The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is a cultural gem in the region, offering a diverse range of attractions for visitors. The museum features an extensive collection of 18th-century art, including decorative arts and fine art from Europe and America. Additionally, it houses a captivating assortment of miniature houses and rooms. One of its current highlights is the Steinlen: Cats exhibition, showcasing the work of artist Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen.
Wonderful museum rich in local history of the Shenandoah Valley. There are seasonal and annual art exhibits along with manicured gardens to explore. The 90 acres boasts more than 3 miles of walking trails and wildlife to explore. Prices are very reasonable at $25 per adult, $17 for seniors and $12 for students. Children under 12 are free. There are incredible artifacts from the early periods of the 1800s and history from earlier periods. There is a nice gift shop and bathrooms and the staff was wonderful and helpful. Great place to spend at least an hour or two inside and up to 3-4 hours walking the grounds. Highly recommend.

I’ve lived in Northern VA for decades, but was unaware of the museum until a friend recently recommended it. The museum is excellent, the grounds are beautiful, and Glen Burnie house was very cool. We will definitely be recommending it as a fun day trip from the DC area!
Bea R — Google review
A++ what a gem. Definitely recommending to everyone because there is so much art/history inside, in addition to serene/well-marked ADA trails outside. Beautiful sculptures and birds around (couple deer too). I may have gotten lucky: on a lightly-drizzle rain Saturday it wasn’t very busy and patrons were super respectful/quiet. I’ll be back soon, many thanks to all involved 🙏

Absolutely love this place. Every time we've went they have had different spotlight on the arts. Last time was metal dinosaurs sculptures. Just amazing! Well worth the money. Buy online for a few dollars discount. Great on cooler days.
Pamela F — Google review
Small but very well curated museum with exhibits in history, flora, fauna, as well as temporary exhibits. They had Frida Calho when we visited. The gardens are also very well kept, and they had art installations. The top of the hill has a view. The pretty cows were a plus. But don't feed them!
Nizar F — Google review
This museum is AWESOME! If you have a chance to visit don't miss it. The historic house and gardens are also fantastic in addition to the museum proper. Plan to spend the day. Also check their website for special events and free days if you are on a budget. I just attended a concert in the drawing room this past weekend and can say that if you love live chamber music preformed by top rate musicians don't miss the chance to attend one of the next concerts offered this season on the MSV events website. A truly sublime experience!

Recently my husband and I have really started to enjoy going to museums and historical homes and gardens. Coming to visit Winchester this was a must see for us. The cost of admission also covered seeing the house and gardens. There are a few exhibits in the museum photography is not allowed but many areas you can. The house had a few rooms to walk thru on the main floor but really the gardens and walking areas were amazing! We were there late October so the gardens were not full bloom but no less beautiful of a place.
Lisa M — Google review
We have been members for years. We love the MSV!! We always bring out of town family when they come to visit. We especially love the gardens and the outdoor exhibits. The annual Christmas card and other mailings we receive through the year is a nice personal touch.

The Patsy Cline Historic House is a modest 2-story family home in Winchester, Virginia, where the legendary country music singer lived from 1948 to 1953. The Greek revival home has been transformed into a museum dedicated to her life and career. Visitors can explore the preserved residence and learn about her journey to stardom through guided tours or a self-guided driving tour of other significant locations associated with Patsy Cline in Winchester.
I make an annual trip to an event that is near Winchester and last year found out that this was where Patsy Cline was from! We built in some extra time this year so we could visit the historic house. The tour was really great and definitely learned more about her life. Nice little gift shop inside, glad to support the local efforts to keep her history alive! Tour was about 30 minutes, all inside. Nice porch to sit and wait on if there's a tour already going on, no need to book ahead. There are some steep stairs to get to the second floor to see the bedroom, but otherwise all pretty accessible. I was driving my RV so I had to park on the Main Street and it was about an 8 minute walk, with some hills but no problem. My friend and I really enjoyed the history! Last photo posts directions to the cemetery where she's buried, not too far away.
Sandy A — Google review
I had a drs appointment and this gem was a mile away. What can one say? It's Patsy's old home! Originally a log cabin and upgraded by her mother throughout the years. Beautiful pine floors and I love how they have her original items throughout the home. The tour is 30 minutes and the fee for that is $8 dollars. It's in a community and off street parking is limited since it's a populated neighborhood. There is no video to be allowed but you may take pictures. No restroom available but it does have a small gift shop. The tour gives a walk through time and space experience. It's like you think, I'm in Patsy's old home. Her mother had turned the home into a rental for some time but then it became a visitor attraction. Highly recommend! You can't help but sing along as her music is played shortly during the tour. Steep stairs so hang on. No where to sit so wear comfortable shoes.
Maria Q — Google review
Thirty minute tour worth the money very interesting history
Joe F — Google review
Rang the doorbell to Patsy's house and got a guided tour from Laurel, who was so incredibly personable that it felt like we were friends just moments after meeting. Laurel was very knowledgeable about Patsy's life and career, easily answering all of our questions. Next door to the house is a walkway and overlook with a Patsy cutout ready for a photo. Anyone crazy about Patsy Cline should go walkin' up to this place, but not after midnight because they're only open from 10-4pm.
Jon R — Google review
I happened to find out about an event here through Facebook and detoured through Winchester to check it out. The house is tiny but it was a wonderful experience. The volunteers were so pleasant and knowledgeable. I got to chat with a few Patsy fans and they really were great people. There is no parking lot, the house is literally in a neighborhood so street parking but there was plenty and it’s walkable if you are in town. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area. I hear they do a big event in September and block off a couple streets - it sounded fun!
Miss V — Google review
I loved the tour...the ladies were very knowledgeable. It was very cool to see pictures of her and her family and hear stories of her childhood. The tour guide even met Pasty when she was 16 working at a soda shop. We even went to the grave site after. I really enjoyed it!

Grew up listening to Patsy Cline's music. Tour guide very informative. So glad we decided to take the tour.

Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum is an indoor family attraction that offers interactive science and cultural education alongside play opportunities for children. The museum boasts four floors of educational fun at a very reasonable price, offering classic children's museum activities such as big building blocks, fish and frogs exhibits, and water engineering adventures. Visitors can also enjoy unique experiences like a functioning beehive, optical illusions, and musical instruments on the roof.
Took my 3 year old for the first time on a Thursday morning. It was the perfect time! I assume it is probably really busy during the weekend. We were there for two hours and we both really enjoyed our time together there. The best part is definitely the first and second floor. There is a lot to do! It’s kept very clean. The third level was not too interesting for us and the fourth level doesn’t have much. I definitely recommend it and will be continuing to visit!!
Jenny C — Google review
So glad we stopped in. This children’s museum was so much fun. My children played for 2 1/2 straight and would have stayed longer! They have such a wide variety of play options appealing to all ages. The water feature was especially well done. Professional, friendly, clean, and fun! We will definitely be returning and highly recommend checking it out!
Alexi D — Google review
I took my 5-year-old son to this children’s museum, and it was a fantastic experience! The exhibits were stimulating, engaging, and designed to spark curiosity and imagination. He loved exploring the hands-on activities, and it was wonderful to see him learning while having so much fun. The museum provides a perfect mix of education and entertainment, making it a great place for kids to explore their creativity. The staff was friendly, and the environment was clean and safe. Highly recommend this spot for families looking for an enriching and fun outing!

What a great place to go to spend the day or a few hours. The Virginia Farm Market exhibit was great to see with the cow and horse. I did like the Bee hive as well.
Marie L — Google review
Such a fun, interactive place for kids of all ages! My 11 year old and teen had fun playing around with our toddler. There are 4 levels of educational, hands-on fun. We plan to come back soon!
Jessica Z — Google review
The older lady at the counter is the best. She talked with our grandson about his first visit. Even though he could have cared less. She took the time. Thanks for a great visit. He loved the water table.
Jenye K — Google review
This is an amazing place for children, there are plenty of things for them to discover and play with. There are 4 floors of activities and plenty to do including an outdoor play area on the roof! Rest rooms on every floor, an elevator too. Parking is right next door or on the street and access is easy. You won't be disappointed by going here.
Paul D — Google review
Very fun place to take the kids with more than enough to keep them occupied for at least 2 hours. There are 4 floors, with one being the roof with musical instruments. On a nice day, the rooftop is a great place to be. To get from floor to floor, you can take an elevator or take steps and let them burn more energy. The type things for my kids was the be hive they had through the window, the slide, and the musical instrument's. All in all, for the price that you are paying, you are getting a great hands-on way for your kids to spend their time.

George Washington's Office, located in Winchester, VA, is a historic log cabin that served as President George Washington's military office during the 18th century. The museum houses period artifacts and offers a unique glimpse into Washington's life. Visitors can explore the building where strategic plans were made during the French and Indian War and view personal items belonging to George Washington. Additionally, the grounds feature an impressive cannon left by General Edward Braddock.
Really fun museum! It's a short visit. But definitely do the tour. The guy who did our tour was super enthusiastic and gave us a lot of information. He even plays George Washington in a movie! Can definitely recommend going here, worth it. Fun fact, the oldest item in the museum is a Dutch vase.
Kirsten V — Google review
Very nice, the lady was very nice wish we had time to have a tour with her
Ba J — Google review
I would go again, a great opportunity to stand where George Washington stood, to touch what he touched, to have a wonderful tour guide, thoroughly explain with such ease and understandable delivery of the pieces of history was a delight, I would go again and bring more guests if the opportunity ever arose.
Shashoni — Google review
The information Cathy shared about the history of the office and Washington was interesting. We enjoyed listening to her and I can tell she's very passionate about sharing history. It amazes me how small the place was and how many people lived there after it was sold to a family. It was worth going and seeing how people worked and lived. The picture that I shared only the middle part is what George Washington worked in. Later it was extended on both side.
M R — Google review
It’s very interesting to learn about a young George Washington. As a teenager he became a surveyor in western Virginia. He was active in politics in Winchester. This small museum has many rare artifacts of Washington’s life here. Worth a stop for everyone. We visited this museum in the early 1990’s and glad we came back. Worth reinforcing our memory of the first US President that risked his life for us all.
RV T — Google review
Stopped by for some American history. What a wonderful experience. Loved the way were told the story of George Washingtons life. I highly recommend stopping by.

This is an amazing little museum. Definitely worth the stop. Cathy our tour guide was amazing. She gave us a very personal tour and I learned a lot about George Washington and his life. This place is so under rated. If you are ever in Winchester you need to stop by here. Admission is also under 10$ which makes it a great value as well! I loved it.

Bright Box Theater is a lively performance and event space located in the Loudoun Pedestrian Mall at the heart of Winchester. Since its opening in May 2013, it has become a central hub for locals and tourists, hosting a wide range of performances including drag shows, jazz, punk, reggae, rock, comedy acts, jam bands, and themed private parties.
We rented the entire Bright Box in gorgeous Winchester VA for our wedding. The venue provided a unique yet eloquent tone for our special day. It was especially convenient to have Catering, DJ, and media all wrapped into one venue. Nick (Bright Box event coordinator) and the rest of the Bright Box staff were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful during our day. Nick worked very well with our Day of Coordinator to ensure all needs provided by the Bright Box were met promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bright Box for our wedding. Having both the downstairs for our ceremony and dance floor coupled with the upstairs for cocktail hour, pictures, and a quite talking place away from the music made our day complete and provided great flexibility for our guests. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with our guests on an amazing weather day. Thank you Nick & Bright Box for an amazing day, we're looking forward to checking out a show for our anniversary!
James M — Google review
We came here in mid-April to see Them Dirty Roses. This was my first time at this venue. I bought general admission tickets online the day before the show through eventbrite. The show ended up being sold out. My online research told me it was under 300 person capacity so I had an idea of what I was getting into as far as general admission and it being packed. When you walk in, you pass by a room in the front and go down a hallway to the bar area. That was packed. Women’s restrooms are beside the bar. Pass through this room to the back where the stage is located. It was pretty packed in that room when we got there. We missed the first opening act but caught the second opening band. The men’s restroom is in the back of this room. I was expecting the stage to be at the back but it was on the side of the room which ended up being good positioning - allowing people to stand directly in front of the stage but also off to the sides and still get a good view. The sound was good - better than I was expecting for such a small place. We weren’t elbow to elbow, but it was pretty tight. We stood stage left and had room to move around a bit. Some men trying to get through to the bathroom shoved their way there unnecessarily but nothing to cause any issues. Someone making announcement before the band came out said if you have too much to drink find a Brightbox staff member and they will get you an Uber. I thought that was nice. People were singing along and hooting and hollering. It was obvious they really liked the band which I think is cool and I am sure the band loves that. Ticket prices were great. We parked on the street a couple blocks away - parking was free on the weekend. We saw a mine to get in as we arrived but we went and had a drink and ate first so by the time we got to the door, there was no line. As I said, we did miss the first opening act but that was fine with us. We had an overall good experience. I’d say, for a small venue, this is a good place to see a show.
Miss V — Google review
Came here for the “Halloween Who Did It Show. What fun!! The show was very interesting, the staff were great. Our drinks from the bar were good. The food could have been better.
Barbara T — Google review
This is a nice spot. Good view over the river. The food was excellent. Obviously made in house, everything was delicious. Crab prices were high, especially for this time of year (but they were selling them) so opted for other items. Clam strips were awesome! Soft shells were very good as well. The non fried crab cake is excellent. Fried version not so much. Not even comparable.
Greg N — Google review
I was able to see a national act for less than $40. Easy ticket purchase online. Small venue but easy to get to, plenty of street (free after 6pm and weekends) and garage parking (paid). The event was general admission. I felt like I could get a good view of the stage and get as close as I wanted. The sound was good and not too loud. I don't drink but the bar seemed like it may have everything you would want. The bar is in a room off to the side. I enjoyed the experience.

Great experience, beautifully preserved home and tour guide was very knowledgeable and interacted well with our group. Tour was a bit longer than expected, but lits of great information! Tour is maybe not idea for children under 10yrs as they may become bored & are unable to touch things. Home & grounds are not stroller or handicap accessible. Off street parking was convenient, we stopped on a Thursday.

I have never rated a tour before even though I've been on many all over the world. This little quaint unsuspecting museum house that I thought was going to be a novelty site had the most passionate, genuine, knowledgeable tour guide I've ever had. Toby deserves all the credit in the world. I went expecting to learn a little about the house and see some artifacts, I left with a beautiful picture of the town, it's people, the war, politics etc. Fantastic tour guide. 👏

The tour guide, Reba, was extremely entertaining and very knowledgeable about the house which made the experience memorable! The preservation of the objects are very well maintained, especially the historical significance of the flags showcased in the museum. I would highly recommend going to this museum!! Everyone who works here is super friendly and loves history, which is shown through their work on the museum. 10/10!

Mount Hebron Cemetery in Winchester is the oldest public cemetery in town, with over 30,000 gravesites dating back to the 18th century. It comprises four parts and is home to notable Winchester residents' graves and Virginia governors. Adjacent to it lies the Winchester National Cemetery, a final resting place for Union Soldiers with gravesites and monuments dedicated to Civil War battles.
This is a very beautiful cemetery, although it’s right in the middle of Winchester, it’s a quiet and peaceful location. It also is well kept and is a nice place to take a walk.
Aidan — Google review
Stonewall Confederate Cemetery is a subsection of the larger Mount Hebron Cemetery. Final resting place of countless Confederate soldiers, many of whom were buried in mass unmarked graves here. A lot of beautiful and one of a kind monuments and memorials. Lots of history in this cemetery in general, including the gravesites of Judge John Handley and Revolutionary War hero, Daniel Morgan. If you are interested in history, this is an excellent cemetery to visit.

It really is humbling to be around such ancestral history. Beautiful place. With the winter snow on the ground, barren trees and foreboding overcast sky. Magnificent!!

Great walk, closes at 6pm, so no summer sunset photos, bummer. Very large, bring water. No paper maps to pick up, but you can go in the welcome center ans take a photo of the map. Very useful map, to find some of the sections and monuments.

It’s pretty dark in here… but the coffins they picked out for me is very comfortable and provides top quality sleep. The family time I’ve been having has been amazing but relatives seem to be people of few words.

My husband was a decorated vietnam war vet who passed away last November. Everything in relation to items on front end of the burial plot with mt hebrin seemed to go well. I orered his grave stone in march and was told it would be here in 3 months . I was also told until his permanent grave marker came they would put a temporary one there. Months later i go to grave no temporary marker there... i had to go in office ask why it wasnt there only way we found grave was we knew location and no grass had yet been even sowed. They did react and get temporary marker on grave . My son just called today to see status no grave stone yet we are at 7 months now with not even a phone call to me to let me know whats going on! A lady named Betsy called me late in day...she said grave marker should be here in October.. i was furious, somesone should have had courtesy to contact me on this. ReallR, Really a grave marker in 11 months in another month he will have been dead a year! I find this very disrespectful to my husband in view of his military contribution and upsetting and disrespectful to the family, especially since no temp marker was originally placed and no calls were made from cemetery to me on the status of the stone.. thank you so much for your service Sgt Link. We will get your stone there and then again we might not .I dont complain on public media ever but this is most disrespectful tretment and to top it off betsy didnt seem to worried, because she didnt even say let me let you speak to my boss. Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Winchester, Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum offers a captivating glimpse into a tumultuous past. Housed within the historic Frederick County Courthouse—an impressive Greek Revival structure built in 1840—the museum showcases over 3,000 artifacts from the Civil War era.
Five stars for Cody, one of the volunteers. Not a guided tour, but he was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about history and able to answer our many questions. Museum itself is a bit small for admission price but for anyone interested in this time period I would still recommend it.

Excellent museum with both guided presentations in the courthouse and self guided on the upper level. You can see actual graffiti from solders uncovered behind the walls. Plenty of great information here and plenty to see. We spend a couple of hours here.

Handley Regional Library, named after Judge John Handley, is a stunning architectural gem in Winchester. Built in 1913 to resemble an open book, the library's exterior is a picturesque addition to the downtown area. Visitors can admire the stained-glass rotunda inside and appreciate its Beaux-Arts Classicism style. The library also offers free guided tours on the second Saturday of every month and hosts musical performances by Shenandoah University Jazz band on the second Friday of each month.
I visited this library in Winchester on Columbus Day, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it open! The building is really beautiful, and the details in the architecture are amazing. Inside, the dome and the staircase caught my eye—they're just stunning. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. Since they knew I was a tourist, they shared some cool history about the library, which I really appreciated. It's right next to downtown, so if you're in Winchester, definitely take a moment to check it out. It's worth the stop!
Matilde C — Google review
The children’s programs and staff here are fantastic! The staff are engaging and resourceful, always enacting ways and programs to make the library more family inclusive. The story times are educational and fun. They have great toys to play with and bags you can check out to take the reading and play home with you.

Stopped in town on the way back home to Ohio to just walk the streets of this quaint town. Came across this Library and was immediately intrigued by it's architecture and had to go in and see what the inside looked like. Was happily surprised we could do a self-guided walking tour and view the amazing stained glass dome and spiral staircases! What neat architecture and history!!!
Pauline S — Google review
This incredible historic library was completed in 1913 in the Architectural style of Beaux Arts, which was built as a library and has functioned as such ever since. It offers 4 floors filled with books and history and holds various workshops, readings, kids festivals and activities, and even offers tours of the historic library and its rich history. With weekly and monthly events, there is always something to do in this truly unique and historic library. Come for the architecture and history and stay for great reading material along with online resources and even a workshop on family lineage and history. This is a must stop visit if you are in Historic Winchester Virginia! Ps. - This place offers amazing workshops and story times/activities for children of all ages!

They always have fun stuff to build in the youth section. Very easy to pick holds and then just pick them. Large pink books available too
Mary W — Google review
One of the best examples of Beaux-Arts architecture in Virginia is in Winchester at Handley Regional Library. Built in 1913 thanks to the funds of a coal magnate's fortune, the library's green dome can be seen throughout the town. For its first 40 years, the library was segregated, but now all are welcome every day of the week except for Sunday when they close. Park along the street nearby and walk through old wooden doors into the lobby where you can climb spiraling staircases to the second and third floors and gaze up into the majestic dome. They have all the usual sections, including a generous magazine section. They also have study rooms and desk with outlets to recharge or browse a computer. The staff are very helpful and friendly. While visiting for 30 minutes, I noticed many men experiencing homelessness keeping warm in the library. Multiple staff members seemed to know each by name and treated them with dignity.
Austin G — Google review
I came in just to get a library card today and was stunned at the beautiful architecture of this building. I ended up extending my parking meter just so I could tour the building (free informative papers at the front will guide you through the building with detailed credits to each painting and donation, and they also offer free guided tours every second Saturday of the month!) Little details to be found in every nook and cranny, and the staff was so friendly and helpful as I walked through each area. Somebody takes excellent care of the live plants in this building as well. It's winter now, but outside the garden area looks like it will be beautiful in the spring. I encourage everyone to spend just an hour of your time appreciating the beauty of this place (and maybe check out a book or two), a free service open to the public.

The old town is a nice pedestrianised street. It’s a real mixture of historical buildings and then some basic 70’s looking shops. Feel like this place has a lot of potential to become something special, especially with the history it has. There are a decent amount of restaurants and shops. However, when we visited a lot was closed and there were a fair amount of homeless people hanging around.

Old Town Winchester is a fantastic place to spend the day (or weekend)! It’s full of charm, with cool shops, great restaurants, and plenty of unique bars to check out. Live music fills the streets, and the historic buildings give the whole area a timeless feel. It’s walkable, family-friendly, and feels very safe-everyone just seems to be having a great time. One of the coolest parts? You can even visit George Washington’s actual office! If you love history, good food, and a fun atmosphere, this place is a must-visit.

I visited Old Town Winchester after driving about an hour to get there. While the area is charming, I was a little disappointed with the experience. The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is a lively 10-day event held in Winchester, usually at the end of April and beginning of May. Drawing over 250,000 visitors annually, it features a variety of activities such as the Old Town Wine & Fine Arts Festival, parades, sports events, parties, and dances. The festival celebrates Winchester's agricultural heritage and offers an array of food and drink options from stalls and restaurants.
I do parade escorts of local celebrities as a volunteer. It's a fun experience.
Pamela M — Google review
I didn't attend the parade or any of the other festivities, but the rides were super cool, and there were a lot more than I had expected. The way to get tickets was a little annoying because it was a self service machine 🙄 and if you had never used one before you didn't really have anyone to explain how to use it and there weren't very many directions. But overall, the rides were super fun.
Stephanie C — Google review
The worst of 15 years coming to apple blossom, first of all it looks like the south of the border 😔 and I'm Hispanic but it was too much. Expensive as hell, 5$ to get in, plus 40$ for the wristband "that was ok" but they charge 2$ extra for the service fee because now you pay at a ATM to them go to a stand to get your wristband, on Tuesday it said admission was free and wristband for 35 with 3 free games, that was a lie, it was full admission, the site says something and when you get here it's a different story. I wish I could give -0. I'm really disappointed with apple blossom this year, the only good thing we had and you guys, the mayor or whoever did this changes should be fire.. Thanks God today is the last day.

Midway: needs to move or something needs to change. Reason: 1. Line cutting, I spent $35 a person for rides, rode 4 rides in 4hrs. Purchase tickets, group of teenagers would have one or two friends wait in line. And then as the line got close, would bring over at least 8-10 friends. Riding rides: see above for purchase tickets. Either be able to report line cutting and ban. Or do what all parks are doing, after 4pm Teenagers must have an adult with them.

Bonnie Blue Southern Market & Bakery is a charming eatery located in Winchester, housed in a converted gas station from 1920. This American barbecue restaurant offers a delectable menu featuring Southern cuisine favorites such as slow-smoked pulled pork, Carolina slaw, fried oysters, and local apples. The establishment prides itself on using locally sourced meat and fresh produce to create their dishes.
True Southern hospitality they weren’t even open yet and they said sit down. I’ll give you a cup of coffee. Incredible waitress, very caring made strong recommendations of what they were good at and have you ever had a crabcake that’s a size of a pancake that’s what I had on my eggs Benedict this morning. They made their own bread that’s so tasty and it was so much food. We couldn’t even finish it so we had to take our yummy potatoes home. We look forward to trying our cinnamon roll. It is a big location, but it was filling up quickly this on a Saturday morning.

Myself & two friends were traveling to Boston & decided to try Bonnie Blue for lunch. A converted old gas station & it's located close to Old Town in Winchester. We had the Crab Cake, Cheeseburger & Fried Chicken Thighs(huge portion). Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. Our wonderful server was Chelsea. She was very polite, professional and just a Sweetie. For a good meal, I recommend you give them a try.....

Funky quirky BBQ place that used to be an old Esso gas station. Parking is on the street. When walking by, you can see & smell the smoker. We walked in & there is very little seating so we sat at a counter looking outside. We enjoyed the chicken salad, collard greens, potato salad, mac & cheese, & burnt ends app. All were excellent. The burnt ends sauce was Asian-like & a little too sweet for me. The owner was gracious & very nice to us. I also enjoyed some local Chardonnay. Definitely a place to check out!
Cat M — Google review
Really wanted breakfast food but arrived around 1pm on a Thursday and breakfast is done before served by 11:30am. They do all day breakfast on weekends. We went into the entrance by the parking lot which (at a quick glance) was kind of like a grungy cafe style. They directed us around to the other side through the deck. There were a couple of tables being used outside and just 2 being used inside- pretty slow which was great for us. We ordered the catfish, Mac n cheese, fried oysters.. my family got the brisket and collard greens which is prepared with pork meat. We enjoyed it all. It even comes with a bread of your choice like a biscuit or cornbread for example. The servers were all kind to us and welcoming. The food was nice and hot and tasted freshly prepared. For the 3 of us, the bill came to $68 with beverages and that extra side of 5 pieces of oysters. We gave a $20 tip. Good experience overall. Would definitely go back. Oh the “come back” sauce is yummy!
Tiffany-Nicole — Google review
Stopped by Bonnie Blue BBQ in Winchester today. I ordered half a rack of ribs with sides of cole slaw and fries. Before I finished my second bite of ribs - I looked up to the server and asked for another order – - to go! The ribs had a perfect wet saucy smokey layer and candied caramelization that stuck all around the meat and bone that was lip-smacking good! The meat was fork tender and of high quality, not fatty. The sides were also very tasty and fresh. My guest ordered shrimp n grits, but after she tasted my ribs took the shrimp n grits to go and asked to help me eat the ribs! Their parking lot only seems to hold 4 cars so it took me an extra 10 minutes to find street parking. Unless there is another parking lot and I didn’t see it. 5 stars for the food. I visited at 12 noon so the servers were very busy with the tables outside (there's lots of outside seating) and I was sitting inside. The servers were helpful and friendly. I will definitely return.

Oh my goodness. Who knew the crispiest, bread-yness, and tasty fried chicken you could ever find is at a hole in the wall in Winchester VA. I’m having dreams of their chicken and waffles since I tried it. The perfectly golden chicken, on top of a sugar waffle and a seasoned grits/ish underneath with their hot syrup was sooo divine. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating, the food came out piping hot, our mimosas were off the chain and still bubbly. I was a very happy camper. 10/10 will def be back. Get here for their chicken and waffles! They will NOT disappoint, but what is disappointing is the new standard that is now held for chicken and waffles anywhere else.

Let me tell you about Bonnie Blue Southern Market & Bakery - it’s probably my favorite fried chicken spot in the world. Each dish I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. The staff are all lovely and incredibly attentive, and everything gets prepared quickly. I tried the spicy fried chicken sandwich for the first time due to the recommendation of one of the staff, and I think it might be my new favorite food. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, the staff is great. Also, the baked goods are to die for. Overall I’m totally addicted to this place and I think everyone should come here.

Abram's Delight, a historic gem nestled in Winchester, Virginia, is the city's oldest house, dating back to 1754. Originally constructed by Isaac Hollingsworth, this charming stone home showcases the architectural style of Scotch-Irish settlers who first inhabited the Shenandoah Valley. The property also features an earlier log cabin built by Abraham Hollingsworth in 1728. For nearly two centuries, five generations of the Hollingsworth family called this place home.

I highly recommend a tour from their guide, Mike. He is extremely knowledgeable about the battles and the area. He gives personalized tours based on your interests, including a ghost tour, the Battle of Kernstown, personal stories of those who lived the Battle and many others. Ask him any question and he'll know the answer! Make sure to ask him about the family's Music Book! It is on display and with all the notations within, absolutely reveals the Owner! He let us look at the display case of family momentos. (Which doesn't happen too often.)He is a personable guide, with patience and a great personality! I would go back anytime!

First visit. Angela provided great service, I had the scotch eggs and the steak & chips. Food was great. My beverage was jack Daniel’s honey. I prefer American Honey

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon at the end of February while traveling. I have been here once or twice before while in town for concerts. In this occasion we sat at the bar. There weren’t too many other customers so it was pretty quiet. Other times when I have been here in the evening it has been busy. We ordered the Reuben and a salad with chicken. Both were good. I wasn’t sure if I could add chicken to the salad since it wasn’t listed on the menu. If I’d have known it was $10 just for the chicken on a $12 salad I probably would have ordered something else. I’m used to seeing $10 for shrimp but not chicken. It was fine tho, just noting here so others are aware. The apples on that salad were pretty tasty and I liked the dressing. The bartender was friendly and attentive. They have a good selection of liquors and beers. Not sure if there are nearby parking lots or not but we parked on the street and walked over no problem. Winchester uses ParkMobile which is easy so that’s nice and I think it was $1.25 for an hour and a half. Like I said earlier, I’ve been here a couple times. I’ll probably go back again.

Ordered the smash burger with bacon. My wife had the shepherds pie. Both were delicious. And very well prepared. Juicy burger, fresh toppings, GREAT pub style fries. And very good onion rings. Would definitely recommend!

Fish and chips - a good deal for $22. The fish was pretty much hanging off the plate and there was a nice amount of chips. However, it was quite bland. Gave it a couple splashes of vinegar and some salt and all was well again.

It was a tale of two meals. The tuna tacos were delicious and very well prepared. The salmon burger on its own had trouble staying together - although it was tasty - but the kimchi that came on the sandwich was probably the saltiest thing I've ever been served which impacted everything it touched. The lunch service also took an exceptionally long time - which was not just our experience. At least it was a beautiful day to enjoy the patio.

Food was delicious, highly recommend the Steak & Ale Stew, Shrimp & Grits & Bangers & Mash. Good variety of beers & hard ciders as well. We were there on a trivia night & once trivia started it was a bit too loud so we left. But would definitely go back if we visit the area again.

Outstanding service and good food. Great place to go with friends. The shepherd's pie must be magic. The server set it down and moments later it disappeared! Thanks for taking care of the tired MINI drivers on the Fall Colors Run.

Roma Old Town Wood Fired Pizzeria is a lively and casual eatery located in Winchester's historic Loudoun Pedestrian Mall. It's a favorite among locals, offering a unique blend of Italian and Greek specialties alongside an impressive selection of craft beers. The restaurant prides itself on freshness, creativity, and value, with its wood-fired brick oven lending an exceptional flavor to their handcrafted pizzas. Customers rave about the flavorful pizzas like the Primo Pepperoni and the delectable wings.
The waiters here are incredibly friendly and helpful, they always checked in to see if we needed anything. They have dinner specials that sounded appetizing, and I was indecisive on what to get because everything seemed good to try. I don’t usually eat pizza because I don’t like the taste, but these ones blew me away! I could not stop stealing a slice or two from my friends, They are so delicious!

Perfect lunch spot during a hot midweek walkabout. Dropped in for the pizza and salad lunch special - which can't be beat for $10...and ended up ordering some of the very best, crunchiest onion rings I've ever eaten. Michaela provided excellent, attentive service, rounding out an overall great lunch. Couldn't have chosen better today.

We came here on a Saturday evening. We had to wait just a few minutes which gave us enough time to walk around and explore the shops and history of the area. We ordered the flaming cheese and that was cool and delicious. The Greek salad is awesome and the pizza is perfect! Thank you for the great food and service.

Wood Fire Pizza was absolutely outstanding. The drinks were really good and the pizza was top notch, full of flavor with the perfect crust. We sat outside and loved the atmosphere. The outdoor seating is right in the heart of town, which made it even more enjoyable. We had such a great time and everything from the food to the vibe was spot on. We cannot wait to visit again. This place is a must try if you are in the area.

We had a family dinner here on Sunday evening. The seating in the main restaurant was full, so they accommodated us upstairs in the beer bar, which was quite pleasant and still family friendly. The service is fast and friendly and the food delicious. The calamari was amazing, better than what I have had from some very pricy seafood joints. The pizzas are perfection. Perfect amount of toppings and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this place when you're visiting Old town Winchester or are new local like me!

Great dinner. Had the crab dip as a starter and then the baked Tuscany. Both were delicious. The mango berry sangria was savory as well. Will try the pizza next time I go back. Friendly service.

Beautiful evening in Old Town Winchester, so we happened upon Roma Old Town wood fired Pizza. What a find! My husband and I shared a Chopped Salad with BEST DRESSING . Lemon-Basil creamy vinaigrette! Absolutely DELICIOUS! We also shared the “Old Town Pizza”. Our waitress was Makayla and she was so incredible at answering our questions which helped us make our delicious choices! Makayla was very attentive and “ray of sunshine” as she waited on us! We enjoyed your outdoor patio seating on this beautiful evening. Thank you for the delicious meal and Makayla keep up the amazing service🌺 Barb V. Kent, Oh

We were a big table of 9. We were able to be accomodated upstairs, thankfully. The staff were sweet and super attentive. The pizza was wonderful. It had just the right amount of smokey wood oven flavor. Our party's pasta and steaks and fries were excellent too! We all really enjoyed our evening! When a table left their Chase stuffed animal behind, they got it back to the family that had left. We helped tell them which way they'd gone also. We were so glad to have come here!!!

A nice little spot in the walking mall for hard-serve ice cream, along with deli foods, cookies, & specialty chocolates. Service was amazing. The ice cream was so good & creamy & perfect for a hot summer day, or really any day. Apologies for the blurry photo.

2 sundaes for $17. ? A steep price for literally 3 scoops total. Maybe they need to rethink portion sizes..ice cream flavor was meh. We were hoping for rich & creamy. Location was nice though. I added a star for nice faith-filled family-oriented wall decor.
Dottygirl — Google review
This place is darling! You walk in and it has a bakery case with fresh baked cookies, and an ice cream case with lots to choose from in flavors. There is a case with chocolate and truffles. Plus you can have lunch from a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads. There is no soda fountain, which I was expecting from the look, you can only get bottled drinks from the refrigerator. They do have some gifts you can purchase. Also there is a seating area for dining. The place was clean unless you looked up and seen the ceiling fan. It was caked in black dust. The food was bland, no flavor, barely even salt and pepper to season. The lettuce on my chicken salad sandwich looked like it was fresher several days ago and I was hoping for something more with the potato soup. I thought it was a little pricey for half a sandwich, small bowl of soup and a bottled soda, which was over $13. If the quality was there it might have been worth the money. This place could become something awesome with a little bit of pizazz in the recipes and quality ingredients. The staff was great and helpful.

My milk shake was more milk than shake. Reading through reviews it appears there are many milkshake debacles similar to mine. I understand the concept of homemade and being local. But at a $9.49 price point I would not recommend.

We had the most amazing milkshakes here! My husband, son, and I all got different flavors and tried each others and each one was beyond delicious! It was a little pricey but honestly, the serving size is pretty big and they’re really thick too. Totally worth the price. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Delicious HOMEMADE ice cream! What a treat to find cinnamon flavored ice cream too - very popular in Germany. The staff were very friendly and professional and the store was well appointed and very clean. You could feel the love here. We will be back when in town!

No tasting allowed! I couldn’t decide on the ice cream flavor so I asked for a sample. The lady rudely snapped at me and informed me samples are not allowed. What?! I told the lady I was deciding between two flavors not that that matters. I found myself justifying why I the customer who was going to spend my money wanted to be happy with my choice of ice cream. She acted as if a tiny sample would put them out of business. So I left. Ridiculous business practice doesn’t rely on repeated customers. Maybe deep down they know they suck.

Great location and a very wide Open space. Was not impressed with the beer. First of all it was served to us in plastic cups. We are at a brewery, not a keg party. If we are paying 7-8 dollars for a beer it should be served in a glass. There was about 15 people so I would imagine they would have enough glasses. The 2 ipas we ordered were not for us.

Great service as always! I can't speak to the beer they brew as I've been sober for a minute but if it's anything like it used to be, the beer is awesome. That said, if you are like me and stick to the non-alcoholic section, they carry a good selection of Athletic Brewing, including some tougher to find seasonals.

Our first stop on mine and my friend’s annual girls trip was this awesome coffee shop. I got a latte with oat milk and a bit of caramel flavor and it was exactly what I needed to wake up. The service was lovely, and OH MY GOSH the record area! Such a fun place to explore, sit down and drink coffee and read a book, or meet with friends. Great selection of local artists on vinyl, as well.

This is my favorite place to have coffee, hang out, and just be. ☕️ The drinks are amazing and the pastries are delicious. I highly recommend the pop tarts! If you are grabbing something to take home, get the chocolate croissant 🥐 and gently toast in the oven for an extra flaky crust. Employees are helpful, accommodating, and some of the coolest people I have met. I highly recommend attending any events they host. I have never had a bad time at a show and always find cool items to purchase during markets. Always 5 out of 5 stars. Love me some Hopscotch.

We only got coffee (mocha lattes) to go and no food. This is a fun, different atmosphere. A large space with a very cute seating area and another huge room with record albums from so many artists! Happened to come across this place on a quick overnight trip to Winchester for a concert. I love coffee and music so this was a no-brained for me. What an awesome little place. The coffee was great. I got a chocolate muffin which was also very good. Staff were friendly. Records in the back - very cool!! Stop and check them out next time you are in the area. They are not too far from the Patsy Cline house and I hear there’s a big event on September at the house. *Side note - Google maps was showing it as closed for the day but it was open!

Great Vibe! Street parking right in front of the cafe. Anything from Lattes to chai tea. They have their own coffee, roasted just down the street. You can take out or stay in. Excellent sitting area in the records room or tables just off to the side. Plenty of space for a meet and greet. The latte I got was smooth with good flavor. Not acidic. I browsed the records while drinking and they had a great selection of unusual finds. It wasn’t the same records that you can spot everywhere. So if you are looking for a specific one you might try and spot it here. The cost was very reasonable and not overvalued for both coffee and records. I would certainly recommend this as a regular spot or just driving by.

Love the atmosphere and indoor lighting. Excellent customer service. Great to try out another local place, setting is more set up for adult drinking and date nights. Music that they play has my approval. They are very nice and friendly and I suggest don't even get any menus just ask your server and decide that way :)

Service was excellent. Our waiter was waiting tables inside and ours outside, and for as many tables that he had, food was hot, accurate and drinks were never empty. Also he kept an awesome attitude the whole time never having an issue with us asking for anything. Top notch service. Also steaks were cooked to perfection which is why we chose to dine there. Out door heaters were not acting right 😂 but the overall experience was great.

I cant quite make it of this place. I like the local, organic, no hormones, but the flavors dont play right what so ever. I wish I would have read the reviews before going on a Saturday evening with my family. I've spent good money (less than the $210 I spent tonight on five people) and had better quality service and taste. The appetizers we ordered were good. We ordered shrimp and wings. Wing sauce was amazing. Great choice of flavors in the garlic buffalo. I got the Korean BBQ brisket and ribs; the smoke flavor did not blend well at all. The BBQ had a great flavor, but not on the smoked brisket or ribs. The steak was good, but not for $48.00 ever. I get its local and hormone free, but I've had farm to table that is a lot better. Hey, I would have bought the kitchen a round of beers, but I didn't get that spark I was looking for. Will try again and hopefully have a more seasoned waiter.

What a great find! This was one of the best lunches I’ve eaten in this entire region. Sandy, the owner, and also my waitress, couldn’t have been nicer and told me all about their partnerships with local farms (pictured). I had the Green Apple Cashel Blue Cheese Burger (see picture) with the hand-cut fries. I subbed a house salad (pictured) instead of a side and had the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, you could truly taste the care they put into every aspect of the food. I will certainly be stopping back in next time I’m in town and I highly suggest that you do too!

First visit here. Had the Andouille sausage & Kale soup and crab cake sandwich for lunch. One word: fantastic! The soup had just the right amount of spice and generous amount of Kale. The crab cake was crispy and didn't have a lot of filling. Cooked perfect. Our server was great. They also make their own hot sauces that you can buy. Will definitely be back.

Where to begin.... The food here was amazing! The steaks are on a level that rivals any of the finest steakhouse I've been to. They were cooked to absolute perfection! Tender as could be. The most minimal of pressure required upon the knife to carve it up! So tender it just melted in your mouth! I mean, phenomenal! I would have posted pictures of it but everyone ate there's so fast that no pictures were to be had. It's one of the few times my gregarious family was mum. I did manage to get pictures of my dessert, Col. E.H. Taylor straight rye, (which I also had with dinner), which is a phenomenal rye. Their selection of bourbon/whiskey was excellent, as was their wine selection. The other picture was of their lava cake dessert. For one, you can never go wrong with lava cake and two, even though they've become a bit ubiquitous at many restaurants, these were, again, next level like everything else here. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to restaurant if I was looking for a top notch meal or looking to impress someone with my knowledge of the local cuisine! Highly recommend eating here!

Tl:dr – This place is for a fancy palate without having to cater the environment or prices to it.  I immensely enjoy smaller places in smaller cities like this as I feel the proprietor is able to do more compared to bigger city restaurants and I felt like they did it right, had soul and whoever is running the place is doing a great job. I’m in town for work and I’ve been trying to keep to a lean diet (Low carbs) and was trying to find something just right.  I stumbled upon The Butcher Station on one of the rating apps and was amused. At first, I had lunch there. In first thought, seeing the reviews and pulling into the shopping center – I had a feeling it was going to be a little done up and a little fancy.  I walked in and it was totally not like how I expected but there was nothing wrong with that. For lunch, I was able to keep it keto – I had a burger and subbed the buns out and had it on a salad and was satisfied with it.  No complaints, good ground beef patty and it was good.  The service was good, not in your face trying or not absent either – just there and honestly, I think that is the best way for it to be.  On top of things, I had a coffee with lunch and didn’t expect much either but it was brought along in a smaller French press serving and was a good coffee too!  They didn’t sell me, I’m not the type to jump up but I felt satiation. It was enough to curiously bring me to dinner as my coworker had decided to do the taco place (Which from appearance, looked good) but as I said above, I’m on a strict diet.  Again, it isn’t much to walk into but I was sat promptly – the menu was simple but I was able to enjoy dinner and I felt The Butcher Station out on this.  I ordered the half dozen oysters, two different types – they were just spot on and you could easily tell they were quality sourced.  I had the Denver steak that was one of the specials. The seasoning was just right on, I went with the recommended medium rare and while I’m more of a filet fan – I enjoyed it.  Everything was cooked just right with the temperature staying put just about until I finished.  The sides were enjoyable although I wish I could have tried some of ones that were more carb friendly as the mashed potatoes looked delicious and like they put some soul into them.

With ten beers on tap, this brewery impresses even the most experienced individuals in the fermentation world. One standout beer is their Loaded on Berry blueberry sour which received high praise for its exceptional taste. The atmosphere of the place has been compared to a speak easy vibe by previous customers.
Nice brewpub in the historic walking mall in Winchester, located above Roma restaurant. Had Gen 2 IPA and Pizza Bier which is an amber ale. Both were excellent! IPA was nicely balanced, hoppy start, relatively malty finish. The beers were better than the Greek salads we had, one with gyro, the other with falafel. They were just meh. Falafel balls were barely an inch in diameter, not enough flavor, gyro meat was also on the bland side and a bit dry. The pizzas we saw heading to another table looked fantastic. Will go for those next time.

The food was really good and so was the beer! For a small town nestled in the Shenandoah valley, I enjoyed everything about my dining experience and so did my picky spouse 😄. She chose the sirracha honey chicken pizza and I had the baked Tuscan pasta that I was nowhere close to being able to finish. I highly recommend this spot for a nice bite and craft beer. I'll likely eat here several times during my stay.

Quiet little brewery on the second floor of the pizza shop downstairs. Lo-key vibes, a handful of stool seats at the bar, and what looked to be mostly overflow four-tops for the downstairs crowd. Quick, friendly service. Say Less (Farmhouse Saison) was well above-average, and their Red Ale, Pizza Bier, was also tasty. No stickers merch, but guess what?! Still five stars!

The beers were excellent, with us spending the evening hanging out and talking in the comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be back, and would highly recommend Alesatian for craft beer and artisan food.

I came to here a while ago and needed to make sure I left a review! We were walking down Old town Winchester and were so hungry. We chanced upon this brewery right before we had another destination in mind. So glad we stopped here first. The pizzas are something to salivate over. at he ingredients are fresh and my favorite are the fresh cheese. The mozzarella are balled all over every pizza and it melted perfectly over the pizza. My favorite dish was the Greek Pizza. Fresh basil and tomatoes, with a very robust pizza sauce. I like my crust a little burnt and I had requested it and they didn’t disappoint! If you’re wanting an appetizer, it is a must you get the crab dip. They come with bread, toasted just right for a dipper into the crab. They have an assortment of beer, i mostly drink dark-stout beer. Their stout was a little heavy for me, so I didn’t need a refill. It paired perfectly with our meal. We went in the right time before dinner rush so we had a place to sit and enjoy our meal before the rush of beer drinkers came in. Pretty cool place, the outside doesn’t not look like it would be a brewery so we passed it the first time walking by. But we were so glad we came back and enjoyed it.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. We were passing through the area and decided to have dinner in Winchester. Restaurant staff was friendly, pizza was delicious… Excellent toppings and lots of options! Great crust….terrific salad….and really good local beer! We are picky about the restaurants we like… So take our word for it… This place is terrific and worth a visit!

I really enjoy the staff and atmosphere; however, their flights are huge compared to many other breweries and cost a little higher. I will continue to visit them as they are one of my favorite breweries

Love the community theater, great price for great entertainment. My school aged daughter loved it and wished it could have lasted " another 3 hours." We saw Alice in Wonderland. It was wonderful and the cast even did autographs after the show.

A fantastic community theatre that always pours its heart into everything it does. Great people, great shows, great passion. (A completely volunteer operated and non-profit organization to boot.)

Great little local theater with wonderful plays and staff. We have seen several productions here and enjoyed them all. The space is small and very intimate. Often the audience is pulled into the production by proximity to the players and that makes each play unique and special. Supporting this in the community is not very expensive and often a great way to meet some very nice people.

Well run little theatere in a former train depot. Never a bad performance. Often presenting realivant plays with open discussions after show. Supported with volunteer time energy and donations. Adjacent business os a jerk, not allowing parking. However, limited parking available with reservations. Other parking nearby.

Broken Window Brewing Company is a cozy brewery with an intimate setting and warm ambiance. The large windows allow plenty of sunlight during the day, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, including an 8-10 person bar area. While there is no to-go beer available at the moment, they have a diverse selection of drinks, and their deglutenized beer options are particularly popular among customers with Celiac disease.
Great beer that brew here, we had dopperbock and stout, awesome. Super friendly and very welcome staff. Dog friendly brewery. Love this place.

Indoor seating only at the bar or any of the many tables. Dog-friendly, as the owner's dog greets you almost immediately with a friendly wag. The Sometime Next Week cream ale was very yummy. Got two. And a sticker.

We loved stumbling upon this fantastically delicious brewery that specializes in deglutenized beer because one of the owners has Celiac, like myself. I got to try a few different beers and loved all of them! This is the first time I've been able to actually try any and all beers a brewery had on tap since I visited Portland so many moons ago. Can everybody please get on board with creating more deglutenized beer options at all breweries, because people like me will pay for it?! This place is awesome on the gluten-free front!

Shawnee Springs Preserve in Winchester offers a serene and healing experience, with its 0.26-mile long Healing Trail that winds through 14 acres of lush greenery. The trail is relatively easy to navigate, making it accessible for all visitors. The preserve is connected to the Winchester Green Circle pathway and features both paved and unpaved trails, as well as historic structures along the way.
Absolutely beautiful trail to walk and coming out of it is a short bike trail! Never knew this existed and I've lived here my whole life basically. Highly recommend doing this trail! Very quiet and its just overall a beautiful walk!

By the train tracks is a little nature preserve with trails inviting you to find solitude. Latte in hand from nearby Hopscotch Coffee & Records, I entered behind Evergreen. Walk by a sign that talks about the preserve’s history and pass through the forest, stopping at yoga stations and instructions that teach you how to hug a tree. It’s a small respite!

Decent place to park, walk through town and get a few quick miles in. No bathrooms (that i saw).
Sarah J — Google review
The small parking area was .2 mile from where Google thinks it is based on the address. It is off Openquon. Directions are on the website. It would be helpful to have a sign facing the other direction and about 40 feet closer to the road. As for the trail when you find it, it is a basic crushed rock trail through a small wooded area. A nice place to walk or run with your dog.
Karen B — Google review
First time here today. Very pleased, and I look forward to going back. Navigation sent me to the side of the park, not the parking lot. But a drove around and found it. The steam is very nice, "babbling brook" in many places. So are both the paved and unpaved trails. There are a few funny signs from the parks departments about yoga spaces, and hugging trees. Very nicely connected to the Winchester Green Circle pathway.

Nice trail. Make sure to wear bug spray. Some plants on the trail need trimming. It's dog friendly.

Very scenic in some parts. They have a section called "healing trail" as seen in the picture. It's not bad for a walk or leisurely bike ride. It is a little short though, so no go for long distance run or bike. The signs where the green circle trail was were confusing though.

Candy Hill Campground has received mixed reviews, but many visitors have found it to be an enjoyable and well-maintained property. The spacious sites, including luxury options with concrete pads, gas grills, and patio furniture, offer a comfortable camping experience. The campground features a large pool and a well-stocked camp store with a wide range of RV supplies.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We only stayed one night as this was our halfway point on the trip home, but we were very impressed! We chose this campground because it’s just a mile or two off I-81 — super convenient for easy on and off the highway — and could accommodate our large 45’ fifth wheel. We were scheduled to arrive after office hours but kept in touch with the campground, and when we arrived, we were greeted by Haley in the office. She was super friendly and even asked if we needed firewood or propane. After check-in, an employee escorted us to our site on a golf cart — a thoughtful touch after a long travel day. We had one of their luxury sites, which featured a large, level concrete pad with a patio. It made setup quick and easy! The site also had a gas grill, table, and chairs — a great surprise that meant I didn’t even have to set up our Blackstone for dinner. Honestly, this campground deserves a higher rating than the 3 stars it currently has. Yes, being close to the highway means there’s a bit of road noise, but we expected that and it didn’t bother us at all. We didn’t use the Wi-Fi, pool, or other amenities, but everything we saw looked extremely well maintained. The camp store was top-notch — an entire wall of RV parts and accessories, plus coffee, tea, snacks, souvenirs, and a great selection of t-shirts and hoodies. Everything was spotless, well-stocked, and well organized. Not only is this review from a happy customer, but also from a fellow campground owner — and we can truly appreciate all the thoughtful touches, attention to detail, and pride of ownership that went into this place. Overall, a great stay — we’d absolutely stop again when passing through.
Julie S — Google review
The campground is very well maintained. However, there are a great many rules that appear to be more for the beautification of the campground or convenience of the staff than the enjoyment of the people actually camping there. We usually put up a small, free standing dog fence. We asked about putting one up, because it does say in the rules no fences, however we have stayed at NUMEROUS campground that have that in the rules but once we explain we have mini dachshunds and a self contained fence that hooks to itself and does not require stakes in the ground everywhere we have ever stayed has allowed that type of fence. Once we were asked to take it down on grass cutting day-understandable. But Nope! Not here!, not allowed! period! I can understand a rule not allowing you to leave your dogs alone outside, we don’t do that. But it makes for a very inconvenient stay when we cannot hang out outside with our dogs unless on a leash. It is a pain to hook them up to a harness and leash every time we go out the door. Honestly, had we realized this we would have booked elsewhere, it made for a rough week staying there. Pool was nice. Again, the campground is well maintained and the staff are attentive, so if you don’t have pets this might be better for you.
Beverly B — Google review
Road noise is very bad, can't sit outside your camper and have a conversation, its so loud. Facilities are clean and well kept. Check-in went smoothly. Our problem occurred when my brother and sister-in-law came to pick me up and take me to a family event. Management first informed my wife that they wouldn't be allowed to pass the gate. Before we had time to advise them of that fact, they drove up and the manager very rudely told them to wait at the gate. When I walked to the gate to meet my brother, I met the manager who was doing some work near the entry gate. I suggested that he might consider being a little more flexible with his rule enforcement. After all they were merely picking me up and taking a quick look at our camper which they had never seen before. At that point, we would be headed out. His response (suggesting he was sorry I couldn't afford the required $10/person) was rude, unprofessional and left me promising to never return to his campground again. If you want to be treated with disrespect at a campground that has a lot of road noise and really is not very impressive, this is the place for you...

We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. The staff was friendly, the grounds well maintained and the "The Rockin' Trolley" was so much fun. The premium lots are large with nice patio furniture and a gas grill on a level concrete pad. The camp store is well stocked. The pool is very nice, there is also an arcade room. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great week at Candy Hill Campground. Everything was so well maintained and clean. All the staff we encountered were very nice. They take you to your site and assist you backing in. Great store. Stocked with everything you can think of. Great location with a lot to see and do in the area. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely stay again.

This campground was very nice and well kept. The dog park was large and most of the sites were great. Unfortunately some people still do not pick up after their dog which is very annoying. Beautiful pool and nice laundry room. Only negative is that the campground is right next to a major highway but I would still recommend this campground and would go back.
Bonnie A — Google review
Let me preface this review with the fact that we are full-time RVers. We stay at lots of campgrounds around the USA. Candy Hill is one of the top 15 campgrounds where we’ve stayed. We opted for a concrete pad near the pool, which was very level with excellent utilities. The campground is spotless. They are always tidying up the lawns and all the facilities are very clean. Don’t let traffic noise worry you. We didn’t hear anything from inside our RV. The convenience of the campgrounds location is well worth being a bit near the highway. Also, the town of Winchester is one of our favorite in Virginia. This was our first visit. If we come back, we will definitely stay at Candy Hill again.
Bill C — Google review
Spent one night here with our 34 ft fifth we had a back in site with water and 30amps. Sites are not overly big and fairly close together. Approach to campground was easy not far from highway, sites are large and level with grass and gravel surface. No busy roads near by so might was quiet. Pizza delivered to the site. Wonderfully detailed and well maintained historical park. This one doesn't have an auto tour option. Hike, bike or take a private shuttle tour of the property. They've also got a recently remodeled visitor center, don't miss the video map theater which really details the battle as it unfolded. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming throughout the property.

Great local spot for hiking and biking. Dog friendly. History is preserved well here, visitors should take time to read the signs and take in the sights. Unfortunately, many men lost their lives on these hallowed grounds. Various states do a good job having donated monuments to the park in honor of their fallen. Some soldiers who were killed here were as young as 16. As far as the actual park, the trails are well maintained and it is a nice challenge during runs or bike rides to take on the various hills. Some trails get very muddy after a good rain and stay that way due to topography. Good amount of parking, but it gets busy during the warmer months. Very cool museum and property across from the parking lot. Overall this is a great park that honors the local history well. All should visit to remember the sacrifices and ensure we don’t repeat it.

The visitor center was closed when we got there after 4 pm. The battlefields were open fields with wide gravel trails, some of which lead you to a creek where the trail was paved and there are tree lines and coverage. We got lost in the vast open fields, had to use Google Maps to get back to the parking lot. There are many loops, so take a photo of the trails sign at the parking lot. Saw folks running as well as walking the trails. Bring water, bring open fields you are exposed to the hot sun.
Hung D — Google review
This is a very clean park with several hiking trails and very dogfriendly. There are historic signs, monument, and a few cannons scattered around the park. Asides from that, there is not much to see. I didn't like the gravel trails, but some are grassy and a small section for pavement on the 2.66 mile trail loop closest to the visitor's center. It is nice to get away without having to go into the woods to walk the trail. With Covid, I didn't see anyone wearing masks. Whew! Because I forgot to bring one. Everyone was so friendly! Love the Winchester residents!! So refreshing to see friendly faces. I really enjoying my walk with my pups.
Tilly L — Google review
Great bit of Civil War history! Great walking trails, but the paved trail over Redbud Run needs quite a bit of trimming. Otherwise the trails are in great shape! I think when I went must be the near perfect time to go as the wild flowers were in full bloom. I don't think I've ever seen that many wild flowers in one place. I put in 3 miles on my loop hike and there are lots of trails I didn't even touch. I also didn't go into the museum, which I'm saving for next time.

We are so glad to have a winery and beautiful, dog-friendly, property right here in Winchester to spend the day without venturing too far out of town. As a dog mom and wine lover, James Charles is the best vineyard! In Winchester it is near plenty of things to do, and their wines are fabulous, staff is helpful and friendly, and most importantly they are dog friendly for pet parents! The food is also great alongside the wines.
Liz F — Google review
James Charles remains a good winery for their wines. Their service and food quality has declined over the last 3 years however. This may be partly caused by often being understaffed. The same person has to pour wines, prepare and serve the food, package wine club wines, and administer tastings. It isn't fair to the employee or the customers. We are longtime club members and it usually takes a few bad experiences before we drop our membership. We were members of their sister winery, Veramar, until it's service similarly declined. This is our third poor experience and will drop our membership since we belong to too many wineries to maintain a poor experience. I am still rating this winery a 4 because the service can be great and had been great in the past. Their white wines are also good, especially their Cuvee. Their food can be good although today the fries were raw and the pizza overcooked - likely due to having only 1 person working. You can see from my photos that the ambiance remains good.
Michael K — Google review
I had some reservations about James Charles because I thought it may be a bit commercial, and “new” without any real connection to nature and history, which are both important to me. So, the sunset view from the outdoor Adirondack chairs is pretty great — see pics. Having the lawn that fades into native countryside is also a plus. The inside is very 1980s, but still well done. The interior drawbacks and lack of a sense of history are made up for in the genuine and lighthearted employees, AND in the quality of the wines. I thought that, “The Founder” was excellent after a full tasting, and we enjoyed a bottle. I did not try their menu, but I did order 2 pizzas from the visiting pizza truck, “Three Fires - wood fired pizza”. The pizza was cooked to order, and was excellent! There was a wedding reception in progress in the auxiliary hall, and I appreciated how well this remained contained. I also would consider the number of children at the place a drawback, but I was able to find a place to chill without too much distraction, due to the large outdoor grounds and abundant seating. Enjoy!

Have been visiting Virginia for years (we are from New Yorks wine region) doing wine tastings, and had been recommended as a place to try by several other wineries. Finally was in the area and stopped in. Beautiful setting and building. Kyle was fantastic! Super friendly. The wine was as excellent as we had hoped! Just wish we could have chosen our own wines. We are far from novices at wine. I understand the members club, but as we live 6 hours away, it's not feasible for us. But overall a great experience, they did not disappoint!

First time visiting beautiful Winchester, Va. My wife and I wanted to find a nice winery to relax, have a few glasses of wine and have some lunch. So we pick James Charles Winery and Vineyard. We arrived and ordered us each a glass of wine along with a meat and cheese selection. We sat down and drank our wine over the next 20 minutes or so waiting on our food, which unfortunately never arrived. All along swatting away the Spotted Lantern Flies that kept landing on me and dealing with children running around our table. We finally gave up and found out that the host never put our order in. Paid for our 2 drinks and left. Extremely disappointing.

Charming place. Friendly staff. They had a nice variety of wines. We tried the Sauvignon Blanc which was delicious and refreshing but a bit drier than I prefer. I would still order it again though.. my wife tried the Cuvee de la Reine. She is not a big fan of sweeter white wines but she really enjoyed this one. In fact she liked I enough to bring a bottle home. We also had a glass of the Cab and the Arrivata 1913. They were both really nice. I am not an oenofile by any stretch but they were both complex and flavorful so they kept my palate's interest.. we also ordered food. The cheese pizza and charcuterie board were both on point. We are from NJ and stopped by on our way home after our Nephew's wedding. We are so glad we did a random search on maps amd found James Charles. We will be back to kick back and relax with the nice views and delicious wines.

A perfect place to kick off our Sunday wine adventure. Steve, just back from vacation, was incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming. We were excited to begin early and arrived right at noon—just as they were unlocking the door—and were greeted with warm hospitality from the start. The wine was exceptional: beautifully crafted with a range that catered to both dry wine lovers and those with a sweeter palate. Their cheese selection was equally impressive, featuring a special Father’s Day option that looked and smelled amazing. We’re already looking forward to visiting again and spending more time with Steve and Loretta. Many thanks for hosting us and setting the tone for such a relaxing weekend!

Wow, what a beautiful place. The tasting room is unbelievable! It is in the owners redone horse barn with gorgeous stone walls and the finishes are just so pretty. The staff are knowledgeable and some of the most accommodating and sweet people we have encountered at a winery. Oh my goodness, they have won all kinds of awards for their wines and their riesling is out of this world good! Do yourself a favor and go sit in this beautiful location (inside and out) and if you are lucky enough to encounter one of the owners (Loretta) she is not only extremely knowledgeable about her wines, but can tell you all about the french grape vines they have brought over and she is truly a delight~! We will be back for sure~ Thanks Loretta

The remains of a British fortress constructed in the 18th century under the guidance of George Washington can be found at Fort Loudoun Historic Site. This significant site was built during the French and Indian War, serving as Col. Washington's central command post for the Virginia Regiment and a defensive line stretching from the Potomac River to North Carolina. With an array of artillery totaling 24 pieces, this fort safeguarded and overlooked the nearby community.
“In 1756, during the French and Indian War, Col. George Washington proposed, designed, and supervised construction of the largest and most formidable fort on Virginia's colonial frontier. Equipped with 24 pieces of artillery, the fort served as Col. Washington's command center for the Virginia Regiment and a chain of defenses that extended from the Potomac River to the North Carolina border. Situated on the high ground north of town, the fort overlooked and protected the developing community. There really isn't much to see here. The signs are interesting and they tell a little about it. They speak of Washington digging a well but don't really say where it is. I didn't arrange for a tour but that might help.
Ty H — Google review
Visit to see George Washington’s fort to defend the first frontier of America. Great guide named David. Have to make arrangements for a private tour but can follow along with cell phone tour. Little museum with artifacts, books and maps open by appointment. The original hand dug well remains which is the focal point of visible history with an outline of the fort walls.
David K — Google review
Great historic site to visit if you're in town
Maria C — Google review
Aside from the historical markers and the paint on the street and sidewalks showing portions of some of the forts outline there isn't much to see. However once you look closer at the terrain and engage your imagination you can clearly understand why the fort was placed in this commanding location. Well worth a quick stop to view this location.
Jonathan H — Google review
There is not much to see here. There is a plaque that gives you information and lines that show where the fort extended out too, but now this is someone's house. They were understand and helpful but there isn't much to see.

Nice and quiet relaxing well maintained.. a little adventure especially for kids.. you can make your walk short or long... there are loops off the trail you can choose to explore as well.. love the amount of birds bugs and variety of trees and plants. There are parts of the loops that you may need to step up over natural rocks but makes it more unique. Twists and turns and a couple benches in the middle. Definitely worth it.
Nicole R — Google review
Very nice peaceful walk. Great for dog walking.
Jennifer J — Google review
Well maintained walking trails along with some Civil War history. There is also a pavilion, bathrooms, and a small playground for kids ages 5-12. Leashes dogs are allowed. Plenty of parking and lots of beautiful scenery. This area was home to the the opening battle of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign during the American Civil War-the Battle of Kernstown on March 23, 1862.
Timothy S — Google review
Beautiful park to walk alone, family or the dog. There are historical signs throughout the trail where you can read about the civil war battles fought here. There is a little playground area for kids (mostly rocks), a pavillion where you can enjoy a little snack and there are bathrooms which is a huge plus. I also like that they have poop bags for dogs throughout the park. I think there are 2 but i could be wrong. Beautiful views all over. There are a lot of shady spots here so even on a hot day its possible to walk here ir even ride your bike.
Pia B — Google review
Nice clean walking trail. Picnic area and playground. Dog friendly. And a rest room.
Chris W — Google review
This is a really fun combination of history, simple outdoor trails, and a small play set for the kids. I definitely recommend bringing your kids or pets.
Andrew — Google review
Very nice little park! Don't know how we didn't know about this little gem all the years we've lived here. A fun little "rock" playground my daughter loved, and a very nice trail around the park with kiosks informing you about the civil war battle on the premises.
Josh L — Google review
Rose Hill Park is an easy beginner level hiking trail. 90% of the trail is tarred and chipped with 2 trails that loop through the woods that place one back on the main trails. The trail itself is a 1.1 mile loop with only about 75 feet of elevation gain. As an added bonus, there are several informative markers along the trail about a Civil War battle that took place on the grounds in the surrounding area.

A humbling experience to walk inside the fort occupied by Federal troops during the 2nd battle of Winchester in 1863. Well maintained and good historical signage, both inside the fort and outside the earthworks.
Joe L — Google review
Remains of Union earthworks north of the town of Winchester, Virginia that bore the brunt of the Confederate assault in mid-June 1863, as the Army of Northern Virginia made its way north towards Gettysburg. Mosquitoes and other biting insects were terrible when I went.
Thomas M — Google review
Incredible opportunity to see such a rare and strong example of this fort. Honored to walk the paths around the fort of those who served. Sat on a rock and pondered what they would be thinking now....
Arhonda N — Google review
Just a small area to walk around. Several benches for seating.
Allison ( — Google review
Small, well kept site with signage to explain the battles that occurred there. The walls are still remarkably visible. Good for kids because the entire thing can be toured in 10-15 minutes.
Josh G — Google review
A hidden gem. Only earthen fort left in Winchester. Took part in all three Battles of Winchester. Nice tree lined hike. Not very large but the outline of the fort is visible and there are placards describing what happened.
Thom B — Google review
Quiet, loads of native plants. Nice signs to tell about the area. Benches to sit and enjoy tge area. Geo-caching.a lovely place to sit and contemplate the past.

Park
Very well maintained and quiet trails through all kinds of different sculptures/art pieces and benches to chill. You can enjoy the views or just hang with friends or by yourself. Especially in the fall the leaves and beautiful trees make for a very nice walk.
Aidan — Google review
Large parking lot, very nice trail system. Free to walk the trails and there is wildlife, forest and artwork all along the trails. We enjoyed this very much to help us break up our long ride. This stop was recomended by the local tourist info center and were were glad they pointed it out. It was hard to find however as this town is bigger then expected and we had a printed cheet of paper from the visirtor center that was missing some street names making it hgard to navigate. But once were were there the strees of the road mlted away as we walked a coupple miles enjoying nature.
Raymond G — Google review
So peaceful, beautiful and a lot of trails to explore.
Andrey L — Google review
This is a new park which opened the day before Thanksgiving. I used the MSV entrance this time but there are a few entrances for this park. Plenty of parking even on opening day. Some parts of the park are still under construction but there is so much to explore. The trails are well made, there are paved and turf/mulch trails. Dogs are allowed on a leash and I saw plenty of dog waste stations. You get to see some art, sculptures, rocks and such. The silo skyline mobile is very nice. I can definitely recommend it for the whole family, the kids loved running up and down the picnic mounds. This is a great addition to the city and I will definitely return to do some more exploring.
Pia B — Google review
The park is so spacious, clean.
FOOD S — Google review
Beautiful trails. They gave me a map at the gatehouse. The trails are hard packed gravel. Trails are well marked. There are ticketed areas, but the trails are free.
GrayBeard ( — Google review
Beautiful grounds. So peaceful and respectful of nature. You forget you're in the heart of the city.
Brandy W — Google review
Great walking trails. Dog friendly with several clean up stations. Not a super long or strenuous hike rather a relaxing set of paths with some slight inclines. Even has a connection to Jefferson Street behind Handley High School making it a nice bypass for those walking across town.

What a gem of a place tucked in beautiful, scenic hills and farms. The mead was delicious. My favorite was the wild flower, but I loved many of the other samples too. The owners and guests were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. I visited on a solo trip and they were the best company that brightened a rainy weather day. It was great to hear the origin stories of Misty Mountain Mead. I will definitely be back!
Kristin — Google review
A wonderful mead experience! Loved the mead, location, and people! Did a tasting and had a great conversation about bees and mead. Totally worth the side trip on our way from Niagara Falls to Chantilly. A must stop for mead lovers!
Jill S — Google review
Easily the best mead we've had! Mostly sweet and dessert-winey, absolutely fantastic if that's what you're looking for. Several great flavors to try, including a couple of drier varieties. Charming venue with great service and tasting options, definitely with the trip!
Roger H — Google review
Board games galore, quintessential country setting, well-read owners, sweet SWEET mead! Rick (owner/operator) gave us a FREE tour of how the mead is made. I informed him that most breweries/distilleries/etc charge $15 & up for such a service! He replied, "We don't charge friends just to brag!" Become a member of "the Horde" just by purchasing 4 bottles of mead! You'll also get one free glass of mead a month and an extra on your birthday! 😍🤩 That's basically four bottles FREE. You'll love the authentic Viking Runes showcased around the doorways and on the vats of mead themselves. Rick is a fount of knowledge who will be sure to entertain with his stories of the past. Come hang out! Sip some mead and learn a little something! Have some fun and play some games! We're all just the poor and downtrodden trying to get by so why not enjoy it with some mead? 😉 We will definitely be back at LEAST once a month 😘
Elizabeth K — Google review
Amazing mead! The best I've ever had! Definitely worth the trip! Great atmosphere, amazing people, and delicious mead! I would rate it 10 stars of possible. I wish they were open every day.

My friends and I were in Winchester this past weekend celebrating our friends birthday and we were SO happy to stumble across Misty Mountain Mead! We were immediately welcomed and Rick took the time to give us some history of mead and their business. Our server Sam was so kind and welcoming and gave recommendations for each of our individual tastes. Misty Mountain Mead was like nothing I’ve ever tried before, and you can tell how passionate they are about their product. My friends and I are from out of town and are already talking about coming back as soon as we can!
Emily T — Google review
We had an amazing time at Misty Mountain Meadworks! I tried a flight, and the range of meads was incredible. Don’t miss out on the hazelnut mead, or the lemon & honey. Can’t wait to come back.
Kirsten M — Google review
We recently visited Misty Mountains for a sampling of mead! They staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. We really enjoyed meeting the owner and hearing the story and their journey to starting the business. It was my first taste of mead and I was quite impressed! Will definitely be going back for more!

My children and I have spent some time here swimming over the 2019 summer and had a great time. Lifeguards are young and naturally judgmental but were quiet about their jokes/judgments some loud enough for some to hear, that was a little discerning. Trying to teach my young impreshenable three girls that certain things need to be kept to ourselves if they are not nice there is no reason to speak them allowed depending on circumstances.

Wonderful faire full of craftsmen and great food/drinks!! Wide range of prices and experiences, very family friendly and even pet friendly! My Dane loves to go and always gets a little treat from food vendors <3

Never been to a ren fair before. The people were nice and the food was good. I liked talking with some of the vendors and seeing what they had. I was a little disappointed they ran out of the stamp cards so early on in the day. Feel like it would’ve been fun to do while waiting between the events scheduled.
Kimberly T — Google review
We had a blast at the nighttime corn maze and hayride. There's plenty of parking, light snacks are available for purchase, and there's a photo opportunity set up inside the maze. Don't forget your flashlights!
Gabriela G — Google review
A fantastic renaissance festival! Great entertainment, caring staff, talented and friendly vendors. The food is good and affordable. Parking is easy in and out with minimal traffic. For a newish festival this is a definitely worth the trip. No long lines, and the night market on Fridays is really cool. Be sure to bring a cloak for cooler days and evenings. Stay for the pub sing, or the bonfire. This small faire packs a huge punch!
Anna M — Google review
We love Ravenwood and drive out from DC to visit for several years now. It's much more affordable than the Maryland Renaissance Faire, not as crowded, and just as enjoyable. Great for families and we felt totally comfortable letting the bigger kids running around on thier o3n doing scavenger hunts.
Ashley R — Google review
Love Ravenwood! Been attending for 3 years and every year is better and better. Way less crowded than the big Renfairs like MD or PA. Amazing food vendors, tons and tons of wonderful and friendly vendors to shop from, definitely gives you a good Renfair experience if you dont want to deal with big crowds. Jousting, Viking Encampment, Taverns and lots of different acts to see!
Dustin M — Google review
From the moment you walk through the gates you not only feel transported though time, you feel the hard work and care of every member of the cast and crew. The costuming is gorgeous, the story is compelling, and the variety of vendors is a sight to behold! And let's not forget the mead!! So many options offered by knowledgeable people who can answer any question. Definitely add this faire to your yearly schedule!

Timbrook Park is a small but charming park located near the police department in Winchester. It features uncovered picnic tables, a kids' play area, and benches that are well-shaded. While there are no public restrooms available, it offers a read and share library where visitors can borrow and return books. The park is within walking distance of various restaurants in Old Town Winchester, making it a convenient spot for families to enjoy some outdoor time before or after dining out.
The community garden is amazing! And even though it's right next to the circle, it's not too loud.
Hannah D — Google review
Small park with a swing, slide and pavilion. Has bike rack.
GrayBeard ( — Google review
This is a very old and small playground that seems to have a homeless person issue at the park and in the area. There is a little free library, but if you have children, you're better off driving the extra 6 minutes to Jim Barnett park. Minimal parking.
Whittni G — Google review
Its a small playground but the benches are close to the play area and they are very well shaded! For my two little girls it was perfect. There is also a read and share library where we got a book and will take one back the next time we go.
