Cascada Velo de Novia is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall located in a lush, forested park in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Despite the area not being known as the safest in Mexico, Valle de Bravo is actually quite safe for visitors. The town's vibrant colors and cobblestone streets add to its unique charm. Visitors can take a moderately easy hike or opt for a four-wheeler tour followed by a 15-minute walk to reach the beautiful waterfall.
I visited this waterfall as part of the “Tranvia Chu Chu” tour. The tour shows you this place and the “Piedra de Molino” waterfall. I loved it! I had enough time to take-in the beauty of the scenery and to take pictures as well! The 2 waterfalls are a must when staying in Valle de Bravo!
Mika — Google review
Beautiful waterfall with essentially no restriction on how close you can get other than your own common sense. Lots of vendors along the way, beginning with restaurants by the parking area, simple cabana type bars along part of the trail, then souvenir and clothing stalls. Two little girls came up to us and asked if we wanted to hear the story of the waterfall. We couldn't help but say yes. You'll have to go yourself and hear the legend, and don't forget to give those kids a few pesos for the story. It looked like you could also ride horses down the trail. Be prepared for rain and go carefully on the trail when wet.
Alex — Google review
It’s a good view! Enjoyed it with my friends
Amy C — Google review
Beautiful place to vist. The last part of the trail is rugged and a little bit challenging to climb up and down. The Waterfall arr magnificent and if one wants you can get right under the falling water. At the moment it's free
Hector J — Google review
If you are a hiker Thais place offers some interesting trails once you reach the lake, cross over the creek and you will discover a beautiful path with great views over the lake
Guenther ( — Google review
Excellent trekking forest and natural reserve/park, the sights are gorgeous if you're the nature loving kind, you can trail down to the bottom of the falls and come as close as you like. There are decks from where you can see the falls if you don't feel like going down the rustic trail to the foot of the falls and picnic in the designated area. It's a good adventure and a good trip to take, just wear comfy shoes and clothing, fit for the walk to and from this magnificent place, definitely recommend it. Although it has areas that are a bit archaic, it's a beautiful place to visit, nothing fancy but surely beautiful falls.
Hector V — Google review
Great hike. We took a four wheeler tour to this town and then hiked 15 minutes down to see the beautiful waterfall. The hike itself was moderately easy, there’s a bridge and then dirt road. Wearing walking shoes is recommended. When you get to the bottom there are plenty of rocks to climb to take a moment to yourself and breathe in the water as well as listen to it. A great way to spend your afternoon!
Nikki A — Google review
It's a nice place to go and enjoy a cool falls, isn't that big lbut it worth go all the way down by Walk to get some cool pictures. When you go back up to the parking lot, be ready for the irregular stairs and some bumps on the walk way. You can grab some souvenirs at the stores on the top, remember to bring good shoes for the long way walking.

Nestled in the heart of Valle de Bravo, the Santuario De Santa Maria Ahuacatlán is a stunning 17th-century church that stands as a testament to history and faith. This magnificent structure features impressive wood-beamed ceilings and houses the revered Black Christ, a crucifixion statue that remarkably survived a devastating colonial fire. Encased in glass and adorned with vibrant plastic flowers, this iconic figure draws numerous pilgrims each year.
I’m not Catholic so I do not understand the purpose of this but it seem like a beautiful representation of the lives and longings of ordinary people.

Nestled on the picturesque shores of Lake Avandaro, Restaurante Los Pericos is a must-visit gem in Valle de Bravo. Since its inception in 1970, this floating restaurant has captivated diners with its stunning water views and a delightful array of classic meat and fish dishes, alongside an impressive selection of Mexican and Latin cuisine. The relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for families or anyone looking to unwind while enjoying a meal outdoors.
Loved it. Amazing service and great breakfast. What a cool place. Amazing eggs!

Came on a Fri lunch and was greeted amicably by staff. Bit of a walk from where parking is but accessible. Sat in the outdoor float area. Ambiance is nice, establishment fairly clean. Lots of birds flying around and eating leftovers. Food was good and proportional for price. Great selection of a variety of predominately seafood. Tostadas de Marin were good as was the queso fundido. The rest was decent but nothing to be considered great.
Nate U — Google review
Great view but quite expensive and small plates. Service could be better.
Lucio M — Google review
Good service, lovely view - good was fine. I enjoyed the trout. Empenadas - meh. Husband got paella, which they only do on the weekends. Paella dish is definitely enough for 2-3 or more people!

The service and food are excellent, I highly recommend eating here. I went on a Thursday for lunch and it was peaceful and the weather was good. I ate upstairs on the patio. You can feel some motion from the lake but it was not disturbing. The restaurant is very clean even though the decor is a little dated.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Valle de Bravo, Mercado Municipal Valle is a feast for the senses and a must-visit for any traveler. This lively market has undergone renovations since its rustic past, transforming into a clean and well-lit space that still retains its local charm. Each visit reveals an array of fresh produce, meats from local butchers, and an enticing selection of fondas serving up authentic Mexican cuisine.
Stopped for dinner and was surprised the market was still serving hot food. Ordered plates which were tasty and very affordable. Service was great.

Mmmm love this place amazing food. Eat a little at every place you can. So you can taste a little bite of everything.
Carlos M — Google review
One of the best Municipal Markets. They have everything that is needed. Fresh meat, fresh produce, clothing, home made food and others.
Enrique Z — Google review
Most of the produce is easy to find, and most meats (butchers) but shallow for supermarket goods. Also, there are plenty of fondas where you can eat all sorts of Mexican food. As well you'll find accs for cells, clothes and shoes ( Mexican made) and prices tend to be a bargain. On Sundays they have the tianguis do you'll find many more items such as plant pots, wood works and more. For a tourist this is a place to be seen.

CALLEJON DEL HAMBRE

Taco restaurant
For the ultimate taco experience, visit El Callejon del Hambre or Hunger Alley. This highly recommended food spot attracts locals who frequent it after work. Arriving around 8:00 p.m. ensures a quieter atmosphere with fewer people. Families often gather here to enjoy the delicious tacos and share moments together. Don't miss out on ordering a refreshing Coca Cola and finishing off with a tasty cheese pie for dessert.
"Tacos el Callejón del hambre" is a place for food that is highly recommended by the people of the town, I go to eat there every weekend after finishing my work day, I usually arrive there at approximately 8:00 p.m. There are usually less people at that time, I usually go with my parents and sisters, so we have time to share even for a moment. Whenever I go there to drink I order a Coca Cola and for dessert a cheese pie. What I like about the place is that it is quiet and there is not a lot of flow of people that bother me, something that I did not like was that there was no bathroom, I highly recommend the tacos, they are very tasty and the sauces are spectacular.
BENJA Y — Google review

(Translated by Google) Everything was very nice. It's a fun experience to eat and feel like you're floating (you might get a little dizzy, but nothing serious), and the waiters are very attentive. BUT THE FOOD leaves a lot to be desired. My spaghetti Bolognese was very stiff, even raw, and very plain. Place is very good, don’t know what the other reviewers are complaining about. The ribeye with potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus was well made and had a great taste. The tuna and shrimp salad apart from looking like a work of art was fresh and tasty. The arrachera was soft and juicy had a great texture and taste. Valle de Bravo in Mexico State may not have the safest reputation, but it's actually a secure and trouble-free destination. The Artisan Market is a must-visit for enthusiasts of local arts and crafts. Here, you can find an array of souvenirs crafted by skilled artisans from the area, such as Otumba pottery, Mazahua fabrics, and Ocoxal baskets made from indigenous materials.

Museum
The Museo Arqueológico de Valle de Bravo is a small museum located on the coast, close to the CFE facilities. Housed in an old house that blends well with the environment, it features a varied collection from different parts of Mexico. However, visitors suggest that having local archaeological pieces would make it more attractive for tourists. The museum is free to visit on Sundays and offers interesting exhibits despite its small size. Some feel that more artworks and exhibitions could enhance the experience.
Incredible artifacts. Worth the visit!
Mary H — Google review
It has been several years since I visited the place so chances are things have changed. I can't remember the entrance fee was but it was affordable, like somewhere around 30 pesos at the time which is quite cheap considering Valle de Bravo is so expensive. The expos are really colorful and nicely laid out. The bad news is that well, the museum is really tiny. If you didn't read the text, you could just spend 5 minutes in there. I remember the place is poorly ventilated and cramped so it is little surprise why it remains closed due to the pandemic. Chances are the place will remain close until next year at the soonest.

Aterrizaje Parapente, or the paragliding landing zone, is a fantastic spot to conclude your soaring adventure after a flight from Penon or Torre. It's advisable to visit beforehand to gauge the lake's water level and familiarize yourself with the size of the landing area. This charming location features a restaurant and restroom facilities for your convenience. However, be cautious about walking barefoot in the grass during evenings due to pesky chiggers that can leave you itching for days!
Small but great LZ. Mari makes the best molé tortas EVER!
Matt H — Google review
This is the landing zone for your flight back to Valle. Little concession stand is great, never had any issues with food there (it is my 6th year coming here). You might want to pack a small bottle of bug spray (Deep woods type), for there are some biting insects in the grass -- not as bad this year.
Alex W — Google review
Excellent landing zone after a Penon or Torre flight. Best to check it out before your first flight, just to check the lake level and how small or large the LZ is. There is a restaurant on site and a bathroom. Avoid walking barefoot in the grass in the evenings...the chiggers in the grass will bite and you'll be itching for days!
Nicole M — Google review
What an LZ! A little small but that just means the excitement of screaming "agua!" as pilots go long and land in the lake! Tables, shade umbrellas, beer, tortas, and kids happy to fold your glider for a few pesos.

Mirador La Peña is a popular hiking spot in Valle de Bravo, offering stunning panoramic views of Lake Avandaro and the surrounding valley. The relatively easy trail includes some steep parts and boulders to climb over, so wearing good hiking shoes is recommended. Once at the top, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the lake and town below. The white-painted exterior walls of Valle de Bravo add to its unique aesthetic charm.
This is a must place to visit when coming to Valle de Bravo. You get very good cardio exercise plus the view of the town and the lake are amazing. The entry cost per person is $25 mxn.
Enrique Z — Google review
A crazy-steep drive up cobbled roads and a bit of a clamber up a path gets you to the top of the Rock (La Peña), and the view is really worthwhile.
Geoff R — Google review
Very short hike to get to the top. Also very slippery only because it was raining so the rocks were kinda green with some type of moss and wet. Worth the hike there, when you get to the top the view is so beautiful 😍. It wasn't so busy there, but I went in the morning, only a couple of people . We got rain as we were getting down the mountain.
Santita — Google review
Decent hike from town. About 45 mins from central town to the peak. I did it in sandals. Apparently much of the contemporary surrounding developments are built on undiscovered burial and ceremonial grounds.
Anuar R — Google review
Easy hike. Takes about 10 minutes to climb from the parking lot to the top. Parking lot is small, recommend arriving in the morning if you are driving. Bring a hat, it's hot in May.
Jose ( — Google review
The climb to the top was worth the effort. Do wear proper shoes to not slip on the rocks. It has stairs carved out of the rocks to reach the top.
Marxel N — Google review
Nice views and some people were rappelling . 5 pesos per person to enter, 5 pesos to use the bathroom, it's possible to park on the street sometimes but they offer parking for 30 pesos. They sell snacks and slushies, an 8oz cup of slushie was 15 pesos and was very good!
Beckett P — Google review
Very nice, 360 views of Valle de Bravo from La Peña. Easy Hike for most people, although no accesible to those with mobility limitations. The hike takes about 10-15 min. If driving there, make sure to put Mirador de la Peña in google maps, otherwise you will wind up in a residencial area.

Lake Avandaro and the surrounding Valle de Bravo are lovely, welcoming and a unique destination for locals and for travelers alike, with hiking through nature, biking, parasailing, golf, moto-cross racing and numerous water-sports available. This last, my second trip to Valle de Bravo, was auspiciously timed to coincide with the Independence day festivities...A good time was had by all! ...and I was only called "gringo" once, from the window of a moving car... ;🤠)

I would stay there again! This place is magical, service was good, the room was clean, furniture a bit old, but yeah ofc it’s “old castle”. Everything was very clean and comfortable! The view it’s amazing! WiFi it’s a bit bad! I highly recommend this place for couples or families! Walking distance of everything… Can’t wait to go back 🫶🏻

Would absolutely recomend! The hotel looks amazing, it gives you the vibe of staying in an ancient castle. The rooms are fit the vibe. The swimingpool is also nice and looks enchanting. The restaurant has very nice food. Staff is very kind. Location is near the city filled with cool shops and very nice restaurants. It also lends itself well to go on adventures on the water or on land.

Decent club with a rustic interior, a pool, hot tub, and good access to the water but only in certain months (Nov through April. Lake water is diverted to CDMX and level much lower from June to Oct). Place could use a little sprucing up. You can also rent standup paddle boards from here through a third party vendor ($375MXN PP).

Great location, and the furniture is very really nautical. However the pool and the restaurant are not open during week days and the beds are really old and not exactly comfortable

The average per person dish and drink 230-270 per person. I really had an excellent taste in my mouth having eaten there…. I think it's very good. Better than rafts and parakeets. If you want Mexican food! I highly recommend it if you want to eat delicious food, not if you want a view of the lake. (Original) El sabor fue espectacular ! (Translated by Google) I don't recommend it, at least for breakfast. The molletes were the most average, the egg enfrijoladas were bland, the hot chocolate was bland, the coffee tasted like instant coffee, and they served us hard shell bread in the center. When the owner saw that we didn't like it, she didn't approach us to ask, and she was just rude/cutting. We paid a total of $500-600, and it really wasn't worth a single dollar. (Original) Al menos para desayuno no lo recomiendo. Restaurante El Mesón Valle de Bravo is a dining spot located within the Meson de Leyendas hotel and in one of Valle de Bravo's most beautiful gardens. It's dedicated to Vallesano style and Mexican gastronomic tradition, offering a menu that fuses Mediterranean flavors with local products. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of appetizers, soups, meat cuts, pizzas, and pastas. Additionally, it features an incredible array of Mexican and international wines for the perfect pairing experience.
Such a beautiful setting for a delicious meal. I love the chilaquiles and the fresh squeezed juices. It’s such an oasis of calm- my husband had to drag me out so that we could go exploring the town. It was so nice to come back to the quiet courtyard after a day of touristing. What a charming, lovely place!

Breakfasts were good, no issues and the staff and owner were all very pleasant. We would have never known this if we hadn't prepaid for the breakfasts before booking. The dinner the first night was such a disaster, we would have never returned. literally the worst dining experience I have ever had. Ordered Bev's, took 20 minutes. Mixed drinks seemed to have no alcohol. Ordered app, it never came. Tried ordering mains three times from the menu, each time ordered was taken and staff returned to say the items were not available. No shrimp, no beef, no lasagna. Finally told all they had from the menu was fettuccini, salad and pizza. Settled on noodles. That took 45 minutes and came cold, soupy and bland. Tried to order flan for dessert. Server once again returned to say that was not available. Total time to be disappointed was one hour 30 minutes. Customers should be informed ahead of time if 75% of menu is unavailable.

Wonderful service, the best I have experienced so far in Valle Del Bravo. Delicious food as well, though it is a bit expensive.
Jakub B — Google review
Incredible view, however food was below average. The place has a great potential. Perched on the hill, right above the lake, the terrace has an unbeatable view notably at sunset. The sun goes down right in front between the mountains. Hence I’d recommend going only for sunset drinks if you want to walk away with a good experience. Despite the mixed reviews about food, we gave it a chance but were utterly disappointed. The outside sign “pan artesanal” suggested bread and pizza would be a safe option. We were offered some bread with butter and a salsa to start with - the bread was definitely heated. We tried the ceviche and it wasn’t any fresh either - it came in a ketchup and clamato sauce and tasted really bad (we reported it and weren’t charged for the first bite we had). We also tried the roasted beetroot salad (betabel rostizado) - it wasn’t tasty, the cream and cheese on top were bad quality and there weren’t almond flakes as described. Finally arrived what we thought was a safe option - the Veleros pizza. It was terrible and you’d wonder what sort of bad quality cheese is used in there. None of the options we tried deserved the upscale price range. Service was alright, a bit slow.

Classic Valle de Bravo place. All food is fantastic. People including the owners are more than happy to attend you and make sure you have a great time. Whether you sit outside or inside, this is a fantastic place to go see the sunset and have a nice time. Poke Bowl and pastas are incredible, everything super fresh, clean and not too pricy.
David ( — Google review
The staff is excruciatingly slow, and rude when they finally talk to you. It was the worst service I experienced in a month-long stay in Valle, so it is not a case of not understanding the local service expectations. Passable bolognese and burned eggplant would earn it one star but I'm throwing up a second star because I saw some really amazing steaks going to other customers.

We were here with a tour. Most of us weren’t acclimated to the higher elevations so we all used horses to reach a higher point and walked the rest of the way. We did see monarchs in clusters from a distance and a few flying around. The time in the forest was well worth it. I hope these butterflies survive because the impact is huge.
James W — Google review
We were amazed by the sight monarch butterflies fluttering gracefully through the trees, creating a magical, almost surreal atmosphere. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable,It’s a place where natural beauty and tranquility come together, making it an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves wildlife and the outdoors. Make sure to go on a sunny day.
Babu R — Google review
Yes, it can be very busy at the weekend but the place is very well organised, so after climbing up the mountain, everyone waits silently for their turn to see the butterflies. Sadly there aren't as many, but I first went 30 years ago and there were so many, cars had to slow down on the nearby motorway. Now you need to walk up almost 2 hours to reach the highest part of the mountain where they are. But that's not the fault of this place... If you're not fit (or for children under 10) I recommend hiring a horse to go up and down. There's still a 20 min walk at the top where the horses can't go, but it's easier than the 1.5 hour beforehand.
Maru R — Google review
Weekends during the peak season are VERY, VERY, VERY crowded. There will be tour buses. You will likely wait in line to enter the sanctuary and to see the butterflies, but you will see butterflies! The local guides told me that during the week it is very quiet. The hike is step, and the altitude will make it more challenging for some, but slow and steady wins the race. I saw people of all ages and fitness levels make it to the top (eventually). Bathroom at the start of the trail for a small fee. Horses looked very calm, and riding is a good option for kids and those who are not strong walkers/hikers. No horse riding experience necessary. On warm and sunny days, the butterflies fly around. On colder days, they stay in groups in the trees to keep warm. Take binoculars, water, and wear layers. Cary out your trash, stay on the trail, and enjoy the amazing migration. Photos taken with a telephoto lens.
Tracy K — Google review
It’s definitely worth the journey for this breath taking experience. I highly recommend the horses (hiking still necessary but decreases the time of the entire journey significantly). Trails are slippery in some sections but hiking shoes aren’t necessary. It can be quite busy but many opportunities exist for photos and videos. Cell reception essentially non-existent but live in the moment (and remain silent). Bathrooms have small fee.
Billy S — Google review
Seeing the butterflies was fantastic. However, it requires an hour long hike almost straight uphill on an incredibly dusty trail. You need to decide whether seeing the butterflies is worth the climb under those conditions. It was also very crowded on the trail.
Ken H — Google review
Great spot to see the Monarch butterflies, though be prepared for a semi-difficult hike, especially if you’re not accustomed to the altitude. Alternatively you can take the horse ride up. Unfortunately the weather was too cold when I visited so the butterflies did not fly around or leave the clumps, but still cool to see! Food is also available at the small restaurant at the base.
Ant W — Google review
I visited Monarca mariposa 🦋 on 27 Feb and I got the tour group from Facebook Vaijas group. First of all if you have less stamina then I would say hire a horse as it’s steep slope over mountain. And when you reach at top you will see beautiful butterflies as per video below. Journey is vey beautiful as well. Please note there is no water, washroom, eatable options available in mountain journey so take everything from ground only. Horse cost 300 pesos one side. You can bargain may be. It is dusty so I would say take a mask or cloth to cover mouth. Overall it’s worth experience so be prepared and visit it

La Torre

4.8
(247)
La Torre, located southeast of Valle de Bravo, is a popular viewpoint and paragliding launch site. The 3km trail through a picturesque pine forest offers hikers a rewarding experience, taking around 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Even for those not paragliding, La Torre provides breathtaking views of Valle de Bravo. It's important to note that the route on Google Maps may be inaccurate, so it's recommended to take Calle La Joya instead.
Beautiful hill with great view!
Lars S — Google review
La Torre is the paragliding launch above Valle de Bravo. It is a must see even if you do not decide to paraglide. If you plan on hiking, Google Maps is incorrect. The road that Google tells you to take does not exist. To hike there, which is a tough one, especially if you are not acclimated to the altitude, you will want to take Calle La Joya, which is a bit further up the highway than the non existent road that Google Maps states. Go the end of La Joya and you will be on the uphill side of Condominio Los Papalotes, Valle de Bravo. To the left is a private drive and to the right is the trail coming up, (I do not know where the trail head starts). Continue basically straight and the dirt road, which accesses a few properties, will turn into a well established trail that will take you to the top.
Ian R — Google review

(Translated by Google) The best view of Valle de Bravo. Those who are going to paraglide launch from this place. Watching them launch is very interesting. In addition to the visit, it is a quiet and pleasant place to rest for a while after the walk. When I visited they didn't sell anything upstairs, not even water. The bathrooms are simple but do the job. The walk through Monte Alto is what really makes this experience excellent. You can also go up by car, for people who have some mobility or walking restriction. Nestled in the serene landscape near Valle de Bravo, the Great Stupa Valle de Bravo is a remarkable Buddhist temple that offers a unique escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The journey to this tranquil haven involves navigating a rugged dirt road for about half an hour, so it's best to leave your sedan behind. Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed with open arms; while entry is based on donations, there’s typically a suggested fee of around 50 pesos.
An amazing place to meditate and walk. You can bring your dog as long on a leash. The fee is 70 pesos for a visit and you can also stay in one of their cabins. Check their website for more information on princes. Every time I have friends visit they love going for a visit
Jose P — Google review
An impressive temple in the middle of practically nowhere. Note - a sedan will not survive the road to the place. It takes about half an hour of dirt road to get there from the main road. A sign at the entrance states that the entry is based on donations but while briefing us on the regulation they asked for 50 pesos from each of us. Entrance to the area with dogs is allowed as long as they are on a leash. Before entering the temple one needs to remove his or her shoes so make sure to have socks on.

Nice stupa but the vibe is a little off, and the road to get there is terrible
Evan T — Google review
There is zero information about any fees, however they wouldn’t let us pass without giving a “voluntary contribution” (contribución voluntaria) of 50 pesos per person. We hiked an hour and a half from the main road and saw at least 6 signs for the stupa, but none mentioned a fee. We didn’t bring wallets and literally had 20 pesos. After consulting with two different people, they wouldn’t let us pass without paying the “voluntary contribution”, so we walked the 8km back down the road without being able to enter. The opposite of hospitality left a pretty bad impresión of this “spiritual place”
Colin G — Google review
Came for a 12 PM meditation. We had to pay 50 pesos per person. Once there, it was moved to 12:30. At 1 PM, still no monks and we were told they were on their way. Only one monk then came at 1:45 PM and no apologies. How disrespectful is this? We're talking about two men who have no obligations or constraints in their lives, all taken care of with other people's money, and refuse to show up on time or apologize for their disrespectful behavior. How ironic is this for a place like that? Will never come back and I let all of my friend know in Valle.

With its delightful decor and dishes crafted from family recipes, this eatery prides itself on using only local and seasonal ingredients. Guests rave about the vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and mouthwatering food—especially the guacamole, which many claim to be the best in Mexico!
We love la victoria . We bring paragliding tours to Valle every year, and I take all our groups to la victoria at least once a week , and everyone always love it. The food is amazing.. the margaritas are soooo good.. the guacamole is the best in mexico. And I enjoy the fajitas . Great atmosphere. And the owner is great. Try it out. You'll love it. This is a must visit in Valle for authentic, delicious food from recipes from the owner's grandmothers. When you chat with him, you can tell how much he cares about family and passing down the traditional recipes. We had the mole and soup, both were lovely. Its a wonderful atmosphere, and great service. We also love his brother's restaurant Faena.

Absolutely loved our dinner here! We went here because we read reviews that there were vegan options but we were skeptical it would be fully satisfying - we were totally blown away! Everything we had was so delicious and there were way more vegan options than we saw online. We’re going back tomorrow for more because it was so great. If you need a delicious, filling vegan meal then this is your spot.

The food here is so good. We picked it because it has vegetarian and vegan options (wife is vegetarian). Her and my food were both so good. We had Guacamole, Rabbit (me), quinoa croquettes (wife), and for dessert cream filled chimichangas with a REALLY good fruit pure. Wife also had rum horchata which was delish and I had artesanal beer. Highly recommended. 🤤😋

Garden de Walo is a charming little cabin surrounded by nature, offering delicious outdoor dining with fresh, high-quality produce from its own garden. It also provides gardening courses and sells plants, pots, and organic products for plant care. This cozy spot is perfect for enjoying breakfast, coffee, and pastries while browsing through a variety of plants at the nursery. Additionally, it features a shop selling local organic goods. The kitchen is managed by Monica Patino, ensuring delightful meals.
BEAUTIFUL place, very cozy, relaxing and magical. Food is also very good. Enfrijoladas are very good flavor. You can also work there and spend a good amount of time which is what we did. We also bought plants, some are good private, some others a little expensive but overall fair. Pots are also super nice. It’s definitely a mandatory stop in Valle and somewhere to return time and again.

Turismo Valle de Bravo is a captivating destination that enchants visitors with its picturesque charm and magical atmosphere. While the area boasts cobbled streets and a variety of activities such as paragliding, boating, and ATV rides, it does face some challenges. The lake's condition leaves much to be desired, with litter detracting from its beauty. Parking can be limited, and dining options may not always meet expectations or come quickly. However, attentive service often makes up for these shortcomings.

This was my first place that I visited in Valle de Bravo, and it was the perfect place to start ☀️ Food quality it’s really good, everything has lots of taste, the tapas are really tasteful! Service could be a bit slow, but honestly you sit there to relax and enjoy the view with a good drink! Definitely recommended!

This place is an absolute gem! Their extensive menu has something to satisfy everyone. The service is impeccable, and the rooftop offers stunning views of the lake. To top it off, the owners are incredibly kind—it’s a charming, family-run spot. I’d return in a heartbeat!

I’ve been to Soleado multiple times over many years. The owners and staff are always very welcoming, professional and caring. As a vegan, there is always a choice and they’re always willing to adapt to suit my plant based diet. Great views of the mountains and lake from upper floor and the decor is very creative and tasteful. Much appreciation and highly recommended

Variety of delicious dish options from around the world. Excellent table service. Servers speak both English and Spanish languages. Authentic mexican dishes. Cappuccino and desserts are awesome and should not be missed

Still my favorite meal of the week, great options. Fancy food and presentation, could have ate the meal twice. Had fantastic Tiramisu dessert 😋 And more beer options than corona!

Absolutely fabulous. You will find many restaurants with a lake view terrace in Valle de Bravo, but if you are looking for an extraordinary experience, you should visit Soleado. They have such a diverse selection of dishes, all of which look great, that I had trouble selecting which of my many options to pick. The dishes I selected were just wonderful. On top of that, you will have a spectacular view of the lake from their terrace, which is completely isolated from the street below. Truly a great place. Highly recommended.

Pet friendly! Good food! Nice view!

Ordered 1 pizza and I was the only one in the restaurant apart from one table who already had their food. It took over an hour to arrive, and when it did, it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. They gave me some free “garlic bread” to apologise for the long wait time, but this too, was really bad.

I never leave bad reviews but honestly, we waited 30 minutes to get our pasta and when it got served it had no taste at all. Very disappointed of a 4+ star restaurant. Hope you take this into consideration to offer a better service.

The place and the view are gorgeous, the food is good but not great, and the service is quite slow but friendly at least.

It was a disappointing experience. Half the menu was not available and we had to wait for an hour to get food for 6 people. While we were the only guests.

What an incredible experience! I would definitely, highly recommend. A gorgeous restaurant, beautiful, elegant and cozy. The menu has lots of options that I'd love to try. The service was nice. The food was spectacular. The risotto and the pasta were delicious. The ambiance is very nice and peaceful. I loved it. I must mention, please don't order the mushroom pie. That was definitely a mistake but the rest was a complete delight.

Awesome restaurant! Everyone needs to try the alcachofa quatro quesos! Steaks are very well made, overall great food and great service. Very relaxing restaurant. Be sure to book in advance or go earlier, the restaurant gets full fast

Great place to have a family or special occasion dinner. Italian options are great including cocktails

We had a great experience, seating outdoors with a nice shade and on point service. We had the four cheese artichoke as appetizer, a pizza for entre (half pear-cambozola cheese and half prosciutto-mushroom) and all paired with a couple of glasses of wine. The food was very good and with such a large menu we can't wait to go back and try other items

Good Italian food in Avandaro. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice lunch or dinner with family. The restaurant is spacious and has a terrace for dining as well as a garden area. I tried the tuna with black pepper in orange sauce, pizza made in the wood oven and the most surprising penne dish. Highly recommend the simple but delicious Penne Visuvio. Decent house vine and yummy desserts.

We waited for over an hour to get our food. I’m not picky, but the steak was too salty to eat. We had to send it back. Another meat dish was cold and tough. And the pasta was cold. We had to send back three plates. The pizza however was great. Won’t come back though.

The food was good. The service in general left much to be desired on a slow weekday. My medium well beef medallions were brought to me rare. Twice they failed to cook them right. Not one apology or offer to exchange for another selection. The servers attitude was poor and the head chef never came to our table as promised. They were very quick to include the plate on the bill which was about $300 dollars even though I asked for my meal to be excluded. I will not be returning anytime soon.

We decided to travel to this beautiful town in Mexico for new years eve and welcome 2024, my sister picked that restaurant, well, it was the worst experience ever, very expensive but we understood as it was new years celebration, I guess we expected a great place service and amazing food as promised, well, on the contrary, the place was not prepared to serve so many people, we could see how they were short on staff, the service was the worst, they took forever to bring a drink, the food was brought at different times for all the table, the coffee mug had some kind of stains, even the alcohol was not what it was offered on the menu, and the food was not good, they served a potato soup, tasted like a can one, the beef was undercooked, the salmon not good, cheap wine, cheap sparkling wine to cheer for the new year, we google the bottle because it tasted so bad we found out the price was $125 pesos, per bottle, that is around $7 dollars, it is not the price, it is the quality, the lack of control and management, and to end the story, our table had 8 people, 2 of us got food poisoning, nice way to spend our new years eve and all that money, crazy expensive and a lack of consideration for the customer, not coming back ever again.
