Seafood restaurant
Located in Dayton, Ohio, the Oakwood Club has been a beloved dining spot since 1962. This upscale yet cozy restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere along with a classic surf 'n' turf menu featuring quality steaks, fresh seafood, and an impressive selection of wines. The charming decor and attentive service make it an ideal setting for intimate dinners or special celebrations.
I really hate leaving this review because it will make it even harder to get a seat. :) I really love this place. I use to say it was the atmosphere, service and food. Now it’s also the pricing. It’s really a great value. Last night my wife had the steak burger and fries which was huge plus a house salad. I had prime rib and sweet potato plus a Caesar salad. We both had wine and split the peanut butter cheese cake/vanilla ice crème. It was just over $100. The wine pours were generous, my prime rib was probably a top 5 meal for me and the dessert was a 10/10. We didn’t have reservations so we did wait 1 hour 20 minutes on a Thursday. Having that long a wait on a week day means you are doing something right. They don’t rush you at all. It’s a great experience. Plan it being a whole thing though. You can probably get in quicker if you get there around 8pm during the week or right at 4pm.

Cool spot for a swanky steakhouse. The service at the bar was a bit slow and had to have a different server take my food order. Food came out quick. The french onion soup was delicious, pefect cheese toasting. The prime rib was amazingly tender. There wasnt much bark development on the outside so you got the raw essence of the prime rib. Still tasty. Mashed potatos were good as well. Drinks were good.

An interesting establishment. The first time I went on a Saturday there was over an hour wait and decided not to try and eat there. The second time I went on a Tuesday around 7:00 and there was still a half hour wait. So be prepared for that. Also, the demographic in this restaurant is 90% senior citizens. It feels a little out of place and dated as you are maybe 40 or under.. Low lighting, very dark inside, stained glass, wood panels on the wall. They will take your jacket at the door which is nice. Waited at the bar and got $10 Coke and rum, they were well made and they did not skip on the alcohol. When seated the appetizers were a good variety and although the bread in the carpaccio felt stale, it seemed to somehow be delicious. They'll serve you bread and butter regardless so if you don't want to get an appetizer you don't have to. However the pumpernickel bread is salted so beware of that. Once I got my main dish I opted for the cheeseburger which was under $20, as the bigger dishes were $20 or $30. The burger came with the choice of potato chips and since I was at this restaurant that seemed a little fancier and high-end I figured the potato chips would be maybe homemade but they seemed like lays ruffles chips. The cheeseburger was a hefty portion and you won't be hungry afterwards. You have to build the burger when it comes as all of the toppings come on the side. Definitely a fun experience, seems slightly overpriced for what you are getting in some aspects but you can make that judgment call for yourself

Best Steak i ate in a while , escargot 11/10 , onion soup amazing definitely coming back , and server Aimee amazing very polite talkative understandable she was the best . Overall very happy with my first time here .

My favorite place to get a steak in all of Dayton. Always delicious and consistent. Plenty of options beyond steak to choose from, and a wide variety of outstanding sides. Lots of bar seating but you can only dine at the tables. Fills up quickly on the weekend so be sure to get there early! Plenty of parking at both the front and back of the building.

They have the best prime rib in town!! Love the ambiance and the food definitely! Prime Rib and garlic mashed potatoes my go to meal here!
Jennifer F — Google review
Had an amazing meal here. I was in a time capsule and transported back 30 years. Started at the bar, intended to eat there. Turns out it’s drinks only. 15 minutes and 1 cocktail later I had a table. Amanda had fantastic suggestions on the menu and I had my best meal of 2025. Bacon wrapped scallops, house salad (get the bleu cheese), prime rib with mashed potatoes and finished with a slice of cheesecake. This restaurant runs so efficiently. Everything was the perfect temp and came out at the right time. The banter with the bartenders and the servers was on point. I’m in love with this place and will be back the next time I’m driving through.

The Oakwood Club is a Dayton-area classic, and it continues to deliver when it comes to food, drinks, and service. On our recent visit, everything we ordered was outstanding. The espresso martini was perfectly balanced, and the bananas foster cocktail was rich, smooth, and delicious. For entrées, we tried the halibut and the filet mignon — both were cooked flawlessly, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The servers were attentive, professional, and welcoming, which always makes dining here a pleasure. The only reason I can’t give a full five-star rating is due to the unprofessional behavior of the short, dark-haired manager who often reminds staff and guests that the restaurant belonged to her grandfather. On our visit, she appeared to be under the influence, slurring her words and nodding off at the bar. Even more disappointing, she was openly speaking negatively about regular customers and treating staff members rudely in front of guests. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we or friends have noticed this behavior, and it creates an uncomfortable atmosphere when she is present. That being said, the rest of the staff is excellent, and the kitchen consistently produces top-tier food. We now simply try to visit on nights when this manager isn’t working, because aside from that issue, The Oakwood Club remains one of our favorite places in the area.

Natasha was such a pleasant waitress!!! She made sure me and my man date night was a success! Food was amazing! I had the fire grilled salmon and my man had the ribs and steak and it was A1! Natasha thank you love for your amazing service! Keep up the good work! I tore my plate up!!! Didn’t need a Togo box lol…..CHECK PHOTO

The Texas brisket platter was 40% fat and not worth the price. No bark at all, very little smoke taste like it had been cooked in an oven. However, the beans were excellent. The waitress was friendly but got my order wrong, slaw instead of the fries I ordered. The meal upset my stomach and I have a cast iron one.

It's an okay place overall. Food quality is mediocre and service can be spotty. The big plus, it's open late and it does best fast food for a late night craving. Getting seating and acknowledged at first was a very long process. Maybe understaffed? Waited 15 minutes to finally get seated in a mostly empty restaurant late night, and was acknowledge twice that I needed a table but with no hostess to do the seating. And then 19 more minutes to get acknowledged by the server once seated (yeah, timed it after a few minutes went by, so it was likely closer to 25 minutes)! Was about ready to walk out, but luckily the server got it me just in time. That's said. Once acknowledged, the server was absolutely outstanding. She was a terrific gal and very attentive. So I'm blaming the overall struggle on bad local night management. So 5 stars to that server! Zero stars to hostess and management. As for the food. It's just okay. The house salad is straight up minimal chain restaurant quality, but will say it was reasonable size. And the Bone Fire Grill. Marginal quality on all the meats, so on par with big chain quality stuff. That said. The seasoning and flavor was quite good on the items, specifically on the sirloin and smoked wings. Overall. I'd never chose this place for a lunch of dinner. But when it comes to a late night craving when all else other than fast food is closed, this place then is a win. So the Doneky shall be back later night, for better or worse.

This place was alright. Nice vibe during my visit. I ordered the Bonefire combo. My food was good. Steak 🥩 was overcooked for my taste but they didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked. I half ssa read the menu and didn’t pay attention that it was coming with steak. My chicken was also a lil factor but it was good nonetheless. My ribs were mediocre probably the worst thing on the platter. Wings were pretty Bomb with all of the house saucers. The link/sausage was bomb also. I’d Mos Def do it again. I’m a have 2 make my way back next time I’m in Ohio. So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. 👌🏾

We went to Smoky Bones last night. My hubby wanted onion rings. The appetizer is $10 so he decided to get onion rings as a side with his chicken wings. The side is $6.99. I ordered the 8 boneless chicken wings with bbq beans (which are amazing). When they brought out my boneless wings, I had 5 normal size wings and 3 that looked like batter clumps. Not joking. They were the size of a quarter. (Pic attached/I had already eaten one normal piece, I was hungry) The 5 that I had were good. I let it slide cause the waiter seemed new and a little anxious. The hubby's bone-in wings were great. Paid the bill, which was $58. Got home and realized they had charged us for the appetizer onion rings at $10. So 5 boneless wings and an extra $3 menu item. 😖. If you haven't tried the hot honey sauce, definitely do. Just check your bill out before you leave and let them know if they bring you three pieces of batter instead of chicken. My bad, I know.
Mary M — Google review
Good service, great vibe, good food. Overall, worth the visit from out of town. My only reason for 4 stars was the long wait to be greeted, but for a Wednesday, they were busy. Our server, Natasha, was quite lovely and we were served food quickly 🥰
Kristin E — Google review
The service was great. Pretzels were really good, but the rest of the food was mediocre. Especially disappointed in the baked potato topped with brisket. There was barely any meat, and the potato was overcooked.

Honestly didn't have high expectations based on other reviews but was presently surprised. I got the filet medallions and they were super tasty. Would definitely come back!

I have eaten here three times now and each time it has been a great experience. The dining area is quite nice and service was quick and pleasant. The takeout service here is also really great and they prepare the food quickly. I really like their beef and their Pho with meatballs was great too. My wife especially likes the food here and thinks they have great chicken.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant before, and the food has always been great. However, this time was a big letdown. They burnt two of my Golden Crepe orders—not just one but two! It’s frustrating because I paid a hefty sum for these, and I’m genuinely concerned about how this could affect my health. I hope they improve their quality control because this experience was far below their usual standard.

Staff was super nice and the food is amazing the server was so nice and overall my family loved it 10/10 restaurant!! Will definitely come here again!!

I'm sorry to say my very First time going to this restaurant the food was NOT GOOD here. I ordered steam dumpling, won ton soup, sweet sour pork with steam rice. The dumpling for me had a funny taste. Won ton soup ..... Sweet sour pork bite size meat pieces were chewy, not enough sauce to cover meal. Rice was hard, not sure if it was fully cooked or just old.

The atmosphere is laid back, televisions running in the background but not too loud that it takes away from the experience. The menus are mind blowing, the list and pages will blow you away! 🥰 The fact that it is a Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant will have you doubting your choices. I ordered the pineapple chicken and it was delicious! Enough to satisfy hunger in one plate! I must add the server was very patient with us as we or I had no clue what to order. Very sweet human, I appreciate her patience.

Great local Vietnamese bistro known for their Pho menu per colleagues at a conference in the area. They can get busy at lunch time but service was friendly and fast. Food was so good I ate lunch here 2 out of 3 days I was in town and uncharacteristically for me I tried something different on my second visit - of the two I favored the beef sate and meatball - but everything was delicious. A few booths and tables allow them to rearrange and handle groups of all sizes.

Pho was so good. The combo appetizer was very big and good value for the money. The service was slow and kept having to ask for the same things over and over but food was good. Would definitely go here again. Also I would say the menu was very very overwhelming. It was too big.

LongHorn Steakhouse is a beloved casual dining chain that captures the essence of American cuisine with its focus on grilled beef and other hearty dishes, all set in a charming ranch-style atmosphere. While many patrons rave about their juicy steaks and flavorful options like the Parmesan crusted chicken, experiences can vary depending on service. The menu has seen some changes over time, with fewer items available than before, which may leave some long-time fans longing for past favorites.
As a family we had dinner here. My wife loves the Parmesan crusted chicken. I got the kids steak. It was very juicy and yummy. We had the waitress Mrs. Stephanie, you are very lucky if you have her as a waitress. If there was a school for a servers, she should run the place! if I could give this place 10 stars instead of 5, I would that place is delicious!! I dare you to go there tomorrow for lunch, they have great specials.

The cut of steak was nice but a little fatty! I asked for no salt but there was no seasoning. I asked for extra chives which are the best if any restaurant that I've had and I was given extra everything which was a very nice surprise! Big salad it was just bulky! 😋🥰

Sweet potato with brown sugar and whipped butter was not only mouthwatering to the eyes, but tasted just delicious as it looked There’s plenty of conversations going on so you can bring a family kids has a nice warm ambience. Service was fantastic very attentive.

I usually go to another Longhorn than here and always have enjoyed the food and service. I was at the Miller Ln Longhorn location with a group of 4 friends. It was 4p and the restaurant was not very busy. Our waitress was very nice and got our drinks right away. However, it took 15-20 minutes to take our order. It about 20 minutes to get salads and about 30min to get our entrees. The problem must've been with the kitchen or chef staff. We joked with our waitress and asked her did she have to cook our food too which she just chuckled and didn't apologize for the wait. I would've let this go if my food was good. My steak was overdone. The grilled shrimp was way over seasoned and salty. I started to send it back but didn't bother. I will stick to going to the Moraine location.
Kimberly A — Google review
I would rate the food but we sat down for over 15 minutes and not one person acknowledged our existence. Before you say maybe they were busy, nope. The restaurant was half empty with plenty staff. We were passed by three different servers several times but nothing. Avoid and go next door to Red Robin. Service has been great, fast, and enjoyable.
James D — Google review
My food was good but the service was terrible!!!! We sat 15 minutes before we were acknowledged. I had to ask for a manager. We finally got a drink after 25 minutes. We could have left, but we were already there and hungry. The service was nice, but our server was the bartender, which made timing even worse. We got a drink refill almost when we were done eating. It was just not a good experience. The manager never came back to ensure we were being served. And no!!!! The fact that the food was good is not a forgiving factor. I'm just really surprised because they were not busy at all. Maybe next time it will be better 🤷🏽‍♀️

Lucky's Taproom & Eatery, located in the Oregon District, is a laid-back bar that offers an extensive selection of craft beers and pub grub with vegan options. The late-night spot takes pride in its innovative vegan-friendly menu, featuring items like vegan pesto grilled cheese, fried pickles, nachos, jerk chikin, soy burgers, loaded hot dogs, and more. All vegan dishes are prepared on a dedicated grill to avoid cross-contamination.
Great location & cool no-gimmicks vibe. Just a chill bar with super good food. Almost everything on the menu has the ability to be made vegan - it blew my mind. Very extensive vegan offerings - many of which are made in house. I was massively impressed and very grateful it popped up in my happy cow search while traveling. I definitely hope to stop in again.

Lots of gluten free options! Our serves was spectacular. I didn't get her name but the tall one with her dark purple hair pulled back and glasses. She was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and asked detailed questions about my request to make sure my food was safe to eat for me. A+

This is my second visit to your establishment, and on both occasions, I found the quality of the food to be below expectations. During this visit, I also noted that the host/bartender's demeanor was somewhat discourteous. The chicken quesadilla contained a minimal amount of chicken, cheese, and other ingredients, making it unsatisfactory. I would not order it again. The burger was average and unremarkable, and the fries were overcooked and excessively hard. I would be hard pressed to eat here again
John H — Google review
Vegan options galore, that are tasty to boot. The vegan chocolate cake is one of the best I've had, and it held up perfectly til the next day.
Sarah — Google review
I've been going to Lucky's on and off for approximately the past 15 years. I'm not a down-town, hanger-outer per say. You couldn't call me a regular anywhere. However, if I want a laid back place for a fancy-ass beer, a decent burger, where people will leave me be, I wouldn't be ashamed to take a lunch date or my own mother to, that doesn't have that absolutely sterile, gray-modern vibe, then Lucky's is a-okay in my book. Their beer selection never disappoints, the atmosphere is neither pretentious, nor trashy. The beer-battered chicken tenders are solid; however, I'm a little disappointed they don't give you a selection of which beer to batter them in anymore. Their vegan chocolate cake is quite nice, as it's always been. So, if you want a perfectly average experience, for a perfectly average lunch (Reminder: Average AIN'T BAD...it means CONSISTENT) you'll find no other venue as hospitable!

Currently sitting at 4.5 stars at over 1500 reviews, perhaps you should take this review with a grain of salt, but it’s been a long time since I’ve felt out of place and completely unwelcome at an establishment. To paint the picture, I walked in with a polite smile and eagerness to order a nice drink and good food. I was wearing a NASA Halloween costume. Nothing about my image was off-putting. Still, the bartender addressed me as if my mere presence disgusted him. I felt uncomfortable and left without completing my order. I didn’t make a fuss about it or cause a scene. I don’t dine in where I’m unwelcome. For reference, I travel the world. So perhaps my expectations of customer service and acceptance are different from the culture here. But I didn’t like it. The only voice/power I have is in my review.

Stopped in Labor Day weekend of 2025. From Columbus not usually in Dayton. First of all the server was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very accommodating as we had some special requests and some dietary restrictions. Food was very good ! Burgers great ! Chicken panini sandwich was awesome !! Soup great. Would recommend for sure. Will stop back next time I'm in town.

This was one of the most wild dining experiences I've had in awhile, bucke up. Came here on Halloween evening with my wife. Place was dead except the bar. We sat at a table and that is when our adventure began. We ordered the chicken tenders w/ sweet potatoes fries and a avocado BLT w/ regular fries and ordered a moscow mule and whisey and sprite at the same time. Our drinks never came. My wife got her order (without her modifications, not tomato which isnt a big deal) and I got a chicken sandwich. When I told the waitress my order was wrong she said she was sorry and would comp my part of the meal. That was not necessary but appreciated, we also mentioned our missing drinks. Waitress apologized again and got my drink right but rang my wife in a margarita? My chicken tenders finally arrived. Food was great as usual but the drinks were tough. My wife's was undrinkable. We ended up asking for her drink to be taken off the bill. After finishing our food, we waited 15 minutes then had to go up to the waitress to cash us out. When we got the bill my drink was rang as a stoli and coke and my tender meal was till on the tab. We asked the waitress about it and she got an attitude and went to the register then came back and said our whole meal was comped and we were good to go. We felt really bad and tried to insist on paying. We would have liked to pay and give her a tip, especially since we went to support a local business. Food 5/5. Service high/5. We are pro small business and 420 friendly. But this waitress was in the space time continuum. She stood at the register with a food menu trying to remember ours and the 1 other table in the restaurants order for a very long time (she got their drinks and food order wrong as well). We will be back. But may stick to sitting at the bar.

Blind Bob’s is a popular tavern in Dayton that features burgers, sandwiches, and pub grub. Patrons also love the venue for its trivia, karaoke, and live music. The atmosphere is hip and urban with a great selection of beer.
Lovely place with lovely staff and delicious food. I always suggest going to eat here for lunch because the food is delicious, like many of the restaurants out in Oregon, but the price point is reasonable by comparison 💖 Also great for nightlife shows. Me and my girlfriend got together at this bar. I have lived, laughed, and loved at this bar, which has the most supportive bathroom graffiti in the world.

BEST FOOD IN THE OREGON DISTRICT! AJ is a genius in the kitchen! Bar staff is super chill but attentive. Always a welcoming vibe whether it's open mic or trivia night. Edit; to the owner, STRAIGHT FACTS! He really is!

A great bar with exceptional food and service. Been coming here for almost a decade now and it’s a gem that has only gotten better with time. Everything I’ve had from the menu has been amazing, but the pickle soup is out of this world. 10/10 get it every time. No visit is complete without it for me!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Bartender zero stars, unprofessional and no customer service skills! First and last time! I've heard good things about place but the staff was hands down the rudest I've ever experienced at any kind of bar or restaurant, across the board.

Came here tour managing a friend's band. The food was incredible, but what I want to speak most to is the impeccable treatment the band and crew got! Rarely are we treated this well by venues. If you have a chance to book here, DO IT!

The food, atmosphere, and people were great. We got pretzel sticks for an appetizer and they were so good. I got a fancy pants burger and my boyfriend got the big cheese. Also one of the servers gave a piece of cake from a birthday party from earlier in the day.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I've heard good things about the owner but the staff was hands down the rudest I've ever experienced at any kind of bar or restaurant, across the board. Some things can't be made up and I'd rather not drag anybody TOO specifically, but I will never be back under any circumstance. I hope every person who was involved in my awful experience here has the day they deserve. :)

Seems like a great place to go see live shows! The venue is small, so you know the crowd knows who they're seeing or have some sort of knowledge about the performers. They have a decent amount of drink selections. I didn't get to try the food as we got there pretty late at night. I'm not sure if there are other places that play live music in the area but I do recommend this place for those who enjoy live music!

The Trolley Stop is a historic tavern that has been in operation since 1839, offering a unique and charming experience. With live music, a pool table, free books, an outdoor patio, and a party room, it provides various entertainment options. The eatery is renowned for its made-from-scratch food using locally sourced ingredients and fine dining cooking techniques. It's an ideal stop between weekend shopping or exploring Dayton's Oregon District with its classic interior and picturesque seasonal outdoor dining area.
If you’re looking for a causal, cozy brunch, this is your place! The brunch food is delicious & the mimosa/Bloody Mary bar is a fun experience. Brunch in the summer is my favorite: out on the private patio, with great food and a calm atmosphere. I’m there every weekend. The accommodations for food have been a game changer. It’s hard to find a bar that has gluten free and vegan options. I can always count on something that u can eat there. Lastly, always say yes to the Herbie Dip as a side. I look forward to it every time I go!
Kaitlin K — Google review
This spot felt more geared toward drinks than dining. The food menu was quite limited, and nothing particularly stood out, so we didn’t feel inclined to try much. We did order a couple of drinks, which were just okay — nothing memorable. The outdoor seating was pleasant and probably the best part of the experience. However, the food felt overpriced for the portion sizes and didn’t quite deliver on flavor or value. Service was mediocre. Our server forgot which drinks were for whom, so we had to figure it out ourselves once they arrived. Additionally, no plates or napkins were brought out with the food, and we had to request them after being served, which led to further delays. Overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations, and I’m not sure it’s a place I would choose to revisit.

8/12/24 adding....Trolley Stop thank you for that information! 🙂 My friend, my mother and myself went there on August 9th to continue celebrating my 50th birthday from the day before. We had never been there before so I said I wanted to do a birthday lunch. The Trolley Stop was the place that I wanted to go. Parking was not horrible considering they had the Oregon district blocked off for the weekend. We came around 1:30 almost 2 o'clock, and it was not crowded at all. Our server was very courteous and made sure that everything was all right with our food. We all ended up getting salads and the salad was delicious! The only downside to going to the Trolley Stop (and they can correct me if I am wrong) But according to the words that was printed on the steps, the restrooms are upstairs, which is two flights of stairs. My mom has a walker so getting to the restroom would have been impossible for her. I don't know if they actually have a restroom downstairs but for anyone who has a walker or wheelchair...going to the restroom would probably be out of the question. But I could be wrong. The price of our salad was reasonable. It was a large salad and it was only $8. I would definitely visit again but not with my mom as she uses a walker.

I enjoyed my evening at The Trolley Stop. My husband's class reunion met there to hang out. When I walked in, there were people standing around socializing and having a nice time. I recently visited the Trolley Stop in Dayton and had a fantastic time there. Nestled in the vibrant Oregon District, this spot is a true gem with its inviting patio and eclectic vibe. I tried the "Patio Pounder" cocktail, a delightful rum-based drink that was absolutely refreshing—perfect for enjoying outdoors. Another highlight was the vegan queso and chips; it was deliciously flavorful and a great option for anyone looking for vegan-friendly fare. The Trolley Stop's atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. The staff was welcoming and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Whether you're in the mood for a unique cocktail or tasty vegan snacks, the Trolley Stop in Dayton is definitely worth a visit. The Patio Pounder and vegan queso come highly recommended from my visit!

Trolley Stop has a special place in my and my fiancee's heart -- it's one of the many places in which we fell in love. It's also where we got engaged! As it was special to us, I reserved the party area and the porch for the proposal and to have a party afterwards. The entire evening was perfect, and the crew that helped out was incredibly accommodating, happy to be flexible, and genuinely gracious throughout the whole process. I could not have picked a better, more beautiful place to do it and I couldn't have imagined any different place to have a party with all of my loved ones. Trolley Stop will always be special to us for so many reasons, but atop the list is how incredible the people behind the great bar/restaurant are!

We went a little before noon on a Friday hoping for brunch, but was told that only happens on Saturday mornings. So I ordered a cup of the potato soup with bacon and cheese. That was very good although for people who want something mild might find it a bit spicy. I also had a bowl of the Tex-Mex rice and beans. It was quite a large portion as I took home about half of it. My husband ordered the jalapeno pepper grilled cheese with jelly and a cup of chili and he liked both. I tasted the grilled cheese and I also liked that. He had a cup of beer and I had iced tea to drink. The service was excellent, very friendly. When we were there, people sat both inside and outside on the patio, which looked very nice. The whole restaurant is a lot larger than you would expect just seeing it from the front. Eighties music was playing in the background very quietly. It was not a distraction. We parked out on the street, however there is a parking area next door to the restaurant called Lucky's . We will return again, hopefully for brunch next time!

Customers have been impressed by the exceptional quality of their burgers, which come with a variety of toppings. The service is quick and friendly, with minimal waiting time after placing an order. The store has implemented an efficient ordering kiosk system that ensures smooth operations.
Oh WOW! Literally THEE BEST meal we’ve had out in a long time. The garlic, the fries, the cheese, the strawberry shake. OMG! 12 stars! (Thank you ladies!)
Elizabeth R — Google review
This is a love hate kinda place for the ol' donkey. On a good day the burgers and shakes are terrific. On other days everything just plain sucks. Very inconsistent. On this visit the lobby was dirty and no table service ever since Covid just sucks. The prices are still good though. And in this visit the shake in the frosty glass was perfect and on point. So 5 tail wags from Eeyroe for the shake. A shame the place was so dirty and that table service still does not exist. Your mileage will vary here each time...
Joseph ( — Google review
Went here because it has been indicated they use tallow, however it is a totally "do it yourself" place. From the minute you arrive, you order at a kiosk, seat yourself, get your own drink, and clear your table. Older folks aren't going to be able to manage this very easily, as was noticed while I was waiting for my order. Not sure it's worth the hassle. I'm going to stick to the drive thru next time I decide to eat there. It's a shame.
Deb G — Google review
Haven't been there in a long time. Since before covid. There are no more servers with the menu to seat you. You order through a kiosk. You receive a number, and when your order is ready, your number will be announced, and you go up front and retrieve it from the counter. I had chicken fingers w fries. The chicken fingers tasted like cardboard. The fries were worse. My grandson had a hot dog from the kids' menu. It looked horrible. Nothing like the picture. He didn't even eat it. He ate some of his fries. My daughter had a cheeseburger and onion rings. It was lacking in taste also. The mil shakes were as good as always . We will continue going through the drive-through for them.
Gloria D — Google review
Whoever was working may 10 at 12:30pm drive thru, did not say anything for 10 minutes despite me constantly saying hello. Finally came on and said hello, and I waited another about 20 minutes or less for her to come take the order, despite no cars in line. Then very rude saying what they don’t have. I left. Needs better customer service etiquette if you’re going to work in hospitality.

City Barbeque is a popular chain that's all about classic barbecue served in a cozy, down-home atmosphere. Since its establishment in 1999, the restaurant has been fully committed to the art of barbeque. All their meats are smoked on-site at each location and meticulously hand-rubbed with spices, taking as long as 18 hours to achieve perfection. The sides are prepared from scratch throughout the day with the same care one would give to family.
I used the website when I placed my order. I did under guess, but there is a section if you want to sign up for rewards, which is ideal if you plan on eating here for a long time. You will open up two doors to get inside. Make your way to the right. The menu can be found high up, or they can hand you a paper menu. They take cash or credit card as payment. All the employees were helpful, and they all got along. The aroma of BBQ will make you want to order everything on the menu. They will have drinks at the end. I personally did enjoy sweet tea. There's plenty of tables and chairs for large groups. I didn't know this until I left, but they do have a drive-thru. It's very convenient if you're in a rush or you just want to eat at home. My experience was great and I would come back here.

We found this spot on Google while looking for a good place to grab some BBQ ribs during our visit to Dayton. The staff was super friendly, and the food was actually really good plus the prices were very reasonable. The reason I’m giving it 2 stars mainly because of how dirty the place was. Every single table was messy, the trash cans were overflowing to the point where people were just stacking trays and garbage on top, and even the bathroom trash was completely full. I get that they might’ve been slammed with orders, but no matter how good the food or service is, if the place looks like a dump, it’s hard to enjoy the experience. Cleanliness really needs to be a priority. I’d still recommend it for the food and prices, but they seriously need to step up their game when it comes to keeping the place clean if they want people to keep coming back.

The service here was super warm and welcoming. The atmosphere had a comforting, homey vibe that made us feel right at ease. The gentleman up front and the cashier were both incredibly nice and attentive. We ordered the ribs and greens—ribs were really good! The greens, however, had a bit too much vinegar for my taste, so I had to send mine back. That said, my mother actually enjoyed hers, so it may just come down to personal preference. Overall, a pretty good experience and I’d come back again.

My boyfriends first time eating IN a BBQ joint. He got the 3 meat 2 sides (pork belly, pulled pork & burnt ends w/ beans and Mac &cheese) I got the 2 meats/2sides (chicken turkey, tater salad and beans). The food too about 7 min to get out, which upset the manager so not only did they comp the meal but gave us the strawberry cobbler free as well!!!! Everything was AMAZING!!!

Save your $ and your tastebuds! The food is either bland (side items) or too spicy (brisket tips) and way overpriced. Also, their food sits in open containers over warming trays. The result? Dry and cold at the top, warmish underneath. Even if the food was tasty, the portions are small and you would leave hungry. The only reason I gave 1 star, is because the staff was nice and friendly!

2nd trip to OinkADoodleMooBBQ not nearly the same good experience as my 1st ! Food was still great but my counter experience with Tiffany was awful!!!! First my mother and I were only getting food until Tiffany told me my kids eat free today and every Tuesday so I got them kids meals but when checking out I was told one of my kids looked too old, when I asked the age limit I was told "when the kids don't like being called kids anymore", SAY WHAT!? Then on my receipt I notice I was charged for both kids! When I asked about the receipt I was treated extremely rude in front of my family and guy worker came up to me and only made things worse by making a fool of himself in a horrible attempt to explain the no sense of it all. To make matters worse I was bribed with a $5 bill to leave the matter alone but I did not except the money I only wanted a reasonable explanation. I had enough of the conversation and went back to sit with my family when the man worked approached us again at the table with rude comments and adding up a receipt that we already added up and agreed the receipt numbers added up correctly, my problem was with the items on the receipt. He's lucky I'm a gentleman!! Needless to say i will never return again and will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place!

Decided to get a late lunch here to go and it was overall great. Spent something around $12-15 and got a combo 2 ribs a pulled pork slider and some coleslaw with sauce on the side. Honestly this is the first place I’ve found in Ohio that has good coleslaw, it’s not life changing or anything it’s just nice to have it done right everywhere else it’s like a soup but this was a nice refreshing crisp side dish, and the bbq was great too especially the side sauce I decided to try the outlandish looking option that had fruit in it I think it was a strawberry sauce but it was super good I saved the leftover sauce in the fridge
Jason R — Google review
The pulled pork was very greasy but overall had good flavor. The sides were inedible. Potatoes looked amazing but couldn’t eat more than one because they were gross. The green beans taste like peppery lemon? and not like green beans at all. The lady who got our food was very friendly though. Overall wouldn’t go back as I couldn’t eat most of my food.

Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant chain steakhouse that offers a Southwestern twist on American cuisine, set against Texas-themed decor. With numerous locations nationwide, including two in the vicinity of Dayton, Ohio, this popular eatery is known for its delectable steaks as well as an array of other dishes such as fish, chicken, burgers, ribs, and appetizers like blooming onions.
My husband's filet was delicious. However, I gave it a 4 star because I was very disappointed in the brisket & ribs I got. The meat was dry. Get a steak. There were singers right at your table side, and there was live music outside on the patio which was nice. It's a fun place to go.
Nancy S — Google review
In a super competitive mid level steakhouse market, I believe Longhorn currently sets the bar. Texas Roadhouse does win on price point though as your dollar will go much further here than the competition and the experience is a good one for the value. On this, like all visits, the food is hit or miss based on what items you get. Steak is always a solid middle of the road experience and priced reasonable. Deviled eggs worth skipping since nothing special there. Salads always very basic, but do the trick as a starter. The potato is sometimes average and sometimes above average. Overall, this chain is the most budget friendly with average quality and the best prices, making it the choice for family outings. But for the best quality at a slightly higher price point and higher quality experience, I'll go with Longhorn when dining along or only as a couple.

They were busy but the wait was only about 15 min for our party of 3 and was more then able to accommodate a special request for seating. Steak and salmon was good. A little overpriced and I went with drink for longer then I'd like to admit. A little loud too, since we apparently got seated between 2 different large birthday parties, lol.

I decided to go to Texas roadhouse after getting a 5 off coupon for my birthday 🎂 I use wait list feature on the website to confirm my seats because that place get busy. I ordered my tall beer and boneless wings my girl got pop and salad 🥗 the server took our entrees order and 3 min after getting that here come our dinner. They put us on this super Lil table where we had barely any room to eat the place wasn't busy no need to rush the food out. My Girlfriend had to stop eating her salad so her main dish doesn't get cold and my food came out cold. The potatoe was warm the prime rib was cold and Old like it waa made sat or sun and sit out all day. They gave me cold au jus in the same thing they put the roll butter in not nearly enough to cover a 16 once prime rib. The Dinner rolls Great atmosphere always good Greet at the door good. Server decent. Overall I will be back for rolls and catfish i will go somewhere more professional for my steak.

Took 3 bites of my sandwich and noticed there was a large piece of paper (looked like paper that is usually to separate hamburgers or cheese from sticking) in my burger. It wasn’t even on my meat part, it was placed between my bun and lettuce, so it felt pretty intentional, which I hope it was more so than accidental because I don’t know how that’s possible for an accident like that to happen- I feel like that’s pure negligence atp. The server was kind but the manager acted as if it was no big deal and didn’t say sorry or anything (we aren’t ones to make a big deal out of food incidents but looking back at it, we should’ve made a wayyyy bigger deal than what we did). The manager was so cheap that she only took off my meal, and didn’t handle my fiances meal as well (which was only $15). A good manager would’ve handled a measly cheap dinner especially over an health and safety food incident like that. Service gets a 3 ONLY because of how the manager handled it, otherwise my server was great. Food gets a 2 because the fries & rice were good, other than that I feel it’s pretty self explanatory. Also, my fiances steak was dryer than the desert. Ts took about 3 solid minutes of chewing before you could choke it down. Overall, pretty disappointed the more I think about how the manager could’ve easily handled it to actually make it seem like she cared. (By the way, the server told us the kitchen manager was actually back there, so that’s clearly a concern if this is happening with them there). Also weird how most of the time, absolutely any negative reviews receive no feedback, but most of the 5 star reviews do. Not sure if it’s even a manager thing that they act like they don’t care, but it seems like an owner thing as well.

Our visit to Texas Roadhouse was spot on for a random Wednesday night! 🧅 Right from the start, the Onion Bloom set the bar with its crispy, flavorful petals. The steaks were the star, especially the Ribeye, cooked to tender perfection with just the right amount of smokiness 🥩🔥 The fried catfish was just what we expected with the cornmeal nice and crispy. The fresh, crisp salads were the perfect side, rounding off a meal that was as delicious as it was satisfying 🌽🥗 Service was great, making our visit even more enjoyable with the atmosphere lively and welcoming. Texas Roadhouse always delivers on all fronts as we usually know what to expect. Regulars that will continue to be Regulars! 🙌 #TexasRoadhouse #SteakLovers #WednesdayVibes

O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar is a casual chain eatery that serves classic American comfort food and offers take-out options along with a full bar. Customers can enjoy a variety of American and steakhouse dishes at this establishment, which also provides ample seating in the bar area. The restaurant prides itself on its friendly and attentive staff, with particular praise for bartender Clare.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were told a 20-30 minute wait. I believe our wait was actually faster than that and soon we were seated. We were given our menus to look over a bit then we ordered. They started us off by asking what drinks we wanted. I ordered a strawberry lemonade, which was good but a little too sweet. My dad got a Margarita, which he enjoyed and my mom got a classic lemonade, but she thought it was way to sour. A few minutes after getting our drinks, our server got us started with some rolls. The rolls were hot and yummy, which were devoured in a matter of seconds. I ordered baby back ribs which came with two sides. I got fries and a salad as my sides. The salad was good, but the fries and my baby back ribs were kind of cold. My dad got a combo of steak and ribs. He ordered the steak as a medium rare because he knew they would overcook it more than he wanted, and he ended up being right. The steak was came out as a medium, which was fine but that was what he wanted. I think my mom got some kind of tilapia but she did not like it very much. But overall the food was good and I ended up boxing my food because I was too full. I enjoyed this experience and our server was very attentive and nice. When we needed something she would come and happily help us.

5/15/2023 I visited this place on April 30th as it was my daughter's 17th birthday. This is the 2nd time I've eaten here. The last time was 7 yrs ago on my mom's 65th birthday. In all of that time my daughter remembered how delicious O'Charley's rolls were. So that's where she had her meal. Of course she was super basic and got chicken tenders & fries, her friend got the mac -n- cheese with chicken pieces on top (it was actually good) and I got loaded nachos (their version of loaded nachos) and a loaded baked potato. The potato was the bomb! For the most part the nachos were delicious....that also had chicken in it. The only complaint I have is that O'Charley needs to get a better brand of tortilla chips....they were so flavorless that if I weren't seeing myself EAT the chips I could swear I was eating CARDBOARD!!! Absolutely NO TASTE, NO SALT, NO FLAVOR! Other than that the food was alright. Maybe next time I'll bring my own tortilla chips & swap theirs out.....PURCHASE BETTER TASTING TORTILLA CHIPS O'CHARLEY!!!

I got the sampler and chips/salsa. Honestly the worst food I have Ever ordered! The best part was the dasher was fast! Chips had grease dripping out and taters were burnt to a crisp. The chicken was barely there. Maybe a finger nail! Not a finger! First & Last!

We recently visited O'Charleys celebrating their 50 year anniversary. In the past kids have always eaten free with parents meals but since Covid this has been a promotion that they have not repeated until recently, this was our first time eating in the restaurant instead of ordering carry out I was surprised that on a Saturday at 1 PM there was not a lot of people in the restaurant, I went ahead and ordered the ribs and chicken tender meal. I was a little surprise when the meal came out and the chicken tenders look like small chicken fingers. The baby back ribs were OK. Falling off the bone but unfortunately not in a good way. I did enjoy the baked potato and mac & cheese. For $20 I guess it's not bad however, I think there's other options around town that maybe better for the money spent. I also don't know if you can get more dinner rolls after you finish your basket. The rolls were lukewarm and on the dry side. We never got offered another basket of rolls while eating dinner. The overall restaurant is very clean which is a plus. However, they must be short staffed because we watched a table sit full of plates after the meal that went unclean until after we finished our meal. It's also too bad they no longer have prime rib.

Everything was amazing. Prime Rib special for two is fantastic and gigantic. Their chef knows what's up. Their rolls...if you've been here, I don't need to explain how good, yet simple, they are. Aimee, our waitress, hit every button she needed to make it a great stay. She's personable, she pre-buses well and ensures that you are happy. She doesn't come across as fake nice or like she's here to be an actress for tips. She was fantastic and I'll ask for her each time. The hostess, Krista, almost made us want to leave with her negative attitude but don't let her stop from coming in. She might have been having a bad day since the phone was nonstop. The manager, Andrew, was hilarious with the tables and helping the team out a lot; rare with management anymore. It was great to see. All in all, awesome time and something that should be done weekly. The prime rib for two is Friday thru Sunday and worth it.

The food was great! Perfect for nights when cooking isn't an option. Usually speedy delivery to car but only one person working caused a delay.

Excellent! The food was delicious & the menu has so many options. We love Archer’s! Definitely in our top restaurants! My husband had the Texas burger, I had the mushroom, onion & Swiss burger. Yum! Go try it!

I have been there several times and the food has been good. This past Thursday we went for lunch. I ordered the club sandwich. The bread was toasted but seemed like it had been toasted that morning and left out. Just dry and rough. If it wasn't for the bread the sandwich would have been great. We had a waiter in training and he was good and friendly. My friend ordered the lunch bowl. She said the flavor was good but lacking in ingredients. It was suppose to have Romaine Lettuce and she found 2 pieces.

I got the Sticky Burger, a signature Archers item. It was good. I got it how it came, with peanut butter and pepper jack cheese and bacon. You could taste each flavor! I got it because I wanted to try something different. I also got fries but they were cold. I think they would have been delicious if they had been hot. I also tried a fish taco. It was ok. Also not hot. Make sure to ask for tartar sauce with that.

I got carry-out for something different. Turkey reuben with sweet potato fries and fried pickles. All delicious

We eat at Archer's most Sundays. We've never had a bad meal there. Favorites include Brandon Burger, Margherita pizza, White Chicken Chili (amazing!!), and my new favorite, dry rub chicken wings. You can't go wrong with any menu item in my opinion.

Service was good only because they agreed to take my French onion soup off bill. Picture below. Pop was flat. Pizza was not good. Very thin and dry. Burger was actually really good and so were the onion rings. Go here for that and you’re good!

This was the first time at this Archer location. I got the Popper Burger and it was fantastic. Just the right amount of kick to it. My wife got the Texas burger and that looked just as good! Will be back!

Great food and great price! Love the family atmosphere when we eat here. It's a staple of our dining out experience.
