(Translated by Google) It seems that a man (in his 60s or 70s?) is running the business by himself.
There seemed to be a lot of guests busy during the Golden Week holidays, and when I came to check in after 4:00 pm, they seemed to be in trouble and said, ``I'm sorry that things aren't ready yet.''
It is possible to accommodate up to 3 groups.
There were various folk art items in the hallway, including rare items like a Buddha statue carved from a chunk of crystal that could fit in the palm of your hand.
Although the facility is quite old, it was kept very well, and the rooms, baths, and toilets were all clean and comfortable.
As a treat, I received fruit punch and even made barley tea and kept it in the refrigerator.
It's been a while since I've had fruit punch, and it's really delicious to have a cold fruit punch after taking a bath.
Each room had a small refrigerator (a household type with separate refrigeration and freezing functions), and I was able to freeze my ice packs, which was really helpful.
The hot springs are sulfur springs.
However, since it is not hydrogen sulfide type, the water is clear and has almost no sulfur smell.
If you are looking for a cloudy hot spring with a sulfur smell, other inns in Kirishima Onsenkyo are better.
There is only one large public bath, so you will have to take turns using it with other people.
The bathing time at night is from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM (22:00 depending on the day), so if you arrive late at the inn, you may not be able to enter much.
Morning hours are from 7am to 9:30am.
It's a little hot because the source temperature is high, but they adjust it by adding water.
There are no separate women's and men's baths, so it's good for families to use the bath, but you might be a little concerned if there are other people waiting in line to take a bath.
The restrooms are also shared by men and women, and the rule is to hang up the tag you are using at the entrance when you use them.
You can hear people talking in the next room, so be careful with the volume.
We generally bring everything ourselves, so we didn't really check it, but there were bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in the public bath.
Samue and towels are provided in the room.
I don't know how much amenities such as toothbrushes will be provided, so I think it's better to check in advance if you need them.
The host of the inn was a very nice person and took great care of me.
Although there are restrictions such as not being able to stay in the room between 10am and 4pm even if you stay for consecutive nights because you are managing the whole business by yourself, we were able to stay comfortably for less than 5,000 yen per person per night (5% discount for consecutive nights) despite Golden Week, and we are grateful for that.
