great scenery. however, a strange, purple haired woman unsheated her sword and yelled "i weep for the departed' as she engulfed me and the other visitors into a black hole where she slashed us and reality itself. still a 10/10 though, would come again
Beautifull place with nice water and rocks! In the beginning it’s really cold but if u mostly be in the water it will be less bad. Definitely reccomend!!!
An impressive place, definitely worth visiting and a person to experience their own adventure. You need aqua shoes because the water is quite cold, as well as a dry bag for luggage, they are sold in the parking lot. In places the water is deep, but everyone can explore as far as they want. They offer a variety of adventures, horseback riding, kayaks and boats on the river.
Lovely place with stunning, picturesque sites, definitely worth visiting. But the river is freezingly cold, literally could not keep my feet in it for more than ten seconds. Rafting is a must and we chose the first one to offer us this, at the very beginning of the tourist site. All in all, really well-organized, and definitely we will come again some day, just fully- equipped next time, to be able to explore more of the canyon.
The best excretion in the area... One of the best rivers to walk and swim in Greece... Really worth the visit and try some of the activities in the river like horse riding, zip line, cayak etc.... Highly highly recommended really impressed with the area...suitable for all ages from very young children
"Are you far from the river?". Our trip to the River Acheron was the highlight of our recent holiday in Parga. It is a truly extraordinary experience which I will never forget. The water is refreshingly cold and it gets so deep at points at the Gorge that you may have to swim. There is also rafting, kayaking and horse riding. There are plenty of places to eat in Acheron, beautiful open-air stores and bathroom facilities.
Life changing experience. Be prepared for cold swims and a bit of climbing. Bring swimming shoes though, or buy some before entering! Truly an incredible experience that everyone should go through at least once in their life.
Beautiful place not to be missed if you’re nearby

Everything was literally perfect! Starting from the guys at the reception, who were very helpful to accommodate us best also on our wishes. The hotel rooms were very clean and the food was perfect. Also the staff were very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back again. Thank you!
One of the BEST hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and always willing to help. The service throughout the entire stay was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious—truly next level. The views, the beach, and the service provided there were beyond amazing. Everything about this place was perfect. HIGHLY recommended. We will definitely be returning!
This time my experience was completely different — and in the best way! The hotel is still wonderful, with its beautiful views, spotless rooms, and perfect location near the beach. But the biggest change was at reception: the gentleman who welcomed me was super friendly, helpful, and made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. It’s amazing how much a warm smile and kind attitude can elevate the whole stay. Well done I also want to make a special note of the guys who work in the bar-restaurant where breakfast is also served 🥞 They are very friendly and cordial, bravo to all of you. now everything matches the beauty of the place!
Fantastic service from we arrived until we left. If I could give more stars I would!! Help with luggage, always a smile and help when needed. Lovely room, with the most amazing view. Short walk into Parga, with lots of nice restaurants. Don’t miss out on Valtos Beach own restaurant though!! We had lunch there and it was really nice! Again the staff was really nice and helpful! Thank you for a lovely stay!
This hotel is very good due to its location and very friendly staff. The hotel itself is very modern and of a high standard. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The food quality in the restaurant is very good and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning in the nice setting next to the pool. The walk into Parga centre is approximately 15 minutes, however we stopped at Mikes bar for a cocktail which was a nice way of breaking up the journey. There is also the option of the little boat taxi which seems to be quite regular. As far as our room was concerned it was just ok. We had a two bedroom apartment which had lovely views to the sea and was quite spacious. There were a few things which let it down. Firstly the bathroom was quite old and dated and could do with modernising. We has a bathtub instead of a shower which meant standing in a bath which had a sloping bottom. It was a little dangerous stepping over the bath edge whilst standing on a slippy sloping surface. I couldn’t figure out how to fill the bath as it seems the water can no longer be diverted from the shower so the bath was useless anyway. Another thing to mention is that there were no full length mirrors anywhere in the apartment which my wife and daughter found to be a problem. The only mirrors available had no plug socket near so using a hairdryer was a challenge. We really loved the hotel and our stay here. We would happily stay here again but maybe would not book the two bedroom apartment.
Nice hotel with good service in Parga. Great location by the beach, but parking can be tricky if you don't find a lucky spot. Pool closed too early and food was just okay, overall good experience but felt overpriced.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, its fresh and modern. Quite clearly had some serious money spent on it. The staff are fantastic and cant do enough to help. However its not without its small problem, there were a few issues which let it down. We booked through TUI, (rated 3☆) and was expecting €2 room tax, but when we got there, its official rating is 4☆. We were there for 3 weeks, we truly didn't expect €210 room tax. This was a massive shock for us. Sunbeds: there aren't enough. If you want one, then get up at 7.30. (Otherwise forget it). Anyway they have hotel beds on the beach so not all's lost. And we actually prefer the beach anyway, However, these are charged at €15~20 per pair. So thats another €300, that we wasn't expecting. With no discount for hotel guests, and no 'eat in our restaurant ' incentive. Then when you do rent a hotel beach sunbed, you can't take your own food & drinks. The pool suffered an algal bloom of some sort. the water was murky green for at least a week to ten days. I wouldn't have let my dog swim in it, let alone guests. Our bathroom had an occasional foul smell. It would be fine for 3 or 4 days, then the next day it would be back. It would just come and go occasionally. I suspected the shower grid. In conclusion: ive no doubt it was rated 4☆ for a valid reason, but im not convinced that it should still be rated 4☆. It's probably the most modern and cleanest greek place we've stayed in, but i've stayed in just as good 3☆ establishments. We had a really nice time, but for what we spent and what we received, it could have been better.
We’ve been back for a third time and we just love this place. The staff, the hotel, the food, the location - everything. We love this place and will be back for sure.

This is definitely worth the walk. The views from the castle are spectacular. Although the walk around some of the castles paths are a little rocky and uneven to say the least, given good footwear and take your time and care they are worth the effort. The walk from Parga is in itself an uphill effort, with lots of little shops and places to eat and drink on the way. And the best but is it's free to explore.
There is parking nearby. The castle is open till 9pm in the summer, there is no entrance fee. Once you are there you can enjoy a mesmerizing view. There is no option for walking to the top with a stroller but you can reach the first level from where you can still enjoy a great view.
Very interesting place to wander for an hour or two. Some impressive remains and, aside from some areas taped off for safety, pretty much allowed to explore everywhere. Would be good to see some info plaques around, but wiki will give you the history of the place. I didn’t visit the shop or museum so can’t comment on either
The Venetian Castle of Parga is a must-visit! The walk up is a bit steep, but once you reach the top you’re rewarded with stunning panoramic views over Parga, the bay, and the Ionian Sea. The ruins themselves are fascinating to wander through, with plenty of little pathways and hidden corners full of history. There are also cafés inside where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. A perfect mix of history, views, and atmosphere – definitely worth the climb!
Everytime I walk into an old church, castle or big ruin I start thinking ”how the heck did they build this hundreds years back in time. The same question now. This is an old ruin that was built to protect Parga from invasion. From land and see. There are a lot of dark rooms and passages all over. A nice view to both side of Parga and the see. In the middle of the ruin you can find a restaurant. Didn’t try that today. Interested hour spent there.
The castle is in the city center. It's fascinating to see the cannons that defended Parga centuries ago. There are some excellent photo opportunities from the top. You can see the beach and the island clearly. However, I found the castle to be in disrepair.
The fort is a fascinating reminder of Parga’s strategic position between empires during far more turbulent times in history. It’s a pity that only the ruins remain and that there is no museum to provide more context. Still, it’s well worth a visit – not least for the spectacular views it offers over the surrounding area.
The castle itself is not a great condition, but its worth visiting for the great views! It is free to enter and there is a nice caffe there.

"Excellent Food and Dining Experience!" I had an amazing time at the Lichnos Beach Hotel & Suites, and the food was definitely one of the highlights! The variety of dishes was impressive, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. From the fresh seafood to the well-prepared local specialties, each meal was a treat. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the flavors were rich and authentic. If you're a foodie, this place won't disappoint. Highly recommend enjoying their dining options during your stay!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property is beautiful and very well-maintained. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to help with a smile. The beach area and the mini club were both fantastic — perfect for a relaxing and fun family vacation. The food and drinks were also delicious, with plenty of variety and high quality. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect holiday. It was truly an excellent experience!
Perfect place to be for your summer vacation! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and equipped. Very kids friendly and provides the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoyment. We had an outstanding stay! Highly recommended!!
Highly recommend this place great atmosphere, delicious food, and very polite staff. This is my second visit, and it keeps getting better every time. Special thanks to Andromaqi for taking such great care of the children, Esmeralda, Asiia for the excellent service, and Chrysa for the warmest welcome!
An amazing stay at Lichnos Beach Hotel! We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and always helpful. The location is stunning, right by the beach with beautiful views. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the entire place felt very well maintained. It’s definitely a place worth returning to – we’d love to come back!
Very bad service. Small and cheap rooms. Beautiful nature. Difficulty to communicate with the staff. When we arrived before anyone welcomed us the lady at the reception wanted us to pay some additional fees even though our whole stay was already prepaid. You feel like a walking wallet all the time.
We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. There are a few advantages of this hotel that I can mention. The cleanliness of the hotel and the beachside restaurant with a beautiful view are definitely highlights. However, there were also a few things that we experienced for the first time in a hotel. For example, the beach beds were organized based on room numbers. We stayed for 10 nights, including breakfast and dinner, but we weren't allowed to use the first three rows of sunbeds near the water. I would have preferred to relax on the sunbeds near the sea with the sound of the waves. Another issue was that there were no walking areas near the hotel, so you had to take a taxi to the city center of Parga if you wanted to walk around. The hotel rooms were small, but the balcony view was beautiful. The staff were kind.
This place is wonderful! A peace of heaven in earth. Quiet, cleaned, marvelous beach, friendly staff and delicious food. My family loved this hotel and everything in it. Dimitri was the chef of thr buffet, very polite and kind person who became my friend! Thank you so much Dimitri! Thank you so much Lichnos Hotel! I will surely come again! Totally satisfied! 💕 💕

A very well conserved fortress, interesting for visitors. The most valuable thing is the unique view over the entire cost and the city of Parga
Great place to go at sunset! Wonderful views over Parga! Wear walking shoes and rugged under foot!
Abandoned castles and forts are awesome. Bring a flashlight to explore the deep areas of the castle, and watch out for rocks on the ground so that you don't trip. I liked Ali Pasha best, but this is certainly worth the trip due to its convenience, restaurant, and scenic views.
We took the Parga train to the castle, very informative guide telling us the history and timeline of the area and the castle. There are fantastic views from the top of the tower and hidden tunnels to walk that go right round the tower. I would definitely recommend this place as a great place to visit.
Went on mini train very interesting lots of info included with lovely guide called Daphne
Long walk up from Voltas beach 2.55 Miles great views from the castle of Parga , some information boards about the history of the castle also in braille.
The Castle of Anthousa is a fascinating historic site just outside Parga. The ruins are atmospheric and surrounded by beautiful greenery, with great views over the area once you climb up. There isn’t much signage or information, but the setting itself makes it worth a visit. A nice stop if you’re exploring around Parga and enjoy history and nature combined.
It was a wonderful experience! The view is very nice and the castle is in a good state, there is also a small tunnel you should visit. The entrance is free and there is a parking space near the castle.

Beautiful bay with clear, shallow water and a cozy beach bar. Easy to reach via short stairs. We arrived at 11 AM and all sun beds were already taken - come early!
Nature and the sea as well as the whole ambience with one cafe are phenomenal!! A must visit if you are in the area. You should arrive by 9 in the morning because there are very few sunbeds and umbrellas. If you have your own, you can do it whenever you want... Once again, the beautiful beach and sea
This is an absolutely stunning beach. It has a parking area and steps down to the beach (not ideal for those with mobility/access issues). It is a sandy/shingle cove with the most crystal clear sea, wonderful for a refreshing swim. The water is calm and was ideal to paddleboard. There is a small cafe serving drinks, sandwiches and if you purchase food/drink the use of the sunloungers/umbrellas is free. We visited the first week of July and by 10am on a week day the beach was full, It was busier on the Saturday. What a wonderful beach, the only thing to note is that the only toilet is a portaloo, located halfway up the stairs. Oh and there were some friendly goats 🐐 on the beach.
Stone size sandy beach in a nice little bay with clear water great for snorkeling 🤿 This beach is also crowded in the summer time. We arrived around 11:00 and there was no sun beds available. There is a small walk from the parking place to the beach. The bar is a beautiful spot to drink and get some pictures.
Hidden gem, crystal waters and beautiful beach! Recommend to go early in the morning because it gets crowded. Free sunbeds only if you take some drinks at the bar. 30 min from Parga👌🏻
One of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. Combination of pebbles and sand, with many rocks you can climb in the sea. I saw wild goats on the beach when reaching it out in the morning. After 10:30 in the weekend, however, gets extremely crowded so not really comfortable. There are also sunbeds and a bar serving a variety of drinks, also they make sandwiches if you are hungry.
One of the most beautiful beaches on that part of the coast.. Suitable for diving.. there is a lot to see.. A large space for parking, from which there are about 50 steps leading to the beach. The only downside is that it can be crowded
A truly picturesque beach, surrounded by mountains and blessed with crystal-clear waters. It’s peaceful and not very busy, which makes it perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing swim away from the crowds. There’s also a cute little café nearby where you can grab a drink or snack while enjoying the view. A hidden gem well worth visiting!
