Scenic spot
Heisler Park is a picturesque coastal park located above the bluffs, offering stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and access to four Laguna beaches. The park features artistic park benches, sculptures, and a waterfront pathway lined with grassy spaces, palm trees, and wildflowers. Visitors can enjoy the ocean views from various vantage points along the walking trails and explore rocky shores and tide pools.
One of the most beautiful and romantic parks in the west Coast. Clean with so much pristine cliff side landscape and perfect beaches. Blissfully beautiful and unlike any other beach in southern California!

Heisler Park is my new favorite beach to visit. Lots of parking, restrooms, seating, grass and tables for a picnic and it has a ramp straight down to the beach for wheel chair access. ♿️👍I've gone twice this week and Im planning to bring more with me next time so I can camp a little longer.

Thank you for this beautiful place. Every year we come here and enjoy. The care is great as the view. Truly a treasure.
Cheri P — Google review
Great place to go visit. The drive getting there was pretty cool itself. Nice scenery and lots of houses on the hills. Not too crowded and parking was easily available at a very low cost. Didn't spend too much time there but it was worth the trip for sure.
Vimal P — Google review
Heisler Park in Laguna Beach is a beautifully maintained coastal gem that captures the spirit of Southern California’s shoreline. With its sweeping ocean views, art installations, and carefully landscaped walkways, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and relaxation. The sunsets are truly breathtaking, making it an ideal spot for photography, peaceful walks, or a quiet moment above the waves. If you’re visiting Laguna Beach, Heisler Park is a place not to be missed,it perfectly represents the charm and serenity that make this area so special.

It's beautiful here however, my son has Down Syndrome and suffers from depth perception and gets over stimulated. These steps almost sent him to the hospital. Let's just say it WAS NOT FUN! Next time we'll go to the parking lot with the tunnel. They even had a wheelchair for the sand. It was a good day but yeah, next time we'll go somewhere else.
Cinnamon M — Google review
This park is stunning! The views are absolutely breathtaking! Very walkable and peaceful. Clean restrooms. Impeccably maintained!
Angela M — Google review
Heisler Park is an absolute must-visit if you're in Laguna Beach! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The meticulously maintained pathways wind through lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and unique art installations, making every stroll a visual delight. There are plenty of benches strategically placed to soak in the incredible scenery, perfect for a peaceful moment of reflection or simply enjoying the fresh sea air. We loved watching the waves crash against the rocks below and even spotted some dolphins playing in the distance! Parking can be a bit tricky, especially on weekends, but it's well worth the effort. The park feels safe, clean, and incredibly well-cared for. It's a fantastic spot for a leisurely walk, a picnic with a view, or just escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Heisler Park truly captures the beauty and charm of the California coastline. We can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend!

Californian restaurant
Las Brisas is a Mexican seafood restaurant and brunch spot known for its ocean views and outdoor patio. It is perched high above the beach's promenade, offering a menu specializing in seafood-focused Mexican fare and breakfast. The restaurant offers standout dishes such as the crab omelet, smoked salmon tostadas, and lobster eggs Benedict.
We went to Las Brisas for lunch and had a really great time! The view is absolutely incredible—honestly, probably the best ocean view we’ve experienced at any restaurant in Laguna Beach. It’s such a beautiful spot, and it’s right next to a lovely rose garden which adds to the whole experience. The food is Mexican-influenced—nothing too impressive taste-wise, but still decent. That said, the atmosphere, the service, and that view totally make up for it. I’m giving it five stars for the overall vibe. Perfect place if you’re looking for a scenic, relaxing lunch spot.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience… our server did an awesome job checked up on us regularly and was very friendly I wish I could remember his name he went as far to help me push my chair in and other guests… just a kind person. All of the staff seemed kind just a great atmosphere overall people make you feel welcomed. And the food did not take long we started with a charcuterie board appetizer and that easy delicious!! Only complaint the bread was crunchy which I don’t prefer but the food was all great I got the poke bowl appetizer as a meal but the portion was large. The view was great. Thank you guys !

What a great place to celebrate a birthday! The ambiance is so lovely! We sat inside with beautiful views of the ocean. Outside seating is also available, with heat lamps. I would say service was excellent. Food presentation was beautiful. But the only complaint I had was that my roast chicken, one piece came to me lukewarm and the other piece was not even warm. That was quite a disappointment. Everything else was really great. They even served a cheesecake slice to celebrate the birthday. For 3 people we spent about $250, with tip, $300 (2 appetizers, 1 alcoholic drink, 3 main entrees). Also, there is valet service if you can't find street parking.
Beena M — Google review
We wanted a nice lunch with an Ocean view. Las Brisas was recommended and it met the criteria. We were seated outside with minimal weight and a nice view of the ocean. Service was prompt. We ordered the “table side guacamole “ which was not prepared table side “as you like it” with no explanation of why not. A point off for that. The margaritas were fresh tasting and nicely garnished. A “zero proof” mocktail had great grapefruit flavor and a dried grapefruit garnish. Lunch was mushroom tacos for one of us, a salad with salmon for me, and 3 sides for our third. Glazed carrots, beautiful baby carrots with the tops, honied and spicy, and rice and beans. The tacos were served on blue corn tortillas, obviously homemade and delicious. The salad was fresh and good, with about a 4 oz piece of salmon. Reasonable for the price. Overall a great lunch, upscale treat in a gorgeous spot.
Guilderlandguy — Google review
Las Brisas in Laguna was a full-on experience. We came with a big group to celebrate my business partner’s birthday and not one person had a bad thing to say about the flavor of the food. We were all starving to begin with, so when the tortilla chips, salsa, and bean dip hit the table, it was game over. I’m not even exaggerating when I say the salsa and bean dip stole the show. We kept ordering more because it was just that good and addictive. I ordered the mole enchiladas and the flavor was right on. Rich, bold mole with a nice creamy topping and a little sprinkle of something crunchy on top that added texture. My only real complaint was the portion size for the price. For around forty bucks, I expected something a little more filling. A few others in our group felt the same with their entrees like the shrimp dish and ahi tuna. Flavor was there, just not enough food. One friend ordered the short ribs and those were a big win. He was stoked with how tender they were and how well the sauce came through. All that said, the view here is absolutely unmatched. You are right there with the waves crashing in the background and that perfect ocean breeze. The ambiance alone makes this a spot worth checking out, especially for a celebration or date night. Just be ready to spend and maybe grab dessert somewhere after if you’re still hungry.
Mitchell N — Google review
Outstanding dining experience overall. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time and requesting outdoor, ocean-view dining. All of the food that I tried was fantastic: chips & guac, charcuterie, shrimp cocktail. The service was great, and the view was phenomenal. Valet parking is $10, and metered parking across the street is pretty cheap. You can exit the back of the restaurant and take a walk along the beach or to nearby gift shops.
Jen N — Google review
Food was good- selectively, I liked my partners food more than mine which is a no brainer. Although charcuterie board was a little small for the price it was enjoyable, worth the buck for the experience and ambience. Customer service was great too, overall not too bad experience, it's a nice restaurant with a good view of the ocean.
Dj E — Google review
Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Parking was a bit of a hassle—paid street parking only, and I had to park quite far and walk. The menu itself felt pretty average, nothing that really stood out. That said, the service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere made up for it. Loved the seating with a beautiful view of Laguna Beach—great spot to just sit back and enjoy the view.

Coffee shop

Urth Caffe is the realization of a dream that began over 30 years ago, when Jilla and Shallom Berkman met a passionate Peruvian coffee farmer named Jorge. The cafe serves fresh, responsibly grown organic heirloom coffee and hand-blended fine organic teas in an upscale environment. It's a local favorite for its health-conscious food, pastries, and charming garden patio with views of the Laguna Art Museum.
Urth Caffé in Laguna Beach has a beautiful, laid-back vibe with great outdoor seating and ocean air. We ordered the **avocado pizza**, **honey vanilla latte**, and **pistachio latte** — everything was fresh and flavorful. The avocado pizza was light but satisfying, and both lattes were smooth and unique (the pistachio milk really stands out!). The café does get very busy, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours. Staff were friendly, but service was a little slow. Prices are on the higher side, but you’re paying for quality ingredients and the coastal location. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxed brunch or coffee break. Would definitely come back!
Akshara T — Google review
I had a chicken sandwich with cilantro and pesto it was good, though not perfect. I also ordered a pistachio coffee; it was nice but a bit too sweet. Overall, I liked the place for a first visit. It was definitely worth trying at least once.

I really wanted to love this place - I got the chocolate/pistachio croissant, it was alright. The matcha was really good. But if you want to sit outside, be prepared to be SWARMED by birds. Within 2 minutes of me sitting outside, a pigeon landed on my actual plate of food. So safe to say I immediately left, without getting to eat the rest of my meal. (I have a major fear of birds) - and everyone around me was experiencing the same thing. - the staff was friendly, but def didn’t seem phased by this.

Professional Greeters , staff know the menu very well , they handled large groups quickly, service and food servers were quick and polite and very well spoken English and Spanish. Very respectful! Food was excellent and coffee was the best I’ve had in Southern California. A really great LA experience in the Arts District and Laguna Beach !

An exceptional experience. The food, location, and service are truly outstanding. If you’re visiting Laguna Beach, be sure to visit Urth Caffé to enjoy a freshly made sandwich and juice. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality and atmosphere.

I went around noon, and it was a bit busy — I had to wait about 20 minutes to order. Both indoor and outdoor seating were available. The atmosphere was warm and pleasant. The cappuccino and marble cake were delicious!
Mah M — Google review
Great Location, but Limited Selection and a Bit of a Wait Urth Caffé in Laguna Beach has a beautiful setting and a lot of potential—perfect for a coastal coffee break or dessert run. I stopped by craving a scone and something sweet to go, but was disappointed by the limited selection in the bakery case. The café was pretty busy, and while the staff was doing their best, the wait time was longer than I expected. After standing in line for a while and not seeing what I came for, I ended up leaving without ordering. I’ve had great experiences at other Urth locations, so I’d give this one another try—but next time I’ll come with more patience and a backup plan.
Dan C — Google review
I go to Urth Caffe weekly for pastries and I love everything about this place. They are friendly and helpful and the baked goods are out of this world and so is their Italian cappuccino! We love sitting on the patio on the weekend occasionally and there is no place like it for a casual meal as it is fun and great people watching. I have not tried everything on the menu but their breakfasts and salads are wonderful.

Restaurant
The Royal Hawaiian is a historic tiki bar that has recently undergone a complete makeover, transforming it into a lively venue serving rum cocktails and Hawaiian food. The interior exudes tropical vibes with its pufferfish lamps, palm fronds, and bamboo torches. It's known for its delicious tropical cocktails and solid food, making it a fun spot for a night out in Laguna.
1st time here. Really nice atmosphere- tiki bar. Food was fantastic. Bartenders were also the servers. They knew it was my birthday so they sang happy birthday and was going to give me a free desert but I was to full. I got there at happy hour. ordered the Spring veg rolls- they were delicious took some home along with the main entree which was Pineapple Curry Rice. It had a type of pork/shrimp, peas, and scallions cut into a pineapple. Very tasty. Would go back when Im back in Laguna Beach, CA.
JoAnn S — Google review
I really wanted to love this place. The menu looked great and the vibe was super fun and kitschy—I was totally feeling it when we walked in. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t friendly either, and it was oddly slow given how empty the restaurant was. I ordered the ribeye steak with macaroni salad and a green salad. The steak was a big letdown—tough, not great quality, and the teriyaki sauce didn’t help. The macaroni salad also lacked flavor. My wife and kids weren’t thrilled with their meals either. We tried to salvage the night with dessert and ordered the coconut cake, but even that fell flat—it tasted old, and between the four of us, we didn’t finish it. The atmosphere had potential, but the food and overall experience just didn’t deliver. Disappointing.
Lonney G — Google review
Would be 5/5 stars if the drinks were not $19. Would have been 4/5 without the weirdly predatory photo experince. After tax and tip included its ~22 a drink. I would not recommend visiting off happy hour - when the prices are more reasonable. Only the Mai Thai is on the happy hour for drinks tho. The happy hour food was good, but with 3 drinks total, 2 appetizers, and 1 meal off happy hour we still spent over $110. Further, they asked us to take a picture at the front which was cute then brought it in frames to our table and pushed it really hard on us. $20 for a per photo in a cheap frame… then they asked for a tip on the checkout of the photo starting at 20%! It felt gross and ruined the whole vibe of the place. Great esthetic and the drinks tasted great, but the price and photo experience were a big turn off. If you are a tiki bar person like me, worth a single visit but be warned on cost

Top place in laguna. Food, service and ambience are incredible. It had been amazed by each dish. After visit this place I’ll be frustrated because we don’t have this place in Spain.
Enrique C — Google review
we got the spam masubi, chicken dumplings, and hulu hulu chicken with macaroni salad and garlic rice. the spam masubi was the best food item we had, but it wasn’t anything special. the dumplings were fine also but not something i’d order again, the chicken was dry and lacked flavor, the sides were unremarkable. the best part of our meal was the pina colada, that’s why it got a 3 and not a 2. probably won’t come back but i will say our service was amazing!!
Madeleine P — Google review
Very few places get a triple 5 star rating, and this is one of them. The food is fantastic, the service staff is great from the bartenders, wait staff, management, and the cook! The atmosphere is quintessential classic tiki bar and it delivers on all other points too. Definitely worth a visit, and you're likely to get hooked!
Ryan D — Google review
Visited for lunch and loved it. Wonderful cocktails and food, classy tropical ambience, great service. Wish I lived closer!
Debbie S — Google review
The reviews were mixed but the atmosphere is a 10 on 10. The food was good. We ordered the spam fries which were good and garlic shrimp noodles. They needed some salt which we requested at the table. A cool place of Laguna Beach history since it opened in 1947

New American restaurant
Broadway by Amar Santana is a popular restaurant in Laguna Beach, known for its seasonal New American small plates and industrial New York-themed decor. The menu, curated by award-winning Top Chef Amar Santana, features modern American cuisine with a focus on seasonal flavors and ingredients. Dishes like blue crab salad, braised beef cheek mole, and artisan cheese plates showcase the chef's beautiful plating techniques and global culinary influences.
If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience in Laguna Beach, look no further than Broadway by Amar Santana. This upscale restaurant offers a harmonious blend of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a standout choice for discerning diners. The meal commenced with appetizers that set a high bar. The yellowtail sashimi was fresh and delicate, while the roasted bone marrow was a revelation rich and flavorful, perfectly complemented by its accompaniments. For the main courses, the prime skirt steak was cooked to perfection, boasting a savory caramelized onion jus that enhanced its robust flavor. The lamb shank exceeded expectations, tender and succulent, showcasing the chef's mastery in preparation. Concluding the meal, the Dubai chocolate bar dessert was a decadent treat, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and richness that left a lasting impression. The restaurant's ambiance is both elegant and inviting, with a modern design that doesn't overshadow the warmth of the dining experience. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing service that was both professional and personable.

The food was good ($40-60), the service was decent, cocktails were just ok ($18), the atmosphere was loud. Overall I had a good time - but for ~$250 for two people - I expect to be blown away, not just have a decent time. FYI on the 3% service charge baked into the subtotal your tip is on top of. I would recommend someone to visit once to give it a try but for $250 I’ll be visiting other spots on return visits to the Laguna area.

Amazingly & Perfectly Prepared Food Like None Other By Far!! Our waitress Veronica crushed it. We celebrated my sister’s birthday in the best way possible at the best place possible. A must try
Shahin F — Google review
Food was overall good. The duck confit and egg yolk ravioli were to die for. The Spanish octopus was very fishy unfortunately(maybe not fresh). Filet mignon was good but not medium rare like we requested. We ordered Oh Beehive for dessert, which tastes like a mildly sweet cheesecake with meringue on top. It was pretty basic so I wouldn’t get it again. BUT the honey ice cream that accompanied the cake was heavenly. Cocktails - they weren’t bad but they were one note. For the price, I was expecting a bit more flavor. Our server was amazing. And the hostess always able to squeeze us in on a Saturday night without a reservation. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more!
Diana N — Google review
My fiancé picked this restaurant for our engagement last night. No doubt about the food, it’s fantastic. The beef cheek molé was as good as it could’ve been, and the pork chop steak was the perfect texture I wanted it to be. But the service, we waited to see a server for 5min and got waters after 15min, then waited 40min to get our starters… I understand they are really busy but i think they should not accept this many reservations if they can’t manage it properly. This wasn’t the horrible experience but if you go to those type of restaurants, they expect more than this.
Keumdal J — Google review
We visited this Top Chef restaurant during our stay in Laguna. We truly enjoyed the service and meal. We did have a reservation. The octopus was delicious and prepared perfectly. The Branzeni come servrve on a platter with no head or tail and sliced through the middle so its easy to eat and share. This was also delicious although not the best we've ever had. For dessert we had the Beehive. It was so unique and wonderful..the outer layer of merengue was very subtle and then you have this lemon layer and in the middle a goat cheese. We ate every bite of it. Our server also recommended the Banana cake dessert but we ended up taking that home because we were so full. Their cocktails were excellent. They gave us a coconut rice pudding as well which was so delicious.
Shannon R — Google review
Unfortunately not a good experience overall. Spanish octopus did not have enough flavor and was burnt rather than charred. It could have benefitted from a marinate prior to being prepared. The dish also lacked cohesion. While the black olive yogurt was delicious, it did not fit on the plate and distracted from the rest of the dish. The pork chop was overcooked and dry, however the mostarda was very good. The braised beans lacked a big pinch of salt. The fillet mignons were well cooked but did not brine for long enough - the salt did not penetrate into the meat and the inside of the steak was unseasoned. The dessert was too sweet and did not have any creativity in it. Service was good, but overeager. They also add a 3% surcharge due to "California" that you have to ask to be removed from the bill. The atmosphere was too loud and cramped, but it did have nice decor.

Crystal Cove State Park, located between Newport and Laguna Beaches in Orange County, California, offers a 3.2-mile beach with sandy coves and tide pools. The park spans 2,400 acres of land for hiking and biking, providing well-marked walking trails along chaparral-covered bluffs.
The perfect day trip from LA! We took the boardwalk trail which is surrounded by gorgeous flowers this time of year. Lots of look out points and benches to sit down and take in the cliff side views. The trail takes you down to the beach where you can find countless tide pools! Further down the beach there are multiple restaurants, the visitors center and of course gorgeous coastline. A nature lovers paradise!

If you’re in Newport Beach, this is worth a visit! Amazing views and not very much crowding. Be prepared to walk up and down steep trails to get to the beach. Beautiful scenery

We love this State park. Make sure to go at Low tide so you can enjoy the many tide pools. We have found some cool things in them from Lobsters and an Octopus once. The walk on the beach is awesome from pelican point south to Beachcombers and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the beach. But make reservations or it’s an hour wait. The walking trails are awesome overlooking the ocean.

Crystal Cove State Park is absolutely stunning! From the moment you arrive, the views of the ocean and coastline take your breath away. The hiking trails are well-maintained and offer a mix of easy strolls and more challenging climbs, all with incredible scenic overlooks. Walking along the beach, especially at low tide, reveals tide pools full of fascinating sea life. The beach itself is pristine, with soft sand, clear blue water, and plenty of rocky areas for kids and adults to explore. There are several access points and parking lots, making it convenient to find a spot. The visitor center is helpful and welcoming, and the bathrooms are clean, definitely a plus! We enjoyed stopping at the nearby restaurants along the beach for a meal while soaking in the ocean views. Whether you’re hiking, exploring tide pools, or just relaxing by the water, Crystal Cove is the perfect getaway. Highly recommend bringing a camera. The sunsets here are unforgettable!

what to expect: follow your GPS to the location. It tells you where the state park is only to be stopped by a passive aggressive security guard who pointed out that there was a stop sign behind the tree. The guard will become a little nicer and then point out that there is parking across the street for a mere $15 but there is a shuttle. He fails to tell you that the shuttle cost two dollars each way so you take all of that and you eventually get down to a mediocre beach with a pretty good restaurant, not much else actually. There are some quaint houses that you can rent out and that seems appealing, but as far as the whole package is concerned, unless you’ve never been to the beach before, it is a pass.
Mark G — Google review
What great beach. $20 a day pass. Clean, blue water. Rocks to climb on. There are several paths to get down to the beach. Upon entering, make a left and park at the end of the lot. Take the paved path next to the bathrooms down to the water. Its still pretty steep. Kids had a blast.

I love to go to this place. I went super early and got to see the sunrise. Beach was not too crowded when I got there in the morning. Water was very clear and clean. I saw about six different species of fish swimming in the kelp/ sea grass and rock reef while snorkeling. Be prepared to walk down to the beach and uphill back to the parking lot but it's definitely worth it.

Absolutely Serene. I visited on a weekday. This place felt very open to our sky, ocean and natural world. Crystal Cove was not crowded with people. Good place for relaxation & recreation with a view. Pack a picnic lunch or find nearby park concessions. Purchase a California State Park Day or Multi-Day Pass. Enjoy this beauty and other California state beach parks on a day journey along the Pacific Coast Highway. Tip: The stairs leading to beach have an uneven surface and are a bit wonky to walk down. There is a walking ramp located nearby that is a more stable alternative to provide better footing, if needed.

Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna Beach offers stunning panoramic views of the ocean and a tide pool from its bluff. It's a popular spot for capturing breathtaking sunset photos, with the city bathed in golden light and the Pacific Ocean glistening below. This compact park features a large grassy knoll overlooking Crescent Bay, providing an ideal setting for a picnic while watching the sun dip into the aquamarine waters.
More of an overlook than a park, it’s still absolutely beautiful and worth going to. The views are incredible and it’s amazing places like this exist in the world.

Crescent Bay has been my favorite beach and the only beach I have taken my kids to for the past 20 years. My kids love looking at the sea urchins, small fish, crabs, etc when the tide is low. Parking can be somewhat of a pain at times but it's worth it!

What a great park! There’s a large, open lawn that’s perfect for laying back and relaxing, with southern-facing sunlight that lasts all the way until sunset. The park also features a scenic lookout point. It’s an ideal spot to unwind, take a break, and recharge.

It's a small but romantic park with gorgeous views. Limited street parking.

Our favorite beach when we visit California. Has a good spot to take pictures at sunset as well
Trent M — Google review
Highly recommend this place to wait for the sunset. We previously looked for other places, but this one close to the beach and easily accessible, I think it is the best in Laguna Beach.

Great beach coming here on our vacation. Kinda bummed it was overcast, but it was a nice, spacious beach, quick access from our hotel.
Nathan W — Google review
Wonderful park with wide sweeping views of the Pacific and Laguna Beach area. If you are quiet and patient enough you can see dolphins, whales, birds, and so much more. The water fountain to fill up bottles was helpful and parking along the curbs was great. We really enjoyed this spot in golden hour and got some amazing photos. Highly recommend.

The Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach is a long-standing event that has been supporting local artists for over 50 years. This renowned festival takes place over nine weeks during the summer, attracting more than 200,000 visitors annually. The festival features a handcrafted village with sawdust-covered streets and showcases various crafts such as ceramics and sculpture. Visitors can explore art booths featuring works by local high school students as well as pieces by established American artists.
I have wanted to come to this art festival since I can remember and I am just 30 minutes away. We went during the weekend day and to my surprise it was somewhat busy. They have two live bands playing every 15 minutes or so. They have tons of small art shops, each individually with its own artists 🎨 . We parked outside with paid parking. I paid $10 for 2 hours and 30 minutes, which I thought it wasn't that bad. They also have a food court. The food we ordered was good from Loco Taco; 3 tacos of carnitas and a strawberry 🍓 and banana 🍌 smoothie. We would definitely come back. Recommend for all ages.

The best art festival around. Outstanding art in a laid back approachable fun venue. Each booth is hand crafted out of wood amongst the trees, with wood chips on the ground. Live music enhance the joyful atmosphere along with outstanding eateries. Artists demo their work and there are lots of classes like pottery making along with live glass blowing. Lots of fun activities for children. Artists love sharing their craft and chatting with festival goers. It is a charming, joyful, energizing, must go festival for all ages. They even have a Christmas festival that is just as charming. I have been attending Sawdust for decades and thoroughly enjoy every time.

love going to art festivals and meeting the talented artists. The Sawdust Festival was very busy on the Sunday we went. Parking was really bad. It took us over half an hour to find parking and we parked quite far away. We purchased the tickets at the front. We went through the bag check and metal detectors without a hitch. It's really cute inside and I like how each stalls were decorated by the artists. I do find the prices a bit high but that was expected. We did buy a few small pieces during our visit. There were many seating areas scattered around and food options too.

Two of my girlfriends and I went to the Sawdust Art Festival because one of my friends wanted to buy two more pieces of jewelry from a vendor she had purchased jewelry from the week prior. We had such a great time. There were two live bands playing simultaneously in different locations for our entertainment. We had a bite to eat and some cocktails and listened to the music during our dinner. All of the different types of art was amazing and the artists were all very friendly when we had questions. It was a good happy relaxed vibe that day and my friends and I really enjoyed our time at the festival.

This place seems small but once inside, there’s a lot of stands selling all sorts of items. There’s clothing, pictures, glass, jewelry, 3D pictures, glass blowing and ceramic making. There are statues and displays around the area. They have live music that was fun to hear and eating areas to sit and enjoy. There’s even small water falls that are just lovely. It was very enjoyable. The parking area is small but you can park on the street for meter parking or a direct parking lot.

Nice atmosphere, it's peaceful and serene. Very talented artists. Good music. All in all, a great vibe! Recommended parking lots are very small. Street parking is metered. I would go again.

The admission is $12. I was doubting at the first time but it’s really worth it. Two live musics are going, eucalyptus trees are around you with very cool arts, glass art is going. Love their vibe🎶🎨

The Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach is a renowned annual event that showcases a diverse range of art forms, from traditional paintings to public installations. The festival's highlight is the Pageant of the Masters, where live costumed actors bring famous paintings to life in a 90-minute show known as tableaux vivants. This unique presentation features iconic works such as El Jaleo by John Singer and Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper.
13 of us had a very good time. The band was wonderful. We know we could bring a picnic and and your own wine! I'm going back next week for the full experience. 14x14x14 soft-sided ice chest. Have fun!

This is a MUST see during the summer months in Laguna Beach!! The Irvine bowl does NOT have a bad seat in the house. It is like a miniature Hollywood Bowl but with a much more quaint feeling. The trees surrounding the bowl is undeniably beautiful at night. Before you enter the bowl make sure you arrive early to visit the art show and talk to the artist. They are charming and excited to sell you their art work. The Pageant of the Masters has been running over 90 years and continues to impress and get more creative every year. It started in 1933 and recreates famous artists paintings, sculptors and statues in a three-dee form. This year was about visiting all the famous museums in California and bringing them to life. Binoculars are a MUST to see the details of each scene. You may buy, rent or bring your own. This is definitely a unique and beautiful experience well worth seeing. Unfortunately no cameras or cell phones are allowed. Eat before you go or bring your own in a 14x14x14 cooler with goodies and drinks to share. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!! A MUST!!!

ALWAYS WONDERFUL, ALWAYS MAGICAL!!! The Pageant of the Masters and Festival of Arts are annual must see events! A great escape from the summer heatwaves to cool ocean breezes and mild temperatures of Laguna Beach. My favorite artwork is the Junior Art Exhibit with juried artwork from grade school to high school age children. Was very happy to see this years entries were much more imaginative and creative once again versus the years after COVID lock downs. We have a whole days outing in Laguna Beach so we have time to see the art festivals (Festival of Arts, the Junior Art Exhibit, The Sawdust Festival) and enjoy a great meal by the beach before we head to the Pageant in the evening. Love how they show you what goes in to setting up a scene with a painting as they place models in their make-up and costumes, roll down the backdrop, and place props in. It's amazing to see the real magic happen when they light the set to create the mood and color palette of the artist, to make real people look like a part of the painting. Be sure to bring a blanket or jacket, seat cushions and binoculars if you have them. Temperatures really drop after sunset.

All I can say is WOW! What an incredibly talented production. I was amazed at everything from the music to the venue. Let alone the masterpieces themselves. You should definitely go!

Such a fun art festival and show ! Our family has made a tradition of going every year for decades now. We like to arrive early to enjoy the artisan booths prior to the show itself. We look forward to the different themes every year. This years’ was fantastic per usual! It is such an incredible mix of art and performance.
Kelly S — Google review
I attend the pageant every year for well over the past 10. I swear by last minute tickets and main tier left so you can get in and out easier. I always go mid August. The themes change and they have increasingly focused on more current (>1950s) and west coast art than in the past. Bring your own binoculars and plan for time before to walk around the exhibits. I usually park and eat by Lumberyard making a resi at 6pm. Occasionally there is parking available in the pricier lot on the right side just past theater. I just attended a music event and paid for the seats. With paid seats we had front and center about 3 rows back even at 445pm. Tables are for 4 or 6. It appears you can plan ahead and just pay the lower cost entrance fee but plan to arrive at opening which was 4 sharp - free tables and ampitheater seating is all first come. People brought full meals and many bottles of wine or alcohol in other containers. There is wine for purchase and possibly some concessions. I’d bring a table cloth and something to sit on as the wire seats were a bit uncomfortable after 3 hours. The night club seating is more like bistro seats. We also sat and mingled well after the concert and and had time to walk the exhibits in peace. Dancing happened to the far side of the stage. Most people stay seated.
Natasha F — Google review
Did the pageant masters, suggest more time to browse before the show. Also the closer center seating tickets the better. I just want to see the human factors involved and felt to far away we were left mid. There are themed events and music before the show. I need to go back cause I missed this. We came on a Monday evening. It was lovely with a slight chill in the air. As the orchestra brought out and highlighted the show beautifully. Bring a blanket, sweaters and maybe a snack!! Shuttle was easy, parking 5 bucks, we chose lot 16 for those with limited walking, this was doable distance about two football fields with rest in-between to get seated. Then you gotta return! So it can be smaller segments to walk if you plan ahead. I loved the featured artists works prior to the show. They were so interesting to talk to.

Nick's Laguna Beach is a popular eatery known for its airy and open atmosphere, serving up Californian comfort food like fried asparagus spears and blackened halibut. As one of four high-end restaurants in the area, Nick's is renowned for its commitment to innovative, high-quality cuisine and drinks. The restaurant offers distinctly southern Californian dishes that blend American and south-of-the-border flavors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You need reservations if you plan on visiting. I made reservations for dinner and was seated exactly on time. I had Spencer as my waiter and he was fantastic. For dinner I ordered the Chilean sea bass, and it was perfection!!!!! The peace of fish was beautiful and perfectly cooked, cut like butter. My mashed potatoes were good but a little bit cold, spinach was decent. For dessert, I got the warm butter cake and it was really good as well. The interior was very different than expected. The place is very small and loud on the inside. I ended up sitting outside and it was extremely loud due to the street traffic plus the restaurant noise. I was able to tune it out but this is not the environment for quiet/intimate conversations. Overall absolutely love the food and would visit here again.
Jenn R — Google review
I had the Chilean Sea Bass and let me start by saying the fish was cooked to perfection. It was so soft and flaky and not dry in the slightest. The potatoes and spinach were good too, but nothing terribly special. The portion size was on the smaller side too. I don't eat a lot, and even I could have eaten just a little more so I think most will be left wanting more. And the interior was nice but as others have mentioned it is small and gets loud. If this were purely a review of the quality of the food, I would give it 5 stars easily. But for those other factors I subtracted one star. Overall still a great experience!

I came here from DC, and this was the only place in Laguna Beach open until 11 PM! We had the chili pasta and crispy chicken. The pasta was incredible, flavorful with just the right amount of spice. I wasn’t a big fan of the crispy chicken served on bread, though. The atmosphere was nice but a bit noisy. Also, we didn’t have a reservation and just stopped by, ended up waiting about 45 minutes, so be prepared for a long wait if you come without booking ahead.
Fafa G — Google review
The restaurant is located across PCH from the beach. We made a reservation for 8:30am. Got there around 8:20, and there's already a line in front of us. It took a while to get the dishes we ordered. I think that's probably because the kitchen received too many orders at the same time. Anyway, food tastes great, and the service is prompt. This is a place worth visiting.

Food was great, on top of friendly service and warm atmosphere, our bill came up to almost or over $100 with 2 main dish, 1 appetizer which was the deviled eggs (chefs kiss) and 2 drinks. Pretty good restaurant for a casual/fine dining date too. It’s by a busy street although there’s parking structure 5 mins walk to the restaurant. Overall beautiful experience

Thank you so much to the Nick’s Laguna Beach team for making our first visit and birthday so special! We’re local to the area and always thought to stop in and it’s safe to say we will be coming back forever. Breakfast is amazing, we would recommend Omar’s Skillet for those that love savory. Coffee was always readily available, hot, and never “top off” neglected! Stephanie and our hostess were the absolute best!!! Come here for the great service, food, atmosphere. Parking is accessible at the garage behind.

My friend and I were doing a day trip to Laguna Beach, but we didn’t have a reservation at Nick’s. I had heard about it, so we decided to try our luck and check out the bar. We were able to find two seats next to each other after about ten minutes, and we were NOT disappointed by the food. It was all delicious. We got dirty martinis, the asparagus fries, the French dip, the kale and quinoa salad, and the butter cake. I would recommend every single thing we got. It was all cooked perfectly with delicious flavors. John and Diane took care of us, and they were both amazing too. It truly felt like old style customer service, which is so hard to come by. Im so glad this place lived up to its reputation! And get the potato salad as your side. Trust me.

I live in Atlanta but every time I’m in the Newport/Laguna area, this is my go to spot. It’s consistent, it’s amazing, and the service is impeccable. I wish we had restaurants like this in Atlanta! Thank you Nick’s for a yummy and high quality experience every time. They also have one of the best wine lists at a restaurant that I’ve ever seen without being crazy expensive.

Dessert shop

Gelato Paradiso is a cozy gelato and sorbet parlor offering a variety of inventive, seasonal flavors along with cakes, shakes, and other desserts. Established in 1999 with the aim of bringing the authentic Italian gelateria experience to California, Gelato Paradiso went on an importing frenzy to ensure that everything from recipes and ingredients to marble counters and artwork came directly from Italy.
A hidden gem just steps from the ocean! Creamy, authentic Italian gelato with rich flavors like pistachio, stracciatella, and mango sorbetto. Portions are generous, and the staff are friendly and happy to let you sample. Perfect treat after a beach walk—definitely worth the wait if there’s a line.
Hakan A — Google review
Gelato Paradiso hands down has the best gelato in town. The staff is friendly, the flavors are plentiful, and you can sample before you commit which is perfect because choosing just one is nearly impossible. The best part is that you can mix up to four flavors in a single cup! Yes, the line is usually long, but trust me, it’s always worth the wait. If you’re craving authentic, Italian-style gelato, this is the place. Perfect to beat that summer heat so don’t miss it!
Karen G — Google review
You won’t catch me waiting on the line that wraps to the PCH, but I understand why people are willing to do 😂 Very tasty. Parking is easiest in the structure behind the building.

Best gelato in California! We make sure to stop by everyday when on vacation in Laguna. I’m Italian and this is the closest to being in Italy.

Every flavor was a new discovery. They cracked the code. I am not surprised at how long the waiting queue is. A must try and every gelato flavor was just WoW!
Pe-ah — Google review
Amazing selections of gelatos with great service. Portions are huge and the staff always makes sure you’re happy with the choices. The coffee flavored gelato with the tiramisu combo really hits the spot. The pistachio is subtle but great roasted flavor for the classics.
Raghav G — Google review
While it is not the best tasting ice cream / gelato I have ever had, it is well above average and they give you a lot, hence the 5 stars. I got the large cone, which they give you 3 large scoops for under $10. The picture really doesn't do justice to how big it was in real life. My 3 flavors were vanilla, chocolate and peanut butter. The peanut butter didn't have a strong flavor, so I wouldn't get it again if I ever go back. Chocolate had a strong coffee taste, which I do not like in ice cream / gelato. I thought the vanilla was amazing, however. I saw a guy making it in-house through the window while waiting in line, so it's not generic pre-made preservative-laced food. Not sure about other locations in California under the same franchise, but this one is amazing.
Vexivero — Google review
Line was pretty long but worth it. Staff were friendly. Portion sizes were good. Would visit this location again. I gave it 4 stars because the gelato may not have been as smooth and creamy as I have had it at other places. But, it was still yummy.

Restaurant
Taco Loco offers a fusion of flavors with its blackened spice-infused dishes, featuring casual options like burgers and an array of tacos. Despite its appearance as a fast-food taco stand, the quality of the food rivals that of upscale restaurants. The menu includes Mexican standards with a seafood twist such as swordfish, calamari, and shrimp tacos, along with favorites like blackened mushroom-and-tofu tacos, salads, and bowls.
Wanted to see what all the hype is about. Stopped by and the tacos are delicious. It's definitely a must if in the area. The owner informed us they will be closing at the end of the season, so if you get a chance to get over there for some yummy tacos.. run! It's a VERY small place and seating is limited but worth it. Parking is limited.. Best bet is to find street parking (Good luck!).

We went to the one inside The Sawdust Festival tonight. We ordered chicken tacos and carnitas tacos. Both had no flavor. The tortilla chips also has no flavor and the salsa seemed like it was Old El Paso. One of the girls working was eating chips while helping get food to the pick up window. Gross. Keep your fingers away from your mouth while touching other people’s orders.
Amie A — Google review
The food was great, it had a nice fresh and home-made quality and was prepared quickly. I was surprised to see mexican pizza on the menu, and the blackened tofu pizza was quite filling despite being so small! The bean and cheese quesadilla was excellent. The guacamole and salsa were all very fresh. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes but I think that comes with anything in Laguna Beach.
Mayur P — Google review
Can I give service negative?! So rude to me and witnessed being extremely rude to elderly women who couldn’t hear one of the employees well. Raised her voice like the woman was mentally disabled and couldn’t process, disgusting condescending rude and nasty young woman. Nachos were Tostitos with some melted cheese for 16+ $ gross!. This was at the Sawdust Festival location.
Mary S — Google review
This place is a not-so-hidden gem. While fish dishes are their bread and butter, they've also got tofu and other options for the non-fish eaters (keyword: vegeterian, vegan). Their refried beans are proudly made without lard -- but with the other l-word: Love. (You won't miss the lard.) For fish eaters, the fish is delicious, and they've got a bunch of different fish options to choose from. The staff is entertaining and friendly. Service is relatively quick -- they're clearly a smoothly oiled machine behind the beach-shack-not-actually-on-a-beach facade. There are a ton of fish-taco options in Laguna Beach, but we'd go back to this one without a second thought.
Robert S — Google review
Great location for a good bite to eat after a day out and about with friends and family. They have an extensive menu and with many vegetarian and vegan options. Make sure you are specific when ordering because the food is often pre cooked and reheated for orders.

We got the salmon Taco and the vegan phish burrito. They were delicious and came out surprisingly fast. The banana chocolate smoothies were refreshing! Highly recommend Taco Loco for the atmosphere and the food.

The Monday Specials were seafood tacos so we ended up trying the Lobster, Salmon, and SeaBass. Tacos were good but all felt like they were on the greasier side and would have been too oily if I didn’t have the guac to balance it out. Outdoor seating was a good idea since the indoor counter space was a bit crowded.

The Laguna Beach Saturday Farmers Market is a delightful and unique experience that offers a feast for the senses. Located in the heart of the village, it's surrounded by lush green hills, creating a picturesque setting for locals and tourists to explore. Open from 8am to 12pm, rain or shine, this market welcomes furry friends as well. Every vendor is required to grow or create their products, ensuring they are fully certified.
Arguably the best market of it's kind between Newport and Dana Point. Very busy and expensive. There are unique offerings, such as pies, cheeses, and orchids. Please stop asking what the prices are. You are shopping in Laguna.

I loved this experience SO Much! One of the fruit stands had samples of all their fruit and nuts! It was awesome and definitely motivated us to buy some bc we were able to taste just how delicious the fruit was. The grapes are nothing like what u get at the store. And their pluots are amazing. There were so many cool stands! Got a great loaf of sourdough from one. Got a rotisserie chicken and it was incredibly tender and juicy. Check this place out! Its amazing

Tamale stand is not to be missed. Beautiful flowers for a decent price. The first few fruit and vegetable stands have everything out for a taster. If I live in Laguna, this would be the Saturday routine. If you’re here for a visit, it’s a fun thing to do in the morning then hit the beach with some delicious plums.

It's so relaxing to stay a few hours in Laguna Beach. Haven't been there for few years already. More parking lots available. Laguna Beach sister cities hosted the music festival was so impressive. Various groups performed in different locations that made you danced with them.

Location and Atmosphere: this market is located outdoors next to Laguna beach city hall. sometimes there is live music being played for TIPS near the entrance. Today there was a musician playing jazz on a saxaphone. we like the laid back vibe that we feel when we enter the market. Vendor Variety: There is a huge diversity of vendors. There are different many types of produce, baked goods, and crafts available? From local honey and plants to vegetables, fruit, cakes, pies, tamales, and so much more. Quality of Products: As much as I can tell all of the fruits and vegetables are fresh. All of the baked goods look homemade and delicious. Prices: most of the prices are reasonable compared to what you'd find in a grocery store? some are a good value for your money. not all prices are posted and you will need to ask for prices. sometimes,,, you can haggle. Community Engagement: there is a large local community engagement at the market. We see locals socializing and interacting with vendors. Accessibility and Amenities: its wheel chair accessible. parking is located close and nearby. Overall Experience: when we are here on the weekend we always go to the market typically just to look around but end up buying something. For us we always go when it is open.

We arrived at 12:15 and were told we couldn’t enter because they closed in 45 minutes…. If vendors have to be off the lot by 1pm and it takes them an hour to clean up, they should really change the hours advertised to the public. Vendors and the city are losing a lot of money turning down customers and hour before the advertised closing time. Very disappointing experience. Unwelcoming staff.

Beautiful ocean views and a great spot for brunch or lunch! The clam chowder was delicious, and they let us bring our own wine for a $25 corkage fee. I loved the crab eggs benedict, and the oysters were super fresh. All the egg dishes were tasty, though the coffee have room for improvement could be stronger and taste better kind of match the restaurant class ! Service was kind and welcoming. Parking is the downside ,valet is expensive, and we ended up spending $65 for the day. Still, highly recommend for the food, views, and overall experience!

Beautiful spot with an amazing ocean view! Our server Bianca was super sweet and made us feel very welcome. The cocktails and blueberry pancakes were great, and my daughter enjoyed her eggs and potatoes. I ordered the veggie hash and was disappointed to find it had a cashew cream sauce that wasn’t listed on the menu—it totally overpowered the dish and wasn’t to my taste. Aside from that, we had a great experience and would come back for the atmosphere, drinks, and service.

Had a clam chowder cup and it was very good. Tasted fresh and creamy. The French fries were nice and crispy on the outside and the ranch was amazing. Made in house and different. The view was nice also. The things I didn’t love was that it was a little confusing to find, it was all valet parking and everything was expensive.

Our breakfast at Driftwood Kitchen in Laguna Beach was a letdown. Despite 80% of the tables being open, we were stuck waiting 30 minutes to be seated, which was frustrating and unnecessary. The hostess seemed disorganized and could benefit from better training to manage the seating process efficiently. The servers appeared bored with nothing to do, as most tables were empty, yet the service was surprisingly slow. The oceanfront atmosphere was beautiful, and the breakfast menu had potential, but the poor customer service and long wait overshadowed the dining experience. For a Laguna Beach restaurant known for its coastal dining, I expected better hospitality. Hopefully, they improve their service flow for future guests.

Great views of you get a table outside but good food. Started with the Parker house roll which came out warm and was standard. Also had the grilled Thai prawns to start. Probably the tastiest thing we ordered. Went with the lamb chops and steak for mains. Both absolutely tasty and would recommend. They also had a children’s menu that you can request for. My nephew had chicken fingers and fries. We had the fingerling potatoes as a side as we weirdly weren’t able to order a side of fries because that wasn’t allowed. Desserts were okay. Had the bread pudding and churro doughnuts. Service wasn’t the best, very slow but it was a full house.

Outstanding food and atmosphere with a view to the ocean/beach. The eggwhite omelet and the steak were delicious. Clam chowder was great as well. I also enjoyed the brownie dessert with coffee ☕️

Probably the best Clam Chowder in the world! Nice ocean views. The service was excellent. Prices not so bad. I would highly recommend this place if you want to try something new.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Doheny State Beach. Not quite as popular as Crystal Cove State Park, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Doheny State Beach is a charming beachfront park situated near the scenic San Juan Bay, managed by the State of California. Accessible via Dana Point Harbor Drive and Park Lantern, it features two distinct public beach areas divided by the picturesque San Juan Creek. The beach offers opportunities for swimming, beginner surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding with gentle waves from the nearby bay.
This is such a beautiful beach, and park. Great camping amenities. My favorite thing about it is the covered picnic areas with grills, and fire pits. I attend 12 steps meetings here and absolutely love the energy with the ocean in view, it's a wonderful location to focus on recovery.

again, I'm not your typical reviewer who gives out 5 stars like free bottle water... it must meet all categories for a park to be considered superb. 1. ample parking! and also for motor home and trailers 2. Great walk paths within the park and extending south to capristrano beach, in and put of the water canal trails leading to mission viejo. for all bikers, Joggers runners and walkers. 3. a great eatery thats seeves beer and drinks and local plates right on the besch front. 4. tables and grills are widely available 5. life guard stations manned and ready 6. break water that's accessible and provides extraordinary views sounds and resting points. 7. for all ages, kids adults and for seniors. 8. surfing, paddling, swimming and sunbathing 9. downtown area provides places to grab some grub siteseeing , and window shopping 10. couple hours of entertainment for the family or by yourself a strong 4.5 to 4.75 missing... beach firepits, water fountains and more shower spots closer to the beachfront .

We had such a wonderful time at Doheny State Beach! We came with our 3-year-old son and it was the perfect spot for a family day. The beach is clean, safe, and easy to access. The waves near the shore are gentle, which made it great for little ones to splash and play without us worrying. There are plenty of picnic areas with shade, which made snack time and breaks really comfortable. Our son loved running around in the sand and watching the surfers further out in the water. The bathrooms were well-kept and convenient to get to, which is always a huge plus with a toddler. We also appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere—lots of other kids and families enjoying the day, but it never felt overcrowded. It’s such a relaxed environment, and parking was simple too. We’ll definitely be coming back. Doheny State Beach is now one of our go-to spots for a safe, fun, and stress-free beach day with our little one! 🌊☀️👶

We stopped there during our morning walk to the beach, and while used to the coastline beaches, we really enjoyed our time here. Besides being conveniently located within Dana point, it has a decent surf spot, highly frequented though and a few good amenities (picnic area, toilets…) - there is also a large paid parking in case you drive down there.
Guillaume B — Google review
Beautiful beach, clean, safe and easily accessible. The waves are not too strong and there are some volley ball courts on the smaller side of the beach. Picnic tables are on the lawn side. Great spot!
Maud C — Google review
There is a lot to love about this beach. Super clean restrooms, easy access to the cafe, loads of picnic tables and bbq pits, and more. We absolutely loved our time here and will be coming back. The only knock is the beach is very rocky if you plan to get into the water you need booties.
James R — Google review
Beautiful clean place. The staff here is on the money when it comes to keeping the areas maintained along with the people. No craziness here. Everyone kept to themselves and maintained a great environment for everyone

Spent the night in my van at the campground. I had a doctors appointment in Laguna and instead of driving home, hour and a half, I spent the night and metal detected. I had a front row, closest to the water, about $75. Worth every penny. I managed to get about $3 back metal detecting 😂😂 _/🚶🏽.

Dana Point Harbor is a picturesque destination that offers a variety of activities and dining options. The harbor works closely with local fishermen and farmers to provide fresh ingredients for its restaurants, which boast an impressive selection of American whiskey. Stand-Up Paddle Boarding is popular here, with Baby Beach being a great spot for beginners to launch their boards. Visitors can also enjoy boat cruises, kayaking, picnicking, whale and dolphin watching, as well as hiking along the scenic trails around the harbor.
Wonderful place triangle very clean plenty of parking. Amazing land, landscaping, and grass. There are grills and sitting areas you can just set up for a day picnic.

This is a beautiful harbor and gorgeous place along the California coast. I wish I had spent more time in Dana point. Gives me a reason to come back again for a little time away. Lots of people boarding and clean clear water. Lots of parking and nice park area to walk around and see the sights.
Fishing C — Google review
Personal take: I love starting the day with a harbor cruise spotting marine life, then grabbing lunch in the Lantern District. Afternoons are best spent surfing at Doheny or strolling the Headlands Trail. Evening is for sunset drinks by the marina or listening to music at the Ohana Festival. It’s refreshing, not overpoweringly touristy, and every day feels relaxed and rewarding. Quick pro tip: Go mid-week if you can, harbor parking is easier, beaches are quieter, and everything flows at that calming Dana Point pace. Bottom line: Dana Point is a SoCal gem, cozy coastal charm, unforgettable ocean adventures, and relaxed vibes without the crowds.

1000 Steps Beach

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Nestled in South Laguna, 1000 Steps Beach is a popular spot for surfing, sunbathing, and volleyball. Despite its name, the staircase to the beach actually consists of only 218 steps. Locals often use it as a workout spot due to its popularity. The beach itself is wide and beautiful with stunning coastal views and a tranquil atmosphere. It's framed by dramatic cliffs and offers a sense of serenity away from the crowds.
If you are looking for a hidden gem along the coast, Thousand Steps Beach is an absolute must-visit! I went there in April and was blessed with perfect weather — sunshine, a gentle breeze, and that magical light you only get on rare days. The beach itself is breathtaking: secluded, peaceful, and absolutely stunning. You access it by descending a long staircase (about 200 steps, not really 1000!), which feels like the start of a little adventure. Don’t worry — the climb back up is manageable and totally worth it. Highlights: - The Grottos: This was easily the highlight of my visit. At low tide, you can explore the mesmerizing caves on the left side of the beach. If you venture through, you’ll even reach another hidden beach — a real secret paradise! - Crystal-clear water and soft sand make it ideal for relaxing, swimming, or just soaking in the beauty. - Facilities: There’s a shower and a toilet down by the beach (only one each, but it wasn’t crowded at all during my visit). - Parking: Street parking is available at the top — it might get tricky during peak times, but in my case, it was easy and stress-free. - Sunsets: If you can, stay for sunset! The colors are unforgettable, and it’s one of the best places to watch the sun dip into the ocean. - Timing Tip: Visit at low tide if you want to explore the caves safely — and check tide charts beforehand. It’s an amazing spot for photography, quiet reflection, romantic walks, and of course, adventure if you love discovering hidden natural beauty. I genuinely had the perfect day and would come back again without hesitation. Highly recommend for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who wants a slice of paradise without the crowds!

I was a little nervous to visit at first, but I’m so glad I did, it was absolutely worth it! The views are stunning, truly some of the best I’ve ever seen. Photos don’t do it justice. The people are friendly, and the sound of the waves is so calming. I wish I lived nearby so I could come more often. This place is a hidden gem, I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance!
Israa — Google review
This beach is not that crowded compared to other SoCal beaches, and to access it, park at the hospital, but only on weekends. The beach is quite nice, has some tidepools and caves at both ends, and has some high waves perfect for bodysurfing. Also the beach is accessible by going down the 212-ish stairs to the beach, and the water and beach here seems more cleaner than other socal beaches.
LC 4 — Google review
The stairs keep the crowds away! There are a LOT of them. Definitely not 1000 but lots. It's easier to go down then come up. There is a lifeguard on duty and bathrooms at the bottom. Parking is TRICKY but it's well worth it. The beach is absolutely beautiful and it's clean and the water is so pretty. It wasn't crowded at all.
Jacque — Google review
I had the pleasure of photographing a senior portrait session at Thousand Steps Beach. While this beach is a popular spot, it's not always my first recommendation for those traveling specifically for a photo shoot due to the crowds. However, it's an excellent option if you're already staying in one of the beautiful nearby homes. Despite the crowded conditions, the photo shoot was spectacular, and we captured some truly stunning images. If you're considering this location, I highly recommend visiting during the off-season in winter to avoid the crowds and have a more intimate experience. For any senior, family, or wedding photography needs, I'm available to help you find the perfect backdrop and capture beautiful memories, whether at Thousand Steps or one of the many other incredible beaches in the area.

First time coming here and it all starts with 1000 steps down!!!!…. Actually not that many, it’s more like 200-250 steps but they call it to make people prep for the beautiful view that that can see from the shoreline! If you are around, it’s worth the try going down there! BUT, there’s only one bathroom so if there are many people you have to wait for good long time like I did… good 30 mins waiting just to pee :( so I just suggest to go to the restroom before coming here or just go to nature :p Overall, I had a good time spending time here but ironically waiting for bathroom was longer than seeing the ocean view… yet still it’s worth it! So go visit! Enjoy the steps and the ocean view! Cheers 🥂
Mr. D — Google review
The steep stairway down may seem intimidating at first, but once you reach the bottom, you’re rewarded with stunning ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and soft sand stretching along the shore. The waves crash with a calming rhythm, and the whole place has a secluded, almost secret vibe. It’s the kind of spot where you can just sit back, breathe in the sea air, and lose track of time.
Stephanie T — Google review
Awesome beach! If youre driving in, the parking is limited out on the road, so go early. Starts with a couple of hundred steps down. Which wasn't bad. Beach is beautiful and waves were active. -John Wayne's house sits here and believe it's a rental - Beautiful scenery - there was water access to clean feet - was a bathroom, but was locked, so not sure on availability - nice shopping and restaurants not far away Definitely recommend visiting if youre in the area

Aliso Beach, located in Laguna Beach, is a popular destination known for its wide sandy shore and amenities. It offers ample parking off Pacific Coast Highway, making it convenient for visitors. Families and surfers frequent the beach to enjoy the easy waves and fine tidepooling along rocky promontories. The outdoor play area provides entertainment for all ages, while fire pits, picnic tables, and playground equipment add to the beach's appeal.
My favorite beach for little kids and to take friends from out of town. There is a beach cafe right on the beach, a playground for kids, tide pools, and lots to explore. Parking can be difficult in the summer so we like to come in the non summer months for great weather and no crowds.

This is a nice beach with pretty much all the amenities: parking, bathrooms, snack bar and lifeguards. But it’s dangerous under certain conditions. Some days you just have to stay completely out of the water. Not even to get your feet wet.

Beautiful beach, a staple in OC. Good amenities like plenty of sand, ample parking but it does fill up, feet washing station, and a local cafe. Summer time vibes. Lifeguards are pros, they were so active during my visit and they make sure everyone is safe while having fun.

This is how they serve their nachos? The menu lists grilled carne asada (grass-fed beef), chips, jack cheese, pinto beans, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo—but where were the guacamole, sour cream, and pico? When we politely asked for the missing items, the staff was surprisingly rude about it. Disappointing experience.

My favorite place to eat in Laguna Beach. I love the aoli sauce on anything. And the chicken burritos are definately a go to. And the spicy margaritas are my favorite drinks there. I have been coming here for last 20 plus years.

Coyote Grill is a fantastic spot for tacos! They have a great selection, and on Taco Tuesday, you can order all night starting at 3 PM. Every taco I tried was delicious especially the calamari tacos! The crab ceviche and guacamole were also amazing. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxed, with a beautiful ocean view. The only thing missing was a little background music to enhance the vibe. Otherwise, everything was yummy, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Would highly recommend! 🌮🌊😊

Great ocean view along with great food and drink. Appetizers are excellent. We shared street corn and bacon wrapped shrimp whilst enjoying our very tasty margaritas. They have several margarita options. Plenty of delicious entree options to choose from. Our two couples split chicken fajitas and tacos Al carbon. Both were delicious. Good bar area if you want to watch a game and enjoy food and drink. We sat on the back with windows open and nice breeze and ocean sounds. Steak house
Maro Wood Grill is a modern Argentinian steakhouse located in Southern California, offering a unique culinary experience that combines traditional mesquite fire grilling with the health-consciousness of the local palette. The restaurant features an open fire grill where dishes like Grilled Shishito Peppers with Horseradish Aioli are prepared, infusing them with a distinct smoky flavor. The menu includes a variety of flavorful meat cuts, vegetables, desserts, and cocktails.
I had the pleasure of dining at Maro Wood Grill recently, and I can't recommend it enough. I ordered the 8oz Wagyu steak, and it was absolutely phenomenal — cooked to perfection with a beautiful char from their wood-fired grill that gave it a unique, smoky flavor. Every bite was rich, tender, and full of depth. You could really tell they use top-quality ingredients and take pride in their craft. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Maro Wood Grill delivered an experience that felt both upscale and relaxed. I’ll definitely be coming back — next time with even more friends to share it with!

Perfect for a date night, birthdays, dinner in Laguna, or grabbing dinner and drinks with friends. They have live music every Saturday night! I’ve had the hamburger, the steak, the beef, ravioli, and some of the desserts, all have been great.

Delicious veal Milanese, laid back ambience with a swanky vibe, and a beautiful location on the coast. The staff were very kind, knowledgeable, and professional.

My husband and I were in town and saw the "No Seed Oil" sign out front and decided to give this place a try as our last dinner of the trip. Outstanding meal - fresh, delicious, no feeling of bloat after. And we ate a lot. Loved the grilled artichoke and beef and chicken empanadas. The flavor was incredible. My husband had the Beef Ravioli Bolognese and I had the Tomato Basil Spaghetti and both were fantastic - our plates were polished. We both got gelato but we probably could have split one - both delicious. The lemon sorbet would be amazing on a hot day. The owner Alex was attentive and friendly - truly cared about the product he provides to his clients. Definitely recommending this place to friends!

This was so delicious it’s hard to put into words. The place looked small from the outside yet elegant. We got a chance to sit inside and watch the magic happen. Every plate that passed by made our mouths water. We are new to Laguna and so far it is the best tasting food we have tried. You may even get lucky to witness italian humor amongst the cook and the servers 😂. The food was cooled to perfection and every bite was tender. I had to tell my self to eat slower just so it lasts longer. Impressed !!!

Weekday early light lunch, like right around noon- even though it was summer, we were the only ones there. Lovely atmosphere on the little patio. I'm a sucker for wood grilled food, and the light fare we ordered did not disappoint. Would love to go back for a steak someday and check out the nighttime atmosphere..

Must try while visiting Laguna Beach! My favorite were the octopus salad and the beef burger. Always love visiting Deya and Hristo, cant wait being back!

The best restaurant in Laguna Beach! The food is so delicious the meat is grass fed and also there are a lot of organic options in the menu! I love that they don’t use seeds oil and prepare their food with olive oil!

The Cliff Restaurant is a picturesque outdoor eatery perched high on a cliff, offering stunning views of Laguna's coastline. With its multi-level patio, it provides the perfect setting for enjoying California-influenced seasonal cuisine and sipping on wine or cocktails. Whether you visit for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the restaurant promises a luxury dining experience with live music and breathtaking ocean vistas. Whether indoors or on the open-air terrace, diners are treated to remarkable panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
The food was fresh and delicious. The service was great. We arrived without a reservation and were told it’s an hour and a half wait. We found a great bar behind the main restaurant which is still part of the same restaurant where they serve. Live music and the atmosphere was wonderful. highly recommend.

Every time we come into Laguna Beach, we go to the cliff restaurant first for the food and service it also since it’s very dog friendly with a dog menu. They have live music right outside. As spectacular views of the sunset. Steven, our server was fantastic and the food was amazing as always. It may be a little bit costly but well worth it. Yesterday we went for just appetizers and today we went for a full meal. That’s how much we enjoy this place. Our pup extremely enjoyed her chicken breast with rice.

Very good Halibut Fish and Chips (I subbed in onion rings). The fish tacos were good as well but not the best I've had (4/5). I'd definitely come back here and next time make sure I reserve a table to have a better view!

The food - amazing. The drinks - amazing. The service - amazing. The view - also amazing LOL. Tara was such a great server, so friendly and sweet and everything she recommended was so good! The only thing I will say (but this is not a reason to not come here immediately) is that for the price, I’d expect better/nicer tables and chairs… but truly not a deal breaker for this place.

We had a fantastic lunch at The Cliff! The oceanfront view is absolutely breathtaking dining under the blue umbrellas with the sound of waves crashing below made it such a relaxing and memorable afternoon. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the crispy calamari, which was perfectly cooked and served with tasty sauces and a squeeze of lemon so good! We also had creamy shrimp pasta and penne with marinara, both flavorful and satisfying. The refreshing drinks were the perfect touch for a sunny beachside lunch. One tip: Make sure to make a reservation or join the waitlist ahead of time. especially on weekends we were on the waiting list for 2 hours, but it was definitely worth it!
Siwar B — Google review
It wasn’t bad, but I am not sure I want to come back. I don’t like that calamari is a thick piece sliced into strips in a thickly breaded crust. Fish and chips were average.
Keith T — Google review
Absolutely stunning experience! 🌅 The view at The Cliff is spectacularly awesome — the oceanfront setting alone is worth the visit. Watching the sunset from our table felt like something out of a dream. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, and the service was friendly and attentive. Such a perfect spot for a relaxing meal with breathtaking scenery. Can’t wait to come back!

No more seafood tower. Waaagh! At least "The Clffdiver" bloody mary cocktail is still brimming with bacon, a shrimp and a claw. The Alaskan Halibut substitute for cod is a good thing. The Shrimp Cocktail was filled with cabbage upon which the cocktail sauce was poured and I wonder who thought of that because I didn't want to have cabbage in my shrimp cocktail and now I have so little sauce that my shrimp could be dunked. Scraped it off the cabbage best I could but what little I could extract was made watery for the effort. Sadly this is a departure from the norm for both the dish and the restaurant.

The Laguna Playhouse is a midsized regional theater located in Laguna Beach, known for staging big-name plays, musicals, comedy shows, and kids' productions. The area has a rich cultural history and was once considered a mecca for lovers of alternative lifestyles. The playhouse sits next to the Festival of Arts and is one of the last community playhouses in Orange County.
We saw Rapunzel this Christmas, Sally Struthers was the PERFECT witch and JL Benet was a very charming Prince. Excellent venue, excellent show!

Perfect, intimate playhouse where we were immersed in the drama of the presentation of Fences, a story about father and sons/husband and wife. Good production, great set, well run playhouse.
Ryan B — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance at Laguna Playhouse. The acting was absolutely incredible. Watching a small cast take on multiple roles so seamlessly was mind blowing. It was clever, engaging, and kept my mind fully involved from start to finish. I do wish there were more people in my age group attending. This kind of live theater is something more young adults should experience. They are definitely missing out. My only critique is that the seats do not have cupholders or a place to store drinks, which would be a helpful upgrade.

First time attending a performance and it was fun. Theater is small enough that every seat is a good seat. We're planning to attend more plays.

We have attended the Christmas performances at the Laguna Playhouse for many many years now. Obviously a fun family tradition. Yesterday's manatee show was spectacular. I have three sons in there 20's now and they all agree it was the best one ever!!! The wicked sister's in Cinderella and Button made us laugh so hard. The fairy god mother's singing voice absolutely breathtaking. The costumes and set design were so beautiful. We were impressed by everyone in the cast!!! The performance was top notch. 👌

We rarely post bad reviews but! 1: Our waitress was excellent. 2: The smash burgers were good hamburgers but $24.00 each? Wow 3: The Asian salad was underwhelming. It had the cabbage parts that you toss when you are home.,no romaine lettuce on this romaine salad very bland and minimal dressing. 4: The Mediterranean salad , menu said(romaine, carrots, mandarins, toasted almonds, crispy wonton, soy miso dressing) saw no carrots or no green parts of the romaine only white parts, no almonds) 5: Mediterranean Chop Salad menu said: romaine, tomatoes, olives, cucumber, chickpeas, feta, oregano vinaigrette, crispy pita. No chickpeas found, We don’t complain we just don’t come back. It was better years ago

Nestled along the shore of Laguna Beach, Surf & Sand Resort offers a luxurious beachfront escape with posh rooms and suites boasting private furnished balconies and stunning ocean views. The resort features an ocean-view pool with drink service, a lavish spa offering pampering treatments, and the acclaimed Splashes restaurant serving fresh California-inspired cuisine overlooking the Pacific.
My husband and I had drinks and then dinner at the bar and restaurant. What a fabulous experience. The staff was exceptional, Mathias greeted us and remembered our anniversary. Jasmin and Kody were also excellent always serving us with a genuine greeting. The food was delicious and the view breathtaking. We loved every moment. Oh, Katie too was great, she led us the bar and then greeted us by name when we came back upstairs for dinner. Highly recommend.

Big shout out to the entire staff here at Surf and Sand. Ken Watson Ali @ concierge Michael @ valet Devon @ bell Hannah @ front desk Everyone here was outstanding, including the gentleman in housekeeping who showed up to our room with coffee AND water midway through the morning rush. Services were excellent, food was fresh and delicious. The pool and hot tub areas kept perfectly clean and water at the perfect temperatures. A safe place with a beautiful and friendly Doberman as part of their security team. My partner and I will also be writing a more formal review on TripAdvisor and submitting the guest survey. Thanks for reminding us what traveling and vacationing should feel like!!! It was tough to leave.

This resort is truly one of the most beautiful I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine kindness. Every request throughout our stay was handled promptly, and they went above and beyond by surprising my sister with a thoughtful birthday gift. Our room, located on the second floor, offered breathtaking ocean views and the soothing sound of the waves. The entire experience was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this resort, it is absolutely worth it.

Just celebrated my 40th birthday here, my first time being back since the renovation. Just had the most magical weekend, the rooms are top notch, and the service was beyond expectations. They went out of their way to make sure I felt celebrated for my birthday. The view from the rooms is as good as it gets. Can’t wait to be back!

This was our first time staying at Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach. From the time that we arrived, everything was so perfect, I proposed to my girlfriend at this hotel, and for sure we will be back. The staff were super friendly, thoughtful and helpful. I couldn’t thank you guys enough especially Chris and Hannah. I highly recommend this hotel. You have your own private beach, we had the balcony door open to listen to the waves at night. It was so beautiful.
Stephen B — Google review
The Surf and Sand: Stunning Location, Disappointing Service The Surf and Sand's oceanfront location is genuinely spectacular—the kind of view that justifies five-star pricing. Unfortunately, the service quality falls far short of the property's premium positioning. Dining Issues: Our concierge recommended Splashes despite acknowledging recent reconstruction concerns, claiming they'd received no complaints. The reality was a severely limited menu with overpriced, overly rich dishes that didn't justify the cost. When we expressed concerns, no alternative dining options were suggested. Cancelled Services: Multiple advertised amenities failed to materialize. Morning yoga and other scheduled activities were cancelled without advance notice. Most frustratingly, a spa facial appointment booked a month in advance was cancelled when the aesthetician simply didn't show up. Billing Problems: Despite prepaying for our room, the hotel placed a $1,300 hold on our card for "incidentals"—an unusually high amount for a one-night stay. Additionally, the spa charged $148 for the cancelled facial service, and spa staff couldn't locate any record of the charge when we inquired. Bottom Line: While the oceanfront setting is undeniably beautiful, the property's operational issues—from unreliable service to questionable billing practices—don't support its five-star reputation. The location alone isn't enough to justify the premium pricing when basic hospitality standards aren't met.

This is a review for the hotel restaurant Splashes. My husband and I returned here after 36 years to celebrate my 60th. This is where we celebrated our honeymoon in 1989, so it was significant. We were completely happy with our excellent service with Alex, who was kind, courteous, and attentive, superlative service! Our meal was also delicious and the overall setting and “vibe” were just perfect. Thank you Splashes and Alex for making our special dinner so memorable!

This is really the only dining option on site at Surf and Sand resort in Laguna Beach. The entire property had a recent renovation and it really shines. Splashes offers breakfast, lunch and dinner in their dining room, patio and also downstairs in the bar. Some of the servers and bartenders have been on staff over 20 years and it shows in the outstanding service. For breakfast the steak and eggs is a winner, very tender. The breakfast burrito was very tasty and crab benedict seemed to be very popular. For the octopus app was nice and crisp with good flavor. The chicken sandwich was juicy and very satisfying and the fries were amazing. The space does tend to get very crowded at peak times and reservations are highly encouraged. The bar area is first come first served so you just have to wait for something to open up. The views are stunning and the sunsets enhance the beautiful dining room with warm natural light. If you are staying at Surf and Sand you have to try Splashes.. the views are amazing and the food is worth trying to get a table.

It's always a great pleasure visiting Splashes, and now the hotel is renovated, it's even more stunning. The menu continues to be amazing with high quality dishes. The Spanish octopus and peach/ burrata salad were phenomenal. We also had the bacon/fig flatbread, which was really good as well. I had a cocktail, the Blue Reef, which blew my mind. We sat in the bar area, which has the best views. The staff there is absolutely fantastic.

Avila's El Ranchito in Laguna Beach is a charming family-owned restaurant that brings the warmth of homestyle Mexican cuisine to life. With deep roots in tradition, this eatery has been passed down through generations of the Avila family, who have infused their time-honored recipes with local flavors from Laguna Beach. The spacious venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it an inviting spot for families and friends alike.
Quaint and small, nestled on the ocean side, with delicious cocktails and amazing food! The service was also wonderful and attentive. We loved the guacamole and my Bloody Mary was delicious with house made mix. Highly recommend the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos! So filling with very generous portions and reasonably priced! My Husband had the ahi bowl that he says was equally amazing! We sat o the deck outside and it was beautiful, although there’s no view of the ocean. If you sit inside, there’s a window with the view of the ocean. But it was still wonderful outside, nonetheless! We will be back when we visit again! Also, the beach is steps away, so you can go enjoy after dinner!

Their beans and rice are yum! Their chicken fajitas? 🤌🏻 Their margaritas, delicious. But my tamale was disappointing, almost all masa and not much flavor, disappointing. BUT I'd definitely return. ☺️

Went for a drive, quick walk and to grab some tacos. Still searching for the best taco. Started with some chicken tortilla soup and then moved on to a la carte tacos. Pretty decent. Service was ok. We had to continuously ask for items to be brought to us because the server kept forgetting.

Great food. We had the avocado bowl. And the devil shrimp. Both were good. The shrimp dish had more kick. Avocado bowl was nice, but a bit flat. Chips and salsa were good. Highly recommend the guac and making it spicy via their sereno peppers. Flour homemade tortilla are great. Very dog friendly! Great outdoor patio!

Service was great! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The carne asada avocado bowl and guacamole were by far my favorites. Parking was a bit hard to find but I did find metered street parking a few blocks down the street. Whoever was in charge of the music gets a 5 star review as well. Enjoyed listening to Rufus Du Sol and Lane 8 amongst others while we dined🙌🏽

Quaint Mexican beach restaurant. Loved the fact that it was so close to the beach/you can see it from their outdoor dining area, which is where I sat. My service from start to finish was great. I ordered the 2 tacos with soup for $20ish. Tacos were on point and full of flavor(I ordered my tacos, 2 yr old style with only meat & cheese). The soup could've had a deeper flavor to the broth but still very delicious! Located on a very popular street in Laguna. Would recommend if you're in the mood for a laid back restaurant with classic Mexican food dishes. OHHH & THEIR SALSA = SOO GOOD! Parking - is on the street

South of Nick's in Laguna Beach is a culinary treasure that offers a delightful fusion of Mexican-inspired dishes, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated amidst the coastal allure, this restaurant consistently provides outstanding experiences that keep guests coming back. The inviting ambiance includes an ocean view and gentle breezes for a tranquil dining experience.
I have been visiting this restaurants for years when in Laguna Beach. It has a lively atmosphere, with great service, freshly made food, nice variety of drinks and a view of the pacific while you enjoy your meal or are just seating at the bar. Definitely make a reservation as it is a busy place at peak dining hours. Food is always wonderful, my favorite is their shrimp taquito's, but they start you with chips, salsa hot, mild and a bean dip that you can't stop eating! Definitely if in the area stop in and enjoy one of their fine Mexican dishes, as they are all delicious.
Pat V — Google review
Beautiful location and great service. Food was expensive and unlike authentic Mexican. Dishes were large and overpriced given their taste and ingredient value. Drinks were good but not great. Queso fundido was mediocre and the ceviche was downright bad. Unseasoned cucumber salad is the only title it’s worthy of, due to its lack of ahi tuna and flavor. Empanadas were soggy and came with the same sauce that was used for the enchiladas, which were oddly good. The chile Relleno was played messily but was also good, as was the Cabo Shrimp, despite its simplicity (cream sauce with grilled shrimp and cheesy bread). Also what’s up with the olives? Really? Olives? Are we seriously using olives in a Mexican restaurant? Guava mocktail lacked a guava flavor, but the Yuzu one was excellent, as was the Tamarindo cocktail. Our server was excellent and displayed immense knowledge of the menu.

Great spot with lovely views. Top notch service. Delicious cocktails like the frozen coconut one and spicy mezcal one (don't recall the names). Great chips and dips. Ceviche was of nice quality but incredibly bland. Added salt and salsa and was better. Rest of food was very good including chicken mole enchiladas, shrimp taquitos (not what you're likely envisioning), seafood enchiladas and steak dish. definitely worth a visit. Only the ceviche prevents a 5 star.

Well, I stumbled upon this when I was on a mission to find a nice place for a date that catered to vegetarians. This will go down as one of my favorites for nice portions, fresh food, awesome margaritas. Try the Jalapeño and the Spicy Sunset! Oh...blood orange was good too. Going back again for sure. The view from our table was amazing. Wish I has stayed a little longer to catch the sunset

We’ve been here several times but tonight was off the charts. Best service we’ve had at any restaurant in a long time. The manager was amazing and very present making sure guests were good. It was actually surprising how involved she was, helping out and making sure we were happy. Food was amazing. Drinks too. Just an absolute lovely time. We sat in the back for the first time and wow, I now prefer that for the hillside views, and it’s more quiet. Couldn’t have been happier with our night out fur my husband’s birthday.

Such a great experience. Shout out to Sarah and our server Courtney. The food was amazing, and Courtney suggested really good dishes. There was a group of people behind us that were super boisterous and without even saying anything Sarah paid for our entrees, and Courtney gave us a complimentary dessert. We are so impressed with how well they handled that. 10/10 and we will absolutely be going back.

I've been to thus subway a few times. They are very friendly and fast. The bathroom is typically clean. There has been maybe once it twice the bathroom was not clean. Overall I enjoy coming to this subway.

Staff is by far the nicest staff of all the Subway's I have been too. Food is spot on, not different than any other Subway, though it is served very fast. Definitely very clean.

I don't ever go to Subway because it's terrible. Thanks for asking me to review it.
Bryan B — Google review
Average Subway location with a nice outdoor eating area, located a very short walk from a never too crowded area of Laguna Beach.

I hope the person blaming their sore throat/cold on subway is joking or mentally challenged, lol. The cold was coming long before you ate that sandwich.
