⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We only stayed one night as this was our halfway point on the trip home, but we were very impressed! We chose this campground because it’s just a mile or two off I-81 — super convenient for easy on and off the highway — and could accommodate our large 45’ fifth wheel. We were scheduled to arrive after office hours but kept in touch with the campground, and when we arrived, we were greeted by Haley in the office. She was super friendly and even asked if we needed firewood or propane. After check-in, an employee escorted us to our site on a golf cart — a thoughtful touch after a long travel day. We had one of their luxury sites, which featured a large, level concrete pad with a patio. It made setup quick and easy! The site also had a gas grill, table, and chairs — a great surprise that meant I didn’t even have to set up our Blackstone for dinner. Honestly, this campground deserves a higher rating than the 3 stars it currently has. Yes, being close to the highway means there’s a bit of road noise, but we expected that and it didn’t bother us at all. We didn’t use the Wi-Fi, pool, or other amenities, but everything we saw looked extremely well maintained. The camp store was top-notch — an entire wall of RV parts and accessories, plus coffee, tea, snacks, souvenirs, and a great selection of t-shirts and hoodies. Everything was spotless, well-stocked, and well organized. Not only is this review from a happy customer, but also from a fellow campground owner — and we can truly appreciate all the thoughtful touches, attention to detail, and pride of ownership that went into this place. Overall, a great stay — we’d absolutely stop again when passing through.
The campground is very well maintained. However, there are a great many rules that appear to be more for the beautification of the campground or convenience of the staff than the enjoyment of the people actually camping there. We usually put up a small, free standing dog fence. We asked about putting one up, because it does say in the rules no fences, however we have stayed at NUMEROUS campground that have that in the rules but once we explain we have mini dachshunds and a self contained fence that hooks to itself and does not require stakes in the ground everywhere we have ever stayed has allowed that type of fence. Once we were asked to take it down on grass cutting day-understandable. But Nope! Not here!, not allowed! period! I can understand a rule not allowing you to leave your dogs alone outside, we don’t do that. But it makes for a very inconvenient stay when we cannot hang out outside with our dogs unless on a leash. It is a pain to hook them up to a harness and leash every time we go out the door. Honestly, had we realized this we would have booked elsewhere, it made for a rough week staying there. Pool was nice. Again, the campground is well maintained and the staff are attentive, so if you don’t have pets this might be better for you.
Road noise is very bad, can't sit outside your camper and have a conversation, its so loud. Facilities are clean and well kept. Check-in went smoothly. Our problem occurred when my brother and sister-in-law came to pick me up and take me to a family event. Management first informed my wife that they wouldn't be allowed to pass the gate. Before we had time to advise them of that fact, they drove up and the manager very rudely told them to wait at the gate. When I walked to the gate to meet my brother, I met the manager who was doing some work near the entry gate. I suggested that he might consider being a little more flexible with his rule enforcement. After all they were merely picking me up and taking a quick look at our camper which they had never seen before. At that point, we would be headed out. His response (suggesting he was sorry I couldn't afford the required $10/person) was rude, unprofessional and left me promising to never return to his campground again. If you want to be treated with disrespect at a campground that has a lot of road noise and really is not very impressive, this is the place for you...

We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. The staff was friendly, the grounds well maintained and the "The Rockin' Trolley" was so much fun. The premium lots are large with nice patio furniture and a gas grill on a level concrete pad. The camp store is well stocked. The pool is very nice, there is also an arcade room. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great week at Candy Hill Campground. Everything was so well maintained and clean. All the staff we encountered were very nice. They take you to your site and assist you backing in. Great store. Stocked with everything you can think of. Great location with a lot to see and do in the area. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.
