Specialty Museums
The National Museum of the US Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, is a sprawling aviation museum that first opened in 1923. It boasts an impressive collection of about 360 aircraft and weaponry, making it the largest military aviation museum globally. The museum offers various attractions such as flight simulators, a 3D theater, and war-themed exhibits.
Really enjoyed this museum! It’s free to go in and there is some awesome stuff for a free exhibit. Pretty much the entire history of the USAF with few exceptions from what I understand distributed across four different hangars. I’d heavily recommend both the Cold War and the R & D sections if you get a chance as those are the most interesting parts I found! Also they have flight simulators with full roll and a good amount of pitch that feels awesome! Great for families or just to stop in if you’re in town!

Absolutely incredible experience. A museum like no other I've ever been to before in my life. I was super stoked to see the SR-71 and the Air Force one plane that JFK used. What an experience and I wouldn't change a thing. The main key is being able to interact with so many of the aircraft and my little guy loved being able to climb into cockpit and pretend he was a fighter pilot. The missile silo was huuuuge and nothing like I've ever seen before. The staff and volunteers were very nice and interactive as well. We were able to come on a random week day when it wasn't busy so we were able to enjoy ourselves without huge crowds. We will definitely be back!!
Scott J — Google review
Great air and history museum! You could easily spend an entire day here. Great historical explanations surrounding the exhibits and very organized. We've been there several times with the kids through the years and always had a great time. Most recently, my daughter and I visited during a "plane talk" event and were able to meet several retired members of the flight crew of different aircraft. Highly recommend!
Stacy F — Google review
Aviation history at its finest—absolutely world-class. This museum is a national treasure. From the Wright brothers to stealth bombers, the scale and depth of the exhibits are staggering. Four massive hangars packed with legendary aircraft, including the X-15, SR-71, and the B-29 that dropped the second atomic bomb. You can even walk through presidential planes like the one Lyndon Johnson was sworn in on. One of the most compelling exhibits is the story of “Flying the Hump”—the daring WWII airlift over the Himalayas to resupply Chinese forces after the Japanese cut off the Burma Road. Pilots flew from India to China through brutal weather, 18,000-foot altitudes, and zero navigation aids. It was dubbed the “Skyway to Hell”, and rightly so: over 500 aircraft were lost, and more than 1,300 crew members perished. Yet this mission was vital to keeping China in the fight and ultimately helped turn the tide in the Pacific Theater. The layout is intuitive, the signage is clear, and the staff—many of them veterans—are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Best part? Admission is free. You could easily spend a full day here (or several) and still not see everything. Whether you're an aerospace engineer, a military buff, or just curious about flight, this place will leave you inspired. One of the best museums in the country, hands down.
Jacques L — Google review
Amazing place to visit and see the history of our great Air Force. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Went here on a brother’s trip and we learned a lot and enjoyed it very much. Took us about 5 hours to see everything and we were rushing towards the end because it was close to closing time. Would recommend it for anybody and everybody. Take pride in our country and the military members who make it happen. God bless the USA!
Aaron J — Google review
If you are a military aircraft enthusiast, or a war historian, this has got to be one of the most amazing museums in the world. And has everything from the wright brothers early aircraft contracts with with the army, through modern stealth aircraft and missile technology... And it's totally free admission! I spent over 4 hours there and felt like I could have been there for another full day just reading placards and listening to tour information. Absolute must do if this overlaps with your personal interests.
Brian T — Google review
So glad we took the time to visit this place. It costs nothing to go in, and there's so much to see and do. My toddler had a great time getting to see everything. They also have several planes you get to go inside of or sit in the cockpit of. There are also several interactive exhibits that are great for kids. Overall, it's an amazing display of an important part of history, while also preserving it all exceptionally well.
Ronald K — Google review
Had a fantastic time here a couple months back. There are so many things to experience and it’s so big you could spend an entire day here. Perfect for any history buff. They even had little simulators for the kids to enjoy. I highly recommend.

Eastwood MetroPark

Park
Eastwood MetroPark, managed by Five Rivers MetroParks since 1990, offers a picturesque outdoor experience with a lake, river, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and hiking trails. The park was revitalized to cater to both inner-city residents and suburban visitors. It features areas for picnics and outings, walking trails, day camps for kids, ice skating rinks in winter, biking paths, quiet spots for reflection, community events like parades and hayrides.
Great park. Fishing the big lake is tricky without a boat or kayak etc. The small pond can be OK. The river side has lots of little holes that can be pretty good. Although this year I have not caught a lot of fish there, it's so clean and pretty I keep going back. Great for walking and just enjoying nature.
Zach H — Google review
Took my kayak out for the first time. I paddled all around the little islands and under the bridges. Lots of birds. Had my Merlin app running. The water is a bit gross - maybe from the geese, but it was still a nice morning.
Judy ( — Google review
Good place for a hike of your choosing. Walk beside the river, on wooded trails or by open prairie along paved road, wide paths, over wide foot bridges, or beside paved roadways. We've seen deer near the riverside path in late afternoon.
Susan B — Google review
I recently visited Eastwood MetroPark near Dayton, Ohio, and it was a fantastic experience! This park is a gem for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. The expansive lake was perfect for kayaking, and the well-maintained trails offered plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking. I was particularly impressed by the scenic views and the diversity of wildlife I encountered along the trails. The park also features ample picnic areas and playgrounds, making it ideal for family outings. What stood out most was the peaceful atmosphere; it was a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're looking for a place to relax or engage in active recreation, Eastwood MetroPark has something to offer everyone.

Great place to get out and feel away from all the noise. It’s peaceful, pretty, and clean! Absolutely love the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience event every year, too.

This place is great for walking! Trails are great, everyone I passed was friendly. Well maintained park, very clean. There is also another entrance for the lake. I will check it out next time.
James C — Google review
Really nice place. Got a little kid park. Good BBQ grills and overall very well kept. Boat ramps too. But this is not a lake. Well where I'm from. This is a pond. Where I come from a lake is only a lake if you can't see land. This is a pond. Doesn't seem to have any fish in this pond. But it's a cute little park. Our park, zoo, atrium and lake is 375 Acres. Soooooooo.. yeah. Also our zoo is free.

Flea & Street Markets
2nd Street Market is a vibrant marketplace situated in a repurposed B&O railroad building dating back to 1911, located near Dayton's Oregon Historic District. Originally established as the Wegerzyn Outdoor Farmers Market, it has since evolved into the oldest and largest public farmers market in Dayton. With over 50 vendors from southwest Ohio, the market offers an array of locally sourced fresh produce, homemade treats, and crafts.
Sooo in love with this place!!!! For a smaller market it is absolutely balanced with diversity and variety! Food, live music, live artists (painter and pottery), local businesses and Daytona best chocolatier! I was impressed from the moment I stepped in and I will def be back to visit again! As often as possible! And im taking others with me! Local vendors and small businesses were the star of the market for sure. The options were unexpectedly great! There’s a little something for everyone! You could truly spend a whole day there and be happy!
Tara A — Google review
We absolutely LOVE the market! Everyone is so friendly & welcoming. Several fantastic food options to suit your taste buds. Many other vendors for your shopping needs. Really cool place to hang out!!!

The market is such a Dayton gem. Many fast casual dining options. From Mediterranean to Mexican and even a French crepe station! There are also lots of vendors selling handmade and organic items.
ML R — Google review
I love 2nd Street Market for an occasional stroll and shop on a Sunday. The vendors are local and the variety of items is fantastic. You can find everything from produce and baked goods to plants and trinkets. They often times have live music in the form of solo artists or small trios. They also have spots to eat inside. Very cute way to spend an hour!
Lisa M — Google review
We had the pleasure of stopping here briefly while passing through Dayton. A cute market, nice selection of items offered. The kids enjoyed some chocolate dipped jumbo marshmallows with sprinkles and Mom had a nice iced matcha. Everyone was happy. There are some impressive graffiti behind the market.

My first time at 2nd Market St was a huge success, and I'm already looking forward to my next trip. Despite it being a busy day with ballgames and festivals, the atmosphere was wonderful, with beautiful flowers, artisan booths, and the relaxing sound of live saxophone music. For lunch, we were blown away by Gunash Mediterranean Cuisine. I ordered the chicken kebab, and my husband had the daily lamb döner kebab special. The rice was incredibly buttery and the vegetables were cooked to perfection—they made me want more vegetables (win)! Everything was so flavorful and clearly made with care. Afterward, we grabbed iced coffees from Jim's Organic Coffee. My husband isn't usually a fan of iced coffee, but he immediately said, "Oh, that's a good cup of coffee!" I was thrilled to find they had sugar-free hazelnut syrup, which was a delicious, unexpected treat. To top it all off, I discovered Mrs. Ernestine's Pound Cakes. As someone with gluten sensitivities, I was so happy to find a truly amazing dessert. I got the whole bean pie supreme, and it was sublime. The pie has a pumpkin-like texture with the warm spices of an apple pie, and the sweetness is just right. I couldn't believe it was made with navy beans! Overall, 2nd Market St is a vibrant and welcoming place with incredible vendors. I'm so glad I finally visited and will definitely be back.

All kinds of things to peruse here. It’s many stalls of anything from jewelry, chocolates, pastries, candles, tea, coffee, produce, kitchen utensils, lots of eateries at good prices, spices, grains, cookies, plants, freshly made breads and pretzels, pottery.

2nd Street Market is such a gem in Dayton! The atmosphere is lively, friendly, and full of local charm. You can find everything from fresh produce and handmade goods to delicious ready-to-eat meals from local vendors. It’s the perfect place to spend a weekend morning grab a coffee, explore the stalls, and enjoy the community vibe. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the city!

Stadium
Sights & Landmarks
Arenas & Stadiums
Day Air Ballpark in Dayton, Ohio is a classic outdoor activity for families to enjoy. With over 6,800 seats, seven permanent concession stands, and 13 specialty concession carts, there are plenty of options for food and merchandise. The stadium offers a modern and clean environment to watch the semi-professional baseball team, the Dragons. Visitors can expect entertaining pre-game activities and hilarious performances between innings.
Great place to spend a few summer nights! There’s plenty of entertainment for both adults and kiddos, lots of stadium food options (if you’re into that), great beer options, including Yellow Springs Brewery, and much more! This is a nice, clean stadium with friendly people, and I highly recommend paying for parking in advance (when you buy your tickets online)! It’ll make everything so much easier.
Heather H — Google review
Took my kids here for a game and we really enjoyed it. Park is nice and clean. Plenty of food to choose from. Everything was very affordable. There is free parking around the park but if you have to pay it's 5 bucks. The most I saw was 10. During the game there was entertainment in between innings and I also loved how the fans were involved some how. We will definitely be back 💚
Brittany D — Google review
There was a lot to like about the stadium; lots of food and drink options, nice modern stadium, cheap parking options a short distance away (free parking on the road at weekend) and lots of entertainment away from the game (the autograph alley option at the end of the game was a nice touch). However, I wouldn't recommend section 105 as the view from my seat didn't offer a clear view of home point just the side of a person's head.
Steven B — Google review
Our son's first Dragons game was a great success! We had the best time. It's affordable, the food is good & we love that every inning is interactive. This is a great place for kids. The staff are so friendly! My son got his first game certificate & a hat. Looking forward to many more games!

I am a fully repeat customer. Carl and the entire team are the best. I usually host in the suites and the food/catering is always excellent. Great drinks and service. I will be back....as always.

I love going to a Dragons game! Win or lose, it's a fun time! The stadium always seems packed so you get the crowd feel everytime. Lots of crowd interactions so the fans can get involved. They also make sure of your safety and have a net in place to prevent injuries as best as they can. It is always a great time and would definitely recommend going if you're into baseball!

Day Air Ballpark is a great fun Venue. Full of great Dragons fans, concessions have all you want to eat and drink to make the experience even better. GO DRAGONS!!!! 🇺🇸

Wow! An unexpected great meal in Dayton. I had the citrus salmon and it was smothered in red onions and mushrooms. I had a beautiful side salad. Definitely will return. Service was great. Good was fresh. Lovely atmosphere and one of the only places open on...you guessed it... Monday.

Rolling through Dayton on a birthday road trip, hunger hit **hard**—and Brixx Ice.Co was the **perfect** remedy. Walked in expecting a meal, but left with **one of the best burgers of my life** and a whole new appreciation for Midwest hospitality. 🍔🔥 The crew? **Top-tier.** Welcoming, quick, and treating every guest like they’ve been part of the family for years. The patrons? **Same vibe.** Felt less like a sports bar and more like a gathering spot where everyone’s in on the good times. If you ever find yourself in Dayton **starving or just craving a solid atmosphere**, Brixx **delivers** on both. Will absolutely make this a stop whenever I’m back in town. 🏆🍻✨

Meghan the bartender was awesome!!! Great food!!! The Cajun chicken breast, hamburgers, fries and onion straws are awesome! If you are going to a Dayton Dragons game or just passing through, stop here before or after the game!
Larry T — Google review
We stopped on the later side of the evening and ordered a few items. We ordered fried pickles, chips and queso and bone in chicken wings. The fried pickles seem to be under cooked. They were very flimsy and the batter wasn't really all that crispy. The chicken wings were pretty basic no flavor to them besides the spicy garlic sauce. The chips that came in the chips and queso seemed to be overcooked and the queso was way too runny. If you've been drinking and a need quick bite to eat this a good place to go. Not extremely over priced - service was fast. Just wish the food would have hit different.
Britnie P — Google review
Not sure what the problem was with our server, but two tables of people came in after us and were finished eating and had their checks before we even had our orders taken. Thankfully we weren't in any hurry. We finally asked for someone else, and the food came out quickly after that. But we didn't get asked if we wanted more to drink, or if we wanted dessert, and we got our checks before we were halfway done with our meal. Efficient - but somewhat rude, like they wanted us to leave. They did make it right, and the food was good, so it wasn't a totally bad experience.
Valerie — Google review
Stopped in before a Dragons game and had a great time here. Fun atmosphere, good drink and food selections, and a large outdoor patio. Reasonable prices as well. It was quite crowded, but still quick and good service. I'll be sure to stop back again!
Mike Z — Google review
Just OK. Great location in summer, food is very average, and service dismal. If in a different location it would rate as high as a Jack in the Box. I like to sit outside on a summer night and Brixx is good for that. Plus, you'll get a seat on game night when getting a seat inside can be difficult. The servers must expect you to have one beer and be done, so don't bring a thirst as the waits between visits to the table are long. But it is the plastic cups and utensils that really make you feel like you're at you poor relations.

Italian restaurant
Roost Italian is an upscale restaurant located in the historic Oregon District, offering an intimate and modern ambiance perfect for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The menu features a small selection of exquisite dishes including fresh pasta, steak, seafood, and local specialties such as filet mignon, chicken saltimbocca, Tuscan pork chops, Asiago-crusted chicken, and grilled veal.
Food: 5/5 so good. We started with the mussels. Beautiful creamy sauce with a very subtle hint of spice. Wedding risotto… shut up. So good. If you love Italian wedding soup and comfort food this is the perfect dish. Creamy chicken risotto over a bed of creamy risotto and meatballs. This is all placed over a savory broth. Again.. SO GOOD. My husband got the scallops and they were fabulous. Ravioli made to perfection tossed in a creamy sauce and scallops. Excellent dish. Service 5/5: We had Brittany (sp?).. amazing. She gave great recommendations for wine pairings with our meals and was rapid and attentive. There’s servers who just want the day to end and servers who enjoy creating an experience with you. She’s the latter. Atmosphere 5/5: Beautifully designed. From the ambient low lights to the different textured walls. This place is a VIBE honey. Moral of the story… come to roost and see one of the bests that Dayton has to offer.

My wife and I recently went there on a date. It was super easy to do the reservation on google. We were seated right away. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. We ordered drinks and the risotto fritter to start. Interior of the fritter was smooth and creamy, I thought the exterior could have used more salt. It was good overall. For our mains my wife had the filet and I had the pork chop. Pork chop seared to perfection. Very tasty. I wasn’t wild about the palenta. Something about about the protein being served in the middle of a starch seems odd. My wife’s fillet same way. Cooked perfectly, but it was in the middle of a Yukon gold mash. I feel like the protein looses a little something when it’s served this way. Finally we had the chocolate cake. One of the best deserts I have ever had, we had some vanilla gelato on the side. Overall 4/5 it was great no complaints. I think I’m holding back one star because of HYPE, for the price I just expected a little more. Overall I would go again if invited by a friend or special occasion.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. My filet was perfect medium rare, my daughter’s chicken with crispy skin and my wife’s risotto…and the meatballs were the best I’ve ever had…weird saying that about meatballs but true! The server was very helpful and even though it was her first day, she was great and added to a superb meal. This is the type of meal that makes you forget about and care less about the cost. The experience was worth it!

Chet really showed us an amazing level of service. The food wa outstanding, subtle and delicious flavors on every dish. Unique and timeless tastes I won’t soon forget. We started with the artichokes, stuffed pepper special and bread with garlic con fit. Everything was on point. My cocktail of choice was the Old fashioned and only got better and better until it was gone. To culminate the experience I went for the scallops with truffle cream sauce. Phenomenal. The night was finished off with delectable limoncello , simply amazing. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary experience, ask for Chet.

100% delicious. Made reservations for a date with my wife and had a fantastic time. The restaurant is had a beautiful well lit entrance and a ton of cozy quiet corners for tables. The food was amazing. The mushroom scallops is VERY good and the veal chop was everything that you could want it to be. Bottom Line: the restaurant is a gem in the heart of the Oregon district with fabulous food and great service.

Quaint, cozy and warm setting! Greeted with a 🙂. Server was attentive and answered our questions since we didn't know what some of the Italian dishes were. Husband ordered the steak. Served exactly as ordered, med rare. Salad was fresh and crisp. Ravioli was superb! Stuffed with mushroom and asparagus, with a white sauce, great balance of taste!. The best part of the meal, besides my husband??? The garlic bread! BEST EVER! Cripy crust but soft and buttery in the inside. Garlic and herbs drizzled on outside to add an amazing flavor. We were to full to order dessert but will be back to try those.
P C — Google review
Very nice place for a fine dining experience. The service was top notch with very friendly and attentive staff. They even cleaned the table itself a bit between courses. The garlic bread was great! Definitely worth ordering as an appetizer and fun to eat. And the caesar salad was delightful. The main courses (filet and chicken) were good but very simple and needed salt & pepper. I would have liked the food to have more unique flavors. It was good, high-quality food but I felt like it could have stood out more. Nothing that made me feel like I could only get it at Roost. Fairly pricy if get appetizers and drinks along with dinner, but good for a rare night out. The signature cocktails were good and definitely unique in a good way.

Service was excellent I enjoyed the warm mushroom salad a lot We also tried the artichoke as an appetizer which was interesting . For main courses we got the pork chop - the polenta under the chop was fantastic ! Spicy and delicious. We also got the special - the sole - it was just ok, the capers overpowered the rest of the dish , the sole was cooked nicely. Dessert was the affogato which was really good , and the bomba . I would come back and try some other things in future .

Coffee shop
Tim Hortons is a popular chain of coffee shops that serve up delicious baked goods and beverages in addition to their signature blend coffee. The shop offers a variety of specialty drinks, including lattes, cold brew, iced coffee, and classic Iced Cappuccinos. All of the coffee is made with 100% premium Arabica beans.
This is my favorite Tim Hortons on the planet. I order a bacon belt and an extra large triple triple almost everyday. They go out of their way to make sure I have fresh ingredients on my bagel, and the bagel is never hard. I've been to other Tim Hortons where the food was awful. I've always loved the coffee. This location has made me appreciate the food again. And I appreciate them. Thank you for treating me like one of your friends. You guys rock.

I’ve been getting the same thing lately because the first few times it was so good. I get a large vanilla cold brew with 1 sugar free vanilla shot. The last 3 times I’ve gotten it, it’s been so sweet that it’s completely undrinkable. Like they poured half the bottle in it. It’s very disappointing because it tastes so good when it’s done right. This has been every time I’ve ordered around 8am during the week. Please stop.

Wow! This place lives up to the poor reviews that I read after my visit. I ordered the biggest thing (meaning biggest picture, or highlighted item) on the menu a scrambled egg bacon and cheese everything croissant. First, we are out of croissants all together, that's fine I will just do the bagel. All good so far. After I pay for the scrambled eggs he told me they just threw them away but they have egg rounds. So I settled for those( just not a fan the scrambled egg is som much better)Wait for my order then go out to my truck. instead of bacon did sausage, mind you the person who took my order was the same person that made the food. Doesnt seem like a big deal but I have been here 20 times at least over the past year. And EVERYTiME my order has been wrong with the exception for one girl with glasses that was honestly was very good. I am not a review person I believe people mess up its all good as long as they make it right, no harm no foul. But this time I go back in and didnt even get a sorry. The most common sense thing and didn't happen. Worst tim Hortons I have ever been to in the Dayton area.

The coffee was old and cold, to much creamer even after asking for fresh hot coffee with less cream. Teenagers were the staff and seemed to like acting like the job and customer service was a pain to deal with. I was not happy 😕

I should have known the service was going to be terrible based on the impression when I passed the drive-thru. I ordered online 10 minutes prior to arriving to save some time. I passed the drive-thru and let them know that I was there for a mobile pickup. As soon as I approached the window, they told me to pull over since the drink was not made yet. Ten minutes later, I returned to the drive-thru window to see what was taking so long since no cars were in the drive thru, just to find out nobody was making our drink, and they didn't even know I had an order. It seems that the guy who told me to pull over had already clocked out and didn't communicate with the crew. After they scrambled why it happened and went back and forth on who was gonna make it, since nobody knows how to make the drinks, they finally did, and of course the drinks were made wrong. What a mess! Please train these employees how to offer better customer service and how to make products that they sell.

Just went through the drive through, no cars in front of us but it reeked of marijuana. When we were given our drink, the cup literally smelled like pot. I’ve never been more grossed out.

Very comfortable inside... excellent staff and they always have fresh coffee and baked donuts, and they are made with sugar, not GMO roundup corn syrup

Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway is a vibrant destination that combines the thrill of horse racing with an exciting casino experience. Visitors can enjoy a variety of table games and slot machines, while the second floor features simulcast wagering for horse races. The venue also hosts live racing during its seasonal events and offers sports betting for those looking to add extra excitement to their visit. The atmosphere is enhanced by several excellent dining options and bars, making it easy to grab a bite or unwind with friends.
Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway has some of the best chicken sandwiches around—packed with flavor and always fresh. The curly fries are delicious, perfectly crispy, and seasoned just right. The drinks are top-notch, and a special shoutout goes to Tasha, the bartender who crafted one of the best cocktails I’ve had. She’s not only talented but also incredibly kind and customer-focused. Excellent service all around. Highly recommend!

Travelling from UK, we were only interested in the racing. Having negotiated the casino we found the viewing for the track and it’s very good. The racing is exciting and you are kept fully informed. Kurtis, the teller for the global tote was very welcoming and happy to help us novices. When it came to food and drink, there’s a bar serving food. No servers, only bar service, and for some daft reason if you’re watching the racing from inside you are served your drink in plastic, not glass. Noelle W was so very helpful and welcoming. Overall we had a great evening and recommend for a good night out

Not bad place to gamble lost once won once but they are very generous with their free play. I will return esp if I get free play like they have been sending me. Best around for that! Restaurants not open very late. One thing I don't like they have no video poker.

Very nice casino with a very good staff. The food at the on site restaurants was also very good and a fair price.

Fun place to spend a few hours, if you like slots. Great food. We ended up getting a large pepperoni and mushroom and loved it. Totally recommend getting the PennPlay app and open an account before arriving. Then go to the counter with an ID and get a card, so you don't have to use your phone for everything. The points still rack up with the card. Left with a few hundred in my pocket and around $24 in PennPlay wallet to use online, or later at the casino.

Always have a good time at the casino! Quick day trip or stay n play is still worth trying my luck to be a winner. At the main bar this month (September) has this amazing blue raspberry slushie with Absolute Raspberry in it.... 🤤. The bartender working Saturday afternoon told me that adding a kicker or 2 is worth it 😃

Usually enjoy coming here. Walked in early this morning for first time ever was asked to look in my purse, which I'm totally fine with and respect that. Issue was guy think he funny and them both standing there laughed but said oh wait is that a gun as joke! I blew off but dont find that remotely funny at all for personal reasons. Wow that not nothing for them to joke about.

I wasn’t too impressed, smells like the sewage plant next door and not too mention I was rudely kicked out of the smoking room do they could clean the carpet at like 7 in the evening, like why aren’t you doing this at 3am? So they owe me a bonus round cause I was going into one had to leave the room. Not cool, not going back, sticking to lawernceburg

do not eat at the restaurant!! The cashier told us to sit at a taken table, we switched and told the cashier. Drinks took 25 minutes to get (wednesday night maybe 10 other people in the restaurant). our food came out sporadically. pretzel was hard and stale. there was a pizza sitting at a empty table for 5 minutes, and was later handed to us - not hot at all. who even knows if that was truly supposed to be for us. I feel bad because the same people who we purchased game cards from, were working in the kitchen too. i saw the same 5 workers just rotating positions throughout the place. The manager we talked to at the restaurant was literally running around all night, i hope she is paid well and recognized for her hard work but they need a better system. i will not be visiting any time soon. also the drop tower was broken and leaking yellow fluids.. super gross.

We just moved to the area and thought we'd give Scene75 a try. It's so hot and has been raining so much finding somewhere fun to take my son is awesome! The place is very clean and well maintained and has plenty of employees working. They had a great deal since we went on a Monday, so we got unlimited rides and a game card for very affordable. My son is 9 and had a great time! It wasn't very crowded so he got to try everything as much as he wanted and since he's never ridden a Rollercoaster there's was a great first step, the attendant even went above and beyond to give him a hand signal so if he was scared and didn't like it he could tell him. Overall, we are very, very impressed and will 100% be back!

Terrible service. attraction workers were standing in the middle of the rooms talking to eachother and on their phones paying no attention to the customers. I had to get out of line, walk over and ask them to do their job.. and even then I didn’t get a sorry or spoken to at all for that matter. Not one word or smile. Half the games would take money off the card and not add a credit onto said game.. at least $10 waisted between all the times swiped and games played. My son went to ride the rollercoaster, sign says he’s tall enough and absolutely was NOT. very unsave had to hold him in his seat down the hill because he wasn’t held in what so ever. I also wanted a drink from the snack bar and all the TV’s and lights were on but nobody in sight. Stood there for 5 whole minutes and multiple workers passed, I shouldn’t have to ask for people to do their job especially when it wasn’t even busy. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t recommend. Was under MUCH better management and ownership before the switch.

Dixie Twin Drive-In

4.5
(1543)
Drive-in movie theater
The Dixie Twin Drive-In is a classic drive-in movie theater located in Dayton, Ohio. It features two large screens showing current Hollywood films from Thursday through Sunday. The theater offers a nostalgic 1950s experience and uses state-of-the-art digital projectors for high-quality viewing. In addition to the movies, the theater provides a variety of concessions including burgers, wings, pizza, and reasonably priced popcorn.
Dixie Twin Drive-In is such a fun and nostalgic experience! There’s nothing like watching a movie under the stars, and they do it right here. The audio comes through crystal clear on your radio, the picture quality is great, and the double feature pricing makes it a great value for families or date night. We loved the laid-back vibe, friendly staff, and how well-organized everything was - even on busy nights. The snack bar has all the classics (popcorn, candy, nachos), and everything was fresh and reasonably priced. It’s a true local gem that makes for an unforgettable night out. Highly recommend supporting this piece of Americana!

I loved going to the drive ins growing up. It had been years since I had been to one. I finally went to this one on 9-5-2024. I was very disappointed. The concession stand had only been open for thirty minutes and I went to get a couple hot dogs and was told they didn't have any so I ordered two hamburgers. On the site it said they would be serving their full menu but, didn't have any hot dogs. Employee gives me one hamburger and says the other one will be ready in six minutes. I told the employee never mind just give me my money back for the second one cause I didn't have time to wait because the movie had already started and I didn't want to miss anymore than I need too. The first movie was done and the half show came on for you to go to the restroom or concession stand. That little break used to be just for that reason but, the concession stand had already closed and we still had a whole other movie to watch. The first movie started at 9pm by 10:30pm the concession stand was already closed. I was thirsty and wanted to get something to drink and couldn't due to them closing just an hour after opening. I was very disappointed. Back when I was growing up the concession stand stayed open pretty much until the last movie was just about over. Now I know why people decide to bring their own snacks, food and drinks. I don't know how they are still in businesses when they are not making no money with the concession stand when they are not staying open like they should be. I am so disappointed with this drive in. I am happy to see that drive ins still exist but, the experience is definitely not like it used to be. The women's bathroom was not in good shape at all either. Only like five toilets out of like twelve. Two stalls had shower curtains as doors. Two stalls didn't even have a door or shower curtain for privacy and the fifth stall had a door but, no lock. Just overall rundown. The price to get in wasn't bad at all considering I got to watch two movies. I am disappointed with the rest of the situation. This place could definitely use an upgrade and the concession stand should be open all the way up until the last ten minutes of the last movie. Doesn't do any good to call them to get questions answered because nobody answers the phone no matter what time you call. Don't bother asking the employee taking payments because they don't know a damn thing. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the bathroom cause I didn't bring my phone with me to take pictures with.
Doneva B — Google review
Prices are not bad for 2 movies. Adults (13+) $10, Children (5-12) $5 Children under 4 Free. 2 Screens, 2 movies on each screen. Indoor bathrooms & concession/snack bar. Movies run Friday-Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday at 915pm. Gates open at 815pm.

The Dixie Twin Drive-In is such a cool spot and honestly one of my favorite places to go in Dayton. It’s got that old-school vibe that makes you feel like you stepped back in time, but in the best way possible. I like that you can just roll up in your car, grab some snacks, and enjoy a movie under the stars. There’s something about watching a film outside with a bunch of other cars around that just feels way more fun than a regular theater. The prices are super fair too, especially since you usually get a double feature. It feels like a steal compared to the regular theater where one ticket costs more than both movies here. The snack bar is awesome—tons of choices, from popcorn and candy to bigger stuff like nachos and burgers. Honestly, half the fun is just walking over there and loading up on food before the second movie starts. The staff is always nice and keeps things moving quickly, and the whole place has a really laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. It’s clean, family-friendly, and just a chill spot overall. If you’re in Dayton and want a fun night that’s a little different, the Dixie Twin Drive-In is perfect.

My favorite place to watch movies all summer and then some ♡ affordable is #1 these days and glad prices have not jumped astronomically with our current economy. Always friendly hard working staff. Accommodating for all people. Handicap accessible, but definitely bring someone to open the bathroom door if you're wheelchair bound and have issues opening yourself.

Food was priced cheap and was actually decent. Admission was a good price too. Kids had a good time. Staff was very helpful when our car battery died during the second movie. They have jump boxes to help you. Will be returning soon.

The Ethiopian restaurant Nanyea Restaurant Coffee House & Bar serves up delicious food that will satisfy even the most discriminating eater. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes, all of which are specially made to deliver on flavor. If you're not a fan of onions, be sure to let the waitstaff know ahead of time so they can adjust your dish accordingly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for winding down after a long day.
Nanyea Restaurant is incredible! My wife and I decided to stop here as part of our plan to eat food from all over the world, and let me tell you, it was well worth it! I personally had never tried Ethiopian food, and it is now one of my favorites. There was tons of flavor in every dish! I will be returning to try more very soon! Upon entering, we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly. The restaurant is very cozy and has cool decorations! The service was outstanding and everyone was working with a smile! I can't wait to return! Nanyea is a must try for anyone wanting to expand their horizons!

My spouse and I went there today and it was wonderful!! The beef and chicken were perfectly cooked and the marinade was awesome. All of the veggies were just as good, with lots of varieties of flavors. We both got tea and coffee and they were delicious too! The coffee was of great quality. I love the colorful moody lights of the bar and the warm colors. Very inviting! Our waitress was also very friendly and helpful. We had a great experience! The prices were also very reasonable for the portion sizes. I'm very happy with our visit.

What a fantastic place! Dayton is so fortunate to have a restaurant that serves authentic and delicious Ethiopian fare. The prices are excellent for the generous amount of food you get, and I appreciate all of the vegan options. It has been a long time since I've been surprised by a restaurant experience. Good food, good value, good service—this is definitely my new favorite.

We stopped by for a dinner along our way to Tennessee, and this place is a real drop of natural inspiring simplicity among the artificial culture of America! Was our first time tasing Ethiopian food and the food was amazing! surprisingly delicious. Their vegan platter is a taste bomb, we loved everything, specially lentils and beets, and salad. Well, everything! On the way back we will stop for their authentic coffee with the intense, was late for that. Thanks to chef and our waiter!

A group of us wanted to try African food and found this nice Ethiopian restaurant. For those looking for flavor and heat, I definitely recommend it. It's a nice locally owned restaurant, a little on the small size compared to franchise restaurants. I highly recommend reservations to ensure you get in when you want. The woman taking care of us didn't consider herself a waitress but a runner. I'm not sure if this is a cultural thing, as she does the job of a waitress. She was also the only server, but as I said, it is a small dining room. Truly, the only downside is no ticket at the end of the meal. You go up to pay once you are done. Our bill was on point to our calculations.

4/24/25 Can't believe it's been a year since I had Nanyea Eithiopian cuisine! So awesome. So delicious. Tofu tibs fantastic. Injera firfir excellent flavor. Great vegan feast!! See photos including menu. Wish I ived closer..... Can't wait to return! 4/7/24 On the eve of the Solar Eclipse! Back again for more takeout....love this place! Great music. Great atmosphere. But especially great food. Even when waiting for takeout to be prepared, I feel like I have been welcomed to Eithiopia! 10/21/23 Once again, a fantastic meal! Ful as an appetizer....fava beans mashed with tomatoes and jalapeños served with toasted pita bread. Kitfo...beef spiced with oregano, Dora wat...chicken butter stew, beef tibs, and a delicious vegetarian combo. Strong Jebena coffee for dessert served with frankincense incense all while listening to wonderful Eithiopian traditional music! 2/9/23 Back again for more of Nanyea's excellent cuisine! Remains a great welcoming 🙏 restaurant with excellent upbeat Eithiopian music which makes me smile. Outstanding prompt service. The vegetarian combo platter remains my favorite with cabbage/potatoes, yellow peas, red lentils, collards, and beet dishes all served on injera flat bread. Excellent meat dish options available as well. Come on by and enjoy a tasty relaxing meal. 3/1/22 Still awesome food, service, and music. Jebena coffee service delicious. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options 4/24/21 I am updating my post. Ate here today and again the food was delicious, the service welcoming and efficient, and the wait for meal very short. The delightful eithiopian music playing is so relaxing . Once again I wished I lived closer than 2.5 hours! A definite return is planned! Misir was awesome! 1/21/21 Back again... excellent veggie combo and tofu tibs to go... disappeared while sitting in car ...delicious as always! Thanks 😊 Original post 2019 What a great find! I LOVED the Eithiopian coffee with Jebena (which we had for dessert). Jebena is a delicious strong coffee served in little expresso cups with a side of burning incense-- the aroma of the incense mixed with the taste of the coffee was heavenly! What a treat! The meal was also delicious...my favorite is the vegetarian combination platter served with injera, the flat Eithiopian sourdough bread made with teff flour. Cozy and comfortable setting with great Eithiopian music playing. Wish I lived closer but this will be my go to place in Dayton for sure!

Fast food restaurant
Chick-fil-A is a popular fast-food chain known for its delicious chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, and sides. Customers appreciate the excellent food quality and customer service. The grilled chicken sandwich is highly recommended for its tender and perfectly seasoned chicken. The menu offers diverse options including fruit with chicken nuggets and good kids meal choices. Additionally, the spacious parking lot and welcoming staff contribute to a pleasant dining experience.
This Chick-fil-A location is incredibly convenient, situated right in the middle of a large shopping plaza and near the main highways 70 and 75. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making the experience even better. The food was fresh, clean, and perfectly cooked. This might be the best Chick-fil-A location I’ve visited in a very long time. Highly recommend!

The employees are always nice but the drive thru takes forever to get through. When they remodeled it was meant to use all the lanes under the underpass and this location does not which makes things take forever. Please consider using both lanes that were added on for faster service.

Man, I finally tried Chick-fil-A and wow… what a letdown. The wrap had zero flavor and was cold like it came straight out the fridge. The chicken sandwich? Soggy, kinda raw-looking, and just gross. Everyone hypes it up like it’s heaven in a bun, but I don’t see it. Total “yuck” moment.

Since the store has been renovated there is more parking for people to go inside. From the looks there is an additional line for those to go through in the driveway however it’s giving extremely slow! Like Huber Heights chick fill a. I ended up backing out of the line, luckily no one was behind me and I went into the restaurant for a to go order. But lines was still long and took a while for food. Didn’t even receive the right order which was noticed after going home.

This specific location has gone downhill and fast. Drive through is always congested because they operate it like a McDs instead of a chic fil a. They have two lanes and then they bottleneck it down in to one. Mobile doesn’t have its own lane etc., it was designed for two and has an available second lane the entire way yet they clearly don’t know how to operate it. Every trip is about a 25min drive through wait. In drive at 10:36, food at 11:02. Embarrassing

Diner
George's Family Restaurant is a long-standing establishment in Dayton, Ohio, known for its homestyle American classics and informal atmosphere. With over 25 years of experience, the restaurant prides itself on treating patrons like family rather than just customers. The menu features a variety of American favorites along with Greek options, including omelettes and scramblers for breakfast, sandwiches and burgers for lunch, and steak or meatloaf platters for dinner.
Was looking for a place to eat while driving east and decided to give this a chance based on reviews. Overall it turned out to be a good decision as the food was tasty, service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was very much 50s diner which we enjoy. The chili cheese fries were good overall but I would have liked the fries crispier. The salad with chicken strips was outstanding with the chicken being the best part. Highly recommend this salad. The biscuits and gravy were decent and flavorful and I would get them again but the biscuit could have been a bit fluffier and crumblier. My dad enjoyed the liver and onions especially the mashed potatoes he had with it. Overall well worth the stop.

We recently visited this family-style restaurant, and we instantly felt right at home. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, exactly what you'd hope for in a comforting, home-cooked meal experience I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, which arrived hot, flavorful, and perfectly crispy. It paired wonderfully with delicious home fried potatoes and fluffy, buttery biscuits—truly the perfect hearty breakfast We also enjoyed the Belgian waffle topped generously with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It was an absolute delight, tasting just like the funnel cakes you get at the fair—crispy, sweet, and utterly delicious. The side order of biscuits and gravy was equally impressive, rich and satisfying, rounding off our meal beautifully Special thanks to Sherri at the front door, who warmly greeted every guest with a smile, making us feel like family from the moment we stepped through the door. She puts the "F" in Family! We'll definitely be returning again!

I’m not sure why the ratings are as high as they are. The place could use a deep cleaning and food could use some seasoning. However, they do have farm fresh eggs for sale by the carton for $6 so that is a highlight.

From the second we walked in the vibes were really chill, The staff is laid back and casual and it seems like a lot of regulars come in as the staff recognized a few people by name. Within a minute of taking our seat we were attended to. Service was quick and consistent, The food I got was phenomenal, and I was pleasantly surprised that we each got an entree, steak fries, and a shared appetizer for less than $50. I greatly enjoyed George’s and look forward to visiting it in the future!

This place is fantastic! My family really enjoyed their food. We ordered sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits with home fries and turkey sausage and egg on a croissant. So good. I'm make sure to try the dinner menu next time, bc I'm definitely coming back!

I've been coming to this diner for almost 30 years since I was a kid. It's the best in Dayton! The staff is friendly and the food is great! Best B.L.T. I've had in years.
