Ski & Snowboard Areas
Lutsen Mountains is a winter sports area with over 90 trails spread across four mountains, featuring modern chair lifts, lodging, and dining options. Nestled in Cook County, it offers dramatic mountainous terrain and stunning views of Lake Superior. Visitors can partake in activities such as hiking, biking, sightseeing, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding.
Can’t beat Lutsen for an easy ski vacation that actually feels like a mountain getaway. They have a lot of terrain, and the best views of Lake Superior. The kids really love the Gondola ride, and I enjoy fast laps on the high speed 6 packs to get my ski vertical fix! We have had season passes for 4 years now and regularly come up from the Minneapolis area in the winter. I’d much rather drive with all the family’s ski equipment on a regular basis to Lutsen because of how easy it is and the price when you have a season passes. Not saying ski trips out West aren’t great, they’re just not nearly as convenient and happen much less often.

This is worth checking out!! The alpine slide was soooo fun! All ages can do it :) the gondola had amazing views!! If you buy tickets in advance online you can sign waivers ahead of time!
Bailey P — Google review
We had a great time here for a few hours. Seems pretty pricey but also a pretty unique experience. We can go to an entire theme park at home for the price of the alpine slides here. But like I said pretty fun nonetheless. Be nice if they sold more snacks and such. We all just ate like a candy bar from the store.

We booked the Signature Gondola Experience at Lutsen Mountains to take in the fall colors, and it was such a fun way to spend a crisp autumn day! The experience included priority boarding, delicious cookies and bottled water, plus a free drink ticket to use once you reach the top. Such a nice touch that made the ride feel extra special. Even though the fall colors were just past peak, the views were still absolutely beautiful. The view of Lake Superior and the rolling hills made for an unforgettable ride. I’ll definitely be back next year; hopefully right at peak color to catch the vibrant red colors in all their glory. A must-do North Shore experience!
Kelsey B — Google review
This is a review of the summit express gondola ride during peak fall. Saturday we drove a total about 15 hours from Minneapolis to Lutsen just to ride the gondola and see the fall colors. We bought our tickets online a week in advance and yet we still had to wait in one line like everyone else. There is no separate line for those who buy their tickets online and the line can get pretty long. After waiting in line about a little over an hour the fun really began. Once on the gondola the views are amazing, it’s a smooth and scenic ride then you get off at the top of the mountain. You get to see beautiful views of Lake Superior and see the beautiful fall colors of the trees from the trails. The food wasn’t anything special, just a bunch of fried foods and quick bites which we decided to go without. I feel like overall I did have a good experience because I wanted to ride the gondola and I got some great pics. However, be patient, the lines can get pretty long, you may have to ride the gondola with a stranger unless you have a party of 4-5. If you have kids come prepared, the wait times can vary from 1.5 to 2 hours in the lines going up and down the mountain. Dogs are welcomed, there is overflow parking and they do not accept cash.
Markeda D — Google review
We did the gondola ride up to mount lutsen! The ride was great! Such pretty views and especially awesome at the top! It cost $35 per person to ride, which i thought was very expensive!
Susan C — Google review
Waited in line 30 minutes to buy 4 gondola tickets (2 adults, 2 kids), then have to wait in another line about an hour for our gondola. Gondola holds 8, so have to sit with strangers, which isn't horrible, but for $110 for tickets, we should have a choice. Gondolas were muggy and smelly. The ride does bring you way up to another "mountain" top with an amazing view of lake Superior and the fall colors, and an overpriced food and drink shack, but then again wait in line, to get back down. Total travel time in gondola (up and down) was about 10 minutes. 4 hours to drive up there, 2 hours of waiting in line, and a 10 minute ride, just doesn't seem worth it when you can just park up by the resort and hike for free and see the same trees and views.
Shawn B — Google review
This was our first time here and I was excited. Our room was nice and clean and the staff were great! In my opinion, the gondola ride was expensive and I thought we should have had a discount for the gondola and alpine slide since we were staying two nights. The restaurant at the top of the mountain was good but also on the expensive side. A lot of hiking options in the area. The pool and hot tub were great! The internet was cut off both nights at 10 pm. I thought it was odd. Not a lot of restaurants or food options in the area. We headed to Grand Marais for dinner.

Summit Express Gondola

Hiking area
The Summit Express Gondola at Lutsen Mountains offers a scenic ride for non-skiers to enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the surrounding greenery. Accessible from the main chalet base or Moose Access, this gondola provides access to hiking trails and an alpine slide in the summer. Visitors can expect stunning vistas and a fun family experience, making it ideal for all ages.
It’s was $30 per adult. No line for us. Parking was tricky. We went there just for the gondola. Not the carts. Everyone and everything was lovely. Takes about 5-8 minutes to get up the mountain. There is a restaurant cafeteria up there too with a beautiful unique view of Lake Superior.
Jennifer C — Google review
I went here as a child. My children have ridden them every year as a strong family tradition. Now it’s pay to play. Stuffing the gondolas with other riders, no more unlimited ride tickets, no one way tickets for hiking down AND others can pay more to skip ahead and take private trips. Just a year ago my wife, two kids and myself would ride up and down all day in our own gondola. Stop at the top for food and ride and ride. Looks like those days are gone and I’m very sad. Greed, it’s all it is. Greed.

Came on Friday 9/26/25 @ 10:30 and there was a short line. Was surprised that it wasn't busier but sounds like the weekends are crazy. Gorgeous views, so many happy dogs, definitely recommend (even if the price is a little steep). Was sad the alpine slide wasn't open and wish they had a coffee shop but still 5/5!
J S — Google review
We arrived around 2/3 pm on a Friday, Oct 4th. We were not sure about how their process worked so we actually winged the entire process. When we arrived, we had to go inside to get tickets. Got in line, then we had to scan our tickets for the gate to open, allowing us to get into the gondala. The person handling the ride said 4 - 8 people per gondala. But I've seen couples (2 people) ride in one, depending who's in your group. The ride was less than 10 minutes. When you get off the gondala, the Lutsen Mountains is truly spectacular! The trails offer breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in nature. It is an amazing hike there, especially during the fall when the leaves change color. While others had a tough time navigating the ticketing process, highly recommend giving this another chance but go on a weekday to enjoy its beauty. There is free parking, you might find street parking past the building but there is overflow parking that you will go past before arriving to the gondala ride. Bathrooms are located in the building before hopping on the ride. The bathrooms, once you arrive across the mountains, are like portable potty, it actually looks scary.
Mae B — Google review
I’m not sure why everyone has such harsh reviews. I went on a Sunday, peak colors, perfect weather. We waited in line maybe 20 minutes at most, we got a gondola to ourselves even though we purchased a shared gondola ticket. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, except for the gift shop ladies I will say.
Sydney C — Google review
The autumn leaves here are absolutely stunning, painting the landscape with vibrant colors. The cable car is very convenient, making it easy to get a great view of the area. It can get quite windy, and cold, but it’s definitely worth the visit!
RR Z — Google review
Easy to get tickets on line, staff friendly and helpful and ride to top to top was great. Views of scenery from summit was beautiful. Snack bar on summit was very disappointing: limited choices, fries, cheese curds cold, and very overpriced. Tip: Bring your backpack with a picnic lunch packed and then sit and enjoy the view!

The gondola ride was enjoyable and the scenery was great. However, the line was too long and the prices are too high.

Papa Charlie's Tavern, located at the main entrance of Lutsen Mountains, is a laid-back sports-themed establishment within Eagle Ridge Resort. Renowned as one of the finest apres-ski bars in the Midwest by On the Snow, this casual spot offers a variety of pub-style cuisine and features live music as well as pool and video games for entertainment.
This place was incredible. Great service, amazing views, live music. We visited two nights in a row and it was incredible both nights. The ratings here don’t do it justice because they just reopened afresh within the last couple weeks and the reviews do not represent the current restaurant and it’s atmosphere. It is upscale casual. Super classy, delicious food! 100% recommend anyone visiting to stop in and experience this amazing gem!

This place is absolutely beautiful! The view, incredible! The food was enjoyable for what it was but the service was not the greatest. Karen our server was not very attentive, the restaurant wasn’t even busy so this was disappointing.
Claudia S — Google review
This place has been open for only two weeks and they’ve got the food DIALED IN!! I destroyed the beet salad before I could take a photo, but I captured the kids burger and lobster dip. You have to try the fries (“flats?”): crisp and seasoned and addictive. All was delicious! Friendly staff, suave atmosphere with a wall of mountain views.
Molly — Google review
Came in with high expectations, and was woefully disappointed. We came with a group of 5, two of us got the filet(most expensive thing on the menu) we ordered rare/medium rare. After about an hour, our food finally showed up, and they cooked our steaks on only one side! Photos show by they literally didn’t even flip our steaks!!! Presentation was horrible, and they gave us a side salad on a small saucer plate, who does that!? Not only was it way too small, but when you tried to eat it it just fell onto the table. It was over $50 per person and if you ask me it was money completely wasted. Spend your money elsewhere!!
Aaron B — Google review
Came here on family vacation. 3 kids with no actual kids menu. They told us the options. One went for Mac and cheese. No prices indicated and we ended up with a serving about as big as a slice of bread. BUT the kids said it was tasty. (Ended up being $10 a plate which is crazy for that much food) We then saw the kids being served next to us the same Mac and cheese but DOUBLE the portion. It made no sense The old fashioned was highly disappointing and watered down. No ginger beer so they couldn’t make the Moscow Mule my husband requested. I got a burrata crostini that’s an appetizer as I wasn’t really hungry. $9. Incredibly underwhelming with barely any basil. We waited 40 minutes for food and our server never checked in again after that. Mainly families here with kids so the new “upscale” vibe it really doesn’t fit the clientele here. Would be nice for a date night possibly but based on the food and drink I got, I wouldn’t really consider it. My husband said his sandwich was decent. Probably won’t be back this week or future trips based on the pricing and not real family friendly atmosphere

NOTE: This review is for the NEW Charlie’s Alpine Bistro, NOT Papa Charlie’s. Don’t be fooled by the low rating as this profile is tied to the OLD establishment which was very different. My wife and I spent four days in the area for our anniversary and chose Charlie’s twice during that time. The first night simply because it was within walking distance from our room at the resort; the second because we were so impressed that we wanted to try more. What hit us immediately was the decor and aesthetic of the place. It was very clean, giving high class vibes. At the same time, no one was condescending or dismissive, but instead all were welcoming and accommodating. We were told that they had just reopened the previous week after having to rebuild the restaurant because of a fire. Their goal was to distance themselves from the previous Papa Charlie’s and take the place more up scale. I would say they’ve accomplished a real “upscale casual” feel. Want quality food and drinks in a posh atmosphere? Don’t want to dress up to get it? Charlie’s fits the bill. While some have remarked that the open kitchen takes away from the atmosphere, I’d argue that it adds to the ambiance without being too distracting. It’s also a common feature in modern restaurants. I had the Alpine Chop with veggies and wild rice. The chop was cooked perfectly, and seasoned extremely well (which seems to be difficult for many). The veggies were al dente, and the rice was uniquely cooked to add texture to the tender pork. The rest of the menu is well rounded with plenty of classics with some vegetarian options mixed in. I’m sure anyone could find something to fit their appetite. The staff were completely bent on taking care of their guests, and were very attentive to us and seemed happy to be there. No one rushed us or gave a pushy vibe, and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. Overall, Charlie’s Alpine Bistro would be a great place to try if you’re in the area. While they have some kinks to work out after their recent opening, I’m confident they’ll do just that in short order.
Wes B — Google review
Spur of the moment, drive down to get a bite to eat. Had not been in Charlie's since the rebuild. Beautiful new building with an open feel. Great views out the patio. I was initially surprised by the smaller menu. Perhaps disappointed, and that was a mistake on my part. I ordered scotch eggs and a Ceasars salad. The presentation was spot on. Freshness and attention to detail were on point. Seeing the staff in the kitchen allowed me to see how they focused on creating each dish. Not just for me, but for the other diners. Sausage on the eggs was fresh, and the eggs were cooked to the right consistency. Ceasars salad was plated on a bed of dressing and crisp n fresh romaine wedges. Dessert was an Affogato gelato and a glass of reisling. The espresso was fresh, and I think I have a new favorite dessert! Staff was very accommodating and attentive. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Wineries & Vineyards
Situated near Lake Superior and Lutsen Ski Hill, North Shore Winery offers a variety of white and red wines made from California grapes, as well as hard cider from Minnesota apples. Visitors can relax indoors or outdoors by the firepit while enjoying their wines. The winery provides a relaxing atmosphere with indoor seating surrounded by large oak casks and outdoor wooden tables in a wooded setting. It's an ideal spot to unwind with friends and savor their superb wine selection.
Stopped here while staying Luetsen with friends. Beautiful venue. We sat outside on a beautiful September Sunday afternoon. Someone ordered cheese (Brie), crackers and sausage and they hit the spot. Visiting a vineyard is not usually for me but this was very nice. We didn’t order from Goldie’s but also looks like a good choice. This may have been a food truck.
Lisa C — Google review
We arrived about an hour before closing to enjoy a glass of wine and some live music. I had a glass of cider and my companion chose sparkling wine—both were delicious. We headed outside and found the perfect table to relax, take in the beautiful grounds, and enjoy the band. The atmosphere was peaceful, the guests were kind, and it made for a lovely evening. Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything.
Laura M — Google review
Not a bad diversion on the North Coast. The ciders are all dry, and they don't really retain much apple fragrance. We sampled five and they didn't differ much. The premium tasting has five wines all similar dry reds, most above 15%, none very dark (the merlot is pale). The grapes are shipped in from California. This is probably the best winery within 100 miles. Atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly so if you're looking for something to do on a hot day, go for it. Not my wife's favorite.
Glenn S — Google review
Excellent winery and cidery with a multitude of options for flights and pours. Definitely something for every palate. Super friendly service and charming indoor and outdoor seating, with some great live music some days!
Roger H — Google review
North shore winery / sawmill cidery. Same place. Offers a wide variety of wines and ciders. Many of their offerings are blends, tasty ones. Scenic north shore site with mostly outdoor seating. Nice place to stop and grab some cheese and crackers to accompany a glass of something.
Dustyn S — Google review
My husband, dog, and I visited here on our vacation. The grounds were nice and had plenty of seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We liked that they have wine and hard ciders. We had a cider flight/tasting but we did not like that all of the flights/tastings are pre-set for you, you cannot pick your own wines or ciders. You just get the 5 on the already made list. They are also all dry and we don’t like dry wines. The lack of variety and not being able to choose our own flights was honestly a big turnoff for us and would keep us from coming back despite having an overall positive experience otherwise.
Cassidy T — Google review
We had the premium wine and cider flight and bother were horrendous. This place was such disappoint for such for a beautiful area and being the only winery. Would not recommend to anyone with tastebuds.
RJ — Google review
Such a fun spot! We were staying nearby and wanted to try North Shore Winery and were not disappointed. The cider and premium wine flights were great! Plus they had music on the night we were there. Just to note that they don’t have any legit food, just packaged cheese and meats.

Nestled in the Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen, Minnesota, Moguls Grille & Taproom offers a casual dining experience with a focus on grill cuisine. With its scenic slope-side location and views of the mountain, it's an ideal spot for various occasions such as business lunches, gatherings with friends over drinks, or family dinners. The restaurant boasts an eclectic atmosphere and Scandinavian-inspired decor featuring a large stone fireplace and communal dining tables.
We’ve been traveling up and down the Northshore for 20 some years and recently discovered The Highlands/Moguls (the restaurant) and I just can not say enough about this restaurant AND area! I am a very good cook (modest too) so I didn’t want the Chicken rice as my side, I ordered the Soythwestern chicken and corn. Our little waitress brought the wild rice by mistake. Our waiter Rob, immediately caught the mistake and brought me a cup of the southwestern!!!!! oh my God!!!! So good. Both of these soups and I am so fussy about all soups! Kudos to that chef AND the staff. We WILL be back. PS. Rob is a great waiter!
Sandra G — Google review
We both had the chicken which came with mashed potatoes and gravy and brussel sprouts. We both felt the chicken was average, but, the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were delicious. The corn bread was by far my favorite. Our friend has the Parmesan Crusted Walleye and she said it was delicious. It was outstanding. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice.
Tammy S — Google review
Had a tasty lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Tried a few appetizers. Cheese curds were a hit as well as the Walleye Cakes. Enjoyed a Philly Sandwich and the Bacon burger was great for the boys. Will visit again when back for a visit.
Jerome L — Google review
The cuisine was mediocre, while the service was exceptional. Menu items seemed overpriced. I opted for the Parmesan Crusted Walleye, and my wife chose the flat bread. We sampled each other's dishes, only to be underwhelmed by the Walleye. The cornbread accompanying my meal was the highlight, albeit the portion was small. Ambiance was pleasant. This restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so we visited on a Sunday evening. During our three-day resort stay, we discovered an outstanding restaurant, Cascade Restaurant, merely 10 minutes north. Their breakfast and lunch offerings were consistently excellent and reasonably priced.
Michael R — Google review
Dessert and location were great. The not so great was my smoked chicken tasted like fish, and not just a hint of fish. My son ordered a steak rare and was told that wasn't possible. Needless to say, the chef found a way.
Zack N — Google review
Nice and cozy place. The food was good but a little expensive for my liking. Overall had a good time here!
Will H — Google review
Truly some of the worst and most confusing food I’ve ever been served. A margherita pizza had cheddar cheese on it, as well as an entirely-too-sweet sauce and old, watery tomatoes. My partner and I remarked that, had I been cross country skiing all day, the food probably would have been super tasty.
Felicia C — Google review
My 7 year old Grandson didn’t want to go to the restaurant with us wanting to play with his iPad 🙄 I made my way to Mogul on the lower level of the lodge. It was packed. (Maybe better I didn’t bring in the 7 year old). I went to the bar to order ToGo. I got a Long Island Tea and ordered the Wild Rice Burger and the Cranberry BLT on Cranberry Walnut Bread. I didn’t get the 7 year old anything 🤣 Service was friendly even though it was packed there. Food came out quickly barely had time to finish my drink 😬 Took the food back and it was really outstanding!! I recommend Moguls!!

This park is excellent, almost a secret quiet gem. It's probably my second favorite park on the North Shore. Great views really throughout of the lake and river. Great trails that connect with Superior National Forest. Awesome day use area and campground. One of the best hikes on both sides of the river to see the falls, rapids, and cliffs. It is on the smaller side and gets overlooked being farther north. So you get the all the North Shore experiences with none of the crowds of Gooseberry or Tettegouche.

One of the most beautiful parks in MN. Come for the river and stay for the view of Lake Superior. Some of the best trails I've seen in a state park. You can follow the river for miles or you can make a climb up one of the peaks.

A beautiful park with sights, fresh pine scent and very well kept. We have enjoyed the many spots along the river to see the cascades, and the trails are all great. Not a difficult hike and could come back time and time again. Lots of great loops and spur trails with access to incredible sights! And a big shout out to the gift shop—lots of great souvenirs and guide books there.

Oh my! What a beautiful Minnesota State Park! Beautiful hikes to the falls at Cascade river, a short hike across the highway to Lake Superior, and excellent facilities if staying at the campground with warm showers and clean restrooms! Besides the noisy crow that woke us up in the early morning it was a perfect few days hiking and nights camping! We enjoyed a tough hike up to Lookout point with great views of the Superior National Forest! Bring your bug spray up there at the summit. Otherwise the bugs were not bad at all at the campsite in early June 2025. Firewood can be purchased at the main building or at the Campground host site for 8 dollars/bundle. Cash or on the app. Just a short 15 minute drive up to the town of Grand Marais for forgotten essentials, World's Best Donuts, lunch, and seeing the lighthouse.

Great short trail from either the parking lot from Hwy 61 or if you go into the park. The trails connect. Multiple overlooks. Cascade Falls is appropriately named with several connected falls. Trail is beginner level and has stairs. If you go into the park by car, you will pay $7 for a permit that is good all day at all state parks. The trail from inside the park is longer and has more stairs, but a better hiking experience.
Brooke F — Google review
This trail is amazing. We stopped on a whim between leaving Grand marais and headed to two harbors. We just stopped to explore something new as we had time before our check in. Wow, is all I can say. We have done gooseberry and baptism fall annually and this trail was way above for active water. It was July of 2025, there was a lot of water this year so it made for very active falls. The river was flowing through deep carved out rocks with no way to get near the river itself like you can at the other 2 trails. However the beauty and peace of this hike was amazing. I am not sure if this one has a s much traffic as others as it was Monday afternoon. We did a loop that was I think about 2 miles total. Kids stopped into the ranger station and got scavenger hunt sheets and at 9 and 12 were engaged the entire trail. We were there for over 2 hours walking and hiking and looking for scavenger hunt items. They even offer small prizes, posters and postcard of mn animal. The hike as we got away from the river was beautiful. The trail was fairly easy as ypu got away from the river it was a pretty steady incline and declines. The sad part for me was no lady slipper. I was told by park attendant that they were in bloom and had 4 off the trail. I have always wanted to see one in real life in its natural habitat as a orchid lover and living in MN all my life. The worker said someone dug them up in the last 24 hrs... this being super disappointing. To have the boldness and selfishness to dig up a beautiful flower that is protected by law in MN state grounds for yourself. People need to stop destroying the state parks and start repeating the environment around you. We do not want to see your initials on a tree or look at bark you peeled off that kills these beautiful trees. Sorry soap box moment. This is a great trail well worth the journey we will definitely make the trip to it next time we are up.

Fabulous waterfalls!! My goodness, the beauty! And it looks like they have trails, too. Lots of stairs depending on how many waterfalls you want to view...
Scott F — Google review
It’s a nice park but the campsites are small, my tt is 24’ and that’s about as long as most sites would fit based on observation. Mn state campgrounds are a little spendy, there seems to be a fee for everything, reservation fee, talk to a person for reservation higher fee, taxes, site fee, $29 a night no hookups. Still a nice campground.

Cathedral of the Pines is an exceptional camp that caters to both children and families. It is a remarkable haven, with a strong Christian foundation evident through its two daily chapel services. This cherished destination holds a special place in the hearts of many, as it exudes breathtaking beauty. The activities offered are truly magnificent and enjoyable, creating an atmosphere that is both awe-inspiring and thrilling.
Wonderful camp for kids & families. Christ centered with chapel services twice a day.

I don't know much of anything about this place, but I like this rustic chapel on the lake. The big cross across the lake caught my eye.

I stopped in because I needed many more gallons of water to carry me over at my rustic campground nearby. Carl was more than gracious with helping me out and we swapped some great stories. The church, Mount Olivet, Lutheran Church, ELCA in Minneapolis is the one who puts on this tremendous show, celebrating 75 years.

Caribou Lake in Lutsen is a popular destination for tourists due to its diverse range of activities. Spanning 728 acres, the lake offers opportunities for diving, swimming, boating, kayaking, and canoeing. Visitors can enjoy paddle boarding in its peaceful waters and take advantage of convenient parking near the boat ramp and trailhead. The lake's clear waters are ideal for snorkeling and water skiing, while the presence of loons adds to its charm.
Beautiful. Worth the trip. Bring/rent a kayak or canoe or something.

I grew up my entire life on Caribou Lake. My family cabins are on the lake. Always good for swimming right off our dock. Snorkeling, water skiing, boating, enjoying the canoe. The best part is the Loons who swim all over, and sing. They sing to your soul.♡♡♡♡ I Love my Caribou Lake♡♡♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ Kate Foster Bejarano♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

I'll just assume this a one off for this area, but the lake's only public access site is being used as a public beach?? These random aholes set up shop and completely block the access ramp for hours. If the area police can't even make their presence known so that locals wouldnt even think of doing something like this, than I'll take my tourist money to another county.
Aleks Z — Google review
Perfect for paddle boarding. It was very peaceful. There are several parking spaces right next to the boat ramp and extra parking near the trailhead. I was paddle boarding with my dog but some people were fishing or just hanging out. It was clean and although I didn't swim, the water temperature (in July) wasn't bad at all.

The cleanliness of the accommodations is impeccable, ensuring a consistently enjoyable experience for guests. The resort also features a restaurant and bar with a pleasant ambiance, serving mostly satisfactory dishes.
Perfect place to spend a solo hiking trip. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Enjoyed views of Lake Superior and relaxing nights at the lodge after long days of hiking. Loved having access to trails right outside the doors of the lodge. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy some quiet time.

I booked my room relatively last minute, and stayed in their “base camp 5A”. From the reviews of their main lodge and cabins, I thought it would be a good experience, but I did not feel that the room was worth the price. The location is beautiful right across from the lake, but the room was in much need of repairs. The shower was literally being held together with tape. When I arrived, the windows of my room were all open. I closed them at night because it got pretty cool. In the morning, the room had an overwhelming smell of sewage, which made me wonder if they just opened the windows so the smell wasn’t noticeable upon arrival. I did inform the front desk. Myself and other guests at the base camp has difficult with our parking arrangements. There is a narrow area for parking right in front of the base camp. Upon arrival, the front desk told me that we were to park in front of our room. I went to get something from the gas station, and when I returned, someone else parked in front of my room. I just parked in front of another car, but I think they parked in front of my room because I was on the end and the area is so narrow, it makes parking I from of their room (5c) really hard to do. From everything else I saw on location during me stay, I think that Cascade Lodge is probably a nice place, but I wouldn’t recomend their base camp option.

Cabins were a cute blend of kitsch and contemporary. We stayed in two different cabins and they both had lovely views, both dog friendly! The staff was kind and accommodating and the atmosphere amongst other visitors was warm and welcoming. It was also super convenient to be able to walk to the restaurant and bring our food and drinks back to our cabin to enjoy privately. We’ll definitely return the next time we visit the north shore.

We have come here every fall for 41 years. The lodge is surrounded by Cascade River State Park and the park is surrounded by Superior National Forest. It sits on the shore of Lake Superior half way between Lutsen resort and Grand Marais, a great little town. We take hikes in the woods and at night we can cook in our cabin or go out to any of several good restaurants. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

Fantastic stay here! The rooms are very updated and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant they have has a huge menu of food and drinks, just about anything you’d want and everything we had both food and drinks was absolutely delicious! And with reasonable prices as well. Right across from the lake with gorgeous views.

When we walked in to check in I knew we picked the right place when we met Lexi who was running the front desk. She was super cheerful and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfect. We loved being able to have a real wood fire in the fireplace. Again though, Lexi was the real star. When a business has someone like her working there you know you picked the right spot.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room and service was good. There's a good restaurant here. You can also walk to beautiful falls. The surrounding area is full of beauty, wonderful hiking opportunities, cute towns and good restaurants. I wished I had a full week or two!

We stayed at base camp 5b. The room in general was fine and I would have left higher stars if it were not for the cleanliness of the bathroom. There is some serious mold in the shower and the bathroom is in desperate need of a refresh. Another thing to be aware of is there is no AC which was not really advertised. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location and with some updates would be a great place to stay.

Visitors can satisfy their cravings at the Summit Chalet while enjoying dinner with a view. Additionally, the area offers various dining options such as Papa Charlies Tavern and Moguls Grille & Tap Room at Caribou Highlands Lodge.

Basic hot dogs & nachos type of foods at the summit, enjoyable views, and a summit hike if you are a Billy goat. Beautiful the first week of October. Gondola tickets are EXPENSIVE though, and the whole resort is now cash free, so get your tickets online before you go for all your activities.

Had lunch on a cloudy Friday. The ride is nice with great views along the way. The views from the summit are spectacular and well worth the trip. Food is pretty standard for a similar venue. Staff was very nice and pointed out points of interest around the area

This place is good for the view it offers. You can sit and relax here while you soak in the fall colors. The food is decent but the soft drinks are pricey. I would not recommend wasting money on their coffee though. The coffee machines are useless, had to throw the coffee. Would recommend bringing your own brew instead.

Beautiful place. Rain, snow or shine. Simply beautiful. We saw reviews that line to the Gondola were long. But when we got there on a gloomy Friday 9/29/23. It wasn't long at all. Actually there was no line. My brother and sister and I had the most amazing time. The view is spectacular. The colors were mesmerizing. It looks like a painting. Picasso!!!! Love love love our experience there. Would love to go back and this time stay the night since we did a day trip from Minneapolis.

Have to take a Gondola ride up there - was a fun thing for us to do while visiting MN - Took my grandson & he loved it! Great views from on top of the mountain where this restaurant is located - restaurant itself is cool with its location - menu is pretty basic & not overly priced considering the location - cafeteria style works well with the amount of people that pass through there. Definitely recommend it - if anything - just for the experience - then we were off to the alpine slides which are in same area - (have to take the Gondola ride down) another fun place that has been there for many years 😀
Christine N — Google review
The view is unbelievably gorgeous! Well worth the price of the gondola ride $68 for 1 senior, 1 adult, and 1 child. The downfall is that although there is an attendant, the seats were not disinfected between people and there were no wipes to do it yourself. Many people not masked.

My family and I loved it, every second of it! It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying out. The view, the hiking trails, and the Gondola was all worth it. We didn't try the ski lifts, but hoping to try it out next time.

Mountain peak
Moose Mountain is a summit over 1,000 feet high and can be accessed by a gondola. At the top, there's a café offering stunning views of the lake and hiking trails. It serves as the starting point for many runs and features steep pitches that can be challenging for newer-intermediate skiers. The area offers excellent skiing options with breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the Grand Superior golf course.
We take the gondolas to the top every year, it's one of the highlights of our trip. In autumn the view is spectacular though you won't be sorry at any season. The spur trail there is a little rugged but worth it. Wear good hiking boots.

If you want to experience the best skiing between here and Colorado or Montana, you’ve got to check out Lutsen. We were there for Spring skiing and even without all the runs open there were so many options to choose from. And the view from the top of Moose Mountain is incredible with the slopes, and Grand Superior golf course in the foreground and Lake Superior in the background. Breathtaking!

Out-west ski shop experience right here in MN. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who will help you out if you're in a bind. Great selection of demo skis & boots, even in uncommon sizes. They'll even discount the rental price if you choose to purchase them. Can easily swap equipment to try all kinds of ski varieties during your stay. At only ~1 mile from the base, with later evening hours, it's definitely worth a stop in. Bonus: adorable, polite shop doggies! I'll definitely be back with my friends the next time I visit!

Yoko and the rest of the employees were extremely friendly and helpful to those of us who had never been skiing before. We did the demo ski rental. The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable of their demo equipment. The technician had previously skied the equipment and was really able to guide us to the best skis. The course was beautiful! The kitchen was incredible and the staff was friendly. They had quality liquor selection and the scenery was tremendous! I recommend this for groups looking for a challenging and exciting round. Tell the wonderful starter Mary Howdy for us!! You will want to play all 27. River and Canyon is the best 18 holes of golf in northern Minnesota. Also, you and your squad will want to plan time to adventure onto the Mountain course!
Jordan J — Google review
Yes views are great, personnel are too Yes carts are newer with good tech For the money per round, the course needs better help to get it into $100+ power person a round shape. Hard to justify coming back until the course is in better shape. Also don’t get too close to the green. I believe I was far enough back, obviously was not, cart would not move forward and you will have to back it up back where it tells you to go. Hole 17, go very slow down the hill. It is easy to speed and it’s a problem waiting to happen if you’re not fully engaged in managing your cart. Take it slow, you won’t have to press the gas pedal going down but be prepared to use the brake pedal. Overall, I will return after the course is in a little better shape. It was beautiful.

A course that is truly incredible, so many holes with unbelievable views of Lake Superior. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the course itself is lush. We played 3 rounds in a week and they were all wonderful. We played at 7am and easily finished by 1045am.

We have been golfing this beautiful course once a year for the last 6 years. We love the layout and the beautiful views. We were incredibly disappointed in the condition of the course. To pay the premium mid-season rate of over 130 dollars including tax for the conditions we encountered is unacceptable. I understand the winter and spring were difficult, but maybe early season rates would be more appropriate. If we had not driven up from the cities, we would have asked for a refund and not completed the round. See photos of greens and fairways. This was likely our last visit.

A Must-Play Minnesota Gem! Superior National Golf Course is hands down the most scenic course in the entire state. Nestled along the North Shore with breathtaking views of Lake Superior, and rocky streams, every hole feels like a postcard. The course is always in fantastic shape, and it's an absolute joy to play—challenging yet fair, with a layout that keeps things interesting from start to finish. I look forward to my annual Labor Day weekend round with my family. One of my favorite times of the year, for sure. The staff here are incredibly friendly and accommodating, always making us feel welcome and appreciated. Their hospitality adds so much to the overall experience. If you're looking for a memorable round of golf in Minnesota, Superior National is the place. You won’t find a more beautiful or enjoyable course anywhere else!

Corse layout was good. The greens were embarrassing. I have seen better at 9 hole par 3 courses. I never seen anything quite like it. They were dirt. Like a newly seeded green… If the round was free would be acceptable.
Andy K — Google review
Very scenic. Very nice staff, but they have to figure out the pricing.. $120 for super beat up/damaged greens is unacceptable. I could play 3 rounds at a course in just as good of shape for that price. I get the Winter was rough on them but wow.

As one of the oldest resorts in Minnesota, Lutsen Resort is known for its rich history and charming atmosphere.
Went for breakfast, and all bias aside with the caveat of the necessity of a slightly cultured palate, this place is by far the best breakfast on the shore. Also, never worry about if you will be able to get in, as they often aren’t busy. It’s one of those things though, that they are specialized items, and as such if they aren’t cooked properly, then your experience may vary. But we have been twice and both times have been AWESOME.

I'm giving 4 stars only because it's a little pricey. But the 5 course dinner was delicious, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. It was a good time. My husband and I recently dined at The Strand and had a wonderful experience. We were promptly greeted and seated by Fabian and were impressed with Diana's attentive service throughout the evening. We were honored to meet the chef, Jennifer, and were impressed by the delicious meal she prepared. We dined on the walleye cakes to start, shared the smoked goose chowder and caesar salad, my husband enjoyed the birch braised short rib, and I loved the pheasant cordon bleu. We were impressed with the drink menu with included some great spiritless options as well as some wonderful mezcal drinks - something we did not expect to see in Northern MN. In all, a wonderful evening and the service team went above and beyond to make our dinner special.

The Strand is a spectacular dining experience! My husband and I enjoyed eating here on our honeymoon in 2020, and coming back in 2023 for my birthday did not disappoint. Went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Was on the spendy side, but honestly worth every single penny. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the jalapeño and cilantro walleye cakes for an appetizer, a bowl of the smoked goose chowder for our second course and I had the prime porter house and my husband had the kurobota pork chop. Everything was so delicious! Our server Paul was amazing too! Very attentive, friendly and helpful. A great experience!

We went here on the last night of our honeymoon. The atmosphere was perfect and our server Maria was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the Oyster Rockefeller, Cedar Plank Salmon, and Scandinavian Chicken and Waffles. For dessert we had the salted Carmel Cheescake and Mable Crème Brûlée (which was the highlight of the food) Everything was so insanely tasty and so thoughtful. Everyone was so kind and the whole experience was so romantic.

We visited the Strand on a Friday evening to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We chose the north shore, Lutsen specifically, as our vacation destination to relax, get outdoors, and enjoy eachother's company. We haven't been to Lutsen before, but came to learn restaurant options are limited. We were worried we wouldn't find somewhere extra special, with reason to dress up, for our anniversary day, but ended up learning of the Strand. We were wowed by the atmosphere and outstanding service from Rob who made us feel incredibly special with complimentary champagne and chocolates. For a starter we got the venison carpaccio - as hunters we were intrigued by a "new" way to use venison and enjoyed it. For entrees we got the pheasant, Cesar salad, and wild goose chowder; all were excellent. The wild goose chowder was a little unexpected in that it didn't contain chunks of potato or goose as one might expect, but it was packed with flavor, hearty, and nice and hot. The prices are a little steep compared to what we're used to at fine dining establishments in the Green Bay, WI area; however, this is a niche place up this way and we recognize we're "off the beaten path" with goods and services coming at a higher cost. Many thanks for the incredibly special anniversary dinner!

Amazing meal and service. Walking in, I loved the ambiance - from view of Lake Superior, to the sophisticated, rustic decor. The host was very welcoming and gave me a great spot by the window. I opted for the caviar to start and surgeon for my meal with a glass of champagne. The caviar was wonderful - I liked the white fish and trout the best out of the trio. I also appreciated the raspberry sorbet palate cleanser in between. With the Sturgeon I subbed out the asparagus for wild mushrooms which were superb. The fish was cooked perfectly and the risotto was seasoned with a decadent lemony butter champagne sauce. So good. And the mushrooms went so well with the dish. Nicole was the server and she was wonderful!

Relaxing atmosphere, exactly what we wanted. Stayed two nights in August. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, even a functioning fireplace! The balcony was a huge plus, and the heated outdoor pool was amazing.

This was a decent place to stay. We spent one night on a Tuesday in August. Unfortunately, the bar and grill on site was closed on Tuesday's. The other dining option up the hill is a bit fancy and spendy for what we were looking for. The lobby is closed from 10 pm to 7 am. DVD players and movies available for checkout. Indoor and outdoor pool, indoor hot tub. Gym. Ample free parking. Ice machine on lower level. Nice refrigerator/freezer in room, plus microwave. TV with decent channel selection. Comfortable room.

Excellent service and location and setting is beautiful. We wanted to be half way up North Shore to be accessible to all hiking trails and falls. They have great restaurants close and a bar and grill in the resort along with a gift shop for quick, general needs. Rooms were great, our view was fantastic with a mountain view and waterfall slightly visible. Beautiful sunsets over the mountains. One of my biggest happy moments was when I realized they had a real wood-burning fireplace in the room and free, sheltered firewood available at all times. Our room had a balcony as well. Kitchen was well stocked. My only complaints was the hot tub had non-working jets, the ice maker in the fridge didn't work as well as no ice machines on the property and the initial amount of towels were lacking as well as clothes storage. But none of that would keep us from staying here again. Plus, we found out when we got here that our room was individual-owned and not owned by the resort. Not sure if they are all that way, so each room experience may not be the same. Last thing to note, there are no elevators and 3 floors, so be prepared to walk a lot of stairs. This didn't bother us but for some, it may be a struggle.

This was a spectacular location! It stands out from any other place I’ve been to, as the staff was particularly friendly (thanks, Katie) and offered free smores, glow sticks, temporary tattoos, coloring activities, bocce ball, lifesized chess, live music and a pool area. The sleeping quarters were nice, too! I only had one critique: the main area closed at night and reopened in the late morning. There was no other space to go outside of the room itself (where some might have gone to bed or gotten up earlier). Otherwise, it was one of my favorite places!
Victoria C — Google review
Very nice, exactly what we wanted…clean, quiet, close to the sights in either direction. My ONLY complaint is that there are no carts to help us bring our luggage (& more) to our room. Thank goodness my husband requested a room on the ground floor, because we are both 70 and had to make 6 trips, between us, to get all of our things to the room. We travel extensively & have never stayed anywhere that had no luggage carts. It’s something I never thought I would have to ask about.

We stay here every year during fall for the colors. Staff is always helpful and friendly! The carpet in the rooms/apartments/townhomes could use a little upgrading though, but other than that, it’s always been a great experience! Had a chance to bump into a rather large momma bear and her cub this past Friday night while out to grab something from the car. Quite the surprise!
Dev L — Google review
This is my go to spot for a couples get away or girls weekend! The amenities onsite are unimaginable! From setting up a campfire for you or having pre-stamped postcards they do everything to make your stay the best and the service was top notch! The lodge also has an outdoor heated pool, indoor pool, hot tub, bag boards, outdoor chess, amazing restaurant, and is within walking distance from the gondola! I can’t wait to go back next fall for all the amazing fall colors!
Alyssa L — Google review
The resort's location proved to be a significant advantage during our three-night stay, facilitating easy access to our favorite North Shore trails, parks, and restaurants. The room, although unpretentious, boasted beds, linens, and pillows that met our expectations. Regrettably, the bathroom's water pressure fell short, despite its visually appealing design. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were serviceable. Having visited the North Shore six times previously, we were disappointed with the resort and question whether we will return on our next visit to the area. Be sure to bring your own soap.

Located at 5364 MN-61, Lutsen, MN 55612, Lockport Marketplace & Deli is a long-standing North Shore establishment that has been serving visitors since 1928. This family-owned gem offers a variety of services including groceries, gas, espresso, and supplies. It's not just a regular stop for filling up your car; it's also a place to enjoy delicious French toast and top-notch coffee for breakfast.
Needed a place for breakfast on our way out of the Grand Marais area and picked this spot. It's a small restaurant inside a gas station/souvenir shop! Max seating inside is about 16 people (4 tables). Myenu is small but has enough variety to cover a range of flavors. I got the French toast with a side of bacon and my group got a pancake (100 years old sourdough recipe) to share. The French toast was good but the pancake was awesome! You could really taste the sour! Service was great! Nan was very nice and super friendly. She showed us how to get more coffee whenever we wanted (self service) and chatted with everyone. Would definitely stop by again when we are in the area!

This place is the definition of charming. It is everything you would expect on the shore of Lake superior. Had a table for the locals with all their coffee mugs on the wall. They could somehow use a few more parking spots. So we had breakfast my wife had Typical eggs, toast, and hashbrowns and bacon, I think it was about $14, I had French toast. I think that was 12 and then we bought a bottle of maple syrup, being a bit surprised they didn’t actually offer it with French toast or pancakes, that cost about 11. Our bill came to just over 50 now my wife is a big math person., And this puzzled her, we did not get a printed receipt so she couldn’t check their math and as we were heading out of the parking lot, she decided it just didn’t matter. Also, my French toast was not hot, and I noticed the people sitting behind us left a bunch of their food and we overheard them saying note to self. So I’m not sure what their issue was. Maybe their food was cold too. So maybe they had a new cook, I’m not sure. But they do have groceries and Caribou coffee, so I definitely think it’s worth a look, but, I would take a minute if you can and ask customers leaving how their meal was.

Wanted to love it but felt harassed the entire time I was there. Ordered a club sandwich and was waiting for my friend in the bathroom, so I sat at a table, the elderly woman then interrogated me for sitting at a table inside, then came back and said you better find your friend, you food is almost ready... I'm like, I ordered food, my friends in the bathroom, why is this such an issue.... I decided to grab it to go and ate on the patio. It was a club sandwich, bacon was severely overcooked and sandwich was mid. Service was not welcoming and I would never return here.

Smaller, clean, older style sit down quaint. Server was polite. The prices are outrageous. We paid $62.20 BEFORE a tip, so $70.00 for breakfast. Order 1; “plate size Pancakes” not plate size at all. A side of bacon was extra. Order 2; honeymoon plate was good with sausage. Ordered a large milk, coffee rated a #1 (weak brew) caramel rolls rated 2.5. Likely wouldn’t have a huge complaint and say this is just an “okay” stop, however for the price, it should have been PHENOMENALLY good!

Excellent breakfast on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. The Midwest style of "hospitality" took a little getting used to... Very popular, and we could see why. When we arrived all the outside tables were occupied. Nan and her coworker sat us in the dining room alone even though it was closed. Charming lakeside decor with an even better menu. I strongly recommend the Moose 🫎 Omelette. We also had their Mochas which were excellent!!

Cute little place. The food was okay, the prices were high. Self served coffee. Be prepared to wait as the place only has 6 inside tables. They don't take your name, you just stand in line. Limited parking. There was only one server which was an older lady, very sweet. She did seem rushed but only because she was the only one serving. Highly recommend looking at the menu before sitting.

A very nice and cozy marketplace and deli. The food is made fresh. We came here for breakfast and would recommend getting a seat inside or outside, either way, the food is pretty good! The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito is very well done. We didn't mind the prices as it's one of the only local delis around here where you can get hot food(s) on the go. The deli does have a space for you to eat. Some tables are big enough to seat 4 and some are for 2. The room inside is tiny but cozy! We were surprised at how many items were available to buy, from cereals, veggies, sauces and beverages to smaller camping/hiking equipment. Overall, an excellent place to come by before you leave or when you arrive! Would definitely order ahead if you can but either way, if you have time, it's worth the wait for the food.

Caribou Cream is an authentic, award-winning maple syrup that's a must-visit stop in Lutsen. The small self-service window outside or the store itself offers a variety of products including pancake mix, seasoning, and souvenirs. The syrup is made with passion and care and comes in environmentally conscious glass containers. Visitors rave about the unbeatable quality of the syrup and often make it a yearly tradition to visit the store.
Highly highly recommend this on your visit to North shore of MN/ Lutsen/Grand Marais. Apart from their maple syrup, I’m now a big fan of their ice cream. Only two ingredients - milk, and maple syrup - just like ice creams should be. I have never had a yummier ice cream!
Sruthi V — Google review
We stopped here on our trip to the North Shore. The owner was there and was super friendly. I loved that they had other things beyond maple syrup. I got a jar of homemade dill pickles. I was also able to pick it some maple sugar which I had been looking for. Definitely worth a stop. Also, I love that they take Venmo. It made it so easy as I rarely carry cash anymore.
Rachel S — Google review
Stopped on our way up the North Shore. Friendly owner and great selection of handmade items. The maple syrup and maple kettle corn were great!

Incredible, highly recommend. Not only are the products amazing, but you’re supporting a super nice family business. Owner popped in while we were there. So sad we are headed back to the cities!!!

The best Kept secret! Maple ice cream was so yummy! Cute boutique with the most reasonable prices. Appreciate that they offer Venmo payment because I found so many more cute gifts. Planned on getting a bottle of syrup.

AMAZING authentic, award-winning, home made maple syrup that you can't really find anywhere else! You can tell it's made with lots of passion and care. There is a small self-service window outside or you can go inside the store to check out all of the products, including pancake mix, seasoning, and souvenirs. All containers are glass (to be environmentally conscious) and carefully packaged. This is must visit stop in Lutsen!

Wild Country Maple Products is a hidden gem in Lutsen, MN, offering delightful maple products and tours. The store operates on an honor system when the owner is not present, allowing customers to pay by check, cash, or credit via a phone app. Visitors can enjoy delicious syrups and even purchase incredible pancake mix. The establishment provides a personal tour where guests can learn about the tree tapping and syrup making process while sampling various flavors of syrup.
Took the short drive from lutsen resort and so glad we did. We got some syrup, wild rice, Caramels, and pancake mix. The driveway was plowed nice even after the recent snow and the self pay venmo station was a plus! Will definitely be going back for more, everything was amazing!
Bonnie H — Google review
Great hidden gem! Syrups are available for samples when you are there. Self serve with Venmo, cash, and credit card as options. Dirt road for final 1-2 miles but is a very well maintained road. Plenty of signage to get you there.do follow signs and not your GPS. Prices are very good! Cool to see the maple syrups lines as your getting closer.
Josh W — Google review
A hidden gem, absolutely worth the trip to check it out and try some free samples! Every flavor is outstanding, especially bourbon and bourbon wine barrel syrups. Super cool seeing the tubing and harvesting equipment amongst the maple trees all throughout the drive in, and learning about the process!
Roger H — Google review
We stumbled upon the cutest little maple syrup shop in Lutsen, and it was such a fun and unexpected stop! The place has that perfect cozy, quaint charm that makes you want to linger and take everything in. They offer tastings of their delicious maple syrup flavors before you buy, which made it so hard to choose, every single one was amazing. I especially loved the bourbon maple syrup and ended up taking home a sampler pack so I could enjoy a bit of everything. The maple caramels were also incredible. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. A definite must-stop if you’re in the area!
Kelsey B — Google review
Lovely owners and creators of delicious maple products. Their maple caramels are melt in your mouth delicious and their syrup is the best I've ever tasted. It's a little bit of a drive to get to, but very much worth it. Their little country store shed works on the honour system and has loads of options for pancake batter, syrups, merch and more. Loads of great info and history on how they started, definitely worth the visit!
Jeana M — Google review
Hidden gem in middle of forrest. The road is rough but if you follow the signs, you will make it there. Maple syrup tastes so so good !!! I love how they let us pay with the honor system. Such a beautiful place. Update: second time, after a year I came back to this place, everything remains the same and of course so does the quality.
Adrien L — Google review
Amazing maple syrup store tucked away in the forest. Fun drive up where you can see some of the tapped trees. We happened on one of the owners who chatted with us about their tapping and bottling process - and I was very excited to find the darker syrup at a very reasonable price! Would definitely recommend making the trip through the dirt roads.
Molly P — Google review
The most amazing syrup!! We got to try some samples and they were delicious. The dirt road isn't too bad riding there, easy ride on our Rav4. We were lucky enough to have met with the owners and they were so kind! Excited to go again!

Pretty amazing coffee! I love a Cortado, and this place offers it. I’m a fan of what they’re doing investing in the north shore offering high quality coffee and good ambience. This comes with a higher price of course, so I’m not bothered by it.

Cardamom latte with whole milk. Or whatever else you get, it's gonna be banger. Place was packed so don't plan to stay. Grab your coffee and go. Definitely a strong recommendation if you're in the area!

After reading other reviews, I got the affogato and the 740 estate latte. The affogato is a double shot of their smooth espresso poured over a scoop of buttermilk vanilla ice cream. The 740 estate is espresso, steamed oat milk, and cardamom syrup. The employees were kind, genuine, and patient with my little children. So glad I got the chance to visit Fika Coffee.

The coffee here is absolutely the best! ☕️ So authentic, rich in flavor, and incredibly refreshing. A perfect spot for true coffee lovers!

Incredible coffee and friendly service! This was on my bucket list to try while I was up north and it lived up to the hype. I had the cardamom latte, which was delicious, and also bought beans to have at home. Brewed some today and was also great! Can't wait to get back up there.
