Margaritaville Ocho Rios is a vibrant entertainment village in Jamaica that offers something for everyone. During the day, families can enjoy a two-story 100-foot waterslide and pool, while at night, the village transforms into an adult playground. The Havana Day Dreamin bar and lounge exudes an intimate Afro-Cuban ambiance with its mosaic tiles and wrought iron accents, serving a variety of local and international rums.
Went to the ochi location, there wasn't an entry fee, we had a very nice server, and our table was held while we enjoyed the pool and beach. We used the slide, and they had tubing as well as a car speed boat thing. There is alot of other things to do we had ice cream after and the food was really good a had alot of authentic Jamaican menu items

Another great experience at Margaritaville Ocho Rios.. We were there a couple years ago during a family vacation and had a wonderful time. My daughter and I were on a cruise there 2 weeks ago. I met my son there who was vacationing with his dad. The food and drinks were excellent, the atmosphere is always a vibe. I believe his name is Greg, phenomenal guy. One Love ❤️can’t wait to visit again🇯🇲

I stopped by today as a part of my birthday 🎂 celebration and had a great experience. From the server to DJ Flavor it was a great. He even played games with us and offered shots 🍾 keep it up and yall won't regret it if you go😊🫶

Everything about this place is amazing!! You have many options to dine! You can dine on the beach, in the restaurant, or get it to go! Please stay though because the food is so good! I had the jerk pork tacos and Starter shrimp and it was delicious! The drinks were good and they offer kamikaze shots for $3. The DJ plays great music that can be heard inside, outside and on the beach!! Kudos for the kiddos during the day with the pool and slide inside of the restaurant!! Must be 18 and older to enter or accompanied by adult for kiddo swimming.

Heard a lot about this place so we had to go we went in the daytime it was quiet but I’m sure evening would be a party . It’s a lot like a Red Robin

We went for lunch on Saturday. The place is quite busy. Food was good. Main issues were flies
Carla — Google review
During my recent cruise stop in Ocho Rios, I had the chance to visit Margaritaville, and overall, it was a solid experience. Pros: Quick 10 min walk from the port. The drinks are very affordable, especially considering the location. It's nice to have a budget-friendly option when you're docked in a touristy area. You get access to the beach for free as long as you purchase food or drinks, which is a great deal. The beach itself was clean, and the water was beautiful—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun. Cons: The beach area is on the smaller side, so it can get crowded quickly. It didn’t detract from the experience, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re hoping for more space. The bathrooms could definitely use some attention. They weren’t as clean as I would’ve liked, which was a bit of a downside.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Island Village Jamaica is a modern entertainment park in Ocho Rios, designed to resemble a traditional Jamaican coastal village. It features a quiet beach, craft shops, bars, restaurants, a video-casino, art gallery, and an amphitheatre with regular open-air performances. The Reggae Xplosion Museum is also popular among visitors.
Island Village is a quaint Shopping mall. It is unique in that it has are wide variety of places to visit and a wide variety of things to do. There are Jewelry stores, Perfume stores, a convenience store, souveneir stores, a photo studio, cofee shops, restaurants, ice-cream shops (including one that sells Devon House ice-ream and another that sells rolled ice-cream), popcicle stands and much more. There is even a restaurant with a beach and water slides (Margarita Ville). Weekly events such as kareoke nights are also held here (somtimes free of cost). It is a common place for both tourists and locals to come to relax and unwind. It is a good place to go with friends and family and to have events. I want to make special mention of "KK Tavern & Lounge", a restaurant my family and I recently went to, to celebrate my birthday. The outside seating area is situated right by a fish pond and the view was beautiful. The customer service was stellar, the food delicious and very affordable. Their menu consist of mainly Jamaican meals such as chicken & chips, steamed fish, rice and peas and curry goat or stewed pork. I have posted images of this restaurant and the food my family and I ordered. I would 100% recommend.
Elissa P — Google review
Was great to be at but their food is over priced so it's best to just oay the 1500 for beach access for the locals.

A very nice, clean and peaceful place. Has an Scotia ATM, ice cream shop, movie theater, and many other stores. Had the cleanest public restrooms I’ve ever used. A very nice place to chill. Nice ambiance.

Lovely village. Nice walk around, nice views. There is a lovely Starbucks and a few good restaurants. I wish shops had more variety of items. Many tend to sell the same souvenirs. But overall it is a nice place to visit and one could catch a movie or have some lunch!

Wow 😳! Great place. Parking can be a bit tight though. It has the stores for tourists and locals alike: Margaritaville, Starbucks, 🍦🍨 shops, souvenirs shop, and much more. A good place for a nice family outing to relax, eat and have some fun time together. As you pass through the entrance, you sanitize hands and wear mask 😷. I'm fine with that 😜.

Bar
Ocean's 11 in Ocho Rios is a laid-back restaurant and bar near the cruise ship pier, offering elegant dining and drinks right on the beach. The menu features a mix of authentic Jamaican cuisine and seafood dishes, all cooked to order with local herbs and spices. The casual seating area downstairs provides a relaxed atmosphere, while the open deck upstairs offers stunning views of the sea.
We made a few visits to this restaurant during our stay in Ocho Rios. Loved the grilled salmon with rice & peas as well as the escovitch fish with festival & chips. The cocktails were flavoursome & very strong. The place was always lively with musical rhythms & the staff were always polite & helpful. It was nice to eat & look out at the sea & and be able to see the cruise ships come & go. Will definitely return to Ocean's 11.

*Review for Oceans 11 Restaurant – Ocho Rios My boyfriend and I visited Oceans 11 in Ocho Rios for dinner, and it was such an enjoyable experience. This was my first time dining here, and from start to finish, everything was lovely. Our server, Tish, was very pleasant, responsive, and attentive, making sure everything was going well with us throughout the evening. Her warm personality and great service really added to the overall experience. We started with fritters, and they were absolutely delicious — perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. For the main course, I had stew peas with white rice, which was hearty, rich, and so comforting. My boyfriend had garlic shrimp with green plantain, and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual yet special night out. We left satisfied and happy, and I would definitely return to Oceans 11 to enjoy more of their menu. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Highly recommend!

Food was excellent. I went there 10/21 for my birthday and the food never disappoint. Love it. Karaoke was good too.

Had my first time visit here. The food tasted really good which seems to be consistent across dishes based on the other persons present. The wait however was long. Bar service was nice! I also loved the atmosphere! Not much compares to food and drink by the ocean after a long week! My entire experience was supported by the best reggae hits from local veterans! This will certainly become a spot for me in Ochi. I was told Tuesdays are for Karoke so if that’s your vibe, be sure to visit then.

There were HUGE cockroaches running around our tables. So everyone was jumping and uncomfortable. Also, The service was the absolute worst! My caeser salad was way too wet. When I asked for a replacement with dressing on the side the manager told me I shouldn't have eaten any of it after only taking two bites. Then brought the salad out after everyone else got their food. No, I did not eat it. I'll always go back to Jamaica and I'll never come to this place again. Caribbean people always show manners. But not the manager here. Just bitter and ugly..
Brandalynn P — Google review
My food and service were exceptional. The bartender set the whole tone for my visit...dude made a spectacular drink, put the Euros on (that's +50pts right there!) and we had a good chat. The fish and bammy was spectacular. I was there for a biz meeting and we sat by the tables overlooking the water. I highly recommend and I will be back several dozen times.

If you are in the mood for just a nice view to look from then this is the place. Food wise then no save your palate. I ordered a shrimp pasta; let's just say that i was served a plate of oil with ingredients on top. There was no taste. I had to request ketchup to see if it helped and it did no justice. I requested to talk to the chef just to see if he knew what he was serving but was a no show or even courtesy to talk to a customer (guess I am too basic for their attention). Spoke to the manager but that didn't make any difference. Yes I took the pasta from the serving dish in the first pic and put in the extra plate as seen. My daughter had chicken tenders and rice. Let's just say she has yet to touch 90% of her meal. She is a toddler who was fussy asking how long for her meal. #just a honest foodie review.
Emma H — Google review
Terrible experience!! I came to this place after a long trip, my daughter and I were hungry. The place only had a couple of tables with customers. I had to call the waitress to serve us, there weren't several dishes on their menu, she told me that the food would be there in about an hour 😱. So, we wait!! They were dishes with bad seasoning, my daughter did not want to eat the Macaroni and Cheese even though it is her favorite dish, my dish was fried fish with a lot of fat and finally, very expensive!! 💰. I paid almost $40 dollars for both. There is better service and quality of food in Lima and/or Los Angeles. Jamaica is a place where they take advantage of tourists, and overcharge everything!!

Ocho Rios Bay Beach, located at the heart of Ocho Rios, is a popular destination known for its beautiful white sands and family-friendly atmosphere. The beach offers a range of activities such as banana boat rides, parasailing, tubing, and snorkeling equipment rentals. Visitors can also enjoy picnics under the shade of palm trees and dine at nearby restaurants like Reggae Kitchen and Lounge.
I m marine engineer and i have been 98 countries yet. When i visited ocho rios bay beach, they asked me to entrance fee. Its so strange, i am not going to use any beach services just i want to take some pictures and share to my friends . Why should i pay entrance fee?

Walked here from cruise terminal (had to walk past SO many people trying to sell you stuff/taxi/excursions). But once past the large group, you walk a little through town to get to the beach. Probably took us 10-15 min. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas for pretty cheap ($5-10/chair and $5-10/umbrella or something like that plus have to pay $10 entrance fee). Water was warm and beautiful!
Laura R — Google review
Crystal Blue waters with a clean white sandy beach. Went here for a church trip with some friends on a very busy Saturday, as there were numerous trip buses in the parking lot. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but we eventually got our armbands and got ourselves settled. Even though the venue had a lot of people, there was still enough room to spread out and find an open spot in the water for yourself. My group rented a cabana for the day for about JMD$5200 (USD$32) so that we were able to have a comfy spot to rest our heads and bags; the attendant cleaned it up for us before use, but took ages to give us our receipt, so there was a bit of a mix-up at one point, but that was quickly settled. There were loads of activities to do as there were persons advertising various water adventures you could take part in, like taking photos on a glass boat or water tubing for the adrenaline junkies ☺️ If you wish to take part in these activities, ensure you have extra cash on hand, as they don't take cards to my knowledge. Food is easily accessible once you have on your armband, as you can go off property to purchase food such as KFC, Burger King etc or from any of the local cookshops. The changing rooms as expected were a bit mucky as it's where everyone changed, so it had a slight smell of pee and wet sand on the floor. Just try and balance on your shoes to ensure that doesn't catch your good clothes. There are showers available on both the beach and near the changing rooms. I did not check the bathroom facilities as I used the one over at KFC. It's a fun day and a relaxing day to be had by all, especially if you're there with good friends.

Very popular beach for everyone. You have to pay to go on to this beach as well as your chairs. It’s a crime that you should have to pay to go on a beach in Jamaica! We had a lovely afternoon there, but the fact that we had to pay just didn’t sit well with me.

Starbucks is a popular coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering a variety of signature roasts, light bites, and WiFi access. Whether you're in Ocho Rios or New York, you can find your favorite hot and cold brews along with delicious sweet treats at Starbucks. Customers often praise the friendly staff and clean facilities at various locations.
I visited this Starbucks every morning during my stay in Ocho Rios! The staff were always super friendly and I was staying right across the street, so I would show up as soon as they opened and let me tell you, it is so calm to sit here early morning and enjoy the view! They have a small seating area inside and a few chairs and benches outside. I also recommend the Jerk chicken bagel and jerk chicken wrap!!! So good!

Loved everything about it. It was my second time visiting and the cashier was super helpful. He made suggestions for what I could get and I was not disappointed. The staff members were engaging and quite pleasant.

The workers here are very very rude … I ordered a vanilla chai tea latte I received my tea with out vanilla when I asked the worker for a pump of vanilla I was told Chai does not come with vanilla … when I advised that this is what I paid and ordered… instead of remaking my drink as I know Starbucks does he just pumped it into one of the doggie cups and put it down and walked away had to insist that he remake my drink and he had the worst attitude . I will never come back here… the location in Drax hall has excellent customer service this location is disappointing disgusting and disrespectful I give it 10 thumbs down!!!!!

Phenomenal location and ambiance. Very cozy on the beach and its usually empty, great outdoor music playing as well as seating inside and outside. Free wifi is a bonus.. As for the coffee/food.... average and over priced sugary milk..they were out of all syrups and flavors that day...

The locals operating the store are friendly and amazing. Headoffice feels it can rip of traveller's far from home. Their venti chai latte is so watered down it might as wellbe flavored water. The poor staff when confronted say that that is always how they make it. I had been looking forward to a taste of home and we'll not that again.. So I asked for more milk the second time around and they added a bit more made it better which i appreciate, but I wouldn't expect the staff to get in trouble over it.

Cash big up yuself girl… a hope Starbucks give you a raise. because your customer service is top tier. Group of 10, we had several dishes, a few alcoholic drinks. 2 lobsters, 2 esco fish, 2 steamed fish, 2 salmons and 2 pastas. Drinks 0/10. Couldnt get vodka and club soda right… Only meal I might recommend would be the Salmon which was 6/10. No pic of Salmon as he received his meal last 2hrs and 30mins… I have never seen burnt Escovitch fish in Jamaica before but i guess there is a first for everything. (Presentation was 2/10. Only 1 pic of the lobster because everything else was disappointing) Server was understanding when we told him that we didn't like the food. He said we should have told him it was bad at the time but we had already waited 2 hours for the food so we weren’t waiting anymore. Hope they improve. Recommend more servers, chef.

If you're seeking an authentic Indian culinary experience while in Ocho Rios, look no further than Passage to India. Nestled upstairs at Soni Plaza and conveniently located near the Fisherman's Point Resort and Ocho Rios Pier, this charming restaurant invites you to indulge in a diverse array of traditional dishes that capture the essence of North India's vibrant flavors. From succulent chicken tikka to fragrant lamb biryani, each meal is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a delightful dining adventure.
Had an amazing dining experience in Ocho Rios! Not only was the food incredible, but the views were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the coastline. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, and the naan was soft and buttery—just perfect! We also loved the crispy samosas, which were packed with flavor, and the mango lassi was a refreshing finish to our meal. With its cozy ambiance, friendly staff, authentic flavors, and stunning Ocho Rios setting, this place is a must-visit! 🌟 Highly recommend it!

During our visit to the restaurant with our 4- and 5-year-old children, we were met with a server who had a noticeably bad attitude and seemed reluctant to serve us. After ordering appetizers, we waited for 20 minutes only to be informed that some of the items were out of stock. Frustrated by the poor service and lack of communication, we decided to leave without having any food. The absentee owner and management clearly do not prioritize customer service or the restaurant's success.

While visiting Ocho Rios recently, I decided to try Passage to India, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The food was absolutely incredible. I had butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, and biryani, and every single dish was packed with authentic flavors. The naan bread was fresh and soft, perfect for scooping up the rich, flavorful curries. You can really tell the care and quality that goes into the cooking here. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

visited Passage to India while my cruise ship stopped in Ocho Rios, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely incredible. I tried a few dishes, and everything was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The butter chicken was so creamy and delicious, and the naan was fresh and soft—just perfect for scooping up the sauce. The lamb vindaloo had a great balance of spice, and the biryani was packed with flavor and tender meat. The staff were super friendly and made me feel really welcome, which added to the whole experience. If you’re ever in Ocho Rios, especially if you’re on a cruise like I was, I’d definitely recommend stopping here. The food alone is worth it!

I had a vegetarian korma and aloo gobi. I also ordered a raita to complement my spicy meal. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The service staff was courteous and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant to those who enjoy Indian/South Asian cuisine.

Stunning views! You can sit right by the water when you eat. The menu is huge, and everything we ordered was tasty - all came out piping hot as it was just freshly prepared. The food was also served in a timely manner and the portions were huge!! The butter chicken, goan shrimp, cheese and garlic and were my favorites but honestly it’s one of those places you can order anything and you’ll be satisfied! Chefs are clearly talented and there are apparently 2 - one for Indian dishes and another for Jamaican. We only ordered Indian this time and it’s the best Indian food I’ve had in a while - really exceed my expectations in all areas. Shoutout to Michaela who served us and was wonderful as well always checking to see if we’re ok or needed anything. One of the highlights for me in Ocho rios - if you’re in town and hungry, make sure to make a stop here!

we ordered 3 types of Biryanis all the Biryanis are worst no salt no spice only rose water/kewda water taste. veg sheek kebab is not all good not cooked properly. sweet corn soup was not cooked properly. Paneer butter masala was just a tomotobpaste after an hour me and my family got stomach upset. seems like food was not freshly cooked.. 3 people are suffering for eating the food here. hotel management should over see the cooking quality once it's a mistake to eat food here. 70% food was wasted and wasted 103USD for bill payment

It was a lovely experience. The food was awesome. The drinks were top teir. The different flavors hit my taste buds in phases. The nan, was delicious. Not to mention the quietness in the night looking at the boats on the sea, the night view was good. I want to big up the waitress on Thursday night of this week, she was so nice. It was a first time here and the experience was great. I will definitely return. 😍 Thank you for the experience Passage to India.

Delicious restaurant, had the best food and smoothies I had in my time in Jamaica. And they were quick about the food, freshly cooked, and reasonably priced. Must come here!

Amazing food and service! They always have ice cream and smoothies as well as tasty food! They sell tonics, souvenirs and even herbs and spices! A MUST go!

A True I-Tal Gem in Ocho Rios I ate at Calabash Restaurant twice during my stay in Ocho Rios, and I can honestly say it's the *best cook shop in the area*. This place is more than just food—it's a whole vibe. The meals were delicious and nourishing. I tried the tofu, rice and peas, ackee, broad beans, boiled food, a banana porridge that hit just right, and an incredible black bean burger. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with love. You can tell they cook with intention and care about what they’re serving. Beyond the amazing I-tal food, Calabash is a cultural experience. The space is filled with beautiful art, conscious books, natural soaps, and handmade accessories. You feel like you're part of something more when you're there—connected to community, wellness, and creativity. They also make smoothies, which were refreshing and packed with flavor—perfect for the Ocho Rios heat. Whether you're vegan, plant-based, or just looking for clean, soulful food, Calabash is a must-visit. It's a place that feeds your body and your spirit.

If you’re in Ocho Rios, you must try the amazing Ital food here. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, and the prices are very fair considering the quality and quantity you receive. Plus, they offer a gift shop and bookstore filled with intriguing items that are worth checking out.

Went there for lunch, and it was practically empty. Order a few large meals and burgers. The chickpea burger was the best. The curry chunks had too munch of pungent curry for our taste. The string beans and tofu rundown were good. The portion size for the large meal is sumptuous. For vegetarians, this is a good place. The service is quick. They serve no alcohol. The smoothies were good.

Ok let me tell you... who knew Jamaican vegan food is this good?? We wanted to try something different (aka not KFC) so we made the extra walk to this restaurant and ordered sandwiches and ice cream. OMG so good, wow, this food is good! I totally recommend, and I'm not even vegan!

I ordered two different sets of tacos. All of them had undercooked chickpeas, which were hard and crunchy. I originally ordered coconut waters to go with my meal, after ordering it took her almost 2 hrs to deliver to me. In that time period she sold my coconut waters and called back to swap my order to various teas. $40 USD down the drain. I contacted her about this and I've been ignored.

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Mystic Mountain, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to The Turtle River Falls & Gardens (formerly The Enchanted Gardens). All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Theme park
Mystic Mountain, located in the lush rainforest of Ocho Rios, is a nature theme park that offers a variety of family-friendly adventure rides and activities. Spanning over 100 acres, this park takes visitors from the seaside to the summit of the mountain at 700 feet above sea level. The attractions include zip lining, bobsledding, birdwatching, water slides, and a chairlift canopy ride with stunning views of the surrounding jungle.
I would rate Mystic Mountain an 8/10. One downside is the lines, which understandably is long for any amusement park. We came on a sunday around 2-3pm and it was about an 1hr+ wait for one ride. They also don’t have a lot of rides/activities and the ticket price is kind of pricey for the amount of rides they offer. We paid $140 USD and couldn’t really go on the rides multiple times because of the long lines. Aside from that, the rides are fun especially the Bobsled. The Sky Explorer was nice and relaxing (unless you’re afraid of heights 😅). And the scenery is beautiful.

Mixed review. Loved the place, loved the activities. Did not like the sense of urgency. Based on my experience, do not book back to back excursions if going here. Meaning, if you wanted to go to Mystic Mountain and then want to go to another place, you may be at risk. The staff is not on your time!! Based on my experience, I recommend a full day at Mystic Mountain. There is a lot to do there. Pool, rope climb, rock wall, bob sled and zip line. The time given doesn't make sense. We had an 11Am ticket time. We got to the park before 11 am. After the ride up to the mountain, we found out the next available time for the zip line was 1:30 PM. We didn't get on the Zipline until 2:15 PM as the staff was waiting on the gear to get back to the starting point. Totally unorganized. Once on the Zipline however, things were smooth and it was a great time. There are multiple ziplines to take you back down the mountain. If you plan on leaving, the staff will send your bags ahead of you. Once done with the zip line, you can simply leave. I thought that was a cool service. The rope course and bobsled were also great

This place was lovely. The zip line instructors were so funny and supportive. Had a great time, the view is beautiful, but pizza not good. The bobsled was great, I love that you can control the speed.

We had a phenominal time and can't recommend the park highly enough. From booking stage to transfers there and back to our hotel, the whole process was very smooth. Staff were very friendly and safety was definitely a priority. We visited early in the morning, which was great as it was quiet and not too hot. It's on my to-do-list as soon as I can get back to Jamaica. Well done to all, my husband and I had a wonderful time.

Mystic Mountain Guest Experience Review The overall visit to Mystic Mountain yielded a mixed experience. We would like to commend the operational staff assigned to the rides for their outstanding friendliness and accommodation; their professionalism significantly elevated the quality of our time on those attractions. However, the standards of service were inconsistent across the park, particularly within the food court where a lack of attentiveness was observed. Furthermore, the inability of the food and beverage service to manage inventory, resulting in items being completely unavailable during a high-volume holiday weekend, represents a critical logistical oversight that negatively impacted the guest experience. The most pressing issue is a need for greater transparency in operational status. Guests must be notified of significant closures, such as non-operational rides, weather-related shutdowns, and critically, the closure of the Sky Explorer (tram). Since the tram is a primary draw for many visitors, its non-operational status must be communicated clearly prior to ticket purchase, not discovered upon arrival. Given the loss of a major facility and the operational issues encountered, we believe a form of compensation or credit is warranted. In summary, Mystic Mountain possesses considerable potential as a destination when all facilities are functional and weather permits. Addressing the systemic issues related to logistics and customer information transparency is essential to ensure guest expectations are consistently met.

Mystic Mountain was nothing short of Adventure. Two friends and I went on a Tuesday and were able to zip line, go on the raggamuffin, have lunch, and bobsled twice! The gondola up and down truly transports you into a haven of pure FUN! 10/10 day for the girls!

There's places to choose to dine and eat here if you would like, Infinity pool and plenty of activities to do once you get to the top of Mystic...the longest wait is i believe the bobsled ride, arrive early if you would like to enjoy all activities and go more than one round

We had fun here. Really enjoyed the meal and the bobsleigh. The entry fee was far to expensive for what you get. 70 US dollars basic entry fee which includes 4 activities. You don't get to choose the 4 so we only did 2 outa 4 and then paid an extra 20 US dollars for the bobsleigh.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios is a must-visit marine attraction in the Caribbean, offering the unique opportunity to swim with dolphins in their natural habitat. Located near Ocho Rios and Dunns River Falls, this attraction allows visitors to interact with sharks, swim with stingrays, and enjoy activities like glass bottom kayaking and relaxing on the beach.
Dolphin Cove was such a great experience for my little family. We had an exception time sharing an encounter with the dolphins. Trainer Ronaldo and Dolphin Pasteur were absolutely amazing!! I cannot recommend this pair enough. They made my family's day. We also got to swim, get some food and see Stingrays and Nurse Sharks. I wish we could have walked the trail before we had to leave. Would definitely do this experience again.
Alexis B — Google review
The overall experience with the dolphins was great and the trainers were awesome. The setup of the entire premises was great I think It needs a little more polish. You have to park on the roadside but the shoulder on that side of the road was very wide so you are well off the road. The staff were all very nice and friendly. We had a good time at the mini zoo before the dolphin experience. There was a small beach where you could do kayaking, but the beach was very small and wasn't clean and I think given the facilities they had the beach could be made into a better experience. There seemed to be multiple restaurants and bars but they didn't all seem to be open when we were there. The water slide was not working at the time when were there. The pool seemed like it could have been cleaner and it looked like only 1 pump on the pool was working. The children seemed to love the pool though. The rates for the photos was high and I think the all or nothing approach to the photos needs to be looked at. They could possibly come up with a per photo pricing and allow you to choose the best 1 or 2 if you can't afford all the photos for everyone similar to what they do at mystic mountain. The food was a little on the expensive side and the burger and fries was very ordinary for the price. The did have a lunch special though for JMD $1300 which was actually very good and it was a decent portion size.

The dolphin experience was unforgettable...definitely would go back. Love that they had other activities on the property...my only concern was the slippery tiles. The tiles in the restaurant was slippery, the ones leading to the lobby area, to the bathroom. Everyone kept slipping. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT. But overall my family enjoyed the experience.
Sibrina J — Google review
This was my second visit to Dolphin Cove, and I can see they've made a lot of improvements since my first visit many years ago. The place is very scenic, and the dolphin experience is absolutely top tier. It was a bit scary walking on the platform and getting into the water, but overall, it was an incredible interaction. That said, the staff experience left much to be desired. Almost all of the workers were not pleasant. There was an undertone in their attitude and a bit of roughness in how they spoke to guests. One staff member even told the man in front of me that she would laugh if he fell, and she repeatedly told people to turn back if they were afraid instead of reassuring them that they would be okay and that their life jackets would help. The platform in the water was also very slippery, which made it even more nerve-wracking. Despite that, I’m really glad my nieces pushed through their fear and went into the water. The pool area is lovely and provides a nice space for children to relax and play under supervision. They also have a restaurant and an ice cream parlor, though I didn't visit them. In the bird aviary, the men working there seemed uninterested and disengaged. I hate to think their attitude was due to us being locals, as I know many don’t tip, though I did. The lobby area was crowded and poorly managed, and again, the staff at registration were not welcoming. The beach area is very small, but the waterslide was lovely and fun. Despite the poor attitude from many of the staff, I would return for the experience itself and the beautiful surroundings.
Shantel M — Google review
The dolphin interaction was fun and fairly priced compared to other Caribbean locations. However, the extras were excessive $230 for photos for a family of 4 (no phones/cameras allowed), $10 locker fee, $5 Coke ($10 with card), and only one lunch option included wasn’t even good. The water slide was closed, and the jungle trail consisted of just 8 parrots and 1 iguana. The music was also unnecessarily blasting for a kid-friendly park, especially right by the dolphins. To top it off, after paying for the pricey photo package, the photographer still asked for a tip. Disappointing add-ons to an otherwise enjoyable activity.
Carla B — Google review
Very poor experience. Booked via Royalton/Nexus. Advertised to include. Snorkeling with manta rays, jungle tour see the snakes, kayak, glass bottom boat and shark show. None of this was available on the day. Arrived told to wait around for 2 hours. $10 to use a locker. Very clear you must have one as theft if very likely. 30 mins with as a group with dolphins. (That bit is great) But can't help feeling the site is so small for them! Add in the high pressure photo sale at $60each. Zero response from Royalton/Nexus. A mega let down, left feeling abused by the service. Loved my holiday but this really did ruin the day

Horrible experience save your money this is a tourist trap. The staff is rude, misgendered my 5 year old son after being told multiple times he was a boy. I understand patwa so I heard the negative comments about my son and my body. They will try to squeeze every single penny you have out of you. I originally booked for the admissions plus for two adults and one child under 5. That was $137 total plus tax. It said online it included the mini jungle, sting ray , beach , water slide , kayaking, and food We received a purple wristband, we continued on to the gift shop the lady looked at us and her exact words were “ ok so you got that band ? The cheaper one. “ she then tried to sale me three pictures with the dolphin on a platform for $20 dollars each. It’s three of us that’s $60 dollars. I asked can we just take one family photo i didn’t need three pictures of us individually I just wanted one family picture she said no. I told my husband If we’re going to add the $60 dollars for three pictures we might as well just pay for the dolphin encounter. We went back downstairs and upgraded our tickets. My husband has a Jamaican passport, he presented his passport and he did not receive the local rate btw. I was told it would be $18 per person to upgrade the ticket to the dolphin encounter that’s a pink band. I paid $18x3 which I didn’t understand why I had to pay to upgrade my child who is under 5 when 1-5 years old is free with two paying adults Anyways. I was then told it would be $65 per person to add on photos and these photos are only digital no print outs. So we paid $195 for 3 shots per person. When your in the water you do three poses and they snap a shot of all three so your paying $65 for 3 digital shots. Which is ridiculous When you do the dolphin encounter they split you off into groups based off your wristbands. If you purchase the royal swimmer band they treat you like gold. Or if you’re white they treat you even better because they know you are going to tip them. We paid a total of $386 dollars for about 15 mins in the water with the dolphin. It was very rushed you do three poses with the dolphin and they give you education of the dolphin. And at the end of your experience our instructor asked for a tip. Which I was confused because after paying $386 dollars you shouldn’t be pressured to tip. We went to the mini jungle we saw two rabbits , the birds and an iguana. I was told if my son wanted to touch the birds or if we wanted to take a picture of the birds we had to tip. When we went to see the iguana and the bigger birds the instructor was sleep on the bench we woke him up and he told us if my son wanted to hold the iguana or if we wanted a picture with it we had to tip. At this point I was annoyed because everywhere we went we were pressured for tips after already paying a lot. The stingrays were cool but again after seeing the stingrays our instructor asked for a tip. Sharks weren’t available Kayaking wasn’t available The small beach has cabanas that were dirty. We arrived at 9am opening time so the beach should have been cleaned. The beach is also big rocks so you can’t step in. The meal Included was a piece of chicken rice and peas and veggies no drink. When I asked for my included drink the bartender told me I would have to hide it so others don’t ask. Just an overall horrible experience and complete waste of money. Mystic Mountain was wayyyy better you aren’t pressured for tips staff are friendly and will take pictures of you with your phone for free. I tried to take photos of the tip trays The manager was also not available either.

Italian restaurant
Evitas is a charming Italian restaurant located in an authentic 1860s gingerbread house in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The restaurant is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, as well as its fusion of traditional Italian dishes with Jamaican flavors.
The most beautiful views and delicious food. We only stayed in town for two nights and came here both nights! Great prices! Come before sunset. This is a must while in the area. The service is Jamaican but they warm up. We are vegetarian and loved the country man pasta and the lasagna. Yum yum yum. Thank you!

I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. This was my first time here. And honestly, the pictures online are way better than all the place actually looks in person. I love the entrance. It's a nice picture spot. I see that they are going for rustic look, but you can be rustic in a little bit more of a modern way. The furniture needs retouching the boards, need repainting, etc. However, the food was good. The chicken Parmesan was top-tier. And the Alfredo is amazing. The salad with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing is not the best It has a little bit of an acquired taste. The cocktails were OK. They could've been more alcoholic. I could barely taste the alcohol in there. This place has a lot of potential. I hope it does better structure wise.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The view was beautiful and the service was good. I just thought my portion of food was too small. I didn't feel full or like I got my money's worth. The cocktails are delightful though. It's pricey but he food did taste delicious. I loved the cheesecake as well.

It's fallen a little from where it used to be. However, it's still an easy recommendation and really nice. The intentional rustic look is also very unique and almost makes it feel like a heritage site. Food is also still exceptional.

The experience at this location was satisfying for my mind, body, and soul. It was an experience that was tranquil, inviting, and just overall comfortable, especially with the done to order food they have available. The pricing was excellent, coupled with the excellent customer service that involved individual briefing us about the menu overall so I could make the perfect choice for my taste bids. The three course meal was yummy, right down to the last drop, and the warm plate kept my meal at the right temperature, which was so welcoming to my taste bids... I will be resisting cause the experience was unforgettable and special caused my girl enjoyed her birthday...

Food was great and the customer service was great. We opted for the pasta dishes and we were quite pleased. Serving size is perfect (not too little, not too much) and we got our money's worth. My drawback of this restaurant is that the seatings are too close for comfort. It's obvious there is a need for renovations and improvents. If the business does that, please keep the rustic, homey feeling as that's what makes the restaurant stands out. Overall great experience.

Stick with the pastas … those are the best things on the menu and the octopus was really good. Drinks - 9 Pastas -10 Ambiance- 7 need updating (love the rustic feel needs lighting and remodeling) Service - 9.6 I was eating clean and ordered the fish (it was just ok) so I wouldn’t score them down as an Italian restaurant. I also tried the pastas and they were really good.

Nestled in the heart of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, The Turtle River Falls & Gardens (formerly The Enchanted Gardens) is a tropical eco-attraction that offers lush gardens, cascading waterfalls, and exotic wildlife. This 15-acre hillside paradise features 14 cascading waterfalls along the Turtle River, providing visitors with the option to climb or walk alongside on steps for a secure ascent.
The place couldn't stay open during COVID, so it has turned into this beautiful, modern day, post-apocalyptic takeover of nature. Super inspiring for artsy types, like me. Also, very chill and a nice place to go for a quiet walk. Learning that the grounds keeper has worked there for 18 years and see the place become what it is now is a bit saddening. As much as i love the post-apocalypse vibes, I do hope somebody buys the place to breathe some more life into it.

It was a little unclear from other reviews whether this place is actually “open”. As of January 2025, the answer is “not really.” We were in Ocho Rios on a cruise ship stop and I was interested in checking this out. We encountered a gentleman who said he was a tour guide and offered to take us on a tour of the falls, so we followed him up the steep hill to the entrance. There we met another guy who may be the person other reviews refer to as the caretaker. Between the two of them they decided how much to charge us for a tour. The first guy wanted to charge $20 a person. We negotiated down to $10 and $5 probably would have been more appropriate. We decided to do it, just because it was different and an adventure. The tour itself only took about 15 minutes. The place was apparently hit by a hurricane a few years ago and nothing has been rebuilt or cleaned up. There are trees down across the trails and stairs. After we got a little ways up the trail, the river has been diverted by fallen trees and is running down the stairs. We weren’t wearing water shoes so we didn’t go any further. Bottom line, this place is kind of interesting to visit, but know that it is essentially abandoned and the “tours” are being offered by squatters.

I visited Turtle River Falls in 2018 and it was very nice and well taken care of. I visited again recently and the place was abandoned and unkept. A man walked up to us and said he worked there, but had no uniform or anything to indicate that he was an employee. He charged us to enter the place but I think he kept the money for himself. We went through all the falls and it was not the same as before. I would not recommend visiting here. However, the falls are naturally beautiful. Go visit Dunn’s River Falls or Konoko Falls for a real and great experience. I visited both while in town and they were amazing!

Not officially open, the place was closed in covid 19 times and had not been looked after. Buildings derelict. However Jerome, security on the gate took us round and we went in the waterfalls. Spent a couple of hours there. Wonderful water, amazing jungle plants, I hope it gets a revamp and reopens.

I've been here as a child when it was called Carinosa...lots of ownership changeovers but the experience is just like I remembered it a child. Great place for family fun. They also have a pool that's kid-friendly. Needs a bit more work since the new management, they don't take card cash only and that caused a bit of an issue. There was no guide at the time but you can explore the falls on your own. Overall great experience glad my kids got to experience what I did.... 💖

Great experience and this is my second time. Huge property, great for social distancing while leisurely enjoying yourself in this time. Great content for content creators, great for families, couples, friends and all out nature lovers. Take food as the restaurant is currently closed or call and find out beforehand. There's an aviary so if you love birds, this is for you as well.

There is a bird sanctuary with tour guide. Guided tour of the property. I lost count but I think there are over 10 water falls on the property. Lots of covered areas to avoid the sun but still have a wonderful view. Just visit you will love it.

The drinks were delicious. The mackerel is way too salty. I couldn't finish my meal. I had to drink two glasses of water to dilute the sodium I just put in my body. My mom and dad had ackee and saltfish. That was good. The food took almost a hour to come out. Don't go there super hungry.

It's a great place to chill and unwind. The customer service was good. It's a bit expensive but it's because of the location. The food was delicious, I ordered Reggae Grill chicken wrap ( I don't quite remember the correct name :) ) and my Fiancé ordered Escoveitch fish, the pickle was amazing.

Enjoyed my chicken liver breakfast this morning, best part was the price. This resteraunt provides a very spacious and clean environment... ideal location. Vacation or just passing through the town. This is the place to be.

Food was good, service was slow and nonchalant. Based on the fact that the prices were all in US, and the ambiance was very attractive, one would safely assume quality service. The look and feel of the environment is the biggest selling point, service is average at best and food was good.

Experience was great. Service was good. The food was delicious. We all enjoyed. It was my birthday.

Not worth the hype in my opinion!! I ordered a steamed fish and it was basic and just “okay”. I didn’t get the Jamaican flavors that I was expecting, the vegetables could have been cooked more too. Charging ppl $5,000 for a fish and it not being outstanding is crazy!! The servers are very slow. There wasn’t a lot of ppl when I went and yet they were slow to take orders and bring out the food, etc. Dave, do better for all the hype and money you charge!!

It’s hard for me to rate places in my homeland low, but I had high expectations for this spot and it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. First of all, we waited a very long time for our food, and there wasn’t a crowd there. When the food finally arrived, the conch was not fresh at all, and the lobster had no flavor. It was supposed to be garlic butter, but there was hardly any garlic or butter on it. The service itself was decent, and the atmosphere is beautiful since it’s right by the water and a very popular spot. Many celebrities even visit. However, I think they could do much better with the food, and I truly hope they improve.

Food was delicious, drinks were tasty and the customer service was great. It was one person working but I didn’t even realize. She did a great job (girl with the red hair). I recommend the steamed fish and the fried bammy. The bammy seemed like it was soaking in coconut milk for days, one of the best bammy I’ve ever had tbh.

I must share my great disappointment with this restaurant. The food was extremely horrible, it was served cold and the soup was even worse. Needless to say I will not return and hope that ownership will make the necessary adjustments to improve the quality of the food and service. However, the bartender did make some really impressive cocktails. He deserves a raise. Apart from that it was a waste of money and my time.

This is my experience dining at your location, as I believe feedback is important for improving service and guest satisfaction. Upon arriving, there was no one available to seat us, and we waited about 7 minutes before choosing a spot ourselves. The service, unfortunately, didn’t improve from there. Our server didn’t greet us properly, and it took some time before we were provided with menus. When it was time to order, we were asked to place all of our orders at once, even though we were still deciding on the entree. This led to some confusion, and we felt rushed to make our decisions. Once the food arrived, we noticed the pasta was dried out, likely from being under a heat lamp for too long. Additionally, we were told that our sides were forgotten, and we had to remind the server to bring them. We also ordered two blended virgin fruit punches to accompany the meal and a bottle of water, but the server didn’t check in with us again after bringing the food. I had to get up and get the water myself, and we ended up canceling the fruit punches. It’s clear that there were issues and lapses in attention to detail. While I understand that things can get busy, it’s important to ensure that customers receive the service they expect, especially when paying for a meal. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration so that future customers can have a better experience but this is my only time there. P.S. it was only two of us and we drove a far way

Heard a lot of good things but was very disappointed. Lacking many menu options, including some staples. The meal I did get wasnt great. Poor quality fish and the festivals were the worst I've ever had (granted, they were removed from the bill). Really expensive for not a great experience overall. Could not, in good faith, recommend this place to anyone. Avoid.

The scenery was great, right along the shore looking into the sea. The food was great, it tastes really good. My issues are that with the fried chicken, it was fried too much, so it was on the dry side, and there was no sauce to compliment the dryness. The wait time for receiving our order was crazy. I had to wait 45 minutes to 1 hour for fried chicken with rice and peas plus oxtail and fried shrimp with rice and peas. In addition, I was going to order wings for appetizers, but none was available. I ordered a side of ripe plantains and fried breadfruit, and none were available. I then ordered green plantains, which weren't ready until I had already finished my meal. Overall, somewhat of a good experience, the staff was great. Just need to work on the wait time and the availability of items.
