I chose this hotel because I wanted to stay near the city center and have access to a public bath. However, as soon as I walked in, I was overwhelmed by a VERY strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. It was even noticeable in the non-smoking rest area—how does that make any sense?!
I hate the smell of cigarettes, so why should I have to endure passive smoke when I just came here to relax for a few days? I can’t imagine how families with children feel, especially since the entire hotel seems to be affected—the first floor, the elevator, everything. What kind of first impression does it give when the entire first floor, including the dining area, reeks of smoke? Is it a smoker friendly hotel/ hotel for smokers and didn’t realized when booking???!
The common area is meant to be a place where guests can have a drink before going to their rooms or wait for a while, but with this smell, it’s impossible to stay there. In fact, staying anywhere near the lobby is unbearable. I tried to get some work done there, but the smell gave me a headache, making it impossible to focus. I booked this hotel expecting a comfortable environment, but now I’ll have to spend the next five days going to cafés just to be able to work, which is really inconvenient.
I’d appreciate it if something could be done to improve the air quality in the rest area—whether it’s closing the doors, improving ventilation, or using air purifiers—so that non-smoking guests can actually use the space as intended.
Around 2pm I was in my room trying to rest a bit but the cleaning staff were in the hallway shouting…???! So, I couldn’t rest properly because of all the noise. Also I get that they don’t change the sheets every day, but does cleaning only include replacing towels and toothbrushes? They didn’t even change the pajamas, take out the trash, or make the bed.
The room was also much smaller than I had expected but enough, but has barely any space to move around and without wardrobe. Honestly, I’d even say it felt way smaller than 23m².
You have to pick your breakfast time in advance, which is a bit inconvenient, though I assume it’s to avoid overcrowding. I had read good reviews about the breakfast, but it was REALLY disappointing—very little variety, no fruit, and not even warm milk in winter. I asked the staff, but they didn’t even offer to warm up the milk for me. I can’t drink black coffee, but I also don’t want to have my coffee with cold milk when it’s -2 degrees outside. Honestly, this might be the worst breakfast buffet I’ve ever had, not talking about the quality what is average but because of their variety.
About the public bath was also way smaller than I expected. At night many women are there so even I needed to wait for them to finish to be able to wash. They don’t provide towels, so you have to bring the one from your room, which is inconvenient also in the room they don’t give you any banquet so I can bring it to the spa. On top of that, the women’s public bath door opens directly into the dressing area, which feels uncomfortable. Could you put up a curtain for more privacy? I also don’t understand why the bath is closed from around 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It’s really inconvenient, especially for guests who want to relax in the afternoon.
