Farmers' market
Hennigar's Farm Market is a delightful stop in Wolfville and the Annapolis Valley, offering a variety of local produce, goodies for picnics, and flavors to sample. The market features a play area with activities for kids like playing in a boat, feeding fish and ducks, and exploring the nature trail around the pond. Visitors can also enjoy a petting zoo, forest trail, and lovely shop. Additionally, it offers a picturesque setting for an overnight stay among apple trees.
This place is so amazing with so many options. Fresh is the best word to describe this place . Fresh veggies fresh bakery, fresh ice cream, fudge, plants everything !!! Amazing soveniers and preservatives. And Best of all the Largest scoops of fresh ice cream !!

Such a beautiful little hidden gem and a beautiful play area for kids with some bunnies and goats. Highly recommend! They have so many things in the market too.
Maram S — Google review
Such a beautiful location to visit. The Farm Market is open year round with ice cream, local fudge, loads of local veggies and fruits, local products like pickles, bakery goods, and even souvenirs. There is also goats and bunnies you can get and feed the ducks with corn for a $1, and a small playground and sandpit for kids. Excellent for all ages.
Samantha P — Google review
An absolutely amazing experience picking apples here! Also WOW to their sunflower field!!! The farmer on his tractor even got out and personally told us where some great apples were! What a special moment! Will definitely be back
Micaylaandcrabman — Google review
Prices are steep, high tourist area. I do love grabbing some icecream from here and taking a walk around the pond and visiting the goats and bunnies. They have a little play area for kids as well by the pond. The store itself selection is okay but as I said I find them quite pricey. They do have a unique little gift section also
Lisa T — Google review
We had a great time playing Farmer's Golf. Then we bought a bunch of produce from Hennigars. After we ate at the Chick In, which was by the pond.
Trudy H — Google review
Fantastic fresh apples and sweet apple cider, lots of goods including decor, meats, eggs, fresh berries, veggies and bakery items. Very pleasant farm shop to visit!

Small park & Trail to relax while in the Valley. A small lake with few ducks swimming makes it more beautiful. Not crowded and plenty of parking if you wish to stop.

Visitors can enjoy apple picking, a fun corn maze, and wagon rides. The market also offers gourmet delights and local produce for those seeking a culinary adventure. It's an ideal spot for a school trip or a leisurely day out with the family.
Such a beautiful farm. We got honey crisp apples and they were delicious. Lots of people when we went. The wagon ride was super fun. Wish there was more bathrooms the line in the market was wrapped around the whole place. Cute cows and good parking
Sarah — Google review
This is a top notch Farm Market. Not only is there an abundance of fresh produce but they also sell a variety of local goods. Everything from jams, cheese, hot sauce to local books and gifts. It is very clean inside and everything looked so fresh and tasty. Friendly staff and a very nice clean washroom. I think it's well worth the stop.
Brittany M — Google review
Took the kids to the farm for apple picking over the weekend. The sweetest apples I've tasted in Hafa so far. Corn maze, haunted house—the experience was great, but there just weren't enough restaurants.
Liwen C — Google review
Had an amazing experience on a weekend during the fall. best time to loosen up a bit. Great for family picnics. Can't resist the smile and wonder in every child's eyes with every bite of a freshly picked apple.:)

Been there recently for apples U-Pick. No entry fee, have plenty of parking spaces. I liked their Gala apples.
Fazle R — Google review
Today was our 2nd year coming here. Nice place to spend the afternoon with the family. Kids loved the tube slides. The only thing that needs to be adressed is the time of the last wagon ride to the apple u-pick. When we got there around 3:30p PM I asked an employee what time the wagon runs till, and she said until 6. I thought that was strange as last year the last ride was well before 5:30. The whole area closes at 6 PM but ok, she works there, she knows better? We carried on with our time, then while passing through the admissions building to purchase an apple bag, I ask again when the last wagon ride is, as again - the whole place shuts down at 6 so surely the last wagon ride is before then but no, I was told again, the last one is at 6. So my mother and I proceed to the other end where the wagons are, and we ask an employee at the stand when the next wagon is coming and they say one should be coming soon and we can park beside them. Minutes pass and we ask someone else, they say 2 minutes so we wait in our vehicle, 20 minutes pass by and we ask again and the same employee that said "2 minutes" now says " I don't know" my mom and I exit our vehicle to ask again, and the man who drives the wagon to the U-pick shows up and we ask him if he's going now and he said No, he's done for the day. We tell him that we were told he's taking rides until 6 and he says no, that he's been there for 20 minutes and no one needed a ride. We say that's not true as we were beside the wagons waiting for more than 20 minutes and no one was there. He says nothing. We're not going to argue about it so we just decide to walk up. My mom is 68 years old so it was very difficult for her to make it up. I mention it on the way back down as they were closing up the admissions shop. The employee was surprised we were turned away at 5:30 and apologized. Alll in all it's a good time for the family but the wagon ride mixup was a huge turn off. Last year we missed the last ride and again this year, through no fault of our own. Staff need to be more communicative and give consistent answers.
Salam A — Google review
The parking lot was bustling, but we got a spot. People were out in the U-pick with the kids, the store smelled like earth and autumn, and everything was fresh and easy to getting. It's a great destination for a little day trip.

Quaint and friendly Farmer's Market in Wolfville. Local vendors and cute souvenirs, delicious 😋 Meats 🍖 and even spirits. Great food including an exceptional breakfast sandwich made with love. Grab a friend or loved on and take a stroll!

So many artisans and vendors. Along with one of the best Americanos I've had. And make sure to get some momos while you're there cause you won't taste another recipe like it. I forgot to go back to grab some mushroom boxes but will next time, and judging by how long the bakery lines were, I would have to assume it's a Saturday morning staple.

I was visiting the area and stopped by this farmers market - and I loved it! There’s a nice variety of vendors, all very friendly, with lots of local produce, cheese, takeout, and handcrafted items. If you enjoy browsing markets and shopping locally, this is a great spot to check out.

Love this farmer's Market! First visited many year ago, when it was still an outdoor event in a parking lot ... my how it's grown, and all for the good! I love being able to shop local and know my money is going into the pockets of our farmers, and so supporting families and food security in the region - especially this year, when the weather has dealt them a blow. Wolfville Farmer's Market truly has pretty much everything you need, fresh every week, and most pricing is competitive with the grocery stores. SO - no reason NOT to shop local farmers! DID I MENTION: great food vendors and coffee on Saturday mornings? Live music? Potters, woodworkers, jewellery makers, artists, home decor?? ALSO: wfm to go!! They have an online pre-order system, so you can shop from your home, and have your order delivered to a hub for you to pick up! Great vibe, great people, great food.

Such a great place! We’ve been dining here for years. The food is always excellent. Fish and chips, burgers, haddock, everything is so good! Not to mention the fantastic beer! Thanks to all the staff, and the cooks and brewers especially! Keep up doing great job! We appreciate you!

This cozy, low-key spot exudes true East Coast charm. Our server, Jacqueline, was incredibly friendly and attentive, elevating the entire experience. Most of us had the Irish boxty. None of us had seen it at any other restaurants. A solid selection of beers on tap rounded out our relaxed meal.
Anita — Google review
I have no complaints what-so-ever. Food was delicious!! And the waitress did a fantastic job being the only one for lunch time on a Wednesday. I ordered the blueberry ale, spinach and artichoke dip and the bison burger. I prefer this location over the Kentville location - I had about 3 experiences with rude staff at the Kentville resto.
JS F — Google review
Had an amazing time with my two friends tonight!! We went to the Wolfville location and had Lisa as our waitress who was unbelievably phenomenal!! It was our friends birthday and they'd had a bad day, she made sure to take care of us and was super sweet all night. I have never been happier at a restaraunt, none of us have. On top of our wonderful experience with our waitress, the food was above excellent! we had the butter chicken special and devoured it as soon as it hit the table. I greatly recommend this restaraunt to anybody willing to hear! Thank you so much to Lisa for our amazing night!!
Skyler M — Google review
We got brunch there. I got a traditional brunch, and it was ok... the bread was too dry and hard, the fries was pretty soft, but I do like their sausage! my friends love their Benedict as well. The price was super decent, that was a big plus for me. Our server was pretty patient and friendly too. It’s just weird that we were sitting in the bar area (booth), they were asking for ID (and need to be 19+) even we didn’t wanna get any alcohol. Then I saw there’s a little girl just sat next to us lol
Carrie G — Google review
Our server Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She was so warm and attentive and really went the extra mile to make our meal special. My husband mentioned he couldn’t have vinegar dressing so she thoughtfully brought out a poppy seed dressing instead and made sure his salad had no vinegar. It wasn’t just the delicious food, her kindness and service truly made our experience memorable <3
Agam S — Google review
Decent brewpub. Good beer. Quite good food too.
Jim W — Google review
This USED to be one of my favorite places to eat! Loved their steaks. However the last 3 times there, we found out meals disgusting and to the point we actually told our waitress to inform the cook that our foods were terribly over cooked, dried out, tough like hardwood! The salad had more bacon bits then it had spinach! To some it up, after our visit this past week will be our LAST. So sad to see the once loved meals, now the worst ever and we will also never recommend people go there. The prices we paid, we should have been happy with the food.🥴😒

This was a great spot to have a light lunch and drinks! Sat out on the patio in the warm sunshine. Our server was super friendly and the food was delicious. We had the chowder and the mushroom risotto, a flight of beer and an espresso martini. So good! And what a neat old building to house a restaurant! Very cool.

Absolutely adore this spot! First thinge here with my vision tong sister& husband. The servers were chipper, on point and super busy. (Thank you Cody) The food was hot, speedy, and unique with every dish. Not the pub fare I think I may have been expecting. The atmosphere alone is enough to contend with. Will be back again and again. 🍋🍻🍲

Definitely a must-see! Repurposed church turned a restaurant. As nice as the outdoor patio was, the interior was incredible. We ordered the clam chowder, and it came with a homemade pretzel. Everything was delicious!
Natalie B — Google review
Food was great and so was service. It’s a busy spot, we didn’t wait long but heard other people waited a decent amount of time. We really enjoyed the cauliflower bites and the chicken wings. I took a picture of the turkey bacon club, it was good , a little too much bread for me
Geoff D — Google review
Delightful property...an old Wolfville church with so much history. This was my first time here. I thoroughly watching all the patrons enjoying this very BUSY pub...a testament to the pub food, right? Loved that, where we'd see hymns listed, now we see church beers! Pictures included. I ordered fish and chips...a Maritime favorite...with a glass of Illuminate Pale Ale. I am an old woman, rarely drink beer, but it was a HOT Nova Scotia day, so I indulged. The beer was delightful, light, with a hint of mango. Thi chips were grand, light and crisp, perfect for ketchup dipping. The battered fish...interesting...I enjoy light, flaky battered fish. This wasn't it. The batter was okay...nice and crisp...but the fish was heavy and chewy...not my taste at all...but I'm sure that MANY other patrons enjoying it, just like that. After a couple of bites, I left it. My young server was great, and attentive. I did mention my concern to him, and he reduced my fish and chips by 50%, GOOD business practice. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY. Great service, and ready to try some new pub food.
Deborah M — Google review
I would give this place 10 stars if I could! The food was delicious, the service was wonderful and I loved the way they renovated this old church. We tried the seafood chowder and the brisket sandwich and both were fabulous. If you are in the area you have to check this place out!
Ashley M — Google review
I rarely write reviews, even after bad experiences—but this place deserves one. When my family and I had lunch here two weeks ago, the chicken in the Tostadas was completely burnt, the rice in the salmon bowl was undercooked, and the restaurant was full of flies. We had to keep waving them away while eating. I spoke to the manager before paying, but instead of addressing the problems, he shrugged them off. His exact words were: “Which restaurant doesn’t have a few flies? I’m the restaurant manager, not the fly manager.” Although he removed the Tostadas from the bill, I left feeling disappointed and disgusted. I will never be coming back.
G G — Google review
It’s delicious and beautiful, the servers are really nice and welcoming. The cauliflower is absolutely amazing. The seafood chowder is the best ever. And the cider is local and great. You can also buy cans of beer.

Stopped in for lunch, special was a French onion soup and it was better then the soup I had in France! Will absolutely be back to try more of their menu!

Is this normal? Came in at 4pm on Saturday. Ordered two red beers. The barmaid took one from the fridge that had clearly been poured earlier, topped it up and then put it in front of me and then poured the second pint fresh from the tap. I was clearly a tourist as I have a fairly strong Scottish accent. Is this common or was I being taken advantage of? I own a pub in Scotland and would never do this but maybe it’s normal here?
Stephen S — Google review
This was a cute yet dark place, with gathering areas for conversation/drinks and lots of character. It appeared that many were repeat customers, including local students. We ordered the Library burger and the barbecue sandwich with pickled cabbage and both were good and not huge. Service was a bit slow. I received my drink after my food arrived, which I'd rather savor before the meal. Water was not offered- a courtesy I am used to.
Stephanie B — Google review
I enjoyed a lunch here. The pesto "pizza" was more of a flatbread, but delicious. Ingredients were obviously fresh, service was good and friendly.
Courtney C — Google review
I ordered the burger with the aged cheddar, and it was honestly pathetic. For $21 (19+2) the burger was miniscule, I could hardly see the patty from the edges of the buns, had only but a single piece of bacon, and almost indistinguishable about of any other toppings. The patty tasted good, but I still can't recommend it due to the minute size of it for the price. You're better of making your own for half the price. Others within the group had each of the fish dishes (fish sandwich and fish plate) and said it was amazing, so I would recommend staying away from the burger and ordering the fish. Overall, the service was great, and loved the Wolfville atmosphere

Stopped by Irish pub down the road, they didn't seem interested in us, so we left and walked up the road and found this great pub The Library. There was only one very nice lady serving and she was doing a brilliant job. The Schoolhouse Ale was excellent as were the quesadillas and chicken cranberry sandwich. Lovely pub feel inside. Good job!

Really nice place. Stopped in for a drink and appetizer late afternoon and then tried to find another place for dinner. Couldn’t find a better option, so we went back for dinner. I've been coming here almost daily during the week now for almost 2 years. The coffee is excellent. And fresh. Baked goods are excellent. And fresh. And their soups are adventurous and delicious. And the service? I sat down having purchased my goodies and dropped my fork accidentally onto the floor. I got up and approached the counter to exchange it but was beaten to the finish line as the Server had heard the *drop* and had already grabbed a clean one for me and was on her way over... How thoughtful is that? Thank you & good job Charts! 👏

Timmies, a Canadian franchise known for its premium-blend coffee and light fare, including pastries and breakfast sandwiches, is an integral part of many Canadian towns. This popular chain offers a clean environment with well-maintained bathrooms. The servers are knowledgeable and provide excellent recommendations while also accommodating specific requests. For example, they readily customized the order by omitting the egg from an English muffin with bacon and cheese.
Love this wolfville Tim’s . It’s friendly and precise when ordering. My order is fast and the morning staff is so great. They offer up, my only fee is always correct and the coffee is fresh

Currently at Tim's in Wolfville now: June 24, 5:30 p.m. There's an older lady worker who is extremely rude. Been here multiple times on separate occasions. She yelled at my daughter from across the room for ordering from the kiosk. We stayed for a bit and noticed how her demeanor changes when dealing with white customers. She did the same to my friend when she was here and was really embarrassed by how she was treated. She didn't like that she ordered food. We're Asians and this lady is racist, unbecoming and should not be working in the food industry where customer's service is a must.
Lizzie T — Google review
Is the young man server (with curly hair) enjoying his holiday? He is taking too long for looking at the online orders, making drinks and discussing with the customers, while there is a long waiting line. Why am I place an online order and then have been waited almost 15 minutes for picking up? Of course he also doesn’t know how to make drinks too. Please train all of the serves carefully, since I have seen most of them working with the attitude
Tvy N — Google review
I am a student in the area and I typically go to this Tim Hortons for breakfast after my morning class. I understand this is usually a busy time of the day, but I waited 25 minutes for a wrap and an iced cap. And once I got my food it was the wrong order anyways. This isn’t the first time this has happened; a lot of the time I go to this Tim Hortons they end up being out of sausage, eggs, and even hash browns. But they only tell you that they’re out of certain things after you’ve ordered your food so I’m left with a wrap that has lettuce extra cheese and a piece of chicken. I’m a student that doesn’t have much money to begin with, so when I go to Tim’s I’m just asking for my proper order in a timely matter. I don’t think that it is a specific staff problem, But more so the amount of staff working. They need more hands on deck if they want better results.

Hey Linda Smith or should I call you Karen. Don't be publicly writing a workers name for all to see, slow or fast she's polite to all her customers, she's a hard worker and a wonderful mom to a young child who's a very busy little young individual, So if you think you can do better than go apply for a job there and improve the business otherwise choose another Tim Hortons in another town. Bye bye.

Standard Tim Hortons experience. Staff members are generally friendly, but not always. I've never had an issue with food quality but the restaurant is frequently very dirty. Tables are typically dirty and not great to sit and dine in. Food is usually quick, parking is okay. Is what it is

Billie Jean is the slowest worker I have ever seen, when there is a line out the door there is no reason to be moving at freaking turtle pace. Not to mention how all the workers are constantly screaming at each other. I would hardly consider this “fast” food and waiting 25 minutes for a bagel is outrageous. Atleast pretend to try.

Nestled in the picturesque Annapolis Valley, Old Orchard Inn & Spa is a charming family-owned retreat popular for weddings, conferences, and romantic getaways. Guests can indulge in activities like wine tasting, hiking, whale watching, and kayaking. The resort offers traditional rooms and cabins along with casual dining options, an indoor pool, and a spa offering rejuvenating treatments like hot stone massages.
This property was spotless, I have never stayed somewhere so clean. The rooms, the restaurant, even the public bathrooms were absolutely spotless. Easy to navigate, and loved the indoor hallway connecting the drive up rooms. The beds were so comfy, I actually had a full night sleep for the first time in a very long time. Close to so many beautiful sights, shops and the view of the orchards was lovely. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed in a cottage for two nights, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The price for the cottage was very reasonable, and we were able to sit outside in chairs at night. The cottage was basic but suited our needs. The resort amenities were excellent. We were able to enjoy the indoor pool, outdoor hot tubs, sauna, large deck, and outdoor fire bowls. I would suggest to leave the resort for lunch or supper, rather than go to the hotel restaurant. It had limited options and the prices were high, but the staff were professional and the decor was quite nice.

My wife and I love this hotel so much that we have practically made 3 or 4 trips this past summer. Each time we stayed for 3-4 days and each trip we found Wanda and her housekeeping team to be friendly, welcoming and incredibly professional. The front desk staff is personable, professional and courteous and attentive. The restaurant has amazing views of the orchards and the beautiful landscape of the valley. The restaurant staff are all friendly and professional and efficient. The food served is among the best in the valley regardless of the time of day you stop in. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant just happens to be our favorite. While the season is quickly approaching the time when the weather changes for the worse, we are already thinking of our next trip to Wolfville for the fun and sun and comfort of the Old Orchard Inn.

My friend and I recently visited your beautiful accommodations. We had a fantastic view from our room. The grounds are so lovely and we we're so happy to enjoy an evening stroll through your orchard. We had a fantastic dining experience at your beautifully renovated restaurant. The attention to detail in the upgrades is truly impressive. The wine selection and menu are outstanding, and the staff are exceptionally warm and welcoming. The hot tubs are such a delightful addition and the perfect way to end the day before turning in for the night. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

My Son and his wife had their entire wedding here and the weekend was absolutely magical. The service was 10 out of 10. The attention to detail with the wedding coordinator was 10 out of 10. The rooms were renovated and absolutely gorgeous. We had one on ground level and the bedding and the linens everything was so comfortable. The restaurant is redone and is absolutely pleasing to the eye and the food. We only had breakfast there .The wedding food was 10/10 delicious and hot and so many Choices. The patio and the outdoor hot tubs and the entire resort is beautiful. Definitely enjoyed our full weekend there with 170 friends and family. Its a beautiful renovated property I would definitely recommend.

Fall get away - excellent stay. Comfortable, well appointed newly renovated room overlooking orchard, apple picking, pool and hot tubs open but didn't use, very clean room, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast with a scenic view of autumn colors. Only con would be tv size but more important to husband than myself. All in all, a lovely break and would highly recommend.

Where to begin? Let’s start with the name. It is an Inn. It is an Orchard. And it is OLD. Filthy stained carpets running through hallways the colour of baby vomit. Scratched and chipped 1970s furniture in the room. It takes nearly an hour to fill the jacuzzi tub due to lousy water pressure. You’re lucky to get ANYTHING replenished by housekeeping. And in a room clearly booked for two, I got 1 bottle of water on day 1 and a single apple (which by the way had a produce sticker on it from a grocery store!). Staff are upbeat and friendly but that can’t make up for all the shortfalls. Restaurant is under the mistaken impression they are a fine dining option while servers roam about in dirty jeans. Food is mediocre at best. The whole place gives a Holiday Inn Express vibe where they sublet some space to an Irving Big Stop restaurant. Paid $350 a night for the room and this is how housekeeping made up the room on the second day. (Third day was as bad with an uncleaned tub). I’m editing the review because of the response from the hotel. We were in the room 4 nights, not 2. And not once did we put a do not disturb sign up. We were out of the room from 9:30am to late afternoon. Furthermore, the bed was made (in a half hearted way) every day so how was this done if there was a do not disturb sign? And the photos of the towels were how HOUSEKEEPING placed them. I use my towels two days then they go on the floor. The team did not give you the whole truth. Also, while your reviews may be generally positive for the restaurant, I did not enjoy my visit. Perhaps it was coloured by my experience at the hotel.

In the vibrant university town of Wolfville, nestled in the picturesque Annapolis Valley, lies the renowned Annapolis Cider Company. This cidery prides itself on using locally sourced hand-picked apples from nearby orchards to craft their exceptional ciders right on Main Street. Visitors can observe the cider-making process from the tasting room and explore a spacious retail shop showcasing art that captures the stunning Annapolis Valley scenery.
Some of the best Ciders produced in the province are here! The Annapolis Cider company provides both tasting and tours for anyone interested, and their drinks tasted great. I believe it's one of the first times I had ordered a flight and didn't dislike any of them. I was bummed that the Classic bottles were sold out when we visited but we got something different that also tastes just as good. Their cider prices are very reasonable, usually under $30 a bottle. The place is also very clean, and staff were helpful in guiding us through the tap process. I recommend the Annapolis Cider company to anyone in the area that loves cider!

Wow! My husband and I went to this brewery around 2:00 on July 21st. The two guys working at that time were absolutely fantastic! They were so friendly, welcoming, kind and knowledgeable about the ciders. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a flight (along with the awesome corn nuts) and had a really wonderful time here. The ciders were among the best we’ve ever had and the service was really unbeatable. Thanks for everything - we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town and your Earl Blue is my all-time new favorite cider. :)
Jennifer M — Google review
Always a must-go when I’m in Wolfville. A bit pricy (but i believe that’s normal for cider), but excellent flavours. Highly recommend getting a flight and trying a variety, figuring out what you prefer, then getting glasses of that in following visits. The Earl Blue is a knockout, but every cider i’ve had has been excellent so far. I recommend sitting outside and watching the world go by while you drink.

My girlfriend brought me here! I was never big into ciders before, although after this experience I may have just realized I am a cider guy lol. We tried a flight of the regular and premium and ended up buying a bottle for home of our favorite one. The patio and interior are super cute and the staff was very friendly. We will be back! Thank you 🫶🏼

A great surprise in the heart of Wolfville. Pleasantly surprised by the many different flavors of ciders available. Cider is not normally an option we consider when we are on the winery trail but very glad to have stopped here. The ciders were crisp and flavourful with a number of options. Flights were very reasonable @ $7 a flight which included corn nuts! Service was spectacular as staff were friendly, and knowledgeable. There's a tractor inside for a fun photo op too. No food onsite but right next door to some local restaurants. Will definitely be going again!
Kevin S — Google review
First time here. Pleased that they have the Flights (sampler of 3 different ciders). Great for a nice warm, sunny evening.
Peggy P — Google review
The people working there are extremely nice. They helped us choose and were very knowledgeable of the product. We were struggling to choose which cider options to pick on our flight so they offered us tasters to help our decision. The building itself was very nice with the cider theme all throughout. You can also buy all their products here especially ones that aren’t available at nslc. I even submitted and order online, although there is a three bottle minimum for the orders the shipping process was simple and very fast.

Clock Park is a serene recreational area situated in close proximity to the city center. This lush green space offers a peaceful refuge for visitors seeking tranquility amidst the bustling urban environment. The park boasts an assortment of tall trees, vibrant shrubs, and colorful flowers that create a captivating natural ambiance. Multiple pathways wind through this picturesque landscape, providing opportunities for leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs.
This is a very small park. If you're walking around town and looking for a place to rest this is the perfect area to do that. If you're looking for a place that's a lot more quieter because this part is on the main road then you'll have to go to the Waterfront Park. The only reason why I've given this location a 3-star rating is because it's simply so noisy because of the traffic.

The Real Scoop Ice Cream & Espresso Shop is a unique and magical place for ice cream lovers. They offer a variety of base flavors and allow customers to mix in their desired ingredients. The shop has gained popularity for its delicious soft serve, which is particularly known for its generous amount of cookie dough. Customers rave about the homemade quality of the ice cream as well as the wide selection of toppings available.

Yummm this ice cream is SO fresh and delicious. Waffle cone made fresh. Homemade ice cream… Can’t beat it! Must visit spot if you’re in the Valley! I had the salted caramel and strawberry scoops. So good!

🔺first pic- 1. salted caramel base with cinnamon roll mix-in (left) 2. chocolate base with chocolate coffee beans (right) 🔺second pic- 1. vanilla base with cinnamon roll mix-in and smarties (left)- really nice balance, not too overpowering, and the smarties added a great crunch. 2. vanilla base with chocolate covered almonds (middle)- smooth and balanced, not too sweet. 3. strawberry base with cheesecake mix-in (right)- definitely on the sweeter side, but if you like that combo and don’t mind the extra sweetness, it’s a good pick. both of these flavors were creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. overall, loved the variety and how customizable it is- definitely a great spot for ice cream in wolfville🩷

I’m a lover of all ice cream. Big and small, short and tall, hard to soft, I love ‘em all. I knew when I walked into this shop I was walking into something magical. The shop was very unique with their approach to soft serve. They have 4 base flavours that you can choose from. Then you mix in the ingredients you want. I went with the most popular. The vanilla and cookie dough but I opted to add skor pieces. At first I thought this was really good but little did I know the cookie dough was inside the cone. And let me tell you, the cookie dough was plentiful! I’m not lying when I say this is the best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. Good thing I don’t live close by or else I’d start looking like soft serve
Ryan L — Google review
The best icecream, made in house. The reeces peanut butter cookie dough was mixed in instead of typical little chunks of cookie dough, which made the icecream so much better. One of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. The waffle cone was thin enough that it didn’t feel like a lot to eat, not leaving you bloated or overfilled.

Very cool and novel concept for ice cream. From three different variants to assemble the ice cream I found super. The waffles are baked in the store itself. The ice cream was super tasty and will try again.

Exceptional ice cream shop located in Wolfville, Nova Scotia! A must go location for people of all ages. When they say the possibilities are endless, they truly mean it! All of their ice cream and waffle cones are made on site, and the smell of freshly baked waffle cones will leave you feeling comforted and happy. They serve milk shakes, ice cream in a cone or waffle bowl, and offer a variety of combinations with the option to add additional toppings. The additional toppings list is too long to share but includes everything from brownies to skor and gummies. The interior design boasts several swings that bring out the child in even the grumpiest of adults. Picnic tables and comfortable anorondek chairs on a covered porch make this place a great location for relaxing and spending time with family and friends. For Expresso lovers, they serve Java Blend Coffee Roaster, and if floats or chocolate are what you crave, they have lots! Will definitely be back!

Magic Winery Bus Limited

4.4
(39)
Embark on an unforgettable journey with the Magic Winery Bus Limited, where you can explore the stunning vineyards of Wolfville, one of Canada's premier wine regions. This delightful double-decker bus tour takes you to four unique wineries, allowing for a full hour at each stop to savor exquisite wines and soak in the picturesque surroundings. As you travel between vineyards, you'll be entertained by engaging stories about the region's rich history and its connection to local food producers.
This tour company does a fabulous job. Nice clean bus, amazing driver (Paul!) and guide (Jeremy!). Paul has been driving double decker buses for over 14 yrs! Not his first rodeo, and it showed! He was great! Jeremy was fun and a wealth of information and shared great tid bits on and off throughout the tour. It can get quite noisy (especially nearer the end of the tour, lol), so if truly interested in all he is sharing, you may wish to sit downstairs of the bus. * the more boisterous crowd gathered up top. Ample seats (if full I believe sits around 60 ppl) - we were the very last Sunday tour of the season and had 21 ppl. If full, they do ask ppl sit 2 to a seat which is a bit cozy but comfortable. There are windows that I do believe open but it was fresh out so ours stayed closed. There were 2 groups celebrating Birthdays, one couple a 40th wedding anniversary and a pair of friends celebrating their 38th Friendiversary. Lots of happy ppl, from all over: NS, PEI, ON, Zimbabwe. It was fun chatting with the other passengers. We went on the Sunday afternoon (Oct. 27th, 2024) tour and hit 4 great stops that shared some fab wines. Benjamin Bridge, Luckett, Lightfoot, Le Grand Pre. Each winery did a nice job. The lunch was at Le Grand Pre - a cold lunch with a glass of wine, wrap, pasta salad and a dessert (served in a takeaway container). It was quite tasty. We sat outside in a tent where it was a little chilly but they turned on 2 heaters and brought us all blankets. Each stop was informative and left time at the end to shop and look around. They supply fab wine bags (holds approx 6-7 bottles) and encouraged you to use as many as you require for all of your purchases (this was a nice surprise - but would have been nice to know up front as we had prepared and brought our own bags). Kept all up at the front of the bus in a big bin (so the full bags don't move around), they are prepared to tag each bag with your name on them so the bags don't get mixed up. Asked to be there 30 min before departure, arrived around 12:15pm, took off around 12:50pm as we waited for a cpl of stragglers. So it was a bit of a wait but the pick up location is at the tourism building so many ppl waited in there so as not to get chilly (no real seating tho). Back by 5:45pm. So much fun!! Highly recommend! Will definitely do it again. *while the regular Magic Wine Bus tours have now stopped for the season (many vineyards close), they will be offering Holiday tours coming up (not sure of the vineyards or exact timing but details are on their website). @magicwinebus

This was my husband and I’s first wine tour. The bus was so cool, room for everyone on the second level! Jamie & our driver were phenomenal and really brought the experience to the next level. We made friends on the tour and it was a great time. We stopped at 4 wineries that were all very different and I felt the tour was very well rounded because of it. We will definitely do another tour in the future!

We were very disappointed with our experience on the Magic Winery Bus Tour. When we requested for one of our group members to join late due to a family emergency, the owner (David) was incredibly rude and dismissive. Not to mention, that he advertised the tour as 3 hours long rather than the 5 hours stated on the website. This set a very poor tone for what should have been a fun and memorable day. The only saving grace of the tour was our guide, Lexi, who was entertaining, welcoming, and did her best to make the experience enjoyable. As a group of 5 Acadia alumni, we were excited to revisit the Valley, but unfortunately this tour did not live up to expectations. The pours at each stop were tiny (at most 2oz per stop) and after paying nearly $130 for the tour, it felt unreasonable to then be expected to buy additional tasting flights. You would get far better value (and more wine) by designating a driver and visiting the vineyards directly, purchasing flights as you go. The vineyard locations themselves were beautiful, but overall this tour was overpriced and left us feeling disappointed. Sadly, we will not be returning. **UPDATE: The reply to this review only reinforces the company's values in not accommodating their guests or ensuring they have an experience that is value for their money.
L T — Google review
Wonderful tour with regional history during the bus rides between wineries/brewery. Bus driver and host were both professional, knowledgeable yet humorous. Great combination. 1 hour was just the right time frame per winery to savour the local wines offered at each vineyard and explore the property if one can get past the flights of wine first. The bus company has perfected their system of handling your purchases and nothing is lost or mixed up To bad you can only give 5 stars. Worth the money

Excellent wine tour out of Wolfsville NS with a great selection of wineries and wines from the Annapolis Valley region. Nova Scotia is known for it's white wine and traditional methods bubbly wine selections; I was unsure I was going to like most of the wines as a red wine drinker, but was surprised there wasn't a single wine I did not enjoy! It was also really cool to phone home from the phone box at the Luckett winery. Spectacular views along the way added to the experience. The old style bus was super neat to ride in and our guide provided us with comedic on board entertainment.
Shevaughn B — Google review
They hired an Acadia student, ‘Lexi’, to narrate the trip on the bus. Somewhere a village is missing an idiot. She yammered about her personal life until we begged for music instead. She gave poor reviews to many businesses in Wolfville, she told us about how her friends all lived in a different dorm her freshman year! She told us how she got kicked out of the Anvil (a local bar), and wasn’t allowed back! We got four sentences about the history of the Annapolis Valley / winemaking there, most of which was incorrect. There were some egregious statements made about the Mi’kmaq. (I don’t think it’s accurate to say that they ‘founded the valley’. They’ve been here for 10,000 years. They didn’t roll in and establish a Chamber of Commerce, LEXI. We would’ve been embarrassed for her, if we weren’t so annoyed. She was by far the worst part of the trip. She was oblivious to her audience’s annoyance…She just continued to yammer and yammer about inappropriate personal things… my god, she’s the worst. Please supervise her, train her, something! UPDATE: The owner responded by mansplaining Mi’kmaq history (read: sent me a Wikipedia entrance) And telling me that I should’ve known a brewery was included. Yes, DAVID, we knew there was a brewery included, It was our only option for a Saturday. We were disappointed that the beer wasn’t good.

Great tour and tasting at a variety of Nova Scotia wineries. Each winery has its own Tidal Bay, Nova Scotia's signature wine, very different... but similar. No duplications of any other wines. Highly recommend. Would do it again.

A wonderfully curated wine tour, including 4 wineries in the area. The quality of wines varied between each property, but the hospitality and scenery within the valley was breathtaking. Notable mention to Lucketts Winery, our tour guide Jeremy who was funny, informative and energetic without being overbearing. The tour was well organized, timing between wineries and proper covid protocols were very well integrated. And it must be mentioned that the transportation was a authentic 1960s British double decker bus - no AC, so dress appropriately, and bring water! Wolfville and the Annapolis Valley are a gem in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia!

Willow Park is the perfect destination to beat the summer heat with its fantastic splash pad featuring sprinklers and water cannons for all to enjoy. The park has undergone significant improvements over the years, including the addition of a splash pad and an enhanced recreation area for children. While the picnic area is relatively small, it offers a cozy space for families to relax. The recent renovations have added shaded areas provided by trees and pleasant trails that offer a reprieve from the sun on hot days.
I love this little town, this reserve is perfect for kids playing. Some lookouts and good restaurants are nearby and good for relaxing.

I've been going to this park ever since I was a little kid. Over that vast amount of years it has improved a huge amount. There is now a splash pad and a better Recreation Area for children. The picnic area is quite small so it has limited space if you want to take your family. And if somebody already has a family there, there is not really a lot of space for a huge number of other families to congregate unless you bring your own seating My only complaint is that in the summertime they generally shut the Splash Pad off at around 6:00 p.m. even though there's sometimes two to three more hours of sunlight. So if the kids are at the splash pad and they're having a wonderful time, once they have dinner you might as well pack up and go home because you can't enjoy the splash pad after 6:00 p.m.

Great museum! Lots to see and the staff are very knowledgeable!

Had a lovely tour of the house. So nice to see it. There's a ghost... so if you know about them... you know. She tried to straighten our posture! To be ladies!

This is a great museum. The current curator even puts on little tea parties for kids. We brewed peppermint tea and had a selection of cookies and it was perfect. She got to drink out of the nice antique tea cups, and wasn't made to feel like a child. I love bringing my daughter down to share some of the heritage of Wolfville's past and fully recommend it to anyone in the area. Don't forget to sign the guest book! This place is free to visit, however if you'd like to contribute to keeping the museum running there is a donation box at the front door.

FYI: I drove from Texas, USA to do family research. The website says open on Wednesday at 10:00AM. I'm at the museum now, Weds, Sept 14, 10:05, and there's a note posted on the door, not opened on Weds in Sept. I leave town tomorrow. I'm very sad and disappointed. Please keep the website up to date.

Nestled on Main Street in Wolfville, Juniper Food + Wine is a charming micro-restaurant that celebrates the beauty of local ingredients through its ever-evolving menu. While some beloved dishes may come and go with the seasons—like their dreamy gnocchi—the culinary creations here are consistently refined yet accessible. Guests rave about delightful offerings such as baked potato beignets and expertly crafted pork belly, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.
Came for brunch, really sweet spot. Tasty dishes and friendly service. Their chicken liver mousse was especially delicious!

Stopped here last night. We didn't have reservations so we grabber a seat outside. They have a lovely little patio. The server was fantastic. Friendly and informative. We got the fried chicken sandwich and the gnocchi. Both were excellent. It was the best fried chicken I have ever had outside of Korean fried chicken. Crispy on the outside. Moist on the inside. The gnocchi appeared to be home made and again was perfectly flavored. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and warm hospitality Juniper Food and Wine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcome thanks to the friendly and attentive service. The highlight of our evening was without doubt the perfectly cooked scallops – fresh, tender, and full of flavour. The menu is thoughtfully curated, the atmosphere is warm and stylish, and every dish we saw coming out of the kitchen looked beautiful. A place well worth going out of your way to visit.

Wonderful experience. The food was exceptional and surpassed our expectations, paired with warm welcome service today it made for a truly wonderful experience. Thank you so much

It was a limited offer steak and we got the last one. Honestly, I’m mad…because I know I’ll never be able to cook something this good. Every dish was seasoned perfectly - the mushrooms and gem salad were like a punch in the face of flavour. The beignet potatoes…wow… so so so good, light, crispy. The steak (40$ for a 12oz) was a limited offer and was locally sourced and my goodness, I’ve never had wagyu, but I imagine that’s what it it’s like. Literally just melts in your mouth. Paired with a chimichurri and a dark jus, this hit on every level. Scallops were also delish. We’re coming back, end of story

We have been to Juniper many times whether as a couple, with family or with friends. We’ve celebrated birthdays and new year eves here. The food is always top notch, the service friendly and the open-plan kitchen atmosphere cosy. The menu is fresh and refined, using seasonal high quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

Showed up for an early dinner (5pm) at Juniper. I did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate me in a small nook counter table. I had oysters (delish), the steak (ok), a dessert with 2 glasses of wine. The dessert, a sweetcorn crème brulée was a stand out for me. It was excellently delicious! My bill quickly appeared as I was done with dessert, I am going to assume they needed my table. Overall the food was good, the ambience was ok as I did not feel particular warmth from the overall experience.

Juniper Food & Wine was our first restaurant stop on our two week road trip to Nova Scotia. It was absolutely incredible, a true delight for your taste buds. Each dish was carefully prepared and you could tell that all the ingredients used were fresh and locally sourced. We asked the waitress how many people were in the kitchen and she explained - Chef Jeff (Head Chef/owner) the sous chef and the dishwasher. They are a true force that will truly put Wolfville on the map. We went to many high end restaurants following our experience at Juniper food & wine and ALL of them fell short. My hats off to Chef Jeff, the kitchen staff and servers as they all really brought food and service to the table at a standard that is truly hard to find.

Subway is a popular counter-serve chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads, offering a variety of healthy options. It has gained recognition as one of the valley's best franchises. While some customers have had mixed experiences with different locations, they have praised the store in Wolfville for its exceptional service and consistently delicious subs.
A perfectly fine Subway located in Wolfville on main Street. Restaurant is kept clean, and cold which is nice during the hot summer days. Staff were friendly and quick. The sandwich I ordered was made quickly and was made well. I'll definitely be back to this location.
Adam D — Google review
I’ve ordered from here many times and somehow, the food and service just continues to get worse. They put the bare minimum amount of vegetables on their sandwiches and disregard you if you ask for more. The rice bowls (which are usually quite filling from anywheres else) are half empty when you open them. Today I ordered the fiesta beans and corn side salad to try along with my sub, and this is what I received. Two condiment cups with maybe a teaspoon of food in each. I do not plan on buying from this location again.
Breanna P — Google review
If you order on the app and give a 0$ tip they will make your food with absolutely no care and give you less food on purpose, Subway should NOT be asking for tips. It’s your job to make my food, you get paid to make my food, you aren’t waiting my table, you aren’t checking up on me to see how the food is. Pic below is my salad after I shook it. I have ordered this exact salad from Berwick and New Minas multiple times and have never received one with so little in the bowl, I guess that’s what I get for not tipping.

While I was ordering a my sub, the short filipino guy was scratching his head with gloves on while my sub was in the toaster. Ewwww🤮and next, Filipino lady took my payment had full of attitude (I don't know how a restaurant gets worse within 3months of summer break, it was me and my buddies’ favorite place to eat earlier). Students please stay away from this place.

I had a very rude server when ordering my sub, his name tag said Ferinand. He was not attentive and completely ignored me and was unhygienic. Luckily i had a trainiee called Jacob take care of all my needs and was very caring towards my experience he really turned my experience around but even so “Ferinand” was bringing down Jacob in negative ways. Thank you Jacob and subway do better.

The most ridiculous and awful experience ever had in my life. The most worst customer service and staffs are very rude. The Blomidon Inn is a charming Victorian-style lodging housed in a grand 19th-century building. It offers a free breakfast buffet and Wi-Fi for guests. This landmark property in Wolfville has been providing exceptional hospitality to visitors, with well-maintained historic buildings and grounds. The on-site dining experience is highly praised, featuring a great menu with seasonal and local emphasis, as well as an impressive wine list curated by the knowledgeable sommelier.
We recently visited Blomidon Inn for an overnight trip to Wolfville. The Inn is full of character and is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms have upgraded washrooms and very comfortable rooms. The staff are excellent, very kind and always accommodating. The continental breakfast was amazing! Be sure to walk through their gardens. We highly recommend staying at Blomidon Inn.

my fiancé took me to stay here for my birthday, and it was such an incredible surprise! both the outside and inside of the building are both beautiful, the property and gardens were lovely to walk by, and it was super quiet all the time which made the atmosphere even more perfect for a relaxing time away from the city. the staff were amazing and kind, and everything was just so nice that i couldn't stop walking around the building as much as i could to see everything in it. after a sudden change in our schedule after we had checked out in the morning and ended up having to come back, we were even given a discounted stay in the executive suite which was just lovely as well. i would love to stay here again!

This is our go to dining place for family gatherings, quiet dinners, and tranquil times. Michael and staff provide excellent service, quality food and superb atmosphere. We have traveled all over the world and eaten in many wonderful places Blomidon is our Favourite. If we didn't live so close, we would love to stay there as well. It is a class act in all respects. We have had family and friends stay at the Inn and they all loved it. From the beautiful gardens, nicely appointed rooms to the excellent location, it is a thoroughly delightful spot to spend time, an evening , a few days, or weeks!

We had another fabulous stay at the Blomidon. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition to our party. The gazebo was perfect for a picnic for 6. We enjoyed the continental breakfasts and dinner in the dining room. The weather was great for pre dinner drinks on the patio. Shout out to the wonderful staff. Looking forward to our next stay.

While everyone who reads about this place knows that there is no elevator.. so that aside, this place was a beautiful find. While the rooms weren't perfect, they had plenty of charm and amenities that a traveler will always look for, and then some. The only thing lacking was a coffee option in the room. Quuen beds only, but very clean and comfortable. Definitely a repeat stay place. Oh... And the food was amazing. Highly recommend the gourmet dinner option as part of your stay. (day dependent)

A beautiful heritage hotel in the gorgeous community of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Prior to check in we got some great recommendations for wineries and restaurants in the area. All were spot on! Upon check in the young man who greeted us was doing it all including carrying our bags, mixing up refreshments and telling us more about the area and delivering all the things to our room to make our visit more comfortable. The building and grounds were beautifully kept and we enjoyed a relaxing evening prior to our flight home. Don’t skip a trip to wine country and a stay at this hotel - it’s well worth it!

Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards is a family-owned, certified organic winery and biodynamic farm established in 2009. The estate offers various tasting options in a restored barn and features a patio with picturesque views of rolling hills, orchards, the Minas Basin, and grazing vineyard sheep.
Come for the wine, but stay for the food! My wife and I have had a blast with their wine and tours, but we’ve never tried their food. We heard about their mouthwatering fried chicken on the Friday menu, so we decided to give it a shot. Once you get past the gorgeous atmosphere and the amazing wine choices, you realize the food is absolutely incredible! I’d say it’s the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and food menu. We didn’t feel rushed, and the food came at a nice pace. The prices were reasonable for the quality of their wines and food. We would highly recommend this place for their food. If you’re in the area doing wine tours, make sure this is on your list of wineries to visit.

If there's a wait, visit the concierge and book a table. Then grab a glass of wine and tour the ground. Half hour later you get a text your table is ready and 20 min later (after your $16 flight of wine) you're enjoying lunch. An absolutely pleasurable experience!

L&W is a beautiful vineyard! If you go for a tasting the wines are fantastic, and they even have non-alcoholic flight options! If you go for a meal they have the best pizzas (and pizza crust dips)! L&W, I’ll be back!

Lightfoot & Wolfville has an extensive patio - indoors and out - which provides a view of their stunning vineyard and mud flats. Tasting flights were all amazing and staff was super friendly - even allowed us a taste of Tidal Bay when we didn’t get it in the flight.

We chose Lightfoot & Wolfville for our fall wedding venue and we can not say enough good things about our whole experience. All of the staff were so accommodating and kind and made sure to keep our day stress-free and running smoothly. The property is so beautiful and up-kept but the highlight was the food! Everyone talked about how much they enjoyed their drinks, meals, and desserts and some of the guests returned the next day for lunch while others said they will be returning again to the area to go there to dine. We are so grateful and really feel they went above and beyond for our special day. Highly recommend this spot for a wedding, a bite to eat, or just to try the delicious wine and stroll the beautiful property.

The Covenanter Church is an appealing destination, despite its limited attractions. The church itself is a charming two-century-old structure built in the style of a meeting house. Its accompanying cemetery exudes historical significance, although the passage of time has made it challenging to decipher dates on the grave markers. Nevertheless, the church's rich history adds to its allure and makes it a worthwhile stop for those passing by.

Wineries & Vineyards
Domaine de Grand Pré, Atlantic Canada's oldest farm winery, is set to open an inn on its vineyard this spring. Nestled in the Annapolis Valley near a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the estate offers breathtaking views of rolling green hills and lush vineyards with ripening grapes. Guests can indulge in some of the best wine in Canada and enjoy a multi-course meal at the Chefs Table Dining experience with Chef Jason Lynch.
A lovely spot to take in some views, have a chat and a taste of wine selection. Lucas served the wines gracefully sharing tidbits of knowledge on wine and winemaking - why the whites dominate, how ice wine is made, and how they lost a crop a few years ago. There were a few options to try out in combinations of three(just do one set if you are driving!). I happen to prefer red, but I did enjoy their white selection and took a creamy apple liqueur home!
Solveiga A — Google review
This beautiful winery is located in the stunning Annapolis Valley region. What a treat to enjoy their wine tasting and walk around the grounds in historic UNESCO Grand Prix Heritage site. The tastings were $12 with generous pours of the wines produced from grapes unique to the area. We really enjoyed and recommend their L’Acadie for white wine drinkers and their Field Blend for red wine drinkers.
Crystal W — Google review
Grand Pré - we are so glad we stopped by before you closed. Staff was so helpful and recommended flights - and we were lucky enough to try their Muscato. They haven’t had Muscato since 2017, so it was a real treat. Had the tasting fees waived because we bought a box! Thanks!
Lisa T — Google review
I gave 1 star because we couldn't get served at all. When we arrived, we were asked to wait 5-10 minutes — which we did. However, we then had to wait another 10 minutes while they served other people who arrived after us. When we were told to wait again, we decided to leave — there's no point in waiting when locals openly cut ahead, while you, as a polite foreigner, stand and wait for unclear reasons. Also, there are no snacks offered to go with the wine — not even cheese and crackers. There are many other wineries that are much more friendly and customer-oriented, so why waste your time here? It’s just a highly promoted tourist spot where you'll end up waiting in line with a big group of people. I do not recommend it.
Anna P — Google review
Great Winery producing top quality Nova Scotian wines. Particularly their Tidal Bay, NS Brut and Ice wines are very good. The charcuterie board offered with wine tasting is also a gourmet delight. Overall a great winery to visit, especially for those who enjoy wines on the sweeter end such as Moscato and rislings.
Sheldon W — Google review
The winery is nice and has a nice walk. However, if you are coming here for food, change your mind and make sure to have food beforehand. The wine is really good, especially the NS red. However the portions for food are so small that it leaves you confused whether you had food or air. I’m sure I lost calories by eating the food. So if you want to lose calories, it is a great spot. Oh and bring salt with you unless you want to eat just plain ingredients with no spice, trust me.

Mercator Vineyards is a standout producer of Tidal Bay, focusing on crafting artisan, small-lot wines. The vineyard carefully selects and plants each varietal to harmonize with the specific soils, slopes, and microclimates of the estate. With 20 beehives located around the vineyard, Mercator also produces its own honey.

The wines we purchased here were very good and we enjoyed them a lot. 5 stars. However, unfortunately, the salesgirl was not very knowledgeable about the wines she was selling. It would also be great if the shop offered snacks like nuts and crackers, as they are always helpful for comparing different wine varieties.

I have done a couple winery tours in Wolfville but this was the first time visiting Mercator Vineyards. The building is beautiful and very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. They have a beautiful area upstairs for larger groups. The only downfall was the amount of each pour at the tasting. The amount of wine given for each wine tasting was SO much less than every other winery we visited, it definitely wasn’t an ounce. It appeared to be more like 1/4 an ounce. It was so obvious that a number of people in our tour made a comment about it. I’m not sure if the staff member was just a new employee, as he had mentioned he was a student at a university in the area? I’m not sure.. but other than that, it was a great visit!! Shoutout to the staff member from Newfoundland.. you’re awesome!!

We stopped into Mercator Vineyards on a weekend road trip, and it was such a great experience. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, perfect for enjoying some amazing wine. Their Tidal Bay is honestly the best we’ve had in the region, and the reds were spectacular too. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and you could tell they really love what they do. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to and recommending to friends.

We visited Mercator Vineyards a few weeks ago to sample some their wines. It was a beautiful farmhouse building with several rooms and seating areas indoors and outside. The wines we tried were actually very enjoyable; and, the service was knowledgeable and friendly.

The staff here is incredible and super accomodations! The wine pairings were well done and the back patio makes for a perfect place to relax and enjoy. For those travelling with dogs, the back patio and grass area is pet friendly. They have dog water bowls and treats as well! Highly recommend adding this to your list of stops.

Scott P — Google review
If you're thinking about attending this university, run while you still can. It was easily the worst 8 months of my life. I was sleep deprived all year from hearing my neighbors punch holes in the wall at 3 AM and break my section's furniture (which everybody was charged for). Some of the professors weren't terrible, and the classes were bearable. The student life, on the other hand, was atrocious. The parties are trashy and disgusting, the whole campus smells foul, the dining hall food isn't edible, there's nothing to do, nobody has manners, most buildings appear unkept, the only gym is unusable, and the medical services are a joke. I could go on, but I believe I have made my point. No employer will ever take you seriously with a degree from this "university," so if you care about your future, I'd highly suggest looking elsewhere and if you just want parties, find some place less trashy.

Was there to watch my son a second year school of music student. Perform in a christmas concert. The singers and orchestra were amazing. Let alone the beauty of the campass
Dave R — Google review
A review from someone who went to school here: Unlike most of the reviewers on here, I didn’t just take a stroll through campus. Wolfville is in fact an amazing town. It has everything and the people are great; but Acadia definitely benefits from this. If you think that going to a smaller school with smaller classes and a more personal approach to learning will benefit you than rethink your strategy. This school is just like every other university. The profs don’t care and the admin care even less. Every inquiry I’ve had with administration just got passed on to someone else and no one who works here has any idea what’s going on. Pick the school you attend based on the city, because I promise no matter what university you go to, it will be the same everywhere. You are just a number regardless of its size.

There is so much wrong with this institution. The sociology professor "Dr." Dahringer is unqualified, meal hall is overpriced for what it is, residence is a scam that will charge you for every penny you're worth, the student body is arrogant and obnoxious, and lastly when I tried to get my transcript from the university after leaving they never got it to me. Whatever they tell you about the place is a lie and all that you see is an illusion. Its a money grabbing institution that does not care about their students rather the money in their pockets. My advice is to look elsewhere for an education and think twice about Acadia. The reason I am going out of my way to write this is because I was cut from the football team for whatever reason the coach had. Student athletes are treated as a product, not a person. I was cut in the middle of the summer, long after training camp was over. I had no chance to cancel my lease, collect my belongings, and most importantly transfer programs to another school. Bottom line is Acadia does not care about you. Do not go there.

The Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens in Wolfville, Nova Scotia is a serene and informative destination. The gardens feature native Acadian forest plants as well as those brought by early settlers to the Maritimes. Visitors can explore a variety of flora and observe ongoing horticulture research conducted at the university. The site includes a hot house where botanists work with plants, and a picturesque brook with a small waterfall leading into a bog area.
Loved the gardens. They were lush and varied. We went late summer so some things were still in bloom. Definitely not peak for other things. The signage was great to learn about different plants and regions where to find them throughout Nova Scotia. The fountain was on and beautiful. We were able to access the building and café no problem and there was a tour taking place we didn't participate in a formal tour and just self guided around. There was lots to see and I would definitely go back!

I recently visited the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens and was absolutely enchanted by the experience. The gardens are meticulously maintained and offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The architecture of the buildings adds to the charm, creating a picturesque backdrop for photos. It's a perfect place for a leisurely walk, photography, or simply to relax and enjoy nature. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens. Whether you're a plant enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful retreat, this place will not disappoint.

We arrived a little early in the season and so we're not able to see many of the flowers that were in bud but not yet bloom. There's a really nice brook with a small waterfall that takes you down into a bog area. There's also a hot house where you can watch botanists work with plants. We arrived early in the season and there was no entrance fee. I'm not sure if there's an entrance fee during season. This is a great stop if you happen to be riding by but not really a destination.

A lovely place to walk and be in nature. My kiddo really liked the fountains. Most of the botanical gardens are dedicated to native plants from the region, which is really neat. Lots of signs telling you about the types of vegetation and individual plants. They also have some extensive walking trails, but we didn’t do those today. Oh, and it’s free!

“A beautiful, scenic place in the center of Acadia University with charming Neo-Gothic design.”

Was there this past weekend from Ottawa to document a beautiful wedding on the ground of the University. We did most of the images in the gardens and it was just the perfect backdrop for them. Highly recommend checking it out!

It was a truly great experience for me, my wife, and our little one. It really turned out to be a fantastic learning experience as well, and it was a fun and engaging way to pass the time while we were out in town.

Pizza restaurant
Pronto Pizza is a beloved gem in Wolfville, particularly favored by Acadia University students. After enjoying a night at The Anvil Beverage Room, it's almost a rite of passage to indulge in their delicious slices. This pizzeria has been a go-to for many over the years, known for its excellent service and mouthwatering pizza that keeps patrons coming back for more. So why wait? Dive into the delightful experience that Pronto Pizza offers!
I stayed in wolfville for few days and i tried this local restaurant,i have to say that it was Absolutely incredible! The garlic fingers were perfectly crispy on the edges, soft in the center, and loaded with just the right amount of garlic, cheese, and herbs. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Paired with the dipping sauce, it was nothing short of perfection. These are hands down the best garlic fingers I've ever had – highly recommend!

Please do not waste your money here. They put absolutely nothing on there pizzas, I ordered 2 times as we just moved up here. First pizzas were horrible with no sauce, no cheese. There were spots all over the pizza that had no cheese or toppings..just doe....assuming maybe they just messed up I ordered again a few days later hoping it would be a real pizza this time, also asked for extra cheese and sauce but yet again, a guy in a white Ford truck shows up with a unpleasant attitude and my pizzas have absolutely nothing on them for over 80$. Long story short do not waste your money here if you live in wolfville or surrounding area. PS REDO'S pizza is pronto pizza, they are the same owner and staff. All horrible pizzas.

Travel thousands miles to Wolfville for college, first day arrived at Acadiau. Walked down dorm and grabbed a slice of pizza from Pronto, $6.5 for a dry and stone-hard slice, not even close to frozen ones at walmart, questioning my meaning of life.

Ordered delivery to the valley just outside of wolfville and paid for extra Donair sauce. Pizza and Donair fingers were average and they did not provide the extra Donair sauce. Good pizza for the area, bad pizza overall.
Brendan F — Google review
My experience was very bad. The owner was absolutely so rude to me and my friends. We bought a pizza and one of my friends had to use the bathroom, the owner made a huge deal of how rude and disrespectful she was for using it (its a public washroom) and said he was sick of people making a mess of his washroom and then leaving and not buying something. She only went in there to wash her hands and we bought food. before he gave us our food he made his employees check the washroom after she left and when the employee came back from the washroom he did not wash his hands he immediately went back to cooking with no gloves and dirty hands. The restaurant its self is gross in general and overpriced. I am never coming back here.
Annie K — Google review
Horrible. Ordered and paid for food they did not send. Called to try and sort it out and was hung up on twice, but only after admitting he didn't make my food. Awful service and paid for food I never received. Never again. All I wanted was my money back for what I didn't receive.
Graham S — Google review
Honestly what an absolute joke of a pizza shop, I wouldn’t even call it a pizza shop. Buddy just sits back there on his laptop from 2005 and looks like he can’t believe a customer walked in what a burden. Then charges you 100 bucks a slice for something that makes you call the food inspection agency everytime, dust
Toby G — Google review
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. First of all, the guy tried to scam me by telling me things were more expensive than what the menu says and I heard he does this all the time to students. Not to mention the place was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. The table I sat at literally had bugs crawling around the table. I paid 15 dollar for chicken tenders and fries, and the food tasted like the oil hasn’t been changed and no salt on fries! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Such a waste of money.

Chinese restaurant
During my first visit to Li's Wok & Grill, I was impressed by the freshness and perfect cooking of their food. The flavors were extremely enjoyable, particularly in their ginger beef dish which I believe is the best I've ever had. Having tried similar dishes across Canada, this one stood out as outstanding. The rice was cooked to perfection and the broccoli and garlic were also delicious.
Went there because this restaurant was highly recommended by many Chinese people on Chinese social media. It didn’t let us down, sweet n sour fish was great. The batter was crispy and the fish inside was very soft. Three delights could be more salty but still great. We definitely will be back and try other dishes.

The best Chinese restaurant in the valley . Great service and best food . Highly recommended ,you won’t be disappointed . If you could add the pictures of the dishes in the menu it would be a great help to people like us to decide what to order .
Antony V — Google review
My friend and I ordered the crispy sweet and sour pork (锅包肉) with high expectations especially after browsing through the Google reviews and posts on social media. What we got instead was undercooked, soggy pork with barely any coating, completely inauthentic. To our dismay, we noticed the Chinese customers at other tables were served a much better version of the same dish. Another table of non Chinese diners got the same substandard version like we did. This kind of double standard is unacceptable. While the taste of the dishes was passable, I would personally avoid this place at all cost.

So many options. Meat, Vegetarian, Vegan, they accomodate everyone. Pleaasent and amazing staff, in my top 3 of favourite food places. Even with takeout and a 30 minute drive, Delicious spot in Wolfville and can't wait to have a chance to go there again!

I don't know how many times I've walked by over the years. I finally ate here with a friend in the fall of 2022. We both loved the food. Recently, I dined there solo and once again was so happy with the experience. I had ginger-fried beef and vegetable-fried rice. Both dishes were excellent. I even asked the owner to add some extra ginger, and he was happy to oblige. This is definitely my favourite Chinese restaurant in the Annapolis Valley, and maybe in all of Nova Scotia. The prices are very good, too!

We enjoy taking out from Li’s- it’s reasonably priced and very quick (20min for takeout at 630 on a Friday). Everything is very good, however I do wish the General Tso chicken was crispier. I feel like I’m just eating soggy coated chicken that all sticks together. Also, they don’t sell egg rolls which is a bit disappointing - just spring rolls.
Meg M — Google review
This restaurant is the most authentic Chinese food in NS, the food is delicious and the service is good. I like it very much and recommend you to try

Friendly staff! Good chicken fried rice! But I feel like I paid $50 for mostly onions. Out of the two dishes I'd say half of each dish was uncooked onions. As you can see in the photo.

Food & Drink
Luckett Vineyards, located in Wolfville, has become an iconic destination in the Annapolis Valley with its breathtaking views over Blomidon and the Minas Basin. The vineyard features a distinctive British-style red phone box as a nod to the Luckett family's heritage. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings at the expansive bar, explore the grounds, and dine at the Crush Pad Bistro which offers delightful dishes alongside their exceptional wines.
Love this place! Will definitely come back. Love the ambiance and the red phone booth is a must-see! Tasting price is reasonable and they have a good white on hand! Their truffle fries and calamari are so good, too! Staff are very welcoming! Kudos to Victoria and Andrea for their warm hospitality and exceptional service. Not to mention, the owner is very responsive and patiently answered all my queries via email. All praises for this gem!

If you are near Grand Pré, this is a must-visit spot! I have eaten here several times and it seems even better since my last meal. The view from the dining area is breathtaking and reason enough to come here. We enjoyed warm and friendly service throughout our lunch. The shrimp and lobster roll was beautifully presented and delicious. The braised lamb tacos were great, too.

We visited this vineyard on a busy day, but with plenty of seating we were able to get a table quickly. The service was a little slow, though our waitress was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious - I had the soup of the day and the pesto chicken sandwich, and I’d highly recommend both. The vineyard has a beautiful view, making it a lovely spot to relax. Do bring a sweater, as it can get chilly with the wind and shade, though they do provide blankets if needed. I’m not a huge fan of their wine, but I’d happily return for the food and the great atmosphere!

I only stayed at Luckett Vineyards for a short time, but it was such a great experience! I’d totally recommend it to anyone passing by the area. I had some appetizer with wine and the beef carpaccio was especially delicious, and the tomato soup taste deep. The view from the restaurant is amazing, so even if you can only stop by for a bit, it’s worth it. Don’t miss the cute red phone booth. it’s a perfect photo spot! The wine was also great value for the price.

The red phone booth welcomes you as you approach this beautifully tended vineyard. Along with the vines, the grounds are lined with beautiful beds of flowers and plants. A treat for the eyes as you arrive. Inside the stunning building (it was misty and sprinkling the day we visited), we enjoyed a $12 wine tasting with generous pours and the most knowledgeable and passionate host. My husband and I recommend their Tidal Bay, Phone Box Red and Big Bill. Before we left we visited the red booth to phone it in.

We had such a wonderful time , We did the tasting and were so impressed by the variety and quality of the wines—each one was better than the last. Our server was incredibly helpful and made the whole experience even better. The views of the vineyards were breathtaking, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon. We'll definitely be back!"
Almera K — Google review
Pros: the red telephone booth in the vineyard; view of the vineyard: ; resto/dining hall has high ceiling; can host events (weddings); ample washroom stalls at the mezzanine(?) area; has a shop; our server was nice enough; food quality is okay Cons: there was at least 1 fly who kept on bothering us; only one washroom at the main floor (was looking for a diaper change table and did not find it at the upper stalls); slow service overall; food taste/overall flavor did not excite us (not delicious) and did not encourage us to return. Spent about $130 for food. Food does not have “wow” factor, never coming back here again. This is our both first and last visit here unless they amp up their menu taste/flavor. Lovely view overall, though.
Chloe V — Google review
Restaurant with a beautiful view of the vineyard and unique phone booth that works! Phone Box red and white wines were a great complement to the food. On a sunny day, the doors were open to let in a fresh breeze.
