Food and service was amazing! Dave went out of his way to make sure we were looked after for our delish Mother’s Day lunch and made me a superb spicy margarita 🌶️ 10/10 Thank you

First visit here for us yesterday. Checked out the pub for lunch & we all thoroughly enjoyed not just our meals but the hospitality & humour from Dave & his excellent staff. High quality food & the pub decor & facilities were outstanding 🤩 5/5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thanks guys, couldn’t fault anything! Can’t wait to come back!

The Rainbow Beach Hotel is a great spot for a beach getaway. It's right near the beach and offers comfy rooms, tasty food at good prices, and even a pool table for some fun. The service is excellent, making for an all-around enjoyable experience. friendly staff and amazing location. Definitely worth considering for your next trip to Rainbow Beach!

Beautiful food. Great lunch specials. Steak was juicy. What made it fabulous though was Dave, the manager. So warm and welcoming, funny and engaging. Will definitely be back. Also LGBT friendly.
Rebecca D — Google review
Dave did everything in his power to secure us a table out of thin air. He then made sure we were settled, fed and had enough beers to last us a lifetime. Food was great and well priced as was the beer. Will be coming back
Joe O — Google review
Terrible. We are far from food snobs, but if you're charging $48 for a 300g rib fillet, please try and make an effort to cook it properly. There were 4 adults at the table, 3 got a rib fillet and one got a T-bone. All were WAY overcooked and not even just a little bit, but all done. My wife asked for hers rare, it came out well done. I asked for medium rare and it came out well done. The other two got a rib fillet and t-bone, both well done. We had driven 4.5 hours and didn't want to wait, so we just ate and left. You pay $2.50 extra for sauce which is such a tiny amount of sauce. The beers were nice and cold. Staff were friendly, but at $50 a steak, I expected it cooked the way I asked. And it wasn't even busy here. We got here at 5:45pm, so it's not like they were overworked and stressed. Honestly, no excuse. Knowing how to cook a steak is a staple of a pub/hotel. If you can't cook steak better than I can cook it at home, don't charge people money for it. Atrocious. Maybe it was an off night, but something tells me you don't come here for steak.
Dwayne C — Google review
Went here for lunch on our recent stay at Rainbow Beach and wasn't disappointed! Staff are super nice and friendly, especially the Manager who has a great sense of humour, couldn't fault our meals, the beer was cold and what a place to just sit back and watch the world go by! Will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were in the town on the night of 20th August and had a wonderful experience, the service was top-notch! The girls at the front were absolute legends so kind and generous. Around 9:30pm the whole town was shut, couldn’t snag a bite anywhere. I mentioned my 2 year old was hungry and they went above and beyond, giving a fresh pizza and garlic bread for us. that made our night so much easier. Truly outstanding hospitality-couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Surf lifesaving club
Club
Rainbow Beach Surf Life Saving Club offers breathtaking views of the colorful cliffs and the sea. The venue features a spacious deck area with picture windows, providing an inviting atmosphere to enjoy the stunning outlooks. Despite ongoing construction, the club remains operational and maintains a clean, fresh ambiance complemented by the refreshing sea breeze. Visitors can expect accommodating staff and a laid-back dining experience with diverse menu options including gluten-free choices.
All staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Credit to the door staff and bar staff. Our food was spot on. And the view from the deck was awesome including spotting some whales. Everyone should treat themselves to a meal there at some point in time…..or at least a cold drink.

This is a nice place with an amazing view outdoors over the beach. I got a Carlo Schnitzel, which has guacamole and prawns on top. I liked the ambience and the schnitzel was delicious, it must have been deep-fried as a whole piece. I took some photos as well.

The place is beautiful with a stunning view. Staff is nice also. But the food is not really good. Looked like frozen for the seafood plater.. And my partner has been sick after a risotto.. The best choice would be to have the meals of the day which were much better. (Beef cheek)

Nothing to complain about at the Rainbow Beach surf club. Great ocean views, good selection of beers, and awesome burgers & food. Nice spot to enjoy an afternoon beverage.

🇦🇺 Had lunch today at the Rainbow Beach Surf Life Saving Club, a lot of choice, beautiful meals, prompt service and very friendly staff. The view off the deck overlooking the beach was beautiful, well worth the visit

A must visit surf club for magical location, friendly service, prompt meal & great views. Oysters for lunch were a winner, with subtle Asian dressing on the side.

We had lunch on a Saturday. One of the best locations in Qld. Service was good. Great choice on menu, prices reasonable. We booked & were there 11.30, very busy by midday.
Steve C — Google review
We came for a beer on Fathers Day - got to the club at 1115 am. asked if we could have a quick drink (we didn’t have a booking) and were told if we didn’t have a booking they couldn’t help us. There were literally about 5 people in the whole club. We persisted and said we just wanted to have a drink. We were then told OK - you can sit at a high table but not outside. There was not one person outside. Anyway - we wended up having a beer but had to leave at midday at the latest!! Which was absolutely fine and exactly what we hoped to do! A friendly helpful attitude would have been so much more helpful in this situation.

Dingo's K'gari (Fraser Island) Adventures

4.7

Tour operator
Dingo's K'gari (Fraser Island) Adventures is a lively hostel that offers dorms and rooms with free breakfast, parking, luggage storage, and a pool. It is known for being the best access point to the famous Kgari (Fraser Island). Visitors highly recommend taking the 3-day tour as it provides ample time to explore the beautiful island. The guides are praised for their knowledge, humor, and leadership skills, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
We did 3 days, 2 nights tour with Dingos and I could not recommend it more. Our tour guide Benny absolutely made our trip. He was the perfect level of brilliant fun and easy going but also efficient and knowledgeable. We all had so much fun and that was down to both him and Aidan! The food was also 10/10, such fresh ingredients and plenty of it. Our activities were nicely spaced out and the campsite had everything we needed! Thank you so so much, will be recommending to all my friends :)
Áine D — Google review
Our 3-day, 2-night Dingos tour on K’gari was honestly the highlight of our whole East Coast trip. What made it truly special was our guide Arty. He didn’t just show us the island – he brought it to life. The way he spoke about K’gari with so much passion and respect was amazing, and on top of that he also had a deep love for Australia as a whole, which made every story and explanation even more interesting. He managed to keep the energy high, the group connected and the days perfectly balanced between adventure, chill moments and learning about the land. From swimming in breathtaking lakes to driving on the sand highways, everything felt unique and well organised. I’ve never felt so inspired and entertained on a tour – massive shoutout to Arty for making these days truly unforgettable!
Max L — Google review
Our group had Arty as our group leader and he was great! We saw incredible things including a historic shipwreck, lots of wildlife, stargazing, crystal clear lakes and learnt so much about the indigenous people and their history with the island. It was clear Arty went above and beyond to make out experience the best it possibly could including sitting with us round the fire and telling us tales of the island and ensuring if we ever need any help with travels or have any more questions after the tour that dingos would be sure to help us out. Me and my group had a fabulous time and I would recommend it to anyone considering going! Normally camping isn’t my thing but the experience was well worth it and I met the best people
Poppy L — Google review
Best experience of my life! Even if you don’t think camping is for you please give it a go. I had the most insane three days, driving 4WD’s, swimming in lakes and creeks, a scenic flight, learning about the history and culture of the Butchulla people and great food! Sunrises you can’t beat and our guide Arty just made the entire trip with his humour and passion for the island! 100/10 never to be missed off your way coast itinerary!
Kira B — Google review
We did the 3 day tour to K’gari and it was absolutely amazing I would 100% recommend it. Our tour guide Shae was absolutely incredible from sharing her knowledge and history about the island with us, to being so caring and taking the time and effort into getting to know each individual in the group. I had a small injury and straight away Shae was prepared to help clean the wound and shout out to Arty who also helped to bandage me up. We have made memories to last a life time and it wouldn’t have been the same without Shae who made our time feel so special.
Imogen S — Google review
This tour was amazing and what was even better was our tour guide Arty. The things we did were amazing and driving the 4WD cars was so much fun. Arty took really good care of us, the food was always good/ enough and the group was amazing. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

Carlo Sand Blow is a stunning 15-hectare sandy area with breathtaking views of Tin Can Bay, the colored sands, and Double Island Point. It's just a short 5-minute walk from the carpark at the end of Cooloola Drive through dense bushland. For an extraordinary experience, visit at sunrise or sunset for a spectacular view of Queensland's coastline. The sand blow offers impressive cliffside views and ever-changing colors and patterns in the sand.
Never seen sand dune type things in Queensland. This was such a beautiful spot. The walk up to it felt like a mild hike 😅but it was worth it. Keep in mind if you’re going up for sunset to bring mosquito repellent because we got absolutely munched on. Worth it tho! 🌟🌟
Emma A — Google review
Great view and short walk from parking space. There 2 scenic lookout. Have to walk down towards the beach, but theres no connection to the beach.
Hifdzannudin H — Google review
Always face place of mine to visit. It is close to a km walk from the car park to the blow hole. Make sure you take the time and effort to get to the edge of the cliff over looking the ocean, it is a little tough if you have issues walking as very sandy and need some strength to get back up. Billion dollar views await !
Ivanka M — Google review
Its huge and its beautiful. Amazing place for the sunset. Just 10 minutes walk from the car park. Close to Rainbow Beach. I would recommend everyone to Take water bottle and a big beach towel or picnic mat to sit and watch the sunset. We went there on a weekday so it wasnt that crowdy, it could be really crowdy in the weekends as it is very beautiful place. 👍
Subash K — Google review
Such a wonderful experience, and a great find when travelling in this area. Quite an unusual area, but a great place for sand boarding, or even just rolling down the sand dune. Beautiful sea views at the coastal side with paragliding and the opportunity for whale watching, alongside beautiful green landscapes at the other. The sand blow is about a 5 minute walk from the car park, and definitely a must when in the area!

Amazing. Love this location at sunset, and it can get quite busy here with people coming to have a drink and watch the sun set! Fun to boogie board down the sand dunes and wander around, see the water and beach below. It's a short walk from the carpark through the bush (300ish metres or so, maybe?) with some stairs along the way. Love this spot!

RV park
BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Rainbow Beach is a delightful destination for families, friends, and couples seeking a memorable getaway. Just minutes from the town center, this park offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly reception staff ready to assist you upon arrival. Guests can choose between cozy cabins or spacious powered sites for their stay.
We booked a powered grass site and they were wonderful and HUGE! Close to the water yet still relatively close to the amenities which were very well-kept and nice. Lots of hot water, separate toilets AND the option of toilet/shower which is great. Our dog loved it here as well, lots of awesome smells to explore. A barista-made coffee, friendly staff and enough entertainment options for the kids - even on rainy days - made this stay unforgettable.
Marleen — Google review
Great open park for caravans / motor homes and a good number of cabins. Amenities were clean and tidy, park grounds looked well maintained. My only complaint and in my opinion a very dangerous accident waiting to happen...... the entry access to the park from CARLO road is on a 90° blind corner at the end of a long straight road and if the parking area is full from other visitors vehicles booking in you are left waiting on CARLO road waiting to book in. A terrible accident waiting to happen.
Peter W — Google review
We stayed in a cabin and it was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped no complaints there. However, the family facilities were underwhelming: No swimming pool and no safe beach area to swim, despite advertising kayak/SUP hire. Slushie machine out of order and the drinks fridge was almost empty. Jumping pillow deflated/out of order, which was a let-down for the kids. Lots of kids riding bikes and swearing at each other around the park. Staff were friendly, but these issues didn’t seem to be a priority to fix. Overall, great accommodation but poor on activities and maintenance not what we expected for a family stay. Update: The photo for the SUP as advertised is not at this location.
Marius B — Google review
So honestly, we stayed in a budget cabin. #45 to be exact. We weren't expecting glamor, we paid 158aud. What we WERE expecting was a functional shower, it even boldly advertises "rainfall shower head" on expedia.. We didnt get that. The shower is made for someone who's 5 feet or shorter. It literally comes up to my husband's chest, hes 6'4. Im 5'7 and had to crouch to wash my hair. Photo included. This is kind of an idiotic design flaw for a cabin with high ceilings, capable of having a normal height shower head. I realize to meet NCC's code you need to have a certain amount of tile above the shower head, but it was possible to meet code, tile higher and not have a 5 foot shower head in this cabin. Pretty disappointing to spend almost 200 a night to struggle in the shower to even wash our hair after a beach day. Besides that, cabin is dated but functional, amenities are cool and park is very family friendly. Would stay again, but would request a normal sized shower capable of properly showering in.
Tay A — Google review
Great park, spacious sites. A bit sandy at the back. Nice and quiet. Location depends on what you like to do and if you are immune to midgies it’s nice. We had leave because of the midgies. 5 minute drive to town
Tina C — Google review
Average cabin. We got the superior 2 bedroom and it only had 1 aircon which wasn’t great. The floors were dirty as which wasn’t great when my 13 month old is crawling still. Beds are hard as rocks too, wasn’t comfy. Staff were great though and location was good. Jumping pillow looked to be broken or permantly not working anymore. Which was a bummer with for our 2.5 year old. Would be great with a pool also but again they didn’t have one. I wouldn’t stay again for the money I spent.
Tara Q — Google review
Great camp grounds. Great toilet/shower facilities. Camp kitchen is a massive plus. But one 2 sinks 2 stoves for the whole camp site. There is a line for washing up dishes. Bring your phones.
Nikola D — Google review
Got the spa cabin and the spa didnt work. The worst shower I've ever had, hot water all the way on and then as soon as you try put cold with it goes too cold, no matter what you did couldn't get a warm shower. Only 1 aircond in the whole unit, not good enough to reach the back room and was hot in there. All in all cabin is very old and requiring maintenance that has been lacking. They dont have a pool either. Def way better option in town especially for the money they charge. I would have thought they would have offered a discount on the stay when I told them about the issues but nope didn't look like it was ever a thought. The facility is extremely clean and tidy and the staff were friendly enough, but after being out fishing all day all you want is a nice warm shower and that was just impossible unfortunately. I.would recommend going for an alternative accommodation option as there are quite a few others.

Dolphin Feeding Tin Can Bay

4.3
(789)
Dolphin Feeding Tin Can Bay is a unique and unforgettable experience where visitors can interact with wild Australian Humpback dolphins. The feeding session takes place in the morning, starting at 7:30 am, and lasts for about an hour. It's essential to arrive early as the dolphins only stay for a short time before they disappear again. The feeding is supervised by volunteers who ensure that strict guidelines are followed for this incredible encounter with these magnificent creatures.
A truly memorable experience! The volunteers were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the dolphin feeding both fun and educational. We were advised to arrive before 7AM to secure a feeding ticket when the gates open—feeding kicks off around 8AM. Beforehand, there’s an informative talk by the volunteers, and a cafe on-site if you arrive early. Entry is $10 per person, with dolphin feeding an additional $5. The feeding itself is magical—you wade into waist-deep water, hold out a fish beneath the surface, and a dolphin gently takes it from your hand. There are plenty of chances to capture amazing photos and videos too. Highly recommended for families, especially with young kids. A unique and well-organised experience that’s definitely worth the early start!
Kerbray — Google review
Amazing experience that doesn't cost the earth. $15 to feed the dolphins! 🐬 ❤️ The volunteers are super informative and you learn a lot about the individual dolphins and their traits. Notes: * You can get wet so be sure to have a change of clothes especially if you aren't staying nearby. * Wearing crocs (with the strap on) or reef shoes in the water is fine - otherwise you'll be asked to go barefoot. No shoes allowed. * Touching the dolphins is prohibited. * You can't book ahead of time. It's recommended to arrive at 7am to avoid missing out if it's busy. * Feeding the dolphins is scheduled to start at 8am but wild dolphins will show up if and when they want to.
NZ D — Google review
Had an absolutely amazing experience feeding the dolphins at Tin Can Bay. Volunteers were incredibly nice and helpful. A far better experience than Monkey Mia, where it is all about the dollar. Had a delicious breakfast wrap at the cafe. A must do when visiting the area. Get in a early to secure a feeding token.
Lisa R — Google review
Great for both kids and adults. Avoid school holidays and public holidays unless you really love crowds. Everyone were able to feed the dolphins. Plenty of parking - Please don't park in the parks for boat trailers as heaps of people did - park out back of this area. You do get fined .... Cafe onsite and Plenty of staff to assist.
Gavin W — Google review
This was very informative and the volunteers were great with the dolphins too. You want to be early if you want the chance to feed the dolphins too as limited tickets. I was only about 10-15min early but easily got a ticket. Many went there and the discussion is about an hour from 7-8am before standing in line to get a turn to hand feed 2 fish to them. Was worth it though 😊
Vanessa M — Google review
Arrived at 7am, long queue already. Wait about 10mins to purchase tickets to get in, entry fee $10, entry+feed dolphin $15 per head, will be given fish token upon purchase. Queue to get down to beach area by group of 25 per time to close look and get to know dolphins. 8am ish starts to queue to feed dolphins, if not rush can wait until the last, the whole feed runs until 8:30, then finish. During the feed time, can go by group of family, some can help taking photos and video without holding the fish token. Short but affordable dolphins feeding experience
莊喬涵 — Google review
The positive is that it was nice to see the dolphins up close and be able to hand feed them one fish. We did appreciate that it is run by volunteers and that nice coffee and meals are available. My negative is that a sign should be placed at the entrance advising of a 'talk' is given at 7am before the feeding commencing at 8am. We arrived at 6.45am, listened to the talk which is informative, however the volunteers continue to repeat this information as more people arrive at 8am. It became monotonous after a while! Entry fee is $10 per person or $15 per person if you feed them a single fish.
Jacqueline L — Google review
We come on the weekend, the gate open at 7 but 6:30 people already line up. The feeding starting at 8am so come bit late still okay cause there's no order who can feed the dolphine

Little Parliament is a trendy and organized cafe located in a touristic area, offering an extensive menu with options for vegetarians, vegans, and traditional breakfast lovers. The cafe serves breakfast all day starting from 6:30 am and offers delicious dishes such as waffles and Bircher Muesli. Visitors can also enjoy well-made coffees, freshly squeezed orange juice, and alternative milk options. The friendly staff provides great service while the atmosphere adds to the overall experience.
We have driven twice from Cleveland, to have brunch at this awesome cafe. First time we ordered coffee and the Asai bowl and the second time, coffee and the Szechuan pepper squid. Each time the coffees were good and the food was excellent. Service was good with friendly staff behind the counter. Atmosphere was buzzing. Both times the cafe was busy. Just shows how good it is. Will definitely come back when the weather gets a bit warmer :)

My wife and I absolutely loved this cafe! We got the iced coffee, fish and chips and BLT and it was top quality!! We can’t wait to come back here when we return to rainbow beach. My wife also purchased a corduroy bucket hat at their small boutique shop in the cafe too. All around fun for lunch, 5 stars!

Lovely cafe in Rainbow Beach with lots of seating options indoor and outdoor. Cool artwork, store goods and surfboards. In terms of the food and drinks, the highlight was the matcha, mango smoothie and brownie. Other items we ordered included the pulled pork nachos which were good but a little uninspiring and lacked flavour. The open Steak Sanga was also good, but needed some extra hot sauce or something. Chips were beautifully cooked and delicious. I would like to try the other menu items for sure.

The prettiest cafe in rainbow beach, even though it was a busy saturday morning, we had the fastest service ever!! I love how they let you pour your own shot into your iced coffee, fun little different experience. Don't make the mistake I did and go on your last day in Rainbow Beach..... I would have gone every day if I had known how good the food, service and most importantly the coffee was!!! The young man / boy who took our order could teach a masterclass on exceptional customer service. The Eggs Benedict was hands down the best I have ever had, the sour dough toast it was served on was next level....bacon cooked to perfection. The iced-coffee, came with the shot of coffee on the side, which i nearly finished before mixing in with the ice-cream, milk & ice. Thanks! Breakfast here was the perfect way to end our Rainbow Beach holiday!

This charming venue offers an array of delectable tapas, including bug rolls and Thai fish cakes, all while you soak in stunning sunset views. It's the perfect spot for those who appreciate fine cuisine paired with picturesque scenery.
10/10 experience, heaps better than the surfy and pub. well priced meals that are bloody DELICIOUS. Bar staff and waiters were incredibly nice and helpful. Views are astonishing. Where else can you get a beer and burger with ocean and sunset views for less than $30??? 10/10 would highly recommend.

Duck was served raw, blue as shown in pictures. Showed the waiter and she said she would check with the chef but never took the plate back to the kitchen. Just came back 5 minutes later and said it was fine. If a customer says it is too raw I don’t understand why the staff would not take it back for it to be cooked properly?

This could possibly be the coolest venue I’ve ever attended. Great staff and a heavenly aspect - overlooking the most beautiful beach you could ever ask for. I could not resist the dish called “Roadkill” - Tender kangaroo, served on potato pave with blanched greens and a cranberry sauce splattered on the plate to emulate a roadkill scenario. It’s a must do when you visit this achingly beautiful part of Queensland. It also has an elevated deck that overlooks Rainbow Beach.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and it had a great vibe. It was difficult to get a table but we found one in the end. The food was amazing, cocktails were good, service was fast, and the location is beautiful. It's opposite the beach so you'll get a nice beach view if you're there during the day.

We really enjoyed the deck. Ended up eating here 3 nights of a one week stay in Rainbow beach. Food was great. Came out really quick in non school holiday visit. Downstairs is good area where kids can roam around.

I’m not gonna lie this place sucks! The lady who took our order had some kinda problem with our table, rude snotty serious attitude problem. Very expensive not worth the money at all! Go down the street to the frying fish cafe have a way better meal with your family. Better service, better price, better atmosphere, and you’ll be full when you leave. Portion size is small and disappointing. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to play a prank on someone to waste their time!

Had high hopes for this place because it’s great location. I got the fish and chips and it was terrible! Fish was so sogy and sad:( also the lady who took my order was pretty rude for no reason.

Very disappointed. Booked a table to watch the wallabies v All blacks rugby. Was sent a text to confirm all good and game will be shown. At ko time we asked the bar staff if they could put it on but was told no free to air available at this venue 🤔 Regarding the food, total mess up with timing of 4 meals plus items missing. Couldn't recommend this place.

Somewhere Over Coffee is a must-visit gem in Rainbow Beach, where the vibrant café culture thrives. Known for its delightful breakfast offerings, this spot caters to both locals and visitors who love starting their day with a hearty meal. The open seating area creates a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying expertly crafted coffee and delicious dishes like burritos or pancakes that are as big as they are tasty.
Fantastic spot for a coffee or breakfast - air conditioned and outside seating. The Fresh avocado and bruschetta mix was amazing.

The best coffee I have had in a long time. We also had breakfast of eggs Benedict and a breakfast burrito.. Our meals were wonderful and fresh. The pre made breakfast cabinet & muffins all looked so good and fresh as well. Could not fault this cafe.

- Blueberry muffins without blueberries. - noise when cars drive by + service and location are good

Great coffee, gorgeous vibes - definitely the pick for high quality coffee on the main drag. Daughter had an iced strawberry matcha- which is a mystery of a beverage choice to me- but she loved it. Cute retail/gallery offering while waiting (not long) for it to be ready was a bonus.
Kate D — Google review
Actually the best breakfast I have eaten from a cafe. Light and fluffy home made sourdough, not over toasted. Very generous serving of fresh avocado and bruschetta mix, everything perfectly seasoned. My wife's Italian scrambled eggs were just as good she said. Absolute credit to the chef.
Rod C — Google review
To be honest, I do not recommend this café. Worst breakfast experience of 2022. The scrambled egg is too salty, OMG. The coffee here is no difference between normal instant coffee. I know it's a small town, but coffee and breakfast can't be that hard to make. Has this café changed owners?
Michael F — Google review
Loved that there was a separate vegan and vegetarian menu with some great options, I wish all cafes had their menu layout, it made it so easy for us! Lovely inclusive service too!

The hazelnut frappe with coffee was good. The big breakfast was quite nice but the toast needed more butter. My friend couldn’t even drink his banana shake as it had a very fake sweet flavour.

Quay Carlo in Rainbow Beach is a highly recommended restaurant with a lovely waterfront location at Carlo Point. Visitors praise the generous and delicious meals, as well as the accommodating and friendly staff. The sunset views are particularly stunning, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. The menu offers diverse options including tapas specials, seafood dishes, steak, and gluten-free choices. Guests also appreciate the chef's talent and attention to detail in preparing each meal.
We had a wonderful few hours on their deck. We watched the sunset ordered very delicious entrees and main meals. The service was excellent the house rose was very dry not sweet and my husband had very chilled Japanese beer. It’s a must

Had an amazing meal here, easily the Best Restaurant in the Rainbow Beach area! They managed to slip us in without a booking which I’m so grateful for because the food and view was amazing! We went for the ‘Tapas Specials’ and I absolutely loved every one. Really good value as well if you like sharing. Also the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Awesome place to go for lunch, views are amazing. Service was perfect and food was incredible with the slight exception of the red emporer being a little dry, singapore noodles were the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend.

Went for sunset dinner with our dog. It was his first time at a restaurant and they were so accommodating with him and all said hello to him which he loved! The view is amazing at sunset and the food was delicious. My partner said it was the best steak he's ever eaten and I was impressed to see so many GF options. We'll definitely come back if we're ever in Rainbow Beach again.

A lovely spot for a rainy Saturday lunch! We spotted the fish tacos going to another table and ordered on the spot. Other favourites were the steak sanga and prawns starter. Fun to watch the fishies fight over the staff throwing bread into the sea too! Highly recommend - fresh, delicious and filling 🥰

Day 2

Proximity is everything
For day 2, we bundled attractions like Arcobaleno on the Beach and Rainbow Beach Holiday Village and other places within a close range, so that the time it takes to travel between all of them is less than one hour. Combined with the average time people spend there, your day should take about 7 hours.

Arcobaleno on the Beach is a welcoming Italian restaurant located near Rainbow Beach. Despite not being directly on the beach, it offers a cozy atmosphere and delicious Mediterranean fare. The restaurant serves breakfast with options like savory mince ragu with poached eggs and offers wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas for dinner. While the location may seem off-putting, the seafood options are highly recommended and reasonably priced.
Food was absolutely amazing with presentation and flavours. Customer service was great - thank you. Atmosphere is always beautiful!! Every year, we return to our favourite little Italian restaurant. Great character and feel to this cosy place. Highly recommend!
Ash — Google review
Such a nice dinner! As Spaniards, we now appreciate good Italian food. This food here is not just genuine Italian food with excellent products and care. The food has the chef's personal touch. The spaghetti carbonara follows the original Italian recipe and then goes beyond. The pizza is fresh and cooked in a wood-fired oven. The Caesar salad, although not an original Italian dish, is delicious and very hearty. Whether with prawns or chicken, you'll be delighted. The mussels napolitaba are served with buttered toasted bread, I guess the chef knows how we like to dip the bread in the sauce, which was tasty but not too much so you can appreciate the quality of the mussels. The service was very efficient and friendly by local standards, we were served when it was almost nine o'clock on a Sunday which would be the equivalent of midnight in Spain or Italy. Expect 10% extra charge on sundays (pretty standard in AUS). We must return to try the homemade lasagne and the mussels in wine. Also, I want to learn more about this chef who knows the secrets of Mediterranean recipes but doesn't settle for the standard and surprises locals and visitors alike. The tiramisu is delicious, even without the cream. We leave satisfied and grateful; we will be back!

We were advised that the wait would be an hour but it took 1hr 45mins. The delay didn’t really bother me but you will see from the photo that the pizza is charcoal and the $15 kid’s spaghetti is tiny and the kids said it tasted horrible. We ended up having Vegemite sandwiches tonight and threw the food out. Delays are okay but when you finally get your food and it is horrible, that makes you never want to go to a place again.

The best italian restaurant of all my trip ! All is handmade and taste like in Italy. Strong recommendation for this place. It was so good that I came back a second time =)

Just reopened a few days ago under new management - staff were so lovely and there’s definitely an authentic and family friendly feel to the restaurant. Food was really good (spaghetti bolognaise and meat lovers pizza) large portions and super tasty.

My family have visited Arcobaleno on the Beach between the 4 of us 4 times since we have been on holidays. The food is sooo good. The first time we went my family shared there meals. The pizzas look amazing and the Seafood platter they couldn’t stop talking about. I had a plate of Roast Vegetables with a spiced yoghurt. We went again last night Friday 23rd August 2019 There was 6 of us, we booked for 6pm and they were busy, but they service didn’t suffer. So if you are at Rainbow Beach drop in and have a meal you will not be disappointed. Just a few pictures of the meals from last night.
Susan O — Google review
They seem to get quite booked up so glad I called ahead in the morning. Tables filled quickly once it reached 6pm. Good ambience, service ok- they were understaffed so it was just the one waitress juggling everything for a bit. Half the seats were outdoors for alfresco dining but we were told that there wasn’t gas in the heaters and nothing they could do about it so it was pretty cold for a winter night by the sea (also on a side note we were being bitten by aplenty mozzies there). Unfortunately it’s a small restaurant and they were booked out so we remained in our seat but recommend getting that gas sorted asap. Bruschetta was delicious and pizzas looked small but they pack on the fillings so you’ll be surprisingly full after 3-4 slices. We enjoyed the popeye pizza and chilli chorizo. If you’re a fan of seafood and love capers and anchovies with a splash of salmon/prawn/cuttlefish chunks here and there it’s definitely going to be delicious. Scallops on top were a plus that added to the pizza.
SteakIsLife — Google review
We had heard such great reviews of this place so thought we would give it a try. The BYO factor is good. Unfortunately we were left quite disappointed. The deep fried camembert was ok but the berry citrus sauce tasted like jam out of a jar and was served on toast which I thought was unnecessary. The margarita pizza was lacking flavour and only had 3 leaves of basil on top and the mozzarella was perhaps sliced a bit too thick in parts. The salmon ravioli itself was very nice, the soft pasta pillows were packed full of flavour but the sauce it came in had a strange sweetness to it like someone had added sugar by mistake.

Rainbow Beach Holiday Village BP Service Station is a fantastic caravan park located conveniently close to the main shopping area, pubs, gelato shops, and of course, the beach. The park offers clean facilities including toilets and showers, as well as a beautiful pool area. Guests can even make use of "Marriage Saver II," a mini John Deere tractor to assist with parking caravans.
We loved this village thank you. From the first phone call to book in, clean bathrooms and across the road from a beautiful big beach front park. Pool was cold being winter but we had a quick dip anyway because it looked too nice not to. The cabins and grounds looked well kept and everybody friendly that we met. Walking distance to town for great surf club, restaurants and a few good shops for a wander. We will be back :) thank you

Second stay at this holiday village. First time in a Studio Villa and just spent a week in a Poolside Villa. Beautifully clean and equipped for our stay. Had a couple of small issues which were fixed same day. Lovely friendly staff, fabulous location and accessible to great shops, clubs and the pub. Had a fabulous time and we've already booked another stay.
Marilyn M — Google review
We stayed at Rainbow Beach Holiday Park and overall really enjoyed our time there. The waterfront views were absolutely beautiful and made it such a relaxing place to stay. The caravan park itself is quite cramped, and the amenities are a bit old and rough around the edges. There isn’t really a proper camp kitchen – just an outdoor power point with a few electrical appliances and no fridge or freezer. That said, the view from our site and the park directly across from where we stayed definitely made up for the downsides. It’s a great spot if you’re after an easy, peaceful getaway by the water, especially if you value location and scenery over facilities.

We recently stayed at Rainbow Beach Holiday Village. The facilities are clean, staff are super helpful and friendly 👌 and would highly recommend anyone wanting a great time away alone or with family and friends. The new management are the best thing that has happened to the park, so many improvements as well as the biggest morning tea fundraiser they recently had. Hands down 100/100
S D — Google review
The only thing they have going for them is the location of the park. Have a roof top tent, you need to pay for a powered site, which is not even level! They say they have "beach front spots" but what they mean in "beach adjacent", where you can catch a glimpse of the 100m away cliff backed beach inaccessible from the site through the trees. Want soap in the toilets, nope out of luck. Want a kettle in the camp kitchen, nope (you only spent $65 a night, why would you get a kettle). Want amenities near your site, nope they are under construction (no discount offered). Want hot water to wash your dishes, nope only cold for you. I may as well have stayed in a national park for $7. Oh and what's with their website? Try booking a camp spot on it. You can't. It looks like you can, but you can't.
Daniel N — Google review
We have just stayed for the night in a studio villa. We were extremely impressed with the unit. It was spotless, the mattress was super comfortable and pillows were perfect. Had everything we needed and so close to all the restaurants.
Carol L — Google review
Unfortunately, I can only give this caravan park 2 stars due to the terrible site we were put on for our stay. Site 59 should be avoided if you are booking as it really should not exist. It is enough to ruin your holiday to this beautiful town. The site looks onto all the clotheslines, it's close to the laundry and rubbish skip. A path to the toilets/showers is along the sites slab, so there is no privacy at all as people are walking past all the time. The sites electricity cord has to go across this sandy path, so this is concerning and a tripping hazard for park patrons. Recent works to the drainage means there is a big drain right beside the site just to add to the overall lack of ambience. ( equipment used for the works was left around the site as well). This park is quite nice, with a lovely pool and in a great location, but site 59 should not exist. We would have cut our losses and left early, but fortunately, the weather improved so we could leave our site and enjoy this beautiful area.
Sue M — Google review
Spent 8 days at the park. The location of the. Park was perfect, right in the centre of town and walking distance to everything that you needed. The park is quite old and could use some maintenance work, such as the actual van sites. The majority of the site were very uneven and unkempt. Some on the concrete slabs were cracked and uneven. There were extensive renovations being down the amenities block at the eastern end of the park, which meant that the entire section of the park had only one single male toilet. Shame that this was not mentioned at the time of booking. The park is very quiet.

The Coloured Sands Cafe is a popular spot known for its delicious burgers, pancakes, and fresh lunches. It's a great place to enjoy excellent coffee and food with friendly service. The cafe offers great value for money and has reopened after experiencing a fire incident. Additionally, there are other nearby bakeries like Eds Beach Bakery and Rainbow Beach Bakery offering tasty pies and smokies. Another recommended spot is Creme de la Creme, which boasts an array of ice cream flavors to choose from.

The experience with Epic Ocean Adventures Rainbow Beach Tours was exceptional. The weather was superb, and the crew was fantastic. They had extensive knowledge about the constantly evolving shores of Rainbow Beach. We were fortunate to witness breathtaking scenery and encounter numerous whales and dolphins. The tour also allowed us to enjoy observing soldier crabs and catch a glimpse of a turtle on our way back. If you happen to be in town, I highly recommend this tour operator for an unforgettable adventure.
What a ripper day out! Nature enthusiasts will love this experience. Sean encourages a respectful quiet approach to observing marine life from the kayaks. As a result, we were able to get precious close encounters with whales passing Double Island point. Turtles over the reefs near flat rock. We paddled side by side pods of dolphins as they arched and dipped in unison. Sean has deep experience of this area and was able to set us up with the best possible chance of seeing these wonderful creatures in the wild. Memories will be locked in your heart forever.

Excellent adventure today, kayaking with dolphins and saw some mantas and whales. Big turtles too. Was incredible. It was a bit too busy tho with just too many people in my opinion. I hadn’t realised it was such a big group so it got a little hectic. Anyway everyone was super nice and our driver Seb, who is also the surf coach, was excellent and so knowledgeable about the whole area!

We had the most epic day today. Thank you to Sean for a day of stunning weather, a fantastic and informative drive out to Double Is Point and the best kayak experience seeing multiple sightings of dolphins and whales! Highly recommend this awesome experience!

An amazing experience! Multiple pods of dolphins swam right by us! And we got to see whales and turtles and a manta ray. But even if we hadn’t, being out on the water in such a naturally beautiful spot was glorious. Sean was a superstar guide — really informative and friendly. Also got a great view of the coloured sands 4W driving along the beach. Totally worth it, a really fun tour, and would love to do it again.

Best day out EVER, with our family of 6. Thank you Suzie for your warm welcome and friendly manner. JB couldn't have been a better tour guide and kayak instructor. Loved this so much, booking again for next year. Awesome! Lou and Jenn, Bargara

A fantastic experience with a brilliant guide. Myself and my partner did the $80 kayak + 4x4 experience and had a great time. Unfortunately there was some tree debris on the beach so we couldn't drive along the seafront but went through the forest track instead. Our guide and driver Sean made sure the journey was as smooth as possible. The kayaking was great, we were quite a small group and were therefore quite agile which meant we could keep up with a small pod of dolphins with a calf. We also caught sight of a whale in the distance. A sea turtle did pop its head up at one point. Sean was kind enough to record the dolphins and send us some footage and photos of us on the water. All in all a great experience, would recommend!

Wow! Have heard of Double Island and seen some photos but they don't do justice as to how amazing it really is. We were picked up at Rainbow by Andre from Epic Ocean Adventures who took us on a private tour with two families and 5 kids aged from 8 thru to 15 and all of them had an absolute ball. Andre took us both surfing and kayaking that the kids absolutely loved. Can't wait to come back.

Hostel
Self-catering accommodation
Freedom Rainbow Beach is a classic Australian pub with a historic charm. The spacious rooms offer comfortable beds and modern amenities, although some may lack air conditioning. The hostel provides a great location and features two pools with hammocks for relaxation. While the kitchen and bathrooms have received mixed reviews, the friendly staff and overall atmosphere make it a pleasant place to stay.
Stayed here on a Thursday and it was such a fun experience! The hostel had an awesome vibe – there was a DJ playing that night and the music was fab! There was even a pizza van, which made dinner super easy and tasty. The bar had a cheap happy hour that kept the drinks flowing without breaking the budget. And to top it all off, we got a free pancake breakfast by the pool the next morning before heading out for our Fraser Island tour. Some of my friends also did the morning yoga the day before with Sian, which they highly recommended.

5 Stars – Amazing Stay! I had a great experience at Freedom Rainbow Beach Hostel. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. A big shoutout to Zara and Leah – they really made my stay special. Always smiling, super helpful, and genuinely great people. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. If you’re heading to Rainbow Beach, I definitely recommend staying here!
Anthony W — Google review
Staying in Rainbow Beach? You found your accommodation! Look no further than Freedom. The hostel is so cool and has a nice social vibe. Location is also on-point: just in front of the Greyhound station and a few blocks away from the beach, city centre and supermarket. Free pancakes in the morning before the excursions, free sausage barbacues for dinner, DJ sets at sunset, lovely central pool, big shared kitchen, laundry, bar, and clean rooms with air conditioners and private bathroom. It's a young atmosphere with +200 beds, but it has also private rooms available if you want to have your own space. Most people stay here before and after their excursions to Fraser Island. However the best part was the team at the Freedom Hostel! They are absolute legends. The staff in reception is so friendly, kind and welcoming, with a big shout-out to Santi! But above all a special thanks to Dave, Pablo and Leah who went above and beyond when I was feeling unwell (and on top of that, very anxious about being unwell in a foreign country whilst traveling solo). They took care of me as if we were lifelong friends, and words are not enough to express how grateful I am. I would come back a thousand times just to hang out with them in the pool and chat about life in the garden. This is the place to be whilst backpacking the east coast, it feels like home away from home.

The nicest hostel ive stayed in so far. The location was amazing woth it being only a 5 minute walk to the beach and right across the road from the greyhound bus stop. I stayed there for 2 nights before my K'Gari trip with dingos. It was amazing to stay there before the trip as the meeting point was on the site. The events in the evening were also amazing, while I was there they had a free wine and cheese evening and a free sausage sizzle which were amazing. The rooms were also lovely, I stayed in an 8 bed all female room which was great. The room was very clean and they were able to provide extra blankets. The pool was also lovely and the area surrounding the pool was so lovely to relax around. Definitely recommend staying here.

The hostel has a really cozy vibe, everything was super clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pancakes at breakfast were delicious, and the pool was perfect for cooling off after a hot day. Great location and an awesome place to meet other travelers. Would definitely come back!

Really spacious rooms, very clean and lovely pool area. Kitchen also seems very new, which made it the nicest and cleanest hostel kitchen I’ve ever used. My only complaint is the room allocation. Lots of backpackers stay here the night before their K’gari tour with Dingos which has a 7am meet time. We were put in a room with people who had returned from the tour that day so we disturbed their sleep when getting up at 6am. This then happened in reverse when we returned after our tour. It would be good if there was a way to allocate rooms to those going on the tour and those returning so no one is disturbed unnecessarily!!
Rebecca W — Google review
The best thing about this hostel is that it’s beside the bus stop. The lack of sockets in the rooms is very poor considering the majority of people staying here are preparing to go on a 3 day camping trip or have just returned. The rooms are cramped which makes it difficult for guests to pack their bags for camping- we and everyone we knew staying here at the same time encountered this issue. We had to take out suitcase back out of the room and try and find space outside on the ground to pack a bag. The bunk beds are unstable. There is an ensuite toilet in each room. The door to our toilet tended to lock itself when closed. This occurred one night and thankfully one of the men in our rooms was able to open it with a knife but this meant the six of us in the room then had to use the toilet with the door open overnight. Whether the door is closed or not though the privacy here is minimal. The shower drain was not great so the bathroom floor was always soaked. The kitchen is quite small, and not very clean.

Rainbow Stairs, a vibrant and colorful attraction, emerged in 2018 during the Pride House Commonwealth Games. The stairs feature six colors of the rainbow as a tribute to the LGBTIQ pride rainbow. A popular spot for both locals and tourists, it offers a picturesque setting for photography sessions. Situated near the beach, it provides an added bonus for visitors looking to capture stunning images.
What a stunning beach! The facilities here are excellent, with ample parking spaces and a charming playground for kids. It's an ideal spot for a family day out!

As long as you understand it's just a set of stairs near the beach colorfully painted, you won't be disappointed. A fun novel thing to honour the name of the area

Rainbow Stairs is a vibrant and iconic landmark, offering stunning views of the coastline and vibrant colors that make for great photos. The stairway, beautifully painted in a spectrum of hues, leads to a serene beach below, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll and some relaxation. It’s easily accessible and provides a picturesque experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re taking in the views, snapping pictures, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, it’s a must-see location.

Cafe
Cafe Jilarty at Rainbow, formerly known as the Shak, has expanded its offerings to include pizza and extended its hours to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu features flavorful and generously portioned meals, including a special backpackers menu with budget-friendly options. The cafe's pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff make it a popular choice for visitors. Additionally, Arcobaleno is another beloved local spot offering Mediterranean cuisine in a family-friendly setting with live music on Sundays.
Best beef burger I had on our 2 months trip trough Australia! My wife loved her fish and chips as well. Very nice ambience and great valve. Low prices (paid for fish and chips and the beef burger 25$). Big recommendation!

To date, best vegetarian burger I’ve had - the handmade patty was unlike any I’ve tasted before in all the best ways. I didn’t know I’d have to go all the way to Rainbow Beach to find it. My brother had the fish and chips - highly rated and will come back again!

Nice atmosphere and some of the meals that were backpacker specials were reasonably priced. Unfortunately sold out when we got there, but it was extremely busy being 2nd January. The staff were nice and courteous and despite how busy it was, the meals didn't take overlong to arrive.

Decided to come to this adorable and affordable cafe for breakfast while my boyfriend is off doing scuba diving. The design your own wrap and Coco Loco smoothie were delicious and don't break the bank. Great spot for a relaxing breakfast. Very popular!

Some menu options are a bit overpriced. ( mashed avocado on plain toast $13.50) Also still using thin plastic straws in the smoothies which makes them very hard to drink. Food was well prepared and tasty. Second visit was disappointing. Prefer other takeaways in Rainbow Beach
Steve J — Google review
Food was very good for the price. If you are looking for a relatively cheap and good meal I would check out Cafe Jilarty. Breakfast and lunch both flavourful and large servings. They also have a special backpackers menu with cheap options on it. Gluten free pizza is available at lunch.

I am not happy. The prawns were really good. but for over 19$..seven pieces of shrimp with only lettuse three coctail tomatoes & red onion you will not be full. The woman behind the desk was not helpful or happy at all. Asked to buy a bowl of salad and vegetables but could only buy lettuse. Or buy a whole new dish. But my friend was happy with the chicken Burger.

Cajun chicken wrap was good, if a bit runny but still tasted nice. Would be 4 stars but I saw they were selling plastic ‘messages in a bottle’ and was sad to see a company promoting the idea of throwing plastic into the ocean. Such a shame

Brent's Burgers is a haven for burger enthusiasts, offering a wide variety of options including vegetarian choices. Whether it's lunch, dinner, or just drinks at the bar, this place has you covered. The classic cheeseburger is cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. However, the chicken burger was disappointingly dry with no sauce and an additional charge for condiments. Despite this, the staff are incredibly friendly and the open space creates a relaxed atmosphere.
Beautiful place to have lunch. Very friendly staff. If you order Burgers of your choice the Chips included, but the sauce is not. You have to pay extra $1. Apart from that the Burger that i ate was very delicious, i ordered "Sticky Asian Pork Belly Burger" slow cooked pork belly with a sticky asian glaze and crispy fried noodles, red onion, sitting on a herb slow! ❤️ i highly recommend this place.
Flordeliza S — Google review
This place was really welcoming, so family friendly and very happy for us to come straight up off the beach and have a burger in their trendy little alleyway setting. Also, served us up the biggest ice cream we've ever seen, kids couldn't believe their luck and it made for really memorable lunch stop.
Brian G — Google review
I had a delicious chicken burger I could hardly get my mouth around. Sweet potato chips with sour cream and sweet chili sauce were scrumptious and the fried cauliflower bites were amazing. Staff were friendly and service quick and the tables tidy and clean. We will ho again.
Ian L — Google review
Brent's Big One, patties were among the best I've had - solid 5 stars. Chips and "secret sauce" (we guessed Sriracha mayo) were awesome, too. For a burger this size, I would suggest a toothpick through the middle, was pretty messy by the end (but well worth it).
Ben L — Google review
Paid $60 for 2 flathead & chips and 1 nuggets meal. The flathead are small and look more like crumbed sausages and the kids nuggets meal had 5 nuggets and a few chips. The portions and quality was well below what you'd expect especially for $60. Really really disappointing.
Aimee M — Google review
A gem in the sand of the sea. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff and amazing food. The meal looked so good I ate it before I could even take a photo. They also had an easy to use and fast tablet ordering system.
Matthew T — Google review
Probably visited at the worst time possible, thousands of tourists including us flocking to these poor small towns! Seemed understaffed at the time, wasn't clear if we should seat ourselves or get seated by a waiter/waitress, ended up seating ourselves, had to then flag someone down as the staff were seemingly ignoring us. Overall once the service actually started it was decent and fast. Great selection of beers on tap as well as other cold drinks (must have!) Burgers are on par with the contemporary standard, nice charcoal buns and fresh ingredients being used. Only gripe was when ordering a "side of rings" as an add-on to the burger I figured it would replace the chips, but instead it's in addition, when there's also a seperate menu order for rings.
Brad H — Google review
We highly suggest to eat at Brent’s Burgers. While traveling around Oz, this was such a welcoming place. Staff were incredible. Food was delicious. I’d highly recommend the Cajun corn cob! Get onto it.

Awesome location for the Fraser Island ferries ⛴️. So close to Rainbow Beach for supplies, the camp grounds here have toilets and spots so close to the water for fishing and kayaking. The area is a 40 zone, not that many abide by it, but there is a merciless motorbike cop catching a few so would serve as a deterrent. The ferry area is sandy, depending on weather, traffic and volume of cars determines how soft the sand it. Air your tyres down so you do not become an obstacle. Bring recovery boards and a snatch strap. Don't stay on 40psi. At least 25-30psi on the day pending conditions. I run at 20psi for the Island 🏝 Was an outbreak of gastro in the camp grounds so practise good hygiene. A picturesque location. Most accessible by normal sedans until the beach, where an AWD/4WD is necessary

Good family beach camping spot. Has wheelchair accessible toilet facilities Camp sites are easily accessed with 4x4 but otherwise you can park a few metres from the camp sites on the road Rainbow Beach is very close to get supplies or visit a cafe/pub Can get very crowded during peak periods so probably don't bother during public holidays
Thomas H — Google review
Lovely setting with literally thousands of camping spots , (although it does get very busy you should be able to find a spot) you can choose from setting up amongst the trees or on the beach front and everywhere in between. There are toilet blocks and rubbish bins dotted around as well as the occasional non drinkable tap . Take your own drinking water with you as well as any other vitals as there no Shop close (this includes Fire wood) The longest you can camp here is 30days by permit which I think is around 6-7 bucks (beach driving by permit also ) which is online or from some of the shops at rainbow beach .

Pippies Beachhouse Backpackers

Hostel
Nestled in the vibrant Rainbow Beach, Pippies Beachhouse Backpackers is a relaxed hostel that perfectly captures the essence of laid-back coastal living. With an inviting outdoor pool and a communal BBQ area, it’s an ideal spot for travelers looking to unwind after a day of adventure. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and make use of the shared kitchen and laundry facilities, making it convenient for those on longer journeys.
We absolutely loved our Fraser Island trip with Pippies eventhough we had to go back early due to the cyclone. From the moment we checked in, everyone was so friendly and the hostel was clean. Noticeably the kitchen. On the day of departure, everything ran smoothly and we were lucky enough to get Nate as our guide, what an absolute legend. He was just brilliant. He was like superman at times when cars got stuck or broke down and was so funny. The campsite was brilliant, the showers and toilets were super clean, the tents and linen etc were perfect and we all slept really well. Eve though, the 2 night trip turned into a one night trip and we didn’t get to do many of the activities , I still wouldn’t change our time there. Pippies looked after us so well when we returned back a day early and made sure we all had somewhere to stay, unlike another popular tour company who had people paying to stay on the floor next door. They refunded us money also which we were impressed by considering the weather was out of their control. Sports bar over the road is good also and you get a discount staying at Pippies. Would highly recommend picking Pippies for this tour!

was a little nervous about staying here but it was included in our tour so we did anyway. the pictures are sooo deceptive! It is a cute rustic hostel and if you are not picky it’s a great place to stay. the rooms were old for sure, plug ins were just extension cords on the floor. bathrooms and kitchen were clean and the staff are great. the hangout spots around the outside are great too.

It was one of the best parts of our trip so far. Everything went so smoothly and super organized. Our guide Jamie was amazing and super funny. The food was really good, the vibes, everything!

We rented an apartment at Pippies! The instructions were unclear on how to self check in and we ended up lost. There was no one answering the number they provided if there was an issue checking in and they were quite rude the next day in response. The apartments themselves were basic but filthy. Does the job for one night but the main hostel looked nicer then the apartments.

Fine for one night but nothing great. My bed was super uncomfortable and had a great big dip in it. The walls are paper thin and you could hear the TV next door so loudly. People from other rooms complained on multiple occasions of mice being in their room as well as cockroaches. They supply you a plastic box of cutlery and crockery which I find odd. My bedding had holes in it. I’m sure they don’t clean the big grey blankets either. No where to lock any storage either. Very close to the beach though. I guess people are there for 1 reason only and it’s for the Kgari adventures. The bathrooms are pretty grim. The bath floor towels were stuck to the floor because of how wet they were and I didn’t see anyone go in to clean them. Same with the toilets. Kitchen was odd. No scissors or tea towels to dry anything. There is a pool but no on goes in it. It’s really dirty and small. Laundry machines are coin operated only and you can only use them after 1pm. Very unsocial and quite often felt like the only person there

Carlo Sand Blow, located in Rainbow Beach, is a massive sand dune that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Whether you're gazing towards the town or facing the ocean and forest, the scenery is truly stunning. Visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas extending from Double Island Point to Fraser Island and catch mesmerizing sunsets to the west. This spot also provides an excellent opportunity for whale watching during the season.
Very close to the town centre, the path is a but hidden but it’s an easy walk up there and the view is absolutely stunning. We went in June and you can’t really see the sunset from up the dune, but the colours at that time are absolutely stunning anyway!

Wolf Rock Dive Centre is located in the charming coastal town of Rainbow Beach, New South Wales. The dive site offers a stunning underwater experience with its clear waters and diverse marine life. Divers can encounter an array of creatures including jellyfish, pufferfish, dolphins, whales, and sharks. The center's staff are known for their friendliness, expertise, and passion for diving and marine life.
Great dive center and great diving. The dive briefing was very detailed and clear. I felt very safe. Thanks you James, Dave, John for a great experience. Professional and positive vibes all day. At wolf rock the dive conditions were pretty good for us, we felt lucky. We booked two days to increase our chance we could dive if one was cancelled. We we able to dive both days and it was well worth it. Swell wasn't too much, current was medium. Vis was only about 8-10 meters but this just made for very atmospheric vibes as the sharks appear and float by quite close if you are being chill. A manta or two in the gloom and some very cool eagle rays were also about. Lots of big schooling fish. Also saw some whales on the boat back :) Don't forget to look at the things on the rock, we saw some very cute little eels.

I'd highly reccomend Wolf Rock Dive to anyone who wants to go diving in southern Queensland. Rainbow Beach is a great little town with an awesome dive shop. The briefing was top notch and detailed. The crew were awesome, the boat, dive site and Grey Nurse Sharks🦈 were fantastic, I'd highly recommend them,

What an incredible dive experience! Our guide Jess was amazing and went out of her way to point out all the amazing creatures. I got to see my first octopus and look it in the eye. The sharks were beautiful and the rays blew my mind. The crew were really supportive when I got sea sick and I felt well cared for and safe. 100% recommend

Thanks James & your crew what an amazing group of caring people for their dive site. We were very well looked after with warm coats and soup between dives. On the dive when you are at about 10meters the wow factor kicks in with a bang!! On our dive there were 50 plus beautiful Grey Nurse Sharks, so many other fish and the vibe was just INCREDIBLE!!! Boat and gear are all well maintained with some great dive crew to help your every need. Can't wait to come back at different stages to see mantas and maybe even whales.Wow Wow Wow!!!!
Tracy O — Google review
Dived with James, David and John for two days and had a great experience from the get go, from the clear and professional dive briefings to the way they managed the operations on the boat, to the dives themselves. I felt in very good hands! The dives themselves were great even though visibility wasn’t ideal (about 8-10m). We saw too many grey nurse sharks to count, mantas, a pair of eagle rays, and the rock formations themselves surprised with me their abundance of macro life, including some very pretty nudis and eels. At all times we were surrounded by schools of fish. It reminded me of the Galapagos and it’s easily one of the most impressive dive sites I’ve been to in Australia. On the way back on day 1 we saw whales and they generously stopped the boat for a while so we could watch a baby whale enjoy itself in the afternoon sun (from a respectful distance). Overall, they were a great crew to dive with. We knew ahead of time that there was a chance we couldn’t dive at all because the weather can be unpredictable but I’ll happily take my chances again because I can see how hard they work to make dives happen at this very special dive site. Highly recommend.

What an amazing experience with James and Dave. Great organization, lovely atmosphere and clear briefing. We had quite some respect diving with a bunch of grey nurse sharks. We got very clear instructions and felt safe during our dives. Thank you so much. For sure, we gonna be back.

Absolutely incredible experience, one of the best you could have underwater anywhere in the world. Hundreds of grey nurse sharks cruising right alongside us, rays, huge schools of batfish, octopus, eels, sea snakes, nudibranchs... Great guides made you feel safe and supported. Don't miss it!!

Nestled within the Shell Service Station complex on Rainbow Beach Road, Ed's Beach Bakery is a beloved spot for both locals and tourists. This charming bakery embraces its roots with an impressive selection of traditional pies, pasties, and sausage rolls that are sure to satisfy any craving. But it doesn't stop there! Ed's also offers modern delights like fresh sandwiches, wraps—including a standout chicken schnitzel and slaw wrap—and even vegetarian pie options.
I recently visited this bakery in Rainbow Beach, and I must say, it's one of the best I've been to in Queensland! The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and efficient, making me feel welcome when I walked in. The food was amazing! Every bite was a delight, from their delicious jam doughnut rolls and cinnamon doughnuts to their perfectly baked sausage rolls and pies. I tried the plain pie and the chunky steak pie—both were exceptionally tasty. The pastry was soft, fluffy, and baked to perfection! This bakery is a must-visit for anyone visiting the area. I highly recommend stopping by for a delightful treat!

I’m not sure if this bakery actually understand what sourdough is… I paid $9 for a loaf of rye “sourdough” that is nothing more than regular bread. I’ve uploaded a photo of their “sourdough” side by side with what a sourdough SHOULD look like. It should be SOUR, and chewy, and delicious. What you’ve sold is regular bread with a false label of sourdough. I hope you can either learn how to make actual sourdough, or stop falsely advertising your products.

I’ve never come across a business that doesn’t include GST in their prices. And they do not state anywhere that this is the case - poor business practices and sly behaviour! This HAS to be run by someone with little to no morals as they also sell 1-2 day old desserts without telling the customer and have a the gall to charge full price.

Really good pie. Average quick pie road stop vibes, decent fast service. Really. Good. Pie.

Everything just ends up being a party of flavour in your mouth🤩🤩 it's fresh and the pies and pastries are the best in Queensland for sho! My fave at the moment coli and Broccoli pie oh and the schnitzel and slaw wrap, it's to die for🤤🤤🤤

Rainbow Beach Pies & Cakes

Bakery
Rainbow Beach Pies & Cakes is a popular bakery known for its delicious pies and cakes. Located at the Shell across the road from the Getaway, this bakery offers a variety of treats including Corn meat and white sauce pies, smokies, ice cream flavors, and Mediterranean fare. Visitors rave about their chocolate iced donuts, jam donuts, meat and veg pasties, salad rolls, lamb and rosemary pies.
I bought a beef and cheese pie: it was so good that I had to go back to the shop and buy something else. I chose a blueberry muffin to try it. After I complimented her on the pie, the lady was so kind that she wanted to give me another sweet treat for free. A perfect stop to eat something quickly and at a reasonable price.

What an incredibly busy little bakery. Lovely family who work so hard, they open at 6am and go all day. The line up at 3pm shows how good they are, delicious pies and cakes and bread. They also have a massive selection of made up salad rolls and sandwiches which looked so good!

Chocolate muffin is a 5 star. Delicious pies. Strongly recommend 👌

If you're looking for a chunky beef pie, full of tender steak go somewhere else. My pie had 6 pieces of chewy, tough beef that couldn't be broken down & had to be swallowed whole. The gravy was tasty. Lucky, as there was plenty of it! Don't start me on the yellow pastry...... All in all, garbage food . Edit: in regards to their reply below, yes it's the correct shop, the other shop selling pies is called Salt & Pepper, 20m along the footpath same side towards the beach.

Looking at previous bad reviews and the reactions from the bakery, they tend to make excuses for their unhygienic work place. Well what’s the excuse for hair being in food. I purchased a sausage roll, salad roll along with some other stuff. I ate the sausage roll straight away and found a hair baked into the pastry (unfortunately didn’t get a photo just thinking it was bad luck). The hair was black which consisted of the people working there. Later on that day started to eat my salad roll to find another hair yet this time longer and baked into the roll, pure disgusting, felt like throwing up. No excuses for this. 2 DIFFERENT FOODS, 2 HAIRS, 1 DAY. It really showed me not to trust what other people make. WEAR HAIRNETS! Disgusting. Never will be back.

three nights at Rainbow Beach and three visits to the bakery - fantastic pies delicious and good value, great coffee and lovely friendly service. Even popped back when returned from Kgari before resuming our travels. Will be back.
Todd L — Google review
The best lamb and rosemary pie I ever had, I kept wanting more. The pastry is so soft and fluffy, chucks of lamb in a rich sauce. They do serve many other varieties, however, I stuck with the lamb and rosemary. The lady who works at the counter is pleasant and the service was quick.

Try the chicken and vegetable pie. Best pie I've had! Also the Vietnamese rolls are perfection. Glad I don't live here. I'd get too fat!

Sports club
Nestled in the heart of Rainbow Beach, the Rainbow Beach Sports Recreation and Memorial Club is a vibrant hub for both locals and visitors alike. Open every day, this inviting venue features Cherrys Steakhouse, where you can savor delicious meals during lunch and dinner hours. If you're looking to unwind with friends while catching a game, their lively sports bar offers the perfect atmosphere paired with refreshing drinks.
Called in for dinner and also the Raffles and Music Bingo. The meal came out quickly, and all was delicious. All the staff were friendly and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Had a great night and loved the Music Bingo, first time playing this, it’s great.

A menu with lots of variety. Pad Thai and Grilled Lemon & Coconut Chicken. Presentation lacking on both. Pad Thai noodle quantity highly out weighed chicken & veges. Tasty enough. Heavy thick sauce on chicken excluded being able to taste & enjoy lemon and coconut flavour. Chicken was juicy and well flavoured. Great side veges.

The fish curry was absolutely amazing. We all love our authentic curries and this one was top notch, the only down side was, we had chosen to eat outside, as less noisy, and we were catching up with old friends, but the downlights are SO bright, and unable to be dimmed down, their was zero chance of an ambiance.....

Our first time at the Rainbow beach club and we are big club goers all around Australia. The club was bustling with people of all ages having a great family night out. My partner and I were there for a romantic dinner so we were seated in a alcove for a little privacy but still part of the great energy of the night. We shared a tasty pizza at a good price and still had some to take home. Played a little keno , listened to live music and had a few drinks. Next time id like to play a game or two of pool and even might book a barefoot bowl. I am looking forward to going to the club again and trying the steak. The staff were so attentive and happy to do anything to help. Looking forward to Bingo next .

Awesome place to go out in rainbow. Would be nice if the dance floor wasn’t so bright so we can dance. Turn the lights down 🙏 Pool tables shouldn’t be on show in front of the tvs. Bowls green and food is good. Courtesy bus always ready to go

We always enjoy visiting this club, very friendly staff and great meals. Update 19/10/25 We had the Aussie style Fish & Chips today. Wow what a fantastic meal, huge portions of Barramundi beautifully cooked. Keep up the good work.

Ordered martinis and the glasses were only half full so waste of money there and over an hr wait for food it was cold and gross, steak was wellllllll overcooked, the mushroom sauce does not taste like mushroom sauce. Not impressed at all cant even say the basic pub meal were any good. I wont be coming back

A sports bar located in rainbow beach. If you are looking for a place to drink till late night this will be the place that you are looking for. There was live music when I went, the music was good. The vibes are great, pool table in the bar, that you can play pool while drinking there. The staff are friendly. Overall it's a good place to spend the night

We were hungry and decided to order delivery from Rainbow Beach Pizza. Initially, we were informed that it would take approximately 45 minutes, but surprisingly, the food arrived at our doorstep in just 15 minutes. Our order included a supreme pizza, one with olives and anchovies, and a meat lovers pizza without cheese for the picky eater among us. The quality of the supreme pizza was neither exceptional nor disappointing; it met our expectations perfectly.
What can I say? The food was just great. Incredibly! The crew was nice and the pizzeria was clean and cute. Ordered two days in a row at this pizzeria, because the first day it tasted great. The second day, well the reviews from the other restaurants were not great... and I wanted to try some more of the menu. The portions are huge! The chips are crispy and you really should try the sticky date pudding! 😍🤤

I ordered some pizzas, and the best part was the box, which luckily isn't eaten. It's the first time I've bought pizza, and I practically threw it away. I had heartburn all night after half a slice. Despite it was precooked pizza base.

Happy to say I am a regular customer, food is always as reviewed 5 star fresh ingredients , generous toppings and bases made fresh daily combine this and what you have is a high quality product not to mention the ribs and pastas to die for The shop is immaculate and a credit to the owner I have noted a review pertaining to offensive behaviour from a staff member this could honestly not be further from the truth all counter staff are friendly efficient and always happy to go above and beyond for customers I would note that the above is not so prevalent in society today and generally in customer service so bravo to these guys for keeping it real So in summing up I would suggest that anyone in Rainbow Beach would rate these guys as highly as me because they continue to support the community over many years and constantly provide a valuable high quality business with exceptional service Long live Rainbow Beach Pizza

Ordered a super supreme. No pepperoni, chorizo or fresh basil so that was annoying. Taste was good but quite soggy. 40 minute wait was also painful. Chips were really good and decent customer service. Will give them another go next time.
Claire M — Google review
Really did not enjoy the food from here at all! The base was far too hard, very minimal toppings and VERY expensive - $40 for just one pizza and a small garlic bread. I swapped out one ingredient on my pizza for a similar ingredient and was charged $3 for just this. I wasn't told about this either, until it was too late and I had paid!! The person serving was not very pleasant at all, very rude and tried to be 'jokey' but was far more offensive than jokey. The food caused me a lot of bloating and stomach problems as well. Definitely wouldn't recommend, very disappointed!

Stayed in Rainbow Beach about a month ago so decided a pizza 1st night ,,, ordered a supreme which was full of flavour and a lovely base which wasn’t overly thick , just right with a little crisp , 2nd night was keen to try my favourite “ BBQ ribs “ well they came with chips that were crispy and side salad ,, and plenty of BBQ sauce , gotta say they were awesome 🤩 whilst my wife had a pasta which she thoroughly enjoyed, couldn’t quite eat it all so enjoyed a lunch the next day 😋 3rd night was at a local club and we thought about a 3rd night at Rainbow Beach Pizza but decided to eat from the club 😩 that was our mistake ,,, we both agreed we should have gone back and had 3 great meals in a row ,,, looking forward to going back when I’m up there next for more pizza and definitely ribs ,,,, 😋

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Searys Creek. Not quite as popular as Carlo Sand Blow, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 2 hours.

Cooloola Great Walk

4.6
(72)
Hiking area
The Cooloola Great Walk is a 102-kilometer trail that connects Noosa North Shore and Rainbow Beach, offering diverse landscapes such as woodlands, sand dunes, and heath. Along the way, hikers can explore natural attractions like Carlo Sand Blow, Coloured Sands, Double Island Point, and Lake Poona. This multi-day hiking experience takes around 5 days and 4 nights to complete with daily distances ranging from 15 to 21 kilometers.
The Cooloola Great Walk is an excellent multi-day hiking experience, over 5 days and 4 nights, traversing the coastline between Noosa North Shore and Rainbow Beach. Daily distances range from 15 to 21 kilometres, across open beach and sand patches, through dense gum and rain forests, along flats, and up and down mountains, through glorious sunshine and/or coastal showers. And all the while, you carry everything you need on your back - tent, sleeping gear, clothing, food, cooking equipment - and toilet paper. Each night you camp at designated camp sites, featuring a drop toilet and rainwater tank to top up the water bottles, with the 8 individual tent sites spread out so you have privacy from anyone else who may share the trail with you. Aside from the purchase of any hiking equipment you may need (our ultrajet stove, dehydrated meals and self-inflating camping pillows were worth their weight in gold), the Cooloola Great Walk is very inexpensive to do - you book your 4 campsites on the Queensland Parks site at around $7 per person per night, and pay $1 for the Tewantin ferry to get across the Noosa river. For my wife and I, total cost was $58. Some tips, my opinion only. 1. Do the Walk from Noosa to Rainbow, rather than vice versa. Some say heading south is easier (more descents than ascents), but I recommend heading north to avoid the environmental 'culture shock' factor. Heading north, you leave the hustle and bustle of the Sunshine Coast, walk for 5 days through glorious, beautiful wilderness, and emerge onto the stunning Carlo Sandblow, then descending into wonderful, relatively quiet little Rainbow Beach township, right on the beach. Heading south, you finish the track at Noosa North Shore, have to hike the last 2.4 kilometres down the sealed road to the ferry, and find yourself in busy suburbia. 2. Bring good rain gear and plenty of garbage bags to protect gear from the wet, or hold wet gear. The climate is very good, but you need to be prepared for rain. And if things get wet, there isn't much time at the start and end of the day to dry it, particularly in the shady campsites provided. 3. Test out those hiking shoes and your pack with long full weight practice walks beforehand. Over 6-7 hours, with 12-20 kilograms of extra load, those apparently comfy hiking boots will show their true colours, and that pack will show its real strength and fit. 4. Bring strapping tape, bandaids, etc for blister and pack-rub repair. And watch out for leeches at Kauri campsite. 5. Remember that 'bush distances' are longer than normal ones. You tend to average about 3km per hour under full load over the varied terrain, so it takes a long time to get anywhere. 6. Enjoy yourself, rain, hail or shine - it's all part of the adventure. And don't forget to look up and around you at nature's beauty.

A very famous trail from mission beach to noosa. It is about 80++KM one way not return. Please bring sufficient water when doing the trail and perhaps powerbank. If you take a short walk you will reach the Carlo sandblow first which is only takes you 20mins walking distance. Overall it is a very fun and challenging trail.
Neo — Google review
Only walked as far as the Carlo Sandblow which is worth the shot walk, it's a not suitable for a wheelchair as there are quite a few steps along the walk. The walk continues on the opposite side of the sandblow which we didn't do.

Only walked to the Carlo Sand Blow in the late afternoon. Nice breeze after a hot day. Longer walk currently closed (18 Dec 2020)

The entrance for Carlo Sand Blow. Great viewpoint for the sunset and amazing beach line photos.
Melinda G — Google review
We haven't done the whole Great walk yet but we did visit the Carlo Sandblow for sunset and it absolutely lives up to the amazing reviews we read before we went. The views are epic and the massive sandy landscape is otherworldly. The breeze keeps the mental midges away. Unfortunately no dogs allowed but truly a sight to see if you're in the area.

Easy to get to, short walk from the car park
James — Google review
Beautiful. Really well maintained track through bushland and sand dunes (Carlo Sandblow), easy to follow and track against a map. Suits walkers of all fitness levels, an easy track, no steep climbs or descents. It is very long so you have options of exploring it in small sections if you do not want to go for a few days in a row with overnight camping.

Searys Creek is a charming spot with a pleasant, shady atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing picnic. The area boasts colorful wildflowers and abundant birdlife, creating a picturesque setting. Accessible via a boardwalk, the lovely swimmable tea tree creek is home to catfish and yabbies. The clear waters offer glimpses of small fish and other creatures, making it an ideal spot for swimming and photography. Although the water may be cold, it provides refreshing relief on hot days.
Nice little spot. Water is very clear (though cold), you can see some yabbies and big fish. (fishing and catching of animals prohibited). Easy to walk down the boardwalk to get to the water. There is a small toilet block and picnic table adjacent to the small carpark
Tegan G — Google review
Charming little spot. Nice for a swim, the water has nice colours for photography, and is clear enough that you can easily watch the big fish swim around.
Kinga K — Google review
Lovely pristine waters. Inhabited by plenty of locals, especially the eels, not a fan of those. The swimming hole pictured at least you could see Mr Eel coming from a long way. Hard to get into the water for a not very nimble person.
Kat S — Google review
A great place for swimming with refreshing and clear water. You can find small fish and other creatures in this area and it has pathways which can be explored. It's also great for taking pictures.

Short & easy stroll to the creek. Picturesque! Can imagine it being a popular spot in summer.

Peaceful nice little creek and swimming hole. Watch out for the eels! They just want to say hello
Dan M — Google review
The google maps location for this spot is incorrect. If you want to access the Seary Creek Day Use Area stay on the main road until you see a sign. Do not use the fire break trail, as suggested by google maps, to get to searys creek day use area. Searys Creek day use area is a beautiful boardwalk to a lovely swimmable tea tree creek with cat fish and yabbies.

Fish & chips restaurant
Ocean Breeze Seafoods offers exceptional customer service, as patrons are warmly greeted and provided with recommendations by the staff. The fish served is superb, with a delightful freshness and a perfectly crunchy batter. Additionally, the crumbed fish is absolutely fabulous. The chips are not greasy but rather cooked to perfection. Diners can enjoy their meal while sitting on bar-style seating outside, where they will experience the same pleasantness from the staff that all customers receive upon entering the shop.
Is the best fish and chip experience I’ve had in my entire life couple fish and chip shop on the way into rainbow Beach some of the loveliest fish and chip shop owners I’ve ever met. We had snapper chips and ginger beer and change your order whether it be crumbed whatever fish or crab stick you one is amazing Caribbean influence Yum so good chicken salt as well and we got to meet Rusty the dog which was added bonus lots of love thank you want to go to Jamaica
Zia S — Google review
Honestly we wouldn’t rate this fish and chip store at all. Go to the other fish and chip place. They are just ripping off tourists. This cost us $49. 2 serves of fish and chips, 6 fish bites and 3 burnt pineapple fritters. The fish was thin, overcooked and greasy as all hell. They basic only had cod and therefore couldn’t do the meal deals. Then whilst we were waiting the male owner and I presume his wife were bagging out the other fish and chip store in front of several customers saying how bad they have become yet in my opinion they are no better. Very unprofessional. Also, it’s illegal to on sell Woolworths brand drinks without their permission and considering you are not part of a Woolworths chain or their service stations then it’s highly likely you do NOT have permission. This place just screamed dodgy.

We came in quite late and the owners were incredibly nice. The food was self-made and delicious! The nice Lady took the time to converse with us and gave us free cake and wisdom 🤓 Thank You!

Poor service, lady was lovely but the man was so rude. Chips were undercooked & fish super greasy with batter literally falling off. So oily it actually made me feel sick afterwards. Waste of money.

I only had chips nice . I want to send a big thanks to the gentleman who works here an the laundry mat next door . I put by accident $2 coins instead of $1 coins in a machine a week ago . He not only walked over to where my caravan was an delivered my food he also told the owner about my $4 loss an bought the money as well. Very kind person , give him more money . Thanks pal

Absolutely amazing takeaway food! We had two delicious fish burgers and fries with homemade barbecue and tartare sauces. The portion of fish in the burger was generous, tasty and fresh. Service was fast and friendly, the owner takes pride in his shop and it shows in the quality. And price was very reasonable considering what we got. We’ll be back soon and highly recommend to anyone.
Rémi L — Google review
Best fish we’ve ever had from a fish’n’chips shop! We had freshly caught snapper by the owner, cooked perfectly. Beautiful potato scallops and chippies! First time at this place. New customers get freshly baked cakes! Oh yum!
Deb E — Google review
Was hesitant to visit here after reading previous reviews, however the shop is under new management so thought we would give it a go and I am glad we did. The new owners are friendly and welcoming. Great fish and chips, the battered oysters were a good size. Prices are a bit high. Good range of seafood to available to purchase as well. Fast service too.
