Great shopping experience. Went to Markham, Foschini and Ackermans but there are many more stores for home, groceries and many more.

Huge mall with almost every type of store available from clothing stores to supermarkets and restaurants etc. Free Wifi available. 🅿 parking ♿ all available. Nice and quiet space/ not so crowded. Forex bureaus available and the staff are professional and welcoming too. Shops are closed pretty early though 😔

Shopping mall
Molapo Crossing Shopping Mall is a popular entertainment complex in Gaborone, offering a vibrant nightlife with various restaurants, bars, and clubs. It's a convenient spot for residents of nearby areas and features well-known markets like Sefalana. The mall also provides recreational facilities such as a mini park for kids, basketball court, gym, skate park, and 5-aside football field. Additionally, it offers essential shopping options including restaurants, clothing stores, cellphone repairs and more.
Some of the small compact and well themed malls in Gaborone. It’s not a huge mall but it is a very well situated and resourceful mall. It has restuarants, clothing, food , cellphone repairs and cellphones, sims etc. and much more. Every developing too
Nasir M — Google review
Though almost deserted and quiet. The introduction of new eateries has livened up the mall a bit. Popular for its piazza which hosts good shows and of course the mini football and tennis courts. A good place to unwind
Marang M — Google review
It's a nice mall with multiple facilities 1.Clinic ( Dr.Mudili) 2.Super market - Sefalana 3. Restaurant and Bar - La Parada and 2 more restaurants 4.Shopping centers
Usha P — Google review
Molapo Crossing is located between the busiest intersections in Gaborone, being the A1 road and Molepolole rd. This makes it a centrally located mall convenient for both tourist, urbanite or peri village to city commuter. It is 5 min away from The Grand Palm Hotel and 10min away from the CBD. Molapo Crossing is unique in that it is the only retail mall in Botswana with the following: A Piazza venue (Stanbic Bank Piazza) a premium multi-purpose event venue synonymous with quality productions and events. It has been graced by Trevor Noah, Anne Kansiime, Musiq Soul Child, Kwesta, HHP, Tasha Smith, GIMC Jazz, and whole lot. The mall is also the first retail mall to have a successful 5 a side ground. Another first is that Molapo Crossing has the biggest Fitness Gym in Botswana complete with a heated pool, 24 hours flexibility. The pool is a half olympic size making it adventurous and fun for aqua aerobics. The mall also house the first Beach Volleyball Court, already being used for the next beach volleyball olympics qualifiers. The retail is mostly organic fusion without any big retail franchise. This has helped to empower locals with unique boutique ideas and tackled employment. The mall is currently planning to upgrade the skate park to make the mall a truly "Retail-Tainment" and Active lifestyle mall of note.
Big S — Google review
Molapo has no energy… shops are a mess. Its like its deserted. Something needs to be done to shake it up.
Ghee E — Google review
The mall is turning into ghost mall most shops have closed down
Mogi K — Google review
The mall's good apart from not having any inroads to it especially coming from the North it does boast an decent amphitheater for events and a Gym for those who are looking to be in shape. Restaurants are quite nice but I usually go to the House of Scents, great ware of perfumes at the most affordable prices.
Boleng S — Google review
Good convenient shopping mall with amble parking not too crowded shopping experience. It got Sefalana supermarket Liquorama clothing mobile and all essential stores. Able parking space available. There is a performance stadium also in the mall. Jacks gym is also there. Almost all stores active till 8 and supermarket is open till 10PM

Monuments & Statues
In Gaborone, Botswana, the Three Dikgosi Monument stands as a tribute to three nationalist heroes: Bathoen, Khama II, and Sebele. These chiefs played a crucial role in preventing Cecil Rhodes from taking over Bechuanaland for his British South Africa Company. The monument is located in the Central Business District and features impressive bronze statues of the three chiefs.
Must visit place in Bots A tribute to the founders monument. Guide Mr Themothe is very informative, kind and will explains the full journey about origin of this beautiful land. Entry is Free of Charge. Duration of tour: 30-60mins max.
Aravind K — Google review
The place was quite calm and quiet I’m not sure if it’s because I visited at a low season but it was very quiet. We enjoyed our visit there, the tour guide explained every statue in detail and with such enthusiasm. It’s definitely worth a visit.
Neo O — Google review
One of the main tourist sites in Gaborone. It's worth visiting due to its historical information about the rise of the former British Empire Protectorate in the hands of three brave men – Bathoen I, Sebele I and Khama III. It's a neat place. Kudos to the security agent who proved to be more informed than many tour guides.
Emmanuel I — Google review
This monument is a tribute to the three Dikgosi, the tribal chieftains that played an important role in Botswana’s independence. Entrance is free and our guide, Nkgose, was knowledgeable and gave us a good briefing regarding the artifacts. The displays can be covered in around 20 minutes.
Ramdas P — Google review
We visited the Monument on our trip to Botswana, I must commend the guides we found there such as Timothy who went above and beyond to tell us all about the Monument and take us through the different regimes.
Tumelo D — Google review
Attend the Ministry of Youth and Gender, Closing ceremony for prayer against GBV in Botswana. It was a semi outdoor event in winter, therefore very cold as it became evening. The set-up was well decorated, and the three chiefs' monument was incorporated in the whole look, giving a elegant feel. There are clean restrooms in the area, not a lot of parking for big events though. Best for events in summer.

Amazing and rich History. Guide was amazing and shared lots lots of history, he was patient with all my questions.. a great place to stop by when you want the nourishing history of the three Dikgosi

Main Mall

Shopping mall
Main Mall in Gaborone is a bustling area offering a variety of experiences. From upscale eateries like Rodizio to the Beijing Red Lantern Chinese Restaurant, there's no shortage of dining options. The shopping scene is diverse, with wood products, historical items, and souvenirs available for purchase. Visitors can also explore markets and grocery stores where bargaining is common practice. Additionally, Main Mall provides access to essential services such as long-distance bus transportation and houses foreign embassies and local government offices.
It’s a cozy little mall with niece things like textiles etc. if you’re looking for tailors this is the place
Tlotlo O — Google review
Maim mall parking is terrible, this is probably because of the poor and ancient design/town planning of the roads and structures around the area. It's about time they built a proper mall there with ample underground parking
Mr. D — Google review
Well well main mall. My first Botswana experience. It's quite old with dilapidated buildings here and there. Quite a shame really. But it still has this thing, that thing your grandparents has. I might be old, slow and easily fatigued but young one I have lived and seen things. That's what main mall makes you feel.
Majoni M — Google review
This area has it all. Markets, grocery stores, fast food, long distance bus services, foreign embassies and local government offices. It's cooler over here than in the CBD. People are very friendly and it's safe here for foreigners during the day. At night it can be a little edgier and some drunk kids might shout at you if you get close enough to make eye contact. But all around a great place to spend the afternoon.
Greg A — Google review
Able to find the shop I was looking for (carpaton) .great experience
Mbaki B — Google review
One of the oldest malls in Gaborone, receiving a face-lift in some places. If you looking for local vendors and merchants this is where to come. Parking a bit of a nightmare.
Andre N — Google review
This place is accessible from Parliament and has a good visibility of the hawkers. You may trust this place for cheap local art work. It's one of the bussy malls on town. Besides supermarkets there are fiveu banks and multiple atm machines, government departments and numerous embassies.
Shep M — Google review
I don't know which mall is older, Main Mall, or African Mall. If you want an authentic Botswana experience, then this mall will give you that. It is very old school as far as the country goes, with a lot of the vendors selling their wares outside on the pavement. You can buy things like wire cars, and African art made out of wood, clay and all sorts of other materials. If you visit Botswana this mall is a must see. Don't expect to find any parking though, unless you're with a local who knows how the people who kind of deal in parking as a currency and direct you to one as soon as it opens up.

Great place for both kids and adults. Wide variety of tasty homemade ice-creams and my biggest highlight was the lemoande, best lemonade I've ever had.

Very quaint and pretty café as part of a plant nursery - recommended to us by a local we met at the airport! We had a great time soaking in the atmosphere.

A quiet, relaxing and nature filled experience. A little tea garden cafe located within a wonderous nursery. A walk before or after your meal is highly recommended - and their fabulous array of teas. I am often left disappointed by their service however. Check out @sipswithsethbw on TikTok and IG for more reviews

It’s a charming restaurant situated amidst a canopy of trees inside a nursery. The seating is shaded and in the open and we could relax there and enjoy the cooling breeze on a warm afternoon. There is also a kids play area surrounded by sand. We ordered a quiche & salad, a chicken- avocado salad and a T bone steak, all of which were flavorsome. The lemon yogurt dessert was delicious and we finished with a pot of green tea. The servers were efficient and we spent an enjoyable time here.

Love this place every time I am home. Staff at sanitas ... You rock ... great smiles and happy makes me feel home. Gelato ice cream is tops not to mention the super lemonade which is unparalleled in the world... Yes I am not joking... I flew all the way from North America home and this is my place to have perfect lemonade with monkeys who want to take your food. Thank u....

The privately owned nursery gardens at Sanitas are the closest we have in Botswana to a national botanical garden or (non-wildlife) park. It's always a lovely outing and a pleasure to see colour, greenery, order, creativity, pride, and the results of long term good management. Highly recommended.

I was assisted by Malebogo. She was very professional and made me aware of promotions. I bought from Wimpy Game City. I think this branch is due for a renovations. It’s quite old. Hope you can consider this soon.
Nomsa M — Google review
We had to wait for more than 15 for someone to take our order. We had to ask for our order to be taken. I asked for well done eggs but was given medium. I asked for white bread but they gave me brown. I ordered tea and it already had milk in it,what if I had an allergy? The utensils were dirty. We waited at least 20 minutes for food to come. We will never come to the game city branch.
Eugene L — Google review
Was this meal delicious? No the hell it wasn’t. I asked for bbq wings when they clearly had the sauce but they gave me the peri peri instead. The steak was edible. The best things here were the fries and onion rings and they’re basically air fried sides. The most seasoned thin here were the refresher wipes. Please go eat somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend

Child friendly (little tip, kids eat free on Sundays per paying adult's mains), great ambiance, different sections with different moods and settings. So there's definitely a place for everyone. Table50Two is a remarkable eatery in Gaberone, offering breathtaking vistas of the city. The attentive waiter provided exceptional service, accommodating every request with ease. To escape the heat, a delightful starter was enjoyed indoors, but as dusk fell, an outside table allowed for marveling at the stunning sunset. The calamari appetizer, rib eye main course, and poached pear dessert were all flawlessly prepared. Without a doubt, this establishment is a must-visit.
I love when they ask me if I have a reservation when there are plenty available tables. Anyways the view for sunset yes is fantastic, the bar service is fantastic, just make sure to ask for a table and be flexible to get off prior. I recommend. Didn't eat but food looks nice also!

Table50Two offers an absolutely phenomenal experience with the most breathtaking views of the Gaborone city skyline, especially during sunset. The ambiance is perfectly complemented by a great selection of drinks, delicious food, and wonderfully attentive service, making it a must-visit destination
Arnold P — Google review
This restaurant sits on the highest building in Gaborone I am told. The elevator ride up was simply thrilling. The view of the city from here is just breath taking if you are not bothered by heights. The whole setup of the place gave very posh vibes with exquisite designs and furnishing. There service was excellent and the staff were really friendly. They were attentive and went out of their way to make you comfortable. The food was quite good but I came for the view. It is a place I highly recommend to anyone who visits Gaborone . Lovely experience
Nathanael A — Google review
When planning and researching for my visit to Gaborone, Table50Two was always up there as a top restaurant. I have to say I was very disappointed with my experience. Firstly, when I arrived they didn't seem to have my booking. This despite the Room50Two hotel front of house manager/ receptionist phoning the restaurant the day before to book on my behalf. Anyway, they did have a table available for me. The next issue was that after ordering the ribeye steak the sever came back to say they had run out. As an alternative I ordered what was supposed to be the harissa spiced lamb chops but again I was told they were out of harissa spice so it was seasoned only with chilli..... When the lamb came it was lukewarm and chewy but it tasted OK. However, it came served with mixed vegetables which were mostly uncooked. I get al-dente but these were hard and cold - just horrible. I sent them back and what they returned with wasn't much better. I think it is a basic that a chef should be able to boil some broccoli, carrots and cauliflower! Service was fine but I had to ask for a napkin - again I think this is basics that the table should be set. Ambience was OK I guess. The only attraction with this restaurant is the view but on the evening I was there it was chilly out so didn't want to sit outside. Wouldn't return or recommend.
Natalie C — Google review
Our first evening in Gaberone and we had diner here. It was a wonderful experience: the steak was the best we’ve had in a long long time, they don’t make them like this anymore in Europe. The vegetables were perfect, not too much over cooked and not too raw, just perfect, as were the patato wedges. And then the view: on the 28th floor, with a view over the whole town, impressive. And last but not least, our waiter Justice: you can’t get a better waiter to serve your table. Thank you Justice, for the perfect evening.

Really good, local, mall. Good choice of souvenirs from small sellers, various regional brands goods as well as great coffee and cakes.
Ljubisa B — Google review
Located downtown, River Walk Mall provides a calm shopping experience away from the hustle and bustle. With its cozy atmosphere featuring brick walls and wooden accents, it welcomes visitors warmly. The mall hosts several popular shopping chains, including two major retail giants, offering a wide range of choices for shoppers. From trendy boutiques to well-known brands, there's something for everyone here. River Walk Mall offers a serene shopping experience. Its cozy atmosphere, with exposed brick walls and wooden accents, sets it apart from larger malls. While the selection of stores is modest, it caters to diverse tastes, featuring both trendy boutiques and familiar chain outlets. The mall's food court, though small, offers a variety of cuisine options, perfect for a quick bite between shopping. What truly distinguishes River Walk Mall is its riverside location. After perusing the shops, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the picturesque riverfront promenade, especially stunning at sunset. In essence, River Walk Mall offers a peaceful shopping experience. Its charming ambiance and scenic setting make it a delightful spot for both locals and tourists. For those seeking a relaxed shopping outing with a touch of natural beauty, River Walk Mall is the perfect destination.

Beautiful mall for family time - awesome grocery shopping experience, ice cream for the whole family and nice movie cinemas available. There is great hang-out restaurant for food lovers with perfect sit-in and takeaway option. Night crawlers this is a spot for you - very relaxed and chilled. Africa curio market is available within the mall with beautiful pieces.

Wide range of goods and produce, a quality store, with a great bakery, butchery and alcolicc beverages. Sells a fair range wines. As is obligatory in this ilk of supermarket, there's biltong, cooked meals.

Between Riverwalk and Game City, I don't know which I prefer, Riverwalk is interesting and I think has the better places to eat, although the best place for beef is down by Main Mall (sorry the name of the place eludes me right now). Riverwalk offers theaters for those of you who like going to the cinema, as well as other places to shop for all manner of things, from foodstuffs to clothing. Parking is also plentiful. I thought News Cafe was bad until I came here for a drink and dinner. Not only did our waiters change three times because each one was as horrible as the next. But to top it off. The shots we had were watered down. When we tried to complain to the manager he threatened us. Horrible customer service. Never going back
Mompati M — Google review
This is a very good hotel. Have stayed here twice. The rooms are good and well equipped. The service is good too. Their complimentary airport shuttle service is very useful. Breakfast is exceptionally good. Other food options are limited. Indian restaurants are located within radius of three kilometres from this hotel. Taxis are available from the hotel with verified drivers. Will be my preferred option for stay in Gaborone.

Public university
Located across from the National Stadium, the University of Botswana, also known as "Mma-Dikolo" (Mother of Universities), is the country's first institution of higher education. Established in 1982, it has played a significant role in national development and now boasts nine faculties and a graduate school. The campus features impressive architecture and spacious grounds with multiple entry points, dormitories, and ongoing construction at the library.
The University of Botswana is in my mind one of the best universities in Africa. This was the first university I attended and the courses are solid, from personal experience. Pictured is one of the gates to enter the university, there are multiple entry points, the dorms, and the library - around which construction was going on at the time the pictures were taken. The pictures were taken around 2008.

African Mall is a bustling marketplace offering a rich cultural experience and an array of traditional crafts, clothing, and souvenirs. Visitors can explore handmade items such as jewelry, baskets, and wood carvings that showcase the artistic talent of Botswana. The mall also features vibrant fabric shops with colorful varieties. While it may have lost some of its former fame due to the opening of new malls, it still attracts visitors for its Indian hair salons and restaurants like ASHOKA.

A historic gem with vibrant shops and cultural charm. Sadly, it’s been neglected and needs some TLC to restore its glory. The parking situation is frustrating, harassment from attendants is a hassle. Introducing paid parking could help manage this and fund upkeep. Still a must-visit for unique finds!

Kgale Hill Public Park

Park
The Kgale Hill Public Park, considered one of Botswana's most stunning urban natural parks, attracts both locals and tourists for leisurely strolls, picnics, hiking, and climbing. Situated as the highest point in Gaborone City, this park offers breathtaking vistas and panoramic views of the entire cityscape and the serene Gaborone Dam. It is highly recommended to visit the hilltop for its awe-inspiring sunrise views.
Must do while in Gaborone, hike up to the top is tricky and difficult enough, no signs or directions, we got lost a few times. 1 hour up and 1 hour down. Baboons roaming around in the morning, best time to do it as it is a little bit cooler. 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Joe M — Google review
Lots of baboons, hike trail not clearly marked. No trail maps to explain the distances and the altitudes and what to expect. So it's an element of surprise as one goes up. Rocky and steep, requirez proper hiking gear for safety purposes
Mhomhi M — Google review
Such a beautiful location. Prepare for a very difficult climb. Water is a must.
Joseph P — Google review
Always a great hike up Kgale Hill. Easy enough and a great workout. Hike with friends as its safer than hiking it alone. Always make way for the baboons if they are also on the same trail as you. Be cautious of your surroundings for snakes and scorpions. Enjoy the view when you reach the summit!
Irfan K — Google review
Nice and easy hike - beginner level, kid friendly. Beautiful views from city, dam and landscape with South Africa on the horizon. Careful with baboons near parking lot. Bring water, stay hydrated. Please don't litter, so sad to see trash everywhere. On the way down from the hill pay attention when to leave paved path otherwise you will end up at the quarry.

Highest peak of the Gaborone City. A view of the Country's 1st Biggest Dam is Clearer with all its angles visible. The City's view is also much amazing from this side which of course gives angles to the South & South western part of the City which entailes the Urban & industrial places. It's also amazing to be there on a drizzling/ rain or cloudy day... It can remind you of Cape Town's Table mountain

Coffee shop
Mugg & Bean is a popular restaurant located in Riverwalk Mall, Gaborone, Botswana. It offers a pleasant and chilled atmosphere with a great choice of food, especially for breakfast. The menu features delicious options like big Bens, wings, and the highly recommended chocolate cake. The freshly made coffee aroma fills the air and they offer bottomless drinks that are worth trying. The staff is known for being super friendly and the restaurant is a good spot to work alone or have small gatherings.
Their food is amazing Staff are super friendly The coffee is very good and bottomless as the claim The muffin is freshly baked every day, however I didn't like their cakes A good spot to work with your laptop alone or even have a small work gathering in Gabs

Always a big a fan of MUGG AND BEAN. It's pleasant, chilled and offers a great choice, mainly for breakfast. In Riverwalk Mall. I wasn't that happy with the bread for my burger though (it was very light and with a lot of bread crumbs)... The waiters are fantastic! My big Bens were awesome and so were the wings... Please add more chips!!!!

Mug and Bean is my go to place for Coffee and their giant muffins 🤣 i would recommend their chocolate Chip muffin anyday.
BONO M — Google review
Quality of this Mugg & Bean has most definitely deteriorated! Not worth it to be honest. I ordered an Eggs Benedict, they did not use Hickory Ham but rather the round sliced regular sandwich ham, that hardly covered the English muffin. Food seriously lacked flavour. I think it's the worst Benedict I've ever had. Also note the very long food wait times. My sisters one didn't even have hollonaise 😭 Next the service. Very slow and terrible and the waitresses do not want to be there. After flagging down some help after a while we ordered drinks. I was told the cocktail I wanted was out of stock she will be back with what's available. She disappeared and never came back. Service not friendly at all. My sister also ordered an eggs Benedict and the picture below is what came !!! When we asked about hollandaise waitress had no idea what we were talking about ! Really bad quality food and service
Mpumi Z — Google review
Service is appalling. A couple of days later improved service if it's a take away. Locals come here to chillax and don't mind waiting an hour to be served whereas I wanted a quick coffee ☕️ and didn't appreciate such a long wait. Maybe I'm impatient. Did anyone find the waiting excessive?? Let me know.

Ashoka Palace Restaurant is an incredible establishment, offering a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes. The menu may initially seem overwhelming, but don't fret! You'll be pleasantly surprised by their delicious khichdi, which is particularly enjoyable if you're a lentil enthusiast. Additionally, the butter nan was so scrumptious that you won't be able to resist devouring it all on your own.
I must say the food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

One of my friends recommended this nice place to me. Indian traditional Wall murals are amazingly beautiful though. When you are inside you get the "attending an north Indian marriage" vibes with all the sitting arrangement. The owner "Sardar ji" is a very nice and welcoming person. Staff is friendly. About food :- Paneer butter Tikka masala was not that spicy and looked like it was cooked in tomato sauce only tasted like Shahi paneer. We expected something more. Later we ordered Malai kofta, which was quite good. Butter naans were not crispy but okay to eat. Veg thali is a good option to go, with a portion of mixed vegetables, a little portion of rice and chapatis.

Very good food, very large portions. Got a Mutton Tali for about P110. Comes with rice, salad, lots of naan.

Amazing staff. Complete Indian cuisine and honestly I panicked when I opened the menu 😭 but I enjoyed the khichdi (huge fan of lentils, won’t sell my birthright though 😉), took away some butter nan (which I couldn’t wait to finish without sharing) and Gulab Jamun (sweet is an understatement trust me) 😂 okay I wanna go back again 😩... y’all make time for this one 🍴
Nonzwakazi M — Google review
The food has a very clean taste. There's not excessive oil, nor salt. The Chinese Fried Rice tasted better than Fried Rice from a Chinese restaurant because it wasn't as oily or salty as your typical Fried Rice from a Chinese restaurant. The meat wasn't over cooked. The Jeera rice was cooked just right. The Naan bread is very good. Yesterday, I tasted the Shahi Mutton Korma for the first time. The meat was tender and flavorful. Along with the sauce, it was delicious!

Nestled in the heart of Gaborone's bustling CBD, China Restaurant is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Chinese cuisine. Its prime location makes it an ideal choice for business travelers and families alike, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere perfect for lunch or dinner. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu that showcases traditional dishes, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.
Absolutely beautiful place. The internal decor is amazing a 10/10. The staff are so sweet, they will recommend what to get wif you are unsure both food and drinks. They have quite a large menu with such a wide variety of Chinese foods. As well as alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. I would definitely recommend it.
Eunice K — Google review
Staff was nice. This restaurant has so many different rooms for either private venue or karaoke or just rooms to eat discreetly ? I wish I would have been informed. Was too hot inside. I didn't like that anything is extra. In my life I never seen soy sauce being charged 12 pula. Food was a bit bland and the Singapore prawn noodle had like shredded shrimps in there. No whole real shrimps makes you wonder what it was really. I wanted to take the hotpot but the waitress was clueless to tell me if it was available, how much, but said it was another rmenu that was never brought to me. Cocktails were too expensive for the quality. I would only recommend if you crave huge portions of rice and crave Chinese food but go as a group. They seem cheap also to have many different fees for many things other than cork fee of course
Marc-Andre P — Google review
Here’s the final version with the added details: "I was excited to try this place, but the experience was disappointing. The shrimp lo mein had barely any shrimp and tasted like it was missing key seasonings—no soy sauce or flavor to be found. It felt like a bland, rushed stir-fry. The ‘soup dumplings’ were the biggest letdown. They were just steamed, doughy dumplings with hardly any meat inside, and definitely no soup. If you're expecting the flavorful, broth-filled dumplings typical of Chinese cuisine, you’ll be disappointed. The cucumber salad was equally underwhelming—just cucumbers tossed in chili oil with no seasoning, herbs, or complexity. It lacked any depth of flavor and tasted thrown together. Interestingly, the food I saw being served to diners eating in seemed to have more care and presentation. Maybe the issue is with the takeaway orders. If you’re thinking about trying this place, I’d recommend dining in, as the quality might be better in-house. It seems like, being the only Chinese restaurant in the area, they don’t feel the need to meet higher standards for consistency. Overall, not worth another visit for takeaway." Also you have to pay for chopsticks.
Monica N — Google review
Some of the food was rather bland. It could do with a lot of improvement. Waiters could pay attention to their customers a little more..they were on their phones half the time. General atmosphere was ok.

ews Cafe, your service is completely unacceptable. Our waiter was quite dismissive, he literally walked away mid-sentence of getting our order. We waited forever for drinks, and over an hour for food that came out burnt. We asked to speak to the manager, but they didn't bother to come see us and we gave up and left. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I do not recommend News Cafe at all. Terrible service, burnt food, and zero accountability. Do better.

News Cafe is such a sore point for me because I come here once a week to get my car washed and to enjoy one of my favorite breakfast items which is prepared fairly well, but the SERVICE is such a letdown. The well-organized layout provides a convenient one-stop destination for diverse shopping needs, including popular restaurants and a kids' play area.
It's an all-in-one mall. There are plenty of services available including a gym, swimming pool, playground, money exchange services and health centres. It's a pleasant place for shopping and eating.

One of the best shopping malls in Gaborone so far. Very big and offer high end shopping, dinning & private dating experience. Good for kids. All kinds of restaurants: Portuguese, Nandos, Chicken licken, Wimpy, KFC and many more are available. It's basically a one stop shopping complex, even banks have their branches there. A building material shops is also there. Parking is top notch, plenty. There's even hotels. Very secure and not very noisy, there's more peace.

Shopping mall
Located in Gaborone, Sebele Shopping Mall is one of the city's major shopping destinations. It offers a variety of shops featuring local, regional, and international brands, covering everything from fashion to electronics. The mall provides typical amenities such as grocery stores, clothing outlets, restaurants, and ample parking space. While it can get congested during peak hours, the presence of security personnel ensures that vehicles are well-protected.
Great experience, very clean and safe
Tlotlo O — Google review
Decent selection of stores. Parking could be improved though, very little.space to turn in some places
Mr. D — Google review
The restaurants here offer different vibes and provide a variety of cuisines such as the Indian restaurant, the Chinese restaurant and Grills. Additionally, the atmosphere always gives the weekend mood. Among other stores, Pick n Pay stands out with great deals and offers. I also love the fact that the mall is accessible by two main roads.
Emmanuel I — Google review
It is safe and quiet usually doesn't have many crowds like other malls
Vanessa K — Google review
Small, simple mall...nothing much
Oswald T — Google review
It's interesting how not so fancy this mall is but it has that thing. Its clean, relaxed, sufficient car space. A great place to spend a weekend if you are bored at home
Majoni M — Google review
It's a somewhat quiet open mall at the edge of the city. There are the typical amenities you'd expect in a typical shopping mall; grocery stores, clothing stores, one or two restaurants, ablution facilities and ample parking space. It can be a nightmare to exit when there's a lot of traffic on the roads. Choose your shopping times carefully!
Baiketli D — Google review
A one stop area surrounded by big and medium sized shops. Ample free parking space available which is a plus for the Sebele shopping Mall. I love doing my quick shopping requirements at this petite Mall

Botswana Craft is a unique oasis located in the heart of an industrial estate in Gaborone, Botswana's capital. This little gem houses a collection of charming cafes and art shops, offering a variety of African crafts and products. It's the perfect place to find traditional souvenirs such as jewelry, pottery, baskets, weavings, and wood carvings while supporting the rural handicraft industry. Additionally, visitors can enjoy browsing through Buddhist statues and scented candles.
A serene local themed market, restaurant, and conference centre. Good traditional food (some with a twist) served. Great outdoor sitting areas with even better service. Botswana Craft has hosted festivals for many music legends, and will give you that nostalgic feel if you have been to any of the festivals.
Wazha D — Google review
In my opinion the food here is good but not necessarily the best I have had in Gaborone. We had a very good conversation with our server in the beginning but at the end of our meal, he was too busy serving our customers. I had the bream and the portion size was too small, 2 fish might have been more appropriate, it was tasty but the side dish which was a vegetable, was quite cold.
Clement C — Google review
Great place to buy souvenirs and have lunch. Everything you want to bring home from Botswana (except for diamonds) can be found here - magnets, toys, jewelry, figurines, ceramics, ostrich eggs, Impala horns, statues, games, apparel, an endless variety of woven baskets of all shapes and sizes, woven plates, coasters, tablecloths in traditional Botswana colors and patterns, full grain leather hats that will last you a lifetime and cost as good as nothing. Spent over an hour looking at everything and buying some beautiful crafts. Well worth the visit. Lovely staff. Easily accessible by car.
E L — Google review
The restaurant is lovely serving local food with reasonable price. Staffs are friendly and attentive as well. The shop has a great deal of beautiful and unique handmade African crafts but they are a bit expensive.

Came here to try out their coffee and I stayed for the Tswana local food and the arts and craft. I ended up buying a bag at the craft market. Both the restaurant (food) and the shop on site were reasonably priced. For more coffee reviews check out @sipswithsethbw at TikTok and IG.

Restaurant
Bull & Bush is a popular pub in Gaborone, offering delivery and takeout options. It is known for its affordable and delicious food, making it one of the best spots for cheap eats in the area. The restaurant has received positive reviews for its great service and beautiful ambiance. Additionally, it is recognized as one of the top Indian restaurants in Gaborone, providing an excellent lunch experience with a variety of flavorful dishes to choose from.
Excellent lunchtime venue. Good food; we had the pulled caramelised brisket on tacos, a chicken and beef basket and chicken strips were all delicious and large portions. A pretty, cool, outdoor area under shady trees.

The restaurant is near from the business distric but the roads are very dark and also the surroundings. The food is good, well served and tasty. The wine selection is ok and now the client service significantly improve. It is a place full of foreigners. A very good option to try.

Meat is ok. The fries could be more crispy. Best for us was the millet salad. The rest is fusion and too much sauce on the meat and salads.

Taryn L — Google review
Bull & Bush has been my favorite spot for the past 14 years, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. The place carries a unique rustic charm that captures the beauty of Africa in its calm and relaxed setting. It’s the kind of environment that immediately puts you at ease, making it not just a restaurant but an experience. The highlight for me has always been the tomahawk steak. Over the years, the portion size has reduced somewhat, but the flavor and quality have never been compromised. It is consistently cooked to perfection, and that alone keeps me coming back. Beyond the tomahawk, every dish I’ve tried here has been excellent — the kitchen clearly maintains a high standard across the board. I also enjoy the added touches of entertainment. On one of my recent Thursday visits, I had the chance to play some pool games. It was quiet, laid-back, and filled with a good crowd — a reminder that Bull & Bush is more than just a place to eat, it’s a place to unwind. The only drawback is the road leading to the restaurant. You really need a decent elevated car to get there comfortably. If you’re driving a luxury sedan, especially on a rainy day, you might regret the trip. But once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. Overall, Bull & Bush remains a gem in Gaborone. Great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent management. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Seafood restaurant
Ocean Basket Airport Junction is a contemporary chain eatery with a cheerful atmosphere, offering a variety of seafood dishes and sharing platters. It is the only known seafood establishment in Gaborone. Pre-ordering ensured prompt service upon arrival, and the excellent service received guarantees a return visit. However, it may be time to consider refurbishing the interior by introducing some sky blue couches.
Great tasting sea food. We bought a platter for two. Their mussels, calamari and fish were delicious. The waiters are also amazing. They are patient, polite and professional.

After a long time of not visiting OB, I wished to had chosen a different sushi joint. I believe the waitress assisting us was the problem, placing wrong orders, not ordering our other dish(mind you we sat waiting for dreams, thinking our food will come), our waitress was struggling to hold our tray of drinks, our glasses were very sticky from spilling.
Febby S — Google review
Everything else was fine, especially the shrimp. But I have never had a more revolting oyster. Do not serve people frozen oysters raw—at the very least, include a disclaimer. I asked and was told they were fresh, live oysters, only to taste the driest, smelliest oyster I have ever had. I almost threw up.

Best place for seafood in Gaborone Ocean Basket at Airport Junction Mall offers a tasty seafood experience right here in Gaborone. Situated in the mall's lively atmosphere, this restaurant has a cozy vibe and a menu full of seafood delights. When you step inside, you'll feel the friendly atmosphere, and the staff are always ready with a smile. The place has a maritime theme, with sea-inspired decorations and calming colors. The menu has lots of options, from sushi to fish and chips. The sushi is especially good, with rolls that are bursting with flavors and textures. One dish that stands out is the grilled prawns—they're cooked just right and come with garlic butter that adds a nice touch. And if you want to try a bit of everything, the seafood platter is a good choice, with calamari and fish fillets that hit the spot. The service is good too—staff are quick and helpful, ready to answer any questions you might have about the menu. Overall, Ocean Basket at Airport Junction Mall is a great spot for seafood lovers and anyone looking for a tasty meal. Whether you're craving sushi or some classic fish dishes, you'll find something to enjoy here.

June 2021 Update :::-> Ocean Basket Always a good place for sea food. We enjoyed two of their platters. Sushi platter and a medley of sea food. Perfectly cooked shrimp, squid and calamari. I’m in Botswana since two weeks and it’s the best food I’ve had here so far. (Please tell the chef). I took the butter chicken with garlic naan on the side. The staff is super friendly, the boss too. Would recommend for sure.

I hired a Yango just go and eat there. But Ultimately was disappointed beithbthe kind of food I was served. I tried their lahori Channa and Nan., there was nothing special. It it taste Just average, nothing to ga ga about it. Service was good and stafvwas courteous However , food disappointed me and I will not go back here
Shreyas M — Google review
Food is not authentic plus the meat/protein used is not fresh but seems frozen. Standard gravy mix added to whatever you order and more or less all tomato based dishes tasted same. Kebabs are okay but again the freshness is missing. A simply commercially ran for margins than passion or making statement or representing a cuisine. Service: I give two star for the local employees but for the manager or owner I give no star. The guy is full of himself. Took the order and gave us the time but took much more time to hand over the takeaway. Above that he was not humble as expected.. I wish him luck with this kind of attitude. Atmosphere is just fine and basic. Restrooms and wash basins are very poor. Have a lot scope to work on hygiene.
Kamal K — Google review
The food was okay. Nothing special. I was expecting more Indian flavour in the chicken curry but it tasted like any other soup dish you'd get from a street vendor for way less than half the price. The server was nice. Had to tip her
