The Jersey War Tunnels, an underground complex built by the Germans during World War II, have been transformed into a poignant museum showcasing the island's experience under Nazi occupation. The tunnels, stretching over 1km and dug deep into the hillside by slave laborers, offer interactive exhibits, wartime footage, and displays of household objects that depict the British government's decision not to defend the Channel Islands and the privations suffered by locals.
Very interesting and educative history for all of those who are interested in knowing the world war 2. Young children do not enjoy the tour. Breath taking history and an hour flies by if you are reading most of the displays.

A very thought provoking place to visit. Take the time to read the boards and stories of the individuals that lived through the experience it’s well worth it or pay the extra £4.50 for the audio tour. It’s amazing to read just what people went through and how different people had very different experiences of the German occupation. Parking is free and onsite but not huge. It is cooler when in the tunnels but I would t say it’s cold. Definitely a must visit when on the island.
Lee H — Google review
I'm very interested in this period of history and can honestly say that this is the best attraction for World War II I have been to. Highly recommend using the audio guide the information is interesting and they captured so many perspective and elements of the war. I had no understandingof what it would have been like to live on an occupied island that hasn't actually been invaded, and I almost feel like I was there. A huge credit to the island past and present.
Hannah S — Google review
A very well laid out and comprehensive museum dedicated to the WWII German occupation of Jersey. So much to see and learn about the unique history of these events. I hsd previously visited the underground hospital in Guernsey which was similar in layout but fare more bare and original - This has been decorated and converted properly into a museum, and is far less damp! It is however a bit cold and the air very dry due to dehumidifiers running constantly. The gift shop is very good and well stocked too, with a decent cafe. A must-do stop for any visitor to Jersey.
Stan S — Google review
A must visit. A fascinating and moving experience depicting life in the Channel Islands during the war. To enjoy this experience I suggest allow yourselves 2 to 2.5 hours when you visit.
Marian M — Google review
Staff were really nice, even though young, they were knowledgeable and friendly. The museum itself was very interesting, it was very good to go through the timeline of the war through the tunnel, there was lots interesting exhibitions and told a good story, there was a couple of great immersive exhibits as well so it was not all reading so can be good for children and it wasn't too long.
M — Google review
I’ve visited this museum / attraction several times over many years and it seems to get better each time. Some of the materials presented are very thought provoking and overall you get an interesting insight into what German occupation was like for the islanders during the war. The fate of some of the islanders who were deported and the treatment of the prisoners forced to build the tunnels is heartbreaking.
Alan G — Google review
Interesting place to visit to learn more about how life was affected during WW2 occupation. Visitor Centre was clean, comfortable and provided a nice cafe, complete with resident seagull who wanders in given half a chance! Lovely cake and friendly staff.

Water & Amusement Parks

Located in St Peter, aMaizin Adventure Park is the largest farm park in Jersey, offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for families. Outdoor adventures include go-kart racing, gold mining, and navigating through the Maize Maze. The park also features a bouncy pillow, playgrounds, water fights, tobogganing, and mini-golf. Inside the park's wooden-built soft play area are slides and ball pits for children to enjoy.
Great outdoor place for kids and young adults. Full of things to do inside and outside, the place is one of Jersey’s most active places. Unfortunately it will close for good at the end of August 2025! Hopefully someone else will carry on the great job the owners have done so far.
George T — Google review
Kids loved it. Don't be put off by the slightly shabby appearance. Food was surprisingly good. Tractor ride was a bit of a white knuckle ride but the kids loved it. Kids had a brilliant time with the highlights being the foam party, the tractor ride and the maize maze. Also loved the little buggies to tow bags and small passengers. You need to be there early to get one.
Robert H — Google review
By Jersey standards it's not too bad, but if you're visiting it as a UK tourist it may well be underwhelming. Some of the park reminds me of "The Field" from a Father Ted episode. The indoor play area is good, the food selection is fairly decent but the Tabbogan Tower is awful!
James D — Google review
Pretty good and a lots of activities available. Tractor ride was good fun and the driver enthusiastic! A shame it’s closing permanently at the end of the month as the island doesn’t have any other places like this for kids. £60 for 2 kids and 2 adults felt expensive. We enjoyed it for a couple of hours.
Jeff — Google review
My son loved it here. He keeps asking to go back. We spent a full day here and could have stayed longer. Such a shame it is closing soon. Would certainly recommend anyone who hasn't been to give it a go while you still can! I'm sure many families will miss this venue.
Sarah B — Google review
Quite dated but kids had fun, sadly it's closed down for good now.

Have been visiting Jersey for years now, and have been coming here on our trips for 4 years. I cannot fault this place, the staff have always been really helpful and super friendly and informative. Equipment and play games are all well maintained and in working order, things have changed over the years which is great to show how management are investing in the place and ensuring a great experience. I think the real proof of a place like this are the loos and here they have always been spotlessly clean and smell free. Keep up the good work guys. Great day out!
David G — Google review
Fantastic place to take kids!! It was our first time in Jersey as a family of 4. We have a 4 year old and 5 year old and it cost £46 to get in but is well worth it. Everything else is included. You can go on anything you like as many times as you like. We didn't take a picnic but there are plenty of areas to sit if you choose to take your own food. Although the menu is pretty varied and reasonably priced. Cute little farm with goats, ponies, pigs, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There are toilets and changing facilities right in the middle of the play park which are kept extremely clean considering how many children are in and out every day. Soft play inside is excellent, you can sit and have a coffee and watch your kids as there is seating in full view of the play area. Again the toilets in here were immaculate and smelled lovely!! If you go during the hot weather make sure you take swimwear and a towel and/or a change of clothes as there is plenty of water play and also socks as these are required for the soft play indoors. You'll easily spend a whole day here we didn't even get to go in the maze and we were there for 5 hours!!! Enjoy 😊

The Goose - Randalls Pubs is a delightful dining destination celebrated for its exceptional British cuisine, offering a diverse menu that caters to all tastes while ensuring great value. The inviting atmosphere features cozy booth seating and spacious sofas, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal away from the lively bar scene. Guests rave about the delicious dishes prepared in an authentic Josper oven, which imparts a unique flavor thanks to high-quality charcoal.
We had the set menu Sunday roast. Food was outstanding, especially the beef. Service was excellent and the meal was good value for money. I would definitely recommend The Goose.

I recently dined at The Goose in Jersey and had a very pleasant experience. The duo of lamb was tender and flavourful and the portions were generous. The staff were very friendly. I was sat in The Lounge area which is 18+ with my partner and his parents, and we were all impressed with the cosy yet modern atmosphere which added to the overall ambiance and experience. Overall, I would recommend it for a delicious dining option with great service.
Laura G — Google review
I'm in Jersey with my parents for 10 days for family and today is the 5th day. We came the Goose for an early dinner and what a dinner it was. My dad ordered muscles for starter and sea bass for main. My mum and I ordered roast beef, the Yorkshire pudding was like a mountain and everything was so delicious. For pudding we had apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding, just like the main it was outstanding. The service and people were also outstanding and the environment is very friendly and family orientated

We went to this local pub for family dinner twice during our short stay in St Peter. The food was delicious and in good portion, and the atmosphere of the pub was great. The severs there were courteous and approachable. Overall, we enjoyed being there. A tip we learned is to reserve a table for dinner in advance as tables at dinner could be gone very quickly.
Jing X — Google review
We hadn't eaten at this pub before so thought we would give it a try. We were visiting with a couple of our friends and one of them has a Sulphite allergy which makes it very difficult for her to select a suitable dish from a menu when eating out. When our friend started to explain about her allergy, the staff very helpful and ensured that her chosen dish was free from Sulphites. The chef even used a new saucepan to make sure there was no contamination from other food; great service indeed. We all had an excellent meal and were very grateful for their co operation and consideration for our friend; would certainly recommend this pub.

I ordered the Moules and was expecting it to be with cream. When I queried this, I was told by the waitress that this dish did not have cream but was cooked differently. To be fair, she asked if I wanted cream but as I was half way through, I declined. My issue is that the mussels themselves weren't very tasty and the sauce looked like dishwater. The staff were very friendly which helped. All in all, I was quite disappointed as have always enjoyed going there previously.

Mark Jordan at the Beach is a chic dining spot located on the south coast of Jersey, offering stunning views of St. Aubins Bay. The restaurant prides itself on serving skillfully cooked local produce in a contemporary and relaxed setting. With its glass-walled terrace, patrons can enjoy expansive bay vistas while savoring honest, good-quality food prepared simply with fresh Jersey ingredients.
Felt heartwarming. The passion for fine dining and high quality dishes are „wow!!!“ well flavoured and great textures. We enjoyed the time and the stunning seaside view. Recommend the non-alcoholic drinks (GT and Pimms alike) as well as the fish and the vegetarian dish. The chef and the service are just wonderful. Thanks!

Sensational evening. Every single thing was exceptional from the staff, the food, the wine! We were given the option of sitting inside or outside. We got a lovely private table with a view of the beach- gorgeous. They offered us focaccia and brown bread with salted butter. I'm certain the bread is made in the kitchen rather than bought. Either way it was gorgeous. In fact everything I ate was sensational. So much talent and passion is evident. I had the gnocchi starter which (would suit a vegetarian). The gnocchi was crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. The sauce was creamy and garlicy. It was served with mushrooms which I typically don't love but I ate every one!! Then I had the seabass main, with a beautiful crispy skin and served on a bed of potatoes and a pesto (I think) salsa. Again every mouthful was incredible. I didn't have room for dessert this time but my partner's looked like a work of art. We interacted with three staff members throughout our visit and this is customer service done right!! Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. Just amazing. The restaurant was busy and they were working hard but still made it seem like a pleasure. Can't wait to plan our next visit! You simply must go here. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Thank you for a memorable evening. The food was delicious. The service very professional and friendly. The mackerel starter was my favourite. Would definitely recommend. Ten out of ten! So pleased we managed to get a table so last minute. Thank you for the birthday plate a really lovely touch. 🐟🐟🐟

Being a regular visitor to jersey Being the month of may every year for the last 15+ years to celebrate my wife's birthday and love the island massively. This year my decided to book for an unforgettable experience with myself and my wife was massively disappointed, yes as other's have said the view was amazing but the food was far from it. The starters were none none excistent and as for the mains well it was so disappointing, my MJ signature Jersey beef burger definitely was not a signature burger, the brioche bun was none other than burnt to black in colour and tasteless and my wife's tempura batter cod matches the same colour as the brioche roll and there's no way tempura is ment to be black in colour. The fact that both mains comes with 6 chips was like a game of jenga, they tasted like they were still coated in the soil that they were grown in and we both know for a fact that jersey royal potatoes are absolutely amazing. These so call chips were awful, this was mentioned to the waiter and all the reply we got was that I'll make sure to mention it. We have visited many food establishments all over the island and mark jordan on the beach will definitely not be a place we will visit again. Other reviews that have been left are obviously people that have experienced good food and everyone is entitled to there own opinion and unfortunately this is mine, personally the price we paid was sooooo very much not worth it so a lesson learnt and a very expensive one at that. There's one establishment that we will both always look forward going to and that is the The Pembroke Pub & Country Kitchen, as said that's my opinion and everyone is entitled to give one.
Phil L — Google review
Had our silver wedding celebration at Mark Jordan, just 4 of us so no biggie, but they were so attentive and kind, the food was incredible and we were made to feel really special. It was busy in a nice buzzy way, lovely views of the bay, and had our meal outside, which was so nice. I haven’t been there for a couple of years but I would definitely return, there were many dishes on the menu I could have chosen. Thank you all so much for making our day special.
TheClaireFoster — Google review
Wonderful food and service. The Scotch Egg starter was incredible! So were the mains and the desserts. Worth the money. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I very rarely leave a review. But just wow. Have just left the restaurant after eating the best meal I have ever had. And the staff are amazing also. I would rate it 10 stars but can only do 5 so that will have to do.

Amazing spot. The view of the ocean is insane. Probably the longest beach i have seen in Jersey so far (it's haven't been everywhere). Had the Tico salad bowl with prawn tempura, beautiful

I am amazed at this place, i heard it was good, i wasn't even hungry but we were able to get a table and the waitress charged my phone, it was also coming up to sunset and the food smelt insanely good. I got the curry, i ate the lot, it was incredible, the staff were lovely. Can't wait to come back.

What a fantastic find, we were recommended, but it came above expectations. The fresh seafood is superb and excellent value and they serve Cremant by the Glass which most restaurants won't and is a superb compliment to seafood without the price of champagne. Excellent all-round highly recommend.
Hannah S — Google review
The Gambas and fish and chips were even better than we were expecting. It was lovely, casual location and we were able to eat outside at sunset by the sea. Would highly recommend the seafood.

I go there every year when I'm in Jersey. My daughter loves the choice on the children's menu. A victim of its own success, you shouldn't be afraid to wait, but it's worth it. With a beautiful view
Victoria — Google review
Although small parties can’t book, there were enough of us to book a separate room to the main restaurant (which lives up to the Cantina description). We had an excellent view of the sun setting over the ocean. There wasn’t too much of the menu that I could eat, due to food intolerances, and I didn’t fancy the deep fried items. I was able to enjoy a salad bowl with grilled prawns. My partner liked her dishes. The service was quite friendly, if a little forgetful.
Paul S — Google review
Beautiful food and very nice atmosphere with a view of the sea. One staff member got hung up in a conversation with an acquaintance of hers and made us wait a little too long before turning her attention to us to take note of our orders.

The Oyster Box is a sophisticated seaside restaurant located on the beautiful promenade in St Brelade. It offers stunning views of St Brelades Bay from its luxurious heated terrace. Specializing in oysters, the restaurant serves fresh Jersey rock oysters with various accompaniments such as champagne butter or kenny-herbert sauce with grilled Gruyere cheese. In addition to seafood, the menu features locally sourced meat and fish dishes prepared to order for an authentic Jersey dining experience.
First time dining here this evening, and the service was impeccable 👌, by all servers. Nothing was too much trouble. All servers were friendly and professional. Dining here was a real treat and one of the best meals I've had in Jersey. The food was incredible and so tasty. I'll be dreaming about that champagne butter sauce with the oysters. Compliments to the chefs for all of our prepared courses. My only complaint is they would not except a tip.

Arrived at 6pm just as the restaurant opened and greeted by the lovely Margaux. Our host showed us to a fabulous corner window table and introduced Fabrice our waiter for the evening. Service from Margaux and Fabrice was exceptional with every attention to detail to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Thank you.

Our first time in Jersey and this restaurant was a real treat. I had the seafood pasta and it was hands down the best seafood pasta I've ever had. The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. The cherry on the sundae was the amazing views over the bay. Thanks for having us!

We had a fantastic lunch here. Slow, sunny and delicious which was just what we wanted. We shared the oyster platter and ordered more from the specials menu which were amazing. A must try if you haven't had a hot/grilled oyster. The ones in champagne butter were incredible. For starters you could get some smaller portions of the pasta dishes which was such a great idea, meaning that we got to try more of the menu. We had beef carpaccio and crab tagllerini. Theres plenty non-fishy options to choose as well. We had pork tomahawk, monkfish(from the specials menu) and, of course, delicious Jersey Royals. The dessert section was also very inviting but we opted for dessert wines and affogattos instead. An absolute MUST visit for tourists and a perfect place for a nice meal, to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy the wonderful coastal views.

We have tried various dishes and loved them all, great combination of ingredients. Tried truffle chips for first time which were just incredible. While the calamari portion could have been more generous, I admit I tend to compare it to what you’d find in the south of Spain. Staff were friendly and service attentive. Restaurants doesn’t accept cash or tips. Over all a great experience.

Year later and it is still GREAT !! 3rd visit to Jersey and 3rd visit to the Crab Shack and we were not disappointed. The oyster’s are super fresh and arrive with option of Tabasco, fresh lemon or shallot vinegar (or “naked” ). The spider crab was well prepared and presented and full of taste. For something different I decided to try the flat iron steak and will definitely be going for that again. In a stunning location with choice of outdoor or indoor seating this great for either lunch or an evening dinner!

Great view. Staff were very friendly. I had the burger - it was alright. I think the seafood here is very good. They had a good variety!

The food was tasty. Great sea views. Unfortunately, the service was slow, and I had to ask multiple times where my main course was. Toilets need a good clean. Great menu with lots of choices. They offer table service however you have to pay your bill at the bar.

Service was lovely, so the 10% charge is justified. They were all very welcoming. Seafood was spectacular, I recommend sharing the crab of the day. Finished with beautiful views by the beach.

This is a great place to eat, the booths are lovely to sit in, cosy family birthday meal we had in here...we were treated very nicely by the friendly staff...couldn't fault the crab shack at all....defo a visit when in saint brelardes Bay,Jersey. The stacking share plates are a must! Delicious 😋

Food was delicious and the view is stunning. Service was very good but all the food arrived at the same time, and we really wanted to have starters and mains. Shout out for the incredibly well mixed cocktails as well!

This restaurant offers a range of differently priced meals. There's a lot of choice too, with a number of veggie options. Everyone in our fussy group found something to enjoy. My dad really enjoyed the throwback pudding of Crepe Suzette! He'd not seen that on a menu since the 80s and said it was brilliant. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The place has an easy friendly vibe that means it's perfect for families. Never been before, but we'll definitely be back.

Nestled in the scenic St. Brelade area of Jersey, Jersey Lavender Ltd is a delightful destination for those seeking a unique experience amidst stunning lavender fields. Open from October to April, with late May being the prime time for blooming views, this charming farm invites visitors to stroll through its vibrant landscapes. Guests can embark on the Discovery Trail, which leads them to various intriguing spots around the property and offers insights into the fascinating process of essential oil distillation at their onsite distillery.
Such a wonderful place to discover the workings of the farm and learning about amount of work that goes into the products they sell. If you are more into wandering the lavender field, go in the height of summer to experience all varieties in bloom. Beyond the fields there is a large meadow and area full of tall ferns where you can spend a good hour isolated from other visitors, enjoying the bees, butterflies and birds. The cafe has a lovely veranda with beautiful views to the garden. As a bonus, I’d recommend the footpath leading straight from the farm to St Aubin town.

Loved visiting this place. Stopped at the cafe first to try the lavender scones, 😋. Enjoyed the tour around the farm, informal but very informative and friendly 😊. Purchased lavender soap and now (upon returning home) I'm loving it's fragrance, it lingers for ages, highly recommend!!

I visited Jersey Lavender Farm a few weeks ago, with my sister. This was our 4th visit to the island but our 1st visit to Jersey Lavender Farm and what a gem it was. The people we met there were so welcoming and friendly and it was obvious that they all loved working there and nothing was too much trouble, all lovely characters. The gardens were so beautiful and relaxing to spend time walking around and just sitting in, full of hidden nuggets along the way and finding out more about the lavender and what it was used for was really interesting. There is a lovely gift shop to browse around at your leisure, with so many delightful items to choose from and very reasonably priced. The icing on the cake for us was the quaint, homely cafe, where we sampled the lavender shortbread, lavender scones, apple pie with cream and a choice of cakes, everything was homemade and delicious and there was an excellent choice of other food on the menu . The only regret we had was that we'd left it on our 4th visit to Jersey to go and see the stunning Lavender Farm but we will definitely be popping in next year. Well worth the visit.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Recommend using the audio tour for a fuller and imformative experience. Plenty of Instagramable opportunities around the tour. Pop next door and visit Rays free garden and pop up shops its a pleasant surprise. Warning🚨 beautiful white and ginger floof ball by the name of marmaduke is friendly but if his tail is swooshing beware he may bite 😬

Lovely grounds to have a walk through. Picked up some lavender oil from the shop on site which smells lovely if you add a few drops to your bath. The cafe was unbelievably cheap so very good value for money all round

Small family run business. I was there late in the day and not a lot going on. Lavender was very pretty - what hadn't already been cut for production.

It's an original and relaxing place for your trip to the island, especially if you already visited the most popular places Staff were really friendly aswell Sadly I ordered just a cup of tea at the end of my visit and they took so long to get to my table that I had to leave because I would miss my flight back home otherwise. I don't blame the team cause they were really friendly, there wasn't just enough staff for so many tables in my opinion. I left after 30 minutes. The farm itself, is beautiful, quite big and you get to learn new things about lavender in general as they have an audio guide aswell, i'd recommend it if you want to relax and visit something original! Ps. the tortoise is a little bit to the north of the farm:)

Had visited a few days earlier and enjoyed a lavender scone and lavender shortbread. I went back to buy some shortbread as a gift and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful taking the time, close to closing, to box up the shortbread and tie it with ribbon even though they were busy with last minute visitors. Thank you ladies. Xx

L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa is a modern seafront Victorian hotel offering stunning views of St. Brelades Bay. The hotel features contemporary rooms, an indoor pool with a delightful sea view, and a gym. Guests can also indulge in luxury Elemis treatments at the spa or enjoy a meal at the grill restaurant. The hotel's prime location allows guests to explore the sandy coastline of St.
Lovely afternoon lunch. Food good, location great, but service was brilliant. Faith was our server and looked after us perfectly. Just the right amount of attention, so nit intrusive and we didn't want for anything. She is an asset and we will be back...
Christian H — Google review
Beautiful location and the staff are very attentive, there are also some lovely touches for children like VIP robes and complementary milk and cookies before bed. However the hotel is incredibly overpriced. I don’t expect to pay £300 per night for my child to not even have a proper bed. I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels in London for less money with better facilities. The bathroom was small and the room was dated. The room is only equivalent to a premier plus room at premier inn. Spa facilities are also nice but the communal areas are quite stuffy with a lot of other guests that look down on you. One old man made disgusting lewd comments to a group of women. The staff did talk to him which was appreciated. Great staff, beautiful beach, slightly strange vibe and ridiculous pricing.
Michaela V — Google review
Took my partner here for her birthday as a surprise and had Nellie reach out prior to ensure everything was in order, upon check in I was greeted by Nellie who explained everything and more to us and ensured our booking with the spa was sorted. Nellie went above and beyond during our whole trip however also gave me the feeling that this was also her naturally effort to her job which was refreshing to see. The scenery from the hotel balcony and restaurants is incredible with the ability to walk out straight onto the beach ! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a break or is looking for a romantic spa getaway.

Great location overlooking the sea, but this place is beginning to show its age. Fixtures showing signs of wear and tear, UPVC door and windows are tired and damaged/corroded. Food and wine is very expensive and I really dislike the practice of ‘discretionary service charge’ of 13%😭 We found all the staff to be welcoming and friendly through our stay. We will stay here again without doubt, but that is more about charm, comfy beds, staff and location.

We have had yet another amazing stay at l’Horizon with family. Staff are so friendly year on year and welcome you back with open arms. Our son has had a lovely week entertaining people on the piano in the evening and we hold our memories with Collette close to our hearts. We will be back

Sonny our server - what a guy! Sonny totally enhanced our evening and dining experience - he had a lovely way about him and had our two teenage boys laughing away at his jokes and jolly customer service. He was super attentive, despite being busy and had the perfect balance of humour and banter - he judged the table well. The food as always was delicious, but this evening was enjoyed all the more by all of us, because of Sonny - a great example to the lads of what good customer service looks like and how it can enhance everyone’s experience when you are just lovely and friendly! Great job recruiting people who are great at customer service :-)

Lovely meal out here last night. Staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We were served by Charlotte who was an absolute credit to Pizza Express and her family. Pizza restaurant
Off The Rails, located in St. Brelade and accessible through the old railway track, is a renowned pizza restaurant in Jersey. It is known for its delectable pizzas made on sourdough crust, which are highly regarded by visitors. The establishment also offers tasty tapas options, making it a versatile dining experience. With a cozy and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a ski chalet, Off The Rails provides an enjoyable setting for patrons to indulge in their culinary delights.
Reasonable price (£19per person) friendly staffs and tasty food We went an hour ago it should be closed and there were large booking so firstly the staff told us maybe it is not available to accept us, but she asked how much we are hungry and they were happy to serve us. After the meal, we asked where we could take a taxi and the other staff even came out from the restaurant and let us know the way to go. I would give more than 5 stars for their kindness.

Off The Rails is my family's favourite place to eat in Jersey. Everything is cooked really well and the taste is out of this world. My kids said the burgers are the best they have ever tasted. Staff are lovely and the setting is so cozy. We all highly recommend.
JC C — Google review
During our week in Jersey we ate at Off the Rails three times; once for brunch and twice for dinner. For brunch my wife had the toasted banana bread with yogurt, dates and berries and I had the mushroom and spinach shakshuka; both were perfectly prepared and delicious. For our first dinner we had the squeaky greeky paired with two excellent generously sized cocktails; blueberry and rosemary g&t and caramel apple mule. The squeaky greeky was disappointing; dry and bland. It could have use a good sauce or would be better served as a wrap like the one we had Cafe Firefly at the Jersey Zoo or like the mooloumi burger we had at Plemont Bay Cafe. On our second dinner visit we shared four tapas; otr maple and chili walnuts, albondigas, patatas bravas and goat’s cheese pared with generous sized drinks; caramel apple mule and Campari Zing Zing. This was just the type of dinner we like; light and delicious. The atmosphere is informal. On all three occasions we found the service was super friendly. Our server on the three occasions was Natalie. She noticed our accents and asked us why we came to Jersey all the way from Boston, USA. When we told her that we were ardent supporters of Jersey Zoo, we struck up a wonderful conversation about Jeremy Mallinson, who ran the zoo for many years. This was a highlight of our whole trip.

What a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday lunchtime! The staff were really friendly. We had a Sunday lunch sharing platter with pork and beef. The Salty Dog - Cafe, Bar & Bistro is a stylish establishment with a large terrace and a globally-inspired menu that utilizes fresh produce from Jersey. Since 1998, it has been known for its authentically spiced dishes and has built up a great team passionate about good food and service. The restaurant offers an enjoyable dining experience with attractive modern decor, sufficient staff, and efficient service.
Shout out to this restaurant because it was the only one still serving food at 8.30pm in St. Aubin... And eventually it allowed us to discover their amazing food! I treated myself to scallops and pork belly to start with and I continued with Tagliatelle and local lobster. I loved all of it! Never had the lobster covered in cheese, it was so delicious! Finally the service and the ambience: very friendly staff and regularly checking if it was everything good. The restaurant itself seemed beautifully renewed recently and their external area is also lovely on a sunny day! Highly recommended!!

Superb. Found space to accommodate use with baby despite expecting busy pre booked Sunday service. Pimm’s spritz was so good we went home and made our own! Try the famous Salty Dog Prawns, Apparently they have been on the menu for 27 years, and rightly so! This is the sort of place that we can see ourselves enjoying many cocktails in the sun on a kid free day!

The name is a bit off putting, but still a decent restaurant/cafe. The prices are quite expensive, it’s located in quite a nice area, the WiFi password for the WiFi “Salty Dog Guest” is ‘salty2024’. There was quite a long waits for our drinks, but the drinks tasted good enough, nothing that special, but nice. It is right next to a bus station which can come in handy.

This was a lively place to eat, with music and a couple of large parties in. It was busy but despite that, the staff were excellent. So often, especially around the desserts/coffee/bill part of meal, you can be forgotten about but not here. Saying all that, the food was fabulous with a terrific variety on the menu. My Malaysian curry had a lovely heat to it and my husband enjoyed lobster mac and cheese.

For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like La Corbière. Not quite as popular as St Brelade's Bay, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Lighthouses
La Corbière is a picturesque small island and sunset viewpoint in Jersey, accessible by a causeway. The highlight of this location is the charming lighthouse, offering fantastic views especially during sunset. It's recommended to visit during low tide for a walk to the lighthouse and again when the tide cuts it off. The area also features remnants from WWII and offers stunning photo opportunities. Accessible by foot at low tide, it's advisable to check the bus schedule if visiting outside high season.
Excellent place to visit. Views are spectacular. Look out for the green lizards.

Passed on the West Coast bus journey. Following day on the around the island bus journey we stopped in the small car park and took a few photos.
Snowy T — Google review
Very dramatic lighthouse accessible in low tide. You cannot get up close or enter the lighthouse itself, but the walk there and back is good and unique.
Stan S — Google review
This place is absolutely amazing. It looks almost prehistoric, and probably is. It's a great walk when the tide is out. A real must to visit. We saw a couple having their wedding photos taken. How wonderful they shared their day with total strangers. Well done them. Highly recommend with 5stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Chris B — Google review
An absolute must to visit! There's a kind of Famous Five adventure air to the lighthouse, with the surrounding rocky sea and landscapes and crashing waves. Historical interest too with the WW2 bunkers and some beautiful photo opportunities.
Claire B — Google review
La Corbière to Portelet Bay. (Around a 2h walk) - This is one of the most iconic and picturesque walks on the island. Taking in stunning costal views as well as the ups and downs of the high cliffs, this short walk is packed with sights to absorb. St. Brelade’s Bay, recently voted third best in Britain, marks the halfway point. Containing a huge choice of places to relax as well as one of the island’s richest and most diverse nature reserves La Corbière - A causeway leads to this small, rocky island & sunset viewpoint with a quaint lighthouse. This place is amazing. It looks almost prehistoric, and probably is. It's a great walk when the tide is out.
Keith A — Google review
Stunning views! One of the best places to visit on the island. Make sure to check the tides. Only with low tide you can walk up to the lighthouse. In any case, the views are breathtaking!
Niels L — Google review
A great photo opportunity! Be sure to visit at low tide and during sunset - the views are magical. The location is accessible by public transport but check the bus schedule if visiting out of high season. We came here at low tide and walked to the lighthouse itself. Climbing the stairs was not possible because the fence was locked but the main beauty was the overall look. Near the lighthouse there are several hoppers left after WWII - they looked clean and maintained which was a nice surprise. There`s a lot of history here.

Beauport Beach is a picturesque sunseekers paradise located on the island of Jersey. It is sheltered and uncommercialized, making it an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility. Accessible via a short climb down from the carpark or by kayak or boat, this beach offers turquoise, glass-clear water and is perfect for nervous swimmers due to its rarely rough waters.
I always come here every spring and summer, never disappoints ! The climb down is tiring but absolutely worth it, the water is always refreshing on a hot day, never to busy and a great view !

My favourite beach on the island. No facilities, other than a carpark at the top and path with stairs down to the beach. So bring everything you need for your time on the beach with you.
David P — Google review
It's probably the most beautiful place we visited whilst on holiday. Thanks to the locsl lady walking her dogs who told us about it. Access down to the beach isn't easy . Lots and lots of uneven steps wind down to the beach. Which when we vidited was utterly deserted. If you didn't know where you were, you could have been mistaken for thinking you were in Thailand.
Gary 7 — Google review
About Beauport Beauport Bay is the very definition of a hidden gem, geographically close to the busy St. Brelade’s Bay but a world away in terms of atmosphere. It’s improbable that a visitor would stumble across Beauport unless they knew exactly where to look, so the majority of beachgoers here are local, and those in the know arrive early to bag a good spot on the sand. Reaching Beauport is an adventure in itself with a steep pathway and steps tumbling down the cliff face from the small car park above. The reward for these efforts clambering down (and later back up!) is one of the most picturesque wild bays in Jersey, if not the world. Surrounded on all sides by towering granite cliffs the south facing bay is a renowned sun-trap, and the turquoise water here is calm, perfect for swimming and a popular anchor spot for local and visiting boat owners. Local teens earn their bragging rights by jumping into the water from a number of dizzyingly high rocks around the bay, but an excellent knowledge of local tides and water depth is required to do this safely and it’s not recommended to follow suit! There is no public transport serving Beauport, but the nearest bus stop in St. Brelade’s Bay is around a 15-minute walk away. Due to the nature of the steep pathway and steps this beach is sadly not recommended for those with mobility difficulties, and there are no toilet or catering facilities here.
Piotr T — Google review
Such a beautiful beach! It's a bit of a walk down the stairs to the beach but so worth it.
Holley W — Google review
A small but a beautiful beach. There are no toilets or shops nearby and you have to take steps or a long slope to get there, but it’s not busy and it’s very relaxing. We walked around 15 mins from St Brelade church bus stops to here. Walking on the road is easier but taking a waking trail is more scenic.
HIK — Google review
Superb beach not very crowded. Unsuitable for disabled as it is accessed from a steep flight of unven steps. Worth the effort though. No amenities on the beach

It would have been nice to be able to learn more about it, as information on it was unfortunately scarce from what I could see on our visit to the church. One of the standout features of this charming cafe is its breathtaking view of St. Brelade's beach, which adds an element of tranquility to the dining experience.
Midbay Cafe This is in a very good position next to the beach, we bought ice cream here, they were very good ice creams, They have chairs and tables where you can have something to eat as well. The views are amazing as well! The beach is one of the best ones I’ve been too.

Amazing service, nice atmosphere, incredible food, reasonable price. Onion rings are nice and crispy while the onion was still soft and fluffy. The chips could be a little fluffier but the outside is perfectly crispy and delicious. Would recommend both.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Midbay Cafe and enjoyed a delightful English breakfast accompanied by a steaming cup of coffee. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were satisfying. The cafe's staff members were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my visit. One of the highlights of the experience was the fantastic view of St. Brelades beach from the cafe. The scenic backdrop added a touch of tranquility and enhanced the overall dining ambiance. It was truly a treat to enjoy my meal while taking in the picturesque coastal scenery.

We has breakfast and lunch here on seperate days. The food was really good. There is an extensive menu. You order at the counter then it is brought to your table. Very pleasant staff.

Great place to stop for a quick lunch. Friendly staff. Big portions of good quality food. Clean toilets. A bit of a squeeze for space so could do with a couple less table or chairs inside but overall I would recommend. Good value for money too.

You will either love this place or hate it. We loved it! Not easy to find but fascinating place. Purposely wild gardens, pop up shops, children's play area, cafe with tea at £1 per pot!! and our first Jersey Wonder. Loved the 'over 70's therapeutic swing' - what a laugh. Free to enter.

Beautiful gardens behind the lavender farm. Really pleasant and wonderfully tranquil space. As you enter, in front of you is a picturesque oasis with a small lake and ponds. You walk round the numrous beautiful flowers crossing bridges and passing a fairy garden with lights and small figurines. The highlight is the waterfall, a wonderful waterfall. Come here to relax and observe the sights sounds and smells. At the end we actually had a conversation with reg himself. A great experience

Military Museums
The Channel Islands Military Museum, located inside a German bunker in St. Ouen, offers a unique insight into the German occupation of Jersey during World War II. The museum was established by an individual who began collecting items related to the occupation at a young age and continues to expand its collection. Visitors can explore various artifacts, including weaponry, medical equipment, and wartime objects, as well as detailed models and dioramas depicting the historical context.
Fantastic place. A bit off the beaten track. Make sure you've got a taxi number and or know your bus route. A cafe and jersey pearls with a cafe opposite. Public toilets were handy near by. A great location for a museum. Worth a look if you've got an hour or so to spear.
Harri F — Google review
Lovely interesting guy who owns this collection documenting the history of German occupation and how the local population had to adjust. My son loved it and I'm glad that people take the time and efforts to keep this part of jersey history alive, love it or hate it the Natzi occupation is a part of history here and this is a gem of a place to visit. Thanks for the warm welcome.

We both visited this real German bunker a must do outing very knowledgeable Gentlemen offered us information on this collection of rare WW2 memorabilia go see yourself👍
Andrew — Google review
Amazing little Museum, it's incredible the amount of German items from Weapons, uniforms, turrets, to even a motorbike, there's lots of history in here, all of it links to various different places around the island, I'd recommend coming here and visiting Noirmont Point on the same day as you get a great detail of scale for the shells used in the cannons at Noirmont. There is also every type of German war medal on display, as well as the uniforms, used bullet casings and shell casings, an Enigma machine, a couple Flak turrets and lots of MG34 guns and their mounts and tripods too. Couldn't recommend this museum any more than I am, if you're interested in the history of the island and what occurred here during the second world war, then this is a must visit location, will love to come here again in the future
Ryan P — Google review
A great little find, while we were up the north end of the island. Loads of exhibits in an actual bunker with so much information. A fascinating trip into the past and well worth a visit, be aware, it's not a huge museum, but for the history buffs a great place to visit.
Matt C — Google review
Very informative museum with plenty of things to look at. Give yourself plenty of time here as there are many interesting stories to read! Tickets were £8 when we went, which was well worth the price, although the bunker is not huge. There is a bus stop right outside and a restaurant nearby where you can wait to catch the bus back.
Ella V — Google review
Amazing collection (or rather ~20% of this gentleman's amazing collection) of Nazi occupation artifacts. Well worth a visit. It is a shame that he doesn't seem to get support from the island government to move into bigger premises to display more of his collection.

This was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had. The staff are fantastic - very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very nice and the room was spotless. Only thing i would have liked was air conditioning, although there was a desk fan in the room which helped.

To be spending £200+ a night for a dated room that overlooks the road and a car park is a complete rip off! The location is great, but that is all! This is our first night, so we have another 2 nights regretting our choice of hotel. Whilst this is a generous 2 star review, the food at the Beach Club down the road was superb and will be given a 5 star review! We won't be eating at this hotel.

We decided to make a stop at Corbiere Phare restaurant before visiting the lighthouse. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they served delicious baguettes, which came with chips and salad. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. After enjoying our meal, we embarked on a great walk along an abandoned railway that led us to a stunning view of the lighthouse.
If you want to eat with a sea view, this is the place👍. We had an evening meal while we waited for the famous sunset😎. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day for us, but the staff said the night before was absolutely stunning, the best they've ever seen.🌞. Our meal was lovely and delicious 👌. The staff were all so cheerful, the guy who served us was brilliant and made us laugh. Bus stop only 100 metres away. Highly recommend with 5stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We came in here for a bite to eat after visiting the wonderful Corbiere lighthouse. Plenty of tables and a good choice of items on the menu. We had the tuna roll plus fries. It was served quickly, tasted excellent, and enjoyed the fantastic views out to the lighthouse. If you are visiting Jersey, then this is a must thing to do.
Dave P — Google review
We came to see the lighthouse and this was the only nice looking restaurant in the area. Starting with the positives, if you visit - absolutely go for the espetadas - the grilled beef and prawn was absolutely lovely. We had it with hand cut chips (nice) and mixed salad (very underwhelming so didn't really eat any of that). The beef burger was nice too, but I wish we ordered two espetadas. The view of the lighthouse is lovely and the restaurant is spacious and bright. Now onto the negatives. Three members of the staff we dealt with were absolutely terrible. We also ordered soup as a starter which never arrived because the shef couldn't read what the waiter wrote / or wrote on a different page which never made it to the chef... either way, just a sorry from their side, nothing else. The other waiters we had weren't at all friendly or attentive either. Having arrived here off-season you'd really hope for the customer service to be top notch with locals heavily involved and doing their best and potential struggle during the tourist season. Well, if this is as good as it goes, Britain is definitely not putting our best foot forward. Won't be returning.
Maria T — Google review
Had a great night here! The sunset view was beautiful 😍. The food looked great. The seafood tasted amazing. Service was a bit slow but I think they were busy. If you want a dessert, try the basque chocolate cheesecake 👌🏻
Rayan T — Google review
Great seaside restaurant with a special view during sunset, the food range and quality was particularly good with large portions. We got scallops as starters, ribs with the side vegetables and fish n chips as mains. The service was good however noticeable of how they treat certain members e.g shouting at customers for holding a metal objects. Could work on being discrete and not disturbing others. I would 100% recommend however do book in advance and keep a schedule of the transport. There is only a public bus back which can make it difficult if you skip the times. The total cost was around £58 for 2 people.
K W — Google review
We came here after visiting the lighthouse. From the outside it looked like the perfect place to have tea/coffee and a light bite for my husband’s birthday lunch. It was not busy at 12:30pm when we arrived. We waited to be seated and were eventually shown to a table by the restaurant manager. First impressions were not great because he was quite abrupt with us. We told him we looking to have a light lunch but on inspecting the menu saw that it was more focused on those wanting three course dinners. All staff had disappeared, so I went to bar to ask if we could order tea and cake. The lady there said if we wanted to do that we must vacate our table and sit in the bar area. We moved but were then told there was no cake available, only one dry scone and one dry croissant which we had to share between 4 of us. There also a lot of flies buzzing around this area which really put me off. A disappointing experience here which lead to me leaving this review. Not somewhere we would rush back to. If the staff were more friendly and they offered a selection of cake or afternoon teas, they would make a good profit, as lots of tourists come to this area and it’s the only restaurant nearby.
Claudia B — Google review
Took a while for the food to come, but it was worth it, as the quality was amazing. Bit on the pricier side, but the food definitely reflected the quality, and was quite reasonable overall. We also appreciated that the restaurant didn't follow the trend of adding the service charge to the bill, and making it awkward to remove. It makes me feel more inclined to leave a tip, since it isn't being forced upon me. View and atmosphere was beautiful, would definitely go again.
Jacob V — Google review
Walked to here today and felt ready to sit down and have a drink. First of all lots of staff walked past us and didn’t speak to us, and it was clear we were waiting. Eventually we were able to flag one person down (?manager) and asked if we could have a drink and a snack, and he was very abrupt, and looked like this was a huge inconvenience for him, almost eye-rolling. He told us we would have to sit outside. We were a little shocked by his manner. But off we plodded to an outside table. We went in to order and a petite lady at the bar scowled at me as I asked if I could order with her, she proceeded to tell me anything I ordered would take a really long time with no hint of apology and almost satisfaction! At this point we left, no way I’m giving any money to a company that clearly finds customers such an inconvenience. Chatted to girls outside who told us they are always like this here. Poor way to run a hospitality venue, such a shame. The view didn’t even make up for it. Cheer up and get some manners!

Great lunch at Le Braye today. Misty day but still warm enough to sit outside and take in the stunning beach views. Fab food, great service, good prices, great location. We will definitely return and it's another fabulous place to visit and thoroughly recommended on this amazing Island of Jersey.

A warm welcome and a nice cup of tea and a cream tea for the two of us. They had slices of lemon for mine. The warmed scones were a little flabby, perhaps microwaved, but tasted homemade. Would return to try other food when the kitchen is open - check hours.
