Villasimius

Villasimius is a coastal town in southeast Sardinia, Italy. The Marine Protected Area Capo Carbonara has barracuda, seagrass meadows and dive sites. Nearby, the Stagno di Notteri lagoon is visited by migrating flamingos in winter. Starting from the beach of Porto Giunco, the Sentiero delle Cave path leads to a 16th-century watchtower. West are the medieval Old Fortress and the white-sand Spiaggia del Riso beach.

Beautiful beach, with crystal, calm water and beautiful landscape. The only downside is the parking which cost 10 euro visiting at the end of September . But I can see the appeal. It must be really crowded during the summer which would put people off.
The water is absolutely paradise, but the beach is way too crowded, which makes it hard to fully enjoy. Only paid showers are available, and parking costs 10 €. There are definitely better options for beaches on the island if you’re looking for a more relaxing experience.
Superb place, incredible beautiful water colors, a type of beach where you can enjoy all day, plus find good food & drinks for decent prices on the beach. As well suitable for all kids who can play in the water safely.
by far our favorite beach in villasimius area after visiting a few of them!! the water is perfectly crystal clear with no seaweed and we thought there was plenty of room, not as crowded as other beaches!!
Great beach, lots of sand and nice water. Beautiful Cliffs around this beach. Unless you want to walk a ways it does cost $6-10 euros to park close, and $25 euros to get an umbrella by the beach. Has a bar and some food also.
The water of the sea is really clear and crystal, the sea is amazing! The beach is overall okey because there’s not much facilities like toilets (there’s only one public toilet which is 50 cent) or shower. The beach clubs are extremely expensive. There are 3 of them, two of them are offering 2 beds and 1 umbrella nearly 40 euros, but it’s impossible to find places after 13:00. Also, the Delfino beach club is crazy expensive like 2 sunbeds with big umbrella is 180 euro (the normal umbrella ones are already sold out after 13:00). If you have your own beach blanket to sit and umbrella, recommend to go there! One more thing: parking for a car costs 10 euro.
Very nice beach but the parking is 10€ even if you want to stay an hour. I don’t think it was worth it to be honest. The kiosks around are terrible and the chairs and umbrellas extremely overpriced.
Beautiful beach, amazing water good bar to eat and have a drink at the end of a marvellous day

1st of May, more crowded than we hoped for, but still very nice experience. Water was cold, it's still spring, however we went in several times. Colors of water are incredible. Definitely worth visiting during off season
Not worth it! Paying 15 euro for parking, and another optional 35 euro for renting an umbrella with loungers. The beach is nice but overfilled with people and there is confined space where you can swim, and the rest of the beach is reserved for boats. In Sardinia are much better and nicer places to see for free.
Great looking beach with 2 different environment, on one side you have the sand, on the other side rocks and deep blue sea. On the sandy side you have a hint of pink sand. The only negative part is that it’s about crowded, even now end of June. Other thing is that significant part of the beach is reserved for boats.
Simply a magnificent beach. Snow-white sand, clear sea, magnificent views. You can see many different fish in the water. The downside is that there are no sun loungers, and they charge €15 for parking. Although there are no services on the beach.
Fantastic beach with differing aspects - You have the sandy beach (which is quite busy), and the pebble beach (which is pretty deserted). The pebble beach has a lovely cliff-top walk that lets you look down over both beaches. The parking is about 7EUR (I think), but gets you free parking for the whole day throughout Villasimius. There are a couple of bar/snack shacks as well if you need refreshments.
One side was clean and has no waves... perfect for babies and other side has many dirt... so the clean side was really good. Has parking and 3-4 mins walking to reach the beach. There is tape water before leaving to the parking to clean ur feet from sand
Beautiful sandy beach, but too crowded even in June during weekdays. Parking 15€/day.
Even in September it’s best to arrive early if you want to secure your ideal spot, as it can get quite crowded. The beach itself is very beautiful, with clear water that’s great for snorkeling and plenty of space once you’re in the sea.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Although it was just the beginning of the season and not everything was as smooth as if the season is fully on, it was great to see how the hosts were taking care of these issues to make the best out of it! We felt very welcoming and well treated. Communication was great, easy to contact and very proactive! Also the location is very beautiful, just directly next to the beautiful beach and closely enough to the city center. just great! We would recommend staying at Puerto Giunco residence. Thanks for having us!
We stayed here for two nights. The room was really nice with cute small terrace and big garden. The woman at the reception was friendly and kind, she even offered us drive to the center of the place. There is also a terrace with tables for coffee and breakfast of your choice (you can choose from various jams, cereals, croissants, etc.). Beach is very near, just few minutes of walking as well as the lake where you can see flamingos. If you want to rest and enjoy in sunsets on beachside, this is perfect place for it.
Me and my wife had a wonderful stay there in October 2021. The rooms are very nice, spacy and clean. The hotel owner very polite and helpful in any matter. The hotel itself has a perfect location because of the close proximity to the beach and for us this region is in any case one of the most beautiful places on Sardinia. Only one aspect may cause a minus point - breakfast - since there is no fresh bread and many things come from plastic bags. But, get yourself some fresh bread somewhere else and enjoy your stay in this location!
The Residence is a real paradise, rooms and territory are so cozy and comfortable! An amazing beach is so close to your door. But the main point were Paola and Pietro, these guys made our vacation unforgettable! Any question or any request will be managed immediately, they were so kind to us as no one did ever! Thank you guys, you did my journey awesome, when I'm in Sardinia the one&only place I would choose it's Porto Giunco Residence.
Very pleasant and nice place! Facility is so clean, not luxury but quality... I like it. And best of all, the owner, Andrea is great guy, very friendly, helpful and willing. If you will have any problem, he will help you to solve it.
Fantastic place; nice people, apartments almost on the beach. Don’t search for other place, just book it :)
It's a very cool place. The service was very nice and helpful. I recommend. I hope to come back here someday
Absolutely perfect, clean, A/C'd, staff the most helpful I have ever met. Thank you.

Among the beaches of Villasimius this is the one I personally preferred, it is made up of three small coves, the sand and water are excellent. Reservations are recommended but not required, at 9am on a weekday there were no problems getting in. Car parking costs €10 per day but with the same ticket you can park at all the other beaches in the municipality but not in the urban parkings of the village. If you move to Punta Molentis beach you have to pay an extra 1€ per person, but this beach in its sandy part is smaller, however in low season on weekdays it is possible to access it without reservation.
Beautiful sandy beach, but with a lot of seaweed. There were waves. It was not crowded, parking 12 €/day.
Loved this place. Parking if come early is available right in the bottom. 12€ per day. Great view from the top and stunning on the beach itself. Was a bit windy which made sun bathing a bit tricky but the rest was amazing. On the entrance to parking we were asked if we have a reservation but we hadn’t. It was around 8:30 in the morning and we were able to get in no problem.
Beautiful beach among the best in Villasimius. Three small sandy coves with shallow turquoise water. Parking is 10 Euros a day, and there's limited availability, though.
Absolutely incredible beach. Perfect for families with small children given the shallow water areas. Staff at the private beach are also great. I would suggest the private beach since they have lifeguards on duty and watch carefully for children and watercraft. Reserve a gazebo if you want to feel like royalty without the royal cost. Get there early for parking though or you'll have a slight hike getting to the beach.
Beautiful location, not crowded, we parked on the street as they told us that the parking was full. Windy on the day we visited the beach. Good restaurant.
It was a cozy beautiful beach with a very clean and wonderful water! Its not that big but there 2-3 beaches are next to each other where you can chose to sit down and enjoy the view /water! Its 14 min drive from Villasimius, its better to book before going there cause usually it’s not that easy to find available spots !
One of the nicest beaches on the south Sardinia. Big parking place, beach offering a lot of places isolated from the crowds

Beautiful beach. There are some rocks in the middle of the sea (50m from the beach) you can reach swimming and sea lots of fish. I went end of June on a Monday not so crowded. Special kudos to Puma the lifeguard of the beach in charge on the Lido. Very welcoming!!! And attentive to all.
Beach is very windy but with pleasant sand. Water is shallow. Beach is long but without any restaurant or bar. Nearby restaurant is in park behind parking spot.
All the beaches in Villasimius are stunningly gorgeous, I wouldn’t say that Campulongu is the 🔝 1, but I have to say that it’s extremely relaxing, the sand in the water is super comfortable to sit on, on the beach there are more locals than tourists. I spent last Sunday there the whole day, the sunset is amazing as well
Turquoise blue and clear water! Weather cleared up by the time we travelled over to this beach. The sea is so clear and you can spot baby jellyfish and small fish, the sand surface once you get past the pebbles is so soft on your feet and the water temperature is perfect. We managed to park easily as there’s parking not far from the beach near a basketball court, free of charge (September 2023), there’s not many facilities that we could see but we brought our own food and drink. Good beach for a sunset too!
Very light-colored beach and wonderful sea, gradually sloping – great for children. Downside: the beach is very narrow, alternating between public areas and private/hotel-equipped ones, and there are no refreshment points along the beach. Limited nearby parking.
It's one of the best beaches I already have been, very clean and crystal blue water, we can see lots os fishes and sea life. The water was quite cold but we could have a very good bath and spent some time in the sun...we will be back for sure!
Nice beach. Decent price for lounges and funny life guard called Puma always full of advice.
Very nice long beech with nice sand. Can get very breezy though so the sun umbrellas may go for a meander if their own. Rental of chairs difficult if not there first thing in the morning (€30). Worth a visit.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Almar, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Even though my husband and I planned this trip together, I still wanted to surprise him a little. I wrote to the hotel beforehand, and when we checked in, the reception team congratulated us. Later, we found a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in our room. I really appreciated that the hotel took care of my request. The room was basic but comfortable. The gym was small but decent, with essential equipment, and the staff there were friendly and offered helpful advice. The pool area was spacious and quiet, and the beach was easily accessible. The hotel even had its own designated area with arranged sunbeds and umbrellas. Breakfast was generous, and I loved how little oil the cook used for the omelet. The buffet dinner was simply amazing — we were impressed by both the quality and variety. It was exactly the relaxing holiday we wanted — we didn’t even leave the hotel! With tennis, padel, and basketball available to book, you can still keep active. We also noticed that the hotel staff engage with children, which would be a great bonus for families traveling with kids. Highly recommended!
Good hotel but definitely not 5 star. Our room was a newly renovated suite which was lively and big. The rest of the hotel is a bit tired and simple which doesn’t match the newly renovated room style. We stayed early June and service staff were not attentive and were slow. Local and Italian guests were attended to first. No iron or steamer provided food rooms and have to use laundry service for any ironing needs. Only allowed one beach towel for the stay, we asked each day for new ones whilst returning old ones but were told hotel policy is one per day. Overall just good. Location to the beach is great and the lake.
A perfect and quite resort in an amazing location. During our stay, when a family member unexpectedly needed medical assistance, the team went above and beyond to help with hospital arrangements, transportation, and support throughout the entire process. Their kindness and care made all the difference.
Very nice place but I would not consider this as a 5 star. The location is in the middle of nowhere so you would expect to have nice food on the resort. Food is very bland and tasteless. We ended up eating out every day. Breakfast is awful. The swimming pool is 2.10 metres all round so if you are not a confident swimmer, like myself...do not book. There is no area in the pool that is less than 2.10. Bad design. Actually ruined my holiday. Whoever designed the pool should be sacked. I think that is one of the reasons why no one was hardly in it! Our rooms were ok but very small. Would not visit again but i will say that the staff are very welcoming. 4 star at a push.
We have been visiting this hotel for a while, always very accommodating, with wonderful beach, accommodation after renovations and absolutely breathtaking food. The disappointment comes when it comes to enhancement of etiquette, even 4* hotel requests for men long pants for dinner, here you see men in shorts, slippers or beach pants. Also, many people outside of hotel use beach equipments and no one seems to be bothered by that - it is not very much comfortable having so many non-guests around. Small things pull the overall level a bit lower than this 5* hotel deserves.
This hotel is way overpriced for what it is. The room we were in had an air conditioning that made a high pitched whine and didn’t cool off the room. The pictures on the booking.com site and on the hotel website were not accurate for our particular room. The balcony showed a nice dining table and chairs and a sofa/ loveseat. What was there was an old wooden table and two wooden chairs with peeling varnish and rust. The “ garden “ view was literally a wall of overgrown trees and vegetation. The pools all close by 6-7 because the dinner takes place by the pool. They show all these great photos of their pool lit up in the evening but it’s closed to swim and it’s just decoration for their expensive buffet dining tables. It says beach front but it’s not truly beach front as you take a shuttle or you can walk quite aways to the beach so not my definition of beach front.
Beautiful property with delicious food and excellent staff. I was there at the beginning of the month with a group from all over the world. All the staff I encountered were very attentive and polite, especially Bruno at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, Simone & Chiara by the pool area and Andrea driving the shuttle to the beach.
Great resort! Wide beach, powder sand, good and war sea. Food is excellent especially if you like seafood. Beef and fois gras was the best for me.
