The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is a cultural gem in the region, offering a diverse range of attractions for visitors. The museum features an extensive collection of 18th-century art, including decorative arts and fine art from Europe and America. Additionally, it houses a captivating assortment of miniature houses and rooms. One of its current highlights is the Steinlen: Cats exhibition, showcasing the work of artist Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen.
This cute museum was having a free pottery show when I visited! The staff was extremely nice, explained the layout, and sent me on my way to explore. My absolute favorite part is the bamboo forest! Highly recommend visiting, make sure you buy the tickets online off their website to save $2-3 dollars. Adult tickets are $12 online and $15 in person. They also offer discounted tickets for children and seniors. The ticket gives you access to the inside museum and the grounds! Definitely worth the visit.

Wonderful museum rich in local history of the Shenandoah Valley. There are seasonal and annual art exhibits along with manicured gardens to explore. The 90 acres boasts more than 3 miles of walking trails and wildlife to explore. Prices are very reasonable at $25 per adult, $17 for seniors and $12 for students. Children under 12 are free. There are incredible artifacts from the early periods of the 1800s and history from earlier periods. There is a nice gift shop and bathrooms and the staff was wonderful and helpful. Great place to spend at least an hour or two inside and up to 3-4 hours walking the grounds. Highly recommend.
Brian T — Google review
I’ve lived in Northern VA for decades, but was unaware of the museum until a friend recently recommended it. The museum is excellent, the grounds are beautiful, and Glen Burnie house was very cool. We will definitely be recommending it as a fun day trip from the DC area!
Bea R — Google review
A++ what a gem. Definitely recommending to everyone because there is so much art/history inside, in addition to serene/well-marked ADA trails outside. Beautiful sculptures and birds around (couple deer too). I may have gotten lucky: on a lightly-drizzle rain Saturday it wasn’t very busy and patrons were super respectful/quiet. I’ll be back soon, many thanks to all involved 🙏

Absolutely love this place. Every time we've went they have had different spotlight on the arts. Last time was metal dinosaurs sculptures. Just amazing! Well worth the money. Buy online for a few dollars discount. Great on cooler days.
Pamela F — Google review
Small but very well curated museum with exhibits in history, flora, fauna, as well as temporary exhibits. They had Frida Calho when we visited. The gardens are also very well kept, and they had art installations. The top of the hill has a view. The pretty cows were a plus. But don't feed them!
Nizar F — Google review
A group of is went yesterday to see the Scraposaurs in the garden. Very cool! I believe it was $10 entry fee for seniors. This is a limited time sculpture exhibit of scrap metal dinosaurs. The artist, Dale Lewis, has an amazing ability to pick metal pieces and then turn them into almost life sized dinosaurs. This museum has some sort of sculpture exhibit every year. Last year it was giant glass flowers and plants. And… the gardens are beautiful as well. It can be a little challenging to walk if you are using a walker, but not too bad. I believe there are 13 sculptures; I just took a few pictures.
Teresia S — Google review
This museum is AWESOME! If you have a chance to visit don't miss it. The historic house and gardens are also fantastic in addition to the museum proper. Plan to spend the day. Also check their website for special events and free days if you are on a budget. I just attended a concert in the drawing room this past weekend and can say that if you love live chamber music preformed by top rate musicians don't miss the chance to attend one of the next concerts offered this season on the MSV events website. A truly sublime experience!

Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum is an indoor family attraction that offers interactive science and cultural education alongside play opportunities for children. The museum boasts four floors of educational fun at a very reasonable price, offering classic children's museum activities such as big building blocks, fish and frogs exhibits, and water engineering adventures. Visitors can also enjoy unique experiences like a functioning beehive, optical illusions, and musical instruments on the roof.
Took my 3 year old for the first time on a Thursday morning. It was the perfect time! I assume it is probably really busy during the weekend. We were there for two hours and we both really enjoyed our time together there. The best part is definitely the first and second floor. There is a lot to do! It’s kept very clean. The third level was not too interesting for us and the fourth level doesn’t have much. I definitely recommend it and will be continuing to visit!!

So glad we stopped in. This children’s museum was so much fun. My children played for 2 1/2 straight and would have stayed longer! They have such a wide variety of play options appealing to all ages. The water feature was especially well done. Professional, friendly, clean, and fun! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend checking it out!
Alexi D — Google review
I took my 5-year-old son to this children’s museum, and it was a fantastic experience! The exhibits were stimulating, engaging, and designed to spark curiosity and imagination. He loved exploring the hands-on activities, and it was wonderful to see him learning while having so much fun. The museum provides a perfect mix of education and entertainment, making it a great place for kids to explore their creativity. The staff was friendly, and the environment was clean and safe. Highly recommend this spot for families looking for an enriching and fun outing!

What a great place to go to spend the day or a few hours. The Virginia Farm Market exhibit was great to see with the cow and horse. I did like the Bee hive as well.
Marie L — Google review
Such a fun, interactive place for kids of all ages! My 11 year old and teen had fun playing around with our toddler. There are 4 levels of educational, hands-on fun. We plan to come back soon!
Jessica Z — Google review
The older lady at the counter is the best. She talked with our grandson about his first visit. Even though he could have cared less. She took the time. Thanks for a great visit. He loved the water table.
Jenye K — Google review
This is an amazing place for children, there are plenty of things for them to discover and play with. There are 4 floors of activities and plenty to do including an outdoor play area on the roof! Rest rooms on every floor, an elevator too. Parking is right next door or on the street and access is easy. You won't be disappointed by going here.
Paul D — Google review
Very fun place to take the kids with more than enough to keep them occupied for at least 2 hours. There are 4 floors, with one being the roof with musical instruments. On a nice day, the rooftop is a great place to be. To get from floor to floor, you can take an elevator or take steps and let them burn more energy. The type things for my kids was the be hive they had through the window, the slide, and the musical instrument's. All in all, for the price that you are paying, you are getting a great hands-on way for your kids to spend their time.

The Patsy Cline Historic House is a modest 2-story family home in Winchester, Virginia, where the legendary country music singer lived from 1948 to 1953. The Greek revival home has been transformed into a museum dedicated to her life and career. Visitors can explore the preserved residence and learn about her journey to stardom through guided tours or a self-guided driving tour of other significant locations associated with Patsy Cline in Winchester.
I make an annual trip to an event that is near Winchester and last year found out that this was where Patsy Cline was from! We built in some extra time this year so we could visit the historic house. The tour was really great and definitely learned more about her life. Nice little gift shop inside, glad to support the local efforts to keep her history alive! Tour was about 30 minutes, all inside. Nice porch to sit and wait on if there's a tour already going on, no need to book ahead. There are some steep stairs to get to the second floor to see the bedroom, but otherwise all pretty accessible. I was driving my RV so I had to park on the Main Street and it was about an 8 minute walk, with some hills but no problem. My friend and I really enjoyed the history! Last photo posts directions to the cemetery where she's buried, not too far away.
Sandy A — Google review
I had a drs appointment and this gem was a mile away. What can one say? It's Patsy's old home! Originally a log cabin and upgraded by her mother throughout the years. Beautiful pine floors and I love how they have her original items throughout the home. The tour is 30 minutes and the fee for that is $8 dollars. It's in a community and off street parking is limited since it's a populated neighborhood. There is no video to be allowed but you may take pictures. No restroom available but it does have a small gift shop. The tour gives a walk through time and space experience. It's like you think, I'm in Patsy's old home. Her mother had turned the home into a rental for some time but then it became a visitor attraction. Highly recommend! You can't help but sing along as her music is played shortly during the tour. Steep stairs so hang on. No where to sit so wear comfortable shoes.
Maria Q — Google review
Thirty minute tour worth the money very interesting history
Joe F — Google review
Rang the doorbell to Patsy's house and got a guided tour from Laurel, who was so incredibly personable that it felt like we were friends just moments after meeting. Laurel was very knowledgeable about Patsy's life and career, easily answering all of our questions. Next door to the house is a walkway and overlook with a Patsy cutout ready for a photo. Anyone crazy about Patsy Cline should go walkin' up to this place, but not after midnight because they're only open from 10-4pm.
Jon R — Google review
I happened to find out about an event here through Facebook and detoured through Winchester to check it out. The house is tiny but it was a wonderful experience. The volunteers were so pleasant and knowledgeable. I got to chat with a few Patsy fans and they really were great people. There is no parking lot, the house is literally in a neighborhood so street parking but there was plenty and it’s walkable if you are in town. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area. I hear they do a big event in September and block off a couple streets - it sounded fun!

I loved the tour...the ladies were very knowledgeable. It was very cool to see pictures of her and her family and hear stories of her childhood. The tour guide even met Pasty when she was 16 working at a soda shop. We even went to the grave site after. I really enjoyed it!

George Washington's Office, located in Winchester, VA, is a historic log cabin that served as President George Washington's military office during the 18th century. The museum houses period artifacts and offers a unique glimpse into Washington's life. Visitors can explore the building where strategic plans were made during the French and Indian War and view personal items belonging to George Washington. Additionally, the grounds feature an impressive cannon left by General Edward Braddock.
Really fun museum! It's a short visit. But definitely do the tour. The guy who did our tour was super enthusiastic and gave us a lot of information. He even plays George Washington in a movie! Can definitely recommend going here, worth it. Fun fact, the oldest item in the museum is a Dutch vase.
Kirsten V — Google review
Very nice, the lady was very nice wish we had time to have a tour with her
Ba J — Google review
I would go again, a great opportunity to stand where George Washington stood, to touch what he touched, to have a wonderful tour guide, thoroughly explain with such ease and understandable delivery of the pieces of history was a delight, I would go again and bring more guests if the opportunity ever arose.
Shashoni — Google review
The information Cathy shared about the history of the office and Washington was interesting. We enjoyed listening to her and I can tell she's very passionate about sharing history. It amazes me how small the place was and how many people lived there after it was sold to a family. It was worth going and seeing how people worked and lived. The picture that I shared only the middle part is what George Washington worked in. Later it was extended on both side.
M R — Google review
It’s very interesting to learn about a young George Washington. As a teenager he became a surveyor in western Virginia. He was active in politics in Winchester. This small museum has many rare artifacts of Washington’s life here. Worth a stop for everyone. We visited this museum in the early 1990’s and glad we came back. Worth reinforcing our memory of the first US President that risked his life for us all.
RV T — Google review
Stopped by for some American history. What a wonderful experience. Loved the way were told the story of George Washingtons life. I highly recommend stopping by.
Sharon T — Google review
This is an amazing little museum. Definitely worth the stop. Cathy our tour guide was amazing. She gave us a very personal tour and I learned a lot about George Washington and his life. This place is so under rated. If you are ever in Winchester you need to stop by here. Admission is also under 10$ which makes it a great value as well! I loved it.

Old Town Winchester is a captivating historic district that boasts buildings dating back over 250 years, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in history and architecture. Begin your adventure with a delightful lunch at the Cork Street Tavern, housed in an 1830s building, where you can savor delicious salads, sandwiches, and burgers. After refueling, embark on a self-guided walking tour to explore notable sites such as George Washington's Office Museum and the stunning Beaux Arts Handley Regional Library.
Different Restaurants, many parking, kid friendly, disability friendly, middle of town. No ticket, no reservation, and free.
Eyram A — Google review
The old town is a nice pedestrianised street. It’s a real mixture of historical buildings and then some basic 70’s looking shops. Feel like this place has a lot of potential to become something special, especially with the history it has. There are a decent amount of restaurants and shops. However, when we visited a lot was closed and there were a fair amount of homeless people hanging around.
Carlos U — Google review
Old Town Winchester is a fantastic place to spend the day (or weekend)! It’s full of charm, with cool shops, great restaurants, and plenty of unique bars to check out. Live music fills the streets, and the historic buildings give the whole area a timeless feel. It’s walkable, family-friendly, and feels very safe-everyone just seems to be having a great time. One of the coolest parts? You can even visit George Washington’s actual office! If you love history, good food, and a fun atmosphere, this place is a must-visit.
Sam — Google review
Nice pedestrian area in the old town Winchester. Several shops and restaurants, but some seem to close before the dinner hour, at least on the Saturday when I was there.
Mark C — Google review
Very nice, vibrant historic town. Very good for a stroll, dinner and drinks and to walk back to the history.
Chidambara G — Google review
I visited Old Town Winchester after driving about an hour to get there. While the area is charming, I was a little disappointed with the experience. The pedestrian mall is smaller than I expected, and the variety of restaurants was limited. I was hoping for more dining options and a longer stretch of shops and attractions to explore.”

Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Winchester, Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum offers a captivating glimpse into a tumultuous past. Housed within the historic Frederick County Courthouse—an impressive Greek Revival structure built in 1840—the museum showcases over 3,000 artifacts from the Civil War era.
Five stars for Cody, one of the volunteers. Not a guided tour, but he was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about history and able to answer our many questions. Museum itself is a bit small for admission price but for anyone interested in this time period I would still recommend it.
Jon R — Google review
Excellent museum with both guided presentations in the courthouse and self guided on the upper level. You can see actual graffiti from solders uncovered behind the walls. Plenty of great information here and plenty to see. We spend a couple of hours here.

Bright Box Theater is a lively performance and event space located in the Loudoun Pedestrian Mall at the heart of Winchester. Since its opening in May 2013, it has become a central hub for locals and tourists, hosting a wide range of performances including drag shows, jazz, punk, reggae, rock, comedy acts, jam bands, and themed private parties.
We rented the entire Bright Box in gorgeous Winchester VA for our wedding. The venue provided a unique yet eloquent tone for our special day. It was especially convenient to have Catering, DJ, and media all wrapped into one venue. Nick (Bright Box event coordinator) and the rest of the Bright Box staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during our day. Nick worked very well with our Day of Coordinator to ensure all needs provided by the Bright Box were met promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Box for our wedding. Having both the downstairs for our ceremony and dance floor coupled with the upstairs for cocktail hour, pictures, and a quite talking place away from the music made our day complete and provided great flexibility for our guests. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with our guests on an amazing weather day. Thank you Nick & Bright Box for an amazing day, we're looking forward to checking out a show for our anniversary!
James M — Google review
We came here in mid-April to see Them Dirty Roses. This was my first time at this venue. I bought general admission tickets online the day before the show through eventbrite. The show ended up being sold out. My online research told me it was under 300 person capacity so I had an idea of what I was getting into as far as general admission and it being packed. When you walk in, you pass by a room in the front and go down a hallway to the bar area. That was packed. Women’s restrooms are beside the bar. Pass through this room to the back where the stage is located. It was pretty packed in that room when we got there. We missed the first opening act but caught the second opening band. The men’s restroom is in the back of this room. I was expecting the stage to be at the back but it was on the side of the room which ended up being good positioning - allowing people to stand directly in front of the stage but also off to the sides and still get a good view. The sound was good - better than I was expecting for such a small place. We weren’t elbow to elbow, but it was pretty tight. We stood stage left and had room to move around a bit. Some men trying to get through to the bathroom shoved their way there unnecessarily but nothing to cause any issues. Someone making announcement before the band came out said if you have too much to drink find a Brightbox staff member and they will get you an Uber. I thought that was nice. People were singing along and hooting and hollering. It was obvious they really liked the band which I think is cool and I am sure the band loves that. Ticket prices were great. We parked on the street a couple blocks away - parking was free on the weekend. We saw a mine to get in as we arrived but we went and had a drink and ate first so by the time we got to the door, there was no line. As I said, we did miss the first opening act but that was fine with us. We had an overall good experience. I’d say, for a small venue, this is a good place to see a show.
Miss V — Google review
Came here for the “Halloween Who Did It Show. What fun!! The show was very interesting, the staff were great. Our drinks from the bar were good. The food could have been better.
Barbara T — Google review
This is a nice spot. Good view over the river. The food was excellent. Obviously made in house, everything was delicious. Crab prices were high, especially for this time of year (but they were selling them) so opted for other items. Clam strips were awesome! Soft shells were very good as well. The non fried crab cake is excellent. Fried version not so much. Not even comparable.
Greg N — Google review
I was able to see a national act for less than $40. Easy ticket purchase online. Small venue but easy to get to, plenty of street (free after 6pm and weekends) and garage parking (paid). The event was general admission. I felt like I could get a good view of the stage and get as close as I wanted. The sound was good and not too loud. I don't drink but the bar seemed like it may have everything you would want. The bar is in a room off to the side. I enjoyed the experience.

My band “Heroes Unsung” played at bright box last night. On a Thursday night we had an awesome crowd and we were taken care of as a band Bright box is what a venue should be 10/10 would play there again
Garrett G — Google review
The atmosphere is perfect and the waitstaff is pretty on point. But, and I cannot stress this enough, eat somewhere else first! This is unfortunate since you need to be there so early to get your choice of seating. Their tortilla chips were stale and flavorless and the incredibly small portion of salsa provided was as bland as it gets. The "cheese dip" provided with the pretzel is inferior to Sheetz's, imo, and the pretzel seems fresher there too. The sandwiches, though, are basic but serviceable!

This one has all the bells and whistles including but not limited to pool, pond, streams, disc golf, pickleball courts, tennis courts, community center, ball fields, soccer fields, horse shoe pits, playgrounds and more. Extremely clean and well maintained. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

Indoor and outdoor pool is nice. Outdoor pool could use a few more tables with umbrellas or just shade in general. The park and shelters are nice and the walking trails are fun for all ages. I’ve been to the trail and dog park. The trail is paved so it’s ADA compliant. The grounds are well maintained. There’s a lot to be discovered there. Among their many sports venues they have a pickleball court! Will definitely go there again.

1. Sports & Recreation Facilities - Baseball & softball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts - Indoor rec center and outdoor pool (seasonal) - Disc golf course and skate park available 2. Walking & Biking Trails - Multiple trails through wooded areas and open fields - Great for exercise, dog walking, or peaceful strolls 3. Playgrounds & Family Areas - Several play structures for kids - Picnic shelters with grills for gatherings or birthday parties

So twice the park people have been shutting the gates and almost locked me and other people in the park before they close. Today at 8pm they were locking the gates when online it says 930 close. Also in the middle by the baseball fields there's been condoms just laying around for over a week and no one has cleaned them up. Not in the middle of the field it was right by the pavilions ... I also saw a dude on a lawn mower mow around an empty chip bag, mow half the field and then just leave because of a stick in his way. Why can't they clean up their trash. They get paid right? Other than that actual patrons have been friendly but apparently the workers don't get paid enough to do their jobs...

The remains of a British fortress constructed in the 18th century under the guidance of George Washington can be found at Fort Loudoun Historic Site. This significant site was built during the French and Indian War, serving as Col. Washington's central command post for the Virginia Regiment and a defensive line stretching from the Potomac River to North Carolina. With an array of artillery totaling 24 pieces, this fort safeguarded and overlooked the nearby community.
“In 1756, during the French and Indian War, Col. George Washington proposed, designed, and supervised construction of the largest and most formidable fort on Virginia's colonial frontier. Equipped with 24 pieces of artillery, the fort served as Col. Washington's command center for the Virginia Regiment and a chain of defenses that extended from the Potomac River to the North Carolina border. Situated on the high ground north of town, the fort overlooked and protected the developing community. Directly behind this marker is the fort's surviving well dug through 103 feet of solid limestone.” -Virginia Historical Marker

We stopped by while on our NJ Revolutionary adventures. It was a quick stop. It is the site of George Washington’s regimental headquarters during the French and Indian War. One can take a self guided tour, or from the foundation during May to October.

Beautiful architecture for yet another Virginia historic site. Thankfully, they're well preserved and hopefully always will be.
Tara T — Google review
There really isn't much to see here. The signs are interesting and they tell a little about it. They speak of Washington digging a well but don't really say where it is. I didn't arrange for a tour but that might help.

Visit to see George Washington’s fort to defend the first frontier of America. Great guide named David. Have to make arrangements for a private tour but can follow along with cell phone tour. Little museum with artifacts, books and maps open by appointment. The original hand dug well remains which is the focal point of visible history with an outline of the fort walls.

Great historic site to visit if you're in town
Maria C — Google review
Aside from the historical markers and the paint on the street and sidewalks showing portions of some of the forts outline there isn't much to see. However once you look closer at the terrain and engage your imagination you can clearly understand why the fort was placed in this commanding location. Well worth a quick stop to view this location.
Jonathan H — Google review
There is not much to see here. There is a plaque that gives you information and lines that show where the fort extended out too, but now this is someone's house. They were understand and helpful but there isn't much to see.

Fantastic museum tour of the cottages items and architecture!! Though small in size, its PACKED with such incredible artifacts related to Jackson and rare flags! Our tour guide was very informative and friendly and is an absolute must if youre visiting Winchester! Photos are allowed but no touching

Great experience, beautifully preserved home and tour guide was very knowledgeable and interacted well with our group. Tour was a bit longer than expected, but lits of great information! Tour is maybe not idea for children under 10yrs as they may become bored & are unable to touch things. Home & grounds are not stroller or handicap accessible. Off street parking was convenient, we stopped on a Thursday.

Our tour guide was WONDERFUL! She was so informative and took a lot of time with us. She provided a wealth of information and made the tour very interesting! This hidden gem is worth the trip! I didn’t catch her name, but she was the red haired lady. She was also very kind and considerate to my sister who was visually impaired.

I have never rated a tour before even though I've been on many all over the world. This little quaint unsuspecting museum house that I thought was going to be a novelty site had the most passionate, genuine, knowledgeable tour guide I've ever had. Toby deserves all the credit in the world. I went expecting to learn a little about the house and see some artifacts, I left with a beautiful picture of the town, it's people, the war, politics etc. Fantastic tour guide. 👏
Ibrahim Q — Google review
The tour guide, Reba, was extremely entertaining and very knowledgeable about the house which made the experience memorable! The preservation of the objects are very well maintained, especially the historical significance of the flags showcased in the museum. I would highly recommend going to this museum!! Everyone who works here is super friendly and loves history, which is shown through their work on the museum. 10/10!

Amazing historical place to visit. Just outside of the main historical area in Winchester, the unassuming house hold large amounts of history. The tour last about 45 minutes and worth every penny. Tour guide it friendly, entertaining and quite knowledgeable. There was so much to learn about this place and its role in the war. Make this a stop if you can.

Abram's Delight, a historic gem nestled in Winchester, Virginia, is the city's oldest house, dating back to 1754. Originally constructed by Isaac Hollingsworth, this charming stone home showcases the architectural style of Scotch-Irish settlers who first inhabited the Shenandoah Valley. The property also features an earlier log cabin built by Abraham Hollingsworth in 1728. For nearly two centuries, five generations of the Hollingsworth family called this place home.
The tour was amazing and the tour guide was awesome. They really know the history behind this beautiful place. Highly recommend if ur a history nerd.

We arrived as they opened, no wait for the tour, we were a group of 5 with an infant. Tour guide was from the area, knowledgeable and friendly. House is in great condition for it's age, neat experience. You can bundle tickets for Abram's Delight, Washington's Office & Stonewall Jackson's home to save some money and all are within a few miles.

Would definitely recommend stopping by here. The tour guide was great and you can tell she was passionate about the family that lived in the house. She pointed out the items that are original to the house and the others that are from the time period but was not original to the house. She spent time on each section and was also asking questions to us about our knowledge so she can continue to learn as well( I have a BA in History).

Don't judge a book by its cover, I thought as the tour finished. I wasn't really excited about going on the tour, but then was so fascinated by the knowledge of our tour guide and the history of this landmark!! Definitely worth the $6 it costs to get in. We weren't allowed to take any pictures inside, understandably so. The location is right next to the cute visitors center.

The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is a lively 10-day event held in Winchester, usually at the end of April and beginning of May. Drawing over 250,000 visitors annually, it features a variety of activities such as the Old Town Wine & Fine Arts Festival, parades, sports events, parties, and dances. The festival celebrates Winchester's agricultural heritage and offers an array of food and drink options from stalls and restaurants.
I do parade escorts of local celebrities as a volunteer. It's a fun experience.
Pamela M — Google review
I didn't attend the parade or any of the other festivities, but the rides were super cool, and there were a lot more than I had expected. The way to get tickets was a little annoying because it was a self service machine 🙄 and if you had never used one before you didn't really have anyone to explain how to use it and there weren't very many directions. But overall, the rides were super fun.
Stephanie C — Google review
The worst of 15 years coming to apple blossom, first of all it looks like the south of the border 😔 and I'm Hispanic but it was too much. Expensive as hell, 5$ to get in, plus 40$ for the wristband "that was ok" but they charge 2$ extra for the service fee because now you pay at a ATM to them go to a stand to get your wristband, on Tuesday it said admission was free and wristband for 35 with 3 free games, that was a lie, it was full admission, the site says something and when you get here it's a different story. I wish I could give -0. I'm really disappointed with apple blossom this year, the only good thing we had and you guys, the mayor or whoever did this changes should be fire.. Thanks God today is the last day.
Geremias N — Google review
Midway: needs to move or something needs to change. Reason: 1. Line cutting, I spent $35 a person for rides, rode 4 rides in 4hrs. Purchase tickets, group of teenagers would have one or two friends wait in line. And then as the line got close, would bring over at least 8-10 friends. Riding rides: see above for purchase tickets. Either be able to report line cutting and ban. Or do what all parks are doing, after 4pm Teenagers must have an adult with them.

Polka Dot Pot is a delightful place where you can unleash your creativity by painting a variety of pottery items. The selection is extensive, catering to both young children and those seeking more intricate pieces. The staff strikes the perfect balance between being helpful and allowing visitors to enjoy their family moments. In addition to ceramic art projects, there are non-ceramic options available as well. The pricing is reasonable, making it an affordable and enjoyable experience for all.
We decided to come in for a fun weekend activity. The person working was kind, funny, and very knowledgeable! She helped us determine what colors would work best together whenever they are fired. We had a great time creating our pieces and will be back to do more. We highly recommend this if you are looking for something to do!
Haden M — Google review
This place is honestly a blast! To say I got lost in time would be an understatement. Polka Dot Pot's selection of paintable items was vast compared to many similar places. So vast, in fact, it took me over 20 minutes just to decide on a piece to paint. They have pieces perfect for young children and pieces so detailed that you can easily get lost in the process for hours. I selected a 'simpler' item and ended up spending over 2 hours until closing, finishing up my piece(hence the uncompleted mushroom). The staff were friendly, not overbearing, and really just left us to our own devices. 10/10 would recommend and will be here again. Edit: Added my finished piece after glazing. My piece was not ready when I went to pick it up, as I was told. However, I understand that they have been very busy and delays are to be expected.

I went here with my friends and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone there was so nice and they had a wide range of different things you can paint. I think everything was very reasonably priced, it wasn't expensive at all. I'd definitely come back in the future!

Brought the kids here for Father's Day. It worked out really well. The variety of pottery to paint is huge. Some functional, some silly, all wonderful. The staff was that perfect balance of helpful when we needed it, and distant enough to let us enjoy a family moment. They also have a lot of non-ceramic art projects you can do, so I'm sure I'll be coming back here for wonderfully keepsakes. Took about a week for the glazed items to get fired, and be ready for pickup. Very conveniently located on the walking mall in old town Winchester. Great to grab lunch, and then go get artistic!

"The Monument" is a unique and historic venue located in Winchester. It used to be an old bank, which explains the presence of an old vault inside the building. The interior is beautifully designed with a second floor that offers additional seating and a view of the live band from above. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that the venue is well-maintained throughout events. With its open layout, guests can enjoy great views of the stage from both floors.
One of best venues in the area. The wide variety of music and ambience makes this place really pop. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff is attentive. We would definitely go back.
Frank G — Google review
One of the coolest small venues I've ever been to. Right at the end of a long walking street of restaurants and bars. Alcohol prices are actually about average for bars and no where near the cost of large venues. Can't wait to see another concert here
James P — Google review
I’ve been here twice for live music. I travel about an hour and a half from PA because they have good bands, the venue is small, ticket prices are good and I love the town of Winchester. I will say because the place is small, you really have to find the right spot to stand to get all the sound. Standing off to the left or right kind of hides the vocals a bit. I found the best sound to be upstairs right above the stage. Staff are pleasant. Parking is easy. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dining and I see they do now have a concession area.
Miss V — Google review
My husband had his company party here. I did not realize from the outside the inside would look so cool! i was told it was an old bank which is why the old vault was still in the building. We had live band that played beautifully. There is a second floor that has more seating and you can view the live band by looking over the bar height table. There is also a lounge spot on the second floor if you want some privacy. This is such a unique place for a banquet.

If you are looking for concert heaven...it's in Winchester, VA! The Monument is the definition of a intimate concert venue in a very unique setting! You get to experience amazing music with about 420 of your closest new friends with enough wiggle room to slow dance when the mood and song allows! The space is the former Virginia National Bank building. It is nestled in the heart of Old Town Winchester, and it's absolutely charming! The architecture, enormous bank vault, high ceilings and intresting use of circles in lighting that echos the arches in the windows makes this room simply magical.. especially when they turn on the massive disco ball! Let's be real... Who doesn't love a very shiney disco ball creating a universe of stars! The staff and owners..are amazing! They are passionate about music, friendly and very accommodating! You can tell they love what they do! The pride and love flows through the space! This is the cleanest concert venue I have ever been in. Complimentary bottled water! Need I say more? If you made it this far...I will! ...and you're a reading rock (or fill in your dream genre here) star! To the Red Clay Strays- Thank you for an amazing show! You gentlemen have been gone way to long! If you are ever wondering why... your moment of truth...will be worth it! Your music is a gift...pure sweet Sunshine! Thank you (and your families) for being out there on the road sharing your God given talent with the universe! You are a Stones Throw away from a CMA..and a bunch of Grammy's! Big thank you for taking the time to sign my Vinyl! Whoever the very nice gentleman was on your crew that took it back to get all the signatures ...you are an angel and that moment was the cherry on top of a perfect night! Thank you beyond words! RCS's...its not only your music that speaks of your hearts, it's also the crew around you. You are all are kind, thoughtful people quick with smiles, even after a long night and a long tour! You are loved and appreciated! Shout Outs- To my Bestie! Another show in the history books! To the guy that found a Sharpie marker for me...you are amazing for going out of your way to help my record collection dreams to come true! To the guy that took the picture of me and my bestie commemorating this momentous concert when we were awkwardly failing.... Your are the best! It was so thoughtful of you take a moment out of your concert experience to capture ours! Thank you! To the couple getting married that are from Winchester that just so happen to pick Wondering Why as there wedding song, then find out that the band playing it was going to be in town...all the best to you! Live in love... hold hands...and kiss a lot! To my fellow "Clay Heads"/un-official central PA RCS fan club that were taking up the whole stage left section of the club...it was amazing getting to see y'all again after meeting in Harrisburg! I am sure our journeys will lead us back together again! Best part..there are more magic moments! I could go on forever! The Monument... Amazing Show..Amazing Venue..Amazing People! Old Town Splash Pad is a popular spot for families, located right on the walking mall with plenty of dining options and local shops nearby. It's a free attraction that provides a fun and safe environment for kids to cool down during hot summer months. While it can get busy, arriving early can help beat the crowds. The area offers benches for parents to relax while watching their children enjoy the splash pad. Additionally, there are clean public restrooms available, although they require coins for access.
Great place to go downtown do some shopping and use as an incentive for your kids to do well-to-do afterwards. Only thing is you need a quarter for the bathroom which in this day and age is hard sometimes as we used cards more than we do cash. Never seen much trash always clean.
