It is absolutely worth the money! There is so much to do there. All the employees are super nice and the food was great. We will definitely be back.

We came here on Friday, October 18th, with a 10-year-old, a two-year-old, two 30-year-olds and us old folks in our 60s. There were plenty of gates open so we walked right in. We had pre-purchased our tickets And I think that helped to expedite our entry a good bit as there was a line just for online ticket purchasers. We also pre-purchased 6 bags of animal feed and that was given to us after we walked through the gate by a sheriff's deputy. This place was perfect for our group. There were so many swings, slides, rides, balls, parks, playgrounds, bubble pits , corn maze, and food vendors. You could get a corn dog, a chili dog, lemonade, beer, wine, drinks anything that you need to keep your belly happy while the kids play. Our kids ran around until they were exhausted, and there was still plenty more activitiea that they didn't even do so this will require a second visit. This was by far the best choice for our group to do. The weather was perfect and and we got to take advantage of the fire pits and making snores while listening to live music. Plenty of restroom facilities available; as well as hand wash stations. Dog friendly. The only downside was that I don't feel that there were enough animals to feed and six bags of food; five bags too many. I did return the unused bags to the gatekeeper/deputy and asked him to please hand these out to a child who looks like they would love it but didn't purchase it. They also had mums and pumpkins available for purchase. Plenty of parking , and they had parking attendants to help guide cars.

We visited the farm and had a great time! I purchased the discounted sale tickets before they opened, and I definitely recommend doing the same — at that rate, it’s totally worth it. Otherwise, I do feel the regular price is a bit on the overpriced side. My family had a blast — my 4-year-old, 11-year-old, and even our 7-month-old baby enjoyed it! We especially loved the pig race and the frozen cider (so good!). Overall, a fun family experience, but I’d suggest catching it on sale to get the best value.
Adaliz C — Google review
An absolutely wonderful place to take your family! There was so much to do and the staff was very nice. So many fun activities for people of all ages to do. Well worth the ticket price as you can spend an entire day there and keep your family entertained. We enjoyed everything from the little rides, corn maze, obstacle activities, games, pig race, food stand, funnel cakes, pumpkin patch and gift shop! :) ** My only suggestions is maybe have staff walk the grounds and make sure no one is wreaking havoc on the self monitored activities. There was a group of 3-4 boys approx ages 8-13 ish on the tricycles yelling, cussing, slamming into eachother as they sped around the track and throwing the trikes against eachother and against the wood fence. Yes.. like hurling them. We waited for over 15 min for them to leave but they didnt. It was sad because no one felt safe letting their own younger well behaved children ride on them while those kids were in there and kept turning away to head elsewhere. I was surprised when the boys guardian ( if you can call her that ) showed up, sat on the bench and watched them continue their reckless and rude behavior with no care in the world. So please... have a couple of staff checking on these areas throught the day.** I know we all sign the waiver but people should also be able to enjoy the experience without the appalling behavior. Also, a dedicated bathrooms area would be nice. Im not sure about others, but when you have little ones the porta-pottys can be a bit difficult. All that said, it was a great day and so much to do! We look forward to visiting again next fall. Thank you Denver Downs.

We've have been here every fall for the last five years. It's worth the 2 hour drive! Every year they add more and more attractions. Fun for ALL ages. My 3 and 12 year old both love it. You can pick your own flowers and take them home in vases. It's beautiful out there. THE CORN MAZE IS SKY HIGH!

This was our second visit to Denver Downs, and once again, we were not disappointed. There’s so much to do for the whole family, no matter the age. The staff were friendly and helpful, the prices reasonable, and the food delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back next year!

Went yesterday for the first time, and we will be returning again! All the activities (and I don’t even think we got to all of them) were amazing and fun for the kids. Highly recommend to go!

My family and I had such a great time at the Harvest Festival at Denver Downs today! It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Ron the owner of the farm out mingling. There were so many fun free activities and great live music. The funnel cakes were absolutely the best! Food and drink prices were reasonable, and the overall entry price was a great deal. We’ll definitely be back

Bowling alley
Boulevard Lanes in Anderson, SC offers a low-impact indoor sport with food and drinks, making it a top choice for family fun. The bowling alley provides a comfortable environment for players to enjoy the game without straining their bodies. It's an ideal spot to gather with family and friends or participate in tournaments with the chance to win prizes. The facility has a classic charm, offering decent prices and a friendly atmosphere.
Nice local bowling alley with very reasonable pricing. Lanes are well kept and no food allowed around the lane area so you don't have to worry about getting your shoes too sticky from spilt beer or soda. Would go back again!
David P — Google review
After putting on my own personal bowling shoes and before getting to roll my first ball, I stepped in water and that prevented me from being able to use them and bowl in form bc it was my sliding shoe that got wet. I couldn’t find a way to dry it, so I tried to get a rental pair of shoes but I was unable to get adjusted to the rental shoe having a heel and my personal shoes didn’t. So I was unable to bowl bc as a bowler with a sliding approach, walking up to the line to roll the ball, nothing worked. Oh and after I showed the guy behind the counter where I stepped in water, can you believe the water was still there when we got finished bowling? No attempt to even prevent this from happening to someone else and possibly preventing someone from falling where the water was or falling on the lanes, as I almost did. The keypad to enter names on one side of the input stand was completely worn off and many of the letters didn’t work, so no one’s name was able to be put in correctly at all, not one person! We had to look at the buttons on the left lane side to see what each button was supposed to be on the right lane side, only to find out that most of the buttons didn’t work. The floor had a whole chunk of tiles missing and cracks, that appeared to be a safety hazard for everyone. This was right there at the seats for the lane entrance. Pics attached I must add that when I went up to get a rental pair of shoes, I told the young man that I stepped in water right there at the counter, he apologized. When I returned the shoes after one frame of trying to bowl, I told him that I was unable to bowl with those bc of the heel being present, he apologized again. He offered me a powder ball to see if it would help, but it didn’t. I was disappointed that I wasn’t offered to not have to pay for the 1 game of bowling that I continued to bowl, so as to not disappoint my niece by not participating at all.
Tiffany — Google review
Great spot for some family fun. It’s what to expect from a nice local bowling alley. Decent prices and atmosphere. The place is dated like most bowling and skating places are, but it isn’t too bad. The shoes seem to be fairly new and in good shape. There are plenty of balls to choose from - most of them are in kinda rough shape but that isn’t a huge deal for novices like us. The staff is great - very patient, friendly, and attentive. Good times.
Mark A — Google review
Second time I've been bowling here. The workers were disrespectful, as when we asked for something they'd be short tempered. It was dirty, and made us wait 15 minutes for cold corndogs that may have been cooked in the microwave. Then when we returned them they gave it back to us chared. Bathroom wasn't much to speak of either locks torn off, and it was overall just disgusting, but you know this place is terrible when the bathroom is cleaner than the actual bowling alley. I've been on school field trips funner than this.
Marcos — Google review
The lane they gave us wouldn’t pickup the left gutter and after telling the guy up front they said it’s a dead zone you’re supposed to stay on the lane he was very rude and the lane wouldn’t pick up half of our turns and eventually the right lane went out too they were no help it ruined my groups whole night
Alex B — Google review
Came here all the way from Pickens bc it was my younger brothers birthday and he wanted to go bowling and eat at Texas roadhouse (which is like right beside this alley). Instead of driving to Easley to bowl like we normally do, we decided to go ahead and drive to Anderson and bowl here. When we went in there was no problem getting a lane at 3 pm on a sunday. However our lane was not functioning properly. I told two different employees working the counter that it just wouldn't record our rolls. There were plenty of lanes open but they would not move us. They said they would get someone to fix the camera really quick and we wouldn't have an issue. But after 30 minutes no one fixed the issue or offered us another lane. Its not like they were slammed up front either. I literally saw the one guy I asked the second time buying a drink directly behind us, then walk right back to the counter and stand there. All I can say that was really good about the experience were the two employees working in the food court area. They were very nice and on top of their orders. The curly fries were very good and thats what filled up our 30 minutes of time lol. But yeah now we have to go find somewhere else to kill time until were ready to eat 40 minutes away from home.
Anonymous O — Google review
NOT beginner friendly! went for my birthday and we decided to leave early. food was great and the employees at the food area were amazing. we asked for our bumpers to be put up for our group of 5 teenagers who have HARDLY EVER bowled. we were denied and told “we usually only put bumpers up for little kids” by a larger man, even though another group near us, and without kids, had their bumpers up. this bowling alley is one of the few places in anderson that is fun and cheap to do, we expected to just have a good time and all we got was a handful of judgement sent our way.
Nadia — Google review
This place is an absolute joke and this shaggy looking dude at the counter was useless. Both gutters were dead zones, pins weren't being dropped down or they were dropped in the middle of a turn. It also wouldn't count pins, I understand why its so cheap. What an absolute joke of a bowling alley

Skateland USA (North Anderson)

Roller skating rink
Skateland USA (North Anderson) is a roller skating rink in Anderson, SC that offers a fun experience for visitors. The venue is clean and enjoyable, especially on Sunday skating sessions. It's a great place for kids and even hosts parties with helpful staff ensuring everything needed is provided. While the facility could use some updates like the bathrooms, recent improvements include new flooring and air conditioning. Additionally, there have been successful adult nights hosted at this classic spot.
Old school nights are fun. Wish there was an occasional adult night. Need to update the bathrooms. Update July 2023: floors have been redone and new ac put in. Update Jan 2024: There have been 2 adult nights hosted. Both were a great time. Update Jan 2025: Bout the same. The floor has been slick lately due the colder weather.

The prices are extremely affordable compared to Athens. The bathrooms are VERY dirty and there was an open condom behind toilet which was super gross. The staff is really nice and helpful. Been there a few times now! We drive from Athens to Anderson!
Samantha M — Google review
Honestly a real shame. Have went here a few times over the past 4 years and the manager and workers are still the same. Rude, pissy, don't say You're Welcome, cut you off, have no customer service etiquette and just overall bad attitudes. The carpet is incredibly dirty, though the skate floor is typically pretty clean. They also don't serve water there? Yet the drink machines were broken. So if you get thirsty there, good luck. A lot of potential for a place in Anderson that encourages a good, healthy hobby. Too bad it's turned out this way.
Alessa C — Google review
The place will be took by care of better if people didn't bring their kids up there and treated like a daycare and then the kids are nasty go in the bathrooms throw trash everywhere I'm not blaming the kids I'm blaming the parents be a lot better place if the parents would stay there and take care of your kids
Shane W — Google review
Will never take my kids to this place again!!! They employees are so rude and disrespectful teenagers! The employees do not care what happens there . They need to hire better employees
Kayla M — Google review
It is a very disgusting place. I do not recommend the bathrooms are terrible, I found an open used condom in the toilet, not flushed. They were pubes hairs all over the toilet seat. The worst experience I’ve ever had with customer service. I do not recommend the skating ring, especially for your child.
Pruitt C — Google review
We try to go every Sunday. Kitchen needs an upgrade and maybe some new arcade games. Place to take the kids when your wallet is a little low. How this has been helpful to the consumers and the business

Grady's Great Outdoors is a beloved outdoor sports store in Anderson, South Carolina. Since 1961, it has been locally owned and managed, making it a go-to destination for all things outdoors. Visitors have praised the professional and apologetic approach of the store manager, Mr. Waldrop, who went above and beyond to address and correct any issues. Customers also appreciate the helpfulness of staff members like Cody, who provide valuable advice without pressuring sales.
We came in to return a pair of boots that didn’t fit, we were met with young lady that was very helpful and directed us to the shoe dept. We then met Don, he was so helpful and knowledgeable about the different boots and what would work best for the kind of fishing we do. Kudos to Don for exceptional customer service! We will be back and will be asking for him! Grady’s , you have a top notch employee, I hope you reward him accordingly!

I picked up a firearm transfer at Grady’s Great Outdoors on 10/24/2025. I’ve bought guns from Grady’s many times and every-time I’ve been met with great customer service. Every worker at the gun counter that I’ve interacted with has been very knowledgeable and thoughtful throughout the gun purchasing process. Even when I go in to browse and not buy anything they are still kind and attentive, they are always happy to let you handle the firearms and tell you about them. The gentleman who helped me with my most recent transfer was Randy. I’ve talked with multiple times and every time I learn something new. He is always happy to help. Due to my good experiences with this establishment and its great employees I will continue to support them in the future.
James S — Google review
I’ve shopped here many times, the customer service is second to none. Many big box stores have been extremely rude and unhelpful and Grady’s is the complete opposite. It’s the only gun/outdoor shop I’ll spend my money at. I had a FFL transfer and Randy was very helpful and courteous. Grady’s has it all, definitely my number 1 shop and first choice every time.

[Pre-Shipment Review]: Assocate Mike & Manager Mike was so patient, polite, and professional. I was about to chase a Hellion with the 2025 Gear Up kit from a recommended discount online dealer, but realized during the call that I have people like the Mike's and Grady's staff. The other online store I was considering had a phone number but it was just automated messages pointing to their FAQ and to contact them via email. Manager Mike didn't push to keep my order, was understanding of my indecision, and supported what I thought was best for me. Knowing that someone is willing to help has earned my business. I am more than willing to pay the extra few % to support the mom & pop shops with great employees.

I love Grady's. The service is great. Every time we've been in there, we receive assistance. My Walther PD380 is a beautiful piece. I absolutely love the ambidextrous safety and mag release.

So glad to find an awesome outdoors store with everything I would need AND they have a Christian theme all throughout the entire store! I had an excellent visit with Randy, who was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful when I picked up my order. He's so good - give him a raise for being such an awesome employee! I'll be back soon.
Barry B — Google review
Today I went to Grady's to pick up a gun that I had purchased from a friend of mine in another state. I had the pleasure to have Randy, to help me with it today. Even though the computer system was acting up, he was very patient and professional during the whole process! Randy also kept me informed and kept apologizing for the system going down, as I told him it was his fault at all, there was no need to apologize. Finally the system came back up and we was able to finish the transaction. I would like to Thank Randy for his professionalism and knowledge. Plus I'd like to Thank Grady's for having such amazing team members! I definitely will be back!! Thanks Again, Robert

Best place in town. I love the HUGE hat selection. I got a great deal on some items and it just always feels different than those big corporate stores. You walk in the door and are greeted with a hello. Kept getting asked if I “needed help with anything..” It’s no wonder why they are always busy.

Restaurant
Cook Out is a popular fast-food establishment recognized for its drive-thru barbecue, hamburgers, and an extensive selection of over 40 milkshake flavors. The cuisine consistently impresses with deliciously cooked and well-seasoned dishes. One minor drawback could be the overwhelming menu options, which extend beyond just the food to include an array of milkshakes. Consequently, decision-making can become challenging due to the abundance of excellent choices available.
Since I've been living out of state I missed Cookout so much. The chili cheeseburger was awesome. Good prices and ample servings. The cashier was friendly and helpful.
Tonya J — Google review
Cook Out lines are always insanely long but for cheap eats it’s generally manageable. The workers are consistently overwhelmed and messing up orders which sucks for folks behind you because now they have to wait for the workers to get the order right. See picture —> This chicken finger on a wrap is absolutely diabolical. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life opening my food. I feel so bad for the workers because it seems like they work so hard with the volume of customers. Positive note - window worker was super sweet and my shake was delicious! The rest of the food was awful. The person who took my order over the intercom sounded extremely exhausted and fed up with doing her job. It’s hard not to feel bad for these workers.
Jesenia V — Google review
First the girl at the window had an attitude but i’m not even worried about that bc she probably don’t like her job, but Iordered 2 hotdogs and this is what they gave me. like who wants to eat that?
Dtijah A — Google review
Waited for 45 minutes for oil soaked and stale fries with hotdogs that were drenched in salt. We all took a few bites and washed our hands of the meals we purchased. Haven't had the greatest experience the last few times
Cristina A — Google review
Someone recommended this place so I had high expectations. The strawberry milkshake was good but everything else was poor quality. The hot dog was lukewarm, tough, and shriveled up, and the bun was a bit stale. The "chicken" quesadillas were awful. One didn't even have chicken in it! The beef burger had a nice flavor but it was shriveled and tough too. The tables and floor were very dirty, trash cans overflowing. I'll never return.
Crystal M — Google review
Cookout food is great for what you pay, portions are big, the deals are good. That said be prepared to wait at this location. The drivethru in particular takes about 5 minutes per car (yes I’ve sat in this drivethru for 20+ minutes). Again you know what you’re paying for and for that it’s fantastic, but don’t make the mistake of thinking this is “fast” food. Edit: so I wrote my original review sitting in the drive through, just got home with my order and my burger is pink in the middle. Don’t take my word for it there’s many reviews of people getting undercooked patties here. Don’t let this location discourage you from trying another cookout, Clemson location is solid.
COMMANDOcookie0 — Google review
As of the current date the dining room is open. like most places these days they have gone up on their prices but still maintain a pretty dang good deal. This particular visit was a bit of a disappointment in the fact that they put enough seasoning on my fries to do maybe five plates. They were getting busy and I was in a rush to get back to my mother-in-law who we take care of so I just opted did not to complain. The bathroom was clean and so was the restaurant. Cookout is ideally located on Clemson boulevard amongst all the stores and close to a Walmart as well as other eateries and coffees.

I love their food! I’ve never had a problem with my order! And we can eat pretty cheap there compared to most places.

Chinese restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Anderson, Grand China Restaurant is a delightful gem that offers an extensive selection of traditional Chinese dishes, all served in a cozy and beautifully decorated environment. This charming eatery stands out for its generous portion sizes and exceptional flavors, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine. While there’s no buffet option available, the menu more than compensates with its variety and quality.
Absolutely fantastic food and service! Each ingredient tastes so fresh and right.

So, I actually thought this was a buffet, but was pleasantly surprised it is a sit down, menu restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp Lo Mein, extra spicy, and you can see by the picture it was plentiful. The Lo Mein was cooked nicely so that it had a good chew. There was bell peppers, celery, mushroom, onion, and carrot sticks. Thankfully, they didn't add sugar like do many restaurants do. I wanted as close to authentic, but their afraid that if the food flavors were authentic, the American palate wouldn't not accept it. But, it was good. Everything looked clean and well taken care of. Nice decor and comfortable booths. Upscale and authentic music playing softly in the background. I can't just before noon on a Thursday and most orders were to go. There was one other table say when I came in, but nobody here. I imagine they'll come in after noon. Noodles stayed hot the whole time I ate, while the veggies cooled off, so I kept mixing the food around to keep everyone's warm. I would recommend this place. A good Chinese restaurant and reasonable prices (for lunch). Get going!
Zane B — Google review
One of the best hidden jewels in Anderson, great food, wonderful friendly staff. No buffet, but you don't need it, big portions of some of the best Chinese food I've had since moving here. If you want it spicy, tell them. If your like me and like it HOT, tell them #4.

Just an overall unpleasant experience. The servers are plain rude. The food was just absolutely unbearable. I ordered chicken that had breading on it and inside of it.. where exactly is the chicken if the breading is on the inside and outside? I really wish this place would just close down already.

Was not impressed 😕 Had the sweet n sour chicken. Crab ragoons. It all had a weird taste. The sweet n sour sauce was SUPER runny. Was charged 25.00 for what you see in the picture. I do not believe that is 25.00 worthy of food period.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution celebrated for its iconic burgers and fries. During my recent visit, I indulged in their breakfast steak egg and cheese bagel, customized to perfection without onions. To my delight, it arrived promptly and was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever tasted at McDonald's! The food was fresh and served hot, showcasing the chain's commitment to quality. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my experience, ensuring everything went smoothly.
The lady that worked there help me with the app. I had ordered actually from another McDonald's somewhere in greenville. I do not know where that came from on my phone since we were in the parking lot. She helped me to get my order placed and get my food. I didn't get her name but she was blonde headed. She actually was great trying to get the app to cancel my order at the other store and reorder there at their store. She actually let us pull up to the last window and took time to do all this. The biscuits were great and hot. Overall it was a great experience

I went in here the other day because McDonald’s is supposed to be a quick service. Ended up getting a big Mac meal with a pumpkin spice latte I wait about 10 minutes for them to finish my food, only for them to tell me to move up to the third window and waited an additional 15 minutes to be told that they cannot make the pumpkin spice latte. So I ended up getting a sprite. When she came to give me the sprite she no joke took about a minute to send a quick text message on her phone before handing me my drink. So I ended up paying way more than I should’ve just to get a regular drink because they couldn’t tell me at the drive through that they couldn’t make the latte.

One star is too much for this McDonald’s. We waited 45 minutes for our food. There was no one at the counter and there were many customers waiting. Customer service was literally HORRIBLE. The employee who finally came to the counter and asked what I need was rude and kept cussing under her breath. I understand maybe they are short staffed so I was kind, but that didn’t matter to her. It is never necessary to act unprofessionally as she did. I left crying, I have never in my life been treated that rudely for no reason before. I don’t know her name, but she was a black woman with a blonde updo and a terrible attitude. Would literally drive an extra 30 minutes to avoid going there.
Barbara A — Google review
Went twice in one day and both times they forgot to give us napkins. The second one was for breakfast but we were late so we ended up with a burger and fries. The fries were a little cool so had to go back in to ask for fresh fries.
Larry C — Google review
This is now the fifth time this has happened here in recent memory. How hard is it to get someone to just check on what people need up front? I'm tired of going in to McDonald's like these and everyone in the back ignoring people in the front. My order was sitting there for 5 to 10 minutes and got cold as heck just because nobody would come up front and ask me what I was there for. They weren't even busy at all. I used to work for McDonald's so I know. It's just absolutely ridiculous that they pretend to be so busy so they don't have to turn around and ask what a person is waiting for. I'll be so glad when AI replaces all of these people at this point. I don't even think people deserve their jobs a lot of the times. If you're too sorry to just turn around and say hey who you got then you don't need to be working.
Eric J — Google review
Absolute slowest! Slow even when there’s 1 order on the screen. Never has enough staff for morning & lunch rush. Wait 5-10 mins for 1 McMuffin or Biscuit. Not to mention, Staff are rude when you finally ask about your order taking so long! Staff making breakfast sandwiches with their bare hands … Let the big wills be in the store for the day and they are fully staffed, polite and quick service.
Ashley D — Google review
I tried to give them so much grace. I did an online order on the app & I arrived on time. At first, everything seemed fine. However, when I checked my order I noticed that my chicken sandwich said, “spicy chicken sandwich “ & that the fries were just half way full. However, I thought not problem about the fries I won’t bother them, I’ll just ask for the sandwich I ordered. I turned around & I went to the window to let them know that I had ordered a regular but was given a spicy one instead. The lady at the window asked me to pull into their #1 spot & assured me someone would come out there & give me the right order. I waited 30minutes. After I noticed the drive thru people kept getting their things I decided to go in & see what the hold up was. I spoke with another lady at the window. She then asked me if I had pulled the sandwich out to assure myself that it was a spicy one. I told her that that’s not what the First Lady told me to do & that now all of my food was cold. She then rolled her eyes & said, “well what do you want me to do?”. I told her I was not trying to be difficult but that it was not fair that they made me wait 30 minutes just for a sandwich while my food got cold. She then said it would be even longer because I would be at the bottom of the list. I then ask if I can speak to a manager & she goes back to speak to another lady who hands her a sandwich box. She comes back, doesn’t say a word, hands me the box, rolls her eyes, & walks away.

There was 2 line cooks and neither one was wearing gloves fixing people's food, I watched them both bare handed touching meat, cheese, and buns. When I called to speak with manager , I was told by her that she was busy in the back and didn't have time to see what the employees were doing. I end up leaving without my food

The Local Uptown has been a beloved neighborhood spot since 1971, offering a casual and laid-back atmosphere for patrons to enjoy burgers, beers, and mixed drinks. With pool tables and a patio, it's a great place to hang out with friends or even for a casual date night. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe of this pub, pool bar, and restaurant. Customers have praised the tasty burgers and generous portions of fries at reasonable prices.
Right off the main strip with a backyard and probably one of the nicest servers we have had in a while, (Angel). Good beer choice, great burgers and fish & chips. Not fancy but just right!

They have a Tuesday specials burger that really good. Don’t get the tacos. The sweet potatoes fries are GREAT!

One of our favorite bars in Anderson. Great, consistent staff that have been there for years. We've moved away and still make it a stop on our trips back up to see our family. Food is yummy. 2 pool tables if you're up for a game. I love consistency, so as long as they keep that up, I'll keep going.

Overall a 3 star rating from me. Upon walking in, smelled a little strange. Nothing crazy. We ordered some wings and a burger. Took a little bit longer than expected. Wings were amazing! My burger was a little dry. I got the Carolina burger and my chili was essentially just hamburger meat lol. Fries were great tho. We had a mishap with the server because he explained he got flustered and we didn’t get the correct amount of wings but he fixed it for us! Super nice. Would possibly come again.
Alyssa M — Google review
The burger was good. The fries were soggy. The server was ok, but she could have offered to have more fries cooked a little harder when we mentioned it. There were some men and one woman at the bar who were a little rowdy so definitely not a place for young children. Probably won't be back, but the burger was still good.

Historical place
The Anderson Downtown Historic District spans 16 blocks and is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Notable landmarks include the Anderson County Courthouse, P&N Railroad Depot, Anderson County Museum, and the Old Reformer cannon from the Revolutionary War. While not extravagant, it offers charming restaurants and a delightful chocolate shop. During Christmas, a magnificent tree adorns the downtown area. The district is undergoing revitalization with quaint bars and restaurants attracting visitors.
.Very pretty and nice shops. Large number of places to eat. Lots of historical buildings and things to walk around and enjoy.

Downtown is moving along with its revitalization. There are some great shops, restaurants, and antique stores to browse. Much of the original architecture is still intact and it’s slowly but surely being reinvigorated.

Anderson downtown isn't something like oh my gosh extraordinarily fantastical going to drop 20 miles to see it.. but if you're in Anderson downtown is not too bad there's some good restaurants there's a chocolate shop that has delicious chocolates. A Christmas time there's a big tree in the center of downtown which is really cool. The Police department downtown so just make sure that you don't speak going through there it's like 10 miles per hour.
Jennifer J — Google review
We were visiting the area, and decided to check out the downtown. Very cute and quaint, with some cool bars and restaurants. A little ran down in places, but it shows that there are cool people, and businesses restoring it. Definitely worth a visit, we'll be back next time to see how much has changed. "Updated" We loved it so much that we purchased a fixer upper outside of downtown. The downtown is going through a big revitalization process. Lot's of great restaurant choices ranging from Sushi, Mexican, Italian, Irish, Chinese, Steak & Seafood to all kinds of American food. A few micro brew pubs, 2 brewing companies, a few coffee roasters, a distillery, and many other cool bars that have food, live music and djs. Lot's of hiking and mountain biking nearby. Can't wait to explore on the kayaks once it's warmer 🍻
Kevin D — Google review
This is a nice place to shop or dine. There is a lot of traffic and mostly only 2 hour parking on any street. There's some nice art and a farmer's market at times that is nice. This place have been cleaned up a lot but after dark its still a questionable place. Its a great place to play pokemon go as it offers a lot for that game.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place! The service was great, the food tasted excellent, and the drinks were perfect! I would love to see this place outside of the holidays. It looks like a great place to celebrate a birthday, have a date, enjoy the family, or just simply a night out alone. The food is plenteous, and the drinks are not weak. I absolutely love the view! And the area has so much to see. I will be visiting Anderson and Up on the Roof again soon.

I was genuinely impressed with Up on the Roof in Anderson—hands down better than the one in Greenville! The atmosphere is much more relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a laid-back evening out. What really made the difference was the staff: incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely focused on making your experience memorable. Angela, our waitress, was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The food was just as incredible as always—same high quality, bold flavors, and perfect presentation. If you’re looking for a great rooftop experience with top-tier service, Anderson is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience on our dinner date on Saturday evening! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy as well as romantic! We ordered the jerk chicken with coconut rice and pan seared trout for dinner. We also ordered appetizers. The calamari and brussel spouts were delicious! All of the food was flavorful and plentiful! The waiter was attentive and friendly, and our food came out in a timely manner. This time was the total opposite from a previous experience. Thanks to Megan Cromwell for reaching out to us and being very apologetic for our previous experience. And trying to make sure our next time was pleasing. It definitely was, and we will make this one of our cozy little places to share with friends! 😃

Wow the food here is so good. My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We started things off with the pimiento cheese crab dip. It was so creamy, cheesy, crabby goodness. I had a cup of the She Crab soup and it was as good as being in the low country. My BBQ Chicken Stack was absolutely delicious. My wife had the sirloin steak and she loved it. We will be going back.

We wanted to try something different in town and this place did not disappoint! The building and atmosphere is such a vibe(do we even say that anymore? 😂) but it’s a tad wonky in the middle. That’s just a side note for patrons with a bit of balance disturbance. Even with that tiny quirk, it was a wonderful experience and dinner was amazing!! Our server, Crystal was very friendly and attentive and informative about questions we had concerning the menu. She also helped to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our dinner. I ordered the lunch portion of the shrimp and grits and my husband had the grilled chicken sandwich. Both were a hit! I’ve eaten shrimp and grits in a LOT of different places all over the South and I gotta say this one was one of the absolute best ever!! I didn’t try my husband’s because I was so busy savoring all the flavor of my dish. My only regret is not having enough room to try the Tiramisu for dessert!

Stopped here last night for dinner after reading the reviews. Where we ever in for a surprise. The cook took such loving care of our food order, he must have spent ages preparing it. When our food order arrived & was placed in front of us, all we could do was stare at it. It looked scary, fries old, limp & not a sign of crispness anywhere to be found in this sad mess of so called fries. They were over cooked & some of the poorest fries we had ever had the misfortune of seeing. However more wonderful food was on the plate, yep 4 very sad overcooked fish. The batter was burnt but the fish inside was slimey on the inside. If this is what is classed as good food around the area then have at it. I would not recommend this establishment as food is sub par. We also ordered the Fried Calamari, all batter & overcooked Calamari. Most of the batter fell off. Horrible experience all around.

Wow!! What a GEM! Looked for a place outside of Clemson to celebrate my daughter's graduation and I am SO HAPPY I came across Doolittles. They worked with me, with my ever downsizing reservation.🤦‍♀️ Our server Amanda was absolutely awesome! Friendly, courteous and patient with our group of 12. And the food was OUTSTANDING!! Every single person at the table raved about their meal. Not one complaint about food. Very delicious! My only "issue" was with the cocktail I ordered. I asked Amanda to surprise me with mango cocktail, but I neglected to mention I wasn't a fan of coconut. I apologized to Amanda and asked if I could get something else . . . Without hesitation, she said "of course"! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! And the fact that downtown Anderson was beautifully decorated for the holidays, was an extra bonus! 5 stars - would recommend - let's do it again 😎

This was an Anniversary dinner with my Wife of a Saturday night. Great atmosphere. Pretty busy, I definitely recommend reservations on a busy night. Great Atmosphere. I noticed a Birthday party going on & the place was lively. Casual dress, come as you are. Service was 25% tip great. Amanda was our server & did a spectacular job. The food was a different story. I’ve decided not to go into details. I’ll just simply say the food was just ok. That’s fair enough. Would I recommend you try Doolittle’s?…yeah, I would. I think I came on a bad night. Anderson has a variety of dining options, including Maki Sushi Bar & Bistro which offers delicious sushi. The restaurant provides excellent service despite being busy and has a pleasant atmosphere in downtown Anderson. Their seared tuna entree with rice is particularly tasty, while the calamari did not meet expectations. The drinks menu is diverse, offering many choices. The servers are friendly and attentive, contributing to the lively vibe of the place.
We had a great time at our date night at MaKi sushi! I ended up calling in advance about my allergens and the team was really great about making sure that there was no cross-contamination with dairy or peanuts (none present in the facility) during our visit. We’ve been coming to Maki for several years since moving to Belton and in the beginning it was great . Service was good , the staff was very friendly and a few waiters would remember us (Emily,Robin ) and greet us even if we couldn’t get one of their tables . They remembered our drink choices and usually part of our order . Lately it just seems the food is subpar and the wait staff aren’t very friendly at all . Yesterday was the worst for me . I got a spider roll and Charleston roll and tuna tataki for an appetizer. The tuna tasted like it had been sitting in the cooler unwrapped and my rolls were terrible. My husband had 3 rolls and he said they were good and his beef tataki was good as usual . I’m going to attach a picture of my rolls (I ate them thank goodness for eel sauce and wasabi) I don’t eat seaweed so they use another wrap I’m assuming rice paper . My rolls have never come out looking like this before but the service and food quantity have definitely been going down hill over the past year or more . The sushi chef should definitely been ashamed of the quality he let his waiter serve and if I would have been the waiter I would have not served them to my customer. It seems they were not taking pride in the job at all . We will not be returning to Maki . I encourage anyone that reads this review to take the short ride into Greenville for several great sushi restaurants to choose from.

We enjoy sushi and typically go to The Galley for it. Maki was suggested by someone so thought we should give it a go. Made a last minute reservation through open table. Showed up at time and was promptly seated , restaurant was very busy. Had a great table in a loft area looking out on to Main Street. Mia our server came over and introduced herself and took our drink order. I'll say this, Mia did a good job, not sure if she is newer but could uae a little refinement. Our biggest issue was we felt very rushed by her, she obviously had somewhere to be as we were there near closing time. We ordered edamame and lettuce wraps Edamame was awesome, lettuce wraps were disappointing. Lettuce was warm and wilted and we chose shrimp as our protein and it tasted great but for a dish where your "making the wrap" you need to serve with shrimp tails off. Lettuce needs to be crisp, cold and consistent in sizing. Ordered 6 pieces of Nigiri and 3 rolls. Food was good and portions were good size One suggestion to the sushi chef is the rolls need to be tight, they were difficult to eat because they were so loose. Overall not terrible and a cool atmosphere. We will give it another shot soon to see if this was a one off.

The food is very good, but the service is great! We had the Tiger roll (excellent), the surf and turf roll (very good) and the New York strip with red mash and vegetables (I would order it again). We followed it up with marble creme brulle cheesecake. Shay is an absolute delight as a server! If we come through again, I would ask for her. The tables on the sidewalk could affect wheelchair access.

Fine dining restaurant
Sullivan's Metropolitan Grill is a delightful dining destination that beautifully marries Southern charm with upscale cuisine, all set in a historic building that once served as a 19th-century hardware store. Nestled in the heart of downtown Anderson, this family-owned gem has evolved into one of the city's premier fine dining establishments.
What an enjoyable evening celebration for my birthday! As shown, these 5 entrees were reminiscent of our prior experiences in Charleston, S C. , which were all excellent. The pork chops were juicy and tender, and the salmon wellington was a big hit. The evening's special was a mouth-watering chicken scallopine. The portions were also large, and I simply could not finish the moist and delicious carrot cake dessert!

I had Sullivan's catered for my wedding in May and absolutely LOVED IT! The food was a crowd favorite. Food has always been a form of love for my family, and they were very impressed. The catering process was seamless and easy. The variety was amazing, which you cannot find with most catering places. From pork tenderloin to shrimp and grits & crab cakes to the mash potato bar - everything was amazing! They really worked with us on exactly what we wanted. I could not recommend more for any event!

Service was great and I love the building and atmosphere. The big problem was the food, everything lacked flavor and I feel the price doesn’t match what I’m receiving. The calamari was bland, very oily, and over cooked. Both pasta dishes lacked flavor, they tasted liked they were leftover reheated in a microwave. The desserts and drinks were great. I’ve been here several times before and the food was excellent just upset I’m paying so much for something that tasted subpar.

Atmosphere was great! The food was excellent. Our mix drinks were also good we were not disappointed. & Big shout out to our waiter Ms.Angie she was very sweet and nice. Kept checking on us. We told her we were going to share a steak and she had it cut already for the both of us before the food came out. We came during dinner time. Loved the place clean and nice. Bread rolls was amazing too. I got the blackened salmon with rice & stuffed bone in pork chops…. With a side of steak. Didn’t get a pic of the steak ate it😭😭😭. We payed about $190 ! And we didn’t mind for this excellent service !!! it was I saw my birthday She brought a candle to the table and let me blow it out.

Enjoyed our dinner reservation for four on a Saturday night with family. Our server was on top of it and knew the menu like the back of his hand. The ribeye was good (not market price good, but good!). The rest of the table ordered the special which was Trigger Fish, Scallops, Shrimp, & Risotto which they all loved as a light, flavorful meal. It was a little loud in the restaurant, but we still enjoyed the experience. We did try one of the dessert case items and I look forward to trying more next time. Thank you!

We were able to celebrate our anniversary here last night. We always enjoy our time here from the food to the atmosphere. Our server, Andie, was awesome. Friendly, helpful to make suggestions, eager to answer our questions...just all around top-notched. We enjoyed the suggested appetizer special, and while it probably would not have been our first choice, we took Andie's suggestion and tried it. It was great. The combination of flavors made for a very enjoyable bite of food. Our entrees were enjoyable as well. I had the crabcakes and hubby had the NY Strip encrusted in horseradish. We always take home a dessert, but we were so full I could not even imagine ever eating again...

Sullivan’s catered our wedding and everyone still comments about how amazing our food was. We have to agree our wedding was made so special by Sullivan’s catering! Tonight we decided to try dining in to celebrate our niece. We all thought it was absolutely superb! Everything was top notch and full of flavor. I had the stuffed pork chops and it was actually probably the best meal I have ever had! We had the best and most attentive server, Racheal! Racheal made sure that we understood the menu, gave us all the highlights, and truly went above and beyond for us. We will absolutely be back. If you love good food, good service, and good atmosphere definitely eat at Sullivan’s! Don’t forget to ask for Racheal!

My husband and I go to Sullivan's on a regular basis, especially in the summer. We are always welcomed and remembered. The food is fantastic! The lunch is a good value and is extremely reasonably priced. See picture of us from PJ day. Thank you Sullivan's!

Rented the downstairs room for my baby shower. It made a beautiful venue! Service was great. We ordered food. I had the fried chicken salad, and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend this place as a nice small venue if needed, and it's a great place to eat!

Placed a toner this evening and got these wings. I ordered lemon pepper. There is a dash of lemon pepper. Mostly plain! I always have loved the service at the restaurant and the food but have never ordered this way. Very disappointing! I called to speak to a manager to give a heads up and didn’t really sound like he cared. My bad I guess for ordering in instead of going out. Learn from my mistake.

Excellent staff and the food was great. Cool, little establishment. The bang bang chicken nachos and fried green beans were outstanding.

Visited here with friends at their recommendation and as far as pub food goes, I wasn’t impressed. The food was just ok. Located on Main Street in Anderson so there isn’t great parking. The place was packed and the atmosphere was good. Our server was the best though!

Here’s a NED-style review for Raines on Main: --- ✅ What Works Well - Charming small-town spot with a cozy, welcoming vibe. - Known for hearty American classics—burgers, sandwiches, steaks. - Friendly service and a relaxed, casual setting. - Full bar with solid cocktail and beer options. - Good for both lunch and dinner, with live music on some nights. --- 👎 What to Watch Out For - Limited vegetarian or lighter fare options. - Can get crowded during local events—may need reservations. - Service pace can vary when busy. - Smaller space; not ideal for large groups. --- 🎯 Verdict Raines on Main is a reliable, down-to-earth spot for classic comfort food and drinks—great for locals and visitors looking for a laid-back meal. My family and I traveled from Mississippi to visit family in a local hospital. We stayed at a hotel across the street. One night I took my son over and loved everything. Pickle fries, chicken fettuccine, pot roast melt sandwich, bird dog, loaded potato and fries. All was so good I convinced two cousins to come back the next day 12pm on a Saturday. They were a Lil busy. We may of waited about 30 mins and it was worth the wait. I got the pot roast melt again and it did not disappoint 😋 they also have pool tables for 6 an hour and decent music playing. They do charge 3% charge on credit cards which shows up as a facility fee on the receipt but most places charge the customer the fee the card company will charge them.
