Very nice place for birding, especially Wallace's standardwing, ivory-bellied pitta, and other Halmahera endemics. Excellent food and generous portions. Very nice staff. The rooms, however, were a bit hot and humid. Fan doesn't really reach the bed, especially when you are under mosquito netting. It wasn't diving season so I didn't get to experience that
Awesome diving resort at Weda Bay, Halmahera. It is the only diving operation in the eara. Dive spots are pristine and abundant with corals and sea animals.
Tusa rental equipment are brand new. Dive boats are comfortable and fast. The bungalows are modest but very clean and comfortable. Meals are very yummy. It is served on a long table, where you eat with the other guests.
Besides diving you can go bird watching.
I would give 6 stars if possible.
Wonderful hosts who think of everything, superb diving, great dive guides (thank you Yanto and Julio!), very comfortable rooms, and of course an incredible location on Halmahera. Highly recommended for an unforgettable holiday.

It's a very remote island, so I didn't expected much. Surprisingly, it was very nice stay.
Cozy clean room. Good food. Friendly staff. Beer!
My friend wanted to eat icecream, but I'm not interested in sweets, so it's ok.
Wow. Just wow.
The scenery is spectacular. The diving and snorkeling is fantastic. The birding possibilities are incredible. What a place to visit!
And the staff make your stay effortless.
I'll never travel to Ternate without this trip planner again
