If you only have 5 days to spend in Sandusky, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Sandusky is best known for Cedar Point, a major amusement park on Lake Erie with some of the country’s most prominent roller coasters. The city’s waterfront offers cruises to nearby islands like Kelleys Island and Put-in-Bay, plus opportunities for boating and fishing. Its compact downtown features 19th-century architecture, museums, and seasonal events tied to the lakefront. Nearby waterparks and family attractions make it a popular regional getaway, especially in summer.
With favorites like Brick Oven Bistro, Casa Real - Sandusky, OH, and Eats N' Treats Pizza, Ice Cream & More!, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Vita Sandusky and Boom Town Coffee so you can get the best taste of Sandusky while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Cedar Point is a vast amusement park featuring an array of water slides, thrilling rides, roller coasters, and entertainment options. The Cedar Point Museum provides an intriguing look into the history of this renowned park, showcasing its evolution from a lakeside resort to a globally recognized entertainment destination. Visitors can explore original roller coaster models and learn about the park's legacy.
Cedar Point is absolutely amazing! The rides are packed with fun and thrills from start to finish it truly lives up to its reputation as the roller coaster capital. We went during Halloweekends, and that took the experience to a whole new level. The park was covered in spooky Halloween décor, with themed attractions and special activities that made the atmosphere even more exciting. Between the coasters, the seasonal events, and everything else the park has to offer, one day just isn’t enough you’ll definitely want more time to experience it all!
Nijanand S — Google review
Absolutely amazing amusement park! The roller coasters here are top notch and from online info they are consistently ranked top in the country! There are also other fun rides like a 300 foot tall swing ride, a gondola down the middle of the park, and a good amount of little kids rides. There is also an indoor arcade area. Any roller coaster enthusiast will love this park, but families will have fun too! The food is also pretty good, with good portions, and the meal plan is definitely worth it!

I came this year for hallo weekends. The best day of all was actually Halloween. The crowds were low and we were able to get on all the rides very quickly. A few rides like the millennium we are able to get right back on as soon as we got off. The amount of effort put into decorating the park is amazing. It really does give you a spooky fall natural vibe. The haunted houses are a lot of fun too. The best places to eat in my opinion are the pavilion and the barbecue place. The mixed drinks are way too sugary and not enough alcohol though. I recommend finding a bar that serves liquor and doing a shot. We got tequila shots at the one place in the pioneer village area and they were basically like doubles. If your time is limited it's a busy day you may want to invest in a fast pass. On a busy day you can wait up to 2 hours for some of these roller coasters. I also visited in the summer. The water park there is pretty nice. They have some water slides a lazy river and a nice beach. Cedar point is definitely the premier roller coaster destination in North America. I love the top thrill 2, The Magnum, the millennium, and really most of the other roller coasters there. If you're staying over I recommend sawmill Creek It is a resort like atmosphere there and they have two pools and hot tubs. I haven't stayed at hotel breakers but I have stayed at castaway Bay and I don't like those rooms there. They remind me of prison cells. Overall I definitely recommend visiting cedar point if you never have. It is in a great location near the Lake Erie Islands and a lot of other fun things that you can do.
Scott E — Google review
Absolutely one of the best amusement parks in the world without a question. I try to make it here at least once a year and especially during the Halloween season because I love seeing everything all decked out. Waits for rides can get long, so I definitely recommend fast pass, or packing your patience and something to do in line. If the weather is bad there isn't a ton inside to do which is a bummer.
Eliott S — Google review
I drove 2.5 hours from Michigan to check out Cedar Point’s Halloweekends, and while the event itself was fun, there were definitely some frustrating parts. Parking was chaotic and poorly managed, and the wait times for rides and haunted houses were painfully long. Fast Lane passes were available, but at over $400 for two people, it felt way too expensive just to skip the lines. That said, the rides were awesome once we finally got on — especially at night with the Halloween atmosphere — and the food was actually really good. The park was decked out in spooky decor, with fog, lights, and scare actors creating a great vibe. Overall, it was a fun experience, but between the long drive, rough parking, and high costs, it wasn’t quite as smooth or worth it as I hoped.

This was back in 2023. The season of sun n fun!! Really enjoyed watching my kids have a supersweet summer. Capped off w a hoot...olliesahoot dont yano. Cedar Point Season passholder. Great package. We live hour and a half away. As many times as we came, over 10 it was amazing each time..from the beach...to the saok city slides. Steelvengance to Raptor, this park really puts it together. First time i remember going...i was about 8yrs old..I was 48 in these. Getting some more years in me too..bet..aint that right Ollie

Brought my kids to this amusement park for our first visit here and it really did not disappoint. We purchased tickets in advance, which can save some money especially if you go through a third-party seller so be sure to check around for deals. You will have to purchase parking, I purchased preferred which does get you a bit closer to the entrance and comes in handy after a tiring day. I added meal and drink packages to our tickets which also came in handy as you could get drinks every 15 minutes and get meals every 90 minutes. If you are visiting during peak season, I would recommend a fast pass upgrade too as it can cut down your wait times significantly although they do sell single ride fast passes in the app, which I would recommend downloading and using during your visit as well. If you are a roller coaster or thrill ride enthusiast this is the park for you. They have over 20 thrill rides and coasters combined. They also do have rides for children or those seeking less of a thrill. There are also other things the park has like arcades, access to the beach, and even more. There were some rides that were down at times during our visit but they came back on soon enough and we were able to ride. The newer and most popular rides did have wait times that were longer than an hour but there were others that you could ride then get back on immediately after the ride. I did not find any wait too long and during your wait they have shade, fans, mist machines, or a combination of those in line. Overall, our visit was great. We were able to ride many of the top rides during our visit and it was not too crowded so wait times seemed minimal. Great park, with great rides and looking forward to returning for another visit in the future.
Jackie D — Google review
Such an excellent amusement park. Highly recommended for all. Having visiting several different parks across North America, I can say this is the best of the ones I’ve visited. Compared to Disney and Universal in Orlando, the lines are much shorter and prices are more adorable. Pro tip: get a pass allowing you to refill Coca Cola drinks throughout your time in the park. It saves money compared to buying bottled water or paying for each drink. Also, get an all-day dining pass! Get one for every two or three people in your party, because it allows you to get a meal every 90 minutes. If possible, each person can eat once every one and half hour (or y’all can share). Basically, eat a little and go play and eat a little more with the pass. The rides are great. Roller coasters are not for everyone. While the majority of rides are coasters, there are milder rides. The Ferris wheel is among the mildest. There is a milder coaster, as well. The Cedar Creek Mine Ride roller coaster is one that doesn’t make people go upside down.

Water park
Cedar Point Shores is a family-friendly water park located near Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Spanning 18 acres, the park offers a variety of attractions including numerous slides, kid-friendly areas, and two lazy rivers. Visitors can also find shops, restaurants, and relaxation spots within the park. Additionally, there is a charming waterfront area nearby where people can enjoy activities such as volleyball and jet skiing.
TLDR: A great water park! Get a cabana if you can! I’ve got very few pics because I didn’t bring my phone in the water with me, but if you can do it, I’d recommend getting a cabana. We just got a standard one (the least expensive option) and it was great- being able to not have to worry about putting your stuff in a locker and getting it stolen (this has happened to my boyfriend on a previous trip- he put his phone in a locker, went to the regular park, and when he came back to retrieve his items, the staff said the lockers had closed and that he needed to pick up his stuff an hour before. They had taken his items to another area, and he was able to retrieve his clothes and wallet and a bag, but his phone was gone. He used the “find my” app to see that an employee had taken it from the locker and turned it off after 3 hrs, so it was untraceable. Cedar point shores would not take responsibility for the incident, and from then on, he vowed to never leave his stuff in a locker that he paid for, so I also wouldn’t recommend it. Anyway, rant over, get a cabana. 🤣 We went looking for the one assigned to us and we’re on the wrong side of the wave pool, and were immediately greeted by workers who needed to vet us- we were annoyed by this but honestly, I was happy when I thought about it, because they’re keeping an eye on other customer’s items in the cabanas, which made me feel better about leaving my stuff behind. The cabana is nice sized, and there are workers that are available to take drink or food orders if you wish to pay for them. The lazy river was closed when we visited, as is almost always the way with me- the lazy river is my favorite, so therefore always closed 😭, but we enjoyed the wave pool, the water slides, the overall atmosphere as roller coasters zoomed by, and I enjoyed the summer shandy and ice cream! Yes this review is late, but I have visited several times in the last few years so my review is pretty much the same for each year.

Had an absolute blast and saved a ton of $$$ by booking our tickets and stay at castaway bay resort and it was amazing. The room had a separate room for the girls with 2 bunk beds and a mini fridge with a microwave and it had a water 🌊 park inside the resort ☺️

The weekend was truly exceptional and enjoyable. The children had an outstanding experience and were reluctant to depart. Except for my youngest, the older kids were somewhat disappointed with the splash tower due to the closure of all slides during our three-day visit. Nonetheless, they had a good time in the lazy river, wave pool, and Great Lakes cove.

Had a memorable day with fam at the waterpark. The que for rides was way too long. Took us literally 40 mins in line. Lazy river and the wave pool are worth it. Great splash pads for kids. Need to maintain cleanliness in the shower and changing rooms.

So I will start by saying we went on a very HOT Monday. Arrived an hour after opening and had to wait in line to get in. No shaded places to sit. Fortunately we were able to get a cabana (Even though the sign said Sold Out). Cabana area was definitely worth the money to have some space away from the crowds and a lock box. Only one waiter for the entire Cabana area. Took a few hours to get waited on and get our food / drinks. I felt bad for our waiter because there was only so much he could do. Food was a plus - large portions for a group to share. Nachos and chicken wings were very good. Tried to go to adult swim up bar. Couldn't get in because we did not have ID on us (everyone in group over 50). Not enough bathrooms throughout the park. I waited at least 10 minutes every time I had to go. Areas in park where there was standing water smelled like urine. Waaaaay too many people. Overall not an enjoyable experience.

This is a great water park with one of the best beaches on lake Erie. Unfortunately when it's crowded the lines for the slides are extremely long and it takes a while to actually enjoy them. Tha layout is kinda confusing too, if I didn't have a map I probably would have ended up on the wrong side just trying to find a exit. And the restroom wait was kinda excessive as well. Also this park is huge plan on walking long distances if you try to combine the beach and cedar point in a single day. And lastly when we arrived to go to the waterpark the parking lot attendant told us to park by the buses because we were in a large van and he told us to go through Cedar Point to get to the Shores and in doing so we accidentally used or waterpark passes at the Cedar Point gta and we're initially denied when we arrived at the Shores gate. But after explaining the situation to management we were granted access into the park.
Edward E — Google review
Absolutely insane situation where the park has been closed for over 2 hours for “bad weather” and this is the weather in the picture below. Over 350$ in tickets, food and parking and 2,5 hours of driving to stay sitting down and melt under the sun. Totally absurdly situation just to save on costs and forcing people to go eat. Ridiculous. First and last time coming here!

My two daughters and I came to Cedar Point on September 20, 2025. Everything was fine at first. We arrived at 12 PM, and for several hours everything went well until my wristband tore — the one that gave us access to skip the lines with the Quick Pass. To clarify, the wristbands that are given for park entry were intact. The wristband that tore was the one we paid a large additional amount for — the one that allows guests to skip the lines everywhere. That wristband ripped off my wrist a few hours later, after the attraction where I was strapped in and the spring launched my seat, along with me, high into the air. It was right after that ride that my wristband tore, although I was still holding it in my hand. To clarify: my wristband tore, but it remained in my hand. I didn’t lose it, and I didn’t tear it on purpose. At the same time, the regular park-entry wristband did not tear, because it was made of a completely different, much better quality material. The park-entry wristband was durable, unlike the one used for the Quick Pass Lanes. I repeat: I paid for the ability to skip the lines, but the wristband broke because it was of poor quality. This was not my fault, yet it became my problem. We approached the staff, and they sent us to another location where we stood in line for about 40 minutes. After those 40 minutes, the staff at that location very rudely sent us somewhere else, saying they could not help us. From the very end of the park we had to walk all the way back to the entrance, which took about 30 minutes because I was with two children. It was inconvenient, uncomfortable, unpleasant, and it took away our time. And that was not even the main issue. At the entrance to the park, we spoke with a supervisor for a long time, expressing our frustration that we had wasted two hours standing in lines and walking back to the front of the park. The supervisor then offered to refund us for the Quick Passes, but not for the park admission, and we agreed that this would be fair. We were very disappointed and just wanted to leave, because going all the way back to the far end of the park would have taken even more time, and we were already tired of walking and wanted to go home as soon as possible. The supervisor promised that we would receive a refund for the Quick Passes, but no refund was ever issued to us. I am outraged by the behavior of the staff and by the deception we experienced. We paid for a service, and we could have stayed in the park for the entire time covered by the Quick Pass access we purchased. However, we were unable to use the full service we paid for because the supervisor misled us. We never received any refund. I am requesting that my money be returned to my account; otherwise, I will be contacting an attorney, small claim court etc. Inside the park, I lost my glasses. They fell out of my pocket and landed in an area that was restricted to employees only. There was no way that any visitor could have taken them. The glasses fell in a place where only park employees have access. These were expensive Dior glasses — my favorite pair — but no one found them and of course no one returned them to me. I am extremely disappointed with the way your staff handled everything. My entire experience at your park is associated only with very negative memories now. I am requesting a refund for the Quick Pass Lanes. I agree that we paid for admission, but I believe it is unfair that the Quick Pass wristbands are made of such poor quality, putting your guests at risk of wasting their time on this unnecessary and frustrating replacement process. You charge your guests a significant amount of money but do not provide the service they paid for. You put your guests at risk of losing the wristband. Meanwhile, the regular park-entry wristband is made of completely different quality, and it is impossible to lose it.

Shoreline Park, llc is a recreational area located along Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. It offers various amenities such as a playground, picnic tables, fishing opportunities, and concessions. The park features picturesque views of the lake and sandy shores, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls along the shoreline. Additionally, visitors can enjoy biking on designated trails and capture beautiful photos in the shaded areas of the park.
This looks to be a newly renovated area, and the upgrades look pretty good. It was raining when ee checked this spot out so we didn't really stay to appreciate much aside from the view of the southern shores of Lake Erie (we live an hour North of Long Point on the Northern shore) and just relax moment before heading on to the road home.. Recommended spot to visit if you're in the area, the views of Six Flags across the bay is extremely picture worthy so definitely bring your camera here.

We wanted to take our elderly dog to the dog beach... This place was awesome, but the walk to the dog beach from the parking lot was quite the long haul. Otherwise, the place is great for swimming, hiking, biking, it hanging out.

I drove from State College, PA to this park on April 8, 2024 to view the total solar eclipse. The park was a nice respite from the loud music and the party at the Jackson Street Pier. It was well-maintained. The piers are much longer than one would think from the maps; it takes over five minutes to walk from the parking lot down to the edge of the water. I didn't use the playgrounds, but they were in good condition, and I didn't see any dogs. Some parents repeatedly complained about the lack of railings near the water's edge, but no children actually fell in and the edges are well marked with rocks. There is a network of trails, many benches, and even a bridge. I chose this park by chance, simply because it was where the radar showed the clouds were least likely to be a few hours before, when I was 100 miles away. Another Google reviewer showed there were a lot of parking spots, and that was correct - there were far more than were needed, even on that busy day. If I lived in Sandusky, I would go here regularly and get my exercise jogging along the trails.

Small City Taphouse is a popular destination known for its industrial-chic interior and wide selection of draft microbrews. The menu features Pan-Asian plates and sushi, with options like the Curry Tofu and a variety of sushi rolls including vegan choices like avocado and cucumber rolls. This spot offers a unique dining experience with an extensive drink selection that includes craft beer, bourbons, and scotches.
We love their flair on food. Service was friendly and quick. I apologize for the pictures on our appetizers ,We got the Vietnamesse crunchy roll and the crispy spring roll that were delicious. I thought the Vietnamesse roll was a better value.

Fun brew house/ Asian fusion spot in downtown Sandusky (yes you heard that right) really surprised to find a place of this caliber here I can't wait to tell you about it. Plenty of parking across the street (parking garage and street parking). Place is large with a big main bar and a downstairs eating area with an even bigger bar. Grab a seat in the waiting area and peruse the fun beer glasses/merch/to-go beers while you wait for your table (I grabbed a DRINK BEER GET PHO glass). Beer menu is surprisingly large, the IPAs and lagers were a favorite among our group, but for me the CLAGCITY was by far the best if you like a nice floral IPA. Menu has a good amount of items, unfortunately they were out of beef while we were there, but we came on a Tuesday so I understand (really wanted to try the pho). Ended up with the lettuce wraps and spring rolls to start, both were well proportioned and great. For mains there was a mix of spicy noodle bowls, pad Thai, and rice bowls, all of which were enjoyed. Overall a great meal, tasty beers, and a nice modern atmosphere, which I love to see in downtown Sandusky. Will definitely be back!

This place was recommended that we go and try when we traveled to Cedar point for the weekend. Nice area very close to the water nice atmosphere. The restaurant is really big and bustling TVs for all the sporting events.. the food was ok from my perspective. My children did really enjoy their sushi. If you are not picky about your Asian cuisine, then I would definitely say try this place. Obviously as it is a taphouse, they have lots of drinks and beers to choose from. we made a reservation because we had such a large party, but I was surprised at how big this place was and they had plenty of room.

This place was a great find! Easily the best sushi we’ve had outside of the west coast. The fish was fresh and the Vietnamese dishes were on point - again, the best we’ve had outside of Seattle. Don’t miss the wonton soup, I Pho with It roll (if you like spicy), and of course, pair it with the drink of your choice! We can’t wait to go back and try some of the noodle dishes and of course, more sushi.

Vita was absolutely wonderful! They accommodated our group of 20 for breakfast the morning after my daughter’s wedding, and everything was perfect. The restaurant is beautiful — warm, inviting, and a great place to celebrate. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and everyone loved their meals. Our server was amazing (I wish I remembered her name!), and her helper, a young man named Garrett, was outstanding — so attentive and hardworking, he seemed to know what we needed before we even asked. Tom, the owner, went above and beyond to help set up our reservation and make sure we had an excellent experience. Highly recommend Vita for amazing food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere .

Boom Town Coffee is a great spot for your morning coffee, quick breakfast, or lunch. They offer Nitro Cold Brew on tap, which is a cold-brewed coffee infused with nitrogen for an extra kick. In addition to delicious smoothies and baked goods, the staff are engaging and the atmosphere is wonderful. With a variety of drink options and milk substitutes available, it's definitely worth checking out this cute little store.
Pretty cool coffee shop located in downtown Sandusky. The coffee was really good and the staff were friendly. They offer light meals and other beverages. The inside was extremely clean and plenty of seating area if you come in a small group. They have an outside seating area for when the weather gets better. They do not have much parking available on site but parking is available very close by.

Pleasant experience!!! The staff are so fully of personality and are engaging! Wonderful atmosphere and vibes! We got the Hawaiian Salted Caramel Iced Coffee! It was sooooo good! Definitely a new fave spot! Love, love, love.

We both got a regular sized Frozen Boom Town Mocha with whipped cream ! Absolutely delicious and their sitting area in the back is so quaint and cute! Great service. Sometimes when they're open they don't turn their light up open sign on in the window but if the flag is out they're usually open!

Coffee has a great taste. I usually go with the Boomtown mocha drink which is delicious. Decided to stop in for a coffee today and the atmosphere sucked! The workers today was not pleasant nor welcoming. I asked what the caramel apple was and the barista told me, “caramel and apple” no more description than that?!! This was the first time I’ve been in there and can say the service was terrible. Not sure if they had a long day, bad day or what. But that’s no excuse! Just because your day is bad, don’t make others day bad!! Another customer was behind me and was greeted with a smile and given descriptions of different coffees for the ones he asked about. Hmmm…maybe I was just not of her preference.

Cute little coffee shop! We are camping nearby and decided to give it a try! They sell crimson cup coffee, which is my favorite! Kind and friendly staff!

Beautiful restored interior with great view toward the bay. Food and drinks were better than the service. Neither warranted the prices. Had to ask for napkins & tableware. They weren't even remotely busy. Nobody even checked on us the whole time we ate. It had an unwelcoming feeling to it. If I go back, it will be for the food and views alone. Felt like more geared towards Subaru soccer moms, over-paid lawyers and the "young professional crowd". Disappointing. I wanted to like this place.

Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
The overall experience at Tomo, a sushi restaurant, was superb. The waitress provided prompt and courteous service, while the chef added an enjoyable and entertaining element to the dining experience. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, although the soup did not meet expectations. The soda was satisfactory, but what stood out was the lobster which arrived pre-cleaned without its shell yet still managed to have a decent taste.
We walked in unsure what to expect from a hibachi spot inside a resort hotel, but we left extremely satisfied—this was the best hibachi we’ve had in a long time, and we’d happily do it again. The service was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and well-paced. I loved that the meal was spread out in a way that felt like multiple courses: rice first, then the meat, then the vegetables. Everything was timed perfectly so you could enjoy each part without feeling rushed. The food was high-quality and delicious. Every bite tasted fresh and well-prepared. The only miss for me was the sushi—it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. Excellent hibachi, great pacing, and top-notch service. Skip the sushi, but otherwise, it’s a must-visit.
Kristin B — Google review
The service here was just so bad it made for an extremely disappointing dining experience. Immediately upon being sat the server pushed for our food and drink orders. I barely had a chance to even read the menu. I have 22 month old twin boys and wanted them to share a meal and server told me there would be a $15 charge to share a plate! They are damn babies, what a money grab! After taking our order the server never came back over. Hibachi chef was okay, he wasn’t the most engaging chef, but we still had fun. The second he finished serving us and before I even took one bite of food our waitress came over with boxes and checks. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed refills (which we did!). She never cleared any of our dirty soup dishes from the table and again while I was still eating with my party told me they needed the table for the next reservation. They literally started to bus our plates while we were eating still! We were not even in there an hour. The whole meal was rushed and the server terrible.
Kellie S — Google review
I wouldn't eat here again. Tomo is the Hibachi restaurant located in Hotel Breakers, and I had a very disappointing experience. First off, the prices are absolutely ridiculous, being way over what they should. Secondly, the food is mediocre at best. I've had way better sushi and hibachi at pretty much every other hibachi restaurant I've been to. Finally, the service feels insanely rushed, and the restaurant feels super packed in. The waiter didn't give any time to decide about drinks, and as soon as the hibachi chef left, he rushed the check out, seeming annoyed. Also, there are not that many tables, and only one non-hibachi table that is super tiny, and the whole place feels cramped. The only good part was that the hostess and the chef I had were both great and didn't seem annoyed. I do not recommend this place.
Lucas ル — Google review
Our cook was great. Had to ask the waiter three times for s water. Prices look correct at face value...I literally said, " I wonder how they are going to portion the food" based on the price and it being cedar point...sure enough! No salad, no noodles. That was very disappointing. Food tasted good and cook was great but left disappointed. I don't plan on returning. Ill order pizza next time.
Amanda C — Google review
We enjoy coming to this restaurant because we love hibachi cooking. The restaurant serves salads, appetizers, hibachi dinner, sushi/hand rolls and sushi and sashimi. The restaurant is always crowded, so I highly recommend that you make a reservation. Since we are typically coming from Cedar Point amusement park, make sure to get your hand stamped so that you can return to the park afterwards.

Had the filet and it was amazing! Whenever we stay at the Breakers eating here has turned into a tradition. Food excellent and chef did a great show!! Reservations a must🥰
Cassie P — Google review
Had fun at this hibachi experience. Food was good. Fried rice, chicken, filet, vegetables, soup, and yum yum sauce. Kids loved the shrimp. Sushi was pretty good as well. Not the best hibachi food I've had but good and still had a lot of fun with family while at Cedar Point.
Ryan Y — Google review
Service was great but food was not. Probably the worst hibachi food we have ever had. Soup tasted like water, no salad, I’ve never had a bad fillet but here I did, chicken was cut so small, dry and horrible flavor and the veggies were still raw. I feel like it was more rushed than usual and they cut the steak and chicken in tiny pieces to make it go further which is wild because it’s 50% more expensive then your typical hibachi. Also, my son’s age was questioned for ordering on the kids menu, we have never experienced that.

Nestled at the Cedar Point Marina, Bay Harbor is an upscale American restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience with stunning views of Lake Erie and the iconic roller coasters nearby. This casually elegant venue specializes in fresh seafood, delectable pasta dishes, and prime rib, making it a perfect spot for any special occasion. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating on the patio during warmer months while savoring their meals year-round.
Everything was great. Our server Lori was phenomenal, kind and professional. We came in at 920pm and this was the last place open in the area. Our only minor complaint was the Caeser salad had a cheese crisp thing that was super tough to eat and the chicken was forgotten on my wife's Caesar salad. Outside of that the food was excellent. I had the chicken Michelle which I had never heard of before but it tasted excellent. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve had a tradition of taking my son here for King Crab Legs for the past few years. Every other trip has been amazing, which made our visit this year so much more disappointing. We had a reservation, and after arriving the server took about 15 minutes to make it to our table. There were 4 other seated tables in the dining room, and I saw two servers working that night. During the dinner our drinks were never refilled, and the portion size has been drastically reduced from previous years. In the interest of full disclosure last year’s photo has a pound and a half, whereas we went with one pound this year. Even with the difference in order size this year’s serving was well below half of what we got last year. 4 full large legs vs. one and a half. I’m happy to pay market price ($125 for one pound this year) if I get what I’m paying for. To be honest it looks like they grabbed one of their half pound additions and gave me that since it was end of day. Very disappointing to see the change after so many years, we will definitely be hesitant to return.

We come here every summer while visiting Cedar Point. Food is consistently good as well as service. The restaurant is at the docks so it has a really great view of the lake and boats. Very clean. Would eat the crab cakes and bread daily if I could! Usually one of us gets the grouper because its amazing!
Jenna R — Google review
What a lovely jewel tucked back on the Cedar Point island. The food is excellent and well prepared. We went with another couple and all of us thought it was delicious with such a nice atmosphere. The risotto and scallops were my personal favorite. The only complaint I heard was that the blue cod could have had less chili sauce on it so that you could taste the actual fish a bit more. The price point is high but worth it. Not many fine dining restaurants in the local area so it really shines. The staff was kind, attentive and professional. Very well done!
Brhiannon C — Google review
For roller coaster lovers this is the spot. Located inside the park gates along the marina providing nice views and sounds of thrill seekers. Latisha was our waitress and she was nice. Escargot, grouper topped with crab meat and lake perch all delicious.
Will G — Google review
The food was definitely not great. They had huge potential, but they struggled. The lobster tasted “muddy” according to my husband and my risotto had no seasoning and way too much cheese. The scallops on it were cooked really well though, so I have to give them that! Also, the waitress was really sweet, so that was a high point of the meal.
Brooke R — Google review
My family and I have been visiting here on our annual trek from Chicago every year since 2017. It's a lovely location, though service has been variable over the years and I suspect newcomers just don't get enough training. Thankfully, we got Carmen on this year's visit. She's clearly experienced and found exactly the right balance of service for us and the food and cocktails were flawless. It was disappointing to see that the Breakers shuttle bus no longer stops there, now entailing a bit of a walk, but that's not the fault of Bay Harbor...
Steve L — Google review
The grouper Oscar is great. DO NOT order the seafood risotto if you are expecting lobster in it as stated on the menu. It may have lobster broth is that but we found 2 tiny pieces about the size of a chive in the entire dish. Mentioned it to my server, she apologized but said that's how it's made. Food has good flavor but very pricey for what you get, so not a great value. Better choices out there at 40-50 per plate. Very dated inside

The pierson family had a blast!!!! I am writing our review before we have even left!our trip started off with a long ride! We got here early and our room was ready very quickly. We get to our room and what i thought would be a beautiful view was not i pulled the curtain to see a satellite dish! I ran into Eternity in the hall and she asked how we were and I basically said aside from the satellite dish we were good.i laughed she appoligized and then wished is a better day! Now day two of our stay and we had a tiny ant issue and they were quick to fix the situation!!! And again I run into Eternity and she was amazing, she made my children's day and put a smile on our face again!!! Now the kiddos had a blast at the water park, where Jake made their day!!! My daughter even had to find him before we left the water park to thank him basically saying he was the best attendant out on the floor today!! We have one more day to go before we leave and I just had to make sure Eternity and Jake know how special this trip was because of them!! We will be back because of these two, their customer service was on spot, they make it a point to get to know you and your family!

Ehhh.... I was disappointed. The hotel is definitely in need of an update. The room is a good size, but I've been in phone booths bigger than the bathroom. The sink and vanity are across from the beds, not in the bathroom. Awkward brushing your teeth in front of everyone else in the room. Our sliding glass door was off the track and the thermostat didn't work. Maintenance repaired them fairly quickly and provided breakfast and arcade vouchers for the inconvenience, but the A/C didn't get above snow. The pull out couch is OK for shorter people but at 5'10" my feet were over the edge. Housekeeping prioritizes the recently vacated rooms for cleaning, so ours wasn't made up until after 4pm. Carpet seams in the hallway were duct taped over. And the theme is mixed between rustic log cabin and magical fantasy. The food in the restaurant was good, but not memorable. This weekend away wasn't worth the price.

Upon check in, we were offered an upgrade, the front desk associate could clearly see our children we had with us. Ages 17 & 12. We took the "upgrade" to find ourselves in a very small room, the Den Suite. The kids beds weren't even a full twin size bed. The bathroom is so small a notch was cut out of the bathroom door so it would close past the toilet. We were in the first floor which had a lingering odor of sewer. And I believe they have workers living on premises. Rooms are outdated, not usb plugs, no sheer curtains on the door for privacy, so it was either all light in your room and everyone can see in or complete darkness. Our "patio " another upgrade was near the service entrance - there is no privacy screen up so it was noisy and busy so not really an upgrade, if the space isn't useable. The water park was maintained well, although they did find poop in the one water slide and pool floor and everything remained opened. Lifeguards were spot on in every area! I would feel very safe with little ones there. I paid extra for the breakfast package, in my opinion not worth it. Food was salty, and mediocre at best. We were with a big group who had dinner at Gitigoo and said dinner was fantastic but they also were not impressed with the breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It was very nice when we walked in the staff offerd the ears n showed us all the fun events going on. I have an autistic 3 year old son n it was my neice birthday I can say we all had fun and most definitely will come back. The food was a lil bit to high price and some of the gift shops stuff was kinda overpriced . My autistic son n neice wanted the magic but it was over 100$ for two of them kinda crazy.. other then that it was fun n will come back. So much to do everything was so nice. When I come back we will be doing our own food though .

We had a great time staying here. The staff was absolutely amazing with my autistic 7 year old! The room was cute but the bathroom was very small. My 4.5 year old loved floating with me in the warm pool. Would have been a 5 star but the prices of everything is ridiculous! We door dashed or went out when we needed anything. The kids got free wolf ears. They also got to go a a trick or treat walk thru the lobby and they loved it!! We got the birthday packaged added on and I'd have to say for the value, I didn't love it. The cake was previously frozen and tasted stale. The frosting on it was extremely sweet. (Next time we'll get a cake from Meijer next door- cuz there will be a next time!!) Overall it was an amazing trip and the kids loved it.
Amanda — Google review
It's an older hotel. Could use some improvement but it's clean and the staff is nice. Lots of noise past the curfew time. We were there in Thursday night. The ice machine and microwave on each floor isn't marked so you'll need to search for it. I had to call the front desk to figure out where it was as it also wasn't listed in the book in the room. Also, the Sandusky, OH one is definitely geared toward the smaller littles like the under 6 age range. We are use to a much bigger water park. But it was a good experience all in all. We had 2-10 year olds and a 12 year old with us.

After coming to Great Wolf for years this will probably be the last time. Our suites were trashy and bathrooms were dirty. The lighting in our rooms was terrible with some of the lights not working at all. The tv remote was gone. The toilets clogged with one flush! There was mold on the wall and blood stains on the kids sheets. The added $19 parking fee per night wasn’t appreciated. We waited an hour and 10 mins for chicken strips we were told would take 20 mins at Buckets. The items we received in our package upgrades were nothing like the photos I was shown. All in all we were very disappointed.

This is my autistic son’s favorite place. We came here this week for his birthday and stayed from Sunday-Wednesday. Last year he was afraid of the bigger slide. However this year he conquered his fear and went down the orange slide! It became his favorite thing this time, going down 10-15 times each time. Every single person that worked the orange slide at the time that we’ve been there was so amazing and patient with my son. I don’t have any names because they were all so wonderful, but they never rushed him, never made him do anything he didn’t need to, and they even cheered him on as he went. They never made any judgment, and they were very happy that he had conquered his fear. They made it very enjoyable for all of us and a lot less stressful on a pair of autism parents, which we very appreciate. We look forward to coming every year for his birthday and I’m sure he looks forward to riding the slide 20 to 50 times a day.

Very low staffing. I waited ten minutes in line to buy a bottle of wine and some snacks. Was then informed that the cashier was not old enough to sell it to me. And that her supervisor was too busy to come help. So I could not buy the wine. The othe lines were ridiculously long. I'm from Flint and our Walmart isn't this bad.

Never in my life would I ever expect someone who works for a big corporation to say " do they not have lines in your country" I just find this crossing a line. racist and humiliating. Maybe you should teach your employees to actually take charge and move lines not use racist lines to command attention. I don't live in the area and was only doing my twice a year visit to gwl. But I'll definitely won't be returning to this Walmart. There's a Meijer right down the road.

staff is extremely racist and rude. I heard a self checkout employee say “do they not have lines in your country?” which was alarming and tempted me to check the reviews. I did in fact see a review containing that EXACT comment from three weeks ago. That self check employee has said the same racist comments to multiple people. Word for word. A customer service lady named Lorraine came running defend the racist employee. That customer service lady also screams at people and follows them around before the store closes as a tactic to scare them out of the store. This includes employees being in the store during breaks. All of the customer service and self check out people are EXTREMELY rude. They’re unhappy to help 100% of the time except Lee. Lee is chill shoutout to Lee give him a raise

Chicken and Waffles have the most unique BBQ maple syrup accompanying the dish! Our server Brooke was more than helpful and her hospitality is what we need more of at restaurants. Observing the other waitstaff, it feels that everyone is always taken care of throughout their dining experience. I also appreciate their willingness to source and promote local ingredients. Their coffee menu is also stellar. Just an all around tasty breakfast joint!

First visit, breakfast on a Saturday at 8:30am. Started getting busy but we was quickly seated. Cute decor and our server was great. My silverware was dirty so we did have to exchange that. I ordered an omelet and spouse ordered peach crepe. Also had a White Russian mimosa it was good. I felt the prices were a bit high and dining room was a little too crunched where you basically are too close to next dining table which makes it hard to even have conversation with your company.

Friendly staff and good service. Even being busy, our wait wasn't too long. The kids loved the outside games while we waited on a table. Our food was OK. Pancakes were great, we would definitely order any of our flavors again. The kids had chocolate chip and the rainbow sprinkles kinds. Adults had Blueberry muffin and cinnamon swirl ones. Delicious! We ordered the cinnamon roll to share, it was just OK. Ours was pretty dark and dry, not sure we would do that again. Coffee menu was impressive. We didn't order a Mimosa, but the whole drink menu sounded great.

Really clean and nice restaurant. We went Saturday morning, around 7 am, and it had maybe two cars in the lot, so not crowded at all. It started to get a little more crowded, but definitely not crazy, around 8 when we left. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. The portion sizes were good. The staff was friendly and attentive and quick. I'd definitely go back to this place if I'm in the area.

Very cute establishment. Customer service let's start with that AMAZING!! From the person seating us to our waitress Mia. Food: **2 People ordered the America Belgian waffles (Delicious) ** 2 People ordered pancakes eggs and bacon combo. My son said it was one of the best pancakes he have ever had >> That bacon though. Yeah trash... it snapped like a biscuit. Maybe it was an off day but that's how all our bacon were. ** My daughter had the Nutella Crepes.... it was amazing, just wished she did in fact get "fresh" strawberries instead of what ever crumpled of piece that were at the bottom of the condiment container and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. ** I ordered the mimosa of the day (blackberry lemonade) would have been perfect but it was flat. ** My son said the hot chocolate wasn't the best So many small things that could have made this experience a 5/5. Maybe next try!! We also had a 7 person group and gratuity was automatic. I did tip extra because Mia was extremely pleasant. Pointers: Many servers do have long hair and those things get away quickly even when the hair is pulled back. Maybe a hat or hairnet?👌

The Sandusky Mall is a commercial complex that serves as a central retail hub with an enclosed shopping center and more extensive retail shops surrounding the parking lot. In addition, the mall offers various dining options to cater to shoppers' needs, and there's also a multiplex theater for entertainment purposes. Overall, the mall provides a comprehensive shopping experience with diverse options for customers seeking different goods and services under one roof.
I was pretty surprised by this mall, it's on the smaller side but has so many of the stores malls typically have such as Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Finish Line, and so many more. My review photos show the majority of the stores inside, and there are some empty storefronts, but overall they've done a nice job keeping the mall clean, updated and relevant with the store selection inside. There are multiple entrances to the inside, and a few of the stores are accessible from the inside and outside.

The mall is decent for a small town like Sandusky. It’s has all the essential stores you would need to get a few gifts or items for the house. Ross, TJ MAXX and 5 Below. The mall was clean and welcoming. A few stores were closed which was a bummer. This food court only had 1 food spot open. There are plenty restaurants in the immediate area of the mall. The guy at the information/security kiosk was super friendly. There was plenty of parking and no issues finding a parking space. I would definitely return to this mall when visiting Sandusky.

Great place, love the hallmark shop, bath&body works, victoria secret. Wish they add more kids' clothing stores. Tj max store is very nice after the remodeling. Also they have a new arcade place is pretty awesome, not just for kids

Ok the mall is trying like hell to hold on its not a bad place I enjoy it it's clean but you can see it's dieing slowly like so many other ones have. I hope this one holds out for another 10 years we need places like this in our area. Stores are cool nice place to shop the area don't feel empty the parking lot feels safe still which is a rare feeling.

Good to see the mall back after the 2018-2022 lull. Not everybody’s gonna make it, but many will. Glad to have a place to take my kid to kill the boredom and to have a little fun.

Loved the Star Trek store/museum. Played some pinball at the arcade. Bought some shoes. Had some mini pretzel dogs in a cup. Decent mall but not amazing. Sorry, no pics.

The mall was smaller than anticipated! It was extremely clean. A few stores were closed. There was only one small play area for young kids. It appears they where setting up for a craft show for the weekend. If you need to kill time for an hour or so, this is a quick stop!

Nestled in the heart of Sandusky, Ohio, Castaway Bay by Cedar Point Resorts is a vibrant tropical-themed getaway that promises endless fun for families. This waterfront resort features bright and inviting rooms alongside an impressive indoor water park designed to mimic a Caribbean paradise. Guests can dive into adventure with various recreational amenities, including both indoor and outdoor pools, an arcade filled with games, and multiple dining options like the High Tide Cafe.
Recently stayed here for 1 night. Check in was a bit slow, however all the staff were friendly and personable. The water park was really fun. 2 of the smaller slides were down. The other slides were extremely fun, especially the water coaster. The rooms are spacious and the beds are a bit on the firm side. There are plenty of things to do here with the kids. They even have characters come out to interact and play games with the kids. We also were allowed to go to cedar point a hour before it opened to the general public which was an added bonus.
Lo B — Google review
The good: Locations is really good for Cedar point access. We had a bay view room, therefore view was very nice from room Pre-check in process is helpful, so that end of the day you can collect keys and head straight to room. Indoor waterpark was fun and staff was very good. Not so good: The showers attached to indoor waterpark barely worked. Just enough to put water on yourself. Terrible: The bed was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. Never in my life have experienced such a squeaky bed. You sit-it squeaks, you lie down-it squeaks, you turn-it squeaks. Why can’t the property invest in a decent mattress? Could not sleep the whole night and woke up with a head-ache!! Our bath tub had issues, so we could not even use it for the 1 night stay! Bathroom had no ventilation, yuck! Even motels in today’s world provide iron and iron board, none in the room. Paper thin walls, we could hear all conversations from next door room and foot steps from room above and outside of the door. Overall the rooms need major maintenance! You wonder what you paid for after not being able to sleep or take a bath.

My family as well as the families of two of our friends visited the hotel this weekend. The hotel is lovely, as was the staff, but the waterpark was a problem for us. None of the slides, nor the roller-coaster were running. Plus, the water was freezing, which wouldn't have been a problem if there was anything to do other than the wave pool. It was very disappointing because we had 7 kids with us. We chose this hotel because most wont ride rides at the park, and we wanted something for them to do. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything for them to do at the waterpark in the hotel. It was quite a bit of money to stay there, which we didn't mind paying because of the waterpark. We only spent about an hour in the waterpark the entire weekend. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

It was an amazing time! A lot of different activities for all age groups! We spent one of our days at cedar point, then returned to the hotel to finish our night with swimming and bowling. We wished we would have known you can fish beforehand! Must use caution outside on the lake because there are NO RAILINGS! It would take nothing to fall in! We also had ants in our room, but they reimbursed us 20% off our 2nd night and refunded $230 to our card. So we were appreciative of that!
Lindsey B — Google review
Check in was easy and the guy at the counter made sure our friend was on the same floor as us. Water park was little small compared to others we have been to but the kids still had fun and we didn't have to bring our towels. The breakfast on the other hand was over priced and the drinks were watered down. My husband was going to have coffee but it was out. I'd say if you stay here find another place for breakfast until they have someone to manage it and keep things filled up.
Crystal S — Google review
Decent hotel rooms and breakfast, it’s fun for kids. However, Sunday morning we got to the waterpark at 10am for a day of fun and by 10:20 they made everyone get out of the water. We waited but after 30 min they still weren’t letting us back in. While waiting there were ants everywhere throughout the park, climbing all over the chairs and ground, it was gross. I complained but they wouldn’t offer any assistance. The front desk said it was something about a power surge and they didn’t know when it’d be back open so we left. I have two very disappointed kids, and for the price it’s just not worth it.
Rebecca H — Google review
The rooms have 2 double beds, which are quite small for adults or older children to share. The sheets aren't nice feeling or fitting, so they come off the mattress while sleeping. Our room has boogers all over the walls, spiders and ants crawling around.... The water park was great though! My kids loved it and I could spend hours there. The staff were awesome.
Jill R — Google review
We took a family trip to Cedar Point and stayed for 4 days. Check-in was kind of stressful because they gave us a map and put us on the first floor but our room was on the 3rd. After we got that figured out, we got checked into our room. The smell in the room was different. It almost smelled like wet dirt or soiled laundry. Our shower had no shampoo or conditioner. We noticed that Housekeeping did not come once. By the third day, we had to call down to the front desk and ask for new towels. Our bedding was not switched out. We were not happy with this considering we stayed for a couple days and did not get checked up on. We went to the breakfast bar and it was $17 per person. It was okay food but we noticed we were the only family sitting and eating there. The water park was okay. It was packed and water slides were shut down. It was a fun experience but for the price we paid it was not worth it.

Taco restaurant
Barra Tacos + Cocktails is an up-and-coming Mexican restaurant that specialises in tacos and bowls alongside handcrafted cocktails. The restaurant has a lovely sense of decor and delicious food, making it a wonderful surprise after the food desert at the Lakeside Hotel. The Lakeside restaurant was unfortunately disappointing, with poor seasoning for their tacos being based in cumin.
Will definitely be back. Tacos start at $4.50 a piece and go up depending on what you choose. We split the carne asada taco, hibachi tacos, and the philly taco. My husband loved the philly Taco the best. We got a side of street corn that tasted really good. Also, got a bowl of corn chower to try. He preferred the street corn and i preferred the chowder. Would recommend either 2 tacos or 1 taco and a side as it is filling. Everything appeared to be clean. The bathroom was very clean when I was there.

Maybe my bar was set too high for a taco joint… everyone we talked to said go to Bart’s taco, it’s the best. 4/5 I got the steak tacos, one Philly and one hibachi. Both had good flavor and decent size but not worth $14 bucks. My wife got the lobster tacos and bang bang shrimp taco she seemed to be happy with her choice. Kids both got kids taco and fries. We also shared a 3 dip appetizer (which the portions of the dips were HUGE) but the queso tastes odd… it was fine but almost like it had been microwaved… 🤷‍♂️ Ultimately service was fine, food was fine, but $80 lunch for a family of 4 is a lot… just not seeing the value here…

Barrs is a small taco shop in downtown. It has great tacos that are stuffed to the brim with meat and toppings. The bowls are absolutely massive as well. The street corn is fantastic. The best thing we had here. It is worth coming for it. The corn was charred well and had a super flavorful sauce on top. The corn bread was an interesting app for a Mexican restaurant. It was really good, but it was definitely overpriced for 3 corn muffins at $9. If there were like 5 of them, I could see that price. The prices on everything else I felt were very reasonable. The tacos are also really great. Each taco is $7, but the standout is the lobster roll taco. I've not seen lobster tacos in many places, and this was definitely good and very reasonable at the price. There is only street parking for this location, but there is also a free parking lot at block away. The staff here was also very friendly and attentive. I would recommend stopping in when in town.

Definitely some of the best barbacoa tacos and drinks we've ever had. Loved the staff! It's sad we live 2hrs away but we will definitely come back.

Perfect chill bar and restaurant in downtown Sandusky. Had the spicy shrimp taco, the chorizo barra taco, and the lobster roll taco. Amazing! Their margaritas are really good too. 10/10 for sure.

Service was wonderful food was presented well and the wait wasn't long. Clean and nice environment. Rice bowl needs more meat. Chorizo dip was by far the best item. Bacon taco flavorful but not as good as the ones I had before needs another slice or two of bacon for the price. Philly taco heavy on the cheese but not disappointing!
Googler M — Google review
Solid. Rock solid. Watermelon jalapeño margaritas were sweet with a smokey kick. We got the salsa sampler with a variety of 8 different tacos amongst the 3 of us. They all had excellent flavor and creativity. Great atmosphere and the bathroom has the soft paper towels that feel like cloth (we really liked them). Very clean and overall we had an excellent experience, we would highly recommend. Thanks again for the great dinner!!

The tacos were perfect. The house margarita was perfect. The street corn was perfect. Nothing in Ohio deserves to be this good but was it good! It wasn't even Ohio good, it was like legit good. Also, very celiac friendly. Last big plus? While not a typical "family" restaurant, the staff were very sweet to my kiddos and they let us know about the off menu kids quesadilla. P.S if you do bring kids, may I recommend the corn bread - a total hit!

Italian restaurant
This unpretentious italian restaurant offers large slices and specialty pizzas, as well as subs, gyros and salads. The quality of the food is reminiscent of a Brooklyn slice and its consistent popularity has made it a favorite among locals.
Absolutely amazing small town pizza shop! If you ever get the chance to try out their BBQ pulled pork pizza with cheddar cheese stuffed crust I would not miss out on that. Best pizza in my opinion hands down. They also have a variety of pizzas that you can get just by the slice or they do pick up orders too. I just know that I haven't had a bad experience with this shop yet. Friendly staff as well!

Came in on a Friday night at 10, they are open till 1 a.m. on Fridays. Was told they would not make any specialty pizzas? Most their menu is specialty pizzas. So we opted for slices. Was told they were fresh... They were not even close. We got a total of 6 slices and 2 sodas which came to a total of 26 dollars. Very steep prices for old, semi warm not even close to being good pizza. I would rather get pizza from a gas station then that pizza. It's close to alot of bars tho so leaving a bar drunk their pizza might taste good... Stay away Mona pizza gourmet is anything but gourmet! The place looks ran down and nasty. I would not recommend! Only reason they got 1 star is because that's the least you can give

Horrible!! The worst pizza I have ever had. Thin dry cardboard crust with little to no toppings or flavor. The price was also $11 more than what the website said but even that I let go until I checked my bank account and apparently he decided to add himself a $5 tip too! So definitely be careful with that. I wish I would have taken pictures.

Decently good pizza! If you’re looking for a quick bite, definitely a place to go! Good pizza, only thing I have to say is the interior could be a bit better, as it does look kind of sketchy. But that’s just reading a book by its cover, as the pizza itself is actually pretty decent 👍
Cullen J — Google review
There are sandwiches and salads but pizza is the star in this unpretentious spot. It’s consistent quality reminiscent of a Brooklyn slice. Specialty pizza varieties, some of which you’ve never heard of, are popular here along with the classics. Order your pizza by phone or at the counter (including the gut busting “XL24”) but if you can’t wait, there’s usually a selection of individual slices ready.

Was downtown for a State Theater event and wanted to try somewhere I've never tried, local and close to the theater. Wasn't disappointed. Don't let the old school decor fool you. Great pizza - had the gyro speciality. Also had garlic bread w/cheese. Now that summer is coming I need to visit here more often and try some of the other varieties available. Apologies for the half-eaten piece. Was already enjoying when I thought I should take a picture.

Happy friendly owner and staff. They seem to be very happy at their work. Great downtown location with comfortable indoor table and booth dinning. Outdoor seating and tables out front on sidewalk. As for the pizza it was ok but skimpy on the toppings. I ordered a all meat specialty pizza and all I could see was the pepperoni. Thinking the rest of the meat was under the cheese I thought ok, looks good. While eating I was thinking where's the bacon, where's the ham? Not finding much hamburger or sausage either. A little disappointing. 😐

I ordered a pizza medium after the guy was trying to talk me and my friend into buying the single slices but they look old and they weren't that big so I just wanted to get a fresh. whole pizza so him and I ordered bottles of pop and they were hot so I asked him did they have any cold ones cuz I thought maybe he might have just stocked it up but that wasn't the case so then I asked him did he have any cups of ice so we could drink our Pops and make it colder but he said no there was no ice so I asked my friend just get a seat because we are had already ordered the pizza and I was going to run across the street and get us both cups of ice so are pop would be cool for us to drink I was then given back my money and told that I had an attitude because I didn't want to drink his hot pop and he had a severe attitude with me

First time at Famous Dave’s and boy did they spoil us!! The food was amazing and we can’t wait to go back!! Everything hot, fresh and fabulous!! Charnelle was our server and she exceeded all our expectations, guiding us through the apps and entrees, keeping our drinks full and the last fill ups were in Togo cups!! She was excellent!! Got the famous bread pudding Togo and a couple of boxes for those big portions we just couldn’t finish!! Famous Dave’s lived up to its name for sure!!

This restaurant is attached to the Castaway Bay resort. So you'd expect a warm welcome when arriving and a positive vibe throughout. We arrived for dinner and told there would be a 15 minute wait, which was fine. As we waited, it was clear that the host stand was a hangout for the staff and manager. Sitting just a few feet away, my family and I heard and witnessed multiple staff complaining to a manager who was clearly in "hangout" mode. It was not only offputting, but the manager did nothing to redirect the staff away from the front to a private area. That is NOT the way I want my family to enter an otherwise reputable business to enjoy a good meal while on vacation. When we were seated, we noticed there were plentiful open tables... they clearly were not busy. Not sure why we waited at all. One bright spot was Ben our waiter, who was very professional and friendly and an overall excellent server. The food also was very good. As we left, we again passed by the host station where just the manager was standing and he didn't even make eye contact with us or even tell us to have a good evening. I would suggest that there was zero leadership here and that is unfortunate as the staff all seemed very eager to serve to the best of their ability. The manager... not so much.

Wish they didn’t change locations, it feels way less like a BBQ join and more of cooperate cedar point. Side note it’s not Halloween yet but it’s always fun to see spider webs while you watch TV. That said the food is still great and fast service

If there are food trucks at the Pearly Gates I know I'll be looking for Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que because this food is so Heavenly its out of this world. My only prayer is that my Angel of a server KIPP will be on duty cause she doesn't miss a thing and that's a breath of fresh air in today's food service industry.

Service was friendly. Brisket tasted really good but was a little rubbery like it needed to cook just a little longer. Seasoning was delicious. Mashed potatoes and coleslaw were excellent. Sauces for the meats were also excellent. Two guests that were with me lived their meals. Chicken strips and smoked wings. Cornbread is to die for.

Went today for the first time since it had changed from Quaker Steak and Lube. We missed the variety on the menu fir both food and drink. The BUFFALO wings were really really good and so were the burnt ends. There was also an excellent array of barbecue sauce on the table. The waitress was personable and very good the service was average. I ordered it Dave's rum punch And the glass was very small. Just didn't see the value!

A wonderful time was had by all in our party. The food was top notch. I've never had such amazing ribs. Any place can amazing food. What really put this over the top for us was our server Randi. She was prompt, professional, but also funny. We had our young autistic song with us and she talked directly to him and he lit up. He almost never reacts positively to strangers. Randi had something about her aura that connected with our Johnnie.

This restaurant was dirty, the catchup dispenser looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and it was morning. When I asked for catchup in a packet the manager asked if the dispenser was out and I said that I didn’t know, it was filthy and I wasn’t touching it. She leaned both of them back and took them to was not getting me any packets of catchup. I waited for the next person who came to the counter to get them. Mold was visible between the ice and sod dispensers. Nasty! I won’t be back.

My wife and I both got burgers and they were way to salty. I was hungry so I had to eat it, but my wife threw hers out. Ordered milkshakes and 1/3 was whipped cream. Never had such a bad meal here before. Not a fan of kiosk ordering either.

Took 40 minutes to get my food, in that time only 1 order went out and her whole order was wrong. Drive thru was closed and they still took forever to get simple orders out. The employee with the tie die shirt playing to much and messing up orders and dropped a spatula on the floor. Horrible service and food is cold now.

I've been out of the state for 10 years and when I saw the Steak 'n Shake I just had to stop and get a steak burger. My fist clue something was up was that the parking lot was empty. I'm not used to that. It used to always be busy. Inside we were greeted by sterile kiosks, not a friendly host. There were more kiosks than there were customers. We ordered and sat down and waited for our food. It came out quickly and hot and for the most part it was delicious. The only complaint I have is that the bun seemed like it was made by Great Value. They could have selected a better baker.
Fletcher C — Google review
First of all I placed an online order 20 minutes before I arrived at the restaurant, we waited in the lobby for 1 hour before we even got our food after watching MULTIPLE people come in after us and place an order they received their food before us over and over and over after waiting an hour to get our food we then waited another 35 minutes for 2 milkshakes and when we asked for our food to be remade the guy that worked in the back is completely racist!!!! He served all people of his color before us and completely was unprofessional he then decided to run his mouth and yell from the kitchen how we are stupid and should have ate while we waited 35 minutes for milkshakes even though we placed a to go order, the poor man cooking seems scared of him, so he re made our food and then we waited for our milkshakes again after watching the same people who came in after us get served yet again!!!! Because they went back over and placed another order when they finished eating and drinking their milkshakes they got there new milkshakes again before we even got ours. I Will ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER EVER EVER go back to this location this is the worst service i have ever seen and absolutely so unprofessional I can’t even believe it and the manager needs to step up and not let a kitchen cook talk crap about people that is paying $50 for food!!! If I could give them 0000 stars I would!

Dunkin' is a well-established chain that offers a range of breakfast options and coffee beverages. The staff at this location are highly professional and friendly, leaving customers with a delightful experience. With their beautiful smiles and wonderful service, they can brighten up anyone's day. However, some customers may find that the selection of breakfast items is limited, consisting of only four choices. Nonetheless, the cappuccino offered by Dunkin' is enjoyable.
It’s Dunkin’. You know it’s good. Brad a donut and coffee, killing time! Easy access being connected to a gas station. I am so sad. As we were leaving, every tray of donuts were being thrown into an industrial size trash bag. The amount of waste is heartbreaking when I know there are so many people who would eat them. Even donate to a nursing home. Is this common practice?

I see some hit and miss reviews here, but my experience was amazing . First off, it was labor day, so I was worried about the hours but they were open and ready for business! Staff was friendly and efficient. I actually had the first drink from my order in my hand before I finished my order. That is saying something for the crew working this day . I have had so many bad experiences with Dunkin in my home area it was truly refreshing to see a together establishment. We had 3 people's orders and our food arrived quickly. It was on par with what I expected. Kudos to the folks working so hard in a holiday.

How can Dunkin be the MOST inconsistent when making coffee? An iced vanilla coffee with cream and sugar and I guess ZERO ice?? It’s all milk and sugar. Literally NO coffee! You all HAVE to find a way to make coffee consistently - for real! Waste of money. AGAIN. Just paid $4 for sweet milk. Awesome. The service was fine. Girl was friendly. That’s it!

Ordered the croissant meal with hashbrowns for $6. They rang it all up separately so ended up being $9. Ordered 4 egg ham and cheese wraps. Only got egg and cheese. Told them about this and they said the receipt says egg and cheese. I was also missing the chocolate milks I ordered so I didn’t want to argue with them anymore about the thier mistakes THAT I PAID FOR after waiting 10 minutes in the drive thru.

The Toft Dairy Ice Cream Parlor is a historic Sandusky landmark that specializes in generous scoops of ice cream in a variety of flavors. The shop features a patio where visitors can sit and enjoy the fresh, delicious flavors.
I've been going to Toft's my entire life. Recently, my wife came home and showed me a Valentine's Day Sunday that they had. So we went over and tried it. It was absolutely incredible, and it was so big that we both split it. The cost was only $10, and as always, the Tofts ice cream was the best around.

We love Toft’s Ice Cream! As out of state visitors to Sandusky, we always make sure and stop here when we are in town. The line always moves fast, and every flavor I’ve tried has been a hit. Warning-portions are HUGE, so double check the sizes before ordering.
Beth C — Google review
It's the oldest dairy farm in Ohio. They produce some damn good products. We stopped by for some delicious ice cream and they didn't disappoint!! The line might look long but it goes fast. They had plenty of staff and the place was nice and clean. We will definitely be back. We buy Tofts where we live so it was nice to see where its all produced. Thanks again!!
Vinny C — Google review
The ice cream was so delicious, and the amount that we got for the price was not bad at all. The staff was more than helpful. They have some seating in side and out side as well.

Great place to stop for some delicious quality ice cream after a day at cedar point! Lots of flavors (including a couple dairy free!) sundaes, banana splits and milkshakes. I got the sunshine milkshake (see photo) and it tasted just like a creamsicle! It was definitely enough to share as well.
Angela H — Google review
Oh my goodness. The selections are incredible. The "small" is NOT small it's like 4 scoops! Definitely get your money worth here. Super friendly. Husband got a milkshake (his favorite) customized. It was delicious, took a bit of time to make, though.

One of our favorite stops on the way to Cedar Point. There is also a location in Poort Clinton close to East Harbor State Park. Nice family owned Dairy with large serving size. Great value for your money. You can also get ice cream, gallons of Milk, and other dairy products to go! Shirts, Sweatshirts, onsies, hats on sale.

Very lovely ice cream shop! The staff was really sweet and confirmed allergens for me. The portions are gianormous, and the ice cream was DELISH. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! they had a dairy free Italian ice and their ice creams for the most okay are gluten free. I am really glad we stopped by!

Berardi's Family Kitchen in Sandusky, OH is a popular spot for homestyle American and Italian dishes. The restaurant has been serving delicious food for over 75 years and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. Visitors can enjoy a variety of favorites such as beef brisket, Lake Erie yellow perch, baked lasagna, chicken or veal Parmesan, and their famous fries that have been a hit since 1939.
I love this place. Every time we are in town we try to stop here. All the food is made with care. Even the chicken they put on the salad is cooked perfectly and seasoned with love. Don’t leave here without fries and pie either!

Had a delicious lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was packed! The service was very good and the restaurant was clean. I recommend salad with ranch dressing and the trying their fries!

Love this restaurant. First time experience. Can see myself a local. Got the Friday special. As there are many to choose from. HOT tea. Was amazing as it’s served with honey and hot water. My ceasers salad was A1 top tier. Don’t miss out! Get your soup as I got their baked potato! Mmmmm! Delicious GEM!
Jose G — Google review
We were recommended this restaurant when we visited the Merry go round museum. Everything was wonderful. The French onion soup looked unlike other French onion soups I've had, but was absolutely fantastic! I had the perch dinner which was also great. There were zero complaints from our party of 8 and the service was very friendly and attentive. We took our desserts to go and haven't tried them yet, but they look to die for!

My husband and I ate breakfast at Berardi’s and what a treat it was. We were greeted at the door and seated promptly. Our order was taken and our food arrived in a timely manner hot and fresh. This is a small family restaurant and their attention to detail shows. My husband had the Bourbon Pecan French Toast and he said it was the best French Toast he has ever had! Don’t miss their great food and hospitality.

Food was fantastic! The reason for 4 stars on service, had to wait for our bill but wanted to add pie. Very friendly! Rib eye sandwich w/fries and Berardi's burger w/br mushrooms.

The food was absolutely phenomenal and the staff is just as amazing best place in Sandusky by far

Truly a 10/10 experience. Even though it was busy, got sat right away and our hostess and server were as kind as could be. All of our orders were correct, huge, and unbelievably delicious. The fries are as legendary as they say. The salads were so fresh and everything was definitely homemade from scratch. The icing on the cake was their cream cheese pecan pie. I cannot wait to come back!!

Can’t get much better.. outside seating, delicious walleye and perch tacos with generous portions of fish and lovely live music… oh and washed all down with local brews on tap. Definitely worth the stop.. and for you fellow RVers.. there’s a big parking lot easily navigated.

Stopped here for a cheaper meal option after Cedar Shores. Beautiful. Delicious. Worth a trip if it’s own. We will definitely be back!

The food is very tasty and portions are plentiful. We enjoy sitting out by the water and listening to the live music while enjoying dinner. The prices are reasonable for today's restaurants. A typical stop when I'm the Sandusky area for a visit. The Erie Perch sandwich is very good as are the fries.

Good food at a decent price with a great atmosphere. Had perch tacos, steak tacos, and nachos. All were really good. Bartender was super friendly and the food came out quick. Will definitely go back

Second to none summertime setting on Sandusky Bay. Sunsets and vibes are 12/10. Bring your family and friends. Plenty of room for everybody. And you’re going to want your phones handy when the freighters are coming by. 💯 Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is fast, fresh, and made to order. We were there this week. Again. They were boomin. Again. And we couldn’t believe how fast and orderly the food was getting out for everyone. Operational excellence on full display. Refreshing to see these days. We’re so lucky to have such a well oiled machine operating here. Thank you for setting such a strong standard. 🙏

Fantastic all around, the staff, the food, the view. This wonderful restaurant is highly recommend. So beautiful with a incredible view of the water, boats, and islands. The food is fresh and very tasty. We loved it and we will always come back here when we are in the area.

My husband said these were the best fish tacos he's had (he got the perch)! Super reasonable prices and great lake view!
Kari W — Google review
I absolutely love eating here! This spot has quickly become one of my go-to places whenever I’m in the area. If you’re spending the day at Cedar Point and don’t want to deal with the overpriced, underwhelming theme park food, this place is the perfect alternative. It’s just a short drive away and so worth it. The food here is consistently delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re in the mood for tacos, burgers, or something more unique, the menu has great variety and everything I’ve tried has been a hit. But what really makes this place stand out is the staff. Everyone I’ve encountered has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, perfect for families, friends, or even just grabbing a quick bite on your own. Clean space, quick service, and great vibes all around. If you’re in the area — especially if you’re visiting Cedar Point — do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

Specialty Museums
The Merry-Go-Round Museum, located in the original Sandusky Post Office building, offers a fascinating glimpse into amusement and carousel history. Visitors can marvel at exquisite vintage carousel figures and learn about Dentzel carving tools. The museum features rare pieces such as a Gustav Dentzel deer from 1895, a Charles Looff goat and camel from 1880, and the King Armored horse by Daniel Muller from Cedar Point's Kiddieland carousel.
So I was expecting more but it was still fun! Took my kids to the merry go round museum while on vacation. I always try to go non traditional museums or zoos when we are on a get away. So first we tried to go on a Tuesday but they were closed (google said they were open 😑) so we came back on Wednesday. They open at 11am, we go there a little after. It was almost $40 for a family of 4. You get 1 free ticket for the carousel per person… if you want more rides it’s a $1. When you walk in you can see all kinds of animals from the carousels some are over 100 years old! The volunteers working there are friendly and kind. Another fun thing they have an available is a scavenger hunt. I really recommend doing that, it’s a great excuse to really look at every exhibit and get your moneys worth. Plus if you complete it you get a prize from the gift shop. They also have a little station where people are making new pieces by hand. If your a nerd like me it’s cool to get a glimpse of the process.. Also it’s not advertised well, but this is a 2 for 1 museum. They have a “cedar point” museum inside as well, it’s like a small room and hallway but still cool. Even tho I expected more especially for the price my kids had fun and we spent about a hour and half enjoying ourselves!
Skyler R — Google review
This place is amazing! Our daughter loves carousels and this place was incredible. So much history, beautiful horses, and we stayed here for hours. It is very affordable and we would highly recommend. There is a cedar point museum inside as well. We enjoyed it here and will return!
Jackilyn B — Google review
You need to see this fantastic museum. You get to ride a real historic carousel. Beautiful displays so much to see. Wonderful Cedar Point museum inside this museum. You get two museums in one building. Feel like a kid again, bring out some great memories.
Peter S — Google review
Very informative displays and volunteers. Learned a few things I never knew about carousel and the horses/animals. Great display on cedar point as well lots of memorabilia. Best part you get a free carousel ride included with your entry
Mary H — Google review
It was nice to find that there's more to Sandusky than just Cedar Point. This was such an adorable find! While the Carousel museum is comprised of one larger room and a smaller one off the side for the Cedar Point History Museum, there is so much to look at. They have carousel animals and pieces all along the outer area around a rideable carousel in the middle of the room. They'll give you a ride ticket when you enter and extra rides are $1. Take some time and read the information screens and signs they have posted to learn more about the animals you see. The even have a woodworker come in on the weekend that you can watch!
Alice B — Google review
A fun little stop! Has a carousel you can ride and different carvings and some history to look at. There is also a cedar point museum inside full of history of cedar point. We enjoyed this stop, but is not very big so can be a quicker stop.
Tessa — Google review
The nostalgia is alive at the Merry-Go-Round Museum. There is a rideable carousel in the center of the showroom floor and it’s included with admission. The outstanding, varied collection of iconic, bizarre, peculiar, and familiar figures will provide a lot of conversations and laughs with friends and strangers. As soon a you walk through the door, you are greeted with dozens of carousel figures that look like almost every animal imaginable. The front counter resembles a circus tent. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The museum is self-guided with no time limit. Take in every detail of the decades of history around you. You’ll find more than a few curiosities. Since it’s a museum, there are a few displays to help inform you of the long and surprising history of merry-go-rounds. This doubles as a museum for Cedar Point amusement park, which is included with your admission as well. Dozens of glass cases filled with a hundred years of park history. There are shirts, buttons, photos, pins, mugs, and many more items to view. There are banners and old park posters so you can take a visual walk through history. The end of this area is filled with art inspired by the park. Lastly, there is a case dedicated to Sandusky’s own Miss America 1963, Jacquelyn Mayer. Pieces of memorabilia from her big win, news articles, and photos to bring you back to her crowning moment. All-in-all, this was a neat couple of hours. The Merry-Go-Round Museum is exactly what it needs to be. Go for fun, go to learn, or go to realize just how bizarre the makers of carousels can get.
Mappening R — Google review
This place was really cute, and the artistry of the carved animals was beautiful. $10 for adults, $7 for seniors. Entry fee includes a ride on a gorgeous old merry-go-round. It's not for everyone, but if appreciate the place merry-go-rounds hold in American History then you will walk away happy!

Nestled in the heart of Sandusky, Ohio, Brick Oven Bistro is a cozy pizza haven that truly embodies the spirit of family dining. This charming eatery specializes in crafting delicious brick oven pizzas and calzones, with an impressive array of options including build-your-own creations and gluten-free crusts for those with dietary restrictions.
We got pizza to go and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. If you like thin crust then you will love this pizza. It was the perfect donenness and you can tell they use quality cheese and sauce. My wife was also able to get a gluten, dairy and soy free pizza and it was really good too. I got ranch to dip my pizza in and it wasn’t needed but I use it on some crust and it was good and homemade too.
Trey E — Google review
Lots of subs, bruschettas, and uniquely named pizzas on the menu. Service is straightforward and mostly friendly, but it may take a bit for the pizza to be cooked, which is not an issue as one can spend the time enjoying one of the bruschettas as an appetizer. Prices are on the high side.
Michael S — Google review
Their pizza is good for the Sandusky area but it won’t blow you away. The fact that they offer vegan cheese is a huge win but the customization options are pretty limited. It’s also not a quick restaurant. We waited at least 45 minutes for three individual pies and it wasn’t all that crowded. This won’t be a place we revisit next time we are in the area but don’t let that deter you from giving it your own shot.

We are traveling and stopped in to the Brick Oven Bistro for dinner. THE BEST pizza we have had! The zucchini fries were amazing! Our waiter was fantastic as well! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I were really craving pizza after the few days we had spent in Sandusky. We chose this bistro because of how good the reviews were, and I’m glad to say we absolutely made the right choice!! The pizza was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly, the toppings large and plentiful. So much more satisfying than any of the other pizzas I’ve had recently. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff were all really friendly. If you’re in the area, and they also did offer a gluten free option and a wide range of choices. Brick Oven Bistro won’t disappoint!

Very good place for pizza! It's a fire baked pizza made to order. Takes a little bit for the order to come out but the wait it worth it. The staff is very good and friendly

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Sandusky. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The drinks are great, and they never run out of beer on tap. The food has always been a hit. They started offering birria and the tacos are delicious! My family definitely reccommends!

The food was good but the portions were small. There was nothing grand about the grand fajita but it tasted good. The service wasn't good. The hostess and server seemed rude but maybe that's just their culture. Wouldn't bother going back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ El Grand Patron delivers an amazing Mexican dining experience! The flavors are authentic and bold, with every dish tasting fresh and made to perfection. The tacos are bursting with flavor, the enchiladas are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the margaritas are the perfect finishing touch. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming. Easily one of the best Mexican restaurants around — highly recommend!

It's been awhile since we've ate here. They have always been good but tonight our food was too tier. I got a horchata to go. Let me tell you It's so good I will be thinking about this drink for days 😉

The food is decent enough but the service is terrible. I ordered a carne asada and they didn’t bother to bring me a steak knife. Our waitress whose tag said LU is a bitter person who should not be serving people. She never bothered to check if we needed something. Whenever we thanked her for something, she would mumble “uhu” like she’s a mute. I may never come back just so I don’t have to deal with her 😩
Happy T — Google review
The food you can tell is reheated several times and it is not made to order. The service is mediocre at best the waitress has some non funny jokes that insulted our nationality...the atmosphere is slow and looks like the business is barely afloat... Will never go there again..

After leaving Cedar Point, we stumbled upon The Club Restaurant & Bar, a place with a kitchen that stays open until 10pm. We were relieved to find it just in time and worried about arriving late, but the staff was accommodating and delighted to serve us after our long day at the amusement park. The food was delicious, and even the chef personally brought out our meals. This charming vintage establishment had unique ceiling fans powered by one motor connected by belts.
The building was originally an orphanage. Then it was a private club. In the last several years it evolved into a great bar and grill. I had stuffed peppers and Cole slaw, both were excellent. Service was good and the ambiance was very interesting. Paintings and old photos cover the walls. Downstairs is another bar with couches as well as booths for private parties. The outside ding area is 2 stories.
Linda O — Google review
The service was truly excellent — 10/10. Our server was kind, attentive, and did everything she could to make things right. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the same standard. The pasta was badly overcooked, and even after sending it back, it came out just as mushy the second time. We really appreciated that the dish was taken off the bill and that a complimentary meal was offered — very professional handling. However, for what it was, the meal was too expensive. The food quality simply didn’t justify the price. Sadly, even with the great service, I wouldn’t come back.
Pat R — Google review
I was greatly surprised…Previous posts were pretty much spot on. Perfectly cooked (requested rare) Midwest Ribeye with chef’s potatoes and Asparagus. The server missed my salad until the end. I wish the bartender had been a little more attentive to my empty glass both times, but other than that it was a great experience. I think the ambience and choices of seating is phenomenal. I chose to sit at the bar as it was the middle of the dinner rim and I was a single. I’d love to bring my lovely lady here. Outdoor seating in the couches is especially exceptional, the upper outside deck is equally appealing. Another great meal on PRP Aviation’s charter supporting the NHRA!

Celebrated my son’s 20th birthday this evening.. Our server was TOP NOTCH! She didn’t miss a beat. She went above and beyond for our party! The best service I’ve had in a long time. Thanks babe ❤️

Wife and I took a trip to put-in-bay and Cedar point, made a weekend out of it. We wanted to have one nice dinner, and we sure picked the right spot. I was after a nice big steak... and for a tomahawk, $55 dollars is a steal. I got it blackened and asked for a horseradish cream sauce. They knocked it out of the park!! Thanks for being exactly what we wanted. My wife got a New york strip. The sides were also delicious. It was a great experience and also a cool place.

I went there for Dinner with extended family. Kylie our server was friendly and professional. She went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was pleasant. Our party of Nine did not have anything less than great food. From Tomahawk Steak to Prime Rib Friday specials, all were cooked to their culinary perfection. One member of the party remarked, "Tell the warden I'm ready to go". If you are staying at cedar point or traveling to Sandusky this is a must stop location.

A super elegant and welcoming establishment. The owner is passionate about her Crush wine bar. The food was amazing, sushi and steak. Downtown Sandusky near the water.
Sonny W — Google review
Just visiting town and Crush was recommended to us. Excellent meal and service all around. We started with the olives and pate. My wife is Gluten Free, so they gave us half bread and half cucumber slices. Delicious. For the main meal, we chose the Halibut special and the seafood pasta dish - both home runs. We had a house Savignon Blanc and the sour beer (this one is very sour). They have a great wine selection and a number of drafts. Highly recommended.

Not Quite the Crush I Was Hoping For We had high hopes for Crush Wine Bar in Sandusky, but our experience missed the mark. Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a table blasted by the setting sun—making it tough to enjoy the ambiance. Oddly, OpenTable still showed plenty of available tables, so it felt like poor seating management. We started with the calamari and asked for a side of marinara—it arrived ice cold, like it had just come out of the fridge. Not ideal. The special of the night was already sold out, so I settled for the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Unfortunately, it was underwhelming—bland, in need of salt and parm to bring it to life. Our server was kind and attentive, but overall, it wasn’t the kind of evening we were hoping for. For a place marketed as a date night destination, it needs some fine-tuning.

Food: amazing Atmosphere: slightly loud Drinks: perfect Price: doable Attire: classy Service: friendly Complaints: no ranch! 🤣 Our new favorite spot. Highly recommend. We tried old fashions, scallops, brussel sprouts, sushi and a few pizzas. It was a wonderful place to venture to. We will be back. I have zero complaints other than. I prefer ranch with my pizza and our server would not go to the store to grab us some (kidding) it really was a great place. Please give them a try I think you will enjoy your time there.

Unfortunately they have dropped off in service! I had them at a solid 5, now they barely hold a 2! This was my old revie... no longer accurate! **Fantastic Food!!!! Excellent Service! Sambuco Scallops were off the charts. Wine flights were excellent!!

Despite its flawed service, Crush is a restaurant worth visiting for its exceptional food. Our experience was hampered by slow, inattentive staff. We had to ask for silverware for our entrees, and to our surprise, we were given a dirty appetizer fork in return. However, the food more than made up for the poor service. The bolognese was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The brussels sprouts were a standout dish, perfectly crispy and seasoned. While the service leaves much to be desired, the fantastic food makes Crush a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area. Just be prepared for a potentially frustrating experience with the staff.
Jeremy K — Google review
It’s our second time dining at Crush in a week. Two Saturday evenings in a row. Last Saturday we ate in the bar and it was every bit of wonderful. This Saturday we brought a guest and we sat out on the front patio. Elli was our excellent server in both visits! This place is awesome. Wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces to dine. They have two different patio areas. And the restaurant is a short easy walk down to the lake after dinner. We are NA beverage customers, so I can’t talk about the wine or the cocktails. But our food was amazing! We had the special summer peach salad, the smoked trout dip appetizer was fantastic and I don’t even usually like fish! We also had the salmon entrée, The Bolognese pasta entrée and the crabcake chef special entrée! Beautiful presentation, Great portions, and amazing flavor! We just rediscovered this place after seeing the promos about the City of Sandusky ribbon-cutting and all the wonderful things right there on that block in Sandusky. We don’t live nearby, but this is definitely going to be our new go-to spot anyway! We had an opportunity to see the entrées at the tables nearby to us, and whether it was sushi, steak, flatbread or any of the other choices, It looked like everybody was enjoying everything they had! They do get busy on the weekend, so be sure you snag a reservation!

Nestled along the scenic waterfront of Sandusky, Ohio, The Original Margaritaville is a seasonal gem that captures the essence of summer dining. With its expansive deck offering stunning views and a vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant is perfect for those looking to unwind with delicious Tex-Mex cuisine. Guests can indulge in an array of flavorful dishes such as tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas while enjoying live music on weekends.
Go check it out for yourself!! We are foodies and it was great!!! Bacon wrapped dates are to die for (watch for toothpicks). Chorizo corn cakes are calling me back. The queso, chicken nachos and burger in paradise had everyone else pleased. Pleasant staff, didn’t take long and I LOVE places that give you half order options especially if we take our kids! Under $55 to fully feed 3 adults is good in this area!!! Could have fed a 4th or a few kids, half orders are still large.

This place was so good we went back two days in a row. Mexican/American bar food menu, quick food service, and friendly staff. Extremely reasonable prices. Free chips and salsa were tasty, the queso dip was thick and flavorful, and I can personally vouch for the burrito, the tacos, the burger on a tortilla, and the chicken sandwich. Veggies were fresh and food came out hot (and very quickly both times). They also have tons of outdoor seating if that’s what you like, but we sat inside to enjoy the cold air. Bonus, we sat at a table next to a huge window in front of a small waterfall. Added bonus, the fries were fantastic. Very different from what I’m used to, a flatter wide cut fry with a hint of seasoning. An absolutely PERFECT break for food and air-conditioning from Cedar Point. This will probably be my go-to for an amusement park launch from now on.

We stopped by for a quick bite on our way home! The bartender was quick to greet us & came back to serve us since the server was slammed. The outside menu was small but had something for everyone. The food came out fast and everything was delicious! We have always loved it here. Great atmosphere! A must stop! Waterfall too!

Nice date night spot to have some dinner by the waterfall, or just for a drink at their bar. Good service, and great food.

Another day, another bucket list item checked off! What a gorgeous and fun little oasis right on the outskirts of Sandusky! Conveniently located off the interstate and state route 6, you’ll find yourself on island time right in Ohio. They had the music going and drinks ready to go! We chose to dine at the Tiki side and that has a reduced menu but that was fine for what we were after. We went on a Wednesday evening and the crowd was small, the waitress was so friendly and the wait for food was minimal! Note that on the tiki side you must be 21 and up to enter that side, but on the left they have indoor seating and you can see the waterfall from in there! #datenight #dateideas #lakeerie #margaritaville #sanduskyohio Food was ok: wings were the best thing we got: the tequila Lime was phenomenal! Fries were more like chips and the first batch was over cooked so they made me fresh which was an improvement! Prices are good for the level of food!

New management and owner. Chef made stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. They were incredible!!! I have never had anything like that before. Beautiful scenery.

Not our first time at this little spot. But it is our first time under the new ownership. We came in on a Monday night. The inside was closed so we sat outside on the deck. They might have been a little understaffed but the outside bartender took very good care of us. The food was better than the last time we were here. We will definitely be back. Glad you reopened!! We enjoy the deck and waterfall. Thanks again!!

Nestled conveniently near the new Holiday Inn Express on Cedar Point Drive, the Thirsty Pony Restaurant is a delightful casual eatery that promises a fun-filled experience for everyone. This vibrant spot serves up an array of American cuisine, from mouthwatering steaks and gourmet pizzas to juicy burgers and pasta dishes.
I'm going to start this review by first stating that I am from New Orleans. I know food. I know fun. I know restaurants. I know good service when I receive it. We were on vacation visiting Cedar Point for 3 days. We needed a good place to eat because we were done with McDonald's and other mediocre fast food joints. We saw this place by our hotel, and decided to go in. It's gimmicky. But, it's gimmicky in the most excellent way! I'm not going to try to describe the inside because you can easily Google images of this place. I'm going to tell all of you that the food is probably some of the best food I've had at an establishment like this. Their Ruben sandwich is amazing. I've never had one so good in my entire life. Their ribs are freaking great! Trust me, we tried each other's food, and we found everything to be delicious as if you're in New Orleans. I'm serious, places like this don't normally have great food, but this place has freaking awesome food! There is beer here. Their beer is really good. Their service is really good. The waiters and waitresses are really good. The bartenders are really good. Everybody is so freaking friendly and fun. We enjoyed going here three times while we were in Sandusky. I highly recommend this place for any vacationer in the area, or just anybody living in this area. We are so happy we ate here, and we would come again in a heartbeat.

We were in Sandusky for spring break. I wanted to take my family to a family, friendly sports bar and watch the NFL draft so we settled here on the thirsty pony. We were surprised to see a place that was offering the “world famous “Fricker’s chicken wings. Were from Dayton, Ohio so we have Fricker everywhere. We know better than they used to be great wings. They’re more basic bar wings at best, but we decided to go here because it felt familiar compared to the other sports bars in the area. First off the good. We like the non-Fricker’s items, especially the appetizers, like the Nashville, hot cheese, curds, and the giant pretzel. We also liked the kids meals because they came and divided plates with applesauce and goldfish. What we didn’t like. Where to start honestly every review that you read about service times and the weight staff is 100% correct after being told to sit wherever we’d like it took almost 20 minutes for us to be greeted in another 15 to 20 minutes just to get waters. As time went on, I started to notice how dirty the restaurant was and also it would smell like weed here and there. I don’t know if it was the kitchen staff or an open window somewhere, but it seemed to blow in here and there and really ruined the atmosphere. Don’t be wrong. This place definitely has potential and has some good ideas built into the concept, but it needs a major overhaul. If it’s gonna be family friendly I’m assuming they’re only surviving off of the sports betting that’s happening and the hotel that’s next-door.

First off Jade was amazing. The experience overall was as well but when a 17 year old busser ruins everything we have a problem. Management needs to train young people. Apparently they don’t care, unlike Cedar Point which trains young people well - Thirsty Pony does not. This young kid bussing tables decides to spray the table behind us so aggressive directly onto the table top that the spray hits the back of a guest at our table and he gets called out and shows attitude to paying guests. Use a towel to spray on then wipe down not spray first. Easy lesson to teach and practice. It turned into an altercation in the dining room because this punk thought he was right. He wasn’t and the management could care less. You people should learn from Cedar Point about how to training your staff. That kid needs a lesson in hospitality.

I was so excited ! I love the decor if you love horses- like I do - its great! Free beer and wine and a chocolate horse shaped sucker in the room. So cool ! We brought our grandson here and drove almost 4 hrs to come here for the night, bowl and play games and then are fishing tomorrow morning - should have been perfect——- except the bowling and all the games closed early because no one was there after their league finished. And they wouldn’t make any exceptions. I really am struggling with so many emotions of how disappointed I am. Had we known they would do this , we could have eaten in that area instead of the restaurant to let them know we were going to be using the bowling and game rooms… I really don’t know what else to say- I’m heartbroken 💔 that the night we had planned and been so excited for didn’t happen. I honestly want to just cry. You get these chances once in a while with your kids and grandkids and they closed early????? I can’t even process - the pictures were before the disappointing ending

Definitely coming back for the spinach artichoke dip alone. I didn't want to stop chewing. The wings were delicious I got the kicking bourbon molasses. The fries were crispy. My daughter enjoyed her boom boom shrimp. Quality worth the money

The food was good for a bar, the drinks were great and presented as advertised. The atmosphere wasn't bad either. I just can't give this place more than a 2 star. We went there 2 times. The first time with my spouse for drinks. The 2nd time with the kids. On both occasions the lady at the front desk instructed us to take a seat and would let our waitress know we were there. That never happened on both occasions. The first time the waitress just stumbled across her table she was responsible for being occupied by us. The 2nd time, my family sat waiting for 20 minutes. I finally had to find a manager to make a complaint. When the waitress showed up, she said no one told her we were there. Then, she took my kids drink orders and then walked off and said she'll be back. She didn't even bother to get my drink order or my spouses. The service in general was horrible. Too bad, it showed potential.

Enjoyed the kids menu so much I added a picture of it cause it’s SO TRUE!!! lol Had a wonderful 2 nights there. First night was just getting into town for work. Had a couple drinks before going back to room. Bartenders were wonderful and great. Quick to help you and carry on conversation with you and others. Very busy place both nights. Sat at bar both nights. Waited 5-10 min for seat second night. Got to try fried pickles which were amazing highly recommend and the whiskey burgher with fries and a pasta salad as a side I’m not on to normally finish all my food but I did with this burgher. Was very delicious of ur looking for a burgher. Menu looked to have several very good things. Went in for ribs but they had sold out for the day so settle on a burgher. Locals told me pulled pork and wings sauces r good to try as well. Maybe if there again I will try The location also has bowling , axe throwing, arcades and sports betting attached to them. They were closed on days I was there Monday - Wednesday so check availability on that. Believe open later in week. Did try n bowl but wasn’t able to. If u like horse betting this place is for you

Goofy Golf is a family-friendly amusement center that offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for both adults and children over the age of 3. The outdoor area features 36 creatively designed mini-golf holes suitable for all ages, as well as three go-kart racing tracks with height restrictions starting at 54 inches. Visitors can also enjoy bumper boat rides and an air-conditioned arcade.
We had a blast! Love the different go kart tracks! We will be going back!
Jennifer ( — Google review
Goofy Golf was so much fun, the only reason I’ve given it a 4 stars is because at least half of the arcade games were either turned off or out of service. The arcade is already small in itself, so having half of games off wasn’t good. The really fun part was the mini golf, there are two 18 holes each and then there’s three cart racing tracks. One of the tracks is for little ones and then there’s two for bigger kids and adults. Both tracks were fun, one has more of a figure 8 and the other has hills and more turns. I do recommend Goofy Golf and if you want to play in the arcade, I guess make sure the majority of the games are on. There are packages to purchase, entry to everything plus a $10 arcade card or each individual activity.

Not a bad places had fun with the wife and the employees were nice. The Golf course is a bit outdated missing some green and dirty. The bushes need trimmed hard to walk between courses. The little things matter but over all nice place.
Matthew R — Google review
We did both courses and it was great! We were glad we thought ahead and grabbed 2 balls, just in case the 18th course took the ball. Plus in certain areas the wire fencing is down and you can lose your ball. But over all it was a blast!!
Jessica D — Google review
Lot of fun. The putt put courses were well done and entertaining. Go kart tracks were fun glad we hit those after doing the mini golf.
Nathan B — Google review
This place was pretty neat, all the mini golfing was great, the go carts were a different story. A lot of the workers , not all, acted like they didn’t want to help. When go carting my little sister was on one and her buckle came up done and she crashed and when flying forward, she now has a huge rash all over the side of her neck, and when she went forward she hit her head right off the wheel. The place itself was cool , the workers were the problem. When buckling they didn’t help us , or her at all.

I recently to my 8 year old grand daughter to Goofy Golf. She wanted to ride on the go carts. She was a little nervous to ride by herself. I can't thank Dunkin enough for his patient and encouragement working with her to get her to ride. What a special person and would high recommend the park.

Goofy Golf was great for the go karts and mini golf. The Jr. Go Karts were great. The kids loved them, and the staff let them ride for almost 15 minutes. The mini golf course was a lot of fun too. Don't waste your money on the arcade. Most of the games are broken or don't work well. Overall, it was a lot of fun.

An amazing getaway. It’s great for kids and adults, I wish they had more to do but for the price it’s enjoyable for everyone, we had an issue one time with an adult running into our child on the skating rink and was extremely rude but other than that it’s a fun experience lots of games, they offer food like pizza and drinks, the 3d golf is awesome, the dark ride is fun. And we have been several times and will be back!

Had a great experience here! Needed something to do for a few hours before our resort check-in and this fit the need perfectly! We interacted with the manager a lot. She was extremely nice and helpful along with all the other staff! We did the fun pass and added on the play area! The pricing is wonderful too! Will definitely visit again if back in the area!

They have a lot to offer here, a little of everything for indoor entertainment. There was an arcade, roller skating, mini golf, and so much more. It was clean and not too crowded. It would be great for a fun date or for a birthday party. Mini golf got a little backed up but we still enjoyed it, they give you 3-D glasses which is a whole new challenging experience for mini golf. Worth the stop for some fun.

We come here every time we come to Sandusky to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. It's only a few minutes down the road and you can easily kill a couple of hours here. The kids will love it. They have skating/rollerblading, a haunted house, play area, bounce area, arcade, mini golf, etc.

The place is very nice and clean, and extremely friendly staff. While we were not there for long, we enjoyed our experience very much. We did the 7D Dark Ride and the Haunted House. The 7D Dark Ride was fun and I enjoyed the shooting aspect (it reminded me of Fortnite). The Haunted House scared me so damn bad. I genuinely was tweaking out the entire time, especially the end with the claustrophobic bit. Definitely scary even for a 20 year old like myself. All in all, good experience. 10/10 would piss myself again.

Brandy did a great job! We do quite a few escape rooms and had a great time with this one! It has multiple rooms which we like and puzzles that felt unique. The VR experience was good but short. I 100% recommend the mini-golf! 3D glasses and black lights make it a truly unique experience!

Loved this place . Must visit if you are looking for a fun activity with friends and family! The haunted house and the dark ride were the best activities we did .
Pranjali S — Google review
It has a range of different activities including skating (they offer supports and even scooters for beginners), minigolf, arcade games, VR games 4D X experience, a haunted house and even a bounce house for younger audiences. It is suitable for all age groups and reservations for parties are also available. In my opinion, the best activities were 3D minigolf and the haunted house. The house is different from other haunted houses as they also have live actors to increase the scare factor, while still keeping it fun for younger audiences (above 10 years).

This place is a throwback to a simpler time. It is great! The service is attentive, the portions are large and their prices are fair. What a gem. There was more food than I could finish, and I'm a bigger guy. The roast beef was delicious as was the soup and salad. I have gone back and ordered the cabbage rolls. They were delicious!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! You must try this out when you’re in town! This place is run so well and the service is out of this world. We weren’t expecting to be treated like family, but my goodness, it was like we were adopted as we stepped in. The food - omg! So darn good! We couldn’t stay away after the first experience so we have had many different offerings at all hours of the day! It’s truly to die for! Order came out quickly and perfectly. I’m picky and they complied with every request. Just WOW! The service - it didn’t matter who served us, each one of the 4 servers we had was just phenomenal!! They are so diligent and such amazingly hard workers! I believe they all checked in on every table several times in their section to ensure everything turned out well! It also is not common to see the owner of the restaurant there and greeting all tables, and his kindness is out of this world. If you go here, I guarantee you will return! Please bring this to Cincinnati! And include at least a few of the servers!

This place is spectacular! Such a cute welcoming atmosphere, the people are incredibly friendly and the food is simply outstanding! I can’t believe how reasonably priced everything is as well. Our waiter, Hugo, was very considerate of us the whole visit and was willing to describe lots of information to us about the food here. He also checked on us many times with enthusiasm. My goodness. I have had a lot of good Mexican food but the meal I had there today was the best ever. I got the Ohio Special, which is a nice sampler. The sauces were to die for; I wanted to lick the plate clean (I used the nachos as best I could). The meal was extremely filling and could easily be 2 meals for most people. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. Do yourself a favor when you are in Sandusky, check this place out!!

This place offers standard Mexican food with lightning-quick and friendly service. My wife got the wet burrito and I ordered the chimichanga. While they were not the best Mexican dishes we ever had, they both were a good portion for the price.

Came in and were greeted by friendly staff, our server handled everything quickly for us. Salsa was good and fresh, chips were good, cheese sauce had a good consistency and had a decent flavor. Tamale was good, chimichanga was good, poblano was good and seemed freshly made not store bought. The burrito was not something I enjoyed, it had what seemed like marinara sauce on it and I just couldn’t get past that. Over all not the best Ive tried but not horrible. The pineapple dish was similar, good but not something that really made us say wow. The atmosphere of the place was nice, bathrooms could have used some cleaning.

I have eaten here five times over the years while on vacation to Cedar Point. First time was in ~2013, second time in 2016, then 2021, 2024, 2025. The food is excellent and the servers are good enough, some better than others. Ahead of each trip, as much as we look forward to the rides, my husband and I both keep saying "I can't wait to go back to that Mexican restaurant!" Prices are reasonable, too. Highly recommend. Photo added in 2025 is of #72 i think. Steak, carnitas, sausage, chicken, shrimp. Comes with rice and beans, tortillas, lettuce, salsa, sour cream in a very hot cast iron bowl. It was delicious even if salty. Had at least 5 shrimp, medium size. Could easily feed 2 people but we're pigs lol.

Steak house
Texas Roadhouse is a vibrant steakhouse that offers American cuisine with a Southwestern twist, all within a Texas-themed atmosphere. The food is enjoyable and the service is satisfactory, with prompt seating and efficient serving. Although there was some miscommunication regarding the desired steak selection due to the host not informing the server, overall, the food was prepared as requested and tasted delicious.
Jeremy the server was wonderful! I asked for the steak medium, and it was perfect. My wife loves their chicken tenders. The ranch dressing is awesome, and the salad bowls are chilled. Plus, the salads are well made for side salads. We got the combo app to try. Potato skins and rattlesnake bites were excellent, and the fried pickles were okay. Prices are really good for the quality.

We had a great time! Our server Tre was very attentive and funny. He made our first experience a pleasant one.

Our server, Abby was awesome, very attentive & personable. 8oz tick cut NY Strip steak was delicious & grilled to perfection. Country fried chicken Dinner was huge & delicious as well. Thanks Abby!

We got there just in time before the rush (around 1:30pm on a Saturday) so we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. We ordered a lot! Cactus bloom, Caesar salad, grilled shrimp, steak and baked potato. But it was worth it, everything was delicious and our server, Carlene (spelling?) Was very attentative and and nice. The serving manager even came around to check on us.

Typical Texas Roadhouse. Staff is excellent, food is great. Rolls and maple butter are standard. Had the potato skins, very good. Steak and potatoes were cooked well. Portobello mushroom chicken was best I've ever had, same with mashed potatoes. Didn't care for seasoned rice though.

Very nice experience, you get to see the workers doing their little dance. Portions are pretty big which is good compared to the prices. Workers are very nice, shoutout to that man from Columbia, very nice talking with him 🙂

The service was excellent. The food was all excellent as well, even my three year old Grand daughter ate her food. It was my son's birthday and he is 31 and didn't want to draw attention to himself by the girls singing to him but our Awesome waitress still brought him a dessert to celebrate his birthday. I think that went above and beyond.
Rebecca B — Google review
This honestly pains me to have to write this review because we have gone to this location for many years to celebrate birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc, but Last night (My Birthday) will be the last time that my family comes to this location, just because over the last few visits it seems like there have been noticeable differences in service, but last night just did it for me usually we are greeted by the person that is seating us asking if we are there for any special occasions celebrating anything nothing this time very rude, did not bring us silverware or the small plates that are given at first when bread is brought to the table upon being seated, My husband literally had to get up and get our own from a table across the aisle, A while later after a way our waitress Jasmine came and said oh I would have got those, well honestly they should have been there the bread was sitting there getting cold, again nobody asked how are you guys doing this evening are you guys celebrating anything special, I did mention it was my birthday oh okay do you have a coupon???! Wow. Nonetheless we started ordering, she took our order for appetizers, okay I'll come back and get your order for food everybody had decided what they wanted when she came back she took our orders comes back 10 minutes later and says oh I forgot we're out of burgers and I'm not sure why I keep forgetting to tell people this we've been out for hours..... So my son and my husband have to decide on what else they want, The appetizers came out the rattlesnake bites that usually come out with ranch came out with a different type of sauce for the cactus blossom, I asked why they didn't come out with the ranch I have ordered these all the time and I didn't like the cactus blossom sauce with the spicy rattlesnake bites it would make a nasty taste, she said it comes with both okay well there was no ranch at all she assumed that we wanted The cactus blossom sauce with both appetizers we ordered....... Okay whatever..... I'll go get you some more bread...... She comes back two times no bread I have to ask about that because the kids are asking..... Drinks run dry....... More waiting...... Ordered a medium Andy's steak and a medium-well Dallas fillet 8 oz they both come out closer rare at this point I'm just ready to leave don't say anything $100 worth of food..... And a crappy birthday dinner is what I left with here, usually on birthdays they make an announcement about celebrating a birthday not this time.... Not with this staff or this waitress last night July 7th...... Never again just a waste of money it seems like and that's sad to say like I said this was a hot spot for my family we spent a lot of money here over the years at this point I'm just going to go to longhorn.....

Quaker Steak & Lube is a popular automotive-themed chain restaurant located near the Cedar Point causeway. This casual eatery offers a variety of dishes including chicken wings, spicy sauces, bar food, burgers, pasta, and seasonal specials. With its fun atmosphere and proximity to the park, it has been a go-to spot for hot wings and enjoyable times with friends and family since 1974.
First time going here was great! I had a large group with me and we were seated fairly quickly. Only thing is the food took awhile but not the appetizers. Everything tasted delicious and the waitress was quick and did her job excellently. The atmosphere is great and all of the food was exquisite! I would definitely go again!

The hospitality and service we got from the manager (terry) was exceptional. Well decorated with racing and motorcycle pictures. A great place to watch sports.

The food was not good!!!! My sons burger looked like a leather shoe sole. My (supposed to be) loaded sweet potatoes, came out looking like the end of the bag fell on the floor they swept it up and put it in on my plate. (Also NOTHING was on them... how is that loaded?) The service was slow ... (more so the kitchen not the wait staff) The only saving grace is... the waitress was kind. The hostess folks were also kind. I wouldn't recommend going back.

I really miss Quaker Steak being in western Pa! We visited while we stayed at the castaway bay hotel that's attached to this location.... Our waitress was super awesome and very sweet and accommodating for our young children. The wings were cooked perfectly and i didn't even have to request well done! Kids meals were good! The ate everything so that's always a bonus!

Definitely a fun environment and a ton of food choices to choose from. Prices are a bit steeper than I would’ve liked but it was my first time visiting one of these so I went with it. Ordered the chicken nachos. Wasn’t impressed with them. Definitely needed more cheese and more heat. Also ordered a burger, it was decent and cooked well, but there was definitely no wow factor for it being a $15 burger. The JD tea was excellent! One appetizer, one meal, one adult beverage, one soda, and tip $52 I’m not saying I won’t ever go back. I will probably try again and have their wings since everyone says they are great. As far as it being overall worth the high price tag…I’m just not seeing it. Hostess was lovely and waitress was fantastic. This location is on the water so I’m sure during better weather it would be great to eat outdoors.

We went on a Sunday early at the start. Just a short wait to be seated and it was not busy. Our server was also the bartender. She did a great job the entire time. Food was good, decorations are what you should expect. There are gluten free options for those of you like me

Cool atmosphere and great food. The fact that I could sub a beyond burger made me really happy. The bang bang shrimp was good and so were the onion rings. Kids meals were affordable at $4.49 each. Server was nice. I wouldn’t recommend the blueberry lemonade. It didn’t really taste like it had alcohol in it. My “side” salad was huge. We would definitely come back again if we were in the area.

Ordered jumbo wings and received regular size wings.! Fries cold to the touch and they really left out a whole salad in our to go order.! “Best wings” were normal just over sauced wings with blue cheese in a container.!!! I know they have in house made blue cheese because my husband got some with his salad.! Over all I wish I could give them zero stars. What a waste of money and time.!

We've been here for 2 volleyball tournaments. It's one of my favorite locations. Good food, drinks, choices!!! Pleasant and friendly staff, they allow you to bring in your own food. I still spent lots of money. Merch great quality. Always look forward to coming here

There was nothing short of an amazing experience! It was a beautiful place to play ball, the scenery the playground all the different fields for different sports and ages, they had a golf course in there and of course stores for merch! The food was delicious a little pricey but worth it! This was one of my favorites if not my favorite place to play tournament ball in. They are all super nice and helpful. It was a great time! I def recommend !

What a great facility for sports. We really had a great experience with our back team. This place has 10 basketball courts. They have plenty of seating for your friends and family.

Currently playing a week-long baseball tournament at this complex. Ripken bought out the complex but its not run like ripken yet. Tourney shirts sold out on day 1 in first hours sub par officials. Those are the constitution pros are the teams are all good. The facility is clean and nice. The ballfields while being multipurpose hopefully change over to full baseball in the future. Tons to do in area people all seem nice. Food and drinks overpriced. However I did see alot of people walking around with personal stuff so I dont think they make you leave you stuff in the car. Close to theme parks. Close to water parks. Close to tons of restaurants. Raising canes was good. Overall I would recommend the complex and the sandusky area for families looking to play a different style tourney. Happy baseball

This place is amazing. Went there for a gymnastics meeting and its absolutely amazing inside. They have basketball hoops, indoor and outdoor soccer etc. It has a food court, vending machines, and other accommodations. It even has a virtual gaming room that is cool as ever like you would see on tv where gamers compete.

Great facility!! All turf and the soccer fields are painted lines but there is adequate space to bring your own chairs. 12$ to access for the day or 24$ for a weekend tournament so it's the same few anyway.
Chase K — Google review
If I could give a 0 I would.... This place has gone from good to one of the worst complexes . Food is bad or always out, game schedule is horrible and the entrance fee is outrageous especially when they want to charge anyone over 7 years old. Why does an 8 yr old have to pay adult price to sit down and do nothing? They're not watching these games. Other complexes start charging 12 and older. They never have the food I try to order. Why start games at 8am during the fall? There's only 4 or 5 teams per age group. No need for 8am games especially when their paramedics arrive at 9am. Nasty injury several weeks ago around 820am and no paramedic on site. Unacceptable. Do better, guys...

Lovely store, but such a sensory overload The music is blaring, the lights are blinding, and stepping into there for longer than 30 seconds immediately gives you a headache from the ungodly amount of fumes. The employees are very kind and helpful, im sure this isn't really something they can control, I had a very pleasant experience with them over Black Friday.

I miss the old workers that use to be here. They would greet us and talk to us and help us with anything especially since we use to be there lime once a week. It was such a welcoming place. But today, 2 workers just stood in the way talking to each other and ignored us. When I was looking for something right next to them (clearly in need of help), instead of asking if I needed help they looked at me and walked away to continue their conversation It's really gone downhill since they lost all their older good workers, these young kids just don't care.

The drinks they sold there made it seem like they cared more about making it smell good than taste good. When I drank it, it left a weird taste in my mouth and left it feeling bubbly. The only positive thing I have to say about this drink place is that it left my breath smelling delightful.

Female associate with mid shoulder length platinum blonde hair was RUSHING forward with her cart, right at my friend with her cart. She clearly saw her and almost jammed right into our cart!! Afterwards, the associate made a face at us, as if WE were in HER way. She looked to be at least 30, and there's no reason for a grown woman to act that way. I've seen her before so I know she's worked there for awhile, no reason to stay in the customer service retail space if you're not a decent human.

In general the store was nice, organized and gave plenty of room in the aisles. The staff at the registers ran efficiently and were friendly. I was, however, extremely disappointed in the availability of plus size clothing. I would have liked to shop for plus size and have some options other than a few pieces here and there. I'm plus size and don't want to feel worse leaving a store than when I went in. I wouldn't return to the store to even attempt to browse at the clothing because I know that the availability is so limited. I went through a time when I could easily buy an entire wardrobe but life happens. I wish I could have had a more positive experience in the store.

Mexican restaurant
Chipotle Mexican Grill is a fast-food chain that offers Mexican cuisine, including design-your-own burritos, tacos, and bowls. The staff is friendly and doesn't seem rude like you would usually experience at a regular chain fast food place. The line moves quickly and the food is good. I would recommend this restaurant to others, but do not recommend ordering online and picking up in person - the quality of the food may not be as great.
I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent visit to Chipotle Mexican Grill. The experience was frustrating from start to finish. We were treated with complete disrespect by the host, Helen, who was rude, unprofessional, and acted like serving us was an inconvenience. When we tried to buy white rice, she refused to sell it to us without giving any reason — something I’ve never experienced at any Chipotle. On top of that, the portion sizes were ridiculously small. The scoop of food we received looked like a child’s portion, thrown together carelessly. It felt like we were being shortchanged on purpose. The food quality wasn’t any better — cold chicken, hard rice, and missing toppings, all served in a dirty environment. The tables and drink station were messy and clearly not being maintained. Our order number was #542, and this visit left a terrible impression. For the money we spent, we expected better treatment and food that at least met basic standards. Chipotle needs to seriously reevaluate how this location is run, especially the behavior of their staff. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to avoid this location until changes are made.
MOHAMED A — Google review
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Chipotle — or any restaurant, for that matter. The service was beyond unacceptable. The host, Helen, was incredibly rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful. She made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in, as if our presence was a problem. The most shocking part? We asked for white rice — something basic — and she flat-out refused to sell it to us. No explanation, no apology, nothing. Just a cold “no” and a nasty attitude to go with it. I’ve never in my life had an employee deny a paying customer something on the menu for no reason. And it only got worse from there. The portions were a complete joke — a tiny scoop of food that looked like leftovers scraped from the bottom of the pan. Nothing was fresh, the chicken was cold and dry, and the rice they did give us was hard and barely edible. Half the ingredients were missing or unavailable. The restaurant itself was filthy — dirty tables, overflowing trash, and a disgusting drink station. It felt like nobody working there cared at all. Our order number was #542, and honestly, it was a complete waste of time and money. I’ve never felt so disrespected as a customer. Chipotle should be ashamed to have this kind of service happening under their name. If management doesn’t step in and fix this location — especially the behavior of employees like Helen — they’ll lose a lot more customers.
Hafso X — Google review
I was about to fill my cup with ice when a woman employee in the front of the store told me “he just filled it up with ice and none is coming out” So I asked the cashier if I could have some ice from the ice machine in clear view that obviously provided the ice to be dumped into the front soda machine. He went in the back and didn’t open or look at the ice machine but went out of view and came back and said it’s broken today. Which is obviously a lie. I hate getting lied to because I take it as an insult to my intelligence. I will never go here again. Also they suck at rolling burritos
Larry C — Google review
My family loves Chipotle and this was the worst Chipotle we've ever been to. Understaffed/too slow, longest we've ever waited at a Chipotle. The first two people who helped us were at least nice, but I asked the cashier to add the chimmichurri sauce and she acted like I'd asked her to cook 10 meals from scratch herself in the next 30 seconds. The attitude was appalling, and I don't think I was demanding or rude when I asked. This Chipotle is an embarrassment to Chipotles.
Annie B — Google review
A fly landed on our food, and the lady just watched it crawl. It flew from that bowl to the next, then to the ingredients for other customers; she did and said nothing. The state of the drink station- trash mixed with other items-is an Alarming health standard violation. I've previously worked in food service, and this location needs to be shut down immediately.
Jokerswildman — Google review
Family of 5 went in to eat dinner after a day of swimming, the workers were all so rude & kept complaining that they didn’t want to be there… we got our food & sat down & the station where you get your drinks, silverware etc. was filthy! & just out of nowhere they changed walk ins to online orders only! So people kept coming in to get food & they kept saying online orders only, & were being so rude about it to customers! The man that was in charge needs to find a new job! Will not be back to this location!

I personally do not have a gluten allergy but my friend has a severe allergy to gluten. The employees were extremely rude in regards to the allergy and didn’t even follow the procedure correctly, didn’t swap out any of the spoons. The employee told my friend that she “would be okay” because there was cheese on the spoon for the guacamole. Who does that???? Usually they’re pretty good about following the process but the employees we dealt with were extremely unpleasant. Food also usually kinda sucks from here
Ivy — Google review
I’d give this place zero stars if I could. Probably the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been. The food often has some kind of issue or they are out of an item. Understandable…. The part that I don’t have any tolerance for is the terrible attitude of the staff. If I was the owner of this franchise location I’d be ashamed. Today is the last time my family will be spending money at this location. To any local who reads this, spend the extra 15 minutes and drive to the Norwalk location. Sandusky should take notes.

Located in a small town, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is an American restaurant that serves comfort food. The on-site general store offers alcohol and cigars, making it a popular stop for gamers heading to nearby tournaments. Treva was very prompt and attentive to the table, constantly keeping drinks refreshed and asking if anything else was needed. The atmosphere was great with friendly staff, making it a perfect place to grab breakfast before starting the day.

This location is GREAT! When you walk in, the retail area is so inviting. There was no wait to be seated. When I sat down the wait staff was already coming to the table. The food came out hot and exactly how I wanted it. The wait staff was always checking on me to make sure I didn't need anything. When I was done eating, I went out to do a little shopping. The retail staff was nice, and knew what they were doing. The restrooms were clean and smelled good.

I wouldn’t give the food a single star if I had a choice. We live 2 1/2 hours away from Sandusky, came to have a small vacation. Decided on Cracker Barrel for dinner. My chicken was okay for the most part, or so I thought. Now my stomach just flat out hurts. My grandfather ordered the meat loaf. He was almost done with his meatloaf when he looked down and noticed the last 1/3 of the meat was UNCOOKED. Literally raw meat. Not even the slightest of brown color. Won’t be surprised if he ends up getting sick from it. Gave me hard as a brick corn muffins, then told me they were “out” of them. Out of them or just didn’t want to make anymore ?? The waitress was so quiet we all had a very hard time hearing her. She took forever to get our drinks and take our order let alone bring us the food or refills. Another woman who I’m assuming is a manager was the one to bring us our food and refills. We never spoke to the original waitress after that. The manager told us it was because she was so behind on tables. She was only serving us and 1 other table. It’s Tuesday, 5/27/25 and we was there at about 8:00 pm. It wasn’t busy. HORRIBLE. and I loved Cracker Barrel prior to this. I live 30 miles southeast of Columbus and we chose this place out of all places near by so we could eat somewhere we were familiar with. I’ll never eat at this location again, Cracker Barrel as a business in general will probably not be receiving anymore of my money, which is upsetting to me because I loved their food and the small store to look around in, I buy from it every time we eat at the location closest to where we live.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store offers a wonderfully laid-back dining experience that feels like a warm, welcoming retreat. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal without any rush. Our waiter was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure we had everything we needed. The food lived up to the classic Cracker Barrel reputation: hearty, flavorful, and cooked just right. It’s clear they put care into each dish. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy comforting, delicious food served with genuine Southern hospitality

This is the worst Cracker Barrel I ever been to. This is vary poorly managed. Our waitress was covering 90% of the tables with no help. After the hour wait we finally got or food which was molded fruit and poorly cooked. Then if you buy anything from their gift shop double check your bag before you leave because they will scan it drop it on the floor and not but it in your bag. I definitely will never go here again and would rather starve. To our waitress I know you were trying your best and this is not towards you. Do better Cracker Barrel

Food was ok! They messed my order up. We had to wait for the biscuits & corn bread.it took forever yo get our good. They need to bring out biscuits & corn bread before we get our meal, Also the salads & coleslaw, before our meal comes, like they used to. Not sure why they changed it??

This has become our favorite pizza place! We love the salad bar during the week, and you can't beat their pizza and wings. Super friendly staff and the food is always amazing!

Decided to give this place a try after recommendations from a staff member at the hotel we stayed at. Never again. Terrible experience from teenage staff who treated us like we were bothering them to some of the food quality. For the price paid we expected better. Pickle spear came in a plastic package, opened it from the back side of package. Thank goodness I did. Expired 9/28. When brought to staff attention again we were treated as if we were bothering them, she rolled her eyes and said they all have expired dates so we don't have any. Ordered a BLT asked if they had mayo, we were told yes. Food came out bread barely toasted and miracle whip packets in basket. Again asked staff for mayonnaise because we got wrong item. We don't have mayo. Ordered potato skins which were not bad but charged for sour cream which typically would be part of the price at any restaurant. $36 for a small pizza, blt/fries and 5 potato skins we expected better. Staff needs some retraining on customer service.

We eat here regularly, but usually get delivery. I ordered pick up and it was not a great experience. $85 worth of food. I had to wait for my order to be completed after the time I was told, which is fine. Left with all of the order except my calzone. All of the food I took with me was cold except the wings (which I assume I was waiting on. Fine), and went back to get the calzone. The calzone had clearly been made awhile ago, because it was ice cold when I got it home and smothered in ricotta. First bad experience there, honestly. I was going to go back a third time, but it seemed that everyone was a teen employee and it didn’t seem worth the third trip there. Now I will always order delivery. Never had any issues with that. I left them $100 for the bill and tip and it wasn’t worth it.

The food was very mid I got a bacon cheeseburger it was fine, didn't really have a flavor it also didn't come with a side of fries you had to order them separate. My friend got the buffalo chicken wrap & the chicken was frozen & chewy. When I unwrapped my cutlery there was a midge fly. I wouldn't go here again just because there's so many better places

The food was amazing! Inside and out was immaculate! Price was reasonable!

Our family went here after our day to Cedar Point - it’s only 11 miles from the park. (we live almost 2hrs south) The hamburgers, Mac & cheese bites, etc hit the spot! Turns out this place also delivers! We will keep that in mind when stay for an extended weekend. My husband and son love burgers and they were very happy with the food. Homemade onion rings were noted too. Next time we will try the shakes!

Great little diner to grab a quick bite, I would recommend this place of Business. Food was plentiful, and very good.

Being from buffalo, its hard finding halfway decent pizza and wings. Though the pizza was thin, and the pepperoni are under the cheese. It was good sauce. Decent crust as well. Price is right for the area its in.
