Great place. We stayed in the safari tents and they were amazing. Love the private parking and pool. Don’t going during a storm, it’s very loud with the wind and rain flapping on the tent. Also loved the water park even as an adult. So much fun.

We stayed for 5 nights at Discovery Parks Barossa Valley. The park is well maintained with clean and modern facilities. While premium sites are available, we were allocated what seemed to be an older part of the park, still tidy and functional, with awning mats provided, but the site felt a little cramped for our 9m van, which was a tight fit. This may have been due to the promotion we booked under, so something to keep in mind when selecting site options. Overall, the park is lovely, peaceful, and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its location is ideal as a base to explore the beautiful Barossa region and local attractions. Would definitely recommend, just be mindful to confirm site size if travelling with a larger van.

This was our first visit to Barossa Discovery parks but it won't be our last. Dog friendly cabins, lots of green space and less than 1hour from Adelaide. We had a comfortable stay. And my dog enjoyed meeting lots of new people and furry friends. My cabin was clean, comfortable and dog friendly.

Had an absolute amazing time recently stayed in the safari tents for a few nights. The serenity was so lovely, calm and quiet plus having a dedicated pool and hot spa was beautiful. Staff were really helpful when needed and great location. Will definitely be coming back.

My compliments to Lea at the front desk, she was very accomodating and informative and accommodated my special requests. as well as the other 2 ladies at the front desks what a bunch of lovely ladies. The toilets and showers are big and clean. The sites are very easy to access with our motorhome and a few minutes walk through the social hub of Tanunda.

Lovely park, good location, have stayed here before, close to town. Stayed in deluxe 1 bedroom cabin, bedroom wasn't very clean, dust on side cupboards and bedhead, could see its been a little while since dusted. Skirting dusty to. Lounge and bathroom were clean.

We have stayed at this par a few times and have enjoyed our stays. Great facilities for children so good for family stays. It is walking distance to town if you fancy a meal out or just some shopping.

Great wine tour, we enjoyed our driver, Roy, with his quick wit & jokes. Most wines were excellent, all of the servers were great. We would go again!

A beautiful visit for a platter and tasting. Scarlett was young and knowledgeable. Friendly staff, delicious wine and locally sourced platter that enabled a taste sensation with the wine. Will definitely make this a seasonal spot and can't wait to get my hands on the E & E! Even on a dull, cold, winters day it's gorgeous.

Iconic Australian wine region making world class reds, especially Shiraz. It features some of the oldest vines in the country and produces some of the most well-known wines, such as the coveted Penfold's Grange Hermitage. There is something here for everyone and you'd be a fool not to go if you like your 🍷 So so much to see and do and not just wineries. We got help from the local tourist information centre, who were absolutely great, and booked a mini tour buss of the different types of wineries ,you can't go to all of them there's several hundred and it was fantastic fun. But! We also went to cheese factories, Gin distillers, Magge Beers, Dried fruits and so many more. The tourist information centre was able to book us into all sorts of special events as well, as an example a tea and cheese matching tasting at the Barrossa Valley Cheese Company & more. There's many types of Stay Facility available as well, from luxury to look after yourself units with full facilities. Great place, nice people, amazing wines, excellent food and I'm picky when it comes to food.

This place is as sick as I was after two rosé bottles in between the vines. Would absolutely get drunk there again. Bars and Pubs are lacking but the valley makes up for it with cool spots like the Barossa Valley Estate which offers very good deal for wine tasting in a charming atmosphere

Popped in today for lunch and had a great time! Food generally was good, beers and beverages tasty and reasonably priced. Don’t get me wrong this is a good spot to visit for food and drinks. That said, a couple of minor points…. The interior could use a freshen up as it looked like some areas were being used for storage. Second the pepperoni pizza, whilst not bad, felt a little stingy in terms of toppings. One piece didn’t even have toppings! Potentially being a little harsh, but there was a couple of points which just stopped me rating it higher!

Really cool space. Food was really really good, the fries were one of the best I've had. Not a beer drinker but enjoyed 2 beers from the tasting flight (I don't remember what they were, sorry). Friendly staff. Overall, great vibes but maybe the indoor seating area could do with some more lights and better look.

So nice to have a brewery in wine country. We are not craft beer people but this place caters for all tastes. We started with a paddle and narrowed down our beers thanks to the helpful staff. Settled in for lunch and a few beers for the afternoon. Well worth the experience.

My wife and I arrived for a late lunch @ 2:20 pm and the kitchen was closed for the day. I'm still getting used to the sparse kitchen hours when traveling around South Australia. I winged about the limited lunch hours and the chef felt pity for me and made me a pizza. Yay!! It was a margarita pizza AND IT WAS GOOD! However, I would have left out the slices of tomato. It's was a little overkill. I'm happy with just tomato sauce, cheese and basil on my margarita. The chef even came out and asked if everything was okay with our meal then cleared our table. The brewery was right across from the kitchen and the beers that I had (the bee sting and the Indian summer session ale) were both good. There is plenty of inside and even more outside seating. Bathrooms we're clean and we'll stocked. I would come back and try more beer and explore more of the kitchen offerings.

The peanut butter and raspberry flavour beer were one of the best beer i have tasted so far, i would recommend trying those first before going any other beers! The only reason i am giving 3 star is food is way expensive than it should be! i ordered veggie supreme cost 28 bucks for that thin layer of cheese as you can see in photo very disappointed! I think that pizza worth only 15 bucks in my opinion! The fries were great, tasty and perfectly cooked! The price of beers are reasonable & great in my opinion!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is the best word to describe this place. The overall atmosphere, food and views are extraordinarily wonderful. We shared a tasting between two which I highly recommend expectly if someone is driving. This gives you the opportunity to try a few different and very unusual beers available on tap. Unfortunately we didn't like most the beers on the tasting palette. We did both agree on the Indian summer and Hop Heaven as our preferenced beers. Cider is also available made by the brewery but not on tap. It has a very high percentage of alcohol 8%. Not recommend for those who plan to have a few glasses or driving. It has a bit of a different taste to the usual flavour to the general ciders I drink and not as sweet. Definitely worth a try. It be nice if this was an option on the tasting palette even if it was only available at an added cost option. The food was surprisingly really good. Not often do u find a Brewery which serves good quality share plates and food. The ribs are highly recommended. Even if like us you are not a fan of the "I can't believe it's not bacon" beer. It goes very well on the meat. The ribs where cooked very well with meat falling off the bones. We thoroughly enjoyed the share dish we ordered at the beginning of our sitting and found it went well with most of the beers. The dips and bread where outstanding. We even got a second bread which arrived at the table fresh from the oven. The Barossa Valley is an amazing location with exceptional views. This Brewery is located at the beginning of Tanunda and is no exception. I highly recommend dropping in her for lunch, tours or a few quite drinks with friends when in the Barossa Valley. We look forward to coming back again soon.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to visit the Barossa Valley from Adelaide and arrived in Tanunda just after midday. We stumbled into the information centre hoping to get some ideas on what to do and see and left with an afternoon itinerary filled with wonderful sights to visit and wine and food to taste. Before we knew it a wonderful young man (Adam) took it upon himself to assist us, he asked us all the important questions (how long we had/what we wanted to do etc) and mapped a wonderful afternoon for us. Adam provided a map with highlighted suggestions and in what order we should view them and it was timed to perfection. Thank you so much Adam, our visit was simply wonderful because you took the time to assist us.

We hired 2 bikes from here to explore this part of the Barossa. Both Kate and Adam were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, giving us some great tips on places to visit. The bikes were in excellent condition and both very good makes. We would highly recommend the Visitor Centre for bike hire and for gaining knowledge about the surrounding area.

Rented an ebike here for my wife. Excellent service with all staff going over and above. Dean couldn't do enough to help us and sorted us with bike and helmet in no time. Thank you for an amazing trip. My wife could finally keep up with me on a ride.

We had an amazing day riding the Barossa Bike Trail. We started at Tanunda Information Centre where super friendly Adam and Kate got us on our hired e-bikes. We rode to Anguston, all easy and mostly flat, we then journeyed back through the beautiful vineyard surrounded paddocks. First stop was Kaesler cellar door for sensational wines and service. Next onto Château Tanunda for more fantastic wines. These two wineries were outstanding and the bike trail the perfect way to enjoy the region. Definitely a great way to enjoy the Barossa!!

The Barossa Visitor Centre is a great place to start your Barossa Valley experience. Staff are super friendly and ready to provide all the info and tips you need. Kym and Adam were super helpful as we arrived in town without knowing what wine cellar to start from!

If you cannot manage to visit one of the farmers markets up in the Barossa or other businesses due to time restraints... The Visitor Centre is well worth a stop in. There are shelves loaded with Local produce and wares from Barossa Businesses available for purchase. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Five Stars for Char Barossa! We caught up with three friends for a Saturday night dinner at The Char last week, and we’re still talking about how great the experience was—so it’s only right to leave a review. We had a last-minute change to our reservation, and the staff handled it effortlessly, quickly resetting a table to accommodate our larger group. Their professionalism and warm welcome really set the tone for the evening. The drink list was excellent, and we appreciated being able to do BYO as well. Service was spot on—attentive without being intrusive. Our glasses were always topped up at just the right time, and everything flowed seamlessly. We started with three entrées to share: dumplings, charred octopus, and twice-cooked pork belly. Yum, yum, yum—what a way to kick things off! For mains, my husband and I shared the herb-crusted lamb rack and the tea-smoked duck breast. Both were absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly and full of flavour. We finished with the dessert tasting plate, which was a delightful way to end an already incredible meal. From the service to the food, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend for a relaxed but high-quality dining experience in the Barossa!

We got two takeaway wagyu beef burgers at $22 each with chips and omg, they were incredible. Fresh with nice thick brioche buns that didn't fall apart. The burgers had fresh, flavourful ingredients and were juicy (not oily!). We received a generous amount of nicely seasoned French fries. This was our first time visiting char, but will definitely be going back anytime we crave a burger. My picture didn't do it justice

Had the prime fillet medium and the 12 hour slow cooked ribs - both were juicy and cooked to perfection. Their side juice and caramelised onions added flavor. Their kids menu was great too - chat steak for the kids was a first - maybe more sauce or dip for the kids. Good wine selection - but that’s a given in Barossa

We had the platter for two. It was reasonable value and all the meat was good. I think the plate should have been warm as it got cold quickly and I would have rated one of the beef’s as “blue” so slightly undercooked in my opinion. We also had the flavoured focaccia which was nice. The wine by the glass was excellent however.

We visited Char Barossa late in the evening after a long drive from Victor Harbor, and it was exactly what we needed. The space was warm and welcoming, with friendly service that made us feel right at home. We started with the arancini—crispy, creamy, and full of flavor—then enjoyed perfectly cooked steak and pillowy gnocchi. We paired everything with a local Riesling, a crisp Pinot Grigio, and a light Barossa Grenache that was beautifully balanced. It’s also very kid-friendly, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. A perfect end to a long, action packed day.

Went to this restaurant twice when we were holidaying in Barossa. My wife had the best smoke duck, so flavoursome. I had the Mayura station wagyu beef, was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend you to visit this restaurant when you are in Barossa

About an hour's drive from Adelaide, this vineyard is great for wine lovers and even if you are not, you can head over for a detailed explanation on how wines are made and have a wine tasting experience. What I liked about this Chateau was that during the class where they shared about their wines, every attempt was made to help you appreciate their products, and they even provided coloured notes for you to keep, after their guided tour. A recommended vineyard to visit.

This is absolutely stunning!!!! A must see if you’re in the Barossa. The chateau is beautiful… the hounds are stunning… and the cellar door is opulent. We opted for a tasting and our host Rachel was fabulous… she explained the wines in detail and gave us a history of the chateau which was fascinating. You absolutely must put this on your list to visit in the Barossa, there are a lot of “commercial” wineries in the Barossa, but this one was an absolute standout for us. Great service and amazing overall experience. We loved the Tawny, shiraz ( old vine) Shame they don’t promote themselves on trip advisor etc… but maybe they’re happy enough with the number of visitors they get .

We made a quick stop here and opted for the Explorer Tasting. The staff member looking after us was incredibly generous, expanding the experience to include sparkling, several Shiraz and port options, and even some whites. While the overall style wasn’t exactly to my taste, we did find a couple of reds and a port we really enjoyed and took a bottle or two home. The premises are impressive, and the staff are both knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an excellent experience at Chateau Tanunda. The private tour and tasting was well worth it and we were delighted by our guide, Roslyn, who was charming and well-informed about both the wine and history of the site. The wines were exquisite too. A must do in the Barossa Valley!

This place is visually stunning and well maintained. We sampled a few tasty wines and ended up buying some. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend visiting if in the area.

Nice and beautiful place. Historical, Typicity and quality wines producing in Barossa Valley. Current Prime Ministet of Australia Mr. Anthony, current China President Mr. Xi and previous US PM Mr Obama did drink the wine produce in here. There is picture in the the wines tasting area to prove it. The staff is well trained and familiar with the wines. They introduce the wines one by one while you taste it. Personally recommend to taste those award winning wines. It is rather enjoying and delight, you definite will find one that suit you.

We visited this shop during the Gather Round Street Party and they did a fantastic job with service and quality. We didn't have to wait overly long and the food was so fresh and of great quality/price. We will certainly be back for the fish and also the amazing chippies!!

Great burger, chips and gravy. Bit of a wait time considering it wasn't too busy but otherwise all good. There are some small tables for those that choose to eat in or there's some seating directly across the road close to public toilets/visitor centre.

Friendly staff, quick prep (10 mins) and plenty of good food. Just what you need for a fish n chips dinner. They threw in free, yummy chicken creamy pasta.

We bought 2 Barramundi fillets on Good Friday and were very disappointed. Probably the worst Barra I've ever tried - old with a fishy smell, neither me nor my fiance could finish it. The batter was thick, chewy and dark in colour indicating old oil. Also asked for chicken salt and got no salt at all. It cost us over $30 for two pieces of fish, no chips and a single drink which is a lot to pay, especially for poor quality food.

Visited on the way home, didn't enjoy this. The potato cakes that we then found out are called fritters here were thin and uncooked. Looked like a sad little disaster. The chips were average and the fish did not look appealing at all. Too many flies on dine in made me feel quite yuck about eating my food. Not sure when I'll be back to Tanunda but it won't be to come here in a hurry.

A lovely gem, had a family outing and they were kind enough to accommodate without a booking. The atmosphere is lovely and the food was very nice. The pumpkin dish had a lot of flavour with many textures from the creamy pumpkin to the crunch of the lentils making it a wonderful experience each bite.

Fantastic food, coffee, service, vibe! This place is great - highly recommend! We ordered the mushroom ragu on toast to share and the serving was very generous. Not only that, they split it into two plates without us having to ask which was a very nice touch. Coffee was perfect and the home-made baked goods on the counter - delicious and not too sweet. Venue is nice and waitstaff were helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back!

We have been coming to Vino Lokal regularly for the last 18 months. When I say regularly, I mean we're there four or five times a week with up to 6 guests a day. Out of the hundreds of guests we've brought in, there has been nothing but amazing glowing feedback from all. We often hear guests say "That was the best meal we've had in Australia so far!". Too right. The team at Vino knows food and hospitality. Whether it's the chili egg scramble for breakfast, the chicken salad for lunch, or braised lamb for dinner - the food is always super fresh and expertly prepared. If you're in the area, don't think twice to drop into Vino's for a specialty coffee, a quick bite, long lunch, or a glass of wine. You will not leave disappointed.

We seriously loved the vibe of the place. Food was fabulous too. We just ordered scrambled eggs and toast and it was delicious. Looking forward to returning. Sourdough is phenomenal!

We had such a nice time when we had our brunch at Vino Lokal, a quint little spot, very busy and very popular, book in advance. The food was excellent, the service too especially Florence 😉 ! We had BLT and other goodies, all delish, the coffee was excellent and the orange and almond cake with clotted cream was a highlight !

We were here 3 years ago, seems they now trade on a reputation that is somewhat waning. Expensive and pretentious, a massive wine list featuring wines by the glass that are unknown but pricey. $23 for 2 spring rolls, very nice but seriously… Overall the food was good but that’s all, I’ve certainly had better for less.

Seriously the chef does not like a couple to share his $84 mystry surprise menu catered for 1 person. Total BS wine by bottle is overpriced $170. Staff appeared a bit stuck up condescending, by our casual appearance. I read about the Vietnamese lady who founded this joint. She would have been disappointed. Are you trying to rip off the rich. Or are you seriously trying to cater for those adventurous weather travellers. Seriously you've stuffed up placing couples on top of each other., when the restaurant is bare. I dont want to listen to the woes of their marriage. So annoying when the restaurant is very spacious, and dozens of empty spaces at 6pm.. What is that about? BTW the food is great looking but lacks seasoning and love. I am extremely dissatisfied as the price $ 179 included a beer 2 wines a shaired entree and duck and chicken main. BTW we had Thia food yesterday at Harndorf family cooks, a third of the price was delicious made with love, service was exceptional This restaurant is for the like for those people who look beautiful but r seriously fake. Do NOT go here .

We had the chefs tasting menu , we decided to have th 6 courses with desert!! The food was lovely, after every course we couldn't stop talking about how good it had been!! Service was brilliant, staff were very friendly and attentive they even added a candle in the desert for my birthday which was a lovely touch! Highly recommend giving the chefs menu a try every course was delicious!

Excellent dinner. The service was superb and the food was delicious. Thank you. They even managed to get us a ride back to our accommodation because it seems the local taxi service are on strike. Oh and the wine list is extensive!

Our second time visiting didn't disappoint. Exceptional fresh food, great service and couldn't fault. Not sure about the bad reviews but I cannot speak highly enough of Fermentasian. Love it.

We ordered 3 different pizzas while we are staying one of the Winery cottage accommodation. Reason able delivery fee $8 and amazing pizzas. Especially Diabola and Wagga Stagga. They are awesome!!!

We have been getting our pizza from Amanti every weekend for quite some time now. They are usually really yummy and the toppings are not stingy. The gf base is actually really nice and not rock hard kibble. They have vegan shred and are reasonably priced. But the cogs started to fall off the wheels a month ago. One one order, one pizza was missing the extra topping we paid for & another pizza in that order (my sons) had a big thick hair needed into the dough which I pulled out and put in the box. It ended up being a paint bristle on later inspection as it was so thick and dead straight. Contacted them and the lady owner was really apologetic. Gave me almost a new free pizza (they credited the wrong pizza of margarita instead of the Hawaiian AND the margarita didn’t include the extra pineapple but I let it go). Then 2 weeks ago my poor son again got another pizza with hair in it. This time it was definitely human hair. At first I thought it was a beard hair as it was sort of kinked and had a ginger hue to it, though mostly brown in appearance. Later inspection showed it was a head hair as wasn’t as thick as a beard hair. Anyway, when I brought this to their attention the response from the owner man was extremely disappointing. I was gas-lit about there even being a hair and how no one had a beard but him and his is short and not red. Tried to then mention the bristle brushes they use. Used that to ‘brush off’ the fact of a hair in a meal I paid good money for. Even though it wasn’t my pizza it was in, I couldn’t even finish my own meal cos I was gagging at the thought of this hair and whether there might be some in mine. Zero cares given. Like sorry, end of story. So on that account you have lost a loyal repeat customer because I’m not paying for pizza that’s got peoples body hair or anything other than edible ingredients that are SUPPOSED to be in the pizza. Extremely disappointed and disgusted.

During an overnight stay in Tanunda, we ordered pizza for the first time from Amanti Pizza Bar, a beloved local spot in the Barossa Valley. The cozy indoor and outdoor seating, alongside the vibrant, quirky handwritten menu packed with unique pizza names and creative combinations, instantly stood out. While many customers collected takeaway orders that evening, my wife and I enjoyed the peace and charm of the dining area almost to ourselves. The pizza was great--fresh, full of flavor, and a highlight of their eclectic menu that features everything from classic options to gourmet combinations like brisket, etc. Notably, the handwritten menu has become a fun local icon, with many regulars snapping photos and recommending Amanti Pizza Bar for an authentic Barossa Valley experience. Overall, the friendly service and inviting atmosphere made our visit memorable.

We actually ate here twice, once by design and the second because we were probably a wee bit drunk for our fancy dinner reso and the previous nights pizza was still in our memory 😂 we got the family size supreme, jalapeño instead of anchovies and it was legit 💯 🍕

Ordered online and was informed pizza would be ready to collect in 20min. I then proceeded to pay and after processing, the message immediately changed to say it would be ready in 50 min. Obviously they know they're busy, but they just con the public just to keep the sale! I arrived on time but then waited another 20 min. Just poor service and communication. Don't think I'll be back.

Ordered two large pizzas and a pull apart at 6:00pm Friday night. Estimated delivery time was 30 minutes. 3 hour later, no delivery, no and no phone calls to advise of any changes. At 9:07pm online app says it will now be delivered 11:00am Saturday. … I tried to call 16 times and got no answer. Drove to the store and it’s closed and all lights are off. House full of hungry kids, no communication and they charged me $70~ privilege. Cheers Amanti!

Ordered pizzas for a team celebration, ordered online. Service instore was great and the pizzas were really good. The instore team were also really accommodating with help to get a GST invoice after the date. Thanks Kim

We had a lovely time. I took the boys to play some mini golf. We loved the dinosaur theme and the maze. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was fast and filling.

While the front is rather nondescript, we really enjoyed the theming of the maze and mini golf. For the maze, the puzzles that are incorporated into the maze were a good way of pacing out our time there. We did have a minor issue with not knowing that some of the maze's gates don't open, but that was resolved rather quickly. The mini golf looked nice and having buttons to manually trigger dinosaur noises was amusing. Hole 16 is evil but overall it was enjoyable. I'd recommend it to anyone who has children and/or likes dinosaurs.

We had an absolutely amazing time here! The mini golf was a huge hit, with fun themes and great designs featuring dinosaurs 🦕🦖 and even a crocodile 🐊. It was such a creative and entertaining experience for the whole family. The bowling alley 🎳 was another highlight — it was so enjoyable, especially because the music wasn’t too loud, which made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves without feeling overwhelmed. The arcade games were another fantastic addition to the day. There were so many options to choose from, and everyone found something they loved. It’s the perfect place to keep kids and adults entertained for hours. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty, making it even easier to spend the whole day here without needing to leave for a meal. Another big plus was how clean and well-maintained everything was. You can tell the staff put in a lot of effort to keep the place tidy and welcoming, which we really appreciated. This is a fantastic spot for a family day out, and we 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, stress-free experience. We’ll definitely be back for more family fun soon!

4 Generations family fun day. Dissapointed that we had to pay for 94yr old to walk around. Did not get seniors discount. Charged $16 not $14 after asking if we were seniors. Staff were not welcoming made us feel like we were intruding. Payed for 6 (4 adults and 2 children)for bowling golf and maze and 2 seniors walk. We had to move twice for our bowling lanes played up. We will not be back. Last time we were here we had a lovely time and the female staff were lovely.

Wow - first time here and very impressed. The lady at reception was very friendly, helpful and funny. Loved playing their mini golf while listening to the dinosaurs roar and seeing different dinosaurs along the course. There's also a maze and bowling. We had fun.

Great set up for all ages. We went as a family of four and did one round of putt putt golf and one game of bowling. It kept the children happy and it was entertaining. Food was great and not overpriced. Would recommend for a day out.

The best wine tasting EVER!!! Arrived in Tanunda for a friends wedding and came here on the recommendation from staying at Tanunda cottages next door. We were taken care of, by Jodie who suggested some great wines and tasters to accompany! The wines are of a really high quality and went down rather easily. A great experience and I’ve been on a few wine tasters in my lifetime this is one of the best. I live in the UK but would definitely return again and would hands down recommend to any travellers looking for a great Barossa experience 😻

Had the privilege of spending time with Michelle and Finlay at a wine tasting and couldn't be happier. Their patience and expertise was extremely appreciated especially as I'm knew to red wine. My wife and I look forward to our next trip to the Barossa as we'll definitely be stopping by again.

The service was nice until our lovely person changed to someone else and she was extremely aggressive and confrontational on any questions asked. When we were leaving we asked if the deposit paid for tastings is deductible from the purchase of wine (as is with most wineries) and she curtly told us that it is up to management and she has chosen not to let us buy with the tasting deposit being deducted. Hence we did not buy anything. We were all appalled by the treatment we received from this particular lady. I cannot recommend going here.

The wine tasting experience with nibbles was simply incredible, I bought every single wine I tasted! Samantha was a wonderful host in explaining the nuances of each wine and even ran through some science tidbits in common terms. She made us feel so welcome and special.

As a fan of Peter Lehmann Shiraz, it was a real pleasure to visit the winery in person. The property is beautiful, the wines are fantastic, and the staff are very friendly. However, I am giving a two-star rating due to the pricing. I expected to purchase wines at a better price than in the market, but their prices were actually higher. Despite spending $102 on two bottles, I was still charged $20 for a shared tasting — whereas at many other wineries, the tasting is complimentary with a purchase.

We visited Peter Lehmann Wines to celebrate a family member’s birthday. The setting was beautiful. The buildings and gardens were immaculate. The interior decor was outstanding. As there were eight of us, we ordered two flatbreads and the tasting plate. The flatbread was excellent, delivered hot and it was tasty. Well worth the $35 price. The tasting plate had a good selection of items, but they were a tad sparse. For a price of $54 we expected a little more of each item. Visited on Monday, so we had the place to ourselves. We were 4, myself, wife, nephew and his partner from Cairns, on only their second tasting session. Firstly, the tasting room is beautifully furnished, with a wood fire as the focal point where we had our splendid lunch. Our excellent host was Ian, very knowledgeable, but also personable. We overstayed our planned time by some margin, but the total experience was great fun. Our younger visitors particularly enjoyed learning about the wines (and tasting them). Highly recommended.

**Underwhelming experience despite the setting** The location is lovely and the wines are decent, but overall the experience didn’t live up to expectations. I was especially disappointed that the wine tasting fee wasn’t redeemable with a purchase – something that every other winery in the Barossa seems to offer. It made the visit feel more transactional than welcoming. While the wines were good, they weren’t outstanding, and certainly not enough to justify the extra cost or the lack of flexibility. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

The food was great - we had the sharing platter which was both plentiful and tasty. Our group also got a private dining room which was a lovely touch. The wines were a little disappointing, although to he fair, we're not huge fans of Shiraz. Worth a trip though.

This is my first time visiting this estate, and I must say, it's absolutely fantastic! It’s a wonderful place to unwind, especially for children who want to enjoy a little adventure of their own after a day spent exploring the beautiful Barossa Valley wine region. The estate offers plenty of activities that ensure kids feel like they’re part of their own unique tour, rather than just tagging along on the adult wine tasting experiences. There’s a delightful café where you can grab a refreshing drink or a light snack, as well as a charming wine cellar that showcases some of the local wines. Additionally, for those with a sweet tooth, there's a lovely chocolate shop that’s definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend checking this place out – you won’t be disappointed!

Highly recommend the school holiday workshops! My kids had a fantastic time, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the wonderful staff. I had shared some dietary concerns before the workshop, and they went above and beyond to make sure my boys were well looked after .. even going as far as changing some of the products to suit their needs. The whole experience was so thoughtfully organised. The lunch by the lake was beautiful, the view was perfect, and the pizza and ice cream were a big hit with the kids. Truly appreciate the care and effort put in .. we’ll definitely be back!

Good but bad.... Yes it's a nice place, great atmosphere, chocolate is top quality, and very nice restaurant. However, not at those prices. 6 of us went, 2 adults and 4 kids. Rule was 2 items each. Then we had lunch, very underwhelming. Food was OK but once again, not at that price. Chocolate and lunch set me back $500. Apparently they have exclusive chips too, I got 11 of them with my burger. Yep, 11 chips, 1 handful. As the photo shows, $26 for about a $15 meal. $8 for a milkshake, I didn't measure the amount but I'd guess the glass was 200ml. They were nice people, very friendly, i suppose a visit just the once is ok. Mortgage the house first. (11 chips. Lol...)

As far as I know, there is not plenty of funs for young children in Barossa Valley. If you visit the Barossa Valley for wine tasting with young children, this Barossa Valley Chocolate Company is definitely a must-visit. Not just a chocolate shop, there is also a decent cafe within the same building. Good to come here to enjoy a quick lunch and perhaps purchase of some chocolates for kids. Unfortunately, no chocolate tasting nor sample was offered for trial.

We popped in here for a morning coffee, which was mediocre. This is a neat and clean establishment with good toilets . Plenty of seating both inside and out, facing a small lake. It is totally touristic and the prices are eye-watering. Check out the price of the giant “freckle” for 50 cents under $160. Mum and dad, this will be an expensive trip if all your kids want to take something home. Most packs are around $20 or more and don’t contain a lot of chocolate.

Great spot for chocolate lovers with a wide variety of treats—from truffles to bars—plus a cozy space to enjoy a meal or snack. The savory menu is a nice bonus, making it more than just a dessert stop. Prices are a bit high, but the quality and experience make it worth the occasional splurge.

We came for lunch after a full morning of wine tasting elsewhere and didn’t have room for more wine—but the food alone made it well worth the visit. We sat indoors at Essen restaurant with a lovely view of the lawn outside. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We had the sourdough appetizer, scallops, steak, and grilled cauliflower—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. Service was excellent—the woman who served us was warm, friendly, and had a great smile. Highly recommend for the food, the setting, and the hospitality. We’ll definitely be back to try the wine next time.

had dinner here and it was outstanding. The view from our table over the vines was beautiful, and we even spotted a kookaburra outside. The food was amazing the kangaroo was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, easily the highlight of the night. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic too, and the steak was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Next time we’ll be back for the wine tasting followed by another meal. Highly recommend!

Could not have celebrated a New Year's lunch any better. The food was delectable, the atmosphere heavenly, and the service impeccable. I would absolutely recommend this experience and look forward to our next visit. We enjoyed: * House bread with garden herb butter as a 'snack' * Roam sirloin with charred onion and chimichuri, and Margra lamb saddle with lentils and spiced yoghurt as our 'mains' * Raspberry doughnuts to finish.

Really enjoyed the wine tasting and the scenery. This weekend I believe it was Greg and his partner from Hobbs working in the tastings and they were absolutely fantastic service and we really enjoyed it. Only issue was the team member behind the bar, she was not welcoming at all and we were looking for some light eats and she literally gave us 60 seconds to order while we were getting a great story during the tasting. If we didn't order in 60 seconds no food or something like that. Was a good day but the lady working there was diabolical in her service skills.

Such a great concept to have 7 highly rated winemakers in one destination. The team there are so knowledgeable on the wine. Friendly and easy to sit back for a lazy afternoon learning about the wine and the area. Good to meet the winemakers and hear their stories. Of course after a generous wine tasting experience we moved across to the restaurant where the team were friendly and attentive and the food was divine. This is how to spend your day

Fabulous views and wonderful, thoughtful sculptures. Easy to get to but there’s a bit of a slope if you’re less able.

Always fantastic views great to walk around all the different sculptures and to just breathe some fresh air whilst enjoying marvellous views. Go and have a look it’s not that far for a fantastic reward.

Good to come here to have a view of the Barossa Valley. The sculptures are not very meaningful things, as there was no sign or directory to tell you if there was a story behind them. There was even no sign to tell you which type of rock was used for the sculpture. There was no toilet, no shelter, but there were two tables with bench though. The sculpture park looked lack of maintenance. Perhaps there are not many interesting things to do in Barossa Valley except wine tasting. There were many visitors and the car park was full during my visit on last Saturday.

It has beautiful views of the barossa, make sure to go on a sunny day, the art is interesting to look at and the kids enjoyed running around looking at them all.

We were served this ‘fresh chicken’ that looked like scraps and the fatty leftovers. After bringing this to their attention we were asked to pay for a replacement and the manager said “that’s just how it comes” with no apology or any accountability for this disgusting looking ‘chicken’. Absolutely terrible customer service and food quality. Do better

Pretzels ARE as good as they say, quite possibly the best pretzel I've eaten. Great range of items, friendly staff and I enjoyed my chunky steak pie and pizza scroll. 5/5 from me but wifey took a point off as didn't quite enjoy her steak and mushroom pie

Well presented and abundant food to choose from in the shop. Unfortunately, I chose the Pepper Steak Pie. When I opened the bag I thought they had given me a “lasagne slice”. It sure didn’t look like a pie 🥧 It was flat and rectangular. Well anyway, the first bite revealed a sloppy gravy filing that had no substance and minimal evidence of steak. Please see my pictures, it’s true!

Such a busy place with a long line. Service was friendly and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately the pies were sloppy, gravy filled with minimal meat/steak. The steak and mushroom had a few peices of mushroom.The chocolate eclairs weren't great neither.

We are a traveling family and this is the best bakery we have come across since leaving home! The apple crumble don't was amazing, the rolls were delicious and fresh and the pizza scroll was great too. Tasty iced coffee and good customer service on a very busy morning. Thanks for starting out next leg of the trip on a good note.

$50 steak was chewy and served with no sides. Sides are extra, as is sauce. Lamb was the same, no sides. Tomato on plate was undercooked, cold and had no seasoning or flavor. Mash was good, but for $5 was tiny. Veg was a decent size. We also did breakfast to see if it was any better. Cold waffles with american style bacon (overcooked) wasn't great. Get a new Chef who can price a menu properly and cook good food. Building was nice but carpets in dining room need a good clean.

A pretty decent experience in a stunning atmosphere. Myself and a group of 6 attended on a Saturday night for dinner. The service was pretty good and drinks came out promptly. However, there was significant waiting time for food to be served at our table. Kitchen looked rather understaffed and the venue was only 30% full. The chicken parmigiana looked a little sad, but good portion sizing. The steak sandwich was quite good, great flavour on the steak, however the chips were cold. Overall the venue is very visually appealing, however the wait times and food could be improved. I would probably return if in the area.

What an absolute disappointment. We were the FIRST people to arrive for lunch and yet somehow ended up being the LAST to get our meals. Customers who arrived well after us had their food served before we even saw a plate. We ordered two $47 sirloin steaks (one medium, one medium-well) and a kids meal. The steaks came out alone on huge plates with nothing but two sad, dehydrated-looking roast tomatoes. No sides. Sides had to be ordered separately – roast potatoes, broccolini, and chips – which just added to the bill. For a place trading on the Angas name, you’d expect a half-decent steak. Instead, both were a disaster. My partner’s steak was burnt on the outside but RAW in the middle. He couldn’t eat half of it and left it untouched for staff to see. Mine was basically raw too – I ended up taking it home to finish cooking myself! This is not “medium” or “medium-well” by any standard. For $47 a steak, this is laughable. We raised the issue and, after paying a total of $180 for two steaks, sides, a kids meal, and a few drinks, the restaurant “kindly” took $30 off. Honestly, that was an insult more than anything. The fact that this is our second bad experience here (the last time our order was also wrong, but we didn’t complain) just seals the deal – NEVER again. To put it bluntly, whatever your chef is doing in the kitchen, it isn’t cooking. It’s careless, sloppy, and downright unacceptable. Angas & Co needs a serious wake-up call – because right now, the food and service are not even close to the standard the name suggests. Extremely disappointed, frustrated, and wont be back.

Started off a bit disappointed. Due to menu was nothing like what is advertised on webpage or even here on review. Spoke to waiter who was sorry about it but said there is nothing can be done about it ???? Was looking forward to the mixed grill. Ordered black garlic pizza bread, oven too hot so cooked but doughy as and close to burnt needs more of a garlic taste. Special octopus was devine. Soft octopus and beautiful salad. Main steak was cooked perfect and steak sandwich was tasty Nice Wine selection. Great to have extra napkins on the table. Overall very delightful dinner with wifey Did not order desert.

I expected and wanted more out of this place - large venue with booths, generous seating and a central fireplace Yet was very empty during a weekend visit, food was good but menu was limited. Not as many pub classics as expected. Considering the percentage of tables that were booked (read:quiet), we waited an enormous amount of time to get served - well over an hour for table of 4 with just one meal each, no frills and ordered drinks at the bar. Maybe this is why they're not popular? On paper they should be!

Value, service and quality! Good food, with generous servings at a reasonable price. Friendly staff that were attentive and caring. The Wine selection is great and a few cheeky cocktails to top off a great meal. Options and games for the kids as well. Well situated and appointed for all year, any weather dining.

Charming little bistro in an old house. Loved the space, and loved the vibe in the seperate rooms. Great friendly service and some solid food. Steaks, potato’s and Brussels for us both served with a bottle of Sangiovese, what’s not to love? ♥️

A crackling fire on this chilly day, beautiful Barramundi with Asian flair, and Brussel sprouts that will convert even the most stringent “sprout opponent”, were everything we were looking for from the Barossa today. The service at 1918 is fabulous - the staff know their dishes and the wines well. Thank you 1918 we’ll be back.

I had a good experience here! The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. The atmosphere was really nice, and being so central made it super convenient. It’s a great spot to unwind, slow down and take it easy. Highly recommend!

Warm atmosphere and lovely staff. Glad they moved us inside as there was heavy rain and cold winds. Amazing dishes that were cooked perfectly. The scallops and kangaroo entree were delicious and the mains could not be faulted. Haven’t had such a good and filling meal in a while. Highly recommend and would go back if passing through.

Unexpectedly pleasant! We were looking for a dinner venue for us, which is limited for a Wednesday evening and with a 10month old. We found 1918 menu to have a good offering so we'd thought we would give it a go; and we are glad we did. The food did not disappoint. Kids menu offered variety to just "deep fried". The hospitality was amazing, as was the ambiance. Everyone was lovely, even the other diners. Our only regret is that we didnt arrive hungry after a day of indulgence around Barossa. All in all, we had a simple but very enjoyable evening. Out of the few dishes we tried, the octopus dish was delicious.

My wife and I went here on our babymoon. The staff placed us by the open fire and left a love heart on the table, which definitely made our night. The staff were amazing but the food was even better, literally everything we had was perfect and we wanted more. I'm shocked we didn't roll out at the end of the night. It's obviously a little pricey but you get what you pay for!
