Cedar Point is a vast amusement park featuring an array of water slides, thrilling rides, roller coasters, and entertainment options. The Cedar Point Museum provides an intriguing look into the history of this renowned park, showcasing its evolution from a lakeside resort to a globally recognized entertainment destination. Visitors can explore original roller coaster models and learn about the park's legacy.
Cedar Point is absolutely amazing! The rides are packed with fun and thrills from start to finish it truly lives up to its reputation as the roller coaster capital. We went during Halloweekends, and that took the experience to a whole new level. The park was covered in spooky Halloween décor, with themed attractions and special activities that made the atmosphere even more exciting. Between the coasters, the seasonal events, and everything else the park has to offer, one day just isn’t enough you’ll definitely want more time to experience it all!
Nijanand S — Google review
Absolutely amazing amusement park! The roller coasters here are top notch and from online info they are consistently ranked top in the country! There are also other fun rides like a 300 foot tall swing ride, a gondola down the middle of the park, and a good amount of little kids rides. There is also an indoor arcade area. Any roller coaster enthusiast will love this park, but families will have fun too! The food is also pretty good, with good portions, and the meal plan is definitely worth it!
Matthew Z — Google review
I came this year for hallo weekends. The best day of all was actually Halloween. The crowds were low and we were able to get on all the rides very quickly. A few rides like the millennium we are able to get right back on as soon as we got off. The amount of effort put into decorating the park is amazing. It really does give you a spooky fall natural vibe. The haunted houses are a lot of fun too. The best places to eat in my opinion are the pavilion and the barbecue place. The mixed drinks are way too sugary and not enough alcohol though. I recommend finding a bar that serves liquor and doing a shot. We got tequila shots at the one place in the pioneer village area and they were basically like doubles. If your time is limited it's a busy day you may want to invest in a fast pass. On a busy day you can wait up to 2 hours for some of these roller coasters. I also visited in the summer. The water park there is pretty nice. They have some water slides a lazy river and a nice beach. Cedar point is definitely the premier roller coaster destination in North America. I love the top thrill 2, The Magnum, the millennium, and really most of the other roller coasters there. If you're staying over I recommend sawmill Creek It is a resort like atmosphere there and they have two pools and hot tubs. I haven't stayed at hotel breakers but I have stayed at castaway Bay and I don't like those rooms there. They remind me of prison cells. Overall I definitely recommend visiting cedar point if you never have. It is in a great location near the Lake Erie Islands and a lot of other fun things that you can do.

Brought my kids to this amusement park for our first visit here and it really did not disappoint. We purchased tickets in advance, which can save some money especially if you go through a third-party seller so be sure to check around for deals. You will have to purchase parking, I purchased preferred which does get you a bit closer to the entrance and comes in handy after a tiring day. I added meal and drink packages to our tickets which also came in handy as you could get drinks every 15 minutes and get meals every 90 minutes. If you are visiting during peak season, I would recommend a fast pass upgrade too as it can cut down your wait times significantly although they do sell single ride fast passes in the app, which I would recommend downloading and using during your visit as well. If you are a roller coaster or thrill ride enthusiast this is the park for you. They have over 20 thrill rides and coasters combined. They also do have rides for children or those seeking less of a thrill. There are also other things the park has like arcades, access to the beach, and even more. There were some rides that were down at times during our visit but they came back on soon enough and we were able to ride. The newer and most popular rides did have wait times that were longer than an hour but there were others that you could ride then get back on immediately after the ride. I did not find any wait too long and during your wait they have shade, fans, mist machines, or a combination of those in line. Overall, our visit was great. We were able to ride many of the top rides during our visit and it was not too crowded so wait times seemed minimal. Great park, with great rides and looking forward to returning for another visit in the future.
Jackie D — Google review
Absolutely one of the best amusement parks in the world without a question. I try to make it here at least once a year and especially during the Halloween season because I love seeing everything all decked out. Waits for rides can get long, so I definitely recommend fast pass, or packing your patience and something to do in line. If the weather is bad there isn't a ton inside to do which is a bummer.
Eliott S — Google review
I drove 2.5 hours from Michigan to check out Cedar Point’s Halloweekends, and while the event itself was fun, there were definitely some frustrating parts. Parking was chaotic and poorly managed, and the wait times for rides and haunted houses were painfully long. Fast Lane passes were available, but at over $400 for two people, it felt way too expensive just to skip the lines. That said, the rides were awesome once we finally got on — especially at night with the Halloween atmosphere — and the food was actually really good. The park was decked out in spooky decor, with fog, lights, and scare actors creating a great vibe. Overall, it was a fun experience, but between the long drive, rough parking, and high costs, it wasn’t quite as smooth or worth it as I hoped.
Kailon L — Google review
The best! Cedar Point is a premier destination for coaster enthusiasts and the general public. With multiple different places to stay on site of close to the park, it also makes it convenient to stay multiple days. There are rides for everyone there, ranging from kid friendly rides to purely extreme rides. They call Cedar Point "America's Coaster Coast" for a reason. They have roller coasters all over the park. You could spend your whole stay just doing roller coasters. The wait times are usually pretty long for most rides, so be prepared. But, I will say that almost every wait is worth it. I waited 60 minutes for Top Thrill 2 and Siren's Curse, 75 for Maverick. Every wait was 100% worth it. I also really appreciated how kind and friendly the staff was, you dont find that at every amusement park. If you are anywhere close to Cedar Point and have some free time, come and check out Cedar Point. You'll be satisfied.

We went for Halloweekends on Nov. 1st. It was my kids (ages 8 and 9) first experience with Halloweekends, and I myself haven't been to Halloweekends since I was a kid. We stayed until 12am when they close. I will start with the NEGATIVE first: took 3 stars bc it wasn't scary like at all. There were a lot of parts of the park that had no creepy music playing so it didn't feel very Halloweeny and there's weren't any scary dressed up people walking around unless you were in the Frontier Town part of the park and even then there was like only 5 ppl walking around. Anything scary you just weren't allowed to enter unless you paid A LOT of money for in advance. Family with multiple kids just can't afford that. So the kids and I were pretty disappointed they couldn't go into ANY attraction, no corn maze, no haunted houses eventhough we are Gold Pass holders. They're going to lose money this coming year if they go that again I think. The Positive: We still had a great time as the kids are still young. The bands were absolutely AMAZING!! Honestly that was what really made the visit so magical. The decorations were so great too! Wait time wasn't horrible and weather was nice. PLEASE make it scarier and ACCESSIBLE next year. Know your audience. This is Ohio and we don't have money to pay extra when we already spend hundredsss on membership passes. It's messed up.

Water park
Cedar Point Shores is a family-friendly water park located near Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Spanning 18 acres, the park offers a variety of attractions including numerous slides, kid-friendly areas, and two lazy rivers. Visitors can also find shops, restaurants, and relaxation spots within the park. Additionally, there is a charming waterfront area nearby where people can enjoy activities such as volleyball and jet skiing.
TLDR: A great water park! Get a cabana if you can! I’ve got very few pics because I didn’t bring my phone in the water with me, but if you can do it, I’d recommend getting a cabana. We just got a standard one (the least expensive option) and it was great- being able to not have to worry about putting your stuff in a locker and getting it stolen (this has happened to my boyfriend on a previous trip- he put his phone in a locker, went to the regular park, and when he came back to retrieve his items, the staff said the lockers had closed and that he needed to pick up his stuff an hour before. They had taken his items to another area, and he was able to retrieve his clothes and wallet and a bag, but his phone was gone. He used the “find my” app to see that an employee had taken it from the locker and turned it off after 3 hrs, so it was untraceable. Cedar point shores would not take responsibility for the incident, and from then on, he vowed to never leave his stuff in a locker that he paid for, so I also wouldn’t recommend it. Anyway, rant over, get a cabana. 🤣 We went looking for the one assigned to us and we’re on the wrong side of the wave pool, and were immediately greeted by workers who needed to vet us- we were annoyed by this but honestly, I was happy when I thought about it, because they’re keeping an eye on other customer’s items in the cabanas, which made me feel better about leaving my stuff behind. The cabana is nice sized, and there are workers that are available to take drink or food orders if you wish to pay for them. The lazy river was closed when we visited, as is almost always the way with me- the lazy river is my favorite, so therefore always closed 😭, but we enjoyed the wave pool, the water slides, the overall atmosphere as roller coasters zoomed by, and I enjoyed the summer shandy and ice cream! Yes this review is late, but I have visited several times in the last few years so my review is pretty much the same for each year.

Had an absolute blast and saved a ton of $$$ by booking our tickets and stay at castaway bay resort and it was amazing. The room had a separate room for the girls with 2 bunk beds and a mini fridge with a microwave and it had a water 🌊 park inside the resort ☺️

The weekend was truly exceptional and enjoyable. The children had an outstanding experience and were reluctant to depart. Except for my youngest, the older kids were somewhat disappointed with the splash tower due to the closure of all slides during our three-day visit. Nonetheless, they had a good time in the lazy river, wave pool, and Great Lakes cove.

Had a memorable day with fam at the waterpark. The que for rides was way too long. Took us literally 40 mins in line. Lazy river and the wave pool are worth it. Great splash pads for kids. Need to maintain cleanliness in the shower and changing rooms.

So I will start by saying we went on a very HOT Monday. Arrived an hour after opening and had to wait in line to get in. No shaded places to sit. Fortunately we were able to get a cabana (Even though the sign said Sold Out). Cabana area was definitely worth the money to have some space away from the crowds and a lock box. Only one waiter for the entire Cabana area. Took a few hours to get waited on and get our food / drinks. I felt bad for our waiter because there was only so much he could do. Food was a plus - large portions for a group to share. Nachos and chicken wings were very good. Tried to go to adult swim up bar. Couldn't get in because we did not have ID on us (everyone in group over 50). Not enough bathrooms throughout the park. I waited at least 10 minutes every time I had to go. Areas in park where there was standing water smelled like urine. Waaaaay too many people. Overall not an enjoyable experience.
Amy B — Google review
This is a great water park with one of the best beaches on lake Erie. Unfortunately when it's crowded the lines for the slides are extremely long and it takes a while to actually enjoy them. Tha layout is kinda confusing too, if I didn't have a map I probably would have ended up on the wrong side just trying to find a exit. And the restroom wait was kinda excessive as well. Also this park is huge plan on walking long distances if you try to combine the beach and cedar point in a single day. And lastly when we arrived to go to the waterpark the parking lot attendant told us to park by the buses because we were in a large van and he told us to go through Cedar Point to get to the Shores and in doing so we accidentally used or waterpark passes at the Cedar Point gta and we're initially denied when we arrived at the Shores gate. But after explaining the situation to management we were granted access into the park.
Edward E — Google review
Absolutely insane situation where the park has been closed for over 2 hours for “bad weather” and this is the weather in the picture below. Over 350$ in tickets, food and parking and 2,5 hours of driving to stay sitting down and melt under the sun. Totally absurdly situation just to save on costs and forcing people to go eat. Ridiculous. First and last time coming here!
Frank N — Google review
The park was very nice. There were a lot of people there. We waited in line about an hour to get it. They need a couple more lines so you can enter the park faster. The park was very fun for our entire family, we came to celebrate my wife's grandsons birthday with a party of 12.. It was very relaxing. They do not offer a veterans discount at the Shores but they do at Cedar Point. Maybe place a few more areas with shade to sit. The only other thing was they closed at 7pm but started shutting the rides down at 5pm. All in all it was a very pleasant time!!!

Shoreline Park, llc is a recreational area located along Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. It offers various amenities such as a playground, picnic tables, fishing opportunities, and concessions. The park features picturesque views of the lake and sandy shores, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls along the shoreline. Additionally, visitors can enjoy biking on designated trails and capture beautiful photos in the shaded areas of the park.
This looks to be a newly renovated area, and the upgrades look pretty good. It was raining when ee checked this spot out so we didn't really stay to appreciate much aside from the view of the southern shores of Lake Erie (we live an hour North of Long Point on the Northern shore) and just relax moment before heading on to the road home.. Recommended spot to visit if you're in the area, the views of Six Flags across the bay is extremely picture worthy so definitely bring your camera here.

We wanted to take our elderly dog to the dog beach... This place was awesome, but the walk to the dog beach from the parking lot was quite the long haul. Otherwise, the place is great for swimming, hiking, biking, it hanging out.

Very beautiful place! I absolutely LOVED it. Only one exception though. They do not clean up the vast amount of feces on the grounds due to Geese, ducks and/or dogs. Was extremely hard to walk without stepping in it. It was even on the sidewalks and walkways as well. Terrible mess on an otherwise beautiful place to visit.

We love their flair on food. Service was friendly and quick. I apologize for the pictures on our appetizers ,We got the Vietnamesse crunchy roll and the crispy spring roll that were delicious. I thought the Vietnamesse roll was a better value.

Fun brew house/ Asian fusion spot in downtown Sandusky (yes you heard that right) really surprised to find a place of this caliber here I can't wait to tell you about it. Plenty of parking across the street (parking garage and street parking). Place is large with a big main bar and a downstairs eating area with an even bigger bar. Grab a seat in the waiting area and peruse the fun beer glasses/merch/to-go beers while you wait for your table (I grabbed a DRINK BEER GET PHO glass). Beer menu is surprisingly large, the IPAs and lagers were a favorite among our group, but for me the CLAGCITY was by far the best if you like a nice floral IPA. Menu has a good amount of items, unfortunately they were out of beef while we were there, but we came on a Tuesday so I understand (really wanted to try the pho). Ended up with the lettuce wraps and spring rolls to start, both were well proportioned and great. For mains there was a mix of spicy noodle bowls, pad Thai, and rice bowls, all of which were enjoyed. Overall a great meal, tasty beers, and a nice modern atmosphere, which I love to see in downtown Sandusky. Will definitely be back!

This place was recommended that we go and try when we traveled to Cedar point for the weekend. Nice area very close to the water nice atmosphere. The restaurant is really big and bustling TVs for all the sporting events.. the food was ok from my perspective. My children did really enjoy their sushi. If you are not picky about your Asian cuisine, then I would definitely say try this place. Obviously as it is a taphouse, they have lots of drinks and beers to choose from. we made a reservation because we had such a large party, but I was surprised at how big this place was and they had plenty of room.

This place was a great find! Easily the best sushi we’ve had outside of the west coast. The fish was fresh and the Vietnamese dishes were on point - again, the best we’ve had outside of Seattle. Don’t miss the wonton soup, I Pho with It roll (if you like spicy), and of course, pair it with the drink of your choice! We can’t wait to go back and try some of the noodle dishes and of course, more sushi.

VITA hot plate dinners is such a fun experience. The meat was delicious and it was so fun to cook it on our own. The building is beautiful and our server was so friendly. We were the only people in there at 6pm on a Thursday. Now I will say the sides were disappointing. There are no options and you get whatever they choose and for us it was fried potatoes and asparagus which unfortunately came out cold. We warmed them up on the hot plate with our meat. The dinner rolls were not home made and the same ones you buy in a freezer aisle. The only complaint on that is for the price I expected more home made flair. I also understand the side options because in this economy it's hard to offer a lot and then not sell it. I just wish there was even 1 other option to sub something out with. Service was quick and like I said our waitress was so kind and gave us some history on the building and the shop.

Coffee has a great taste. I usually go with the Boomtown mocha drink which is delicious. Decided to stop in for a coffee today and the atmosphere sucked! The workers today was not pleasant nor welcoming. I asked what the caramel apple was and the barista told me, “caramel and apple” no more description than that?!! This was the first time I’ve been in there and can say the service was terrible. Not sure if they had a long day, bad day or what. But that’s no excuse! Just because your day is bad, don’t make others day bad!! Another customer was behind me and was greeted with a smile and given descriptions of different coffees for the ones he asked about. Hmmm…maybe I was just not of her preference.

Sushi restaurant
Restaurant
The overall experience at Tomo, a sushi restaurant, was superb. The waitress provided prompt and courteous service, while the chef added an enjoyable and entertaining element to the dining experience. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, although the soup did not meet expectations. The soda was satisfactory, but what stood out was the lobster which arrived pre-cleaned without its shell yet still managed to have a decent taste.
We walked in unsure what to expect from a hibachi spot inside a resort hotel, but we left extremely satisfied—this was the best hibachi we’ve had in a long time, and we’d happily do it again. The service was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and well-paced. I loved that the meal was spread out in a way that felt like multiple courses: rice first, then the meat, then the vegetables. Everything was timed perfectly so you could enjoy each part without feeling rushed. The food was high-quality and delicious. Every bite tasted fresh and well-prepared. The only miss for me was the sushi—it wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. Excellent hibachi, great pacing, and top-notch service. Skip the sushi, but otherwise, it’s a must-visit.

The service here was just so bad it made for an extremely disappointing dining experience. Immediately upon being sat the server pushed for our food and drink orders. I barely had a chance to even read the menu. I have 22 month old twin boys and wanted them to share a meal and server told me there would be a $15 charge to share a plate! They are damn babies, what a money grab! After taking our order the server never came back over. Hibachi chef was okay, he wasn’t the most engaging chef, but we still had fun. The second he finished serving us and before I even took one bite of food our waitress came over with boxes and checks. Never asked how our meal was or if we needed refills (which we did!). She never cleared any of our dirty soup dishes from the table and again while I was still eating with my party told me they needed the table for the next reservation. They literally started to bus our plates while we were eating still! We were not even in there an hour. The whole meal was rushed and the server terrible.

I wouldn't eat here again. Tomo is the Hibachi restaurant located in Hotel Breakers, and I had a very disappointing experience. First off, the prices are absolutely ridiculous, being way over what they should. Secondly, the food is mediocre at best. I've had way better sushi and hibachi at pretty much every other hibachi restaurant I've been to. Finally, the service feels insanely rushed, and the restaurant feels super packed in. The waiter didn't give any time to decide about drinks, and as soon as the hibachi chef left, he rushed the check out, seeming annoyed. Also, there are not that many tables, and only one non-hibachi table that is super tiny, and the whole place feels cramped. The only good part was that the hostess and the chef I had were both great and didn't seem annoyed. I do not recommend this place.

Our cook was great. Had to ask the waiter three times for s water. Prices look correct at face value...I literally said, " I wonder how they are going to portion the food" based on the price and it being cedar point...sure enough! No salad, no noodles. That was very disappointing. Food tasted good and cook was great but left disappointed. I don't plan on returning. Ill order pizza next time.

We enjoy coming to this restaurant because we love hibachi cooking. The restaurant serves salads, appetizers, hibachi dinner, sushi/hand rolls and sushi and sashimi. The restaurant is always crowded, so I highly recommend that you make a reservation. Since we are typically coming from Cedar Point amusement park, make sure to get your hand stamped so that you can return to the park afterwards.

Had the filet and it was amazing! Whenever we stay at the Breakers eating here has turned into a tradition. Food excellent and chef did a great show!! Reservations a must🥰

Had fun at this hibachi experience. Food was good. Fried rice, chicken, filet, vegetables, soup, and yum yum sauce. Kids loved the shrimp. Sushi was pretty good as well. Not the best hibachi food I've had but good and still had a lot of fun with family while at Cedar Point.

As a vegan family, we were grateful that Tomo offered plant-based options like rolls and hibachi. For anyone planning to dine there, it's advisable to make reservations well in advance—ideally a week ahead—by calling ahead. The restaurant is quite small, with only 6 hibachi tables and one table for sushi rolls.

Seafood restaurant
Steak house
Nestled at the Cedar Point Marina, Bay Harbor is an upscale American restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience with stunning views of Lake Erie and the iconic roller coasters nearby. This casually elegant venue specializes in fresh seafood, delectable pasta dishes, and prime rib, making it a perfect spot for any special occasion. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating on the patio during warmer months while savoring their meals year-round.
Everything was great. Our server Lori was phenomenal, kind and professional. We came in at 920pm and this was the last place open in the area. Our only minor complaint was the Caeser salad had a cheese crisp thing that was super tough to eat and the chicken was forgotten on my wife's Caesar salad. Outside of that the food was excellent. I had the chicken Michelle which I had never heard of before but it tasted excellent. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve had a tradition of taking my son here for King Crab Legs for the past few years. Every other trip has been amazing, which made our visit this year so much more disappointing. We had a reservation, and after arriving the server took about 15 minutes to make it to our table. There were 4 other seated tables in the dining room, and I saw two servers working that night. During the dinner our drinks were never refilled, and the portion size has been drastically reduced from previous years. In the interest of full disclosure last year’s photo has a pound and a half, whereas we went with one pound this year. Even with the difference in order size this year’s serving was well below half of what we got last year. 4 full large legs vs. one and a half. I’m happy to pay market price ($125 for one pound this year) if I get what I’m paying for. To be honest it looks like they grabbed one of their half pound additions and gave me that since it was end of day. Very disappointing to see the change after so many years, we will definitely be hesitant to return.

We come here every summer while visiting Cedar Point. Food is consistently good as well as service. The restaurant is at the docks so it has a really great view of the lake and boats. Very clean. Would eat the crab cakes and bread daily if I could! Usually one of us gets the grouper because its amazing!

What a lovely jewel tucked back on the Cedar Point island. The food is excellent and well prepared. We went with another couple and all of us thought it was delicious with such a nice atmosphere. The risotto and scallops were my personal favorite. The only complaint I heard was that the blue cod could have had less chili sauce on it so that you could taste the actual fish a bit more. The price point is high but worth it. Not many fine dining restaurants in the local area so it really shines. The staff was kind, attentive and professional. Very well done!

For roller coaster lovers this is the spot. Located inside the park gates along the marina providing nice views and sounds of thrill seekers. Latisha was our waitress and she was nice. Escargot, grouper topped with crab meat and lake perch all delicious.

The food was definitely not great. They had huge potential, but they struggled. The lobster tasted “muddy” according to my husband and my risotto had no seasoning and way too much cheese. The scallops on it were cooked really well though, so I have to give them that! Also, the waitress was really sweet, so that was a high point of the meal.

My family and I have been visiting here on our annual trek from Chicago every year since 2017. It's a lovely location, though service has been variable over the years and I suspect newcomers just don't get enough training. Thankfully, we got Carmen on this year's visit. She's clearly experienced and found exactly the right balance of service for us and the food and cocktails were flawless. It was disappointing to see that the Breakers shuttle bus no longer stops there, now entailing a bit of a walk, but that's not the fault of Bay Harbor...

The grouper Oscar is great. DO NOT order the seafood risotto if you are expecting lobster in it as stated on the menu. It may have lobster broth is that but we found 2 tiny pieces about the size of a chive in the entire dish. Mentioned it to my server, she apologized but said that's how it's made. Food has good flavor but very pricey for what you get, so not a great value. Better choices out there at 40-50 per plate. Very dated inside
