greeted and brought our drinks in a timely manner. The menu consists of typical seafood options but I appreciate the nice selection of apps and all the meals are greatly portioned for the price.
Professor, R — Google review
The food selection had typical bar food options with a few more interesting things to choose from as well. The food itself was cooked well - crispy chicken tenders and fries, but the shrimp tacos sounded better on the menu then what arrived. Not horrible, but nothing I'd return to check out. The most jarring thing to me was the music blaring as I walked it. I'm cool with loud bar environments, but the music sounded both loud and muffled - which was frustrating since it killed any quality of music and just transmitted a muffled mess. However, the call and inviting atmosphere of the reservoir is tough to drown out and made for a beautiful backdrop to the meal. The service was slow at first but then our waitress made every attempt to help plus out - it may have just been a busy spot for her. This could be a cool place to pull in on a boat, though for me it's not a place I'll consider returning.
Peyton H — Google review
I hadn’t been here in years and came back for Saturday lunch. Big mistake. The food is flat-out bad. The tuna dip was watery, the shrimp tacos were a mess, and the salsa tasted like marinara sauce. This is a bar with a kitchen, not a restaurant. The food is only passable if you’re drunk and don’t care what you’re eating. If you’re coming here to eat, don’t. What a joke.
Jay M — Google review
Paper plates, dirty environment, cold fries, had a catfish basket that was close to past its prime, fried shrimp. Said there were 10 in the basket but only 6.
Patricia R — Google review
My visit was pretty food. The good was delicious and service was okay. They were extremely busy but moved swiftly as possible. I will recommend anyone to stop by for a visit. It's off the water with a live band. Very nice!

Reservoir Overlook

Scenic spot
Reservoir Overlook in Mississippi offers a stunning view of Ross Barnett Lake, the state's largest source of drinking water. The park is located just over two miles from Ridgeland and provides a picturesque setting with cobalt blue waters, lush green lawns, and vibrant foliage. Visitors can enjoy picnics by the water or capture beautiful photos of the serene landscape. While there are no walking trails, the park features several picnic tables and shaded areas for relaxation.
The Reservoir Overlook on the Natchez Trace is one of those places that sticks with you. It’s peaceful, scenic, and perfect for everything from photography and fishing to grilling and laid-back picnics. One of my favorite memories is spending the night there in a hammock. Probably not officially allowed, but took the risk, and it became a core memory. The sound of the waves, the wind passing through the trees, the starry night, and the calm surroundings made it unforgettable. A truly special spot if you appreciate nature and a little stillness.

Great place to get out and stretch your legs, or place to park for the Chisha Foka until use trail. Decent views of the water, peaceful and serene.

On a warm beautiful day we enjoyed a nicely paced trip up the Natchez Trace Parkway just soaking up the scenery. There are plenty of pull-offs to capture pictures and snippets of the history of the area, these areas are well maintained. So, take a nice lazy ride and enjoy this nicely preserved Parkway you'll be glad you did. Enjoy.

Brown's has really become some of the best and most usable trails in the area. The sandy subsoil drains fast and the volunteers put in a lot of work. There are trails available for most riders and skill levels so bring the whole family.

Plenty of room for exploration. Just to relax and go at your own pace. Nice fishing spots. Saw a couple of gators, but now over ran with them.

Nestled in a charming setting, Fratesi's offers an inviting atmosphere adorned with checkered tablecloths and whimsical candles housed in onion-shaped wine bottles. This delightful Italian eatery serves up a feast for the senses, featuring dishes like grilled chicken atop angel hair pasta smothered in creamy Alfredo sauce and classic spaghetti paired with hearty meatballs. The warm ambiance evokes the essence of Little Italy, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
Fratesi’s in Ridgeland Mississippi offers a classic Italian dining experience that’s hard to beat. I went with a group of friends and ordered the Chicken Alfredo, which was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The pasta had just the right texture, and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. The side Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, with a deliciously tangy dressing that balanced the richness of the Alfredo. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the meal even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Italian comfort food, Fratesi’s is definitely worth a visit!
Ray J — Google review
The food was good. When dining in doors, be aware that the lighting is not ideal for pictures and/ or videos. It's very dark and hard to capture a decent picture. The service could improve, especially on customer service itself. Our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the dishes served or prepared on recommendations for anything we had questions about as this was mine and my flt crew's first visit during one of our many layovers in the area. On the plus side, we were served fresh bread upon being seated. I ordered the chicken tortellini soup. Unfortunately, there was no flavor, and it was luke warm, almost cold. I then ordered a side of grilled mushrooms from the appetizer options. It wasn't what I was expecting or hoped for. I then ordered the seafood lasagna. Again, unfortunately, the seafood lasagna was nothing I was expecting. It too lacked flavor, especially w/ the seafood elements. However, my CA, FO, and the FO's friend who joined us ordered the fettuccini chicken alfredo. It looked delicious, and I wanted to take a bite. With all that said, please don't jus go off from my experience and miss out on your own. If you're in the mood for some tiramisu, I can definitely recommend ordering a serving.
FA G — Google review
Spent $30 per plate for two plates of alfredo & shrimp pasta.. about $80 altogether for two.. disappointed to see each plate only had 4 tiny, sad shrimp. I was (am) starving. I get it’s just shrimp pasta, but I figured there’d be a little more than 2g of protein for the price.. and not just a bowl of noodles. Took one bite of the bread and appetizer and felt like committing a felony just to see if they serve this at Parchman
Jon C — Google review
It's not good. Every few years, we try again, but still no. The Lobster Ravioli was on special. It had the hard yellow color and texture that could come from sitting too long in water or being frozen and reheated. The sauce was terrible. All in all, inedible. The husband’s steak reminded him of the one his grandmother used to make. Unfortunately, grandma made her steaks in the oven. A lousy piece of meat cooked in the oven does not become better. On the positive side, the bread was delicious, and the service was friendly - hence two stars.
Mysty L — Google review
This small Italian restaurant hit our radar out on vacation. The bead was flaky and fresh. The garlic butter wasn't a hit with my family. The alfredo was very flavorful, creamy and on point. The spaghetti sauce has a little heat to it. The kids meals do not include drinks. The waitress was very attentive. Place is very old school, dark and kinda hot.
Nicole B — Google review
A great Italian restaurant with wonderful staff. The ambiance is like a little Italy. Restaurant is clean and staff was friendly and the service excellent. They start with complimentary white bread which was nice and warm with delicious garlic butter. The fried ravioli was a big hit on the table. We also ordered spicy cheese fritters. I personally did not find it to be spicy but I have a friend who was sensitive to spice and said she found it to have a spicy kick to it. The food was delicious and fresh. I ordered the vegetable primavera with pesto sauce and loved it. They have a wide variety of options. My friends ordered a shrimp pasta and a chicken Alfredo pasta and they loved their food. Ordered tiramisu and chocolate lava cake for dessert which were both delicious and the chocolate lava cake was decadent. Highly recommend this spot and will be back to try other options on the menu.

Hands down this is the best Italian in the Jackson area! I love the Red Ziti, side of Alfredo. The Cesar Salad is on point. Great Gluten Free Options! Great atmosphere.

Average - seafood lasagna all she could taste was the cheese, crab cakes too salty, not enough crab and old oil fried taste, service ok except waiter kept scratching his head. Will we go back? No. Heaven forbid a fire breaks out cattle shute entrance and only saw one side door. Hope there is exit off kitchen. Place was packed so some people like it our first visit.

Steak house
Doe's Eat Place is a well-established American restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, including steaks and tamales, in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. During a visit, the server named Jeff provided excellent service by sharing interesting historical facts about the establishment and providing insights into the food. The appetizers ordered, such as tamales and crab cakes, were both delicious.
Outstanding steak and service! This is not the only "Doe's" but it is likely the best. First of all, from the moment you walk in, you feel the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The menu is fairly simple, if you're not here for the steaks, you're probably in the wrong place, but there are some other options for your children (if you are the kind of person who brings children to a steak house). We had their famous hot tamales (with chili) and a side of bread, but the real event was the massive ribeye steak. Both of ours were cooked nicely, definitely not overdone, but with an excellent crust and much too large to finish. I wouldn't bother with a lot of toppings or ANY sauce. The steak is very high-quality and shines on it's own. The owners were there and came by several times to make sure the experience was perfect, which was nice, but the waiter, Jeff, had it all under control. She DID tell us how great her grandma's pecan pie was, and she wasn't lying. It wasn't the gloppy-sweet mess you get from a store, but was light and mostly pecans. SO GOOD with ice-cream! This pie, and the location in Jackson, are why I think this is probably the best "Doe's Eat Place". It's a special-occasion kind of place, but I'm sure we'll be back!

First time here, it was our anniversary. Our server Jeff was the best, he told us some history, and he told us about the food. For apps. we got tamales and crab cakes, they were both great. Then we got the 6 oz filet and a 28 oz porterhouse, both cooked great and the au jus was fantastic. Q came out from the kitchen and asked how everything was, we told him all was great. Great place great service. We will be back

First time dining at Doe's and we will back! This is a wonderful place for special occasions that you don't want to feel overly stuffy or formal. My filet was amazing and my husband's salmon perfectly cooked. We topped dinner off with a delicious, traditional pecan pie that I'm still thinking about.

We both had the ribeye here and it was the best I've ever had!! And I've had many. The owners and overall experience left such a great impression on us that we intend to fly to Jackson again in large part just to eat here again. I wish I could remember their names - the absolute nicest people - and funny. She was trying salmon she had cooked but hadn't put it on the menu. And we were teasing that it wasn't as good as Columbia River salmon. We left feeling like family. You DO NOT want to miss out on Does

Fun & Games
Malco Grandview Cinema & IMAX is a popular movie theater chain that offers multiple screens showing mainstream films along with standard amenities and refreshments. The cinema features an arcade, cup holders, rocking chairs in the auditoriums, and stadium seating. Additionally, it offers Digital 3D movie showings and has three party rooms available for events. While some visitors have experienced issues with online ticket purchases, they appreciate the friendly staff who assist with ticket retrieval at the front desk.
Great date night choice with the wife. We haven't been to the movies in a while and decided to go and check out the new Denzel Washington/Spike Lee movie Highest to Lowest. The employees runnjng the concession stand were very helpful and even made me aware of the "secret" menu. IYKYK. The movie was great. We almost had the entire theater to ourselves at the 10pm showing. The seats were very comfortable and each chair reclined and had its own cup holder. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the comfort. Would definitely return to this theater when considering a movie night.
Walter J — Google review
I stopped going to this theatre when they started asking to see what was in my wife’s purse after we purchased the tickets and before we entered the movie. I won’t be forced to pay $5 or $6 for a bottle of water….ridiculous! Anyway, we watched the movie and went home. I don’t care for the “search & seizure” mentality. It’s simply not worth the hassle; and, we’re better off watching movies somewhere else or from the clean comfort of our home.
Dino — Google review
May look appealing on the surface, but it is disgusting and expensive 6/1/24. $40 tickets for 3, $40 drink and popcorn. Been empty for over an hour, and filthy. Saw one guy in the bathroom watching videos on his phone. to top it all off the ticket guy wasting to prevent me from bringing in my water bottle. Arcade games are broken, and damaged, with dirt-cheap prizes.
Js S — Google review
This movie theater is great, the service is great from checking out tickets, getting through, getting snacks, the bathrooms are always clean and usually the seats are great. However this past visit today, my seat was broken so it wasn't the greatest seat to sit in. Theater 2 G9. I got a pretzel that wasn't great, Circle K has better pretzels. Other than that everything was great!
Ann K — Google review
I am not sure what happened here. I used to come here all the time and the place was great. I went on 7/14 and the place was filthy. Multiple theaters smelled of urine even more so for the ones near the restrooms. They seemingly had no ventilation on in the theaters at all. I could hear multiple other people sniffing and complaining of the smell. I spoke with the manager and was told I could not be refunded cause I bought my tickets online. I did not even care enough to argue with them on it as I just wanted to leave the place cause I couldn't stand the smell. The isles were dirty as well and the seats were old with tears on them and inside foam of the sees showing or just chunks torn out. I will not be returning here again unless I am told of major renovations As a followup I called the service i ordered the tickets from and they would not refund me as the tickets were scanned. I did asked the manager the same question of how i would be refunded it the tickets were already scanned in and he told me it would be no issues so seems they either have no idea or just don't care and lie about it. So was also robbed of the money for the tickets. Further enforcing I will never return to this theater.
Crono G — Google review
My kids and I go at least once a month. I'm always satisfied with service, help and I love the ambience of the entire building. We LOVE the leather, push button control, reclining, leg-lifting seats! We also never forget to toss change in the fountain for a quick wish and we take pictures right after our movie(s) by the fountain for our tradition.
Brittney R — Google review
Went in, the theatre was HOT, spoke with the manager who said the AC doesn’t turn on until the movie starts. I’ve been seeing movies here for over 10 years and that’s never been the case. 20 minutes in the AC still didn’t turn on, spoke with the manager again who said it’ll come on. AC never came on during the movie, additionally 3 of the 6 seats from our party didn’t work.

The boyfriend and I went to see the new Mario Bros. Movie yesterday, our first time at the Malco Grandview and what a pleasant experience!! The seating is so comfy and the theater was so comfy and cozy! Loved the fountain in the middle and the ice cream machine! We will definitely be back!

Pizza restaurant
Soulshine Pizza is a vibrant local pizzeria chain that first opened in Flowood, Mississippi in 2001. Founded by Brother Chris Sartin, the restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring gourmet pizzas, calzones, oven-baked sandwiches, and savory salads with a soulful Delta twist. With a lively atmosphere and live music performances, it has become a popular gathering place in Ridgeland's The Township at Colony Park.
Soulshine Pizza can Shine On! A great local and now-regional pizza parlor with delicious pizzas, a great beer selection and unique mixed drinks. A funky and one-of-a-kind atmosphere. It’s Mississippi and Tennessee’s version of Cheers bar. The pizzas are excellent. Great crust, plenty of toppings, tangy sauce, and melty cheese. The apps are good; cheese breads, meatballs, and more. The atmosphere and decor is laid back, music inspired and comfortable. Great, friendly service, quality food and a good value will have you returning to Soulshine again and again.

Visiting family from Louisiana and this is where we decided to have lunch. It was AMAZING! The BEST Greek salad. My youngest always wants Mac n cheese and omg it was sooo good! The service was also top notch! I don’t usually write reviews but this place was great!

This place made you feel welcomed. The surroundings and art gave you that feel good vibe. Our server was nice and polite. She was attentive to us. The food was good! We started with jerk chicken nachos. It was really good and plentiful. Than we had a medium, half and half of The Carnivore and The Kitchen Sink which was very good. I especiallyoved the crispy crust. There is a bar, but it doesn't give you this is an only adults place. You could tell this is a good place to chill, enjoy adult beverages, and good food. You definitely can bring your family here for some good eats.

I was here on a business trip. I thought I'd try a different pizza place local to the area. Soulshine had a pretty diverse menu, and I was told that if you order a large, you can do half and half (half one specialty, and half another). I did end up ordering a large to take leftovers back to my hotel, and a salad. The food was delicious, salad was very good. My only issue was with the service that day. It wasn't incredibly crowded; I was 1 of maybe 3 or 4 tables at that time. My server seemed very "busy", but I could hear her behind me at the counter chatting with other employees. My order was taken slow, the food was delivered by someone other than my server, I wasn't checked on, my to-go box came late, and my check was late. I felt like with how many customers were there, there shouldn't have been that much of a delay in any of these steps. It wasn't anything that makes me say "I'll never come here again", but just something I experienced that day.

Hands down, the worst pizza i have ever eaten! Totally gross, the sauce was too sweet and there was too much of it. The toppings were few except for the large pieces of onion! The chef salad had to have been leftover from the day before!! So gross. Would never go back. 🤮

My very first visit here was a great experience! The scenery was nice as my family and I chose to sit outside. My waiter was great! The food good. My kids both enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball. My sis enjoyed the healthy self made pizza and I enjoyed the pulled pork nachos accompanied with a cold refreshed Hunch Punch.

Good service. I was seated quickly and my order was made relatively quick. The calzone was large, well worth the money I paid for it. All-in-all, I enjoyed this meal, having been here twice, and I recommend giving this location a try if you're in the area.

Restaurant
Sombra Mexican Kitchen offers a refined dining experience with a variety of familiar Mexican dishes and specialty margaritas, all enjoyed in a warm atmosphere that includes patio seating. The restaurant's menu features vibrant flavors of Mexico, including succulent chimichangas and smoky barbacoa tacos. The flagship tamales and signature margaritas like the Mississippi Margarita are highly recommended.
We enjoyed our visit to Sombra very much. We arrived after 1:00pm so it wasn’t very busy. We sat at the bar and were the only two at it. We enjoyed a Township Margarita on the Rocks with our chips and salsa. Their Margaritas are pretty strong and delicious. Their salsa is very good as are the chips but there is a seasoning on the chips that might be a little heavy for some. I loved the seasoning. We ordered the Tamales and the cheese dip. We were just snacking because we were between shopping. The tamales were good. The green sauce was the spiciest. The cheese dip was good as well. We loved the down time of the restaurant at that time so we could visit. We will return. Service was great.

Food was really good. Especially the chips. Our waitress was really good but when a large party came in, it took the bars attention so took about 15 minutes for some refills. It’s understandable though and nothing we were mad about. The fajitas were also really good and I have never been asked how I wanted my steak cooked for fajitas. Will be back for sure.

i ordered to go food for mother’s day a day in advance. we showed up to get the food at the scheduled time. we had to wait an extra 20 minutes because they just now checked the order screen. then food wasn’t cooked well and we were missing over half our order. my kids food had no sides they didn’t include our queso and didn’t even put my order in.
Spencer M — Google review
We've eaten here several times over the years while passing through. The food is pretty good. We had steak and chicken fajitas. I liked the chicken but I didn't care for the seasoning on the steak. However, my wife enjoyed the steak. We got some cheese dip and we didn't like it at all. It's super thick and we didn't like the taste. The server did take it off our bill though. The chips and salsa were good. My daughter had the chicken strips and she enjoyed them. Our server was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is fun and pleasant.

Service was good, but the food was absolutely AWFUL. The chicken I TRIED to eat was packaged chicken from the cooler section. The food was COLD & dry. NEVER AGAIN! I should’ve known something when I didn’t see not ONE Hispanic working. NOT A REAL MEXICAN RESTAURANT!

I've yet to have a bad experience at Sombra Mexican Kitchen. Everyone's so kind - from the servers to the hostess. The food is always hot and tastes amazing. The blackened redfish is great - highly recommend.

I’ve been buying the club wrap at lunch for well over a year now at least once a month. The last 4-6 months it’s just not the same as before. The wrap has gotten smaller but same price!! And it just isn’t near as good as it once was. It’s like the wrap is missing something that it use to have. I always take out for lunch but the girls in the kitchen at the take out register are always super nice and helpful.

While visiting family in Mississippi we decided to try Sombra. We were seated and what was planned to be a quick dinner date turned into a nightmare. We ordered water for drinks and a simple cheese dip while we looked at the menu. He ordered shrimp & fries which was very plain. I ordered shrimp & steak nachos completely plain. Just shrimp, steak, cheese, and chips! I received loaded nachos. I told the waitress that isn’t what I ordered. She removed it & assured me they would remake it. Someone else brings me the “remake” nachos only for them to have removed the topping & covered it with fresh cheese. As I’m eating I find tomato throughout the plate & immediately stop eating. I am allergic to tomatoes we ask for bill & leave right away. If you’re in the area I’d pick somewhere else to eat or spend your money.

Applebee's Grill + Bar is a casual dining chain known for its hearty American cuisine served in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers special deals like discounted kids meals on certain days of the week. Customers can enjoy dishes like Fiesta Lime Chicken and Bacon Burger, which are well-prepared and generously portioned. The prices are reasonable, making it an affordable option for families and friends to dine out without overspending.
This was one of my favorite restaurants when younger. I stopped eating out as much so really don’t visit very often. Went today because they offered Veterans a free meal. This has been going on for more than a decade but I rarely take the time to enjoy the offer. But I definitely appreciate what they do each year for Veterans. We were also given $5 gift card. This was unique to all establishments and once again very thoughtful!!!!! Someone in corporate really put a lot of thought into what it means to be a Veteran. My cousin and I decided to go together. We had such a great experience as the server was very nice and the atmosphere was very pleasant and clean. The restroom was also clean. I ordered pasta and he ordered chicken fingers. The pasta was very good! They also have 2 Veteran parking spaces which is very thoughtful! We serve during a war and FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE so to go as far as having special parking spaces means a great deal because most establishments don’t do this!!! I highly recommend visiting this location! There is plenty of parking and easy access if you use traffic signal.

I’m not here to bash places, & I’m not trying to be rude or mean. I’m just brutally honest. Haven’t been to an Applebees since Covid, & thought I’d give another shot. When you walk into the door, it’s a bad smell in here. The tables are all sticky. They don’t have draft beer, which Applebees is known to advertise for & I love those tall glasses. Nope, not here. Cheesesticks were ok tho. My Bourbon steak was undercooked for medium. It was still alright & I ate anyway. My gf’s salmon tasted fishy & wasn’t good. This is the last review I’ll give for an Applebees, as it’s not for us.

Ummm.. my date & I stood at the front counter for 10 minutes & no one greeted or even came to sit us. It was like we weren’t even there. We walked out. I saw SEVERAL employees walk from the back to the bar. I saw someone mopping & I saw a young man at the register in the back. There was a nice size crowd, but it wasn’t packed. We will not be returning.

Most times when I'm in Jackson with my family, & friends we must stop at Applebee's Grill + Bar. We've never been disappointed, their food is always on point. Just ✔ out what we ate this time. The prices are reasonable as well. When you eat here you won't have to break the bank. They do have special at great prices. The people are very courteous, friendly, & nice & that help a lot also. To me Applebee's Grill is a nice place to eat with your family, & friends!👍🏽 Enjoy, & Happy Holidays!🎄☃️

I ordered the fajita special and was very disappointed! My server was so nonchalant. I sent the shrimp back 3 times and each time they were completely under cooked. So I was unable to eat them. She insisted that the shrimp were fully cooked...I stopped the manager to advise that the shrimp were undercooked and he stated that this is how Applebee's serves it...we were never offered beverage refills and the service and food basically sucked. We will not be returning! TBH...they actually don't deserve a star at all. While speaking with the manager he just cut me off stating that he would remove the charge for the shrimp and I advised him that my point in letting him know was not to get the shrimp credited because I came prepared to pay for whatever I ordered, but to make him aware that the food was being served undercooked! He didnt seem at all interested in fixing that problem.
Victoria T — Google review
Service sucks. Food was ok, just under seasoned and pretty bland. They undercook steaks from how you ask them to cook it. Servers will see your drinks empty and not refill them and when you ask them for a refill, they take 15 minutes minimum.

It's been a good while since I've been here. I went to Applebee's today & I had the full rack of double glazed baby back ribs & the double crunch shrimp with fries & cole slaw. The food was very tasty & hot & the service was on point as well... You gone need extra, extra napkins eating those ribs, trust me on that.
Rob D — Google review
Had the all you could eat.... I maybe got a plate every 20 or 30 minutes...wings were room temp full of bread. I did not get full at all... The shrimp was the only thing fresh... Ordered Sweet Tea, Was Unsweetened... got Lemonade instead tasted like Joy dish"onade" still had to pay entire ticket... will go back to a Dennys or something else.

Great restaurant! Always clean, friendly service. Chicken is always hot and tasty. Not as good as Abner's or Huey Magoo's on the chicken...but their fried mushrooms are amazing and always dropped fresh.

I’m a fan of their raspberry tea but will say it’s not always consistent. Would be better if they had seasoned fries in my opinion. Prices are reasonable Would recommend them

The desserts are really good too and you get to keep the jar it comes in

If I could give 0 stars I would. The grilled chicken strips use to be alright. I went a couple weeks ago and the quality wasn't good so I gave it another try and that will be my last. The grilled chicken strips were in the box and ready by the time I got to the window to pay. Employee was very friendly but the strips were extremely dry, covered in pepper and had an odd odor. I really wish the grilled strips were better because there aren't many options to get grilled strips where I am. Never again

Trying out Slim Chicken's in Ridgeland. It was grand opening tonight, the place was about 60% full at 6pm. When entering, you order and pay at the counter. Next you get a number, find a table, and they bring it to you. Your option is to get the wings/tenders coated for you or sauce on the side. I got the 8 wing combo (all combos includes med drink and French fries) $11 + 2 to upgraded to fried mushroom = $13. I got the wings coated in Korean bbq, and a side of garlic sriracha sauce. Second order we got the 5 x 5, five wings, five tenders combo $13 + $1.50 to upgrade to fried okra. Wings coated with garlic parmesan, sauce on the side was mango habanero and sweet chilli. I like my wings with no breading, skin crispy. The cook on the wings and lightly battered tenders were great. Texture and crispness is on point, just how I like them. We were able to try 5 different flavors. Korean bbq, mango habanero, sweet chili, garlic sriracha and garlic parmesan. The 4/5 sauces were very similar, sweet with a kick and Asian inspired. I enjoyed the garlic sriracha the most, I think we just got tired of all the similar taste, it was our first time, so we didn't know what to pick haha The man wasn't a fan, he said the 5 tenders were almost the same size as the wings, I agree they were small. He also didn't like that the breading on his tenders, okra and mushroom had very little taste. The concept of this establishment is in the sauce. It's not meant to be eaten as is, that is why they offer 17 different sauces, so there's one for every pallete. If they season the wings/tenders and then coated/dipped in a sauce, it could be overpowering in taste...so I see where they're going with this. Also he's a Texan and kept saying "That's not Texas toast!" Clean place, roomy with patio seating. Big screens for games, no liquor. Friendly customer service, food came out quick and hot.
Rachel L — Google review
Look hands down the best. Bunch of sauces. Great service. This is on point every time I walk in. The restaurant is very well kept. Very clean and you are always met with a smile. This is much better than the big box stores. If you have not tried it you absolutely should.

I went there one day to see the football game that was playing on YouTube streaming. When we got inside they said we had to have reservations but they could accommodate you for $2 dollars a person in a standing area. I took myself next door to bulldog burger restaurant. They accommodated us. And yes. The food was better from a few years ago then what it was. I guess this restaurant only wants your money for standing room only for special services when you can go next door and still watch the same game and it's actually really better food. (only thing I can say is when you walk into a restaurant and want to order food watch a game and they're going to charge you a standing fee. There's really something wrong with this business company owner. (Unfortunately I know certain people associated with that business owner, that does shady things to run his business.)

Cool little place with a nice vibe. I got the fried fish and shrimp. I wasn't displeased but I wasn't thrilled with it either. My coworkers had better choices than me as they all seemed to enjoy theirs.. Place was busy and they only had two waitresses in a place that could've used 4 bars on the amount of people. That being said, our waitress warned us beforehand and still did a great job keeping up. I would definitely try them again and just get something different to eat.

Fun place! Wednesday karaoke 7pm-11pm! Plenty of great appetizers to share! The sweet tea was perfect! There is plenty of parking spot on the side of the building a couple in the front. The entrance has a long ramp, wheelchair friendly!! Music outside on the patio. Plenty of places to sit. It is smoke friendly so keep that in mind if you choose to sit outside. The DJ was fabulous! Our waitress was very sweet and took care of our large group all night. They also have tvs inside and outside playing sports. The only thing I’d say could use improvement is the quality in the entree dishes. I like the apps but the entree options we got were not as good.

Stopped in for a meal. Working in the area, we dont often get off shift until after 6. By the time we shower and change, its usually around 8 before we can head out the door to fnd real food. We always try to support local businesses not chains. But I guess we should have gone to Popeyes or Pizza Hut, etc instead. The food was not good at all! The service was not good at all. Server sweeping the bar area while we were sitting still trying to figure out what was even edible on our plates. Needless to say, we will not be in again.

This restaurant is very good! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The food is so good and there is a full bar. We ordered a brisket sandwich, fries, caesar salad, smash burger and frozen rosé. This was our 2nd time dining here while passing through town & it was excellent both times! First time we found it by chance, this time we planned it & timed our trip accordingly. Both of our salads (spinach & parmagiano) were delicious, Redfish #1 & #2 were both incredible, the crispy sprouts are a must, and the tiramisu with chocolate & cherries was the icing on the cake! Our server Chad did a wonderful job & compliments to the chef for the delicious dishes! We plan on stopping here every time we pass through!

This place was suggested to me by a friend for lunch and they did not disappoint! I met her out here as she was enjoying their butter bean hummus. The super friendly and kind server helped me decide what to order, and I chose the dry spiced wings and Cicero sandwich combo. At first they brought garlic parm instead of what I ordered but the staff was super friendly and corrected it quickly! Those wings were crispy and the dry seasoning was delicious! I don’t know what they put in that seasoning it but it should be bottled and sold! The sandwich was great. That crispy Parmesan chicken was very juicy and the cheese and toppings were a perfect compliment to that. The sandwich was so juicy, it was dripping down my hands and beard! This local eatery makes some great food , and if you’re ever in the Jackson/Ridgeland area, this is a great lunch spot with great hospitality, an awesome menu, and beautiful atmosphere. Check it out!!!

Lou’s Southern Sandwich Company is the sibling restaurant of Lou’s Full Serv. The atmosphere is really well done. It is a counter service sort of place. I have been twice since it opened — both times with groups. All members of our groups have thoroughly enjoyed our time and meals. The staff has been helpful, even while they are getting things underfoot. The pimento cheese dip and corn dip are excellent! Of all the sandwiches I’ve tried, I like The Slab (a meatloaf sandwich) the best. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The fries are SO GOOD!

Stopped in for dinner the other night and it was a fantastic experience! The vibe is inviting & cozy. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were both friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed the Comeback Wedge salad, the Teres Major (steak dish), and the Redfish #2. All 3 were extremely good! Whether you're looking for a special night out or just craving some fantastic food, this place delivers. It's a five-star gem that I'll definitely be returning to soon.

Ding How Asian Bistro, located in Ridgeland, MS, is a popular spot offering authentic and delicious Asian cuisine. The restaurant is known for its wide variety of flavors and high-quality fresh ingredients. The interior is bright and welcoming with vibrant wall paintings, creating a laid-back and comfortable atmosphere for diners. Customers praise the excellent service and affordable prices at Ding How Asian Bistro.
This place never disappoints!! A “hidden gem” in Ridgeland. The Ding How is a great, “authentic” Chinese destination. Amazing service in a welcoming atmosphere. Great Egg rolls, spring rolls, crab wontons, soups and salads. Hot, crispy, fresh meals prepared with skill and care. The Orange Beef is crispy, sweet, savory with the orange soy sauce and citrus zest you crave. This is an excellent dish. The Mongolian beef is savory, sweet and tender. Loaded with julienned onions and peppers. It’s a great dish. General Tsos chicken is good enough for military excellency. Crispy, sweet and savory- notice the trend? Sesame chicken is fabulous. Crispy, sweet and savory. Kung Pao chicken is not as sweet as the other dishes, nor is it supposed to be. Good balance of cashews and peanuts. The Happy Family will make you a happy family! Chicken, beef, shrimp, scallop, vegetables and the Chef’s special sauce. Sweet and sour chicken is the chicken nuggies for the kids. Vegetables are savory and plentiful. The fried rice stands out by itself. Great ginger dressing for the salads and the fresh crunchies for the egg drop soup hit the spot. All dishes are enough to share and still have some to-go. Finally, they have a full bar and unique drinks. Try the Mississippi Punch!

Tried Ding How in Ridgeland and really enjoyed it. I had the hibachi chicken, and it was delicious—tender, flavorful, and served with tasty fried rice and veggies. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly. Great spot for solid Asian cuisine. I’ll definitely be back!

Ordered the shrimp fried rice and the Singapore mei fun. Both are huge portions, the lady is super nice, and the food was prepared very quickly! The shrimps are HUGE. I compared the shrimp to my finger for reference. Both dishes are yummy!

The BEST Chinese food in Jackson. I’ve had Chinese food all over the world and this is hands down the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had. Crab wontons were delicious and the fried rice was good. Topped it off with a Sapporo beer for a nice lunch! Staff was very friendly and I’m happy to support this local business

I recently had the pleasure of grabbing lunch to go at Ding How Asian Bistro in Ridgeland, MS, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Customer service is top-tier. The lady I interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the split plate of sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken, which came with fried rice. To complete the meal, I also added an order of egg rolls. The portion sizes were incredibly generous; more than enough food to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. The split plate was an absolute delight, allowing me to enjoy two of my favorite dishes in one meal. The sesame chicken with tender pieces of broccoli was perfectly cooked, with a crisp exterior and tender, juicy chicken inside, all coated in a deliciously rich sesame sauce. The sweet and sour chicken was equally impressive, featuring a delightful balance of sweetness and tanginess that really hit the spot. What impressed me the most was the abundance of sweet and sour sauce provided. It was the perfect amount to ensure every bite was as flavorful as the last. The fried rice was well-prepared, with each grain perfectly cooked and full of flavor. It paired beautifully with both the sesame and sweet and sour chicken. The egg rolls were crisp, golden, and filled with fresh ingredients, providing the perfect crunchy contrast to the meal. Overall, my experience at Ding How Asian Bistro was nothing short of perfect. The generous portions, exceptional flavor, and attention to detail in every dish make this place a true gem in Ridgeland. If you're looking for a fantastic Asian dining experience with plenty of food and outstanding taste, Ding How is the place to go. 10 out of 10! I highly recommend.

Everything I’ve ordered from the menu has been excellent but my top choice is the lunch special Kung Pao chicken w/fried rice and egg drop soup. Very filling for the price and delicious. The staff is always friendly and kind as well, would recommend to anyone in the area

steak hibachi was not good. over cooked meat, "fried rice" tasted parboiled and has weird taste. Veggies were too sweet and over done. Salad only came with thousand island or ranch as options. Completely unacceptable for an Asian restaurant and a price point of $22+tax.

I enjoyed my food very, tasteful. I accidentally dropped my carry out on the ground, heading home...

Steak house
Tico's Steakhouse has been a beloved dining destination in Ridgeland for nearly 30 years, offering mouthwatering steaks, delectable seafood dishes, and local favorites. The restaurant prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail, making it a top choice for those who appreciate exceptional food and drink.
Very demure and fast-paced! My steak was very well cooked and easy to cut. You can also order a whole bottle of wine with your food and also take it home! The waiter was very nice. You can tell that some people don’t care for a certain group of people.

Medium rare ribeye and Caesar salad are unmatched! Tico’s is our favorite place for date night! The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. Potatoes Au Gratin were good but chunks of potato instead of slices (interesting surprise)

For my husband and I's anniversary, we wanted to try something new and treat ourselves to a special night. Tico’s was wonderful. The steak melted in our mouths like butter. The lobster tails were enormous. Our entire meal was not immaculate. We will definitely be back soon.

We visited Tico’s for my birthday with the whole family. My kids loved it so much, my oldest wanted to leave a review: “I thought the meal was really good. Miss Lady was the waitress and she was really good. I liked the fried cheese sticks. You should come here” 😊 (It really is an incredible place to eat! The hospitality is amazing, but the food is what makes it worth it. I highly recommend the lamb + the espresso martini!)

Bonus daughter and her husband had a birthday dinner for me at Tico's and it was awesome! The server was excellent as well as the food. The blackened snapper, steaks and large appetizer platter were delicious. Great atmosphere, timely service and cleanliness were top notch.

The staff was wonderful and fun to be around and the food was excellent. The lights were low and gave a romantic feel. Oh, and they had the best sweet tea!

I ordered a ribeye steak and it was rubbery and not charred. No seasoning at all, I had to add my own to everything. Also had the salmon and it was flavorless. Definitely wasn't worth the $200 tab.
