Hiking area
Garden of the Gods is a 1,300-acre park located just northeast of Colorado Springs. The park features an array of sandstone formations in various colors, offering picturesque landscapes for visitors. At the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, guests can access hiking trails, biking paths, and even guided nature walks. The park's diverse trails cater to different difficulty levels, with a wheelchair-accessible 1.5-mile trail available for all to enjoy.
This is an awesome place to visit, and it's free! Nicely paved trail and it's accessible. Rock climbing can be arranged from what I saw on signs but you have to make contact with the location first. This is a great place for pictures of the Red rocks. Definitely worth the stop and visiting multiple times. This was my second trip and I enjoyed the rocks just as much.

Title: Geological Grandeur: A Study in Color and Contrast The Garden of the Gods offers an experience that is far more dramatic and detailed than a simple scenic drive. These photos illustrate the striking, almost painterly, quality of this National Natural Landmark, emphasizing the interplay between the ancient geology and the vibrant plant life. The dominant feature is, of course, the geological drama. The formations appear massive and imposing, showcasing stark red and orange colors under the brilliant Colorado sun. The images capture the incredible texture of the sandstone—the result of millions of years of deposition and subsequent tectonic tilting. Seeing these massive slabs of rock jutting sharply towards the sky, often framed by soft, puffy clouds, is a potent reminder of the earth's immense power. Furthermore, this place is an immersive trail experience. The dense, lively green foliage—primarily scrub oak and juniper—is a recurring element that beautifully frames the towering red monoliths. This foreground of nature provides a compelling contrast to the bare, dramatic rock, making the hiking and viewing experience feel intimate and immersive, even when viewing the massive formations. It suggests a park that is not just about viewing from a distance, but one that encourages stepping onto the trails to appreciate the varied ecosystems thriving right up to the base of the rock fins. The clear, blue skies and bright daylight guarantee exceptional photography, bringing out the maximum saturation in the red iron oxide of the rocks. Whether you are focused on the broad landscape views or the close-up texture of a specific formation, the Garden of the Gods is a mandatory stop for anyone visiting the Colorado Springs area, promising accessibility and a truly unforgettable visual spectacle.
Yusuf J — Google review
Garden of the Gods is an absolutely breathtaking place that feels almost unreal from the moment you arrive. The towering red rock formations create a stunning contrast against the bright blue sky, making every view feel picture-perfect. The maps along the trails are incredibly helpful, giving you a clear sense of direction while highlighting scenic overlooks and points of interest you won’t want to miss. The shuttle system is also very convenient, making it easy to get around the park without worrying about parking or long walks between major areas. I highly recommend bringing a water bottle, because staying hydrated makes the entire experience much more enjoyable, especially if you plan to explore several trails. Wearing comfortable hiking shoes is equally important, as some paths can be uneven, slightly uphill, or longer than expected. With the right gear, the walks feel relaxing rather than tiring. Despite being a popular destination, the park still manages to feel calm, refreshing, and peaceful. Whether you’re there for photography, hiking, or simply taking in the incredible scenery, it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression. Garden of the Gods is truly a must-see spot that showcases the natural beauty Colorado is known for.

A great experience with lots of beautiful scenery. We explored several landmarks along the trail and got to do a little rock climbing. Great for hiking and just walking around. Elevation is pretty high, being lots of water. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and taking your time. Would be a great place to jog if youre into building stamina.
Amun Z — Google review
This place is amazing. You just keep saying "wow" at every turn. There's a central part that's easy to walk and has sidewalks, and if you go early and are quiet - you can spot deer and other wildlife. You may even see permitted climbers working their way up a rock face. There is a lot to see in the center loop; howeverrrrr, if you got your grippy shoes, water, and some snacks... then adventure off into any of the outer trails. They are all a "little to a lot" different from each other (terrain, elevation gain and difficulty, vegetation, etc) buttttttttttttt on any trail you take you will be meandering along when out of nowhere ROCK FORMATION!👁👄👁 The colors of the rocks are mostly red (those are sandstone that used to be dunes) and remind me of Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, but there are also beautiful quartz that look glittery in the sun, obsidian (I think) that looks like black glass, and stones/ rocks that look like someone painted them layer by layer. Sooo many different types of trees and plants. Watch out for the cacti; they're everywhere to the sides of the trails and are no joke (even though they look small). Overall, pretty easy hike on any trail - but you need good shoes or it will get slippery in some spots. Kids could do some of the trails, maybe all - just depends on your kid's endurance and balance. Just the last mile or so can be tough and that was because it was an incline with deep sand... but you can probably exit off of the trail to the main road before that and go a different way. Highly recommend.

Garden of the Gods is absolutely breathtaking! The towering red rock formations against the blue Colorado sky are stunning from every angle. The park is clean, well-maintained, and free to visit — a true gem! Whether you’re hiking, taking photos, or just driving through, every moment feels magical. The visitor center staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the views from the overlooks are unforgettable. Definitely a must-see destination in Colorado Springs!

Absolutely gorgeous. It is a free park with well paved trails that offer guided tours for free. You can also walk around at your own leisure. Pictures Absolutely do it no justice. We'll worth the time spent there

Amazing place , family friendly. Enjoyed the well paved trails ; went during morning hours and just before sunset ! Pictures truly do not do justice at all! Free parking and free entrance . Were lucky to come across a group mountain goats during the day time and evening too! Red rock climbing signs are around and need permission with proper gear. Visitor info area with gift shop , cafe and restrooms available A must visit!

Red Rock Canyon Open Space, located between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, is a city preserve with marked walking and biking trails that offer scenic views of red-rock formations. This small open space features easy trails with exceptional views of rust-hued canyons, hidden natural alcoves, and ridges offering spectacular mountain views. The park also boasts towering cliffs, lush valleys, meandering streams, and glimpses of the Garden of the Gods in the distance.
Definitely a hidden gem that mostly local enjoy. Love the variety of trails and overall quiet if the place. Views of Garden of the Gods are stunning from this perspective. Really loved the well marked paths and friendly folks we Met along the way. Several options for bikes and dogs are there as well.

This is a great space with multiple trails from easy to more difficult. It is really close to the city yet feels far away once you move out from the parking lots. I did a loop using different trails including the one that goes through on old quarry. The views are amazing. Definitely recommend. Just remember the altitude and the fact that there is limited shade.
Paul J — Google review
Gorgeous location! Plenty of space to run, walk, hike and walk your pup. Lovely views of the red rocks through the ascension high up the canyon with wide easy to navigate and well labeled trails. Easy to access and just a quick stop outside Colorado Springs.
Audre P — Google review
Great loop hike on fairly wide and established trails. If you are going clockwise and choose to take the shortcut through the middle of the rocks, there is a spot where it looks like there is a sheer rock face you have to go up - the stairs carved in the rock are behind the nearby trees on the left side. This is right after the option of taking the rock carved stairs straight up or the trail around to the left. We went on a weekend and there were lots of people walking their dogs, hiking and biking. They have really nice mountain bike only areas that help to keep them more separate from the hikers, and they have a little course at the bottom near the parking lot with hills and wooden platform jumps and ramps.

Love all the many different trails this place offers!! On top of the amazing trails the views you can’t get any where else! People are super nice as well as the trails are kept nice and clean.

Absolutely Gorgeous walking space. Parking is free and easily accessible. The grade of the trail never really gets too steep and is a loop, so getting lost isn't easy. There is plenty of signage and even more scenery! Highly recommend! Bonus Activities: I haven't tried climbing here but there are some good looking routes if you're into that. There is also an off leash fenced dog pen that looks spacious. As an added bonus, there is a bike course, both mountain and BMX.
WreckedMech — Google review
What a spot! Something here for all outdoors folks. Hiking, climbing, mountain biking. Hikes can be miles long or shorter loops. Awesome biking park and dog park. They updated the parking in recent years which is a good improvement. Awesome views of the mountains and Garden of the Gods. Also one of the few places to see water ‘round these parts.

Enjoyed these trails which offer a variety of difficulty levels, walking surfaces and scenery. Parked on Highway 24/Cimarron St. We combined the moderate (blue) trails to make a loop. Sand Canyon to Contemplative (loved this one) to Roundup to Red Rock Canyon Path. This included some steps on rock and steps cut into rock, some sandy trails, great views of the red rock and views of the distance. Loved this location and would return to try other trails here.

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings, originally situated near McElmo Canyon in Colorado, date back to 1200 and were relocated to Manitou Springs in 1907. These well-preserved cliff dwellings offer a fascinating look into the ancient past of the region, showcasing the ingenuity of the Ancestral Puebloans who once inhabited them.
Unfortunately we went when it was a flash flood, so it would probably be more enjoyable in nicer weather. However, I loved it! So interesting to learn about such a different time, and there’s so much history there. You buy tickets at the gate, and have access to the cliff dwellings/museum and cafe/gift shop. There’s also excellent views of the surrounding mountains.
Molly C — Google review
Informative. Dwellings are all in a single continous structure. The expedition (self guided) is a bit lackluster for me but an educational experience nonetheless. Great gift shop with an expansive assortment of items. Mountain views are phenomenal. A few images of the shop contents are definitely not all inclusive.

We really enjoyed visiting this site. We had a few hours of free time and this was absolutely perfect. There wasn't any hiking or extreme elevation to get to the actual site, just park your vehicle and you are there. We were able to walk inside and the history of the Dwellings was well curated. The young man at the Tshirt sale area closest to the parking lot was a wealth of information on how the Dwellings were moved to preserve them in the late 1800's. It was her life's work and I am so grateful for her efforts in doing so for us to experience a bit of life for these indigenous people. If you have a little time take advantage of this exceptional experience. Beyond 5 ⭐s Dog friendly as well!!♥️

This was my 2nd visit and it's still one of my favorite places to visit. It's very close to Garden of the Gods, so it's a great place to visit same-day. They have a nice gift shop. I love that you can walk around in the ruins and that they are immaculate. It's nice to see a historic location that is immaculately clean. It's cool to imagine people living there. There is a cafe on the property, but it was not open during our visit.

A fascinating and beautifully preserved piece of Colorado history! The Manitou Cliff Dwellings offer an incredible opportunity to step back in time and experience how the ancient Ancestral Puebloans once lived. The structures are stunning up close, and being able to walk through and explore them makes it feel truly immersive. The museum is well done, with lots of interesting exhibits and artifacts that bring the history to life. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions. The gift shop has a great selection of unique Native American crafts and souvenirs. Easy to get to, family-friendly, and a perfect blend of education and adventure. A must-see stop in the Manitou Springs area — five stars all the way!
Mike H — Google review
Visited the Manitou Cliff Dwellings with my child. The site is interesting for a quick look, but it’s quite small and doesn’t have much historical depth or interactive content. Kids might enjoy exploring the caves for a short while, but overall it feels a bit overpriced for what you get. Worth visiting once, but probably not something I’d go back to.
Prashant K — Google review
Interesting and photogenic stop near Colorado Springs. You can walk inside the reconstructed cliff dwellings and get hands-on with history, but it’s not an authentic ancient site. More educational exhibit than genuine archaeology—worth a visit if you go in with the right expectations.
Sean H — Google review
Loved it! This was my second time here, but the first was at least 7 years ago. The staff was super helpful, the gift shop was cute. There's a self guided tour where you can read a bit about each area. The whole family including my 4 year old were able to stretch our legs after a long drive and learn something too.

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is a historic cave system discovered in 1880, featuring 10,765 feet of surveyed passages. The Discovery Tour provides an overview of its history and geology, showcasing unique formations like stalactites and stalagmites with intriguing names. This limestone cavern became a tourist attraction in the late 19th century after being explored by two brothers.
Beck’s was a good tour guide. Cave tour was full of groups and some waiting for others to pass. We came in a Sunday in October and it was packed. Got some good photos and videos of the cave. I wish there was a good lookout point to record the zip lining besides against a fence. Food is pricey to me so I did not get any. Nice place. Would come again
Spanky H — Google review
This was a fun and interesting experience, and our young kids (5 and 2.5) had a good time and enjoyed the tour. Our guide was pleasant, knowledgeable, and kept things light/fun. My only complaint is that the cave itself left something to be desired, because of how long it takes for stalagmites/stalactites to grow in that specific cave, they're all pretty small and there aren't many large, expansive areas, it just seemed small. We still had a great time and I hate to complain about something they can't control, just wanted to mention it. Still worth going, especially with kids. We did the mining activity at the end, and our kids loved "panning" for gemstones, they even found a few little chunks of fools gold! Oh, and there are great views from the balcony outside the gift shop.
Emily V — Google review
My family visited Cave of the Winds when I was a kid, so I thought it'd be nice to come back. It's smaller than I remember...but I've grown since then so yeah, it's not surprising. Our guide, Tracy, was an absolute joy to spend the hour with. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and I could tell he loves what he does. There were some young children (about the same age I was when I first visited) in our group and he was wonderful with them, teaching about the cave in a manner that kept them, and the adults interested. I'm glad I was able to come back and see the cave again.
Rose V — Google review
We came out for the discovery cave tour in May/June 2025. Upon arrival around 10AM on a Friday morning, there was no wait to get into the park and parking was a breeze with two attendants directing traffic. Caution on the (short) curvy road, especially on your way back down. The person working the front box office/ticket booth was super nice and got me quickly checked in with fool-proof instructions for exactly what to do and where to go next for our tour. Our tour guide, Tracy, was wonderful! You can tell they've been doing this a long time with the information they shared, peppered in with lots of funny jokes. Our favorite was that you can't touch the stalactites or the stalagmites but make sure to touch every "stalag-PIPE" (the railings! 🤣) We enjoyed learning about the history and science of the caves. An unforgettable experience for all ages! There's a good amount of stairs throughout the tour and some spots where you need to duck and curve around, so keep that in mind if mobility is a concern. They will also take your photo with your family in the cave and offer it to you for purchase at the end of the tour in a nice little commemorative envelope/frame thingy. Nice little souvenir that fits easily in carry on-bag. They have an observation deck with a gorgeous view below and all around. Just inside from there is seating, and food&Drink available for purchase. I recommending booking your cave tour in advance especially if going on a weekend or have more than 2-3 in your party, to ensure you get in the time you want!
Kathryn E — Google review
It was ok. Ive been to many caves in this country. This cave was... ok. The formations werent spectacular, they had some cool ones, but overall there wasn't a whole lot. They have a lot of other activities here to keep the kids interested. Its a cool place, lots to do and see. The cave was just a little underwhelming.
Jonathan W — Google review
We went on a haunted lantern tour of the caves with our guide Klaus & had the BEST time! The stories, guidance, humor and history lessons were top notch. Such a cool experience and an incredible way view the mountain on a different level. Highly recommend!
Ashley C — Google review
We did the terror- dactyl and the lantern tour. I didn't catch the babe of the ride operator but he was awesome and really built up the adrenaline for us before dropping us off the mountain. Drew led us through the caves safely and really captured his character well. We had a lot of fun complete with thrills and laughter!
Sarah B — Google review
Hour long "discovery tour" brings you through lit areas of the cave. Pathway is somewhat narrow, includes multiple sets of stairs with handrails, and is a chilly 60 degrees. Guide was very good about keeping group together and having us mind our heads on low passages. It wasn't one of the more majestic looking caves I've been in in terms of rooms or formations, but was a fun and easy tour.

The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway is a historic railway that has been offering scenic train rides to the top of Pikes Peak since 1891. Located near downtown Manitou Springs, this beloved attraction takes visitors on a journey through eight different life zones in brand-new railcars. The nine-mile trip reaches over 14,000 feet above sea level, providing breathtaking views of Ruxton Creek, Englemann Canyon, and Deer Park.
The Cog Railway was a fun family experience for us. I have personally hiked, biked, and driven on Pikes Peak over the years, so it was exciting to finally take the train! Amazing views, an informative and humorous guide, clear instructions on timing to board and return, kept everything right on time. Lots of wildlife around like marmots, big horn sheep and deer. It was unfortunately a bit cloudy at the top the day we visited, but on the train the views were great! Reasonable prices. Time at the top is limited so I would recommend doing the gift shop at the base instead of the summit.

The Cog Railway station in Manitou Springs is the perfect start to an unforgettable adventure up to Pikes Peak! The station itself is charming and easy to navigate, but what really stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. From check-in to boarding, everyone went out of their way to make sure the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Riding the Cog train is such a cool and unique way to see Pikes Peak — relaxing, scenic, and absolutely breathtaking as you climb to the summit. You can sit back, enjoy the views, and learn a little about the history of this iconic mountain along the way. If you’re planning a trip to Colorado, the Manitou Springs Cog Railway is a must-do experience. It’s not just transportation, it’s part of the adventure! 🚂🌄

Absolutely worth every cent to come on this train. Make sure you get the side with the three seats or when you buy your tickets, on the left side for the most scenic views. I was lucky enough to have Janine as my conductor and to weave a wonderful storytelling narrative as we went up Pikes Peak. On the way down she checks in with everyone one and then shares a few more stories. When most of the experience is on a train, you want the best person for the job. I hope I get her again on a return visit. The summit itself is very cold so don't forget your gloves! This is easily the most accessible 14,000ft mountain in America and probably the world. Such a unique experience for everyone. Just be sure to grab pictures first when you get to the top because the 40 minutes you're up there goes fast!
Alex S — Google review
The train ride was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend doing the conductor package. It is awesome riding in the very front on the way up however, on the way back, you are facing backwards, looking out the window, which makes it even cooler cause you get to see everything in both directions, not looking at any other people so again highly recommend the conductor package, absolutely stunning views the wildlife, and the donuts at the top if you got
Anthony G — Google review
You NEED to get tickets in advance for best experience and least waiting. You will be glad you did. This was a fantastic tour. We went in June, lots of snow on top of the peak. It was a beautiful ride up. We purchased the front row seat by driver and it was amazing. Our boys really learned a lot, worth the few extra dollars if those seats are open. It’s such an unobstructed view. Photos are like no other.
Lisa G — Google review
Great way to see pikes peak with lots of dramatic views. Tour guide was great and very informative. Only down side where that the train was pretty tight seating. If you are tall or pr plus sized it's going to be a rather uncomfortable ride. Also the views are much better from the 3 seat side than the 2, the train does not turn around the other direction so you ride on the same side coming back which was a bit disappointing as we didnt get quite as good a view as the other side. Still a great experience.
Alexander B — Google review
Riding the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak was breathtaking. Literally. My family of 4 enjoyed this ride! We booked the 2 seat side which was great but we would have loved the views more from the 3 seat side. Now I know for next time! The ride up was enjoyable & we enjoyed listening to all the fun facts & history on the way up! We almost got 1 of everything at the visitors center & Sat down & ate quickly. Walked even quicker through the gift shop as it was slightly pricy & enjoyed the rest of the time outside taking in the incredible views! This was truly a unique experience & would 100% recommend it for any age! We chose as early ride & enjoyed Manitou Springs the rest of the day!

Originally established as a stagecoach station, it evolved into a celebrated mineral resort by the early 20th century.
Lunch on a summertime busy Friday was great! Pictured are salad wedges with grilled shrimp, fish & chips, French onion soup as well as a pasta and vegetable dish. The fish coating was the best I've ever had.

Very amazing experience. Food was prepared to perfection and the staff was amazing. They let a meat bag like myself enjoy fine dining. I dropped the ball and looked like a bum but they treated me like a king. Elk chopps with beans , carrots and sausage. AMAZING! The structure was built in 1870, older than the state it resides in. Defentily another tab on the bucket list for places to revisit and get the full experience. Will not forget this meal. Made the top 10 on my personal greatest meal list.

Even with reservations, we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated despite tables being obviously available. We ordered their crab cake as an appetizer which was the best thing served on the night. My guest had the Chicken entree and she noted it was bland and unimpressive. I ordered the Elk Chop with beans and found it to be incredibly chewy. The service was poor. Our waiter was nice enough but he was gone for large stretches of the evening and not at all attentive. We declined dessert because of the underwhelming experience.

Everything was wonderful. The trout was delicious and cooked to perfection. And the pistachio chocolate cake was out of this world. They also serve and amuse-bouche which was a delicious potato, prosciutto cake with whipped white truffle butter on top, delicious! The service was amazing, kind, and attentive. Highly recommend!

Solid food choices while staying in Manitou. We had the breakfast vouchers, which are a great value. Their breakfast food is excellent. We also enjoyed dinner and their $20 Prime dinner special was a great value. My mom had the Coq Au Vin and loved it. The rich history is also worth diving into with both contemporary and classic guests over America's rich history.

Excellent food. Especially enjoyed the filet mignon (rare) and French onion soup 🍲. Crab 🦀 cake also quite good. Delicious creme brulee. Friendly efficient service. Relaxed pleasant atmosphere. Very enjoyable experience. Go out of your way to come here.

I stopped in on a weekday for lunch from out of town at an odd hour (2:30) and the kitchen and hotel staff were very accommodating. The food was good but the hotel is way cool with an intriguing history.

The food and service here is absolutely fantastic. The French onion soup was definitely the best we’ve ever had. My beef short rib was phenomenal and my husband really enjoyed his filet mignon- it was massive! Best of all was our server Christopher who was super knowledgeable about wine and provided perfectly attentive service. Fantastic experience all around!

Italian restaurant
Paravicini's Italian Bistro is a charming trattoria located in Colorado Springs, known for its classic Italian dishes and homemade sauces. Since its opening in 2003, this cozy restaurant has become a local favorite, offering authentic Italian cuisine that reflects the warmth of home. Chef Franco Pisani infuses his mother's recipes with a touch of Colorado's spirit, using locally sourced ingredients to create hearty and comforting Italian classics.
Unbelievably incredible. Such a Colorado Springs staple!!!!! Our waitress was Taylor and she was phenomenal! Probably some of the best service we've had locally. The food portions are insane so if you're trying to justify the price (which is affordable for the quality food you're getting) just know that you'll have a good square meal for the next day. These aren't your mommas mozzarella sticks, they are massive and amazing! So if you want organic tasting, great ingredients and superior service, this is the place to go! We had one entree, two meals, and 4 alcoholic beverages and only paid $150, that may sound like a lot but you're getting two days worth of food. 10/10.

Not sure why this restaurant is not closer to five stars because the food, the service and everything outstanding. Louise was our waitress and she did an amazing job at recommending drinks, wine, appetizers and food. She’s tried everything and did an amazing job at guiding us to the right things for us. We had the peach and Barada appetizer which unfortunately is seasonal but very good. In fact, the table next to us had the same thing. We also had the side Caesar salad and a pasta with olive oil, spinach and tomatoes. I couldn’t pass up the cheesecake with cherries and chocolate. You shouldn’t pass it up either. My husband spotted this restaurant as we were driving by and even though it was rated 4.5 and I usually only go to restaurants rated 4.8- I acquiesce to him and I am so glad I did! It really does deserve 5 stars. Try this amazing Italian restaurant!

My friend brought me here for dinner after we hiked the incline & it was nothing short of amazing! Definitely worth the 45 minute wait to be seated. I ordered the steak in cheese sauce with pasta & it was one of the best meals I've had in the area. They bring out salad & fresh baked bread too which was spectacular. We ordered a nice bottle of watermelon strawberry wine & finished our dinner off with cheesecake & ice cream. I highly recommend this restaurant & will be coming back to dine again!

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and we were seated right away when we walked in. Waitress was nice and friendly. We ordered calamari fritti (so good!) and had the bread and oil as well as ceasar salads. To be honest, after this I honestly wasn't even hungry anymore, but did eat some of the main course. I had the Gabriella Fettucini and my husband had the Penne Al Vodka with chicken. Both were REALLY good, would recommend. The restaurant was packed but service was good. 3 birthday party groups came in while we were seated, on a Sunday evening.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Paravicini’s Italian Bistro, and it was perfect! I’m still dreaming about their vodka sauce it was absolutely delicious. Nanci coordinated everything and was AMAZING to work with. The staff even put up our decorations for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was incredible, the service was wonderful, and the whole evening went so smoothly. Truly a 10/10 experience!

Where do I even begin besides the fact that this is in Manitou which is a beautiful part of town to visit. This is some of the most delicious Italian food I've ever had and the prices are extremely fair. Two people. Two glasses of wine, two entrees and a cannoli for only a hundred bucks which these days is a pretty good deal. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was extremely friendly. The reservation process was extremely easy, not to mention it's a great atmosphere.

10/10 italian dining! Our waitress was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. For an appetizer we had the bruschetta, delicious! I ordered the cheese ravioli and my husband had the chicken saltimbocca, both were great. They came with salads and the dressing was soooo good.

Wonderful place for straightforward delicious Italian food! Definitely a great find in CO Springs after a whole morning of hiking Garden of the Gods and enjoying soulful breathtaking views! Ambiance is a 5, you get that perfect mix of cozy warm feel but with elevated clean decor that gives you a neighborhood trendy dining. Wait staff was friendly, very helpful in describing the food and giving recommendations. You get warm freshly baked bread which you dip with olive oil and balsamic vinegar available on your table. They offer cannelloni which I know isn’t offered at all Italian restaurants anywhere. So I ordered the sausage cannelloni. It had the right amount of sausage with ricotta. The sauce was just right. The calamari appetizer came in two choices: plain fried like most offered at other restaurants ; and what I highly recommend the fried calamari served with fresh olive tapenade! Yummy, 5 stars! There was such generous portion of the tapenade that I took the rest of it back to the hotel and used the tapenade as an accompaniment to homemade chips (baked dry and crispy!) that were the side of fish and chips! Other recommended items to order: fish & chips (chips were atypical - very crispy (baked?) and not greasy!, veal parm and definitely the panna cotta for dessert! Topped with fresh (not canned!) mandarin oranges… Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant! If I move to CO Springs, you’ll find me here on Saturdays!

Adam’s Mountain Cafe, a cozy eatery established in 1985, offers a variety of mainly vegetarian dishes and homemade desserts amidst local art. The cafe caters to families with children by providing kid-friendly options like pancakes, mac and cheese, and fresh fruit. It is an ideal spot for vegans and vegetarians as the menu is intentionally designed to meet their dietary needs. The knowledgeable staff ensures that guests can easily navigate the menu for suitable choices.
We ate here because our hotel in Colorado Springs didn’t have breakfast and we wanted to visit the Garden of the Gods so driving somewhere with free parking made sense. Also the menu is relatively small - they do a few dishes very well, rather than lots of dishes “ok”. I had the avacado omelette and I upgraded to fresh fruit as a side, all very nice. My wife went for pancakes - 2 large pancakes, wholemeal wheat, nice, but she couldn’t eat all of it. Definitely worth a try!

Pricey... However, Lots of free parking and a nice round-trip walking route around the restaurant after eating 👍🏻 Clean restrooms and The bar area was quite comfortable with immediate seating. Easy to find to meet up with friends. Also, a variety of chef inspired style menu items. 🤤 I had the shrimp n grits. Great for those not wanting it spicy... (Psst, I prefer Louisiana style myself 🥵 ☺️)

Lots of options for those with dietary restrictions. Weird hours and busy open times can make it a hassle to eat here at times. Everything is made fresh to order so plan on spending some time here. Parking lot can get jammed due to proximity to Manitou. Staff is always knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Charles Rockey's paintings adorn the walls and I hope this never changes. Try the House Tea if you need a spicy-sweet afternoon caffeine boost.

The PERFECT breakfast. These people care about what they are serving you, and it shows. The Orange iced tea is to die for. The fruit was extraordinary, and the eggs, turkey sausage, potatoes and mimosas...all perfectly prepared. The vibe...relaxed, loving, and so perfect. No bacon on the menu. Plenty if turkey, chicken, salmon, and vegan options.

We were seated immediately but shortly after there was a decent line to be seated. The omelets were ok, not the most flavorful and took a while to come. This place is supposed to be a very sustainable restaurant. The coffee was very tasty. Quality Manitou Springs art on the walls.

Wonderful little (not that little) breakfast and lunch spot right inside the Manitou Springs town limit, within walking distance of many of the motels and lodges. Carlos Bistro is an upscale and popular restaurant located in the heart of the city, offering a warm and sophisticated atmosphere for a fine dining experience. The menu features creative global fare with generous portions, showcasing dishes like filet with black peppercorn brandy sauce and chipotle cheddar fondue. Chef-Proprietor Carlos Echeandia's vision for exquisite cuisine using high-quality ingredients ensures an unforgettable culinary journey.
My friend and I went to Carlos Bistro to celebrate my birthday. We took our time and enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service couldn't be more warm. A note worth mentioning. I really appreciated that the background music was truly in the background. I love being able to enjoy conversation over a meal, and Carlos Bistro provided an ideal environment. Carlos and Stephanie anticipated every desire we could think to have. I only wish I had visited Carlos Bistro long before! This is truly one of Colorado Springs's hidden gems. Thank you, Carlos and Stephanie, for ensuring I had such a delightful experience. And if you're a person who enjoys a good Old Fashioned, I highly recommend you have theirs!

This restaurant is truly amazing. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we were made to feel like we were important to not only Carlos but his entire staff too. The ambiance is perfect… or at least was for our date night. The food was absolutely spectacular (appetizers to desserts). I have a gluten allergy and they had numerous gluten free options available for me. Carlos and his staff were so welcoming and caring. It was also my birthday and they all helped make my day very special. Thank you Carlos and staff. Would definitely go again and again.

Outstanding experience at Carlos Bistro celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. Carlos was out in the parking lot when we arrived to greet us personally and escort us to our table. Stephanie arrived very shortly thereafter to greet us and welcome us as well. The service, food and cocktail and wine were all exceptional. I had the fish of the day which was a chilean sea bass, cooked perfectly and accompanied by a beautiful (and yummy!) saffron risotto. My husband chose the Ribeye Lomo Saltado, a Peruvian dish. Excellent as well, cooked just as we requested and was very tasty served on the traditional bed of fries. We topped it off by sharing a lovely, but very very rich, chocolate mousse, delicious with a beautiful presentation as well. We are very happy with our choice to celebrate this milestone birthday here where Carlos and Stephanie welcome you like family and the meal is fabulous.

This unassuming restaurant in the heart of Colorado Springs was one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the owner, Carlos, who asked us for our names with a great big smile. When he discovered that we were celebrating my date's birthday, he fawned over her with birthday wishes and the waitstaff soon joined him. We showed up 20 minutes early, but were sat immediately. The restaurant was not loud and we were able to easily hear each other speak without raising our voices. The bread was warm on the table and they brought us a homemade butter that was delicious. They were already prepared to accommodate my date's gluten allergy and had bread prepared for her as well. Throughout the dinner, Carlos would make the rounds. He had memorized our names and was funny and very charming. He loves what he does and you can tell. I ordered the Petite Boneless USDA PRIME Ribeye cooked to a medium temperature with a wedge salad. The salad came out first and, while not a traditional wedge salad, it was a great addition. My steak was cooked perfectly. It absolutely melted in my mouth. My date was poking fun at me because I was savoring every bite. For dessert, they brought over a gluten-free option of sorbet with a birthday candle lit. I could not recommend this restaurant more. It wasn't just a great meal... it was a great overall experience. I will definitely be returning.

I have to start with the most excellent service I have ever experienced! Carlos greeted us in the parking lot and led us inside to our cozy, upscale table. Very genuine in ensuring a lovely time at his restaurant for our 4 year anniversary. Liz was an incredible server with great energy, love that she used our first names and was brilliant in describing the dishes. There were a couple of large groups that came in right after us. We never felt neglected, she stayed attentive the entire time. I have had a local favorite spot for a delicious pork chop...that is now #2! You could feel the love that went into each bite, prepared beautifully. I can't recommend this place enough, it truly is a local, hidden gem!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience! Carlos’ Bistro is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Colorado Springs. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality that make you feel right at home. Carlos himself often comes by to welcome guests, which adds such a personal and memorable touch. The food is absolutely phenomenal—every dish is prepared with precision, creativity, and top-quality ingredients. Whether it’s the perfectly cooked filet mignon, fresh seafood specials, or their decadent desserts, each plate is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, perfect for a special night out or romantic dinner. The wine selection is impressive, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. If you’re looking for a place where fine dining meets genuine hospitality, Carlos’ Bistro is a must-visit. Worth every penny and then some. I can’t wait to return!

Incredible service and food are sure to deliver a very memorable dining experience! Carlos Bistro delivers an amazing dining experience on all levels. My 41st birthday will forever be one of those incredible memories thanks to Carlos, his staff and especially the Chef(s)!!! We began our meal with the lobster bisque which came out with a lobster tail shell and all, as well as the crab cake. For the main course beef wellington and the 8oz filet mignon. Quality, cook, seasoning and portion sizes were all very well balanced and exploding with flavors. Dessert was a cheesecake crape with fresh berries and I enjoyed a EH Taylor straight rye whiskey from their nice range of whiskey and bourbon offerings. All across the board it was just amazing. Exquisite food with an exceptional service staff make Carlos Bistro a five experience. Thank you Carlos Bistro for making our evening unforgettable!

Outdoor Activities
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Colorado Springs, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo stands out as a premier conservation park that is home to over 700 animals. This unique mountain zoo offers visitors an array of interactive experiences, including the chance to feed giraffes and engage with various other species like goats and elephants. With its stunning exhibits such as the Asian Highlands and Rocky Mountain Wild, guests can explore diverse habitats while learning about endangered species conservation efforts.
Every year my sister and I take a trip together, we stop at one zoo per trip and we have visited some very cool zoos (KC zoo is our home zoo). This zoo was so much fun! And has some of the nicest enclosures, we were very excited about this. We LOVE seeing the animals have amazing space to live out their lives. While here the giraffe enclosure was being renovated. There was a baby gorilla. So many elephants and giraffes it was impressive. The hippos were vocal and the penguins come right up to the fence within reach.....but DO NOT touch them! The wallabys are free to roam so close the gates in their area! Loved this zoo

This place is AMAZING!! It's huge! Prepare for lots of walking and hills. Do not come here without pocket money. There are cafes and ice cream and popcorn and you can feed the giraffes so bring enough money for everyone in your group. But you can bring outside food and drinks so be smart. The animals are beautiful and look well cared for. The entire zoo was a clean environment. They even have 2 designated SMOKING AREAS!! like that was great to have a place to smoke. And there's staff everywhere so if you have questions about the animals or something else they're around to help. We had a fantastic day!!

This is a cool zoo. Easy to traverse and handicap accessible however some inclines as to be expected. Under construction during our visit but it didn’t stop us from seeing everything. Spent about 2 hours from start to finish. Love that they do dog days! So fun.
Jessica B — Google review
Although under renovation as of November 2025, you can still navigate this zoo without too much disruption. The upgrades will be completed sometime in 2026. The animals look very healthy and have room to move and the natural mountain setting is breathtaking. Anyone not accustomed to the elevation (and even locals) should come prepared with plenty of water for everyone in their party so as to not spoil the fun. The pizza restaurant is great with an enormous oven built in Italy and there are only two in the Western part of the US. If you want to bring your own cooler with lunch, it's allowed and there are multiple areas to set up your picnic. The sky ride up the mountain has an extra cost but it's worth it. There is a nice carousel for the kids for an extra $2. If navigating the mountain is difficult, you can purchase a $3. ticket that is good all day and get picked up and drop off by cart throughout the park. The entrance fee is reasonable so these extra costs are not outrageous. Unless you arrive by a car sharing service, you are required to purchase tickets online in advance because of the limited parking during construction. The Roger's shrine can be accessed by car, but you must get through the gate by 3pm. To see the majority of the park plan on 2-4 hours. Completely worth it! A beautiful retreat.

Super unique and fun zoo, friendly staff, lots to see. They are not kidding when they call this a "mountain zoo" because it's legit all uphill (bring a stroller if you have any kids under 3, because it's a ton of uphill walking and our 2.5 year old couldn't do it all). The layout is a little confusing, likely because of the zoo being on a mountain, you have to backtrack some to get to the next section, but once you figure it out, it's easy enough (use the maps to help). Despite these learning curves, we still had a great time, and our kids did too. Giving 5 stars because we didn't have any issues, just new experiences. Enjoy!!

Listen I know we've all been to the zoo. What could make this one so special right? I'm telling you it's magic. What makes it so enjoyable? - The zoo feels like it's made for the animals. Not for us. No overcrowding of as many different animals as possible into one place with lots of outdoor space and things to do make the animals less stressed. But honestly, it makes for a more enjoyable experience for the visitor as well. - Unique exhibit layout. Ways to experience animals I have frankly never encountered. - Lots of animal interaction opportunities. - Good food. This is a strange one to mention at a zoo but the food was shockingly tasty. - Incredible view. It's not very often that just walking around a zoo is half the beauty. I would come back here again and again. Cannot say enough good things.

The BEST zoo we have been too to date! We LOVED all the animal up close & being able to touch & feed animals. A lot of uphill but totally worth it! They have plenty of benches all over for resting if you get tired easily! Take a rain poncho, backpack, water, snacks. So cool that it is on the mountain. Loved the views. Excited for the new giraffe habitat to get finished to go back & see that! We got to see the new baby gorilla. Baby was definitely the star of the zoo, EVERYONE loved the baby. Too cute. Definitely recommend going to this zoo!
Brittny D — Google review
Stuck an amazing environment to bring our girls to! They have had stuck a blast every time we go. Last time the baby wallaby were out and they got to pet them. The staff also let our girls assist them in feeding the reptiles because we were practically the only people in the zoo, so a membership saved us the hassle of waiting in line and scored our 5 girls a once in a lifetime moment contributing to the zoos morning breakfast routine! Such an amazing and unforgettable day!

The Broadmoor Seven Falls is a stunning park in Colorado, known as the Grandest Mile of Scenery. It features a series of magnificent waterfalls, rising 1,250 feet between the towering Pillars of Hercules. The falls offer breathtaking views and opportunities to go behind them or climb challenging steps for stunning vistas. Accessible via shuttle bus from The Broadmoor hotel, it's an ideal spot for a morning excursion.
Beautiful scenery and well maintained. The waterfalls are worth seeing and some decent little hikes after. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. Got the quads burning but once again we'll worth it! We went on the weekend so the line for shuttle was long but they have a couple running so it wasn't to bad.

This was my favorite thing we did on our vacation to Colorado Springs. We went to the parking area around 8:30-8:45 and got right on a shuttle. The walk up to the falls after getting dropped off by the shuttle was some of the most amazing scenery I've ever experienced. We are 56 year olds who do exercise regularly and we did fine with the steps up. Once up the steps, we thoroughly enjoyed the hiking. When we came back down there were a lot more people there so we recommend going early. We did not have to wait long for a return shuttle. Highly recommend this adventure!

Our first time seeing the beauty of this place. Be prepared to walk but the walk is full of breath taking views. Once you reach the falls you'll have a 224 step climb to to the top but it is well worth it when you get to the top. This is a must see in Colorado Springs. Well worth the $23 admission. We have an amazing day and some us forgettable memories.

I visited on an early fall morning as the sun was rising. To get to the falls, you will need to park at the Penrose Event Center and take the free shuttle ride to Seven Falls due to limited parking at the Falls. It's a 0.8 mile walk on a paved path to the falls from the entrance. There are many towering rocks and streams along the way. You can view the waterfalls by climbing up 224 very steep stairs or from the eagles nest viewing platform which can be accessed from an elevator. Well worth the visit!
Lyndee D — Google review
Worth the wait and cost to get in! It was a beautiful walk through the gorge up to the waterfall with a pretty stream and mini waterfalls off to the side of the path. You have to take a shuttle there. It takes a while to get on the shuttle and then walk up to the falls so definelty plan a decent chunk of your day if not expect it to take most of your day, this for sure isn’t a quick trip in and out!

This place was beautiful Its a lot of walking and once you go up the stairs and back down my legs were killing me. If you are scared of heights definitely dont do it. I was up 7 stairs and got supper scared and had to cling on the rail If I dared to look up or down I got really bad vertigo. The water wasn't running as good as other people's photos. Must be the time of the year. We were the first people In the park so everything was closed but the only bathrooms are 1/3 of the way in Beautiful walk up it's a little hard in the knees and once you get to the top it's beautiful
Anabel H — Google review
It was nice, short hikes, stairs are a lot for people that don’t like stairs. The Eagle’s Nest has an elevator, I recommend using that so then there is only one set of stairs to climb. There is no access to the falls from the Eagle’s Nest or the hiking trail. The shuttles at the end were crazy. We had to wait over an hour as they didn’t have enough shuttles to get everyone back and they took a long time for some reason to turn back around. Several people walked the miles back and some took Uber’s.

Noteworthy are the wood-fired pizzas and the tradition of Aperitivo hour at Bar Del Lago, providing an opportunity to savor drinks while enjoying views of Cheyenne Lake.
Whether you come for breakfast or dinner, you will have a great experience. I have had their buffet breakfast and a la carte as well and I have been very happy with both, the options available at the buffet breakfast are endless, make sure to come with a big appetite! I have been here various nights for dinner, and it has never disappointed. The food is fresh and flavourful! If you sit at the patio or near the windows, you will have a beautiful view for breakfast or early evenings. The service is amazing, similar service you get through out the Broadmoor!

Food -- Large but well-structured menu of a variety of Italian dishes for all courses one would desire. The food itself is of good quality ingredients and decent preparation -- a bit under-seasoned for my palate, but that's me. The wine and cocktail list are sufficiently large without being intimidating (and, honestly, the house Rosso was just fine). Service -- As with all the Broadmoor, service was solid, attentive, friendly, and helpful. Top notch. Ambiance -- Nicely appointed dining room, with picture window views of the Broadmoor lake and main buildings. My only complaint here would be that the room's surfaces make it very noisy -- my dinner mate and I could chat, but I had problems hearing the waitress at our table. Value -- The Broadmoor is expensive, and this restaurant is no exception. With a carafe of House Red and an starter and main each, plus a coffee and an after dinner drink, it was over $100 a person for the two of us. Definitely worth it for special occasions; maybe not for casual dining. Net-Net -- Glad we went. Next time we are staying at the Broadmoor, we'll certainly be back.

Highlights were service, drinks and ambiance. My critiques are that the margarita pizza was undercooked. No crispness to it, and it lacked flavor. It’s rare to have a bad pizza anywhere so I was very surprised. Also, I wished the entree pasta portion sizes were a bit larger. For Italian food you expect big portions. A highlight was the bar. The cocktails were delicious albeit expensive at $30 after tax and tip.

We have come here a few times to enjoy cocktails but it was our first time having a full dinner experience to celebrate our anniversary and wow - the food and service were phenomenal! The ravioli, sweet corn, and shrimp special was top tier along with the balsamic beet salad. Our server Haley was incredibly professional and had fantastic recommendations for our night - appetizers, entrees, desserts, wine pairings and all! She mentioned she was new to this restaurant but it seems like she has been there for years. We will certainly be back! Thanks for a memorable night!

I am disappointed at The Broadmoor and the quality of the food offered at a their version of an Authentic Italian restaurant. The food is highly overpriced for the lack of quality and flavor I would expect from Italians. This food taste lacks flavor, the ‘drip’, and Italian herbs and spices I would expect. The olive oil for the dipping bread was authentic oil. The bread was fresh and soft and I loved it. I would not recommend this restaurant as you are paying for the name and not the quality of the food.

The Broadmoor management evidently labeled me a "complaining guest" after my Google maps review of breakfast at The Lake Terrace. For no good reason the manager at del Lago comped my glass of Taurasi. This is a pleasantly fitted dining room with a lovely view over The Broadmoor's own lake. In my opinion it is a business mistake not to offer breakfast and lunch here, when the view could be monetized more. However, as with the Lake Terrace, there is something amiss in the F&B department. I ordered campanelle carbonara. "Campanelle" should be a delicate bell-shape. What I got was hard lumps of solid pasta more or less the shape and thickness of a .45 caliber bullet (in varying lengths), which no sauce was going to penetrate. Aware that I had probably used up my goodwill over my complaint regarding poached eggs at The Lake Terrace, I just ate it without comment. Eat at this restaurant for the view and the pleasant decor, and you're probably safe with pizza and spaghetti.

*Update* Was convinced to come back for a second try. Came back NOT during a conference week. The quality and experience was night and day difference. So much flavor and much better portion size. Had the mussels and rigatoni. Outstanding service as well with Gracie and the other staff. Great view of the lake. Under seasoned sauce, underwhelming/overpriced portion size, bitter olive oil. Surprising as they allegedly get their olive oil from Italy. Will not return. Go to Summit instead.

La Taverne is a sophisticated dining spot offering top-quality steak, seafood, and classic cocktails. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date night or any special occasion with its indoor garden setting. The restaurant prides itself on serving locally sourced beef from a Colorado farm and an extensive selection of fresh seafood. Guests can enjoy the enchanting atmosphere surrounded by trees adorned with lights and a lush living wall of potted plants.
I have been coming here every year and the quality of food and selection is always above par. Their signature item is the French Onion Soup! Must try. This beautiful restaurant, nested inside the Broadmoor is absolutely beautiful with amazing food and ambiance. Every year they have something different so it never gets old. Perfect for dates and meetings - although it does get very loud. Maybe they should think about some acoustic paneling. My favorite here is their French onion soup (no one can beat it) and I absolutely love their fresh bread the butter. Portions are decent and their service is great. If you are alone they do have 5 bar seats which don’t require reservations. Recommend: pastas, salad and soups, seafood. Very fresh. Seasoned French fries Do not recommend: burger or steak - last time it was hard and undercooked.

Strong seafood flavors, but mixed experience overall. The seafood and anchovy flavors were quite strong—maybe too much for some. The bread was just okay, but the butter stood out and was really tasty. The sea bass was mediocre, nothing special. The steak was definitely the best dish we had. Wine was good and paired nicely with the meal.

We had a wonderful lunch on the patio at La Taverne at The Broadmoor. The setting was beautiful and relaxing, the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon. I ordered the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and topped with a perfectly golden, cheesy crust—it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The peppered turkey sandwich was fresh and delicious, stacked with great flavor and just the right amount of kick. Together, it made for an outstanding meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the entire experience felt like classic Broadmoor hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone visiting—especially if you can sit out on the patio!

We had dinner at La Taverne, and considering the sky-high pricing, I was expecting attentive service and great food. Unfortunately I was disappointed on both. First the good news. I had the lamb chops ($78), which were tasty, albeit not a full rack. The onion soup however, supposedly a signature dish, came out charred on one side (see pic). Note: the server was gracious enough to replace it. I also liked the sharp scissors they give you to cut the cheese cleanly for each bite. The service was also slow. It literally took 15 minutes to serve our bread and butter, and the same for our drinks. Maybe it was an off night. It was Friday, so I would have expected them to be on their game. Bottom line- nothing was “horrible,” but certainly not worth the price tag, IMHO. The hotel itself is beautiful, however, and worth a walk around the grounds.

I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my college graduation dinner at La Taverne and I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable evening. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was truly outstanding. The staff treated my family and friends with such warmth and care, making us all feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you to the wine expert, who went above and beyond to guide me through the perfect selections. His attention to detail and genuine kindness really stood out. And our waiter, Rakesh, was divine. His service was exceptional, attentive, and full of grace. He made the entire experience feel so special. The highlight of the night was being surprised with a beautifully presented congratulations cake to honor my graduation it was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that meant the world to me. My fiancé and I already know we’ll be back for future special occasions, and my family, who flew in from New York City, has already said they’ll be returning here on their next visit. La Taverne made our evening unforgettable, and I couldn’t recommend it more for a truly elegant and heartfelt dining experience.

Had a Wagyu strip steak, which was correctly cooked over a gas flame (not by infrared, which doesn’t produce any char flavor. It was good quality meat, juicy, had been allowed to rest in the kitchen before serving. The duck-fat fries were ordinary, in fact starchy, not even as good as McDonald’s. The restaurant consists of many sections which kind of flow into each other, which I would describe as pub-like, cellar-like, and garden with glass roof. I was placed in the cellar-like section, which was very dark. There were mini-lamp fixtures on the tables but the staff said there weren’t enough of the actual light-emitting inserts, so my table got a very faint bulb that cast no light on the table at all. You probably shouldn’t agree to be seated in that section, but the steak itself was good. Tell them not to put their butter topping on the steak, because it’s flavored with something and detracts from the steak.

Enjoyed the clam bisque and loaded baked potato. Cool ambiance, almost Vegas like. Service was great as you’d expect at a Broadmoor restaurant.

First & Main Town Center is a sprawling retail complex in Colorado Springs, offering a wide array of major brand stores, nearly 30 dining options, hotels, and services. With over 80 shops and eateries, it's the largest outdoor retail center in the city. The center hosts free community events throughout the year and features a refreshing splash fountain that provides a cool oasis for visitors to enjoy.
This is a great place to go shopping and get some food. It's on the nicer side of town (if that even exists in the Springs). The shops are all newer and exceptionally clean. There are also several really good restaurants in the area. Just north of here is the Ultimate Buffet which has a large ethnic selection along with traditional favorites like steak and salad. The desserts are pretty freaking delicious too. The prices are reasonable too, and it's all-you-can-eat. The sushi is pretty good for the Springs and they have this Cajun seafood bake that has DELICIOUS mussels. If you're into crab legs, they have that too.

I love going to First and Main. The little sitting area is always clean. The restaurants and shops are always have people. During the summer the water splash pad is so nice. The lights on the trees at night. Its a great place for families to visit. Food, shopping, movie, and ice cream.

FIX THE PARKING LOT!! Who do I bill for the damage to my car after hitting a pond sized deep pothole. There are so many potholes that you cannot drive across the parking lot in a straight line. Absolutely ridiculous slumlord. I'll be posting pictures soon.

I visited J C Penney's. It still is a great store. Very clean, the restroom was very clean. Unfortunately, with the rising costs everywhere for everyone their prices have gone up. They do offer coupons, if you are a card holder, or they have them at the registers I was told. Their sales can be very good,

Love this place! So much to do! You can go shopping, eat, see a movie, get a hair cut lol. My favorite movie theater hands down! The only reason I gave it a four start is the fact that they stopped the water fountain! I hadn't gone there in a long time from moving across town. We went to see a movie over the summer and they had paved over it 😥 I had great memories of my little girl there. Sad to see it go. Still a great shopping center check it out!

Very nice center, we had gone to the Bottom Restaurant and then a movie at the Cinema after the movie we got ice cream at the Cold Stone next door, all in the same areas and walking distance . This day, Friday, around 5 pm they had a free concert outside in the park across from the movies which was fun to sit listen to the music and eat our icecream 🍦.

Pizza restaurant
Fargo's Pizza Co. is a Victorian-style restaurant known for its handmade pizzas and self-serve salad bar, offering seating for up to 500 guests. Established in 1973 by brothers Leon and Landon Gardner, the restaurant has become a popular spot for both locals and visitors from around the world. The restaurant's folklore tale revolves around a western gambler named Fargo who fell in love with an Italian immigrant named Sophia, leading to the creation of Fargos Pizza.
This place is such a hidden gem! Fargos Pizza Co. is a Victorian-themed pizza restaurant with so much character and charm. It has an arcade, a magician, and even face painting for kids, which makes it a wonderful spot for families. For 20 years we’ve driven by and always said, “we’ll go there someday.” I regret waiting so long because we finally went—and had an absolute blast! The atmosphere is beautiful and surprisingly quiet, even with all the kid-friendly activities going on. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. It was pretty busy when we went, so there was a short wait for food, but the staff checked in with us constantly to reassure us our order was on the way. Sure enough, our number popped up on the mirror and our food was ready. The food itself was delicious, and the pricing and portions were honestly amazing—dinner for three people, with a tip, came out to only $28. In this day and age, that’s unheard of! We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone. Whether you’re bringing kids, going on a date, or just hanging out with friends, Fargos has a little something for everyone. Don’t wait 20 years like we did—go check it out!

I came to this restaurant years ago and hated it. I heard that it was under new ownership so I would give it a try again. The pricing was high for the size of the pizza. The pizza is much better than it used to be. I will say that half the service was good. The guy who took our order was very helpful as was the drink guy. Once our pizzas and garlic knots were ready I waited a while for someone to give me my order. She was not very happy or friendly and forgot the garlic knots. We sat upstairs and it was overly hot. They did have some fans up there, but we had to take it from another table to use it. Over half of the tables were dirty and covered in dishes. They do have a magician and my kids really enjoyed watching him. Half the arcade games are still not working. There is no change machine or atm so bring cash or change. The place is getting better than it was, but still has a ways to go to be in good working order.
Breanna S — Google review
I’ve gone to this place since I was young, on and off over the years. Fargos is an experience. Fun for kids in a unique dining environment. The service style has always been to order, watch the mirrors for your number and pick up your food. Pizza is good and the salad bar is as well. Throw a quarter in the piano and enjoy the full old west experience this place has to offer. Great place for a family gathering or a kids party. Game room, magician, and decor will keep families entertained.
Douglas H — Google review
I'll start by saying, if food is your primary driver for stopping in - you're already in the wrong frame of mind. That being said, if you have kids under 14 - definitely go without any further debate. There were about 10 birthday/youth sports team parties on the night I went. The venue is super cool, unique, and fun. Spacious, and plenty of neat things to look at. The experience is more than just dining, and I really enjoyed the venue and atmosphere. The pizza crust is actually really, really good - right amount of crispy, and texture. Unfortunately, everything else is extremely bland. Everything (even the ranch dressing!). I think there's real potential here, honestly re-do the sauce from the ground up, adding flavor, and you'll have a pretty good pie. Revisit other ingredients (both on the pizza and salad bar) and spend a little more to add taste. I think it'd go a long way to really spark more business (not that it was anywhere near empty when I went) In conclusion, I do recommend stopping in. Simply adjust expectations, and go for the experience over food, and you'll have a great time.

Cute, old-western themed restaurant with surprisingly good food. The pizzas were just the right crispness with plenty of toppings, and the cheese ravioli with meat sauce was delicious. The soda machine has that good ice. There's a game room with games for all ages, including Pac Man, Galaga, and Skee-Ball. The whole place is really well-decorated with all kinds of fun stuff, and is filled with beautiful stained glass windows. Definitely worth checking out!

So the wife and I were looking for some food while out and about for the day. Saw this was nearby and figured we'd try. First off, I can't say anything bad about the look of the place. It looks like somewhere you might have seen during the wild west days of Colorado. The saloon apparel worn by the waitresses worked as well. Now we get to the parts that weren't so good. Now this is based on lunch on friday, where maybe 20 tables were being used. It took about 20 minutes for our order to be called. We had an 11" sausage pizza, Alfredo pasta, and some cream of potato soup. Nothing crazy. The pizza looked and tasted like a frozen pizza. The sausage on the pizza was even that small nugget style you see on frozen pizzas. My wife said her pasta and soup were on the bland side. So all in all, not a place I'd probably come back to.

Shopping mall
The Citadel Mall is a prominent shopping destination in Southern Colorado, offering a vast array of stores and boutiques, including popular retailers like Dillard's, JCPenney, and Sportsmans Warehouse. The mall spans 1.1 million square feet and features an assortment of apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, electronics stores, salons, a food court, and play areas.
I was impressed by this mall. Not from the outside, because it looks abandoned and concreet is missing on sooner parts of the roads on the parking lot. But many stores were open. Not like in many other malls where there's 1 open shop and then 6 closed ones. We had a nice time strolling thru the mall and look in don't shops. The central area with the food court was very nice, it remembered me to the old days where the mall was a gathering point for youth.

If you are debating on whether to visit Citadel or Chapel Hills, please visit this one. The food court is so beautiful and unique. Gorgeous is an understatement. Not your average boring, modern aesthetic. Reminds me of mall in the 90's in every best way possible. Great food selections with a very wide variety of cuisines to choose from.

Prior to this visit, I hadn’t been to the Citadel Mall in years, and to be honest, I came here expecting the worse, but this mall seems to be in very good shape. I must say, generally speaking, this mall seems bigger than the others I’ve visited, and it still has a fair amount of stores. The mall was also very kept up and clean, and I felt safe here seeing lawn enforcement and security. This mall generally will meet your expectations for what you’d expect for a mall, there’s department stores, activities, food court, etc. overall I’d recommend the Citadel Mall, its kept up and convenient.
Ayden M — Google review
At first, we liked the stores here well enough to keep coming back despite the mall itself. At this point I’m over it. The place is filthy (like bathroom stalls completely covered in toilet paper and pee everywhere) and I’d be shocked if they have a cleaning crew. The food court is way overpriced even for a mall food court. The stores are pretty much bare bones in way of staff. It’s sad to see what could be a pleasant mall looking so horribly
Courtney R — Google review
They have a van that’s been sitting overnight for a year or longer already but the one night I gotta stay out of my vehicle these people are harassing me to leave. Colorado Springs is the only place I have ever stayed where you’re not welcomed anywhere.
Jona M — Google review
This mall has seen better days. Half of this place is empty and dark. It would have died years ago if it wasn't for the few flagship stores still open. Maybe if the turned the lights back on and increased security they could at least get people to shop there.
G T — Google review
I know the Citadel gets a bad rap but I absolutely love going there and just browsing through the different stores. I also find the cafeteria to be beautiful. I do wish there were more stores, or that stores would be able to stay in business for longer (I know online retailers are really taking over the market), but I still have a warm spot in my heart for the Citadel.

Hiking Trails
Palmer Park is a 737-acre wildlife preserve located on a mesa, offering various outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and sports fields. It provides stunning views of Pikes Peak from the front range, especially during sunset when the peak stands out in all its glory. The park's maze of multi-use trails allows visitors to escape the surrounding urban environment and enjoy the natural oasis created by city founder General William Jackson Palmer.
I love bringing my dogs here. It's fun to be on the main dog trail and let them run around as we do our hike. Everyone here is very very friendly and I never feel uncomfortable to my dogs roam around as they please. If you are not a dog person, there are still plenty of other trails for hikers where dogs must be on leashes.
Kristopher T — Google review
I would say this is also a must visit in Colorado Springs. Visit the Grand View Overlook during sunset and I bet you will love it. The park itself has plenty of other trails that you can hike and they all look well maintained.

Very pretty, rocky hike with views on either side. Got the heart pumping! Back in December 2024 on a different trail, went down a couple of rocks from the top and accidentally got off path. Some tree-trimmers had a good laugh watching me come out of nowhere.

This is an amazing park, the long off leash trail is beautiful and so much fun for the dogs and me as well. It feels like a trip to the forest just 10 minutes from home. It’s so well maintained, the park rangers are great.

My kiddo loved it here! There are quite a few jungle gyms that the kids can play on and swings to swing on. Theres even a tree they can climb on as well. The afternoon tends to be the busiest since all the parents are getting off and want their littles to run out all of their energy. So it maybe better to go in the AM or early afternoon.
Daionna J — Google review
I had a great time hiking out here for my first time in CO springs. The area is very dry but also lush and beautiful with great views of Pikes Peak and the incline in the distance. Short easy loop with enough incline to make it a good hike.

I have played the playground for about an hour and a half. They have three different play areas within the same distance, and two sets of swings. Definitely a park for all ages. Lots of places to sit and watch your Kiddos. Also, a good amount of parking to accommodate the amount of people who were there. Then we went and drove up to the top of Palmer park to walk the trails. I love how dog friendly the place is even though we did not have a dog. The kids absolutely enjoyed seeing all the animals, and you could just see the happiness on the dogs faces being off leash and running around. We took a long walk down the hillside, and then into the tree lines. The trail was great. It had been raining for the past few days and it was not too muddy, but it was definitely muddy in some spots. Entrails also used by biking groups and we encountered a couple while we were a few miles in. We walked back up to the top, and then we drove down to Lot 12 to look and climb the rocks. The kids had so much fun and would definitely recommend this park. For kiddos who do not have a bunch of hiking experience. This was a great park to get their feet wet. It gives lots of beautiful views, and the trail really feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere instead of in the middle of town.

There are many choices here. This is one of the cleanest parking lot and areas that I have been to. There is not a lot of loitering around here or a lot of people asking for things from you whenever you stop somewhere. Thanks for keeping things clean and safe down here. University Village Colorado Shopping Center is at a great location on North Nevada just minutes from I-25. If you need to shop for home Lowes is a staple there will all your home improvement needs. My favorite restaurants and there. Tokyo Joes has fresh Sushi or stir fried bowls with meat and Vegetables. BJ's Brewery has an incredible mix of fresh local and international brews. I take my beer snob friends there. Hacienda has the freshest Mexican Food, Prawns wrapped in bacon, and Chicken Fajitas are a popular choice there , with fresh guacamole served fresh tableside. Noting Bunt Cakes is a family favorites as well having small Bunties to grab on the way to a social gathering or a large bunt cake for a birthday celebration. Pet's Mart is a quick stop to pick up your pets some food, kennel, toys or treat. Chipotle is a family favorite as well. You can have fresh food quickly. The Cowboy Star Restaurant is a special occasion restaurant is a unique dining experience. Their fresh Angus beef is incredible. Their seafood is so fresh. For a healthier choice Bone Fish is fantastic, fresh seafood / fish and vegetable choice tasty but heathy. You can get a haircut at the Locals Barber Shop your nails done at LV Nails or take on a relaxing massage at Massage Green Spa. I would recommend the University Village Colorado Shopping Center to everyone.

Love the atmosphere and the music 🎶. The food was amazing especially the steak! 🥩 I was seated at the bar and no one else was there so it felt lonely but the gentleman cooking the steaks made sure to interact with me as much as he could. Service was timely and the kitchen looked to run as seamless as possible. Overall great experience.

I was celebrating my first anniversary here and every person on staff we ran into wished us happy anniversary. They also had a rose and hand signed carded waiting for us at our table. Food wise you can’t go wrong, everything we had was great. But the real standout was the American Wagyu NY Strip. It’s pricey but absolutely worth it. The guy who served us on Oct-26 at 8pm was really great and did an amazing job. The GM was also very personable and made us feel special If you’re in CO springs, do not pass this place up!

We had an outstanding experience! Cody, our server, was absolutely amazing. Attentive, friendly, and truly on top of everything. Grace, the server assistant, was wonderful as well and made sure we always had what we needed. And Abby at the host stand set the tone for the night with her warm welcome; I really appreciated how she walked us to our table and even highlighted a bit of the beverage menu on the way. The Porterhouse was incredible! Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The sides were a bit on the smaller side, and the seats weren’t the most comfortable, but honestly the exceptional service and overall atmosphere more than made up for it.

An absolute MUST if you are in the Colorado Springs Area. And if you're a local who hasn't dined here I highly suggest you do so. If price is a concern their happy hour menu offers high quality, delicious, affordable, filling options. We were immediately, kindly greeted and sat in the bar area. Josh, our waiter, is exceptional; very courteous, professional and informative about the menu and restaurant. Ordering off the happy hour menu, I order the "C-Star" Caesar Salad, I certainly appreciate the creativity with the bacon cut up to resemble croutons, the anchovies were a nice touch. The Steak Fritz which was a decent cut of steak cooked as ordered, was full of flavor, served with a mountain of fries. (I ordered for the Bordelaise on the side.) Now the fries themselves are so amazing I'm drooling as I write this. They are "housemade" -The most amazing made from scratch in house fries, you will ever eat! They are fried to perfection -a crispy golden brown- and seasoned well. The best fries I've ever had!!! My partner order the GOCHUJANG MARINATED BEEF SKEWERS and they were so tender, the taste was outstanding, and the kimchi aioli is like a burst of several flavors. (I'll be ordering the skewers on our next trip). I could not be more impressed with the food or the service from all employees. My partner felt equally amused and expressed this on a napkin, in English and Arabic. Highly recommend! We are certainly looking forward to returning and enjoying our meal on the patio which opens soon! I can't wait. And great job, really, to the entire staff; hostess, chef, back of house, front of house, bar staff, management and owners, and anyone I've left out- your diligence is evident in every aspect. Thank you.

This restaurant is a real treat from start to finish! I called to check on availability for one, and they have special seating called the chef's counter, which literally gives you a full-on display of the kitchen. Now, some people may not like this, however it was wonderful to watch the cooperation, dedication to craft, and overall professional atmosphere of the kitchen staff. My waiter, as well as the other staff members who tended to me, were very kind and welcoming. The timing of receiving menus and explanation of specials was well thought out. This felt like fine dining, and I hadn't even received my meal yet! Now, the meal itself? In a word: Phenomenal! Between my cocktail, Caesar salad starter and main course of steak and sides, I was presented with palette cleansers that were delicate and refreshing. This establishment is truly an experience, and I encourage those who are able to check out this incredible restaurant! My one regret is that I didn't try their dessert menu, perhaps next time!!

My Wife and I had our Anniversary at Cowboy star event though I messed up the reservation they still found us seating at the "Chef's Bar". It over looked the open kitchen BUT I'm glad we got to sit there, the experience was so fun and the Chef's were super friendly. Very welcoming environment and staff. Prices for the food was decently priced, and soooo good! yes they are aged steaks your gonna pay more.

If you're a fan of McDonald's, mark your calendars for September 18! On this special day, customers who place their orders through the McDonald’s app can treat themselves to a delicious double cheeseburger for just 50 cents. This offer is available at participating locations and is limited to one per customer. It's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a classic favorite while exploring the convenience of mobile ordering!
Good McDonald's but the one on Voyager is even better...and I'd say a lot better. The girl in the drive thru named Ellania was super kind and brought the place to life and made sure everything was perfect with a perfect smile. Very kind and made the entire experience just better with a genuine smile.

I ordered a Qtr Pounder w/ Cheese. The word cheese is literally in the name, however I received no cheese. Just because I wanted it plain, doesn't mean remove every single thing. A plain cheeseburger still has cheese on it... in top of that, the meat has holes in it and is just awful looking. I've had betterReally bad experience, make me wait for 20min. And them they were sure i had my food. Really bad attitude, and the manager didn't even apologize. experience at McDonald's so I'm not sure what happened today. Also, they need to stop being so stingy on the sauces. I got a 6pc Chicken Nugget with BBQ sauce and they only gave me one sauce. There should be at least 2 sauces for a 6pc. Just disappointing.

Customer service is nice but the food is upsetting , you can ask for lite sauce and they give you EXTRA sauce . I mean soggy uneatable… I asked for a PLAIN cheese burger and got everything on it …. Came additional day prior to this and waited 15 mins for 2 happy meals and saw a vehicle being me get 2 happy meals and additional items and was told was just waiting for fries … & OF COURSE the would mess up the order !!!! Poor service

Absolutely terrible! I ordered eight meals and a large fry and they told me to pull around and park in spot 3 but then I sat there for 35 minutes. When I called them to ask what was going on they thought that I had driven off and didn't feel the need to look up the front window to see that my car was in fact where they told me to park. Not only that but my order was completely wrong and they forgot two of the main components so once I got home I had to turn around and drive all the way back. Do not recommend this location

Don’t allow customers to place orders online when you can’t provide the food. I understand that I went at 3am, but that is my lunch time. And if all you’re going to serve is hot cakes. Maybe add that in the app before I waste my time driving to your location that can’t/won’t serve what I ordered. Also maybe your employees need to be a little more knowledgeable about the app. I have never had this issue so I asked if I already paid or how I get a refund because on the app it said paid, the young lady had no idea she said figure it out on the app. When asked what’s their store number was I was asked to move it along by another employee. This happened early Sunday morning around 3 am, maybe your employees need better training it was a simple question that was met with disrespect.

This is probably the most mismanaged McDonald's I have ever had the misfortune of expecting a reasonable minimum amount of competent service. My wife and I stop on the way to work for two frappuccinos. We pulled into the drive thru confident our wait would be minimal. I provided the mobile order number and was told to pull forward. At the pick up window a crew member motioned to move forward without a greeting. After 20 minutes first my wife went inside to check on our order but got no response from anyone at the counter. Upon seeing the lack of communication by the staff I immediately left my car and went in and retrieve my order after requesting my order or my refund. It seemed besides being late for work all was well. Later on that morning I called my wife to asked if she had experienced any digestive issues I was already on bout number two. That morning we competed to see who had the most trips to the restroom. So if terrible service and diarrhea is what your looking for this your place.

This place is brand new and already put a bad taste in my mouth. Every employee here needs to be retrained. They charged me 20 cents to substitute the onions instead of using the SUB button, my sweet tea was unsweet, they didn’t give me the ranch I paid for so I had to go back in, AND check out the pic of my quarter pounder. They put the cheese halfway on the burger, half in the box, and the 20 cent onions I paid for were just scattered in the box, not on the burger. What is going on here????

Caitlin is the most WONDERFUL employee. I have a swath of allergies & she offered great guidance and I now make a point to stop through and at least get a drink & support them! Kindest employee in the city! Plus the decor is pretty cute & they keep it all nice and clean!

Fast food restaurant
Located in Briargate, Drifter's Hamburgers is a local favorite for California-style burgers made with fresh local beef.
Absolutely delicious. Tastes like a homemade burger in the best way possible. It is definitely fast food, meaning the line was long, but they were incredibly fast! I’ve never had service this fast or fresh at any other “fast food” restaurant. It was far far better than In-N-Out. Their fries are like McDonald’s style fries, but better! This will definitely be our go to place for a burger from here on out!
Kevin C — Google review
Pros: I got the double burger and it was delicious and hot. Comparable to In-n-Out burger. I’d be back for the food as it definitely was good. OK price ($6.70 for just a double burger, no fries, no drink, that’s way smaller than In-Out Double-Double Burger). The employees are friendly. Cons: Only drive through. LONG wait time sitting in the car and burning all that gasoline. On Tuesday around 6:30 pm the wait time was 25 minutes. The place is not attractive looking, looks beat up. I won’t be back unless I’m already in the area and there’s no more than 2-3 cars ahead.
Roksana L — Google review
Worst meal and service I’ve had in a very long time. I get off work at 8pm so I understand showing up close to an hour before closing time but there is no excuse for how old my food is, and how long I had to sit in front of the drive thru speaker before anyone even acknowledged I was there. My food looks completely different from the other reviews. My fries are stale and rubbery, the patty is so dry and old that the cheese didn’t even melt, and my sweet tea is sour. I ordered two drinks and two shakes and got one drink and one shake. I guess the only time to go is the afternoon, but I will never be coming back to try. The food will be tossed, and my money is wasted. I’ve been disappointed by restaurants many times, things happen, but not very often do I make bad reviews on my food. This was a very upsetting experience to say the least.

Very similar to in n out. Fries are by far way better than in n out. The burger is very good but I prefer in n outs burger over drifters. Good customer service
Shandon W — Google review
My first time here. I read the reviews while sitting in line so some of my comments are because of them. Was a bit taken aback by the fact that I couldn't go in at first, but, if thats their thing, then I can adapt. There were at least 6 cars ahead of me, but I didn't feel I was in line that long. The girl that took my order was pleasant as was the boy at the window. The price seemed about average if not less than. My burger was hot when handed to me. As for the food, I chose to not have the house sauce (don't know whats in it), or lettuce. Personally I prefer mustard and pickles on my burger but, hey, we all have our own tastes. They were nice about my choices and I brought it home and added my stuff. I will say the tomato was overly ripe and mostly liquid and I certainly wouldn't call the onions grilled. I honestly didn't notice anything special about this burger to rave about it, nor come back for, but it is definitely better than the last place I tried (Freddy's). Overall - food in my gut without breaking the bank.

Pretty good, comparable to In N out and way better than any other chain burger place. Would have liked to eat inside but it's drive thru only. My kid said it was the best strawberry milkshake ever. Fries needed salt, would come back if the line isn't too long.
K B — Google review
Drive thru only! OK, so I'm trying it out for the first time. I've heard it's like or better than in and out. Let me say in MY Opinion, it's very much like in and out, but it's definitely not better. The best part is the burger, which is great and dam near close to in and out, but the freshness and quality is a bit lacking with my one experience. The French fries were not good at all. They tasted like they were cooked in old oil or lard with a bad and overwhelming aftertaste. I tried the strawberry shake, and it was OK but lacked flavor. The prices are a bit more expensive than in n out, and I still prefer the double double and animal style fries. Also, the dining room being closed sucks obviously... Overall, I still recommend giving them a try because you will like it and possibly love it!

First time my husband and I stopped here. We kept hearing good things about Drifter’s so decided to give it a go. We both ordered cheeseburgers wild side, French fries and Diet Pepsi. The building was closed at the time so we had no option but to use the drive thru. The line was long but really… it didn’t take too long to get through the line. First impression, hamburger was very delicious, reminded me of McDonald’s with their thin patties and skinny French fries. Not crazy about the fries but some people do like skinny fries. They weren’t overly salted which was good. We didn’t feel full off the single patty and French fries so we went back through the drive thru (much shorter this time) and ordered a regular vanilla and strawberry shake. They were a bit tough to suck through the straws but as it melted it got easier. Both of us tried each others and agreed they both tasted the exact same, only mine was pink (strawberry). I do appreciate the meal was a fair price. $9.85 for the cheeseburger combo. $3.79 for regular shake. Overall, it was a good littler burger joint. Not my first choice but still good if in the neighborhood.

El Rey Del Taco 2 is a charming little gem tucked away in Downtown Colorado Springs, surrounded by modern apartments and trendy cafes. This family-run establishment has been serving up delicious Colorado-style Mexican cuisine since 1976, earning accolades along the way. Known for its mouthwatering tacos and the standout Avocado Pork Burrito smothered in zesty green chili, it’s no wonder this spot attracts a steady stream of taco enthusiasts during lunch hours.
Love this place! The staff is always right on top of things. The birria is awesome! Love the salsa bar. Been coming here for years and will continue to be my go to for authentic Mexican food.

l really liked the tables ❤️ they were so colorful! The waitress was kind and efficient. My burrito was really tasty 😋🤤 and I was able to get one birraria taco, super yummy! It was also nice to choose from a bunch of salsa, that was not easy choosing my favorite. The restaurant is in a quiet shopping area, they need to get the parking lot paved!! It's hard to believe such a yummy little Mexican restaurant is right there tucked in the corner. Don't let it fool you it's a delicious little spot! I totally recommend 😊👍🏻

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the Springs. Great food, great service, colorful atmosphere. On this stop my wife got the Birria Ramen and I had the Enchilada Suizas. Both were excellent. We love the condiments/salad bar. It has five or six kinds of salsa with varying degrees of heat. Our server was very friendly and thorough. The atmosphere, as I said, is colorful and festive. Prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend!

Best mexican food in town so far! Very tasty, very fresh, big servings and loved their salsa bar!!! Oh and the horchata was delicious 😋🤤
Dawn M — Google review
Food was good but the waitress decided to tip herself and not based on a percent but based on a dollar amount. When I asked when they started tipping themselves for only 3 people she acted like she didn't hear me and then when I asked again she said "oh the computer does it by its self". When I called to speak with a manager he said "I don't know let me talk to your server first and then I'll give you a call back" WITHOUT taking a call back number for me l definitely will not be going back being that the server took it upon herself to tip herself and that the manager I asked for didn't seem to think this was an issue. *the issue wasn’t tipping I always tip good the issue was she tipped herself with no reasoning behind it*

Growing up in california, I've always felt its hard to find good mexican food outside of my home state(especially in the springs). Overall I was very impressed with the quality of food, the service and beautiful design inside this hidden gem. Whenever family comes to visit me from california I bring them here and they are never dissapointed.

I got the shrimp cocktail. It barely had any vegetables, the cocktail was super sweet (which wasnt too bad), and I got crackers instead of tostadas. I even confirmed they had tostadas and said I wanted it before recieving my food. I also tipped. Maybe their other food is good but 🤷‍♀️. It was my first time going there, maybe i'll give it another try in future but not anytime soon. The customer service and atmosphere was good though.

El Taco Del Rey 2 is an absolute gem. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and tasted like it was made with real care. They even have a salsa bar! Video arcade
Manitou Springs Penny Arcade is a nostalgic gaming haven in Colorado, featuring a vast collection of arcade games spanning from vintage pinball machines to modern video games. It's an ideal family-friendly destination where kids can enjoy hours of entertainment at minimal costs. The arcade doubles as a museum, showcasing gaming history with machines dating back to the early 1930s or even earlier.
Such a fun place to go and play around for a couple hours or take the kids as well. If you have a machine that swallows your money and doesn’t do anything make sure you tell an attendant they are very helpful. We really enjoyed it, especially using our pennies, nickels and dimes on some of the older more random machines in the back of one of the largest buildings.

Easily the best place in Manitou. Perfect for a first date. So many things to do plenty of games great atmosphere. Would have loved to be here back when this was in its heyday. Staff is very frequently and everything is extremely cheap, which is pretty impressive considering it's location. This is a absolute must visit for anyone.

A must stop when visiting Manitou Springs. Fun for kids and adults. Stop at the Burger Bar next door, very large selection to choose from on thier menu, but also try the cannon balls, yum! Enjoy a stroll next to the river while shopping on main street. Fun day!
Amber F — Google review
Always a great place to take the kids. From very new arcade games alllllll the way to the early years of arcade! Super nostalgic and they do a wonderful job of keeping it that way as well as keeping the cost low. Most games are $.25. The newer ones are $1. There are the old original museum playable ones as well for $.05 - $.10!!! 9 different buildings with a wide variety of arcade.
Michael D — Google review
I’ve been visiting the Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs quite often since I was a kid, and I’ve always enjoyed the eclectic collection of coin operated games and machines available! A recent change in ownership has lead to an overall tidier appearance of the areas the machines are in and several older machines have been serviced, brought out of storage, and swapped with other games. While it is disappointing to see many games out of order, I understand that keeping these machines running well as they are supposed to is no easy task. I hope that with the new ownership some of the other worse for wear games get the love and attention they deserve and whatever new games that are added are interesting, entertaining, and do as well as the majority of what is there. Hopefully the changes are small and good! This place is dear to my heart and I’m glad it’s sticking around even under new ownership!
Josh C — Google review
Great concept but like a third of the machines were either out of order and multiple machines took our money. It is a great concept though. The games that did work were great. We may have just gone on a bad weekend.
Paige C — Google review
From an adult's viewpoint, the Penny Arcade is a fun, nostalgic place to spend an hour or two but I might have expected it to be better maintained. A lot of the games were out of order. Some were marked as out of order, but we lost money on several others that were not marked. I read the company is under new ownership and hope they will raise their standards before the place gets any worse. Just to clarify, the name "Penny Arcade" has some historical origin, but don't expect to find games that you can play for a penny. Most appeared to be 25 or 50 cents. Still a good deal, but manage your expectations. There are a lot of small shops and restaurants nearby. A walk around town is worthwhile.
Margaret O — Google review
Super fun place for kids. A lot of older games which were fun to play. Quarter machines were available throughout the area. Games gave tickets that could be redeemed for prizes. There were several rooms filled with games, they are all pretty close making the areas kinda tight. I recommend bringing water.

Let me start by saying the staff was so amazing! This place is great for any family adventure. Such interesting history and stories behind it. Any questions you have will be answered and they offer papers to show you the right way to go and lots of details. The gift shop was awesome offering things from sweets to jewelry. Stepping into the Queen's Parlour Tea Room at Miramont Castle felt like opening a page from a Victorian fairytale. Sharing high tea with my favorite girls was more than just a meal. It was a memory steeped in nostalgia, joy, and elegance. The four-course experience with its tender scones, savory bites, and a shareable duo of tea flavors, was a delicious journey through time. The final touch, a delightful tea dessert, was the perfect sweet ending to a soulful afternoon. A special nod to the staff, whose warm hospitality and storytelling brought the castle's 130 year legacy to life. Their passion and grace made every detail feel like part of a living history, where every tale and smile echoed the timeless charm of Miramont. The ambiance itself, what a treasure. Went yesterday with my daughter husband and it exceeded our expectations! If you want to feel welcomed and have divine teas and delicious food look no further! Our server was delightful and witty and took such good care of everyone in the room. After the tea, tour the castle and talk to Kelly (aka the Duchess in the dungeon) and listen to her stories, she was AMAZING!! If your between having tea here or The Brown Palace where you pay twice the amount, go HERE! So happy we did!

This is an amazing self guided tour of a beautiful castle that has had a storied past. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable of the past uses of this building and prior to the tour beginning you are given a short history. The entrance fee is $15 and worth every penny. There are lots of stairs inside so be ready for some walking.

A historic glimpse into the past. This castle is a beautiful masterpiece. I can say the ghosts are real as I had a wicked never felt before experience in the new military room. The teddy bears left for the children are heartbreaking but a nice tribute to remember them. Would glady go tour this castle again.

This review is about the Miramont high tea, not the museum. Wonderful experience! The tea room is well decorated, and the space is well utilized, with enough space to keep the conversations at different tables private. The food comes in several stages, all original, high quality, and tasty. You can choose two different teas—two teapots per person. You can add a cocktail for an additional charge. Friendly and professional service. You can also have some fun wearing one of the hats provided by the establishment. Reservations highly recommended.

We had an amazing high tea experience at the Queen's tea room today! The service was impeccable. The food was all delicious and my niece who is 10, enjoyed every bit of it and she felt very special and very celebrated. We did the tour of miramont Castle afterward and I'm so glad we did some fun and interesting history tidbits and a lot of very cool local history artifacts that you could get up close to, which was very rewarding. Because it's an old building, there's some uneven floors so that's the only thing to be aware of, but it is not anything that should prevent you from stopping by. Time and age does strange things to buildings.

Located in Colorado Springs, the Ghost Town Museum offers a glimpse into the early pioneer life and gold prospecting era of the mid-1800s. Visitors can explore historic structures, authentic stagecoaches, and thousands of artifacts that depict Colorado's Wild West history. The museum provides interactive activities for kids such as gold panning and trying out old-fashioned tools like butter churns and printing presses. It aims to preserve the state's rich history by bringing an old ghost town to life through its exhibits.
I took my family here who were visiting from out of town and we had a blast! It wasn't too expensive to get in and the staff working here are really nice and friendly. There are a lot of cool things to look at and interact with but make sure you bring quarters because a lot of the cute little machines require quarters to be used. It's a real blast to the past getting to see all the displays, they even have gold banning and an informational show playing. We had little ones with us so we didn't see too much of the show but from what I did see it is really good and interesting. I recommend this place to families looking for something fun to do in the springs! (Note: I didn't share all my pictures because I don't want to spoil the fun, you'll have to come by and see for yourself)

Very educational too. We panned for gold and found some nuggets that you can keep. The lady's in the gift shop were very friendly and awesome as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place is wonderful for both adults and kids. The kids will love the old stuff... The adults will want to learn more about it! It has a plethora of interesting things - blacksmithing materials from the late 1800's, early 1900s, the first washing machines, carriages, pharmacy, etc. It's too much to name. Just an immense amount of things from the late 1800s to early 1900s and it's all fascinating. Plus panning for gold outside and a really cool gift shop area.

This was some of the worst customer service we’ve had in Colorado so far. I looked this up before we went. I seen they closed at 5 and that it took around 30 to 45 minutes to go through so we stopped in. We were greeted by an older lady with short hair with an attitude. As we walked in the door at 3:50 she said are you here to go through the museum? We close at 5. Then huffed and puffed and acted as if we were killing her by being there and reluctantly sold us the tickets. We went in anyway, refusing to let her ruin it. Only to run into her at the bathroom with the same attitude. It’s 4:30 and we close at 5. We exited the museum and started shopping for souvenirs as she stared at us the whole time, when another gentleman walked in. He was greeted with an even worse attitude as she told him he could come back during normal business hours and that they’d be happy he was there while smirking and huffing. We then laid our stuff down we had planned to buy and walked out of the door as she followed and locked the door at 4:45 behind us. We get it, you close at 5 but there is a professional way to tell people without the attitude that says we don’t want you here. You shouldn’t be working in a museum if you don’t like tourists. As for the museum, it’s ok. A little overpriced. Would have been a lot better with informative staff that was happy to be there and genuinely interested in telling people about it.

This was a fun way to spend an hour! If you have kids with you who want to run through it, they'll likely be bored quickly. But if you stop, look in each building, and take time to appreciate what's been preserved, and are willing to have a little fun, it's a good time. For the cost, it's well worth the hour or so. The gift shop is fun to walk around and has touristy souvenirs even if you don't go through the museum. Bonus tip: Bring quarters. Much of the interactive stuff costs quarters to participate.
Sharan K — Google review
This is a really fun museum. They let you touch some of the stuff and they have real working old self playing pianos. You can gold pan and play old arcade type games. It's definetly fun for kids and worth the price of admission

Took our family for a visit and every single one of us had a blast!! From 2 to 46 years okd…we were enthralled and entertained from start to finish!! Lot of hands-on sights and pieces of history. The gift shop was loaded with nostalgic items, a little bit of something for everyone!

Nestled in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, Glen Eyrie Castle is a stunning hotel housed within an 1871 castle that offers guests a unique blend of history and luxury. With its picturesque mountain views and access to scenic trails, this enchanting destination provides complimentary breakfast to start your day off right. The castle boasts an impressive 18,000 square feet of event space, including a magnificent Great Hall adorned with oak paneling and a grand limestone fireplace.
We were in Colorado Springs earlier this summer and saw the sign for Glen Eyrie Castle, we decided to check it out . We asked the guard at the gate if we could enter just to see the grounds, he was very friendly, we were able to drive around and even go in the castle. It was so beautiful we decided to come back in the fall. We booked a room in the castle, it was the generals room. It was so beautiful and rich in history. There was no television, and the Wi-Fi was spotty, perfect! All the more reason to celebrate just being still, and enjoying the moment . The grounds are beautiful, and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife, bighorn, sheep, wild turkeys, and even heard a great horned owl outside of our window. The breakfast is complementary and was delicious, there were plenty of options. The staff was very informative and friendly as well. There are eight hiking trails and we enjoyed spending time hiking through the rock outcroppings. It was so peaceful and serene. I think we saw one or two people on the trail. We will definitely be back!

First and foremost, it's a Christian retreat. So if you're looking for that, they have you covered. Now that we have that out of the way... My wonderful lady booked us for a night without knowing it was a Christian retreat, she was interested in the historical aspects of the castle. So first and foremost, there is no alcohol on the premises and is forbidden on site. Second, there are no TVs in the rooms. Third, there is no AC on any rooms in the castle below the third floor, and we stayed on the second floor. There was a makeshift ac which was basically a very loud fan that requires the windows to be open to work and can't be set below 70 degrees (you'll never see it as cool as 70 degrees, our room stayed pretty warm all night until about 5 am when we finally got a couple of hours of sleep). The grounds are beautiful and the staff were all very friendly, it's a gaurded entrance so that is a plus. Dinner was $30 a person, which was a steep price given the fact it's a buffet style and get a choice of two proteins and two greens and one starch. The castle itself is really cool, there's some nice sitting areas when they're not closed off, and this time of year is perfect if you want to go and just sit outside and read a book. and I can't say enough good things about the staff.

Note that my review for the Glen Eyrie afternoon tea is separate. This review is specifically for the Glen Eyrie castle, grounds and hiking trails. The castle is cute, not quite the grand ones you see in Europe but might say it’s grand for its (only) kind in Colorado Springs! The drive up to the grounds is scenic. There’s a guard post where you get confirmed for your visit and then are given a day pass to enter the grounds, enjoy the different sites and trek the trails. There is a carriage house to the side of the castle where you have a gift shop and receptionists that give you a map of the grounds and hiking trails. You even sign a waiver before you hike! Went in the canyon rock trail which was rated a moderate trail to hike but highly recommend it if it’s the only one you choose to go on for the day. It’s about a mile up and the views are the best. There are steel wooden slat benches along the way although the modern touch takes away from the ruggedness of the scenery. Wish they were just plain wooden benches! There were a couple of trails that weren’t depicted accurately on the trail map e.g. where one just ended up as a dead end. Overall worth the reservation for afternoon tea to be able to spend time in the grounds and hike the trails. The beauty of it all includes the wild animals that you see on the property like pheasants and mountain goats that just roam. Highly recommended destination!

My husband and I stayed 3 days and 2 nights. It was so beautiful and really reminded us why Colorado will always be home, despite living in the desert for the last decade. The breakfast was good, the staff was so friendly and helpful, the views are amazing, the rose garden looked and smelled amazing! I really can't recommend it enough.

Been there on a tour. It left a lot to be desired. We spent a lot of time watching the TV and making a short walk to the castle, and the castle itself is a subpar experience. We only saw 4 rooms in total, all crowded except for the den. The renovation is still ongoing despite the fact that their website states that it’s was going to end in August, so two stories are closed for visiting completely. Most of the remaining part you have to imagine because the rooms are occupied. Though the surroundings are beautiful, I would not recommend going on this tour. For the same price, you can visit the beautiful Miramont Castle in Manitou Springs and have a completely different experience there.

We love to tour historical homes and this one was beautiful. I think we enjoyed the grounds surrounding the the castle as much as we did the castle tour. We also found a trail that we hiked that led to some beautiful views. Be sure to purchase tickets ahead as tours fill up fast.

What a beautiful, historic estate. I was researching places to take photos for my daughter's quincenera and found Glen Eyrie. It was absolutely perfect. The small fee was worth access to the outside areas. I just wish we had more time to explore the whole grounds!

The Flying W Ranch Chuckwagon Suppers and Original Western Stage Show in Colorado Springs offers a taste of the Old West with its chuckwagon dinners and lively western stage performances by the Flying W Wranglers. In addition to these main attractions, visitors can enjoy Native American Dancing exhibitions, cattle roping demonstrations, horseback riding, hiking trails, axe-throwing competitions, horseshoeing demonstrations, and rides on the Russell M. Wolfe Narrow Gauge Railroad.
Our family had the best time at Flying W Ranch! I definitely recommend getting there early, there’s so much to enjoy! Cast iron campfire cornbread, so many animals, a carriage ride, train ride, short hike with spectacular views, see the original recipe library and a fun store. The food was served fast and was so delicious, and there was plenty for seconds. The staff is all so helpful, joyful and kept the kids and me laughing. To top it all off, the band was spectacular- entertaining family friendly jokes, incredible instrumentation and 5 part harmonies. Excited to make this part of our usual vacation fair whenever we’re out in Colorado!

Absolutely loved our perfect evening at the Flying W Ranch. We enjoyed all the activities they have before sitting down for dinner. The food was delicious. The show was really good! We just recently moved to CO. This was a great welcome to CO! Tickets are a bit expensive. But I felt like it was totally worth it.

What a great time! Highly recommend experiencing this beautiful place. They were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Great food and atmosphere. The Flying W Wranglers are a must see. Wow!! Such beautiful voices and true to the old west. Loved every minute. Hoping to visit at Christmas time!

Absolutely fantastic venue for an outdoor event with all of our colleagues! We appreciate that they had traditional bull riding and wrangling. All the staff here were friendly and accommodating. It was amazing how they were able to serve about 500 people in less than 20 minutes. Our food was fantastic, the beef brisket was smoked to perfection and the baked beans were awesome. We loved the traditional live western music with the flying W band and we were able to do some line dancing and country music after the western music show..

We went to our first show this evening. Let me just say...amazing! Our family had such a wonderful time and it was well worth the price. The property is absolutely beautiful and the activities are very enjoyable. It is definitely family friendly. It was refreshing to see them portray God, family and country. Food was great and they got everyone through the line quickly. The entertainment was on point! Classic western music...we will definitely be coming back for the Christmas show. Thank you all for the wonderful experience **the only minor issue I had was the young lady who was doing the checkout at the merchandise counter was not very friendly and just came across like she had an attitude or didnt want to be there (maybe she was having a bad day)..BUT still is well deserving of 5 stars**

I have lived in the Springs for 8 years and had never been here but my family was visiting from Minnesota so decided to bring them here on the last night of the trip. Amazing. The facilities, the animals, the music, the food, the efficiency, the kindness/friendliness of all the staff and musicians. Really one of the most wholesome, beautiful experiences you could have with your family. Worth every penny.

During our Colorado road trip, we decided to check out the Flying W Ranch experience and was delighted. It's a beautiful facility, very well spread out and at times breathtaking. (Also this is a round two for the ranch as they have recovered from a fire that destroyed the property a decade ago). The staff were very helpful and fun, there were plenty of activities for both kids and adults. The wagon ride and hike were my favorites, while my kids enjoyed petting all the animals (FYI, the hike up to the top of the rocks is definitely a decent challenge). The dinner was amazing, especially the applesauce and beans, I was stuffed. And the musical show was absolutely amazing! Beautiful music, and a lot of fun too. My kids laughed at all the jokes while my wife and I marveled at the beautiful five-part harmonies. We are so glad we came. (One suggestion; more water refills please during dinner. It's a very thirsty meal and not easy to get up for more. No biggie, otherwise it was perfect). Highly recommended.

I have so many great things to say I'd end up writing a novel about the experience that my whole family had. From being picked by Adam to ring the dinner bell, the delicious meal they served, and 5 of the best darn Cowboys who can make some of the best music together...it's all just jaw dropping. By the time dinner started, I could throw an axe and actually stick it in the wood and my two boys could shoot bullseye with the bow and arrows. They have emu's , big horn sheep, and other animals to check out, and to top it off, a nice little train ride for the whole family to enjoy. The whole experience is extremely well organized, and let me tell you they've had plenty of experience (since 1947) to make sure everything is fantastic. This ranch is very well kept, the staff are beyond friendly and willing to go the extra mile if you need something. I'm sure I left so much out of this review, but I can guarantee this...If you attend one of the dinners you will have a great time. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone and everyone. If you really wanna have more fun..dress up like a cowboy..we did!!!

Mountain Shadows Restaurant is a cozy converted house in Old Colorado City, offering down-home breakfast and lunch dishes, with early dinner available on Thursdays through Sundays. The restaurant has a homey atmosphere and is known for its huge portions of comfort food made with entirely homemade ingredients. Featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, it's a perfect stop during a morning trip to Old Colorado City or Manitou Springs.
First time at the restaurant, classic breakfast place. Coffee was strong and good. Service was good for as busy as it was, could have used a refill at least once on the coffee. Breakfast burrito was very good, big portions. Pancakes were light, fluffy, and done very well. Worth a stop.

Excellent food and the service was outstanding. We were a group of four for lunch and arrived around one. The restaurant closes at 2. We did not feel rushed or that we were getting the left overs. Everything was served hot and fresh. The wait staff were friendly and awesome. We will be back again with other friends.

I will start by saying I’m a little biased being from the south, but I got excited when I read they were voted “Best biscuits and gravy” back in 2015. I don’t know what has changed since then but it was far from the best. The biscuits themselves were really good, but they use sausage balls made for pizza and all they do is drop some handful of these sausage ball/chunks into white gravy… the sausage was chewy and tasted boiled when it should have been fried separately and added in. Super super disappointing and I have to believe it’s because it’s a cost thing and it’s cheaper to get these premanufactured sausage balls. The rest of the food was quality and I’d probably go back again but just wouldn’t order Biscuits and gravy again.

One of our go to spots. Cinnamon rolls are so delicious but, you better get there early before they are gone. Chicken fried steak and eggs is no disappointment either (my go to). Country biscuit is real good as well, matter of fact, I heard it being ordered like 4 times when we were there. Roast beef sandwich is so delicious, my wife is a picky eater and she loves it. BLT turkey wrap with fries is delicious as well. Just remember, this food is cooked to order so have patients.

We just had the best breakfast at this eclectic, little spot. Visiting from the true south and their country fried steak, biscuits and gravy slapped! I asked for extra crispy steak and the kitchen delivered. Sarah was the delightfully hilarious steward of food and laughs that truly made our dining experience one of the best. “…these people all look like aliens.” Go here, ask for Sarah…tip her 100%

We loved the view of the mountains as we sat outside got a late breakfast. Staff is so nice and accommodating, the food was fantastic and plentiful! Every aspect was so good. The giant cinnamon roll (we had a half order for two diners and it’s plenty), the huevos rancheros and a traditional breakfast. Juice tasted fresh squeezed, coffee was good. The strawberry jam was homemade, as everything is there, and just delicious. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on the patio with my uncle who's a regular. His go to is the corned beef omelet. I enjoyed the green chili omelet & the kid got the breakfast burrito (pictured). Everything was so good! Service was great also. The patio was a great spot to enjoy a beautiful morning. We got there about 8 with no wait & by the time we left there was a line.

As seen on the show this is the home of the giant cinnamon roll. We got there a bit late for it though. But the Waitress was able to offer a double bowl of cinnamon bites. I had the roast beef sandwich w aju. I have never had roast beef this juicy. The aju was SUPER tasty, and when paired with the sammich it. Was. Amazing! Our Waitress Sara was awesome and had a special Minnie mouse pancake made for our daughter.

Crystal Park Cantina is a family-owned Mexican restaurant with two locations, offering a relaxed atmosphere and a spacious terrace for outdoor dining. The menu features traditional Mexican dishes like guacamole, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and queso fundido made with fresh ingredients. It's a hidden gem in Manitou Springs, perfect for refueling after exploring nearby attractions like Garden of the Gods Park.
The food and service were great. The front host picked us an amazing spot outside for us 2 to eat at. Our server was attentive and helpful. They had nice spots inside to sit at that we would have been happy to try. So glad we chose this place to have lunch. Found a parking spot right in front of their outside patio. We saw plenty of others having a great time and enjoying their food. Would highly recommend, and can’t wait to visit again the next time we’re in town.

I came here expecting the usual Mexican cantina food, but was absolutely blown away by this restaurant. The steak on my steak tacos was savory and the spread was very nice. The biggest takeaway was their tortilla chips though. I had to buy a bag it was so good. You don’t get clean tortilla chips that have this texture and is not saturated with salt like most grocery tortilla chips. 5/5.

Margaritas were delicious and the food was fantastic! We have been multiple times and every time is wonderful. Staff is friendly and service is efficient. Queso was the perfect texture, not too runny. I had a burrito as a bowl with the Verde and Roja sauces, it was so delicious. My husband had the portobello enchiladas and what he described the "best rice ever". My son had the kids tacos and was very happy. We can't wait to go back. Pro tip: get tajin on your margarita rim

Excellent food and service. The salsa was a great as was all the other dishes. Great vibe inside as it reminds me of a rustic cantina. They also have outdoor seating and great margaritas too

The best Huevos Rancheros in the Springs is served here. Not traditional Mexican, but plenty of tasty options. The queso fundido is absolutely worth the wait time to dip into that goldmine of a cheese dip. Not as friendly for GF, vegetarians, and vegans. Always packed, be prepared to wait as you cannot make a reservation. Service is and efficient. Decent amount of seating inside and out.

I drove the 7 hours from Durango looking forward to a delicious entree of chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. However when I arrived at 5:10 on a Friday the place was packed. I had to wait and chose to do so. As I waited the line grew longer and the wait for those after me grew longer as well. Shanna, our hostess, handled it well. The place is popular and people show up. While she seemed somewhat stressed she nonetheless tended to us, kept us informed and brought us to tables as they became available. Norah, the dining room server, on the other hand never seemed stressed at all. She went from table to table with a pleasant smile and welcoming presence. Though busy, dinner was excellent and well worth the wait.

Perched within the stunning Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, Grand View is a culinary treasure that has recently undergone an impressive renovation. This elegant restaurant boasts a spacious dining area, a chic bar, and a modern terrace complete with cozy fire pits that provide breathtaking views of Pikes Peak and the striking red rock formations. The revamped menu features delectable dinner options such as seared salmon paired with crab fried rice and spring peas, alongside mouthwatering diver scallops served with creamed corn and flavorful sauces.
Wonderful! I made the reservation to celebrate my anniversary and the team took into account everything I wrote in my requirements. As soon as we entered the hotel, the doorman opened the door for us and very kindly told us where to go. The entire team was incredible from the beginning to the end of the evening. They congratulated us for our anniversary and were very attentive. The atmosphere is magical. They gave us the option of choosing our table between the inside or outside of the restaurant. We chose the outside and it was the best thing we could do. The view made you fall in love. As for the food, the price and the portions were excellent, you were satisfied. And the dessert! We recommend the profiteroles, you have to try them! Grand View made our anniversary an unforgettable experience and we are very grateful.

I dined at Grand View at the Garden of the Gods Resort today and it was nothing short of a 5-star experience—exactly what I needed after an incredibly stressful week. Dining solo, I was looking for a place to unwind, and Grand View delivered in every way possible. The moment I walked in, the ambiance struck me—elegant yet warm, with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the jaw-dropping red rock formations of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak in the distance. It’s the kind of view that instantly melts tension away, and I felt myself start to relax even before I sat down. My server, Peter, was an absolute gem. He greeted me with genuine warmth, clearly picking up on my need for a calm evening, and his attentiveness throughout the meal was spot-on without ever feeling intrusive. The wedge salad was a crisp, refreshing masterpiece: perfectly chilled iceberg lettuce, smoky bacon, juicy baby heirloom tomatoes, and a generous crumble of gorgonzola, all tied together with a creamy blue cheese dressing that had just the right tang. It was simple yet elevated, the kind of dish that sets the tone for something special to come. And the ribeye? Pure perfection. Cooked to a flawless medium-well as I’d requested, it arrived with a beautifully seared crust and a tender, juicy interior that practically melted in my mouth. The herb crust added a subtle, savory depth, and at 16 ounces, it was substantial enough to feel indulgent—exactly the treat I deserved after the week I’d had. Peter checked in just enough to ensure everything was to my liking, even suggesting a glass of red wine that complemented the steak impeccably. The service, the food, the view—it all came together seamlessly. By the time I finished, I felt recharged, like the weight of the week had lifted. Grand View isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience, and with Peter as my server, it was one I’ll remember fondly. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re in Colorado Springs, do yourself a favor and go—especially after a tough week. You won’t regret it. Five stars, hands down.

Terrible experience. Came here for brunch on a Sunday when there was hardly any tables. I got eggs Benedict and my husband got French toast and so did my daughter. Thankfully theirs was great but mine was terrible. First time it came out the eggs were completely cooked through and hard. You could tell immediately how overcooked it was, and the hollandaise had turned to rubber, most likely from sitting under a warmer. I told the waitress who only replaced the eggs and sauce, so while waiting the rest of my food got ice cold. She brought out the eggs and they were raw. It was disgusting, and the cup she brought it out in was filled with water from the pot they cooked it in. It was $21 and they managed to mess it up twice. Our waitress was also barely around as I had to wait over 5 minutes to find someone, so my food continued to get cold. I just sent it back, the waitress couldn’t care less, and just a terrible experience for a place that’s pricey like this.

Best view in Colorado Springs. Food quality has dramatically improved since the first time I visited. Their Caesar salad with salmon is a go to for lunch, and the crab fried rice side for dinner is awesome. The live music is amazing, that guitarist on rotation is so talented. Ps, please use day old rice, the flavor is epic, but a little clumpy! Also, bring back the crab soup!!

My wife and I recently came from out of town to stay at the resort and enjoy our 25th wedding anniversary. The grounds were as advertised. The room had all the amenities with the space fit for a king and queen. As we arrived live music was playing at the patio bar (play list suggestion Digable Planets) But I digress… The whole weekend was topped with the pleasure of meeting Armando C. on Sunday morning during the sunrise and he took our photos without us even asking. A true photographer who happened to be our waiter at the Grand View restaurant for breakfast. He was truly amazing. Very knowledgeable about the entire dining experience and the industry. Spoke very highly of the resort and the surrounding area and recommended great scenic views and attractions. His exceptional hospitality was a highlight of our stay. My wife and I have made a new friend. Thank you and your whole team for hosting us this weekend. God in your hearts and peace in your thoughts & dreams. Ohhh and the Monte Cristo sandwich was top tier!!!!!!

Brought out of town guests to dinner for the view. The view did not disappoint! But when the food arrived, I was actually embarrassed. We are members at Flying Horse and had dinner there the night before. Also amazing views and good food so expected the same. There is no comparison. Two of us ordered the trout. There were maybe 4 edible bites as it was mainly limp soggy skin and a head with a piece of frisee. I noticed the Salmon was barely eaten as well. We have been here for lunch and enjoyed the menu, but dinner really did not impress.
Kelly S — Google review
I have eaten at the resort many times and it is always hit or miss. This past Saturday was one of the worst. Steak that was overcooked, fish entrees that were cold and bland. The trout presentation was dreadful. What topped if off was that we all left hungry. Service was mediocre and he needed basic training for a high end restaurant; stacking dirty plates in front of a guests place setting, etc. What a shame Marigolds will be are go to place going forward and less expensive.

View is unmatched and food was as expected. Our server was less than impressive. He did not know a lot of the questions we asked about the menu, but we actually had to go ask him to ask someone instead of him offering to find out. There were a couple other minor things when it came to our server. Overall, the service did not match the ambiance.

The restaurant's specialty lies in its heated pots of cheese, chocolate, or broth for dipping and cooking. In addition to the mouthwatering fondue options, they also serve fresh salads, an array of impressive entree courses, and visually appealing desserts.
The Melting Pot is located in the lower level of the Colorado State Government Building in downtown. The restaurant is accessible by elevator, with clear signage indicating so. We arrived just three minutes early and received a notification that our table was ready. As we descended the stairs, we were warmly greeted at the front desk. The check-in process was efficient—less than two minutes—and the staff was friendly and easy to engage with. They confirmed our date night package, and we were promptly escorted to our table. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic, perfect for a date night. We were seated in a private booth, and our server, Alex, immediately made us feel welcome. She brought an element of charm to the evening, guiding us through The Melting Pot experience with grace and enthusiasm. Her explanations were clear and engaging, making it easy to understand the menu and flow of the meal. Alex made thoughtful drink recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. After discussing my allergy requirements, she provided suitable substitutions and ensured everything was handled safely. Despite serving other tables, she made us feel like her top priority, delivering attentive service throughout the night. Alex was a standout—her service alone would bring us back. The food was excellent. We followed the recommended cooking times provided by the restaurant's app, which enhanced the experience. We enjoyed a three-course meal, and if you have the option, the seafood selections are a must-try. For dessert, we received a beautifully presented white chocolate “date night” plate, complete with dipping items and a complimentary glass of champagne an elegant touch. Our dining experience lasted nearly two hours, and every moment was enjoyable. It was fun experimenting with different sauces and combinations, and the vegetables in the cooking stock were delicious. Alex ensured each course was perfectly timed and that we had everything we needed. We did choose to upgrade our package when making the reservation, and it was absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be returning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My daughter and I had the most incredible daddy-daughter dinner date at The Melting Pot! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cozy, elegant, and perfect for a special evening. The entire experience felt personal and memorable. A huge shoutout to our server, Luke, who truly made the night unforgettable. He was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. He explained everything clearly, made great recommendations, and added such a fun and welcoming energy to our table. The food was absolutely delicious — every course was a treat, from the cheese fondue to the perfectly cooked entrées and the decadent chocolate dessert. My daughter loved every moment, and it’s a memory we’ll both cherish for a long time. Thank you to Luke and the entire team for making our daddy-daughter night so special. We can’t wait to come back again!

A truly wonderful experience. We got the Anniversary special which was an upgraded four course experience from their regular menu offering. Food was awesome. Our server, Luke, did an amazing job.

So much fun to eat at this restaurant. The food just keeps coming. Remember, when cooking anything, use a shorter time than you think. The waiter was friendly and so informative. One can come here for just dessert. The prices are not too expensive. It a great birthday gift. Or bring out of town guests. We'll go back for sure.
