Park
Montaña de Oro State Park is a vast coastal park with rugged terrain, cliffs, beaches, and hills. It offers various trails for exploration and outdoor activities. In spring, visitors can enjoy leisurely hikes along flower-filled coastal terraces at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve in Cambria or stroll along the boardwalk at Moonstone Beach. Estero Bluffs State Park just north of Cayucos provides wide-open ocean views and is great for whale watching from December through March.
I’ve been here many times, I just love it here, lots of trails, easy and more challenging, plus ocean views and wild life! Great for families too, but the downfall it’s popular! Need to book a spot 6 months advance for a big area.

Great place to visit and has some amazing spots to meditate and just soak up the soothing sounds of the beach. Recommend going in the morning if you'd like to check out the beach before the crowds get there.

I just love this part of the Central Coast! Realize that this is dry camping- no electrical, no flush toilets (pit), there are reservoirs of water to use, but not for dish washing. Loved the cool weather as an escape from Sacramento. Will definitely come back! Space 48 was a great ADA space for us.
Tracey L — Google review
We hiked the Bluff Trail and got the most striking views of the coastline and wildlife. Easy level hike good for an hour or longer on the outer loop. Even an outhouse for those weak of ..... Pathways are well maintained. Parking limited so go earlier. Central Coast beauty at its best!
John M — Google review
Such a beautiful park with stunning trails overlooking dramatic cliffs and the ocean. Every path offers breathtaking coastal views — peaceful, scenic, and absolutely worth the visit. Best of all, it’s free!

This park has fantastic views, hiking trails and easy access to beaches where you can view a variety of marine life. We also enjoyed watching the surfers. Easy commute up to Morro Bay (less than 20 minutes away). Great way to combine some outdoor activities with a nice meal and some strolling around a cute seaside town.

Camping at the EV 2 site was so awesome and quiet.. The hosts are so wonderful and the beach wasn't crowded, but that's likely because it has more rocks and isn't just sand. There's no payment for parking and the port a potty at the EV site was clean.

Amazingly gorgeous. Spooners cove is walkable from the campground which is a peaceful beach with public restrooms. Fellow campers were chill and Mother’s Day weekend was very family feeling, naturally.

Mexican restaurant
La Casita Restaurant is a long-standing Mexican eatery in Los Osos-Baywood, owned and operated by the brothers Martin and Saul since 1988. Situated on 9th Street alongside other tempting dining options, it offers a variety of traditional Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and flautas. The restaurant provides a relaxed and traditional space for locals and visitors to enjoy breakfast and classic entrees at reasonable prices.
One of the best Mexican Restaurants in SLO County! I go all the time! They are famous for their homemade salsa and warm chips. Their homemade horchata with mango or strawberry flavor is amazing. You must try their shredded beef enchiladas, Pescado Vera Cruz, The Wet Chile Colorado Burrito…lastly save room for the Flan because it’s the BEST I’ve ever had…and I’ve eaten a lot of Flan in my day so that’s saying something 🙌🏻 It’s creamy, silky smooth with sweet caramel vanilla flavors
Benjamin T — Google review
Cute place and not as busy as I expected for a Friday lunch. I tend to rate based on the salsa. Their salsa was thick and rich with a warm flavor. Chips were warm and fresh. I ordered the papa's burrito filled with chili relleno peppers, rice, beans, and beef. It was more than I could eat but so good. My husband had the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. Portion sizes were good and all was less than $40 with a lime sparkling water and diet soda.

I was in town for work and I went into the restaurant on Cinco de Mayo, looking forward to an amazing meal. This restaurant was suggested by a couple of people that I worked with. While driving to the restaurant, I prepped myself that since it was Cinco de Mayo there would be a long wait to get into the restaurant or to be seated. I was very happy to notice that not many people were in the restaurant and I was able to be seated right away. I immediately ordered a Michelada with Modelo beer. While waiting for the Michelada, I ordered the Albondigas soup and the red chili plate which included rice and beans. When the Michelada came to the table and I took a sip, I noticed that it just wasn’t right. It seemed like all they did was put the beer and Clamato in a glass. There was no garnish no Tajin on the rim. When the soup came out, it was not bad. Just needed some salt. Then the main dish came out with flour tortillas. I was very excited to try this. First of all, let me say, Mexican food is known for freshness and flavor. This meal did not include any of those. The chili in the meat was bland. The rice was bland. The beans were bland. I had to add salsa to everything to give it freshness and flavor. The chips tasted like they were there a while because they were kind of stale, They do not make their own fresh tortillas. The tortillas seem like they were store-bought. I was very disappointed and then as I was leaving, I realized the only Mexicans in the restaurant were the workers and me. Taco Bell would have been a better meal. I hope they step up their game for the future.

Visited the area for a long weekend and had dinner here. Felt like a local place, not touristy, which was nice. Comfortable seating, quiet environment, nice staff, relatively fast service. I’m vegan and was easily able to find options. I had the garden fajitas, super tasty. The guacamole contains sour cream, per the waitress, so they did avocado slices for me instead. It’s possible the refried beans and rice have animal-based ingredients…I didn’t ask! My only complaint was that the side salad was a little lackluster, mostly just iceberg lettuce. But hey, it was a nice addition to my fajitas. Just had a lot of extra iceberg lettuce since it was a large plate of it! My husband had the combo plate with veggie tamale and cheese enchilada and really enjoyed it. Overall, enjoyable dinner option! And surprisingly inexpensive!

I'm so very glad that we found this place. This restaurant is not in the best location, so it is hard to find. I'm guessing that most people that do come here hear about it by word of mouth. That's how I heard about it. I'm glad I did.

Food is excellent. I can only rate the shredded beef enchiladas. This is mainly what I ordered here. They also sell a homemade hot sauce. Habanero Reserve that is so good. Awesome people and food.
Rod P — Google review
The food was very bad. The rice was undercooked and meat was burned. We didn’t receive what we ordered based on the menu. And when we brought it up we were told that the cooks send out what they like their own what even if it’s not what the menu says. Not bueno

Kuma is a restaurant located in Los Osos-Baywood, owned by the Kuma family. The menu offers a variety of dishes made from fresh local ingredients, including ramen, teriyaki bowls, sushi, vegan options and desserts. Customers praise the quality of the food and friendly staff. The outdoor seating area has been recently renovated to include fireplaces and more heaters for a cozy dining experience.
Amazing! The sushi, cooked options, and service are all amazing! If I could give everything six stars I would!

The server showed us our table and we waited for the server to come back but he never did. Turns out we had to scan a QR code which the server never told us. Sat there for a good 20min. We ordered three large ramen, sushi roll and a tuna collar. All the dishes were delicious.

My son and I likes this place, we are not from this atea but we would purposely drive 45mins (one way) just to enjoy the food here. We've been here numerous times, food is alway great, fresh and flavorful, service is inconsistent, I gave 5 stars based on our last visit, and majority of our visit I would say can be 4.5. It is a nice little place to enjoy food and company, special on their outside seating.

Loved it. They made us feel so special with the extra dessert for my husband and my birthday. The sushi was on point and not fishy. It tasted amazing. Definitely coming back again. Thank you guys. All the rolls were outstanding.

Amazing food and service. The POS roll was our favorite!
Gabrielle C — Google review
Kuma used to have high quality food. The last three times I’ve gone over the last year have been poor experience after poor experience. The sushi isn’t fresh. The avocado is old. They forget items in their bowls that are literally listed as included on the menu. Positive is the staff is friendly and one of the times a manager knew they messed up and told me and were super nice about it. That being said. Whoever owns this place has become complacent and it’s too overpriced for the lack of quality you’re getting. I’d recommend folks just go to the sushi place in MB instead.
Cooper M — Google review
Stopped by because we heard the ramen was pretty darn good, and it was. The jalapeño poppers are a must if you’re into spicy food, they were pretty great. The sushi was also very good, fresh. We will be repeat customers, for sure. Staff was friendly and helpful with the outdoor heating. Cozy, cute and the outside seating is great. 3/1/24 They have redone part of their outdoor seating to include fireplaces and more heaters, which I appreciate because we love sitting outside. We have been going here for the last several years, typically at least once a month, sometimes more, and we absolutely love it if you have not tried the spot, and you were in the area, stop by!

Decent place to get some burgers. They have 3 locations and we visited the Los Osos place. The burgers are pricey but they taste good. We also got some free fries on Friday. The place was not busy at all. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Check it out of you are in town.

This evening we came from Cayucos as I was encouraged from a family friend while we are on vacation to get a free burger for my birthday. We got here and we were met by Haley at rhe cash register, she was super friendly and encouraged us to join the VIP Club so we can all get free burgers. Hailey handed us a menu, gave us a big welcoming smile and answered our questions. Hailey told us about the specials and to check our emails for monthly specials. I highly recommend this burger joint. It was delicious!

The Desperado burger, bowl style, was a big, deleicious, and mostly healthy meal. It was a little hard to hear the ticket numbers and one of our party members got their food much later, which suggested there wad a communication problem. But the food was enjoyable and it was worth the visit.

Great place. I live 2 hours aways and have driven up here multiple times already cause the place is so great! The service is amazing and the food is the best burger i have tried in all of California! I would look forward to coming back, and would definitely recommend you giving it a try!

Sylvester’s in Los Osos is my favorite Burger/Hot Dog spot. The crew is always so nice and I watch them really help out seniors and it’s nice to see them take care of the community. The Sly Street Dog is the best tasting Hot Dog I have ever eaten. The Garlic Fries are a must have. And both the black and bleu burger and the buffalo bleu burger (the ladder is made with buffalo meat) are top notch burgers that I honestly think could win some competitions. I love Sylvester’s and if you’re reading this review, I strongly urge you to go.
Manila T — Google review
We have been here several times and the food and service is consistently good. The garlic fries have a little too much garlic on them IMO. The deep fried mushrooms are delicious, but they were out of them the last time we went. They have outdoor seating which is nice since we take our dog with us a lot of the time.

Elfin Forest is a 90-acre natural area located on the southeast shore of Morro Bay. It boasts prehistoric sand dunes, rare plants, and over 100 varieties of birds. The forest features stunted California Live Oaks that rarely exceed 20 feet in height due to its proximity to the ocean. Visitors can explore the area via a wheelchair-accessible 1-mile boardwalk and trails, which are also home to numerous mammals and endangered species.
El Moro Elfin Forest is a hidden gem for nature lovers! It’s the perfect spot for a casual stroll and to take in the surrounding scenery. The views are stunning, and the trail is easy to walk, making it ideal for anyone looking to enjoy some peaceful time outdoors. Whether you're into photography, birdwatching, or just want to connect with nature, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape!

We almost missed this gem but got to see it thanks to a friends recommendation. We parked on the street (plenty of parking) and followed the pathway on a meandering trail of Elfin Forrest and natural beauty and nice vistas. It is a great spot for birding and watching other wildlife. There are marvelous views and the walk is pleasant and easy. Good spot to visit.

A wonderful set of trails, mostly boardwalks, looping through the elfin forest. There are a few overlook points where you can see out onto Morro Bay. It has an abundance of wildflowers in the right season, and the bird watching can be interesting as well. Be aware that there is very limited parking at most access points, 11th St. being the best option most of the time.

Morro Rock, a striking 581-foot volcanic plug, serves as a majestic sentinel at the entrance of Morro Bay Harbor in San Luis Obispo County, California. This ancient geological formation not only enhances the stunning coastal scenery but also offers visitors an array of outdoor activities. The surrounding area boasts beautiful beaches and a vibrant waterfront downtown that invites exploration.

Very beautiful place to visit . Lots of delicious restaurants and stores nearby . So Morro Bay's history spans from ancient indigenous settlements to a thriving coastal town. Initially inhabited by the Chumash and Salinan peoples, the area later saw European exploration and settlement, with Franklin Riley founding the town in 1870 as a trading port. The iconic Morro Rock, a volcanic plug, has played a significant role, even being mined for Port Construction. The Spanish Portolá expedition camped near Morro Bay in 1769, with Father Juan Crespí noting the distinctive "morro" (round rock). Later, Portuguese explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo named the landmark "El Morro". Franklin Riley is credited with founding the town in 1870, establishing it as a port for exporting dairy and ranch products. He also played a key role in building the Embarcadero. Morro Rock,The 576-foot volcanic plug, Morro Rock, has been a prominent feature throughout Morro Bay's history. It was mined for harbor construction and was once separated from the mainland, with the north channel later closed by dumped rock. The rock is now a California Registered Historical Landmark and a bird sanctuary. A U.S. Navy base, Amphibious Training Base Morro Bay, was established on the north side of Morro Rock during World War II. The city incorporated in 1964 and has become a popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty, harbor, and iconic Morro Rock. The Pacific Gas and Electric Company's power plant, nicknamed "Three Stacks and a Rock," also played a role in the town's development.

Hazards is a charming Italian restaurant in Los Osos Baywood that offers a delightful dining experience. The ambiance exudes an authentic Italian-American feel with its red and white checkered tablecloths, carafes of wine, and warm service. The menu features classic dishes like lasagna bolognese, calzones, Caesar salad, and chicken parmesan. Customers can also place online orders for pickup. Visitors rave about the delicious meatball calzone and various pizzas.
My husband and I wanted pizza and a cold beer after hiking Valencia Peak nearby. We were covered head to toe and dirt and sweat from the beautiful hike so when we walked in, we thought maybe we were a little out of place. Hazards is a super cute with a cozy ambience, and the aroma in the air was extremely inviting so we were very pleased when the hostess told us that there is no such thing as being underdressed hazards. The beer was perfectly cold and I was impressed that our waitress brought us water because she overheard us telling the waitress. We had just finished hiking.. The menu selection was not overwhelming with choices, however, due to our picky taste buds we were looking for a very particular kind of pizza which they were happy to accommodate, and our large chicken, pepperoni, pineapple, purple, onion, garlic, cilantro, and light barbecue drizzle was absolutely the best pizza I have had in a very long time!!! The food was great and the service was even better. The small town, personable and friendly serving staff was awesome, the chef complemented our choice in pizza and “ not yet 21-year-old“ server, who was seemingly working in a supportive role to the servers, was open to suggestion and seemed eager to learn. Oh no, I highly suggest stopping in it hazards… but Dusseau with caution as I hear the place is haunted!

I’ve been to this spot three times over the past few months, and here’s what I’ve come up with so far: Let’s start with the good: Ragu Pasta This was really good. Everything from the seasoning to the Italian sausage was on point, and the pasta was cooked to a nice al dente. Definitely something I could order again and again. Mango Cheesecake Exactly what you’d expect—sweet, creamy, and full of mango flavor. A solid dessert option. Chocolate Cake (top shelf, middle) Not sure of the exact name, but it was rich and tasty. Another win on the dessert menu. Side Salad Taste fresh, and it was good! Now, the not-so-great: Benny’s Pizza The toppings were decent, but there was just too much oil. While the outer crust had a good crunch, the rest of it was soggy. Not something I’d order again—overall, just okay. Short Rib Ragu This was a big miss. It lacked flavor, the pasta was undercooked, and I honestly don’t understand why it’s even called a “ragu.” It felt disconnected from the dish I expected. Wouldn’t recommend. Olive Oil Cake Not a fan. It was really dry—almost like dried-out cornmeal—with whipped cream and some other topping that didn’t help much. Couldn’t taste any olive oil either. Other Notes: Service Always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a bright spot of the experience. Takeout Just a heads up: if you’re ordering to-go, expect a wait. Every time I’ve ordered, it’s taken around 40–45 minutes. All in all: A nice little spot to check out if you’re in town. The vibe is good, the service is great, and while the food has its hits and misses, there’s still more on the menu I’d like to try.

Tonight we met Sarah. We’ve been coming here for 3 years during our seasonal visits. Each time we’ve appreciated the delicious food, the lively local vibe. We’ve heard about Sarah the owner over the years through the servers. Tonight we met her. She checked in regularly and then she let us know she was acting as server tonight because 2 other team members were unable to be there for good reasons. That says it all. So much care for the food and the experience. Thank you! PS. I never write reviews but felt compelled after our dining experience this evening.

We were looking for a classic Italian spot since the kids aren’t big on seafood and this place popped up. This place serves delicious classics. If you aren’t in a hurry and want a relaxing evening out I would recommend this place. I’ll be back next time in town to try the other sauces!

I've ordered the meatball calzone and various pizzas. Place my online orders on their website. I order at 4:20, before they even open. And it is scheduled to be ready at 5:15-5:20. Always ready when we arrived for pick-up. And it is delicious!! My hubby especially loves the pizza and was thrilled when we first ate here. I love the meatball calzone. Not large meatballs but small tasty pieces of meat with a nice chewy crust. And the sauce is the real winner, for me. It's light, loose and flavorful, not like some places, with thick sauce that basically tastes like seasoned tomato paste. If it helps it is similar to to Pizza Port in Morro Bay, because of their thin chewy crust and loose(?) sauce. I'm not sure how to describe the consistency. We find Hazards to be of similar style. They're our favorite Italian food "go-to" in Los Osos, hands down. Reviews say the dining room has slow service. I've never eaten inside but it's cute and quaint, with friendly service, and maybe 7-10 tables? I've always taken my food home but wouldn't hesitate to eat on site. Hazards has yummy food with many options!! Give 'em a try!!

Caliwala, formerly known as Pagnol Bakery, is a charming bakery and market located on 3rd street in Los Osos-Baywood Park. The owner, Marcus Marren, trained under the renowned cottage baker Mark Stambler in Los Angeles and now brings his expertise to the Central Coast. The bakery offers an array of fresh rustic baked goods with options for vegans and those who are gluten-free.
I buy Caliwala loafs from Sunshine Health Foods store in Morro Bay. I am obsessed w/ the Rosemary Olive Loaf & my boyfriend loves the Jalapeño Cheddar loaf. You will not want to eat store bought bread ever again. You will dream about these loaves.:)

This is a popular bakery known to locals. It is just three minutes away from the Baywood-Los Osos Farmers Market. The sourdough bread is the signature item. It isn’t just a typical sourdough bread it’s something far more authentic. I especially liked the cranberry walnut-flavored loaf. It is chewy with plenty of fruit. My husband loved the salted chocolate chip cookies very much. After he tried it. He immediately turned around and bought another two. This store provides an outdoor dining area to enjoy whatever you purchase. There is also an indoor shopping section that sells local products and souvenirs for your convenience. This bakery is only open from Thursday to Monday. Everything sells very fast so I would suggest you go there earlier to secure your favorite items.

Welcoming vibe? Friendly service? Really? Arrived Sat Feb 8 3:30. The person behind the counter was having a conversation with someone when I entered. I said hello. They continued their conversation (not about bakery items). Looked at the breads I wanted to purchase and was ignored. Didn’t feel comfortable interrupting their conversation and say i would like to buy some bread. I was patient and not in a hurry. Walked out never to return I’ve never had an experience like this before anywhere and am compelled to write this review out of kindness to offer the following feedback: When someone walks in, please say hello back and if you are busy, suggesting you say, “I’ll be with you as soon as I can”

Very good gluten free options. My favorite is the French onion soup croissant (sourdough). Ham and cheese sourdough croissant is best breakfast sandwich we've ever had. Cardamom in the cinnamon roll is delicious. Don't let the drive deter you: worth the trip!

tl:dr - that was the single best loaf of bread I've ever eaten. In 2020 I started baking sourdough bread with my wife and we got reasonably good at it. Good enough that people requested our bread. Even our ***best*** loaf, like the PEAK of our baking capabilities, pales in comparison to what I just ate. The bread has presence, landing perfectly between too heavy and too light, right in the sweet spot of airy with substance. The texture is legitimately perfect. The crust is not too thick or hard that you can't cut through it easily, and not too flaky that it isn't there. Everything about the execution of the loaf is perfect. I had the Jalapeno Cheddar loaf, and my wife bought the Everything loaf. We were not disappointed. If anything, we were shocked that bread could be elevated to this level. If you're in Los Osos or Baywood and you're not buying this bread, please consider checking out betterhelp.com or talking to your therapist to make sure you're okay.

The best bread around with so many creative flavors. They use high quality ingredients and you can taste it. Great atmosphere inside and out along with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Super cute bakery with delicious baked goods. We got two cookies and both were great!

I was back visiting LO and brought my family to try what I thought was still Pagnols, but to my surprise it’s now Caliwala! I’m not up to date on the change but Caliwala did not disappoint at allllll. I tried several items — chocolate chip cookie, roasted veggie tamale pie, potato & mushroom empanada, and the cheddar garlic loaf. Omg everything was amazing. The cheddar garlic loaf was INSANE. Just the perfect crust on the outside, spongy soft bread on the inside, and it was baked to open-crumb perfection. I loved the large pieces of garlic and cheddar inside. You can see and taste the ingredients. I thought the loaf would last a day or two but it was consumed in it’s entirety within 20 minutes. Out of this world.

Cafe
Bayside Cafe is a waterfront restaurant located on the Los Osos side of the Morro Bay Estuary, offering stunning views of Morro Rock and the pristine estuary habitat. Since its opening in 1986, it has been a popular spot for locals and visitors to enjoy traditional American cuisine with a touch of Mexican favorites.
Beautiful location with great service. You are right on the water. The food was solid. The California chowder was excellent ( lots of clam and the green salsa gives it a great taste) The burger looked very good. I was a little disappointed with my turkey avocado sandwich. Not much avocado and sourdough bread was disappointing. Nice portion of turkey. Side Cesar salad was delicious.

This was a great find just on the outer edge of downtown Morro Bay, and well worth it. Outside seating is perfect with plenty of optional umbrellas…inside seating as well. I suggest splitting the tacos and or massive nachos…oh and 20oz beers on tap, yes please! Very reasonable prices, excellent service and tons of parking. Lunch/dinner but closes early so check times. Here’s an idea: hike the path up to top of Black Hill for great views, then wind your way down thru the state park and cross the street to a marina. The walk back to town is great as well.

The food here was amazing. It's right next to the harbor so the seafood is incredibly fresh. There is seating inside and out with great views of the harbor. My only complaint is the restrooms are not inside the restaurant but about a 3 minute walk from the restaurant.

We ordered the fish and chips, cod tostada (menu special) and the mud pie. It was all amazing! Fast service and good views. Would love to come back.

I love the cafe where it sits right next to the Bay. The service there, amazing atmosphere, lovable, the food is good, but I think they just need to work on their chicken. A little bit, but other than that, not too expensive, perfect for gathering.

I love Everything about this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid and each time it's been a great experience and As a "tourist" its always appreciated. The Food is absolutely delicious, most notably the Sourdough Bowl California Chowder but Whatever you decide to order is a guaranteed treat! The servers have always been polite and informative and that view nesr the water is absolutely perfection. Especially with that morning fog just peering above the water. Just grab a coffee and enjoy the fresh cool air. Bayside Cafe is ALWAYS a must stop when I visit Morror Bay.

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Morro Rock Beach, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Museum of Natural History. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Beach
Morro Rock Beach is a must-visit spot in Morro Bay, offering a picturesque setting with the iconic Morro Rock as its backdrop. The beach is perfect for sunbathing and leisurely walks along its wide sandy shores. Visitors can also enjoy views of the offshore volcanic plug and observe numerous birds in the area. Additionally, it's a great place for activities like riding electric scooters or e-bikes to explore the surroundings.
Dog friendly beach next to Morro Rock. The rock dominates the views and landscape but the beach is pretty interesting as well. Lots of shells and sand dollars. Good sand real estate. Easy access via a dirt parking lot (free) or road parking. What's not to like? Meh, maybe a bathroom or at least port-o-potty but that's about it in my view. Recommended, especially for dog lovers.
Kevin W — Google review
I really really like this beach and its accessibility. It has dunes to block you from wind, it’s a lot less crowded than its neighbors on weekdays, and it’s STUNNING

An amazing place to visit. Stunning beach views and sunsets. Several campsites and lots of places to stay at and good food nearby. Very tourist centric but in a great way.

Historical landmark because Rick formed by volcanic eruption. The beach here is also imply beautiful. The water is very clear and breath taking. But it’s not really a beach because you can’t easily access unless you go by canoe or boat.
Dr. R — Google review
One of the best scenery point in pacific post highway which you shouldn't miss. The beach is OK, not the best, but the rocks are gorgeous and the best place to view the sunset. Numerous birds there too, which is quite fun to get close to them. Parking is free and there is a lot on the bank. Definitely it worth to stop by and have fun.

Morro Rock Beach, August 3, 2024 My daughter & me came here & her friend's also to feed the 🐿️ squirrels & the pelicans some 🥜 peanuts! It was quite a site to see them come right up to you to get them (one right out of my daughter's hand) & the pelicans also but the squirrels run from them & then they come back again! It was a beautiful day so many people & their fur babies also. It has been some years ago that I had came here & it was on a 4th of July 🧨 weekend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s

The Morro Bay Maritime Museum, located across from Anchor Memorial Park, showcases a collection of retired sea vessels including a Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle, a San Francisco tugboat, and a Coast Guard rescue boat. Visitors can get up close to these vessels for photo opportunities and learn about their history through informative displays. Although the museum building is still under construction, the maritime history of Morro Bay is on display with these intriguing exhibits.
Very nice and interesting outdoor maritime displays. The small one room museum is free of charge but they recommend a $5 donation per visitor. I'm guessing that the maritime museum is run by volunteers. If so, they are doing a great job at it! The displays are very well taken care of. The outdoor signage on the displays were not faded at all. You can tell that whoever set up the museum and put items on display were very devoted and passionate. Very nice stop while visiting Morro Bay.

This was a great little stop for some information about the maritime history of Morro Bay. Rob was tending to and working the gift shop/ museum and he was so kind. He answered our random little question, gave us some recommendations, and showed us videos they had available to view about the town and fisherman. The museum had coast guard vessels, a dragon boat, submarine, different examples of knots. It was just really cool and right on the water. We even checked out the refurbished boat that was featured in the 5 min film that we watched. Thank you!

Morro Bay Maritime Museum. This place is my favorite place. There was no fee but the place was amazing. It had a lot of boats and boat-related stuff 🛶. On one of the boats, you could go inside the engine inside the boat and have a good look at it. It was very cool. This is a great place to just drop by have some fun and enjoy. The customer service is really chill. Overall if you find your way back from the engine room it is one of the best places I’ve ever seen. It was just excellent 👌.

Such an amazing beach. Love the soft sand of the dunes as the beautiful backdrop for the beach. It's especially awesome because you can find TONS of sand dollars!!!

This beach looks a bit rough. Big waves that are beautiful but I wouldn’t go in swimming. There was also fishy smell, and I am not sure where it comes from. The Morro Rock looks pretty. It was windy.

Escape to the quieter side of the beach, away from the state park entrance, where you can walk, run, or simply enjoy peaceful bird watching and the soothing sounds of the surf. (Dogs are not allowed in this section.) For those with bikes or furry companions, a scenic path runs alongside the shore. You'll find free parking in a small lot.

Public golf course
Nestled in the heart of California's Central Coast, Morro Bay Golf Course is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts and casual players alike. Established in 1923, this charming 18-hole course not only boasts breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean from every hole but also offers a welcoming atmosphere that caters to golfers of all skill levels.
Me and a buddy got a tee time for mid day on a Friday. I wasn’t sure what to expect considering the $40 a person green fee and being a public course. I was blown away by the staff and course conditions. The staff in the pro shop were incredibly nice and even gave us a mini tour to show us where the starter was and how to use the dispenser for the driving range. The starter was friendly and on point. She even offered us to move up about 20 mins early. We chose to stick to our time and enjoyed the course with a single that joined us. The course is well kept. The only thing that could use a little work are the cart paths. They definitely keep your cart speed in check lol. Great views from most holes and fast greens. This is easily one of my favorite courses and I can’t wait to come back.
Art E — Google review
It's a very hill ocean view municipal course. All putts break towards the ocean. Friendly staff, limited parking and reasonably priced. We played Easter 2024 and it was very cold all day. Cold wet air means the ball does not travel very far.
TC F — Google review
The staff were super friendly, and the course itself offers a good variety of challenges with different types of greens—great for sharpening your game. The location and views also add a lot to the overall experience. That said, I was playing with my son and found a few of the regulars to be less than patient with newer golfers, which was a bit disappointing. The main issue, however, was the course marshal—who didn’t do much to manage pace of play. We ended up skipping the 10th hole due to a backup caused by a slow-moving, drinking foursome, and continued from the 11th, which was wide open through to the 18th. Despite the hiccups with a few locals and a lack of support from the marshal, everything else—from the vibe to the layout—was really enjoyable. I’d definitely return, just hoping for a smoother pace next time.
A Q — Google review
Fantastic course. Greens are well kept and course staff including the marshal were just incredible hospitable and courteous. The views are just magnificent! My favorite view is hole #9 where you oversee the beautiful greens and the ocean in this magnificent picture … all while playing golf. I would come back here just for the views, but I love golf too much. I can wait to come back here. I would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends
Rudy G — Google review
Amazing golf course, twilight rates are 30 bucks and 22 for the cart. Such a good price for the quality and the views. I will definitely be back. The rangers were friendly and so was the staff inside. My only gripe is I felt like we were asked to return the carts early - there was well over an hour left of sunlight and could have finished our game but were forced to skip the last few holes. Didn't realize this was the policy until the ranger approached us. Be aware of this if you do twilight rate. Recommend
Pearce K — Google review
The course itself is amazing. Don’t expect a tour course, but I can’t think of a better value for $75 weekend rates. What really sets this course apart is the staff. I lost my glasses in one of the carts, and they the front desk staff and marshal helped locate them. Really appreciate them.
Jason C — Google review
What an amazing public course. Reminds me of Pebble Beach only much less expensive.
Christina V — Google review
Beautiful course, tough greens but just way too booked. At some points we were waiting for tees four parties deep. Wasn't fun. We ended up bailing after 9 holes because the course was oversold. Management needs to consider the play experience and waiting to play isn't the right experience.

I had a positive dining experience at Noi's Little Thai Takeout. However, I wasn't aware beforehand that they only accepted cash, which is something I should have checked in advance. Luckily, my old-fashioned husband happened to have cash on him. The portion of Pad Thai I ordered was generous and delicious. My two companions and I shared one serving of the spicy chicken Pad Thai and we were all satisfied with the portion size. The outdoor seating area was also lovely.
We had a great experience here. Though we did not know until we got here that they only accepted cash, something we should have checked ahead of time, we still ate here (thankfully my old-fashioned husband actually had cash on him). The Pad Thai we had was really great and a large portion. Three of us shared one serving of the spicy chicken Pad Thai. It was great, we all walked away full and the seating outside was really beautiful. I would definitely stop here again, though their posted hours are different than what online states so we made sure to take a picture of their current hours. small place, they suggest you call ahead for orders, but no matter how busy they are they get the food out really fast!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, it's my favorite Thai place in the central coast! And possibly even in California! It is quick, the food is delicious, and I keep coming back for more! I don't really eat anything else besides the three noodles but you don't even have to! All three of the noodle dishes are spectacular! It does depend what mood I am in to order a specific one. I'm sure the curries are great too but I just can't bring myself to eat anything else. I also order the vegetarian egg rolls because they are massive and we'll worth the price! They are freshly fried and is flavorful with each bite. Also fun tip, for the noodles, you can order tofu instead of meats if you are vegetarian. I absolutely love this place and their food so I always make this a destination for when my friends come into town.

I've never used the campground. I have however walked through the area and have been told by many campers that they absolutely loved it. You are in located in one of the most beautiful areas in California. Within driving distance of restaurants museums and hiking trails with some of the most beautiful scenery on the central coast.

We recently visited Morro Bay State Park, and it's a truly unique destination. A helpful tip: if you're following Google Maps, it might tell you you've arrived right after the golf course, but you actually need to drive a bit further into the park to reach the main areas. Compared to other state parks, especially those along the highway, this one truly stands out for its calm waters, making it exceptionally well-suited for kayaking and paddleboarding. It's also a fantastic place to observe geological wonders. The iconic Morro Rock stands majestically in the distance, out in the bay, adding to the picturesque scenery. The park is also great for RV camping. There's a small museum within the park, which is free for children. If you're not planning to stay overnight or camp, about an hour is a good amount of time to explore and enjoy the park's offerings. Overall, Morro Bay State Park offers a peaceful and engaging experience, perfect for those looking to enjoy water activities or simply appreciate the natural beauty and unique landscape.

I enjoyed visiting and hiking all around this park. From the boardwalk at the estuary down at sea level to the tops of morros, the Black Hill and the Cerro Cabrillo Peak trail, the views are beautiful, the atmosphere is misty and rest inducing, the wildflowers and the birds are plentiful revealing a healthy environment all around.

A very pleasant not too long walk on the trail at Morro Bay State Park today. Easy walk, all flat terrain. Beautiful views of the bay and native birds all along. Plenty of benches to stop and “meditate” if you wish. And of course not to be forgotten the Bayside Cafe with amazing food is right there at the other end of the parking lot.

My husband and I just spent two days camping at Morro Bay State Park and had an absolute blast! This is definitely going to be our new favorite spot. We even had a surprise visit from a raccoon in the middle of the night, so be sure to store your food and belongings safely to keep the critters out.

Def in our top 5 favorite places to camp along the central coast. Beautiful night sounds from the estuary, hiking trails and walking distance to kiyaking and natural history museum. Friendly staff. Trolley that runs during summer to take you into town. Only 5 to 10 mins from grocery store/dollar tree.

This is a very popular campground with access to the beach and harbor. There are multiple restrooms and showers located around the campground. Keep in mind that coastal weather can be somewhat unpredictable or have a large temperature swing.

Beerwood in Los Osos-Baywood Park is a laid-back tavern just a block away from Morro Bay National Estuary. It offers a great selection of local beers on tap, as well as an extensive list of canned and bottled beers, including gluten-free options. The tavern also serves a full menu with daily specials featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. Visitors can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and grab a table on the patio to watch the Baywood Farmers Market on Monday afternoons.
Cosy, quaint, relaxing space to have a drink and some fantastic food. Excellent service. Wonderful beer selection and delicious food. Great place to unwind and relax.

Lovely outdoor eating area( dogs allowed)in Los Osos near the beach! Food was delicious but since I'm a not much spice person only a few choices for me. Had the grilled cheese others had chicken and sliders. Soup was white bean and leek..with a lemon flavor as well. First time here, will come back again as we all enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

Beerwood is one of our go to spots in town! I have some of my very best times here enjoying a beer and food with friends. The owners, Alex and Annie, are amazing and their staff is wonderful. Big shout out to Jules running around delivering food and keeping us entertained, Kevin for his friendly wittiness taking our orders and pouring us delicious beer and all the other amazing staff that work hard creating a fun experience for everyone visiting this amazing place!

I absolutely adore this place! I used to come here a lot after my work shifts to enjoy some lunch by the farmers market on Mondays. The quality of the food and the variety on the menu is great! My favorite plate is the chicken flatbread with a side of fruit!

Came for the annual queerwood event and was instantly met with a welcoming and warm community space. We got the rainbow grilled cheese and vegan bisque. Both were extremely delicious and truly impressive! The sourdough is so soft and the grilled cheese was the best grilled cheese I have ever had! Highly recommend this place!

Sandwich shop
High Street Deli, established in 1927 in San Luis Obispo, started as a local market and has since become famous for its towering deli sandwiches. The historic landmark was once the main grocery store for railroad workers and their families. With a sister location in Baywood Park, this spot is perfect for lunch or dinner on the sunny outdoor patio. The owner recently opened a second location in Los Osos.
I recently discovered a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough! This deli offers a peaceful atmosphere, complete with outdoor seating that’s perfect for soaking up some fresh air while enjoying your meal. The highlight for me was their "Bayweird Burger"—a masterpiece of flavors that truly lives up to its name. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and topped with creative ingredients that set it apart from any other burger I've had. Every bite was delicious and memorable. If you're looking for a tranquil spot to unwind with great food and a laid-back vibe, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

High Street Deli – Los Osos Review After starting the day with a refreshing hike at Montana de Oro and soaking in the stunning coastal views, we decided to grab lunch at High Street Deli in Los Osos, just a quick 12-minute drive from the park. I’ve been to the original High Street Deli in San Luis Obispo before and had a great experience, so I was curious to see how the Los Osos location stacked up – and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, about 30 minutes after opening, there was already a line, which was a good sign that we were in for something special. One cool thing we discovered was that this location has exclusive menu items you won’t find at the SLO spot. Naturally, we had to give them a try. Here’s what we ordered: Big Parm (Los Osos Exclusive) Spring Cutlet (Los Osos exclusive) Deli Burger (Los Osos exclusive) Italian Sub Because it was busy, we had to wait a bit, so if you're in a rush, I’d recommend ordering ahead to skip the line. Once we got our food, though, it was absolutely worth the wait. If you don’t mind waiting be ready to wait up to 2hr plus. The Spring Cutlet was incredible – crispy, perfectly cooked chicken that left me wanting to come back just to explore more of the cutlet sandwich options. My cousin ordered the Deli Burger, another Los Osos-only item, and raved about how juicy and flavorful it was. We also did a little sandwich swap, and I got to try the Big Parm – another winner, packed with flavor and everything you’d want from a hearty, satisfying sando. By the end of the meal, we were all happy, full, and already talking about what we’ll try next time. If you’re ever in Los Osos or heading back from a day at Montana de Oro, I highly recommend making a stop at High Street Deli. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait – and trust me, it’s worth it!

A must stop when traveling the 101! We travel often from Southern California to Northern California and always stop here for lunch in between. A great variety of sandwiches, fresh ingredients, friendly staff and awesome vibe. Always worth the wait, and you can walk around and enjoy the views of the water in-between. Sandwiches are also surprisingly good as leftovers for those who like to eat half there and save half for later.

Always always great! This is a staple of the community. Fantastic sandos, friendly service & loads of fun. Their happy hour is $8.50 sandos & half price beer. Mondays, 30% off all wine & its just 50 feet from the entrance to the Monday farmers market. Families enjoy this spot as there's a play space while adults enjoy beverages. Great Spot!

Our daughter just brought my wife and I hear for the first time we live in atascadero so it's not to far a nice little drive first of all friendly team of employees and absolutely amazing food I got the Nashville club on a French roll the roll was crisped to perfection and the sando was the best i have ever tasted then the chocolate vanilla ice cream was to die for we will 100% be going back. Thank you everyone at high Street deli for a wonderful first time experience see you soon.

I'm hesitant to write a review because I love this place so much that I want to keep it quiet and sacred. They never fail with their food and customer service. Even my kids ask to come here, literally for the next meal, after we've just had a meal here. Try "Stoney Style" for an extra kick of rad deliciousness! Grandma Norma is a great sandwich to try for first-timers... but really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
David H — Google review
This sandwich shop is nothing short of amazing. The food is spectacular, the beverages, adult and kid friendly, are also superb! The service is excellent and the people are friendly too. The views are stunning and just an extra dose of beauty to make this event your next stop. This secluded area, just south of Morro Bay (10-15 mins) is located close to Los Osos CA. Try the Dutch Punch sandwich, you will not be disappointed. Ingredients are super fresh and the bread is to die for. Make this your next stop when you are on the Central coast of CA. Pro Tip: arrive after 4:20 and all sandwiches are 30% off, drinks are 50% starting at 4PM. Get in line as it will get longer as you hit close to 4:20. Shop closes at 5:30.

Looking for a lunch spot after a walk in the Elfin Forest. Baywood is a little off the beaten path, but once you are here, you can quickly see the High Street deli is the place to be. Lunchtime on the weekend was busy, but we found a table. The menu had a lot of sandwich options or you can build your own. I ordered a turkey and avocado from the menu along with a large fries. The sandwich was huge so it is a good thing we ordered to share. The atmosphere was fun. The patio has a lot of fun signs and an old beetle van on the wall. Although they said 25-minute wait, it wasn't nearly that long. The fries were hand cut and very crispy. They also have a lot of beers on tap and a hefty wine selection.

Morro Coast Audubon Society Sweet Springs Nature Preserve is a 24-acre sanctuary offering bird watching, scenic hiking trails, and stunning views of Morro Rock. The preserve protects endangered species in its unique habitat created by eucalyptus, oaks, the ocean, and natural springs and ponds. Visitors can enjoy an accessible boardwalk and observe various bird species while taking in beautiful bay views.
It's a small place at the edge of a housing development, where the walking path might be just under a 1/4 of a mile consisting of dirt and wooden boardwalk sections. Once you start the path , you are almost immediately in nature giving you views of the Baywood area of Los Osos, the town of Morro Bay and its famous rock and stacks.

Another beautiful, peaceful spot to explore during my visit to Los Osos,CA. There was plenty of parking on Ramona Ave. where the entrance is. As you walk there are views of Morro Bay and Morro Rock, also different species of birds can be seen.

This is a 4.5 star park backed by a 5 star group of people in the community. It's perfect for short strolls or longer periods of reflection. Naturally, it's a great place to observe birds, but is also home to reptiles, mammals, and marine life. It's one of a few parks that offer a canopy underwhich to walk on hot days or when the wind breathes life into the leaves.

Fantastic place to walk along some short, well maintained trails and observe a small slice of natural beauty. You can see Morro Rock across the bay and Baywood Park across the inlet. You can see birds, deer, bunnies, and raccoons, among many others, on your walk. Stay quiet and on the trails, and your experience will be a delight. The animals are used to people quietly enjoying the area. It's open from dawn to dusk.

This place is fantastic! There are walking trails in the forest and viewing platforms of the marsh. Directly across in baywood, there are fantastic restaurants.

Very gorgeous little spot. Very nice spot to watch the sunset. There always seems to be plenty of birds to look at if you happen to like birdwatching. It has 2 wooden lookout points on either end with places to sit and very awesome view points. There is a nice wooden bridge in the middle that is great for taking pics on. All while having numerous other wooden benches to enjoy watching the tide come in and out or enjoy the sunset or sunrise or perhaps some of the beautiful birds. Best part for me is that it is located right around the corner from where I live.

La Palapa Mexican Restaurant in Los Osos Baywood offers a relaxed coastal atmosphere with ocean views. The menu features locally-sourced seafood and authentic homestyle Mexican dishes. Visitors can enjoy mouth-watering meals made from fresh, local produce sourced from the weekly Los Osos Baywood Farmers Market. Despite being short-staffed at times, the restaurant's friendly service and delicious food, including breakfast options like bacon and eggs or breakfast burritos, make it a popular choice for food enthusiasts.
Best tamale and chili relleno I’ve ever had. Garlic shrimp, guacamole, flautas - OUTSTANDING. Wait staff very cheerful and helpful. Authentic illustrated chairs from Mexico!

The waiter recommended the piña colada and he was not wrong. It was so yummy. We ordered the fajita tostada (without the shell) and a combination plate with enchilada and tamale. Everything was delicious. We will be back.

🌮 La Palapa – Where Fajitas Get Their Groove Went to La Palapa in Los Osos for dinner, and let me tell you, they passed my ultimate Mexican-restaurant test: the Fajitas Mixtas. Shrimp, chicken, and beef all sizzling together like a mariachi band, and none of that sad, bland chicken I’ve been disappointed by elsewhere. Nope—this chicken had seasoning, flavor, and personality. Our server Monica deserves a gold medal in multitasking. For a while, she was the “Lone Ranger” of La Palapa, handling seven tables at once with a smile and zero panic. She kept us in the loop the whole time, and honestly, I was impressed—if I tried that, I’d be crying in the walk-in cooler. The restaurant sets the tone right at the door: “We’re not fast-food, we’re good food.” (Okay, maybe not in those exact words, but that’s the vibe). And they delivered—food came out in a timely fashion, piping hot, and worth every second. The fajitas? Huge shrimp, generous portions of meat, and perfectly cooked. In addition, a generous portion of rice and beans was included. When given the choice between soup or salad, we shared the pozole. Pro tip: if you’re cilantro-averse (or genetically wired to think it tastes like soap), skip it. I personally loved it, but my partner gave me the stink eye with every bite. More for me, so… win-win. All in all, La Palapa nailed it AND they are a family owned business, which I love! Great food, excellent service under pressure, and fajitas that sing. I’d happily go back—especially if Monica’s working, cape and all.
Deb G — Google review
We stayed at the Baywood Inn and La Palapa provided the breakfast for hotel guests only. The Chili Verde omelette was the best I've ever tasted. Ever.
Melissa S — Google review
This restaurant is tucked in between units that make up the Bayside Inn. We stopped in for a light dinner and enjoyed Chicken Posole, LoadedNachos, and a wine margarita. All were very good and reasonably priced. Bayside Inn offers guests breakfasts at La Palapa with a short menu of breskfast choices. We tried the Chilliquilles, the Chili Verde Omlette, and the Bacon and Eggs with Pancakes. Each dish is prepared to order, and were excellent....definitly not your standard "hotel included" breakfast. Keep in mind, the restsurant appears to only be open for breakfast for Bayside Inn guests.

Wow! This is an amazing gem of a Mexican restaurant in Los Osos. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had the enchiladas. At first, I thought the prices were high, but on the back of the menu, there is a great selection of combination orders that are very inexpensive. My chicken fajitas was easily enough for two. I can honestly say I have never had a more to notch meal. Beautifully decorated restaurant. My dinner came with soup or salad. Try the soup…incredible. You will not be disappointed in any aspect of the service or the food!
Kim M — Google review
We were there the first day they were open for breakfast. The menus didn’t even have prices on them. The server was very friendly and helpful. She described the meals including their prices. The food was delicious. I had a traditional bacon eggs potatoes and toast breakfast, my husband had a breakfast burrito which he enjoyed very much too. The coffee was really good, bold robust coffee with lots of flavor. They make their own delicious salsa fresh, with tomatoes purchased at the farmers market. The front door was a little bit hard to find, you have to walk down the side of the building through a little garden area. It is well worth finding the front door. I would recommend this restaurant. I have not been for dinner but the breakfast was terrific.

Holiday weekend and they were able to make us very happy. The Chile Verde and the Garlic Shrimp were delicious. I especially like the sauted vegetables that were an option. The salad that came with the meal was lovely, as were the chips and salsa. Lots of leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day.

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Baywood Park, Nardonne's La Famiglia Pizzeria has been delighting pizza enthusiasts since 1976. This charming eatery offers a delightful mix of Sicilian-style and thin-crust pizzas, all served in a laid-back atmosphere that features both indoor seating and a lovely patio.
A good place to bring the family. There is an arcade. Outside seating if you bring your dog. Pizza is excellent, with homemade sauce from family recipes. A small bar with wine and a surprising array of craft beers.

Always stoked to get the family a pizza from Nardonne’s! Ben and his staff are always so inviting and super friendly. The bar has a great select of beer and wine. Can’t go wrong with the original or thin crust pizzas but we have started to mostly get thin crusts these days. Nice and crispy, super fresh ingredients and the sauce is insanely tasty and unique. You want to get the local experience, then get yourself a pizza, enjoy the indoor ambiance with a cold glass of beer and afterwards take a walk around Baywood and catch the sunset! Done ✔️

Friendly staff but mediocre food and environment. I was very disappointed with this place because I went there craving good pizza. We got one of the salads which was not bad but the pizza was not better than a frozen microwaveable pizza from the supermarket, for a higher price and in not the greatest environment.

Nardonne's pizza is delicious! An insider tip for anybody looking for something special is to order the linguica pizza. There is no need to thank me later. you're welcome in advance. Honestly, every pizza place in town has good pizza. Nardonne's is best, in my opinion. Also, they deliver. Dominos delivers as well, but ehhhhhhh.....Dominos, as much as I love it, is No Nardonne's. There's three other pizza places in town and none of them deliver as far as I know.

I really wanted to like this place as I've heard so many good things about it, but it was ok, I would NOT say it was amazing. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza on thin crust and one order of the six piece Buffalo wings. As the pizza tasted ok, the crust was difficult to chew. Appeared cooked and like it would be crispy but it was like chewing taffy. The wings were delicious. At first glance they looked like they were covered in a thick BBQ sauce but it was not sweet at all and the heat finally got to me on the second wing. I recommend the wings but don't expect the look ir flavor of traditional Buffalo wings. I will try this place again as they have other dishes besides pizza.

Blue Heron Restaurant is a charming spot that offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant recently hosted a meet the winemaker event, which was well-received by visitors. Guests enjoyed trying out the new specials and found the sliders to be particularly appealing, offering gourmet flavors at a good value. The wine flight and meeting with the winemaker added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
We totally loved it. The grounds outside are amazing. Food so fresh and flavorful. It was so well decorated and loved the open window to watch the chef's at work. Kitchen was immaculate. We will be back.

We were seated quickly in the main dining area with options at the bar and outside available as well. Service was friendly especially from the hostess and others checking in. We decided to try a couple appetizers before heading to the festival outside and to decide if we wanted a full meal. The chowder was full of a variety of fish including a large oyster in the middle, but unfortunately it was a bit bland and unseasoned. We also got the pork steamed buns; the actual bun was very tasty but the meat was a little burnt and the pickled vegetables overpowered the flavor of the entire dish. Would like to try again the market specials sounded good, but it wasn't an impressive start.
Jessica D — Google review
Update: Swung by for a meet the winemaker event and try out some of their new specials. Much better experience than previous ones. The sliders are a great sell and solid deal for the gourmet sliders they offered. The wine flight and meeting the winemaker was good fun and good wine. The service was great from our server, Michael I believe. Only complaints were that the Patty sizes on the sliders were pretty inconsistent, the pork and the chicken were definitely smaller and left more to be desired. Thankfully the fish cake, vegetable, and beef short rib made up for it. The fish cake slider was fantastic, I think it should be a regular menu item. We also ordered the crab deviled eggs, good flavor balance but the eggs we're pretty rubbery. With the spring and summer weather coming I think I'll be dining at their patio more often! Previous: I've been here a few times now and it has been a consistent disappointment. This place definitely hasn't been able to live up to the hype. At least when Maya was here you knew you were getting mediocre Mexican-American food, but it was cheap. My wife and I, along with people we have come here with, have yet to have a properly cooked protein. It is depressing when you are ordering a dish with a pork loin, lamb, or fish and the vegetables outshine the meat by a large margin. That and the first time we came we were served by a very creepy 50+ year old waiter who tended to hover over my wife. Thankfully, I don't believe he is there anymore. But seriously, this restaurant needs to hire someone who knows how to cook meat. If they switch to a strictly vegetarian restaurant I'd be totally behind it as they know their veggies. But, other than location, I'd avoid this place until they fix their issues.

Great venue! The BBQ pit was GIGANTIC & easily accommodated the 100 pounds of tri-tip or family brought. The playground & the little school building were adorable, and the inside of the barn was exactly right for this party.

I've been by here many times, but never stopped. Now I'm here for a wedding! A quaint little rustic piece bare bones but you can make it real nice ( the red Barn )

Pretty good park. Really good for transition skaters. Not so great for street skating, but it does have a few flat bars and some ledges you can manual.

Every time I've used the facilities here has been a pleasure. The community center is great both for live performances, and for discussions and lectures. My kids love the playground, the old school house makes for a great kids party space, and the barn is just adorable. The restrooms are clean and accessible. Yay!

Stopped in by happen-stance. Great vibe...old dive atmosphere. Bartender (Garrett) was super-nice. Drinks were above average. Place offered tri-tip sandwich (potluck style...as in for free, excllent taste). Highly recommend. Hidden gem in Los Osos. Definitely coming back.

While at Sweet Springs Saloon in Los Osos on the night of July 10, I noticed a Black male bald with a beard who repeatedly stared at me and my wife throughout the evening. I attempted to wave at him in a friendly way, but he didn’t acknowledge it. This happened more than once, and his continued staring made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I got the sense he might not have liked me, possibly because I'm white, though I can't say that for certain. After feeling uneasy, I decided to leave with my wife. Just wanted to report this in case others have experienced something similar. Sincerely, Eric W

Great little saloon in Los Osos. Enough beards and tattoos to feel legit without feeling *koff*...hipster. We were there for NYE and the cover band had a good mix of hits to keep the crowd going. Oasis, Tom Petty, Cage the Elephant, etc, but a request for a Cure song was met with disdain for some reason... The bartender I had - I regret I didn't get her name - she was attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered an Old Fashioned and was treated with some wonderful mixology and was served one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. The second one I ordered was that much better. The ambiance was great with a pool table here, a tabletop shuffleboard here, and Rockin New Years Eve on a wide variety of screens throughout. What food I had was (unbelievably) some of the best fish tacos I've had in a long time. Worth a visit for sure.

Nautical Bean

Coffee shop
Nautical Bean, also known as the "naughty bean" by locals, is a popular cafe brand with three locations in San Luis Obispo. The newest location is situated by the Baywood Pier and offers excellent views, friendly service, and delicious flavors. The cafe has a cool vibe with interesting posters and stickers adorning the walls. It's a great spot to grab coffee and breakfast with a variety of food options available.
Whenever I'm visiting the central coast, I always make sure to stop by the Nautical Bean. Great coffee and breakfast items located right on the bay. The bathroom here is also excellent; well stocked with soap, toilet paper, and hand towels.

A great little coffee shop on the harbor that serves breakfast. There is nothing like enjoying a good cup of coffee with breakfast while viewing the harbor and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen sink wrap is awesome! The place is a favorite with the locals and always busy. Well worth a drive from Morro Bay to check out.

I wish I had found this cafe earlier on my stay. I had lunch there this morning and I loved the food, the setting across the bay, the prices are great. The menu is limited but I could find something to try every day. I had the Lox on toasted Bagel and it was delicious and filling. They have great pastries as well. I’ll definitely be back before I leave.
Laura E — Google review
I thought it was a perfect place to stop spend a bit of the morning with a latte and journal before continuing north to Cambria. The barista was friendly and helpful. I loved that she knew the regular people and their drinks - there is just something refreshing to hear “morning Diane your usual?”
Trina S — Google review
The coffee was fantastic, and so is the beautiful view of the bay. What a cool place to hang out. The only thing I would ask is that they move the line a little bit faster so that we’re not standing there most of the time when we’re trying to hang out with our friends. Even if the orders are backed up at least get people through the line quicker so we can go sit down and chat and hang out by the bay and wait for our name to be called. Versus standing out in line for 20 minutes.

I walked into the Nautical Bean in Morro Bay on the first day it is open to the public and I was impressed with the remodel of the space. It is similar in style with the two other Nautical Bean locations that I have been to in SLO and Los Osos/ Baywood. I was served by the owner Brett Jones, and his mother and other family members. They were very nice to speak with and welcoming. The space was comfortable and visually has many interesting focal points. The Wifi is good along with the tunes. I'm looking forward to returning again, even before I'm done writing this review.

I really love the vibe and aesthetic, there nothing like going to your local coffee shop with the perfect view of the harbor, and sitting near the water hearing the harbor, and the quality is always on point. Niffy's Merrimaker in Los Osos has undergone a stunning remodel, boasting a modern and clean look that fits in perfectly with the surrounding restaurants. The addition of a spacious patio with ample seating and a stage for live bands adds to its appeal. Adjacent to the outdoor patio is an impressive food truck, making it an ideal spot for enjoying food, drinks, and live music.

We love this bar! Not a pick-up joint. This is a place to have a stiff drink, talk story and watch TV. Definitely a Cheers type atmosphere. A couple of busy pool tables and a small patio room to smoke. A Monday must, after shopping at the Farmer's Market across the street, from 2-4:30pm. No food here, but there are some great places within walking distance. Did I say we LOVE this bar? UPDATE: Changed my 5 star rating to a 3. The bar was sold and redone. Not the same ole dive bar. We didn't feel as welcome, the crowd was not the same, new bartenders and furniture. They updated the bathroom which seems to make most people happy. But that said, the new bathroom isn't enough of a draw for us. We haven't been back except for the one time and don't have any plans to. If we return again and I feel differently, I'll be sure to update my review. If you enjoy the new look and feel, right on! Someone needs to keep the doors open. 2/14/2022 - UPDATE: How many times can I re-review this place? Answer: As many times as it takes. Today, while dining on the patio of High Street Deli, my husband noticed movement at the Merrimaker. We rode our bikes down here, expecting it to be closed, but to our pleasant surprise, they were open. A quiet soft opening to allow locals to get to enjoy it first. As mentioned in other reviews, the Dive Bar ambiance of the ole Merrimaker is gone. However, that said, the Merrimaker, as it is today is a fun and satisfying place to grab a drink. Once in the door, it's up to you to manifest your own experience. Nuzzle up to the gorgeous wooden bar, or sit at the bistro style tables. One of the pool tables survived but the karaoke is gone. I never partook in either, so I don't feel the change. We truly enjoyed sitting at the bar, today, as locals walked in and cheered at their afternoon serendipity. It's still conveniently located near the east end of the Monday Farmer's Market. I've changed my 3 star rating back to 5 stars. The snobby crowd wasn't present today. The friendly Merrimaker crowd was present. Hope the crowd stays cool, down to earth, and welcoming to all, as it felt today. Gary was exactly what we needed, in a bartender, redeeming the Merrimaker as the friendly neighborhood bar we were used to. Again, not the dive bar we all knew and loved, but it was warm and friendly, with great drinks and very down to earth service. That's about all I need in a bar. Go check 'em out. ❤ Currently open 11am-? F-M.

Nestled in the charming Baywood area of Los Osos, Noi's 2nd Street Café is a culinary gem that has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike. Founded by sisters Noi and Doi, who brought their Southeast Asian roots to America decades ago, this café offers more than just traditional Thai fare. After gaining fame at her previous establishment, Nois Little Thai Takeout, Noi expanded her culinary horizons with this new venture.
Great friendly service, very affordable prices, delicious food. There's plenty of outside seating and a nice cute patio.

Best Thai food I’ve ever had, incredibly nice people too. I got the Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, Thai iced coffee, Thai tea, and the Carrot Cake. Best Thai food in SLO area. They provide several spicy options. Garlic sauce makes huge difference on the flavor. We love their food so much. Highly recommended by locals.

Very poor quality food for the price you pay. No table service, everything is served in takeaway containers with plastic cutlery, even if you eat in....but they do expect a tip. Fried calamari si just fried, not so much calamari. The rice chicken is 85% rice and 15% chicken. The lemonade and the coconut water are both from the supermarket, nothing is freshly made. Honestly, for $65 I think you can eat much better somewhere else.

I was looking for a place that I could take my dog with me they have an outdoor patio that I can sit with my dog. And even though it was close to closing time the lady was very kind and we were able to place our order and eat while they were cleaning up. They only have outdoor seating but it was a covered patio. I thought the pad thai that I had was very good and would definitely go back when I'm in the area

Restaurant has charming and cozy outdoor seating. Food is outstanding. Vegetables are fresh and artfully prepared. I have never been disappointed when ordering entrees to be made "Thai Spicy"! For the finest Chinese cuisine in Los Osos Baywood, there is no need to search any further than Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant. This establishment offers a delightful range of traditional dishes, along with some pleasant surprises. Enthusiasts of Chinese food will relish favorites such as General Tsaos Chicken, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, and Szechuan Pork. The service provided here is exceptional and inviting, while the quality of the food itself is excellent.
Had the pleasure of dining here.  The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy meal. Food: The dishes were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the sweet and sour pork and the combination Lo mein. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Service: The service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Value: The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It’s definitely worth every penny. Overall, Hong Kong is a fantastic place to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine. I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!

Dinner at Hong Kong today was excellent. My friends in Los Osos recommended this place and they were right! I’ve been to enough Chinese restaurants to recognize the flavor of a dish that is prepared with pre-made sauces and other ingredients, that’s not the case at all at Hong Kong. The veggies in the Chop Suey were cooked to the point where they still kept some crunch, the sauce did not come from a bottle and everything tasted like they made it when I ordered it. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. Service is excellent as well. I’m definitely going back before I leave.

Nestled in the charming town of Los Osos, Martin's Restaurant offers a delightful twist on classic Mexican cuisine that many Californians have come to love. The atmosphere is refreshingly clean and inviting, steering clear of the typical overly vibrant decor often found elsewhere. Families will appreciate the spacious seating options, including tables and booths perfect for gatherings.

Really a pleasant surprise !!! To have another choice for great Mexican food in Los Osos is truly a blessing. Everything we had was most excellent AND the service was outstanding. I am putting this as my first choice and look forward to a quick return....

While it's still just the typical quasi-Mexican-food most Californians grew up eating, it is tasty, not hopelessly overpriced, and a good place to take the family. The decor is fresh, clean and not overdone - a lovely & pleasant relief from the typical orange-red-green faux adobe paint jobs. The staff is pleasant and attentive, but the management really needs to add more staff during the dinner & happy hours.

Los Osos Oaks State Reserve, established in 1972, spans 85 acres and is home to ancient oak trees adorned with Spanish moss. Visitors can explore the sage scrub and observe wildlife while walking along the trails. The reserve also offers interpretive displays that shed light on the Chumash Native American heritage. For those seeking more adventure, nearby attractions include Elfin Forest Natural Area and Montana de Oro State Park.
First time. It was a beautiful day for another drive. We stopped and walked a small distance under the trees. It was very quiet no one was there. There is a small place to park off the road. Can't wait to go back and walk more.
Karen Z — Google review
Have been here many times due to living in the area. It’s beautiful and serene. Great place to just be and take it all in. Love the fact not a lot of people go here. The oaks are gorgeous and make for fantastic photos. Saw a few rabbit, crows and a woodpecker. Some of the trails were a little muddy due to the recent rains, but nothing horrible. The people complaining about the trails not being clear or marked? Just enjoy nature and let them take you where they will. FYI there is a lot of poison oak, so warn and teach your kids what to look for. As well as ticks! We came home with a few hitchhikers, one being embedded in the collar of my son’s flannel. So really look well! Blech! next time we will use OFF!
Shawn S — Google review
This was a beautiful hike. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do the entire loop due to very muddy paths, but the trees were lovely. There was hardly any elevation, so it was a nice departure from the elevation we experienced earlier the same day at Bishops peak.
Margaret R — Google review
Free entry into a beautiful and unique forest of ancient oaks draped in Lace lichen. Poorly marked trails could get muddy after a rain… but one could always use the sound of the road near the entrance to get back to the parking area. Very few visitors make for a peaceful experience!
Josee — Google review
Trails are not marked or maintained. Got lost a few times. Even when I did see a sign it didn't help! The trees are wonderful but it's not enjoyable to try to figure out how to get out of there.
Karen L — Google review
TICKS!!!!!! They are all over ends of branches EVERYWHERE!!!! We turned around and were unable to hike on any trails. Too bad. Beautiful on the bridge right at the beginning.
Mario R — Google review
An unique experience walking these trails. Abundant ancient oaks and think coastal vegetation.
Suketu B — Google review
Beautiful oak reserve with ample flora & fauna to observe. Lots of trails to explore, but not all of them are properly marked or well-maintained, so be careful. Also lots of poison oak and mud after the rain. Still worth the visit and will return again next season.

This is a pretty mellow skatepark with lots of smooth transitions and banked turns. Not many street obstacles but a fun park for vert riders. The neighborhood across the street has some great hills for longboarding! Also, we saw other reviews about a fee and rules being enforced.. that sounds super frustrating. When we visited we didn't experience that, we just walked in and skated like at most skateparks. Maybe we got lucky?

This is a Great place to go! There is a Playground for the kids. There is a Disc golf course as well as a few tennis courts. There is also a skate park with some vert ramps and a few bowls and also a few rails to grind! A walking path around a nice green grass field and a big red barn to rent out for events! The los osos library is just across the street as well as a little nature reserve hiking trail area. Outdoor public restrooms that aren't porta potties.

So the park itself is incredible. Great design and flow. How I feel about paying employees to guard it's gates 365 days a year on my tax dollars? Super bummed! Helmet's should be enforced, but knee and elbow pads? A bit overkill. Also very dissapointed there is no allotted time for bikes to ride. So instead we have kids jumping the fence to enjoy the park after hours. Which in the end creates even more danger. If someone get's hurt and there's a 5 foot locked fence in the way. Just my 2 cents.

Baywood Park Pier

Park
Baywood Park Pier is a serene and peaceful spot located at the intersection of 2nd Street and El Morro Ave, offering a quiet place to enjoy the estuary of Morro Bay. Visitors can relax, watch the tide, and observe various bird species with binoculars. The area is perfect for easy kayaking, but it's important to check the tide before heading out. Nearby, there's the quaint Back Bay Cafe where visitors can grab coffee or tea and treats.
Very cool area, most Morro Bay visitors miss out on this area. If you drive down South Bay Blvd. toward Los Osos don't miss this area. There is a cool painted bear here, I posted a photo and more of the area from the street. Looks like a good restaurant nearby but I didn't eat there

Beautifully quaint little pier right at shoreline of Morro Bay with quiet shallow wetlands and its small boats off the beaten path of tourism. This is just the perfect spot to breath in the calm of the bay and hear the silence of nature. I like to stop here to recharge and meditate.
Kay W — Google review
Serenity, peacefulness, quiet, relaxing. Have a seat along the Back Bay pier of Morro Bay , watch the tide roll in or out. Or the fog creep in. Bring binoculars to spot the many kinds of birds doing the same. Great place to put in for easy kayaking, but make sure you check the tide. Grab a coffee, or tea and goodies at the quaint Back Bay Cafe. Walk or drive around to Sweet Springs park for more beautiful nature, and short trails. Enjoy.

Beautiful little Pier area with a nice shop for some snacks; check out the cow.

Morro Bay Estuary

4.6
(31)
Nature preserve
Morro Bay Estuary, located in Morro Bay, is a unique and vital area that supports hundreds of bird species year-round or during winter migration. The estuary has become a protected reserve, serving as a buffer between the bay and housing areas. Visitors can enjoy kayaking in the serene landscape and observe diverse bird species, especially during winter. Accessible only by kayak at high tide, this saltwater mud marsh offers excellent birdwatching opportunities but limited parking.
Some amazing birds to see and the scenery is quite easy on the eyes.
Neil L — Google review
I felt it was a little depleted. Didn’t see much animals.
Suzy K — Google review
What can you say about a saltwater mud marsh that is practically inaccessible except by kayak, and only when the Tide is high? There are a lot of birds to look at, but you'll need binoculars. And parking is very limited here, as it lies alongside the only road, one lane each direction, between Morro Bay and Los Osos. But if you like to look at birds from a distance, and you like the smell of decaying marine life, mixed with decades of septic tank runoff from the quaint hamlet of Los Osos/Baywood Park (pop. 12,000+), you'll love this estuary.

Pizza delivery
If you're on the hunt for a delicious meal that hits the spot, look no further than Domino's Pizza! This popular delivery and carryout chain offers an extensive menu featuring not just their signature pizzas but also mouthwatering oven-baked sandwiches, pasta dishes, and tasty sides. Many patrons have been pleasantly surprised by how much the quality has improved over the years; what was once considered mediocre is now celebrated for its amazing flavors.
Today I had my best Domino’s experience ever! I came into the store with no idea, but those guys were extremely kind and helpful. Pizza was ready in time and delicious too. Thank you guys! 5 stars isn’t enough!
Familie D — Google review
Went there to get some pizza after a long drive in the evening. I wanted to get 4 pizzas for my family and asked the guy for recommendations. He indeed told me about the best offers and the second guy came to take my order after. Both were extremely friendly and instantly got me into a happy mood. With people like this ordering and eating pizza is way more enjoyable. Need more people like this!!!
Pia D — Google review
At least 2 times a month I have... substance caused cravings and order absolutely ridiculous, over the top pizzas. I never once been dissatisfied. These people care about what they do and always deliver. Absolutely amazing.
Gage M — Google review
I am delighted to write a review for store #8147. I am truly impressed with the quality of service provided to my husband and friends. Maddison Harless went above and beyond to ensure the order was perfectly handled, and the driver, Samuel Lopez, did an excellent job delivering the food promptly and hot, making for a delightful meal after a long day. They all remarked that it was "the best pizza they have ever had from Domino's." Thank you once again for the outstanding work and exceptional customer service. It's refreshing to finally interact with a representative from a major company that genuinely cares about customers' needs, not just the profit. Keep up the great work!

Wonderful, enthusiastic staff. Was a pleasant visit. Got a great deal and a great pizza! Awesome job, Domino's! Shout out to the guy with the long hair on the register! Then you for being so helpful!
Ashley V — Google review
Honestly, I remember as a kid how horrible Dominoes was. I don’t know what happened, but their food is AMAZING now. The pizza is good, the sandwiches and breads are delicious, and I was pretty impressed with the chicken and pasta options. This particular location is super quick, awesome service, and the quality is always amazing and consistent. Did I mention the prices are fantastic?! This Mom is super stoked to have this as a secret weapon go to meal.

Best dominoes around. They say it’s because of the oven. It’s a Pizza Hut oven or something the guy said.
Aaron A — Google review
We love this locally owned Domino's. The food is delivered promptly after it's prepared and is always delicious. It may just seem like another chain restaurant, but the staff really does take care in making your order. Always a go-to when we don't feel like cooking!

Pizza restaurant
Nichols Pizza N Grill is a popular spot in Los Osos, CA, known for its delicious American burger combo and a variety of pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, and beers. The burger is highly recommended for its perfectly seasoned meat and soft, fresh bun. The pizza dough is described as crispy outside and chewy inside, with customizable options available. Customers praise the friendly service and great atmosphere at this eatery.
My husband and I found this place just 8 minutes from our hotel, when we were starving and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing. Our waitress understood our need for a TON of ranch. They had a decent beer selection too. If only we didn't live so far away, I could see us becoming regulars here. (Also, the mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever had.)
Amanda M — Google review
The food is great, great little arcade for the kids, sports on every TV, great beer selection, and outdoor seating. We frequent Nichols because they have great beer specials and a great menu. Their pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers are all good. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but there hasn't been one thing we don't like. The "nachos" are one of my favorites snacks. The staff is all great and more often than not the owners are there and are really nice people.
Nathan D — Google review
Always a fun, friendly place to stop at when we're in town; it's now become a staple of our schedule. Excellent pizza, lots of options plus burgers, sandwiches, pasta and so much more! Lots of 🍺 options, ciders and regular bar selections. Plenty of TVs to satisfy the doors fanatic on you, too and video games for the kids. Family friendly and great for groups.
Lynn M — Google review
This is a great restaurant all around. The staff is perfect. The pizza and bread sticks are my favorite in town. Delivery is fast and reliable. They have an arcade with some awesome games like time crisis. At least 10 beers on tap I believe and draft root beer! Deserts are good but be careful, you'll be hooked!
Jay W — Google review
I ordered the full- size Meatball sandwich with fries and I received the absolutely best tasting Meatball sandwich that I have had to date. A very hearty tasting and fresh roll with a slight toast to it complemented the large meatballs with a wonderful tasting sauce. Great service and atmosphere and a classic rock music in the background will make Nichols Pizza a frequent stop for me in Los Osos!
Bigpetey1970 — Google review
We have been going to Nichols for years and absolutely love their food. In particular, their Veggie Osos pizza with the white sauce is amazing, and their Rock Burger is one of the best hamburgers on the Central Coast! Great food and fun atmosphere!
Gregg K — Google review
Love this place. Today I tried the burger (the American burger combo). I have to say it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. Much better than the popular burger spot here in town, and a better value too! The meat was seasoned perfectly, the bun was soft, fresh, and delicious, and the burger sauce was so good I dipped my fries in what fell from the burger. They also have pizza, calzone, sandwiches, and a super selection of beers! If you’re in Los Osos and hungry, try it. I think you’ll be really happy. Also. The music they play is really good; a great casual dining experience.
G. M — Google review
Was there about 2 weeks ago. Food and service were pretty good but could have been a little quicker. Prices are fair. I had a calzone with a few extra toppings and was around $12 or so. Decent selection (not huge) of beers and soft drinks.

Italian restaurant
The recent updates to the menu and restaurant have been well-received, with many praising the quality of the food and friendly staff. Dishes such as the Kook Pizza and Meatballs have been highlighted as favorites, while desserts like the Honey Lavender Cupcakes have also garnered positive feedback. The Italian cuisine is highly recommended, with standout items including Fried Ravioli appetizers, Manicotti in homemade pasta, and Caprese salad.
Hazards has a super cute and relaxed feel with lovely local touches. The food is delicious! Noticeably fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. I had a larger group so I was able try a variety of items from pizza, pasta and salad too. Can't wait to go back!

Best pizza in Osos. Also 3 star Jacob is hilarious. First of all, learn how park? Call ahead of time or Cook for your whiney kids instead then. dont take it out on a local restaurant who kill it and are giving their best with 3 stars bc you need things faster
Douglas S — Google review

A food was very good. Something definitely different. I've been eating on the Central Coast for years and had not tried this place. Don't know how new it is. Definitely, we'll be back. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Thanks again, guys.

Hazards is a hidden gem of Los Osos. We did not expect to get authentic Italian food the first time we gave it a try -- but the food was terrific and we've come back dozens of times since them. Great veg options too and just a really great family-run atmosphere. Try to call ahead if you can!
