This is a beautiful square in a beautiful city. We loved getting to visit patzcuaro, michoacan. And if we are ever in the area we would definitely go back.

Loved it this are vendors on a street corridor in Pátzcuaro Michoacán in Mexico but they are very clean, delicious food, prices are very reasonable.

We were just passing through the city and stopped to do some shopping and get a agua fresca. We happened to be there the day of the Corpus Cristi celebration parade.

Very old, historical. (Read up on the history). Plenty of seating. Shady and sunny areas. Traffic passes around all sides, but not too distracting. Well keep. Clean.

Like every time I have the opportunity to visit, it is a pleasure. Great atmosphere, awesome cuisine and many dishes to choose from. Love their people, very friendly and welcoming to everyone. It's definitely one of the. Must go places.

Nice little plaza in Patzcuaro. Usually, it is busy, likely because there is an entrance to the market. The market is worth a visit. You might find vegetables and fruits, say Europeans like me, have never seen. The prices are very decent, if not to say low. In addition, the market has lots of Cocinas Economicas, with good quality food.

The food we order has great flavor. All waiters were wearing face mask I guess as precaution. The service was excellent 👌. This is a great place to rest and also have a cup of unique coffee which they also sell.

My favorite restaurant in Patzcuaro Michoacán Mexico. Located in the central square and close to everything downtown. The food is a mixture of traditional Michoacano foods and international cuisine. The staff is amazing and the chef is excellent! The atmosphere is casual, upscale, and calm.

Inside the restaurant is classic colonial architecture with a rich ambiance. Outside on the sidewalk sitting under the arcade overlooking the plaza is just perfect. We tried their Michoacán specialties and enjoyed the exploration. Service is relaxed so don't expect to be in a fast food environment but the staff are cheerful and attentive. No credit cards! Highly recommend a visit.

Quick service, nice ambience, great location, tasty food, good portion size and not too expensive. Despite being vegetarian, we found adequate choice of sopa tarasca, corunda con raja y queso and spaghetti. The lemonade was fantastic as well. Greatly appreciate that all waiters wear mask, face shield and gloves. Clean toilets. Cash only.

It’s good, nice place to eat, chat, and have breakfast. The view is nice for people watching. Variety of wines and drinks.

Is fine the place is beatiful with the old furnitures , but the service is awful, including the fact that they don’t accept credit cards, the food is regular…

The location is great and the selection of drinks is even better anywhere from coffee and chocolate to tequila and charanda. You can also find traditional food and desserts. Stop for a coffee or a drink and a cigar right at the edge of the Plaza. The price is right but the place gets crowded and service can take a bit long.

Really excellent food with attention to detail. Transitional menu work very high quality... Beautiful salad, rich tamalitos, and some of the best hot salsa we have had. Highly recommended!

Food was okay not the greatest. Michoacán’s mezcal isn’t my favorite, I’d stick to Oaxacan mezcal.

Great spot to eat local regional food from Morelia and Patzcuaro. Everything was clean, well made and the service was also great. I ordered a Mole. It wasn’t my favourite mole of all time but it was great. This mole isn’t as sweet as the mole poblano actually it isn’t sweet at all you will taste chili and other flavours first.

We had such a nice afternoon people watching, eating a typical Michoacán platter making the most unique tacos and a fresh salad, with delicious micheladas and wine. Service was great for the most part bar one, and there was some attitude when we didn’t leave an excessive tip.

Absolutely beautiful church with very interesting art, stained windows painted ceilings. Artesian selling in stands outside make it fun time to walk around outside as well.

Huge cathedral, i attended a part of a service there, it was really nice and calm

One more church with its peculiar countryside charm. And a magnet for believers. You can feel the atmosphere of reverence. The image of the Virgin is a real masterpiece, starting with the materials she is made with.

It's free and beautiful. You can find a lot of interesting things there that you can buy and support the locals

Loved this place with lots of little artisan shops. The building itself is a 2-story colonial, built around 11 patios and courtyards which in turn are lined with individual shops and studios of many different artisans. I purchased some textiles as well as a gold leafed copper bowl. Patzcuaro is all about artisans and this is a great place to see a variety of them.

It's a beautiful place, where you can take amazing photos. The only thing I think I didn't like too much was the fact that there are a lot of local stores and I think it's more commercial than cultural.

Definitely a "must do" if you've never done it.

Breathtaking views after the rain stopped, friendly wild dogs, amazing stair climb if you want to, otherwise the drive up is relatively easy. Stupid hours though. "Closes" at 3, Monday thru Friday, and 5 on Saturday! Sunset is the best part of being there I should think! We were there until at least 8 pm. without being run off, but we were told it was closed by then.

Amazing place indeed! Due to some road construction work, needed to leave car and walk the last 2 km to reach here. Beautiful stone path with fantastic views of Patzcuaro lake throughout! Carry water. Take sunglasses or hat. Wear comfortable shoes. Optional to climb the 422 steps to the upper viewpoint which has not much of a view, just good exercise from all the stair climbing!

My drink was lovely and presented beautifully by the waiter. My lasagne however was very poor. It was a wet lump in the middle of the plate topped with watery mince over the top. There was no topping, no extras and not even a tiny garnish. I’m not sure this lasagne even touched a tomato. No care was taken with making this plate. They charge 205 pesos for that one big spoon full of food.

The pizza here is a stone oven style pizza with a nice crunch to it and great flavor. The breakfast here is equally as excellent and does not disappoint. The only thing lacking here is service. Our wait staff didn’t write down our order either time we went and messed up the order both times we visited. Hoping they can write things down in the future so as to not have this issue as the food was excellent.

Very good atmosphere, excellent food and service from all in the restaurant. We look forward to our next visit, which will be soon.

Such a great place in Patzcuaro downtown, her chef is awesome, pizza is delicious, home salad is tasty, my kids loved the pasta. Live music with opera singers is unforgettable!!! You have to pay a visit to this restaurant...

The food is nice and tasty but the service does not exist. They dont change the tablecloth for the next customers that will sit in thw same table. We waited at least 30 ,minutes for someone to take our order .

Worst meal I've had in years. The service and the food were both offensive. Stick to the street food. There's some amazing atole verde in the park:)

The restaurant it’s on a small outdoor patio. Service is great and the food is very tasteful. They accommodate vegans and vegetarians. Highly recommended.

The environment is lovely. With a very romantic ambience. With a fountain and tree in the center of the outdoors option. They also have indoors seating.The service was fast and the waiters were very kind and accommodating. The food was very good. We definitely scored finding this place. I rarely leave reviews unless the place is exceptional.

We have now eaten here twice and have been very impressed on both visits. The courtyard table area is a lovely space, the service is first rate and the food is fantastic. The menu offers a wide range of options from the local traditional cuisine. All the dishes have been very flavorful and unique from each other.

This is the second time I have been at this restaurant. I appreciate the cozy and lovely atmosphere. The food is very good. I especially enjoyed the chilaquiles for breakfast. The coffee was delicious. I am Italian and people need to realize that in the Latin culture, such as Italy and Spain, when a waiter takes your order and then delivers your food they leave you alone and will not come back unless you ask them to. This is a custom in Italy and Spain, and I guess it is in Mexico as well. I prefer it to a waiter coming to you every few minutes asking "is everything ok?" while you have a mouth full of food. This place is very relaxing with delicious food. They give you time to enjoy a leisurely meal with family and friends and do not try to rush you out the door like in the US. I will be returning.

The place has a lot of options and food is really good. Service was too slow and it took us 2.5 hrs to have all food for a party of 8 people.

Highly recommended!! Went here with couple of friends to have breakfast and voila. I had the best breakfast in here. Ordered their French toast with mango mouse. It was delicious and full filing. The place is beautiful decorated and the service was fast too.

Absolutely incredible food, great service from Juan, and a tasty, unique cocktail menu! Great house wine and impeccable ambience, as well, including an orange tree that dropped two oranges while we were here!

Very nice, upscale space and food with great service. The menu is a creative interpretation on local traditional cuisines. Covered courtyard is a nice retreat with shops and art around the outside.

I had read very good comments about this place and had to come to check it out. Lovely place! Delicious food and one of the best trained staff I've found in Pátzcuaro. Everyone is very polite, prices are fair and the taste and look of the dishes is amazing!

We really liked it, the chocolate cake is very sweet but very delicious, also the chile relleno was great. The tongue was very good, but not outstanding. The place is also beautiful and the service good.

Delicious food great setting and wonderful service. This restaurant had to close while ago but I believe is under new ownership there certain things that used to have like pizza that I honestly Miss but at the same time when we plan on going again.

I had chilaquiles verde the first time, and they were wonderful. Today I had chilaquiles rojos. They were still good, but not as good as the chilaquiles verde. Don Rafa looks like a small restaurant, that is until you go up to the second floor. Great location near Plaza Chica.

It is without any doubt the best value in town. Overall the food in Pátzcuaro is very mediocre, very expensive, and the portions are tiny. It is the unfortunate consequence of the huge flow of tourists to the town. The best food is to be found either in the markets or among the street vendors, but if you want to play it safe, this place is your best choice.

Okay local food... The sopa Tarasca was supposedly the best one in Patzcuaro (according to a friend) but failed to impress me. On the other hand, their guacamole was very good. The service was kind but a bit slow.
