This is a must see. Absolutely breathtaking and not from the elevation. Nice walking trails and beautiful natural formations. Not a lot of traffic early morning/late October. A little chilly in the shade but that sun will warm you right up. Dog friendly and simple fun.

The best place I’ve ever been. I love everything about it. It’s definitely a unique spot you have to visit. The area is quiet, picturesque, and full of wildlife. You can hike for hours — just watch out for horse droppings!

Beautiful drive with lots of stops along the route. Plenty of opportunity for hiking and seeing wildlife. There is no cost but you can donate to help with the preservation at the tasting post. We visited in October around 5pm, the weather and lighting were perfect.

Driving across Colorado my wife noticed this incredible spot while reading about the area on her phone. We weren't in a hurry so we decided to give it a shot. Absolutely incredible! Never heard of it before. And admission is free. Perfect concrete walkways and nicely groomed hiking trails, but some of the hiking trails are pretty challenging. Wonderful experience.

This place is amazing. You just keep saying "wow" at every turn. There's a central part that's easy to walk and has sidewalks, and if you go early and are quiet - you can spot deer and other wildlife. You may even see permitted climbers working their way up a rock face. There is a lot to see in the center loop; howeverrrrr, if you got your grippy shoes, water, and some snacks... then adventure off into any of the outer trails. They are all a "little to a lot" different from each other (terrain, elevation gain and difficulty, vegetation, etc) buttttttttttttt on any trail you take you will be meandering along when out of nowhere ROCK FORMATION!👁👄👁 The colors of the rocks are mostly red (those are sandstone that used to be dunes) and remind me of Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, but there are also beautiful quartz that look glittery in the sun, obsidian (I think) that looks like black glass, and stones/ rocks that look like someone painted them layer by layer. Sooo many different types of trees and plants. Watch out for the cacti; they're everywhere to the sides of the trails and are no joke (even though they look small). Overall, pretty easy hike on any trail - but you need good shoes or it will get slippery in some spots. Kids could do some of the trails, maybe all - just depends on your kid's endurance and balance. Just the last mile or so can be tough and that was because it was an incline with deep sand... but you can probably exit off of the trail to the main road before that and go a different way. Highly recommend.

The rocks and landscape are really unique, and you won’t regret a visit. Be sure to take the scenic drive and stop at the main overlook (P3). If you only have a few hours, you can also visit the Trading Post, Balanced Rock, and do the entire loop through the Central Garden Trail. You can add on additional trails to the main loop as well. Then, finish at the visitors center and grab a bite a the cafe (or bring you own picnic lunch). The entire park is free, but that means it can get very busy, just be patient and you can usually get a parking spot, and then enjoy taking in the natural beauty.

Such a beautiful place to both drive around and walk trails. Very dog friendly. Some of the trails are paved while others are not. If you're visiting from out of state, definitely take a day to visit here. We saw so much wildlife here from various types of birds, sheep, and deer.

Came here for my first time & I was blown away by how beautiful the scenery is here. They have a wide variety of animals & you can get pretty close to a lot of them which makes for an amazing experience. My favorite part was definitely feeding the giraffes, they are so gentle & not afraid to come right up to you for a snack. The Australian exhibit was also pretty neat because you're able to get super close to the animals. There's fun for the whole family here & also makes for an enjoyable day for adults too. My only complaint is that they close at 5, so make sure you get there early so you have time to enjoy everything the zoo has to offer!

Every year my sister and I take a trip together, we stop at one zoo per trip and we have visited some very cool zoos (KC zoo is our home zoo). This zoo was so much fun! And has some of the nicest enclosures, we were very excited about this. We LOVE seeing the animals have amazing space to live out their lives. While here the giraffe enclosure was being renovated. There was a baby gorilla. So many elephants and giraffes it was impressive. The hippos were vocal and the penguins come right up to the fence within reach.....but DO NOT touch them! The wallabys are free to roam so close the gates in their area! Loved this zoo

This place is AMAZING!! It's huge! Prepare for lots of walking and hills. Do not come here without pocket money. There are cafes and ice cream and popcorn and you can feed the giraffes so bring enough money for everyone in your group. But you can bring outside food and drinks so be smart. The animals are beautiful and look well cared for. The entire zoo was a clean environment. They even have 2 designated SMOKING AREAS!! like that was great to have a place to smoke. And there's staff everywhere so if you have questions about the animals or something else they're around to help. We had a fantastic day!!

This is a cool zoo. Easy to traverse and handicap accessible however some inclines as to be expected. Under construction during our visit but it didn’t stop us from seeing everything. Spent about 2 hours from start to finish. Love that they do dog days! So fun.

Super unique and fun zoo, friendly staff, lots to see. They are not kidding when they call this a "mountain zoo" because it's legit all uphill (bring a stroller if you have any kids under 3, because it's a ton of uphill walking and our 2.5 year old couldn't do it all). The layout is a little confusing, likely because of the zoo being on a mountain, you have to backtrack some to get to the next section, but once you figure it out, it's easy enough (use the maps to help). Despite these learning curves, we still had a great time, and our kids did too. Giving 5 stars because we didn't have any issues, just new experiences. Enjoy!!

There were a bunch of animals to see, everything was organized, staff was friendly, it was clean, the animals appeared to be well kept, and we would definitely go back. Our kids loved feeding the giraffes the most. Keep in mind they're doing construction so some of the paths are unavailable and there is ongoing construction.

The BEST zoo we have been too to date! We LOVED all the animal up close & being able to touch & feed animals. A lot of uphill but totally worth it! They have plenty of benches all over for resting if you get tired easily! Take a rain poncho, backpack, water, snacks. So cool that it is on the mountain. Loved the views. Excited for the new giraffe habitat to get finished to go back & see that! We got to see the new baby gorilla. Baby was definitely the star of the zoo, EVERYONE loved the baby. Too cute. Definitely recommend going to this zoo!

I visited today and was captivated by all the history and culture surrounding Colorado Springs. The second floor is especially impressive, and the new exhibition on Native American history is a must-see. I also loved learning about the museum’s setting in a historic courthouse—it adds so much character. The staff were kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend visiting the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum!

Beautiful and informative. Great place to learn about Colorado Springs history and see the city's historical architecture. It contains Colorado's oldest working elevator, a well preserved courtroom, and great artwork. I would easily spend over an hour here and highly recommend others to visit.

Im a Colorado native but haven't been here in a long time. Absolutely stunning interior! Great Colorado historic artifacts. Fun old elevator that still works! Cool exhibit for Women's art. Will go again!

Hands down the most stunning historical museum I've ever seen. Housed in the original courthouse, there is a completely refurbished court room, which is incredible. There is a variety of artifacts and time periods displayed. There is intentional thought to including diverse groups and images.Amazingly, the museum is free! One suggestion would be to please increase the font size on your captions. It's too difficult to read, and in some cases, way too long.

Our visit to the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum was a surprise delight! The building is incredibly beautiful, and every single exhibit was interesting and thoughtfully-crafted. We only had an hour to spend during this visit, so we will return and plan to spend much more time soaking it all in.

Very nice place to visit during some downtime. It is free to get in (just a donation which I gladly made). Learned quite a bit of history about the area. I did not expect to see Goose Gossage's Yankee helmet on display. I didn't know he was from there. Now I Do!

Fun museum, it's free but please donate to keep it running. They have a fun kid play place along with a dress up room. You can see the old court room and the grand architecture style of earlier years. A nice way to kill an hour.

Informative. Dwellings are all in a single continous structure. The expedition (self guided) is a bit lackluster for me but an educational experience nonetheless. Great gift shop with an expansive assortment of items. Mountain views are phenomenal. A few images of the shop contents are definitely not all inclusive.

We really enjoyed visiting this site. We had a few hours of free time and this was absolutely perfect. There wasn't any hiking or extreme elevation to get to the actual site, just park your vehicle and you are there. We were able to walk inside and the history of the Dwellings was well curated. The young man at the Tshirt sale area closest to the parking lot was a wealth of information on how the Dwellings were moved to preserve them in the late 1800's. It was her life's work and I am so grateful for her efforts in doing so for us to experience a bit of life for these indigenous people. If you have a little time take advantage of this exceptional experience. Beyond 5 ⭐s Dog friendly as well!!♥️

This was my 2nd visit and it's still one of my favorite places to visit. It's very close to Garden of the Gods, so it's a great place to visit same-day. They have a nice gift shop. I love that you can walk around in the ruins and that they are immaculate. It's nice to see a historic location that is immaculately clean. It's cool to imagine people living there. There is a cafe on the property, but it was not open during our visit.

A fascinating and beautifully preserved piece of Colorado history! The Manitou Cliff Dwellings offer an incredible opportunity to step back in time and experience how the ancient Ancestral Puebloans once lived. The structures are stunning up close, and being able to walk through and explore them makes it feel truly immersive. The museum is well done, with lots of interesting exhibits and artifacts that bring the history to life. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions. The gift shop has a great selection of unique Native American crafts and souvenirs. Easy to get to, family-friendly, and a perfect blend of education and adventure. A must-see stop in the Manitou Springs area — five stars all the way!

Visited the Manitou Cliff Dwellings with my child. The site is interesting for a quick look, but it’s quite small and doesn’t have much historical depth or interactive content. Kids might enjoy exploring the caves for a short while, but overall it feels a bit overpriced for what you get. Worth visiting once, but probably not something I’d go back to.

Interesting and photogenic stop near Colorado Springs. You can walk inside the reconstructed cliff dwellings and get hands-on with history, but it’s not an authentic ancient site. More educational exhibit than genuine archaeology—worth a visit if you go in with the right expectations.

This is an honest review so don't judge me after you read this. As a place to visit and learn about a cultures history and their survival I found it to be quite a yawning experience. I say this because some of the plaques that provided information about the area you were standing in didn't seem to match what was written. The museum inside had some amazing artifacts and was far more interesting than the dwellings but again this is my review and you may find it exactly opposite. Would I recommend visiting this attraction...yes...simply because you can learn about the Pueblo people and how hard life was for them. Is one visit in a lifetime good..It is for me.

This was a fun and interesting experience, and our young kids (5 and 2.5) had a good time and enjoyed the tour. Our guide was pleasant, knowledgeable, and kept things light/fun. My only complaint is that the cave itself left something to be desired, because of how long it takes for stalagmites/stalactites to grow in that specific cave, they're all pretty small and there aren't many large, expansive areas, it just seemed small. We still had a great time and I hate to complain about something they can't control, just wanted to mention it. Still worth going, especially with kids. We did the mining activity at the end, and our kids loved "panning" for gemstones, they even found a few little chunks of fools gold! Oh, and there are great views from the balcony outside the gift shop.

My family visited Cave of the Winds when I was a kid, so I thought it'd be nice to come back. It's smaller than I remember...but I've grown since then so yeah, it's not surprising. Our guide, Tracy, was an absolute joy to spend the hour with. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and I could tell he loves what he does. There were some young children (about the same age I was when I first visited) in our group and he was wonderful with them, teaching about the cave in a manner that kept them, and the adults interested. I'm glad I was able to come back and see the cave again.

It was ok. Ive been to many caves in this country. This cave was... ok. The formations werent spectacular, they had some cool ones, but overall there wasn't a whole lot. They have a lot of other activities here to keep the kids interested. Its a cool place, lots to do and see. The cave was just a little underwhelming.

We went on a haunted lantern tour of the caves with our guide Klaus & had the BEST time! The stories, guidance, humor and history lessons were top notch. Such a cool experience and an incredible way view the mountain on a different level. Highly recommend!

If you are in the area, nice toir. Guides are very knowledgable. Ours talked really fast, so some of it passed right by us...but she really knew the history! Luray Caverns is a bit cooler; but this is a nice diversion too

Great place at the top of the mountains! We spent two hours just walking around and enjoying the views. The area offers kid-friendly activities and a food court, and the gift shop has a wide selection of souvenirs.

Lots to do and see here at CotW! The cave tour is absolutely amazing, and the guide we had was excellent. Once you exit the tour you'll find plenty of other things to do. My whole family loved the powered zip line and the kids had a ton of fun on the ropes course. We were really bummed that the Terror-dactyl was down for maintenance, but that's okay, it was still a really fun experience. Views of the gorge are so great! There's even killer views from the parking lot. Really a must see if you're in the Manitou area.

Beautiful! I loved it! We did make the climb but took the elevator up to eagles nest and there was a cute shop at the top. Oh and if you see a white Hydroflask floating down the stream mine fell in. I recommend the bus ride in the driver was awesome and it runs ever 15 minutes. And it's Free! You can also take a golf cart up if needed. Great for those unable to make the walk up.

This was my favorite thing we did on our vacation to Colorado Springs. We went to the parking area around 8:30-8:45 and got right on a shuttle. The walk up to the falls after getting dropped off by the shuttle was some of the most amazing scenery I've ever experienced. We are 56 year olds who do exercise regularly and we did fine with the steps up. Once up the steps, we thoroughly enjoyed the hiking. When we came back down there were a lot more people there so we recommend going early. We did not have to wait long for a return shuttle. Highly recommend this adventure!

Our first time seeing the beauty of this place. Be prepared to walk but the walk is full of breath taking views. Once you reach the falls you'll have a 224 step climb to to the top but it is well worth it when you get to the top. This is a must see in Colorado Springs. Well worth the $23 admission. We have an amazing day and some us forgettable memories.

I visited on an early fall morning as the sun was rising. To get to the falls, you will need to park at the Penrose Event Center and take the free shuttle ride to Seven Falls due to limited parking at the Falls. It's a 0.8 mile walk on a paved path to the falls from the entrance. There are many towering rocks and streams along the way. You can view the waterfalls by climbing up 224 very steep stairs or from the eagles nest viewing platform which can be accessed from an elevator. Well worth the visit!

Worth the wait and cost to get in! It was a beautiful walk through the gorge up to the waterfall with a pretty stream and mini waterfalls off to the side of the path. You have to take a shuttle there. It takes a while to get on the shuttle and then walk up to the falls so definelty plan a decent chunk of your day if not expect it to take most of your day, this for sure isn’t a quick trip in and out!

This was my favorite place we visited on our trip to Colorado Springs! The views on the walk to the falls were stunning as well as the falls themselves. Really loved taking the elevator up and seeing the falls from a different and spectacular pov, this really is a must do if you’re ever in the area you won’t regret it!

This place was beautiful Its a lot of walking and once you go up the stairs and back down my legs were killing me. If you are scared of heights definitely dont do it. I was up 7 stairs and got supper scared and had to cling on the rail If I dared to look up or down I got really bad vertigo. The water wasn't running as good as other people's photos. Must be the time of the year. We were the first people In the park so everything was closed but the only bathrooms are 1/3 of the way in Beautiful walk up it's a little hard in the knees and once you get to the top it's beautiful

We arrived too late to do a tour but looked around the entrance area which was fun to see. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and informative. We are hoping to return before our trip ends to take the tour and see all of the facilities.

This was the second Olympic training facility we saw while on a cross country road trip in September 2024. We had a very informative tour guide that who took us around the campus showing the various training areas-weight room, swimming pool, gymnastics, shooting, etc. the tour lasted about an hour. If you are in the Colorado Springs area, be sure to visit this site.

Great experience! The tour was really interesting, and our guide was super nice and knowledgeable. It’s amazing to see where so many Olympic athletes that you’d recognize have trained! The tour is kept fairly short, and honestly, I wish it could be a bit longer—it’s that good. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Colorado Springs!

The self-guided visitor area is much smaller and less engaging than the incomparable museum a few miles away. Moreover, the "Meet the Athletes" touchscreens did not work at all. The highlight of the guided tour is seeing Olympic hopefuls train in the facility. So that said, tours held when no athletes are training would be underwhelming, essentially a walk through empty and seemingly dated facilities.

Very cool place no matter if you are really into the Olympics or not. Even if you don't take the tour of the front area of the main building Is free to roam. Lots of cool displays, info, video projections. Even a pin ball game. Big souvenir mech shop with some nice things. Will definitely be back to take the tour.

My friend and I arrived to the center at the start of a tornado warning. The center made sure everybody was safe by sheltering in place with good communication throughout, letting us know the status of the tours. Our tour guide, Bob, did a fantastic job keeping us out of the weather and showing us the ins and outs of the facilities where the Olympians train. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining and flexible. We even saw some Karate sessions! Highly recommend.

This is a great space with multiple trails from easy to more difficult. It is really close to the city yet feels far away once you move out from the parking lots. I did a loop using different trails including the one that goes through on old quarry. The views are amazing. Definitely recommend. Just remember the altitude and the fact that there is limited shade.

Great loop hike on fairly wide and established trails. If you are going clockwise and choose to take the shortcut through the middle of the rocks, there is a spot where it looks like there is a sheer rock face you have to go up - the stairs carved in the rock are behind the nearby trees on the left side. This is right after the option of taking the rock carved stairs straight up or the trail around to the left. We went on a weekend and there were lots of people walking their dogs, hiking and biking. They have really nice mountain bike only areas that help to keep them more separate from the hikers, and they have a little course at the bottom near the parking lot with hills and wooden platform jumps and ramps.

Great spot for easy hiking with beautiful red rock formations and beautiful views. While on the trails we saw people riding bikes, jogging, and lots of people walking their dogs. Trails are suitable for all ages.

Love all the many different trails this place offers!! On top of the amazing trails the views you can’t get any where else! People are super nice as well as the trails are kept nice and clean.

Absolutely Gorgeous walking space. Parking is free and easily accessible. The grade of the trail never really gets too steep and is a loop, so getting lost isn't easy. There is plenty of signage and even more scenery! Highly recommend! Bonus Activities: I haven't tried climbing here but there are some good looking routes if you're into that. There is also an off leash fenced dog pen that looks spacious. As an added bonus, there is a bike course, both mountain and BMX.

What a spot! Something here for all outdoors folks. Hiking, climbing, mountain biking. Hikes can be miles long or shorter loops. Awesome biking park and dog park. They updated the parking in recent years which is a good improvement. Awesome views of the mountains and Garden of the Gods. Also one of the few places to see water ‘round these parts.

Enjoyed these trails which offer a variety of difficulty levels, walking surfaces and scenery. Parked on Highway 24/Cimarron St. We combined the moderate (blue) trails to make a loop. Sand Canyon to Contemplative (loved this one) to Roundup to Red Rock Canyon Path. This included some steps on rock and steps cut into rock, some sandy trails, great views of the red rock and views of the distance. Loved this location and would return to try other trails here.

Absolutely amazing and super informative and educational. I thought they had such a neat system where you can scan your badge and save different facts and slideshows to your account and send them to your email. You can customize your experience depending on what sports you're interested in or just stroll throughout all the exhibits. They have a mass amount of artifacts as well as some demonstration exhibits. I like that they have different accessibility options such as sign language videos in the corner of most displays on screen. The plaques that explain the exhibits or the artifacts are a little small in type but overall very explanatory. You will definitely get a good amount of exercise walking around the multiple floors. It is wheelchair accessible. They have a very cute gift shop with very reasonable prices and not marked up like I've seen a lot of other places try to do. I also stopped by the cafe afterwards and notice they had a good assortment of different type of Cuisines to demonstrate the international aspect and the pricing seemed really good. It had great few of the train tracks next door. I don't know that small children would be as excited or intrigued since they wouldn't really know what was going on since it is a little more involved and the athletes and Exhibits that they explained span back several decades.

One of the most thoughtfully designed museums I’ve ever been inside. It is many orders of magnitude better than the “official” Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. For an Olympics/Paralympics fan, this has everything — a complete set of Olympic torches, lots of medals and photos, and interactive exhibits which measure your Olympic-related skills like running and archery. To make it more convenient, the Museum sends an email resume of how you did in each (so don’t put a false email when you begin your tour). Furthermore, this museum starts on an upper floor and winds downward in a spiral. As a visitor you have a clear path to follow to see everything without wasting effort. Museum staff are knowledgable and enthusiastic. A perfect museum, and worth a drive or a flight to visit.

This was a fantastic museum! The front desk person, Jon, made the experience so special! Would highly recommend a visit. Definitely have a volunteer or staff person explain the significance of the architectural details because they help tell the story.

This was an amazing experience. You definitely need more than two hours to go through the entire museum. The entire facility was immaculate and clean. The UCHealth hand sanitizer stations are everywhere because there are many interactive displays and exhibits. Very family and kid friendly. I will definitely come back when I have more time.

Amazing experience, well worth the stop to relive history and some of the greatest athletes. The movie is spectacular, some fun interactive exhibits. The attached flame restaurant is so-so

Amazing place to visit. Bring the kids and big kids too. Great history of the Olympics and Paraolympics, including interactive displays that teach. Anyone who is interested in the Olympics will love this museum.

This museum suffers from enormous Tech Debt. It seems relatively new, but already most of the Interactive features, primarily the audio commentary and the sports simulators, are either not functioning or poorly designed. Interactive badge for personalized experience is needlessly complicated and exclusionary of children. Why aren't kids permitted to have their own profiles? Why make them glom on to their parents profile? When parent activates an interactive display for their kid and moves more than half a step away, it cancels the in-progress session for the kid! After this happened twice we gave up on the interactive elements. The interactive kids museum in my city of San Antonio manages the interactive/profile based experience in a much better way. Without the functioning audio and frustrating interactive elements, I felt like we only got the barest minimum that could have been delivered with this experience. I wanted to see larger and more in depth exhibits about the Miracle on Ice, Jesse Owens at the Berlin Games, and maybe features on heroes of our gymnastics, swimming, and skiing programs. Show me what it is like to train, give me some multimedia about what kind of personal and financial sacrifices are made by olympians. While the exhibit and walk through design needs to be re-worked, at least the collections are impressive, like the assortment of torches, the Miracle on Ice scoreboard, and the collection of medals were very memorable. They need to simplify this experience so that it works for everyone. Less problematic interactivity, more passive multimedia. The stories, audio, and visuals are the real treasure here, don't obfuscate it behind a bunch of clunky, non-working, slooooow interactivity.

I've driven by this museum many times and finally had an opportunity to visit. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend a guided tour. All of the guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their work. The museum is easy to navigate and most importantly there are inside restrooms 🤣. We brought lunch and enjoyed the onsite picnic tables. Then we walked the grounds and saw the outside exhibits. Great way to spend an afternoon!

Very cool museum. We visit leadville every year for spring break and this was a nice add on this year! Very educational and loved the part where it seems like you’re walking through a mine! Wish the right side of the building was open, it was closed for renovations so i guess we’ll have a new part to explore next time!

Fun little exhibit with some very well done exhibits. The best parts are the activities when available. Went on a fun Saturday and they happened to have some military reenactors, food trucks, and antique car showings. A nice place to spend an hour or two for some good old fashioned fun.

10 stars! Panning for gold was so much fun. The Blacklight room showing the minerals and gemstones was the sprinkles on the sundae. The machines being started during the tour, OMG, any engineer would be over-the-moon. The gift shop was very affordable. Clean restrooms. I recommend stopping at this museum, it has a little bit of everything all in one location.

Showed up for STEM event and left a fan. This museum is not like any other mining museum i had been to. I working blacksmith and stamp mill was a pleasant touch. Flourscent Blacklight Mineral room is also a winner. Its an affordable and educational experience that is worth the value.

I really enjoyed this museum. Had a nice history of mining and old equipment used back in the day. They do briefly run some machines on the tours. The only disappointing thing was one of the tour guides was kind of a jerk to a little shy girl trying to ask a question. Should not volunteer if you can’t handle kids.

This is one of the best museums going for seeing how machines generally and old mining machines in particular worked. However, it is rigged to run on air, which makes things a bit less noisy and rambunctious. While you are waiting to see the machinery run, you can try your luck at panning and see how difficult it really was.

If you are looking for a place that is handicap accessible, I would not recommend. The seats they have reserved are extremely uncomfortable for anyone let alone, seniors. When asked if we could sit in the normal empty seats about 5 feet in front of us, we were told that it would be an extra $40 for each person, so that would be an extra $320.

The fine arts center is one of the iconic locations in Colorado Springs that has a great collection all kinds of art, especially Southwest art. I highly recommend recommended. This is a place that every Colorado Springs resident and those who are interested in art need to check out.

We love the FAC, the plays are always extremely well done, we see several a year on average. The reason I gave it a 4 star is the quality of the seats. There is a bad seat in the house except that all the seats are horribly uncomfortable. You will see people brining cushions to sit on, its that bad. I would love to see them redo the seating that would make this place perfect.

Quite a wonderful collection of art that features different exhibits from time to time. Free admission fridays (every third of the month) is a great budget friendly experience. Sarah, one of the curators, has a program for volunteers to help restore and clean statues, which makes for a great volunteering opportunity!

We come down from Denver for a visit every 3 or 4 months. Love the Southwestern art exhibit. You won't find a larger array of Spanish Colonial art, including 200 year old retablos and statues anywhere else in the West - unless you're in Santa Fe. There are always a number of rotating exhibits that are well done.

Every time I attend an event at the Fine Arts Center it is always a first-class event. The venue was setup so that you were afforded many different experiences, in addition to the ability to interact with the artists and sculpturers which was also very informative.

The Penrose Heritage Museum is an absolute must visit in Colorado Springs! It’s beautifully curated and packed with fascinating exhibits that bring local history to life. From historic carriages and vintage automobiles to the incredible story of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, every corner of the museum offers something unique and engaging. The attention to detail is impressive, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. Best of all it’s free admission, making it a perfect stop for families, history buffs, and anyone looking to learn more about the legacy of Spencer and Julie Penrose.

Definitely recommend if you enjoy automotive racing. Great displays about the pikes peak hill climb. There is a wide verity of carriages. Some of the history involving Spencer and Julie Penrose. As well as some items they had collected over the years. There are also TVs scattered around, with videos about some of the history playing. It was not very crowded when I went, so I was taking my time and moving at my own pace, took me about an hour or so to see/read everything. I am happy I decided to swing by during some down time.

Great museum with a history of carriages but especially the Pikes Peak HillClimb racing. Definitely recommend. Free parking in the Hotel garage next door for 90 min. You can do this museum in that time.

Beautifully staged museum...with two different focuses. One was the collection of the Penrose family carriages and other riding gear. Everything from big fancy full sized carriages to small donkey (or llama!) carts. All beautifully preserved and displayed. The other focus was the history of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb race... something that had been run every year (except during the world wars) for over 100 years! Displayed are cars and motorcycles that have participated in the race over the decades. There is also a really good video to watch that really takes you through race's history. Even if you are not interested in racing, there are some very interesting characters and episodes that really bring the race to life. While the museum isn't very large, you can spend several hours there...especially if you take in the video.

If you enjoy history, this is an amazing stop to add to your travel list! Because no one in my party knows how to follow directions, or listen, we did it completely out of order, and it was still amazing! Every single tour was spectacular and informative! I greatly enjoyed visiting the ranch, and that's what matters, since I'm the reason we went. Ha! Watching the Blacksmith was incredible, buying ranch made souvenirs, and seeing everything kept to period was chefs kiss! Thank you all, but especially to Della(sp) you're my hero! 💜

Rockledge Ranch is the most peaceful oasis in the city. Families can come visit the ranch at any time after hours or off season to see the farm animals and living history sites. It’s a great place for a picnic or easy walk in nature for people of all ages and abilities. During events and summer hours, the living history program offers hands-on learning opportunities so you can experience life in the late 1800s just as it was on this very same property. I often walk behind the ranch around sunset when I’m feeling down and undoubtedly leave refreshed. Rockledge Ranch is open to anyone for a variety of activities depending on the season and event schedule. Always wholesome, always family friendly, always the perfect getaway to reflect on years past.

You have the option to walk through for free or pay to be able to go into the buildings and learn about the history. They have knowledgeable staff and activities for the kids, like crafts. Made for a fun afternoon.

What a great place for a little walk on a beautiful day! There wasn't anything going on since it's still of season but, a great place to explore none the less. Folks were out having picnics on the beautiful grounds, farm critters for the kids to observe, everyone seemed to have a good time. We'll have to check it out when they're open.

A deeply beloved place, and rightfully so, considering the mix of history and rugged natural beauty that it offers to both children and adults. Though a native of Colorado Springs, I had not visited here in a while, perhaps not since I was a small child, and I was quite impressed by how accessible the historic sites are. In the summer, there are living history demonstrations that showcase with exquisite detail and much eagerness certain periods from early Colorado history. These demonstrations are a large part of what draw visitors here, but the area is still extremely charming to walk around even off-season. Many of the monoliths of Garden of the Gods are visible from here, with significantly fewer crowds. When the sun shines brightly on the meadow and the wind rasps softly through the high grass, the buildings look absolutely enchanting. There is an array of farm animals here that will please children, and anecdotally, I heard a line of children chanting "an-i-mals" as they were walking toward the sheep. I personally adored the old masonry walls still present and ruined form and thoughtfully restored, as well as the example of a beautiful Spanish revival style Edwardian estate. There's something for everyone here, and I was fortunate enough to come when they were setting up for the 4th of July, and everywhere was festooned with patriotic banners.

Beautiful, expansive place to visit. Attended with the whole family (ages 5 to 75) and we all had a blast. Easy free parking, and reasonably priced tickets for the event (an old-timely homestead tour and baseball game). Chill vibes, clean, well cared for place. Seems accessible if that’s needed, except inside the homesteads. This place is highly recommended.

What a nice way to spend the 4th of July! I really enjoyed the outfits and the history. It was so sweet watching all the little kids enjoy the 4th. I felt like that's how it should be, not just fireworks!! Good food, pie and lemonade!!

Easily the best place in Manitou. Perfect for a first date. So many things to do plenty of games great atmosphere. Would have loved to be here back when this was in its heyday. Staff is very frequently and everything is extremely cheap, which is pretty impressive considering it's location. This is a absolute must visit for anyone.

A must stop when visiting Manitou Springs. Fun for kids and adults. Stop at the Burger Bar next door, very large selection to choose from on thier menu, but also try the cannon balls, yum! Enjoy a stroll next to the river while shopping on main street. Fun day!

Very fun and large retro arcade that included carnival games as well, they had some games that were 100 years old! The horse race was my favorite. It would be cool if they placed all the games that were super old or out of order in their own little building with informational materials so you could learn more of their history while at the same time it would keep the other buildings a little less crowded. This is a must stop attraction when you are in Manitou Springs!

Always a great place to take the kids. From very new arcade games alllllll the way to the early years of arcade! Super nostalgic and they do a wonderful job of keeping it that way as well as keeping the cost low. Most games are $.25. The newer ones are $1. There are the old original museum playable ones as well for $.05 - $.10!!! 9 different buildings with a wide variety of arcade.

I’ve been visiting the Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs quite often since I was a kid, and I’ve always enjoyed the eclectic collection of coin operated games and machines available! A recent change in ownership has lead to an overall tidier appearance of the areas the machines are in and several older machines have been serviced, brought out of storage, and swapped with other games. While it is disappointing to see many games out of order, I understand that keeping these machines running well as they are supposed to is no easy task. I hope that with the new ownership some of the other worse for wear games get the love and attention they deserve and whatever new games that are added are interesting, entertaining, and do as well as the majority of what is there. Hopefully the changes are small and good! This place is dear to my heart and I’m glad it’s sticking around even under new ownership!

Great concept but like a third of the machines were either out of order and multiple machines took our money. It is a great concept though. The games that did work were great. We may have just gone on a bad weekend.

From an adult's viewpoint, the Penny Arcade is a fun, nostalgic place to spend an hour or two but I might have expected it to be better maintained. A lot of the games were out of order. Some were marked as out of order, but we lost money on several others that were not marked. I read the company is under new ownership and hope they will raise their standards before the place gets any worse. Just to clarify, the name "Penny Arcade" has some historical origin, but don't expect to find games that you can play for a penny. Most appeared to be 25 or 50 cents. Still a good deal, but manage your expectations. There are a lot of small shops and restaurants nearby. A walk around town is worthwhile.

This was my first time going and it was very delightful. The employees at the front desk were polite, kind, and very nice. We chatted up a storm with them. They have general admission for 19$ per adult and 17$ per adult with a veterans discount. They have a free guided tour for the Westpac restoration. 100% recommend. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and tells the history so well he was such a delight. They also have the paid FULL guided tour. If you’re a history buff or like anything related to World War II I 100% recommend!!!!!!!!(coming from someone who doesn’t like history)

Amazing collection of WWII aircraft. Very well curated and interesting for all ages. Interesting to see the restoration shop working on the planes, Mark was an excellent tour guide. The kids really enjoyed the flight simulator. Scooter was provided for Grandpa. All of the volunteers were very kind and informative. I would recommend going online to checkout their schedule of flights as the entire collection is airworthy!

This museum was everything and more than I could have asked for. There is a lot of excellent information about WWII, the battles and the people who played a pivotal part in them, but the best part for me was the aircraft. The airplanes were amazing. All of them totally refurbished and in flying condition. My dad flew in WWII and told me about many of these planes. Seeing them in the museum made me feel like my dad was there with me. I will return to this amazing place and see what else they have brought back to life. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I came from Taiwan, I am truly filled with deep emotion and reflection here. I want to thank the U.S. Air Force for all the help they have provided to my compatriots, both in the past and up to the present. Thank you to the Flying Tigers, thank you to all the American soldiers who sacrificed their lives on the Asian battlefields, and thank you to all the selfless Americans. Thank you for the assistance the U.S. provided to Asian countries during World War II, and thank you to the volunteer docent, Mr. Roh, for his detailed explanation. Many of the things I saw at the museum brought tears to my eyes. Some I had seen before in textbooks, and some were entirely new to me. I immediately took photos and shared them to my friends. All Chinese-speaking people are aware of this history and are very familiar with it. My friends all chimed in, excitedly adding details and expressing their gratitude for me sharing today's experience I do not live in Colorado; this is my first time visiting, and it may very well be my last. However, I believe that in the future, other Chinese speakers will come here to express similar sentiments to mine.

We visited the museum as a family. There was so much information! The displays were engaging and interesting. My kids enjoyed looking at all the planes and artifacts. We enjoyed Matt (our docent for the Westpac tour) and all the stories and information he had to share. He was knowledgeable and interesting. We spent about 3 hours and I easily could have stayed longer if plans and kids would have allowed. We happened to be in town on a day they flew some of the planes which was really cool to see.

We really enjoyed this museum! We were there for 2hrs right until closing, but wish we would have had more time to look around. We did the guided tour through Westpac with Matt and learned about their restoration process and a lot of history about the planes. There’s a flight simulator which was entertaining to watch people do. All members and staff were incredibly nice and knowledgeable. It’s so cool that all the planes have been restored to flying condition!

A beautiful and thoroughly well-designed museum. All the planes on display were absolutely spectacular, and the many infographics were insightful and enjoyable to read. They also have a tour of the hangar where they show you in-progress plane restorations, and explain the processes they use which was quite fascinating. I would totally go back given the chance.

Went yesterday with my daughter husband and it exceeded our expectations! If you want to feel welcomed and have divine teas and delicious food look no further! Our server was delightful and witty and took such good care of everyone in the room. After the tea, tour the castle and talk to Kelly (aka the Duchess in the dungeon) and listen to her stories, she was AMAZING!! If your between having tea here or The Brown Palace where you pay twice the amount, go HERE! So happy we did!

This is an amazing self guided tour of a beautiful castle that has had a storied past. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable of the past uses of this building and prior to the tour beginning you are given a short history. The entrance fee is $15 and worth every penny. There are lots of stairs inside so be ready for some walking.

A historic glimpse into the past. This castle is a beautiful masterpiece. I can say the ghosts are real as I had a wicked never felt before experience in the new military room. The teddy bears left for the children are heartbreaking but a nice tribute to remember them. Would glady go tour this castle again.

This review is about the Miramont high tea, not the museum. Wonderful experience! The tea room is well decorated, and the space is well utilized, with enough space to keep the conversations at different tables private. The food comes in several stages, all original, high quality, and tasty. You can choose two different teas—two teapots per person. You can add a cocktail for an additional charge. Friendly and professional service. You can also have some fun wearing one of the hats provided by the establishment. Reservations highly recommended.

We had an amazing high tea experience at the Queen's tea room today! The service was impeccable. The food was all delicious and my niece who is 10, enjoyed every bit of it and she felt very special and very celebrated. We did the tour of miramont Castle afterward and I'm so glad we did some fun and interesting history tidbits and a lot of very cool local history artifacts that you could get up close to, which was very rewarding. Because it's an old building, there's some uneven floors so that's the only thing to be aware of, but it is not anything that should prevent you from stopping by. Time and age does strange things to buildings.

Nice little walkthrough of the castle. Some history of the people who lived there and a tribute to the fire fighters who battled a blaze in the area. One of the judges for the Nurnberg WWII trials was from Colorado springs, so even some WWII pictures there

Still awesome! I came here all the time as a child. We always got sarsaparilla's while we toured the museum. I did this with my family and we had a great time. It's a great interactive museum. Very educational too. We panned for gold and found some nuggets that you can keep. The lady's in the gift shop were very friendly and awesome as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place is wonderful for both adults and kids. The kids will love the old stuff... The adults will want to learn more about it! It has a plethora of interesting things - blacksmithing materials from the late 1800's, early 1900s, the first washing machines, carriages, pharmacy, etc. It's too much to name. Just an immense amount of things from the late 1800s to early 1900s and it's all fascinating. Plus panning for gold outside and a really cool gift shop area.

This was some of the worst customer service we’ve had in Colorado so far. I looked this up before we went. I seen they closed at 5 and that it took around 30 to 45 minutes to go through so we stopped in. We were greeted by an older lady with short hair with an attitude. As we walked in the door at 3:50 she said are you here to go through the museum? We close at 5. Then huffed and puffed and acted as if we were killing her by being there and reluctantly sold us the tickets. We went in anyway, refusing to let her ruin it. Only to run into her at the bathroom with the same attitude. It’s 4:30 and we close at 5. We exited the museum and started shopping for souvenirs as she stared at us the whole time, when another gentleman walked in. He was greeted with an even worse attitude as she told him he could come back during normal business hours and that they’d be happy he was there while smirking and huffing. We then laid our stuff down we had planned to buy and walked out of the door as she followed and locked the door at 4:45 behind us. We get it, you close at 5 but there is a professional way to tell people without the attitude that says we don’t want you here. You shouldn’t be working in a museum if you don’t like tourists. As for the museum, it’s ok. A little overpriced. Would have been a lot better with informative staff that was happy to be there and genuinely interested in telling people about it.

Fun, small museum with interesting history. Entry is 8$ per person. There’s old fashioned rooms to go in and look at how things used to be back in the day. Next, you can pan for real gold in a special area outside. Then, you can look at old furnished rooms (behind glass) with antiques & pieces of history including the bed of the 21st President. Lastly, there is a short film about Colorado Springs history. This place would be a great, short excursion if you are visiting Colorado Springs.

This was a fun way to spend an hour! If you have kids with you who want to run through it, they'll likely be bored quickly. But if you stop, look in each building, and take time to appreciate what's been preserved, and are willing to have a little fun, it's a good time. For the cost, it's well worth the hour or so. The gift shop is fun to walk around and has touristy souvenirs even if you don't go through the museum. Bonus tip: Bring quarters. Much of the interactive stuff costs quarters to participate.

This is a really fun museum. They let you touch some of the stuff and they have real working old self playing pianos. You can gold pan and play old arcade type games. It's definetly fun for kids and worth the price of admission

Took our family for a visit and every single one of us had a blast!! From 2 to 46 years okd…we were enthralled and entertained from start to finish!! Lot of hands-on sights and pieces of history. The gift shop was loaded with nostalgic items, a little bit of something for everyone!

We loved visiting the ProRodeo Hall of Fame. So much information and awesome memorabilia. Highly recommend this place to a Rodeo fan. They also had many things for children to try out so they would stay engaged and entertained throughout the museum.

Tickets are $10 for an adult and $9 for seniors. Well worth it! We got to see two horses with their babies. Enjoyed the 15 min video presentation/educational about the rodeo. Lots to see!

There is a lot of interesting stuff even for people like I, who have never seen real rodeo shows. The museum is very big. There is a beautiful area in the backyard: small "lake" and sculptures and life horses on the fence.

So much history packed into one building. The memorial room for Chris ledoux is awesome. Saddle, buckles, banners, & photos of legendary cowboys & cowgirls . Great place to spend a few hrs

I'm very thankful this place exists because I love everything that has to do with rodeos! So many cool things here, I highly recommend visiting if you're planning on being in the Colorado Springs area! Something that was really cool is they have a sort of scavenger hunt that you can do that not only gets you to really read and look at everything, but if you are able to find what they tell you to, you win a prize at the gift shop! So make sure you participate in that right after getting your admission ticket! The amount of history and items in each display case are amazing! You can also go outside and see more out there including a few retired, but still beautiful as ever, horses along with their baby horses! You can't pet them though, but that doesn't matter, just being able to see these beautiful creatures in person so close is worth it! It wasn't crowded when we visited which was great! You should definitely come here and experience everything this great place has to offer!

This was a great place to visit. I am a lifelong rodeo fan and I have wanted to go here for a while. The exhibits were interesting and brought back memories. The only disappointment was that they would NOT give my phone number to my next husband, Luke Branquinho.

Drove an hour here for homeschool day and was a little disappointed. First, there was some confusion about pricing because many Facebook posts mentioned the event was free. The website says 1st child is $15, each additional child $12. I had to call to clarify and was told it would be $15 for each parent as well. $45 for a homeschooling family of three is a little steep, in my opinion, for what is offered here. We are a one-income family, perhaps they don't understand that I don't get paid to teach my child at home? We went because we had already made plans and my daughter was excited. The sphere talk was kind of cool and the workshop activity was fun. The gentleman running that was great. The various labs were mostly closed while we were there and had scheduled times they were supposed to be open but by that time, we'd already been there for almost three hours and didn't want to wait another hour for someone to open the labs but we did so we went around and did each of the independent exhibits which were ok, a little boring and didn't take up much time. We waited outside the drone lab at the scheduled time but no one showed up. We went to ask someone and a gentleman let us in and was trying to show us the drones but it was obvious he didn't know how to operate anything. He went to get someone else and a woman showed up and said the exhibit was closed because all the drones were charging, I think. It was hard to understand her because she had a mask on. We tried the 3-D printing lab and they were full so we did the exhibit again and then waited outside the rover lab until they opened. The rover lab was ok, the rover kept malfunctioning and the attendant had to keep walking onto the exhibit to fix it. The 3D printing pen lab was fun, the gentleman there was really friendly. All in all, I don't think we'll come back and I'm not sure I'd recommend this place. Definitely not a place you'd want to spend all day at and I don't think they should be charging parents $15 for entrance fee on homeschool day.

This place is a great place to learn. Everyone working here is very knowledgeable. They have lots of interesting exhibits. I learned a lot of new information.Driving the rovers was fun. Definitely a great place for kids! Loved the rocket trash cans.

What a great place! We only had two hours to explore but could have spent much more time. Our kids especially enjoyed flying drones, walking on the moon, driving Mars rovers, and making their own 3D pen creation. The staff are helpful and engaging with the kids. When our daughter was upset that her 3D pen creation didn't look like anything and she couldn't figure it out, the staff member was so kind and helped her to feel better about what she had made. Such a lovely, kid friendly place.

I enjoyed this museum. It is definitely centered towards children but as an adult, I still enjoyed seeing the various artifacts and rockets. My favorite artifact was the bronze statue of Yuri Gagarin. It's not a museum you will spend a lot of time and and I was disappointed they canceled some of the presentation times.

College students with a valid student ID can get tickets for $7.50! This place is definitely catered towards the elementary school kid age. But there are some cool interactive exhibits for the adults also! The “harder” scavenger hunt was fun searching for the hidden Pop figurines! Definitely stop by the Science on a Sphere and the Mars Rover exhibits. It took us about 2 hours total to get through everything including both scavenger hunts. It’s a fun (and cheaper) way to spend a few hours on the weekend! Especially if you have younger kids.

Not only is this place cool for kids and adults to see, but the staff here are amazing. We have a dog we're training for service work, and we contacted the staff ahead of time to make sure it was okay for us to bring her. Not only were they receptive to it, but they also posted a welcome picture and educated the families that came in at the same time to not pet the dog, etc. They were wonderful. We had such a great time and really enjoyed our visit. We'd absolutely recommend the Discovery center to others, especially those with children.

What a beautiful museum. We ended up here to knock off a couple hours before dinner. My kids are just toddlers so they really didn't do too much except try to make a mess. However I did notice that my little girl really liked the scope with the slides. There was blocks to try and put together. All those neat displays of suits that have been worn by astronauts and what they're diets like was really cool. There was a very intriguing child in a suit and when I read the description it was a very close concept to the boy in the bubble. This particular suit kept kids with severe immune problems In A germ free Environment

Really cool to see all of these things bugs, some of which are over 100 years old! A good mix of pretty and horrifying. You'll see stick bugs bigger than your head that made me cringe, and then in the next case we're beautiful iridescent butterflies that help me recover from the creepy crawlies! Not super little kid friendly, my 2yo didn't have a great time but he isn't the target audience so that makes sense.

This was such a unique & incredible opportunity to see! Our group was so impressed by the vast amount of specimens available for viewing. Some of which were extremely rare, even in the wild. Some specimen were very creepy, some were very pretty, a little bit for everyone! The gift shop had plenty of cute trinkets to buy afterward as well.

We loved the museum. Everything was clean and well maintained. Some of the signs got a little repetitive. Maybe add more facts to differentiate information if possible. Cool little gift shop. Free gift bags for a Halloween event, even though we were adults. We appreciated that! Definitely could have spent more time there, but we wanted to get out before dark. Would def come back.

My husband and I visited this museum five + years ago and came back again as a family birthday celebration for our six year old. He was absolutely enamored by the bugs and history of the etymologist who collected these bugs. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the insects again as adults, too. It’s truly such a special piece of history - the largest private collection of insects anywhere in the world. Dates label each bug when it was collected. Amazing to think back to what was going on in history with each bug collected. Highly recommend for families! This local family who owns the campground & museum are absolutely such kind wonderful people, too!

This place was amazing. The exhibit and the collection were well taken care of. The museum was easy to follow; and hard to leave. Would highly recommend and encourage a visit.

Small museum but all the artifacts and displays are well done and can tell the staff take great care of the museum. Facility was dog friendly, I'd highly recommend checking this place out if in the area. It is on the Space Force Base so will require access or going through the visitor center.

Really great museum. I loved that we could touch all the planes and not just look at them behind a rope. My kids loved running from plane to plane. The volunteers were super knowledgeable and helpful. If you can get on base you need to go here.

A must see and experience recommendation. We were so disappointed with the AFA visitors center that we landed here. So worth it. Just know it closes early. The volunteers that guide you and share information are literally the most phenomenal people I have ever met! Definitely plan accordingly to weather, if it's too hot the plane will have to close early. Great visuals ans explanations to everything. Plus the property and grounds themselves are a very pleasant scenery. We will be back !

We had a wonderful guided tour visit at the museum by Gail. Our family learned a lot and enjoyed our visit. Lots to look at inside and outside as well. Well worth the paperwork to get access to the base to see the museum.

If you work on Peterson SFB, or have a few extra minutes when visiting, I highly recommend walking around this amazing open outdoor Aircraft Museum. No gates, cost, or entrance procedure, just see it anytime. Each aircraft and missile has an informative plaque. It is a fun and memorable walk through military aviation history.

To whom this may concern - we just finished our tour at the Peterson Museum and Joe - our guide - was very nice and knowledgeable. However, I did not appreciate his remarks at the end that the “current army” doesn’t support “Donald” , and goes on to highlight a recent west point experience. He then spoke about how easily “Donald” gets us into Wars, when ironically he has been the only president in the past 2 decades who has not began a war. Those denigrating comments about our Commander in Chief were not appreciated. My wife and I are both American Citizens, and this was a let down to know this attitude is prevalent inside base. I hope my comments don’t fall on deaf ears. Regards, Hugo

Great experience! Even with the large excited crowds ALL the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The concourse was highly staffed and lines moved swiftly. They did great with traffic control after the show to keep things rolling! Great efforts from the arena!

We had a great experience #LifeSurge. The building is clean and so many bathrooms 🚻. Easy to find the venue and parking. Easy to get out after the event too. Oh one water bottle is 5$. I have never bought water bottle at the event like this and like this place before so I don't know, it might be normal price.

This is a nice arena with ample parking, it's easy to get in and out. I have attended two graduations here. I've always had a good view. Please note if you sit in an upper level you have to go down the stairs to get to the restroom.

Great place for a convention. Attended Colorado Springs comic con. Space was very adequate. No problems the main floor and ice palace were very accessible. Staff was very enthusiastic and welcoming to venders. Security was good. Hotel was near the Arena. La Quinnta is a nice hotel. Breakfast was good. Could walk across street to Old Chicago. Area is set up nicely. Target is not too far away. Had a better time at Colorado Springs comic con at World Arena then at Fan Expo and the Colorado convention Center. Is a very laid back space with more accessible entrances.

I have been to events at the Broadmoor Arena before this Life Surge event on 27 September. The parking lot can really use some repairs, though the cost of $10.00 is reasonable. The event itself was better than I had hoped. Great music and speakers. The food vendors are a little pricey and the portions are small. They do not take cash.

I don’t usually make my way down to Colorado Springs, but this time the drive was worth it, a family birthday gift to go see the monster trucks. And man, it did not disappoint. The smaller venue gave it this raw, up close energy, and the sound just ripped through the place because of the size and layout. Loud, intense, and flat out awesome. I walked away seriously impressed.

This is a free little museum in manatou springs, they also sell little fold up souvenir cups to sample the mineral springs around town, they are 1 for $3 OR 2 FOR $5 It is a little small but they have interesting exhibits it's definetly worth stopping in

This is so full of information! You better come ready to learn! It had a little bit of everything for the history of Manitou Springs. The highlights for me were the men who pushed peanuts up Pikes Peak with their noses and the pottery/art collection of Van Briggle. The person at the desk was distracted and not friendly. She barely greeted us. On the other side, I learned a lot about the town.

The person working really knows their history as they should. Very welcoming and kind. Glad to give my patronage to a place such as this.

Intimate space with tucked away corners that feature the history of Manitou Springs, and its popular attractions, local celebrities, and events, like the Hill Climb. Small souvenir area. Quick visit; maybe 30/45 minutes, but a nice stop.

This is the best lil' museum around these parts! And the ghost tours are an extra special treat! Such a special place to visit!

The Cog Railway station in Manitou Springs is the perfect start to an unforgettable adventure up to Pikes Peak! The train ride was absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend doing the conductor package. It is awesome riding in the very front on the way up however, on the way back, you are facing backwards, looking out the window, which makes it even cooler cause you get to see everything in both directions, not looking at any other people so again highly recommend the conductor package, absolutely stunning views the wildlife, and the donuts at the top if you got

This was the best 1st mountain train ride I have ever had!! I am glad I went, I was so mind-blown 🤯by the amazing views, I was just in awe. It was my 1st time in Colorado, it was a memorable experience!

Supper cold on the train take your own blanket. They don't have heaters on the train I was so cold it was uncomfortable. if you do take snacks you cant eat them on the ride up but once you get to the top and get off the u can eat them. The visitors center at the top has nasty pizza and hot dogs and cheap nachos but the doughnuts were ok. Everything is expensive. Beautiful views best views on the left handside of the train. Take water I only walked from the train to the visitors center and my heart was beating out of my chest and I had a headache. You will get sleepy on the way down.

Riding the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak was breathtaking. Literally. My family of 4 enjoyed this ride! We booked the 2 seat side which was great but we would have loved the views more from the 3 seat side. Now I know for next time! The ride up was enjoyable & we enjoyed listening to all the fun facts & history on the way up! We almost got 1 of everything at the visitors center & Sat down & ate quickly. Walked even quicker through the gift shop as it was slightly pricy & enjoyed the rest of the time outside taking in the incredible views! This was truly a unique experience & would 100% recommend it for any age! We chose as early ride & enjoyed Manitou Springs the rest of the day!

This place is incredible. As much as I workout, I just knew I could adapt to the elevation at the top, but I was wrong. Being at the top was tough. We were only there for about an hour but that is plenty of time to go to the bathroom, get a donut, take pics, and get back on board. The views are breathtaking! Bring water and a jacket because you will need both! Fun critters to see along the way too.

Such a fun ride & absolutely gorgeous! Went at the end of September & the trees were just lovely. The ride took maybe an hour & the conductor had all kinds of fun facts, history, & funny puns the whole way. The train was full, so definitely plan ahead. And the top! How cool! The views are stunning! Get a donut - so worth it.

DT concept album - Parasomnia. Consummate musicianship, videos, light, laser, stage and dialed in sound production - killed it. Full show experience. Venue totally supported it. Great environment and wonderful venue.

I have to say, to me, this was the best place to see a live performance! Great atmosphere, clean, and parking was a breeze!! This is my new favorite place to see my favorite artist. I went to see Dream Theater 9/29/25 for their Parasomnia tour. This was my first time at Pikes Peak Center and I was blown away!!

I've been to many shows at the Pikes Peak center and have never seen a bad one. Australian Floyd was playing this time and they put on an incredible show. The light work was fantastic. And the music was almost better than the originals

I pray that this venue can have an opportunity to start opening up to more styles of music and audiences! The sound design is unmatched by any Denver venue I've been to, and there are great drink options. There is a focus on classical music, but I really think this can be Colorado springs' up and coming venue for even more shows for audiences which may appreciate other genres. I'd go to a rock concert here immediately if it was an option! The vibe is buttoned up, dress nicely. Which is great for the classical music, but if other music was being played then this venue could host so much more variety!

Amazing acoustics with amazing views on every level. Plenty of bar options and courteous staff. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Great venue for musical performances. The venue is huge, with lots of balcony seating, The sound quality was great. We will gladly go again when there’s another performance from the bands we follow.

All the employees were very kind and so helpful. Our new conductor Chloe Dufresne is a powerhouse! The orchestra played brilliantly. Music fills the auditorium. Grab a seat that's affordable and enjoy the experience!

2768 steps keep us climbing on this trail with sweat and heart pumping. I kept walking without sitting to take a rest and it took 70 minutes to the top. Coming back to the entrance was 3 miles on the other trail to enjoy gorgeous view!! Don't forget plenty water. It's worth to try!^^

PLEASE DON’T BRING YOUR DOG: We met 3 hikers struggling enormously going down because the dogs were terrified when looking down, really stressed and not moving. Not an easy hike at all—I almost passed out on the way up. Brutal climb, step after step, with no real break, but the sensation of reaching the top is incredible. The return hike down is also rough on the knees. Beginners should avoid this—dragging your whole family up here will just make them hate you. For the prepared though, it’s an unforgettable challenge.

A hard challenging incline of 2700+ steps. Must have proper gear/ shoes , hiking shoes 🥾 are ideal as sneakers /sports shoes can get slippery on the way down with sand on steeper steps; just a word of caution , but most climb with regular running shoes Hiking poles are recommended for support . There are broader steps and rock plank for a short pause at a relatively good distance but can also block people who are fast paced. Torch light or head lamp are good to pack for the before sunrise climbers and recommended to begin atleast an hour before sunrise to get a good glimpse . Every few hundred steps are marked to know the number of steps climbed 😀 Hydration with some electrolytes is good. 💦💧. Snacks/ bars . One Tends to get out of breath so be cautious of what you need to take . It’s a must try out adventure if visiting Colorado Springs or places around . A good drive from Breckenridge . Keep 3-4 hours on hand for a complete summit experience Enjoy the climb and stay safe!

Hard hike but worth the effort. Was cool when we started but can heat up fast. Take plenty of water and use bathroom as it can take a couple hours to get up and back down.

Loved this mental and physical challenge. Did it to celebrate a friend turning 40. I did closer to 4100 steps after thinking I lost my phone along the way. Friendly and kind hikers the whole way. For a cardio junky it was a booty and calf burner

The Manitou Incline is an exhilarating experience that's not to be missed! The hike is challenging, with steep inclines and dry air, but the views from the top are stunning. And when you need a break, there are opportunities to take alternative trails back down. Completing the hike is a huge accomplishment – be prepared and hydrate!

IMPORTANT things to know before going: *High altitude start (around 6600' at the base). Those coming from lower elevation should seriously take a few days to acclimate. Altitude sickness is no joke! *Steep & uneven terrain! Some stairs are 8" deep and 14"+ tall. Make sure you wear appropriate footwear & are prepared to climb, not just "walk stairs" as there is a high risk of falling. *Incredibly steep incline! You are ascending almost 2000' in a mile. It is an extremely intense cardio. Make sure you are in shape and know your limitations. Now onto the review: Wow! This was incredible! Definitely difficult, but doable and so worth it! Took just under 3 hours round trip (up a mile incline, down the 3.5 mile Barr Trail). There is a free shuttle (parking costs) that takes you to the trailhead. Busses come about every 5 minutes. The parking lot is near Hiawatha Street. I recommend starting early, by sunrise your back is getting full sun & it can get hot fast. Wear sunscreen so you don't get fried. There are places to step off to the side & catch your breath in some shade. Take your time, enjoy the incline! It's just over 1 mile, straight up!! The first part isn't too steep and gives you a sense of confidence, but come the second half, especially the last 700, it is so steep in some spots you're using your hands to climb (felt more like climbing a ladder). Stairs are uneven, in depth and height so make sure to wear good sneakers or hiking boots & stay attentive. Bring enough water & snacks for a strenuous hike, but don't over pack. I took hiking poles but didn't use them. Others had them & used them. There are 4 bail out points, and they are positioned perfectly. The first (around 300 stairs) & second (around 600) are there, but we didn't even give a thought because we felt confident in the incline. The third is at 1300 and by that point it is starting to get steeper, but you're halfway and can keep going. The last one is at 1800 and the perfect spot to say, "I only have 1000 more to go. I can make it to the top." It's also right where the false summit comes into view. Don't get discouraged though, the real summit is not far after that (about 400 stairs or so). There are metal markers every 100 stairs which was so helpful and encouraging, knowing how far you'd come and how far you have left. Take the Barr Trail down to avoid injury or accident, or upsetting uphill hikers. Plus the trail is beautiful with stunning views of the valley. The best part was the people hiking (and summiting of course). Everyone is so friendly and encouraging, whether it's their daily workout or the first time attempting. People at the top are cheering for you whether you know them or not. If you're thinking of attempting it, do it! Don't be afraid, just go for it!

Absolutely loved our perfect evening at the Flying W Ranch. We enjoyed all the activities they have before sitting down for dinner. The food was delicious. The show was really good! We just recently moved to CO. This was a great welcome to CO! Tickets are a bit expensive. But I felt like it was totally worth it.

What a great time! Highly recommend experiencing this beautiful place. They were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Great food and atmosphere. The Flying W Wranglers are a must see. Wow!! Such beautiful voices and true to the old west. Loved every minute. Hoping to visit at Christmas time!

Absolutely fantastic venue for an outdoor event with all of our colleagues! We appreciate that they had traditional bull riding and wrangling. All the staff here were friendly and accommodating. It was amazing how they were able to serve about 500 people in less than 20 minutes. Our food was fantastic, the beef brisket was smoked to perfection and the baked beans were awesome. We loved the traditional live western music with the flying W band and we were able to do some line dancing and country music after the western music show..

We went to our first show this evening. Let me just say...amazing! Our family had such a wonderful time and it was well worth the price. The property is absolutely beautiful and the activities are very enjoyable. It is definitely family friendly. It was refreshing to see them portray God, family and country. Food was great and they got everyone through the line quickly. The entertainment was on point! Classic western music...we will definitely be coming back for the Christmas show. Thank you all for the wonderful experience **the only minor issue I had was the young lady who was doing the checkout at the merchandise counter was not very friendly and just came across like she had an attitude or didnt want to be there (maybe she was having a bad day)..BUT still is well deserving of 5 stars**

I have lived in the Springs for 8 years and had never been here but my family was visiting from Minnesota so decided to bring them here on the last night of the trip. Amazing. The facilities, the animals, the music, the food, the efficiency, the kindness/friendliness of all the staff and musicians. Really one of the most wholesome, beautiful experiences you could have with your family. Worth every penny.

The show is excellent, the food is delicious, the serving process is surprisingly efficient, and the setting is beautiful. The new showroom is very impressive. We were glad that grace is said before the food is served. Great experience, definitely appropriate for all ages.

Hands down one of the best things we did while in Colorado! We were worried about going on opening day but everything was absolutely perfect. Get there early so you have plenty of time to see all the animals and do all the things! The food was awesome! I even got seconds! The Wranglers were incredibly talented! My family of 4 enjoyed this evening so much! It was one for the books!

Lovely intimate museum gallery of exhibits from USA Figure Skating, and it's history, costumes, blade development and more. Some outfits from the stars and their respective medals and awards are on display. Near the Broadmoor Center on a small cul de sac entrance.

The Figure Skating Museum is a great place to celebrate history, and the sport of figure skating. I learned a lot from coming here. On display they show Olympic medals, art, Olympic uniforms, awards, skates, autographs, and more. You should come see this place for yourself!

Well worth a visit! Amazing memorabilia going back many decades, and right up to the present. Makes me want to start following elite figure skating like I used to. Sadly, I’m not as close to it as I used to be but I would sure love to go to the world championships next year.

Figure skaters must visit place when you are in Colorado Springs!

If you are a figure skater or a fan of figure skating, this museum is definitely worth the visit. It's not huge, but there is a good amount to see. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a small gift shop as well.

A wonderful museum of figure skating. Very knowledgeable personnel! Costumes, pictures, medals, trophies, statues, skates and blades from the beginning of the figure skating! Kids enjoyed it as much as adults did! If you have any interest in the sport, it should be on your bucket list!

If you love ice/figure skating and if you are ever in Colorado Springs, Colorado, you got to visit this place! It costs $ 5.00 to get in and there are 2 floors of everything ice skating. Loved it! You can take as many pictures as you want and they have a very small gift/souvenir shop on your way out.

Good park, few homeless people hanging around. Nice playground for kids, water park. They have an ice skating rink in the winter. Scooter rentals nearby. Overall a good park, just depends on the sketchy people that are around. Sometimes they are there, sometimes they are not.

It’s good to bring kids. There is a water park and a playground. There is some homeless people. You can also rent scooters to ride around. Winter time there is a skating rink.

Great downtown park- there is usually at least one or two homeless persons there camping out. Only negative is I wish there was a little fence around children’s area since cars are so near. More street meter parking, see cost/hrs in photos. Park hrs also in photos.

This is just a little downtown park but it's pretty nice. Plenty of places to stretch out under the trees in the grass. There is a very large area with playground stuff for kids and they seem to love it. There are plenty of little coffee shops and restaurants all around Acacia Park and downtown shopping-well it's right there. You will see homeless people from time to time congregating there.

Great public venue and space for Community! Support Our Children, Our Future, Our Public Schools!

This is an outstanding downtown park! They have everything you could want: an amazing playground, climbing hills, a splash pad, a picnic area, and a ton of space for kids to run, kick a soccer ball, play tag, etc. The playground in particular is exceptional. It's a massive, multi-level infinity sign with an epic amount of options that require climbing, balance, strength, & imagination. These are the types of playgrounds kids need because of how great they are for everything from strength & balance, to executive functioning, problem-solving, etc. I also love that there are tons of great restaurants surrounding the park.

It can be very windy in winter sunny in Summer ( it’s quite exposed) but despite this it’s one of the best playgrounds/parks for little kids in the Springs… it also has a splash pad that opens at 10am (closes for 30 min about every 2 hrs), but it’s huge and farm themed! There is a sand pit, huge place structure, farm animal swing sets, spinning structure, etc. It’s always really packed with kids, which can be a positive and negative. One hand it’s a bit chaotic if you are looking for a more beautiful setting. And the other hand if you want to place full of energy and other kids for your kids to play with it’s a great choice.

This park is beautiful and well-maintained. A fabulous addition to the area. So much to do including lots of play structures and a huge splash pad. There’s ample picnic tables and shade as well. Lots of benches and seating too. My family really enjoyed it and we’ll be back soon.

Very nice park! Visiting from California and looked for parks to walk my dog around. Nice trail around whole park. There is a dry creek bed you can walk down too. Cute playgrounds. Splash pad was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Restrooms are closed—about 4 ports-potties.

We had a large group picnic here. Reservations were ready to schedule. Kids loved the water zone. Plenty of tables.

Daughter loved playing at the playground. The splash pad seemed nice and busy but she didn’t want to play on it. There is limited seating with shade with the exception of of the pavilions. I would say it is definitely targeted for kids under 8.

We Love this place and thank you for it ALL being free! It is everything you want for a great family outing. I will say you do have to keep close eye on kiddos, because it is such a big outdoor space. ALSO i recommended bringing your own shade along with all the other outdoor necessities/ essentials for a water/splash pad, hot metal and plastic fun playground, bathrooms and I think concessions ( not 💯 on that) Have a great time! This park is clean, safe and so much fun for the kids! The splash pad is huge and has so many fun things for the kids to do, and then there’s the whole rest of the park to enjoy once they’ve dried off. The spinning rope tower is an interesting play structure that you don’t see every day and there’s just so much to do, you can easily spend a few hours at this playground. The trash cans appear to be well maintained and regularly emptied and there are bathrooms available. We couldn’t get into the family bathroom while we were there because it was locked and there didn’t seem to be anyone on there so hopefully it will be available to use next time.

We had an amazing time here. PLENTY of space for my daughter’s fourth birthday party. I did pay for the kiddos to do the slime and I high recommend that as well! They all ran around, had fun, got energy out and had delicious cake/cupcake after the slime. The staff was attentive, kind and interactive with the kids. This is THE place to have your toddlers birthday party!!!

My daughter and I love coming here. This place is perfect for kids, even my 15 month old who isn’t waking yet. There is so much for her to do, always looking around the corner for the next thing. The staff is so sweet and helpful. It’s totally worth the price. It’s clean and well kept.

My kiddos always love to come here and play with others and just explore their imagination and in my mom words, “get their zoomies out”. We love to come here especially on cold and gross days when playing outside isn’t optional. Definitely recommend this establishment to any parents looking to take their kids to experience something fun

My kids and their friends had so much fun, and I want to say a huge thank you for being so flexible about everything. Overall an amazing experience and staff was amazing.

I've taken my toddler (under 2) for a regular play date and he loved it. We ended up having his birthday there and the kids invited had ages ranging from newborn to 16 years. While it was a stretch of a place for the older kids they were able to have plenty of space to interact with the younger kids. I appreciate the ladies help and assurance in helping me out as I ran around. I would plan on booking another event there and quite a few of the parents that attended the party were asking me the process in booking the place.

It was a great experience for little man. So much fun stuff to do, he was busy playing the whole time and didn’t want to leave!!

Wow, what an awesome space! It is adorably and thoughtfully put together. There is a wide range of good quality toys. I brought children with a range of ages from 2-9. My girls got slime kits and the staff member helped them and was very sweet and patient. I was incredibly impressed with the staff members and the general atmosphere. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful area, nice drive around the park. Lots of areas to pull over and take pictures, really nice mountain views. Huge souvenir store with lots of really nice stuff, fudge spot and a restaurant. Had a really nice visit and the park is free to enter, they have a place in the souvenir store if you want to make a donation. Enjoy

This trading post has it all. Clothes, souvenirs of all kinds, decorations, toys, etc. The employees are helpful and very polite. The restrooms are clean and convenient being central to the park. There is a restaurant inside (Balanced Rock Cafe) that serves delicious wraps and burgers. We ate here twice during our short stay it was that good!

The Trading Post is located within the boundary of the Garden of the Gods park. In addition to standard gift shop merchandise and very cute gift items, the shop consists of numerous local and Native American vendors selling beautiful art, jewelry, and some clothing. There is also a cafe and ice cream shop located within the Trading Post, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Toilets are available within the store and were clean. The prices were a bit high on the gift shop merchandise, but they do have some unique items and a great children's book section.

Beautiful scenery, quiet location. Parking is a hassle sometimes, but you can stop along the road and take pictures every now and then. Make sure to check out balance rock and other sights. I give it a 👍🏾.

This place was huge! At first I thought that they sold only tourist items, but the good stuff was towards the back. They offered a large variety and selection of Southwestern Native American jewelry as well as other handmade products including knives and accessories. I was helped by Kat and she showed me some very beautiful earrings including a vintage pair when I mentioned I was looking to buy some for a good friend. I also purchased this sterling silver belt buckle (pictured) for myself, which happened to be on sale. On my way out I bought some fudge, which was very delicious. This place was a nice gem of a shop that I stumbled upon while I was heading out of Garden of the Gods Park. I’d visit it again the next time I’m in the area.

This is a new area to shop at the bottom of the Garden of the Gods. There is a restaurant and an ice cream shop here. Clean restrooms. It's open until 8:30. It's a great place to stop after the visitor center closes. There are a few different shops in the trading post. There is something for everyone. There is also an art gallery. The trading post is a great addition to the area.

Cool stop if you're near the Garden of the Gods. Cool gifts and art. Two cafes inside. We had chicken wraps with fries, which were delicious. Lots of pictures and history too.

Garden of the Gods is absolutely stunning! This natural park not only showcases breathtaking rock formations but also features a small exhibition highlighting the native species and history of the area. There are plenty of activities to enjoy—you can rent a bike, take a guided jeep tour, or ride the trolley. I recommend downloading the park map in advance so you can plan which trails to explore. Walking here is very comfortable since most of the trails are paved, and every path offers incredible views. Parking is available in several areas, and you’ll find public restrooms conveniently located throughout the park. In my opinion, this is the most iconic and must-see spot in Colorado Springs.

Friendly staff at the front, and the Visitor Center itself is nice. There’s a free museum inside and a free shuttle to the main areas (we didn’t use it). We did the $24 per person 4-row jeep tour—totally worth it. Great views, and the driver was friendly and gave us good tips on where to hike after. Downside: my husband got stung by a bee. We went to first aid and were basically told, “yeah, that’s a yellow jacket,” and handed a band-aid. No ice, no real help. Kind of a letdown in an otherwise solid visit. Overall, still a cool place to start your day at the park, just wish first aid was more helpful.

Awesome trails and view of the mountains. Can see a bunch of wildlife as well. The Visitor Center has exhibits and some shops. Great for families. It can get busy driving especially on the weekends. Otherwise definitely worth the views.

The Garden of the God's Visitor Center is a good first stop when entering the park. The Center has exhibits, clean restrooms, a large gift shop, cafe, and fabulous staff and volunteers. There is also a theater showing a short film regarding the evolution of the park over time. The park and visitor center are free, although there are donation kiosks available to support the park. You will need to purchase tickets for the film at a kiosk. We stopped at the information desk for guidance on how best to spend our time at the park. The Volunteer discussed various trails and lengths so we could plan our morning at the park. We were amazed that Garden of the God's is a city park. The facilities, trails, roads, and signs were all well designed and maintained.

Its set at a good location to get introduced to the park, easy walk down as well. Can't beat free as well. I didnt partake in the cafe but the souvenir shop has an abundance of stuff to buy plus excursions in the park. The museum is fun and informative, I appreciate the link to native tribes. Next visit I will catch the movie.

First time here! And went on the Trolley Tour, our guide Preacher was amazing!!! He made us laugh, was able to guide us through everything that we were looking at and was very try knowledgeable. This was definitely the way to tour Garden of the Gods for the first time!

This is one of the most beautiful parks, views are fantastic, weather wonderful. You can hike trails even with your dog, you can go bicycling. Plus it’s close enough to the city to shop or go to restaurants. And it’s extremely clean!!

This state park is one of the best RV friendly places we've stayed at so far. Easy access for any rv up to 40', possibly longer. Extremely clean park, including the restrooms 🚻!! Lots of wildlife here. We have seen Mule Deer, turkey, prairie dogs, and other native animals. We totally enjoyed the stay and wish we were able to stay much longer. However, our journey only included 2 days here. Very close to all major Colorado Springs attractions!! Make sure you plan to make reservations way before going there. It's obviously a very popular campground. We were lucky to get the ada spot two weeks in advance. There was no other non ada available for more than 4 weeks of advance checks we made. Make your reservation soon and go visit this amazing state park!!!

Visiting Cheyenne Mountain felt like stepping into a vast, breathing landscape that quietly hums with history and altitude. The air has that crisp clarity that makes every sound feel sharper, and the trails carry a steady rhythm that keeps you aware of how small you are compared to the mountain’s quiet confidence. I wasn’t expecting to feel so grounded just by walking and watching light move across the slopes. It’s a place that rewards patience more than speed.

Wonderful ecosystems merging right here… The Great Plains and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Oak grassland Pine spruce and much more. Many wonderful loop trails thank you all.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is a beautiful and peaceful spot for hiking, biking, and relaxing in nature. 🌿 The trails are well-kept, the restrooms are spotless, and the picnic areas are perfect. 🧺 The visitor center is lovely, and the rangers are super friendly and helpful. A must-visit in Colorado Springs! 🌄💚

It was so quiet and peaceful! Saw wild life such as dear and turkeys. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful - just a gorgeous setting!!!

The place is great. I love bring my kids here. But your only getting a three because your putting food on rust. What is up with this. Please review my photos and get this fixed before someone gets you in real trouble. This is not okay.

Kids had a blast, very expensive. Staff was lovely, the chairs sucked lol and the menu is limited on weekdays and that stinks bc I thought I was going to feed my entourage of kids for$4 but regardless they had so much fun! We will be back.

We had family visiting from TX, so we took them to Overdrive Raceway so their three teenagers could have a fun-filled experience. Rather than paying $25 for one race each, we opted for the $53 value of 3 races for each girl. They had a blast! We also ate upstairs. The food and service were great! The prices are reasonable.

Overdrive Raceway has a fun concept with fast karts and a cool atmosphere, but the value for the price is lacking. Races are short, and the downtime between them can be frustrating. The staff were okay, but there were moments of unclear communication, and it seemed like they didn’t care. They also refused to honor my coupon, which was disappointing. Additionally, they charge a 3% fee to use your credit card, just passing the costs down to the customer. Overall, it’s an entertaining outing for the kids, but with a few tweaks, it could be much more memorable.

Great fun for the adults seeking some speed and challenge on the wheels. Beer and beverages available at the bar upstairs.

The kids had a great time. It's clean and has a wonderful setup and the staff is great. I feel the venue would attract much larger crowds if the costs per race were more affordable. The facility should offer a $5 per race night at least one night a week.

The front windows are smothered with fingerprints. The trampolines are filthy. I absolutely cannot believe that this place is still open for business and you can definitely tell that it’s ran by Young kids with zero work ethics absolutely zero!!! they’re all standing behind the counter with their cell phones doing nothing !!! when there’s so much that can be done. This place used to be so nice. It’s been a while since I’ve been here but it’s definitely been a while since they’ve cleaned anything. I would think twice before you bring your children here. There’s too many places in town that take a whole lot better care of their facility I’ve already paid for my granddaughter to jump here, but it will be the last time.!! There’s absolutely no way this place has four people working right now on Sunday, May 25 and This Place!!! is this dirty and it’s only 120 in the afternoon. Yeah definitely last time I’m here.

Had talked to a manager who gave me permission to do a Pizza Party. When I came back had multiple sassy rude ladies tell me that we couldn't have our outside food or drink. After telling them the manager okayed it. They were still rude and acted like I was a kid. So you lost our business for good. Not to mention by pictures you see them allowing others to have their outside stuff, but wanted to snip at me. I came to celebrate Step parent adoption and these ladies ruined it.

Mostly enjoyable and affordable, however there is some needed maintenance and upkeep.

My first time having a birthday party here. My party host, Mariah, was amazing! She tended to our every need and ensured we had the best party. We rented a table for the party which went well on super bowl Sunday, as there were no other parties there. I think if I were to have another party there I would get the room, to keep things a little more separate from other groups. Great time for all the kids (and adults).

Half of the staff had called off sick so there were a couple of the largest games were not available for my grandson to play on. The place was definitely not clean!. Bring hand sanitizer! The fee to get in I thought was reasonable but you have to buy gripping socks from them and then for all the "arcade area" you need to purchase a "money card". The least amount that you can purchase is $15.00 which doesn't last very long since these games are expensive. They are in need of repair on several of the areas the kids play. There are supposed to be several lights running along the platforms as the kids run up then try and ring the cowbell that of course don't ring as the inside ringer piece is no longer in the bell. So after all is said and done including a drink for the 3 of us cost right around $45 for 2 hours! I made my grandson take a shower when we got back home because of the filth and of course the perspiration from trying to ring the cowbell. When my other grandchildren come to visit we will find other recreation for them.

I just had my son's birthday party here and it was an amazing experience. They took such great care of us that it felt like we were working with family and friends. Our host, Isaiah, was very accommodating to our needs and went beyond what we expected. He even hand drew Mario for my son and genuinely consoled him when he got frustrated when his Mario balloon popped. His assistant Leonard also helped and transformed the room into an amazing Mario themed space. They pay attention to every detail and relieved us of any stress that came with planning such an event. Their warmth has made a lasting impact on my son, my family, his friends and their families. They were very attentive to the kids and they really care about making sure they have the best experience. I would definitely return for future events.

Garden of the Gods! So glad we booked the Jeep Tour, because it gave us a little taste of everything, plus some history of the area. We’d shown up an hour early (thanks to overestimating our grocery run 😬), so our guide (Prairie Dog) offered to start ahead of schedule. That ended up being perfect to miss the rain. Prairie Dog also happens to be a professional photographer and took lots of amazing photos of me and my husband. 10/10!

I had a great trip/tour with "Sketch". We started on time and our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. I was so grateful to have a safe driver to scale the roadways to Pikes Peak. Sketch knew the roadways well. As we were going up, about 50 old Porsche Speedsters were coming down. It was quite the sight to hear & see. The weather uptop was much colder/windy. Our guide reminded us frequently to hydrate and to fill our lungs with air. Sketch gave us a great tour around town. He knew lots of history about the town, people, and buildings. We went to the Garden of the Gods and got a quick tour through there. It was very pretty and we got lucky - it wasn’t crowded. Highly recommend this tour group. We felt safe and well cared for. Thank you.

Our excellent experience started in the Garden of the Gods visitor center where we booked our excursion. There was no tour available at the time we wanted the following day, so they created one just for us. We lucked out and got a private Jeep tour with Cougar. Let me just tell you that he was excellent. First off, he had snacks, water, blankets, gloves, and waterproof jackets so we'd have everything we needed for the cold summit, no matter the weather. He knew so much about pikes peak and its racing history that it kept my car enthusiast husband enthrawled for the whole trip. Cougar also kept the conversation and jokes coming to entertain my two kids. And when my daughter got a little car sick on the way down, he took great care of her, going nice and slow and stopping whenever and for however long she needed. He was also very patient with me and all my photos, being sure to point out when a good photo op was upcoming and going nice and slowly or stopping so that I could get the shot. We will absolutely come back to do more tours in the future if we are back in town (their off-road options sound so fun) and we will specifically request Cougar as our guide. Thanks for a great time!

I wanted to get to Pikes Peak but my husband wasn’t too sure about making the drive himself so I booked us a 4 hour trip to the summit and then to Garden of the Gods. It was an absolute blast full of laughter and learning!! Our guide “Axe Man” is a local and shared so much about the history of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. We had a beautiful day and saw mountain goats and adorable marmots. I live in FL, pretty much at sea level so reaching the summit of the peak is like stepping out into a different world, I was so lightheaded and woozy from the fact there is less oxygen at the top, I think he said 28% less. The landscape is amazing, the views of the CO plains are inspiring and seeing the Continental Divide mesmerizing. In this time of political turmoil I found a greater appreciation for America the beautiful. Definitely a must do experience as you can sit back and relax, enjoying our beautiful country and not worry about the harrowing roadways to get there. (My husband admits he would not have made it up the mountain if he was driving nor would I as I am afraid of heights!) Highly recommend Adventures Out West!!! And will travel with them again if we head back to CO for another vacation!!!

I did a jeep tour back in April and had the best time with Lobo as my guide. I decided to come back in October with my best friend and we did zip lining. Wouldn’t you know, it was also the best time with Elle and Dom as our guides (and Ben and Aiden were also super nice and friendly!) We wanted to do hot air balloon but was too windy, but that just means we’ll have to come back because clearly they hire the best people.

The morning spent with .Cougar will be one of the most amazing days spent in our lifetime. Prompt, efficient, fun and so informative, Adventures out West provided us with ease of enjoying God’s creation on a spectacular day. Thank you team for sharing with these Florida natives the beauty of Gardens of the Gods, and Pikes Peak. We recommend to do it this way with a private tour. He covered it all and kept us safe and comfortable. Thank YOU AOW!

They were awesome and the family night experience was perfect for our family with younger kids 6 and 8. It was my daughter’s first time to zip line and she loved it. The lines are great and for family night it is 2 separate lines you can do multiple times. The fireplace s’mores were great even for our family who hung out and watched us and didn’t zip. The staff were great and we would highly recommend for the price.

WOW!!! What amazing experience for my son's 12th birthday party. He's already planning on doing it again for his next birthday. The adults and kids had so much fun. Way better experience than indoor laser tag. The games were perfect and entertaining, and Victor was so helpful and very nice. We will definitely be back!

I cannot express how amazing our experience with Battlefield Colorado was! I work for a large Home Remodeling Company and we often treat our people to activities and outings that are, not only FUN, but also cultivate team building opportunities. I am happy to say that Battlefield Colorado did both!! Not only were we challenged with several different games, but we really had to adapt to so many different communication styles within our group! I personally had never participated in an outdoor laser tag experience before, and I was beyond excited to try it out and ULTIMATELY I was hooked from the first step onto the field! Battlefield Colorado provided such a unique element to our outing and it really elevated our experience, so much so, that I am already planning another event with Victor for a different group in our office! If you are looking for something different, engaging, and memorable, then Battlefield Colorado is the way to go!

Great outdoor laser tag! We had a group of 8 kids that played together and it was their first time there. There were about 20 people there (10 on each team). Two younger teenage kids were running it, but they did a good job. The equipment was good quality and well maintained, and the arena provided good cover to hid behind but no shade, so it got pretty hot out there. Water is available, but it's $2 a bottle, so you might want to bring your own. They played 9 games and each game had a different theme / objective. The kids all had a blast and want to go back again soon. The games last for an hour and a half and we payed $26 per person.

Excellent place to take coworkers, friends and family. It's not your 1950's Lazer tag it's outdoors lots of running around, a great way to get exhausted from running around the field playing all the different variations of Lazer tag.

Absolutely amazing time today! The team was so great with our kiddos. We had 8-14 year olds playing & they were so patient & helpful. The games they played were awesome! As a parent not playing I had such a fun time watching all the fun they had. Absolutely worth going to!! We will be back! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

This place is great! We just had a youth event here and it went so well. Plenty of games to keep everyone interested and it’s great for kids and adults! The owner, Victor, and his son, Josh, were fantastic to work with. They run a really great course. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I visited the welcome center for the first time and loved it. I grew up listening to Adventures in Odyssey and now my sons listens! We had a blast exploring and I look forward to coming again!

As long as you're not a full-blown Atheist, I imagine you could have an enjoyable time here. Of course, Atheists are welcomed; my point is simply that God is integrated into the entire experience. If you don't want to respect people of faith, then this isn't the place for you. During our visit, we saw either an Amish or Mennonite family (sorry, I can't tell the difference by just a glace 😬,) as well as a family of Orthodox Jews and plently of Evangelical Christians. So the cool thing is, even if you're not religious, you can see those of various backgrounds and faiths. I imagine this is the case because the Focus on the Family Center is world-renowned. Adventures in Odyssey is a Christian-themed indoor play center for kids. There's a scavenger hunt, stage, jungle gym, huge slide, airplane, and other fun rooms to explore. It's free, it's indoors, and the adjoining café has extremely decent prices. Those factors make this the perfect place, in my mind, to take young kids to if it's too hot/cold/windy outside and they just need to get out some energy.

We stopped here while traveling so our 15mo old could stretch her legs. She had so so much fun. Loved the different themed rooms and atmosphere of this place. I loved that there were things for her to climb on in the 0-4 year room. The puppets were also a huge hit.

Interesting to learn about the history of Focus on the Family. Amazing children's area with recreations of the Radio Show Adventures in Odyssey. You can even get ice cream at Whit's End Soda and Ice Cream Shop.

Such a fun place for the kids and it’s free. The ice cream shop was so fun and yummy. We had a blast.

I love it! I've gone twice; once a few years ago and once this summer. It's not super overwhelming, you can do as much or as little as you want. The "kids" areas are also fun for teens who want to be kids again. The bookstore is great and has something for everyone! When I went with family, we did the kids radio thing and our episode turned out great!

This was only the second escape room I have ever done and now understand the escape room craze! It was incredibly fun, it was challenging but not frustrating, and the game mechanics were awesome. Felt very welcomed from the beginning and top notch cimeatics with the room intro video. Everyone in the group really enjoyed the inventor's room game and we escaped with less than 5 minutes! Highly recommended and will be back!

Really awesome room! Unique puzzles that require use of the whole room, which encourages team work keeping the game exciting and engaging for everyone. And since this facility is in a home the room had windows; perfect for people who might be a little claustrophobic but still want to try an escape room. Clues we received were helpfully enough to push us in the right direction without giving away the answer entirely.

Nice and friendly staff. Parking was a bit tight. Room where we were put up was clean. An existing house was converted into this game area where I believe they had 4 different game areas. We had booked for an hour and got timely clues when we waived our hands in front of the camera. All the electromechanical systems were solid and worked well. The mystery was well thought out and it was a lot of fun.

Super fun and we escaped! We did the most difficult room they had which was "Inventor's Workshop", definitely needed all the hints it was quite difficult but awesome! The room was put together really well, and in a cute older house south downtown Colorado Springs. I would highly recommend!

We had our son's eighth birthday party at Greatest Escape. It was a blast. They set the room up well for eight 8 year olds and provided just enough clues/hints to help them along. The staff was fantastic. We also used the upstairs room for cake/pizza/gifts. When the "escape" was over, all the kids were super excited and wanted to do it again! The only thing we regretted was our son got to do it before us! We'll definitely be going back for a date night - it is very cool. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable experience both times we went. I would highly recommend these rooms for creativity and thoughtfulness of the design. We are planning on going back to experience the last room. The staff was very friendly and made for a truly fun escape room. Or favorite room so far was the mining experience with Sourdough Joe and his missing fortune. Highly recommended

Got out with 2.5 mins to spare!!! ;My husband and I went here for our Anniversary and this was such an amazing experience. This was our very first escape room and were partnered with another group for the same room. I thought this would be a bad thing, but loan and behold, it was the best thing. We started out doing our own thing, but ended up working very well as a team. The lady on 9/9/17 at 12, was such a sweetheart and made it so exciting and definitely set the tone for the room. I can't wait to go back and try the other room/s. DEFINITELY a fun place to go

Servers in shops are friendly. More choices for souvenirs at here than the gift shops at the place of interest. Parking can be a problem when there is an event at Old Colorado City. You may need to find a private parking lot because the public one will be full.

OMG! It is a beautiful long long street filled with small gift shops, each one has something different. There are small side streets with shops on them to. There are a few restaurants, you will have to be the judge of these. Couple of bars. There's a candy store...it's expensive, but you will not want to leave it and you will have a hard time deciding what you want because, you will want it all! Parking is by meter, and the meter person is checking, boy is she checking! A lot of walking is involved if you plan on hitting everything. Before you hit this area on both ends are beautiful old Big homes. You will enjoy the atmosphere even if you don't buy anything!

My husband and I spent two afternoons here casually walking through the shops. Eating dinner at Sopra’s on the patio which was very nice. Stopping at the pub for a pint, etc. Unfortunately, when I needed a restroom there were no public restrooms available. By the time I got to the park the doors were locked! I needed to go to the bathroom so bad that I had to use one of the disgusting satellites at the park. They were full and gross. I understand why the restrooms were locked as there are many homeless people getting ready to hunker down at the park for the evening. Old Colorado City needs to do something to improve this issue if they want to keep/improve tourism for this area. Yes, it is not a “full day” experience, but it’s perfect for an afternoon, finishing with dinner in one of the many restaurants. Just know when you go that you have no access to a clean public bathroom like you do in Manitou Springs.

I have lived in OCC for three years and have found the people very friendly . I especially like the Crafters that surround the Old Colorado History Museum during the summer when the City Market is taking place..

I spent almost an hour here and I had an okay time. It's a little too touristy for my tastes. Lots better places nearby to spend your afternoon.

Nice, quaint, friendly shops. Mostly reasonably priced. Easy walking. Great for gifts as well as finding that special item you can't find in the big stores.

This is a beautiful place to stop on the way to some great trails up the road, or make it you starting point. The drama varies greatly depending on the recent rain or spring melt. The best thing is that you literally have a great view from the parking lot. It’s great if you have anyone that has mobility issues since it’s a 30 foot walk from the handicap spaces. The immediate trail to the top is steep, but it’s short and plenty more to explore beyond the falls.

Fun to hike up with beautiful views at the top. My four year old was able to hike up no problem, and my one year old made it almost to the top with little assistance. There is one spot to stop and rest near the top. Some steps were slippery. Bathrooms are available at the falls. The trail is dog-friendly.

Visiting Helen Hunt Falls was one of the highlights of my trip to Colorado Springs! The short hike to the waterfall is peaceful and beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush forest and scenic mountain views. The sound of the rushing water is so calming, and there’s even a small bridge where you can take amazing photos. It’s an easy, family-friendly spot that feels incredibly refreshing, especially on a warm day. I loved how close it is to the city yet it feels like a hidden natural escape.

We come here once a week and enjoy the beauty of the waterfall and the forest. There are trails to hike and places to pull along side the road to catch a view. The waterfall is at the top with parking and a potty. A serene place to gather your thoughts and enjoy nature.

Bring your family here - a handful of parking spaces, serene view, beautiful waterfalls - we also took several photos down the brook, where the parking spaces begin … 🥰 We even saw hummingbirds (I think they were hummingbirds! 🧐) There was another waterfall - a little more ways up the trail but we didn’t get there - the precious ones wanted to go home 🤪 Check out this place when visiting Colorado Springs area .. 🥰 What a gift from Jesus!

I’ve been hiking in Cheyenne Canyon before and it’s been lovely, but this was my first time rock climbing here! I came here with my fellow camp counselors from Go West Camps to train for the summer. The only downside to rock climbing here is that the path that you’ll be hiking up and standing on to belay the climbers is uneven, steep and gravelly. So maybe not the easiest place to rock climb when you’re first starting out.

It’s a beautiful and easy hike, good for kids. There’s a nice and fun nature center. However beware there is poison ivy all over near the parking lot and on the trails.

The lady who works this location is super sweet and lovely. It is a free park with gorgeous trails and opportunity to see wildlife!

Beautiful location for a short walk and splash in the stream. Water was extremely cold.

My favorite is when you first pull up to the Y in the road, to your left is a little creek I love putting my feet in.

Cool little stop if your in the area of Broadmoor Falls. Nice nature walk and information with birds and animals

Many trails around this park and the park itself has some nice paths. Some near water others look more like the desert. I've done several of the trails, some a few times and all have been nice and different.
