Beauvoir in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Beauvoir, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Beauvoir is a small village in Normandy best known as one of the closest bases to Mont‑Saint‑Michel, with direct access to the causeway and frequent shuttle connections. It offers views of the bay and the abbey from flat surrounding countryside, popular with walkers and cyclists. Visitors will find a modest selection of hotels, campsites, and restaurants geared to travelers heading to or from Mont‑Saint‑Michel. Its location also makes it a practical starting point for exploring the broader Norman coast and nearby towns like Pontorson.
With favorites like L'Ermitage Mont Saint Michel, Alligator Bay, and Logis Tiphaine, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Restaurant La Confiance and La Cloche so you can get the best taste of Beauvoir while you’re here. Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey

4.7
(13876)
Abbey
Church of Christ
The Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel is a stunning example of Gothic architecture, with its towering spires reaching 155 meters above sea level. The 'La Merveille' section is a remarkable display of medieval artistry, and the challenges of transporting building materials across the Bay of Saint-Michel make its construction even more impressive. Separate tickets are required for visiting the island, with adult admission priced at $10 and free entry available for EU citizens or French residents under 25.
Wonderful place! The architecture is amazing and impressive. Visiting it is worth every penny. You’ll pay €20 for 3 hours of parking – that sounds like a lot, but it includes a shuttle bus to the island (there and back) and the entrance fee. Prices in the village itself are nearly double compared to the rest of the area – for example, a fridge magnet usually costs up to €4, but here it’s almost €8. As for the visit, make sure to plan at least 4 hours if you want to go all the way to the top. There are a loooot of stairs!

A dream come true experience. The Abby is worth going for the first time, personally won’t go inside again, too narrow and small, had to wait at many stops because of the crowds. The outside view is much more impressive, especially from the cross path bridge. Take a walk on the sandbank is a cool experience as well. No wonder this is the second most visited attractions in France. Half day is enough though.
Robbin S — Google review
Even after finalising the itinerary, I always keep one or two days extra whenever I visit any place. Because you may 'discover' something interesting later that you may want to visit 😎. Mont Saint Michael was one such place that I 'discovered' when I was in Paris. The visit to the Mont took the whole day (12 hours), but it was worth it. 😊 I had booked the day tour with the 'Paris City Vision' tour company. And everything about this Fairytale Castle on a tidal, magical, holy island turned out to be awesome.....a perfect blend of natural and man made beauty. From the car parking area, which was about 2.5 km from the walkway bridge to the Castle, shuttle buses were available, although you can walk all the way if you want. Carrying an umbrella did help ☂️ as it was hot and sunny. During the French Revolution, the Castle was nationalized, and monks who had settled here as early as 966 CE were expelled. The Castle also served as a prison for some time. However, after the celebration of 1000 years of its foundation, some monks again moved in and started residing in the Castle. So there does exist a very small French commune here; with a mayor, priest, postman, and police ! The bay of Mont Saint Michael, covering an area of about 500 square km, boasts of the highest tides in Europe, and those who want to experience the tides can plan their visits accordingly. Be prepared to climb lots of stairs. The steep winding street of the Castle is lined with many shops and restaurants, so don't forget to taste the classic Mere Poulard omelet here 😋.
Vinod L — Google review
Legendary & Iconic Cathedral This is a must visit for all history & or Architectural fans. This place is very unique in the world and is a must see site. It is not so difficult to get too but of course you have to check the timing of the tides, etc. Once you are here expect to climb a bit. Specially if you want to visit the church. This place is beautiful and is one of the highlight of your visit to France. Try too the local food is is absolutely fabulous!
Paul V — Google review
Very beautiful. We arrived around 9.30 in the morning, the crowds were very manageable and we could see plenty of the Abbey. Past noon it started to get noticeably busier, but by that time we were done anyways and went home. Yes it is busy. Yes it is beautiful. Yes it is a must-see.
Maarten E — Google review
Nice and beautiful castle . Good time to enjoy with friends and family . Time to spent for 4 hours. Lot of hotels are near by there. Only prob is direct connectivity . If you go with tourism it should be much better.
Vignesh 4 — Google review
A place of incredible beauty and impressive architecture. The overcrowding and the prices of the restaurants are worth mentioning. The shuttle service to the mountain is smooth and free. It's recommended to purchase tickets online to avoid lines, and wear comfortable shoes to climb the many stairs.
Rafael C — Google review
The must to see cathedral at the top of the mont. Get ready for the steps to reach it! I suggest 2 things: - buy the tickets in advance at the visitor center (you will skip the line) - buy an audio guide to understand what you are visiting (no written explanation)

Mont Saint-Michel

Mont Saint-Michel is a picturesque tidal island and mainland commune in Normandy, France. Situated about one kilometer off the north-western coast, it covers 7 hectares and is located at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches. The island offers a variety of dining options, with restaurants mainly found on or just off Grande Rue. However, hidden gems tucked away on back streets or higher up the mountain may offer lower prices and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Cloître de l'abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel

4.7
(237)
Historical landmark
The Cloître de l'abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel, built between 1225-1228, served a purely spiritual purpose to guide monks in meditation. The fine limestone sculptures are a highlight, but visitors are urged not to touch them. Three arches of the west gallery open to the sea and were meant to be an entrance to the chapter house. Major restoration work was done in 2017, including lowering the galleries' floor to its original level.
A beautiful little garden courtyard in the heart of the Abbaye. Very intricate stonework carvings the edges and vies both up to the spire of the abbey. We were lucky to be there when the sun was streaming down on the courtyard and the flowers were in full bloom.

Beautiful and worth the visit but very very busy, lots of steps, little shade on hot days.
Hayley E — Google review
My wife and I visited Mont-Saint-Michel on May 30, 2025, with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and, at times, felt unsafe. The entire island was dangerously overcrowded – especially the access routes and the surroundings of the abbey. Getting onto the island meant pushing through massive crowds, and entering the abbey was already chaotic. While the interior of the abbey itself was relatively calm, the situation when leaving the site was unacceptable: it took us around 90 minutes to get out. We felt unsafe and had the impression that there was no clear control of the number of visitors or how to manage such crowds. Out of concern for our safety, we gave up our guided tour and left early. I contacted the site administration afterward but never received a response. We sincerely hope that the responsible authorities revise their crowd management and safety measures. Until then, we cannot recommend visiting.
Frank S — Google review
This is included as part of the tour and admission ticket to visit the Abbey at the top of Mont St Michael. Beautiful cloisters and we had good weather so the sunlight really highlighted the stonework. At one point, you can get great views of the landscape outside. Absolutely advise paying to visit this part of the Mont as beautiful architecture.
Elizabeth B — Google review
In order to gain access to the Catholic Abbey areas, you must buy a ticket on site or online. The steps and walk up to the Abbey are free. Go in the main entrance if you are not conned into taking a local guide. The structure is very easily walked and toured without a local guide. Once inside, if you wonder from the trail of visitors, you will find items you do not expect. A true French experience, the design and medival architecture will amaze you and confuse you at the same time. Easy to see how this location was a prison long ago .......and may still be a prison now to those who make their living here conning and interacting with Catholic pilgrimage visitors and non-catholic tourists. If you love religion.... and botany.... and history you will feel "at home" here.

À place to visit , a must if you come in France . Le mont saint Michelle with tha habbey that look the sea around , the village with old houses with wood on the facarde is a unique place .
Ilaria B — Google review
So worth the views and the history. A lot of steps so be mindful if you can’t do steps. Would recommend paying for a ticket in advance, as there was some mis communications with the staff as one said we was free as we are 25 but one said we had to pay. But no problem as we was happy to pay the £15 each. The view as are amazing from each location too 🏰 Worth it!
Andrew K — Google review
Pretty amazing and really worth a visit if you want to turn back time and go back to medieval times (at least as far as the monumental buildings and little narrow streets go, not the amount of tourists). The place was packed with people that this place could barely take - just proves how popular it is and how worth a visit. We were with two young kids so opted for a shuttle bus (free of charge) from the car park to the Mont Saint Michael. The walk is approx. 45 minutes (surely without kids😜) and the shuttle bus takes approx 10-12 minutes. Visited the Abbey as well and definitely worth it - for the architecture itself). Also there is a treasure hunt for the kids which you can get some information at the tourist office close to the entrance. Although the app definitely needs some work as kept crashing on Apple devices (strange). Very well worth a visit.

Logis Tiphaine is a historical residence that once belonged to Tiphaine de Raguenel, an astrologer and the wife of Bertrand Du Guesclin, a renowned knight from the Hundred Years War. This charming house has attracted visitors due to its fascinating history and unique character.
CGP Grey brought me here and I didn't expect the rating to be as bad as it actually is.

It is a little small and dusty, but it is really cool to be in this house, with such important historical value.
Thomas E — Google review
This is one of these tourist attractions that leave you feeling ripped off. We visited today at a cost of €9 per adult. What we were presented with was three small rooms across three floors (two bedrooms and one living room) containing some furniture and that was that! A little garden at the top of the house as you exited. The rooms were very, very dusty and clearly the house hadn’t been cleaned for some time. It took just a few minutes to see it all. I was furious as the magnificent abbey only cost €11 by comparison. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss, spend your money elsewhere. Overall the visit to Mint St Michel was lovely, the experience with this place left me a little fuming.

Moulin de Moidrey, dating back to 1806 and restored in 2003, is located just 5 km from Mont Saint-Michel. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007, this picturesque windmill offers a unique experience. Visitors can witness the miller producing various flours from black wheat and learn about its internal workings through an informative tour.
This is quite a landmark over the surrounding landscape. There is a carpark but we actually walked from the local village. The windmill was open and inside there is a shop selling flour milled there along with other local produce. Lovely views, including of Mont St Michael and there are information panels too. Free to visit.

Great example and well maintained by a very knowledgeable chap. Flour for sale along with other items and refreshments.

It was built in 1806. Near Mont Saint-Michel, the Moidrey mill, was not in operation for a long time and now is restored and working in full operation. there is the possibility of a private tour with the miller lasting 30 minutes. any recommendation to visit according to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey

So close to Mont St Michel, it's worth visiting Moulin de Moidrey, beautiful building, amazing choice of flour, made in the mill. Worth doing the short tour.

What a charming windmill to visit Set in lush fields, on a gentle slope overlooking the landscape and Mt Saint Michel in the far distance.

Although MSM is the highlight in this area, make a detour to this beautiful windmill. The view of the mill turning is nothing short of amazing. You can buy different flours on site for a very reasonable price.

During our trip to normandy Camporee, we stayed in Beauvoir to be able to visit Mont Saint Michael. We were looking for a grocery story in Pontorson when we discovered the Moulin de Moidrey. It looked so beautiful behind a field of yellow flowers. We decided to visit the 1806 mill and discovered its history. It is located 5 km from Mont Saint-Michel, a restoration that was completed in 2003, snd it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. #abuelosmochileros_normandy #normandycamporee2022

Alligator Bay is a popular zoo featuring open-air and indoor enclosures housing a variety of reptiles such as alligators, crocodiles, snakes, lizards, and giant tortoises. With over 200 alligators and crocodiles on display throughout the park, it's a haven for reptile enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy watching the animals being fed and explore the creative displays. The facility offers amenities like eating areas and restrooms to ensure a comfortable visit.
Great place to visit, such a pleasant place with so many different animals and the workers take real good care of it and work hard to keep it clean
Debora M — Google review
If you are passing by and like reptiles, I think it is worth going, especially if you have small children as they usually like to see them up close. The place is small and quick to see. From what I can see, the animals are well cared for and there is a relatively adequate space for them. Perhaps if it could have a slightly larger space it would be better in my opinion. There is a small but good and pleasant playground for small children. For those who like shops, there is one at the exit.
Luciana C — Google review
Alligator Bay near Mont Saint-Michel is widely regarded as an excellent reptile-focused zoo, particularly popular with families and reptile enthusiasts. It features a diverse array of reptiles, including a large collection of alligators and crocodiles, rare Mississippi albino alligators, numerous turtles and tortoises, snakes, and lizards. Key highlights: The park is divided into thematic zones: alligators, tortoises/turtles, the "Labyrinth of Dragons" (snakes, lizards), and a dinosaur section. Visitors consistently mention how impressive and well-kept the animal enclosures are, with special praise for the spacious areas and attentive animal caretakers. The experience is very interactive, offering opportunities to touch giant tortoises, observe feeding times, and explore child-friendly exhibits and playgrounds. The park is clean and safety is well managed, which reassures visitors, especially families. Most reviews praise the park as good value for money, though a few mention it is a bit expensive for the duration of the visit. The visit typically lasts about 2–3 hours, making it an ideal activity for a half-day, particularly in poor weather. Staff are often described as welcoming, but a minority of visitors have noted less positive interactions at reception or in the shop. The only consistent criticisms are related to occasional unpleasant smells near reptile areas and the "dinosaur section" being underwhelming compared to other parts of the park. Free parking and accessible ticket pricing further add to its appeal. In summary, Alligator Bay is an engaging, well-run attraction best suited for families and anyone with a curiosity for reptiles. While not a full-day destination, it remains highly recommended, particularly as a stop when visiting Mont Saint-Michel. I personally would highly recommend it to anyone in the area or close by.

An unexpectedly successful visit full of surprises, including the chance to pet a turtle and spend some time with it. For kids, it was a fantastic three hours—and compared to the aquarium in Brest, it was 200% better. Crocodiles, alligators, snakes, lizards...
Tomas O — Google review
Alligator bay is a zoo near to Mont Saint - Michel around 5 minutes drive. It has a lot of reptiles like crocodiles, snakes, turtles, lizards, basically a zoo that specialized in the reptiles. If you are a big fan of reptiles, this is a heaven for you! you can even see reptiles from Sumatra which is where i am originally from, very interesting! definitely a recommended place to visit, the price of the ticket is also reasonable. For tickets, usually on weekdays, it should be fine to do walk-in but during the holiday season, perhaps ordering online might be a great idea!

Hotel La Mère Poulard is a 19th-century hotel located near the main entrance of Mont Saint-Michel. The hotel offers simple rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi. One of the island's most renowned establishments, it is famous for its incredibly fluffy omelettes, which are considered some of the best in the world. If you wish to dine at this iconic restaurant, it's advisable to make a reservation in advance due to its popularity and long waiting times.
We stayed here for 1 night recently and booked a mother poulard suite. The room itself was very spacious and modern, with good modern bathroom and shower. There are 3 heaters in the rooms which we found useful as it was cold in the morning. The breakfast was included and while it was basic, it had everything we wanted for a satisfying start to the day. There was only one server though and he was rushed of his feet doing everything. Considering the amount of work he had to do, the young man did really well and still had a very good attitude. We chose to stay here as we wanted to stay on the island. It was quiet and magical after all the day crowd was gone. I think out of all the accommodations, La Mére Poulard has some more modern rooms available due to renovations. I would recommend staying here if you wanted to stay on the island. However, be mindful tou have to deal with narrow stairs to get to the rooms.

Beautiful. Lovely stay. Sadly, the restaurant was a HUGE disappointment. The reviews/research we did specifically states that royalty and celebrities dined there, however a few black and white photos from 1900's was NOT what we expected. We we so excited to dine here, yet when we arrived, we were told they were closing. Staff was not fluent in English. Still, they accommodated us, with not so happy kitchen staff. We were seated, and now excited!! We we made the trek for the ever famous "omelet" only to find it was $46 dollars!! Sadly, we opted for a lesser meal of chicken, which was average at best. My advice? Save your $$$ and eat before you go to The Mount. We traveled with a group to France...we all picked our yo "must see and do lists". This was my pick, I was super hyped and all of us were hugely disappointed.
Maureen F — Google review
We had relaxed Sunday lunch, restaurant as described, great historical photos on walls of celebrity diners, fresh, interesting cooking, generous portions, omelette definitely deserves iconic status (even if a bit touristy). Staff very friendly and attentive, if going for lunch expect meals to take a while as it gets very busy at lunchtime, so don't expect to rush. Pricing on higher end but reasonable.
James ( — Google review
It is a nice restaurant, there are only a few places on Mont Saint-Michel, so this is a good option. It was busy and had a good atmosphere. The fish was very good. The chicken was dipped in lovely Isigny cream sauce, it was very tasty. The dessert, the Chocolate Mendiant with nougat cream was also really good, albeit a little meager.
Cathal ( — Google review
The omelette was very interesting and unique. Although the dish looks quite large it’s not actually much. There’s some kind of egg-foam under the omelette which makes it fluffy and light. It creates an unusual feeling when you’re eating it but it was pretty good. I haven’t eaten anything like it before. Would definitely recommend!
Doruk U — Google review
It was a pleasure having lunch here with my husband, november 2025. The omelet is only justified by tasting it… it can't be properly explained in words. The pear with ice cream is good. Kellia's kind service was also excellent. Many thanks!

Ate here this evening- great all around! Kellia was incredible. Realized our French was very so-so and happy to speak excellent English, even with a few great jokes! The scallops were excellent as a starter and you can’t miss the omelets or the farmhouse chicken! The place to eat on Mont Saint Michel!

Only referencing the tinned butter cookies purchased at LMP's store during a recent visit. I got taken in by the beautiful tins and assumed they were full of delicious cookies. They were not. There were 4 packages of 4 cookies each (total of 16) bone dry cookies in each tin that were only saved by my tea. Biscotti-level dryness and I hate biscotti. Our guide warned us not to go there as it was a ripoff, but the lure of the tins was too strong. He was right. Get a box of Walker's Shortbread cookies--way better value and taste!

Nestled in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel, Restaurant La Confiance is a charming eatery housed within a historic medieval building. This rustic inn not only offers an inviting atmosphere but also serves up a delightful array of dishes that highlight local flavors. From succulent mussels and hearty steaks to mouthwatering burgers and both savory and sweet crêpes, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
We had such a lovely time by the fireplace! We ordered mussels, beef bourguignon, a glass of white wine from Gascony, and profiteroles for dessert. The whole meal cost 52 euros - enough for two people. We were absolutely delighted! The mussels were especially amazing, served in a rich and creamy sauce. For a touristy spot, it was surprisingly tasty and reasonably priced. Magnifique!

Delicious food with a perfectly fluffy omelette — a must-try in Mont Saint-Michel! The staff were super kind, and service was quick. It’s also pet-friendly, which we really appreciated. One of the staff members, a lovely woman, even took a moment to pet our dog — such a sweet gesture. Thank you for the warm welcome!

During our visit to Mont Saint-Michel, we stopped for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. The location was ideal—perfectly situated for easy access while exploring the area. Although the start was a bit chaotic, the staff quickly made us feel at ease with their attentive and friendly service. We ordered the beef bourguignon, which was rich, flavorful, and beautifully cooked. The glass of house red wine complemented the dish perfectly, and the desserts were absolutely fantastic—a perfect end to a memorable trip and meal. A la prochaine

Mont-Saint-Michel is known for its masses of tourists. You would expect that every business on this little island just wants to process as much customers as possible, so there would be little to no time for actual hospitality. La Confiance near the entrance of the island showed us real hospitality: a friendly and warm atmosphere in combination with authentic French cuisine and superb service made this charming restaurant the perfect place to end our busy day with a fine and relaxing dinner. Especially the baked Normandy apple was a dessert that truly tasted like dessert at your grandmother's house: made with lots of love, care and warmth. Our visit at this restaurant has been the perfect conclusion to a fantastic day at Mont-Saint-Michel! Merci beaucoup to everyone working there who made this stay truly special!

From the very first moment, the staff did everything possible to make us not feel welcome. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were waiting outside the restaurant. One couple tried to enter at 6:29 but were sent back out. At 6:32 we were still not allowed inside, even though it was freezing. When we were finally let in, the waiter did his job, but made it very clear how unpleasant the situation was for him. Not once during the entire dinner did he smile or use polite words. That said, everything was carried out correctly. To be fair, his behavior might be explained by the fact that he was almost alone serving all the tables in the restaurant. There were two young women also taking orders, but you could see that the male waiter was not kind to them either – they seemed like “bad children” just trying their best. As for the food: the first courses (tartlet and terrine) were supermarket level at best. But the main courses were really delicious – authentic, homemade flavors that saved the experience. It is sad that in these touristic places you always get the feeling that you are just a one-time money cow.

Creperie
French restaurant
Nestled in Mont Saint Michel, Creperie La Cloche is a charming and cozy restaurant known for its warm hospitality and delicious crepes. Locals and tourists alike frequent this spot to savor a wide variety of mouthwatering crepes paired with the finest local cider and homemade ice cream. Despite its small size, the restaurant's generous portions and delectable menu offerings make it a must-visit dining destination.
Very nice lunch we had in Mont Saint Michel! For only 10euros each we had a menu with gallette (salty crêpe) + sweet crêpe + cold drink. You can choose the ingredients of the salty crêpe and the sweet one is with sugar (like the proper french one). The chef was very gentle and patient. The guys at the tills they didn't consider us too much at the beginning cause the shop was quiet full and they didn't pay attention to what we were asking. But I'm still giving full stars 🌟 cause it was really delicious! We did take away!

Crepe was served fast, everything was as expected. Nothing special and nothing bad.

Went there for lunch. Egg and cheese crepe had almost no flavor. “Nutella” crepe was chocolate syrup (not Nutella)—I’d bet money on it. Arrive on thigh initially folding we were eating to go upstairs but since we ordered sweet thing to go downstairs…. Alas I know food options are quite limited in the actual island.

The rudest service I’ve ever experienced in a café or restaurant anywhere in the world. The food was nothing special either. We bought wraps, ice cream, and coffee, but were yelled at and told we weren’t even allowed to wait for a seat inside to sit and eat. We ended up standing at the corner of the street, balancing everything in our hands and placing the ice cream on a windowsill just to manage. If you want to enjoy your vacation without ruining your mood, do yourself a favor and choose another place to eat.

Very small and very busy. But.. The staff was friendly and did their utmost to serve us in a reasonable time. 🤗 The savoury crêpe we had is highly recommended, the bacon, onions, cheese.
Rob S — Google review
Unfriendly, rude, slow staff who seem tired of tourists. The crêpes are handed to you wrapped in paper rather than on a plate giving the place a vibe more of a fast-food joint than a crêperie. The crêpe itself is rather average and absolutely the same whether ordered as a sweet crêpe or a salted galette. If we knew, we would have gone elsewhere :(

Totally recommend! Very friendly service, food was excellent! We got the super-complet menu gallete with local beer and the sweet normand crepe. The place is right in the middle of the caothic main street but we sit on the second floor with no waiting time and it was very pleasent.

I think that our waiter was a ninja! He was fun, fast with a good sense of humor. The food was good and the prices low, knowing that the Mont Saint Michel is full of tourist traps. There's no clim upstairs but it's bearable in the summertime.

L'Antre Terre et Baie is a delightful dining spot that promises an unforgettable experience, especially after a day of exploring Mont Saint Michel. The warm ambiance and friendly staff create the perfect setting for enjoying delicious meals. Guests rave about the spectacular food, with highlights including must-try mussels and fresh salmon that leave a lasting impression.
Great experience. We arrived at dinner to be greeted with amazing service. Our waitress was amazing to allow me to practice my French and help me along. The food was spectacular. The mussels are a must try! The veggie dinner option was like a veggie burger/steak. My husband enjoyed it tremendously. I had the salmon and it was by far the best I’ve had in years as we travel. It was fresh and well flavored. The apple dessert and rice pudding were the perfect end to an amazing culinary experience. Would visit mont Saint michel again just for this place. Thank you!

You must go if only for the view and the easy on ramp to the walking path! As for food, we loved our appetizers (grilled oysters and egg). We ordered lamb chops and the lamb medallion, and the chops were significantly better than the medallions which were really dry. If we spoke any French we might have tried to send it back.

Came here to breakfast after seeing service hours posted in Google, but it was not open until 12pm. Came back at 12pm and was quickly seated and served. Menu is limited and no mussels as it is not in season. Ordered lamb shoulder, beef steak, creme brulee, and riz au lait, all are practically good but nothing fancy. View is fantastic overlooking the Mont.

Our food was just OK. The seafood was above average. I like my lamb on the rare side, but this lamb was very, very rare, and its sauce was a bit too salty. The kids meal is exceedingly small. Service was great though. Everyone was friendly and attentive.

Amazing place to have dinner. We ordered the royal seafood platter and I have no words, delicious! Great atmosphere with a stunning view to the castle. Don’t miss out on the apple cooked in Normandy, great dessert

With a panoramique view of the Mt St Michel it is a great spot for a more "fancy" bite. The food was delicious, amuse-bouche and entremets were served between dishes. I had the Moules Marinières, hubby tried the Lamb Burger (absolutely amazing! Though I would call it a pulled lamb sandwich more than a burger).

Stunning view of Mont St Michel. The food was decent and the service was fine. Friendly servers. Would recommend eating here rather than in Mont St Michel. Lovely walking path next to the river heading to Mont St Michel

Visited at lunch time, 3 adults, we all ordered the same, 3 burgers. Worst burger I ever had in my life. We could not eat them and just ate the chips. Do not recommend.

Hotel
L'Ermitage Mont Saint Michel is a luxurious five-star hotel located just four kilometers west of the renowned Mont Saint-Michel. The hotel, housed in a former coaching inn, offers six sophisticated suites with elegant neutral decor and private balconies. La Table, the hotel's refined restaurant, serves traditional French dishes made with local ingredients such as foie gras and fresh oysters from the bay.
What a lovely surprise when my friend booked rooms at this jewel box of a hotel! We only stayed one night, but that was enough to experience the luxe and very comfortable "superior suite" and it's coziness and bath tub (relaxing!). The owners were very kind and attentive. We were there in the off season, and the only guests in the hotel that night. It was nice to have some local cakes, treats, and bottled drinks in the room when we arrived. Our dinner was delicious....especially the sauce the chef (also the owner) prepared for the steak. I didn't quite catch what was in it, but I could have eaten it with a ladle! And the desserts were definitely 5 stars. It's across the street from a huge caramel/candy/souvenir shop, which was fine by me. I loaded up on gifts to bring home. A short drive to Mont St Michel, where we caught the shuttle bus and enjoyed that site. Sidenote: My suite had a big bed and a pull out couch, and my photos show the couch pulled out. My friend ended up deciding to get her own room for the night right across the hall, so that couch folded right back up.

This fine hotel stands out in a sea of other establishments. The facility is tastefully decorated and exceptionally well kept. The beds (possibly Tempur-Pedic) were very comfortable and a special note of appreciation for the highest quality firm, feather pillows--a real difference maker when it comes to a good night of sleep. They have a lovely, well lit bar that oozes ambiance. The dinner was exceptional with a reasonably priced wine list and an obscene (in a good way) cheese offering of Normandy's best. Dessert sounded good but after the cheese was not possible. The concierge, Jean-Marc, can make any wish you may have come true. He also offers personal guide services throughout Normandy and is incredibly knowledgeable on all French/Norman/Brittany history.

This is truly a luxury hotel and a total experience for our family. We were here for two nights to see the abbey and we were fortunate enough to be able to stay here. Our rooms were large (dated but comfy and with a terrace) and the guest experience was a 10! From. He kin to checkout we were catered to and barely had to ask for anything and we had it. Werner is amazing as is the Concierge. The restaurant food at night was phenomenal!!! I hope we are able to return one day because this is an incredible small but luxurious hotel.

This is NOT a 5 Star Hotel by any means. No pool , no spa , certainly not 24/7 services available , poor internet all with a 5 star price tag . Room’s are clean , staff friendly , but it lacks in storage space and has 7 rooms to choose from so is quiet which is great . Breakfast is a buffet but you have to ask for most basics , there are croissant and with the option of chocolate one but this is France what about the rest if you’re charging 5 Star and claiming to be 5 Star ? Bacon we asked for and it was available the following day . Omelette plain only until we again said we want added onion etc but the following day . The restaurant is highly priced food was average in our view. We found plenty of other place s to eat out that were great and a fraction of the cost.

First of all, this is not a five star hotel by any measure. The hotel is tiny, barely has any staff on service at any given time, no spa, no pool, no gym, the air conditioning is a not a real air conditioning. We took a suite and the bedroom was not air conditioned, in the middle of the summer?! For 1000€ we expected something totally different. As we told the staff about the bedroom not having AC we were told that we are wrong, and the hotel owner was incredibly rude, he shouted so loud at us, that our toddler started crying. I seriously recommend finding a different hotel.

Amazing service, location is close to mont saint Michel (but not too close: you’ll need them to drop you off to the shuttle and then jump on the crowded -but clean- shuttle). The room is beautiful (we got the duplex) but not too stylish (I know I’m being very picky, but that’s what you end up being when you travel all your life).

I asked for rare steak and they did not disappoint! Service was amazing and the food was delightful! Thank you for living up to the hype!
Paully D — Google review
Best hotel experience of my lifeeeeeee! It really has that small town bed and breakfast feel, but in the fanciest way. The staff knew us and were incredibly helpful and friendly the entire time. It’s like they could read our minds with their service, they provided every dish and every amenity we could want before we even could ask for it! The food is to die for (so much better than the options we tried on Mont St Michel) and we were blown away with everything we tried here. I absolutely would come back again. My only complaint is that now they’ve ruined all other hotels for me because nothing else compares!
