This was such a fun experience. The forest is very beautiful. It was a little on the hot side today but there are plenty of places to sit and rest or stop in the shade. Seeing the forest giants was definitely the best part. Parking wasn’t hard to find and we went in the middle of the day on a Saturday. It wasn’t crowded and you got to spend as much time with the giants that you wanted without feeling rushed.

Our family loves this place. So much to do and see. The Giants are a highlight, but there is still so much of the park we haven't seen. The nature inspired playground provides hours of fun and the new tree house was so neat.
James N — Google review
One of the best parks ever, just always very busy in prime hours unfortunately. But it's FANTASTIC, and always has been a great place for locals and tourists alike. Good bathrooms, good portapotties all over the place and a nice cafe.

We really enjoyed our walk through the forest to find the Dambo trolls! The Tin Man and heart of the forest of wonderful too. We loved seeing and feeding all the turtles, that was a pleasant surprise! Everything was very accessible and fairly easy to walk and enjoy. The art installation were wonderful and the visitors center staff was kind and very knowledgeable
Rachel T — Google review
This is a beautiful state forest, with unusual art installations throughout. There are numerous species of flowering trees and shrubs throughout the park (best viewed in the spring). Issac's Cafe, located within the park visitor's center, features unique and delicious menu options. There is also a very nice gift shop located within the visitor's center which features unique gift options.

Such an amazing area in Kentucky to explore. There isnt an entry fee but donations are encouraged when you arrive at the gate. There are lots of hiking trails, a visitors center, edible garden, tree canopy walk, Fire Tower, Mr Tin Man & much more. Also the forest giants are here as well! Highly recommend a trip here any season & get your explore on!
April D — Google review
The art work can all be accessed from parking so you can drive to each one, except for a little walk to get to the art work from there. The trails are pretty and relaxing. I didn't get to see everything so I'm definitely going back! The food at the cafe was good, but small portions, and the gift shop has cute stuff steap prices but they have sales.
Alyse S — Google review
This place is amazing! The grounds are beautiful! Walking trails are great! And the forest giants are amazing! This is a must-see place if you are in Bardstown!

At James B. Beam Distilling Co., visitors can enjoy the America Outpost experience, which includes tours of Four Roses Warehouse & Bottling, Gallant Fox Brewing Co., and four local wineries. The Bourbon the Beam Way tour provides insight into the company's history and production process, with engaging guides like Holden and Courtney. The tour also offers a glimpse into barrel aging and concludes with an informative bourbon tasting.
Last weekend I did the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour & Tasting in Clermont, Kentucky, and it was one of the best distillery experiences I’ve had on the Bourbon Trail. The tour covered multiple buildings and gave a detailed look at the entire bourbon-making process—from grain to bottle. It was informative without feeling too technical, and our guide did a great job balancing history, process, and storytelling. There’s a strong sense of legacy here, with plenty of insight into the Beam and Noe family history and their role in shaping American bourbon. We tasted a variety of bourbons during the guided tasting, including Jim Beam, Basil Hayden, and Knob Creek. The Knob Creek tasting stood out, and it was cool to see their bottling line in action. After the official tour wrapped up, we headed to the tasting room where you can purchase additional pours from a bartender. I tried a few of the flavored varieties and really liked the Fire—definitely a fun, easy-drinking option with a bit of spice. The facilities were clean, well-designed, and easy to navigate. Everything felt very polished but still authentic. We had considered eating at the on-site restaurant, The Kitchen Table, but it closes at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and our tour finished just after that—worth planning around if you’re visiting on the weekend. Overall, the Beam Made experience was a great mix of education, history, and hands-on tasting. Highly recommended whether you’re just starting to explore bourbon or already a fan of the Beam lineup.

Jesse & Dani the buss driver did great. They made us feel special on our honeymoon. Freddie & Fred signing a card for us, plus both 2025 bookers, as well as limited edition pin bottle being in stock, were like the cherry on top. It ended up being the ultimate experience. By far the best tour I’ve been on both on & off the bourbon trail. Whatever JB pays Jesse it’s not enough.

Sept 3. Great tour!!! Wasn't sure what to expect since this distillery is huge. Thankfully were treated super well. Our tour guide was Justin Turner. Justin was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Beam product. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. Oh by the way, the whiskies were good too: Baker's 13 and recent Booker's release. The Kitchen at Beam was very very good. Awesome views from balcony.

Worth it! Nice big tour with lots of history, behind the scene views, and tastings along the tour. Most tastings occur at the end, Jim Beam mixes it up. Plus, your tour includes a tasting glass which is cool. Our guide was Justin (driver Nikki?), were fantastic. The property itself is nicely manicured, you can get tours as you arrive but might need to wait for an opening. Recommend reserving ahead of time. But, if you are like us, enjoy the Kitchen for awhile.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 1.5-hour Distillery Tour and Tasting on a rainy Tuesday. Though we don't drink, we came to learn about the company's history and the bourbon-making process. Our guide, Nikki, was outstanding—she shared tons of information and answered all our questions. We loved seeing the production facilities, and the tour also offered excellent visuals and staged areas that provided great context. The gift shop is nice, but be aware the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The tour includes four tastings at three stops. If you're not drinking, book the under-21 ticket to save money. We had an excellent time overall.

Fantastic, such incredible history. Highly recommend signing up for the 8 generation tasting experience. A 45 min guided tasting full of history and knowledge about the brand and flavor profiles of the whiskeys. Great experience, would love to come back soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and coming to this distillery... We had Justin as our tour guide he was great and had good customer service from offering hot hands (due to it being colder in the warehouse) to us to the tastings it was an experience... Learning history how the bourbon is made and drinking from the barrel was awesome... Justin our tour guide definitely seemed to know his Jim beam history and knew a lot about the Jim beam distillery and just seemed to enjoy his job... Just driving in on the grounds it was beautiful... A lot to be taken in... Definitely recommend doing a tour...

Did the Maturation tour. Had an amazing experience!!! Our tour guide Katie was knowledgeable. Tour was very interactive and enlightening. If you ever want to try straight from barrel, this is what you're looking for.

Restaurant
The Kitchen Table, a new American restaurant, offers a delightful array of dishes. The duck poppers and empanadas were truly exceptional. While the pimento and cheese along with the carrots were good, they didn't quite reach the same level of excellence. The Tomato Burratta with watercress was satisfying, although it would have been better if the country ham slices were smaller. The sausage pizza was enjoyable and worth ordering again.
Food was really good. We shared the pulled pork empanadas and burnt ends pizza. The crust is made with the same yeast used to make the bourbon. Very tasty! 😋 Drinks were not watered down and priced reasonably for the higher end food they serve. The south by southeast was very tasty. Compared to the bourbon breeze which was a bit salty for my taste. Husband had a “we are the proof” bartender’s choice drink. Old fashioned with distillers beer mash. Fun and unique flavors. Waitress was nice. She wanted to get you food and drinks quickly but was not upset with us asking to look at the menu for a minute. Don’t forget to stop by and have a sit with Mr. Noe and Dot.

We had a great experience at The Kitchen Table after our 8 generation tasting. Started with the pulled pork empanadas and garlic parm fries. Delicious, the empanadas were seasoned great, crispy and the sauce they're served in was spicy (great for dipping the fries in too). The garlic parm fries were incredible, garlicky with lots of fresh shaved parmesan on top. They would have been better and elevated the flavor if they served it with a lemon and herb aoili but I dipped them in the sauce from the empanadas which was "stupid good" as my father in law said. For our main meals we got the brisket, ribs, fried catfish, pizza, burger and Kentucky burgoo. The burgoo was really tasty, lots of tender meat in a delicious broth with beans, collards and corn, a must try while in Kentucky. The brisket and grits were phenomenal, super tender with a great sauce. The grits were cheesy and added a level of complexity to the sweetness of the brisket sauce. I liked the fried catfish but wish it had come with a slice of lemon to add a level of acidity to it, the potatoes were flavorful and the coleslaw added a great crunch, I just wish the fish itself was slightly more seasoned. The ribs were tasty, and burger was out of this world. All in all a great experience with some incredible food and drinks, I don't think you can have a bad meal here or leave hungry.

Having a restaurant on site - at the distillery was great (saved us from trying to find a place in town)! Drinks and food were great; not rushed. We had a birthday celebration - the “firecracker” was a great surprise. Loved our waitress!

What a wonderful experience! Great atmosphere with excellent service. The pepperoni pizza was perfect with the touch of honey. Thin crust dough had a great flavor and texture. (Must be the yeast) The Kentucky Burgoo soup was out of this World good. The smoky flavor enhanced it to the next level.

Great food. Stopped by after a tour for a snack. Had 3 appetizers, the smoked wings were my favorite, but the pulled pork sliders were also great. The restaurant was nice, new and modern farmhouse with great reviews.

We visited The Kitchen Table while on vacation hitting the Bourbon Trail. The fried half chicken was amazing, crispy with great flavor. The smoked margherita pizza was very good with smoky flavors that paired well with the other flavors of the pizza. The old fashioned with jim beam white label was exceptional. We would come back if we hit the bourbon trail again in the future.
Noella T — Google review
Decent place to eat if you’re here for the tour, but not appealing enough to lure you in from outside the immediate area. The food presented well and the staff was friendly. However the food lacked flavor. I had their brisket which wasn’t good, not bad, but just plain. My wife had their burger and she had no complaints.
J N — Google review
Service: Very fast service. Only wierd thing is that only the bar can bring out drinks. Even Soda. Venue: is a pretty cool place. We sat on the enclosed patio. Was very comfortable Food: Brisket and grits were great. Ribs were not cooked consistent. 1st rib was crunchy and over cooked. 3 and 4 were perfect. 5 and 6 took a bit of effort. I like mine to almost fall off the bone. Garlic fries were great Drinks: Soda was flat originally and on the 2nd refill. The Bourbon breeze was more luke a whiskey sour. We couldn't taste the coconut.
