Cannes in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Cannes, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Cannes is a port city in the south of France and a leading resort on the French Riviera. It is known for the annual Cannes Film Festival, which is considered to be one of the world's most important cultural events. In addition, the beach promenade, named La Croisette, is a popular place for tourists to walk with famous hotels and restaurants in the area, such as the Carlton, Hotel Martinez, and the opulent Splendid Hotel.
With favorites like Médiathèque Noailles, Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes, and Le Roof at Five Seas Hotel, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Fouquet's Cannes and Steak 'n Shake Cannes Croisette so you can get the best taste of Cannes while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

The Palace of Festivals and Congresses of Cannes is a modern convention center that hosts prestigious events like the Cannes Film Festival. Adjacent to it is the historical Church of Lady of Good Voyage, which replaced the original chapel and holds significance as Emperor Napoleon's first stop upon his return from Elba in 1815. Additionally, visitors can enjoy free movie screenings on Mace Plage beach every night, courtesy of Cinema de la Plage.
If you ever get the chance to visit The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, don’t miss it! There are not many days in a year when the palace is open to tourists, so when it is - take that rare opportunity! This is not just a building - it’s where world-famous movie stars walk the red carpet. You get to see behind the scenes of the Cannes Film Festival and visit places you’d never normally be allowed to enter… unless, of course, you’re on your way to becoming a world-famous actor or director! Walking through the backstage areas, the theaters, and the press zones is truly exciting. You’ll feel the energy, the history, and maybe even a bit of the stardust left behind by celebrities.

Had been there during last September. The Palace of Festival & Congress was under renovation. But the atmosphere around the area is lovely. Try to reach early, say around 9 am. Getting a parking slot in the parking lot of the basement is easier if you reach that time. The crowd also is less. We were able to see a nice market set up around the Prom de La Pantiero. The marina situated in the area is also really good. There are enough eateries in the area where you get lovely croissant and pastries. If the market has been set up you can even get very fresh fruits.

Attended MIPCOM Cannes 2025 there. The location is very pleasing to the eye, situated on the beach with direct access to the beach promenade, the restaurant and bar district, and the shopping area. The event was reasonably well-structured thematically, divided into different levels, and well-attended, albeit not as opulent as in previous years. The outdoor pavilions, the so-called "Rivieras," were outstanding, however – they allowed you to get a few minutes of fresh air and soak up a little sun while commuting through the exhibition grounds. The expansive layout meant I ended the first day of the fair with over 20,000 steps on the exhibition grounds alone.

Spent a day in Cannes during the film festival. Great fun, lots of posers, wannabees and neverbees. Not to be missed but realise you are not going to see any of the films as it is entirely by invitation only. The "belle époque" architecture is beautiful.

Iconic and full of energy — a must-see in Cannes 🎬✨ The Palace of Festivals and Congresses is one of the most iconic spots in Cannes. Standing at the top of the red carpet stairs feels surreal — like stepping into a scene from the famous film festival. Even outside of festival season, there’s a vibrant atmosphere around the building, with people taking photos, exploring the promenade, or enjoying the sea breeze. The modern architecture contrasts beautifully with the historic charm of the city. In summer, the whole area comes alive with events, markets, and street performers. It’s also perfectly located — right by the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. If you’re visiting Cannes, this is more than just a landmark — it’s a symbol of creativity, glamour, and the spirit of the Riviera.

Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes

Restaurant
Hotel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes is a luxurious landmark hotel located right on La Croisette, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean and the red carpet during the Cannes Film Festival. With 349 rooms, including 92 suites, it can host around 700 guests at peak occupancy. The hotel's prime location allows easy access to the town's shops and the beach.
My stay at the Majestic Hotel in Cannes was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The beach club is simply amazing—stylish, relaxing, and the perfect place to soak up the Riviera sun. And the breakfast buffet? Without a doubt, the best in Cannes. The variety, quality, and attention to detail were unmatched. As a pet owner, I was so impressed by how pet-friendly the hotel is—my furry companion was welcomed with open arms and felt just as pampered as I did. A special mention to the front desk team, who were consistently warm, helpful, and professional. Lorenzo, in particular, went above and beyond—truly the best front desk agent I’ve encountered. His kindness and efficiency made all the difference. And the concierge team was equally outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile.

Have stayed at the hotel quite a few times! While no trip is without a few snags, they really will work with you to get to the best solution. Staff is helpful and kind. Location is amazing. Book a sea view room - really is worth it, especially for sunsets. Breakfast has a large selection. Recommend 10/10.

Had the pleasure of spending a few beach days here with my family. While we didn’t stay at the hotel, the staff at the beach was exceptional. They were attentive to all of our needs, and went as far as providing baskets of beach toys for our son. After looking for a beach to enjoy and being disappointed by the options available (all the other hotels had really outdated beach beds) we discovered the Barrière majestic. By far the most comfortable beds where you can just enjoy the day, everything is newly renovated and so clean. Another plus side is that it’s not surrounded by other hotels and is so much more private. Overall a wonderful experience, I recommend definitely going.

Disappointing Health & Hygiene Failure — Management Refused to Address Medical Costs! We chose the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes for its reputation for impeccable luxury and service during our multi-week, exclusively five-star European trip (09/22/25–10/10/25). Unfortunately, our stay was severely marred by a serious health and hygiene issue, which was then compounded by a deeply unsatisfactory response from management. On morning of Oct 4th 2025 my wife, Kelly , suffered multiple insect bites of unknown origin while sleeping in the bedding of our room number 724. The bites were serious enough to cause significant distress, lost sleep, and required immediate medical attention. The hotel arranged for a physician to visit, who confirmed the presence of insect bites and prescribed a course of strong medication, including Ivermectin (an antiparasitic drug), along with topical Cortisone. This required us to pay for the medical consultation and prescription out-of-pocket, expenses we would not have incurred otherwise. While the Guest Relations team did facilitate a room change, the General Manager, Mr. Charles Richez, later formally refused all requests for compensation, including reimbursement for the required medical expenses. The GM cited a lack of "conclusive evidence" (despite the documented physician's report and strong prescriptions) and offered a vague, future-use complimentary upgrade instead of resolving the current financial and physical harm. For a hotel that prides itself on luxury, this failure is unacceptable. The issue is not just the presence of a biting insect that caused physical distress, but the complete failure of the General Manager to take accountability and resolve the tangible out-of-pocket costs resulting from a health hazard on their property. I invite all future guests before choosing to stay at this hotel, to take a look at the pics taken on 10/04 and 10/07/2025 to decide themself what it looks like! Do you really want to take this risk for yourself and your family? Prospective guests should be aware that if a serious issue arises, management prioritizes denying financial liability over supporting their high-value clientele. Eduart Tare

Well Im extremely disappointed with this hotel, I understand I need to put my money in the safe but I cannot accept house keeping stealing money from my bag and hotel cant do nothing about it. 2500 euros stolen from my PRADA bag buf they cant do nothing about it. This is France in general everyone steals. Horrible never seen like that in other countries why would you even book a hotel room if its dangerous. Thats the whole point of booking a room in a hotel… For safety but doesn’t look like it applies.

We had an amazing couple of days here, exceeded our expectations and on the whole totally blown away. The staff were all very attentive and helped with any requests and recommendations. Will certainly be our regular hotel when in Cannes!

I went to the Fouquet restaurant. I drank and ate there but when I finished eating I sat in the lobby for 3mins cuz I wanted to seat and there’s a guy approaching me and said WHY ARE YOU HERE? I said I was here because I just ate at the Fouquet and he said you need to own a room here or have bought smth and he said that it’s not acceptable that your here because I saw you earlier at 8 in the main entrance, (Why I was there at 8 I WAS WAITING FOR THE RESTAURANT because service starts at 10 and it’s for breakfast at 7-9Am) he said you were taking pictures and i said OFC I was taking pictures of myself and he kicked me out I don’t see the reason of kicking out for no reason?

Don’t eat in the restaurant. I ordered a ribeye and they sent out a lukewarm warm piece of rump that was clearly cooked an hour before and left under a hot lamp. I sent it back and 5 mins later another piece of dried out lukewarm warm rump came out. I called them out and they took it away with no apology and no recognition of an awfully cooked €50 steak. Avoid!!

Located in Cannes, France, Casino Barriere Le Croisette is a popular destination for gaming and leisure. The casino boasts an array of offerings including 245 slot machines, electronic English roulette stations, poker tables, and blackjack tables. Additionally, patrons can partake in various table games such as blackjack, roulette, Sic Bo, poker, Punto Banco, and War. The venue also hosts poker tournaments throughout the year.
The casino in Cannes is absolutely stunning, and what really caught my eye were the photos of so many famous Hollywood and Bollywood stars lining the walls. It's amazing to see stars like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Aishwarya Rai, and Shah Rukh Khan among others, who’ve either visited Cannes or been part of the iconic Cannes Film Festival. It adds such a glamorous vibe to the place, making it feel like you’re stepping into the world of celebrities. One important thing to know is that you need your passport to enter the casino, so definitely don’t forget to bring it along if you want to experience the inside. It’s also super convenient as it’s located very close to the train station, just a short walk away. Whether you’re a fan of gambling or just want to soak in the luxury, this casino is a great stop while exploring Cannes.
Chaitali M — Google review
You would think a casino would have on there website essential things like the correct minimum hands for games or what to bring to be let in. Well not here, no where to be found on there website does it let customers know that unless French you must bring a passport and there minimum hand amounts don’t match up whatsoever to the real ones with it being two times as much once inside. Plus the websites “English” translation doesn’t work whatsoever, leaving people wondering what they’re even reading. Crappy experience
Noah K — Google review
If I could give it zero stars I would. This casino is like expecting Fortnum and Mason and getting a local Spar from outskirts of Glasgow… but the Spar has more atmosphere. Not sure I’ve ever been so disappointed. I could have experienced the same thing by visiting a Moto motorway services in the M6. In white jeans, heels and a white top, I was worried we would be under dressed… don’t worry - there seems to be zero dress code. If you’re expecting a casino experience with cocktail dresses, manned tables, people cheering on big wins… atmosphere full stop - this isn’t it. There aren’t many photos of it because there is nothing worth taking a photo of.

Not large in size but very nice. Staff are also very nice. Nice bar with good food selection.
Kelly M — Google review
Unfriendly staff, dealer miscounted cards at Ultimate Poker and did not even apologize! Super unprofessional - „free“ drinks at the table did not arrive in 45min after ordering, they try to not give them out. They do not change dealers regularly like in other casinos, as long as the bank wins the same dealer stays for more than 1 hour sometimes. No structured and professional process here. Very pretty & clean casino but for actually playing one of the worst experiences. Cannot recommend.
Leo G — Google review
Avoid at all costs. There is a much better casino just down the road by the JW. The entire staff is insanely rude, they literally BEG you for tips and it’s common for them to “miscount” on blackjack. Legit the worst casino I’ve ever been to.
Taylor C — Google review
Constantly miscounted cards and won’t let you have fun. After complaining about it 3 times, they reviewed the cameras and gave me my wager back, but not the winnings (blackjack). Do not go here, there’s a much better casino down the street.

Fouquet's Cannes is a luxurious and sophisticated restaurant located at 10 Boulevard de la Croisette. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, adorned with stunning portraits by Studio Harcourt, takes you back to a glamorous era. The restaurant offers refined brasserie dishes, cocktails, and champagne in a great atmosphere with excellent service. It is known for its varied buffet signed by 3 Michelin-star Chef Pierre Gagnaire and accompanied by live music.

Elegant and unforgettable! Fouquet’s Cannes delivered a truly refined dining experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious yet welcoming. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious — refined French cuisine at its best. The service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and discreet. The atmosphere combines elegance with the charm of the French Riviera, making it perfect for a romantic evening or a special occasion. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy fine dining in the heart of Cannes.
Aurel H — Google review
The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, there was a great live music band and the staff is very very friendly and helpful. But that's all I would recommend it for. You pay for the venue, view and atmosphere but the food is not spectacular. It's good but not wow. My drink with lavender was special and very nice but what you land up paying for the food, it can be much much better in my opinion. Still, just for the wonderful staff and atmosphere I would recommend to at least go for some cocktails!
Sukanya A — Google review
Fantastic meal. Beautiful setting. Beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly. Caesar salad came with crispy chicken which was a pleasant surprise. They brought out a nice sparkling dessert unannounced, though I mentioned on the reservation that it was for an anniversary.

Here is the revised review for the Fouquet's Cannes brunch at the Majestic, taking into account your changes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An exceptional brunch at Fouquet's Cannes! As soon as you enter the sumptuous lobby of the Majestic, elegance and refinement are the order of the day. The sunny terrace, overlooking the pool and palm trees of the Croisette, offers an idyllic setting. The buffet is magical, with surprises such as the perfect egg, cooked to absolute perfection. There are three dishes to choose from, each executed with finesse. The desserts are a pure delight. The service is remarkably attentive: just ask and you will be delighted, as we discovered when we requested a delicious tiramisu to share, prepared on request. The jazzy atmosphere created by the strolling band adds a festive and friendly touch. At £85, this brunch is an enchanting interlude, perfect for a gourmet Sunday on the French Riviera. Definitely worth repeating!

Went here for cocktails last week around 9:30 pm. The entire time of our visit the staff saw nothing wrong with letting another parties 3 young children run around screaming and doing cartwheels throughout the bar. This was not the classy grown-up evening i was hoping for and everyone's visit should matter.

Hamburger restaurant
Steak n' Shake Cannes Croisette is a popular chain known for its classic steakburgers and milkshakes, offering a retro diner-like ambiance. It's recommended as one of the best places to dine in Cannes, with a sunny terrace where you can enjoy a glass of rose wine. The quality of meat and generous portions of fries make it stand out among other fast food options in terms of value for money.
Best burger you can get anywhere. Seriously good, take a burger and a shake and enjoy!
Jonas K — Google review
Steak ‘n Shake was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the food surpassed what we expected, especially considering the range of incredible restaurants we’ve visited before. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to find a place where both the main courses and sides hold up so well, but here everything came together seamlessly. The staff contributed a lot to the positive atmosphere. Their professionalism was matched by a natural friendliness, and their sense of humor added a relaxed, genuine touch to the evening. They were attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed while keeping the mood light and enjoyable. Overall, Steak ‘n Shake stands out not just for its impressive food, but for the whole experience, well-executed service, quality ingredients, and a welcoming environment. It’s a restaurant I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal without any pretense.

Good Burger. It tastes literally like a premium high class Mc Donalds Double Cheeseburger - and I mean this in a very good way! Maybe with a twist of an In 'n' Out Double Double. One Double Cheeseburger + Fries + Big Drink was 14€.

Can’t beat the price for the quality in Cannes. The burger is perfectly cooked with a very nice bun. The fries are perfectly salted and we liked the cheddar sauce on the side. Definitely 10/10 every time we come to Cannes and have Steak & Shake. It’s a must visit if you like burgers.

I got a delicious guacamole burger with a home made lemonade - very tasty and refreshing. Fries are very good too. Great quality burger place! And the service is 5* (the two girls with a long braid blonde and brunette were lovely). Definitely recommend!

Worst of the chain. The service is slow and terrible. Burgers and fries were all cold and fries tasted like 3 days old. Their bathroom is always dirty. 13$ for a Burger and they can't even put soap in the bathroom. We got the kids menu and the fountain drink poured a drop of soda. When I told them, they said that's the size for the kids menu. I mean look at the picture, I can see the bottom of the cup. People next to us waited 30 minutes for a coffee. Another group waited for their order, that was keep coming with mistakes and missing items. You need to review your management

What a delightful find in the core of Cannes. We had a pre drinks on the roof top lounge area. Definitely a must if you have the time. We then headed into dinner into their quaint dining room. Our service was very efficient, and pleasant by the entire service team. Our food was spectacular, both in presentation and taste. The food pics give a glimpse of the delicious food we enjoyed. Last minute decision today to have some drinks during golden hour and watch the sunrise, so fortunately they were able to accommodate us. Had some cocktails and snacks at the bar. Every person we met was nice. Top service. Drinks and food were also 👍. Liked that they make guacamole in front of you so you know it's fresh. Definitely recommend the place!

I had a very good experience at Le Roof restaurant, thanks to Cédric and Michael who took care of us from the moment we arrived—every moment felt special. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo of the appetizer and the signature cocktails, which were very refined. I’ll definitely come back.

For the meal, the drinks and the atmosphere this place is well worth the price!

Went here for our anniversary!! What a special night. Staff were so experienced, polite attentive and helpful. The views were beautiful at sunset. Very poor experience. Me and my friend ordered a margarita and a pornstar martini, they tasted like slightly flavoured water. As the cocktails were basically un drinkable I politely expressed I wasn’t happy with paying €36 for them. Instead of offering us a different drink or any sort of discount the manager argued with us and implied I wasn’t a real bartender. His behaviour was very condescending and rude, I insisted we at least be offered a new drink since we couldn’t drink our cocktails and we then received a wine after basically having the manager argue with us. We quickly drank our wine and left, as we were leaving the staff asked how our experience was and we said not very good. The manager followed us to the lift and continued ranting at us and told us to read the positive google reviews. Not sure why there is any good reviews.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes is a charming port nestled in the heart of Cannes, dating back to the 1950s. It is a picturesque setting for boats and luxury yachts, with stunning sailboats and traditional yachts competing in the annual Royal Regatta held in September. The port offers breathtaking views of the old town of Cannes, featuring colorful facades and occasionally vibrant fishing boats. Additionally, it serves as a link between the glamorous Cannes and its authentic counterpart.
Small dock but it's really very cute and scenic. Lots of shopping and eateries. Don't book the taxi they are way more expensive then just boiling an excursion on the boat. But local transportation is very accessible. Lots of great views to see. Be careful if pick pockets as its very rampid here. The shopping is amazing here. Lots of things within walking distance. The little train is very thorough and informative.

This location has been excellent for what we needed. The facilities are very good and always kept clean. The port is very well run. The only issue we had was on the weekend the rubbish collection area seemed to pile up without collection. But there was a film festival on, so I can blame anyone for that. On occasion there were shower cubicles with soap dispensers that were not working or empty, but that's only a minor inconvenience. All in all, it's excellent here.

Nice marina in Cannes. It offers good paths for walking with beautiful scenery. It’s very relaxing and charming for evening or night strolls. 🌙

Good experience in a sunny day. We visited Palais des Festivals et des Congrès with a red carpet in front and the announcement of this year's Festival and dates just next to the port.

It's Cannes and it's what you would expect. Beautiful views, weather and the people were great. Just coming from Monaco (that was amazing also). However, don't plan on making a special trip back to either. Been there, done that.

Nice place.. Beautiful yachts and good restaurants. It is a pleasant place to walk and look at the yachts.. and when you get tired you stop at a restaurants.. to eat something and drink a glass of good wine. Pedestrian access is allowed and you can even rent boats or go on excursions. In certain periods you can also see very expensive yachts.

The Plage Macé beach in La Croisette is a great place to relax and swim. It's free to use, has clean water, and is usually quiet in the morning. There are no rocks or wind here, which makes it a calm and safe spot. The only downside is that there are not many places to sit down, so it can get crowded during the summer months.
Came to Cannes for a night during the Cannes Film Festival (2025) so I could watch the free public screenings that start from 9:30pm onwards everyday during the festival. I started to queue for it at least 2 hours before so I was fairly near the start of the queue. It did fill up quickly so I would advise queueing up early to get a deck chair spot but you could just fully bring a beach towel and sit outside the cordoned area to watch without queueing. They did provide blankets as it does get chilly, but I’d still advise bringing a light jacket if you plan to stay long.

The beach is good but i find a lot of glass in the sand and i think the showers are very dirty the water is not good but it's okay to spend a few hours

Liked it, we went there in August during weekday and it was not that full as during weekend. Water was clear.

The beaches in Cannes are sandy and beautiful, but we came here for the Cinéma de la Plage during the Festival. It was an open-air cinema with comfortable beach chairs and blankets provided. We watched Palombella Rossa, which was a perfect film to watch for the setting. There was music warm-up act with audience participation before the screening. It was so much fun. The films are in the original language with French subtitles. It was a beautiful experience.

The firework festival this year was extraordinary, as usual the beach was full of people waiting but even so you could find space to watch the show, as usual the ending was the most exciting.

Visited on a peak summer afternoon/evening. Was hard to find a place to lay our towels and relax. Otherwise a lovely beach and surrounding area. Was nice area to go for a walk post swim sessions.

Lovely beach at Cannes, not too busy as we were there in March. Very clean, a lot of work was going on for the Cannes series festival. We never knew that this existed. It was a little windy on the day we were there so we didn't stay long on the beach. But we had a good walk and will visit next time we are in the area

Croisette Beach Cannes

Beach
Located alongside the iconic La Croisette boardwalk in Cannes, Croisette Beach is a popular public stretch of sand with a rich history. The area is famous for hosting various congresses and events at the Palais des Festivals, including the renowned International Film Festival. Visitors can also enjoy tours on Le Train du Cinema, exploring attractions like Cannes old town and the Provencal market. Croisette Beach itself offers a spacious sandy shore catering to all visitors, including those with special needs.
Great beach with plenty of things to do: swim to the sandbank or enjoy a variety of marine activities. Or simply just take a relaxing stroll along the beach. 😁

Nice beach, was my favourite, but right now coz of all construction projects going around not so quiet... But still beautiful, if u find your spot.
Domi D — Google review
One of the best beaches I visited in the region, with excellent infrastructure and soft, clean sand. 🏖 The beach feels safe, especially for families, thanks to the shallow water and gentle, gradual slope that extends far out. It can get very crowded, but it’s still a great spot overall. The main downside is the layout - the central section is taken up by private areas, leaving only the sides for public use. Also, the sunbed vendors are quite pushy and persistent - it feels like a scene from a movie! 🎬📽

Wow what an amazing beach. Miami vibes. Super clean. Big. Showers. Washrooms are very clean. The ladies sitting there and managing the Washroom are doing an amazing job. Cannes was my favorite city between Nice and Monte Carlo. Will stay here a week next time.

Visited during the low season but still impressive nonetheless the less; particularly the colour of the water after in had rained. Cafes, shops, hotels and restaurants all around the beach and pier.

Nestled along the stunning bayfront, Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel, is a luxurious retreat that has recently undergone an impressive transformation. This iconic establishment boasts upscale rooms and suites equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, alongside exclusive amenities like a private beach and an indulgent spa. After years of restoration work, guests can now enjoy seven new opulent studios and a penthouse within its expansive grounds.
We had a fantastic time at the Carlton. The facilities and service were exceptional. A particular highlight for us was our dinner and drinks at Camelia. Our server, David, was a fantastic host with exceptional knowledge and perfect recommendations. He helped make a truly memorable evening for us and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. Thank you!

Our stay at the iconic Carlton Cannes was absolutely amazing. Cannes was lively, but the Carlton was a calm, elegant escape. We arrived before check in and were warmly welcomed with glasses of Moët and snacks. Perfect after our long drive. Our suite was upgraded and beautifully prepared, with a thoughtful amenity waiting for us. The room was luxurious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail throughout the hotel is on point, from the floral arrangements to the smiles greeting you from every corner. The pool was warm and relaxing, and both dinner and breakfast at Riviera Restaurant were exceptional. The beach club was pure joy! Sun, sea, and perfect cocktails. The hospitality and genuine care from everyone made this stay perfection! We stay at IHG hotels often, but the Carlton Cannes truly stands above. Merci for everything!

The hotel was beautiful and the location could not have been better. It was very easy to walk around the entire city and including old town and the harbors. Everyone on the entire staff that you’re keeping in contact with was extremely nice and helpful. There were three people in the lounge area that really went above and beyond (Sebastian, Vincent, and David). Thank you everyone for making my wife’s birthday amazing.

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights in a premium sea view room. I certainly recommend paying for the upgraded room size no matter the view you choose, as rooms are not large. Housekeeping service was fine but a bit sloppy compared to similar resorts in the south of France, certainly nothing to write home about. In regards to restaurants we had a great experience. Gilles was our server at the tea room in the lobby- he was most excellent the two evenings we dined there, very kind and provided good service. We enjoyed great food and drinks in a lovely setting here both times. We loved our buffet breakfast at Riviera and all our servers as well as the host staff was fantastic when we dined at Riviera. Bar 58 also was a fun experience with great cocktails. Did not try the other restaurant but menu looked good. The Carlton Beach club is iconic and beautiful with lovely food menu and service. However, was surprised to find it not “closed” but limited to only 20 chairs for 2 of the days of our trip which did impact our ability to go there. We had to seek out neighboring beach clubs which was less than ideal when we chose this resort in part for its beach access. The valet staff was great and efficient, always kind and welcoming. The concierge was okay, did not seem to understand what sorts of recommendations we wished for. Did not make particular efforts to solve the beach club issues and we had to specifically find beach clubs on our own. The fitness center and spa are most excellent facilities and were not crowded during our stay. Overall, it is a beautiful hotel with great restaurants, though areas of service could be improved as well as room housekeeping and general concierge as well as communication about availability of services. It certainly has potential to be great given its history and location!

We came here today to remember my mother. The Carlton was one of her favourite places and she last visited a few weeks before her death in August. We can understand why she enjoyed it here so much. Thank you Davide, for looking after us in such a sensitive way, and, santé Maman - bon voyage. X

A Grand Icon of the Riviera, elevated by world-class service The Carlton Cannes isn’t just a hotel, it’s an institution. From the moment you walk through its famous doors, you’re reminded what true, old-world luxury feels like: elegant, effortless, and timeless. The service is exceptional. Every staff member greets you with genuine warmth, somehow, each more gracious than the last. The suites are stunning, with balconies offering some of the most memorable sunsets I’ve ever experienced (the only place that has rivaled them for me is Santorini). The décor strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. We did, however, encounter a few early hiccups, the air conditioning in our initial room wasn’t working properly, and the shower had some drainage issues. Initially, we were disappointed after speaking to the agent at reception, especially with my wife being pregnant at the time. But as fate would have it, this small mishap turned into the highlight of our stay because it introduced us to Aida, from the hotel’s guest relations team From the very first moment, Aida handled our concerns with an extraordinary level of care and professionalism. She took the time to listen, empathize, and fully understand our needs, and then executed everything flawlessly. Every detail was addressed quickly and with genuine thoughtfulness. As a business owner myself, I rarely encounter someone who not only resolves a problem but manages to transform the entire guest experience into something unforgettable. Before meeting Aida, we were considering switching hotels. After meeting her, we not only stayed, we decided that the Carlton Cannes will be our home base in the south of France for years to come. She turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a story of exceptional hospitality. Aida didn’t just fix our stay; she elevated it. She made us feel truly seen and valued. We left the hotel not only as loyal guests but as genuine admirers of her professionalism and kindness. Thank you Aida, from the bottom of our hearts. DINING Riviera, Ruya or the Beach Club. Take your pick. All were excellent. Individual reviews to follow ROOMS & FACILITIES The rooms, recently renovated, feel elegant, warm, and modern while keeping their heritage charm. Beds are plush, bathrooms well appointed, and the second room’s air conditioning worked perfectly (the first room’s didn’t, but that was swiftly resolved). Housekeeping went above and beyond, especially after learning about our pregnancy, a thoughtful touch we truly appreciated. Valet service was fast and reliable. That said, if you don’t need a car, you can save the €90/day parking fee. Cannes is very walkable, and Uber works great for trips to Antibes or a train to Monaco if needed. The spa was decent and our couples massage was enjoyable though not particularly memorable. As we didn’t use the gym facilities, we can’t comment there. The hotel’s exterior, of course, speaks for itself. It’s a landmark, so iconic that tourists regularly stop to take photos in front of it. FINAL THOUGHTS Despite a few minor issues at the start, the Carlton Cannes delivered an unforgettable experience, thanks entirely to the impeccable care of Aida (and the rest of the staff). She turned a small inconvenience into a defining moment of hospitality excellence. We travel often and have stayed at many world-class properties, but this experience truly stood out. Because of her, we can confidently say: we’ve found our home in Cannes. A grand hotel made even grander by the people who run it.

The JW Marriott Cannes is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Croisette, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and classic elegance. We ended our trip here for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon and could not be happier. Location of the hotel is perfect. Close to all the action and right near all the designer shops which was great for my wife (but unfortunate for me). The service was top notch - from the staff that greeted us and took our bags to the front desk staff, to everyone in between, service was great. Our room had an issue with the shower draining and they immediately remedied the situation by giving us an upgraded room on the top floor. The concierge, Karim Cheddad, was top notch. Excellent recommendations and every day he got us a reservation at exactly the type of place we wanted and at the exact time we wanted, even if it was at one of the most popular restaurants in the city. He was also a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all of our questions. He definitely added to our experience in a big way and I encourage anyone to take advantage of having access to a professional like him. As a side note, the roof deck/pool was also nice. Great views of the ocean and great place to relax. Overall we loved our experience and we will be back.

We spent 6 nights at JW in July and overall enjoyed our stay. Check-in: We wanted to upgrade our room to a suite. It showed available online but the front desk had a hard time actually finding it in their system. After a few calls back and forth, they sorted it out and we got checked in early. The front desk staff was super friendly. Staff: All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Location: The hotel is in a nice location in Cannes. It made it so easy to walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Spa/Gym: We did not visit the spa but we went to the gym each morning. The gym was very small with only 2 treadmills, an elliptical, a few free weights and once weight machine that did just a little. It was crowded on a couple of mornings with people running on the treadmills for over an hour. A hotel if this size should have a larger gym to accommodate more guests. Food/Room Service: We ordered room service several times during our stay and we were always happy with the food. The food arrived quickly and was hot. We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant. Room: We upgraded to a Sea View Suite and were happy with our choice. We were on the 2nd floor over the outdoor bar, but it was never loud or bothersome. We always never heard any road noise. The A/C worked well, and the bathroom and closet were large and well appointed. Water: Housekeeping provided bottled water each day when they cleaned which was nice. Pool: The pool is on the rooftop overlooking the sea. We didn’t visit it but heard it was nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we are back in Cannes.

This place is a run down 1 star hotel. We paid for a suite and a connecting room which the door was not functional between . Not only was the door not functional, but there was mold connecting them. There’s also rotting wood and obvious signs of water damage throughout the entire room. When we tried to close the curtain the first day, the entire curtain fell from the ceiling. Things are broken off and worn, but the door connecting the rooms was never fixed except for a slab of paint to cover up mold! This place is a health hazard. We even had water coming from the ceiling! The housekeeping comes whenever they want and clean whatever they seem fit, not changing our glasses etc. We were upgraded to a garden view … see pictures, of the garbage and AC vents. The management is incredibly deceitful and don’t fix any problems. Avoid at all cost Of note, being offered a room change was not an option since we paid for a connecting room and they were unable to provide another connecting room which was essential for our family’s need. See photos. Some of these were the day we left so these repairs were in fact never done. Inexcusable.

My wife and I came here for 5 nights for a “babymoon” celebration, and could not have picked a better location! We were upgraded to a beautiful ocean-view suite with a walk-in closet, balcony and a huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub. We checked in late at night, and the next afternoon we were treated to a lovely welcome/celebration gift by room service. The concierge also helped us out several times finding activities and services in the nearby area. The only downside to the hotel was the lack of spa facilities, but the concierge is more than willing to direct you to a nearby spa that can fulfill any need you may have.

Fantastic location, friendly staff, and beautiful facilities. While the rooms are on the smaller side, you’re right on the beach and within walking distance of everything—who wants to stay in the room all day anyway? The concierge desk can get busy given the size of the hotel, but Gregory was incredibly helpful with dinner and drink recommendations, knowing exactly where we needed reservations and where we could walk in last minute. He made me a list of 10 places! Karim was also very welcoming and kind.

Amazing stay :) We always choose Marriott because you always know what to expect, excellent service, cleanliness, nice rooms... But staff in this hotel is really special. Special thanks to Saloua (I hope i got the name right) for amazing customer service, many good recommendations and a lovely handwritten note for our babymoon 🥰 We celebrated many things in Marriott hotels but we always kept them private but with Saloua we felt like talking to a friend and felt comfortable to share a part of our private life. Except the amazing customer service hotel looks really nice, breakfast is good, restaurant is good... There are a few things that we didn't like... If you want to park your car by yourself you will lose like 20min to go there and back and it cost €30 and if you want someone else to bring your car for you it's similar waiting time and €50. It didn't bother us too much because we didn't use our car so often. And if you want really quiet place, it's definitely not for you :) But i guess that's something you should expect in that area. Overall great hotel...

Marché Forville is a bustling indoor market located at the base of ancient Le Suquet in Cannes. It offers a wide variety of local produce, flowers, seafood, cheese, and more. The market is open six days a week and transforms into an antiques market on Mondays. Visitors can explore the colorful stalls filled with florists, cheesemongers, fishmongers, bakeries, and other food vendors offering continental delicacies.
Get a real sense of how the locals market and enjoy some beautiful food, wine and a great atmosphere too! The passion for quality is absolutely evident on every stall.

Wonderful market for fresh produce. We got loads of fresh bread from the boulangerie and some herbs and spices to take back home. It was a feast for the senses. Definitely worth a trip.

We arrived in Cannes at 10am and went straight to the Marché for breakfast. It felt so local and authentic to be there, surrounded by the lively market vibe. The only downside was that most stalls only accepted cash, so we had to pause our shopping and walk to the ATM on the corner. Once sorted, we enjoyed two small sandwiches that were super tasty—simple, fresh, and just perfect. A great way to start the day in Cannes! 🥖✨

Good-sized market with a variety of local items you often won’t find in supermarkets or other shops. Some produce can be hit or miss, and prices are a bit on the much higher side, but it’s a great place to discover unique, local goods.

Perched atop Le Suquet Hill in Cannes, Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance, also known as Lady of Hope Church, is a Gothic-style stone church dating back to the early 1600s. This historical landmark offers visitors a serene escape from the bustling city below. The interior boasts a blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, adorned with statues and fine wood paneling. Two chapels dedicated to craftsmen's brotherhoods add character to the church's ambiance.
Église Notre-Dame d’Espérance in Cannes is a true piece of historic art, standing proudly atop Le Suquet with breathtaking views of the city and sea. What I really love about this church is that you can see the whole city of Cannes and from the bottom, from the bus station to the top, you have to walk slowly for about 20 minutes. It's 100% worth it

Beautiful. Calm. A place to visit in Cannes, especially if you’re planning a short walk from the port. Initiated in 1521, the church’s construction spanned over a century, concluding in 1641. It was officially dedicated to Our Lady of Hope on March 25, 1645, coinciding with the Feast of the Annunciation. On my picture you can see the Statue of Our Lady of Hope: A 16th-century gilded wooden statue, donated by the Abbey of Lérins, stands prominently above the high altar.

Beautiful old church on top of the hill where the origin of Cannes begin. Nowadays a beautiful square with a great view over Cannes. The pines on the square create a welcome shadow on a hot summer day. You can visit the church and/or castle by foot (either walking up the road or taking stairs) but this place is also visited by the tourist train which starts at Palais de Congres.

Le Troquet à Soupes is a charming spot in Cannes that specializes in soups, offering a daily selection including options like onion soup and fresh butternut and ginger. While they do have meat dishes, there are also plenty of vegetarian delights such as gazpacho, chickpea salad, and the oeuf cocotte. The restaurant provides a refreshing alternative to heavy meals with its homemade soups, salads, quiches, and omelettes.
Loved it! The lady who owns the restaurant is so sweet and everything is made by her. An adorable local cafe that I recommend everyone to visit while in Cannes. I had wine, soup and vegetarian raclette. Enjoyable time. The filled up restaurant quickly filled up after we got there.

Loved this place. We ordered the onion and lentil soups. You could tell the broth was homemade. The cook doesn't season the soups with much salt so you need to add your own to suit your tastes (which worked well for us). Small and cozy space. Cook/server was very friendly. Their apple and lemon pie is to die for. Incredible. Puff pastry with a very slightly custardy and buttery fruit filling. Worth checking out.

Nice finding a decent vegan-friendly restaurant in such a central location, the Cannes old town. The owner was happy to explain to us the different vegan options. I got a gazpacho and a chickpea salad which were good but not incredible. My friend got a lentil soup which was also good. Keep in mind that, as the name suggests, the menu mainly consists of soups.

Small woman owner makes clean and healthy soups, vegan haven. Pumpkin and chestnut soup was shredded rather than blended so you get nice texture. The mushroom and onion soup de jour had plenty of mushroom. Both soups tasted very healthy and clean without a stick of butter or cream as you’d expect of French cuisine. She uses olive oil and tries to make them vegan, she said. The owner speaks good English too and is very nice.

Service with a smile :) We ordered chef's special (chili) and onion soup. Both did not disappoint and exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend this place for a quick lunch when you are in Cannes.

Mediterranean restaurant
Mademoiselle Gray Plage Barrière is a stylish beach club and restaurant located on La Croisette, offering a perfect combination of laid-back beach vibes and culinary elegance. The venue boasts stunning views of the sea, making it an ideal spot to enjoy Mediterranean living while savoring exquisite dining experiences. With its private stretch of La Croissette Beach, Mademoiselle Gray is known for its pristine views and vibrant atmosphere with DJs playing in the background.
We had a fabulous Easter lunch here, the food was absolutely delicious, the menu leaned creative Mediterranean, like coriander falafel, tuffle hummus, etc, but also had traditional dishes, I had grilled prawns on a bed of peas, delish. The DJ was good, so the atmosphere was really nice. We had several different servers, one lacked personality completely, but the rest were good, so overall, the service was good. I think the prices were fair for the food and setting. This is definitely going on to our regular rotation of restaurants!

Lovely beach club with some lovely members of staff that looked after us. Relaxing atmosphere with some nice music that livened up early afternoon 🫶🏼Christophe & Natasha especially looked after us and were so kind! Highly recommend. Price of our beach bed was £53 which was a good price compared to other places!

The food and service were outstanding. Great seats, they also gave us towels to cover ourselves because we were cold during the fireworks. Amazing experience. They’ve also made my friend’s birthday really special. 100% recommend to anyone coming to Cannes.

One of the best private beach in Cannes. Excellent welcome at arrival, always with a smile, and even better you're accompanied to the sunbed with the towels. Quite different from other private beaches. The nice surprise lays in the restaurant, for the variety of dishes, quality of ingredients and especially the service. Try the St Pierre fish served with smashed potato & summer truffle. We were served by Goran at restaurant and the gentle Fabio at the beach. What a pleasure to be asked always if everything is OK. The boss Olivier, full of joy, jokes and interesting subjects to discuss with. Lovely person at all aspects. Merci Olivier for the change of transat, highly appreciated If you want to spend nice time and eat in a private beach in Cannes, no need to waste your time elsewhere, ask for Olivier in Mademoiselle Grey Grey ⛱️

LOVED this place! It's near the end of a long string of beach restaurants, so a bit quieter and less crowded but awesome location right on the water. Decor was beachy/cool. See pics. Food was elevated and less casual, like lobster pasta. Grilled chicken dish was a large kebab. Fish crudo was good but covered with too much toppings. Large selection of cocktails! My husband, son, and I each ordered a different kind and thought we each had the best one. Service was very good. Clean restrooms. Large restaurant with a bar area, as well as many tables on the beach. Upscale beach attire. Recommend making a reservation.

This is a really nice restaurant and beach club. Book the beach club in advance if you want to go as there is no space on the day in peak season. We were able to walk in to the restaurant for lunch. Great vibes and good selection of clearly marked vegetarian dishes. One vegan main course (falafel poke bowl) and a number of vegan tapas dishes (hummus, falafel, salads, green beans). Double check items are vegan with the server. We found the fatoush salad was marked vegan despite containing feta but they were able to make a vegan version without the cheese. South of France is notoriously difficult to find vegan options so it’s brilliant to find some options in a mainstream restaurant. The service was very friendly - a bit slow at times but that suited us as we didn’t have anywhere else to go. Kindly they bought us hand fans as the weather was so hot which was a nice touch. I’d definitely go back if I was in town again.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at this absolutely wonderful restaurant with a group of six, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The food was simply outstanding — every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service deserves its own special review: attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring from start to finish. A huge thank you to the entire team for making the evening so memorable and full of joy. Highly recommended!

Food was delicious. Staff were a bit judgy on arrival and were confused about our reservation as it was on a day that was fully booked. Waitress was also a bit distracted while taking our order and was giggling with a staff member and didn’t even hear me making my choice of food and made me repeat back what I wanted. She also wasn’t attentive to missing cutlery and napkins on the table despite the restaurant not being extremely busy at the time. Despite not the best service, the food was worth the visit. I got the chicken supreme and the chicken itself was very juicy and marinated well. The avocado paired perfectly together.

Nestled in the heart of Cannes, Palais Stéphanie Beach is a luxurious beach club and restaurant that offers a perfect combination of lively ambiance and stunning vistas of the Mediterranean Sea. With its plush lounge chairs, stylish umbrellas, and elegantly adorned cabanas, this beach destination sets the stage for a day filled with relaxation and enjoyment.
The beach at Palais Stephanie is the ONLY place to be in Cannes in the summer. Friendly, clean and exceptional service. There is always a super warm welcome by everyone but especially Clemence and Thibault who work on the jetty. They are warm, welcoming and always attentive and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Great guys.

Outstanding service from start to finish! Thibaut was incredibly attentive—always present without ever being intrusive, smiling, responsive, and truly professional. On the pontoon, he created the perfect balance of relaxation and elegance, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Everything was smooth, thoughtful, and handled with genuine passion for his work. Thank you, Thibaut, for making this moment unforgettable! 🌟

We had an excellent time at this beachfront establishment, which perfectly combines relaxation, quality service, and an idyllic setting. The atmosphere is pleasant, the place is well-maintained, and the view of the sea is simply stunning. A special thank you to Clémence and Thibault, two exceptionally kind and highly professional servers. Always smiling, attentive, and efficient, they truly enhanced our experience. Their sense of service and constant good mood deserve to be highlighted. We highly recommend this place, whether for a relaxing drink, a seaside lunch, or a full stay at the hotel. We’ll be happy to come back.

Disappointing upon arrival when asking for a table. The hostess was short and rude as we were directed to our table. We were a table of four, eating lobster rolls for lunch. The "lobster roll" was a mayonnaise sandwich with one bite of lobster. When I communicated this to the waiter he angrily explained that all the other customers love these rolls and I am the one with the problem. I told him I am not paying 42 euro for a mayonnaise sandwich and he started screaming "You will pay!" Repeatedly. Bad food and very poor service.

A place I keep coming back to — for good reason. I’ve been visiting the Palais de Stéphanie Beach Club for over five years now, and every visit feels like coming home to my happy place. The location is unbeatable – right in front of the Marriott in Cannes, with the most beautiful view of the sea. I love spending the day on the pier – that’s where I truly unwind. I’ve brought countless friends here from Zürich, and without exception, they’ve all fallen in love with this place. A huge thank you to Christophe, Gauthier, Clemence, Valentin, Julien, Johanna and a lot of other employees with so much care and professionalism. The service is consistently excellent – warm, attentive, and personal (they put a lot of effort). Great food, amazing team, and a vibe that’s relaxed yet elegant. I always have the time of my life here (not only me). Thank you to the whole crew – I’ll keep coming back, again and again, until you accept us 🤪

Just had the fireworks dinner having done it for 4 years and what a disappointment it was. I dont expect much as you are paying for the experience of dinner on the beach with fireworks, but this was just plain bad. They could have just kept the meal simple and it would have been fine. The creations were a straightforward fail. I was looking around to see if it was just us. It was not. Many were complaining and did not eat more than a few bites. Even worse is the credit card machines not working, needing to stand in line to pay, and then a bouncer not letting people leave without showing a receipt. This is cannes. I just spent over 1100 euros, and it like I'm paying at some buffet. Unfortunately, this will be our last beach dinner here. Time to try one of the others. The fireworks, however, are amazing every year.

Italian restaurant
Tredici is a beloved Italian restaurant in Cannes, offering homemade Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. Located in the quiet street of Le Suquet district, it's popular for its unpretentious ambiance and warm service. On Tuesdays, guests can savor discounted pizza with luxurious toppings like truffle and burrata. The restaurant also offers a variety of dishes such as schnitzel Milanese and delectable pasta, making it an ideal gourmet stopover during a visit to Cannes.
I enjoyed an unforgettable lunch at this restaurant. The fish was cooked to perfection, the pizza was bursting with flavor, and the non-alcoholic cocktail was refreshing and refined. I felt as though I’d been transported to Italy, embraced by a truly charming atmosphere. Without a doubt, one of the finest spots on the French Riviera.

The staff was very attentive and even apologized about the food. We came in quite hungry, and I ordered the pasta with clams – unfortunately, it was disappointing: lacking in flavor, very oily, and with no real seasoning. My boyfriend, however, really enjoyed his truffle pasta. Despite the mixed food experience, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff extremely friendly. However, in the end we still had to pay for everything, even though we had been offered a dessert or a digestive beforehand as a gesture free of charge.

Stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night in October. It wasn’t too crowded, and we were able to be sat immediately. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They even had blankets at the outdoor tables for the chilly nights. I ordered a lavender spritz to drink and my friend and I split the bucatini with Parmesan cream and sea bass. Everything was delicious and moderately priced. I would love to go back for the pizza sometime. The servers were attentive and kind. Everyone spoke excellent English (which is never expected but always appreciated since we are in France after all:)).

Restaurant Went mid day so there were a lot of free seats. The server were very kind and the food delicious. We had pizzas (vegetarians without cheese and bufalla). Go there and explore the old town and Le Suquet garden! The Ambiente was nice as well!
Marina B — Google review
Service was quick and the food also came quickly and was delicious. The past week we’ve been in Paris and Nice and as a couple agreed this is the best meal and service combo we have experienced so far. The ambience on the patio was romantic and away from traffic (both motorized and foot) while not actually being inconvenient to get to.
Justin H — Google review
We didn’t stay at the hotel, but unfortunately ended up at its restaurant while exploring the old town. From the start, the service was hostile and dismissive. Our group was initially met with hostility. At one point, the waiter was kind enough to take our order. However, once everyone told their preferred dish, the waiter inexplicable refused to take the order in full, and said that he only remembered the starters and he will come back to take our order for mains. We thought it was weird, but at this point we were still enjoying the city and each other’s company so we had no problem repeating the order. What ruined the evening completely was the staff’s attitude. When I asked for ketchup to make the food edible, the waiter sneered and looked at me with disgust. He refused, trying to pretend he is Italian and was offended by my request. I do not see what is wrong with eating what is essentially a breaded chicken with ketchup, not to mention fried potato my partner was having on the side. I had to leave mid-meal to buy ketchup from a grocery store. The food was mediocre, the service appalling, and the staff downright rude. There are far better places nearby. Save your time and avoid this one

We had gnocchi with basil and gorgonzola and it was absolutely delicious, the best meal we had in our three days vacation in the area. Also the drinks, Aperol and Limoncello spritz were made perfect, not diluted as they usually do. The service was on par, fast and friendly, we had a great lunch here!

An excellent restaurant, recommended by a salesperson at the Golden Goose store. It's located on a quiet little street in the old town, offering a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The food was outstanding – one of the best pizzas I've ever had, and the pasta was delicious as well. The Bellini Spritz was excellent and perfectly refreshing. Highly recommended!

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Château de la Napoule. Not quite as popular as Bd de la Croisette, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Specialty Museums
Château de la Napoule, originally bought and reconstructed by sculptor Henry Clews in 1918, is now a vibrant arts center and museum. The Musee de la Castre, situated atop Suquet Hill, offers stunning city views and houses a collection of ancient artifacts within its historic castle walls. Visitors can explore the beautiful castle gardens for a small fee or opt for a guided tour of the interior.
A must visit! Pleasant tour of this beautifully maintained chateau of an American couple. Guided tours at 2:30pm in French so you can enter inside. The tour guide was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the second floor is not to be visited since there are artists living there.

Very nice lady at the entrance. The season of the Castle hasn't begun so the site is only open on Fridays ( so we were really lucky) Nice view on the sea. We came too late to have a guided excursion inside the castle, but the garden was nice too. The price of the tickets is affordable.
Natalia O — Google review
Overall a great experience! The stunning setting and architecture of this renovated castle is worth the visit. Interpretive signage is in both French and English. The house tour (French) was interesting and gives you the chance to learn more about the history of the property and see more of Henry Clew's bizarre artwork, if you're into that sort of thing. The only downside was the garden. While the garden is "pretty", I find it rather horticulturally lacking. It's a shame considering it would be a stunning example of an Arts and Crafts style garden given the proper oversight of a garden curator with trained staff. Hedges and trees have not been properly trimmed in a while, weeds are rampant, the pool is in disrepair and full of algae, the lawns look raggedy, the footpaths need to be weeded, the pergola lacks any sort of interesting climbing flowering interest such as wisteria or laburnum, many borders are left unplanted and are rather filled with weeds, and the few containers that are planted are rather uninspired, featuring just white petunias. I did notice that there is one area of the garden undergoing renovation (which is accessible only during the house tour), however the garden staff does not seem to be trained in caring for a historic property. They had a pile of dirt directly on one of the historic Arts and Crafts style stone patios, from which they were shoveling directly, no protection covering the patio. Hiring a head gardener with experience in preserving gardens on historic properties would take this castle to a 5 star visit.
Bryan B — Google review
The Chateau de la Napoule is more than just a beautiful gem along the Côte d'Azur with its wonderland-like gardens and quirky sculptures and carvings throughout. It is a standing love story between Henry and Marie Clews evident from the "Once Upon A Time" etched over an arched doorway to the on-site crypt tower that holds both husband and wife. It is also a fascinating story of Marie's grit when she decided to return alone after Henry's passing to save the Chateau from ruin as she sat though not one, but two world wars here. Knowing the rich history of the Chateau, it is truly like living in a storybook tale and in some ways feels wrong to stay as a guest here. 6 years after our first time falling in love with this place, returning brought back all the feels. Breakfast on the terrace each morning looking out at the calm sea. Walking the 2 minutes down to the tiny beach, Plage de la Raguette, where this time our kids paddle boarded and snorkeled most mornings. The cafe here serves pretty hearty fare for dine-in (table seating) or takeaway (to your beach spot). My husband had steak and frites, our kids had cheeseburgers, and I had the chicken Caesar salad and all were decent for the convenient location. Walking across the street to our favorite gelato stand and rotisserie chicken store. The local market Spar, Cecilia (fresh produce market), and pharmacy are all a few minutes walk and have all come in handy for last minute needs. Cannes is a 10-15 minute drive and was a fun spot for a date night wandering the streets with all the various shopping and bistros one can desire. July is inevitably a popular wedding month and we saw two weddings during our stay and even were treated to a fireworks show one night because of it. Even if you don't get to stay at the Chateau, it is well worth a visit for the garden lover, history lover, art lover, or castle enthusiast. There's something magical about this place and it's definitely a must-see if you're in the French Riviera!

I visited here last September. Was not busy perhaps it was out of the usual tourist seasons. This is a place of complete romance and art. It tells a love story of an American couple who settled in France and fell in love with the people and the town. Highly recommend a walk around the outside of the chateau, the beach nearby, I even enjoyed a lunch at the nearest restaurant facing the ocean. Recommend to pre-book a guided tour (although only offered in French, you can only go into the chateau with a guided tour). Enjoy and have fun people! 🥰

Médiathèque Noailles, also known as The Noailles Media Library in English, is a stunning 19th-century estate located just a short drive from Cannes. The manicured grounds feature walking paths and an array of themed gardens including Japanese, desert, tropical, classical, and old-style European gardens. Visitors can enjoy the timed fountains set to classical music and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
This is one of the best public libraries I’ve visited! In a 19th century villa setting. I’d be there all day if you prefer a good read in a quiet environment. The grounds are fantastic for walking, get a fresh air or even sit to meditate outside if you prefer. The library is also close to downtown and ocean promenade if you don’t mind a longer walk.

What a surprise! Just a short walk from the centre of Cannes this is basically a working library with history, views and interesting gardens - no charge for entry. The building is a Rothschild mansion and we were very fortunate that one of the staff gave us an impromptu tour of the public rooms when she heard our accents, they love visitors. No photos allowed inside but you can imagine the gatherings in the 1920's, the opulence and the vision of Betty Rothschild. It doesn't take long to wander round but it is an unexpected gem.

Sensational ! The fountains throughout the gardens were timed to classical music. It seemed as If there were five Gardens within one garden. Japanese garden desert, garden tropical, garden classical and old style European garden. I was also surprised by the views of The Mediterranean Sea. Inside the palace was also well decorated and cared for. Once or twice a month they have dinner to live music at night. The only negative is finding the palace palace. It can be quite tricky.

History Museums
Nestled on a picturesque hill that offers stunning views of the Bay of Cannes, the Musée des Explorations du Monde is a treasure trove for art and history enthusiasts. Housed in a medieval castle that once served as a monastery for Lerins monks, this museum showcases an impressive array of artifacts ranging from 19th-century Riviera landscape paintings to ethnographic items and musical instruments.
We visited last year. Great museum located at a wonderful spot in the city where you could get great views. Wonderful staff, great exhibitions. Highly recommend!

An old tower museum place to visit up the hill. Good to go to the top of the tower to see the whole city of 360 degrees.
Nghia C — Google review
Charming small museum housed in a small medieval tower with great panoramic views of Cannes. The ethnographic and archaeological collections are interesting but limited in depth. Worth visiting if you are in the area for the view and to explore Le Suquet, but not a destination museum. Best suited for a quick cultural stop.
Thanos X — Google review
Nestled in the heart of Cannes, the Musée des Explorations du Monde offers breathtaking views that make the journey to the top absolutely worth it. From its vantage point, visitors are rewarded with panoramic scenery stretching across the city and the Mediterranean, creating an unforgettable backdrop. However, reaching those stunning sights comes with a bit of effort—there are quite a few stairs and small spaces to tackle along the way. While the climb adds to the adventure, it’s something to keep in mind for those who prefer an easier stroll. Despite the trek, the rich history and striking views make this museum a must-visit for anyone eager to explore Cannes from a unique perspective.

Best view in Cannes!! Don't stop where the most tourists will!. Enter inside the museum, enjoy exploring and finish with the BEST view in Cannes. 😉
Thanos E — Google review
Entrance is €6.50, and the staff are very nice. The museum is small, probably taking 20 minutes. The tower in the middle is a great view of the city, and the main reason to go to the museum. There are English explanations on cards in most of the rooms.
Tom H — Google review
Tucked into the heart of Cannes, this little gem of a museum only costs 4.5€, and in just 10–15 minutes, it whisks you through four compact rooms full of tribal and pre-Colombian treasures. Not for everyone, but if you’re the kind of traveler who slows down at masks, maps, and ancient myths, it’s absolutely worth the stop. Think of it as a bite-sized adventure before your next gelato. 🎭

Hôtel Martinez - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Resort hotel
Hôtel Martinez - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is an elegant hotel located on La Croisette in Cannes, offering stunning sea views and a private beach. The hotel features 411 rooms and suites designed with an Art Deco aesthetic, including a penthouse that ranks as one of the largest hotel suites in Europe. Renovated in 2018 by Pierre-Yves Rochon, the property boasts fine dining options and a chic cocktail bar.
My boyfriend and I had the most beautiful vacation staying at Hotel Martinez during the week of Bastille Day 2025. The room, location, and food were amazing, but what really stood out the most was the service. From the concierge staff, waitresses, maids, everyone was incredible. This was my first time in France (from USA), and my boyfriend explained that Hotel Martinez and the Carlton, were the top two in Cannes, with Carlton being #1. I can firmly say, our next trip to Cannes must be at Hotel Martinez, and we would not have had the top-notch experience if we were anywhere else, thanks to the staff. Delphine (if I'm spelling that correctly), made our trip especially magical. After over-hearing us denied from the restaurant because they were closing, she didn't skip a beat and directly guided us to this beautiful bar in the back. She had us seated where we pleased, and the bar was absolutely beautiful. Speakeasy feel, incredible mood lighting and curated art-deco furnishings. Delphine had us served quickly, and when that bar closed, made arrangements for an additional glass of wine - her wine recommendations were stellar. She introduced herself as the new manager of the bar, we thanked her for her exceptional service, and she beautifully described her love for hospitality, and her "why". In LA and Miami, especially at 5 star establishments, the staff often treat guests like they are a burden to even check in or ask for reservations. Not only did we receive exceptional service, but I felt the staff truly enjoyed their work, and made us feel like we were appreciated and wanted as guests. Delphine made our last night of the trip so incredible we both left Hotel Martinez the next morning firmly resolving to return as soon as we could. There aren't enough words to explain how magical this trip was for us - many thanks to the staff for creating this beautiful memory for us.

The hotel offers exceptional service. The rooms are very up to date and clean, and as a Hyatt Globalist, I was treated very well. The breakfast buffet (and staff) were fantastic. The location in Cannes was great, and their beach club service was top notch. The concierge, the front desk staff, house keeping, all contributed to an amazing stay. Will return!
Deb J — Google review
I had a fantastic stay at Hôtel Martinez in Cannes and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the front desk made me feel welcome. They went out of their way to show me different room options so I could choose what I liked best. The room I chose was spotless, comfortable, and well designed, with a nice balance of elegance and coziness. The whole hotel has a beautiful Art Deco style that gives it so much character, and you can feel the history of the place while still enjoying all the modern comforts. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, kind, and genuinely seemed to care that guests were having a good time. Nothing ever felt rushed or transactional – it was warm and personal. Overall, everything about my stay felt smooth and effortless, from check-in to check-out. It was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I left already looking forward to my next visit.
Ella C — Google review
Had the most amazing stay at the iconic Hotel Martinez! The views of the French Riviera are absolutely unbeatable. Waking up to that view felt like something out of a movie. The whole place has this old-school Hollywood glam vibe that makes you feel instantly special, yet everything is so comfortable and welcoming. Everyone greeted us by name and made us feel completely at home. The breakfast spread was absolutely wonderful. My husband nearly cried over the incredible bread selection, and I couldn’t get enough of the eclairs and the bread pudding. The staff made the experience even more memorable: Carla was a joy at check-in, Lionel and Arthur were fantastic at breakfast, and Tung was so kind to serve us a late-night dinner right before closing after our travel delays. It was such a relaxing, luxurious stay. I honestly felt like a celebrity!

I had an unforgettable stay at this hotel! The service was truly exceptional — every staff member went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. My room had a breathtaking view of La Croisette, and watching the fireworks from my balcony was simply magical. The whole experience felt like a dream. Highly recommended 🥹🫶🏼💙

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Martinez, Victor made our experience unforgettable. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail set the tone for a perfect stay. He welcomed us with genuine hospitality, made the check-in process seamless, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Victor’s knowledge of the hotel and the surrounding area in Cannes was incredibly helpful — he gave us fantastic recommendations and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about what they do, and it truly elevated our visit. Thank you, Victor, for your exceptional service and kindness. You’re a true gem at Hotel Martinez! We look forward to returning soon.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Hotel Martinez and it was unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the beautifully appointed room with stunning sea views, everything was perfect. Lunch at the beach club was exceptional — fresh line-caught seabass and outstanding service. A thoughtful gesture from the manager made the occasion even more special. Memories for life — highly recommended!

Everything very beautiful and clean. Besides, this hotel has a fantastic tv system that informs everything about the menu and further procedures. I wish the sauna would be open later than 7 p.m. My only complaint was about parking my car in front of the reception when checking in, it was stressful because of the mess and also the concierge hasn’t informed the high price per day (€ 65). In spite of everything, our stay has been amazing! Thank you!

Haute French restaurant
Restaurant La Palme d'Or is a luxurious dining spot located on the Boulevard de la Croisette, boasting two Michelin stars. It has been a part of the legendary Hotel Martinez for over 35 years and is known for its chic contemporary dining room with a bay-view terrace. The restaurant offers creative multi-course menus paired with fine wines, providing guests with an exquisite culinary experience.
We did the tasting menu and it was a wonderful dining experience. The staff was attentive, the courses were brought out at a great pace, and the atmosphere and decor was executed well. It's clear why they earned two Michelin stars prior to renovations. Highly recommend.

Never been a Jean Imbert fan, but this surprised me. The cuisine here is refreshingly direct—Southern flavors done with real technique, no unnecessary flash. Simple dishes executed flawlessly. Service is razor-sharp, no missed beats. The terrace makes it special. Unique experience that actually lives up to the Martinez setting. Worth the hype, finally.

We found out about this incredible restaurant thanks to the Michelin Guide (1 star at the moment), and the Amex Platinum Dining collection. We did a 5-course tasting menu on a beautiful night in August. We were given a spectacular table on the terrace with a view. All courses were delicious and very well presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant, and felt like eating on a yacht.
Giuseppe D — Google review
Went with family to Le Palme D’or for a special birthday dinner. An absolutely wonderful night. The food was fantastic as well as the service (special mention to Mr Vion, the sommelier who helped us choose an amazing wine). The new decor is also very neat and appealing. We had a table on the terrace with great views of the sunset on the Croisette. An unforgettable experience.

La Palm d’Or took us on a journey with a film inspired menu influenced by the sea. Expect delicious seafood and fish dishes with perfect quality ingredients. The service was attentive, kind and up for a good joke. The restaurant itself reminded me of being on a superyacht. The only thing that led me to not give full star rating is that the price matches a three star Michelin restaurant and although the food was excellent and the service good, the experience cannot compete with the best restaurants of the world, hence the price of the menu is set bit to high. Anyway i highly recommend giving them a visit.
Maximilian S — Google review
Great experience, every dish is like an art! I thought the food won’t be enough because the dish are all small portion, but at the end I am quite full! Nice food, great service, great view! Strongly recommend.
Si X — Google review
We took the Vegetarian menu and the Fish one. The first was surprisingly bad, the second one was clearly below our expectations. It's really a pity as the place and the service are very good. The personnel is very welcoming but the cuisine is too much below the standards to deserve a better mark. I hope it'll improve soon.
Kirlo90 — Google review
Here the ingredient is the star of the show. All the recipes are carefully crafted around it to enhance it without denaturing it. A very delicate equilibrium and balance of flavour and texture. As a result, your senses are heightened to focus on the core and simplicity (hiding a complex research) never tasted so good. From the amuse bouche to the desserts, you are treated to a mesmerising gustative journey. Although presented in its purest form, you can feel the acute research from the chef to balance and mix ingredients and flavours. Who would have thought to marry caviar and raspberries... enhancing the metallic and citrusy aspect of the fruit taking you to a new journey vs. the usual sugary raspberry pies. Or a delightful goat cheese and honey “lindor” type delicacy to end your meal. The mains are also super with the lobster tail, the lamb which just melts in your mouth and the sweet bread which is just out of this world. The service is also great and very attentive and caring with great sommelier and maître d’ counselling to discover you on local produce (we actually had a superb wine from the island in front of Cannes). The setting is probably one of the best in Cannes as you are in the croisette with a privileged and unique view. A must go experience

Le Speakeasy Cannes is a chic and intimate dining spot that evokes the ambiance of a Prohibition-era American speakeasy. The restaurant features red velvet decor and hosts live soul, jazz, and blues music from international artists, creating a vibrant atmosphere near the Croisette. It offers an eclectic menu with refined French and Italian dishes such as linguine with langoustine and fillets of beef with truffles.
Fabulous restaurant/nightclub in Cannes. My wife and I had a great time. The live music, especially Kate, was awesome and the food was great too. In terms of vibe the place reminded me of Las Vegas but in a good way. Our waiter was super attentive and fun.

The SpeakEasy is well located, just parallel to the Martinez in Cannes, which makes it easy to find. The staff is truly exceptional—warm, kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. I really appreciated their energy and hospitality. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight of the place. There are live musicians with beautiful voices, creating a vibrant and joyful ambience. It was a real pleasure to be there, especially with a lively group from the UK that added to the fun. A great place to enjoy a memorable evening. The food is good, but honestly overpriced for the portions and overall quality. Not bad, but not worth the premium they're asking. What really felt excessive were the drink prices—for example, a simple glass of Chablis at €17 is, in my opinion, pushing the limits. In short: go for the ambience, music, and amazing staff—they make the night special. But be aware that you'll be paying premium prices, especially for drinks and food that don't justify the cost.

We had really good times! Japanese French restaurant, so delicious! The service is really good, the waiters and singers are very friendly and funny, I really like them, very enjoyable. I will definitely come back again! ♥️🫶🏻

This place is simply wonderful! Great food, great music, and a vibrant, energetic atmosphere that makes the entire experience special. I had previously visited their Paris location with a large group and we had an amazing time. This time, we were just four of us in Cannes, and I have to say — we enjoyed it just as much. The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the ambiance truly unmatched. Whether you’re with a big group or just a few friends, this place knows how to deliver a memorable dining experience.

Le Speakeasy Cannes is the perfect blend of sophistication, entertainment, and vibrant nightlife, delivering an unforgettable evening from start to finish. The experience begins with impeccable dining, every dish is beautifully crafted, rich in flavor, and served with precision. The cocktails and wine selection further elevate the moment, and is a testament to the venue’s dedication to quality. As the night unfolds, the live music transforms the ambiance creating an intimate yet lively setting where talented musicians bring soul and energy to the space. The performances complement the evening flawlessly. What truly enhances the night is the incredibly fun and engaging staff! Their charisma and enthusiasm add to the lively atmosphere, making guests feel welcome and ensuring that every interaction is warm and memorable. Just when you think the night has peaked, Le Speakeasy seamlessly transitions into a club like atmosphere breathing new life into the venue. The energy shifts, the music deepens, and the atmosphere turns electric, inviting guests to dance and celebrate well into the night. With its charming yet dynamic vibe, impeccable service, and seamless fusion of dining and entertainment, Le Speakeasy Cannes stands out as a must-visit destination for an unforgettable night.

This was my favorite night in Cannes!!! The vibe is incredible & unmatched! We loved every bit of it. Incredible food - we had really good starters and the truffle pizza is to die for & so is the tuna tatakiiii🤩🤩🤩 Mains & cookie dessert were soooooo good - everything was exceptional! Best part is the live performance which makes you join in no doubt. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT & DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT. Only managed to get a few pictures because we were having a great time but we’re definitely coming backkkk!

Speakeasy in Cannes was such a vibe. We went for dinner and ended up staying all night—the food was amazing, and then it turned into a full-on party. The energy was electric, the music was great, and the servers were ready to have a good time right along with us. We even met the owner and he was super cool and welcoming. Definitely a must-visit if you’re looking for a fun night out in Cannes.

Mediterranean restaurant
L'Assiette Provençale is a charming restaurant offering traditional Provencal dishes in a simple dining room with outdoor seating. The best time to visit is between August and October when red mullet, an abundant and affordable Mediterranean fish, is featured on the menu. This popular dish is typically served with rice, couscous, or linguine and topped with fresh tapenade. Located in the old port, the restaurant's terrace provides fantastic views over the harbor.
It was so delicious! And the people working here are the loveliest. It was a warm, sweet atmosphere, and the dishes were really great! The fish soup was amazing! And tbh everything from the starter until the dessert was yummy. Loved it a lot and highly recommend!

Amazing restaurant with view and actually on the marina- port/water. Husband and wife owners/server/cook. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. No upselling and kind and efficient service. Fish was fresh and tasty as were the prawns and chicken. Highly recommend.

Unassuming place close to the promenade… but wait to start eating! Please ask the waiter for traditional Provençal options either house wine pairing ; everything is home made. Expect an explosion of flavors in your mouth! We couldn’t try all the desserts, have to return for Pavlova and crepe! Highly recommended hidden ( in plain sight) gem!

We got the whole fish (50 euros) served with finger potatoes and veggies and fisherman’s stew. Both were good. Local red wine was good.
Mariia V — Google review
It was another steamingly hot day on the Cannes waterfront and I was desperately seeking sustenance but too lightheaded to figure out where to eat amongst the many harborside options. My steadfast travel partner urged me to use my first instincts and I'm grateful I followed her advice because it led me to the perfect meal I didn't even know I wanted at L'Assiette Provençal. First the starters - 1) impossibly lightly fried and airy fried zucchini flower blossoms, and 2) the most completely satisfying ceviche I've ever eaten - super-fresh sea bass in a sweet and savory acidic marinade with shallots and cherry tomatoes that melted in my mouth like umami-packed thunderclouds. Spectacular. Then for the entrees - perfectly seared tuna tatami crusted in sesame and pink peppercorns and again a little sweetness, alongside impeccably grilled baby butter lettuce heads that I would eat each day of my life if I could. Second was described as a typical baked goat-cheese and honey salad that was anything but typical. Perfect greens, wonderful simple dressing, and above all the baked goat cheese was not the bland white garden variety, but a musky aged rinded goat cheese that worked perfectly with everything else. Finishing up was a daringly intense lavender crème brûlée and a classic pavlova featuring the most perfect and intensely flavored fresh strawberries I've ever encountered. The party began as soon as my tongue touched the outside of these magical bursts of joy. This meal was a revelation when I needed it the most. Thank you to the friendly folks who served me this spectacular meal.

This place is located by the marina, and the view on a sunny day is quite enjoyable. Upon arriving, the staff were extremely attentive and greeted me with warm smiles, always a lovely welcome. I had the octopus fricassee, and wow! What a combination of flavours! The octopus was tender, and all the elements of the dish complemented each other beautifully. I truly enjoyed every bite. Next time I’m in Cannes, I’ll definitely be visiting again.

How absolutely wonderful of a little restaurant overlooking the old port of Cannes! Each of the three courses was delicious, a rich blend of fresh flavors that delighted the palate, but the calamari was world class, we have never had better anywhere. Panna cotta dessert, so delicious was the we have had this year. Drinks also great, Kir Royal exceeded expectations, we can’t wait for the next ones. The owners are delightful and will take excellent care of you. The price is for what you get—- almost beyond competition, this really is the place to go in Cannes if you love good fresh food.
M. P — Google review
I had one of the best-grilled octopus I’ve ever eaten at L’Assiette Provençale. The portion size was generous, and the octopus was incredibly tender, not rubbery at all, and perfectly seasoned. Their starters were also fantastic – fresh and full of flavour. The restaurant is spotless, and you can tell they work very cleanly, which made the whole dining experience even more pleasant. The customer service was outstanding. Someone was always checking to ensure everything was going well and asking if we needed anything. I asked for fresh orange juice, which wasn’t on the menu, but the kind lady offered to make one for me using fresh oranges – such a thoughtful touch! Their wine selection is also excellent, with high-quality options that perfectly complemented the meal.

Le Bistrot De Grand Mère by La Brouette

Restaurant
Le Bistrot De Grand Mère, located at 1 Rue du Pre in the Suquet district, is a delightful dining spot that opened its doors in 2023. The bistro operates from 8:30 am until half-past midnight, offering a delectable a la carte menu for lunch. Guests can savor dishes like veal kidneys with mashed potatoes starting at 14.75.
Le Bistrot De Grand Mère is tucked away on a quiet backstreet, far from the busy main harbor. It's a modest, unpretentious spot, but the charm lies in its simplicity. The staff were warm, friendly, and spoke excellent English. Although the restaurant was packed all night, having just two servers for the entire place made the service a bit slow. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the outdoor seating, though some music would have been a nice touch to elevate the ambiance. We ordered the set dinner with beef cheek and a side of cod to share between the two of us, which was the perfect amount. The food was delicious—authentic French cuisine, like a comforting home-cooked meal.
Catherine Y — Google review
Great food for a leisurely meal since service is a bit slow. The terrine was huge and good for a meal for 2 even though billed as an appetizer. Quail and squid were both great. The salad Nicoise had anchovies but the hard boiled eggs were a little overdone.
Sabrina L — Google review
The food is really good and made with love. All the products are clearly very fresh and the people working there are nice and helpful. I recommend it for sure! + it’s not super expensive for a restaurant with a great location in Cannes.
Aude M — Google review
This restaurant is just 100 meters away from the Cannes Sign viewing platform — we found it on a search right after checking out the landmark, and it was such a lucky surprise! Specializing in traditional French cuisine, it has a history of over 40 years, which really shows in the food. The waiter recommended the Terrine as an appetizer, and it was absolutely amazing — rich in meat flavor with zero fishy or gamey taste. For mains, we ordered the lamb chop: first grilled then braised, it was so flavorful, and it came as a whole, thick piece, not the thin slice you get at most other restaurants. We also tried the braised squab pot; the meat was tender, smooth, and packed with flavor, plus the plating was beautiful. The interior is rustic, cozy, and full of historic charm. All in all, this was an incredibly stunning dinner — highly recommended! Note: They change menu seasonally, so be ready to explore new dishes!
Sherry Y — Google review
Lovely restaurant, away from the tourist crowds, boasting a large terrace. Very prompt and helpful service from friendly staff. I had French onion soup to start, followed by roast quail, which was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend!
Carl M — Google review
This restaurant doesn’t quite live up to the hype and reviews I have seen. Of course, taste is subjective, but I have had better food, service and overall experience elsewhere in France. The food was okay, but the service felt a bit unorganised and not very attentive. Drinks were forgotten and the staff seemed rushed. Maybe there just weren’t enough people working that evening. It makes a difference when a full restaurant has enough staff to keep things smooth.
Swiss B — Google review
We absolutely loved this place — it’s definitely a level above the typical tourist spots. A real hidden gem that’s truly worth a visit. We started with the Greek salad — incredibly fresh veggies and creamy feta. It’s a slight twist on the classic version, but in the best possible way. I had the duck, and it was simply magical — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My partner had the calamari, which was equally impressive: fresh, light, and perfectly balanced. Highly, highly recommend this spot — a must-try if you’re in the area!
Ksenia F — Google review
The food is average and not the level you expect, but then again it’s hard to find something good price/taste ratio in Cannes.
