Bali Airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport) is well-maintained and offers a pleasant experience for travelers. There are plenty of good eateries and shopping options throughout the terminal. A nice touch is the availability of foot massage services inside the airport, which can be a great way to relax before or after a flight. The washrooms are generally clean and thoughtfully decorated with fresh flowers, adding a refreshing, local touch. Additionally, the Klook or Grab pickup point features an air-conditioned seating lounge, which is very convenient, especially when waiting for your ride. Flights get rescheduled/delayed quite often so check and confirm before you reach airport. Overall, the airport provides a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for both arrivals and departures.

A great airport experience! Ngurah Rai International Airport is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful, from immigration to security. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and souvenir stores to enjoy while waiting for your flight. The traditional Balinese design elements throughout the terminal add a unique cultural touch. Everything ran smoothly, and I was impressed by the efficiency and atmosphere. Highly recommended for travelers coming to or leaving Bali!

I like the arrival terminal more than the departure one. The arrival is way more beautiful, you can find dozens of food stalls and affordable minimarket. While in the departure, things are so expensive and only limited food stalls are available. However the staff in both terminal are nice and friendly.

I travelled to Bali this year and I arrived and departed through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The overall experience was surprisingly smooth, comfortable, and very traveler-friendly. From the moment I stepped off the plane, the airport felt modern, clean, and well-organized, making it easy to navigate even though it can get quite busy. The immigration process was fairly efficient. The queues can be long depending on the time of arrival, but the officers worked steadily, and the lines moved at a reasonable pace. The staff were professional and gave clear instructions, which made the process feel less stressful. Once inside the terminal, baggage claim was straightforward. The belts were clearly labeled, and my luggage arrived without any delay. One thing that really stood out during my arrival was how convenient the airport makes it for tourists to settle in quickly. Right after exiting immigration, I purchased an eSIM at the airport, which was incredibly helpful for staying connected throughout my trip. The staff at the eSIM counter explained everything clearly, activated it within minutes, and made sure it was working before I left. It saved me the hassle of searching for a SIM shop outside, and the network worked perfectly across Bali. The airport itself has a wide variety of shops, cafés, and duty-free stores, offering everything from local Balinese snacks to international brands. Whether you want souvenirs, last-minute essentials, or just something to snack on, there’s plenty to choose from. The restaurants and cafes are also quite good for an airport. Clean, comfortable, and offering both local and Western options. The terminal environment is well-maintained. Restrooms were clean and regularly serviced. Security checks were organized, and the staff remained polite and helpful throughout my journey. The architecture has subtle Balinese cultural touches, which adds charm without compromising the modern feel of the place. I also liked the comfortable seating areas near the gates. Even during peak hours, it never felt chaotic. The air conditioning was strong and refreshing and the free Wi-Fi worked really good, which made waiting for my flight much easier. Overall, I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport offers a smooth and welcoming travel experience. From convenient eSIM services and clear navigation to friendly staff and comfortable facilities, it truly sets a positive tone for anyone arriving in or departing from Bali.

A fabulous airport that is well designed and extremely well maintained with an excellent selection of retail outlets and places to eat. We particularly enjoyed the Wolfgang Puck eatery, fast, friendly and efficient service, great value for an international airport. On arrival many people were standing in long queues to clear immigration and customs but we sailed through in minutes because we followed the procedures on the official Indonesian website and obtained our E.Visa and supporting documentation (including health and customs declaration) in advance, it really couldn't be easier at the airport if you are properly prepared but the Government website is a bit of a challenge it has to be said but worth persevering with. The check-in (well done Emirates) and security checks were swift and efficient but the boarding procedure was the usual frustration you have to expect with many hundreds of people boarding a massive aircraft at the same time. One of our favourite airports, enhanced by the typically friendly and gracious Indonesian staff who really go out of their way to help travellers.
