Shopping mall
Shopping
La Croisette is a vast shopping center with a luxurious atmosphere that boasts an abundance of stores for an enjoyable shopping experience. The mall features modern architecture and abundant natural light. It is spacious and inviting, making it ideal for relaxation and socializing. Children will appreciate the dedicated play areas provided within the mall, while two supermarkets - one of which is Intermart, the largest - ensure convenience when grocery shopping.
Nice mall with nice vibe. The shops mix is good. Hyper market and food court in the location
Yousef A — Google review
La Croisette is a decent shopping centre, but it’s not very family-friendly. There isn’t much for kids to do, which can make visits challenging for families. The prices across stores are quite high, and the shopping options are dominated by clothing stores, leaving little variety. However, the food court is a highlight, offering a good selection of eateries with a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit if you’re focused on shopping or dining, but it could benefit from more affordable options and activities for children.
Annalize — Google review
Nice mall with great variety of foods to chose from in the big food court. Tables are very clean and you can never see a fly near you as it smells good every where you go and there are fans so you are never sweating. But overall it is very pleasant to walk around and many activities are available to do.
Naisha A — Google review
Not lots to do, food court great variety to choose from. Mostly for tourists again. Was convenient to get to from where we stayed in the North. Taxi and busses available all the time. Spacious mall.
Venothan M — Google review
It's a really big mall with a lot of shops. It is capable of giving a good shopping experience. The architecture of the mall is nice and cool. It has a modern touch. The mall is very spacious so it's a good place to hangout and relax. There is a wide area for kids to play so they are going to love this place. There are two supermarkets in the mall in which Intermart is the biggest i think. There are some restaurants and a food court which cook different varieties of foods of different countries! There is a theatre also in the mall. Parking is available.
Arya — Google review
Our favourite shopping/eating out place to visit during our holiday 🇲🇺 Has a very open feel to it and a lovely vibe. Also has a selection of stores as well as a well sized food court (majority of eateries are halal 😄)! Also has a cinema and plenty of parking. The Intermart is worthwhile shopping at if you are on holiday to get all your drinks and snacks at a very decent price.
Mohbeen D — Google review
Though there are lots of people during the weekend since it's school holidays, still Love the vibes and restos!! Nice place for family time, chillax with friends or do shopping. You can check out the animal shop there. They have puppies to adopt from time to time. The garden is so cool. Always renovating and well maintained!
Kritika S — Google review
Really nice shopping Mall good selection of shops to choose from plus plenty of places to have a snack if required 😋 would recommend a visit and see for yourself

Hypermarket
Supermarket
Super U Grand Bay is a fantastic shopping destination located in the bustling heart of Grand Baie, Mauritius. This spacious supermarket offers an impressive selection of products, from groceries to clothing and even tech supplies, making it a one-stop shop for all your needs. While some shoppers have experienced delays with membership cards, the friendly staff are always ready to assist you during your visit.
This is one of the best supermarkets in Mauritius, especially in the north. Surrounded by expats and tourists, it offers a huge variety of products — even things you won’t find in other supermarkets here. There’s a full aisle just for different types of water, which shows how diverse the selection is. I’m not sure if it’s more expensive than others, but it’s definitely not the cheapest. That said, the overall experience is great. The place feels safe and clean, with shops on both floors and even a small park where kids can play. Best of all, there’s always free parking available and plenty of space, so no hassle at all. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors!
Dr C — Google review
Very large supermarket, with an extensive range of supplies and other household sundries . Only major concern is the queuing time at checkouts . One basket of shopping took just over 45 minutes to reach the checkout assistant.
John C — Google review
You can buy many daily necessities here at reasonable prices. 👍 The queues are disorganized, but luckily there are automatic cash registers! Toilets need to be cleaned more😔
SOFIA C — Google review
Our favourite supermarket brand in Mauritius. Very big and with lot of stock. Prices are average and they have quite a lot of offers. Great to buy souvenirs like rum, sugar, tea or vanilla pods and much cheaper than any souvenir shop. Big free parking lot and long opening hours.
Inmaculada D — Google review
This place seems to get bigger every time you visit. We discovered an entire aisle dedicated to soap, then the aquatic area and then an entire space for drinks that we’d missed on the previous three visits. You can buy pretty much anything here, from fresh food to waterproof sea shoes. Buy some gateau piment on the way in to stop the hunger pangs as you shop!
Vic G — Google review
Super U Grand Baie is a one-stop destination for shopping in the north of Mauritius. The supermarket is spacious, well-organized, and stocked with a wide variety of groceries, fresh produce, bakery items, and household essentials. Prices are reasonable, and the quality is consistently good. Beyond the supermarket, the complex also has clothing stores, electronics shops, a food court, and small boutiques, making it convenient to shop for more than just groceries. Parking is ample, and the location is central in Grand Baie. Whether you’re a tourist looking to stock up during your stay or a local doing your regular shopping, Super U Grand Baie is a reliable and convenient choice.
Ashish K — Google review
The vast supermarket..situated on the ground floor of the Coeur de Villle shopping center, Grand Baie. Generally, Super U offers a membership card for the shoppers and buyers, however it's been 2.5 months long, I had applied for the membership card back in Jan'23, but haven't heard any update from them on the readiness of my card. Super U reception desk staffs are also not sure of this delay, many applications are in queue like mine. Anyway, there're huge collection and variety of almost every household and food items. You will get fresh bread and cake. The list will be endless. You may take a big metal trolley using a Rs 5 coin. And there are two more plastic carriers available inside the Super U, one smaller trolley and another is small hand held basket. Super U has vast free parking arena and there are few recycling containers of different items. Payment happens only in cash and cards. Any items which might need testing, can be availed only after its billing and from the front customer service desk. You can also get refundable water cans. Home delivery is possible till 7 pm and the minimum bill amount should be Rs 4900. A lot of locations in the north is covered for home delivery. There's a readymade food counter and roasted chicken available but limited stock on daily basis. Enjoy your visit and check out the items there. Super U Membership Update: there's an app named Checksa, you need to register there and use the QR code every time you bill in Super U, so you'll earn points and can be redeemed later.
Kausik D — Google review
A nice mall. The supermarket was well stocked with international and local varieties including halal options. We actually bought all our groceries from here for the 10 days we stayed at Airbnb.

Beaches
Pereybere Beach is a top choice for families due to its safety and child-friendly environment. However, it's not just for families; the nearby village offers a relaxing stay with developed infrastructure and proximity to other stunning beaches. Visitors praise the beach's beauty, with crystal clear waters and soft white sand providing an ideal spot for relaxation. The area is well-maintained, offering ample space for everyone to enjoy.
Beautiful beach ⛱️🏖️ to relax. There are food trucks nearby but it's cash only. The bar is nearby too but it's cash only.

A Slice of Paradise: Why Pereybere Beach is a Must-Visit Nestled on the northern coast of Mauritius, just a stone's throw from the bustling hub of Grand Baie, lies the idyllic Pereybere Beach. While not the longest stretch of sand on the island, it packs an immense amount of charm and beauty into its cozy cove, making it a firm favourite among both locals and tourists seeking the perfect beach day. Powder-Soft Sand and Tranquil Waters The first thing that captivates you upon arrival at Pereybere is the sand. It is impeccably fine and brilliantly white, feeling like soft powder underfoot. This makes it an absolute pleasure to walk on, lie on, and for children to build their sandy masterpieces. There are very few broken corals or sharp stones, allowing you to comfortably enjoy the shoreline without the need for water shoes. Complementing the pristine sand are the famously calm and translucent waters. Protected by an offshore reef, the bay is a sanctuary from strong currents and large waves. The water is a stunning palette of turquoise and crystal-clear blue, creating a gentle, lagoon-like environment. This exceptional calmness makes Pereybere one of the safest and most inviting beaches for families with young children and for swimmers who prefer a serene dip over battling the surf. The water gradually deepens, allowing for both casual paddling and more serious swimming within the clearly marked safe zones. Vibrant Atmosphere and Activities Despite its tranquil waters, Pereybere has a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The beach is fringed with lush palm and casuarina trees, offering plenty of natural shade from the tropical sun. For those seeking more comfort, deck chairs are available for rent. The clear waters are not just for swimming; they also offer a fantastic opportunity for snorkeling. A short swim from the shore reveals a vibrant underwater world with a surprising variety of colourful fish. For the more adventurous, local vendors offer a range of water sports, including kayaking, paddleboarding, and even deep-sea fishing excursions that can be arranged from the beach. Adding to the vibrant scene is an array of local food stalls and vendors conveniently located just behind the beach. You can easily indulge in fresh tropical fruits, delicious local snacks like samosas and rotis, or cool down with a refreshing ice cream without having to stray far from your spot on the sand. The Verdict Pereybere Beach is a true Mauritian gem. It perfectly encapsulates the island's beach paradise reputation with its combination of soft white sand, incredibly calm, clear waters, and a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. Whether you are a family seeking a safe swimming haven, a couple looking for a picturesque spot to relax, or a solo traveller wanting to soak up the sun, Pereybere Beach is an unmissable destination that promises a perfect day by the sea.
R G — Google review
Rather small, yet beautiful beach with calm clear water. The reef is a bit farther, so you can have some depth when swimming. We saw a sea turtle just near the shore.
Viktoriia A — Google review
Perebyre Beach Review Perebyre Beach is a lovely spot that offers a unique balance of tranquility and vibrancy. During weekdays, it’s quiet and peaceful, making it ideal for relaxation. However, it becomes lively and bustling on weekends, as locals flock to enjoy the atmosphere. One standout feature is the food trucks on the beach, offering a wide variety of meals at budget-friendly prices—a real treat for visitors. The live music and evening entertainment create an authentic local experience, adding to its charm. Additionally, the beach’s proximity to restaurants, bus stops, and tourist agencies makes it convenient for travelers. Overall, Perebyre Beach is a great place to soak up local culture while enjoying good food and entertainment.

The best public beach in Mauritius. No matter how crowded it is, you will not struggle to find a quiet spot. Safe place. The sand is one of the softest, i.e. you won’t be bumping on rocks/corals when walking on the beach or in the sea.

Located on the north-west coast of Mauritius, La Cuvette Public Beach is a popular spot near the tourist town of Grand Baie. It attracts many tourists from Grand Baie looking to enjoy a relaxing day under the sun. The beach is often frequented by locals for picnics and leisure time by the ocean. With clear waters and no coral reefs, it offers a picturesque setting.
Beautiful small beach, awesome sunset setting. Careful, there are plenty of rocks in the seemingly clearer section of the water, and the algae is normal for Jan period. Breathtaking sunsets

The view of the beach is nice and the toilets are clean. But the surrounding area and the beach itself could be much cleaner. I hope that the city will deal with it.

As far as public beaches go we really enjoyed it. Be careful by the rocks. There may be urchins. Few little waves which excite thr children. It is pleasant to watch the boats. There are a few food trucks about if you get peckish. They aren't the cheapest. We enjoyed that there were trees about for shade. Many locals bring lunch and set up a table and chairs for themselves... Which was very cute. Neat public toilets are there but take your own loo paper.

Mon Choisy Public Beach is a stunning 1.4km coastal stretch featuring fine white sand, clear and calm turquoise waters, and shade trees. It offers various activities such as jogging, aerobics, and water skiing. The beach boasts a tranquil ambiance despite its popularity, with a woodland area providing a refreshing escape from the sun. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque sunset and capture nature's beauty at its best.
We went to this beach at the time of the sunset with some beers. Great place to hangout with friends and families. The beach was clean, the water was blue. There were a lot of people. The views were great. Although it does get hot around sunset due to the sun being directly in front of us. Good for swimming as well. Good parking spots. Great place to visit in Mauritius.

Stunning, pristine, quiet beach, shaded by the forest and with plenty of space for everyone. It was really quiet and peaceful when we visited. Loads of free parking, food options if you're happy with fast food. Or you can walk along the beach to the hotels for restaurant food. Great for snorkeling along the rockier edges.
Suzy G — Google review
Best beach around, spaced out, clean, calm, somehow feels warmer than the other beaches, shade to retreat to, easy parking all along. Perfect for kids. No snorkeling but also no urchins.
Duncan A — Google review
Lots of parking. Lots of space. Lots of shade if you want it from the trees. There are organized restrooms and no boats in the water. There is even a really cheap water sports company that offers lots of options for attractions like water skiing. Highly recommended

Mammamia Che Gelato is a delightful haven for dessert lovers, boasting four charming locations across Mauritius, including Grand Baie La Croisette and Flic en Flac. This spot is renowned for its authentic Italian gelato, alongside a tempting menu featuring traditional pizzas, lasagna, ravioli, gnocchi, and an array of sweet treats like macarons and pancakes. The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding while enjoying delicious offerings such as milkshakes and pastries.
Best ice cream in la croisette. Very flavourful and good quality. The price is a bit expensive but the taste worth the price. I highly recommend this place for ice cream. As for the macaron it was not that great

Very tasty! We had ice cream and crêpes. For crêpes could use a little bit more Nutella, but the dough was soft and very delicious. The staff was also friendly, as was the chef :) Two scoops of ice cream were €5, and the crêpes were €7.

Ordered one scoop of Ice cream flavored Ferrero which was 95 rs. The ice cream was served with this curly biscuit. Visually it was really appealing and tastewise it was good. Restaurant
Grill & Chill is a great restaurant in Grand Baie that serves delicious food. The service can be a bit slow, but this is common in Mauritius, where people often take their time eating. The menu features seafood and barbecue options, as well as a grill section which makes it perfect for dinner or late night dining.
Grille and Chill is a cozy and charming restaurant located in the northern part of Mauritius. I really appreciated the warm welcome and inviting atmosphere. The place tends to get quite busy on weekends. We enjoyed a main course of marlin and vegetables, paired with one of their delicious cocktails. The service was prompt and efficient. A highlight was the live grilling of fish right in front of the restaurant, which added a fun and engaging touch. I was delighted to celebrate my birthday there — truly a great find and an excellent choice. Highly recommended for a night out! 📍Grille and Chill, Pereybere #pereybere #nighout #hubby #fishandchips #placetobe #marlin #grilledfish #marlindish #foodies #couple

Tasty food cooked to order on the grill. The atmosphere and service is nothing special but I enjoyed the meal, and the wine and cocktail list was good for Mauritius. While it is on the pricier side, the portions are extremely generous, and I could have shared my grilled fish and calamari main. The sauces were surprisingly good - I enjoyed the pepper sauce and the hot chilli sauce served with the rice and potatoes accompaniment. The side salad was dismal and I’d be weary of ordering a salad main. The fish served was tuna, which was served in thin fillets and cooked through, which was tasty, but I typically prefer a thicker, seared option. All in all, a laid back and enjoyable meal but not anything to write home about.

Had dinner here with my family of 4 and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, creating an inviting vibe the moment you walk in. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming – a big plus. The food was overall very good. Flavors were well-balanced, the portions just right, and the presentation looked great. The main course in particular was a highlight – cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The menu offers a nice variety, with options for different dietary needs. All in all: a strong restaurant I’d gladly return to. Perfect for a relaxed night out with good food and a great vibe.

Amazing! We visited grill and chill many times during our holidays. Starting from amazing service, always super nice all the way to perfect food. We have tried almost everything on the menu and must say, it was such an experience. Deserts were also on point. Nice rums, good beer, always smiling faces. Once we are back there, coming 100% back. For those who wanna try some Tuna steak, this is the place to go. Thank you

The BEST place to eat in north Mauritius, we came back like three times, because we simply had to. Food is made on grill right in front of the customers, portions are very big and diverse. Tuna steak was one of the best we ever tried, smoked marlin salad top as well. Staff is extremely nice, they treated us to traditional liqueur and flambeed bananas (using local Mauritian rum).

Tried today, talked about the price first so this was fine. BUT: Samosas were still partly frozen. Not good at all. Also very doughy and not a lot of veggies. Tasted like old frying oil. Disgusting

Scam - Betrug My fault was that i did not ask for the prices. We had 2 Cocktails, then 2 portions of grilled calamari with potato fries and salad and selfmade naan bread and 2 glasses of beer. At the end the nice man came to our table and showed me a sheet of paper where i could read 4.200 rupies - round about 80 euros. No chance to see or get a bill. That is really not necessary scam !!! Take another of the many streetfood snack kiosks !!! At last — the taste and the amount was okay.

They must be confusing it with some other buffet. Very kind, unobtrusive service, Fantastic local food. I don't think it's better in a restaurant, and you can also do it here in a bathing suit at a table on the beach. What more do you need for happiness? Try it by all means. Correct prices, not expensive. It also accepts bank cards. We were with a baby and he got a gift out of pure kindness, which he and we were very happy about. If I can visit the island again, I will definitely visit this buffet. Last but not least, all cutlery and food containers are made of degradable materials. Nothing plastic 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

How I wish I would have read these reviews first... And looking back now, we should have ? the bill at the end but we never!! We just swallowed it as we didn't want to ruin a lovely day. If you do go here, I recommend asking them to give you the bill upfront... We got 2 cans of Phoneix beer, 1 chicken noodle and a portion of chips = total price was 1,200.... why?!?!?!?! The lad told us we didn't need to rush off after our food. This was said after he told us the bill and I think he said it to hide the fact that we were being ripped off because we were in fact rushed... He stood close by our table and in the end, said he needed the table... Gobsmacked!! Lads, if you are reading this, sort this poor behaviour out!! You wouldn't like it so don’t do it to others...

Samosas are excellent. To avoid scamming, just agree to the price, like everything.. market..taxi, etc. just how it runs. Fried noodles were good. Chicken burger very good. Nice to have a place near the beach. We were satisfied with both food and service.

Nice beach but terrible experience with Best Kebab. After ordering the food they bring you not only the food you have ordered but also additional food you haven’t ordered and after making them aware about it they give you a gesture that it is okay and that it is part of the food you ordered. Then, they ask you several times to pay later. When you ask for the invoice you get a handwritten highly confusing invoice with values that differ from the menu. After making them aware, they claim that the variation we ordered differs from the menu and costs more (never mentioned to us and does not make sense as we ordered the standard) - cheap excuse. After all, we had to pay R2400 instead of R1400. NO RECOMMENDATION!

This review is not about the food which was ok for a food truck. Be careful with these guys they try to fool you in terms of menu prices and change. I ordered Fried noodles and a diet coke which are 275 Rs together, gave the guy 400 and returned me 25 and when I asked for the change he tried to give me back just coins. A friend of mine ordered a chicken bread kebab (150 Rs) and a Fresh juice cocktail (250 Rs). She paid 1000 Rs and received 100 Rs change, when she asked for the rest they said that this is the price. She cannot argue with them because it was like the entire family member who own the business there and they started to look aggressive. I recommend you to avoid this place.

Restaurant
Cocoloko is a restaurant located along the main road of Grand Baie, Mauritius. It offers a diverse dining experience with European, Asian, and Mauritian cuisine. The restaurant's setting in a sandy courtyard adorned with coconut trees creates a beach-like atmosphere. Their menu features an extensive range of dishes including salads, burgers, pizza, and curries.
Really enjoyed our time here. They had a table for us on a Friday night without a reservation. All the staff greeted us and made us feel very well taken off to. Food was good as well. Tuna was delicious, my pizza tasted crunchy at the bottom and fresh on the ingredients. Could have used a little more herbs on the outside. But im nitpicking. Was live music as well and the atmosphere is just lovely

Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! The tuna poke was delicious with creamy avocado and a tangy soy dip. Loved the crispy calamari and the hearty Caesar salad too. Great service and relaxing vibe — perfect for a light, tasty meal. Burger was avarage

Nice place to hang out very peaceful during the day you can sit outdoor 😀 but too many smokers around. We ordered pizza which was too thin as it was soggy could not use cutlery to eat. Had to eat with hands making a mess. Drinks are very costly here Money is the key waiters are very frustrated they dont even smile at you 1 lady was very rude to me. I didnt feel welcome there will not go again.

I am truly amazed by the food here! I didn't want it to end. I wanted to try it all after I tasted my order. I recommend this place. I rate it 10/10 ✅️

Very nice place, a few steps from the beach. We started out with a couple of beers (phoenix) and decided to eat here too. We got the Pad chai, and the butter chicken. Both dishes were flavourful, well-cooked and presented. The staff are nice and welcoming.

First Timer. We called for reservation and everything went well. Staffs were welcoming and guided us to the table. In terms of atmosphere, it was super cosy and with the live music, it was perfect. Food and drinks were also good. We had two pizzas, one ravioli, and like 5-6 drinks/cocktails and total was about rs3500 which was worth it. Will surely visit again 👌 #recommended

I would definitely recommend going here. My family and I really enjoyed it. We went there for dinner, and we all loved the vibe, and everyone really enjoyed their food. The waitress was so kind, one of the sweetest waitresses I’ve ever had. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Proximity is everything

Beach
Pereybere Public Beach is a bustling and stunning destination backed by shady trees, offering activities like swimming, sunbathing, kayaking, and picnicking. It's located within the Grand Baie area, providing easy access to amenities and accommodations. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden or take a local bus to visit islands like Ile Plate, Ile aux Cerfs, or Ile aux Gabriel.
Stunning small beach. Calm, clean, easy parking. Some snorkeling around the rocks by the left but not great visibility or variety.
Duncan A — Google review
This speech is definitely not our choice, it is too too loud and too busy for us. The water is also not as clear as we like it. Very funny, there were many lazy dogs, laying in the shadows of some trees.
J&J F — Google review
Amazing sunset spot at Pereybere Beach — compact cove with calm, clear water that stays swimmable right up to golden hour, plus handy amenities just off the sand. Arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to find roadside parking and a shady patch near the park; food trucks and cafés make it easy to grab snacks while waiting for the sky to turn orange‑pink. Families will appreciate the shallow, roped swimming area, showers and toilets; water shoes help for occasional coral or rocks. Tip: for snorkelling, try the left side rocks earlier in the day, then settle in for sunset.

Nice beach with clear water and clean. Gets very busy on Sundays as local people spent the day having picnics in the area. Several food stalls near by with great food to have in the beach while sunbathing. It was a nice beach to spend few hours as soon as we landed in Mauritius. Free parking lot.
Inmaculada D — Google review
Nice beach with lovely white sand and less coral on entry to the water compared to a lot of other beaches in Mauritius. Rather small and gets quite busy and nothing on the beach in terms of sunbeds / restaurants etc but lots nearby. Lots of shade which is quite nice.
Ruben B — Google review
If you want to have the best snorkelling experience, walk to La pointe d’azur and snorkel following the rocks near the shore. You will find lovely corals, lots of marine life and we even saw a turtle! The beach in itself is nice with public parking and lots of cheap street food.
Laure C — Google review
Nice public beach with some shade from the palm trees. Turquoise water and seem to be quite popular for french people. Completely safe to leave your bag and towel and go for a swim.
Krasimira V — Google review
Beautiful slice of paradise. What stood out was how calm and still the water is. How I didn't see a single street vendor trying to - usually successfully - get me to buy things I don't need. Felt very safe. Seemed to be a beach used predominantly by locals. This place is quite local and I will back every chance I get!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Grand Baie, the Grand Baie Bazar is a delightful haven for shoppers and culture enthusiasts alike. Open from Monday to Saturday, this charming market showcases an array of handcrafted local souvenirs, colorful wicker baskets, and unique textile products. As you stroll through its lively stalls, you'll be captivated by the enticing aromas of traditional Mauritian street food wafting through the air.
Nice place to visit, The bazaar for tourists is quiet and clean. You can walk around, look around and buy whatever you need. Of course, you should haggle. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

As someone who has visited Mauritius many times , its better to support the Bazar than overpriced Street guys and hawkers . Its not an air conditioned mall its a market and goods are fine as gifts .etc Best stall for Trainers ,sun glasses, jewellery, bags is just before the main entrance and the Buddha on the right side . Run by Anoushka so helpful and patient, we tried on several trainers etc and then bought quite a few bits . She is a kind natured lady not like some of the stall holders . Do support if you don't want to pay the ridiculous hotel gift shop price for the same goods . Thanks Anoushka all the best.

Sunset Boulevard in Grand Baie offers a vibrant nightlife with its array of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. It's a popular spot for live music and entertainment. The coastal road leading to Grand Baie village features Sauterelle at Sunset Boulevard and Le Poivrier, highly recommended for their food and service. Good afternoon fox, me as a Mauritian people this is a place for tourists and a place for stuff. But I don't say for them too. Nice and cool environment but about a bit noisy. You have choices amongst choices what to do and what to buy. A place never stop for people on day time and afternoon. Yes you have to be vigilant too. This is a wonderful open shopping with direct summer holiday. Well is your choice what to ware or not. Pay attention thus place is not like European one but you have to ware properly and not to do provocation to others people please. Be respectful. A place not to be naked but all the religious visiting this environment so be human not dogs.

The Catamaran excursion for Gabriel and Flat Islands was amazing!!! The weather that day was pretty windy but the captains were very professional in navigating the waves and currents. Best part was the delicious and unlimited food and drinks! Will definitely book with them again 💙

I visited Blue Safari in Mauritius and it was an amazing experience! The lady who welcomed us gave a clear and detailed explanation of everything. The whole crew was friendly, and the submarine captain was polite and calm — he explained everything we saw underwater. We spotted dolphins, a turtle, and many types of fish. The underwater ride lasted around 45 minutes, and the whole experience took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something unique and refreshing!
Abdulaziz S — Google review
We visited Blue Safari Submarines with our family and had an absolutely wonderful time. The logistics were smooth from the start. Parking was easy; they have space for a few cars inside and plenty of parking available just outside their premises. The team was professional and ran the entire process efficiently. We were given an initial briefing before a ferry took us out to the main platform. There, we received a second, clear briefing on the dos and don'ts before boarding the submarine one by one. The submarine itself seats ten passengers plus the captain. While it is a small space (as expected!), we didn't find it to be uncomfortable at all. The dive reaches a maximum depth of 35 meters and the view is spectacular. We were thrilled to watch the vibrant undersea life, including beautiful corals, schools of fish, and a few turtles, and also got a close look at a shipwreck. To top it all off, they provide a certificate confirming that you've made the dive in a real submarine—a great souvenir! The entire Blue Safari team was highly professional and helpful, and all instructions were very clear. We felt completely safe throughout the whole trip and would recommend this as a safe and unique experience for both adults and children. A must-do!
Awhan M — Google review
The submarine tour didn’t meet my expectations — perhaps I was expecting too much. I couldn’t see colorful corals or fish; everything looked mostly blue, white, and a bit blurry. Maybe the glass windows weren’t very clean. It was my first experience, though, so overall I still felt it was a worthwhile trip.

A Truly Relaxing and Memorable Experience with Blue Safari’s Southern Catamaran Cruise Blue Safari’s Southern Catamaran Cruise was the perfect blend of leisure, scenic beauty, and top-notch hospitality. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well-organized. The online booking process was smooth and hassle-free, and the booking team patiently answered all my queries over WhatsApp—something I truly appreciated. On the day of the cruise, we were warmly welcomed by the Blue Safari team at Pointe des Régates in Mahébourg. A quick speedboat transfer brought us to the beautiful catamaran, where our journey began at 9:30 AM. We were greeted with a cheerful welcome and a helpful tour briefing by our lovely host, Rose. The cruise was led by Captain Jack and his wonderful four-member crew, who ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout. We were a small, friendly group—two families and a few couples—which made the experience feel even more personal. Our first stop was a snorkelling session, and I was thrilled to see my daughter try it for the first time. The crew was incredibly encouraging and made the moment extra special. As we sailed through the stunning blue-green waters, drinks flowed freely, and we found ourselves completely immersed in the tranquillity of the sea. Rose shared interesting facts about the nearby lighthouse and surroundings, adding a thoughtful touch to the journey. Next, we hopped on a speedboat to visit the breathtaking GRSE waterfall—a highlight of the trip. Back on the catamaran, we were treated to a delicious barbecue lunch. Relaxing on the deck with the sea breeze and panoramic views was simply mesmerising. By 2 PM, we reached the picturesque Île aux Cerfs, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the shallow turquoise waters. The island was well-equipped with facilities like showers, changing rooms, beach chairs, and cozy shack restaurants. After an hour of island time, we returned to the catamaran for a delightful tea and coffee session accompanied by freshly baked cake and soft background music. As rain clouds began to roll in, the team ensured we got back to the starting point safely by 4 PM. Every aspect of the cruise was thoughtfully planned and executed. A special thanks to Rose, whose warmth and hospitality made us feel completely at home. This was truly an experience of a lifetime—spending quality time with family, disconnected from the digital world, surrounded by serene waters and breathtaking views. Highly recommend this day cruise if you’re visiting Mauritius! Be sure to check their website for more cruise options based on your location—there’s something for everyone.

Very expensive for the type of experience. It's not worth more than 2000-3000 rupees/ person. Speaker system inside the submarine is useless, all one hears is mumbling from the pilot steering and posing as a tour guide. Otherwise one gets a short shuttle boat ride to the submarine. Shipwreck can be viewed. The experience is recommended but negotiate for the right price.

We did underwater submarine. What an amazing experience. The pilot Damien was brilliant trying his best to give us the best experience . I have read some reviews commenting on it being expensive. Maintaining and running the submarine is expensive itself.

Trou aux Biches Beach is a picturesque coastal spot located in the north of Mauritius. This former fishing village boasts a one-mile stretch of stunning silver-tinged sand, making it one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The beach is known for its clear turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling and various water sports such as water skiing, scuba diving, and parasailing.
Simply the best beach on the island. Clear crystal waters, great for snorkelling and swimming, plus a superb white sand beach which goes on for miles. There are toilets and a few restaurants dotted about, as well as a supermarket in walking distance. Its only slight downfall is the lack of parking.
Monty M — Google review
Free parking with access to the beach , along with shower and toilet facilities . Lots of parking , not aware of any security issues , and feels very safe . Access to the sea is simple and safe , be aware of the power boats , local fisherman and tourist cruisers - when swimming alway be aware of your surroundings ( speeds of these boats leaves no room for error if they do not see you ).

Beautiful beach with public access. Each beach seems to have a care taker that looks after the toilets and beach area making it very clean. Good car parking area.

Favourite snorkel spot, right down the south end (park opposite dive spirit or near popo supermarket). Good variety just off shore, no boat trips necessary. You can swim to where they go in 2 mins. Crowded in the central part of the beach near car park. Wear water shoes and it's chilly in August

Trou aux Biches is a paradise in every sense of the word. Beyond the beauty of the setting, what made our stay unforgettable was the extraordinary service and care from the staff and management team. Every interaction was filled with a warmth and attentiveness that surpassed our expectations. Special thanks to Rambo at the beach bar, who spoiled us with such warmth and generosity. He made every moment by the beach even more special. Our butler Ibrahim went above and beyond to make us feel at home; his attention to detail and kindness truly elevated our stay. The management team made us feel like valued guests at every step, treating us with such attentiveness and care that we left feeling completely spoiled and cherished. The food was superb, the hospitality unmatched and the memories we made at Trou aux Biches will stay with us forever. This was an experience we will never forget, and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The cozy restaurant is known for its delicious food and warm hospitality. Guests have praised the owner for his friendly demeanor and even got to taste his homemade rum during their visit. The atmosphere is described as nice and relaxing with great background music. Visitors have expressed their fondness for the place by returning every evening during their stay in Mauritius.
We were staying in an apartment very near by and went for it as we could walk there. The food was great, the two of us shared the Calamari to start which was a very good sized portion, plenty for two people, and tasted very fresh. For my main I had the Local fish curry, I chose rice and salad as sides and my other half had the Dorade. Both tasted amazing, generous portion sizes and great value for money. I would highly recommend Refresh to anyone visiting the area looking for a nice meal. We were first in around 6:30pm and it quickly filled up, lots of people getting take away too.

The food was delicious- prawns in garlic sauce. Coctails very good. And the top was the desert- pineapple with caramel and icecream:)we did not wait long, good value for price , the waiters were smiling all the time:)
Róbert L — Google review
A small, neat restaurant specializing in pizza and cocktails, but also offering local cuisine, salads, a variety of starters, and desserts. We tried the seafood in Creole sauce and the fish curry — both dishes were good, with fresh ingredients. The cocktails, however, were just okay; perhaps we were unlucky with our choices (Refresh Colada and Bartender’s Kiss). Both tasted a bit diluted and lacked flavor. I felt that the food and cocktails were slightly overpriced compared to other places in the area. It would be easier to overlook this if the design or interior was more appealing, but the place is essentially a small garage with an extension, and seating is on plastic chairs. Additionally, our plate and one of the cocktail glasses were chipped. I can overlook the plate, but not the glass — that felt a bit careless. Overall, I can kind of recommend the place, but I would suggest managing your expectations.

Firstly the service is abysmal. It was 1.5hrs to get a salad, a forgot drink order. I then made the mistake of ordering a dessert which had still arrived after 1hr of waiting and a reminder to the waitress. There was zero apology and quite frankly the staff just seem rude. The lobster salad looks impressive but it has about 50g of lobster meat and an empty claw. I would not eat here again.

We enjoyed this place every single day for the whole month! The service is very good, actually the best we’ve experienced on the island: fast, efficient, kind and responsive. 👏👏Looooooved their fondant dessert, it was the best I’ve ever tried! Bravo to the chef! Their cocktails are excellent, especially the one made specifically 😉😍🙏 Thank you barman and thank you staff. We’ve enjoyed their lunch menu a few times, it’s really good - pasta, pizza, salads, dessert- again the best on the island! Very European like, thank you guys!!! The dinner dishes are very nice indeed. The only disappointment was the breakfast, that is far from tasty. But other than that you guys made our stay really pleasant. Merci! 🥰

Shame on this place for having staffs that are not in their senses to work. You have a cashier that have no manner of talking nor even take up orders! Amazing food and good live & dj ambiance on weekends But on the downside is that there are many drunk staff there who can't even do their job like the lady cashier who tried to swindle our money and act like nothing while security guys don't have manners to talk and privileges' certain people to smoke on the bar and us not...they even tried to make us pay drinks for them so as to get in... Hope you guys look into that matter cause apart from that we had a great time dancing and chilling... 06.09.25 update; great to see that you updated the security, did not see that long security guy who deals stuff there. But disappointment is that u guys still have a thief on cash counter. Paid an entrance and had a great musical experience but a poor service from the bar. Atmosphere was superb.

We only ate here once, but the lamb shank was huge and delicious and the burger was superb. The onion rings side was also huge and the acoustic guitar was a bonus. An easy bar to recommend

First time trying out the palm heart salad and it was amazing. The ambience and food were really good. The service was unfortunately very slow. We waited for some time to be acknowledged because the place doesn’t have a host at the entrance. The restaurant area is open and it started raining however they have some umbrellas that kind of help keep you dry. The live band sang so beautifully which helped in making the ambience a lot more special.

It seems nice on nice on face value, prices are fair for a touristy place workers seem nice but will profile you basing on race most likely trained by the Indian management ! If your black you will be asked to clear your bill the moment your served! Which is odd. Even you want to spend more you will just not! Actually some black and African tourists spend more than whites! If your someone of color and easily get upset by racial profiling avoid! As for me I stayed till closing time!

It is a nice place to chill. We had some drinks. Light meal. Was quite busy so service was a bit slow. The live music was good. We will return

The restaurant aims to create a space where authenticity, positivity, and healthy living are celebrated. Guests can enjoy the invigorating aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans and savor delicious cuisine for breakfast, brunch, or lunch in a tranquil green setting. 🌟 10/10 – Absolutely Recommended! We happened to walk past „Bloom“ in the morning and spontaneously decided to stop for breakfast — what a great decision! The selection of delicious dishes was impressive, which made it hard to choose. The breakfast was simply phenomenal. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately made a reservation for dinner that same evening. The service throughout was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had a lovely chat with Jennifer, who gave us some great local tips on things to see in Mauritius. We ordered cocktails, starter, main course, and dessert — and every single course was outstanding. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was spot-on. A truly perfect evening. Highly recommended! 10/10! Best regards The Lichts - from Germany 🇩🇪

This place is so beautiful with really good vibes and great atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly and nice. We went there for brunch and had really good time. I opted for waffles and cappuccino were very tasty even those I opted for waffle with chocolate sauce the amount of sauce was very little. But overall good, but pls next time a bit more sauce

We came here twice for breakfast/brunch. Jennifer and Ryan were the best!! Kind and chatty, great recommendations on food and about the island (shopping and beaches). Food came very quickly, and it was scrumptious. Staff came back regularly to check all was ok. Highly recommend.

A lovely place with a huge enclosed garden suitable for kids to safely roam. A varied menu for all times of the day. They open at 07.30, so a perfect coffee spot for the early risers. Good food, great staff, with lots of local birds scrounging crumbs.

Great place to be! It has a very lovely and calmimg atmosphere so be aware. If you cone here once, you certainly will come again! You can enjoy great coffee and meanwhile enjoy the garden views, the different kind of birds and est some delicious foods. We tried different bowls and egg dishes and they all were great! Nobody is stressed here, staff is very kind and you will always feel welcome here.

Breakfast at Bloom Mauritius was such a great way to start the day! The food was super fresh — lots of tasty options like fruit, pastries, eggs, and good coffee. You can really tell they put care into the details. They've got a massive area with a nice relaxing garden in the back. A little noisy from the main road nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always checking in with a smile, which made the morning feel easy and relaxed. If you’re staying nearby, don’t skip this place — it’s the kind of breakfast that puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

A fancy place with room for improvement: While the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, I'd recommend trying somewhere else. The veggie burger was disappointing: it was simply a mushroom patty between two buns. Although the tofu salad was good, we waited an hour for our food. The server was nice and transparent, informing us there was an issue in the kitchen, which we appreciated. However, we were charged for the sriracha sauce that was supposed to be included with the sweet potato fries. We also told our server that the masala chai didn't taste right, suspecting the oat milk was spoiled, but they didn't seem to care. 😅 Overall, I was a bit disappointed. 🥹

Ordered a piece of Basque cheesecake and waitress brought me this... I said it had nothing with a cheesecake and the waitress replied: if you don't like it you may not eat it, but you have to pay it. Dear Bloom's chef, here is a genuine Basque cheesecake if you never saw it, I've googled it for you!

Beautiful beach with lot of food options nearby. Just ahead of Gloria there are stalls with options like Halim, Roti Dal Pori, Fried noodles, fried rice, ice cream, gato piment etc. Though its a small beach and has parking constraints yet its the cleanest and scenic for some amazing pictures.

Free parking!💛 Food van on the spot all year long ☺️ best beach so far! It's like a natural swimming pool where it's just purely sand down there, no stones,no sea urchins,no beaches, just flat sandy beach all the way for 20m at least. Love it!🩴🐚🦀 You have to try the food tent ⛺ in my pictures! It's food is sooooo authentic (said by our local friends) as food quality is shockingly fresh and good. One of the best beaches for swimming! It can get a bit crowded, but it's a great chance to experience how the locals spend their time. Many come here for picnics, which adds to the fun and lively atmosphere.

Amazing sunset spot at Mont Choisy Beach — long curved bay, calm water, and casuarina trees for shade make it easy to linger until golden hour. The sky puts on a show with orange‑pink hues reflecting on glassy water; arrive 30–45 minutes before sunset to find parking and a quiet patch of sand. Weekdays feel relaxed; weekends are lively with locals, street food stands, and watersports. Tip: bring a picnic, water shoes for occasional coral bits, and a camera for those final 10 minutes of light.

Our stay at there was perfect during our honeymoon. The two weeks were amazingly perfect: the staff, the room, the breakfasts and pastries, the tidiness and the beautiful surroundings of the place itself. There is a charming beach not far from there. Many thanks for the owners, for the ladies and for all the staff. You made our stay in Mauritius unforgettable. Already missing it and waiting for return. We hope, that the guesthouse will be there forever. Best wishes!

I absolute loved our stay here in this quaint B&B. The staff here are oh so hospitable. The rooms are tidied up daily, with free pastries straight from the kitchen. The location is near all the best restaurants (in my opinion). And a lovely patisserie just 3mins walk from here! We run around the beach most mornings. So if you’re a runner like us, you’ll love staying here.

This boutique hotel is our favorite accomodation in Mauritius by far. You can feel the owners hand in all aspects. We were warmly received with a refreshment on the shady veranda. The staff helped with the luggage. Our room was large, tastefully furmished and spotlessly clean. We could chose between aircon and fan. Well equipped kitchenette. Nice deckchairs on the grass beside the pool. There is a little supermarket and a great French bakery in walking distance. You can reach a little beautiful beach in less than 10min walking.

Stayed here for 2 weeks, best experience of my life. The hotel itself is very luxurious and beach friendly, this is only benefitted by the great food experience all around. The regular buffet has a greate variety and amount of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to this, there is an italian restaurant with a great menu and a seafood restaurant at the seaside with a great selection. The hotel also includes a snack bar with pancakes, sandwiches etc. All day long. For the night there is a cocktail bar and live music. The hotel activities are also great, include many water sports, snorkeling, included diving courses and an optional paid cruise to nearby islands to dive. The hotel also features kids and teens programs with great variety and fun. The hotel is also very forthcoming when you want to take a day trip somewhere, they can arrange a driver for you, lunvh boxes and program ideas. The staff too 95% speak great english and are very friendly and helpful with everything.

Our room was always clean and tidy. We even enjoyed the all inclusive buffet there was always something for everyone and plenty to choose from. Our honeymoon was booked through a travel agent AMR Travel. Staying here has made us definitely want to come back in the future, thank you Canonnier.

My worst experience in Mauritius was definitely the Canonnier Hotel. They said they'd upgraded our room, but then they arbitrarily moved us to a room with no view. The air conditioner was leaking. Most of the outlets didn't work. I don't think the cleanliness was good at all. We came here from another Beachcomber hotel. We were so happy with everything there, but we didn't like this one as much. The staff were poor. The beaches were poor. They say a la carte is free, but none of it was available until we left. We couldn't use any of the services. I don't recommend it.

After 5 wonderful days at Shandrani Hotel, we thought our 5 days here would be just as good. But we were sorely mistaken!! I don't know where to begin with the problems, but I can say this in short: wonderful nature, disgraceful service!!! The first problem is that 75% of the staff are very sullen. I don't know if it's because we didn't have the all-inclusive package, but they keep trying to push us to the back tables. Room service is sketchy. Most services that are free at Shandrani Hotel are paid here. The other day, they charged the price of 2 bottles of soda for the 3 glasses of soda we had with our meal. When I raised a problem, they gave me 1 more bottle. Otherwise, they make me pay 300 rupees for 3 glasses of soda. The sea is full of filth. There's no place to enjoy the sea. They even sell ice for 150 rupees. 😂. The sun loungers and umbrellas are far too few for the hotel's capacity. The Beachkomber brand has really failed to maintain its standards. We were very satisfied with Shandrani. Even the general manager came every day to ask if we needed anything. If you're thinking of coming, definitely go to Shandrani. This is a worthless hotel.
Servan T — Google review
Unfortunately, we were not particularly happy with our stay here. Right at check-in, Elody indirectly accused us of lying through the way she communicated with us, even though we had already offered her other proof. That completely ruined our stay, and from that moment on, we no longer felt comfortable there. She acted as if the hotel had such high standards and that they had to strictly follow the rules. However, when you look closer, most of the female staff members were very unfriendly and uninterested. The room was cleaned half-heartedly every day. The bathroom fixtures were already covered in limescale when we checked in and were never cleaned during our stay. There were green stains in the drain, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. A lizard was also living in our bathroom above the shower, where there was a gap. Occasionally, staff would come by in the evening to ask if we wanted fresh towels, but the ones we received were very dirty. The terrace was often dirty as well. The daybed was always covered in lizard droppings, and it seemed like the cover had never been washed. The room was very noisy. You could hear the guests upstairs walking around, so sleeping in was impossible if they were early risers. The floor was never properly cleaned either — paper scraps from the previous day were still there the next morning. We received exactly one complimentary bottle of water at the beginning, after which we had to buy water ourselves at a relatively high price. Although there was a Nespresso machine in the room, you had to pay for the coffee capsules yourself. And this in a 4-star hotel? At check-in, they made a big deal about requiring long pants and closed shoes for dinner. But at the buffet, everyone dressed however they wanted. My husband even bought an expensive pair of long pants just for that, only to be surprised later. The food was okay, but nothing special. It felt like it was always the same dishes with little variety. The staff at the restaurant were friendly but overly eager — they tried to take away the plate underneath while we were still eating. The Italian restaurant was also fine but nothing remarkable; you could easily skip it. There wasn’t even any Parmesan served with the pasta, and the waiter didn’t seem to know what Parmesan was. They offer free kayaking and stand-up paddling, but you’re only allowed to use them within the small hotel bay. It’s hardly worth it because you can’t really see anything. We returned the equipment after one short round (about 10 minutes). The gym is small with limited equipment, but acceptable. When we returned from an excursion, the security guard at the gate greeted us with great suspicion and didn’t believe we were guests until we showed her our room card. The resort itself is actually very beautiful. It’s a shame that the service ruined it so much. It really shows how essential good service is to feeling comfortable at a hotel. I think the hotel is more geared toward older guests rather than younger ones. As younger visitors, we didn’t feel taken seriously at all. After this experience, we wouldn’t book a Beachcomber hotel again — maybe we’ll try again when we’re retirees.

What a great place! Fantastic spot right on the beach! Good music- great staff and drinks and good too - reasonable prices too. Had food there last night and it was delicious ! Swordfish with Mash and Teriyaki sauce, plus the catch of the day (Dorado) with wedges - both great. They also do really nice cocktails too !! - it closes early (10pm not sure if this is just a local restriction, so don’t arrive too late.

The food was really good here, got the best tuna steak i had so far in Mauritius. The dessert (brownie) was also top. The place is very easy going and service nice. Prices are also fair for the quality you get. I would come back!

Excellent service and food. Wonderful place to enjoy a meal or drinks. We used upstairs for a large group and the view was amazing. Tasty food and excellent customer service. You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets from their outdoor sitting area.

A Perfect Meal with a View Dining at The Beach House was an absolute treat. The fillet was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and full of flavor, paired beautifully with a creamy pepper sauce. The fresh salad on the side added a refreshing touch. But what truly takes the experience to the next level is the view – sitting right by the water with the sparkling turquoise ocean stretching out before you. The combination of delicious food, a chilled drink, and the gentle sea breeze makes this spot unforgettable. A must-visit for anyone in Mauritius looking for great food with a stunning backdrop.

Having known about the Beach House for years and coming since 2012, tonight was unfortunately very disappointing. Aware that it changed ownership a few years ago. Came in 2024 and it was ok. Tonight was a different experience The famous Juicy Lucy burger used to be piled high with the juiciest all beef patty. This time their menu has a cheese filled burger patty. We asked for the burger to be swapped but the waiter had no clue what we were asking for. This went on far too long. With much arguing we managed to make our order. Waiter simply could not understand and was quite rude! We also chose chicken wings starter and a tuna and shrimp salad to share. Verdict- burger was pretty good although not the same as the original Juicy Lucy from years ago. Came with frozen wedges. Chicken wings - possibly from the freezer and absolutely no flavour on the coating. Served with a side bowl of bbq sauce. salad - pretty tasty but only one prawn. We know and appreciate good food and this didn’t hit the mark tonight at all, and for around £40 it definitely wasn’t worth it. Such a shame for somewhere that was very much a firm favorite for many years. Bring back the old Beach House .

Very tasty food and amazing atmosphere. Cocktails are really top, fully recommend the "Do It Again" cocktail.

Le Poivrier is a good restaurant with tasty food and friendly service. The beef burger was nice, and the spaghetti tomme was the best dish on the table. The atmosphere is cosy and some parking is available in the yard. Prices may be a bit high, but they are justified by the popularity of this restaurant among tourists.
Everything was on point Service was impressive If you are in Grand Baie and want something that feels both elevated and comforting..Le poivrier is a must

We went there on a Saturday night. The restaurant was really busy, and the parking lot was full. However, this didn’t spoil the experience, as the owner and staff were incredibly friendly. They simply told us to leave the car blocking others and hand over the keys so they could park it properly once a space became available—allowing us to enjoy our dinner in peace. The food was excellent. We ordered a starter and a couple of main courses for two people, and everything we had tasted amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect, with a man singing beautifully and a relaxed, enjoyable vibe all around. The waiters were all genuinely friendly and welcoming to everyone. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates great food. Having lived in Dubai for nearly 20 years, I can confidently say this place rivals any of the top restaurants I’ve been to in terms of food quality.

Was warmly welcomed by the manager. Went there for dinner. The atmosphere is great with cool music while having dinner. Took a lamb shank and risotto with seafood. The lamb shank was extremely tender and it comes with potato smash. The combination of the sauce, the lamb and the potato smash was amazing. The risotto was amazing too with a variety of fresh seafood. Tried scallop for the first time, it was delicious. We tried their homemade ice tea, it was a 10/10. Very fruity and refreshing. I will certainly go again to try other dishes and will also try the other Poivrier aound the island.

Feb24- went on a Wed eve. Was busy. Recommended by host but it didn't deliver: food was okay but below par service (conscious bias by staff?). Great decor and feel. Very inconsistent: Spaghetti vongole was delicious (cooked perfectly despite some grit) Vs a meh tuna tartare (mushy, needed texture and seasoning). The (v) large warm goats cheese salad was okay, but needed a dressing. For a place that limits it's menu (apparently) it had a very big menu! They made no real effort for vegetarians, 2-3 dishes. Such a shame as wanted so much to like it as special occasion dinner for ourselves, on last night. The one guy, maybe the maitre d'/ patron, was gregarious. We did feedback on night. Massive portion sizes! Tarte tatin hidden under mountain of ice cream and cream. If it was France I'd expect indifferent service AND amazing food..Nope. Confusing, imbalanced place, felt like it was trying too hard. Most expensive meal here so far £70 for 3 plates and one dessert, 3 drinks.
