Great ice cream sandwiches! Lots of options to customize, there’s something for everyone! Not much space for people to sit on busy times like weekends, since it’s in a little shopping strip with limited space, and difficult to find easy parking nearby. Still worth stopping in if you’re passing through!

It was a bit difficult locating this place (its upstairs). I ordered online but noticed you can't build your own cookie sandwiches, they just have about 3 standard choices(this might change depending on how busy they are). Luckily, the lady who helped me when I picked up, did additions for me with no hesitation.

We stopped by the place when driving around Lake Tahoe. This place seemed to be the most popular ice cream place. They have ice cream cookies with wide variety of options that you can mix and match. We tried the bear ice cream. Pretty decent.

I think the cookies alone are overpriced, but the portion of ice cream you get makes the sandwich worth it. I don't normally eat cookies, ice cream, or dessert at all for that matter, but I was tempted to join in when the kids wanted a sweet treat. My combination of gooey butter cake cookie and churro ice cream was perfect, although way too much for me to finish. The kids went with more exotic choices such as cookie monster ice cream on a confetti cake cookie.

Cookie lover here. I was super disappointed by The Baked Bear. The quality and taste were a huge let down. I would have been happier with eating some Oreos. This place is overhyped and priced.

Today tried an ice cream sandwich made with cookies for the first time. The sandwich was pretty big, which I liked since I enjoy cookies. The ice cream was decent but not anything special. The best part was eating it on the terrace while watching the city, which made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fun treat, especially if you love cookies!

Most amazing Thai tea ice cream! We’re visiting Lake Tahoe and came across this gem. Aloha Ice Cream has a great selection of flavors and the rolled ice cream is a must try! Delicious!!

We stopped to get ice cream on a hot August afternoon in Tahoe during the heat wave and we were thrilled! The owner is very friendly. There’s eating inside as well outdoors. We got the cherry ice cream and the keep Tahoe berried and the aloha rolled ice cream allof them were delicious! Highly recommended.

They have quite a few variety. But the person at the register was quite rude. Which made the whole happy ice cream experience pretty bad.

Some of the best rolled ice cream I’ve had. Visiting from Minnesota it was a cool way to have the cream of the ice. But the toppings added were amazing! We will be back!

We pass by this ice cream shop a few times and discovered its limited operational hours. Finally chanced on it open on our last day in Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed plant-based ice cream here, unfortunately BEFORE dinner because they close early.

Great little local owned ice cream shop! Rolled or regular ice cream, shakes and all the good stuff. Having a bad day? Stop by for a cone or cup and your outlook will change! If you like ice cream you should try Aloha for sure. If you don’t like ice cream something’s wrong with you and you should check yerself and get checked. Vegan? Yeah they have some nut butter frozen goodness for you too not that I’ve tried it because…ice cream. Lactose intolerant? Sorry bout the mud but they have non dairy ice cream! Sorcery? Alchemy? Not sure but it’s all way too good to drive by and not stop.

We stopped at this restaurant after a short hike on the lake and before we headed home. It is in a rustic building and looked great. They were not busy, and we got a great table with a view of Lake Tahoe. Service was great, Vincente was very attentive and answered our questions. We both ordered French Onion Soups, I ordered a bowl, and my wife ordered a cup. The French soup was cheesy and homemade, but just average. I ordered a BLT and my wife ordered a Reuben on sour dough. We both ordered the sandwiches with French fries. The sandwiches were good and tasty, the French fries were just ok, they were not crunchy, but soft, even though they were just done! Overall, it was just an average experience.

We wanted to come to this restaurant because it has the same name as our autistic son. Since the weather was sunny, we decided to have lunch outside with a good view of Lake Tahoe. To start our lunch, we ordered the fried calamari which came with marinara sauce and taco sauce. We wish there were more because it tasted very delicious. Our waitress served all of our food except for my wife because the order wasn't placed. The waitress did apologize but my wife had to wait a longer for her food to be served.

We went for a sunset dinner and didn't disappoint. Breath taking sunset view, fantastic service, good food, and great atmosphere. They even handled a difficult customer with professionalism and courtesy. I'd definitely come here again.

The worst food I've had while staying at Tahoe...the food was extremely expensive...we paid $15 for my daughters "avocado toast" that was 1 crappy piece of bread with mashed avocado that tasted old no eggs, nothing else other than feta cheese..1 piece only!!! The eggs were powdered and the service was awful. This disgusting meal cost me $92..we were not full and were extremely disappointed all around.

4&1/2 stars. Family friendly, not crowded or smokey. Service can be a little slow, food pricey for what it is, but typical for the Tahoe area. Nice windows, outside patio seating. Been here several times. Summer berry salad delish, chicken Alfredo extremely garlicky and expensive. Iced tea mid. Clean bathrooms.

Came to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was innovative and delicious. Special shout out to Allyjah for the exemplary assistance tonight.

Our service was...in training? Sweet, but missed an entree and side and wasn't as available as we needed (that could be a staffing issue). in fact, it seemed like 3 people were running the entire place. Staffing was a skeleton crew at best. The food was lousy. The "fish fry" was an overcooked fish & chips. Onion rings were overcooked and inedible.

Worst Cold Stone experience ever. I always order Chocolate Devotion with Cake Batter, but this time was a total disaster. The ice cream was already melted when I got it, yet Cassidy insisted that this was just the consistency of Cake Batter. On top of that, there wasn’t nearly enough hot fudge. We went to the South Lake Tahoe location on February 12 at around 2:30 PM. We were the only customers, so I don’t understand why Cassidy couldn’t take the time to make it right. Cold Stone needs to understand that their product isn’t cheap—almost $12 for a medium cup. I’m more than willing to pay that, but only if I actually get what I’m paying for. I sent feedback to customer service but haven’t heard back. If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. Poor service like this is exactly how companies go out of business.

It’s hard to expect works of art and super fast service when you’re located in the busiest parts of the area. The lines are out the door even late. But from what I saw, they did their best with who they had to work and the ice cream came out ok. I’m sure the workers there don’t set the prices for the area so it’s hard to blame them for that and it’s in relation with the location. The service was ok and the line that started out the door went quick enough.

This is one of our top go to spots for ice cream when walking around town in SLT. It’s always busy but staff are helpful. Prices are higher than usual but it’s expected being in a touristy spot.

I could give no star if possible. Spending 50$ among 4 people for 3 big ice creme cones, and a drink. Upon asking for one extra spoon so we can all share ice creme we bought ,we get denied from staff after staff- reason? They will run out of spoons if they give an extra spoon to a customer who spent 50$ to share different flavors among family members. Worst customer service and untrained staff. Management please stock up your inventory properly and when you cant ,train your staff better so they are equipped to treat customers nicely.

Unfortunately run by young workers who are rude, making fun of cutomers. When i asked the cashier that I want to talk to the manager to complain, he pointed to the girl that made fun of us along with her colleague. Yes it's the shift lead making fun of customers. Reading the other reviews it's clear that this is a pattern at this location.

I had a much different experience here than it seems like most other people in the reviews… The staff was so friendly and funny, they served quickly, and the ice cream was delicious. No complaints from me or my family!

I went here twice on my trip to Tahoe. I usually love coming here and it is almost a tradition for my family to come here. I was very disappointed with the customer service both times. I was treated very rude both times I came. Every worker there has an attitude for whatever reason. And I was just treated like I was not supposed to be there. Overall the food is okay, ice cream is great. But the workers are just all on edge and make the whole experience not even worth the food. Once I would have thought someone was having a bad day. But multiple people multiple days, something is up with these employees.

Honestly I was a bit disappointed. The burgers were just okay..the crispy onion rings and the shake were delicious! Service was subpar and it was pretty pricey...about $40 for two burgers, one fry, a shake, and a soft drink..if you're looking for milkshakes definitely come here but maybe not if you're craving a burger.

Mediocre and overpriced burgers that weren't made correctly. Fries that practically made my tongue numb from the salt overload. "Milkshake" that tasted like vanilla soft serve with a hint of artificial syrup. All topped off with employees that seem to hate their job. Not sure if these burgers are "famous" for good reasons or because of overwhelmingly average everything was but the price.

Staff was great. The carne was really tough and hard to eat with a plastic fork. It had a good flavor I think it just stayed a little long on the grill. I will probably give it another try as everyone has a bad day and I will hope to catch them on a good one.

This place is terrible. This is what I got when I opened my container. They should be ashamed of this meal they served. The quality of the food was at a all time low as well. $25.00 meal, too. This meal wasn't even worth a penny.

Comida autentica mexicana: warm family style restaurant tucked back in a corner beside CVS. Prices a bit higher than I expected but the carne asada tacos were top shelf. The carnitas were also good but I would say the carne was better. Fresh cool tomato slices and lettuce. Decent little salsa bar with extra fixins like onions and cucumbers. Pastries included lots of empanadas with cream and fruit filling (no meat or cheese). Friendly attentive staff.

I try gelato everywhere when I travel! I was delighted to stumble upon this place while I was visiting the marina in South Lake Tahoe! I tried the peanut butter cup gelato and while it was good, it did not have that knock-out creaminess that I’ve come to love from gelato. It tasted more like an ice cream, but delicious none-the-less! I especially enjoyed the vibe/atmosphere and giggled at their humor (see the decal sticker on the glass of their gelato viewing window)!

Ice cream is my favorite dessert for the holidays , it is the ideal holiday treat! The sea salt caramel here is the best I have ever had and it reminded me of the traditional Bengali sweet, nolen gurer sandesh. Spooned into pretty cups , this dessert served here brought me childlike joy.

Delicious! Cute place with a variety of gelato and sorbet. A must stop while visiting the shops at Ski Run Marina! 😋 Fee for parking, 1st 1/2 hour free.

My husband and I were looking to order gender reveal cupcakes to have a small celebration with my family - after initially planning to use another local bakery, we were turned away due to miscommunication/scheduling mixup. With only a 4 day notice, I immediately panicked! My husband started looking and found Tahoe Love Bakery. We were immediately met with warmth and reassurance by Erin and she was able to squeeze us in. The whole process was quick and stress free. I really appreciate the level of care and attention she showed us. The cupcakes were super yummy! Overall it was such a hit and a moment I’ll always cherish and remember. Thank you, Erin! Update: 03/19/23 - Once again, I contacted Erin to make a very special 50th birthday cake for my wife. Erin is so easy to work with and ordering was super easy. The GF cake was such a hit at the party that everyone was claiming it was one of the best cakes that they have ever enjoyed. (Not best GF only, But best overall!) while in Tahoe, I will always keep coming back to Erin for the goodies…. After calling all over Lake Tahoe, looking for gluten free cupcakes for my wife’s birthday the following day, Erin returned my call and said that she’d be happy to bake the cupcakes for me. Not only did I get GF cupcakes, Erin allowed me to completely customize my order (flavor, color, vegan, frosting, sprinkles, etc.). At the party, the cupcakes were a huge hit! Everyone commented on how delicious and moist they were (many GF baked products are very dry). Erin and her tasty cupcakes saved me. My wife had a treat to hold her birthday candle. Thank you Erin!

All my daughter wanted was a lion cake for her 5th birthday, and Erin truly delivered. Not only was the cake delicious, but Erin put more than just a lion. My daughter was ecstatic when she saw her cake. I requested a gluten-free and dairy free cake, and hers by far was one of the best we've ever had. I had such a great experience at Tahoe Bear Tea House! The drinks are refreshing and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with just the right amount of flavor. Their boba is always soft and chewy, never overcooked, which makes every sip satisfying. The menu has a nice variety, from classic milk teas to fun specialty drinks, so there’s something for everyone. On top of that, the shop has a cozy and welcoming vibe, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. I had a really disappointing experience here. I ordered a taro boba, and it came out super powdery and not satisfying at all. When I politely asked if I could get it blended better (and even offered to pay again), the worker started arguing with me saying “that’s how taro is”—which is not true at all. Instead of trying to fix the drink, he was rude and only offered me a 59 cent discount. For a place that’s supposed to specialize in boba, the drink quality and customer service were both very poor. Definitely not worth coming back.

I was really hoping this drink would be good, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The flavor was weak and watered down, and the boba lacked the chewy texture you’d expect it tasted like it had been sitting out for hours/the boba did not taste like brown sugar boba. The boba had no flavor. Ended up throwing it away after few sips.

Served a random caramel drink when i ordered a macchiato. The guy at counter was like ‘this is how we do macchiato’. Well sure but mention it in the menu. I dont know to expect a bagel if i order a pizza

This is a fun shop to go to. We pretty much go here to pick up some sweets every time we visit South Lake Tahoe. This time on Sunday (3/26) and it’s no different. The place is fun, inviting, warm, and filled from wall to wall with candy, sweets, treats, anything you can think of. I found stuff from my childhood days. Expect to pay a little more for the treats but it’s worth it. I highly recommend paying this place a visit if you’re in the area. You won’t regret it.

I love that this place offers candy you won't find many places. Especially their drink selection. However, the prices have gone up DRAMATICALLY and their quality has plummeted in the last few years. On my most recent trip here I bought a berry whip Snickers candy bar and bottle caps candy. The small size snickers ended up being $6.99 (my fault for not looking at the sticker price) and was completely stale and hard. There was no friendly greeting by any staff just scanned my items asked if i needed a bag and that was the end of it all. It had me leaving this place with a bad taste in my mouth. Emotionally and physically.

We always stop at Rocket Fizz on our way out of South Lake Tahoe! This is one of the little gems of South Lake. They have a little bit of everything candy wise and some really unique and rare flavors! Their variety is impressive and their staff is warm and hospitable. They also have a big selection of fun flavored sodas! Prices are super reasonable. Such a great little spot! Check it out if you can! 12/10

Make sure to have your dentists number available after visiting here! So many types of candy. Unbelievable flavors of soda Great location! Brought my kids here while staying in Tahoe. They enjoyed seeing all the wild flavors of soda. The staff was friendly. I’d come back.

This place will take you back to your childhood no matter how old ya are ! They have it all, trust me . That candy that your grandma had as a treat, the one you loved going to the store to get .. they have it! The drink selection is crazy cool. Prices not to bad. They have bins in the back you can fill bags for a couple different prices. They are a chain store so if ya ever see one stop in.

Every kind of soda you can imagine, and some you wouldn't want to imagine... "Bug Barf" flavor?? Lots of varieties of root beer, ginger beer, energy drinks, and tons of candy. It's not cheap. The best value is to buy 24 bottles of soda for approx $42. Fun store. Cool signs on the walls.

Coming here is a tradition whenever my family and I visit South Lake Tahoe, and they never disappoint! They have a huge variety (which can get a bit pricey depending on what you pick, but hey, you get what you pay for), and they slice apples for you so it becomes possible to actually eat them :) Currently, they require only one party to be in the store at a time since it's a bit of a small space, but the employees are quick to help. Generally I love RMCF, but I was disappointed in their selection this time. I went twice in one week, but they only had one type of fudge (which, granted, was delicious as always). They did have a big selection of chocolate covered apples if that's your thing.

Good chocolate, friendly staff, nice clean store. Highly recommend the hazelnut toffee chocolate bar it's delicious! And the caramel on the candy apples smells amazing so I can imagine that is delicious as well!

Your standard rocky mountain store. The scent of chocolate hits you as you open the door. We got truffles to go. They were your average truffles. If you're looking to get a sugar fix, this is the place.

After what happened to Dr. Deveaux at the Tahoe location I cannot give this company a good review. I am disgusted in the treatment she received especially being she was a huge customer of this company as was I. The owner chose not to act on her complaint and brush it off like nothing happened. In todays world with Covid there is no excuse for what happened and to make light of it is appalling.
