My husband and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our 10th anniversary, but unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience.
We arrived for check-in at 4 PM, which is when check-in officially begins. However, a staff member informed us, without us asking, that our room was not ready and that they are not obligated to have it prepared by 4 PM; that time is simply the earliest that check-in can start. We ended up waiting an additional hour for our room to be ready. The staff member who assisted us seemed annoyed and was rude, lacking a welcoming demeanor.
When we finally entered our room, we found it to be somewhat dirty, with light stains on the bedding. The room was located in a busy area with constant noise. It became very warm at night, so we turned on the ceiling fan, which made odd noises and appeared as if it might fall at any moment. We decided to turn it off. Still feeling warm, I found a floor fan and plugged it in. After a while, my husband and I were awakened by the smell of burning plastic. We quickly unhooked the fan and tried to sleep, but the room was very warm. Given that we were on the ground floor near a busy area, we didn't want to leave the sliding door open. I called the front desk, and the staff member who answered was very underwhelmed by my concerns. She said maintenance would check it out in the morning and take away the floor fan. When I asked if we could switch to a room with a properly functioning ceiling fan, she replied immediately that they were fully booked and did not offer any reassurance; she seemed annoyed by my request. I did a quick google and saw they had rooms available for booking.
The next morning, I called again as we were heading out to ensure maintenance would come to take the floor fan and fix the ceiling fan. The staff member assured me that maintenance would take care of it. However, when we returned, no one had come. The ceiling fan was still loose and noisy, and the floor fan was still there. We had no choice but to sleep with the sliding door open, hoping no one would come in while we slept.
In conclusion, it was not a fun trip, and the room was quite expensive. The best part of our stay was the private beach.
