The White Tower of Thessaloniki is a historic Ottoman fortress and former prison that now houses an interactive exhibition showcasing the city's rich history. Situated on the city's waterfront, this iconic landmark was once part of a larger fortification and is believed to have been built in the fifteenth century after the Turkish conquest of Thessaloniki. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the sea from this location, making it a popular spot for enjoying drinks while taking in the scenery.
The most famous landmark of Thessaloniki with great panoramic views from the top. Inside you’ll find a small but interesting museum about the city’s history. Entry is €8, which is maybe a little bit expensive for the experience and the views
Aleksandra M — Google review
On the one hand, you must go here when visiting Thessaloniki. It is the most famous landmark of the city and has a lot of history attached to it. On the other hand, it is rather expensive (at €8) for what is a relatively small (but interesting) museum. But I have to say that the views from the top are terrific. So Yes - go!
Norm P — Google review
A wonderful place to visit! The White Tower is full of history and beautifully presented inside with clear displays and interactive exhibits. The climb to the top is easy, and the view over Thessaloniki and the sea is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must-see landmark when visiting the city!
Sabri F — Google review
Excellent attraction..6euro entry p.p. The walk up tonthe top with its several rooms and chambers along the way was really well worth it. You could easily spend 2 hours here going through the various write-ups & history. Some audio on English via your phone was available at key points. The views from the top are amazing. You see the length & breadth of the coast line and nearby hils. Apparantly you can see Mt. Olympus on a clear day...we were not so lucky.
Percy T — Google review
This is a must when visiting Thessaloniki! The ticket is 6€ and children under 18 don't pay the ticket. This isn't just a place where you go for the view from the top (even though it's very beautiful), but it's also a museum. You have a couple of stops before you reach the top where you can learn more about the history lf Thessaloniki. You also get a free audio guide available in many languages free of charge! I couldn't recommend this place enough.
Nataša K — Google review
A lovely place to walk around and enjoy the sea breeze. The view from the top is stunning, especially at sunset. Definitely one of Thessaloniki’s highlights!

The White Tower of Thessaloniki is A MUST monument-museum-attraction to start, when visiting the city. Start with just inhaling and enjoyig from outside the spirit of the place.(White tower is a starting stop and for the Cultural line 50 - the local tourist live guided bus tour -2€ regular fee (https://www.oasth.gr/en/tourism/cultural-route). Entering inside the museum (6€ regular ticket) you can select from 13 languages in which to learn and understand better the history, culture, life, culinary, evolution of the city during your way up trough the seven levels to the top. The observation terrace is a perfect selfie's spot and also a greate way to orientate yourself in the next directions trough your journey felling in love with Thessaloniki... Enjoy!
Vanya M — Google review
A must place to visit if in town for the first time. The tower is multi leveled with each level having an exhibition of the city's history. It's not tiresome to climb as there are no steep steps and you have to stop to see the exhibits. At the top one can enjoy the excellent view of the city and the bay. There is also a museum shop that was not operating on the day we visited.

The Umbrellas of Zongolopoulos is a famous public art installation by Greek sculptor George Zongolopoulos. Created in the 1990s, this elegant and minimalist sculpture features tall, slender poles topped with open umbrellas, often arranged in groups. The work symbolizes shelter, protection, and the poetic relationship between everyday objects and the environment. Installed in various locations across Greece and internationally, the Umbrellas have become iconic for their graceful simplicity and ability to transform public spaces into places of reflection and beauty.

The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is a renowned institution housing an extensive collection of Greek art and artifacts dating up to late antiquity. The museum's central section showcases exhibits from excavations in Thessaloniki and Macedonia, including sculptures, architectural elements from an ancient temple, relics from the palace complex built by Galerius, and gold artifacts from the Archaic and Classical periods.
A rich collection of wonderfully presented items depicting the immense archeological wealth and depth of Greece. In addition to their historical significance, many of the exhibits are spectacular on their own. Masterfully shaped and colored pottery, statues of unmatched artistry, weaponry that displays the military prowess of ancient Greece, gold accessories of impossible craftsmanship that adorned its prominent citizens, and so much more. The facility is also wonderful, clean, with broad corridors and occasional seating, and adequate information concerning the items as well as the age they represent. An overall wonderful experience.
George S — Google review
A gem of a place that deals with ancient Greek history and will take up at least three hours to tour depending on how much you want to learn. There is an app one can download and by scanning each exhibit learn its story in more detail than id depicted on the case. Artifacts, jewellery, sarcofagi, tools, weapons, mosaics and many more can be admired. Well worth a visit.

What a great museum to visit if you’re in Thessaloniki. It was a hot day but it was nice and cool walking around inside the museum. So much history and culture. There is a special section called the Cave which has some amazing exhibits.
Richard T — Google review
You may feel it's a small museum, but it's not. There is also underground floor. I spent there almost two hours and didn't feel the time passed. Very beautiful and interesting exhibitions, with interesting texts. Especially the gold jewelry collection. Highly recommended! There is also cafe in the small garden. You only need to take care about "ship bone" in the Cave exhibition. :)
Anita F — Google review
This museum is worth every minute if you are interested in Greek ancient history. The whole place is quite spacious and you never feel lost. Time spent is 2-3 hours. Totally worth the 8€ entrance fee
D — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki. The collection is impressive, especially the exhibits from ancient Macedonia — the gold jewelry, statues, and everyday artifacts really help bring the history to life. Everything is well organized, and the information panels are clear and helpful, even for someone without a deep background in archaeology. The building itself is spacious and modern, and the layout makes it easy to move through the different periods. I also appreciated the temporary exhibitions, which added some variety to the experience. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that some sections felt a bit repetitive, and a few exhibits could use better lighting or clearer signage. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Thessaloniki and interested in the rich history of the region.
Harun T — Google review
An unforgettable journey through ancient Macedonian history! The Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki is absolutely worth a visit. It's well-organized, easy to walk through, and packed with fascinating artifacts from ancient Macedonia and the wider region. The exhibits are clearly labeled in both Greek and English, and they really help you understand how people lived thousands of years ago - from everyday life to burial customs. The Derveni Krater alone is worth the visit - it's a stunning piece of ancient art. The museum feels modern, clean, and not too crowded, which made for a really enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and the outdoor section was a nice bonus too. If you're in Thessaloniki and have even a little interest in history or archaeology, don't skip this place. You'll come out feeling like you've actually learned something - and seen some incredible pieces of the ancient world up close.

The Arch of Galerius, also known as "Kamara," is a significant Roman monument in Thessaloniki. Built in 303 CE, it commemorates Emperor Galerius' triumph over the Persians and features intricate marble reliefs depicting various scenes and individuals. This iconic structure is a popular gathering spot for both locals and tourists, offering a glimpse into the city's ancient past.
The Arch of Galerius is incredibly impressive—much more spectacular than I had imagined. In my opinion, it’s as striking as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The scale, detail, and presence of the monument make it a must-see when visiting Thessaloniki. Built in the 4th century AD to commemorate Emperor Galerius’s victory over the Persians, the arch was part of a larger imperial complex that included palace and the Rotunda. You can still see beautifully preserved carvings depicting scenes of battle and imperial triumph, offering a glimpse into the grandeur of Roman Thessaloniki. The area around the arch is lively, with cafés and shops, yet the monument itself maintains a quiet dignity. It’s fascinating to see how it sits within the modern cityscape. An ancient structure that continues to command attention and respect. Take your time to walk around it and admire the details; it’s well worth a visit.
Sue V — Google review
Look out for the intricate sculptures depicting stories of the old featuring Romans in togas, warriors in armour, horses and much more. There are cafes, juice bars and shops along the road leading to the Rotunda and a beautiful church in the square by the intersection.

Another iconic landmark in the center of the city. it was built around the 4th C to celebrate Emperor Galerius’ victory over the Persians. The Arch is well decorated with detailed carvings. It is easy to find and free to visit. A good place to visit as part of walking the city sights.

This is one of Thessaloniki’s most famous Roman monuments and a key historic landmark in northern Greece. Located in the central part of the city, its walking distance from the port. The original arch had 8 pillars today there are 3. The detail carved into the marble commemorates Galerius’s victory over the Persians in 298 AD. Quite a site to see. Free to view.

Galerius was one of the Roman emperors who instigated the most severe persecution towards christians, from 303 to 311 AD. As a Christian pastor, this monument is very relevant as Thessaloniki was Galerius' administrative capital.

The Holy Church of Hagia Sophia, also known as the Temple of the Wisdom of God, is a historic and iconic orthodox church located in Thessaloniki. It is renowned for its elaborate statuary, paintings, and mosaics under massive arches.
Beautiful place to visit. I would advise though going with a tour guide or have a guidebook to explain the interior design and paintings, as there is no information anywhere. Yet there is an English language translation of the coffin and relics of Saint Basil the Confessor in one niche.

Beautiful. This is one of the most important Byzantine Orthodox churches in Thessaloniki and is certainly worth a visit. The church is decorated with golden frescoes dating from the 8th to 9th centuries. It is still a working church so be respectful and also be careful of the dress code,
Norm P — Google review
Historically and religiously significant monumental architecture in heart of Thessaloniki with richly painted icons. The church was a mosque from the 14th to 20th centuries and even the Christian style seems to incorporate Islamic themes in an intriguing way. The chandelier inside is a trace of the decor of a faded age. The art in the dome portraying the theotokos and the risen Christ are passionate and humble at once.
MLS — Google review
The Hagia Sophia is one of the most important Byzantine Orthodox churches in Thessaloniki. Unfortunately, we visited in the late afternoon and all the lights were off, so the photos I took are quite dark. That said, the church is richly decorated with brightly colored and golden frescoes dating from the eighth to ninth centuries. For a small donation of a few euros, a small booklet in English is available containing historical information about the church and the works it contains. Religious services are still held in this church. Be careful with your dress code; I haven't seen an explicit code, but I would avoid ripped pants, skimpy clothing, or shirts with disrespectful writings or images.

While Santorini is famed for its whitewashed houses and blue-domed chapels overlooking the caldera, the Hagia Sophia Cathedral stands out as one of the island’s most serene and spiritually moving landmarks. Nestled away from the main tourist buzz of Fira and Oia, this cathedral offers a quiet escape where architecture, history, and faith beautifully converge. From the moment you approach it, the Aegean-blue dome contrasting against the blinding white façade immediately captures your attention. The exterior architecture reflects the island’s classic Cycladic style, yet the cathedral also bears the graceful influence of Byzantine tradition — reminiscent of the grand Hagia Sophia of Constantinople, though on a much more intimate and local scale. Inside, the ambiance is deeply peaceful. The frescoes and icons are remarkably well-preserved, radiating a sense of timeless devotion. Sunlight filters through small arched windows, softly illuminating the golden details of the iconostasis — a perfect setting for quiet contemplation or photography that captures more than just beauty; it captures emotion. What truly makes Hagia Sophia Cathedral special, however, is its lack of commercialization. Unlike many over-touristed spots in Santorini, this site feels authentic and spiritual. The gentle ringing of church bells and the fragrance of incense remind visitors that this isn’t just a monument — it’s a living place of worship.

Located on Aristotle Square in Thessaloniki, Σαββίκος is a beloved fast food spot offering classic menu items alongside popular tortillas like the Gyrlou (Girlu) filled with pork or chicken and oriental spices. With over 60 years of experience, Σαββίκος has become renowned for its traditional Souvlaki and Gyros recipes, catering to diverse tastes.
So good! And in such a great place. Thumbs up for the vegan “gyros”, it was delicious. We had an early lunch here, the terrace was basically full by 11:30. Sitting on the square and enjoying the sea view was very nice even though the restaurant was busy. Good service, nice staff. Also the inside is very nice. Great prices. They also do breakfast and desserts, but mostly grilled meat.

The dish with kebabs was so juicy and tender I was slightly disappointed with dry souvlaki though. Otherwise wonderfully spiced and delicious. Staff were very friendly despite the amount of people and work they had to deal with.

I tried the Yaourtlu kebab here — it came without strong spices, served on a special yogurt-based sauce with fries and onions on the side. The meat was tasty and went really well with the sauce. The restaurant is very central, and while eating you can enjoy the view of one of Thessaloniki’s busiest streets.
Ersin B — Google review
I would say not the classic gyros - the sauce is not tzatziki and the meat is a little different from the classic gyros. The flatbread they serve in is thin and tasty and one of the main impressions for me. Prices are normal, even cheap for the center of Thessaloniki.
Sveto R — Google review
Too pricey for their portions. Really disappointed. The feta also looks really sad. Doesn't look like it's actually worth 6€. I don't think I'll come back. Wouldn't recommend except if you're a tourist because it's at a good place in the city with a nice view.
Laz T — Google review
The place was so loud that you couldn’t hear your own voice. The outdoor seating is on a platform and bounces terribly every time someone walks by. The food wasn’t bad but just standard fare. If you like crowds, go for it. Otherwise find a different restaurant.

Cin Cin is a trendy establishment in Thessaloniki that offers a unique and fresh experience in the city's bar scene. Despite not having a traditional bar, the venue boasts a chic and tropical-inspired setting where skilled bartenders craft each cocktail from scratch. The Shibui of Aesthesis menu features inventive creations such as the Nut A Martini, known for its earthy flavors. Additionally, the attentive staff ensures a seamless experience for visitors.
The atmosphere is EVERYTHING. Try to get a seat in the garden! It’s so beautiful and cool to be right beside the ruins! That pancake stack was IT. The egg dishes were a good attempt of American brunch but lacked flavor. Get the pancakes!!!!!

Inventive dishes and great atmosphere. The steak was incredible, and the ndakos salad with watermelon was super inventive and tasty. The only thing I didn’t like was that the salads had far too much dressing, it was a bit overpowering.

Very nice place and backyard, atmospheric, close to nature! Amazing ice coffee (freddo espresso) is a definitely must that you should try, very nice aftertaste of the coffee. Although the waitress was not that friendly with us (sthng with Employer?) . Service was nice but we couldn't resist commenting on the bad vibe (hospital style? ) of their uniform . We tried dishes from the brunch menu, food was very nice and tasty but very small portions for the money you give, probably because the place is always crowded, so they can have plates a little bit more pricy $$$.Also our eggs weren't poached at all... And the peinirli dish wasn't looking as in other photos. I think it deserves around 4.2, it has 4.4 now so I put 4 stars!. Also be careful of their tap water is a little bit more strange ( funny taste) than usual in Thessaloniki!
Alex Z — Google review
It’s a really beautiful decorated restaurant, I absolutely love this style. I have eaten many times and the food is nice although 2 times all of the things that we ordered were slightly different in taste. I like eating at a place and everything to be consistent every time that I go there. The cocktails are amazing. The service most of the time is good but there are times that the staff is rude and they make you wait while there are empty tables to sit. The prices are high as the quantity is small but I can understand this as this place is located in the heart of Thessaloniki and it’s a big space.
Pella P — Google review
My wife and I came here for lunch on Sunday. The place is very nice, with a good atmousphere and design. We sat inside as it was busy, in a cozy corner. We had the salmon japanese style and farmers salad to start, they were excellent and I liked some of the originality and presentation. For the main I had a pulled pork chop with smoked paprika sauce which was superb. My wife had a pasta dish, it was a little too salty so she sent it back (accidents happen). They apologised and replaced it and the replacement was excellent. Then came a profiterole desert to finish. The prices were fair and overall this was an excellent place to visit. My wife said her cocktail was good too (I had wine). We will be coming again and will recommend to others.
Alex I — Google review
The music was unbearably loud. Our table of four couldn’t have a single group conversation, we had to shout just to be heard by the person next to us. This is supposed to be a restaurant, not a nightclub. When I told the manager the music was too loud, he flat-out refused to acknowledge it. Completely ruined the evening. I won’t be coming back.

Eclectic restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Clochard is a renowned dining establishment in Thessaloniki, offering a blend of traditional, eastern, and international modern cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on serving elegant dishes made with fresh daily products and homemade recipes prepared with creativity and care. With an extensive wine selection, Clochard provides a top-notch gastronomic experience accompanied by exceptional service. Situated near Aristotelous Square, it is considered one of the city's premier fine dining options.
I visited with many colleagues. First, I would like to say the service was impeccable, glass was never empty, always someone checking if we needed anything but not in an intrusive way. The food was really good, the gnocchi I had as a starter was probably the best I had. My Italian colleague agreed it was very good. The meat for the main course was medium rare which I have ordered but wasn't the same quality as Swedish. I don't do dessert but those who did were happy with them. The toilets were clean as well. There is a bit of notice from the street but not too bad.

We visited this restaurant because someone has recommended it. First, we selected many items from the menu that were not available. Then we ordered some salads and a raw fish which tasted good, we also ordered pasta which came in a good presentation but had an average taste. We also ordered a grilled fish that took a very long time to be served, and when it finally came, it was undercooked. I spoke to the waiter about the undercooked fish, so he suggested replacing it with another one, but at that time we refused because we were already feeling full and did not want to wait long for the new fish, so the waiter told us that he will take the plate to the kitchen to let the chef check the item, but he never came back with any response and didn’t take any action. I wonder how would anyone think about such an experience.

If you're in Thessaloniki and in the mood for a good steak, this is the place to go. The interior has a beautiful atmosphere, while the small garden is located right on the pedestrian path, where there's usually a lot of foot traffic. The selection of beef is impressive, and everything we ate was high-quality and delicious. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the glass of red wine I ordered — if you're not planning to get a full bottle, it might be better to skip the wine by the glass.

Clochard is indeed one of the most renowned fine-dining restaurants in Thessaloniki. The food has its own character – creative, modern, and full of Mediterranean flavors. The service is excellent: professional but also warm and friendly, which makes the whole experience really enjoyable. They also have a great wine list with both Greek and international choices. Everything from the atmosphere to the desserts was spot on. Highly recommended if you want a special dining experience in the city!

One of the best restaurants in Thessaloniki. Food not only looks amazing, but it is also divinely tasty. Staff is polite and extremely welcoming. This is definitely a place that never dissapoints, no matter how many times you return.
Andreea B — Google review
Excellent restaurant with a lot of seemingly interesting options and really great service. It is a bit more expensive of course but the quality is worthwhile, everything was delicious, including the complimentary starter dips, all three types of nigiri and the orzo with veal cheeks.

The food was spectacular, and the service was amazing. Our waiter, Panos, was very knowledgeable about the food we ordered, and he explained everything to us very well. It's a great place, and I will be back.

Pub
The Hoppy Pub, located near the iconic White Tower in Thessaloniki, is a cozy and casual brewery offering an impressive selection of rare craft beers. With a regularly updated beer menu featuring regional Greek brews and renowned international options, this spot is perfect for beer enthusiasts seeking unique flavors. The laid-back interior provides a welcoming environment to enjoy the diverse range of draft beers available, including pilsners, IPAs, lambics, sours, and imperial stouts.
No point mincing words, the best pub in Thessaloniki! Lots of beers from independent breweries in Greece are joined by beers from all over Europe and the world. 18 beers on tap means there’s bound to be something to suit your tastes. In the unlikely event that you don’t fancy anything that’s on the taps, the vast bottle and can selection will see you right! The owner, a lovely fella named Giorgo, lives and breathes beer, and is extremely passionate about the craft beer scene. If you like beer and you’re in Greece, it’s a crime not to visit, especially as it’s so close to the white tower and sea front too.

Early evening visit, looked after - very well - by Mein Host. Good array of Bier on tap, most other Thessaloniki appear to be tied to lesser providers.

Had 2 tasting flights of boutique Greek beers (6 beers in total) 18 different beers on tap!! Great beers. Host was friendly & answered all our questions. His recommendation of food (cooked sausages with oregano) was spot on

Great wee pub just round corner from White tower. Amazing range of beers on tap, something for everyone and all tastes. Even have their version of a Dunkel (dark beer), as well as stout, porter, helles, IPA and more. Pop in, definitely worth a visit Price reflects how long I stayed and quite a few beers 🍻👍

This was a really cool place to explore and while I only tried a few beers, all the lambics and reds were great. The atmosphere was good and the bartender keep the snacks flowing. Good to explore something different in Thessaloniki.

Impressive lineup of 18 taps plus many more in bottles and cans.. Four sours on tap today plus A few craft beers from Greece and others from around the globe. The best of the best. The owner of the taproom is also the owner of 3 brothers Brothers brewery and also head of the Beer festival next weekend. There are three breweries in Thessaloniki and just over 70 in the country. This award-winning pub is a must for any serious craft beer drinker, when in Thessaloniki.
C C — Google review
If you’ve come to this town with an idea of getting your head around some of the history of craft brew, then as far as my research can tell, this bar is the earliest craft brew bar in the city. Additionally, if you’re looking for not just lager and light pale ales, you’ve come to the right place. With a broad selection of both brilliantly brewed Greek beer, as well as some exciting guest beers on tap, there was something for everyone in our party. Prices are fair, and the beer was absolutely as fresh as hoped.

Mediterranean Cosmos is a vibrant commercial complex located just outside the city center of Thessaloniki, Greece. It boasts an extensive range of nearly 150 stores offering everything from clothing, accessories, and electronics to books, jewelry, and cosmetics. Visitors can enjoy a modern shopping experience with international fashion brands and various entertainment options such as a cinema and numerous dining establishments.
Great Shopping Experience in Thessaloniki! I had a wonderful time visiting this mall during my stay in Thessaloniki. The selection of stores was excellent — from international brands to local boutiques, there's something for everyone. The place is clean, spacious, and well-organized, which made shopping very enjoyable. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants to relax in, with both quick bites and sit-down dining options. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, and the staff in the shops were friendly and helpful. Whether you're looking to shop, eat, or just enjoy a few hours indoors, this mall is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

A fairly large mall, well located depending on where you get to. We drove 15-20 minutes from Neos Epivates. A variety of shops at prices for all budgets. Big and small. The supermarket had great discounts on all kinds of things. On the top floor, where you can eat, the view from the terrace is superb. menus to choose from, for all tastes. We were in a hurry to eat because the children had multiple desires. parking 2.5 euros all day. We tested a review that said parking was free if you were shopping. The guard at the payment machines told us otherwise. We paid and not bothered. Very low cost. Worth the time spent there.

If you're heading to "Mediterranean Cosmos" in Thessaloniki (Saloniki) expecting just a simple shop, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. This place is a behemoth, a destination in itself that effortlessly blends retail therapy, entertainment, and dining under one massive, modern roof. The Vibe & Ambiance: From the moment you arrive, the scale is impressive. The architecture is sleek and airy, with plenty of natural light filtering through, making it feel more like a contemporary town square than a traditional mall. It's consistently clean, well-organized, and despite its size, it's easy to navigate. The atmosphere is bustling but not overwhelming, attracting a diverse crowd of families, teenagers, and shoppers of all ages. The Shopping Experience: This is where Mediterranean Cosmos truly shines. It’s a one-stop shop in the most literal sense. You'll find a comprehensive range of stores, from high-street fashion giants like H&M, Zara, and Pull&Bear to popular Greek brands. Whether you're updating your wardrobe, hunting for electronics at Media Markt, or browsing for home goods, you're covered. The variety is excellent, though it leans towards mainstream international and national chains rather than unique, local boutiques. Beyond Shopping: The Real Game-Changer What sets Mediterranean Cosmos apart from other malls is its phenomenal focus on entertainment. · Cinepolis: The multiplex cinema is top-notch, offering a fantastic movie-going experience with comfortable seating and a great selection of films. · Food Court & Restaurants: Don't settle for a rushed meal. The food court offers a wide array of quick options, from Greek souvlaki to Asian stir-fry. For a more leisurely experience, the surrounding standalone restaurants (like Goody's and ever-popular coffee shops) provide perfect spots to relax and refuel. · Entertainment Complex: For families, this is a godsend. The indoor playgrounds and arcade areas are a surefire way to keep younger visitors happy for hours. Location & Accessibility: Located just off the main highway on the outskirts of the city,it's incredibly easy to get to by car. The abundant and free parking is a massive plus, especially in a city where parking can be a nightmare. It's also well-served by public buses, making it accessible even if you're not driving. Mediterranean Cosmos isn't just a store;it's a lifestyle center and a perfect solution for a day when the weather isn't cooperating or when you need to tick multiple boxes off your list. It’s ideal for a full family day out, a serious shopping spree, or just a comfortable place to meet friends

Mega Outlet is a large outlet mall in Thessaloniki, Greece that carries over 80 stores with fashion, accessories, eyewear, lingerie, sportswear, and travel goods. It has more than 400 popular brands from all around the world and most of the stores have somewhat reasonable prices.
This place was packed with sportswear and regular clothing, accessories. Even though not all of the stores offer the discounts, the majority of them do. For someone looking for deals to get in bulk, this might not be the best spot. However if you are a regular individual, looking to save 10-50€ on a new shoes, I recommend visiting this store.

For an outlet it is okay, it has 4 floors. It sells a lot of athletic wear, and it has very little options besides that. The sales are very good, the outlet carries brand like Puma and Nike.
Nataliya F — Google review
A mediocre outlet. There aren't many discounted items. Occasional discounts on unpopular items. Prices are similar to online prices. I think it's a waste of time. It's not a very large store. There's a small cafe selling small snacks. There's free parking.

We go there every year, after the vacation. It is in suburb, has a big parking, and it often has good sale offers, depends of the period of year. Levis store is our favorite because of jeans, and we almost always find something for us for a good price. That particular store, and some of others, has tax free options, so don't miss it (bring your passport).
Mirjana C — Google review
The outlet is very clean including the toilets. But that's already it. Prepare for 30% discount on average. Not what we are used to if we hear "Outlet". E.g. the Intersport Shop was selling a Garmin Vivosmart 4 for 72 Euros in 2025. And it was flagged as a good deal. Garmin is about to launch version 6 soon and version 5 is regularly available at 99 Euros. We left after a disappointing tour through the building. Staff is friendly though and plenty of parking options.
Chris — Google review
Huge variety of stores, easy accessible parking, and friendly to people with disabilities. Sadly there is no free wifi and you have to get it from stores located in the mall

History Museums
The Museum of Byzantine Civilization in Thessaloniki, Greece is a top destination for those interested in the history and culture of the Byzantine period. The museum's extensive collection covers artifacts and exhibits from the early Christian period to the Ottoman Empire, with a specific focus on the 4th to 15th centuries. Visitors can explore various exhibition halls that are divided into different periods, offering insights into art, religion, and daily life during this influential era.
Wonderful museum! I was lucky and didn’t experience any of the 10 permanent exhibition being temporary closed for a lack of staff. Very organized how you flow from one room to the next, free audio guide which can be downloaded over WiFi and nice staff. Everything you’d expect from a well-kept museum. I came closer to closing, 1 hr is not enough, I think I skipped a room and skimmed over a couple others due to time. The artwork and artifacts are beautiful and for only 8 euros, I think it’s a great deal.
Hak B — Google review
The museum from its exterior looks great. They have captured the Byzantine style of architecture. You see that a lot of work has gone into making this museum. There were a lot of amazing artifact, mosaics, frescos etc….to see. Although I thinkk this museum was lacking on staff. We were even told that because they are understaffed only 4 out of the 12 exhibits were open to the public. The guides in those open rooms were more like guards and were always on their phone. Everything is supposedly digitalized. What’s the point of guides then? Just employ guards. Anyway at least what was open was amazing to see what remains from the Eastern Roman period, but more then half the museum was closed of so it didn’t justify the 8 euros price tag. Visit if it’s fully open.
Filip T — Google review
Small but beautiful museum with a fabulous collection of Byzantine art. The staff are very friendly, and the exhibits are well presented. Be careful around some of the displays though, there are small steps in front and when my daughter accidentally touched it, the alarm went off! The cafeteria and gift shop are currently under renovation, which was a bit disappointing, but overall it was still an awesome experience.
Yao C — Google review
The museum is stunning, both from the outside and the inside. Definitely worth a visit. They have a large collection of Byzantine artifacts. Although I'm not usually a big fan of history, I found this museum genuinely interesting and you can feel how important it is for the Greek people. The ticket costs 8€, while the kids under 18 enter for free. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, it wasn't overcrowded when we visited, so you can take your time and explore at your own pace. About an hour and a half is enough for the full visit.
Nataša K — Google review
An excellent collection excellently presented within an excellent facility. Middle Ages were not dark in the Eastern Roman Empire, which we call today Byzantium. Paintings, mosaics, decorated pottery, jewelry, and so much more display the light of a civilization whose refugees sparked the Renaissance. Truly, a wonderful experience for those who appreciate history and art. In a country so rich in archeological findings of ages ranging into the greatest depths of antiquity, such exhibits are often unduly overlooked.
George S — Google review
Absolutely worth a visit. I think the ticket was €8, which you certainly can't complain about. It was very quiet when we visited, which probably lent the whole place some serenity. If you are in Thessaloniki and you have an hour or so to spare, I think it would be well spent here.
Per J — Google review
The space is good developed: the halls, the lights, the pieces of mosaic, tombstones, vases, examples of the unique history of Byzantine. If you have a time, it's better to take a guide tour, and not to be lost in the treasure of this museum.
Oksana S — Google review
Lovely collection. Really recommend visiting during the daytime when you can see the beauty of mosaics in the sunlight. Very friendly staff and comfortable layout of the exhibitions.

The Ataturk Museum of Thessaloniki is a significant historical site as it was the birthplace and childhood home of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey. The museum is housed in the very building where Ataturk was born in 1881 and offers tours to honor his life and legacy. Despite being under Greek control at one point, the house was preserved and transformed into a monument by the government to commemorate Ataturk's contributions.
Finally, we are in the place where you were born, Atam ...Seeing the house where you spent your childhood was an emotional experience for us. Your house was incredibly beautiful, but I wish they had left the furnishings as they were. Aside from this, we can never be grateful enough for the foresight you provided and for saving our country. We had always seen your picture in high school textbooks, but being inside the house was very special

We feel lucky to have a such a great leader who still enlights us with his wisdom and ethics after nearly a century after his lifetime. A true world leader and inspiring visioner. RIP.🇹🇷. The Atatürk House Museum in Thessaloniki, the birthplace of our Republic’s founder, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is a sacred place that deeply reflects his determination and vision. Adorned with traces of the Ottoman era, the museum beautifully showcases the past and the legacy Atatürk left for future generations. Visiting this site allows you to truly feel both Atatürk’s extraordinary leadership and the profound love for the homeland.

A deeply meaningful and emotional place to visit. This is the birthplace of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk — the founder of modern Türkiye. Unfortunately, the museum was under renovation during our visit, so we could only see it from the outside. Still, standing in front of this historic house felt powerful and moving. You can truly feel the spirit of a leader who changed the destiny of a nation. A must-see landmark for anyone who respects history, freedom, and progress. 🇹🇷

It is the house where our ancestor was born and lived until he was 13-14 years old. The pomegranate tree in the garden was planted by his father Ali Riza Bey and Ataturk used to play under it as a child. Even touching that tree made me feel very beautiful. The part that impressed me the most is that after visiting the first two floors, when you go up to the last floor, as soon as you raise your head at the end of the stairs, you are faced with the wax statue of Ataturk in the opposite room, which seriously gives you goosebumps. It is open between 10:00-17:00 except Mondays, so if you are ever in Thessaloniki, you should definitely go and see it.

Nestled in a quiet alley near the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki, Iliopetra is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Helmed by Chef Giorgos Zannakis and his dedicated team, the restaurant offers a menu brimming with unique and flavorful dishes like dumplings in goats broth, prawns and cuttlefish in coconut milk, and wrasse fricassee.
This place is an absolute gem. Every dish was a symphony of flavors, especially the exquisite sushi maki roll wrapped in wine leaves. The local bottled wine was the perfect accompaniment—simply outstanding. Complimentary home made baklava dessert in chocolate sauce was also amazing. Highly recommended!

I just don't have enough words to describe how good our dinner was. The taste of every dish was almost a jichellin star experience. We had the famous taramasalata, dolmades with an asian twist, incredible cuttlefish and dentex. All was fenomenal. The waiters are also super kind and make you feel like home. I would definately come back here.

If there were more stars on to give, I would give them to this place. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Thessaloniki and probably one of top places in Greece. Thank you Chefs and lovely waitresses for this amazing wxperience.

I was late in writing a review of this place. Even so, I am still so excited that, even a few months later, I feel compelled to recommend it to every lover of good, high-quality food—and, even more, to praise its wonderfully courteous staff, without exception. The outdoor area is arranged in such a way that it enhances the overall look (since it sits right on the road), and this is yet another sign of the passion the staff and owners put into giving you a complete “experience.” Tips:A reservation is essential.

Fantastic food and unique tastes. Excellent and very friendly service. Wish it was at a better location, but it wouldn’t stop me from going again and again. Best shrimp I had so far, and the white taramas was out of this world.

Faultless experience. This restaurant has taken traditional Greek cuisine to a more modern and incredible level. The food was stunning. And we ordered a 2022 red that the staff kindly decantered given its young age. And the service provided by Vasso was a delight.
Justin B — Google review
Walked in without a reservation and the place was absolutely packed. They sat me at the bar table since I was eating solo - turned out to be the best spot in the house! Having a front-row seat to the open kitchen was such a treat. I could see everything the chefs were doing. Went with the Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumber and Tinos Graviera cheese (€10.50) and the Salted Cod with Tomatoes and Rice (€12.50). The salad was incredibly fresh and that Tinos cheese was something special - kind of nutty with a hint of sweetness that you don’t get in regular feta. Watching the chef put it together was like watching an artist at work. As for the cod dish, never tried Greek salted cod before and the flavor was intense. That initial saltiness hits you hard, but when mixed with the slightly sweet tomato rice, it created this perfect harmony. Love it and highly recommend it. Service was spot-on too. This sweet waitress with braids noticed I was dining alone and mentioned I could order half portions of certain dishes - very thoughtful! She checked in just enough without hovering. Oh, and their sparkling water comes in a huge 750ml bottle for only €3! Practically supermarket prices. Such a nice change from places that charge much more for tiny bottles. This place instantly became my most favorite in Greece and would love to visit again.
Pazu P — Google review
We dined at Iliopetra two nights in a row simply because the food was that good. Both times we had meat dishes, and they were among the best we tasted during our month-long stay in Greece. The flavors were rich and balanced, showing both creativity and precision. The salad—with small, sweet tomatoes, crisp cucumber, and flavorful olives—was outstanding, fresh, and full of character. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, and attentive, knowledgeable staff who make the experience even better. For us, Iliopetra has earned its reputation as one of Thessaloniki’s finest restaurants. It’s a place that invites you to return, and for us, it easily became a highlight of our trip.

Discover the rich flavors of the Arab world at Falafel Taste Middle East, a street food spot in Thessaloniki. Their menu caters to both vegans and meat lovers, offering falafel wraps on saj flatbread with creamy sauces, pickles, and crunchy vegetable slaw as well as Sis Tavuk and Kefta Kabobs.
If you're a falafel fan or even just falafel curious, this place is a must-visit. The falafel here isn’t just good, it’s perfectly tasty. Each bite delivers that ideal combo: a crispy, golden-brown exterior giving way to a soft, herbaceous, and flavorful center. You can tell these are made fresh, with care and serious attention to flavor. Whether it’s tucked into warm pita, plated with vibrant veggies, or served on its own, the falafel here is seriously next level. Both falafel and the chicken wrap were very tasty. Everything fresh and spici. The tabouleh salad was exquisite but the french fries could have been fried a bit more for some crispness. All in all i recommend this place 100%. The prices are fair also.

Another incredible find for vegans! I went 3 times and had the original falafel wrap, the classic falafel wrap (with baba ghanoush and tabbouleh), and the 9 falafel pieces. Everything was hot and flavourful. Tabbouleh especially was delicious. Super cute location with views of the White Tower. Lots of street seating. Mixed menu but definitely recommend for vegans visiting SKG.

Tried couple of times different things, my favorite one is the Greek falafel wrap, as the different flavors and textures from the specific ingredients make it great. Falafel wraps done In a very nice way. Many falafel or middle east places make their wraps with very heavy sauces and spices, this one has just enough for the best flavor while somehow not being that heavy.
Nikolas P — Google review
Delicious vegan options, beautiful urban atmosphere, must try place if you are in Thessaloniki.
Nándor P — Google review
Great falafel wraps. We come to eat here from time to time especially when fasting as they offer lots of vegan alternatives. The location is very central, near to the white tower and there is enough outside seating to fit approx. 20 people. I enjoy the Greek falafel wrap the most.
Marcel S — Google review
Best Falafels I've ever eaten. We had the spicy falafel wrap with hummus and it was perfect. The falafel crunchiness and taste were the perfect combo with the spicy sauce and fresh veggies.
Arielle B — Google review
Great variety, flavorful babaganoush and toppings wrapped up with falafel. Outdoor self-serve with friendly staff. Great price! Tomorrow’s lunch!

Restaurant
Duck is a farmhouse kitchen located in an industrial area of Pylaia, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The chef, Ioanna Theodorakaki, creates a unique dining experience with dishes that are difficult to categorize, using ingredients from her own garden. The menu features a variety of options such as mutton with eggplant, celery root soup with lobster, and venison with white sauce and truffle.
Had amazing dining experience. Came here for foie gras and were not disappointed. Foie gras was excellent, beef cheeks super delicious and wagyu beef steak tender and tasty. A bit away from town but well worth it!

Excellent food with great quality. It's a unique tasting experience with great flavors.

For the money you pay you don’t have the quality and service deserved! Calculate at least 100€ to 150€ depending on the wine and appetizer you get. Easily you can pay way more! Atmosphere: Tottaly unfitting for a high class restaurant! Area totally nothing exquisite to suit the menu prices. We have been sited outside in a small yard smelling manure and making the dining unbearable. Also cats were strolling beneath our feet like we were eating in a cheap Greek tavern. Service: the waiters were very young and not trained with slow response to any need. The chef was polite and warm but that was all. Food: maybe the strongest part of the experience but giving a 7/10. Must work ambiance place to be and well trained staff to elevate to the prices.

Literally, a special restaurant to dine in! Unfortunately, none of my expectations meet the requirements I had in my mind!! First of all, the salad wasn’t fresh and the main plates came to our table about 40 minutes after the salad!! I chose ravioli and in my opinion they were too thick!! I could characterize the service as excellent and the atmosphere as well. I am trying to be as honest as I could be since the price of the plates claims a stunning experience that I didn’t meet there!!

Second time. Obviously not nearly enough. Visiting Thessaloniki from Athens for business, and what a better idea to enjoy Thessaloniki's finest than with one of my most adorable friends at the most hospitable environment you can possibly imagine. Kudos on the ambience, the food, the service, the Chef. And what a Chef. She's is a diamond in the rough. Hands down the most value for money place. Least pretentious ever. Can't wait to come back. Unfortunately after summer since they will be relocating to Σχοινουσα. Lucky islanders.....

Overall a nice restaurant to enjoy your dinner here! We enjoyed differnt types of dishes and the portions are quite big i have to say which is good! Atmosphere is also good and food is also really good. Service generally was good but there were 2 things for improvement; it took 30 minutes for the main course to arrive and also the orzo was not very well cooked, although very tasty. Overall worth coming!

Disappointing experience. Average food. Not expensive considering the huge portions. But disappointing nonetheless. The service was disgusting. Very snobby and inattentive. We had to ask more than a few occasions to refill our wine glasses. We would do so ourselves but they kept the wine away from us! If you aspire to offer quality service hire more waiters so you can do so. Waiters were borderline rude when we asked what desserts are available. Only plus was the cosy vibes of the decoration. Plus the excellent valet service. Hence, the two stars. I would avoid. Not for the prices but for the lack of culinary excitement and absent service.

The Duck of Thessaloniki is a small restaurant at the outskirts of the city. The decor and experience is nice but nothing outstanding. The food is good, mainly meat but also seafood. Prices are high as expected. Wine list is one of the highlights with extensive selection of Greek and international wines. Overall a nice experience.

Wonderful restaurant with a warm ambiance. The staff was attentive, and the food exceeded my expectations.

First the things we did not like: Unfortunately the waterfall was out of service for the entire time we were there. Hopefully back in action next time.. Secondly the chef has changed and the lovely mushroom risotto as well as Linguine with prawns I think it was disappeared from the menu. The alternatives are less good, much smaller in size and not as satisfying. I am a veggitatian who sometimes eats fish and there really was not much choice for me, sadly. On the bright side, our waitress Stella was extraordinary in her service and really nice to us and we really enjoyed talking to her. It was late and the restaurant was nearly empty so she had time. Anyway, we will always return to the Hyatt and to Ambrosia, at the moment not for the food, but for the entire beautiful experience and amazing staff such as Stella. See you again soon!

Nestled in the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki, this place is on point from start to finish. You have a choice of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area overlooks the well manicured property. The service is friendly and efficient. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

Best food and service in a very beautiful environment! The waiting staff was knowledgeable and very service-minded. Especially the maitre Aris was one of a kind! Many thanks to him and his colleagues that made our evenings so special!

The view and the atmosphere is one of the best in the Hotel. The calming sound of the water and the green grass and trees everywhere make the whole experience memorable. Even though the menu is a bit limited at times, I think if you are staying at the Hotel or are in the area that his restaurant is an alright place to go to.
Pavlos W — Google review
Excellent food and great service! There wasn’t much atmosphere as I guess it wasn’t busy the evenings we ate there, but we didn’t mind.
